Eli a Titus The Perfect Podcast. It's once again the
week sixteen edition of e J Versus the Degenerate, and
of course we were joined by America's very degenerator himself, Zachary.
What's up, buddy? Sorry? Started a little bit late to night.

(01:19):
We had a little bit of family uh issues, got
homework to be done and project that we finished apparently,
and he needed help, and so how to do daddy stuff? Anyway?

Speaker 5 (01:29):
Is that?

Speaker 3 (01:29):
What's U? Buddy?

Speaker 5 (01:31):
Not much? Man? Did he put my little move wait
till the night before to tell us, daddamn, I got
a project I gotta do well.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
They started on Monday and then like he's like, oh Dad,
I gotta finished apart and I thought he was done.
He started today earlier. I thought he was done. And
then he's like like, oh I gotta finish this part.
Like you're kidding me, right, you mean the last two
hours you weren't. You were like never mind? So it's
screwing up my scrip, my entire night. So anyway, li'sten
to the Power rankings. We got lost up on this
podcast day well powers, of course we have the best
bets of Week sixteen. I won this week barely. It

(02:03):
came on to the last night's game. You picked Miami.
I picked you over, not the over, but the under.
It wasn't a game and I got the wait hold on,
there's no no, no, no, no no no no, what's over? Sorry?

Speaker 5 (02:14):
I have the over?

Speaker 3 (02:14):
And you know what I mean? I won my one game,
so now and then we'll we'll obviously we'll pick also
our college will playoff first round predictions. Oh go start
this week. And then I got a little NBA top
if you want, I want, I want to you tonight.
So anyway, let's say the bottom five? What is you
bottom pipe this week? In the NFL?

Speaker 5 (02:35):
All right, my team redeemed itself just a little bit.
Thank God for our backup quarter back this season, giving
me hope every once in a while on a victory.
So when went the tried and true worst team in football,
the Raiders?

Speaker 3 (02:53):
Yep?

Speaker 5 (02:55):
Now I kind of feel bad putting this team so
and the other teams behind it have almost nothing going
for it. But you did lose to Washington. So Giants
at thirty one.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
Okay, so far we have the same bottom two, so keep.

Speaker 5 (03:14):
Going Tennessee at thirty, twenty nine A Arizona and at
twenty eight ALF Cleveland.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
So I was almost there, refew to we have we
have the same bottom three. I got thirty two Draders,
thirty one Giants, thirty Titans, A Poccardos also in there.
But I'm twenty eight, the twentynin my Jets, the Jets
twenty nine. Honestly, I don't find the bottom five even
interesting anymore. I just don't. I really don't. It's just like, okay, whatever,
you guys suck, accept it. Except it's in a position

(03:46):
and we're good with that. So let's get in the
top five. I have a sick up my top five,
the top tennis this week. Actually number ten.

Speaker 5 (03:51):
You got at number ten, Philly. I'm not not gonna
leave them out. The Super Bowl champs. Still, I deserve
to be on the list.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
I get it. I get it. Ten for me, you
had the Jaguars, Jaggie Wars, the doll Finally they are
they are, They are growing on me. They are they
Ian Colem should be definitely in the coach a year conversation.
They have done a really really good job in growing
this thing at big, big game. It's never this weekend
of a gut check game to where they're at if

(04:20):
they can measure up with the elite in the AFC.
So we'll see other place, all right.

Speaker 5 (04:24):
No. Nine, he got at number nine. I have your Jaguars.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
Oh dull I mean I need I need that SoundBite.
Actually I need that sound bite. Nine for me, I
got the again. You you you don't you don't want
to talking about them? But they have ten wins a year.
Nobody's talk about the Niners, but they got ten this
year with all those injuries. It's it's insane.

Speaker 5 (04:52):
So number eight, number number eight, I I have your
forty nine ers brock party. He's coming around. He's looking
good right now. So hey, that whole team is shaping up.

Speaker 3 (05:05):
Number eight for me new another new you being to
the list though, And this team, I can see a
world with this team from Super Bowl, the Houston Texans.
They are dominating, They're playing good football, that defense is live.
The Chiefs out of the playoffs efficiently, and the Ravens
might like mister playffs two. Also, all seventeens make the
plays this year in the AMC all live, including the Texans.

(05:28):
Just say bigger runs on a fantastic job with that
With that team, I remember they started owing three this
year three Lucy stripped for a trunk of a year
and all they done since then has won what nine
of the last eleven games, So there you go, seven
for you.

Speaker 5 (05:48):
This one is gonna pitsch off. They even managed to
win this past weekend and they are still dropping like
a rock in my list.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
It's oh, I knew it. You bastard.

Speaker 5 (06:04):
I mean, come on, old man, Rivers and you can't
do ship your run game care.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
I totally get it, bro. Look look, I'm gonna lie
to you man. It took what was it, six Feagles
six right, six yield goals to beat to beat the
Indian Epis cults who are banged up without a sad
quarterback and a roster A quarterback is forty four years old,
grandfather hasn't played a snap in five years. And you
be any by way, he took the lead. That's a

(06:32):
minute to go to the game. And yeah, I get it.
I get it that bad look, but I can't. I
can't go there this year with the Seahawks. I look
at a bigger picture seven for years the Eagles and
with a couple of spots from me. Look, we I
wanted to see stop points win against Raiders. I got that,

(06:54):
but again it's also the Raiders, so at least they
got the stop points a part, right, But I gotta
see a couple more games and make sure they're back.
I will say a couple of things happen in the
NFC this this week that might make the Eagle still
live to the Super Bowl because injuries are piling up
in certain teams that are in the conversation, so it
might help the Egals case. So and again the Eagles

(07:14):
problems to fixable in my opinion. So all right, six
for me, you got six for you?

Speaker 5 (07:18):
Rather at six for me. I have the Houston Texans.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
Love it. I love it all right.

Speaker 5 (07:28):
I mean the defense is outstanding.

Speaker 3 (07:31):
C J.

Speaker 5 (07:32):
Stroud probably had his best game of the season. So
again I'm rounding into shape right at the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (07:38):
So I love it. I absolutely love it. Six for
me is the Patriots. They fall in a couple of spots.
Now for me, that is a terrible second half there.
You know, again, when you don't have a lot of
quality wins on the schedule to pad up your your
numbers to justify your rankings, and then you lose a
game that the more you're at home and number two,

(08:00):
that's a quality win. You win that game, you're you're
definitely just why being in the top three. But then
you lose the game. The only when you lose the
game game with the way you did, it's bad. Look now,
look are they still really good team, yes, But these
are things I'm concerned about. The Patriots. Have they arrived
too soon, you know. I mean, looks a great, great
season for the Pats and were able to as flowers.

(08:21):
But these are the games you messed you by and
you failed it. And because you don't have so many
of these games on your schedule, you know, when you
do have those games to play to prove us wrong
and you fail that, this is what happens. So that's
it for me.

Speaker 5 (08:38):
I five for you got five out of the Patriots.
You blew a twenty one lead, all right, But like
you said, the only team on their schedule this year
has been the Bills, So there's there's it's hard to
move them up any higher right now.

Speaker 3 (08:56):
Right five for brings the Bills the team that beat them.
I almost put in Josh Allen because to me, it's
Josh Allen, not the Bills. I trust Josh Allen. I's
the rest of that team. Could Josh ankin to the
super Bowl. It's surely possible in that conference right now,

(09:16):
way it looks. But you got to be a team
to win, to win the whole thing, you gotta be
a complete team somehow. And the defense is shaky, the
offense running game is shaky. Thums at times, it is
Josh Allen bust for me? So there you go, four
who you got.

Speaker 5 (09:33):
At number four? I wanted to put them in the
top three. I just couldn't do it. The Chicago Bears,
that defense is so.

Speaker 3 (09:44):
Good, They're solid.

Speaker 5 (09:49):
I'm a little worried still.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
I think this will be the week, this stretch of
games that they play this week. This week they for
the Packers, they pay a couple of tough games going
for I know Detroit and there somehow that I think
Minnesota also is in it wretch. I stretch the next
week or two is gonna gonna gonna say a lot
about where I put them in my top ten. They're
not my top ten this week. But to your point,
I'm still apprehensive. I'm still not completely there yet. I'm

(10:13):
slowly getting there very impressively. Probably kill One's best game
is a pro by Way this week against Cleveland. I
guess a good cleveand defensive record. I know you show
on the grounds and are bad, but their d is
one of the top des in football. Still Males Garrett
Buffing nothing, by the way, will be my FENS player
a year when it's all said and done. On an

(10:33):
EARTHIG Awards, we do a couple of weeks. So, but
you're not gonna know that because they won three games
a year. So four for me is the Chargers. They're
getting healthy now. They get healthy now obviously Herbert with
the hand issue, but we're two weeks move from that
nel Flan surgery. So but the Charges again healthy now.

(10:55):
I think right now, you look at the AFC playoff teams,
the likely FAVFF teams right now they starts today, of
the seven, they are likely the most balanced team in
the entire conference if you think about it, of the
of the seven teams right now currently in the play position,
I think that the most balanced team. I think they have.
We look at the they have everything right now. They

(11:16):
have they have an offense, top your quarterback, a really
solid defense, run game, the receivers. To me that they
have the most balanced team in the AFC. I think again,
it comes down to, you know, can they go over
to hump now? So but I got trudged on before.

Speaker 5 (11:34):
Yeah, I need I need the Charges to prove a
little more.

Speaker 3 (11:36):
On offense, I feel you, I feel you three.

Speaker 5 (11:40):
You got three the Buffalo Bills ak all to come back.
I mean that proves so much about that team.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
Yeah, yeah, I'm totally see a point there, totally see
a point three for me. Like I said, the Seahawks,
I know, again, not a great pretty win on this week.
I get that they didn't lose, though they didn't lose.
So and this week's game is the Rams on Thursday.
We'll go along the way. I think I said that
was this, I'll say I said it this week. I

(12:10):
want to see that Thursday clash, you know, one against
three for me, you know, so to kind of put
a little collge football terms, you know, I mean, but
Seattle is still tell it again. The question of Seattle
is gonna be one question Sam Darnold, can he win
big games?

Speaker 5 (12:25):
Now?

Speaker 3 (12:26):
Well forward, we're now at that time now where this
is okay. Look, you want to be taking seriously as
a top ten quarter of the league. These are women.
These are the moments you get. You prove that Naster,
You're failed in these moments. So see if you can
do it. All right, I'm gonna go on. I'm going
to assume we haven't seen one and two in order, right,
Two Broncos, Yeah, yep, I'm there the Broncos. I think

(12:48):
this is my form of the best Boat next game
I've seen it was entire career.

Speaker 5 (12:54):
No, I mean for me, I mean, I'm still gonna
be has them about Bonnicks, but I'm completely sold on
that defense to taking them at least to an AFC championship,
if not a Super Bowl. Yeah, and that's kind of
how I felt about like the Bears. The Bears have
a defense that lives on turnours. They get turnovers every week.

Speaker 3 (13:20):
So we saw bone Knicks. I've seen both Knicks this
season have stretches of oh, he's really good at times.
We never saw a complete Bonnicks game. And that's why
I had the apprehension of the Ronkles all your long.
It's like, can I I haven't seen a complete Bonicks game.
We saw them the Giants come back. He had a
horrible for the first three quarters, then the fourth quarter

(13:41):
is fantastic. We never seen a complete Bonnicks game until
this week. If this is the future a boon Knicks,
well forward, if we're gonna see this more forward, yes,
but we'll see one rams of course, the same thing
for us. Uh now they'll no nicked up. No Pookah

(14:01):
mccoola got hurt on Sunday, as did DeVante Adams. They
shall be back soon. I'm atching to Wile play on Thursday.

Speaker 5 (14:09):
I would probably predict Davante Adams doesn't play.

Speaker 3 (14:12):
But hamstring right, yeah.

Speaker 5 (14:16):
Man, every every game he goes out, you're thinking he's out,
he's gonna best time, and then he comes back a
couple of plays later, and it's such a wild thing
to see a guy that physical playing right right.

Speaker 3 (14:29):
All right, here we go Thursday game. Here we go.
Best bats for Week sixteen. You got Rams at Seahawks.
The Rams, I said at one point, favorites forty four
z act will shock the favorites.

Speaker 5 (14:41):
Actually, hometown crowd. I think that that got him that
one point.

Speaker 3 (14:48):
Yeah, but I think there's no interviews. I felt the
same Seattle in one or.

Speaker 5 (14:51):
Two that were saying Seattle was the one point fam
Oh yeah, that is shot. But four points playing on that,
I'm thinking three points at home first, So but the.

Speaker 3 (15:06):
Four points qing though, Seattle at home, Yeah, that's a
lot of points.

Speaker 5 (15:10):
Well, they just watched Seattle struggle against the Cult.

Speaker 3 (15:14):
So what do you got.

Speaker 5 (15:18):
I've got the Rams.

Speaker 3 (15:20):
M Worth noting Seattle played the worst game of the
year against the Rams a few weeks ago. And nearly
won that game in l A. I'm gonna say it's
in the basic thing into this game. I'm just saying
that that's that's something you can you can use it
as a base. So but the Rams injury is a

(15:40):
little bit, A little bit concerning swat took Seattle in
this one. I think I think Salle get him this one.
So this is the winner's game, Tech Division lead, of course.
All right, we got Sunday games. You got Eagles at Commanders.
The Eagles or six a half point favorites. The over
under Zach is.

Speaker 5 (15:55):
What It's been. An up and down sea. Jayden Daniels
isn't gonna play the rest of this season. You'd think
I'd got Mariota, but I just can't pull the trigger.
Give me this, give me the Eagles to cover.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
I will say, a little better, but Mariota right now
in quarterback they have there's something you said about that.
You're right about that. You look, you look decent against
Giants too, especially, But I'm gonna go over in this one.
I can see, I can see I'll scoring this game
actually definitely in the mid to high twenties. So give
me over in this one, all right, we got Packers
at Bears. The Bears are one point favorites the over

(16:35):
under Zach as far as half.

Speaker 5 (16:38):
I cannot believe the Bears are favored just because of
the make the makeup Parsons injury. But that's where it is.
I would still take the Packers to win this game.

Speaker 3 (16:50):
Really, and yet you have the Beers so high in
your your rankings. I don't understand that.

Speaker 5 (16:56):
Easy. I'm hesitant to believe my rankings. It's kind of
like how you had to Chief on your rankings and
Baltimore on your rankings all year even though they had
proved nothing. I'm gonna give a team their their due credit,
but I'm still gonna be hesitant when it comes to betting.

Speaker 3 (17:15):
Well, you know my philosophy with these teams have legacies,
but I always I wass I ride that train to
to is dead.

Speaker 5 (17:20):
Now.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
I had a running joke, you know, this week with
my friends, you know, on Humble podcast, that I'm gonna
finally choose my top ten even though they were out
of the playoffs. And then and then and then I
told I gave Jim the rankings. I said, well, I tried,
but I would have put them ten. B but you
you don't allow that on the show.

Speaker 5 (17:39):
So I was shocked you didn't put Baltimore to no
game of the season the first and.

Speaker 3 (17:52):
It's got a good game either for can you play
that great either? So I'm gonna take Chicago on this one.
Actually Green Bays injuries or ranconcerting, Uh, Jordan Love, I'm
still on the fence. If there's a time for Jordan
Loves to rise up and say this is my team
and I'm gonna be you know, earn that money he

(18:13):
gets and to really really you separate himself from the pack,
especially with Micah being out for the year. You know
you have the tight end who's out, who's been out
since like week nine, week ten. Now the time to
show up, Jordan Love. Now's the time to set yourself
in the packs. Okay, but I'm saying Chicago's name, it's
run home, all right. We got Bills at Brown's. The
Bills are ten point favorites, the over runers. Zach is

(18:35):
forty two.

Speaker 5 (18:39):
Oh. I feel like there's a slight letdown after that
momentous comeback. So give me the under in this game
because I don't see the Browns doing much even against
the Bills.

Speaker 3 (18:53):
Well, I do see the Browns. I do see the
Bills win the game no matter what. But that's a
lot of points. I don't. I know, she don't have
a bad game, but it's still a really good Browns defense.
They've had two rough games last couple weeks. I think
they'll turn around this week. Bills win. But Brown's the
points here plus ten, it's still the points at the
dog Pound. All right, interesting game here, Chargers at Cowboys.

(19:17):
The Cowboys are two point favorites. The over undersdack. It's
forty nine and a half.

Speaker 5 (19:23):
So explaining that to me, team you have so high
in your rankings that you think is one of the
most complete teams in the AOC is an underdough against
a garbage Cowboys team.

Speaker 3 (19:36):
Well garbage now, they weren't garbage a week ago, two
weeks ago.

Speaker 5 (19:39):
Yeah, so I'm gonna buy it. I'm gonna play your
bet of nine wins and I'm gonna take the Cowboys.

Speaker 3 (19:49):
Well guess what. So my any reason I'm doing it
because I need that bet to fucking hold, bro. They
gotta went out to get my nine wins. I need
they gotta went out. If they win this game, their
odds increased though, because the last two games are getting
the Commanders and the Giants.

Speaker 5 (20:02):
Yeah, so all of the marbles are on this game
for you.

Speaker 3 (20:05):
Yes, yes, so I need I need to happen to
to secure hundred bucks with my boy. Mario shot the
Mario course. All right. We got Chiefs at Titans. The
Chiefs with three a half win, favorites over under there
some and a half. Zach, call me crazy. I'm kind
of shocked that Chiefs are favored in this game.

Speaker 5 (20:22):
Actually, can you help me out? Who the hell is
the chase back.

Speaker 3 (20:27):
Up quarterback Gardner Minshew, your boy?

Speaker 5 (20:31):
Oh, I love that dude. Damn he's been he's been
in Case this year.

Speaker 3 (20:36):
Give me. He threw the pick of that game. He
took it. She's a chance kind of game in the
fourth quarter. You know, the homes got hurt and they're
they're in field goal range, and he threw that pick
to trying to lock in the kelsey and threw that
pick late in the game. A bad pick, bat throw
what are you doing? Throw it about away?

Speaker 5 (20:57):
At least then dude, has it thrown in a game.

Speaker 3 (21:02):
I don't give it. Oh my gosh, you think Case
his game absolutely all right, I said, I'm taking you
under this game. By the way, Chiefs out of the playoffs,
Mahomes out president year. Obviously he's out from a chunk
of nexture most likely, I mean always back. Next is

(21:23):
probably gonna be what no, no, I mean, we'll see.
The good news room is that they the tear isn't
as bad as I thought it was. Yeah, therefore he
could be on the front end of that. We'll see.
I will say I did a little unfiltered pod today

(21:44):
on the on my other show today, I did I
did a little reaction and I did say, this is
what happened here is that Hals the had Mahomes gotten home,
has not gotten hurt Chie on the playoffs. Still Mom
doesn't get hurt. The Chiefs of Seasons is retooling because
he got hurt, and the odds are gonna be out

(22:06):
for at least let's be keep it kind at least
a third of the season next year based on the
based on the math. Now they can actually rebuild now
the right way. So they go retooling rebuilding, And I
think this is where you see no Barbie, Chris Jones
be gone, Kelsey part retires. So I think in a

(22:26):
sense bigger picture, this could be good for the Chiefs though,
because they needed to They needed to rebuild anyway, The
clue's been there for a couple of years now. They
kept trying to patch things up for the roster. And
while they've won two Super Bowls next couple of years
and went to suchowl last year, we did see the
signs of this starting to come in. The seams turned
to see little school years.

Speaker 5 (22:47):
So man, so that's just those are people when people
say that they're lying about the optics because Chiefs were
not going to make the playoffs, so there were forty
million over the cap. Yeah, missing the playoffs. Kelsey was

(23:08):
probably going to retire anyways. Chris Jones, let's face it,
has had a really bad season. He struggled early in
the season to even get going. He was probably going
to be the cap casualty to help get under the
cap to begin with it most likely. So neither of

(23:29):
those two things are gonna would have changed either way.
The only thing that has changed is as a lock
there getting a better draft pick now with my homes out, Yeah,
no are and really only by two or three spots,
so as not a drastic change in the drafts draft.

Speaker 3 (23:47):
But in the NFL Bowl Draft draft draft picks me
more than in an NBA, Like you can find time,
you can some of the needs they have, they can
find for easy in that first like top fourteen.

Speaker 5 (23:59):
Yeah, they're gonna have to find a new path rusher
or and then in the second round they have to
go after running back. Yeah, and maybe draft the wide
receiver who can catch verse being able to run a
forty and under four.

Speaker 3 (24:15):
To three another year with the Chiefs legal league and
drops another year. Yeah, it's bad.

Speaker 5 (24:22):
Well, you can't. You cannot recreate Tyreek kill just because
you're drafting guys who run a four to two.

Speaker 3 (24:30):
Let me ask you this. I was thinking about this
earlier day and I recorded and I got a nil
for the podcast. I can see a world, unfortunately, where
this Mahomes is up another ring based on where the
Chiefs right now. Currently we don't. It's very uncertain based
on the league right now, where it's going teams. The

(24:50):
parodies is even massive, bigger than it was during the
Mahomes run, and parody was ready there at the time.
I can see a world with Mahome was that went
on the ring? If I ask right now, Zach, does
Mahomes win another ring before he retires? You said yes
or no.

Speaker 5 (25:10):
I would say there's as good a chance of him
winning a ring before he retires as Josh Allen wins
a ring, as Joe Burrow wins a ring. Lamar Jackson
wins two playoff games. That I think that again, you

(25:31):
were wildly throw I mean, it's a hot thing.

Speaker 3 (25:36):
I think the problem is that it's so much. See
the difference things that the Chiefs situation here versus the
Pats when they did their run, and that little tenure gap.
So even in people in that tenure gap, they still
went the two Super Bowls. They lost them to Giants,
thank god. But even then, in the ten years, they
were still in the conversation. But we also knew there

(25:58):
was still continuity. Bill Belchip going to be no matter what,
we don't know if any hello be the team. And
at this point and any reading, I must say anything
every year, but what is any is anything gonna be
infanel rebuilds.

Speaker 5 (26:12):
So what you believe in the next three to five
years even they will not be able to retool to
compete for another Super Bowl? Well do you think you
really think Mahomes is completely done. He's washed.

Speaker 3 (26:26):
No, most fine. I think the piece around him though,
Like if any reason not back next year, if anything
says to you know, I'm fuck. We don't showing to
retire this year over next year. That changes. That changed everything.
And the reason is in Mahomes are It's like Walsh
and Montana is like Belchick and Brady.

Speaker 5 (26:44):
Man. We're watching two different nfls. Because what I see
in the NFL is as long as you have a
great quarterback, you have a shot. You don't need to
have a defense, You don't need to have a confident
run game. You don't need to have great wide receivers
because I can't name a wide receiver for the Bills,

(27:07):
really can't name a wide receiver for the Patriots. But
they're both Super Bowl contenders this year. If Burrow could
even stay healthy, they're a contender.

Speaker 3 (27:20):
Panic a little bit, we'll see. Yeah, there's way much
question marks around the team now in comparison with the
Patrick doing in those years. Didn't they didn't win, So
this same we'll see how the place out. All right,
we got look this game here, Jets at Saints. The
Saints of four point orner zach is forty and a half.

Speaker 5 (27:37):
Man.

Speaker 3 (27:38):
Yuck.

Speaker 5 (27:39):
Saintsmen here almost locked. They do not jack the quarterback.
I think they're starting to fall in love with with
Tyler South. So give me the Saints.

Speaker 3 (27:52):
They better because there's no quarterbacks in the draft, aren't
you Manory, he says when he returned to college today.

Speaker 5 (28:00):
Wait, get it. You don't think Mendoza right now is
not a better quarterback then than cam Ward? I don't
in the pros, yeah, I would say right now.

Speaker 3 (28:15):
I don't know. I'm gonna say Yesterday'm not gonna say
yes or make a definitive answer to it. But yeah,
take you over in this game. Saints are frisky, frisky.
I called that game on Sunday. Hello, there's race at
the bottom in the in the NFC South.

Speaker 5 (28:34):
Man, Look that is your sweet spot, the NFC South.
You know how to bet that that.

Speaker 3 (28:42):
Pathetic pathetic uh uh division Bucks can beat the Falcons
that lead. Oh they're in trouble. Hold my beer, but
hold my beer, Caroline Panthers. Opportunity rises, you talk ship
and then you lose to the Saints. Morons. All right, Yeah,
Vikings at Giants. The Vikings tint favorites the over under

(29:03):
Zach fourth three and a half.

Speaker 5 (29:08):
You know I'm gonna take the Vikings. J. J. McCarthy,
if he could ever learn to have just the slightest
bed of touch on some of his passes, would be
a halfway decent quarterback right now.

Speaker 3 (29:21):
He showed some signs this year when when when things
are doing well, he can play. He has the weapons,
he has the receiving the league, they.

Speaker 5 (29:35):
Would have blown out the Cowboys had he learned how
to have a little touch on a couple of passes
that Jefferson.

Speaker 3 (29:41):
I agree, I agree. I got the overness game though
the chucking Giants. Bro it's so bad, all right? Next
game here, here we go, the race to the bottom
in the mc South Bucks at Panthers. The Bucks of
three point favorites. The over under Zach is forty.

Speaker 5 (30:02):
The Bucks are getting healthy. I have no faith in
the Panthers. Give me the Bucks.

Speaker 3 (30:11):
I'm taking be under this game. I'd say a twenty
four to twenty game. Bucks win twenty four twenty.

Speaker 5 (30:16):
Cool, he said three, right, it was Friday three.

Speaker 3 (30:20):
I'll take it, yep, yep, close to the cuff. But
I did the best with the under. Yeah, I don't
trust Carolina. I just don't. After Sunday, don't trust him.
Get an opportunity to take a lead in that division,
you know, and then you can. You can beat Tampa
at home and take a two game lead with two
to go, and you failed. So there you go. All right.
We got Bengals at Dolphins. The Bengals are two and

(30:43):
that point favorites over under Zach is forty No, sorry,
fifteen and a half.

Speaker 5 (30:52):
Another team can play defense. Give me the over. As
long as Joe Burrow feels like playing this week, I
think that I think the over is a lot? Is
the bet?

Speaker 3 (31:04):
What you making? His comments the other day, I.

Speaker 5 (31:08):
Think he's realizing how stupid he was to fight for
two wide receivers to get max dollars when he has
no offensive line and team with no defense.

Speaker 3 (31:17):
Speaking here, hold on, I'll play the club. Actually here
hold on? Uh if you will ask what comments about
Joe Burrow press conference last week before leading into the
Ravens game, questioning the future of his but you know,
whether him playing football or team with the team, here's
his comments.

Speaker 2 (31:38):
Doing this.

Speaker 6 (31:39):
I have to have fun doing it. Ah, you know,
I've been through a lot. And if it's not fun,
Then what am I doing it for? So that's mindset
I'm trying to bring to the table. All we can
do is is focus week to we can try to try.

Speaker 5 (31:57):
To win games.

Speaker 6 (31:59):
I don't think anybody's really thinking about the playoffs right now.
That's that's within reach, but on our fingertips. So he's
gotta keep doing what we're doing and try to get better.

Speaker 3 (32:16):
Oh, I mean, that's not me typing in their backgrounds.
That's the one some journalist they're typing in the background. Okay,
that's not me.

Speaker 5 (32:25):
I'm pretty sure it's not fun to get your brain
beat in every week because you have no offensive line,
because you have almost eighty million dollars locked up with
two wide receivers.

Speaker 3 (32:35):
I've already said I don't think he's long for that world.
In Cincinnati, the Bengels are still I don't care. They've
gone to Super Bowl recent years. I get all that.
Mike Brown is still the worst owner in the NFL.
You're still cheap it is on the NFL. Okay, and
then they made a mistake of paying t Higgins money

(32:56):
almost comfortable to Jamal Chase. Stupid, stupid. Okay, I agree.
If you have an elite quarterback. You don't need to
two leade receivers.

Speaker 5 (33:07):
No, absolutely not so.

Speaker 3 (33:12):
I think I think next year is a huge year
for the Bengals. I think there's a I can see
world now where don't be surprised if zach that Dak
Tayler's was fired.

Speaker 5 (33:24):
Now, how much of Bill Simmons do you listen to?
I was listening to one of his most recent pods.
I think it was literally the most recent one where
they were setting the lines and they were talking about it.
They were talking about what they could get for Joe
Burrow if they were to trade for him right trade,
trade him away right now, Jill hurts, and they wanted

(33:48):
to talk about, oh, maybe you could get two first rounders.
Maybe probably just one, and that's one. If you're trading
on to New York for Jackson Dart, I'm like, you
gotta be any mean, Jackson Darton, one first rounder is
all you would get for Joe Burrow. That is insane.

Speaker 3 (34:08):
Would you trade Jason Joe Burrow?

Speaker 5 (34:11):
I would trade Jayden Daniels and two first rounders for
Joe Burrow.

Speaker 3 (34:17):
They're both injury prone, I will say.

Speaker 5 (34:19):
That, and Jaden Daniels just far better than Jackson Dart.

Speaker 3 (34:25):
I do think, though, I do think if Zach Tailer
gets fired, this this off seasons no and any sense
it is falls but no, No, if Joe Burrow is
don't to get its goning to get frustrated or in
a panic. If look, listen, I said it four years

(34:46):
ago when they got Burrow, and what is super I said,
you're you're the Bengals. You you're getting a reprieve here.
Do not fuck this up. Okay, if they lose Joe Burrow,
if Joe Burrow asked to be traded, if I'm a bank,
just contract the team. You're done. You're done as a franchise.
You're fucking stupid. Get out of here because you fuck

(35:07):
this up.

Speaker 5 (35:08):
Yeah, the first person who should be fired before Zach
Taylor has gotta be the GM. What if you've done
in the last three drafts that you have nobody on defense,
no offensive line, Like you've got nothing to show for
your last three drafts.

Speaker 3 (35:29):
Like you're you're getting Edgelock vibes that press conference, Like
maybe he's then enjoying plaint football. I disagree. I don't
think it has I'm not playing joint play football. I
don't think he enjoys playing in Cinci that anymore. I
think he started to see the te leaves that I
got a cheap owner. I got a front office who
does don't know what the fuck they're doing that they're
gonna pay two top tiers, two receivers tops for money,
leaving me fucking exposed of the line. You got Trey Hendersons,

(35:52):
who dows gonna be gonna be a free agent. Now, Yeah,
I think he sees I think he's right in the role.
I think he's running roll.

Speaker 5 (35:59):
Let's try receiver gets traded in the off season because
one of them's got to be traded.

Speaker 3 (36:07):
So I say, Higgins, but Jamar despite his contract, is
still the better receiver.

Speaker 5 (36:14):
Yeah, he gets more in trade you get.

Speaker 3 (36:17):
You'll get more, and you'll get more in to trade
for for Chase because of how good he is. It's
not it's not knock. It's not a knock on Higgins
for the record, I'm just saying this to the fact
that Chase is that good, he's top two in the league.
He'll get more. Teams are willing to pay that pay
that price the need receiver. Like if you're New England,

(36:37):
for example, you know, I mean the Pats and you
need receiver, especially not the fact that you have a
great man rookie deal. You can, you can, you can,
you can afford that contract. So the same keep behind
that you have over this game? Right, Doppins and Bangles hurt?

Speaker 5 (36:51):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (36:52):
So do I have you over the ball? All right?
We got Jaguars at Broncos. The Broncos are three point favorites.
He over runner ZAC forty six. This is a huge game.
There is a possible AMC title game here.

Speaker 5 (37:06):
I want to go out on that lamb for the
Jags so bad, and uh, I really want to do it,
but I'm gonna take the too much of a coward.
I'm gonna take the under in the game. I feel
like there might be a letdown after six.

Speaker 3 (37:25):
Performance because now I'm finally believing in the Broncos. I'm
gonna take Denver in this game. However, this is a
game where Okay, if you're a Jags and you want
me to believe in you when this game in Denvers,
I guess a red hot team. This is this is
the game we'll be measured. We be measured you based
on these games. So if you can win a game

(37:47):
in Denver. The hottesteing in the league right now currently.
That goes along the way inception about who you are
and nothing nothing. I know you're not a big fan
of him, and you were not a big fan. They won.
Joel Warren's playing the football.

Speaker 5 (38:01):
Yeah no, last last two three weeks, he's been really good.

Speaker 3 (38:05):
Yeah. Duval Liam Cohen, who about that? That that corny
ass Duval guy? Is it coaching your can now? And
turn things around? Just like that? So all right, Falcons
at Cardinals. Falcons do have one favorites over under Zach
forty eight.

Speaker 5 (38:22):
What you got this is trash m Give me the
card No screw that. Give me the Falcons. Falcons are
more dominant. Bird they'll go, they'll they'll take it to
the Cardinals.

Speaker 3 (38:35):
I got the overdess game. I don't trustee the teams.
Kirk cous has had his best game in about three
years on the takes tap last week. Record played my contract.
So all right, next one here, putty, big big big
gear forth of these teams, Steels had Lions. The Lions

(38:55):
are seven point favorites the over under Zach fifty one
and a half.

Speaker 5 (39:02):
Oh, I should no screw that Lions win this one
in a blowout. All right, Well, first off, they're due
to win their last ten games. They win and lose,
win and lose, win and lose. Well, they just lost,
so they're supposed to win anyways. And against the Steelers team,

(39:25):
I'm pretty pretty confident in the Lions.

Speaker 3 (39:29):
Well, I don't agree that the Troit Lions win this game.
Some points a lot of points for a team that's
still play in football, So I'm gonna take Pitt one
of the points, though the Lions do win the game, though,
put one of the points. All right. Raiders at Texans.
The Texans are fourteen point favorites. The over under Zach
is thirty eight.

Speaker 5 (39:53):
Do I think the Texans could score thirty eight points
on their own? As the real question? Give me the under.
I think they're want to shut out, like twenty four
nothing something like that.

Speaker 3 (40:13):
Fourteen points a lot of points, man, Yeah, it's a
lot of fucking points. But the Raiders are bad. They're
the worst in football, okay, and they're not getting better.
He's insurging. Fuck it. I hate spreads like these, though,
but sometimes it is what it is.

Speaker 5 (40:31):
Like.

Speaker 3 (40:31):
At this point, we have to acknowledge that Huston's is
two touches better than fucking the Raiders.

Speaker 5 (40:37):
Give me, give you this game?

Speaker 3 (40:39):
Screw it? And I hate.

Speaker 5 (40:43):
Can I ask you? Do you think Pete Carroll survives
this season? Or is he one and done? Uh?

Speaker 3 (40:53):
Pete Carroll, he may retire anything.

Speaker 5 (40:56):
Yeah, if you were to leave, they would have five code,
which is on the payroll next season. They would be
going all the way back to Gruden that they still
have to pay.

Speaker 3 (41:06):
So I feel like I I forgot a game here. No, no, no,
my didn't forget that clause I was looking for that
game of some my night football the mind. I'm good.
I won Houston here all right? Next one probably game
probably game the week. Definitely won two top two games.
Pats at Ravens. Ravens is three point favorites over under

(41:28):
Zach forty eight points.

Speaker 5 (41:31):
This this line makes no sense to me. Ravens have
shown nothing all season to be a favorite over the Pats,
and you're gonna give me the Pats plus points give
me the Patriots.

Speaker 3 (41:45):
You were you were like a big Ravens fan, even
so negative in the Ravens since since Lamar returned to
the team.

Speaker 5 (41:50):
My god, oh, I've been negative on this season. It's
like they chose not to run Derrick Henry this season.

Speaker 3 (41:59):
And by the way, if you if you watch the
numbers on the game against the Bengals, there's no way
in hell It'shi won a twenty four to nothing. Cincinnati
out gained them time possession was Cincinnati by a by
a country mile, and yet they couldn't score ship So
they're not the same team. But because of desperation and

(42:21):
their schedule is tough, they gotta play doing them this week.
You got green Bay by after and then the close
on the Steelers. This must went to the Ravens. Obviously,
I'm gonna take Ravens because of desperation. But if they
lose this game, they're done. They're done.

Speaker 5 (42:37):
Why the Steelers are also gonna lose. So it's gonna
be the same record right now.

Speaker 3 (42:42):
But the Steelers' schedule is a lot easier to close
it up so that the Browns next week, although the
Browns game could be frisky for the Steelers two also
it was tough, so oh no, we'll see, all right,
we got finally one day football. We got Niners at Colts.
The nine or six one favorites, the over under zacht

(43:02):
Is forty seven Philip Rivers, Huh, I say no.

Speaker 5 (43:10):
I say no. World in which he recovers physically to
come back and play a Monday night game. That for
a guy who was out five years to come back
and be able to recover body wise to play one
week later, I just don't see it. Give me the
forty nine ers.

Speaker 3 (43:29):
You only get hit four times, no, buddy, Yeah.

Speaker 5 (43:34):
Just standing there, I think because it was.

Speaker 3 (43:36):
A lot stop it. Look, he didn't play great yet,
like like only three passes over ten yards, but he
did was supposed to do. Don't lose your fucking game. Yeah, okay,
he did his job. He did touch on the game.
So that game, that man, it was it was actually

(43:58):
considering everything, a pretty good performance. So having said that,
best bet, though, take the under. Just at the under
points a lot of points because an he won't score,
and he won't score at all, Sam Fran will fire
score no more than thirty because again the Niners and

(44:21):
any defense is pretty good. So the under is the
best bet for me. So anyway, all right, let's get
to it. It is the college football Playoff. I can
find the the graph here. One second, we just you
can find here one second.

Speaker 5 (44:38):
That is it?

Speaker 3 (44:39):
That is it? That is it? That is it? First
round on the playoff starts this. I think it's Friday. Actually,
why is Joe Burrow popping up my screen again? Hold
on second? Yeah, exactly, fucking let's try it again. We're
gonna stay again. There you go, come the playoff here

(45:01):
you go. Uh, you can bring up the It's got
a real quick all right, so I can find it.
First game on Friday, eight o'clock each time, Alabama and Oklahoma.
Who wins it's right to play in Vienna in talking round?

Speaker 5 (45:22):
Oh man, okahaham literally had a Heisman hopel for the
first half of the season until he broke his hand.

Speaker 3 (45:32):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 5 (45:33):
Alabama with Simpson, he's a good all season. Give me
Alabama to for as a revenge game for losing to
Oklahoma earlier this season.

Speaker 3 (45:44):
That's right, they lose earlier in a year. Yeah, I'll
take Bama too, also, because it's there's actually pressure now
because Bama shouldn't be here in the first place. So
there's some pressure here on killing the board team to
at least win a playoff game. You know, I'd like
to be along here, and I don't trust o Malahoma
at all. I just don't sorry, I just don't give
me bad on this one, all right, and then you

(46:04):
have let me see the next game here on Saturday.
It's Miami and Texas A and M I told I noon,
actually too, I realize that doesn't who you got this one.

Speaker 5 (46:19):
I'm taking Carson beck Mane. He's gonna be a first
round draft pick this year. Yeah, well guess what. That's
kind of how a lot of people end up being
in the first round by default.

Speaker 3 (46:37):
This is easily the best game in the first round.
About taking a m Miami hasn't the same since at
the end of the year. So I'm gonna take a Yeah,
I'm gonna'm gonna take a A. And I'm just wanted
in a nail bier. So they'll play Ohio State, all right,
and then the next part of bracket. Uh, let me see,

(47:03):
we got Tulane at Ole Miss for the rights to
play Texas Tech. What you got? Oh no, no, I
suppose to pay Georgia. Sorry Georgia.

Speaker 5 (47:16):
Yeah, so, uh, I know Old Miss is gonna be
missing their quarterback, but I mean missing their head coach.
But Tulane does not even belong in this playoffs. I
hate looking at twelve teams when honestly half of them
do not belong Give me all miss.

Speaker 3 (47:38):
Same here. This is a fuck you Tulane Kiffin obviously,
yeah saying them all here. So ole miss will face
Georgia in the second round and finally the next the
last game here says three games on Saturday, one on Friday, Oregon,
but at Oregon at seb thirty pm Eastern enter time.
Who or who arners the right to play? Text? Take around?

Speaker 5 (48:02):
Oh this is Oregon again, another team with the first
round quarterback. So Carson back probably better than cam More.
This kid More from Oregon definitely better than cam More.
That's all I gotta say about that.

Speaker 3 (48:22):
Yeah, same here. Oregon will play to the Tech, so
we'll have we have the same No, well you pick
you at I've have the It's the only difference we
have beteen the bunches. So should be a fun first
round playoff, man and put a record. This format unfortunately,
would never go to would never go to get the
best twelve teams because because of the format, because they'll
have teams that don't belong here like Jeans Madison and

(48:46):
uh in a Tulaane because they're mac bds, so therefore
we'll never get the best twelve.

Speaker 5 (48:51):
Ever. Well, I mean they could have dropped them and
put Notre Dame and Notre Dame so doesn't belong there,
just like Alabama doesn't belong there.

Speaker 3 (48:58):
Wait, you still think no names belong there? Well I'm
so sorry.

Speaker 5 (49:01):
No, I don't believe there should be twelve fucking teams.

Speaker 3 (49:04):
Well right, but but but but we have we are
where we are they are.

Speaker 5 (49:07):
So yeah, I know, and thirty more years we'll have
twenty four. Yeah, that'll be the whole top twenty five
except the last team.

Speaker 3 (49:18):
Right all right, before we get out of here, I mean,
we're actually watching this game, like in real time. The
NBA Cup Final fourth chord is just starting. The Spurs
up I five over New York. The Spurs did beat Okay,
see the snap their sixty game winning streak overall in
the semi finals with the Cup on Saturday, when Weeks

(49:39):
return to the team. Are the thunder Spurs the next
NBA rivalry because it seems like we're we're we're on
the way trucking that way to be the next big
rivalry in the league. Basebare. The teams are currently Thunder
right now currently champions the Spurs of the team on
the up swing, you obviously have to Wemby chet while

(50:00):
Reid that's that's been a thing for a couple of
years anyway. So are we is the Spurs next, the
Spurs Thunder the next great Emmy Reverie.

Speaker 5 (50:08):
On the on the cusp of that, absolutely, I mean,
the only the only other argument would be throwing in
Denver and throwing in Boston next year when when they've
retooled and everyone's back healthy. But if I were to
pick two teams that are gonna be competing to go
to go to the finals every year, it's gonna be

(50:29):
those two teams over the next ten years.

Speaker 3 (50:32):
I think the sports are here. I think they're here.
I think, borring Wemby's health, they were in the same trick. Okay,
he wasn't a couple of years and probably faster because
I got like Wemby is generational, like Sga isn't generational
in the same way. At least it wasn't coming to
the league anyway, and she became that guy as years
went on. Wemy was there for when we're do And

(50:59):
I have apprehension to say the Spurs are a talk
contender because I still think of the probably a year
away from being a real title contender. However, you know
when you have a Wenby, when you have the Ear
and Fox, you have guys on that team, a young
also young core. By the way, Zach, you might agree
me on this one. If I'm the Spurs, I don't
get involved in Yanna stuff because you you add your

(51:20):
honest to your team. Now you're adding a sixty million
dollar salary to year to year on your roster and
you can't add you can't no longer add Askway pieces.
And honestly, Giannis, as great as he is, he does
shorten their window because he's gotta win in next couple
of years. Yeah, that salary on the books. Whereas right

(51:42):
now you're in a spot, right now, you're you're, you're,
you're already where you'd be with Yannis anyway at this point,
Oh yeah, young talent.

Speaker 5 (51:49):
No, No, for the Spurs to make that kind of trade,
they kneecap. They kneecap themselves five years down the road
because they have to trade away their young pieces. They
have to trade away draft picks. Right now, they are
set up for a nice ten year run the same way. Okay,
see is set up. The only thing you do is

(52:11):
two to three years down the road, you're training dearon
Fox because you're gonna have to pay one of the
young guys, probably a nice MAX deal. Yeah, you're looking
at Castle getting a rookie Max coming in like two years.
Two more years down the road, you'll be looking at uh,
the kid they just drafted, probably getting a rookie Max.

Speaker 3 (52:33):
So looking at the lay of land right like this year,
right now, in the one year sample, I'm still eprehensive
of I'm gonna Spurson a talk of the tender because
I still think right now this one year, Okay, she's better. Look,
I know they'd be almost on Saturday, but you gotta
be in four times. I have a hard time being

(52:53):
convinced that they could be los four times in this
first Yeah, Dever still better as a team than Santonio.
I still think Houston right now, short window side is
better than Santuna right now.

Speaker 5 (53:06):
I think Limby's healthy.

Speaker 3 (53:08):
I don't. I do think experience matters. I think Wemby
has to at least touch and feel the playoffs for
a little bit. I think there's always that process you
have to go down a process in the NBA. Everybody's
gone through it, Lebron, Jordan, you name it, all the
all the top guys in the history league and that process.
I think when's going down process in the playoffs. Yet

(53:31):
it's a different game.

Speaker 5 (53:33):
I don't remember Tim don Can go into that process.

Speaker 3 (53:36):
Well that was different because Dave Roberts was ready there. Yeah, yeah, no, no, no,
and to your point, Man Johnson all the two. But
he also reed so that those are the exceptions. But
Wemby is the guy, whereas Magic wasn't necessarily the number
one guy the first year. Neither was Tommy Better. So so,

(53:59):
but I do think think though, if I'm the Spurs,
I don't get involved in the honest stream stakes. I
stakes ste with this core you have most in fact,
because you'll you'll get on the honest switch stakes and
you got a pain anybody. Yet you can afford to
sign a high priced veteran, like I'm saying, a star,
just a veteran to keep that piece together. So I'm

(54:20):
the Spurs. You stay course, man, Honestly stay the course,
because I think they're they're on the same trek as
the as a thunderworld in the last couple of years,
I think, And I'll be honestly, I know if he
is my podcast, I didn't with my buddies Denny Blanco
on Sunday the Spurs ascending like this is why there's
the case that Luca Dodgers may never win any title.

Speaker 5 (54:42):
So no, no, no, man, I hate thinking about that.
He is so good.

Speaker 3 (54:51):
Yeah, I mean.

Speaker 5 (54:53):
That last Western Conference is being is setting up. But honestly, okay, Houston,
they fall back in a couple of years, right, There's
nobody of the caliber of Luca on that team.

Speaker 3 (55:09):
Here's the though, is there anyone else in Houston that
can ascend while kt is there? Before kat leaps? Like
do you see Sangoon another level? Do you see the
Thompson Twins another level? Do you see do you see uh?
Do you see other guys that and that roster ascending
as Kd's while Katie still in the meantime.

Speaker 5 (55:29):
Not not to this as sension they need to beat
Luca and the Lakers. No, I believe really this is
the one and only year Houston has a chance with KD.
After that, KD could be there two years. That second year,
I don't think they stand the same chance.

Speaker 3 (55:50):
We have got Fama back next year though to help.

Speaker 5 (55:53):
Yeah, and you also have another year of experience for Wimby.
You get the Lakers who will be getting rid of
Lebron and being able to retill that team even more.
And you still have Denver and Okay, see, so if
there's a year, it's right now and only that.

Speaker 3 (56:14):
But Luca, here's mother Lucas who also I see is
that Luca is like a James Harden. He's someone that
doesn't really play well the stars. He needs to be
with great players around him, no one on level. So
like the Lebron Luca thing is anominally because Lebron is
adjust as much as you could to make it work.

(56:37):
And that's the thing. Can Luca? Can the Lakers find
out great answer pieces around Luca to sustain this once
Lebron's gone? That's the question. It can? It can happen.
But the Star.

Speaker 5 (56:54):
But if I'm honest and I'm looking at a trade,
I'd want to go to like in Indiana where okay,
you're swapping him maybe Detroit, but you're giving up a lot.
But yeah, if it's Kate and the honest, you're legitimately
competing for an Eastern Conference finals every year, I believe.

Speaker 3 (57:18):
Yeah, I think Giannice has better put stay in the
East and probably go into a team like either Miami
Detroit or as you mentioned, Indiana, Indiana great spit because
Indiana is you know, honest, some selfish for the records
a player. So you play with Halliburton and those guys. Yeah,
actually that working out. They got pieces. But like I said,

(57:38):
the thing is with the honest window because the honest
is not Katie, because the style of play isn't isn't
like he catches the ball, his windows shorter than Kat's
Like what will when will Yanna hit that wall?

Speaker 5 (57:52):
Six years younger? No, but his.

Speaker 3 (57:57):
But the thing is Katie is still relevant because the
fact you should shoot the fucking ball cannot.

Speaker 5 (58:05):
Okay, can you tell me the last time Katie made
an impact on a team? Please?

Speaker 3 (58:11):
What what year was it?

Speaker 5 (58:14):
Well?

Speaker 3 (58:14):
He also had was on a lot of shitty, shitty
situations too. Also, I'm not saying that his fault.

Speaker 5 (58:18):
He chose his situation.

Speaker 3 (58:20):
I agree with him. Was saying, though I'm gonna stop playing.

Speaker 5 (58:24):
Yeah, and I'm talking about the guy being thirty seven
years old and frail at thirty seven.

Speaker 3 (58:35):
I mean I think with Giannis he's more Je Butler
than he is KD because again I think Jan is
thirty one years old. So can you see Giannis playing
at a top five level for say five years? I

(58:57):
said two three years.

Speaker 5 (58:59):
I'm playing up ten for five years.

Speaker 3 (59:02):
I can depends on what he's at that point too. Also,
I mean his defensive his diferense'll we'll take a take up,
will take us a step down was one of the
things he does very well.

Speaker 5 (59:13):
So we'll take a step down because his team will
suck and he won't be interested.

Speaker 3 (59:18):
Right well, we'll see, we'll see again. I wish he
had adam more a preventer game to his to his uppertour,
because I having premier game made him more dangerous as
we he gets into the later years of his career.
But we'll see, we'll see. But uh, like I said,
I think right now the Thunder and then the Spurs

(59:40):
are on the way up. And of course Denver's there ready,
as is in the conversation and Houston. I think Spurs
and Thunder are gonna be the next great robbery for
the next five to ten years. I think we're there.
And the accent the fact that forget the fact that
we have chetting and when we hate each other, that
there's there's real like this's danger to two there. You
know what I'm saying. Coming into the lead for that matter.

(01:00:01):
So we're we're in some good times in the NBA. Man,
Well you are so. Yeah, we'll see, we'll see who
plays out. So anyway, Zach, go up to the picks
one hour today to one hour showsday. Interesting. So we'll
talk to you soon. All right, We'll talk to you
soon and go up at your picks and uh yeah,
we'll see next week.

Speaker 5 (01:00:20):
Ali man, good luck, good night, buddy

Speaker 3 (01:00:22):
You got a man, take it easy, man, later, all right,
later

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
