you guys doing? It's once again the Tuesday episode the

podcast Lost I get to today on the show of
Course You're Gonna get My week eleven takeaways on in
the NFL. Things are heating up in the NFL, of course,
and some thought about the constaball season, the season that
I've not felt engaged in right now. Also last night,
if you'rre wrestling fan, last night was John Cena's final

appearance on Monday Night Raw, which I didn't watch, but
I did see something the Hoighlights after the fact. And
then Michael Obama made some very very uh what some
may say, controversial comments, but I don't find conversial a law.
We'll get to that in just a second before we
do get to all these topics. This weekend was a
kind of interesting one for me because, uh, you know,

very very rare to my wife goes does do. Me
and my wife spend time away from each other for
extant period of time. There are like days like maybe
a day or two, maybe one day where like she's
over go to Disney over night, whatever, But most of
the time we're always together. In the ninety years been together,
we always were almost always together. But this weekend, though
she went away for about.

Three days, she went to uh Well.

The original plan was for her to go to Warp Tour,
the very popular uh Well Well it used to be
very popular and it's that's returned alternative music festival. It
was conor Orlando, and she actually ended up getting tickets
for that way back like something if I'm not taken
last last year around this time, remember, and she got
on free sales at the time, you know, thinking that,

you know, her and her girlfriends and then a group
initially had a group going and that ended.

Up dispanding at the end.
Speaker 4 (02:59):
They're they're gonna go to tour now just before the
bands were announced, and I told her, I'm not a
fan of that. I hate, you know, having to commit
to a festival not knowing if the bands, if the
bands are on the bill, are gonna be good enough
or bands worth seeing, which of course ended up being
the case. And you know through through the year after
we're adding bands that most of the bands she does

on the bill, she was not really she didn't really
care to see She really didn't care to see him,
and she actually, her and her friend end.

Up selling the ticket the day of the show.

For then they got some money back, not all of
it back, obviously had to be they had to cut
prices to make it more worth the while, but they
kept the plans in place and end up going to
to Disney. Now both of them are a big Disney
for people, so that that's.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
Not that's not a big deal.
Speaker 4 (03:47):
So it was just her girlfriend and then so me
and the two boys stayed home all weekend long, even
while I worked with the weekend we had help. Shout
to my friends Donnie and my sister law Cherika for
taking care of my want how to go to work,
and uh, you know, she's away, and you know, I
just hate when she's away. Like you know, no matter

how much you know your spouse might annoy you and
all this stuff.

And at the end of the day, if.

You love your spouse and you love your marriage, you
in which I do, of course, you're going to feel
some kind of way. And when they're away sometimes you
you appreciate people more when not in your face all
the time, you know, And I think that for me
that was definitely the case. Again for me, it hit
me not just the fact that she's away and I
missed her, but also the fact that I'm grateful that

I am, you know, raising two boys with someone instead
of being doing it alone. To say I couldn't do
it alone. I could be a single father with my
sons and still figure a way figuring out a way
to do it.

It doesn't mean I wanted to do that. That's number one.
Number two, it would be very.
Speaker 4 (04:50):
Hard, especially with the stages right now in their lives
now you know, a boy the time, a teenager next year,
and come to couple of things I'm dealing with there.
But it's much It's much easier to do this when
you are with someone sharing kids. When when I when
I in co parents and where at where actually married
couple and we live together and whatnot.

I I don't know how people who will call parents
do it. I don't know how single parents do. Honestly.
Speaker 4 (05:13):
It's tough. And it reminds me how grateful I am
to be involved in a two parent household with an
amazing teammate. My wife is a good teammate, you know,
I love very much and you know, I'll admit I
was a little bit vulnerable with her this weekend, you know,
talking to her the phone a little bit. And I
don't think those mushy details of course, but yeah, that
that was my weekend a nutshell being a single dad,

which is kind of extreme because you.

Know, I was I wasn't being a single dad. I'm
still married.
Speaker 4 (05:39):
It's just that my wife have did not be home,
so I was basically you know, the one parent household.
So but it was it wasn't a fun weekend, of course,
you know. The kids and I we you know, we
watched you know, some not movies with some TV shows
and I think watched Full House on Saturday night or
pizza they I watched football Sunday when I was fine,
and everything one smooth with me watching, and the weekend

honestly went quicker than I realized too, you know. So
but I'm glad you I got to hear it back now.
So this is that, all right? It's got some of
the week five, no so Week eleven takeaways. My top
five takeaways from the weekend. As things are starting to
heat up, man, my first takeaway of course for the
weekend number one, Yo, it is about it, forget forget,

forget to be about it is becoming hella annoying. But
with the newing papers being good again, some of my
Patriot friends now talking shit Drake Mays and MB conversation
the Pats of nine and two and starting to kind
of run away to the division, right now with some
weeks ago, and.

Look, they look really good. I'm not gonna lie, you
look really good.
Speaker 4 (06:39):
I still am apprehensive as to when that they're actually
a super pretender.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
I'm I'm not there yet.

And then they have two quality wins Ones this Buffalo,
Ones get Tampa obviously, you know.

But we'll see.

I mean, I still believe that, you know, there's a
lot more work to be done there for me to
be proven to prove, like the co took all the
oxide of the room the entire year and all of
a sudden now the past now announced becoming the big
favorite of a month now in the NFL.

But we'll see. A long way to go. Man, it's
a long way to go.

Uh, there's still time for teams to screw it up,
time for the pass to screw it up. And I
think this, but I think it's a good story. I
think Mike Graybill now is in the is in the

Shane Styke, can talk about Shane Syke, can talk about
Kyle Shanahan was in San Francisco, obviously. Ben Johnson now
in Chicago when he's doing Chicago, you know, I don't

know the team. I don't believe in big picture, but

I think Mike Rabele right now might have the we
might have to leave right now in fact for Coach
of the Year currently and uh, it's it's a very
interesting situation right now, all right. Second takeaway from me, man,
the AFC playoff picture is going nuts right now. There's

a lot going to go on. Look, we used got
seven weeks left in the season, and look, I think
we're clear at this point that we I think we
have an idea which teams are the better teams at AMC.

We know right at this point Denver is when I
went to.

The AFC West, they're now done into within the big
winning gainst the Chiefs on Sundays. Now they have a
four game lead, actually a five game leading with the
tie break over the Chiefs.

They now got a two game lead over over to
the Chargers.

Now, so I think, I think you believe that the
Durham Broncos are of the class the AMC West.

win the South. Barring and collapse.

But then you have like the AFC North, I don't
think it's doings win the division at all. But even

The three Walt cards are Buffalo, the Chargers, the Bills,
A Chargers, the Jaguars. Right now you have three wall
cards somebody in that order. But the bubble is crazy.
The Texans who start owing three, they're back five and five,
the Chiefs five and five, and all of a sudden,
you know to me they will still be in the conversation,
unt UNTI they're Dennen Burray. I'm not going as the team.
The Ravens now, I've one to five. They're back as
well too. The Dolphins reforms them that they don't count.

So the MC, the AMC Walker Pitt is nuts. Now
obviously I'm a bag game my locks right now. Procles
get in, obviously Pat's getting in. Of course, Colts get in,
not solo skills. As yet, I think Buffalo gets in
the playoffs. I think the try to find a way in.
I think the Ravens will win the division so that
they'll get into the wild card.

And I think the last spot will will.

Be between will be between Kansas City and uh and
the Texans, and I think honest and Jacks rather and
I think honestly, of the two teams, I think the
Canta Chiefs will still finally getting that the wildcard spot.
That is how I feel about that. The NC Pitchers
is a little bit less chaotic. Eagles are gonna lock
to get in, of course, when the East Rams should
win the West, even though they trugg against the Yaks

on Sunday. The Bears right now, that's a cool story,
but that mc norse situation is still really tied up
right now with three three teams right now who don't
want it. Uh, the Buccaneers I'm gonna probably still win
the South, even though Carolina is playing some decent football

Seattle will get in, whether it's a walk card or
a dimension winner.

To all the injuries, but it looked good against Arizona.

the Bucks. I still think the Bucks will find way.
He went to win the South so and then the
Seahawks by four locks. Everything else is up up in
the year, up in the year. I think Detroit will

division winner. I have no faith in other other team,
san Francisco's injuries. I think San Franco might will finally
get in because San Francisco does always as that and
then that's fund for now. But yeah, the player picture
is getting very nuts right now. Version a walcard situation,

Bears first and North, and I still don't believe in

this team. And I think it's because the way the
winning games. I guess it's it's something something you said
about winning games like that, close games, But there's still
seems to be for me anyway, it still feels like
a bit of a fake hustle with the Beers to me, anyway,
I'm not saying, and I know I know beers friends.

will say, though, to his credit, Caleb Williams is really
starting to play better.

They shut down a very good offense in the league

Starting to buy in the Seattle despite that loss on Sunday,
So look up for the Seahawks. They are not done
by a long shot. They were a field goals feel
away from winning that game on Sunday. Graham was a

That game should not have been close as it was,
okay because all those tone numbers, and yet it was
so shout out to the Seahawks. They're gonna hang in there.

Dark and developing all that he might. He might start

they start James again next week. Just just keep Dark,
you know, arrested, you know, obviously not going to playoffs,
and you want to see him developed.

Season This week, all right, speaking of football, I be
honest with you, I've been feeling very disconnected from the
Colosstable season.

Look, here's the thing. I'm still following it. I know
what's going on, I know how system one, I know
what's going on. I know it's been in chaos and
parody driven a year, but I felt like most of
this year I've had one foot out, and I think
a lot of a lot of the reason why it
feels that way for me is because while a lot
of has to do my worst schedule, I do work

Saturdays in my day job, and I tippy don't get
home to about four five o'clock the afternoon.

You know you missed the first Newton games and you

But yeah, I got home, pick up my kids from
where they're at amount of time, I'm like trying to relax,

Also, I forget the fact the worst cuts is what

the season went absolutely sideways after that start.

I was literally very excited about the season season when
it started, when it maybe Alabama week week, week one,

that Virginia loss happened, and then from there, everything from

from that point on became this picked up. You know,
the Miami loss and then you know, the loss to
Pittsburgh and A might have taken a sting for me
this season, and maybe that's the only reason why I
I feel this connected, which is weird, because I love
costball as a whole and there's a lot of really
good stories.

In fact, I gamble along cops. In fact, I gambled bet.
I've done better on comfortable gambling than I have on
the NFL this year. But I just.

Don't feel engaged in this season the same way I
normally am.

It's it's been a great year, man, and this is

last appearance ever on My Night. Well, of course he's
retiring from the WE after twenty five years since you've
been wrestling and we've been the company about the same

Like seeing John Cena and doing this last one year run,
it's been really really cool to watch some degree, but
it has been hard for me to invest in this

is that John Cena isn't from my generation, nor might
picking my fandom, you know what I'm saying. And I
think what sucked to also is that I was invested,

especially to when he turned heel back in March of
every March.

Saint Louis back in May, everything was fine, and then

from that point on everything went to shit. Now, w
I will say, to their credit for on their own end,
they're doing the job making. Let's forget that the scene
of He'll Turn, well the run outside of trend rather
was shit, you know, And one day I like to
see some clarity on why didn't created a better story
and turning back to a baby face because he did.
He was a heel one minute and then all of

a sudden, you can't baby face just just like that,
like he was made face in Summer Slam, and then
that's it, and then we have no reason why. And
this is a problem when you do a turn like
this because I know for years they were asking, they

Hill Turn, and we never got that in his entire career,

Okay, and exactly it was great in the moment.

Everything leading up to WrestleMania was great, you know, the
promos he did was great. But the problem is when
you put a when when we as fans already already
see an endpoint of a career, like we know his
career was ending in December of twenty twenty five. We
knew that as far back as late last year. It

takes the sting out of it, man, it just does,

That's why I always said that maybe that date they
kept saying was probably a swerve.

alone took the sting out of the whole run. Really.

So I mean, obviously John Cena, you know, watching him hindsight,
Like I said, I didn't watch John Cena's peak, Like
you guys know my history. I stopped watching WB in
two thousand and two after the rest of Win. In eighteen,
Sena debuted in the company on the main roster. I
think months after I stopped watching. Okay, his peak obviously

two thousand and four or five, all the way to
two twenty and fifteen, sixteen.

Okay, he was the guy. He was, he was whole COVID,
he was still go Stee Bossing was the rock. He
was the guy. Okay, he was the franchise.

And I obviously knew about him, but I wasn't watching
the product, so I don't have as a strong connection
to Johnson like I do the whole Cogan, Like there's
stroke Steve Bawson, like I could do the Shawn Michaels,
Sprett Hart, you know the rock. There's a disconnect. I
have a strong connection with Roman Rains. I do on
John Sena because I watched woman Rains his peak, especially
last the last five years.

So that's why I didn't have a feel a strong connection.
Now having said that, watching the you know the you
know him, you know says goodbyes and you know, people
appreciating him and whatnot.

I'm not an idiot, like I mean, I watch his
peak by watching enough of john Sena's you know peaking,

more rod for a guy without question. Okay, but again

watching that. I did watch a little of the last

the NFL. Things are heating up in the NFL, of course,
and some thought about the constaball season, the season that
I've not felt engaged in right now. Also last night,
if you'rre wrestling fan, last night was John Cena's final

appearance on Monday Night Raw, which I didn't watch, but
I did see something the Hoighlights after the fact. And
then Michael Obama made some very very uh what some
may say, controversial comments, but I don't find conversial a law.
We'll get to that in just a second before we
do get to all these topics. This weekend was a
kind of interesting one for me because, uh, you know,

very very rare to my wife goes does do. Me
and my wife spend time away from each other for
extant period of time. There are like days like maybe
a day or two, maybe one day where like she's
over go to Disney over night, whatever, But most of
the time we're always together. In the ninety years been together,
we always were almost always together. But this weekend, though
she went away for about.

Three days, she went to uh Well.

The original plan was for her to go to Warp Tour,
the very popular uh Well Well it used to be
very popular and it's that's returned alternative music festival. It
was conor Orlando, and she actually ended up getting tickets
for that way back like something if I'm not taken
last last year around this time, remember, and she got
on free sales at the time, you know, thinking that,

you know, her and her girlfriends and then a group
initially had a group going and that ended.

Up dispanding at the end.
Speaker 4 (02:59):
They're they're gonna go to tour now just before the
bands were announced, and I told her, I'm not a
fan of that. I hate, you know, having to commit
to a festival not knowing if the bands, if the
bands are on the bill, are gonna be good enough
or bands worth seeing, which of course ended up being
the case. And you know through through the year after
we're adding bands that most of the bands she does

on the bill, she was not really she didn't really
care to see She really didn't care to see him,
and she actually, her and her friend end.

Up selling the ticket the day of the show.

For then they got some money back, not all of
it back, obviously had to be they had to cut
prices to make it more worth the while, but they
kept the plans in place and end up going to
to Disney. Now both of them are a big Disney
for people, so that that's.

Not that's not a big deal.
Speaker 4 (03:47):
So it was just her girlfriend and then so me
and the two boys stayed home all weekend long, even
while I worked with the weekend we had help. Shout
to my friends Donnie and my sister law Cherika for
taking care of my want how to go to work,
and uh, you know, she's away, and you know, I
just hate when she's away. Like you know, no matter

how much you know your spouse might annoy you and
all this stuff.

And at the end of the day, if.

You love your spouse and you love your marriage, you
in which I do, of course, you're going to feel
some kind of way. And when they're away sometimes you
you appreciate people more when not in your face all
the time, you know, And I think that for me
that was definitely the case. Again for me, it hit
me not just the fact that she's away and I
missed her, but also the fact that I'm grateful that

I am, you know, raising two boys with someone instead
of being doing it alone. To say I couldn't do
it alone. I could be a single father with my
sons and still figure a way figuring out a way
to do it.

It doesn't mean I wanted to do that. That's number one.
Number two, it would be very.

Hard, especially with the stages right now in their lives
now you know, a boy the time, a teenager next year,
and come to couple of things I'm dealing with there.
But it's much It's much easier to do this when
you are with someone sharing kids. When when I when
I in co parents and where at where actually married
couple and we live together and whatnot.

I I don't know how people who will call parents
do it. I don't know how single parents do. Honestly.

It's tough. And it reminds me how grateful I am
to be involved in a two parent household with an
amazing teammate. My wife is a good teammate, you know,
I love very much and you know, I'll admit I
was a little bit vulnerable with her this weekend, you know,
talking to her the phone a little bit. And I
don't think those mushy details of course, but yeah, that
that was my weekend a nutshell being a single dad,

Know, I was I wasn't being a single dad. I'm
still married.

It's just that my wife have did not be home,
so I was basically you know, the one parent household.

and I think watched Full House on Saturday night or
pizza they I watched football Sunday when I was fine,
and everything one smooth with me watching, and the weekend

the week five, no so Week eleven takeaways. My top
five takeaways from the weekend. As things are starting to
heat up, man, my first takeaway of course for the

Pittsburgh and A might have taken a sting for me
this season, and maybe that's the only reason why I

Like seeing John Cena and doing this last one year run,
it's been really really cool to watch some degree, but
it has been hard for me to invest in this
tribment tour because I think I think I realized too, Els,
is that John Cena isn't from my generation, nor might
picking my fandom, you know what I'm saying. And I
think what sucked to also is that I was invested,

especially to when he turned heel back in March of
every March.

What it was? What was in March? He turned to
heel back in March, right, he was a.

Ton of WrestleMania against against the Quidning Roads as the
heel All that was great, All that was awesome, and
then everything went to ship after that, after the heel turn,
after the title and I'll even give you that first
month when he beat Randy Orton in at Backlash in
Saint Louis back in May, everything was fine, and then

from that point on everything went to shit. Now, w
I will say, to their credit for on their own end,
they're doing the job making. Let's forget that the scene
of He'll Turn, well the run outside of trend rather
was shit, you know, And one day I like to
see some clarity on why didn't created a better story
and turning back to a baby face because he did.
He was a heel one minute and then all of

a sudden, you can't baby face just just like that,
like he was made face in Summer Slam, and then
that's it, and then we have no reason why. And
this is a problem when you do a turn like
this because I know for years they were asking, they
were they was thirsty, thirsty, thirsty about a scene in
Hill Turn, and we never got that in his entire career,

and then we got it in early this year, back
in March.

Okay, and exactly it was great in the moment.

Everything leading up to WrestleMania was great, you know, the
promos he did was great. But the problem is when
you put a when when we as fans already already
see an endpoint of a career, like we know his
career was ending in December of twenty twenty five. We
knew that as far back as late last year. It

takes the sting out of it, man, it just does,
you know.

Now, That's why.

That's why I always said that maybe that date they
kept saying was probably a swerve.

Maybe it is. We're supposed to think that he's retiring,
but he's not retiring. But it was real. So that
alone took the sting out of the whole run. Really.

So I mean, obviously John Cena, you know, watching him hindsight,
Like I said, I didn't watch John Cena's peak, Like
you guys know my history. I stopped watching WB in
two thousand and two after the rest of Win. In eighteen,
Sena debuted in the company on the main roster. I
think months after I stopped watching. Okay, his peak obviously

two thousand and four or five, all the way to
two twenty and fifteen, sixteen.

Okay, he was the guy. He was, he was whole COVID,
he was still go Stee Bossing was the rock. He
was the guy. Okay, he was the franchise.

And I obviously knew about him, but I wasn't watching
the product, so I don't have as a strong connection
to Johnson like I do the whole Cogan, Like there's
stroke Steve Bawson, like I could do the Shawn Michaels,
Sprett Hart, you know the rock. There's a disconnect. I
have a strong connection with Roman Rains. I do on
John Sena because I watched woman Rains his peak, especially
last the last five years.

So that's why I didn't have a feel a strong connection.
Now having said that, watching the you know the you
know him, you know says goodbyes and you know, people
appreciating him and whatnot.

I'm not an idiot, like I mean, I watch his
peak by watching enough of john Sena's you know peaking,
you know, working hindsight to know how Grady was and
is any impacted me to this company? Okay, he's a
more rod for a guy without question. Okay, but again
I would I I don't have the investment like everybody

So so I think his last appearance will be his
special last appearance will be on the last Saturday Night's
main event that will take place, I think, but I'm mistake.

watching that. I did watch a little of the last
Night's highlights that you got a big pop up MSG.

That's why I'm like, don't even look at me about
running because you all are lying you're not ready for
a woman. You are not, So don't waste my time.
You know, we got a lot of growing up to do,

she believes that America is not ready for a female president.

But what she said was interesting too, and by me,
I love the fact that Michelle Obama is very transparent
and open about how she feels. The Michelle we see
now in you know, as a citizen versus the first lady.
She's much more you know, bold about what she she

believes when she says. And that's it. But I do
believe she's mostly right. I think there is still some
pushback from a sector this country that does not believe
that we already. I think the type of company does
not is not ready for a female president.

I've hurt people myself tell me this, so we can't
say it's not doesn't exist. It doesn't exist, you know why.

I think even though there seem people who are on
a democratic side may still feel like that's not the case,
we're not ready for that as well too. But I
do have one pushback on what she said. There one
push back. It's not even made a push back. You know,
she said that, we saw it. She's always referring to

is Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, and Kamala Harris. The problem
is those last two women were flawed candidates. And when
I flawed, I'm not saying there are bad people. I'm
saying to a flawed in terms of of different situations,
Hurry Clinton, me in the worst one. Hurry Clinton. For record,
Hillary Clinton is not only qualified, she is, in my opinion,

was the most qualified person to run for that office
outside maybe George A. W.

Again, to my woman, that was little a senator, Secretary
of State, first lady. She served our country big in
many roles and big roles in this country in government. Okay,
why do not you agree with her politics? It's as
the point she has she's qualified. What makes you qualified
doing jobs in that government in that sector. Well, she's

done that.

The reason why she lost in twenty sixteen is because
she ran the worst campaign in the history of American politics. Okay, again,
I have to I'd have to go back to this again.
You know, her not campaigning in the rust Belt and
states that there were strong Democratic strongholds for generations that

she lost. Okay, Yes, she won a popular vote, Yes
we get that. But the name of the game in
policy is two seventy and she can she can not
do that.

Now, I do agree there is some hypocrisy put people
on the Trump side, you know, where she said something
about the you know, putting you know, supporters have supporters
and ambassad de porables and whatnot. That was very insulting,
and all people were fell certain kind of way about that,
you know, and I agree with them, feel quite about that.
But when when your guy is talking the same kind

of bullshit, if not worse than what she's saying, you
don't have a goddamn word to say, stop, don't crime
river that bullshit be consistent. Okay, all right, But on
top of that, she also her and the Democratic leadership.
I'll say it again to them, the face they fucked
Bernie Sanders royally in twenty sixteen.

So I missed me the bullshit. She ran a horrible campaign,
that's what she lost, Okay, And that's with her still

as flawed as Hillary. I thought she ran an okay
campaign given the circumstances. Remember she she took over to
campaign for Joe Biden with one hundred and seven days
ago last year. Okay, she unfortunately had to deal with
the Joe Biden baggage. Okay, but she also didn't take
full control of campaign because her people kept saying, you know,
follow this and s y and z instead of talking

about some about issues that matter, not going on uncertain podcasts,
not being more open and honest, and being being you know,

So those two women, who I believe are fit to
run office, to be in office, did not run good campaigns.
And I get the game is fucked up because there
are people who are looking look to them saying, well,

feel that that that don't knowing about that, Okay, but

they didn't make anythings easier by by the way they
ran your campaigns mostly hilling Clinton spun You're two you know,
plus Michelle Obama, who I think if she ran president,
she actually made a good chest of winning, be honest
with you, but she ain't running. In fact, I believe
she has nose how to run, okay, And I wish
people will stop trying to make fetch happen. Plus y'all
the deserver, you all deserver because she's too honest for y'all,

and y'all don't want y'all y'all don't want honesty, y'all
met cal Taotu. And this is both sides, bro, and
most of all the Republicans Democrats, do y'all want be
told to do so, mister the bullshit. So do I
think my opinion, do I think America's mean female president?

I actually do think there is still a desire for that.
I do think the numbers of people, that the amount
of people who are against the idea of female president
is diminishing slowly.

of people who do push back on that. We are
still I love this country, I really do, but we
are still pretty backwards still in a lot of ways,
and we need to still grow as people.
