of people they met bread see, I'm like a hurricane,

(00:55):
dura mile breeze.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Earnestly speaking, leave it eat like a tiness grief. First
week podcast recording this on Thursday afternoon about four o'clock
for sixteen November for the Friday show, How You Guys

(01:18):
Doing It Is once again the Friday edition of the podcast.
Lots to talk about today on the show as we
close out another great week here on the Earth. Week
of podcast. I am going to react to a lot
of things that bring up my notes here where to
help my notes go there? It is okay, here we go.
I want to talk about Awful announcing they released their

(01:40):
sports podcast Powerless this past week. I want to go
through some of the names there that stood out for me.
On John Stewart's and his contract dispute with The Daily
Show has come to an end. We'll figure out what's
going on in that situation. George Clooney had some words
about Kamala Harris and her campaign last year. And then

(02:02):
of course we have a really crazy story about Tom
Brady that's something about him cloning his dog. What in
the hell rich folks doing rich Folds ship and I
don't get it. I don't get it. And I also
want to uh react to uh Kyler Murray at his

(02:22):
future in Arizona. This is actually the title of the
show today because I think his I think his days
in Arizona a numbered as you see that Tyler's episode today.
But first I do want to react to the college
football playoff ranking. So we've done, you know this week
where we've done recorded two NFL LATEDT shows ready for
the week, and they were all done before they released
their rankings, the first rankings of the season on Tuesday night.

(02:43):
We record those shows on Tuesday actually Doc General each
was General actually was recorded on Tuesday night before came out,
and of course still the game report was recorded uh
that morning, and of course that was all NFL focused
that that day, as well as the Soul shows. So
we have a we have a chance to record to
react to the rankings of the show. But we do
have our first twelve to twelve teams playoffs right now.

(03:08):
One through twelve. Ohio State, Indiana, Texas, A and M Alabama, Georgia, Ole,
miss BYU, Texas Tech, Oregon, Notre Dame, Texas and Oklahoma
rounds out the top twelve of the College Ball's first
playoff rankings. Of course, we'll get this every week from
now until the selection Sunday, which will be I believe

(03:30):
Thanks I think Thanks being weekend one week after that
actually early December, because it's actually after conference championship week.
Look this list here, no surprises. Has been a very
fluid season, very parody driven season. I expect this list
to change up. The only constant we've seen so far
right now is Ohio State, is right now the best
team in college ball. Now are they beatable? I think

(03:50):
they are. The question is who can beat them? You know,
INDI end it has been a great story, probably the
story of the year right now, A and m doing
the great things alamount balancing back after that tough loss
again the you know against the U Forest in Week one.
They they've been dominant since then. Georgia doesn't look like
the same Jordan team we've seen through the years, but
they're still hanging tough. Of course, all miss has been
a good story by us, a good story as well,

(04:12):
two times a tex horse, you know, being also involved
in the situation. You know, like I said, there's a
lot of things we've seen through the years through this
year that we're still making a sense of the season.
Like we thought Miami was in the conversation, and you know,
Miami or State High State two best teams cost a
wall three weeks ago, and all of a sudden that's changed.
Now miam has lost two games to the last three games.
And also not even in the conversation to they're out.

(04:35):
You know, Rember Forestate was all right hot, running hot
in the first three weeks, and now they're gone. You know,
so it's been a crazy year, and look, this is
what nil does. This is what having a twelve teen
playoff does. It creates more parody. And I'm sorry, I
know and part of me. The only thing I miss
about the Top four the fourteen playoff is that because

(04:57):
it's not so watered down number one, but all so
the top four, because it's such an exclusive list, the
hype for it, everything was a lot more. I feel
like it was a bigger deal than the twelve because
the twelve. Because the twelve we kind of have an
idea what twelve teams are in. Because even the teams
that don't get in for the twelve spot, Okay, you

(05:19):
can make argumentation shouldn't be there because he lost multiple
Games of the year. Okay, you lost the spot, you
had the opportunity, didn't do it. The top four is
a lot more controversial, which I kind of miss that
part as someone with those podcasts and obviously say it
does create content for us. But I do like overall
into the competition the top twelve ultimately, which is really
really good for the sport. In my opinion, I look

(05:43):
like I said, all I wanted today is competition, Man,
I just want competition to watch and whatnot. Now I
haven't said that. Now back to the column everything. Colin
Auray is now on the ir for four weeks. He
was supposed to be healthy ish to come back in
the last couple weeks, but he made a decision to
stick with Jakobra said the team has done very well
with him. No, look, they're not a good team. The

(06:04):
three and six, last place in the NFC West. They're
not going anywhere that could be a playoff team. But
it does open the discussion about Kylin Murray's future. I'm
actually looking right now in real time because Kyler Murray's
contract I don't think is as bad as you think.
And I think this this whole situation spells a lot

(06:27):
of what may happen with Kyler Murray's situation in his contract.
So right now I'm looking at this deal right now
currently he has two more years after this on his
contract where he gets twenty two million next year. And no,
I think that's right. That doesn't look right. Let me

(06:48):
see they were quick. Uh no, no, no, no, no, I
don't look right. There he goes, So he has two
years of this deal, he has a he's getting four
three million this year, okay, and then then his his
deal picks up again next year at fifty three to
two next season, and then one more year of at
forty three five in twenty twenty seven. Then he's a
club option in twenty twenty eight for forty six to three.

(07:12):
First of I don't think it's a gonn he's gona
get to the club option. I think if he does,
he's gonna cut him. And in this year, the little
he's played this year, he hasn't looked that good. He
looked like good at all, you know. And I'm a
coloring friend. And how I know this is the fact
that I have him on Fantasy football, on my fantasy team,
and I've barely started even he mean, he was healthy.
I started him. Caleb woy Was was my my backup,
and I've been playing KiB Was most most of the

(07:33):
year because his numbers are better. You know. I don't
want to keep using fanasy numbers versus versus what's real.
But Kilbis has been clearly better than Colin Murray this year,
and when he was healthy, he wasn't playing all that
great either, So I think his days a number in
Arizona now the question is how he got into contract,
like you can trade him. I think Colin Murray is
still he's still pretty young, so he's he's still a

(07:54):
good quarterback. But the money's getting paid for. I don't
know if it's even worth you know, taking a chance
in it, but I do There are also a lot
of teams that I think to still at least take
a peek. So with that being said, I'm gonna give
you my top five teams that should consider trading for
or acquiring Colamery this off season. All right, Number five,

(08:18):
the Minniculta Vikings. Now you're saying Vikings, Wait, you got
j Jim mccarfey, Yes, we do, but we don't know
if that situation is actually you know good, Like this
lost speculation comes into the into last week that McCarthy
and that that the Vikings may not be necessarily sold
on the guy, and because he paying McCarthy only a
rookie deal, they may have some some wiggle room to

(08:40):
actually acquire a Ray developed quarterback. You know, they remembered
it has seven dollar last year. Then that's them a
walk to get a bigger, bigger deal in Seattle. That's
now backfired in the short term, so because we don't
know the situation with Minnesota and how they feel about him,
because not only that they've only played three, he's only
had three three he starts this year before, so small sample.

(09:03):
I mean, the odds are deal'll stick with mccarthyy. But
that's a team that's at least consider it if things
don't improve. Okay, numberfore, this might shock you again, but
follow me here, Deanianapolis Colts. Here's why Danie Joe has
had a good year. We get all of that, but
there's still another eight games to go. Okay, he can

(09:24):
still melt down. Also, Daniel Jones is on a one
year deal, so he's a free agent. So you have
a decision to make now with the Colts too as well,
that you believe Daniel Jones is worth paying thirty to
forty even fifty million dollars a year. How he does
and that's eight weeks will determine that, Okay, And do
you want to take a chance on that knowing that

(09:45):
he may not be as good as he is right now?
Do you want to go with a guy that Klain
Murray who was at least developed, you know, at least
I would say Commery is still better th Daniel Jones overall, right,
right now, Daniel's not every year, but I think both guys,
I mean, I might still take Cala Murray and a
big a picture, you know what I mean, Although again,

(10:07):
the numbers are the numbers. And if we're just of
course not the future that team at this point, now
he's he's he's a backup. I'm sure they're gonna probably
either let them ride over year or then walk, you know.
So again these that's eight week eight weeks could decide
the future of Daniel Jones and whatnot because again, do
you want to pay that guy that a ton of money?
I don't know, but someone keep looking at all right
number three clean Browns Dylan gave us on the answer. Obviously,

(10:31):
we don't know Shad Door Sanders's and so, and I
think at some point we're gonna see Shad Door Standers
play football, right, We're gonna see that situation play out.
So if that both us to play out, you know
you're ready traded j Joe Flacco. You don't have anybody,
So at that point do you just take a take
a stab at Kler Murray. But at the same time,
you are also stuck, you know, with the you know

(10:54):
contract of the Sewan Deshaun Watson still so it may
not work, but again and owners find ways to make
get things done. I don't know, we'll see, all right.
Number two, the New York Jets. I don't think Justin
feels the future of that team all right. And I
think with all the moves they made with you know,
trading away over the parts are gonna have, they're gonna
have five first rount picks next two years. Justin Feels

(11:17):
is on think on a two year contract and I
might usure in the second year he has is a
team option. I'm not even sure. Even even so, I think, uh,
if you're a Jets, you're at least looking at options,
you know forward. I mean, you'll be starting the contract
maybe in though two years and then that's it. He's
a belove, He's a well known quantity is you know.
I'm not saying Colmar is an elite quarterback, but he
does have moments when he's shown that he's better than

(11:39):
Justin Feels. I would say so, at the very least,
take take take a take a feeler in that you
maybe have Arizona eat some money who knows. Number one
for me, of course the New Orldans Saints. I mean,
I'm not gonna say since Ratler has been horrific, but
he's not the answer. You know that the kids shown
one game of she's played. I think maybe two. Nothing

(12:02):
bare that I'm impressed with. I mean again, I gotta
look at the Saints' books and see how where they
stand because it's historically their caps juintions has been really horrible.
But maybe they're better now, who knows. I'm just looking
at teams that need a quarterback that a guy who
I still think Calim is the top sixteen correct in
the league. Okay, rough season aside, Okay, but that is

(12:24):
the teams I believe. I will throw a caveat here
too also, although that think's a long shot. But if
I'm the Miami Dolphins, your least to take it, you know,
make a phone call, because I would have had Calum
Murray and too Town Kualoa at this point. But the
question is gonna get out to his contract because if
you again, I spoke on this podcast four in the
past that to get out of two US contract it's

(12:47):
gonna cost you. Prop the team about is probably a
sixty seven dollars capy it. Okay, they do it this
this this offseason, so they're they're probably gonna be stuck
with two of another year unless the new GM is
okay with a whole rebuild. Okay, which at that point
you try to see what you got in quinn Ears.
You know, it's the project you drafted, you know, so,

(13:07):
but we'll see how that plays out. Man. But Kyler Murray,
I think his day is a number in Arizona again,
how they get out of bag deal, we'll see. But
the opposition gonn look good. So this is my top
five teams I think should consider am I saying it
gonna happen or whatever he's considered looking to a Colin
Murray UH acquisition this off season. All right, Awful Announcing
has released their UH sports podcast Powerless not in order.

(13:30):
There's names they threw out here. They threw out seven
names here that that that stood out. You know, you
got Bill Simmons, the ringer course of the Bill Smith's podcast,
Colin Coward, who runs the volume of course the Herds
the Herd as well to Pabore of course he's killing
and Paulatory is killing it with the journal and stuff
pa Toy Frids out under mental art media. H you
got Gilbernas's guil of Rena. He's also doing stuff with

(13:51):
u Skip Baalis now he's he's really starting to make
a stab at the in the podcast world. Uh deve
Portnoy course of Barshool Sports. Not a fan of his necessarily,
but you know, you gotta get double due. He's still impactful.
He's he's now doing U College pre game now on
on on f S one now, so he's he's mad.
I mean, he's made a lot of noise. Kylie Kelsey

(14:12):
of course, the wife of Jason Kelcey doing her own
show call not gonna lie and of course a guy
who's very unradied and unless you follow Kentucky sports, but
I've seen his guys work in the past. You know
Bat Jones with Kentucky Sports Radio, who I actually a
fan of. Actually i've heard her couple of material Now
he's more Kentucky focused, so I don't necessarily care for

(14:33):
for that materials. I don't. I don't again, I don't
care about Kentucky sports at all. But he's he's had
powercast in the past that is into you know, that
made me a fan, so he's he's really good in
the media space. There's a couple of guys I would
consider also not unless here. I think Cam Newton's killing
it right now in the space now obviously on first
takedow on ESPN, but he's his material now he's doing
on his own has been really, really, really solid. Man,

(14:55):
He's really killing it. Of course, Shannon Sharp is doing
really good, big things also with his stuff, even despite
losing the job at ESPN, he still doing okay. So
there's a lot of really good podcast host and you
know creators out there, you know which shall put my
name on here, you know, But of course I'm my
big time this yet. So it is what it is,
all right. John Stewart is staying on for The Daily

(15:16):
Show for another year. He has officially extended his contract
to host and serve as executive producer for The Daily
Show through December twenty twenty six. His extension secures his
role for of course, in the year, Stuart continued to
host the show only once a week, primarily on Monday nights.
He remains a full time executed producer of the entire series.
The talented team of Daily Show anchors and Correspondence, which

(15:38):
includes Ronnie Chang, Jordan Klepper, Michael Costa, Desi Leidek, and others,
will continue to rotate the hosting duties for their Tuesday
through Thursday shows. The decision was made following the success
of his initial term in February twenty twenty four, were
significantly boosted the show's ratings and profile. The new deal
insure Stuart will be leading the conversations through the current
administration and the upcoming twenty twenty six US elections. Now

(16:02):
not saying has been speculation about this at all, but
there's a lot of folks in the political world, I'm
trying to say, the political commentary world that think he
should run for president. I'm I'm missed throwing something out here.
The exten is only one year the election. The president's

(16:22):
election is not for another another three years. That's the
least door open. If John Stire ever considered run for
president in twenty twenty eight, that door still open. He
can announce it, toty end his contract and then start
his campaign, toty end his contract and then starts his
campaign twent twenty seven. That is, that is not out

(16:43):
of out of rempossibility. Because following the time night that
Donald Trump did it. Donal Trump announced the presidency a
year and a half before he got elected this first term,
so technically he if Johnstter wanted to do keep that
option open maybe who knows the same. But but what

(17:04):
I do like is that John Stewart is back in
our lives again. We really missed him a lot in
twenty sixteen because remember the Daily Show ended. I think
he stopped and stopped doing that show I think twenty fifteen,
right before Trump got elected, and he can he was
a very good voice to it had and we really
really missed his voice in those eight years prior to
him coming back in twent twenty four. Yeah, it does

(17:26):
suck that you don't give him Fridays four days a
week Fridays a week. But at the same time, I
do think that the cool thing about doing one day
a week, though, is that now because he's only one
one day a week, the one episode the week he
does is more impactful than doing four or five because now,
not to word more word down, you do once a week.
Now you're getting that the impact. Okay, we gotta watch
him on Monday, you know, And like I said, I

(17:47):
don't watch him week because I dude, lot, I have
so much content to watch, but he's all my feed.
So when I do try to have a chance to
catch him, catch him. I dude. He's one of the
most authentic political commentators there, especially in comedy. Yeah, yes
he's left of course, but he's not a lefty to
where he's like annoying and you know biased. He will

(18:08):
call this all now, I mean rememory. When his first
shown he came back last year, he was calling out
Joe Biden administration. Oh he threw through you saw that, right, so,
which the Mistry was pissed about. But fuck him, you
know what I'm saying. But he's gonna see him back
another year. We'll sell happens there. And like I said,
I will speculate about whether not he will run for president.
I maybe at this point, with the bar being changed

(18:29):
as it was, I can't rule it out all right.
Speaking of president, George Clooney has said it was a
mistake for Kamala Harris to step in for Joe Biden
last year after he left the race. George Clooney course
said it in and Recarch sit down and interviewed when
with Stebs Sunday Sunday morning that he had no regrets
about writing his New New York Times hop head, insisting
that the former president Joe Biden bowbow of the twenty

(18:51):
twenty four presidential election. However, in hindsight, he feels that
it was a mistake to have Kamala Harris step in
for Biden as the Democratic nominee. When asked if we
were write, if he would write his New York Times
ipet again it give me a chance, Clean replied, yes,
we had a chance. I wanted there to be, as
I wrote in the ed, a primary, let's battle test
this quickly and get it up and running and going.

(19:14):
I think it was a mistake with it being Kamla Is,
she had to run against her own record. It's very
hard to do. To do it. If the point of
running is to say I'm not that person, It's hard
to do. And so she was giving a very tough task.
I think it was a mistake, quite honestly. But we
are where we are. We were gonna lose more house seats,
they say, so I don't know not to not do it.

(19:35):
Would it would be to say I'm not gonna tell
the truth. After Biden's disastrous performances first resonal debate with
Donald Trump, main in Hollywood called for him to step
aside for a more capable Cleeen became one came to
the facto fate of this movement after There's July twenty
twenty four essay. In it, he wrote of Biden, quote,
we are not going to win in November with this president.
On top of that, we won't win the House, and

(19:55):
we're gonna lose the Senate. This is this isn't only
my opinion. It is the opinion of every center and
congress member and governor. And I've spoken with in private,
every single one, irrespective of what he or she is
seeing publicly. After facing back Lass for the piece, Coloney
told CNS Jake Tapper that he felt it was his
civic duty to call attention to what you believed was

(20:16):
an imperative issue. Quote that's the deal. You have to
take your stand if you believe in it, he said,
take a stand, stand for it, and then deal with
the consequences. That's the rules. So when you criticize what
people criticized me, That criticized me for my stance against
the war twenty years ago. People picketed my movies, and
they put me on a deck of cards. I have
to take that that's fair. I'm okay with that. I'm

(20:36):
okay with criticism. Be from where I stand. I defend
their right to criticize me as much as I defend
my right to criticize them. Here's the thing I agree
with George Clooney. I would rather seeing a primary. However,
what I'm always defended on this situation last year was that,
because of the timing issue, because of the rules about
the war chests, that the money that Joe Biden raised

(20:59):
on his campaign for twenty twenty four was only transferable
to Kamala Harris, not anybody else. So essentially it was
the more prudent decision to go with Kamala. Now again,
I'm someone that wants to open primary. I want the
people in the party to have the voice to make
the decision, not the people running the party. Not not

(21:19):
not to the super packs, all this bullshit. The Democrats
always pull every so goddamn game of four years. Okay,
but I understand why Comma was was was the reason.
And of course you're you're you're also doing this on
a fly for one hundred and seven days to go,
so it made sense, okay. And here's the thing too. Also,
had Kamala Harris did a message from the first couple

(21:40):
of weeks before they changed message again toward the end
of the campaign, she might have actually won. But you
know again, Democrats shoomself foot every time. Also, and people say, well,
you always speak of the Democrats on I don't give
a fuck. He's the deal. If you're a Democrat, okay, whatever,
and you're you're anti Trump and you're in Donald Trump

(22:00):
is supposed to be this looming figure that scares you.
Of course. Okay, you're telling me this, I'm not saying
it yours, all right, sorry my microphone. All right. The
Democrats are your guardrails. They are your guardrails, so you
need to treat the threat as you say. Serious. So

(22:22):
having eight year old Joe Biden there as your last
line defense not good. Okay, That's why I was critical
last year of it. Okay, So, but Clooney's correct here.
But had had honestly, had they maybe a change early on, earlier,
earlier than July mainly primary would have been more but

(22:44):
it would have been would worked out. But honestly, here's
the thing to also he did the primary. Honestly, I
still think they would raise enough money in time. I really,
I really believe so. Because there was it was because hello,
Calm Harris. Once she entered the race, not including the
money they already had in the war chest, she was
clearing donations like crazy. So but you know, like I said,

(23:06):
it is what it is. We're here right now, as
George Queen said, and that's that's just that, all right. Well,
last thing to get out of here a story that
to me, I'll be honest you, it's a little disturbing
to me in my opinion. But Tom Brady, hall of Fame,
as sooner be Hall of fining quarterback, recently revealed that
his current dug Judy, is a clone of his former
Blue Web pet, a football mix named Lua, who passed

(23:28):
away in December twenty twenty three. Uh Lua, a football mix,
was a doctor by Brady and his ex wy Wi
Jizelle Bunched in twenty fourteen. She passed away in late
twenty twenty three. The cloning was performed by Colossal Biosciences,
a Dallas based biotech company that Brady is an investor in.
Brady stated that the company used a non invasive cloning
technology through a simple blood draw taking from Lua before

(23:50):
she died. The announcement about Juni being a clone coincided
with Costal biass but Colossal Bioscience's announcement that it was
acquiring via Gin Pets and Equine, a well known animal
cloning firm that has also clone pets with other celebrities
like Barber Stritz and Paris Olton. Brady expressed that the
company gave my family a second chance with a clone
of our future dog, and it's excited about the potential

(24:12):
for the merged companies to help both families losing pets
and efforts to save endangered species. This decision has sparked
debate regarding whether regarding with the ethics of put cloning
with critics is raising concerned about the well forever animals
involved in the process. I hate this shit, bro, This
is this weird shit. I know what in the world
AI and now cloning and all this stuff where we're

(24:34):
hitting some really weird uncharted waters. When it comes to
some of these things where we're gonna be doing very soon,
I don't like it because here's why. Don't want to
look at this rich people do rich people things. We
got money to fucking blow we're gonna do. I get it,
you know. And here's the thing with Brady, I'm sure
there was well intent with this. I'm not gonna sit

(24:56):
and say Brady was malicious and trying to do something
that's this out of out of whack. But I'm gonna
keep it one hundred here, guys, this is weird as fuck. Bro,
this is weird as fuck. I'm sorry, you know, And
personally as someone who is a pen owner, who now,
I lost my dog a couple of years ago, but
I was a a dog owner for a long time,
and I had two dogs a long time, and one

(25:16):
passed away when I gave away because I had you know,
when I have kids and she's gonna look got more
aggressive with the kids, I have to make decisions to
give her to another another family. But I also am
someone that as a pen owner, I am a firm
believer in adopting. You know, I already have massive problems
with people with people and owners breeding dogs as is.

(25:36):
Now we'll go home and breathing the cloning. Now, Bro
not a fan. Bro, He's not a fan. And I
get it. I get it. You know. But here's the thing.
You're not getting the same dog anyway. Even if you
clone it, it's still not the same personality. It's all
is is this a clone? You know? I to me,
it's it's just fucking weird, bro, It's just really weird.

(25:58):
And I'm not a fan of it. And I look,
I I no, I'm not gonna do to stop it,
you know. With AI, with cloning, we're going on some
really weird waders here. All gotta say, I thank god
I'm older. I want to deal this ship. And if
I deal with this stuff, if I was my kids
age and I have to deal all this AI stuff
and cloning and all this weird things that we don't
know what's going on, I'd be so like unprepared for

(26:21):
this stuff. It's weird, and I think it's weird. I'd
rather you adopt save a dog that needs a saving,
you know, this is my opinion. Man, you do want
to do but it's it's it's it's just fucking weird, bro,
it really is. And we'll end the show right there
and away again. David uh November seventh, actually two twenty five.
I am on X at E J crin and seven
