Speaker 1 (00:07):
The Earnestly Speaking Podcast is a show that is founded
on free flowing conversation and may it times venture into
mature subjects. Listener discretion is advised.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
Yeah, Earnestly Speaking Podcast. It's kidding how.

Podcasts Records Late Night.
Speaker 4 (01:15):
This number four is a third rather twenty twenty five,
and we are here at the Sticking Report, but right
now with me for a couple minutes, uh and just
gonna come in through you guys before bringing Kyle in
just a second. Tonight is kind of monamental night for
me and for the show, because we are will be
the last podcast record in this studio, this room when
(01:41):
we call it. I've been recording shows in this room
for now close to eight eight years. Now we start
doing now I've been to this podcast now what we're
entering up things there next year, but eight of those
years have been almost eight those years have been in
this room. It's amazing how how fast time is gone.
And it's you know, I don't make big deals out
(02:03):
of that. What's happening to my nothing big. We're moving family,
We're moving to a new place now. The funny thing
is that we're not mean moving that far. We're actually
moving literally where we live at in our development. We're
moving literally two buildings over, so it's not a big move,
but it would be the first time moving out of
this place in about eight years. And I love this
place and I love this real room and studio I've
(02:25):
built here with of course last eight years, and it's
come to an end. After tonight's podcast, we are we
have plans to do something, hopefully bigger, hopefully a big
project in a new place here. Hopefully I won't necessarily
open those I o wn't necessarily disclose those ideas yet,
but I'm hoping to do something on a grander scale
(02:46):
with the podcast in a coming year or so, hopefully
with the new move here. But this is the last
show we're doing recording here in this studio. And you know,
you know, through the years, you know, first of all,
this this show wasn't you guys didn't know this because
this show alling up until the last maybe two years,
we started doing video consistently on the show, but it
(03:08):
wasn't late twent twenty three we started doing videos, like
we've did videos here and there, and we'll do like
videos only with like guests whatever, but we never actually
did videos all the time until now, and very rarely
do we ever do non video shows less than the
guests that one videos or I just wanted to do
an episode one videos.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
We always do videos.
Speaker 4 (03:25):
So yes, it was never really a big deal about,
you know, because you guess didn't know where was that
anyone recording shows in early years because we would do
the shows naughty only, but obviously having a video aspect.
Now you've gotten a little more intimate now with what
we do here on speaking podcasts, and I just want to,
you know, tell you guys, and I'm not sure if
you guys, because I wasn't e gonna say anything about this.
I was gonna say, well, you know, we're gonna move.
(03:46):
You're not gonna pinably notice anyway, maybe some of the
background a little bit. But I figured I say something
about it now because it's it's a big deal I'm getting.
I won't say, get emotional about it because I one
of the things I'm starting to realize I got older
is I don't like to get too attached to things,
thus as my family or you know, on my kids
or you know, I don't.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
Get attached to things the way I used to because
that's life. Things change.
Speaker 4 (04:09):
But you know, you guys know how important this podcast
is to me in my life. And uh, you know,
and this has been this is the labor of love,
and it's something I am very very passionate about. So
being able to being you know, or moving something that
has been such a regular thing in my life for
the last you know, almost a decade. Now, it's in
an area that's been like my you know, my it's
(04:32):
been realist. It's been my safe space. I do all
my work here, I do you know, you know it
was it was not recording a podcast, producing here, editing here,
you know, creating here. All of my connectorations is done
here in this room, and so it's you know, it
becomes something that more than just a space. And again
I don't want to get too attached to it in
(04:53):
a sense, but at the same time, it's like it's
a part of you, you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
So, like I said, this is the last show worcording
to night in this room.
Speaker 4 (05:01):
We're moving asking a couple of days, so we're not
recording on the show until we get to the new place,
which will be in a few days.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
So I just want to share it with you guys.
Speaker 4 (05:08):
Uh as we get started on the show with Kyle
and this is a couple of seconds, but uh yeah,
that's all's.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
Going on here. We're moving new studio. Uh, we should
be settled in pretty quickly. Like I said.
Speaker 4 (05:19):
If if we are, it's a possiblit, we're gonna be.
We're gonna be doing something more on a grander scale. Holly, Yeah,
I'm gonna Yet, we're working on some ideas in the
coming months if that works out. So I would love
to do more in studio podcast with the guests, not
just on here on you know, you know, recording and
(05:39):
you know, on Ramelow, but also in person, and I
may have this place to do that going forward if
that plays out in the future.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
So again, so great, eight years here in this studio.
Speaker 4 (05:50):
Well again, we shift the operations now to another place
in a few days and nothing, nothing will change. Obviously
the contest will be the same. And uh we'll keep
rolling on as we enter a fifty year of this podcast.
And I'm very proud of that, of that. Uh, that's
that thing.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
So all right, man, has Kyle has be being in
the student game report for one in a few weeks.
All right, it's the studio report. It's the Wednesday night
late night. This is study report of course with my
man Kyle, f and Nash. Here. What's up? What's going on?
What's going on? But you look so tan today? How
you doing a cruise? Something I did? I Thanksgiving cruises
(06:26):
highly recommend you do once in your life. And listen,
I'm I'm not gonna say that I changed credit cards
to to get points towards another cruise, but I may
have done that. I'll just throw it out there. I
would love to go a cruise.
Speaker 4 (06:38):
Unfortunately, our good friend and my wife, Lauren is anti cruise,
anti boats.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
Well, whatever's wrong, and that's okay.
Speaker 4 (06:47):
Yeah, and she says you had tech now she said
a technout, she says me, a text breakfast in the morning.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
Oh sure, but yeah, you want to know where you
can get really great breakfast every morning? Fucking cruise moving on.
Oh my god, that's for you, baby, I'm so mad
that I'm not having exbed. Well, we got lots of
lots of Bob. I think last thing on the show
(07:15):
was every time I talked to you on a podcast.
That's true.
Speaker 4 (07:20):
Well, I recorded, well, I'm saying that as you saying
that to me, not me dissing you. Just just sure
I get that now you already know this. And I
record a cold open for this episode, but obviously open burn.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
Sorry.
Speaker 4 (07:33):
Yeah, but as you know, this is now officially the
last recording we're doing in the studio, uh, because we
are moving from here today. You did tell me we're
actually packing, actually paid packing the whole place up at
tomorrow morning.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
Actually, so we're younger. I would have offered help and
then realized you did it on a workday, so you know,
a work for me. You have a lot more fun,
you know, doing what you do. You know with the
Kettle Club. You had that podcast opportunity fall in your lap.
It's go pretty good man. That a good show today. Actually,
that's a good so no, no, listen you you are
(08:08):
definitely the fun guy on that show. It's it's a
lot of fun with what you and the guys.
Speaker 4 (08:15):
We're gonna talk about the show today. I mean, we
had a chance to talk about football in a while
at least on air here.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
Damn. Normally we go NFL first with the report, but
I want to reverse that. Time of the year, we
can't do that. Yeah. Yeah, college is.
Speaker 4 (08:28):
Right now, and you would think right now when we
talk about conference championships, the playoff twelve coming up on Sunday.
But Lane Kippen is taking all the oxide of the room.
Lane Kippen going to l s U. But it's not
so much him going l s U. It's the way
it's happened. It's the timing of it all. Yeah, And
there's a lot of feelings either way about this move
(08:50):
and the way it's happened. What's your thoughts on it?
Speaker 2 (08:54):
If you do? Okay, So there's a few things. I
don't don't think any opinion on Lane Kiffen is just
outright wrong and incorrect. I'm gonna lead with that. What
do you mean those who think that Lane Kiffin is
all about Lane Kiffin? Yeah, you're right. I agree with that.
(09:17):
For those who think that ole Miss shouldn't let him
coach or any of that, yeah, I think you're also
right in this era, and I know the people out
there who know me and have followed me on your
in Earnestly Speaking podcast for anxtended period of time, know
that I also do work with the Black and Gold Banneret,
(09:38):
and I'm currently covering a coach who was allowed to
coach and extended time into the Fiestaval which I also cover,
Not the Fiesta Bowl, I'm sorry, the UH Peach Bowl
where they got their controversial national championship recognition and he
was allowed He and his coaches were allowed to do
(09:59):
that before moving on to Nebraska. Of course, I'm referring
to Scott Frostyl. Why is it okay with Frost or
not with Lane Kiffin or even I'll give you the
example example of summer all with Tulane and all that.
Two huge differences. One in UCF's case back then still
a G five school, not a legitimate threat because also
(10:23):
at the time with ucfn IO wasn't a thing.
Speaker 5 (10:25):
Because too late. No, nobody is worried about a coach
recruiting former players in the G five up a level
if they're good enough.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
Programs like that are prepared to already lose them, or
at least they should be if they're with their salt,
which I believe that two lane good Green Waves such
as they are, are a worthy program for the American
I don't think they should be a power conference team. Yet,
separate conversation punchlines this when you're going from one SEC
(11:02):
school to another that is not the same ernest Christian Yeah, okay.
Speaker 4 (11:07):
Bet one SEC school that's one that's actually been pretty
big last five years. Another one who's one of the
titans of the conference.
Speaker 2 (11:14):
Uh. I mean, well, and here's the thing. You can
lose a donor and have a program go completely to hell.
Just ask Mike Gundy of Oklahoma formally of Oklahoma State.
I might add, right I I I think there's just
too many other little intricacies to make it as simple
as well he could do. No in this day and age,
(11:36):
I think nil has and the calendar. Let me be
clear and rightly so, going full clatt in all of this. Right,
the calendar sucks in college football. Fix the damn thing.
And I know people, well coaches can do this and
go to bird to bird, but coaches have a lot
more risk than players do nowadays, EJ. That's the fact
of the case. Fight men almost but they almost makes
(11:58):
me a a you know, because I know Clayne's all
the criticism and I get it, but they didn't Ole
Miss by putting a deadline on this whole thing. She
get more christ for that too as well. Completely disagree
because they've seen this movie. Lane Kiffen is a performance
(12:19):
artist in times like this when he's recruiting, right, this
is the guy that allegedly purposefully did the bad recruitment
video as as like a joke for FAU Right. You know,
this is a guy who who is is big and
likes it at least appears to like being in the headlines.
And and the way that Lane made this campaign in
(12:44):
the public eye, so to speak, all Miss was like
enough of that shit, and and and and and I
get it. There's there's advantages and disadvantages to to a
hard line in negotiations like that, but I like in it.
I liking it very much to the Packers and Brett
Favre more than anything else. Well, I mean my my
(13:08):
field on this too.
Speaker 4 (13:09):
Also, I don't feel bad for either party this because again,
the loophole's there. You know, there's no there's nothing I
legal happen here. You know, I don't think that's the conversation, right,
This is football. This is about morality here, ethics, I
think is the better word. And I'll add this if
(13:30):
if the thing that puts people in this precarious position
is the calendar. That being said, if LSU wanted Lane
Kiffen that bad, they would have let him participate.
Speaker 2 (13:49):
They would have kept everything under the rug. They would
have allowed him to participate with old miss and then
made the announcement and broke all the news and stuff.
Right uh now, granted, how hidden one can keep such
things as a separate conversation, but I think the circumstances
surrounding Brian Kelly's acquisition ironically at LSU proves that things
(14:12):
can be kept under the radar with proper operation. But
what is it that that Robert Downey aka Tony Stark
as iron Man says you would need a class A
diva son of a bitch, and he realizes what Loki's
attacking right in the So it's I think it's like
(14:32):
that everything could have been done clandestine and everything. If
lang he Kiffin really gave a shit about taking Old
Miss to the playoff and attacking a national championship. To me,
this proves me on a reasonable doubt that that isn't
foremost for him. Does this mean I think it's not
a good coach or shouldn't be allowed to operate that way? Listen,
(14:55):
I've come around on the way Notre Dame buys their
way to the top year in year out, and it's
I'm not shitting on Notre Dame for this anymore. There
was a time that made me angry, but now that
college football has been just so nakedly money based, all
Notre Dame was was ahead of the curve.
Speaker 4 (15:15):
Yeah, this is not an issue. If All Miss isn't
this good. If Ole Miss is not in the top
twelve with a playoff rankings, if they're a team, most likely.
Speaker 2 (15:25):
It's because forsaking the playoff, that's correct, right Otherwise, if they.
Speaker 4 (15:28):
Have three losses right now, no even having two losses,
because you make an excuse of two losses that.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
You know what, because with two losses, I think they
still get it. Probably, but see they have three losses. Yeah,
that's one. Gives a shit? Would side note blame Texas
because now is a three loss team, dethroned and undefeated team.
If you have three losses, you'll already be behind Texas
because they did that unless they get a fourth. Awesome,
(15:54):
how it can't right, So.
Speaker 4 (15:58):
I guess my question now. But because not only has
Lane Kiffen left Ole Miss, now you have the coaching staff.
I know it's the whole coaching staff, but I think a.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
Trunk of the the main complaint is the offensive coaching
staff joined him to go to l s U. Correct.
Do you think it will hurt them in the rankings
come Sunday? And should it hurt in the rankings come Sunday? Yes?
And yes, because I have to remain consistent to have
thrown your seminoles under the bus. Mockers up, but you
(16:32):
have to I have to be consistent, and they had
no business in the top four. Fucking deal with it. Okay,
they were terrible in the conference championship game and in
fact looked like entire ass. The difference being Ole Miss
does not have that opportunity to prove themselves or let's
shall we say, disprove themselves like FSU did in their
(16:54):
conference championship. That's the only real difference is we won't
get an actual on field example, albeit small. We won't
be able to see that impact. Do I think it
has less impact than an injured quarterback that was a
Heisman Trophy camp and it? Fuck? Yeah? Do I think
it still has an impact? Maybe they drop a spot
(17:14):
or too sure? Should they still make the playoff? Absolutely,
So you're still get in and you think it could hurt,
but I think you think ultimately will not hurt them overall.
Here's my whole thing. You can't come out here and
bitch about how coaches are entitled and rich and do
all that, and then a move a coach makes penalize
the players. You can't talk both sides of your mouth
like that.
Speaker 4 (17:34):
You can't do it makes sense, makes sense that now
there is one of the biggest and I'm looking forward
to on sund how this plays out, because obviously we
have com and we'll cover in a second a comp
championship predictions all that, But there's a scenario brewing here
and it's been coming up the last fuel weeks now,
but it seems like it's gonna happen that it could
be a scenario where the last bock come down to
two schools, Nor.
Speaker 2 (17:54):
Dame in Miami.
Speaker 4 (17:55):
Now you have the situation where like one school in
Ner Dame has two losses but two good losses, Miami.
Speaker 2 (18:03):
All motherfuckers mock me when I talk about quality losses.
Speaker 4 (18:06):
Miami has two bad losses, but they did beat Notre Dame.
So one of those two good losses Notre Dames has
is against school sorry my microphone here, that school Miami.
Speaker 2 (18:18):
So you have a situation like what is more important
the quality losses or the you know, you know, quality
losses or the head of head ahead. Well, and here's
the question I asked of you, EJ. Christian, where do
you think I'm gonna sit on this? Who has been
(18:41):
year in year out the most overrated conference in fucking
college football? And don't they it doesn't damn right, the
A c C. And it's so egregious that what you said,
in your pure football ignorance, because you're allegedly a basketball guy,
you didn't even whisper anything about BYU. And that's fucking bullshit. Yeah,
(19:06):
a big twelve ted to toe is better than the
ACC and was willing to acknowledge it because they don't
watch the fucking game. So Miami is pretty much like
four to State two years ago. Worse. Worse because I
have two losses on top of that. Yeah, because at
least Iff for one, FSU at least lost the fucking games,
(19:28):
or excuse me, won the fucking games two. FSU had
an SEC loss. Check that FSU had an SEC. Well,
they caused an SEC loss by beating Brian Kelly a
game I was at, by the way, right in their
opener at the Citrus Bowl, or well Camping World Stadium
(19:48):
more correctly, stay right. At least they had all of that.
That FSU team was a good team. As much as
I want to crap on the Seminoles, and there's lots
of reasons to do so, joke j Christian relaxed. What
I'm good. I can't hate him that much, man, Listen.
I I I don't necessarily think that Gus Mason is
(20:09):
the best coach in the nation, but I like the guy.
I'm not trying to crap on. But same as my
my with Mike Norvell. By the way that that dude's gotten.
That's that's some bad luck over there. An f S.
Speaker 4 (20:19):
Talk that one that Zach can't stand a guy well
novel to be for the Zach though he's won a
novel out even.
Speaker 2 (20:27):
Year and and and and that's just more a football
ignorance on Zach's part.
Speaker 1 (20:33):
But I.
Speaker 2 (20:36):
Enjoy is how he's always ready to bring a towel
to any occasion. Anyways, this motherfucker has a towel. That's
all I'm saying. Degenerate, I think you'll take that as
a compliment. Will trust me that he's not as one
let me be clup skin so I I mean that
as a competent. I really do. I like the guy.
(20:56):
He just never talks to me. He's afraid of me
or something. Anyways, Uh yeah, I feel like the state
of college football being what it is when the ACC
dissolves is the only time that the Big Twelve is
going to have its actual fair shake. What's really going
to be is interes state. If BYU wins the title
(21:18):
game in the Big Twelve, they won't, what will that
actually do? And does that knock Miami out of contention
as it should? Which I mean, hey, listen Notre Dame
and fans. You chose to your school, chose to buy
their way to the top something. Again, I'm on record
many places to understanding better than I have, certainly in
(21:39):
the past couple of seasons. If not beyond, I would
argue beyond. I don't know. I need to go back
and listen to some of the tapes. But I will
say that this is the risk of not being in
a conference. An argument can be made against you. You
can give the committee an excuse and sometimes will take it.
(22:01):
What's what's crazy? And I don't know if you have
the same feeling I do on this.
Speaker 4 (22:05):
I'll ask you this question though. Sure, so the Playoff
twelve I don't have. I don't have it right now
in front of my head though, But.
Speaker 2 (22:11):
Yeah, of course you don't, because you're only the host
of the show. You would this came up about nowhere.
I'll bring up to a second.
Speaker 4 (22:17):
I can I can argue of the Playoff twelve currently
right now that was really revealed yesterday that Miami based
on the eye test. Now just based on record, and
it's based on my own eye test. And I don't
know how you may feel the same as I do.
Maybe don't they are least better to have the teams
in the twelve incorrect in my opinion, you don't think
so dramatically stupid.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
I think that's the Probably the only thing that's more
annoying is people trying to convince me that Oregon is
actually the fifth best team in the nation. And that's okay,
Yanna being too. By the way, Miami is not a
good football team. I'm so oh oh I did anything
on there? I thought, wow, And look, I'm not here
defending Miami. You know I can't stay Miami. I mean,
(22:59):
let me rephrain when I say they're not a good
football team. I'm not here to say like, oh, they're
they're They're asked they should be ranked one hundred. I
don't mean that. I mean, what have they really shown us?
Their one win is a team that I keep hearing about,
which is weird that I'm hearing about it, and I'm
not the one saying it this time, but I keep
hearing about is so over ranked and underappreciated. I might add,
(23:23):
by the way, that this win in question was so
god dang long ago, right, and it was only a goal.
It was not like you dominated that game. And and
listen that that part should matter if these teams were
in fact tied.
Speaker 4 (23:42):
Not we to We told about quality wins for acquit
losses rather for these two two schools. And we agree
that nor Dam has two better losses. However, one of
those losses against Miami correct one. Yeah, but quality wins though,
like I know, mine have much quality wins in the schedule.
I mean, maybe we can find someone in there.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
But where Norton? What what are Nordon's quality wins this year? Now?
By whose measure are we talking about? First of all,
see this is I'm like you said that because you
are a lot more critical about schools than the average
beer out there. Here's the stupid it all. Somebody's gonna
(24:23):
say to me that the cows of West Florida, sorry,
the South Florida Bulls are a quality win because they
were at the time, right, they never should have been.
But was a fund record by you know what are
you talking about? Do you know what the final record
was by a chance? Oh for South excuse me for
West Florida, South Florida, Yeah, West Florida. Correct, because they're
(24:44):
not in the South, not in the American by the way,
they're not even playing in a G five conference championship game.
That's North Texas and too late just for everybody that
has their context, right. So yeah, sometimes I'm trying to
find Nor Name's quality wins this year though, so because
(25:05):
that's the arment that people using the quality loss all night,
and I get all that, I'm not listen. I I
it's a question that should be asked. I thoroughly agree
with it. What I'm saying. See, this is the inconsistency
of everything right now. Everybody's asking where the quality wins are. Meanwhile,
South Carolina being numerous top top twenty five teams and
(25:27):
no one gives a ship last year, what the fuck
are we doing?
Speaker 4 (25:32):
I mean, no, no, no, no, I'm going to say
they beat to beat USC at home US sixty for
the audience you're talking about, Notre Dame, right, nor Name right,
So they beat usc USC is not a quality win.
But go on, uh yeah, there really aren't much quality
wins in the schedule, bro for either team is the
(25:55):
third team.
Speaker 2 (25:55):
So to me, this is where this is why I
lose my fucking mind, Kyle.
Speaker 4 (26:00):
If neither team has quality wins at all, and yes,
both have, there is a some version of quality losses. Yes,
we agree that Nor Dame's losses are better than Miami's losses.
Speaker 2 (26:13):
The problem is one of most fucking losses or against
the same exact fucking team in Miami. And here's the problem. Guy.
First of all, that was by a field goal. Then
the next week a team that went months undefeated in
a m there should be no debate. But in the
toughest conference in college football, they're lost by a point.
Speaker 4 (26:35):
Yeah, that needs to matter that, bro, I'm telling now
that that SMU lost to Miami had that's fucking them, Bro,
that's fucking them.
Speaker 2 (26:44):
Of course it should not as much as the Louisville
won in my opinion. But also, yes, no, honestly, Louisville
weeks weeks and weeks away, months away from that loss
not a bad loss. Actually, it really it's not. It's
every school outside of your name. Also, Ohio State maybe
has a has a weird loss this year. Buddy, buddy, buddy,
(27:07):
that doesn't fly here. Okay, now, no, stop it. They're
not a former defeated SEC team, Stop it, fucking stop it.
Louis vo is the only school I will give you, no.
Speaker 4 (27:21):
I think if if both are washing on wins and
both are quality losses. The tip of tween Tiber goes
head to.
Speaker 2 (27:28):
Head and I get the holy yea and they played
week one a week two? What it was? I get
all that, but god heads got a couple something right
it should. I just don't think these teams are close,
because when you go down the list, right, the the
top team that either gut group is beaten group either
(27:48):
team is beaten is pitt and and really, how good
are they? Like? But it's frisky but not great? Right?
Exactly right? But you know Notre Dame beat them both,
and they were both beaten in dominant fashion. Check that
they were both beaten seven three this year actually not
(28:08):
to terrible, but still Pit was eight and four in
an A C C. That's ass stop it sorry, put
the backup based on where they were at the time. Sorry, okay, yeah,
and okay, this at the time measurement is such stupidity.
I've done that. No, no, no, I'm I'm just gonna
(28:30):
go off the record. I said a frisk get it
said they were great. So that's that's very nice of you,
f s U fan. This is a PIT team that
beat an alleged Georgia tech team that I'm supposed to
be afraid of too. Right, just stop it, you we
get down to the nitty gritty with the actual problem
is it's the A C. C.
Speaker 4 (28:51):
Period, the same, the same monster once again, that show
we had two years ago Florida State.
Speaker 2 (28:59):
I'm right.
Speaker 4 (29:00):
I still believe that if Jordan Travis was healthy, Number one,
they don't play that They gets louisble in that conferce
stamp tip and they get in because they'll beat record
and they're healthy.
Speaker 2 (29:08):
Yeah, okay, that was the big thing.
Speaker 4 (29:11):
However, But to your point though, with you on this one,
to your point, though, the ACC being shit.
Speaker 2 (29:19):
Is hurting these schools. You have to run the table
because the table we have the playoff in any form
at all. Right, the BSc, no, I said it correctly.
The BSc was abolished because teams were hiding behind weak
ass schedules, specifically the ACC and among them your Bobby
(29:40):
Bowden seminoles. By the way, I said what I said, Hey, listen,
you win football in a basketball conference and sometimes losing
it too. I'm not respecting you as much. Punch. If
we don't attack strength of schedule, we are compromised. And
(30:02):
I've said it since last year DJ SMU was the reason,
Clemson was the reason, Indiana was the reason the first
time then, and I didn't have to bring up Notre
Dame losing to a G five because at least later
they came to prove themselves worthy in the playoffs. If
you think we're that bad, prove it, Oh, Penn State,
you couldn't go fuck yourself? I get it, okay, but
(30:29):
but at this point teams hiding behind week schedules is
compromising the playoffs. It's terrible. I agree with that. What
was the record semis records of the year. Wasn't that
all that great?
Speaker 6 (30:45):
Right?
Speaker 2 (30:46):
What are you talking about SEM's record this year?
Speaker 4 (30:50):
They were eight and four, not horrible, but again, agency's
trash though, Man, we'll be doing here bro like.
Speaker 2 (30:57):
Look, I'm a fan of a school in the aceency
and I can confessed to myself. Let me be clear
about something you're bringing What what other teams that came
up from the American had to fight to get up
an earnest spot at least one season, SMU came in
and dominated immediately. If it weren't for Trevor Lawrence in
(31:23):
the COVID year, Notre Dame would have done the same
fucking thing. Yeah, is there a scenario Kyll that the
committee let's both these schools in. No, No, I just
don't think there's enough room. I don't think it will
come under Dame Miami. Most likely it shouldn't. And and
(31:46):
and granted it would make me wrong in my prediction,
I'll lead with that, and that would be somewhat a
suffering thing. I would laugh thoroughly if by You somehow
gets in. If they play Texas Tech close and they
sneak in over both of them, It's not gonna happen,
mind you. I'm not even saying that that's will win, right,
(32:09):
that's the wind. Well, obviously if they win, they'll get
the automatic bin. So right, that's that's exactly I can't
say it that way. And what what would be funny?
What would be justice funny? In your defense, Let's say
b Yu beats Texas Tech. They won't, and then Tech
sneaks in over one of these humpy bumpies. Oh boy, Yeah,
(32:31):
those blue bloods are gonna be pissed. And the one
thing is I hate nor Day Mimi both, so I
can care less. I hope they both missed the fucking
playoff personally, whatever you say, Irish, but I what I
do Ago.
Speaker 4 (32:42):
But I also agree with the fact that both of
these schools, in my opinion, based on eye tests, are
top twelve schools in.
Speaker 2 (32:48):
College football in my opinion. Unfortunately, this is not how
it works now, yeah, right, and and the best defense
would be well, this is trash. Notre Dame doesn't have
a college championship to hold them down. Miami couldn't even
make it.
Speaker 6 (33:05):
M what are we doing?
Speaker 2 (33:07):
What the fuck are we doing? All right, so let's
get to Uh so you didn't even got to know.
What do I think will happen? I think Notre Dame
gets in there. This is one time where capitalism will
work in our favor in college football at pissed on
my fans in my areas for sure?
Speaker 4 (33:28):
All right, problem because some predictions here Conference championship, I
mean some of these games here, uh, the ones that
matter really one thing else?
Speaker 2 (33:37):
Uh, get out of the way. A C title game
Virginian Douko wins. Who the fuck cares? Exactly right? I
got Virginia, you got sure? Okay?
Speaker 6 (33:47):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (33:48):
The big one Ohio State Indiana, Ohio State All day
two touchdowns are you sold in the NML being good
now or are you still uh me Indiana being what?
What what have in?
Speaker 7 (34:00):
Now?
Speaker 2 (34:00):
Two years now? Two years in this this this turnaround?
Are they a quality team to you in your eyes? Now?
Two years in? No, what they're proving is that the
the is that the Big ten actually is what people
used to accuse the SEC of. And they're a top
heavy team conference period. Now are they one of the
top evy teams? I'm obviously Now Indiana now ooh you're
still so well? Okay, now what do they have? What
(34:23):
do they have? Well, we've be Oregon. Oregon has been
overrated for fucking I don't want to say decades, but
at least one decade. Right, what are we doing? But Kyle,
how many good teams are there? You keep every team?
Speaker 7 (34:34):
He keeps saying it's orated, like, okay, we can say
how many teams like it? Didn't say it's actually good.
Then it's a great point you're bringing up. And everybody
wants to sit on the SEC, don't they? Or people
want to underappreciate the Big twelve. Why aren't we talking
more about Texas Tech?
Speaker 2 (34:49):
Oh? That a good point there, all?
Speaker 5 (34:51):
Right?
Speaker 4 (34:52):
Of course, this game we see every almost every fricking
year u SD Championship, Georgia Alabama.
Speaker 2 (34:57):
Who wins this one? I got Georgia. I think Georgia
wins and knocks Bamba out of the playoff. M.
Speaker 4 (35:05):
I'm picking Georgia here in this one. But when it
shot me bam on this game, Nope, nope, of course not.
So it loses out right, no matter what. No, well,
that's really hard. But that must have bet they lose.
That's correct.
Speaker 2 (35:20):
I agree with that. And and and the reason for
that isn't what you think. The reason for that is Texas.
How do you put in a team ahead of Texas
that beat undefeated Texas Texas Tech or Texas A and M.
You can't fucking do it. You can't.
Speaker 4 (35:36):
And they have the quality losses to also on top
of that two Uh the Loston Ohio State won by
five points.
Speaker 2 (35:41):
Tell them so, yeah, I must. I don't want to
see him in there. But you know that's what it is.
Uh big twelve title, Uh Texas Tech VYU Texas Tech.
And it's not close, guys. I think oil money slow
with they got what they paid for. I'm not mad
at it. I I I just I wow it's some
(36:01):
The numbers are staggering. Four million dollars on the defensive line.
And I personally spoke to a young man and Lee
Hunter when he back when he played for UCF with
Black and Gold Bannet, who took one point nine million
dollars to go to Texas Tech. I'm and I'm glad
(36:24):
he did made the right decision. And I have sources
high in the university that said that this is me
flexing my Black and Gold Banneret musse a little bit
high in the university UCF that said that Lee Hunter
went back to them and said, hey, for a million,
I'd stay. When you're getting enough money. Here's the point,
when you're getting enough money to your institution is saying,
for the love of fuck, go get your money and
(36:47):
take care of yourself. That's a lot you're giving up. Hey,
it says something about the class of the university. B
it's the filthy, stupid money. This guy's getting to go
play at Texas Tech and get oil and allegedly, according
to some alleged reports that aren't necessarily true, cartel money.
I'm not saying it's true. You go do it, all right,
(37:11):
it's in the NFL. Now man, all right, before we
get to the coaching agrees with you, buddy, before we
get to the coaching meter in.
Speaker 4 (37:21):
In the NFL and playoff locks, I have to ask
you this question, uh, Kyle, because you know you have
been a top three team in the NBA. Oh sorry,
shut the fuck up, you have been. I don't want
to use the word hater, but you do that line
when it comes to Drake May. You've been one of
the biggest Drape May critics I have heard in the
(37:44):
last two years.
Speaker 2 (37:45):
So he's in there successful. Okay, I get all that.
Speaker 4 (37:48):
I get all that, but you have to put the
work in and Drape May this year has been doing
so and the numbers are bearing out. Also on top
of that, he's the best deep well thrower right now
in the league currently is art.
Speaker 2 (38:00):
I'll keep itself for you, Kyle. Are you finally starting
to buy in the Drake May? Am I saying MP?
Speaker 4 (38:06):
And I I'm saying, are you col Nass starting to
finally buy even a little bit stocking Drake May?
Speaker 2 (38:13):
See, I do have a white It's not a ten
gallon hat, but it's gonna have to do. Hell do
they know to the no no, no, okay, So okay,
So Kyle, since you're still having that stubborn, stubborn ass
fucking colin accurate, But go ahead in the game. What
will it take for you to buy in the drink
off game? Prove me wrong. Play somebody who isn't struggling,
(38:39):
who doesn't have adequate teammates around him. And that was
the main reason Josh Allen is an m v P.
Last year, right, m beat Somethingboddy, No, I agree. The
one thing because I'm one of the things. One of
the we did podcast on My My My Day Job
one top of state was which streaks more impressive? The
(39:01):
Broncos or the Patriot streak? And I said the Broncos because.
Speaker 4 (39:06):
Because the Broncos have you know, I they still play
close to the vest. The Broncos have played tougher teams
and it's not close.
Speaker 2 (39:13):
It's not even close. They beat both super both teams
last year, correct, And I mean, so have they played
the Chargers in the second time yet? I don't. No, no,
not yet. And it lost that true? Yeah, yeah, they lost,
they lost and still won that game. The Coles won
that screw a full strength Chargers team, I might remind correct,
that that's correct.
Speaker 4 (39:33):
So the Broncos have had been a more impressive uh
schedule in my opinion, But you know, you play with
you play, I get that makes been very impressive, but
I'm with you. I got to see a playoff one
or two.
Speaker 2 (39:44):
I think this says less about Drake May. Everybody wants
to make it about people are just used to cheering
for the Patriots to be honest, honest, Okay, that's the issue,
but it's it. I think the pay they the Patriots
and Drake May and all of that says less about
Drake May and the Patriots and more about the ineptitude
(40:06):
of the Tennessee Titans general managing.
Speaker 4 (40:11):
Listen, I've what I we've sat here on this podcast.
I think the day Mike Robo got fired and said
they're gonna regret this shit, I'm how y'all looking, how
y'all idiot's looking?
Speaker 2 (40:25):
Now? How do you like me? Now? Now that I'm
home anyway, and.
Speaker 4 (40:30):
I got this and right now ask you stay on
this podcast on the summer third, the Pats right now
have the best record football right now, but Mike Rabells.
Speaker 2 (40:38):
Coach, which, by the way, another thing that that this
Patriots team does is completely disprove your guy. Allegedly, Bill
Parter sells your record. You are what your record says,
you are bullshit. I think it's turn let me turn
something on your head real quick. I'm going to be
the host real quick. And this is a revation I
had while I was recording Wednesday Nights uh du Ball
(41:01):
Dive with Traves d Holmes. Make sure you check it
out on the d Baal Dive YouTube channel or on
the Believe podcast network. By the way, you look at
the top four teams right now in the A F
c Ernest Christian right, the Patriots, the Broncos, Jags, and
(41:22):
the it's still the fucking Ravens somehow, yeah, weird? Which
one of them is a Super Bowl contender? So reputation,
the answer is fucking none. So I have so long,
So no, it's I have I have a three for
about that. Jesus Christ. I'm about to expose you. Here's
(41:45):
my theory. You might you actually might greeve me on this.
Actually follow me along here, all right, Janet, do what
you gotta do. There's two things, will look, there's two
This is twofolder bro. By the way, when I called you, Janet,
do you see I killed two burns with one stone
right there, the fun shot at you that that Scrubs
episode still hasn't happened, and I referred to you being
exposed go ahead, which, by the way, we gotta get
(42:07):
to that soon because the new show's coming in Februry.
That makes me sad. I don't know. We'll see. We'll
probably talk about it soon.
Speaker 4 (42:16):
If there's a world in five weeks, in a world
that five weeks in five weeks, that the Ravens and
the Chiefs do miss the playoffs, this will be the
most wide open AFC we have seen in generations. Sure,
but that doesn't no, no, no, Therefore, all seven teams
(42:37):
alive stop it by default, including your Jaguars.
Speaker 2 (42:40):
No, no, no, First of all, they're not my Jaguars.
I just cover them for the dow Ball things. A
different thing from the record. Again, you totally set me
the funk up. You're welcome, motherfucker. Can I say, hey,
it's your day to say, you know, well, I don't
remember that you don't get that theory. No, here's why
your theory is dumb. Okay, myself dumb. Here's why your
(43:05):
theory is done. If that happens, You've guaranteed an NFC victory.
That's all you've done here. Oh, I never get that
regardlessy sweet dream sun Hold Kyle, I don't think we're
getting that regardless who's in the Superowl the MC side.
Oh shit, you're calling your sign. I don't think that's
a conversation. I think that's what we'll get that in regardless. Well,
(43:26):
and and in your defense, I imply that by stating
the current state of the fucking uh tears right the scene.
So yeah, uh, it's wide open.
Speaker 4 (43:40):
If if the Chiefs and Ravens are buried in January,
they're not in the playoffs, then yes, AOC is wide
open the first time, and in generations all seventeens in
the playoffs will be live.
Speaker 2 (43:51):
There's no clare cut winner.
Speaker 4 (43:52):
I don't care how good home, I don't care how
I don't care about the records of the Bronicles the page.
Speaker 2 (43:56):
At that point, I don't give a damn. And it's
fascinating when you put it that way, right, because the
goal is survive in advanced until you get to the tournament,
and then in the tournament you're supposed to survive in advance, right,
I and listen, what you're saying at its source sounds intelligent.
Like again, the only thing that's dumb is no, none
(44:17):
of them are super Bowl contenders, because all you're doing
is putting the plate in for the NFC.
Speaker 4 (44:22):
Like my point, I think my lad point, O, Kyle,
is that let's assume my Snart plays out no Baltimore,
no Kansas City in the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (44:32):
Right, all seventeens are contented by default. I can see
a seventeens go to the super Bowl because I was
saying point and you're saying, contender is just having made
the Super Bowl, I don't know, get a title game. Okay, fine,
but I think my caveat to that is that I
(44:55):
need to take you seriously as a as somebody who
could beat the other representative right head right, the Colts
when Peyton Manning won his first Super Bowl finally with
Josepha Die as the running back, all that other bullshit.
Bob Sanders, Bob fucking Sanders who didn't play in that
Super Bowl because he was hurt, if I remember correctly,
he didn't play in a lot of that playoff run.
(45:20):
And that's not disrespect to Bob Sanders. Let me be
cloth that NFC was so ass that year. It didn't matter. Chicago.
That was young Jude, that was still like first year
Drew Brees Walls Grossman. Buddy was the quarterback. Devin Hester
was the only thing worth watching, and he got the
(45:42):
first score of the fucking game, right, and everybody, oh, well,
it's the first time too African American coaches faced each
other in the Super Bowl. Not that we should be
that worried about at that time is a big deal obviously,
And it didn't matter. Yeah, you know, I mean it
didn't matter. On the school board, I should say it
(46:02):
was social. I remember saying.
Speaker 4 (46:03):
I remember saying the tweeks before that that the Ages
Tyle game to the Patriots, and we lost Kyle for second,
lost Kyle lost Kyle there.
Speaker 2 (46:10):
Let me see you get Cayle back in a second,
one a second. We got Cayle back here, We got
Coli back in the house.
Speaker 4 (46:16):
No, I remember saying two before that, that game, that
Super Bowl forty one, that the Ages Tyll game to
the New England Patriots, and in the Colts were that.
Speaker 2 (46:23):
Was your super Bowl over there, by the way, Nobody
talks about how many games Thomas Edward Patrick baber Brady
has lost when it's the conference championship. Nobody wants to
talk about that. Yeah, fascinating.
Speaker 4 (46:34):
Yeah, and he's he's actually three, and he's actually two
and three Kainst Peton Manning in the playoffs all time, fascinating.
Speaker 2 (46:41):
That's the same. You know, you know, I think it's
still a goat though, but you know you don't. You don't,
and you have every right to be wrong, especially with
evidence against yourself. Okay, what whatever, bro whatever, get your
luggest son of the bantage tools. But I do I
do agree with you on one thing that I do
agree with you that I do agree that the AFC
(47:02):
is massively weak, massively week I will take the top
four to five, even more five sixteens NFC over the
AFC teams. And here's what's weird to me is it's
hard to figure out kind of why, right, I know,
all the best quarterbacks allegedly are in the AFC. Right,
you know, Patric Leavon Mahomes, the second, Josh Allen, Lamar,
(47:25):
Demitrius Jackson, Joey Burr, though technically he missed significant times,
so I'm not counting that per se. Of course, you
kind of have to because the mother is always missing time.
No disrespect to Joey Burr. You know I've talked to him.
I I I enjoyed him before it was cool. All
of that shouts to I think that was the Blue
(47:49):
h Q sports media pass with whom I covered the
Fiesta Bowl. That was before the Black and Gold bander
and obviously punch sign's this. I don't think it's necessarily
quarterback play. I think teams that have done better on
(48:10):
either line, defensive, offensive, or otherwise are what you're seeing
rise to the top. Vrabel comes in with the Patriots.
They play more smash mouth football, they get better. The
Broncos have a defense like we've not seen in a
long time, and so long as Bo doesn't nix his
team's chance of winning, they keep going. They're doing what
(48:30):
they're doing. The Jags have significantly improved their offensive line.
The only one that's questionable among the division leaders is
the division that's fallen apart literally everywhere. Right. The Browns
are ass again. The Bengals had their quarterback issues, Lamar
Dimitriz Jackson miss time, ass did a lot of offensive
(48:51):
linemen right, and the defensive headed struggles. It's a whole
goddamn mess, and the Steelers are winning by default because
they have Arguably I'm going to say that Mike Tomlin
is the best coach in the division, but it's a
lightsaber duel regularly between he and Harbaugh. I can't believe
we live in a world right now that the AFC
(49:14):
North this year is probably the probably the second worst
division football. I can do better? Are you ready the
worst of that? Nope? Follow me? Okay, the AFC South
has a very real chance of having three representatives. Oh yeah,
what a question? That shit boire your fucking mind, DJ,
(49:37):
it doesn't my mind. And that's after the Houston start
zero to three, correct, and listen, I know some of
it is off of crazy shit, right, Davis Mills putting
up twenty offensive points against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Granted it
was no, it was it wasn't it ever bank, No,
it was in Houston, was on the road. You're correct
(50:00):
to come back, right, boy? What an talk about on
the du ball dive And I had to do that
from the keys. I was just about to cover the magic.
It's the whole thing, right, yeah, do bal YouTube channel?
Uh no, man, that's I man, Listen, here's what's funny.
(50:23):
As much as as I've heard you me hudd love boys,
whoever talk about how drunk college football is, funk off
the entire liquor cab that was consumed by the NFL
this season.
Speaker 4 (50:37):
Okay, in fact, no that's not that's not the case
right now, but we have right now, if the players started,
we can do playff locks right now for one two
SUREFC right now, so right now here, this is the
first right now. If the playoff starts today, here's your seating.
Number one seed is the Patriots of the buy your
(50:57):
two seeds, the Broncos, your three teat the jack Ours,
your four seasons Ravens, your fifth Seedson Chargers sixty, the Colts,
and seven seed the Bills on the bubble, a game
behind the Texans. Then you have the Steelers who are
technically two games behind the wildcard, the Chiefs also games
behind the wildcard at ten. The Dolphins, of course whatever,
(51:21):
uh like three game highs so whatever. So the Bengals
are still in it, but by virgin that they went
to the division to get in. On my opinion, the
two back in the division though, that's their pathing in
the playoffs. They're two back in the division with what
four five, five ago, five to go, But they play
all these teams and at the.
Speaker 2 (51:40):
End of the year, that's true, it is a cluster.
To your point, I would I would need to reserve
my opinion there. That's they ready beat Baltimore this year
and this year so they have the opportunity to secure
the sweep. That's possible. I agree with on both teams
in fact, correct correct, so correct correct, So this scenario
one hole here fuck And I think next week will
(52:08):
be clear, specifically in the South, if the Jags beat
the Colts. Yeah, A take that was once referred to
all the way back, and I think it was July
or August as being the crack headiest take I could
come up with was the Jags winning the South and
making the playoffs. And it might come to pass because
if they beat the Colts, all they need is one
(52:29):
more win to have ten and have a pretty week
schedule remaining. Right, Yeah, you know, obviously they they if
they beat the Colts both times, they sweep and get
the advantage. Duh. Another Titans game on the schedule puts
them in a position to uh secure four division wins.
(52:55):
Which is huge, huge, huge, and the AFC South and
it's question just very huge, absolutely something that gives them
an advantage like no other team in division really has
a shot at that in my opinion, except for the Texans, ironically,
who have four, which is weird. I mean, props of
(53:19):
the Texans for getting back, you know, on the horse,
and and and and making something of their season. Now
you have to beat the Chargers, the Colts again and
the Chiefs. Good luck. By the way, the Chiefs game
is in prime time, that's on Sunday. Correct, That's that's
(53:39):
a rough that's a rough ask. But that would be
if the If they win that game, the Chiefs are
burned for good. I think the Chiefs are pretty damn buried.
Now probably they went that went.
Speaker 4 (53:50):
Out here, But here's here's my take on the Chiefs
still and I'm on the Chiefs home run on every platform.
Speaker 2 (53:56):
Correct. I will not believe the Chiefs are dead for
this year until they actually dead. I'm not mad at
you for thinking it, but sir, you're you're you're a
father of two, two very cool boys, by the way,
so I don't have two boys. Shut the fuck up, boy,
(54:18):
and right, But as one who has a daughter. This
would be better advice for me, but I'm going to
instill it to you because every time this comes up
about the Chiefs and their chances, I need you to
watch a clip from the movie Frozen. Oh no, I
(54:38):
hate that movie. You need to let it go. Okay,
that's what I'm telling you.
Speaker 4 (54:43):
I know I'm not saying it's it's sensible.
Speaker 2 (54:48):
I'm admitting this. It's nonsensical. Okay, I just don't.
Speaker 4 (54:51):
I'm just not gonna sit here and say Pat Mahomes
and company and you're done, and all sentences us from
my back. The most fuckers win five in a row,
and all a sudden, we start with January eleven and six,
make a wild card, and all of a sudden, here come.
Speaker 2 (55:07):
The fucking cheeze one more time. Listen, just just because
you've been posing as a Giants fan ever since they
did that kind of thing back when they won their
first Super Bowl recently. Yeah, I know you stole that,
so yeah, you stole it from the garage, the best,
(55:29):
the best garage CFP. Gon'd be rude, No, man, listen,
I I other years I would be fine with it.
Patrick Levaughn Mahomes, the second has had miracle moments and
it still wasn't enough. People have figured out what I've
(55:52):
warmed people about with this Chiefs team. You attack that
offensive line from the outside, and then when they over
they over commit, you beat them inside. Creed Humphrey can
only do so much. The only saving grace right now
for the Chiefs. But the remain schedule is that, by
the way, the Chiefs defense has gotten a little worse.
(56:14):
That's the other problem. And then they started get a
little bit worse. Their hardest games of the year Texans
this week, Charges a week after, and the the Broncos
week seventeen all home games. That's the always saving grace.
Another two games they play on the road. Well, and
you list the Chargers. Their online situation is so boned, right,
(56:34):
I think the Chiefs will win that game, right, So.
Speaker 4 (56:36):
What I'm saying, and then your other two games in
that stretch on the road or two of the worst
teams of football the Titans and Raiders.
Speaker 2 (56:45):
So again I'm not saying they're going to win. Went out,
but what a surprise you go in January were starting
eleven six Teacher, No, Lesson Lessen, I'm gonna take my
advice I'm gonna let it go, all right, But when
they if they beat the Broncos and I'm back to
(57:06):
worrying about them again, you can do your best, Owl
Powell from Sergeant Powell from die Hard, Welcome to the
party pole. Then then then you you would, you would
have authority to welcome me back into the building. Then
let it go. I get it. NFL dot Com says eliminated,
(57:31):
ex eliminated from contention. Then I'll believe it. So I'm
gonna say about that, all right. Well, the Pats right over,
I don't hear you. I said, good for you, Fenn Sitter. No,
I'm I'm rather Chiefs until they die. That's it. No,
that's I'm saying, let it go. I can't do it
(57:54):
anything more done. Why can't Doc quit? You path through?
Can't do it, can't do it, won't do it. Patrick,
completely are the past the one seed at the end
of the year. I say, yes, a one seed.
Speaker 4 (58:14):
They got a bye week right now. They come out
of the bye play Buffalo and then Baltimore. I think
dever a couple of times before I never was a
game or two be four seeds over.
Speaker 2 (58:24):
I so a few things for one it's not that
those two games are the issue. It's what the bigger
issue is. It's the Jets and the Dolphins are gonna
get handed those I get that. To your point. If
they go one and one in those games, they're gonna
(58:47):
get pts. Okay, And to boot Bronco schedule, they played
Raiders this week right after that. It's a fucking rough schedule,
just the way Packers at home, Jaguars at home, Chiefs
in the road, and then Charges at home. I get it.
(59:09):
And by the way, don't don't say anything silly like
the Jags are gonna pass them because I I just okay,
And I had to do this on the dou of
all dive. I know I've said the Colts have played
teams throughout the year that have been awful. It's not
Patriots bad, but it's pretty bad. They're gonna split with
(59:31):
the Colts. I'm convinced of that. Right. The other piece
with the Jags is that Broncos game would be huge.
The Jags have a horrible record against strong defensive lines,
which then is clearly bleeping have right the Titans. Okay,
that's okay, right, there would be the Tights. So for me,
(59:56):
we'll come back to the Jags conversation if they beat
the Broncos. To your point, I I I certainly agree
that of the top three AFC seats, they have the
path of least resistance, perhaps the paths right, Yeah, New
Jags do. Jags do? So you agreed one to the Patriots.
You think you will not lock the Roncos to two
seats yet, I'm not locking any of the top three yet. Patriots?
(01:00:21):
They do they I mean the Patriots, and if they
are the frauds I think they are, they could blow
both those games. So no, will you? Will you lock
the Ravens at least as the AOFC North winner? Nice? Little? Okay?
You think that Steelers will win that award with Joey burnback?
Are you shinning me just as nice? Still still live
in your opinion? Yes? Okay, there's a current currently a
(01:00:44):
six and six division leader. Yeah, and someone's tied with
them at six and six? Right? Will you lock up
the Charges as a wall card somewhere? Yes? Or no? Absolutely?
Because they enough games and they're going to They're going
to do that. I feel confident in the Colts as well, Okay.
And the Bills, boy, they're weird, aren't They ought they
(01:01:06):
got Josh Allen though, Yeah, they do, and I think
that's the reason alone. I'll lock them. And their schedule
is so their schedule is. The schedule is the Bengals
this weekend. Okay, the Patriots on the road.
Speaker 4 (01:01:22):
The Browns on the road just could get weird because
that Browns defense is fucking really good.
Speaker 2 (01:01:27):
Uh, Philly at home and then in Jackson only eighteen Okay,
so Philly is on a tailspin until they show me
otherwise they're twenty twenty three all over again. Right, look
at that in a second on the NCS. You're waking
way too much of your Browns again, stop it, no, no,
no bubbles in that game. But I don't think I'll
see stop it. Wow, okay, alsost stop it, Yes, daddy,
(01:01:54):
they should get three more out of schedule, and doing so,
the Pads are compromised. That's what I'm getting at right.
Speaker 4 (01:02:05):
The only thing is that the Pats still the let's
just say, let's just say the path is gonna lose
three games on the rong.
Speaker 2 (01:02:09):
Remember the Pats are three games up right now, Buffalo,
that is true, and with the highbrid at the head
to also, yeah, no, they don't have the tie break.
They're playing each other so far. Well that one more
game left tie break is horseshit. It doesn't matter yet
stop it. They're gonna make up three games. I don't know.
(01:02:29):
I don't. I don't. I don't think I make it up.
We'll see, Yeah, listen, yeah, boy Drake may may expose
himself and lose to the Jets for all right now,
No he won't.
Speaker 4 (01:02:38):
But still, as I'll say, I'm locking New England's one
on the one seed unlike you, okay, two, three and four.
Speaker 2 (01:02:47):
While I believe they're willing to playoffs, though I don't,
I will not lock up. Yeah, I'm gonna lock obviously.
I think we're both gonna lock the pads a FC East.
I think I am prepared to lock up the bills
for a wild card spot. I'm I'm actually more confident
the wildcars teams I am. I am the division winners,
of course that I'm actually I'm actually willing lock onto
(01:03:07):
Baltimore Ragnans, even though, even though it's weird, I feel
better about Baltimore closing ship up than what's going to
make since Fort of Forstall, since since we won't even
win this weekend, so that close the door for me. Okay, well, yeah,
I gotta I gotta wait for the come of that game,
which I've kind of leaned that way with what I
just said, but I'll see it first. Go right, Steals
(01:03:28):
a free falling. The Ragons are not free falling. Let's
have issues. The Steels are free falling because the quarterback injury.
Let's just call it, well, well not and everything else
and and on top of that quarterback issues.
Speaker 4 (01:03:40):
Now, I do think, I do think Lamar is hurt
though still so if that can turn continues, maybe have
a different story. But I'm not I lock Baltimore four seed.
I lock New England as the as the the number
one seed. Denver and Jacksonville playoff teams, yes, division winners,
not yet uh Chargers. We will be a walcard of
what I am not looking at culture yet. I'm not
(01:04:03):
sorry Dnny times in his injury can change things here
and in Buffalo. I'll lock them up as a walk
card as well, because I still think I see a
world to the party, because I still see a world
where Houston gets in and very much.
Speaker 2 (01:04:18):
Exists, and it depends on the outcome of Sunday's game,
and it won't be c. J. Stroud that decides it, obviously,
it will be that Texans defense.
Speaker 4 (01:04:27):
And I still see a world where a casey can
get in because it most to them. If I may,
they both can't. What you're practically saying is you see
a world. Let me say it intelligently for you say
you don't sell them so dumb on your own show?
Speaker 6 (01:04:43):
What in a world where the Texans and the Chiefs
play each other in a primetime game on Sunday the
outcome of that game predicts a wild card team?
Speaker 2 (01:04:55):
Right boom, there you go. If you are welcome here,
you buddy, Thank you, buddy, appreciate that. All right, mc
NFC should conference the better conference?
Speaker 4 (01:05:08):
Yes, number one seed right now the Bears nine three
two two seed, the Rams nine.
Speaker 2 (01:05:14):
Three your eventual one seed, in my opinion.
Speaker 4 (01:05:16):
Agreed A three your three seed eight and four Eagles,
your four seed seven five seven five Buccaneers, your five
seed nine three Seahawks.
Speaker 2 (01:05:27):
There should be. Third seed is your nine and three seeds?
Speaker 4 (01:05:29):
Agree, body, they are scary. Your sixth seed the eight
three one packers, and your seven Your seventh seed is
the nine and four nine ers. Bro so impressive, dude,
Kyle Shanahan culture year, in my opinion.
Speaker 2 (01:05:42):
The only reason I'm not pound no verybel does not.
I Okay, let me rephrase. Vrabels should be a factor.
He should not win, said Shanahan. So you look at it,
you did, say Shanahan. The Liam Cohen is a better
candidate than Praybell. Stop it. I don't know, man, fucking
(01:06:08):
stop it. Don't you A four win team last year?
A four win team last year? You can look on
your phone all you want. No, I know that, dive.
I know last year. Patries last year they were fours
(01:06:31):
also not worse. Yeah, but the Jags did it and
what was at the time the worst division in football.
The Pats will also for the team last year. Right,
But what I told you is the Jags last year
were in the worst division in football. Okay, what sticks here?
(01:06:52):
No ship? Uh? I forgot the game? Sorry, No, I'm sorry.
Quit before further The bubble Lion seven and five two back?
The walk gard weird, isn't it? Cowboys six or five
and one? Uh?
Speaker 4 (01:07:07):
The Panthers seven and six, that's weird. You can steal
the South careful, Yeah, that's it.
Speaker 2 (01:07:14):
So what's the show. You know what? You know? Who?
I who? I didn't hear you mentioned who? The fraud cons?
Oh yeah, the fucking number eleven at four and eight?
Should that was coming to? Shouts to Danny Thompson. So technically, no, no,
that's two four back Broyeah. They camic go three games?
Can stop it? Stop? Shut up. I'm joking. I'm trying
(01:07:38):
to mock Danny Thompson, and you're sucking up the rotation.
Damn it continue anyway, Shouts to Danny Thompson. Yes, you're
not looking on beers on one, aren't you? No, I
just i'd lead with funk. No, are you kidding me exactly?
I'm gonna. I'm gonna. I'm gonna say something that people
aren't getting angry about. Not you. What else is new?
(01:08:02):
Not you? You're a Cowboys fan. I can't lock the
Eagles right now? For what the division? Correct? Why do
you say that the cow Dak Prescott. We keep hearing
whispers about him as MVP. This dude is having a
year that we haven't seen in a fucking while. If somehow,
(01:08:25):
I don't think they will. If somehow the Cowboys beat
the Lions that in the in the Pontiac Region there, right,
I think they will. For the record, Wow, Okay, if
that's so, of course you do Homer, but Homer, Homer, Homer.
(01:08:45):
If they win that game, our good friend Big Jimnys
of the Huddle Up Podcast will be screaming, don't do that,
don't give me hope. Okay, and rightly suck it up.
Well wait, he's a Lions fan. What am I talking about? Anyways? Boy,
(01:09:06):
what an awkward Sunday night for Jim a Lions fan
playing against the Cowboys. Anyways, No, I the NFC is tough.
Here's what I'm gonna say here, here's the locks. I'm
gonna start. Stop pussy footing around here. I think the
Bucks make it maker Bayfield will do enough, would soon
(01:09:27):
Right this week, I'm going to lock the five seed.
This is this is risky. I'm going to lock the
five seed, five seed. I could be a bitch and
be like we lock the five seed with the NFC West.
Stop it. I'm gonna lock the Seahawks at five if
they get the top seed. I'm going to lock the
(01:09:49):
Bears winning the division because I don't love Jordan and
the Packers. I just I can't. I just can't trust
them for some reason. Money money, money. They played this weekend.
Well this week prove me wrong, Bears. Okay, how about
that shit? I too, call me a homer all you like.
(01:10:12):
I also have the forty nine Ers locking a playoff spot.
No I don't. I lied. I misread. I thought they
played a different team in Week fifteen than they do.
So that's my bad. Yeah, the Niners got a rough
the Niners. The Niners might miss because they have the Colts,
Bears and Seahawks. That's a tough trio to finish out
(01:10:34):
the season with and that we in those weeks. Uh,
Liam Cohen will pass Kyle Shanahan for Coach of the Year.
I'm joking. Yeah, these idiots are about to give it
to Dreibil, aren't they. Anyways, got in the line boy
(01:10:54):
that that died. I can't give you anything more than
LA winning the West, and that's risky. The Seahawks at
seed five, and that's risky because Seahawks, right, And uh,
I'm gonna lock the Bucks winning the South because I'm
not a fence that are like you. As we I'll say,
(01:11:15):
as we'll say.
Speaker 4 (01:11:17):
The seven teams you see here in the playoffs right now,
currently will make it all. Seventeens will make it. Wow,
are going to be different?
Speaker 2 (01:11:25):
You're cowboys? Wow? Okay, this what's going to make up? Bro?
I think Philadelphia will put all together.
Speaker 6 (01:11:32):
Just half a fucking game.
Speaker 4 (01:11:34):
No, they're they're they're up two games still maybe four
eight and four and six seven and one.
Speaker 2 (01:11:42):
Right, that's that's that's half game, right, it's a game, man,
a half that's all the time. Makes all fucked up? Bro,
I don't think. I just don't know. The Dallas gonna
make up that make up that up. I think Philly
will win three more games to put it away? Do
you think Philly will win three of the You think
they'll beat the Charge the Chargers Herbert may not play,
(01:12:03):
I agree, Yeah, Okay, now you're convincing me because they
have two Commanders games against an injured squad. I think
they should. Right, they've lost a lot of games they
should have won though that's the other thing anyway, Really
I shouldn't say a lot, that's too much, but they
have lost games they should have won. Well, they're champs,
so they should lose any games. Well, not many games,
(01:12:25):
but yeah, it's ridiculous. But like Losing to the Giants
is a thing. Losing to their division games, that's fascinating.
Their division games have been a problem. I just think
Detroit fucked. I think Detroit fucked.
Speaker 4 (01:12:38):
I think Detroit fucked because they're not gonna catch make
a ground on Green Bay or or or a Chicago
to make up to getting played for the Walker.
Speaker 2 (01:12:48):
You don't think they can surpass the Niners. No interesting,
Dan Camp calm plays now? No? Sorry, well, and then
let's not forget they do play the Rams and Bears
both on the way out. Yeah, that's a thing.
Speaker 4 (01:13:05):
No, they should the Giants two on talk about coleek ago.
They should be seen a six six right now?
Speaker 2 (01:13:11):
Five. Well, I listen, I'm glad you bring that up.
You shouldn't do that in front of Giants fans. I'm
just saying that.
Speaker 4 (01:13:16):
Calm down, I'm just saying I'm just saying that those
signs of them being much worse than they were or
came a lot earlier, people realize.
Speaker 2 (01:13:24):
Well, I don't think that's where. I think a more
difficult schedule is a factor here. And also, yes, San France,
and I know that sand Frian bye week this week.
Speaker 4 (01:13:35):
Two Also perfect timing perfect time this week or bye
week before they go to this rest run.
Speaker 2 (01:13:41):
Perfect timing. I mean it balances I guess the fact
that their schedule is awful to finish. But I digress. Yeah,
now listen, Normally you do this too soon anyway, because
you start doing the shit at week eight. Some years,
you're doing this at about the right time. And I'm
still just as damn confused. Well, the Niners, this is
(01:14:01):
the Niners. Though you last four your last programs, the
Niners have Titans win Colts on the road with a hamper,
fucking Daniel Jones. That's a win, okay, but you need
to slow the funk up on that. What has a
broken fibble up? Bro? What defense do the Niners have
that can stop m v P Jonathan Taylor? Stack the
(01:14:23):
fucking deck, bro, stack the line with what? And that's
all they're gonna have is a running game. There's discrewed. Okay,
the Beers, I think it's fake.
Speaker 4 (01:14:34):
Hustle the Beers, and then the Seahawks game might be
a throwaway because even though they might that might be
for seeding and whatever.
Speaker 2 (01:14:42):
I think by by week eight seventeen, w the plus anyway, Wow,
who gets a ship? Your your niners confidence is scary there.
My point is Dallas's only wag in the playoffs is
win the East. That's it. Box. I still think that
very much on the table.
Speaker 4 (01:15:02):
If Philly loses this week in San Diego, yes, I
said San Diego bitches.
Speaker 2 (01:15:07):
Okay. If phil los in San Diego, exactly, damn meat,
we have a conversation that's pinned that to next week.
If they lose in San.
Speaker 4 (01:15:15):
Diego Money Night Football, we have a conversation happening about that,
combined with Dallas winning tomorrow night against uh So, what.
Speaker 2 (01:15:22):
I hear you saying is you can't lock it. I
can't lock I Okay, let's put I'm confident. I'm still
confident that Philly will fall together. But there's a difference.
I will unlock it next week. If they lose on Monday,
I think, unlock your cheating, son of a bitch. It's
(01:15:43):
called a key, bitch, it's called key. It's called a key.
It's key. This is you have to prove admit you
were wrong first. That's the key. I just think I
think I think fully will all together now. Obviously, if
they lose on on Monday, we have the conversations coming
up here. So that's that. So those are my teams. Okay,
before get out of here, I want to do coach
a pen Meter had a chance to do this in
(01:16:05):
about two months. Go forward. I put together seven coaches
here that are supposedly on a hot seat.
Speaker 4 (01:16:12):
A warm seat does something from right now. James Franklin's gone,
that's hired already, bro, he got fired, and higher than
the luing fucking two weeks I forgot. Frank got hired.
You're right, one to ten ten of course, pen Meter
highest one. You know, whatever, I gotta do it. Mike
Tomlin and Pittsburgh stop it.
Speaker 2 (01:16:35):
Negative fifty two you think so? Really absolutely, I gotta
be honest with you. I do see a world in
a world where Pittsburgh fans are dumb as fuck and
the front office finally gives in the many fucking years
it's been. But I do think I'm it's gonna happen.
Speaker 4 (01:16:53):
I don't step intel there, even though I am employed
by the Runes and all that on my day.
Speaker 2 (01:16:57):
Job, allegedly, I do see world where there's consideration about
gunnings entire damn thing from from from the ground up. No, no, no,
because the only the only way that happens is if
they move gms because they're not satisfied with what they've
done with the quarterback situation that we've warned them about
years back, that we keep bringing up with the way
(01:17:18):
they handled Roethlisberger. I get it. Therefore, I'm putting at five.
It's in the middle. I'm not there. Sorry, fifty to
fifty negative eighty seven. I said what I said, six
seven those jogging fucker. By the way, you want to
know what number was on my luggage tags getting off
the ship? Sixty seven, you idiot. It wasn't me. It
(01:17:40):
was my son.
Speaker 4 (01:17:41):
By the way, Eli, my oldest son, Eli canceled me
today because on the show this morning, on the podcast
My Job, we used the six seven jogging and he
found out. He's like, Dad, I'm doumb with you. He's like,
you're not cool.
Speaker 2 (01:17:55):
Stop saying that. Which, by the way, when my son
started getting restless in the line, Hey Corbyn, what's our
luggage tech again? Oh my god, Corbyn? Really he was cute. Yeah,
shut up, he's cute, all right. Zach Taylor in Cincinnati. Oh,
higher than one would think. But I don't damn, I'm
(01:18:19):
going to say five and the reason he stays on
is I think he and Joey Burr have a good relationship. He,
in my opinion, isn't the problem now when they annow
it's hiring a new GM, it'll be fifty seven, you know, obviously,
But until that GM gets replaced, I think Zach Taylor's
all right, I'm gonna go three and a half. I
(01:18:42):
don't think okay.
Speaker 4 (01:18:43):
I think once again, when Burrow gets hurt, there's always
that built excuse, but at some point, at some point,
you can't lie on that anymore. So I agree three,
I think will be the same argument will impact another coach.
I'm sure you're about to bring up. Yeah, he will
come in next year, but I think there'll be a
very warm seat, though not hot, but very warm. Keep
(01:19:04):
an eye on that one next year. So all right
minded Dolphins coach Mike mc.
Speaker 2 (01:19:07):
Daniel, speaking of five, I think the sentiment today is
that it's not his fault. And yes, they got rid
of Chris Greer allegedly right, the new GM is going
to determine whether Mike McDaniel's around. The answer is probably no.
I'm saying five today because I don't know who that
(01:19:28):
new GM is yet the more they winning games, the
more that even to keep the job. But the thing is,
I don't think McDaniel isn't the problem. Really who's problem? Then?
I just mentioned Chris Greer and not even in and
of himself. I don't hate him like Dolphins fans even
did back in the day when I was writing under
Angeline Staley at the Dolphins wire back in I think,
(01:19:52):
what was it, seventeen eighteen right right the like, you know,
I'm joking, I know, come on now. The issue was
all the money tied up in to in Tyreek and
these assets, you know, the Ramsey experiment, blowing up all
these assets that they threw money at that ended up
(01:20:13):
not even not even appearing at the on the field.
Very often, right when that happens, you don't have a
good full roster, which means Mike McDaniel can call and
coach and do whatever he needs to do if you're player.
If you don't have players, you can't fucking play, period.
So you went what I said, five, I'm gonna go.
(01:20:38):
Simply said it just as likely as Zach Taylor today,
with a high chance of that increasing, I'll put it.
I'm gonna go six but it's it was once upon
a time a fucking nine and ten. So yeah, and
when people had a chance to breathe and realize that
maybe he's not the problem. I've always been there, but
I need to see the organization do more to prove
(01:21:00):
to me that they're although I will say even in
some of these wins have had recently, there was some
course Wi says he's made on the field, so he's
always going to be aggressive. I think that's and it's
Mike McDaniel makes a lot of those decisions that he's
a genius if it works, and otherwise he's a bum. Right,
But the problem is when you have dudes again that
(01:21:21):
aren't reliable, it's a whole other thing, all right, Chemistefanski
and Cleveland, Why this is hard is the narrative that
has come to pass with Shadur also Miles Garrett being unhappy.
He's another question too. I'll leave that off to the side.
(01:21:44):
This way he's handled this whole Shadeur Sanders scenario is
the only thing I think that that makes him being
fired a threat. He shouldn't be most intelligent Brown fans,
which not really. It's kind of a paradox. I joke,
shouts to the Barking Browns podcast. I that's hard. I
(01:22:12):
don't think he should be. She didn't say that for
a record. It's hard. That's hard, I hope. So otherwise,
I told you to welcome. Hey, it's your day to
say you will. I have no idea what that means.
So I'm leaving to go, but I just work here. Man, listen. Uh,
(01:22:37):
I'm gonna put him at a six because the Browns
are the Browns and will make the mistake to escapegoat him.
The correct answer is to move the fuck off of
Dylan Gabriel and uh and work from there. Shidre Is
is a project. I'm not saying he's bad. I'm one
(01:22:58):
of the people that was pro pro should do were
in the draft. Do I think he should have been
the first round pick? Not necessarily. Do I feel like
he should be fifth? Fuck? No, come on, what are
we doing? But yeah, that's that's awkward. But I'm gonna
say six. It should be a two. But because the
Browns retarded as hell, it's gonna be a seven or eight. Okay,
(01:23:21):
here you go, so there you go.
Speaker 4 (01:23:23):
That's simple. So by way I'll do fire him. Then
John tyram as a coach, so good, look at.
Speaker 2 (01:23:29):
This well, I mean, as a Cowboys fan, you want
to see shot up? Shut up? I got you good
on that one. That was good myself. This would be
a good one here, John Hobball, Baltimore negative five hundred
and seventy seven. We stop it, no, fuck you.
Speaker 8 (01:23:49):
You're we're in a year where Lamar Dimitrius Jackson gets hurt.
You're gonna try to blame him Hardball, stop it, fucking
stop it. Well has a building excuse Now that's my
point asked, Wait, come on, okay, what I'm going to
go four? Bro probably, but yeah, but this year's this
(01:24:12):
is a weird year.
Speaker 2 (01:24:13):
That they're gonna they're gonna get a pass. Yes, I
literally just said that. Maybe a three.
Speaker 4 (01:24:21):
Screw it whatever. All right, here's a good one here,
here's here's a good one though. Sean McDermott, Buffalo.
Speaker 2 (01:24:30):
Oh yeah, he's a higher one, isn't he. There's where
I'm gonna get people pissed off. Seven. I'll go higher
really nine because the pervasive thought out there is that
he's wasting. Josh Allen, I get it, and it from
both from a football and a business standpoint. It sucks,
(01:24:50):
and I'm not here to tell you that I think
mcdermot's a bad coach. Do I think GMing is part
of the problem here? You but hm hmm. Their s
bop team.
Speaker 4 (01:25:01):
And if my three players out were in the world
where the Ravens a Chiefs that went to the playoffs,
the Bills are the most at that.
Speaker 2 (01:25:09):
Point, are the most experienced team in the playoffs a
that time? What is a team for those that don't
Super Bowl or bust? Okay, now say winns to bow,
Let's get to suit Bowl. Okay, So Buffalo just getting
through his super Bowl isn't fucking enough. If if these
three teams are in the playoffs, example, the three teams
that have costumes super Bowl, super Bowl glory in the
last five years. Can't see a Chiefs, Sintandy, Bengals or
(01:25:32):
both both for Ravens or the beating Ravens the playoffs
A couple times note playoffs watch excuse this point. This
team's battered as fuck, but still it's not enough. I
agree with you, that's it. So there's no excuse this time.
So nine now, because nothing to do with the cruggle
season has to do with the expectations. I am not
(01:25:54):
saying no expectations kill coaches. Guy, it's right, fu Yeah,
I say nine or nine, or I don't say nine
to year nine. I'll leave it, and I'll leave it
that way. That is you've thrown out there. And finally,
Rahee Morris in Atlanta six tough, but I think he
(01:26:21):
stays so they have some continuity with Michael Pennox.
Speaker 4 (01:26:25):
You would hope so, because this is year two Raheem Morris,
I believe year two. Typically teams give to coaches three
years before they move on, but sometimes teams get impatient
at the two years now. I haven't heard anything about
in fighting about Morris him me in the hot seat.
I'm just throwing this out because of the of how
bad they've been this year and last year of course
(01:26:48):
was you know, another down year. I'm gonna go six
because it's a possibility should he get fired, No, but
he'll be in a hot seat next year.
Speaker 2 (01:26:56):
That's a damn sure. I don't think that's a question.
At some point the police start to track trends in
crime and realize you're fraud. Yeah. Now do I see
a world? Yeah? Definitely there Do I see a world
at Black Monday, Morris first coach fired. No, no, I don't.
I don't think that happens. No, but would be No.
(01:27:19):
My question is, would you be shocked you see his
name on a ticker? I was shocked shocked that I
see it, only that I would be shocked that he's first,
is what I should say. Okay, fair enough, that's that's
where I meet you. I see what you're saying. Yeah, right,
if the hired him, going to.
Speaker 4 (01:27:35):
Be like, oh my god, I'm a little hiring your average,
but he should he should give me down to the year,
but he will be on the hottest seats on the
in the league next year.
Speaker 2 (01:27:42):
I'm down. I get it anyway, all right, Kyle Nash
were recording up till like almost midnight. Now look at that. Wow,
what are you bitch? What job buddy? No, no, you
are to look at your face? Ship fucking tan as hell. Listen.
Let me would be rude. She'll be rude. Not a
pumpkin definitely more of a tomato orange face. No, I
(01:28:05):
mean honestly, like, I'm not burned, but I did catch son.
There's there's there's this. The greekiness is certainly making its
way back out I am Golden Brown and crispy anyway, anyway,
plub brother, of course, I'm Kyle, asked Student the Game.
