Surgido en 2016, este emprendimiento ha pasado por varios cambios de nombres hasta llegar al actual y para eso han escuchado cómo los nombra la audiencia y cómo los públicos recuerdan la marca con cada pieza de vestir.
Pese a los relanzamientos, la idea es la misma: mujeres emprendedoras y empoderadas que defienden la cultura afrocubana a través de sus colores, texturas y formas y también con afroactivismo y educación para difundir este legado ancestral.
La abogada Deyni Terry Abreu, tras años de activismo racial y trabajo comunitario en comunidades marginalizadas, fundó un negocio que fue posicionándose entre los públicos.
Ese trabajo comunitario de Deyni se ha transmitido también a la marca, pues durante la pandemia de Covid-19 organizan entregas de alimentos a personas vulnerables entre otras acciones de apoyo social.
