Speaker 1 (00:16):
Heybody, Welcome to today's show. Welcome to Equality Rights for All.
I'm your host Anton with Lario Duke, and we have
a very interesting topic for today's show in which it
is the upcoming government shutdown, the deadline and then I

(00:38):
believe it's March fourteenth, so it's not that far away.
It's such a few weeks away. And so I've said
this performed play episodes. Both sides of the aisle need
to compromise, they really do, and and to avoid a

(01:02):
government shutdown because the government shut down hurts everybody. Everybody,
and neither side of the aisle, neither side you're going
to afford the government shutdown because of the fact that
next year November twenty twenty six are midterm elections. So

(01:27):
neither side can can afford a government shutdown. And here's
the thing. Even if both chambers of the United States
Hounds of Representatives and the United States Senate, if they
come to an agreement of a bill and then send
it to the President's desk, if he decides to veto it, okay,

(01:52):
Congress can overturn the president's veto. They can, okay. So
you know, with regard to the Republicans, they're saying, oh,

(02:15):
they want to just bow down to Trump, bow down
to trumpet because they're afraid of with regard to next
year when it's midterm elections, that must will spend tons
and tongue of money and you know, to go to
their adversaries, you know, and these people are afraid of

(02:38):
losing their seats. That's not true. Here's the thing. If
you do it's right for the people, If you really
do it's right for the people, the people are the
ones that vote, okay, thin because the people, your constituents,

(02:58):
can still keep you in off but they'll say, hey,
I did the right thing. It don't see that you
did the right thing, okay, And no matter what, it's
the people's votes. So when you can inform the people

(03:24):
your constituents are the good things that you did to
keep the government running and everything and so on and
so forth, the people will look at that, okay. So
a government shutdown is never good in the people's homes.

(03:44):
And so with that, take care everybody. Bye.
