Speaker 1 (00:16):
Hey, everybody, welcome to today's show. Welcome to Equality and
Rights for Role. I'm your host, Anthony Liria Duke, and
we have a very interesting and very important topic for
today's show, in which it is the riots that are
going on in LA right now. So let's get right
into this. I'm sure you've all been hearing about the

(00:39):
riots that I have been going on in LA with
the protesters fighting against ICE and so on, So let's
just get right into this. You know, there's two sides

(01:01):
to this, Okay. Now, a lot of people are saying that,
you know, Trump called in the National Guard because the
mets are really bad, and uh, this was you know too.

(01:23):
A lot of people feel that it was because you know,
Trump loves violence, and uh, Trump is very biased and
hateful towards certain communities and stuff like that, and so
he just wanted to cause more chaos. So but now

(01:46):
on the flip side of the coin, you know, these agents,
these officers and stuff, they're just doing their jobs. They're
just doing their jobs. It's not their fault, Okay, they're

(02:06):
just doing their jobs. They're just doing what they were
told to do, okay. And ICE agents, FBI police, National Guard,
all of them. They put their lives on the line
every thing, little solitary day, okay, and we must show

(02:33):
them respect. Now, as I said in prior episodes, there's
always going to be a bad, bad apple in every bunch.
You know. There's there's a lot of good agents and
officers out there, but unfortunately, unfortunately, there's also a lot

(02:54):
of bad ones out there too, I mean, and it's
the bad ones that make the good ones look bad. Okay. Now,
this is another part to this issue. Like we already
said that you know how Trump is and stuff like that,

(03:14):
and we all know that. But on the but on
the other side of the coin, it's a lot of
the blame is to be put on the Democrats too.
A lot of the blame is to be put on Trump,
a lot of it. A lot of the blame is
to be put on the Democrats too because of the
fact that, uh, Democrats did not secure the border tightly.

(03:44):
Uh and Democrats did not do enough deportations. Okay. And
I understand Democrats do not want to offend their bases
and everything. I get it, you know, But at the
same time, it took part in causing this problem as well. Okay,

(04:11):
So what has to happen now is Congress, okay, and
both major parties, Democrats and Republicans, they got to come together.
They got to work together and helping protect the border,
really secure it, you know. And that includes my boats

(04:33):
and bosses, everything all throughout, all across the table. Okay,
they got to secure it. They got to do a
lot more deportations. They got to all right. And it
also means that Congress has to help the immigration courts

(04:58):
because the immigration courts are so back law. They are
backlogged a big time. They've got to ease the immigration
courts too, They've got to. And then at the same time,
Congress needs to help get the immigration courts and the

(05:22):
systems like ICE and stuff like that connected together properly,
updated this, updated systems properly, and then that way they
can do their jobs properly. Okay. But here's the other thing.

(05:43):
The Congress also has to make sure that ICE is
doing things correctly. They cannot be anymore uh, misidentific misidentifications.

(06:05):
That cannot be anymore situations like it was an article
out there and I don't know how true it is.
They said that there was an immigrant that was with

(06:26):
her attorney or his attorney or whatever. And when the
attorney left to go to the bathroom, ice agents were
bringing the immigrants somewhere or whatever, and you know for
the immigration court hearing or whatever and what else. Uh,

(06:51):
that person's attorney having knowledge of this situation and there
was an issue turned into you know, happened in the hallway,
you know, they're whatever building they were in and stuff,
and so it got to be a bad situation. So
Congress really needs to get you know, on this and

(07:13):
really rectify the situation as well. And you know it's
also too, it's also important to really have the systems
updated properly so that you know, for FBI, for police,
for eyes, for all of them all across the board.

(07:33):
You know, immigration needents. So like I said, well that's
eyes and you know, so that way there's no misidentifications,
no nothing. And they have to also be properly trained.
I said this in a prior episode as well. You know,
especially when when they're dealing with children, little children, you know,

(07:53):
they're not dealing with adults then, so they're going to
be more sympathetic and stuff like that. And when it
comes to the children, and I don't mean it's sympathetic
in a way that you know, not to take them.
They just have to do it in a more softer manner,

(08:14):
like work with the school staff and trying to do
it nice and not so scary in a way for
little kids, you know, do it that way. And also
at the same time, when it comes to the children,

(08:37):
perhaps work the ICE and FBI, police and everybody need
to work together with the government agency so to try
to help find these these kids homes and maybe like
with a family member that is an actual United States
citizen and stuff, and perhaps maybe that child can go

(09:02):
live with that person. You know, they need to work
together properly and stuff, you know. So and they need
to work with the courts, they know, like uh uh,
you know the like I said, And here's the other thing,

(09:25):
Congress really needs to work with ICE and stuff in
the way that you know, to help train the agency
stuff properly and say listen and get the systems corrected
updated properly, and stuff like that in which to say,
like listen, if these if these immigrants are doing the

(09:46):
right thing and doing what they're supposed to do and
going to the court hearings and stuff like that, do
not take them they are doing the right thing. It's
the system that's taking so long. So if if these
people are doing the right thing and stuff like that,
then leave them alone. On the other hand, they need
to say to these agents and stuff and put it

(10:08):
into the systems and say, if these people are not
doing the right things, if they're not doing the right
thing and you know, not you know, stuff like that,
then go after these people and stuff like that. That's
the ones to go after. But if the ones that

(10:30):
are doing the right thing, then leave them alone. And
here's the other thing. If these people already did become
citizens and because they did the right thing, but it's
not updated in the systems and stuff, you know. Again,
this also proves that the systems have to be updated
properly and leave the good immer rental alone seriously. And

(11:00):
at the same time, Congress really needs to get the
systems going much faster, especially if the people are doing
the right thing and stuff like that. You've got to
get the system moving faster for them to complete everything
then to becoming a United States citizen. And it also

(11:22):
includes clearing up the immigration court systems properly. Okay, because
like I said, it's so backlogged. And I don't mean
backlog for just like a year or two. I mean
backlog going back decades. That's how bad this system is backlogged.

(11:49):
So that needs to be fixed. So but anyways, and
I said, the blame is to be put on yes,
I Trump, but also on Democrats as well. Okay, so

(12:11):
the blame doesn't just go in one direction. So now
with that being said, I want to remind all my
fans out there about my website, African Information Highway. The
link to there is ai aih ny dot com. Again,
that is aih ny dot com. You guys could check
out all the pages on there. And I just want

(12:34):
to let you guys know that I did change the
website around. Okay. I used to have a store page
with the two links on there, but I changed that around.
I now have another page for my uh for my
books that are being sold on Amazon, and I have
another page through my internet stare on Zazzle dot com.

(12:55):
And there's going to be more changes, possibly coming soon
possibly I don't know yet, but I'm working on it.
But like I said, you could check out the whole website.
You can check out all the pages on there. And
so with that, take care everybody, Bye,
