Speaker 1 (00:16):
Hey forbody. Welcome to today's show. Welcome to Equality and
Rants Parole. I'm your host, Anthony Lubrito Duke, and we
have a very interesting topic for today's show in which
it is religious conservative maga Republicans are still in an
uproar about LGBT issues. So let's get right into this.

(00:45):
So many people, I'm still seeing this online on social media,
so many of these conservative religious maga Republicans are in
an uproar about these male cheerleaders. First of all, the
male cheerleaders. Okay, these people are on fire, these these

(01:09):
male chierladers. I'm sorry. These male cheerleaders have been doing
a fantastic job. And I say to both of them,
you go, girls, go with your bad selves. And then
you know what, here's the other thing to do their
jobs wonderfully. Now for the higher brass that be in

(01:34):
the NFL. Yeah, if you ever have a doubt in
your life about these conservative religious matern Republicans saying, oh
they'll cancel last season tickets and whatever, here's what you
gotta do. There's two things. First, you say you want
to leave audio, Sayonara, bye bye. Don't let the door

(01:59):
crap you in. What your Mama gave you on the
way out. Second, you have to remember something else that
for every one person that wants to stop their season tickets,
you'll have at least ten people that will take their place,

(02:21):
because you you'll have the male cheerleader's family, the male
cheerleaders friends, and so on and so forth. You will
have so much other support. So each one conservative, religious,
Maga Republican that wants to leave, say audios to them,

(02:43):
bye bye bye, go leave bye bye, and then you'll
have so many more people taking that one person's place. Seriously, honestly,
don't ever worry about the season tickets issue. They don't
never worry about all losing money because that that won't happen.

(03:08):
That won't happen, all right, So because I know that uh,
the NFL high a brass that be, they high a
brass that be in the NFL end of the contracts
with Stonewall, and they stopped getting the rainbow colored uh

(03:33):
football outfits, all right, whatever, seriously, whatever, But maybe eventually
somewhere down the line, maybe that would change back to
don't have the contract with Stonewall again. You never know,
But for now, stand behind your male cheerleaders, your female

(03:58):
cheerleaders have no problem with that. Your female cheerleaders are
actually encouraging to have male cheerleaders. They're standing by them.
You have football players or even ex football players standing
by those male cheerleaders and supporting them. Seriously, you know,

(04:28):
these conservative Republican maga Republicans, these conservative religious maga Republicans,
always gonna want to find an excuse about everything. They
want to want to complain about everything, you know, and

(04:49):
what they don't think of is are they there to
watch the game and the football players. Are they there
to watch the cheerleaders. Are they buying the season tickets
to watch the game with the foot ball players or
they buying the season tickets just to look at the cheerleaders. Seriously,
and here's what I say to all the conservative religious

(05:10):
macro Republicans. Don't worry about looking at the damn cheerleaders.
Worry about focusing on your wives and your girlfriends, because
then you're the ones that are going back home and
then saying you got your saying you got your holier
than now then family values and all this other stuff.

(05:30):
You know, So stop stopping hypocrites, stop being hypocrites, and
don't worry about the cheerleaders. Just watch the football players
in and that's it. And if it's like at halftime

(05:52):
when the cheerleaders come out, then get your rear ends
up out of your seats, go to the concession stands.
Just go get your snaps and whatever else. You don't
have to look at them. Don't look at the cheerleaders,
then that's it. Don't worry about looking at them if
you don't like them, if you don't like looking at
the male cheerleaders, you just don't look at them. That's it.

(06:18):
Just worry about focusing on looking at the football players.
That's it. Stop all this hatred and the nonsense. And
here's another thing these conservative religious macro Republicans wanted to
get rid of, like black history from books that they

(06:39):
wanted to get rid of everything LGBT. They even wanted
to get rid of the algae at the LGBT murals,
at those crosswalks that were painted in pride colors. And
one of those pride colored cross wells was right by
where there was a mash shooting a few years ago

(07:03):
in Florida at a at a gay club, a mass
shooting which multiple people died. And that's why they put
that Burro that crosswalk right there in honor of them.
And then when the Republicans got control of Congress and

(07:23):
the White House and stuff, you know, they wanted to
get rid of the deis or all the inclusion stuff.
And so what happened was a Republican controlled cities and
states said we'll just wipe out that that pride color
crosswalk and we'll put it back to normal, to the

(07:44):
way that it was. And because a lot of conservative
religious maga Republicans were complaining about, oh my god, there's
a pride color crosswalk. Oh my god, our lives are
over with oh my god. So and then they said, oh,
we don't want to our taxpayers to pay for that.

(08:05):
So what happened was the conservative religious maga Republicans and
each city of state got rid of the pride colored
crosswalks and stuff like that. But here's the cash. You're
ready for this. Just about a couple of days ago,
people in the community got together at that club where

(08:29):
that mass shooting was in Florida, and they themselves are
people in the community, they themselves spent their own money
and repainted that crosswalk and pride colors and honor and
out of respect for those that died in that horrific

(08:56):
shooting at that gay club in Florida. So no other
people in the community, these conservative religious maga Republicans, can say,
but that tax dollars that did that. No, No, the
one that your taxpayer, the one that you're uh taxpaying

(09:19):
money paid for that was wiped out clean by the
other conservative religious maga republicans of your city and state.
But other people in your community got together and out
of their own pockets and at their own time they
put that brid color cross walk, that mural back. So

(09:42):
you can't say, oh, but that that tax pay and
paying for that. No, it's not. No, it's not all right.
So if you say, well, it's at taxpay, is that
cleaning for that, Well, it's also the tax the money
of the the tax money of those people that put
that mural there, their tax tyle pay for that as well.

(10:07):
So it's not just yours or whatever. There's it's their money,
maybe your maybe your conservative religious naga Republican tax money
pay for other regular crosswalks and not and not that
rainbow one. How about that? Hmm. So to stop the hatred,

(10:32):
stop the nonsense. Seriously, enough is enough. We've got so
much other stuff going on in today's society. Enough is enough,
Enough is enough already. And so with that, I want
to remind all my fans out there about my website,
African Information Highway. The link to there is aih ny
dot com. Again, that's aih ny dot com. You guys

(10:53):
can check out all the pages on there, and don't
forget to go to my two other pages on my website,
the uh the paya that is titled my internet storemsassle
dot com and the other page that is about my
books on Amazon. And for each one of those pages,

(11:14):
you'll see links on there. If you click on those things,
it'll bring you right to Like if you click on
the link to my internet storeensassle dot com, it'll bring
you right to my internet storrensassle dot com and you'll
see all the products h on my internet storrensassle dot com.

says my bookstore on Amazon, if you click on that
page and you'll see links on there. If you click
on any one of those links, it'll bring you right

on Amazon dot com and so if that take care

The Burden

The Burden

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
