Devin. The offense seemed to be gelling today. What went
into the offensive game plan or the mentality behind today's execution, Yeah,
just me being able to get to talk to you know,
the offense, just us. You know, my biggest emphasis was
remember the confidence, you know we have we have one
back game. You know, Uh, games like that happen. So
the fact that we've been together since the spring and

we've been working this hard, and you know, we know
what we're capable of. We know what guys we have.
It's come out here and you know, let's let's handle
business that we normally do. Let's not reflect too much
on what happened in the past. We learned from it,
and let's come out here and let's ball.

Hey, Devin Billing Scott upstairs, thanks for joining us. Twenty
one to twenty six, two thirty seven, four touchdowns and
then of course you ran eleven times for thirty three
in a touchdown. You looked really locked in. It must have.
I mean, I know you work on the game plan
with coach Beck, but it really looked from the very
beginning like you guys were locked in. Offensively, especially you
throwing that football.

Yeah, you know that's that's huge credit to you know,
the whole entire offense. You know, when we're all dialed
in the way we treated this week, you know, we
we just we just had a different mentality coming into
this week. We had something to prove to our ourselves
that uh, you know Big twelve Championship is what we wanted.
And uh, this was the game to you know, allow
us to prove our prove ourselves to again ourselves. And

you know, we came out here and they made my
job a lot easier.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
You know, a lot a lot of your success was
was throwing the ball today? What were you seeing on
the field and uh was you know, just talk about
what West Virginia was actually doing, uh, because you certainly
seem very comfortable with with the looks you were getting.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Yeah, you know, they they're definitely a team that brings
quite a bit of pressure for sure. And you know,
I'm happy that, you know, again I have the offensive
line that I do. You know, those pressures felt very
minor to me today and uh, just to be able
to have pressure, you know, there's less guys playing coverage
and you know, our guys at the time in that
we've been practicing with it all week. You know that
came to play in today and you know, I thought

I thought everything was just clicking.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
It seems like you feel really comfortable throwing those jump
balls to your tight ends because you threw one to
Doall and you o one to JJ another one today.
Walk us through those plays because I think you've got
three touchdowns this year on those back shoulders or those
jump balls to your tight ends.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
Yeah, you know, Jaja is just a freshman and uh
you know he's He's one of the most athletic guys
I've seen out there. So you know, just that chemistry
we're able to build all fall camp, you know, uh
you know, yeah, again I trust JJ out there, and
uh you know again Dallon Dollen's you know he's he's
also missed a revival him and r D. You know,
those those are the guys. Those are the guys. You

know you put that ball up there, you know they're
gonna do everything they can to go get that ball.
So just HS trusting those guys.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
So you always you always have a player too, you go, oh, man,
I wish I had that back or you you feel
you feel bad about you know, I made a poor decision,
right here kind of walk us through the interception. Coach
Whittingham said, the ball kind of slipped out of your hand.
What what happened on that play?

Yeah, you know, very the great design play.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Uh.

They I think they played maybe Cover two or Cover
three into it. But we had three verticals and you know,
I thought I could have thrown it at any any of them.
Ball just didn't spin right out of my hand. I
wish I could have that one back for sure, but no,
live on it. And you know, as soon as I
got to the sidline, the whole team said they got
my back. So that's just the best thing to hear

when you know your guys are riding for you.

Scott doesn't know anything about that depth. That never happened.

What has it meant to be with these guys at
Utah and have Coach Beck and Coach Simon too, Just
to have all you guys together and see the success
you had last year and then building on it. This
year at Utah.

Yeah, for sure. You know it's it's one of those
things you know, people don't appreciate enough.

I'm glad that, especially just I was with Ryan since
my freshman year, just to build that bond with him
to where we are now. You know, I can't think
it enough, expecting the Cary Rodgers. Yeah, I mean, like
we we hang out every day. There's not a day
we're not together. We're hanging out of someone's house. And
just our coaches as well. Our coaches are very love

and genuine orientated. You know, that's that's how you know,
they build the trust in our offense. So just the
fact that that we brought that family atmosphere here and
Utah accepted us and just allowed us to be us,
it's the best thing possible.
