We knew you guys' comfortability in New Mexico was was
second to none. Right, but you coming in here the
past few weeks, you and Devin are on the same page.
Two touchdowns today you looked absolutely awesome. Talk to me
about this offense and how important it was to get
this bounce back.

I think it was really important coming off, oh my bad,
coming off a lost last week, really coming in Monday
washing it off, forgetting about it, and then coming in
this week and trying to go one to know, I
think we just tried to attack, do our thing, trying
to stay consistent, and then another day another dollar that

we came out today and freaking shot our shots and
ended up working.

guess the transfer move to Utah is paying dividends for you.
What went into the move and and how how comfortable?
How at home do you feel right now?

I feel great? First off. I want to just thank God.
I'm so grateful to be here. It's a blessing to
be able to still be playing. You know, I've had
a history. I've had two hip surgeries and stuff, and
now that's in the past. And uh so grateful for
coach back coach Simon for reaching out to me when
I hit the portal after New Mexico, and yeah, that

(01:28):
was that was my main decision, was them having their trust,
having Dev's trust. Yeah, last year was the most fun
I've ever had playing football. And big part of it
was because Dev. He just He's able to get out
of the pocket, make make plays happen when a play
isn't supposed to happen.

You know.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
And yeah, we're we have we have a good connection
on scrambles stuff like that, and I know he trusts me.
So yeah, that was a huge part and why I
came to Utah And for sure, Yeah, love Dev and
I'm definitely happy where I'm at.

It felt like today you guys made a more concerted
effort to throw the ball up the field, even on
earlier downs, to throw the ball in the middle of
the field. You kind of caught some passes more in
that intermediate range today. You know, tell tell, tell us
how much of a design that was with the coaches,
the game plan and was that was that part of

your plan to attack West Virginia a little bit?

Speaker 1 (02:25):
I would say. I mean every game we may have
not just connected on some of the d balls, and
then today we did. But yeah, it wasn't It's like
we changed the whole game plan. We just stuck to
our guns and do what we do and connected. You know, football,
that play can happen and then it also can't happen.

(02:46):
So we're just glad we connected today and that the
effort that we took this week paid off.

He's now got thirty six on the year for two
