Speaker 1 (00:04):
Welcome to another edition of Extra Connections. I'm James Lodginia
here at Jail J Media. I'm a jail j of
Jail Jbdia. That's very important because because why say that,
because I'm sitting across from another boss. We are bosses.
We take care of our own business, we venture out,
we connect with other people. And she's a doer. She's
(00:25):
somebody who's out there and she's connecting. And we're gonna
tk about the show, of course, and you know she's
from you see behind me, but she also started the
Women's Brunch of Mississippi and it's a whole platform, statewide,
turning national nonprofit helping thousands of women launch their own businesses,
which is like we need more black.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
Business and more black women business.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
But also with this show Bell Collective, right, you guys
know that show it's on owner stuff. She behind that too,
so it's not just you didn't just show up. She's
also a part of that. So we're gonna talk about
all of that and her fabulous Listen. I love her
new hair up here saying.
Speaker 3 (01:05):
Oh my gosh, thank you you are everything. You are everything.
It's the energy for me, it's the energy for me,
thank you, thank you for having me, Thank you so much,
Thank you so much. My teens spoke so highly of you,
and I was like, oh my gosh, I would love to.
I also share that you are a huge fan of
the show, so when I and myself, so when I
(01:27):
hear that, I was like, honey, we're gonna do this
one on one.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
Okay, chop it up, chop it up. That's right, chop
it up. No, Because I mean, first, I always ask
people how are you doing?
Speaker 3 (01:39):
I am fine? Thank you so much for asking. You
know what, that little bit like that little that that
that simple question, how are you? It goes a long way.
I am wonderful. Thank you for asking.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
How are you today? I am good always in a moment,
So today I am good. I'm with you, We're pressing
with you. We have a good time. We're gonna talk
about what's going on and what and what you've been
through recently in terms of success that you're having. It's
just amazing. And have you always been kind of a
self starter? You were achiever even if you were a
(02:13):
kid or growing up. We're always like that.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
Absolutely. My mom loves to tell this story of how
I walked before I crawled, So I know, right, that's
another story. You have to get her for that. Like
I literally I walked before I crawl and then she
was like I started crawling, and my grandpa it was
like girl, get up, get up, Like what are you doing?
Speaker 2 (02:34):
Get up?
Speaker 3 (02:35):
So I have always been like that that door, you
know what I mean, Like I don't know, even with
me registering for college and stuff, my mom, I'm a door,
you know what I mean, Like if I wanted, I'm
just gone, I'm just gonna. I'm just gonna go do it,
you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
Yeah, that's a that's a that's a great that's a
great thing. I mean at the present in your life
that you were walking before you crawl. You went you
didn't know you were, you were a baby, but you
went big.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
You know what, This is my first time that's that question.
This is my first time ever saying that. I've never
been asked that, And this is my first time saying
that my mom has publicly, you know, my mom has.
She always shared that like my family and everybody.
Speaker 1 (03:17):
So that is yih that is my people exclusive from jails.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
Like that.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
But I think think it's great that it shows that
you had an initiative and I can join this business.
This is not this is not for the faint and
heart going into like the television business at all, which
you are in it now. But first before we're talbot
that I once taught your Women's Brunch Mississippi. What a
wonderful uh setup you have? Can you talk about that?
Speaker 3 (03:43):
Absolutely? Thank you, Thank you for even asking. So I
launched women Branch Mississippi back in twenty and seventeen, and
the purpose of it, of that is still is today,
is to connect female entrepreneurship at the state of Mississippi
and really advocate and really showcase that they're women can
actually collaborate. I promote collaboration over competition, and not only that,
(04:05):
to go a step further. It's more than just brunching.
I mean, it's about starting entrepreneurship. It's about connecting with
other women, you guys, partnering together and building multi multi
million dollar businesses together. You know, It's about learning and
being educated so you can take something something tangible. I
advocate like credit repair specialists. There we have someone from
the secondary to stay a small business administration. We have
(04:28):
like I I RS specialists, people who can really help
entrepreneurs and really like remove all excuses. So it's more
than just brunching. But honey, I do love the brunch.
But it's also about tricking women into knowledge. Like, yes,
we're doing women in powering brunch. We're doing this, but
we're gonna also trick you into some knowledge. Come on
(04:49):
over here and see how you can start this business.
Come on over here and collaborate with you know, bank
bank owners and loan originators. Come come here because they're there.
They're waiting on you when you're waiting on them. So
it's it's bigger than that. It's really Women Branch Mississippi
is really about promoting women empowerment and really connecting women
(05:09):
with the resources and the people that they need and
wanted to be successful.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
Yeah, what you're teaching the people are when they stop
teaching in schools, they don't teach about economics, they don't
teach about how to fill out a tax form correctly.
You know, how do you how to go for a
loan and a bank. And you're right, there's money out
there that people just aren't going to They have no idea.
And now to me, it's just no stupid question, folks.
(05:34):
There's no other question. You just may not know. You
may not know, and it takes someone that shows called
connections because literally it's about connecting with someone else who
does know and can bring you there. Right, you're the conduit.
You're basically the conduit between folks. You are going maybe
should start a business to them starting a business.
Speaker 3 (05:53):
Yeah, absolutely, absolutely, that's that's exactly it. You hit the
nail on your head, Jane.
Speaker 2 (05:59):
How have you had?
Speaker 1 (06:00):
Is there any stories that stick out our story that
sticks out to you of just coming from I mean,
I'm sure it's a lot of people are giving you
a lot of great stuff happening, But any stories stick
out to you.
Speaker 3 (06:10):
Like, oh I have a lot, I have a ton
of stories.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
Give me one that just that you're like warms your
heart about.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
The brunch, Oh my god, for what I get? You know,
after I put on the branches, like again from like
twenty seventeen, I've been doing them and I was just
like throwing in it just to see like the replies
on Facebook or you know, people adding me like this
was wonderful. They don't know the behind the scenes, but
(06:39):
you know, this was wonderful. This was amazing. I connected
with someone or I'll look on Facebook, I look on
social media, and I'll see two women who met at
my brunch and here they are starting a business together.
Here they are collaborating. Here they are at lunch together.
So it's stuff like that. I get so many different
stories just about how they impact, how the brunch empowered them,
(07:02):
how I empowered them, and just and I always tell
a lot of people, James, it's not about someone like
believing in you. It's about someone believing with you. You
know what I'm saying, Like, you don't have to say
if I send you something like, well, Titia, you can
do it. You can do it. You can make this happy?
Do you probably like that ain't my thing. I don't
(07:23):
want a brunch, but you're gonna believe with me.
Speaker 1 (07:25):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (07:26):
So I love how the just this overall and the
vision that God just really really put in my heart.
I love how it's just manifesting in something even bigger,
even you know, the Bell Collective, you know what I mean,
just really women and even with that, just advocate women
empowerment and how women can really really do some amazing
(07:46):
things when they come together.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
I'm assuming since you've been on the show, the show
has been out there, it must have made a larger
audience for your women.
Speaker 2 (07:54):
Collect that your women think.
Speaker 3 (07:56):
You right, absolutely absolutely, let me tell you absolutely, just
being on just having an opportunity, you know, having an
opportunity because you got to think about it. Well, you
don't know, but a lot of people, I mean we've
had different things over the years, not with me, but
I've heard different things or people wanting to highlight Mississippi
or people companies are coming down to do with any
(08:18):
and nothing came from it. So I always have to
shout out Carlos King, you know, the CEO and founder
of Kingdo Raign Entertainment, for not bypassing us. You know,
he could have said, oh yeah, oh what's down there?
You know, but he's a creative, so he said, well
what's down there? You know what I mean? Some people
like what's down there? And they were like, ohin not
and he thinking in his head as a creative, what's
(08:39):
down there? So I just took a shout out him
for giving us a chance. But the opportunities, just the
opportunities from this platform. They I mean, I'm everywhere, I'm traveling,
I'm gone to I got fluid out to Jamaica to
speak once like I am all over and you know,
so just just the purpose is bigger, bigger than I
(09:00):
would have ever imagined. And that Vehic Caull and me
being on the open win for network and me being
you know, a part of well collective. It has just
really manifested into something amazing and that I'll forever be
grateful for.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
You know, how are you staying grounded? Ooh?
Speaker 3 (09:17):
When we say the words James grounded and balanced, I'd
be like who created these words? Where that comes from?
Because I know, you know, as an entrepreneur, thats successful
you know, as you are you like work, So I
mean when we talk about being grounded and balance as
(09:38):
an entrepreneur, it's just that you have to prioritize. So
I am you prioritize? I have a ten year old son,
you know, and even what Joshua was just doing mommy
things and turning the phone off and just things that
I have to do. Prioritize is the word for me,
you know, because as long as you are on this
phone and this is how I make my money, it's
(09:59):
like you have to put it onto the couch. You
gotta just you gotta walk away from it. That's the
only you have to walk away from it. You have
to meditate because if not, it's in our hand.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
It's this.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
You're right, you're you're right, you're right.
Speaker 3 (10:11):
I mean, so it's somebody say, James and you why
you text? They see your text, your text, but you
out there. They it's in their hand, their phone. They're
just not replying back to you because we don't walk
away from the phone.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
Okay, unless wait a minute, when I'm with you, your
phone's always only. But then when I text you about
with you.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
There you go, Yeah, you want to stand by, but.
Speaker 2 (10:39):
You know you're about that girl. You are absolutely correct.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
But that's how just really prioritizing and really just focus
in and and and just remember I'm one person. I'm
one person as a woman and a woman, you know,
an entrepreneur. And I can only you know, eat what
I killed is out here. You constantly, you're constantly on
the go. So I have to say, you know what,
let me take time. I'm human, I'm human. Let me go. Hey,
(11:02):
so let's take your bike to the park, Let's have
to one on one, let's watch a movie, you know,
just doing family things. You know that that keeps me grounded.
And of course prayer and meditation always.
Speaker 1 (11:14):
Always God's we're his hands, We're good, You're right. So
with the collective, how the concept come up for you?
How this concept happened?
Speaker 3 (11:29):
Who is a long story myself, it's not it's not
really really, I'll make it really quick. Myself along with
an amazing, an amazing friend of mine named Jacoline McGee.
He he was really helping me in the beginning with
(11:50):
women Brunch Mississippi. He would come out, he would just
like kind of oversee things for me amazing and he
was just like, you know what, you love these women,
you love Mississippi, you love all these things. That's that's
going on. There's a guy he's opened his what you
call it like when you can submit? He was, yeah,
and he submitted it and it's just it went. It
(12:12):
went from there, and Carlos King got on a call.
He loved the concept. As he said, I didn't audition
to be on the show. Being on the show was
not on my vision board. So I always have to
credit him for seeing something in me that I didn't
see in myself. When he, you know, was like, hey,
what do you do and what you know? I wanted
to be I was. I was focused on Jay. Literally
(12:34):
I pitched the girls. I didn't even pitch myself like.
I was more focused on like being behind the scenes
like PA, just trying to get what they need and
just you know, just get in it. And Carlos was
able to see something in me that I didn't even
see in myself. That's why it's so important not to preach,
but to surround yourself around people who can see greatness
in you when you can't see it in yourself. Because
(12:56):
he could have been a hey, he could have not
even cared about me, you know, he was like girl,
was able to see my heart and for that I'll
always give him credit. But I literally pitched the other girls.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
I know, and now I look at literally in shock
right now. Literally you know that.
Speaker 3 (13:12):
No, I was not and didn't think anything about it,
didn't think about why me. That was not the vision
for me.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
Then.
Speaker 3 (13:19):
The vision was to if if they come down here
and shoot. I wanted to be in the mist. I
wanted to do PA and and you know, work my
way up. I come from being a paralegal, so I'm
a servant like even before that by nature, like so
my thing was like, ooh, if they come down here,
then I can help them do this. We can get locations.
That was, we can put on other entrepreneurs. You know,
(13:41):
we can feel them at their restaurant. So that was
my mindset. And I always tell people when your intentions
are good, God move you find the back of the
line to the front of the line. You don't even
know what he doing. You just gotta trust them. James,
so here, you.
Speaker 1 (13:54):
Know, I can't I can't even imagine show. I mean, seriously,
I can't even imagine you. I'm like this. But what
you suppose you're saying though, is and I'm hearing you,
you were still in that mode of service. Yes, we'll
pick out the restaurants they go to you. That's not entrepreneur.
(14:15):
You will pick out the clothing. And you were like,
for you're a producing You're like a producer, You're like this,
So you were in that mode.
Speaker 3 (14:22):
I was in that mode.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
Yeah, that was my Yeah.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
I was like I'm doing that. You're like these girls
on here, it's get them features, them going. But you
were thinking, let's get me featured and get me going
to you.
Speaker 3 (14:34):
Oh no, not not even a little.
Speaker 1 (14:36):
Bit, not even what So what convinced you? What can
when he when he was talking to when Kenny said, girl,
what what convinced you to do it?
Speaker 2 (14:43):
Actually?
Speaker 3 (14:44):
Okay? So once he said that, I was like huh
and I still remember the conversation and he was like,
you know, what do you do when I'm like, I
had one brisce Mississippi and mind you, I was to
stay home at this time, I had my son and
Glenn took me off work from being a pare legal.
I wasn't doing any bell bonding, you know. I was
just really focused and just like, okay, I created this
(15:06):
platform women brines Mississippi, something to keep to keep going,
but to also serve because I didn't want to lose
my mo job. So when we were on the car
and I was like, oh, that's all I do, and
he said, well, what do your husband doing, I'm like, oh,
he works on the tobo. He works on the Misissippi River.
Like we are not these girls that I'm pitching on
multi millionaires. Like listen, I'm just a plug at this time.
(15:28):
On the plug, I would connect the dots and you
know he said that he was like basically, no, I
want you. I see something in you and I'm like me,
you know. So I got off and I remember talking
to his damage to call and I'm like, oh my god,
I was on that call and now one girl not
gonna baby get the spot because I'm on the call.
(15:50):
And even Chakobe poured into me and he was like,
you just don't get it, like this is God, Like
you don't get it. So I talked to Glenn about it,
and I said, Glenn the guy, because I you know,
of course, like the man says that he wanted us,
he wanted me on the show. He wanted I'm not
gonna do that, and I Glenn said, oh, yes the
hell you are. He said, oh, we're doing it. I
said we are. And he said, you talked to everybody
(16:11):
about manifestation and being in a linement and trusting the process,
and now it's you and you can't even get your
own advice. And I said, you know what, baby, you
better check me with my words, you better check me.
And that was the best decision ever, so perfect alignment,
and I just thank God for it.
Speaker 1 (16:31):
Yeah, I know, that's that's pretty funny, actually, but then
I loved that the first of your thoughts, like, well,
then one of the girls can't come on because I
loved that was your first thought at first, like, oh,
that's actually very sweet.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
But yeah, you did get on there. I'm glad. I'm
glad you checked y.
Speaker 3 (16:45):
Me too, me too, me too, me too. Now I
get it, me too, listen you. So I went on
my vision board. When I came on the first season,
bade my wig down here. I'm like these other girls
to the tea. I'm like, baby, they've been waiting on
this all their life, and I said, here, I am
down here. But we didn't even know how to properly
put on no wig, didn't know what I was doing.
I'm just like, I'm just a girl sitting at Holler
(17:07):
with two pound of tails in the back of helping
people start businesses or speaking life into them.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
You know.
Speaker 3 (17:13):
Glenn was real flashy. So when I come down, I
remember my first I think it was like a tweet
and somebody was like, oh, can somebody tell a teha
her wigs shouldn't be on her eyebrows. I'm like Gray,
it was all the way down there, giants. Did you
see that you could tell? Having giant said, okay, I
got tor skined and now I got thig skin. Now
know I'm bothering me now, but I said.
Speaker 1 (17:34):
Oh my god, I remember that. That's a good that's
a good point to segue into you. So watching you back,
how is it been watching yourself back on screen? Or
do you watch yourself at all? Do you watch the
show it all? Do you look at yourself one.
Speaker 3 (17:55):
Time like when we live tweeting? Maybe, okay, watch it,
but I never go back. This was the first time
this year, actually about three weeks ago, that I watch
some of the stuff back because I was trying to
look I was looking for something in particular. Some Yeah,
(18:16):
so I was like, oh my goodness, you know, just
the like it's unreal. I cannot believe that we feel
this many seasons like we are here, you know, and
some of the all I can say is, James, is this, Yes,
I just have to. I pride myself and being authentically me,
(18:39):
and that's just what it is, you know what I mean.
Am I happy with my authentic self? Sometimes? No? But
am I happy that I stay true to me? Yes?
And move on how I feel. Absolutely? And that's just
what it is, you know.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
That's reality really and all for you sleep at night.
Speaker 3 (18:58):
Yeah, for me to get sleep if I talked to
you last year, two three years, I'm not gonna get
the same James. But that's okay. I don't regret anything.
I don't regret anything. You know, a lot of people
say reality TV it can ruin this, it can do this,
it can do that. I was able to find my
voice in reality TV coming from you know, because Glenn
(19:20):
and I, of course, you know we've been married for
so long, and you know it was I was a
follow of the leader, as I you know, shoot down Mississippi,
you submit, you'll be here with your husband. You do
what your husband tell you to do, you know. So
for me, I can remember the first time I was
left alone in a green screen as we call it
a green without Glenn James. I was scared. I'm like,
(19:42):
this is who I vibe off of him, Like he's
gonna take the leading. And it's like that moment, I'm like,
I can say what I don't want to say, whenever
I want to say how I want.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
To say it, and it's.
Speaker 3 (19:55):
It's just been up since then. But I was so scared.
So it's been an experience and I was able to
find myself and my identity and beil collective, you know,
being on the platform.
Speaker 2 (20:08):
That's about of stuff.
Speaker 3 (20:10):
I'll be like, girl, are you?
Speaker 2 (20:12):
But it is what it is. That's good, bad is
not so great.
Speaker 3 (20:15):
And I don't regret nothing, nothing, not a zero zimp that.
Speaker 2 (20:23):
Makes me happy. I don't want you. I don't want
you bet nothing.
Speaker 3 (20:25):
No, I'm not no, I do not live with it,
and I no, I take accountability and I'm gonna move forward.
But regret nine, that's not That's where I that's where
I am in that in that space, and that's just
what it is.
Speaker 2 (20:37):
It is amazing. Guys are lasted, as lasted some.
Speaker 1 (20:41):
Shows, they just died after a couple of a couple
of seasons or season to get on your season.
Speaker 2 (20:47):
Why do you think the show is successful? And you're
in your opinion, why do you think it's successful?
Speaker 3 (20:51):
I think the show is successful for for two reasons.
One reason I think sad. Of course, we're down south
from Mississi. Down south in Mississippi, a lot of people
are curious because people don't come here. That's true, right,
So I think that that's one. People are curious what
they're doing, what is it? How do they add? What's that?
And then the south is popping right now in you.
(21:12):
So it's like I see, I'll see, I see, I
swear it all over now, So it's like, okay cool.
And for two, what I love about this cast is
that we just it's just raw, you know what I mean,
It's just it's raw. I think that it's Apple females,
you know what I mean. And you know we all
(21:33):
just bring something different. It's not no one, None of
us are like head Button. We're all in our own
different lanes, doing our own different things. And I think
just showing up as your authentic self and just really
being comfortable now around the camera and like, hey, this
is me and my raws form you want it or not.
And I think that that's what That's what people love
(21:55):
to see. People love to see you know, you be
authentic as you as a viewer, you can tell when
people are not being authentic, so you know you're able
to just stay like, Okay, I like these girls. And
I think as long as we continue to show up
as ourselves, we're going to continue to be in your face,
do you know what I mean? I think we all
went Friday nights, you know.
Speaker 1 (22:18):
Well, I thing is we can we go relate to
her or I relate to her, or I know somebody
just like her, because you're right, So, man, of these
shows that don't make it, they're just they're too put
on to produced. We know reality TV is produced on
some level, but like some of them are just too produced.
Folks on there are too polished. Yeah, well that's boring.
(22:40):
Or we know that's fake.
Speaker 2 (22:41):
We know that.
Speaker 1 (22:41):
We know that's so fake that it's not but it's
not even good fake. You know, you know we're so
fake if it's so bad, it's good sometimes like Okay,
I can watch this, Yeah, but you guys are the
real deal. You can tell a leap off the screen
can tell you the real deal. Thank you every episode
you used to just tell That's what I'm saying. I
(23:03):
wipe a fan of yours, like just you can tell this,
there's real stem getting there. And that's always say, how's
to watch yourself? Because you don't watch something offen because
you are being real. You're showing up at that moment,
that's how you felt at that moment, that's what was going.
Speaker 3 (23:16):
On exactly right at that moment, and that's just you'll forget,
you'll forget the cameras and that and one thing about
the production company, like the production company and we're under
Kingdom rang like, you can forget that they're there because
they're not interrupt They're just they're not interrupting you. So
(23:36):
whatever you got going on, that's what you got going on.
If you say something crazy and maybe saying to edit
and it may not, you just you don't know, and
you can forget, so it's not produced. It's like, that's
what you that's how you feel in this moment, that's
what you get. And that's one thing too that I
love about working for Carlos king Production because you're gonna
(23:58):
be like, oh, why do I say that? Well, you're
gonna be like, can you take it? I was like, no,
that's how you felt. That's what it is. And again
that goes back to being able and being in a
place where you are able to be authentic. You know
when you're able, Like it has worked for me, It
hadn't worked for me, but at the end of the day,
as we both have agreed, that was me in that moment.
Speaker 2 (24:18):
Oh got it?
Speaker 1 (24:19):
Yeah, Well your parallegal skills like work for that behind
the scenes to you.
Speaker 3 (24:23):
Chat, I don't care nothing about that.
Speaker 2 (24:26):
Chat.
Speaker 3 (24:26):
I don't care nothing about that baby, don't care nothing
about that paralegal skills nothing. Oh that's what she said, Yeah,
we love it. Run the ratings up. Then what she said,
Oh that's what we that's how she Oh, we love you.
You're so authentic. Okay, yeah, hey, welcome to man. Oh collective?
Speaker 1 (24:46):
Okay, we collective? So how do you handle we both
are in the public eye. I had learned about I
learned about comments years ago when I first got in
the business. I was like, oh, okay, sometimes you can't
read them. Sometimes you can, how the whole comments.
Speaker 3 (25:02):
So the first season, I was like, people because people
love me in real life, so you have like enemies
or I didn't have people like when I met people
or I would meet people like we love T shirt.
I'm like, like, I didn't have that baby. When you came
to Beyonce's Internet, okay and we dropped, it was too
(25:27):
much for me. It was too much like huh, you're
judging me off for forty five minutes. So it was
like that. But now that was of course that was
in Now it's like child, bring it on, like I
have I have really really thick skin right now, Like
it just be like, that's how you feel. I'm like,
oh my god, you know I'm not in a that's
(25:49):
how you feel. Dang, I hate you feel that way,
like you cannot you can't beat the internet. And I
always tell a lot of my mentees too, the internet
is not a real place. Let's just start there. It's
not a real place. Is there for its purpose and
we're grateful for But when you know who you are,
and after so many seasons and doing this and we
speaking in existence, we're gonna have so many more seasons.
(26:11):
It just comes with it. It just comes with the territory.
It's one of those things that you sign up for.
I know, even with you like you know, people just
picking you apart. But at the same time, baby, you're
walking in your purpose. And when you're walking in your purpose, baby,
the opinions you like, they said, what oh they did?
Laugh and go on with it because you can't. You don't.
You can't stop, you know, and throw stones and everybody
(26:34):
got something to say. And you gotta remember too, ain't
nobody checking for no part car So baby, if you moving,
you gotta have them, you want them. It comes with it.
It's a part of it. So don't don't even our doll,
don't even I'm like, girl, what and just start joking back.
I'll throw back sometimes, you know, just troll back. It's
(26:55):
nothing too, it's nothing. But at first, be at first,
this is you know, you know, oh my god, Like
it was hard because it was new, and I think
it was hard on everybody at first because we just
they just we just we just we just got out
there and showed up as ourselves.
Speaker 1 (27:16):
But other than that, a lot of a lot of
people are to watch these shows. It's it's all low
hanging fruit. Don't mention your weight or your hair.
Speaker 2 (27:24):
You're too.
Speaker 1 (27:25):
It's all low hanging fruit, folks. It just it's just
easy to do that. But you have fans too. I
saw that you have fans off like friend.
Speaker 3 (27:32):
Yes, I love them and more. And you have to
think about it too. You know, some people have like
one person may have like fifty accounts. It could be
the same person, like you know, for one person that
hates me, twenty people love me. You know, you just
have to. And my numbers not stopping now. If I
had a decrease in like my bookings or my money,
(27:53):
they'll be like hold on. But not so you have
to realize too. Most of the people who are trolling,
they don't watch the show. They're watching clips, you know
what I mean. So because I've been booked for so
many times and it's like they watched the show. They're
not on the internet, that that's out there, that's not
their low hanging fruit energy. They actually sit down and
(28:15):
they watch us. And that's what I love. So when
it comes to that or somebody talking about you know
different things or my wait, baby, I look at myself
every day say I know, Tay, I know what you
want to do. Do you want to go in the
mirror and cry because I'm not.
Speaker 2 (28:35):
Which want to know?
Speaker 3 (28:37):
I talk about I don'n't care, and people know, they
be so rude that I do have like pcos they
don't care. But that's not that's that's a you problem.
I feel great, honey, every time, every time I wake up,
every time I go to sleep, every time I look
at the mirror, I am she And you can't get
you can't get tied up in there or you will
lose sight of the vehicle that God has provided you with.
Speaker 2 (29:00):
Yeah, yeah, you got you gotta, especially in this business.
Speaker 1 (29:03):
You got tea those opportunities and and work with them,
do what you can with them, stretch them out. You
can't let nobody come in who's not in the business
say a few bad words to you. Oh my god,
over you have you have to get over that. You
really trying to stay in the course.
Speaker 3 (29:19):
Stay in the course, and you're not gonna be authentic.
If you're worried about how people are gonna view you,
you're not gonna be authentic. And one thing that I
love about, especially in our audience, our audience, I've learned
they they are they.
Speaker 2 (29:31):
Are very smart. Don't say yeah.
Speaker 3 (29:34):
They are very smart, and they can see like they
may talk a whole bunch of young but they be like,
at the end of the day, you gotta respect the
real So that's what I do love about our audience.
They're able to tell, like, what's what. They're very smart.
So you just continue to show up as your authentic
self because y'all gonna clock it. Okay, Yeah, every time
(29:57):
y'all gonna clock it.
Speaker 1 (30:00):
Yes they will. Yes, I love that. Uh So, what
are some are some of the things you have coming up?
The appearances, jakes.
Speaker 3 (30:08):
Coming up, Oh my gosh. So there's so much going
on I have. Of course, I'm doing the brunch tour
finally in a stay of Mississippi. Yes, I'm doing the
rebranding of Women Branch Mississippi. I have speaking engagements coming,
more opportunities, a couple ambassador deals. So God is really
really moving, He's really really moving, and I'm just excited
(30:30):
about it all.
Speaker 1 (30:31):
I'm just gonna I feel like there's a book coming
somewhere from you, be from you at some point.
Speaker 3 (30:36):
Will because I tried it, I have to take it
back because I was no longer in that season. So now, God,
so I got something else. So Okay, we're gonna clock it. Okay,
We're gonna clock it and move on.
Speaker 2 (30:50):
Okay, that's right. I was saying.
Speaker 1 (30:54):
I just I want everything from you and everything. Okay, yeah,
you have to just you have the best in it.
I mean really thank you you too. I really, I'm
so thankful to you on my show today, and you
have to come back anytime. And I'm just like, if
you're comes to La you're speaking engagement, I will have
to come to you. You love for you too, Oh
my God, I love to see you live just like
(31:14):
I'm actually.
Speaker 3 (31:15):
Just God, I have to double check with my manager.
But we have someone just requested for me to come
to l A. They're having some women women's conference. But
I will keep you updated. Let's stay locked in. Let's
stay locked in.
Speaker 1 (31:29):
Okay, you are you are amazing. Shout to your husband
and your child.
Speaker 3 (31:34):
Thank you. Glenn.
Speaker 2 (31:36):
Yes, first of all, is he having How's he having? Everything? Glen?
Speaker 3 (31:41):
Oh? A lot of Glenn is not as he be
withitted as they say he be witted. He be with it,
you know what I mean? He don't. I don't know.
(32:01):
I can't explain it. Some things will be like what,
but then he'd be like roll in it, like he's
just opinions on the day of the mood days and
you know, I don't know, but that's just that's just
his swag with everything. And it's always been his swag
with everything, you know, like, hey, everything's gonna work out
the way it should, how it should win it show
it will and that's what it is.
Speaker 2 (32:23):
You know, the teacher to folks where they can fight
you and all your goodness.
Speaker 3 (32:27):
Okay, everything letis Yeah. Letitia Pearson. If you go, you
put in Latitia Pierson dot com. That's my website. I'm
on Instagram. On t Sha Pearson, I am not hard
to find, and it's l A T s h I
A Pearson p e A R s O N. And
just get at.
Speaker 1 (32:43):
Your girl, you know, yeah, please she is she is
worth it and I will put underneath the description all
of that so you can just make it easy for
you folks out there than she is worth a follow, seriously, seriously,
thanks for being on the show. Back sometimes, back on
and sometime I'm James Augena's extra connections connect with people
(33:04):
and also support of the people. She's about collaboration. I'm
the same way. Find your tribe, find your tribe, they're
out there. And find your black tribe. You're black, find them,
lift each other up. That's the whole point. We believe
to live each other and share knowledge. I believe that wholeheartedly.
No person is an island. We are a giant village.
So so follow her example, follow my example, and we'll
(33:27):
see you next time.
Speaker 3 (33:29):
Yay, thank you,
