Speaker 1 (00:05):
Walking on to another edition of Extra Connections. I am
James Lott Junior. I am, and I'm so black right now,
let's get some light on me. Oh there, I am,
I'm here, I'm here, now here.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
There we go. Now you're you're not the same coloring again.
We're back.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Well, I guess I love talking to guests who are
who are moving forward, moving upwards and onwards. And I
like having him back on the show. He was on
the show before. We're going to monitor his progress, uh
in this business and this wacky business that you call entertainment.
And also because the person he's he's one of those
folks likes to give back al zone and so all

(00:41):
of this is me so much for we can find
out he's been up to. Last night he talked to
me he had an injury he was be covering from.
And I mean just in his name, I just I always,
I just feel uplifted already.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
It's Timothy, I believe Lamont.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
Hello friend, Hey, mister mister Lots, is a present pleasure
to be on your show. I'm appreciating for you having
me again. Man, it's a it's a blessing.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Yeah, Well please.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
What do you saying how you doing.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
You know, I'm hanging in there. I thought I had
COVID and I don't. I took a test to you guys,
and it came back negative. I had just a regular
old fashioned cold. I never get sick, like I never
get sick. And I was like, well, I don't feel
right and I feel really achy, and because I just
don't get sick, the last time I got sick was
COVID a year and a half ago. So I was like,

(01:31):
let me just test it. And it's negative, folks. So
I'm feeling good. So I'm just I'm doing all my
emergency and my water and doing all that. And they say,
feed the cold. I'm feeding the cold and we're gonna
be better. So I'm doing okay today. I'm happy to
be here with you.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
Wonderful. That's wonderful.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Yeah, so good. So number one except folks who are listening.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
I actually want to add this is this is totally
off script because I had nothing I was gonna plan
on this. He's wearing his shirts, you guys off camera.
That's Bruce Lee, and Bruce Lee is uh. He's a legend,
obviously there. He is a legend. I just want to
ask you. What is it about Bruce Lee that you like?

Speaker 4 (02:10):
I feel like him and I we have a lot
in common. Uh. He's he's one that takes care of himself.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
He's one of a dreamer, all about pursuing the dream
and being being still understanding. You know, his body is
water made of water and uh, and it's at our
job to protect it and protect our kingdom. So that's
that's a lot of Bruce Lee that resonates with me.

(02:38):
He's just a He's a fantastic human being man. He
died unfortunately and unfortunate death. But uh, a person like
Bruce Lee is a is a someone that I model,
ro model and looked up to.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
I read a book on water and our bodies.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
You bring that up because folks, where you know you
always hit the whole thing is school. We're seventy percent water,
like you know, like what you don't know what that means?
Read this book though, it's it really goes into the
molecular structures and just also our our mental structure and
what that really really means. So it's funny you brought
that up because I did this book with I've kept

(03:20):
the favorit book and I know you're gonna bring that up,
so folks, I'll find a book I posted on the website.
Everything I'll posted up there, but it's a great book
on water and how and why we should drink water
and why, you know everything. Because as I'm saying, I
haven't been feeling it a day last couple of days.
But I feel like I'm getting better faster because I
drink lots of water, and there's certain types of water

(03:41):
that looks for you to relate.

Speaker 4 (03:45):
Yes, correct, correct, very correct.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
You're in You're in Kentucky. So how's the water there
in general?

Speaker 4 (03:54):
Right now?

Speaker 3 (03:55):
It's raining really heavy. It's I think for the next
few days it will will rain a lot. The I
think the water here in Louisville, Kentucky, they say it's fine,
But I'm not one that loves to consume a lot
of the water from a faucet. I like to drink like,

(04:16):
not not purified water, but the water that is alkaline.
So water, water does the body good. That's that's the truth.
That's the true fact. So but the importance, all water
doesn't taste the same, and every water isn't as clean

(04:37):
as they market it.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
So yes, I'm actually eight hundred years old. I drink water.
Let's say, yeah, me and Frederick exactly, But that's not water.
Take water. I mean, I think I mean se kind
of being semi serious, but yeah, I think water has

(05:02):
helped me, Odie has helped my skin and organ function.
And just like just flushing stuff out, we put more
stuff in our bodies. Water is the purest form. We
can't drink either. We have to have to have bottle water.
Our water is horrible out here. That's a shame. It's
a shame because I'm by the beach, I'm surrounded by
water and I can't drink it, you know.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
So I get the outline water too, and so and so. Yeah,
we love that.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
So yes, we we're I come from a family of
water drinkers. We all drink water. We're all in our
early thousands, look good, all the great, Yeah exactly that
back then, Harriet Tubman. We're all together. It's great. But
so we have to deal. Last time we speaking of health.

(05:48):
It is the great way to Seguay in health. Last
time we were talking to you, you were recovering from
an injury. So how are you, how are you feeling?
How are you doing physically?

Speaker 4 (05:58):
And I have my days, especially on this rainy day,
which is awkward. Man.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
What they say is true, Like the pains are they
come and go when it's the weather's bad. And then
if have to move it around all the time and
get that proper blood float flowing when it's really achey,
it's important for me to massage, take a do the
proper massages, get the point movie whatever. If it has

(06:28):
any inflammation, move it towards my heart. Just just be
careful and stay away from things that I used to do.
I don't play basketball anymore. Just my normal daily app
this activity is unchanged, and it's important to to stay
you know, stay focused on what the things that can't

(06:48):
harm me.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
So what are you doing these days? They can't harm me?

Speaker 1 (06:52):
So home and listening like yeah, so what do you what?
A couple of examples of the things that you're doing that's.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
Oh, I have a.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
I have a good friend that is a physical therapist.
He's taught me a lot of stretches. I do a
lot of stretches at home. I do a lot of
stretches with the stretches, stretching vans, a lot of like
sort of sort of like yoga, A lot of lunges, uh,
squats without weights and just things of that nature. I

(07:23):
do a lot of push ups every I do a
lot of things without weights now. But the key is
to always, you know, do the proper movement. Like I
learned some stuff from Boostley as well as I like
the kickbox too. That's one thing I love. But it's
going to.

Speaker 4 (07:40):
Slow down however.

Speaker 3 (07:42):
But some things that I learned and to keep myself,
you know, healthy.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
Yeah, there's I ho people know if there is, and
why I ask him to voice because people out there
some things I can't move, I can't bend on it.
There's things you can do without having to bend over
her or go hearts gym. There's always any kind of
movement and stretching. Stretching apparently it's like I'm learning about
that to you how it really does make a difference.

(08:10):
And that's tie in water if you have I'm not
a I mean I'm a I'm a former nurse. I'm
not a license physical terriortion like that, but I do
know for a fact drinking water just help with joints,
does help with inside movement, and when you learn how
to stretch correctly, both those things can help you and
you do it in your chair, right, you can do it,

(08:31):
like you said, you can do it.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
And you can do yeah anyway. You can do ally
anywhere anywhere in the day.

Speaker 4 (08:39):
Yeah, you can do it anywhere.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
So for me, please, a lot of like consuming all
a lot of the wrong foods too, that that can
change your changing your diet, watching.

Speaker 4 (08:52):
What you eat for me.

Speaker 3 (08:57):
At least twelve hours a day, which it seems awkward
to some people. That doesn't understand, but it helps the
natural flow and keep my.

Speaker 4 (09:07):
Body and maintain a good way.

Speaker 3 (09:09):
And I feel good, you know, when I'm when I'm performing.
I feel good when I'm doing everything that I want to.
So like this is it's important to take care of
yourself in every way possible.

Speaker 1 (09:22):
Yeah, and it also helps within the future. See I'm
in the future. I'm ahead of him an age, and
I am realizing a lot of things I probably should
have took care of earlier that I'm dealing with them now,
and that it's a cautionary tale. It's like you start
the younger you start. You start anytime, folks, even mind,

(09:43):
you start anytime, but the younger you start that helps
avoid things later.

Speaker 4 (09:51):
Yes, sir, it is.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
I I agree with that.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
I'm I'm seeing that happen now. So take it from him,
take it from me. Just like you know what I said, stress,
learning how to stretch the correct way, learning how to
you know, just you know, how to consume certain things
that will help you. I mean, I know, I get it.
There's food out there. It tastes so good. Oh my god,

(10:16):
I mean like your hard Oh I'm saying, it's just
first of all, the food is the food is so good.
You want to slap your mama, grandma, auntie cousin that.
The butter, the gravy, the sugar, I mean, all the
just all there just just just you know anything. I mean,
there's so so much food that there is so good

(10:37):
that's just not good for you. That's why they comforts
you in a way that you know, oh no, this
is not fair. It's not fair at all. And as
Black folk, we have to really be careful because all
our food is good, we're not good for us all
the time. So you gotta find healthier choices of it.

(10:57):
You can, you can still make some things healthier and
it tastes good. But let's let's not get it twisted, folks.
Some things tastes better the bad way.

Speaker 4 (11:11):
You're not lying, man.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
You know, you know what does I'm sorry, it just does.
And you could do moderation in some things.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
But I'm just saying though, it's just it's we're laughing
on hire and joking about but it's the truth.

Speaker 2 (11:21):
I mean, this is just rely real. It is. But
you have to figure out what's more important.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
You're living a long time and healthily a long time,
or eating anything you want and just having problems over
and over again.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
So you just got to figure that out. That's very
individual twice right.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
Yes, Now you have a son, which which we we
talked about, and I want to ask you, since you've
been trying to get back on your feet again and
it's the last injury and all that stuff, what part.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
Does he play in that?

Speaker 4 (11:52):
Like?

Speaker 1 (11:53):
Is it you feel like I'm his dad, he needs me.
I gotta get back, you know, Like, what part does
he play in that?

Speaker 2 (11:58):
For you? For getting better?

Speaker 3 (12:00):
This this this time period has been so tough for
the both of us. It's been a sacrifice because I
had to leave and go to Baltimore for at least
six seven months and now I'm back, but I'm still
I'm struggling to get back financially because I lost a
really good job that I had. But things are Uh,

(12:21):
it's it's it's finding its flow because I'm saying in it,
I'm not no matter what, and.

Speaker 4 (12:29):
I'm still finding time.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
To to see my son, and uh, that's that's just
the way life is. No matter whether some obstacles, we are
going to stand in your way, but that's how you
respond to it. And I'm always going to respond the
best way possible because I'm a thinker.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
How how do you here's an example of how you
do stay? How do you still believes? Example for that, it's.

Speaker 3 (13:00):
It's really so like you remain hopeful regardless. That's that's
something that life Lessons has Lessons has taught me. It's
the it's the past, the things that I've been through
in the past, like losing my mom, losing my father,
losing a job. It's the history of the heartfelt, the pain,

(13:25):
and that that's taught me how to to navigate moving forward,
especially with what's going on right now.

Speaker 4 (13:34):
And that's where my focus is.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
Really locked in on this, this music and where I
can take it. I feel like good, great things are
going to happen. It's just all about you know, staying
in the fight no matter what.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
So that's a great segue into that. So okay, so
you've been getting better, getting better, get back game. We
activated back in Kentucky and all that you have been,
you've traveled, you've been getting you're getting a kind of
going on.

Speaker 2 (14:00):
What can you share with this right now? That's kind
of coming up for you? What's going on? What's going on?

Speaker 4 (14:07):
So I'm signed to a few sink agencies.

Speaker 3 (14:10):
One is based out in California, Los Angeles, Californias. They're
Imaginary Friends. One of their biggest clients is Young and
Restless and the Funniest Home World Funniest Home Videos. So
I'm signed with them. I'm signed with World Few Fusion
that it's a non exclusive deal and they like one
of my songs that had recorded with Coca Cola and

(14:34):
Los Angeles, which is out of this World and that
is they like it for several reasons because the song
it fits with youth dramas, feel good manstrances, just a
lot of it has a lot.

Speaker 4 (14:51):
Of sink potential.

Speaker 3 (14:53):
So soon or later it could be on TV or
TeV or film.

Speaker 4 (15:02):
There's there's a.

Speaker 3 (15:04):
Lot it's coming coming to play because the knowledge is power.
And then I'm also want to level up and Ultimate
Sync which.

Speaker 4 (15:15):
Was in Canada.

Speaker 3 (15:17):
I went to Bank for Music and recorded some music
out there, and I've recorded some music for UH brands
that major sports brands and and it's just it's just
a phenomenal thing going on right now. And again it's
all because of one of the man upstairs, and and
then me just staying on on pace and never giving

(15:38):
up regardless of what I'm going through.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
Well, that's explaining to people a little bit. What are
what are SYNC company? Like you said, you signed a
couple of these companies?

Speaker 2 (15:47):
What are they? What are what is their mission in
relation to you?

Speaker 3 (15:52):
So their mission is to get some of the songs
that are in their library of mind UH sync to
television and film and it can happen at any given time.
And I had to sign contracts of course, and I
have a music management that.

Speaker 4 (16:15):
It's like another browser.

Speaker 3 (16:17):
That I eat my catalog on for all my metadata
and my IPI the pro and a lot of that
is copyrighting your music, of course, and then writing out
all my lyrics and keeping them on Google Docs, and
I keep everything you know, stored in a safe place

(16:37):
where when it comes time that I have these opportunities
like that, I can send them to sing agencies without
them without it being a headache. And that's how they
want it. They wanted simple. Make it simple and easy
for them, and then they'll listen to your music like
last night. Well the other night, I sent my music
to a Marvel studio, the post production music director, and

(16:59):
he loved the song too, So there's potential there. So man,
I'm just I'm grateful.

Speaker 4 (17:07):
You never know what can happen, and you have to
step out and like the leap of faith. And I
know it's scary too. You're scared to.

Speaker 3 (17:17):
Talk to people that are in these you know, these
big titles, and I was, I am, but I'm not.
I want something for myself and I encourage those that
are listening to define your voice and buy and find
what you are, find your purpose.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
The thing is, folks, because you are an artist. You know,
we're artists, and you know what we create is a
piece of us. And anything we create, whether it's painting, dancing, music,
singing and whatever, it does matter.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
Way it dance.

Speaker 1 (17:48):
These shows are put out, They're a part of me.
Putting out a part of me these shows. So I
can understand where it's a little for people out there
watching this going while he did that and like, how
does that? It could be a little daunting. It's because
people are judging your work. They're looking over your work
to see what they can place it. And you're thinking,
my songs are good. I know they're good. They go everywhere,

(18:09):
but it's a specific thing and it's not but it's
nothing to do with you. So the speech, it just
gets kind of like but still you're the artist, and
it's like it's like it's my baby's I'm putting out
in for everybody. That must be a little it must
be a little scary.

Speaker 4 (18:24):
It is.

Speaker 2 (18:25):
It is.

Speaker 3 (18:25):
So I had a listening in Nashville like a week
or a week or two ago and the lions Gate,
the head of lions Gate Music of music, was listening
to my song and it felt scary. But I was like,
I deserve this. I'm here for a reason and they
chose my song for a reason. So when whenever you

(18:46):
put everything into your music, like especially quality, quality is everything.
Quality is your budget. So when you put the best
quality out there, and then you put the best vocals
on it. Nothing can pass you up. You just give
it your best shot. That's what I do. I agree
with that.

Speaker 1 (19:03):
That's just such a that's a good thing, but just
fructure because this connection connections. It's like, you know, we're
trying to help you connect you if you have dreams
out there and doesn't matter where you're from, where you're
at nowadays, because now we have the world's small, the Internet,
the world small. That he is going out there and
pursuing this stuff he got with these agencies, they're actually

(19:24):
shopping his work. He's being listened to by you know,
like he just said, he just dropped Marvel Lions, like
these are things like these are names. You know, it's
possible for you. I work at different networks also and
I and it's so it's funny when I have a
meeting with CBS or Sony or you know, for a show,
they will be a do or whatever. It's like, yeah, I

(19:45):
told you the pr people I work, it's like it's
at first you kind of like, oh my god, do
I belong here? And it's like, no, we do belong here,
belongs here, we belong here. We put something out that
they clearly thought about something about.

Speaker 3 (19:58):
It, right, sir, that's correct, it correct, man, Please go ahead.
I just received so I pitched one of my I
pitched my story to a magazine and they have an
audience over one hundred k readers and here in Kentucky,
and they love my story. And we're going to do

(20:19):
a follow up on October twenty first, the week of
October twenty first, and then that magazine may get published
late in January. So I wanted to mention that I'm
just grateful.

Speaker 4 (20:32):
That's that's what that was for.

Speaker 3 (20:34):
Just grace, thankful to God, you know, because you never
know what can happen until you take those steps, just
reach out, take a chance.

Speaker 1 (20:48):
If you could design your future, what do you want
to look like?

Speaker 2 (20:56):
Man?

Speaker 3 (20:57):
I just want peace. I want my life to be peaceful.
I want my my son's future too. He am not
to have anything to worry about. But that's that's really
that's that's not possible, but his future kids and I
want to see my grandkids if he has some kids.
I want to be able to just build a solid foundation,

(21:19):
just something that I never had.

Speaker 4 (21:22):
I didn't have it with my father.

Speaker 3 (21:23):
I want to I want to be that leader, the
man that gets to smile and see his son become
a father, his son choose a career and be successful
at it. His son see a wife or to have
a wife on a home that's really successful. To me,
that's truly all are truly care about and being a

(21:44):
good person in this world.

Speaker 4 (21:45):
That's that's peace.

Speaker 1 (21:47):
I as a grandfather myself, who did he a father
really either?

Speaker 2 (21:52):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (21:53):
I was able to be the father I didn't have,
So I think you're doing the same thing. You're being
a father you didn't really have. And I'm the grandfather
really now, So I'm like, I'm having a great I
love my grandkids. I feel old, but other than that,
I love having my grandkids. I never thought I had
grandkids as young, but I'm happy to have them. And
it's like it's it's and I don't have sons, have daughters,

(22:15):
so watching them parent, but I have grandsons now, so
it's kind of like I get to actually have some
of that because I always I miss I wish I
had a son.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
I do.

Speaker 1 (22:23):
I wish I had a son. Didn't happen, But I
am not doing it now, folks. Now I'm done raising children.
I'm done, But I thank you, But I but I do.
It's one of the things I wish I had had
a son, and if I have one out there just
kidding as I as I say that's when I walked
through the door, I'm like, who are you?

Speaker 2 (22:43):
It could happened. I had a wild youth, could happen.
But so I admire that.

Speaker 1 (22:49):
So I always think, if you're a dad watching your son,
and it's a whole lineence thing, I.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
Just think it's kind of cool.

Speaker 1 (22:56):
But I get id, folks. I can tell you at home,
he is being there for a son, which is can
and so and to meet his son. And he's a
cute little kid, and so he's got he's already a learner.
He likes to learn. And that's right there. Education can't
take it away from us. They always said that, right,
They've always said that, as long as we know, you
can't take that away from us.

Speaker 4 (23:17):
Yes, sir, yes, sir see. That's that's what I said
the other day.

Speaker 3 (23:21):
If I never like, I didn't have to get his
the Ma Marvel Guy's credential.

Speaker 4 (23:27):
I didn't need that.

Speaker 3 (23:28):
All I wanted was knowledge. That's all I wanted. Because
of the rest, the rest will come. You give me
ten minutes of knowledge. I'll do the rest.

Speaker 1 (23:37):
I get you. I'm the same kind of person. I'm like,
just get me in the room. We'll figure it all
out right, And.

Speaker 2 (23:42):
I want so.

Speaker 1 (23:43):
You're a sponge shoot, You're like your every situation and
you're like gathering information and bring it in here.

Speaker 4 (23:49):
Right.

Speaker 2 (23:49):
That's how we did. You got to take that we
are doing.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
The fact that you're in rooms with name brands, Coca
Cola lies here, whatever, that is a blessing. There are
folks out there who can who never get there, who
never get there for whatever reasons, never get there. You're
very fortunate. I'm very fortunate that we get to get
to We get to get there. We can't forget that,

(24:15):
not at all. Because this is tough. This business makes
you doubt yourself. It makes like what's going on?

Speaker 2 (24:21):
Why?

Speaker 1 (24:22):
But the fact that you're in certain rooms already, that's good.
That's a great thing. And so folks listening to this
and watching this, I want you to know that it's
it's possible, It's totally possible. Can you name I believe
can you name three things? Three three things like you
can write count three things.

Speaker 2 (24:43):
That you feel are essential in working hard, in this business.

Speaker 3 (24:52):
Man, dedication, okay, remaining motivated, innovation, and.

Speaker 4 (25:02):
Being a listener.

Speaker 1 (25:04):
M hmm. I like it when to shut up and
listen seriously a listener, I I don't I know when
to shut the f up. There are people who are
smart than I am, and people who know what I said.
I said, I listen, sure, tell me, please tell me
everything I said the earlier. Today, someone gives your advice

(25:26):
on something, I was like, I don't get I don't
get upset. Please can you say I'm slower please? I
can write that down, you know, but I don't. I
always take stuff in the education never stops. It should
never stop.

Speaker 2 (25:38):
Never. Yes, So I'm gonna go with you. And when
and I.

Speaker 1 (25:42):
Think when I says listen, he's meaning like listen with everything,
not just your ears, like listening with your hearts, right,
listen with your mind, listen with your soul. I'm sure
you mean that's what you're talking about, like listening.

Speaker 3 (25:58):
That's that's it, that is that's what I mean. But
I mean sometimes you really have to sit still because
we've be in such a hurry to get where we
want to be, and that that's just it doesn't work
that way unfortunately, and there's no shortcuts.

Speaker 2 (26:13):
Okay, can you can you please?

Speaker 1 (26:16):
I believe say that one more time for the folks
in the back well people back here there they're saying
to get beef.

Speaker 3 (26:23):
There are no shortcuts in anything that we do or pursue.

Speaker 2 (26:28):
None, folks, listen to that, please.

Speaker 1 (26:33):
I've had so many mentees get upset and then they
try shortcuts and it always bites them in the behind.

Speaker 2 (26:39):
There is no true shortcut, kids at all.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
And my and my addition to what to that would
be continue working on your stuff, your craft, whatever it is,
so you're always ready. Say luck favorites are prepared. Just
think it's luck. That's the whole point that what they
mean is you don't have to get ready if you

(27:04):
stay ready. Basically, luck favors are prepared. It's more about
the prepared part. So I believe that. I believe it
is always ready. You're ready, aren't you? You're ready for stuff?

Speaker 4 (27:17):
Yes, sir, I am, I am.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
Stay ready, get ready, that's the thing. Just stay ready
and just kind of make connections like this. We've been
a connection some months ago. We were in a connection.
Keeping keeping your connections fresh. We follow each other on live.
We support each other online and they just like that
kind of stuff. So all the time. That's and that's
the thing too, is that you have to kind of
stay people's orbits and it's like make sure people know
you're around, that you're doing stuff, and it's it's it's

(27:44):
all valuable and it's not so sucking or anything. It's
it's all it's all just part of the you know
how things go. And and I know it's just with us.
I know for us it's genuine. Sometimes you've been a
gamebody who's genuine, but they like you, they're fine. Just
it's fine too. Just let them know you're still around
because people may know now and say yes later.

Speaker 4 (28:07):
Exactly.

Speaker 2 (28:09):
You know that happens, right.

Speaker 3 (28:10):
That's correct, that's correct. Like you said, I love favors
to prepare. If you prepare, be preparing, proper preparation prevents
or performance like we said this time in time out. Man,
that's that's something to drilling.

Speaker 4 (28:26):
Hey right there. Just it keeps me up at night.

Speaker 1 (28:30):
Because I think people people nowadays, I think I think
it's some of the younger generations. What is the gratification
because we get that you know you want, oh I
want this go on the phone. Here it is, I
needed I needed a COVID test this morning.

Speaker 2 (28:48):
I got it.

Speaker 1 (28:49):
I ordered that lot got here at seven in the morning,
like we're used to that. Well, it comes stuff like this.
There is no shortcust that's the thing. You can't just
skip steps. It doesn't work that way. You know, this
doesn't work that way. And that's fairy tales. That's you know,

(29:10):
that's in in movies, and that doesn't always happen. And
folks who are all safe sensations usually been working on
for years.

Speaker 4 (29:19):
Yeah, about fifteen, twenty years.

Speaker 2 (29:22):
Yeah, there's certainly a big hit.

Speaker 1 (29:24):
But these are going question, was it that movie back
in twenty or five, Like, yeah, they were around that long,
like they were working back they had they said, motivation
that they were doing it, and then.

Speaker 3 (29:38):
They experienced the hardships, the neglect, the jealousy. They experienced
so much on that road. It's a tough road, and
it can make a person in hard code and especially
when the Knights they're extremely dark, and then nobody's listening,
nobody really knows how that person feels or even.

Speaker 4 (30:04):
Checks on them. It could be. It's a tough road.
It's a tough journey. And you know, you know exactly
what I mean when I say that.

Speaker 3 (30:12):
But that part is that's the toughest part of this walk,
just having no support.

Speaker 4 (30:22):
But they come when when uh it blows.

Speaker 1 (30:26):
Oh you know that, Oh ex kills me. I have
a nice little good people. We scre each other. But
there are others I know they don'ts and and when
they see me have a success of some sorts.

Speaker 2 (30:39):
So Hi, how you doing.

Speaker 1 (30:40):
I told you it's like you were, Oh my god,
You're like okay, And luckily I know what's going on.
So I also, I don't know anyway, so I don't
I don't do sh But I was like, I don't care.
I'll I'll either tired in their face. But I get
where that comes from. Everybody wants to be everybody wants

(31:01):
to be with the sure thing. To me, the sure
thing is a person who is always on that path
and making things happen along the way.

Speaker 2 (31:12):
To me, I'll bet on that.

Speaker 1 (31:14):
I'll bet on you, I believe, before I bet on
somebody else who has what makes success?

Speaker 2 (31:18):
And that's it. Don't you think in a long, long game.
I'm thinking a long game I want to do.

Speaker 3 (31:24):
I want to just side a long game, right, thinking
a long game. Don't lose your passion for.

Speaker 4 (31:30):
Glory man, true.

Speaker 1 (31:34):
I mean I would be here for a long time,
so I understand that it will be ups and downs.
That's just how that's just how that works. But if
you can weather the storms, you know, then you're then
when when the sunshine comes the rainbows come, you're great.
You're like, okay, I'm here, I'm this is good, and
you have more stories to add to yourself. And you
as a songwriter, you have to live some life. That's

(31:56):
the whole point, right that somebody you write good songs
in the songs? Correct, Yeah, perfect life. What would you
write about.

Speaker 4 (32:06):
The story?

Speaker 2 (32:07):
Right? You gotta list some.

Speaker 1 (32:11):
Life, bad and good, sideways and all the others. You
got list of life. It's a better storyteller. I mean
that's kind of the whole point. I mean, our ancestors
went through that. Grandparents are amazing storytellers, amazing kind of stories.
My aunts stories. They listen hard, hard times, but they

(32:32):
told stories, right, And it's like that's the point. We're
here too to tell stories. Also, that's our whole you
know purpose, the purpose. Well, thanks again, we're gonna be
following you some more. When you're able to snounce a
few things specifically, we'll be happy to have you back
on again. We'll talk about them and with what's going
on there and promote that. But I just want to

(32:53):
say I'm on your court, always, always rooting for you.
I believe and I believe, so I know you're gonna
do it because I'm telling you, folks, he's got one
day he's gonna be like Grammy Winner, Oscar nominee. Whatever's
going on this Suf's gonna happen's gonnappen.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
I can see it. I can see it happening for you.
I know that, I know that you are determined to
stay the course.

Speaker 3 (33:17):
Yes, sir, thank you. I'll just put that in my
notes the other day I'm working on. Yeah, man, thank you, Yes,
thank you, mister love.

Speaker 2 (33:25):
You believe it.

Speaker 1 (33:27):
And and your son, I'm sure look at you saying
my dad is doing good. He's doing good. I would
be like that. Like you said, that's very important too.
Folks have to tell you where you can follow him.
We're gonna follow what he's doing, his music and other
things he's doing. He's a speaker also, he just talks,
so I believe. Tell them where they can find you.

Speaker 4 (33:47):
You can find me at ibelieve dot com.

Speaker 3 (33:49):
You spell that I B E L I three ve
and all my social media platforms are spelled the same.

Speaker 4 (33:56):
Way at I Believe.

Speaker 5 (33:59):
And then my U. That's it. That's it. That yeah,
that's it. That's you said it right. That's about home
a mentor of mind because I had names different things,
and I think that this name was over here, he said,
James lot Jr.

Speaker 1 (34:17):
Make everything uniform across the board, have to search for you.
He was right, So I believe doing the right things.
It's all across the boards. I'll put it in the
description below. Of course, that's kind of thing. But I
learned the same with something everything James Loud Jr.

Speaker 2 (34:33):
Or Jail j.

Speaker 1 (34:34):
I mean, it's totally simple. So at home, take that
advice for you too. You got stuff going on. Make
it all simple so everybody just find you easily.

Speaker 2 (34:41):
You know.

Speaker 1 (34:41):
The only think people searching for you people like two clicks,
they're done, They're done.

Speaker 4 (34:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (34:50):
Extra connections is on Facebook.

Speaker 2 (34:53):
It is.

Speaker 1 (34:54):
And I'm everywhere at James again, at James Jr. I
mean I'm everywhere. So at jail J Media of course
we were here on Wednesdays, we are talking to people
like him about their careers and what's going on in
their lives and how they make connections. And that's I
think it's folks out there. If you know someone who's
out there working hard and trying to get a product

(35:15):
out there that that's going to help people or help it,
let me know. I'm always I'm always open to other
guests on the show that I don't know about. That's
kind of the whole point of the show. I started
the show nine years ago. It's all about connecting with
people who are doing positive things. That's all I want
to hear about. Please send them to me. We need
positivity these days. I need it, You need it, He

(35:37):
needs it, We all need it. Send him to me
and everyone, have a great week. See you next time.

The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
