Speaker 1 (00:33):
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud
of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and
the sin that so easily entangles. Let us run with
perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes

(00:56):
on Jesus, the pioneer and perfector of faith, for the
joy said before him, he endured the cross, scorning its shame,
and sat down at the right hand of the throne

(01:18):
of God. Consider him who endured the opposition from sinners,
so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Okay,

(01:40):
So I sometimes spend way too much time scouring the
internet and looking at social media, I admit that. But
I'm looking for positive messages people who were sharing positive

(02:02):
thoughts and so that I can share some of those
messages to you through this particular podcast. This podcast that
is about faith. It's called faith, Love and Trust for
for reason that through faith faith that there is love

(02:25):
in our world, that God has put that love there,
and that we trust that faith and we trust in
God to deliver us what it is that we need,
the protection, the the things that we need for our lives,

(02:46):
and that He provides us with the path and purpose
that we're supposed to actually follow. So I find this
this message, and this message going to kind of paraphrase this, Uh,
it was from a politician, uh, a politician in Canada

(03:08):
who was the leader of the NDP party. But this
isn't a political thing. This is a human thing that
he actually posted. He posted this while he was actually
tying his zeke turbine and explaining this because it because

(03:33):
the the saying the word that that that he used, uh,
which I can't really say myself, is something that is
very deep into the uh Zeke traditions. But just because
it's zeke doesn't mean that we as Christians shouldn't use it,

(03:55):
because you know, God places messages of hope and learning
in every place possible, and maybe in some places that
we think are impossible, but God believes they're possible. Remember
that every place said he believes it is possible, not

(04:17):
necessarily what we might think. Okay, So he is telling
the story while he's wrapping the turbine and tying it
up about in his childhood that his mother used to
use a term that talked about perseverance and happiness within

(04:41):
that perseverance, and he used the term one day and
his mother asked him. He said, he said, well, what
does it mean? And he thought that it just meant
that you were having this great day and that he
was only looking at the surface of what this term means.

(05:04):
But there was a much more hidden meaning that he
didn't understand as a child, but he came to understand
as a man or an adult. Shall we say that,
and that's what we're going to discuss the person happiness
within the perseverance. So happiness one thing that I have

(05:28):
discussed before in previous episodes and sermons, that happiness is
something that is that God placed deep inside of us.
It isn't something that we're looking for outwardly. It is
something that we can only find if we look inside
of ourselves because that's where God placed it. Happiness is

(05:53):
inside of us, not an external thing. Leading back to
the title of this podcast, there is a reason for that,
because if you put your faith, love, and trust in
the right things inside of you, you will find that
happiness because God put it there for us to find it.

(06:18):
He didn't put it in an external place. He put
it in an internal place for us to find it
so that we could always carry it around with us.
And getting back to the point of this politician foreigner
NDP leader's story. His mother went on to explain that

(06:41):
it was no matter what was happening in the day,
that you would remain happy, that you would remain content
as a person, as a being, as a living soul,
because you have this de seated happiness it is inside

(07:04):
of you, no matter what you had to contend with,
no matter what the perseverance that you had to go
through through today, because we all go through that perseverance
as adults. We all find perseverance, we all find things
that it rather is a built collector calling a boss

(07:29):
asking what asking you for what may be the impossible,
which we'll get back to that again, because obviously your
boss sees something that is possible. It's just you have
to come around to maybe finding it, or maybe your
boss is totally unreasonable and the impossible. It is truly

(07:51):
the impossible, because you're you're the trained professional, and you
know what can be done and what can't be done. Yeah,
something of death or tragedy in the family. There's always
something that may not have gone exactly your way, even

(08:13):
if it's something it's trivial. And here's where the whole
point of this lies something that is trivial, being stuck
in traffic. If you find that true happiness and you

(08:33):
follow what this whole example of what is the one
of the philosophies in the Zeke beliefs, If you follow
that something that is trivial, like being stuck in traffic. Okay,
you you're going to be late for work. Yeah, that's

(08:56):
gonna happen. Your boss is gonna say to you, well,
you know, maybe you should have just left five minutes
earlier and you would have avoided the traffic. They could
be true, that could be there may not be true.
But while you're sitting there in traffic imminently late, instead

(09:21):
of stressing about it and worrying about Oh my god,
I could lose my job, I could do this is
gonna happen. I'm not gonna be able to pay my bills.
I'm gonna get my paid doctor. Instead of worrying about it,
your mind goes to a different place, a place that

(09:43):
has solutions instead of worries your mind. And see, this
is the whole point of faith in God. If you
truly have faith in God, he will help you find
a happy place inside of you, and that comfort place
inside of you, that you will be able to find

(10:06):
the solutions that by the time you get to work
and you have had the consequence of being late because
of the trivial thing of wait being late for work,
that's still kind of trivial. That isn't a big a

(10:29):
big thing. Losing your job may not be a big thing.
It just depends on how you're looking at it, and
if you're looking at it. Because you have this deep
stated happiness and resistance to the perseverance, and you have

(10:53):
that faith in God that things are going to always
work out no matter what. The lesson is that you
have to learn that particular day. He's got your back.
God has your back. That's the whole point. That is
the whole point with the whole Zeke thing is you

(11:14):
understand you you have this deep sea to happiness, this
deep sea of faith because God has your back. That's
the whole point is God has your back. Therefore it
will all work out. You're going to live forward, You're
going to keep breathing, your heart's going to keep beating,

(11:37):
your mind's gonna keep working, your soul is going to
still be active in the in the universe. Even though
you were late for work. Even though you got fired
because you were late for work, your bills still get paid.

(12:03):
You'll still have a home because it's protected by God. Now,
don't trivialize this that, oh, well it doesn't matter, blah
blah blah. Yeah it does. Actually, there are things that
actually matter because you actually have to put forth the
work and show God that you're putting forth this faith.

(12:28):
You can't just say, well, I'm going to be late
in so what if I got fired that and you
put no effort into your own life, put no effort
into your own perseverance, you put no effort into moving
forward with your life if you do. If you don't
put the work in, then your message is to God

(12:53):
isn't one of faith, love and trust. Your message to
God is something else. When your message to God is faith,
love and trust that you're putting the work in. You're
putting in in the perseverance, you're putting in looking and
working towards and clearing that path for your own purpose,

(13:16):
that purpose that serves God, that purpose that serves humanity,
the purpose it serves the universe in general. So it
isn't just I put in trivial amounts of work. You

(13:38):
have to go all in with this. It has to
become who you are, that that thing that is part
of you. And people who live that way find great
rewards in the end, because the more faith, love and

(14:04):
trust that you put in, the stronger that you find
the happy zone that is buried inside of you. The
more you can persevere, the more you find your path,
the more people you will impact, the more people who
see that this is a great person, the more God

(14:28):
sees that you're a great being, and you start receiving
more and more of his miracles and rewards. So there's
a meaning behind faith, love and trust, and it is
a lifestyle that goes along with faith, love and trust.

(14:56):
Why don't we pray about this? Lord, Help us to
follow your faith, the trust that you are with us
every step of the way. Help us to ask for
your hand and your guidance for every step that we
take during the course of every day. Help us to

(15:18):
learn what our purpose is so that we can live
the life that we're supposed to. Help us to follow
in those footsteps that Jesus put forth for us as
he carried across We each have our own cross. Help

(15:40):
us to carry it. Help us to endure that cross
the same as Jesus did, so that we can find
our way through the clouds, that we can throw off
those things to hinder us and find ourselves detangled from
the sins and temptations of the world.
