Speaker 1 (00:22):
Red Conn Studios proudly resents Family Role Podcast, a tabletop
role playing game experience starring Alexandria Lexi bows as held
the Might they Hex played Warlock posing as this Strong,

(00:53):
Arthur Williams has Albion Bond's a Tiefling Monk or A
Williams starring as no Dutch Bunny, a Harengon Sharpshire and
Deem Boats appearing as born and ork a luckless.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
And was honor and the Deem of the Grid. One thing,

(02:12):
and it's not recorded on your character sheet because I
could not find a place to record it, is that
you all have a special ability. For example, Noel can sharpshoot,
So if you want to shoot something out of the
sky or try to shoot like an arrow out of
the sky that's attacking you, you can sacrifice your turn

(02:35):
to do that. Obviously, the smaller the object is, the
harder it is for you to sharpshoot. You can also
make roles to do trick shots like I'm gonna bounce
this off that in this because that was your role
in the circus was a circus sharpshooter. All these characters
come from the Ravenswood Circus so they all have tricks,

(02:57):
they play, they're all performers to some extent. Grilled, you
have a light and cantrip that you can cast on
anything to make it easier to lift. Now, it won't
lighten everything. You won't be able to lift a dragon.
And if you cast it on living creatures, they get
a saving throat. And it's a fairly easy spell to

(03:18):
resist because it's a cantrip and not a full on spell.
That is her special. And then Arthur, your special is
the ability to deflect or catch missiles. Obviously, catching is
harder than deflecting. So if you want to take an
action like while people fire arrows at you, you've got

(03:41):
two hands, so you can take out two arrows that
are fired at you by nice, So that is your special.
You can also juggle, but that doesn't require a role.
That's just you deciding to look.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
I mean it's Arthur. He always looks cool.

Speaker 4 (03:57):
I also look on artistic. Look at me, I've got
paint all over the place.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
Well you you did paint up your mask. Mask. You're
a very expensive mask to me. I didn't earn the money.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
Do you want to share likes? Dice or I have
purple purple and blue dice in here.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
We're good. She's got several sets in this box that
she's got out. I'm fine, we'll try there. So if
I needed to get mine, I'm literally are right there.
But we're good. Damn We're going to share what she's
got here. No worry, I'm gonna put you back.

Speaker 5 (04:29):
No, okay, Actually I'm gona go go slock cry, Okay,
we're here.

Speaker 6 (04:35):
Nope.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
I'm just trying to find the character I created to
help you all out. Ordan Rurk is a barred also
from the Ravenswood Circuit, which is all where you all
met and how you all know each other. By the way,
are we in this orgust?

Speaker 3 (04:48):
Where we is that where we start out? Or we
all walk like a human?

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Do that? No, we will cover this a little at
the beginning, but I will go ahead and tell you all. Now,
you all, I've recently left the employment of the circus,
the Ravenswood Circus as a circus ran by the feed.
So if you join it for whatever reason, you're signing
a contract for a while. Think of it like being

(05:14):
on the Davy Jones ship in uh to the Caribbean. Yes, yes,
it's an indentured servitude. Well you have both. You have
all recently earned your freedom. You've worked your contract, so
you are now free to go and do your own thing.
So you are traveling together because you know each other,
so as these adventures continue.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
Each other from the circus. But we have left the
circus at the start.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
Of this because we've done our due diligence, and you
all have skills that basically lead towards entertainment. So you
traveling around, you're not necessarily looking for adventure. You're not
necessarily not but you you have a reason to travel.
You have skills to sell at local local bars and

(06:02):
taverns and communities and things like that. So with those
simple background rules. Other than that, the world is named three.
I can actually get you all a copy of the maps.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
Yes, I saw it in the little video you can
share your screen.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
Yeah, yeah, I can. I don't know how yet, but it's.

Speaker 3 (06:25):
Down there and you're in your video options on the side.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Let me see up here we.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
Go place called Smitty's Garage, Burgers and beer. That's how
built about it. There was an ad for it.

Speaker 7 (06:42):
On my That's not where divorced fathers with no kids go.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
I did so that's that's the map of the world
of three. Yes, three is just Earth backwards. I was
trying to hurry. That's my good. No, I like it.
Now that you've seen the net, we can get started
whenever you are ready.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
Where are we starting? Where are we when we start this?

Speaker 2 (07:09):
At the beginning? When we start this, you guys are
in a bar in a little city called cobble Pot,
a barn. Cobble Pot okay, Uh, Cobble Pot is a
city that's uh mostly known for its pottery, although it
is not. At one point their pottery was world fame.

(07:30):
It is no longer quite at that level.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
Took it away.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
Well, yeah, you didn't need the map for the whole game.

Speaker 3 (07:38):
Okay, he just wanted to show us his map on
the map. The map, the map, the map.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
But yeah, now there is a section called the wild,
which is where the Fay come from. And Ravenswood was
a Fay circus, so you're all a bit familiar with
the wild. But the wild is a dangerous place too,
so yeah, well it sounds wild. With that that being
out of the way, we can record and start playing.

(08:07):
If we haven't already started recording.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
I've been recording this whole time, so you can cut
off whatever you need to cut off.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
Cool, alrighty, Then any questions before we get started, that's
not a genuine question. I'll be on grilleda Noel. Any questions, No,
I think I'm good.

Speaker 3 (08:24):
I just need to know where we're starting.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
Well, you're in the country of a bar in the
town of cobble Plat, where there are lots that have
been cobbled.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
There are lots that have been cobbled with something one
did to shoot.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
Originally was but fair use has brought it out as
a thing that people do when they work, that put
things together. Hence a cobbler is just a put together
as opposed to a pie. Although I did see a
pie yesterday that was like lots of mini pie inside

(09:00):
a big pie. So I was intrigued by that because
they had apple, which I will eat, but they also
had strawberry and cherry which I won't. Now, cabbo Pot
is not actually a city on its on its own.
It is a city, a crumbling artisan quarter set in
a larger city. The larger city is the city of Scythim,

(09:23):
and it's Scythim is a bustling city cobble Pot is
really more this smaller artistic quarter or used to be.
Like I said, uh, their pottery has fallen off in
recent years.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
Our child's in here trying to gasp me. Don't mind
me if I fall over.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
Suddenly, let's see quit farting. Once famed for its master
potters and enchanted glaze work, cobble Pot is now a
shadow of its former self. Kilns like cold alleys are
choked with ash, and whispers of the local hands Guild

(10:03):
echo through the soot. Now the hands Guild, I'm sorry.

Speaker 3 (10:06):
The hands like hands.

Speaker 2 (10:09):
Yes, the hands make you. Yeah, that's where it's like
the local thieves Guild. Yeah, although a bit darker of
a reputation. All are at the Kilnmouth Tavern, tired by
Tessa Clay, who is a retired bard to perform at

(10:30):
said tavern, and the crowds are let's say, difficult.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
It's not exactly like while we're from a circus, normal
tavern performances tend to be like singing and dancing, And
I'm not necessarily sure that something my character might do.
I guess I could probably dance a little. I'm I
believe I am agile and fluffy.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
Oh you are agile and very fluffy, and but you're
also a seven foot tall answer from orphic rabbit with pistols.
And no, your characters do not sing or dance. They
all have their own things that they do. Yeah, you
know your character is a sharpshooter. Arthur encourages the audience

(11:15):
to throw things that she then catches or throws back.
And Lexi lifts great weights, and her weights are all
either wax weights that have been so like her thousand
pounds barbell isn't a is a barber wax barbell that
just says a thousand on the end so that she
can In other.

Speaker 3 (11:36):
Words, were Charlatan's is what you're telling me she is.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
But she's also a hex blade warlock, which has its
own unique abilities.

Speaker 3 (11:46):
One would assume, yes, just the name is cool. So yeah,
Anthony has really crappy timing. I'm sorry for all the
noises outside.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
Who is Anthony? The dude who knows that sounds like
a weird horror thing.

Speaker 3 (12:00):
The dude that is the exact same time was creepy.

Speaker 6 (12:04):
It is he.

Speaker 2 (12:05):
The dude who moves is hard. The dude who moves there.

Speaker 3 (12:09):
Okay, so very very nice Alexandria, Madeline Bo's what are
you doing in that darned kitchen? Child has been bouncing
off the walls to role play all day long. We
sit down to try to start to role playing.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
What did you do?

Speaker 3 (12:24):
Jess? Across the house? Get nice water?

Speaker 2 (12:26):
And your your buddy Albion who has a twinkle in
his high in his eye and a larceno his heart,
which is the NPC I am playing. I will not
always play him, but I felt you might need the
extra assistance. Now, going forward, I hope to have guests
on from other podcasts to join us to play characters.

(12:51):
So yeah, going forward, I hope that to be the case.
Right now, I don't have any in the in the pipe,
so to speak, but just like imagine Brenda playing somebody
you know, that would be so cool anyway.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
Never yeah, So.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
Now your uncle Danny has expressed interest, but as busy
as he's been with his writing and other stuff, I
wouldn't know when he could join us for sure. Yeah,
but anyway, point being be ready for guests. Also, one
other thing for the listeners to know is we will
be alternating back and forth between this campaign, the World

(13:30):
of Three and Lore for the pages, which I'm not
sure yet if Lexi will be a part of or not.
Some of the stuff in there is fairly adult. It
may be a case by case situation going forward where
sometimes she's included and sometimes she's The DMS help her
to keep her on the podcast. But yeah, so going forward,

(13:53):
it will not always be D and D just happens
to be today. Now we are going to break the
into our long episodes, so we may hit a point
where we say goodbye, like I decide, oh, this is
a great place to end, and so we'll do that,
and then we will not We'll just go on and play.

(14:16):
But that's just a signal, a signal for the listeners
to wait for next week's episode. So that being said,
any questions before we start other than you know, alrighty.

Speaker 5 (14:28):
Ready to start, Ready to start with ice again?

Speaker 3 (14:36):
We're good?

Speaker 2 (14:36):
Okay. So you are performing at the Broken Kiln Tavern
run by Tessa Clay. Like I said, the crowds are
not great. There are some who are there to see
the show, that's for sure, but it's just that well,
it's not even that it's a tavern. Taverns in in
this world are places where entertainment can happen, but it's

(14:59):
it's just they no longer have the civic pride they
once did. And I don't know if you've been to
a place where they no longer have pride, and like
we're the place where pottery happens. But it's all sort
of everybody's sort of states I think at this point, right, Okay,
then you know exactly what I'm going for here. Anyway,
So as you we.

Speaker 3 (15:20):
All agree that there's black and pride.

Speaker 2 (15:23):
As you have come off stage, well, as Reordan has
come off stage, because since he is the barred and
the singer and dancer, he sort of wraps the show up, hey,
as he should. So as he comes off stage, you
all are gathered at a table nearby the stage. Tessa

(15:47):
comes by. She has long red hair into natural curls.
She's the curly haired, redheaded girl from Snoopy or something anyway,
it doesn't matter, yeah, and she brings you all drinks
whatever you tend to drink, probably beer for the for
for for Noel, certainly, well they have beer.

Speaker 3 (16:11):
Drink beer, okay, so ale me for.

Speaker 7 (16:18):
What was that?

Speaker 2 (16:19):
Or I'll beyond you drink that fine wine? I think
fine wine. She has that.

Speaker 3 (16:27):
Chocolate milk.

Speaker 2 (16:28):
I was gonna say, Grelda gets Grelda gets an ice
cream float.

Speaker 5 (16:32):
That's what, Yeah, I would get that.

Speaker 2 (16:35):
It sounds good because they like sweet.

Speaker 5 (16:38):
So yeah.

Speaker 2 (16:39):
So as you all are sitting enjoying your drinks, Tessa
comes in and pulls up a seat next to you.
She sets down a small bag. It has thirteen gold
in it. Not a lot for your two days of performance,
but better than nothing.

Speaker 3 (16:56):
Silver.

Speaker 2 (16:58):
Yeah, there's forever and gold.

Speaker 3 (17:00):
That is stinky.

Speaker 6 (17:03):
They're coming for us. We're under attacked by the sponsors.
We'll be right back as soon as we fight them off.
Your cords. No, back to the show.

Speaker 2 (17:19):
You worked in a circus. You guys are used to
pooling money for things. Sure. The only person who ever
concluded though.

Speaker 3 (17:26):
That makes it a little better from importance included.

Speaker 2 (17:28):
So yeah, anyway, Tessa's like, you all do good work.
I am sorry that my Taverns days are not as
lucrative as they once were, but I might be able
to offer you a little more money. It would require you, however,
to take on a slightly dangerous task.

Speaker 3 (17:48):
Dangerous performing that we can do.

Speaker 4 (17:50):
I mean, I can deal with fire.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
You've seen that this would be a little more dangerous
than performing. Oh oh, we gotta go on Life's and adventure.
Small one below the city there is what remains of
what we used to call the Shard Market. It is
where the finest potters would sell the most beautiful pottery. Unfortunately,

(18:15):
the Shard Market is no longer exists these space is
still there, but it has been taken over by the hand.

Speaker 3 (18:23):
Yeah, we've wrote about a little bit about them since
we've been in town, or I have at least.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
Well, somewhere in that market is the remnants of an
amazing kill, kill killed, an amazing killed. Okay, I mean
it is the It is the glazed fire kiln, and
if we were brought to the surface, it would do
go a long way towards restoring cobble Pot's glory such
as it was. Unfortunately, we haven't found many who would

(18:52):
be willing to stand up to the hands to go
and retrieve it.

Speaker 3 (18:58):
You think that's something we would be good at. Ivy Sri.

Speaker 5 (19:03):
I can help with some of it.

Speaker 2 (19:05):
Well, you do wear guns and are a crack shot.

Speaker 3 (19:09):
No, I mean, I'm not saying that I would have
a problem with taking out a few hands, but we
can hear, and I'm asking questions for you, as a
tavern owner, why are you approaching us like about this?

Speaker 2 (19:27):
Because I built the kilt, I created it of one
of three people who did to have it back, to
have it in use would feel good, and I am
ready to feel good and spread some of that good
feeling to my neighbor. Hopefully cobble Pot can reclaim some
of its glory. And as for your companions, we know

(19:50):
that Albion can catch things thrown at him and even
return them. We know that Fay here can lift amazing
amount ounce of weight. Surely that translates into combat somehow.
And of course, of course you have the bard reordered
and Reordan just who is leaning back, kicking back with

(20:10):
an ale just sort of like does a salute off
of his hat, like yeah, I'm cool, yeah man.

Speaker 5 (20:16):
So can we at least go back to our basic
grab some deer.

Speaker 3 (20:22):
This isn't our race, this is where we're staying currently.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
And as for how much, I would give you five
hundred goal.

Speaker 3 (20:30):
But you you know that's good for just a tavern
on to have laying around.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
I used to be a bard, if that helps. I
spent many years adventuring.

Speaker 3 (20:41):
Just saying, I don't know, what do you think?

Speaker 4 (20:46):
I mean, couldn't hurt. We always need more money, especially
while doing this job. Get away from the performance every
once in a while. I mean, come on, living the
life in danger isn't half as bad as living life
on stage and getting tomatoes thrown at you. What's the
worst that could happen?

Speaker 3 (21:07):
It was only one tomato puts your belly aching.

Speaker 4 (21:11):
I'm not belly aching. I'm just saying, five hundred gold
is a good shot. I think we should take it.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
Ill.

Speaker 3 (21:19):
I didn't have anything going on later anyway, so I'm
fine with it. Okay, we bad whatever you want.

Speaker 2 (21:26):
She says, to just tell me when you're ready, and
I will lead you to the shard market.

Speaker 5 (21:31):
I mean, I'm ready.

Speaker 3 (21:33):
I guess we would just get our stuff together and
we're finished working.

Speaker 2 (21:38):
Right, Yeah, the gig part of it is over. She
wasn't able to pay you very much, but right, that's
the life of a gig performance, right, I don't even
if she.

Speaker 3 (21:47):
Wasn't able to, just I'm still trying to. We must
be really poor negotiators because there's four of us and
we're splitting thirteen gold. That just the amount is messing
with it.

Speaker 2 (22:01):
It's essentially it's essentially a door deal. Basically, whatever people
pay to hear you, you get a percentage of.

Speaker 3 (22:09):
I got Okay, that's that's fairs. It's gonna be rolled out,
no problem. Okay, Well I would get my stuff together
and let my teammates do whatever.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
Alrighty, so is everyone ready? What LEXI marshmallows?

Speaker 8 (22:26):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (22:27):
Oh, I don't know why Grelda needs marshmallows, but okay.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
You know, if you're gonna go on, it's easy up.
She's great, she needs the sugar.

Speaker 2 (22:37):
I got nothing, alrighty. Tessa takes you out back behind
the kill Mouth Tavern where she lifts up what is
essentially a manhole cover, but it doesn't look like what
you or I would think of a manhold cover in
the modern day. It is a large iron lid that

(22:58):
has been fastened into the ground, and before she can
even lift it, she says a couple of words over it,
and you see these sigils on it light up, then fade,
and then she sticks a metal thing into these two holes,
spins it and lifts it and it looks pretty heavy,

(23:20):
but it does lead into a set of stairs going
down and it is very dark. Now for most of you,
that's not going to matter. The Fay note Glenn, Greldon, Noel,
and Albiyond all have dark vision or some form of it.

Speaker 3 (23:37):
I was gonna say, I'm pretty sure my hair gone
has the ability to see in the dark.

Speaker 2 (23:43):
So yes, the only person who will not be able
to see in total darkness is Reordan. But he's got
a lantern, so he will take up the rear with
his lantern. So as you go down this this set
of stairs and it goes down for a while. The
more the further down you go, the more humid it becomes.

(24:05):
There is ash caked on the walls. It just it
is not a pleasant experience. By the time you get
to the bottom of the staircase, you feel like you've
been walking for a really long time and the air
is packed with humidity, so sweat is breaking out on
you almost immediate. But there is a long tunnel that

(24:27):
leads forward, so you follow that and eventually it opens
up into this large chamber and you see these ripped tents,
collapsed stalls, and several broken kilns where pottery was once made.
Clearly this was the Sharp market once upon a time.

(24:50):
But because it's in an eight like, it's eight different
roads meeting at the center, creating this plaza of tents
that were they used to sell kilns and kiln supplies
and art and whatnot. Yeah, it's not gonna be an
easy choice to find where the uh yeah, no, I'm fine,

(25:11):
it's gonna be that. It's gonna be a little harder
to find where the glazsfire kiln is?

Speaker 3 (25:15):
All right? Well, and no, I goes up to one
of these collapsed stalls and takes a he's a broken
pottery and just kind of throws it into the middle
of one of the aisles, watches it break, and says,
you know.

Speaker 2 (25:34):
I already got rolled up soon you hear whistling.

Speaker 3 (25:38):
Oh no, you're welcome.

Speaker 7 (25:40):
Noel, girl, were you needed to.

Speaker 2 (25:44):
Do as you guys stand make ready, whatever you're doing.
You see a figure come into view dressed all in black.
It's a male. He's got a black hood and a
black wrap around his face and no so all you
can really see is his eyes. But he is flipping

(26:07):
a dagger up and down, which he flips it into
the air, catches it, flips it again, and he's whistling
so clearly he's not expecting trouble.

Speaker 3 (26:18):
Okay, does he see us or he's just in his
own han't yet?

Speaker 2 (26:23):
He clearly hasn't yet, he hasn't reacted to you.

Speaker 4 (26:26):
Okay, Okay, Well, this man has a dagger that he's
playing with. Yeah, just just playing with Yeah. I don't
think I want to interact with this guy.

Speaker 2 (26:35):
But why not.

Speaker 3 (26:36):
He has a dagger and he's playing with it. We
all have daggers, probably, well I do. I don't care if.
I mean, I'm a sharpshooter, so I know at least
have something.

Speaker 5 (26:51):
I mean, I haven't. I have like a little blade
of I don't know why I have all that stuff.

Speaker 3 (26:56):
Okay, And so we can only see eyes and he's
playing catch with an other.

Speaker 2 (27:02):
Yeah, what you can see his form, But the only
thing that's revealed underneath all this black clothing he's wearing
is his eyes. Gotcha.

Speaker 3 (27:11):
Well you would have to actually like go up to
him to choke him. Yeah, but I just choke him.

Speaker 4 (27:18):
We don't even know if this is a threat yet,
though I might.

Speaker 3 (27:22):
Noel tries to get closer to him sneakily, so we
need a little more stealth check.

Speaker 4 (27:30):
Stealth check.

Speaker 2 (27:32):
I was gonna say that's gonna require some D twenties
being rolled.

Speaker 3 (27:35):
Okay, I'm good with that. I can roll into twenty
over your hands.

Speaker 2 (27:40):
Do I have to roll D twenty if you're going
to sneak with them? Yes, eleven, anybody else sneaking.

Speaker 5 (27:46):
Or just I'll sneak up to him and choke him
D twenty.

Speaker 2 (27:50):
And you need to roll it and tell me what
you get, kiddo.

Speaker 4 (27:53):
We don't even know if this guy is a threat
yet under.

Speaker 2 (27:56):
Nineteen okay, yes, Grelda is able to sneak up behind him.
He does not notice Noel for quite a while. When
he does, Grelda is behind him and has her hand
on his throat. He lets the knife fall to the
ground and holds up his hands, like, don't hurt me, sir.

Speaker 3 (28:19):
What are you doing here?

Speaker 2 (28:20):
This is the home of the hands, This is where
we live, This is where we gather, This is where
we divide our loot. Why are you in our home?

Speaker 3 (28:30):
To get the kiln and get out? We're only in trouble.
Mostly well easily Grilda does, but for the most part she's.

Speaker 4 (28:37):
Well does, but she's a bit much anyway.

Speaker 5 (28:39):
If I get to a hyperbem, I thill a glass
at you.

Speaker 3 (28:43):
If you bowling Mockbrey and handed around his neck, you
already have a handle.

Speaker 5 (28:49):
I'm kind of getting crazy from the bost Fellows.

Speaker 2 (28:53):
He's like, no need to look. If you take that
passageway over there, it does lead to the Glaze Fire kiln.
But it's not unprotected.

Speaker 4 (29:05):
We don't need it to be.

Speaker 3 (29:07):
Oh why do you have it protected?

Speaker 2 (29:09):
Yeah, we don't. It was protected before we moved into
the tunnels.

Speaker 3 (29:13):
What's protecting it?

Speaker 2 (29:15):
Well, us for one. And then you just.

Speaker 3 (29:19):
Said before people live where they live.

Speaker 2 (29:22):
What why are you coming down on me? Have you
seen the economy? It's horrible. So I steal stuff doesn't
mean I should lose my life.

Speaker 3 (29:31):
You have a hand around your throat.

Speaker 4 (29:34):
I'd recommend you watch your tone with us.

Speaker 5 (29:38):
We're gonna die, won't They'm gotta do it.

Speaker 2 (29:43):
Okay he shuts up.

Speaker 3 (29:45):
All right, So wherever he pointed us, just throw out
my hands and go, okay, let's go see what's going
on with this kiln. And I had that direction.

Speaker 9 (29:54):
I I thank you, sir for your cooperation, and I
just I'm gonna head out. I'm walking with Noel to
where he pointed us to go, So can I go?

Speaker 3 (30:05):
Then my guest bye, pick outside of it. So apparently
Grell does bringing up the rear. What's going on with
our bard?

Speaker 2 (30:16):
He's actually in back because if he goes in front,
he effectively blinds you all.

Speaker 3 (30:21):
I don't know how he does seven foot tall, but whatever.

Speaker 2 (30:25):
Because he has to have a light to see you
don't fair enough, gotcha? So he doesn't blind you, but
he does stop your dark vision. And the way I
understand it, most creatures with dark vision would much prefer
to use it than light. So he is taking up
the rear to keep his light from messing with your

(30:46):
all's vision.

Speaker 4 (30:47):
Gotcha.

Speaker 2 (30:48):
And as you all are leaving, Riordan like whips him
a token, and it's just a little brass token. On
one side is a picture of Riordan's face. On the
other is Barret Extraordinary available for hire. Nice, And he
flips the guy I'd took and he's like, if you
all do get togethers and need a performer, and he

(31:11):
flashes a beaming smile. The guy drops it and is
like it runs away, going to inform somebody of your presence.

Speaker 3 (31:19):
One would imagine, thanks, by the ways, of course.

Speaker 2 (31:24):
Who are you thinking?

Speaker 3 (31:26):
No, Well, I was thanking Greda for choking the thief
and starring trouble.

Speaker 5 (31:32):
See are our noble allies, and you should do all
you can.

Speaker 10 (31:37):

and give me a little follow over on tis Yourself.
I look forward to seeing you there. Now back to
Family Plot.

Speaker 8 (32:24):
Do you ever want to be a guest and a
super cool podcast hosted by a glamorous power couple from
their cutting edge home studio on the outskirts of a
major metropolitan world hub Hollywood. Anyone us two until then,
Let's pretend one of these days you might get a DM,
a PM, an EM, or even a message in a

(32:46):
bottle inviting you to join my husband Deny for an
hour or two in hour chat lab working on solutions
for all the world's problems. And when you are invited,
there's only one response, yeah uh.

Speaker 2 (33:03):
And now to the shoe. So as you walk down
this clearly what was once a place where people would
would walk to the market. It was just a walkway.
The floor is covered in soot, the walls are covered
in soot. Clearly there was a big fire here once
upon a time.

Speaker 11 (33:22):
Huh.

Speaker 2 (33:22):
And as you are walking down the hallway, it opens
up into kind of not really a room, but it's
like two alcoves and they're they're pretty deep set, so
it gives the resemblance.

Speaker 7 (33:37):
Of a.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
Small circular room. On either side in these alcoves is
a statue of a kiln, not a working one. It
cobble pot This is back from the ancient days when
this place really was a place where pottery was highly
regarded and their mastery of it was second to none.
But also in this area are three more people dressed

(34:04):
in all black. One of them is clearly at least
half work. You can tell because you can see the
green around his eyes. And the others are humans. And now,
as opposed to this last guy who wasn't paying attention,
these three are. They begin to draw knives. They don't

(34:28):
ask questions, They just begin to press forward.

Speaker 5 (34:31):
See wait they can I run up to them and up.

Speaker 2 (34:38):
You would need a die initiative?

Speaker 3 (34:41):
Oh, trying to get killed.

Speaker 5 (34:45):
I had got that, y'all.

Speaker 4 (34:48):
No, no, you're you're gonna get us killed.

Speaker 3 (34:52):
We're rolling for initiative, yes, dijentes, sure, yes, eight. What
you just had is one?

Speaker 6 (34:59):
Two?

Speaker 3 (35:00):
Up another eight? Wait kill we will eights? They no
Arthur five?

Speaker 2 (35:10):
Okay, that's okay. You you clearly have out done that.
Oh okay, you see yeah, you see them coming. Uh.
The only one who who doesn't is Reordan, who goes
to pull his his rapier and drops it, and you
hear them cursing behind you.

Speaker 3 (35:31):
If I able to double shot, you are as.

Speaker 2 (35:34):
Long as you hit with the first shot, you can
fire a second.

Speaker 3 (35:38):
So they all have their knives. I got an eight
and she got an a. We're both of the same.

Speaker 12 (35:45):
So I pull out my two pistols and stare them
down and go and go what two nights to my
two pistols beat their knives.

Speaker 3 (35:56):
Even though there's three of them.

Speaker 2 (35:57):
I think, gotcha, and they can.

Speaker 5 (36:00):
I felt my sharp candy cane at them.

Speaker 2 (36:03):
I just have my pistols and say, Hi, I don't
know that you have a sharp candy cane. I suppose
I could allow it. I just said you could just
use your weapons. I forget what I armed you with,
but it's in your character sheet.

Speaker 4 (36:18):
All hold on, what do you have a citar?

Speaker 8 (36:24):
You have.

Speaker 3 (36:26):
Two daggers and a sickle?

Speaker 5 (36:29):
What's a sickle?

Speaker 3 (36:31):
Can you explain a sickle to the child?

Speaker 2 (36:34):
A sickle is it's a handle and it has a
curved blade on it. They used to use them to
cut wheat and things, but they're also quite handy weapons.

Speaker 5 (36:45):
Honestly.

Speaker 13 (36:46):
Yeah, I'll use that, which actually looks kind of what
candy can actually, So.

Speaker 5 (36:54):
Paint it like a candy.

Speaker 3 (36:56):
Yeah. Well, and we came from a circuit, so that
makes sense.

Speaker 5 (37:00):
Yeah, let's pretend I just painted it so candy.

Speaker 2 (37:04):
That's fine. You would need to roll the hand pick
a candy cane. You would need to roll the hit
with your candy cane. Sickle roll two hits.

Speaker 3 (37:14):
Is she rolling her D twenty to hit? Yes, seven seventeen.

Speaker 2 (37:19):
That is an easy hit. It should say on your
on your character sheet, how much damage the sickle does.
You should roll that cickle.

Speaker 3 (37:28):
One D four plus two slashing.

Speaker 2 (37:32):
So okay, deep four is the triangle.

Speaker 3 (37:39):
Triangle roll that and whatever number is straight up and
down is what you do. So two plus two so
she does four damage.

Speaker 2 (37:48):
So she slices out with her slickle. Sickle catches one
of the guards across the chest. Uh and he begins
bleeding and he takes a step back. You're just holding one,
holding your pistols on one. Yeah, Noel, Yeah, I.

Speaker 3 (38:06):
Haven't attempt anyone yet. I'm just I just said hello,
and I've got them out waiting to respond if one
of them makes a move.

Speaker 2 (38:18):
Okay, I'll beyond.

Speaker 5 (38:20):
What are you doing the group, y'all?

Speaker 7 (38:23):
What?

Speaker 4 (38:24):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (38:24):
So, so there's three of them standing in between us
and we're headed and Geralda attacked. I'm assuming the closest
one to her.

Speaker 2 (38:36):
That's what I was now bleeding.

Speaker 3 (38:38):
I am standing with my two pistols prepared. If one
of them makes a move to us, what are you doing?

Speaker 7 (38:48):
Okay? So I'm looking at weapons here, Do I like
have a spear?

Speaker 3 (38:56):
Whatever is listed in your weapons?

Speaker 4 (38:57):
That's what you've got weapons, crossbow hands, simitar? Is that sc.

Speaker 3 (39:05):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (39:06):
Okay, so I want to talk with my sentatar.

Speaker 11 (39:09):
Okay, D twenty Oh that is awful. Seven yep, that
is not a hit. Good try because okay, rolls and then.

Speaker 3 (39:22):
Yeah, all right, sometimes it's just that rolls. Baby.

Speaker 2 (39:26):
The one that got slashed in the chest pulls something
off of his belt, and I have dropped my die
that I was going to roll.

Speaker 3 (39:34):
So hang on, diamond looking one right that was like
percent huh dj it is the diamondy one that has
like percent right?

Speaker 2 (39:46):
Yeah, yeah, all.

Speaker 3 (39:48):
Right, I'm just trying to get out what I needed
in case for using for rolling.

Speaker 2 (39:55):
Okay. The one who was injured pulls something off his
belt and drops it. A cloud of smoke envelops him.
He is going to start using that to stealth. However,
since you have guns out and drawn, you can fire
upon him before you fade all with his stealth. You

(40:17):
won't if you don't fire while he's dropping the smoke bomb.

Speaker 3 (40:22):
Okay, So yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and attempt to
fire him when he goes and drops that. Seven.

Speaker 2 (40:30):
No, nope, not enough.

Speaker 3 (40:32):
Well wait, wait, wait, wait wait I was I was
rolling with my D ten. I need to roll with
the D twenty, don't I?

Speaker 2 (40:38):
Yes, D twenty would be.

Speaker 3 (40:40):
Uh sorry four?

Speaker 5 (40:42):
Oh I can't throw one of my weapons at him.

Speaker 3 (40:46):
No, you already had your turn.

Speaker 2 (40:49):
Okay. So one has has vanished in a smoke cloud.
The others have knives out, and one hurls his no
knife at Noel, and the other hurls IS knife at Grilda.
Knife hurled it. Noel misses. All right, girl, the misses.

(41:11):
The knife hurld at Noel is coming forward your shoulder.

Speaker 5 (41:15):
I have how you use your spells to block it?

Speaker 3 (41:20):
Can I use my lucky footwork to try to dodge?

Speaker 2 (41:24):
Sure?

Speaker 3 (41:25):
It says, So what do I roll for that?

Speaker 2 (41:30):
That's just a dext roll.

Speaker 3 (41:31):
Which is D twenty sixteen?

Speaker 2 (41:34):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (41:35):
Is this says MBM is thirteen.

Speaker 2 (41:38):
Okay, all right, yep. It is a close thing. But
you managed to dodge the blade.

Speaker 3 (41:47):
Nice try.

Speaker 2 (41:49):
And so there are two remaining you don't know where.

Speaker 3 (41:54):
There were three? Yeah, okay, you got it, Yes.

Speaker 2 (41:59):
Yes, one van cloud of smoke. The other two are
right still there. So uh, D twenty is for initiative.
Reordan scoops up his rape ear aha, nine men was
eleven eight okay, oh, I'll be on. What do you

(42:19):
want to do?

Speaker 3 (42:21):
Let's see.

Speaker 7 (42:23):
Okay, I'm thinking we're gonna try the crossbow this time.

Speaker 2 (42:29):
Roll two hit D twenty. Right, yep, that's enough.

Speaker 3 (42:34):
You're beneath the saturns. Would you like?

Speaker 7 (42:35):
What so that's enough?

Speaker 3 (42:38):
Yes, that's what you said. That was enough?

Speaker 7 (42:40):
Yeah, okay, I hit him.

Speaker 8 (42:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (42:43):
Well you need to roll for for damage.

Speaker 3 (42:47):
Roll to see where your damage is.

Speaker 2 (42:49):
Dice there.

Speaker 3 (42:50):
It tells you, based on what you're using, what dice
to use on the weapon. The third column over told
you tells you what type of diet mm so in
the weapon area. Whatever you used, says the name. Then
it says what you needed, what it hits, and it

(43:12):
tells you the damage. The damage is what you're It.

Speaker 4 (43:15):
Doesn't say it on here.

Speaker 2 (43:17):
I'll be right there.

Speaker 3 (43:20):
You don't have to do you don't have to do that.
I can go show him.

Speaker 2 (43:23):
Okay, I'm closer.

Speaker 3 (43:25):
All right, Hi, dad's appearing. I see them down here
where the web. This is your dice, this is so
what did you used?

Speaker 7 (43:39):
I used the crossbow.

Speaker 14 (43:42):
Okay, go back up, where's your crossbill?

Speaker 7 (43:45):
Not here said that.

Speaker 4 (43:47):
It's not over here, like they're different.

Speaker 7 (43:50):
There's you don't have a cross brow. There's dagger, dagger, spear, firebolt,
on ron stark and on arms strike. But the here
it says cross hands, scimitar, short sword, simple weapons.

Speaker 3 (44:04):
That doesn't mean you.

Speaker 4 (44:06):
Yeah, it says weapons it should have it.

Speaker 2 (44:09):
It says those are example weapons. The weapons you actually
have are in your Oh so you need.

Speaker 4 (44:15):
To use one of these, okay, well, which you've already hit.

Speaker 3 (44:20):
So just use whatever out of this that you have
and then roll.

Speaker 14 (44:24):
Based on this if that makes sense.

Speaker 4 (44:27):
I don't know what this means.

Speaker 14 (44:29):
You don't know what what means. So you're gonna use
Like if it says one D four, you're gonna use
a D four.

Speaker 7 (44:37):
If it says one D ten, you use a D
ten one D six plus four.

Speaker 14 (44:43):
So a six is a squared ice, So roll that
whatever you get an add for.

Speaker 7 (44:48):
Five plus four, that's gonna be nine.

Speaker 2 (44:52):
So and what are you using?

Speaker 4 (44:54):
Uh, I'm using spear.

Speaker 2 (44:57):
Okay, so you jabbed the guy with the spear, he collapses,
he's dead. You you have killed him in a single shot.
Grillda or wait, no, I believe it's okay, grillda, What
do you want to do? You have a sickle and

(45:18):
you have daggers. You also have magic, you can I
believe sleep is one of your spells. Maybe, but I
don't remember. Off the top of my head. I can
find out. Give me just half a second.

Speaker 5 (45:30):
Wasn't one of the spells to burn the enemy?

Speaker 2 (45:35):
You have fairy fire? But that's not an enemy burning spell.
That's uh yeah. It lights them up to make them
easier to hit, is what it does. It doesn't actually
burn them. Yes, it's a sparkly spell. Hang on, hang on,
hang on. Ooh, you have a spell called Hellish rebuke
and you have a spell called hex you do it

(45:59):
curses them? Well, then you don't even need to roll.
I just need to roll a saving throw. Unfortunately, he
made the saving throw, so he remains uncursed for now.

Speaker 3 (46:11):
Okay, two guys or we are down to one.

Speaker 2 (46:17):
We're down to one with one having escaped.

Speaker 3 (46:21):
Well, then I'm going to take a shot at our
last remaining dude, Come on, better, better roll seven?

Speaker 5 (46:30):
Have people all but other people?

Speaker 3 (46:33):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (46:34):
I miss okay, and Riordan jams his rapier forward ah,
striking the individual and doing jams him in the arm.
The guy is not dead, but he is bleeding, so
a new round of uh initiative. Riordan got an eleven eleven.

Speaker 3 (47:01):
Probably gotten eleven, also seventeen. He goes first again.

Speaker 2 (47:05):
Yep, so Albion, what do you want to do now?

Speaker 3 (47:09):
I see?

Speaker 4 (47:11):
I think I'm gonna do firebolt?

Speaker 2 (47:13):
Okay, you don't even need to roll. The HiT's magic
so failed saving throw, so go ahead and roll your damage.

Speaker 4 (47:21):
Is it this one?

Speaker 7 (47:23):
This dice?

Speaker 2 (47:24):
I don't know? Oh sorry, I was looking at the adventure,
not your pretty face.

Speaker 3 (47:29):
Hang on and it looks like a diamond.

Speaker 2 (47:31):
Yes, yes that's inside it. Yes eighty, so eight that
would be eight. But that's enough to finish him off.
So you hit him with a firebolt and he falls
to the ground.

Speaker 3 (47:47):
Nice.

Speaker 2 (47:49):
Riordan looks at you. I had him, puts his rape
your away.

Speaker 3 (47:59):
He lays there smoking, and nothing's left.

Speaker 5 (48:03):
Let's pretend I just ate the rest of our hysh fellows.

Speaker 3 (48:10):
Girls are sitting there munching on a marshmallow. You don't
have to say. Let's pretend that's you. Just say, girl
that eats her marshmallows. Okay, Okay, so we've defeated two
one got away, No two got away, so no, no.

Speaker 4 (48:32):
One got away to were dead the first.

Speaker 3 (48:35):
One go to?

Speaker 6 (48:36):
Remember how about the twisted snake?

Speaker 3 (48:41):
Oh?

Speaker 6 (48:42):
Sorry, didn't see you there. Please enjoy these words from
our sponsors. Well, all right, do you win this red
school here? Wow? The vilet is defeated. You enjoyed those
words from our sponsors. Now let's get back to the shoe.

Speaker 4 (49:04):
Yeah, so that's two two.

Speaker 3 (49:07):
We two have gotten away into it. It is so
now that they're gone, what does our surroundings look like?

Speaker 2 (49:15):
Well, again, you're in this straight shot hallway moving forward.
Now that they're gone, moving forward?

Speaker 3 (49:23):
Oh wait, wait, can we check the corpses see if
they put anything on them?

Speaker 2 (49:30):
Sure? Sure, good.

Speaker 3 (49:32):
Non goes up and just kind of searches the bodies
real quick.

Speaker 2 (49:37):
You come up with a grand with a grand total
of seven gold pieces, so that brings your you know,
your total up to twenty five hundred and twenty if
you're successful and don't die, Noel, Yes, you and those
bunny ears pick up movement behind you.

Speaker 3 (49:57):
Okay, well I flip around to look and see what's
going on behind me.

Speaker 2 (50:04):
Whatever it is, it's far enough away. You can't see it,
but myers are sticking up. But yeah, you can hear
whispers and movement behind you. Now it's a fair ways
off yet, but be careful.

Speaker 3 (50:17):
I think we've got somebody coming up on our rear.
Hunter tails run up to them, and no, there's nobody
to run up to. I just hear them far away.
But keep moving forward.

Speaker 2 (50:31):
Okay, Well about every sixty feet you past another one
of these big alco most of them so far, other
than the first, have been empty. But now you are
in this large room. It is six sided. There are

(50:51):
six sides to this room. There are the remains of
once beautiful tapestries hanging on the wall, and what's remaining
of the tapestry, so you have to assume what was
there before is kind of the same. Have these images
of people shopping and people making pots and so it

(51:15):
was market images basically images of the market, but really
well done, really nicely done, which should tell you.

Speaker 3 (51:22):
How hand painted wall murals.

Speaker 2 (51:26):
Kind of accept these are. These are tapestries, so they're
brocaded velvet silk bas relief what they call. So yeah,
but they're they're also old and tattered, so they've been
rotting for a while. Okay, Now in the center of

(51:46):
the room there is a small dais, a kind of
a shelf, kind of a table, but it's made out
of marble. And on top of that is a what
appears to be a pseudo dragon about a foot tall,
brilliant red with a with a bronze or gold stomach,

(52:10):
a tail curved around at the bottom. Almost looks like
it's actually leaking poison from the little hook on this tail.
I mean, whoever designed this went really really well.

Speaker 3 (52:25):
Oh it's interesting.

Speaker 2 (52:28):
Hm hmm.

Speaker 3 (52:29):
And what does it look like it's made out of?
You said it's a pseudo dragon? Can we tell what
it's made out of just by looking at it?

Speaker 2 (52:36):
It appears to be made out of metal, a pierced interesting.

Speaker 3 (52:45):
Other than how we And this isn't an alcohol or
it's a whole room.

Speaker 2 (52:51):
This is a whole room and it's just on a dais.

Speaker 3 (52:56):
Yes, is there is there another entrance slash exit?

Speaker 2 (53:02):
There are actually two. There's two larger doors which are
open and you can see they lead to stairs up
very like the ones you came through. And then there
is another smaller door that is shut and will not open.

Speaker 3 (53:19):
Thanks for letting us know that we won't waste our
time trying to open it.

Speaker 5 (53:23):
What if we find randall ex explosives in the world
in the room.

Speaker 3 (53:30):
So I'm pretty sure the dragon is what we're looking for,
but I'm a little concerned because it just seems a
little odd, doesn't it to anyone else?

Speaker 9 (53:43):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (53:43):
Anyone doesn't seem.

Speaker 4 (53:45):
A little odd that there's just a dragon statue here?

Speaker 2 (53:49):
Should we break it?

Speaker 3 (53:50):
Open? Break it?

Speaker 5 (53:52):
Yeah? Okay, because there might be like somebodey in there.
There might be some secret money. Does anybody agree with me?

Speaker 4 (54:02):
No?

Speaker 7 (54:03):
No.

Speaker 4 (54:04):
What I think we should do is we should take
a closer look at the dragon statue to see if
it has like any poles or switches for that door
that won't open.

Speaker 2 (54:14):
Help yoursel So I I.

Speaker 4 (54:17):
Want to go up to I want to go up
to that dragon statue, and I wanna I want to
mess with it. I want to see if there's anything metal.

Speaker 2 (54:25):
Well, the statue, as I said, appears to be made
out of metal. But as you approach it, its head
moves and it looks right at you. Oh okay, And
then it opens its mouth and it says in a
voice that sounds somewhere between like a human with with

(54:46):
with a throat issue or perhaps molten metal running. It says,
I always run but never walk. I have a bed
but never sleep. I have a mouth but never talk.
What am I rittle? River? It lowers its head and

(55:07):
the door that was locked opened.

Speaker 3 (55:10):
Nice. Yes, we'll stop playing with him. That all lot,
that won't happen. Okay, Well, Noel kind of flips her ears. Yeah,
I know, I'm just that good for the door.

Speaker 5 (55:25):
Very suspicious. Wef there's like people about to attack, and.

Speaker 4 (55:31):
We talk them back.

Speaker 3 (55:34):
The whole idea. So Noel headed for the door. Whatever
y'all are doing, I'm gonna make sure.

Speaker 5 (55:41):
The anemies come up into this room.

Speaker 3 (55:45):
Well, I already told you somebody's coming up behind us.
But Ableanne, what are you doing.

Speaker 5 (55:50):
I'm gonna protecting.

Speaker 3 (55:51):
I'm following to the door.

Speaker 5 (55:53):
I will protect you guys outside of the room.

Speaker 3 (55:57):
Okay, apparently grub that doesn't want to go into the room,
what is our bard friend.

Speaker 2 (56:02):
Doing following you all?

Speaker 13 (56:05):
But kindly said girl that didn't want to go through
the door, because I want to protect y'all outside of
the door.

Speaker 2 (56:14):
Reordan points out, girl, Dad, I don't think you're thinking
tactically here, if we're in the room, they have to
get through the door to get to us, and only
one person can get through that door at a time.

Speaker 3 (56:26):
So girl, do you come with us? All right? So
we all go into the room that opened when I
answered the riddle.

Speaker 2 (56:34):
Okay, So you get in the room and there is
this kill and it is it's big. Now you'll be
able to lift and carry it out, but it'll take
two of you to do.

Speaker 5 (56:48):
It, right, get light with my badget Oh.

Speaker 2 (56:55):
Yeah, that would work. That would work. Now. In addition,
on one like on the walls are all these beautiful pots.

Speaker 9 (57:07):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (57:08):
These are classic cobble pot glazed pots of the highest
quality quality that hasn't been seen in years. Also on
the wall is a ceramic mask.

Speaker 3 (57:24):
How big is the mask?

Speaker 2 (57:27):
It's big enough to cover your face.

Speaker 3 (57:30):
It's so like, I'm thinking, I want to go over
and grab the mask and put it on my face
because I'm feeling sassy now that I solved.

Speaker 2 (57:42):
A riddle, it would fit you.

Speaker 3 (57:44):
Okay, that's what I do. I go over and take
the mask off the wall and put on my face.

Speaker 2 (57:48):
And at first it's it's not quite comfortable, but it
almost seems like it adjusts to your face and then
it feels quite comfortable. Looks like an anthropomorphic bunny wearing
a ceramic mask with a big, funny looking smile on it.

Speaker 4 (58:06):
You look like an evil villain from a movie.

Speaker 3 (58:10):
Even better? All right, we take Kim and get the
cure before gets handy.

Speaker 5 (58:21):
Did I always use my lighted magic?

Speaker 3 (58:24):
Got it?

Speaker 2 (58:25):
No?

Speaker 3 (58:26):
You've got to do that? So all right?

Speaker 5 (58:29):
So h Galda is that?

Speaker 6 (58:33):
Like?

Speaker 3 (58:34):
All right?

Speaker 5 (58:35):
So Galda uses her magic, her light and magic on the.

Speaker 3 (58:43):
Count so that she can carry it out for us. Yeah,
because that's why we keep a strong fairy.

Speaker 2 (58:50):
And she uses the light and magic and it is
now light girl that couldn't carry it by herself.

Speaker 13 (59:00):
That's what you're gonna do so other people can fight.
AI be a villain pabond.

Speaker 3 (59:07):
Do you want to try to grab a couple of
the pops off the walls or we just gonna get
while the gitten's good?

Speaker 2 (59:13):
You know what?

Speaker 15 (59:14):
Yeah, I'm gonna grab a couple of pots off the walls,
just so I can see if I can get a
little money off him.

Speaker 3 (59:20):
When I mean all about the cash.

Speaker 4 (59:23):
All about that cross grab you you know me?

Speaker 2 (59:26):
Huh Okay, as you guys come out of the of
the room with a kiln and your pots.

Speaker 6 (59:38):
And your mask.

Speaker 2 (59:39):
Two daggers come from the darkness and one sticks in
the wall behind you. One of them hits Reordan. Oh okay,
sticks in his shoulder. He pulls it out. He's bleeding freely,
but he and he does not look happy, but he's
not dying.

Speaker 4 (01:00:02):
Like any of us thought we'd even need one bandage.

Speaker 5 (01:00:05):
I thought we need a bill it's sober.

Speaker 3 (01:00:08):
Reordaned and says you goot.

Speaker 5 (01:00:10):
Y'all, I brought a bandage. You know, I'm a little
bit always prepared.

Speaker 3 (01:00:16):
We're not good.

Speaker 2 (01:00:18):
Let's see a bandage is in in this game is
water and then some cloth that you wrap around the wound.
You can try to do that if you like.

Speaker 3 (01:00:28):
No, I'll ask Riordan if he was good.

Speaker 2 (01:00:31):
It's like, let's get out of here before something worse happened.

Speaker 3 (01:00:34):
That's that was the plan.

Speaker 4 (01:00:36):
Good plan?

Speaker 5 (01:00:37):
So so so then, well, well, did puts on the bandage?

Speaker 3 (01:00:44):
Okayba wants to put a bandage on him real quick?

Speaker 2 (01:00:47):
All right, and yeah it helps a little, but he'll
need either a healing potion or some kind of magical
healing when you all get to where you're going.

Speaker 3 (01:01:00):
Well, we're making like a tree and leafing.

Speaker 2 (01:01:04):
Okay, as as you all travel along. As you all
travel along, all of a sudden, three more daggers come
out of the darkness at you. Now. They bounce off
the walls behind you. Nobody got hit, but it's clear
they're trying to track you now, So just walking.

Speaker 3 (01:01:25):
Now, we're like a cup a running for the hills
the back the way we came.

Speaker 2 (01:01:32):
Okay, double time in it, move, move, move, we gotta
get them. You get back through where you had the
encounter with the three guards. Their bodies have been removed.
You hear lots of movement around you, none of it close,

(01:01:52):
but it's clear they're trying to close in.

Speaker 5 (01:01:55):
Get your guts out, get your duds out.

Speaker 2 (01:01:58):
So now the run to the Okay, you made it
back to the stairs that it lead up to behind
the uh the broken kiln tavern, And as you get there,
you hear like a rush of people behind you, like
they're not far at all.

Speaker 3 (01:02:20):
So as everyone is heading for the stairs, Noel turns around.
It pulls both of her pistols to hold off whoever's
tailing them. Get that thing out of here, she hollers
to to Grelda, who's carrying the kiln.

Speaker 5 (01:02:39):
I dig Galda runs fastass as she can out to
the exit.

Speaker 3 (01:02:44):
So Grelba running to the exit with the film.

Speaker 2 (01:02:48):
So Grela is climbing, yes, as fast as her little
wings will carry her. Yes, okay, so she's carrying the
light and kill. Are you waiting by yourself or is
everybody behind you?

Speaker 3 (01:03:05):
Old to he an eye on our.

Speaker 15 (01:03:10):
Ears, Arthur, I think I'm gonna go ahead and try
to hold off whoever is backtracking us with.

Speaker 3 (01:03:21):
With what is the bar doing? You're wounded?

Speaker 16 (01:03:24):
Allow me to tend to your wounds. Well, you listen
to these words from our sponsors. There, hold better, let's
get back to the show.

Speaker 2 (01:03:43):
He is accompanying Grilda towards the surface, just in case
they have figured out where you're heading.

Speaker 3 (01:03:50):
So that's where everyone is. You tell us what they're doing.

Speaker 2 (01:03:54):
Well, you see one guy with an army of shadows
behind him walking towards the stairs. And this guy is
dressed in the same kind of black gear, but he's
not wearing a mask or a hood. He has white hair.
He has a scar that begins over one nose runs

(01:04:17):
down his cheek and a sneer. You know him, if
only because you've seen pictures of him throughout the town.
They call him Slink and he's the leader of the
guilt Roger.

Speaker 17 (01:04:34):
Okaye him, man, we're just reclaiming some property. We're gonna
be out of your hair and won't see us again.
Not trying to not trying to take you or in
or anything. We're just reclaiming some property.

Speaker 3 (01:04:50):
That's all. We're gonna be out of your hair.

Speaker 2 (01:04:53):
Slink just sneers. He can't help it.

Speaker 3 (01:04:57):
Just what do you do? Okay, not problem.

Speaker 2 (01:05:00):
He's like, well, there's a price to get that out
of here without a fight.

Speaker 3 (01:05:05):
You have to have already going up the stairs. So
I mean, we can fight if he wants, but I
think it's a moot point. I'm not sure how much
he gets to fight. Since I've got two pistols to
his whatever he's standing here sneering at, and they are
two pistols to his sneer. I feel like the exception
of the fact that I obviously can't roll for shit today,

(01:05:27):
I feel like I should be in better standing.

Speaker 7 (01:05:30):
Girl.

Speaker 3 (01:05:31):
If you drop those things, you get off the shot.

Speaker 2 (01:05:33):
See his hands.

Speaker 3 (01:05:37):
I'm going to whoop you in the nose with my
Actually take a shot at his foot, just because I'm
trying to totally piss him off. I just want him to,
just want to let him know that, hey, we would
just want to leave without any trouble. I come, no, no, no,
you you were up the stairs. Okay, So I take

(01:05:59):
this between his feet and team.

Speaker 2 (01:06:07):
Lucky. Yeah, you managed to place a shot between his feet,
but it doesn't stop his hands moving.

Speaker 4 (01:06:14):
Lucky Lucky roll.

Speaker 2 (01:06:15):
And you can't because you struck with that first shot.

Speaker 6 (01:06:18):
You you.

Speaker 2 (01:06:20):
Can definitely follow up with a second.

Speaker 3 (01:06:24):
And what was he doing with his hands?

Speaker 2 (01:06:27):
It looks like he's casting a spell?

Speaker 3 (01:06:29):
Oh okay, whoa. I take a shot at his spell
casting hands with my second pistol and it doesn't do
can't do too good, can't get too good? Rolls back back,
I guess no.

Speaker 2 (01:06:51):
Darkness begins to spread from his fingers, long ropes of it,
and they sort of form into snakes as he approaches you.

Speaker 3 (01:07:04):
I'll be honest there with me too, I'll be on
what are you doing? So roll for initiative?

Speaker 2 (01:07:10):
You probably should have, but he was he was coming
to talk.

Speaker 4 (01:07:15):
So what do I think I'm gonna do I think
I am going to try to hit him, because if
he wants to fight, he wants to fight.

Speaker 3 (01:07:25):
I pranced me talking here. I guess I should have
asked that question before I shot at him. Go ahead,
what are you doing? I'll be on.

Speaker 7 (01:07:34):
I think I think I'm gonna use my spear.

Speaker 4 (01:07:40):
I think I'm gonna use my spear. I'm gonna I
think I'm gonna throw it.

Speaker 3 (01:07:43):
At this guy.

Speaker 2 (01:07:44):
Okay, roll D twenty. Oh you hit, Go ahead and
roll your damage five. Okay, Well you strike him in
the shoulder. It cuts him open and he's bleeding. You see,
if he can focus, his spellcraft barely makes that role.

(01:08:06):
The darkness snakes keep flowing, and you notice he's got
a literal army of these hands behind him.

Speaker 3 (01:08:17):
Have our friends gotten out the cave.

Speaker 2 (01:08:21):
Now, Well, they're they're up towards the top. They're they're
close enough that it doesn't look like anything's coming to
stop them.

Speaker 3 (01:08:30):
I would think that we would back off a little bit,
like back towards the exit.

Speaker 2 (01:08:38):
You guys start backing up towards the exit, He and
his small army of hands begin to follow you, so
it turns into a them chasing you up the stairs.
As you emerge, it is dark outside. The moon is
shining down. Now you're you're you're wearing this shining this

(01:09:02):
this mask.

Speaker 3 (01:09:03):
Uh huh.

Speaker 2 (01:09:05):
It begins to laugh, not you, the men's.

Speaker 3 (01:09:12):
The mask is hadkeed something.

Speaker 2 (01:09:16):
As the hands emerge and Slink with them, they hear
this laughter from everywhere, but also from you, and they're terrified.

Speaker 3 (01:09:29):
Probably a little nervous myself. My ears twitch.

Speaker 2 (01:09:32):
And at that point Tessa comes out. And when she emerges,
Slink gets this look of terror on his face and
dives back down the stairs. His hands follow him.

Speaker 3 (01:09:48):
Yeah, and Noel Wearing still points at the kiln that
girl has.

Speaker 2 (01:09:55):
Well, she takes the kiln. Inside there is a shard
of potts, and she says, she hands that to you.

Speaker 3 (01:10:05):
She says, I'll be on brought out some pots too.

Speaker 2 (01:10:08):
Yes, I'll be on brought out some pots. You can
sell those. But I'm going to go ahead, and now
I'm sure you're going to have both the mask and
the shard looked at later, so I will tell you
what each does. The mask is called the Mask of
the Hollow, jests nice. It laps in the moonlight all
by itself. Anyone not familiar with that laughter needs to

(01:10:32):
make a saving throw or they will be struck with fear.
It also, while while you wear it, gives you an
advantage on one deception or performance check per day, so
it's called the Mask of the Hollow jest nice. The
other is a is a shard of glaze fire. It

(01:10:55):
casts fairy fire once per long rest, and it glows
near anyone who's being deceptive.

Speaker 3 (01:11:03):
Righty, wow?

Speaker 5 (01:11:06):
Is that the age of heart?

Speaker 3 (01:11:07):
Does that bring us to the end of this adventure?

Speaker 2 (01:11:10):
I guess that does bring you to the end of
this adventure. You are five hundred gold richer.

Speaker 3 (01:11:17):
Yes, kay, good job.

Speaker 2 (01:11:20):
And uh Riordan's wound heals up fine. But you all
noticed that he has a shard of pottery under his skin,
now glowing faintly. Not even Tessen knows why it's there,
and no one can seem to remove it.

Speaker 3 (01:11:38):
See good to know who will think you.

Speaker 2 (01:11:43):
