Plenty of prospects left in the minors for too long sometimes, and sometimes Grey gets left at home for the NBA Finals. This week on the Razzball Fantasy Baseball Podcast, we talk about prospects that are heading up to the majors starting with the #1 prospect in baseball, Roman Anthony of the Red Sox.

The Mariners brought up Cole Young who was #29 on Itch’s June prospect rankings update. Kyle Teel was brought up by the White Sox, but can Grey get excited for a catcher? Ronny Mauricio is back on his way to New York and Grey is excited. Who is Ian Seymour and do you actually need to know? We wrap the show discussing a couple hot performers in Jo Adell and Chrisitan Encarnacion-Strand.

Everybody welcome back. It is the ras Ball Fantasy Baseball Podcast.
I am beat on, joined by the One, the Only,
the Fantasy Master Othario. Hey all Bright, how's going over there?

Speaker 2 (01:18):
Great? Uh, it's good man, I is uh, you know,
I had a I had a bit of bad news today.
I was well, actually it was good news for a
like a minute, maybe like a good news for like
thirty seconds, and then it became bad news. So my
my my lovely wife Koog's uh told me that, uh,

(01:43):
you know, her family has season tickets to the Pacers,
so you know, she was like, we're going, uh, we're
going to uh Indie for the NBA Finals, and I
heard I heard we're we're going. I didn't. I didn't
actually hear she's going, but for some reason that I
heard we're going. So I was like, oh my god,

(02:05):
we're going to the NBA Finals. And she's like, no, no,
I'm going. You're you're staying home. So yeah, that's uh,
that's where that's where my head's at right now. I
just found out that, uh my, my my wife's my
wife is leaving me. Uh, edit it right there, edit it.

(02:28):
That's it. She's going to the NBA Finals without me.
So you know, she loves so she tends to listen
to the first couple of minutes of the podcast.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
So hey, baby, uh get the get the nicity in
there too, Gray. That's that's a good way to cover.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
You know.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
Somebody has to watch the dog, Gray. That's just it's
a basic of life. Somebody has to watch the dog.
You wanted a dog, now you gotta watch it. That's
how it goes. Uh. It's and also great you couldn't
name three players in the NBA Finals if like your
life depending on it.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
So there's a.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
Lot of money to spend on somebody you can't name
a single player on the court. I'm just just throwing
that out there as a possibility for me.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Actually know what, I actually have an idea. How about
next week you do a podcast with my wife. I
bet people would listen.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
I love that.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
How about you guys do a podcast next week and
I take the week off talk about the Pacers.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
I mean, they could be NBA champions by then if
they just continue to run. We could complain about all
the all the stuff that okay see gets away with.
I mean there's there's there's any number of topics. I'm
sure I usually talk about.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
It's funny you that's actually funny you say, okay see,
because like we were because we're watching, you know, obviously
we're watching in the finals, and I'm so unfamiliar with
the NBA. She said. She said something like because I said, oh,
nice shot, something like that, something that something someone who's

(04:12):
never watched basketball would say. I said something like nice shot.
And she was like, that's okay see, you just said
nice shot about like real, like, oh, that's like you know,
like I like, I like, I like I hurt her personally,
like I like I like I like I I damaged
something that was like, you know, in her soul, she says, oh,

(04:36):
you're just you're cheering on okay, see now, And she
said that. I was like, okay, see, what what does
that mean? I didn't even know. I was like, okay,
see that sounds really silly. No one says that, and no,
I meant like immediately on the broadcast, they're like, okay,
see goes up by fifteen. I'm like, oh, I guess

(05:02):
that is what people say.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Okay, maybe I should just stick to baseball not comment
in basketball games ever. Again. Yeah, I mean, you know, Gray,
it's fine, It's it's okay that you got left at home.
It's uh, it's probably likely that the Pacers aren't winning,
but they're they're pulling off a run here. That's it's

(05:24):
it's pretty miraculous. So I really hope that they do well.
But yeah, I mean again, I think, uh, I think
at Koog's and beat On Podcasts would would do great numbers,
if you if we want to set that up, I'm sure.
I'm sure we'd find plenty of topics that the audience
would find interesting, probably not baseball related, but very interesting.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
You know how, we're like a top ten fantasy podcast
in Korea. We would we would also become a top
ten podcast in like one of those remote regions where
there's only women and there's and they bring in a
guy to mate with and then they kill that guy.
We would we would become a top ten fantasy podcast

(06:07):
there as well. That's a very that's a very niche audience.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
They're great.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
Yeah, yeah, unlike their fantasy audience in Korea.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
They love baseball. Gray, I don't know what you're talking about.
You know, clearly, clearly they they make up a good
portion of our fan base and for number one, they're
obviously you need to give them some respect, Gray. They
will leave us. Go find somebody else, all right, Gray,
Let's let's talk about somebody else that was disrespected Gray,

(06:44):
And that was that was Craig kimberl Uh. He spent
you know, I mean, potential future Hall of Famer. Probably
not just because it's hard for closures to go. But
you know, hey, Atlanta, like sports star was great for them.

(07:05):
They they've made him spend you know, time in the minors.
For a guy like him, they call him up. He
got one game and then they devade him.

Speaker 2 (07:16):
Yeah, yeah, I know, Like I was.

Speaker 1 (07:19):
On the road, by the way, it's not no.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
I was like, this was really bizarre because it was like,
you know, we'll talk about sagnov later with the bullpens
and like how bad the Braves bullpen is. But I
was thinking like like there was no way, like I'm
on on Saturday mornings, I'm on with Craig Mish and
he said and he said to me, like, what would
you bid for Kimberlu this week? This was before he

(07:48):
got DFAD. It was when he after he got called up,
before he got dfa'd, so it was like a real
small window. And miss asked me what I would bid
in uh in Fan for him, and I was like,
I don't think any of my leagues allow me to
bid negative numbers, so I won't be bidding on him.

(08:08):
But with that said, so so I acknowledge that Craig
Kimberl isn't very good. But with that said, like why
would the Braves break him up? Why why did they
do that?

Speaker 4 (08:21):
That was so bizarre that they like brought him up
just to like let him go, Like what like it
was almost like like I feel like Evan Longoria when
he signs a ceremonial one day contract with the Rays
to retire as a Ray.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
He's gonna get more time with the Rains than Kimbrel
got with the Braves, Like what, like why would you
do that to Craig Kimbrel just in general? Like I
understand he's not good obviously, that doesn't that goes without
saying really, but like why would you do why would
you call him up? Just a DFA M. It's like

(09:00):
it's so obnoxious as like an organization, like where they like, Okay,
we're gonna give you a shot, and he like pitched,
he pitched, I mean, and then and then they just
let him go. Like I don't get it, man. That
was so like just on a purely human level, like honestly,

(09:21):
like I don't understand why they would do that, Great Camperal,
Like it was almost like something you do to your
worst enemy. It was like, oh, yeah, we're calling you up. Okay,
go out there and go out there and get him killer.
He goes out there and they're like, okay, you're you're
actually you're dumbe with You're done. Rossio Iglesias is terrible,

(09:43):
but you're worst. Get out of here. It's like, why
would you why would you do that to a vet
who pitched for you and like has so many like
I don't know, it's just so bizarre. I don't know
unless there was something we didn't hear about, like they
they were doing it as like a ceremonial like hey
now you can retire as a like, but they didn't

(10:05):
have like any sort of ceremony or anything like. I
don't why did they do that. It really is bizarre
to me. Why would they have done that to him?
I don't get it.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
I have no answers. Gray, And again, it was on
the road, like if it was at home, maybe you
can get away with the like, okay, we wanted to
give him one last arrah like the crowd.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
They would lest her out in front of a road crowd.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
You get, you got the Rockies coming in this weekend.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
You couldn't have let him get one out in the
Rocky series like he can he gets he can get
three saves in the Rocky series and let him retire,
like come on, I mean, it's just ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
I so some people, like some people said it was
like a great little like thing for him, Like no,
he had to go spend time in the miners, traveling
on buses and then they called him up and df
eate him on the road.

Speaker 2 (11:00):
After actually doing okay in the game.

Speaker 1 (11:03):
I understand the velocity was terrible and like he was
eventually it's eventually gonna go bad. But I just don't
understand the thought process here. So like he had great
years with the Braves, like the fans love him here.
If he goes in the Hall of Fame, I wouldn't
be surprised if he's now Like, no, I'm not going
to his Brave.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
That was the most terrible. It was so bizarre.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
It was like I really feel like the Braves are
terrible by like acknowledging their stars in general, like Brandie
Freeman left and they were just like A he's gone,
We're moving on. We don't we don't care. It's fine. Uh,
Like even like Chipper Jones, like mad Exmolts, like if
it wasn't for Atlanta, like radio, like it wouldn't it's

(11:49):
not the team, Like the team does nothing for them.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
Yeah. And then and then they have a manager, Brian Snicker,
who doesn't even watch the games, never one excuse anything
goes wrong. It's like I wasn't watched, like I was
in a bathroom, you know, was he was? He not
running out the double. I don't know. Pizza burghers really
get through you.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
And you know I had three of them, so I
didn't know what was going on. It's my bad. I
think I'll just stick the Chick fil Ay now except
for Sundays. But it is what it is.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
I don't I don't know.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
They said stickers, you know, safe, which is usually the
last thing they say right before they fire somebody to
So just a collection of things.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
He's not making it. If they if they don't start
like winning games, he's not making it.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
They have to How do they? How are they this bad?
It doesn't make any sense? All right, great, let's we
could ramble about this for a while. I know you
and I can. We've already rambled enough. Let's let's get
into it. There's actually a really big call up. It
was made today like it happened two hours ago that

(13:02):
we got news of it, and that is Roman Anthony
is coming up for the Boston Red Sox. William Brayhu
is going to the IL. He had been struggling. Whether
that was part of of the IL chip or not,
I'm not sure. But in fifty eight games the Triple
A Safar Roman Anthony has sent on runs three stone basis.
He's in in two eighty eight, four, twenty three, four
ninety one. He's got a twenty one percent krate, a

(13:24):
nineteen percent walk rate. He is the number one prospect
on itches June Update. What do you think about the
Roman Anthony call Adam everywhere?

Speaker 2 (13:38):
Oh yeah, oh absolutely, yeah, yeah, I know for sure.
I think he's actually I looked real quick to see
I heard the news, and then I looked at our
RCL league where the best chance of him actually being
available was in that league, I thought, because that's like
a twelve team mixed league, and I saw that you

(13:58):
already had him. So if you had him already, I'm
assuming you've had him for a while, right, okay, right, yeah,
so that's what Yeah, So that's what I'm saying. And
that's a twelve team mix league, so you drafted him
and r CL For people who don't play in it,
who are listening to this, hello, one person in Korea,

(14:21):
that league is really shallow to the point where like
people churn at like the bottom three or four players
on the on the on the team. So if you're
holding holding Roman anty in that league, and I and
I don't disagree that you shouldn't have been holding him.
I mean, yeah, you hold the top prospect in a
in a twelve team mix league. So yeah, I think

(14:42):
he's I think he's probably taken everywhere I looked at.
I have a I have a fab tool that Rudy
set up for me. Thank you, Rudy. Uh he uh.
He set up this tool where I can input a
name and I you have to you put in your
for every league you're in, and you input a name

(15:04):
into this tool and it tells you who has the
player in your league or if they're available. And he
was taken in every league I mean, and that's leagues
that are like anywhere from twelve team mix league to
you know, Ale Only, like he's obviously a only he's
on Yeah, any anyway, he's he's he's off the I

(15:25):
feel like he's off the board. I said people should
buy him, like about a month ago. I think if
if anyone, if you're ever going to get him, probably
at some point in May was the time you were
going to get him. You're you're not getting him now.
I mean unless you're in a really shallow league where
it's just like half the league is not paying attention.

(15:47):
Uh so, yeah, I think Roman Anthony is probably rostered everywhere.
But anyway, if he's not, you should pick him up.
With all that said, you know, I think probably the
bigger thing, the big question is probably what do we
expect from Roman Anthony this year? You know, it's uh,
it's actually it's very convenient that Will your a bray.

(16:09):
You went on the I L. It's very bad, very
convenient injury.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
H I.

Speaker 2 (16:14):
You know, it's still so funny to me that the
Mets GM Eppler got in trouble for making up phantom injuries,
like every team doesn't make up like oh, hey, Will,
you're a bray? You you have a sore ankle?

Speaker 1 (16:28):
What?

Speaker 2 (16:29):
Yeah you do? Yeah you do? Actually I don't, Yeah,
actually you do? Or do you want to go play
in Pittsburgh or and then like Craig breslo is hitting
like a Billy club, or we can make your ankle
sore for you. It's it's right immediately after the SUP

(16:50):
at the Super Too call up day, It's like, oh,
suddenly Roman Anthony is available to be brought up. So anyway,
I think the bigger question is probably what we could
expect from So he looks like to me, he looks
like a power slightly higher on power, but still speed too.
I think I said in the preseason he's probably a

(17:14):
thirty thirty guy with good contact, so looking at like,
you know, two seventy plus average, and that's that's for
his rookie year. Obviously, as players get more comfortable, they
hit for better average. So down the road, we're looking
at a guy who could be a top twenty overall
type fantasy threat with like thirty thirty, three hundred, you

(17:39):
know that kind of that's what we're looking at down
the road for this year. I would say you pro
rate thirty thirty looking at like roughly fifteen fifteen, maybe
two seventy. You know, all these things are so many
different factors when it goes into a rookie, like does
he come up and you know, struggle at first, Like

(18:00):
we've said this so many times before, but like if
you look at Mike Trout, he struggled when he first
came up. So it's not like, you know, none of
this stuff is linear. There could be a guy like
you know, Roman Anthony who comes up and just hits
the ground running and actually wins the Rookie of the
Year in only you know, a little under three you know,

(18:21):
three and a half months or whatever. So there, I mean,
there is a chance for that, that is as possible.
The other side of it could be like a guy
who's like solid but somewhat unremarkable his rookie year, you know,
thinking fifteen, fifteen, two seventy over the course of you know,
a little bit over three months. It's okay, I mean,

(18:43):
that's fine. Some people might get grow bored of that
in shallower leagues. It's also like the Red Sox aren't
necessarily a team that is scared to run. So if
he comes up and he doesn't hit for like huge power,
but Alex Korr is like, yeah, Ron, who cares. I mean,
then if he steals like, you know, twenty five bags

(19:06):
in the matter of you know, three and a half months,
then it's like, wow, that's that's really valuable in a
certain respect for certain teams, for certain fantasy teams. That
is h Yeah, I like him. I think he's you know,
I don't know if it's like him or say, you know,
Jack cagleone totally different players, but like you know and

(19:32):
different like different needs different Your fantasy team might need
power over speed, so that that could have some you know,
bearing on what you decide between Caglione and Anthony. But
if I were here right now saying this, like Caglione
could be better, Absolutely, he could be better, just in

(19:52):
just in general, like he could come out hit twenty homers,
hit two seventy and have great RBIs and Roman Anthony,
you know, struggles a little bit that could happen. You
never know what's gonna happen, so do I I think
Roman Anthony is super talented. Absolutely, I think he's he
could be a difference maker. He could be a number

(20:13):
three outfielder as soon as this.

Speaker 1 (20:15):
Year, yeah, I mean the rest of the season. He
could definitely be a number three, even even up potentially
number two if he, like you said, just really just
hits the ground running, starts putting up numbers immediately. You know,
this guy's kind of the limit. With a guy like that,
Let me throw some names at you, Gray and see
what your thoughts are here. Would you rather have would

(20:36):
you drop a Dallas Garcia to grab up Roman Anthony?

Speaker 2 (20:40):
Absolutely?

Speaker 1 (20:41):
Okay, let's move up the list. Would you rather have
Roman Anthony or Michael Harris the second.

Speaker 2 (20:49):
You know, Michael Harris the second has been a guy
who I have never really liked, you, you know, like
in the preseason I was saying, don't draft him. I
had him ranked lower than everyone. With all that said,
I'd probably go Michael Anthony. I mean, excuse me, Michael
Harris a second over Anthony just because he's more established

(21:14):
has you know, we've seen the ability there with Michael
Harris a second, So i'd probably go him. Do I
think they're probably super close? Yeah, I mean they could
be very close. They could Anthony could even be better
than him. But yeah, I would go Michael Harris a second.

Speaker 1 (21:31):
Okay, how about terribleness in encapsulated Brenton Doyle?

Speaker 2 (21:38):
Yeah, no, I think unfortunately, I think Brenton Doyle has
a Nolan Jones disease and I don't know if there's
a cure for it. I think you got to move
on from Brenton Doyle. I think I think we've reached
the point where it's time to move on. Unfortunately, I
was thinking of one that I don't know if you

(22:00):
had this on the list to ask me, but uh,
Brian Reynolds has really struggled, he would be He would
be a tough one to let go for Roman Anthony,
but I could see it working.

Speaker 1 (22:14):
I think if it's shallowing up, if it's a ten
team league, or maybe even in the RcLs, if he's
available and that's Brian Reynolds is just your worst performing outfielder,
I could see doing it. But it's really hard to
let go of just like consistent, you know, eighty five
eighty five runs and RBI's average that's usually solid, and

(22:39):
he kind of gets there one way or another every
year they're like twenty four home runs. So I still
think he's going to end up in that twenty four
two sixty eighty five eighty five type of number. And
if that's useful in your league, you know, it's fine.
I think Roman Anthony brings more upside just in general,

(22:59):
because Reynolds has never been an upside play.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
Yeah, no, definitely. I you know, Roman Anthony probably would
be like if you were redrafting today, I would say
Ryan Reynolds and Roman Anthony probably wouldn't be separated by
that much in a in a redraft like right now,
if you were to redraft. So yeah, I mean, I

(23:24):
don't know, I think so that's like roughly I don't
know a little bit around like one hundred overall, I
guess would probably be that's usually.

Speaker 1 (23:34):
The Brian Reynolds sweet spot is like eighty nine to
like one, yeah, depending only like right around one hundred
and an average, right, yeah.

Speaker 2 (23:45):
Yeah, so that yeah, so that's probably like around where
Ryan Roman Anthony would probably go. So yeah, I mean
they're probably a toss up. Roman Anthony has more upside,
like you know, like we said, more speed, probably has
you know, potential to have the same amount of power

(24:07):
as Brian Reynolds. So you're really just like you're going
you're banking off of like what you know versus what
you don't know. You know, it's like upside versus kind
of what you expect, even though you know, Brian Reynolds
hasn't been exactly what anyone's expected so far.

Speaker 1 (24:25):
No, he hasn't. He has not been that good. One
last one, would you take Roman Anthony or his teammate Saddan.

Speaker 2 (24:31):
Afm Roman Anthony for sure? Yeah, I assume. So, you know,
just that Anthony is like roughly in the eighty to
one ten overall range for a redraft, right, the second.
That means he's you know, Raphaela is like two twenty five,

(24:52):
two fifty overall in that range. So yeah, I mean,
no question. It's like you know Brian wo or yeah,
no Brian, what would be after him too? I don't know.
It's like, uh like would be in that kind of area.

Speaker 1 (25:11):
Maybe not after this season he's happened, but like or
like in that draft.

Speaker 2 (25:16):
Number one, like a number one closer, like if you know,
if you can get your your.

Speaker 1 (25:21):
Former boy Boba Schett would be in that area. Uh,
Ian happ Would you ever know Ian Happen?

Speaker 2 (25:29):
Roman Anthony, I think I'd go Roman Anthony, I think,
but I mean that's closed. I don't know, it's that's
it's very similar like uh, Mike Trout, Roman Anthony. These
are like these are toss ups kind of like, but
they're close. I mean I think he's in that, like

(25:49):
you know, that range of like where you drafted a
number three outfielder kind of and and has the chance
to be a number two like you said, or or sort.

Speaker 1 (26:01):
Of like has the chance to be like you know
a uh like to be demoted when your bray who
comes back like like or you.

Speaker 2 (26:10):
Know or like uh Mark fient does went in that
general area of addrest.

Speaker 1 (26:15):
And he's been terrible.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
So it's like, you know, you know, potential flame out
or potentially solid and you know, really good.

Speaker 1 (26:26):
Yeah. Yeah, who would have thought we would say, drop
Mike Trout for a rookie. That's that's some That's some
changes in in time there, Gray. Let's move on to
some more prospects. Great, there's a bunch of call ups
and recalls. Uh. Carl Young was called up by Seattle
number twenty nine on Itch's prospect list again. He updated
that at the beginning of June. So go check that out.

(26:49):
Triple A this year fifty four games, five home runs,
four stone basis, he has hitting two seventy seven three
two four sixty one. He is eleven point four percent
strikeout rate, n a twelve point seven percent and walk rate.
What do you think about Cole Yong? Are you grabbing
him in every league as well? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (27:07):
I mean I was, but I don't think anyone else was.
I don't think anyone cared. Really, I got him for nothing.
I was a little surprised by that. I expected a
little bit of a little bit more of a bidding frenzy,
but maybe not frenzy, but something bidding something. Uh yeah,

(27:30):
I mean he looks decent. He's got you know, he's
got power, speed, make solid contact because well he was
in the minors at least, you know, it's a small
sample size, a small sample size for the time he's
been with the Mariners so far. Unfortunately it is the
Mariner so that's a terrible park, So that hurts his

(27:54):
probably it's going to hurt his power. That isn't really
that extreme to begin with. His hard hit looks terrible
so far. Again, it's only eight games as of the
recording of this, So yeah, I mean he looks. He
looks like he's worth a shot in like fifteen teen

(28:14):
mix leagues and deeper, just to see if, like you know,
he catches on or he starts stealing bases. But right
now he doesn't look very good.

Speaker 1 (28:25):
No, the start of his professional career is not going
exactly to script, you know. That being said, he's really
kind of a speed and average guy, so he's not
really going to provide a lot of power anyways, you
weren't really counting on that. I think. I think on
the good side, it'd be i know, kind of like

(28:48):
Anthony Volpe with better average or better play discipline at least,
But I think that's probably a bit away from like
what I actually expect from him. That's just the the
you know, imagine it, what does it look like? And
maybe it's like Anthony Volpi.

Speaker 2 (29:08):
That sounds like pie in the sky. Yeah, but not
not not gonna happen type comp comp comparison. I would say,
like Willie Castro, maybe I will see I mean, you know,
hopefully he's any Volpe. I think more realistically he's probably

(29:31):
Willie Castro, which is fine in some leagues, but I
don't even know if he's that as of right now.
Right now he's struggling and isn't really Like I think
Willie Castro is a place in some twelve team mix
leagues where Cole Young doesn't right now.

Speaker 1 (29:48):
No, I mean that's that's probably fair. Yeah, Like I said,
that was just if everything happens to click, I think
that's kind of where where he could end up at.
But yeah, I mean I don't expect him to again,
it's like a I think Vope's tools are much louder.
I just think Cole Young just has a much better
play discipline set, maybe a bad pool on my part.

(30:10):
So we'll just ignore that one and pretend I never
said that, and we'll move on to the next guy,
which is Kyle Teal, who is called up by the
White Sox.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
Who is exactly like Anthony Volpe.

Speaker 1 (30:23):
Eight home runs, seven stone bases two twenty five and
kate fourteen percent walk rate and so far seems to
be the primary catcher for them since his call up,
hitting fifth or sixth. I mean, you got to put
your top prospect behind Chase Speedroth and Andrew brad ATTINDI
and Mike Talkman. Yeah, definitely can't get him as many

(30:46):
at bats as possible. What are your thoughts of Kyle Teal?

Speaker 2 (30:51):
Uh? You know, I I don't really love, like, I'm
not a catcher guy in general, so I don't really
like as soon as a guy comes up and he's
like a catcher, it doles me a little bit. It
doles my excitement a little bit. Like Augustine Ramirez, I
feel like he got called up, and I don't think

(31:13):
I was as excited about him as I probably should
have been, because, like, because he's a catcher, and it
just was like, Eh, he's a catcher, who cares, you know,
so I'm trying not to. I'm trying not to have
that same sort of reaction just because Kyle Teal is
a catcher. I I do wonder if they're actually, like

(31:34):
right now, on a roster resource, they're saying that Teal
is platooning, which is crazy. I mean, if he's really
I mean, you know, obviously with a catcher, he's gonna
sit occasionally just to get rest. He's only gonna play,
you know, four or five games a week, so that's fine.
But I really hope that he's not actually getting platooned

(31:57):
out versus lefties, which that would be just stupid, Like
if you know, for instance, like there's a difference between
a catcher resting every fourth or fifth day versus like
a catcher who like if the team is facing three
lefties in a row and that catcher is then sitting
for three games in a row, like, that's stupid. That

(32:20):
should not happen. I hope, I hope that is not
what's happening with the White Sox. I don't know for sure.
I usually trust roster resource to be on top of that,
so I don't know, maybe that is what's going on,
you know, With all that said, you know, he makes
great contact, he has power and speed. As you mentioned,

(32:41):
he looks rosterable in every fantasy league that is like
twelve team mixed and deeper if you have like a
need for a catcher. Right, So if you're like, you know,
I was looking, actually so in this week in FAB
is that a Johnny Bench show? This So this week

(33:03):
in FAB, Kyle Teal came up and I'd bid like
twenty bucks on him, willing to drop Francisco Alvarez. So
that's sort of where I'm at with him. That's not
I mean Francisco Alvarez, and that's a two catcher league.
So Francisco Alvarez isn't that terrible of a catcher for
me to be dropping. He has been pretty bad this year.

(33:25):
Don't get me wrong, he hasn't been great. But I
think you know that short of shows, where I'm at
with Kyle Teal, that's roughly around maybe I would say
the fifteenth to seventeenth catcher off the board Francisco Alvarez.
So I'm saying that Kyle Teal could be better than that. Also,

(33:46):
I felt like it was worth a FAB bid in
order to see maybe if upside is there like, you know,
if Kyle TiAl is hitting you know, fifth or sixth
in the White Sox lineup, that's more valuable than a
catcher who's hitting ninth. But you know, it's also there's
a little bit of, uh, there's potential there for Kyle
Teal to come up and struggle and you know, maybe

(34:09):
get sent down. Who knows. I mean there's you know,
there's always risk with rookies like that. So I don't know.
All that said, I like Kyle Teel as a flyer
for upside, I don't really know if he's gonna be
like you know, you look at the projections from like
other people, and the projections are saying like, you know,
five homers, four steals, hitting two fifty, which is like

(34:34):
it's okay. I mean, you know, it's not it's not
really that exciting, but there is you know, there is
some like quote unquote upside potentially. So I don't mind
the flyer on him if you're struggling to find, you know,
any sort of production from your catcher, even in a
one catcher league, Like you know, if I, like, for instance,

(34:54):
Francisco Abarez, like if I had him in a one
catcher league, I would be fine dropping him for k
Teal just to see if I get some upside maybe.
But then if you like a guy who's actually performing,
like I don't know, who's not good but actually performing,
So say like a Tyler Stevenson, I would probably go
with Tyler Stevenson over Kyle Teal if Tyler or Stevenson

(35:19):
was you know, if he's hitting, which he is. I
think he was like he was on my by in
my Bycolm last week because he was like a top
three catcher for the week. So yeah, I mean a
long way of saying, I don't mind Kyle Teal, but
I don't know if there's really all that much there,
at least for our purposes, Like I mean, maybe if

(35:42):
maybe the fifteenth catcher off the board if you were redrafting.

Speaker 1 (35:47):
Yeah, I think the maybe the exciting thing about Teal
is that he can actually give you a little bit
of power and speed from catcher, which is really weird
and a little bit of power and a little bit
of speed from a catcher and end up being kind
of a big deal. If he can go instead of
five to five, he goes ten ten, Then all of
a sudden, that's like a you know, somebody who's getting

(36:09):
drafted as a top five catcher next year and way
ahead of where we're drafting any catchers. And you know,
I tend to actually go the other way, where, especially
in two catcher leagues, I get excited about the catcher
call ups, maybe more than I should be, because you
and I have drafted such terrible catchers. So there's usually
at least one that I'm like, Okay, I can give

(36:29):
rid of this guy and at least take a chance
on one of these rookies. But yeah, I think you
should go ahead and take a chance if you're you know,
if you're peddling out a consistent struggler, like I don't know.
I have Jonah him, and I know I'm starting to
get frustrated with him. I know I shouldn't. The numbers
for the season are fine, but like I have Joni

(36:50):
him in a one catcher league and Kyle Thiel's there,
I'll probably do that. In a two catcher league, it'd
probably be it'd probably be more on Jonaheim, but that's
that's kind of the difference between two. I think. Let's
move over to Philadelphia, where they called up Auto Camp
as Bryce Harper goes to the IL fifty eight games

(37:12):
this year, he had fourteen MOE runs On a stall basis,
he had three, thirteen, four, sixteen, five ninety four. He
had a twenty five percent k rate and a nine
point three percent walk rate. What are your thoughts on
auto Camp? I mean, the just the numbers at face
value sound really good, Gray, But what are your thoughts?

Speaker 2 (37:33):
I was, you know, honestly, I was surprised at how
I was able to get him in my tout Wars
League NL only, so that's deep, twelve team NL only,
so it's very deep. I was able to get him
for like twelve dollars out of one thousand. I was
kind of surprised by that. It felt it felt light,

(37:57):
you know, I bit on everyone who gets called up
up just to keep people honest. I guess no one
else needed him.

Speaker 1 (38:04):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (38:05):
I was surprised that I was able to get him
for so cheap. So, uh he doesn't really have a
prospect pedigree that I'm aware of, at least because uh
Itch never went over him. So if I see the
if I see Itch never mentioning a guy, I'm assuming
he wasn't much of a prospect. It looks like, if anything,
maybe he's a quad A type guy. He's twenty five,

(38:28):
so you would assume he would have been called up
already if he was anything special. Uh, there might be
something to the fact that he was behind Bryce, so
he didn't really have a place to play. He's also
behind Alec Baum. Yeah, because I think naturally he's a
third baseman. So yeah, I mean, I don't know. In
an our only league, I don't mind the flyer, I

(38:52):
would assume he's gonna play. I mean, he's a righty,
so my assumption is he's gonna play against everyone. I mean,
it'd be really bizarre for him to be benched against
righty's and only play against lefties, like why why bother?
So I don't know, I think he would. I think
he's gonna play against everyone. So that's good. He has

(39:15):
power and speed, and he hit for average at least
in Triple A. But again, he was twenty five year
at twenty five years old in Triple A, so it's
a little bit on the it's like, you know, a
little bit old for that level. So I would say
give him a shot in an L only maybe in
a fifteen team mix league. If you're really struggling at corner.

(39:38):
But in shallower than that, I can't imagine he really
plays unless he gets hot and then he becomes a
shimatado and you end up just grabbing him, you know,
because he's a hot bat. But as of right now,
I don't think there's any reason to look at him
in a twelve team mix league or shallower.

Speaker 1 (39:56):
Yeah, and I'm not sure what his eligibility is gonna be.
And everywhere he's you'd have third base across the board,
but I know and if some of my leagues he
has second as well, and as we have discussed before,
Gray second base is just horrendous. So there's a possibility
that you have been starting a very terrible second base.
In our middle infielder, for what.

Speaker 2 (40:20):
It's worth, is third base, and my towt worst. I
don't know. You might have second base somewhere, but in
my league he's third base.

Speaker 1 (40:28):
Okay. I was looking at r cl and fan tracks,
Uh he has he has second and third there, And
so you know, if you're trotting out like a Colt
Keith or a Brett Batty who's been just horrendous, you know,
I could definitely see making the swap and just seeing
if Otto Kemp can put something together. He got caught

(40:51):
stolen stealing, but at least he's already run got a
stolen base attempt in a couple of games, so it's
worth monitoring and checking out if he.

Speaker 2 (41:02):
Does have that he's playing, if he's playing for at
least for a deep league. If he's playing, that has value.
And also if a guy comes up and he's playing,
you would think like he's already been caught stealing, like
you mentioned, so maybe he's like he's got a fire
under his butt to like prove that he's worth being
in the majors, you know, at twenty five, to finally

(41:25):
get called up. He might be like, let's go.

Speaker 1 (41:29):
This might be the one shot that he gets, you know,
to really do it.

Speaker 2 (41:32):
So, yeah, I don't hate the fire.

Speaker 1 (41:35):
If you're just starting nonsense in middle infielder or just
somebody who's not performing at all.

Speaker 2 (41:40):
Starting, I think that's coming up. I was starting Keiston
Herrera in my league, so I was starting absolute, So
there you go. In that case, Yeah, I don't mind.

Speaker 1 (41:49):
I don't mind at all. Let's move on to our
next guy here. Ronny Marisio called up by the Mets.
Mark Bienttos goes to the IL with just general triple
A this year. Mauricio has nineteen games, three on round
six on bases. He's sitting in three twenty three, three
eighty four, five oh eight. He's done with triple A.

(42:11):
I mean he's been called up before. He was number
five on his just preseason Mets prospect list. He's getting
utility infield and d H work so far since getting
called up. I want your thoughts on Ronnie Mauricio. Would
you pick him up as a direct replacement potentially for
Mark Fientos if you were still starting Mark Viento's.

Speaker 2 (42:32):
Yeah, no, I yeah. Usually I feel like usually we
go in order of bigger names to smaller names. I
think Ronnie Mauricio is above Otto camp I like Ronnie Mauricio.
I think he's probably even maybe above Kyle Teal and
Cole Young. I would say maybe just below Roman Anthony.

(42:55):
For how much I like Ronnie Mauricio. I think he's
I think he's up for good, like even Fiento's returns,
like you know, they have a Kunya wasn't really doing anything.
Brett Batty, who seems like he can't really hit major
league pitching. Ronnie Mauricio, for at least my money, looks

(43:16):
like a decent prospect. I mean he had some like
he had a bad injury last year, so he lost
all of twenty twenty four, came back twenty twenty five.
Looks it looked great in the minors, showed good power,
good speed, hit for a good average, got called up,
and is doing the same in the majors. So I
think Ronnie Maurcio could be a difference maker, especially with

(43:39):
his eligibility being you know, am I I would say,
you know, like we mentioned, I mentioned at least earlier,
Willie Castro. Yeah, I mean that's sort of where I'm
at with Ronnie Mauricio. I think I think Willie Castro
has been hot recently, but I'd probably go Ronnie Mauricio
just for upside. I think looking at a maybe top

(44:04):
twenty am I potentially, I don't know. I like him.
I think the power and speed is it looks legit
so and he's never really struggled for hit for a
good average, like, he's always made good contact in the
minors and is continuing the show to that. So yeah,
I like Ronnie maurso a decent amount, all right, Would

(44:25):
you rather have Ronnie Mauricio or he Sung Kim? I
would go Mauricio.

Speaker 1 (44:34):
Would you rather have him or Carlos Crea?

Speaker 2 (44:39):
I would go Mauricio. Okay, Trevor Story, oh god, Mauricio,
Oh god, Trevor's.

Speaker 1 (44:54):
Yeah, that's not great. There, let's go with I mean,
I assume like Glaber, you're still going Glabor.

Speaker 2 (45:02):
Right, yeah, yeah, for now.

Speaker 1 (45:05):
I mean he's the number twenty middle infielder on the
playwrader so combined second base, short stop. That's not necessarily
middle infielder. It's more like he'd be like thirty five somewhere.

Speaker 2 (45:16):
But yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean he's been he struggled recently,
but yeah, probably Glaber. Sure.

Speaker 1 (45:24):
Speaking of thirty five Andre Semenez.

Speaker 2 (45:28):
Oh uh, you know Jimenez has been awful, I'd go,
I go Ronnie Mauricio.

Speaker 1 (45:35):
Okay, So I think, uh, I think we got a
good place for where you like I mean, you like
you some. Ronnie Mauricio. I think I would probably have
him definitely behind Roman Anthony, probably behind Cole Young and
then like him and Kyle til depending on how much
I needed to catch her versus the middle infielder. But
part of that I think is they've already sent him
down once they waited for the PHANTOMI l stentt for

(45:58):
to bring him back up like this, does he have
does he have a spot in the lineup secured? Versus
you know, some of these other call ups seem a
little bit more as sure not out of camp. I
think he's probably back once Harper comes back, unless you know,
he really does just kind of smash. But yeah, I
like Ronnie Mauricio. I think you're a little bit higher

(46:20):
on him, But yeah, it could be a very nice
replacement for Bark Fiantos. Moving on, Ian Seymour is called
up by Tampa Bay Triple A this year. He had
sixty one innings, eleven starts, two nine to five year
A one two A whip thirty two point seven percent
strikeout rate and at five point eight percent walk rate. However,
they have not designated him as a starter or a reliever,

(46:41):
so we're not really sure what his role has look like,
or at least I haven't seen. What are your thoughts
on Ian Seymour?

Speaker 2 (46:52):
You know you put together the out line. Obviously I
don't do I don't do nothing. But I I didn't
even really know Ian Seymour prior to reading the alline
to be totally, To be totally honest, I wasn't aware
of him, and then so I started looking him up.
He does look and he looks good. I mean, I'm

(47:12):
not you know, I think there is something to like.
His numbers pop off the page from his minor league
numbers recently, but he's also twenty six years old at
those triple A numbers, so I don't know if he's
like he looks like the Rays are using him as
a long man out of the pen, so until like

(47:33):
Taj Bradley comes down with a phantom injury or Shane
b Bahz or anyone actually in the race rotation, is
someone's due for a phantom injury there? Outside of Rasmussen. Yeah,
you know, I don't mind him for now is as

(47:54):
a hold slash like middle reliever, but I don't know
if there's anything else really there because like he was,
he was old for his level in the minors, So
I don't know. Ian Seymour to me looks like a
weight watching weight unless it's an al only and you're
taking a flyer on a guy who maybe makes his

(48:16):
way into the rotation, but I don't think he's in
the rotation right now.

Speaker 1 (48:21):
Yeah, I don't know if he is or not. I
hope that he gets a chance to but I agree
he's probably just a long arm for now in Tampa.
That's almost the same thing at this point. I don't know.
I kind of just brought him up because again, the
numbers look really good, and like every stop along the way,
Gray not a guy that has any prospect buzz and

(48:44):
and honestly, he just kind of popped up in my
feet and I just started looking at the numbers like,
oh he he might have some random rays magic and
just put together a good season. He's always had a
high strikeout rate. He's a he's not a power pitcher,
but he works off of like fastball change. Uh, you know,
just somebody I thought what would be worth mentioning for

(49:06):
deeper leagues and somebody keep an eye out because the
number has been spectacular.

Speaker 2 (49:11):
Okay, all right, Greg, now that we finally.

Speaker 1 (49:14):
Got the number one prospect called up, who are you stashing? Now,
let's see, I think Chase Burns, Bubba Chandler.

Speaker 2 (49:29):
You know it was actually who I actually do have.
I those were names. I was, I was saying because
you listed them. And also I said them because like
a lot of people are stashing those guys, and I
know I read uh Itch's stash list from Sunday had
them had those names on there. So it's like I was,

(49:50):
I was saying names that people should stash with. That
said a guy who I actually do have stashed, a
player who I have on a tea team, actually had
two players on a team that are stashable. So I
have Andrew Painter, which I have no idea what's going
on there. I hope Lazardo or someone else comes up

(50:14):
with something and Painter comes. But you know, somehow Mick
Abel seemed to hurtle Painter up to the majors. So
I don't know. But Andrew Painter looks like he could
be really good. I don't know where he is. Oh,
actually I lied, I have three guys stashed, so I

(50:35):
have Andrew Painter stashed. I have Bryce Eldridge stashed, so
he looks incredible. Giants just dfad LaMonte Wade and No
sooner do you say that that? The Angels then were like,
we need him definitely. The angels are like, what did

(50:58):
you say you got real lay Way Junior. Oh, come on, man,
he's amazing. The Angels love a discard anyway, Bryce Eldridge
looks like incredible, Uh probably for twenty twenty six. I
don't know when he's coming up, but they the Giants
did dfa LaMonte Way Junior and have like nothing really

(51:23):
no reason not to like promote Elridge quickly. I mean,
he could come up, So I'm kind of excited to
see what happens there. And also I have Jacob Misowski.
I've had him stash for like a month. I don't
know what the Brewers are doing there, Like he looks
more than ready to come up. I don't know. I
don't know if he's coming though. I honestly I feel

(51:46):
like I get discouraged with Jacob Mesrowski because I feel
like he should have already been up, so like, why
are what are the Brewers dragging their heels over like
bring them up already, Like it's so stupid. It's like,
if nothing else, let him throw long relief and get
like some incredible long relief innings from him or something.

(52:08):
I don't know, but anyway, I have those three stashed.
I met someone in the comments that I mentioned that
they have Chandler Simpson stashed, which I don't hate that
if you really need steals. But I don't know. I
don't know why they would call him up. Like it's
not like he went down because he couldn't play defense.
So it's not like the Rays are gonna be like, oh, yeah,

(52:30):
he learned how to play defense in three games. Here
here he is again, like he he went down to
learn defense. He's not gonna come back in a week.
I mean, I don't know. I mean, maybe he does
come back quickly, but I just don't see it. I mean,
I'd be shocked if he's back before the trade deadline,
you know, like and that's like end of July, Like,

(52:52):
so do you really want to stash someone for that long?
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (52:56):
Maybe yeah, I mean I think there's no off chance
that they kind of stashed him, so he wouldn't even
have a chance Rookie of the Year because the n
l's there, there's nobody really going for the NL Rookie
of the Year. I guess it'd be like Drake Baldwin
and Augustin Ramirez and Nick Abel like that's your your

(53:21):
leaders for Rookie of the Year. Right now, I think so.
I really don't know why they sent him down. Maybe
his defense was that bad, but I just think it
was it didn't seem like that, like what he does
is what he does.

Speaker 2 (53:37):
You're talking NL. You're saying NL Rookie of the Year
and Chandler Simpsons and yeah, sorry, yeah that was the
wrong uh wrong side.

Speaker 1 (53:46):
There, but that I know.

Speaker 2 (53:48):
Yeah, yeah, no, I hear you, like.

Speaker 1 (53:50):
Even a l like nobody's running away like bags have
been up for a minute, like literally a minute. Jason
di Minga sucks, Christian Campbell sucks, Marcella Mayer sucks, Nick
cart is hurt, like.

Speaker 2 (54:03):
I said earlier in the show room. And Anthony really
could win the AL Rookie of the Year.

Speaker 1 (54:08):
Yeah, he could, like easily if he just starts hitting
and doesn't suck like every other call up. He could
just he could just take the AL Rookie of the
Year right now. Absolutely, Gray, Great. A couple of guys
I wanted to ask you about before we kind of
move on. Joe Adell, He's just mashing everything. Five home
runs since May thirty first. Since May first, he has

(54:31):
nine home runs. He's hitting two fifty six, three fifty four,
six oh five. Are we finally getting Joe Adele or
is this just one of the teases that we've gotten
over the years.

Speaker 2 (54:46):
I think it's probably just a tease. I've been burned
so many times on Joe Adell that I really don't
I don't see him ever really developing into a major
league player. You know, maybe maybe at the end of
the year you get like, like, what do he do
last year?

Speaker 1 (55:03):
So he did?

Speaker 2 (55:04):
He had twenty homers and stole fifteen bags and hit
two oh seven last year. If if he does that again,
is that is that a win? I mean that sounds
like that's kind of like other than the steals, he's
sort of on the same pace, maybe hits, maybe hits
two fifteen or two twenty instead of two oh seven.
But I don't know. I mean, twenty homers, five steals,

(55:28):
because he's he's only stolen two bags so far, So
twenty homers, five steals, two twenty.

Speaker 1 (55:34):
Is that a win?

Speaker 2 (55:35):
I don't know. You know, I feel like Joe Adell
is just like it's become like, you know, he uh,
he's a bit of a meme at this point. Like
I don't think anything. I don't know, I don't. I
don't really buy into Joe Adell. I've stopped buying in
like years ago. He seems like he's he's been hot,
I mean since May thirty first, as you mentioned, I

(55:58):
mean he's been hot for you know, roughly ten days.
That's fine. I just don't think anything's really changed with him.

Speaker 1 (56:06):
Okay, that's fair enough. I think I think you're mostly right.
I do think there's maybe a little improvement from what
he did last year, and just like I think the
average will come up from two seven. He's hitting the
ball harder, he's striking out less, you know, these are
good things. He's making more contact, all good things. So

(56:27):
I think he's getting a little bit better. But I agree,
I don't think we're ever gonna get the Joe Adell
that we thought we were gonna get it when we
saw this tooled up you know kid coming out of
like seventeen. The Angels played with him so much that
I don't even know it's him or the Angels at
this point. So yeah, that's unfortunate. How about another guy

(56:48):
who started the season poorly got hurt and no, I
didn't really know what to do with him great, and
that is Christian and Karnashian Strand. He has been back
for three games. He had three home runs. We got
sixty three games of i'll call it solid work in
twenty twenty three. In twenty twenty four, he gave us
less than thirty games of just pure disappointment. And then

(57:09):
this year it's been fifteen games of appointment followed by
three games of He's not in my lineup? Damn it.

Speaker 2 (57:16):
What's your thoughts.

Speaker 1 (57:17):
On Kristin and Karacian Strand. I actually use this to
trade him in a Dynasty league?

Speaker 2 (57:23):
Are you using are you using our podcast to work trades?

Speaker 1 (57:27):
Beat On? I already moved him, great, since he's already gone,
there's no additional benefit at this point.

Speaker 2 (57:33):
I just usually know we should do like that would
actually be a good so a cameo. I wonder if
there is a market for this. So we we set
up a cameo where like people say, like I want
you to say on video that Christian and Karcio and
Strand is better than healthy Alex Bregman say that on tamera,

(57:56):
so I can then play it to my league mate
and then trade him Christian Garcia? Is there a market
for this sound off? In the comments if there is
happy to do that or or whatever you work with
my audience here. You know what, it's like, whatever you
guys need. It's like, if you need me to say

(58:17):
on video, Bubba Chandler's better than Paul Skeins, let me
just tell me. I'll do it.

Speaker 1 (58:25):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (58:26):
No, I think Christian Garcio Strand actually is kind of interesting.
That's this isn't for a cameo. This is for me
actually saying something. I think Christian garcio Strand has like
really good contact this year at least, and you know,
it's like under twenty games, so a little bit of
a small sample size, but he's making really good contact.

(58:47):
He's a bit unlucky on the babbit. So if he's
hitting two sixty right now, he's hitting two twenty nine.
But if he's gonna hit two sixty, which his numbers
say he could, So if he hits two sixty with
his power, because he does have like twenty five homer

(59:07):
power from even from this point forward, I mean he's
got really big power. So twenty five homers to sixty,
I mean that's basically Christian Walker, or at least what
you were hoping from Christian Walker, which you're not going
to get at this point. So yeah, I like. I
Actually I wrote up Christian and Garcio Strand in my

(59:29):
in my post this morning Monday. I really I like
what I'm seeing in the numbers under the under the hood.
So unlike Joe Adell, where I was really pretty man on,
Christian Garcion Strand is really interesting to me. I think
he could be potentially breaking out. I mean, he's still
young enough, and he hits like every time he's whenever

(59:53):
he's healthy. He's hitting for power everywhere, so that's not
an issue. It's just a matter of him hitting for
a decent average, and he did that in twenty twenty three,
like you mentioned, and it looks like he's doing it
this year. Just been a bit unlucky. So yeah, I'm
I'm a fan.

Speaker 1 (01:00:12):
Yeah, A lot of the numbers line up with that
that twenty twenty three season, Like Hart did, average act velocity,
you know, swinging strike rates actually down. Contact rate is
back kind of in line with that, or even higher
than that. I'll run to fly balls in line. So
like a lot of numbers kind of lining up with
that twenty twenty three that we thought we were going

(01:00:33):
to get last year. That didn't happen.

Speaker 2 (01:00:37):
I mean injuries heard.

Speaker 1 (01:00:38):
Him last year and just he just took a little
step back. It's it's looking good right now. I didn't
love making the deal, Honestly, I've always liked Strand, but
I needed some support in my pitching staff. I am
like top three across the board in every offensive category
and middle pack across the board and pitching, and that

(01:01:00):
league is very top heavy, so I have to come
after the itch. When you're in a dynasty league with
your prospect guy, it's a ap. It can be challenged,
is your who'd you get FirstRand?

Speaker 2 (01:01:11):
Again?

Speaker 1 (01:01:12):
I traded Strand for a second round pick along with
how did I get? I got Matthew Boyd Paddock one
hundred and fab and a second round pick, so it
was fine. I think it's a fine trade. I got
what I needed and I got a pick for next year,

(01:01:34):
so I'm not just completely throwing away my future as well.

Speaker 2 (01:01:39):
Yeah, and then sound bad, It sounds it sounds fair, yep.

Speaker 1 (01:01:43):
And I think you've already nailed the spectrum of Christian
Incarnessian Strand. It's it's somewhere between what you expected from
Christian Walker and and healthy Alex Bregman obviously Gray, which
we're saying on camera, so you can go ahead and
uh go and send that money over West. Thank you.
Uh you know, uh random x x X three. Uh yeah,

(01:02:05):
thank You's set sagone off it up, Gray Dodgerland Copek
comes back finishes a game on Sunday. It was a
four run lead. Do you think this is maybe signing
signaling a closer change or just an easy spot to
get his first work of the season.

Speaker 2 (01:02:24):
I don't know, you know, I I kind of ran
into it that it seemed like a position where you
would use a closer, like it was it was it
turned the lineup turned over, so he faced the top
of the lineup.

Speaker 1 (01:02:37):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (01:02:38):
He started with the nine nine hitter, but then he
ended up facing the top of the lineup and it
was a four run lead, and Tanner Scott was used
in the eighth, so it was like he was already
off the table. So if the you know, if there
was any like if a run, like if Tanner Scott

(01:02:59):
gave up a run, the guy who was there was
going to be Copak. So that felt to me like
Dave Roberts was signaling that Kopek is the actual is
going to be the closer at least sixty forty between
him and Tanner Scott. And Tanner Scott's been so terrible,
but you know Kopek also, you know, we'll see how

(01:03:20):
healthy he remains. So yeah, I don't know right now.
I have both of them actually in one league, our
RCL league. I picked up Copek, I have Tanner Scott still,
so I'm holding both of them until it becomes a
little bit clearer. But I think Kopek might be the closer,
or at least have the lions share the job.

Speaker 1 (01:03:43):
Yeah, yeah, I think it might be more than just
an easy spot for work. Great. I don't I don't
know if I'll call any closer change, but I definitely
think he's going to get a share of the work here. Yeah,
another struggle of East coast, you know, living here, I
have to deal with you being on the west coast
seeing Copec do that, me being long asleep, Yeah, Arizona.

Speaker 2 (01:04:07):
I mean it was a it was probably day. It
was probably over at five pm ear time, since it
was Sunday. But yeah, just let me I understand you
got to sleep.

Speaker 1 (01:04:18):
At four in the afternoons, so let me complain, okay
that that I never get anybody in r c L
because as soon as the nuisance, like seven people have
already gone to check if he's there. It's it's very annoying.
Over in Arizona, Shelby Miller got to save last week.
He and Justin Martinez both had to save here in June.
Do we think this is a committee?

Speaker 2 (01:04:39):
Do you do?

Speaker 1 (01:04:39):
You think they just both are terrible and we're just
gonna they're gonna not give anybody the title so that
you know they don't turn really really bad. What what's
the thought?

Speaker 3 (01:04:48):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (01:04:49):
My my gut says that Justin Martinez is the closer.
Uh but because like he had a time, he had
a struggle a couple of weeks ago, he had he
we went on to the il because he was he
was struggling to bounce back after he was pitching multiple
days in a row. So my guess is Justin Martinez
is the closer, but he can't throw that many days

(01:05:12):
in a row. So Shelby Miller will see his share
of saves as well. And he's been good. I mean,
you know, Shelby Miller is actually worth rostering in most leagues,
just because he's been good, and he also should get
a handful of saves, So you know, I think they're
they're trying to manage Justin Martinez' workload, is my guess.

Speaker 1 (01:05:36):
Okay, so you're hanging on to Justin Martinez primarily, and
Shelby Miller's just kind of a if you've got a spot,
a daily type of thing.

Speaker 2 (01:05:43):
Yeah, I think so.

Speaker 1 (01:05:45):
All right, Rice Eliglecias still may close games, but they've
announced he's not the primary closer, and it's definitely not
Craig Kimberl. So who are you grabbing? Greg?

Speaker 2 (01:05:55):
Actually, just I was laughing at Roster Resource as the
our bullpen as the closer. Yeah, I don't you know.
Actually I had Pierce Johnson so slowly cross his legs.
I had Pierce Johnson in uh N only and I

(01:06:18):
dropped him and I regretted it briefly, and then I
was and then and then he gave up like runs
every outing this past weekend, and I regretted it a
lot less. So yeah, I don't know, I don't know.
And he's a righty, So that's the like that would
be my first that was my first thought. And then

(01:06:40):
you know, I think Dylan Lee has looked the best,
but he's a lefty, so that's not good. Aaron Bummer, Uh,
you know, name Aside has actually been okay, but he's
a lefty as well, so I don't know. I you know,
it's a tough situation to figure out because Rozzio has

(01:07:00):
been awful, but no one behind him has really stepped
up and been very good. I guess Dylan Lee is
probably would probably be the one guy I would roster
outside of Rossiel Galasias in most twelve team mix leagues
and shallower if you're really struggling for saves, I think

(01:07:22):
Dylan Lee I would hold onto Rossio Iglesias, but I
would probably hold onto them on my bench, and then
in the fifteen team league, i'd probably open that up.
Until a fifteen team mix league, I'd probably have Rossielglacias,
Dylan Lee, and Peter Johnson, but again i'd probably be
I'd probably be benching all of them until to see

(01:07:43):
if someone emerges, unless you're really struggling for saves and
you have to get someone. But in like most leagues,
I would just bench them and see what happens, and maybe,
you know, maybe Dylan Lee gets like two clean saves
this week, and then you know, you miss those two saves,
but then at least you have some idea of what

(01:08:03):
the brains are going to be doing, and next week
you can then you can start Dylan Lee or something.
So I don't know, I'd probably bench them all, but
my my guess is Rascila Glacia is Dylan Lee, and
then Pierce Johnson.

Speaker 1 (01:08:18):
Yeah, I would also potentially look at Anial Delos Santos.
He's been very solid this year, and just if they're
going off of who's pitching, well right now, it's not
been Pierce Johnson. I do think he's probably above Delo Santos,
just in Sticker's head in the order. But eventually Johnson's

(01:08:40):
gonna keep blowing stuff. If he's going to so I
Yodelo Santos in leagues where you know, everybody's just grabbing
everything that's even close to being related to a save,
could be could be somebody that's interesting, really deep down
over in Milwaukee, Trevor McGill blows his save, he gets
a win. Are you concerned about his job at all?

(01:09:02):
His numbers have not been spectacular, but he's still kind
of getting the job done.

Speaker 2 (01:09:10):
Yeah, no, I think you know, I think I said
this in my bycom on Friday that I think I
wouldn't be shocked if mcgil gets traded at the deadline.
So I think I think Abnerribe is worth rostering, just
he's worth rostering in general because he's been so good.
And I wouldn't be shocked to see mcguil get traded

(01:09:32):
and a Rebay take over. So that, but that's down
the road, you know, five six weeks from now, so
you know, it depends on how deep the league is
and how desperate you are. But with all that said,
I think mcgil is still the closer, and I don't
I don't see that changing unless he blows like, you know,

(01:09:52):
three or four in a row.

Speaker 1 (01:09:54):
Yeah, I mean he does blow like one and every three.
But it seems to be good enough for them for
the time being. Like you said, he may get he
may get moved. I definitely don't mind grabbing Eribay either.
All right, Greg on the waiverse, give the people some bats.
I'll give him some arms and we'll get out here.

Speaker 2 (01:10:13):
Okay, So we mentioned these guys earlier. Joe Adel, Christian Carcion,
Tran been hot, been great, rosterable Joe Adell at least
for now, and Christian carcion Stran looks like for potentially
for the season, hopefully if he stays healthy. Okay, So
then Hazus Sanchez, he's been either somewhere in the top

(01:10:34):
three in the Marlins lineup, which you know, I guess
that's not that that's not that great of an endorsement,
But Hazeu Sanchez has been hot. He's actually he's number
three on the seven Day Player Raider for the last
week for guys under one hundred percent rostered.

Speaker 1 (01:10:53):
So there's that.

Speaker 2 (01:10:55):
Jeff McNeil's been hot. Marcus Simeon, Wow, what happened with him?
He's been hot though, so hot Simeon. Willie Castro been
talking about him a lot this week. He's been hot.
Jonathan India has been hot. Abraham Touro uh Toro delicious,
he's also been hot. Brooks Lee he's hot. Michael Bush

(01:11:18):
has been hot, Max Muncy, both of them have been
kind of hot. The Dodger one has been hotter than
the Sacktown one, but the Sacktown one's probably more available. Okay,
So then Chris Taylor, Angels Man Angels can do no wrong,
I'm kidding. They're terrible team. But they did pick up
Chris Taylor and he's been hitting. So there's that. Christopher

(01:11:41):
Morell has been hot, Trevor Story, we mentioned him earlier,
he's been hot. Ty Franz has actually been hot. And
win Seal Perez who's a guy who no one will
ever pick up, but he's been hot. Yep, that's that's
some good names there, great, great Gray. I don't know
Whence might get.

Speaker 1 (01:12:02):
Picked up in only leagues who get picked up in those,
So it's good to give people a wide variety of
names to pick up, whether they're available in or nine
streaming options. Gray Jamison tie On versus Pittsburgh, Edward Carberrobert
at Washington, Clark Schmidt at Kansas City, Bailey Falter versus Miami,

(01:12:26):
Charlie Morton versus The Angels, Dustin May at San Diego
and versus San Francisco, Brice Elder versus Colorado, Jack Letter
at Minnesota, and Miles Micholas versus Toronto and at Milwaukee.
There are some starts as always. If you have specific questions,
you can find us on Twitter. I am at rasbeat On,
Grays at RASB at rasball YouTube dot com, slash Rasballfantasy

(01:12:49):
or on rasball dot com in the common sections. Hopefully
you can make the right lineups right the man just
losing my ability to speak here at the end. Hopefully
you can make the right line up selections this week.
Get your teams moving in the right direction as we
are in the middle of it, Gray here in June. Hopefully,
if you played in the Wrestlam you got part of

(01:13:10):
your fab bids in the last one of the season.
And I'll talk to you later Gray, All right, Leeds
