Speaker 1 (00:13):
What's happening to Rasballer's very excited for an episode of
the Rasball Fantasy Football Show right here on YouTube. We
got bold preditions and crazy calls. One of our most
fun episodes of the entire offseason.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
Let's make it happen.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
Right now on the Rasball Fantasy Football Show.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
What's up everybody?
Speaker 1 (00:34):
Good evening and welcome back to the quint box again
once again trending for the third out of fourth week.
Last week, three of us had a buy, but as
they said, parents are out of town, the kids held down.
Speaker 2 (00:51):
I only came home to three holes in the wall.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
Nice job, gentlemen, Davy, Cruz and Jefferson holding it down.
That Jefferson underscore do one and Cruiser one two zero. Gentlemen,
I have to stay live on the air. Very very
nice episode. I listened back on it twice to make
sure I heard you correctly, and it was absolutely fantastic.
So Jeff well done hosting and Cruisy just crushing it
(01:17):
for twenty minutes on the solo pod making it happen.
Well done, gentlemen. Anytime you want to make that happen,
please do it. Joining me tonight is Matti Styles as well.
That styles zero eight and Derek underscore favrette as well. Gentlemen,
we have many comments already coming through. We have bullpredictions,
we have crazy calls. I've been doing a version of
(01:39):
this episode myself for seven seasons doing Fantasy football here
on RAS Bull. It has been Rasbull ras Ball. We've
been doing it for three seasons. Very excited to bring
the one back. It's always a lot of style and farett.
I will let you to gloat about your previous picks.
We know that's coming around the corner, so feel free
to take your time. I think styles up like seven
(02:02):
curk calls or something ridiculous. Derek might only have one
or two, but one of them broke my heart in
a majure way because I'm a mat you know, massive,
massive Austin Eckler guy, especially a couple of years ago,
drafted him everywhere. Derek told me not to. I did
it anyway. Proof is into putting. Well done, my man.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
We have a handful of bold predictions.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
We got some crazy calls as well, and new to
the panel this year, an NFL prediction as well. What
we're going off script from fantasy. We got an NFL
prediction also.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
General, good evening.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
We're gonna go around the horn before we do bold
predictions and crazy calls. I kind of explained the difference
a little bit in the NFL team prediction. But first
off script here, I want to go around the horn. Hey,
good morning, good evening, good afternoon.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
Everybody. Reintroduce yourself really quick to the panel.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
And we've all wrapped up or very close to wrapping
up a raz BOL drafts.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
So I look to here just one pick, one pick.
We have done them all. Davey, Kris and Jeff did
a lot of theirs, but Matt and Derek and I
have not been able to.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
So not a full roster recap. Just give me one
player you were thrilled at any position any found you
were excited to get RAS Bowl. Now the're all finished off,
Styles will start with you. We've got to death cruise
Derek in background the horn. Then we'll get into full
predictions and crazy calls. Of course, you can find everything
at football dot rasball dot com and make sure to
(03:27):
subscribe right here to the YouTube channel. Styles will kick
it off with you. Who's your favorite pick and Rasball
on your squad?
Speaker 3 (03:36):
If you would have asked me Saturday afternoon, it would
have been a different answer. But Saturday, or excuse me,
come Sunday afternoon. My favorite pick is my mystery irrelevant
Round twenty Sean Tucker.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
John Tucker of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I like that.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
Of course he's not gonna play it because Bucky's gonna
win the Heisman this year.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
But I do like the call there, Jefferson, about you
buddy picking rasbull Uh.
Speaker 4 (04:04):
You know this was an earlier pick, but I've just
seen his performance in the preseason thus far. It's such
Revon Henderson as a resident to rookie may myself. The
kickoff return just big play waiting to happen, excellent.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
I love that one a lot. We'll hear more about
Trevion later on Cruisie Goodie, my man, what's your favorite?
Speaker 5 (04:28):
I'm gonna cop out and I'm gonna be pretty happy
this year to drag Jamier Gibbs my first pick, kicking
and screaming into the court because I I drafted. I'm
pretty much in a lot of places. When he was
a rookie and it was a roller coaster ride. I
kind of it wasn't as high on him last year
(04:50):
and he was obviously this here, I'm hoping he will
continue that trend, but that doesn't always happen, that doesn't
always fall my way. But I'm looking forward to seeing
Jamiir Gibbs go this year.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
Love it the new Alvin Kamara. I'd love to hear that, Derek,
how about you, my man?
Speaker 6 (05:10):
Yeah, well I have Jamior Gibbs too, so I'm going
to take a little bit of Dave's love there. But no,
you know, the one that actually it's kind of grew
on me I didn't really think about too much about
it at the time, was cam Ward in the twelfth round.
You know, of course, I've got Lamar Jackson as my
as my number one quarterback, so I don't anticipate in
needing to use cam Ward. But you know, the more
(05:32):
I look at him and watch him on film and
just here, you know, the professional quarterback that he's becoming,
I'm really liking that pick, even if I only use
him just one week. I just really love that pick
in the twelfth round. So that might be a precursor
to some of my later drafts. Wait, wait around on
(05:54):
quarterback and get someone like cam Ward, you know, in
the in the eleventh, twelfth.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
Round man, bestball. It's all about shot in the dark,
especially when you get late. I love that could see
a massive rookie performance and so far it's animal obviously,
but looking great in the preseason as well. And don't
forget about Kevin Ridley, folks, my favorite one. I'm gonna
keeat because I can and technically none of you guys
can fire me. So I'm gonna go off script here
(06:20):
and I'm gonna go with my double stacks. I'll d
real stoked to get a quad stack on accident for
the Arizona Cardinals, which is absolutely terrifying I'm not gonna
lie to it, but also very exciting before the NFL
season starts. So I like the quad stack with the
Cardinals and also with the Falcons as well, Panix and Pits.
(06:40):
I know everyone's scared the Pits again. I'm rolling the dice.
I'm going for it. I'm excited about it. I like
my preseasons. Give me some Falcon, give me some Cardinals.
I'm gonna go with the double stacks that I was
able to acquire and accumulate in ras boll All right, John,
let's get into it. Eric, You're gonna handle it behind
(07:01):
the scenes here, Styles, I'm gonna have you go first.
You're gonna give us your first Bowl predition, Todd Through.
We're gonna go around the horn real quick. If anybody
just has like a well, Matt, I agree, or what.
Speaker 2 (07:14):
The hell are you talking about? I would love to
hear that.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
Ever, gonna go on to Jeff Dave, back to Derek
and then myself as well. Styles, without any further ado,
the Florida George.
Speaker 3 (07:24):
You and in most episodes, I'm gonna start with the Bears. Bears,
nobody else is talking about them, and that's for a reason.
There they are who they are right, They're the fourth
best team in the NFC North. So for me, my
first bold prediction is that Roma Doonsay is going to
(07:45):
finish with more PPR points than DJ Moore.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
Who did anybody hear draft Romonsay and rasbull Chance raise
your hands.
Speaker 2 (07:56):
Nice too. Three love to hear that, Matt, love to
hear that.
Speaker 3 (08:02):
He went too high in my leade, he was overdrafted.
I didn't get a shot. Well, I had a shot,
clearly not where I was going willing to draft him.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
But we know how you feel about the Bears. We
also know how you feel about Huskies. How do you
feel about Bears that were Huskies?
Speaker 3 (08:22):
I'm finally if I'm right, and I'm fine if I
jinx it. So it's a win win for me.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
In the comments on Doonsday or DJ more in Chicago sounds,
there's not really any disagreement.
Speaker 2 (08:40):
I like this a lot. Let's see the second year
breakout from room with Dooonda. I like it.
Speaker 6 (08:47):
Yeah, he's going off as the thirty third wide receiver
and in drafts this month at picks sixty eight. So
is this average ADP? So that that's that's really good value.
I think I think he's a great great selection.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
Likewise, get the value. O can alrighty, that's poll prediction.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
No on Roma Dunes finishes with more DPR points than
DJ Moore.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
Let's go on here, he sorr, you got all right?
Speaker 4 (09:16):
I'm keeping with a lot of the cam Ward love here.
I'm gonna spin it a little bit, and my bull
prediction is Calvin Ridley is a top ten receiver this season.
Speaker 2 (09:28):
Let's go. Let's let's turn back the clock for the OG.
I like that.
Speaker 4 (09:33):
Yeah. Well, I'm just looking just kind of at the
preseason game and just the roster, the Titans have. You know,
Ridley is clearly the number one target and he's not
really competing against anybody a bunch of rookies, uh, you
know and Tyler Lockett. I'm not too concerned about that.
I do. I think that Brian Callahan drafting Cam Moore
(09:56):
is going to get back to what he was more
like in Cincinnati in which he was one of the
top passing teams. And I see him going back to that.
Uh And in those seasons you know he had, he
had Jamiri Jamar Chase, but those he finished top of
eleven two times. But I think this time Ridley will
be in the top ten. And looking after the first
(10:18):
preseason game he cut three passes for fifty yards in
the second second drive with cam Ward so and then
digging into our RAS Bowl tools we have, remember they're
free for everybody to check out. Ridley average more points
and losses and Vegas only has him winning five and
a half games. So I see a lot of fourth
quarter comeback games and a high scoring affair for the Titans.
Speaker 2 (10:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:47):
I like to see that once again available at football
doll dot com.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
Any of our goals, and that's an interesting stet.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
We all want guys on high powered offenses looking to
score a lot of points.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
Folks, don't forget fantas, fantasy point.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
Those of you that quote unquote hate garbage time, why
if it happens, I get it, we get bitter.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
That sucks. Idtually understand, but it has for you as well.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
So you have guys that are trailing all the time,
Jacoby Myers or whatever, getting you know, seven receptions in
the fourth quarter.
Speaker 2 (11:21):
Those points matter. I like this a lot.
Speaker 1 (11:23):
Calvin Ridley top ten wide receiver and Jeff I have
to ask fans out there because nobody plays not APR anymore.
Speaker 2 (11:30):
Is this for all formats?
Speaker 4 (11:32):
All formats? I think the man this year, Yeah, you
can get them real cheap this year.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
A lot a lot of receptions too. I like to
hear that. All right, I got Roma Dunes and Calvin
Ridley on the board.
Speaker 5 (11:44):
Davy, you're up, Okay, I'm all. I'm going to a
team I expect to be high scoring on both sides
of the ball. I'm going to go down to the
state of Texas to the Cowboys, and I'm looking for
a big bounce back year for Dak Prescott, and I
(12:06):
think he's gonna be a top six fantasy quarterback this year.
He's he's been there before. Usually when he's healthy, he's
a he's a QB one and to the last five
years he's been in the top three. They've got they've
got a super tandem of wide receivers in Ceedee Lamb
(12:30):
and George Pickens. I love Jake Ferguson as a bounce
back tight end. With Cam staying healthy, Uh, They're They're
running game doesn't really impress me much. I'm not not
really a big fan of either Javonte Williams or Miles Sanders.
And you know, I know people love Jayden Blue, but
(12:51):
I think he's pretty much the the speed guy. You know,
he's not gonna I don't think he's gonna get a
ton of carries as a rookie. H And as far
as their defense goes, I think they're probably the offense
is gonna need to score a ton of points. I
think the defense relies on big plays and I think
(13:11):
they're probably going to give up a ton of points
this year. So I think as long as Dak Prescott
stays healthy, I think he's going to be a kind
of top six fantasy.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
Quarterback who I like it again.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
Dak hasn't been healthy for a full season in quite
a while, and before he broke his foot a couple
of years ago, he was on to shatter all sorts
of records in that offense. Obviously, it went upside down
in a hurry, but we'll see if Dak can get
back to early career. Cowboys are Cowboys are really I
mean Cee Lamb, ceed the Lamb, but cowboys are very
(13:46):
I don't know, I'm not drafting cowboys so far.
Speaker 2 (13:55):
Ridley, I like it, Derek.
Speaker 6 (13:57):
Yeah, you know it. It's funny because we don't talk
about these before the show at all. But my first
poll prediction looks a lot like the last one. I
have Dak Prescott as a top six fantasy quarterback as well.
That's hilarious, you know, literally for the exact same reasons
(14:18):
that Dave just mentioned. You know, I think ad I mean,
you know, like you said, you know, Stephen Lamb is
Stephene Lamb, but adding George Pickens is really going to
make a difference in this offense. I think, you know,
even that brings Tolbert even into play as a you know,
a late round flyer as well. In Jake Ferguson should
benefit as well. You know, again, Dave mentioned, you know,
(14:39):
lack of a strong running game and the fact that
they're probably going to be playing from behind, you know,
really just gives me the give me the thought that
Dak Prescott is going to be slinging the ball and
you know, if he last year was kind of the
last year for him. But if you go to the
year before, you know, where he his volume of passes
was high, he was a top three quarterback. There's there's
(15:00):
really nothing right now that tells me he can't go
back to that, you know, in this offense, you know,
with those weapons. So yeah, I have Dak Prescott as
the top six quarterback.
Speaker 5 (15:10):
It's it's funny. It's funny. When Bob and I did
shows last year together, we we hit on the same
points a bunch. So it's good to see. It's good
to see I'm taking the barbaroll on the show.
Speaker 6 (15:26):
Yeah, I won't, I won't put him above you know,
Lamar and Josh and Jaden, uh, you know in Burrow
and and uh you know, mister tush Push. But after that,
I think he there's a very good chance that he
could be right there. So I have him at six.
I couldn't go any further than six, but I haven't
at six.
Speaker 2 (15:46):
I love it.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
That's really cool that you guys double up on the
on the same player and we'll see what happens. I mean,
you're getting major value one back now too, because everybody's
scared away. People aren't really vibing with the Cowboys right
now because they're not vibing with themselves. So DAK is
another one of those like attack qb ones, you can
draft as a Q two and a massive upside game
(16:07):
to game obviously in in the you.
Speaker 6 (16:10):
Know, and you can really you know you're talking about
Stacks guy, you can really stack him. I mean not necessarily.
I mean you could with Seedee Lamb if you get
one of the early picks, but you could you could
stack Prescott and George Pickens pretty easily, you know, in
any draft. I mean, for Prescott's going about ninety three overall,
and uh, you know, picking was I saw him when
(16:32):
we were talking about the other guys. He's at yeah,
sixty four, So yeah, you could you could certainly, you know,
get Pickens early and then or earlier and then just
come back and wait on DAK and get a nice
little stack there.
Speaker 5 (16:47):
Yeah, I see, I see a lot of the mobile quarterbacks,
even the guys like Drake May and bow Nicks going
ahead at Prescott Drug.
Speaker 6 (16:58):
Yeah, I'm in a I'm in a large guilteen draft
right now, and that's actually one of those strategies. And
I'm contemplating. You know, I'm on the seventeen eighteen turner.
I'm at the very end, so I might. Uh, I'm
setting myself up for that possibility stack in those.
Speaker 4 (17:15):
Twos before we move on. I'm in the same camp
as y'all.
Speaker 6 (17:24):
Uh oh, did you have well look at that top five?
Speaker 4 (17:31):
Shit you not? Fellas?
Speaker 5 (17:36):
All right, I've got a bolt prediction. Maybe one of
us will hit on a different point in the next.
Speaker 6 (17:45):
Do you have any other reasons why, you know, other
than what we've stated. Do you have any of the
reasons to think that he's going to be there?
Speaker 4 (17:52):
Yeah, just I was looking back all his finishes in
odd years. He has finished as a top eight quarterback
twenty three QB three, twenty one, QB eight, and nineteen
QB two. So twenty five why not keep that trend going?
Maybe he's fully healthy this year, So it makes you
believe and like y'all said, no running game gonna have
(18:14):
to rely on the passing attack, which is going to
directly fall on him. And we're looking at his receivers
with the addition of George Pickens Cowboys, of one of
four teams that have a receiver, they have two receivers
in the top thirty being drafted in fantasy right now,
the other teams being the Bengals, the Rams, and the Lions.
So for drafting his receivers, he's got to do well
(18:34):
as well. So it doesn't seem too far fetched to
think he's top five this year.
Speaker 6 (18:41):
Yeah, so I have to know which of the top
five quarterbacks does he surpass.
Speaker 4 (18:46):
In your mind, I think it's gonna be Jalen Hurts.
I think the Eagles kind of regress a little bit.
But the O line banged up right now, is we're
seeing Saquon. Is he gonna be really Saquan again after
all those touches? I think maybe, And then a lot
of I've seen a lot of analysis where they rank
in these quarterbacks. Hurts is always on the back, you know,
(19:06):
the top tiers. A lot of executives don't really think
his arm is all that and so if they've got
to start passing a lot more. I don't know if
Dalen Hurts is really that guy and has to rely
on his rushing to get his fantasy scores.
Speaker 6 (19:22):
You know, at least at least three of us will
look like geniuses at the end of the year.
Speaker 4 (19:29):
Never know.
Speaker 1 (19:31):
Wow, interesting. I'm not doing QB rankings here. I haven't
even looked at it, to be honest with you, But uh,
I don't. Don't think I have Dak top six. But
I liked a lot. That's what we're doing is bold predictions.
Well done, gentlemen.
Speaker 2 (19:45):
So three of you. That's awesome. And Jeff jumped the
gun on round two just because it makes sense. I
like it a lot. All right, Well, I'll stick with
a quarterback.
Speaker 1 (19:54):
It's not Dak Prescott, so Cowboy fans can can take
a breather. Here my first Bowl prediction. I gotta throw
another shout out to the Huskies.
Speaker 2 (20:04):
I'm gonna go.
Speaker 1 (20:04):
Michael Pennix is top twelve QB right now. He's a
quarterback twenty four. I'm not gonna say this is easy.
It's a bold prediction for a reason. But the last
game of the season last year, I get it. Week eighteen,
a lot of guys aren't starting, but the Falcons and
(20:25):
the Panthers in week eighteen had no reason to sit anybody,
and he was QB seven on the week three hundred
and twelve yards two tutties. We know Drake may or
Drake excuse me, went nuclear that week. I expect a massive,
massive season from Drake London and Kyle Pitts. I'm serious,
jokes aside. I just feel like it's kind of a
(20:46):
rebirth with him with some new blood. I really do
believe that he's going to have a great season this
week as well.
Speaker 2 (20:52):
I did not put him in.
Speaker 1 (20:52):
Bold predictions, but he certainly could be one. And then
Bijon Robinson, who's kind of the consent running back one,
and we know they can do that through the air
as well. They have other weapons. Darn Old Mooney's not
even healthy right now. He'll come back. I think the
Falcons are gonna surprise, and that starts with Michael Pennix.
Go with him as a QB twelve QB one, that
(21:15):
is top twelve QB right now, getting him as a
back end to QB two to me, that's a steal
all day long.
Speaker 2 (21:21):
In the late rounds, especially if you wait.
Speaker 3 (21:27):
I dig it, it's bold, it's bold.
Speaker 2 (21:31):
Any just blatant objections.
Speaker 5 (21:35):
Nope, No, I just drafted him in like the I
just drafted him in like the fourteenth round of the draft.
So I'd love to have a top twelve quarterback. It's
Mike QB two.
Speaker 1 (21:47):
He had some pretty serious injuries in college, so he can't.
He's one of those quarterbacks that can run, like Justin
Herbert doesn't get credit for run because he doesn't run
in the NFL. He ran a lot in college and
it was very good at it. Michael Penix can run.
I don't think they're gonna let him, and he won't,
so that's not really a thing. So that that generally
(22:08):
keeps him keeps quarterbacks out of the top five, six,
eight range because rushing quarterbacks just have such an ceiling.
It does cap the ceiling. But of the non running quarterbacks,
I could see him being upper echelon of those guys,
Matthew Stafford. I don't know if bonus is there yet,
(22:29):
but I could see it happening Justin Herbert.
Speaker 2 (22:31):
Maybe Joe Burrow obviously.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
Is elite, but some of those other guys that don't
run I could see Penis being in that group, which
is to me top twelve.
Speaker 2 (22:41):
So that's where my bot prediction comes to play. All right,
both predictions around the horn. Here we got Roma Donesday
out pacing DJ Moore.
Speaker 1 (22:50):
We have Dak Prescott top six or five quarterback all
around the horn there, Andon Henderson you get a name
for himself as well, and then I have Michael Pennix
as well. Let's get into round two. Before we do that,
let's check the comments section real quick. I want to
(23:11):
give a verbal shout out. So Goldman, who was in
my Rasboll division. We had a lot of chat in
the sidebar. Appreciate that Bob was really good calling me
out for my auto drafts. And I appreciate that Bob,
we should all be called out for auto drafts. And
Dave kept my name off the record, which I also appreciate,
and his holiday bonuses in the mail as we speak
(23:34):
for not calling out the boss. But the app situation,
I couldn't use anything on my phone period.
Speaker 2 (23:41):
It just wasn't working, so I had to make all
my pits and rass ball in the computer.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
But like some people, I have a job and a life,
and I was only able to do that every other day, which.
Speaker 2 (23:50):
Was a disaster.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
So Bob shout out and thank you and Jamie. We're
not crazy yet, but we're on our way to get crazy.
Always appreciate you tuning in as well, and to all
the other listeners right now tuning in, I want to
give a quick shout out. We have one and it
might already be filled spot in the g League, the
Game League for rasball, and we have a few left in.
Speaker 2 (24:13):
The listener league.
Speaker 1 (24:15):
So if you're very interested in being one of those,
make sure you mention it below and we can maybe
take care of that for you. We have drafts coming
up to make sure you let us know immediately that's
something you're interested in. All right, let's go into round
two here. Uh, Jeff, you're off the clock in round two.
Speaker 2 (24:31):
Feel free to get a glass of milk, you know
what I'm saying, water garden, take a pup for a walk,
whatever you'd like to do.
Speaker 1 (24:38):
We're out for round two. Dak Prescott QB one, we
heard you, loud and clear. Styles You're on the clock.
Round two of Bold Predictions to what do you got?
Speaker 3 (24:50):
Rookie Wide Receiver Discussion, Bold Prediction and Mega Ebuka plus
Matthew Golden will outpace Teteroa, McMillan, US, Travis Center and
a PPR.
Speaker 1 (25:04):
Can we get a can we get a live or Matt?
Can we come back to you for ADP's currently on these?
I think I love you do this every year and
you always stick it, and I love these. It makes
the most sense if you have the ADP comparison right,
because that's where.
Speaker 5 (25:22):
I think's got the lower I think Matt's got the
lower guys ranked ahead of the higher game.
Speaker 1 (25:27):
He does he always does, and I love that. I
just want to get the actual numbers so he can
piece of Matt. You wouldn't mind if we can come
back in a bit rally those up.
Speaker 2 (25:35):
Please let us know. You do it every year and
I think you're two for two or three for three
on this, so I I love it. Uh A Mecca
is an automatic for me.
Speaker 1 (25:46):
I was talking to Jeff in another Dynasty rookie draft
I recently.
Speaker 2 (25:50):
He got Sniper right before me. I missed out. But
he's an automatic.
Speaker 1 (25:53):
Especially God went out right now and then Matt Golden
shout out to our practice in the audience or may
not have been missed by me as well, but the
other two are getting more of the hype, So I
like this a lot. Jeff with you, you don't have a
bold prediction in this round. You already give it to us,
but you're a you're a rookie. Consultants quick thoughts on.
Speaker 4 (26:17):
This in general, it's very bold. I disagree with one,
but I can see I can see this happening. But
I do like one of the guys. He doesn't like
a little bit a little bit more, and there's no
bias there. I promise I'll take that later.
Speaker 3 (26:35):
McMillan and Hunter.
Speaker 6 (26:40):
Breaking News, Matt takes a Packer, Breaking News, Matt picks
a Packer addictions.
Speaker 1 (26:54):
I'm I'm immediately gonna get good and getting mad off
the hook here. The Packers haven't drafted a wide receiver
in the first round since I've been alive.
Speaker 2 (27:01):
I'm pretty sure we'd have to check the stats. We'd
have to check the stats.
Speaker 1 (27:05):
But the entire career of Aaron Rodgers are like, you
know what, dude, Jordan Nelson's probably good, DeVante Adams is
probably good, and the other thirty guys that we missed
on are probably good. Not in the first round. So
now that he's got a guy, let him, let him
enjoy it. Derek, jeez, it's kind of a low pow
knock a lot.
Speaker 3 (27:22):
And I led with a bear.
Speaker 2 (27:24):
That's hey, man, Matt. You know what, Matt shown a
lot of maturity this season. I'm not gonna lie. I mean,
he's really shown it side of him so.
Speaker 6 (27:32):
Far, because is not sitting in the top chair.
Speaker 5 (27:36):
If he was really bold, we could have picked a Viking.
Speaker 3 (27:40):
No, there's no Vikings to pick that rookies.
Speaker 2 (27:43):
That's so he does have tac his on his RASBLE team,
though I do.
Speaker 3 (27:48):
McMillian is twenty eight, Hunter is thirty one, Golden is
forty two, Abuka is forty eight.
Speaker 2 (28:02):
Yeah, Luca's still that low.
Speaker 3 (28:07):
If you want to be bold, be bold, if you
want to play by the rules, then you take the
two higher ranked guys. I go out on a limb.
That's what I do.
Speaker 2 (28:19):
I like this straight up. I like Travis Hunter a lot.
Speaker 1 (28:22):
Obviously, if he's really gonna play both sides of the ball,
I think it's gonna be hard for him to be
as elite as a wide receiver, not elite, like higher
than these other guys.
Speaker 3 (28:34):
And by the way, if I don't hit this nobody
will remember when I do hit it, You'll never forget.
Speaker 6 (28:42):
Actually true story. Before you guys came on, you know,
we were going through these and Matt's banners from last
year's predictions were still earlier, and we reviewed those and
he actually hit on two of them. Two of the
four he hit on.
Speaker 3 (28:56):
So tell them what I didn't hit on.
Speaker 6 (28:59):
No erase that to save your save you from the embarrassment.
Speaker 3 (29:03):
It's pretty bad, fair enough.
Speaker 6 (29:06):
That was a crazy call.
Speaker 3 (29:08):
That was a bad prediction.
Speaker 2 (29:10):
That's why we do it, Matt.
Speaker 1 (29:11):
Matt's bold prediction was that Baker Mayfield wouldn't finish as
a QB one, and he did.
Speaker 2 (29:16):
And so it didn't work out unfortunately.
Speaker 3 (29:18):
Yeah, and by the way, I have I have a
couple of extra if you want to. I have two
more and that'll cover Jeff who's out already, and then
one of them is for the host. So let me
hit you with the last two. Whoa, whoa, Yeah, this
will be quick. I'll be quick. Garrett Wilson finishes outside
(29:40):
the top twenty four.
Speaker 2 (29:41):
Oh, Dave, Dave's not gonna like to hear that. Dave
doesn't want to hear that.
Speaker 3 (29:46):
I don't think it's going to be close to twenty
four and the other one because sky was on time tonight.
Speaker 5 (29:53):
There.
Speaker 3 (29:53):
It is just reveling that.
Speaker 1 (29:57):
Man, Ricky p topteen season little low to me, Matt,
I do appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (30:03):
Holiday bonus headed your way as well. Good work.
Speaker 3 (30:05):
Well that's what Bob said. We never saw a holiday bonus.
Speaker 1 (30:09):
Yeah, I'm not Bob, and that's Ricky Piersall shout out
so nice.
Speaker 3 (30:15):
Pierce All top fifteen wide receiver, Garrett Wilson outside the
top twenty four, neverfields.
Speaker 2 (30:22):
Man even in even New Jersey for no reason. I
love it all right.
Speaker 1 (30:27):
Jeff already went with the dak Prepscott top five kind
of one up the boy.
Speaker 2 (30:31):
I like to see that. We like to keep it
competitive here. David Cruz, you're up number two.
Speaker 5 (30:35):
Well addiction, okay, my bold prediction. Number two is the
position I about the position I cover, and it's it's
not a guy that's gonna blow the lid off anything.
But I think as long as Matt Stafford stays out
of a wheelchair, I think Tyler Higby's going to have
(30:58):
a pretty good bounce back here. And I see him
as as at least a top twenty tight end in
fantasy mid tight end two, maybe even a little bit higher.
He's a guy that usually gets gets when he's healthy,
he usually gets a lot of targets, and he got
He had a couple of games last year coming back,
(31:19):
and he came back quicker from his injury than a
lot of people did.
Speaker 4 (31:25):
He had.
Speaker 5 (31:25):
He had had a knee injury in the twenty twenty
three post p season, and he was playing again before
the end of this regular season, and he had a
pretty good, pretty good game in the playoffs. So I
think I think Tyler big Higbee's being very much underdrafted
this year. He's I was looking on some of the
(31:47):
rankings I was seeing, and they have him as like
a low tight end three. I think maybe Terence Ferguson
might be the future in Los Angeles, but I don't
think the future is now. I think I think Higby's
going to be uh the guy, and I think Matt
Stafford trusts him a lot, So I think I think
Tyler Hagenby is going to have a pretty good bounce back.
Speaker 3 (32:13):
I've seen Higbee drafted once and that was in scott Fishball.
Speaker 5 (32:18):
Yeah, he didn't get drafted in my division.
Speaker 3 (32:21):
In Rasbell yeah, you're muted, skuy.
Speaker 2 (32:30):
I like it. Keep it bold, baby.
Speaker 6 (32:34):
Yeah, there's a lot of a lot of fish to
feed there on the rams. But uh, I do I
do agree. I think uh Matt Stafford does like Higbee
and he's got a good hands, so there's there's a
chance that this one comes through. But I say there's
a bold prediction. There's a lot there's a lot of
a lot of greedy hands out there waiting to catch
that football.
Speaker 2 (32:55):
I like it a lot. I like it a lot.
Good work, all right, Derek, you're a number two both.
Speaker 6 (33:01):
Yeah, I'm going back to the rookie well, so I'll
bring in our rookie expert here in a minute to
get his opinion. But my second Bowl prediction is Marion
Hanson will be a top ten fantasy running back above
Ashton Gents. So I asked you didn't get another rookie
love because of the volume there. But I have actually
(33:21):
Omaron Hampton to be above him at the end of
the season and a top ten fantasy running back.
Speaker 3 (33:31):
Top Ten's not bold above.
Speaker 6 (33:35):
Well, pair of together and I'll take what I can get.
I mean, you know, Naji Harris is there, He's already injured.
We know that script. I think Omary is going to
have every opportunity to run with this on a good
team that really needs to win early. So if he
(33:56):
can come out of the gates pretty fast, he can
he can take them already. Roll in this offense, I do.
Speaker 4 (34:04):
I like.
Speaker 6 (34:04):
I like this even better before they lost their you know,
their Pro Bowl offensive lineman to the season ended injury
the other day. But still, I'm gonna stick by you.
Speaker 5 (34:15):
At least it wasn't a guard.
Speaker 6 (34:18):
Yeah, yeah, so so, But anyway, I'm sticking by it.
A'mary Hampson top ten fantasy running back above Ashton genty
when it's all said and done.
Speaker 3 (34:29):
Mm.
Speaker 4 (34:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (34:31):
And I don't even throw I don't throw the sweetener
on it. He's a Rookie of the Year finalists m.
Speaker 2 (34:39):
Twice.
Speaker 4 (34:39):
Yeah, I like it.
Speaker 2 (34:41):
Any justin Herbert fans out there, you are, Oh, Jeff.
Speaker 4 (34:48):
Thoughts, Yeah, No, I was actually considering a mole prediction
similar to this myself. Actually, I don't think it's too Hampton.
I did think about that honestly, though, But no, I do.
I like it a lot. I wonder it's kind of
how good the Raiders are going to be this year
(35:09):
with the new staff and just kind of how it
all plays out. I think a Marion goes to a
better system. So this is it's bold, but I think
it's very viable though that it happens.
Speaker 1 (35:21):
Okay, real quick, real quick, Broncos win the AFC West
Chiefs are and second obviously Charges of Raiders, third, Chargers.
Speaker 6 (35:32):
Chargers, And I might even amend my my bold team
prediction later to say the Chiefs finished third in the West.
Speaker 2 (35:42):
Give it to me, absolutely, give it to.
Speaker 6 (35:45):
It's not there, it's not there, but you brought it up.
I can see us. I mean, how many games did
they win last year? You know, by less than seven points.
When you take half of those and make those losses,
they're in third place in the West.
Speaker 1 (36:08):
You guys, ever see the graphics that going on social
media where literally just.
Speaker 2 (36:11):
Inverts all of the all of.
Speaker 1 (36:15):
The records at the end of the season or something
like that, so it has like all the bad teams
really good, like the two and fifteen team is fifteen
to two and blah blah blah. It's yeah, like yeah,
or it has like in one score games, if all
the one score games were the different outcome, what would happen,
and the Chiefs were like ninth in the NFL if
(36:36):
their one score games just went the other the ones
that they won they lost, which obviously we know is
like one possession or two or a field or whatever.
Speaker 2 (36:44):
So that'll be really interesting. We'll see what happens. I
like that a lot.
Speaker 3 (36:49):
But at least, guy, they didn't copy each other this time.
At least they did. They came with.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
Their own, their own stuff. Yeah, good on you guys, Yeah,
the original gentlemen.
Speaker 5 (37:00):
If Derek went for Tyler Higbee, I'd be sweeping my
place for bugs.
Speaker 3 (37:04):
You guys are you guys are doing great with the
not copying this time? Good?
Speaker 6 (37:08):
Yeah, Oh be hater you can, you can. You can
revel in our in our success. Later, that's true, we'll
bring you along.
Speaker 3 (37:15):
I wasn't sure that was the Is that the gas?
You guys are all three of you have gas?
Speaker 1 (37:23):
It's a virus. Matt, be careful, be careful. We're gonna
get we're gonna get flagged here. Let's be let's be easy,
all right. Bolt prediction number two for you boy, turn
them back the clock. Alvin Kamara returns to greatness. I
put him at number ten, which I actually think will
happen for sure, and I was like, that's not bold,
So I made it number six because that's where he
(37:45):
ended up in his rookie season when he was behind
Adrian Peterson and mark Ingram. He came out of nowhere
as the RB three on his own team, and he
won people a bunch of gigs in twenty seventeen.
Speaker 2 (37:57):
I understand they're down off the lineman.
Speaker 1 (37:59):
I understand I don't have a quarterback under saying Chris
o'lave might not be Chris o'lave. I just don't like
Taysom Hill's not playing here, and if he does, it's
an accident. The only reason Alvin Kamara hasn't been the
best running back in the NFL for the last three
years is Taysom Hill. I could see him being just fine,
scoring enough his eighty to ninety receptions, not targets. He'll
(38:24):
get over six to seven hundred receiving yards. His touchdowns
will inflate back to normal. I think he's being really underdrafted.
RB fifteen, which actually has gone up in the last month.
I just did an article about two weeks ago. He
was only twenty four. Now he's RB fifteen, So thankfully
that's corrected itself. But in PPR leagues, I'm gonna get
(38:46):
Alvin Kamara back in the top six as my Bowl prediction,
realistic prediction for me is top ten. I'm drafting him
everywhere I possibly can, as my RB two or three.
His value is ridiculous. Give me a K for one
back at the top.
Speaker 3 (39:02):
Quick quiz. Since he's become the starter, what's the lowest
overall running back he's finished? What number?
Speaker 1 (39:11):
Oh I think it was like overall this season? I
think it's I'm gonna go ten.
Speaker 3 (39:22):
The lowest he's finished and he's become the starter.
Speaker 5 (39:24):
Was eight in PPR p PR.
Speaker 3 (39:29):
That's only way we played, Dave. Come on, now, we're
not playing by Bob's rules.
Speaker 2 (39:35):
This isn't Mike rules.
Speaker 3 (39:37):
Yeah, Bob played kickers and defense leagues only, but Bob
drafted the Jacksonville kicker three days ago. Come on, now,
I don't think that it doesn't It won't go down
in any record books.
Speaker 1 (39:58):
This ridiculous absolutely should absolutely shows a new by four yards. Yeah,
Alvin Kamara top six? Anybody objected, I mean, if you
ridiculous in top six?
Speaker 3 (40:08):
But Derek, do you have your new background.
Speaker 4 (40:11):
Ready to go.
Speaker 6 (40:14):
No, I don't, okay.
Speaker 3 (40:16):
So let that Let the fellows know where you and
I in our championship season drafted our first running back.
What round and what his name was?
Speaker 6 (40:26):
Well, I can tell you the name. I can't tell
you the round that's that's going.
Speaker 3 (40:30):
I can tell you the round, all right, go ahead,
round six. Alvin Kamara was our running back. One.
Speaker 2 (40:39):
Let's go.
Speaker 6 (40:40):
Yeah, and we and you all know how that turned out.
Speaker 4 (40:45):
By the way.
Speaker 3 (40:45):
Yeah, hold on case that you didn't know.
Speaker 2 (40:50):
Old the trophy, of course, that's shiny.
Speaker 3 (40:58):
Oh it's it's basically oh yeah, that's nice. I was
told that my wife said size doesn't matter when this
came into mail.
Speaker 2 (41:07):
Not true. I don't.
Speaker 1 (41:08):
I don't care what size the trophy is. That's a
big deal. Good for you, mane I wish I could learn.
Speaker 6 (41:14):
But hold up one more time, Matt, Yeah, one more time,
just for good since I didn't get to store it,
you know during the off season.
Speaker 2 (41:24):
Man, is that a two hander?
Speaker 3 (41:27):
I'm not spending seventy bucks.
Speaker 2 (41:32):
Awesome. We like prediction.
Speaker 1 (41:35):
We covin Kamara top six, give me his value all
day long. I love it, all right, gentlemen.
Speaker 2 (41:44):
Next round is we're going into crazy call mode. People
my binging at home. What the hell is a crazy call? Yes?
Speaker 1 (41:51):
I did make this up years ago because when you
hear bull prediction on certain networks, which we named because
we're friends with everybody, they're like bullet predict Alvin Kamara
catches twenty six, pass it, and you're like, dude, that's
not both.
Speaker 2 (42:05):
But they don't want to be wrong. That's more of
what it's about.
Speaker 3 (42:08):
Right.
Speaker 2 (42:10):
We're about being right and winning people leagues with value.
So a bolt diction is.
Speaker 1 (42:16):
Alvin bouncing back to form on a horrible A crazy
call would be if I said, Alvin Kamara lead the
league in touchdowns and is RB one Both probably very unrealistic,
but it's a crazy call based on something. So crazy
call is an extra level or two of sauce, whatever
flip pair, I mean, whatever flavor you'd like. An extra
(42:39):
level or two of sauce is a crazy call. So
take your Bolt predictions, add some sauce, add a little
more sauce, make it a crazy call style as you
have first your first crazy call.
Speaker 3 (42:50):
All right, I hope everybody's sitting down.
Speaker 2 (42:53):
Christian Standing Podcast, Christian McCaffery.
Speaker 3 (42:57):
And Lucky Irving finish running back one to two.
Speaker 1 (43:00):
Let's go, dude, that's another holiday bonus free. That's two
in one episode, unheard of. Who's the Ducks? Let's go?
Speaker 2 (43:15):
Oh man, I mean.
Speaker 1 (43:19):
Pop quiz. Christ McCaffrey didn't go to Oregon, but he did.
He was best college football player in the Pac twelve
or Pac ten. I believe Pac ten Stanford was sick.
Speaker 3 (43:35):
Who's the better all time athlete at Stanford? Eldrick Woods
or Christian McCaffrey.
Speaker 2 (43:42):
Wow, John.
Speaker 3 (43:45):
Or John Elway? Interesting?
Speaker 1 (43:48):
I mean athlete, it's not even close. Quarterbacks are not
like I'm sorry, I'm not doing that player. Maybe John
Elway is not close to the athlete. I get it,
played baseball, like I understand he's not.
Speaker 2 (44:02):
Christian McCaffrey.
Speaker 1 (44:03):
Christian McCaffrey is a kick returner alone would have made
the NFL. Dude, is absolutely phenomenal.
Speaker 2 (44:09):
I love it. Christian McCaffrey and Bucky Irving one and two.
Speaker 1 (44:13):
I mean, all of my fantasy football teams are gonna
be winning championships. Matt, I appreciate it. Your Award extra
Large is in the mix. Well done, Jeff, You're back
on the clock.
Speaker 4 (44:25):
Well done.
Speaker 2 (44:26):
You're Pennley Box crazy call number one, go for.
Speaker 4 (44:29):
It, ready to go, You're like this one sky crazy guys.
The Falcons will have four players in the top ten
of their respective positions. So Michael Knicks top ten, Bijon
top ten, Drake London top ten, and then lastly, I'm
back on the train. Kyle Pitts in the top ten.
Speaker 2 (44:49):
Let's go.
Speaker 3 (44:59):
Yep, drunk on Kyle Pitts.
Speaker 4 (45:02):
I'm back, Jeff.
Speaker 2 (45:04):
It's real quick.
Speaker 4 (45:05):
Never never pits, but I'm on.
Speaker 2 (45:07):
I love it.
Speaker 1 (45:08):
I never, I didn't, I didn't ask you rehearse, I'm
putting you on the spot. But Jeff, I have to
see your best dirty bird live on camera right now.
Speaker 2 (45:19):
Nice not bad, not bad. Jamal Anderson is all about it.
Good work. I agree.
Speaker 3 (45:28):
It is so how quick that is daytime strip club dirty?
So when the when the c team is trying to
get there, getting rolls and nickels thrown.
Speaker 2 (45:46):
Hey, man, you got any of the bills whatever.
Speaker 3 (45:49):
It's hey, it's it's legal tender.
Speaker 6 (45:51):
It all adds up.
Speaker 2 (45:52):
Yep, Jeff, you got so.
Speaker 4 (45:55):
When I was looking back to see how often this happened,
I found seven instances of this actually occurring since two
thousand and nine. Can you recall any team that had
four players finish in the top.
Speaker 2 (46:10):
Ten Rams Bengals, Nope, no, neither one of them.
Speaker 4 (46:21):
I didn't in the Rams, so I can further get
back to you on that one.
Speaker 2 (46:24):
But done, neither one of the really cup Woods, and.
Speaker 4 (46:31):
You got to remember the title as well.
Speaker 3 (46:33):
Top ten The Lions, the Lions last year.
Speaker 4 (46:37):
Yeah, the Lion has done it back to back years, surprisingly,
which I was kind of shocked by that.
Speaker 2 (46:41):
But yeah, give me the Eddie Lacy Packers.
Speaker 4 (46:46):
I did look at them. They did not make it.
A row got hurt that year Eddie Lacy went off.
So that was the Indianapolis Colts.
Speaker 3 (46:59):
Oh, Edrin James.
Speaker 4 (47:01):
No, No, not edgdo Joe would die? Yep died.
Speaker 6 (47:08):
None of the Drew Breese years in New Orleans made it.
Speaker 4 (47:11):
I did not see them.
Speaker 3 (47:13):
That's the two Lions, two Lions, one Colt. Is there
a fourth one?
Speaker 4 (47:17):
Yeah? So the twenty ten Falcons did it with Tony
g as a tight end, Roddy White, Michael Berner, Turner,
Matt Ryan, Roddy the twenty thirteen Broncos or Julius No,
it was actually Themarius.
Speaker 5 (47:34):
Thomas fifty touchdown Peyton Manning. Mm hmmm.
Speaker 4 (47:41):
And is that for the running back?
Speaker 2 (47:46):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (47:47):
No, no, Chamarano.
Speaker 2 (47:49):
Oh nice, okay.
Speaker 4 (47:52):
I then also found the twenty fourteen Cowboys.
Speaker 2 (48:00):
That one just doesn't seem fancy to me. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (48:03):
The last one was the twenty seventeen Chiefs. Can you
name the quarterback?
Speaker 5 (48:10):
Alex Smith?
Speaker 2 (48:11):
Al Smith?
Speaker 6 (48:12):
Yeah, Green.
Speaker 1 (48:16):
I was gonna go Elvis Gerbak, but that was a
little too far. Jill Montana, Steve should have won another
Super Bowl. Don get me started, nice, Jeff. I like
that a lot. Good stats, dude, good numbers. Good numbers tonight.
So the Falcons are absolute folks. Make sure you draft
(48:39):
everybody you possibly can. I like that a lot. And
don't forget about DeVonta Free Kevin Colan. All right, let's
move on. Dave Krickle.
Speaker 5 (48:48):
Yeah, I'm gonna have to step up my crazy game
next year. I only have Cuba Hubbard as a top
twelve fantasy running back in PPR. I know he's got
a leapfrog a few people, but I'm looking at some
of the guys that had a ton of volume last year,
(49:08):
and except for Beijon Sequon, Jonathan Taylor, Josh Jacobs. They
haven't fared too well the year after a three hundred
touch season in the past, so there's some opportunity for
some leapfrogging there. And some of the guys ahead of him.
(49:30):
He's currently like number nineteen, I think I saw, and
some of the guys ahead of him like Kyron Kyron Williams,
Alvin Kamara, Sorry, James Connor, and Kenneth Walker certainly guys
that can get hurt and have in the past. But
(49:52):
you know, he's gonna need a lot of a lot
of things to break his way to get up that high.
But I I do think he's going to probably have
the volume to at least challenge. I think I like
him better than running back nineteen, that's for sure, and
I think he can challenge as a running back one
in twelve teen leagues. One of the other guys that's
(50:16):
ahead of him that let me put it this way,
Brian Matthews put me out on Chargers rookie running backs forever.
So you know, hopefully you're right about Momari and Hampton, Derek,
but a rookie running back just kind of makes me nervous.
(50:36):
So I see, I see a I see several guys
that Cuba Hover can lead froud and they I think
he's going to have the volume to climb that ladder
if some of those guys fall down.
Speaker 2 (50:53):
Brian Matthews is a phenomenal drop nice pop quiz which
rookie Chargers running back drafted high in the NFL had
zero touchdowns as a rookie That became a fantasy elite
Hall of Famer problemson no zero touchdowns as a rookie,
(51:17):
and he played all the time. Chargers became very good,
very good, recent.
Speaker 5 (51:29):
Enough, nothing to stumped the panel.
Speaker 2 (51:35):
Wisconsin Alvin Gordon not score as the rookie, and he
played I believe fifteen games.
Speaker 5 (51:44):
I had forgotten that too, man, I didn't remember that.
Speaker 2 (51:48):
He didn't and then he became Melvin Gorton for five
years or whatever with the Chargers.
Speaker 5 (51:54):
He scored a ton of touchdowns at Wisconsin, that's for sure.
Speaker 2 (51:58):
They had a run of running back unbelievable. Love that.
All right, let's move on here, Derek, what do you
got for your crazy call?
Speaker 6 (52:08):
Yeah, I'm gonna drop a grenade in here because I
think a couple of you guys aren't going to be
very happy to see this one.
Speaker 4 (52:13):
But.
Speaker 6 (52:15):
Tyreek Hill outside the top thirty wide receiver. This is
akin to my you know, aforementioned call from a couple
of years ago, and when a top player was outside
I think I I was a running back outside the
top twenty five. I think that was the call of time.
(52:35):
So this is my.
Speaker 2 (52:36):
Call, Derek. Thanks.
Speaker 6 (52:39):
Yes, tyreek Hill outside the top thirty. Uh, you know,
he's already dealing with the oblique injury, had the wrist
injury last year with surgery in the offseason. Uh, you know,
he's just not getting separation anymore. I mean last year
his yards per catch average was the lowest of his
career three points six. He was averaging almost for over
(53:03):
four and a half in every year previous and he's out.
He was down to three point six. And then you
throw in the fact that Tua and his concussion risk.
I mean, it's it's imperative for tyreek Hill to have
Tua behind behind center. And if that, you know, if
that creeps up again and he misses time, then that
(53:26):
we saw it directly affects tyreek Hill, especially last year.
So I'm out on tyreek Hill, and I think he's
just going to you know, just like some of the
other boisterous wide receivers we've seen in the recent past
who tend to flame out spectacularly. I think this is
another case we've seen. We've seen the best of Tyreek
(53:47):
Hill and it's all downhill from here.
Speaker 2 (53:51):
I hate it, hate it. Derek not good at all.
Speaker 6 (53:57):
There's my grenade, quiz guy, let's act.
Speaker 3 (54:01):
Yes, there's nobody else in the room. Why is there
a trends negative?
Speaker 2 (54:07):
It's kind of it's just a personality thing. So, I mean,
some people do that. It's fine.
Speaker 1 (54:11):
He's a good guy. I like a lot who doesn't
like there, you know what I mean? But weird some
people just just look for the negatives and things.
Speaker 6 (54:19):
It's a crazy call.
Speaker 2 (54:21):
That's crazy called pop quizzy. Who was wide receiver thirty
and PPR last season?
Speaker 3 (54:31):
It's got to be Tyreek kill young Buck.
Speaker 6 (54:33):
No.
Speaker 2 (54:34):
Tyreek was eighteen playing harassing.
Speaker 3 (54:38):
Number thirty last year was Juwan Jennings.
Speaker 2 (54:42):
No Jean was than that.
Speaker 3 (54:47):
Jalen Wattell.
Speaker 4 (54:50):
Xavier you're worthy.
Speaker 1 (54:53):
No, let's say Matt had a bold prediction or crazy
about him. He's in one of my stacks for rather
Marv Marvin Marvin wide receiver thirty now last year Marvin Harrison.
Do you think of as like, yeah, I want that
guy on my team even though he underachieved, or are
(55:16):
you disappointed because that's what Tyer Hill would be if
he's wided receiver thirty.
Speaker 3 (55:23):
I would happily take Marvin Harrison's numbers for Tyreek Hill
this year, happy to take him.
Speaker 2 (55:31):
Really I wouldn't.
Speaker 1 (55:35):
But it's draft capital again, because I mean you're still
drafting Tyree Beak and what third round.
Speaker 6 (55:41):
You're drafting wide receiver one or borderline one two? And
if you if you roster h manster wide receiver three,
then you can take that risk. But you know, if
you're drafting is a wide receiver one or you know
at the one two? Uh, yeah, you're going to be disappointed.
Speaker 3 (55:59):
I will draft at the at the discount. I will
not draft him as a top two receiver for sure.
Speaker 6 (56:06):
Yeah, top thirty wide receiver is still going to be
a wide receiver three, you know, equivalent, so which is
not unplayable, but it's definitely not the draft capital. If
you're going to draft him in the second round or
early thirty.
Speaker 2 (56:21):
Nobody, nobody would feel moderately okay with Tyreek Hill being
Marvin Harrison's a rookie and disappointed, but he still put
up good numbers. It just wasn't consisting.
Speaker 1 (56:34):
You're not drafting Tyreek Hill at all this season and
him finishing thirty and you having bio.
Speaker 2 (56:41):
Left in your Stumm.
Speaker 6 (56:43):
Yeah, he's being drafted with wide receiver fifteen right now
in NFC drafts at thirty two, pick thirty two.
Speaker 2 (56:50):
Yeah, that's rough.
Speaker 1 (56:51):
I mean, I feel like that's where we're kind of
at with the age and everything with these guys. Derek,
you mentioned all the cases for it, but all these
dudes that fall off, nobody expect them to actually do it,
and then they do it, and it's like, oh shit,
how do we not see that coming? So, once again, Derek,
I hope you're horrendously wrong on this for a number
of reasons.
Speaker 6 (57:11):
But well, you think it, falcons on your and get
on a falcons on your rosters, you'll be fine.
Speaker 2 (57:16):
Yeah. No, Darnol Mooney is obviously going to be better
than tyre Kill. I'm just saying in general, for him
to finish thirties pretty wild. Ye, all right, crazy call
it is.
Speaker 5 (57:25):
Ray Ray mcclod may be better than tyredy Kill this year.
Speaker 2 (57:29):
Hey, Oh see, Dave, Dave, that's going crazy. Good work.
Now you bounce back self right there. Wait, wait to
make up for it. Good work, my man, You're back
in good graces. All right, folks, This.
Speaker 1 (57:41):
One to shout out to Jefferson personally, like there's nobody
else in the room, crazy Paul.
Speaker 2 (57:46):
Treon Henderson is this year's James White.
Speaker 1 (57:51):
Any top five running back average ADP right now in
PPR leagues, running back twenty get it kick return for
the touchdown first much of the career. I love to
see that pass catching is back and it's cool in
New England. James White is one of my favorite running
backs nobody cares about of all time, and uh, I
(58:11):
could see.
Speaker 2 (58:12):
Travon Henderson being that guy.
Speaker 1 (58:13):
I'm not worried about anybody else that's going to touch
the ball, including Stuffan Diggs and Romandra Stevenson anybody else
in New England. So give Ravion like four hundred touches.
I think this kid's gonna be incredible. Top five is
a crazy call, obviously, but I think it's a really underdraft.
Most of us have him on our rastle teams. Love
(58:33):
me some Trevion. He's going to be my rookie standout
running back this year. I know Jeff anybody else.
Speaker 6 (58:44):
He's got a lot of helium right now, and I
don't know that's that's a pretty crazy call for me.
Speaker 5 (58:49):
I hope you're right.
Speaker 2 (58:53):
Likewise, all right, let's get back around the horn here.
We got creaty calls.
Speaker 1 (58:58):
We're up in an hour. None of us are about it.
It's bedtime. Some for of us haven't even eaten dinner.
But let's get through crazy calls round two and we'll
get to our NFL predictions.
Speaker 2 (59:07):
Styles. You're back on the clock, all right.
Speaker 3 (59:10):
This one is similar to Jefferson's Falcons call. It's exactly
the same, but different. The Bengals will have the quarterback one,
the running back five, the wide receiver one, the wide
receiver ten, and still finish behind the Ravens in their division.
Speaker 2 (59:30):
Wow, now that's the parlay, folks. You feel good about it,
you feel great, You feel great, you feel great, you
feel great, And just to make a little more money,
you throw in that.
Speaker 1 (59:40):
You throw in the ultra bump man styles living large
with a five a five pick. Not that we condone gambling,
but that hell of a parlay, I like, just crazy
enough to.
Speaker 6 (59:55):
Work that's gotta be a plus eleven or.
Speaker 3 (59:59):
So, Matt, I don't I rely on other people to
look that up for me.
Speaker 2 (01:00:05):
Matt, Can I get a Can I get a Can
I get a yohas top?
Speaker 4 (01:00:11):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (01:00:13):
There?
Speaker 3 (01:00:15):
What's what happens when when goes down and Higgins finishes?
Number one is in number ten?
Speaker 2 (01:00:23):
Give it to.
Speaker 3 (01:00:25):
Joe will fend receivers to the Hall of Fame.
Speaker 2 (01:00:30):
Uh, Now, we don't have a defense, that's the problem.
Speaker 1 (01:00:32):
Does anybody does anybody realistically think the Bungles could win
the division?
Speaker 7 (01:00:37):
That's not a problem. That's great that they they don't
have a defense. It's good for fantasy, good for fantasy.
But Matt, Matt going here, they're gonna lose the Ravens.
We have the Ravens the favorite.
Speaker 2 (01:00:47):
We know that. Does anyone think that the Bengals could
actually win the division?
Speaker 3 (01:00:52):
Remember the Bengals missed the playoffs by one game. They
came out of the gates and lost. Anybody that played
Survivor knows they lost. We go on to the Patriots.
So they all they had to do was show up week.
Speaker 2 (01:01:05):
Some no matter.
Speaker 5 (01:01:09):
Somehow, no matter how bad we think the Steelers are,
they always wind up being halfway decent. It's amazing.
Speaker 3 (01:01:16):
Here's a third, here's a pretty crazy. This is Tomlin's
last year in Pittsburgh.
Speaker 4 (01:01:21):
Oh the Curse of a Rod.
Speaker 2 (01:01:25):
Yep, yeah, you.
Speaker 5 (01:01:28):
Think about it. He's been there. This is what his
twentieth season there.
Speaker 6 (01:01:33):
Yeah, I don't I don't think that's all that crazy.
Speaker 2 (01:01:35):
Actually, to be honest, Will prediction, that's why it's free.
Speaker 3 (01:01:40):
That was That's why it was free.
Speaker 2 (01:01:42):
Oh that was that's free pick of the day. I
like that that.
Speaker 5 (01:01:48):
Yeah, that we do cheap crazy here?
Speaker 2 (01:01:52):
Yeah? Nice?
Speaker 1 (01:01:54):
All right, Well we got a five picker here, we
got at one, we got a Chase Brown at two,
and then we got the wide receivers T Higgins mar
Chase one in ten respectively. T Higgins number one obviously,
and yoesh of Boston the top three, as well as
the Bengals fishing second in the division. Jeff second, crazy call.
Speaker 3 (01:02:11):
Go for it.
Speaker 4 (01:02:13):
Yeah, this is gonna be a little crazy. Last year
I went crazy with the etn RB.
Speaker 2 (01:02:18):
One was waiting like, when when are we going to
get the homer pick?
Speaker 4 (01:02:23):
Here it goes the last one. It's the last one.
This one's very wild, but you know, you gotta have
fun with this and if you get it right, awesome.
If you don't, hopefully you forget. But Travis Hunter will
finish ahead of BTJ. Let me tell you a few
reasons why. I know, Maddie, I know, I know, I'm
drunking on that on the Kyle Pitts, but hey, here
(01:02:44):
we go, though you hear me out for a second.
BTJ with Trevor Lawinz last year through weeks one through
ten was receiver eleven without Trevor. With Mac Jones, who
who Mac? He was receiver five. So he did better
with mac Jones and Trevor, And looking at preseason, Travis
(01:03:08):
Hunter is plaguing the slot. Christian Kirk was receiver twelve
and twenty two and Ingram was tied into in twenty three.
Trevor likes to throw to the slot over the middle
than going to the outside. He has a better completion
percentage at seventy percent when targeting Christian Kirk and Ingram
since twenty two and has thrown more touchdowns I'm sorry sorry,
(01:03:33):
fewer interceptions than throwing to the outside. So I look
at this situation. New regime, their first pick, they trade up,
they go get Travis Hunter, Liam Combe last year with
Chris Godwin. If he plays that slot role on a
pregame basis, he was receiver number two. So it's a
crazy call and a Homer pick. But wilder things have happened.
(01:03:56):
So Travis Hunter of a BTJ.
Speaker 2 (01:04:00):
Duvo question, Man, I uh, I'm just so, I'm such
a BJ Homer. I mean, there's no chance I'm taking this.
Speaker 5 (01:04:16):
Sorry, I'm no longer think.
Speaker 1 (01:04:21):
Now you're crushing the steps to night, Jeff, and I'm
going to give you all this. I got my HOMEO
pick coming up next. But give me b to the moon.
Speaker 4 (01:04:31):
I know.
Speaker 6 (01:04:31):
Let's the what's the over under on snap for for
him in the slot running into NFL linebackers. I give
him twelve twelve snaps, twelve catches being decked by an
NFL linebacker and he's not in that that role anymore,
(01:04:54):
it's possible.
Speaker 5 (01:04:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:04:56):
Well that's that's my ship. That's that's my issue. It's
not the talent. We always got the talent. He's extremely unique.
He's doing something that a handful of players have been
had the chance.
Speaker 2 (01:05:07):
Opportunity to do. Atte I agree with you, though, Derek,
I just like I think it's gonna be cool.
Speaker 1 (01:05:14):
It'll definitely happen week one because they have to take
advantage of it while they can. They're gonna try it out,
and it he smoked or it's just not successful. I
see him on the outside of best and then maybe.
Speaker 2 (01:05:28):
Halfway the season putting him at corner and more of
a fifty to fifty hybrid situation than like a receiver
that plays some cornerback like the opposite d On. You know,
I just don't see it happen.
Speaker 6 (01:05:42):
And make the Jaguars an exciting team to watch. But boy,
and I don't know. That's that's that's a hard that's
a hard one to come to grips with.
Speaker 2 (01:05:51):
Matt or Jeff.
Speaker 1 (01:05:52):
I've asked, I've asked you before, but I need an update.
If you have to pick one. Are you going peak
of the career? Keenan mccarill or Jamis I'm going Jimmy
I'm a jan fair enough you go big over little
is my point. That's all the same, big guy.
Speaker 3 (01:06:09):
Over Dallas Jimmy Smith or Jacksonville Jimmy Smith.
Speaker 2 (01:06:15):
Jackson Jacksonville. Jimmy Smith was a was a nummery You
kidding me?
Speaker 3 (01:06:20):
Letting go?
Speaker 2 (01:06:22):
Yeah, it's justin Blackman. But I mean re.
Speaker 1 (01:06:27):
Alrighty, let's get into our let's get into our next
bull prediction. We got the Homer pick, Dave, what you
got crazy number two?
Speaker 5 (01:06:35):
Crazy call number two. I don't know if it sounds
better that I screwed up the assignment or the dog
ate the crazy call number two. I actually slid my
what I thought would be my crazy call to into
my NFL team slot. So you can you can move
on to Derek.
Speaker 6 (01:06:51):
Well, make one right now, just make one.
Speaker 2 (01:06:53):
Off, Dave.
Speaker 3 (01:06:55):
I'll give you.
Speaker 2 (01:06:55):
I'll give you a mull again. We'll come back. You
want you want me to f.
Speaker 5 (01:06:59):
You want me to follow up Travis Hunter over Brian Thomas.
Speaker 2 (01:07:03):
Okay, that hard to do.
Speaker 5 (01:07:05):
As Russell will Wilson will be a viable fantasy quarterback
in twenty All right, move on to there.
Speaker 2 (01:07:23):
Count it.
Speaker 6 (01:07:26):
I didn't think I didn't think it could get crazier,
but you just.
Speaker 2 (01:07:30):
Did, Dave. Dave, like, how about this? Does Russell Wilson
outpaced Damis Winston this year in New York? What do
you they?
Speaker 3 (01:07:41):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (01:07:41):
If if Jamis Wilson starts for the Giants, it's over.
I mean they they'll they'll have their quarterback of the
future in the in the top three picks of twenty twenty.
Speaker 2 (01:07:53):
We just built We just built a crazy call organically.
Speaker 3 (01:07:56):
There it is.
Speaker 1 (01:07:57):
Dave's crazy call is Jamis Went is the team MVP
for the New Jersey Giants at the end of the year.
Speaker 2 (01:08:04):
That's how you do it, Darius Slayton to the moon.
I got you, man, Yeah, throw it up, throw it up?
All right, Derek, what's your number two?
Speaker 3 (01:08:15):
All right?
Speaker 6 (01:08:16):
Last year, this is gonna beat you know, you know
you say that, But I've only had one negative call
all night.
Speaker 3 (01:08:23):
Yeah, but that's the one that sticks out.
Speaker 2 (01:08:29):
Everyone focuses on the negative.
Speaker 6 (01:08:32):
Yeah. So last year we had a breakout rookie tight
end and brock Bowers. Year before, we had a breakout
rookie tight end in Samuel Corda. This year's rookie breakout.
Who's gonna shoot to the moon and the top of
the tight end charts is none other than Tyler Warren
Indianapolis Colts. Big frame six.
Speaker 5 (01:08:55):
Six, My Scott Fish team will be happy.
Speaker 6 (01:09:03):
Yeah, big big frame, great hands, one hundred and four
receiving receptions in over twelve hundred yards at Penn State
as a senior he's he's he's a prototypical tight end
who could just come in and dominate, and I think
he will because frankly, you know, whether it's Daniel Jones
(01:09:25):
or that other guy you know throwing the ball, yeah,
they're they're they're going to need to find someone dependable.
And you know, he's, like, to me, you know, kind
of fits a role like Evan Ingram does. You know,
you just throw the ball in the area and he's
going to bring it down. So I like this guy
a lot, I think. I mean, he's still he's going
ten or eleven tight end ten or eleven in draft,
(01:09:47):
so he's not, you know, certainly not coming out of nowhere.
But you know, the top end is we all know,
the top end of the tight end spectrum is elite company,
and to be able to break into that group, you know,
he's going to have to put together a massive season,
and I think he can do it.
Speaker 8 (01:10:04):
You want to see something interesting about Tyler Warren, go
look at his stats when he was when he was
given the opportunity to run the ball out of the backfield,
they trusted him enough.
Speaker 3 (01:10:15):
To play running back though he was the starting tight end.
He ran wide receiver routes as well. He is, he
has got all skill sets on offense.
Speaker 2 (01:10:25):
I absolutely love this, Derek.
Speaker 1 (01:10:27):
I thought I literally was going to do the exact
same thing, but I was gonna make Tyler Warren the
tight end one because the previous two guys were the
tight end one. And then I was like, that's just
too insane to like predict on any level, so I bailed.
But I had the same exact thought, and Sam Laporte
and Bowers last year were tight end one respectively. So man,
(01:10:53):
I mean, Kyle Bits is going to be tight end
one and then you have the other guys, so like
top five, but we could see him at tight end one,
which now we have an update.
Speaker 2 (01:11:00):
All of that well done.
Speaker 6 (01:11:02):
All right, there we go see positive Matt positive?
Speaker 1 (01:11:07):
Yeah, I love that you hey, count and Darrek to
throw some positivety I mean that's just kind of his vibe,
you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (01:11:13):
I like to hear that.
Speaker 1 (01:11:14):
All right, really quick, this should this ship the ship fast.
We'll get into NFL's get enough with the show. Uh,
somebody on the panel, anybody you tell me what my
second crazy call is.
Speaker 2 (01:11:27):
I already told you it's a Homer pick.
Speaker 3 (01:11:28):
What is it's uh, it's Ricky pearsol finishing and right
wide receiver ten or better.
Speaker 6 (01:11:35):
It's got to be Ricky.
Speaker 2 (01:11:36):
Pe Ricky p what good? Matt? I like that you
just laid it all out. Anybody else, Well.
Speaker 6 (01:11:46):
It's crazy. So I would say top eight. You'll say
top eight crazy, and the.
Speaker 3 (01:11:51):
Words league the words league winner will be in his
crazy call.
Speaker 6 (01:11:55):
Mold would be top twelve. Crazy, He's gotta be top eight.
Speaker 5 (01:12:00):
Wow yees, okay, crazy would be this year's jamar.
Speaker 3 (01:12:09):
Oh triple crown. That would be Sky's drinking again.
Speaker 2 (01:12:13):
Look at you, guys, Look at you guys, just speaking
into existence. Jeff, what you got.
Speaker 4 (01:12:19):
Rock party? Top five?
Speaker 2 (01:12:21):
Hey O, I love it. I love it all right.
Let's say stop my dog's chewing on me. Think you
all right? Crazy? Call Ricky pe top ten Styles knocks
it down, Derek. I'm definitely moving him up to top eight.
I like that.
Speaker 1 (01:12:37):
This is the type guy that could be a league
winner in your drafts. Give me a DP wide receiver
forty five, folks. He's the starter on paper right now.
He's the only person that catches passes outside of Christian McCaw.
I guess healthy that's not named George Kittle, Ricky p
(01:12:58):
h a few years removed after gunshot to the leg.
We like that, right, That's that's consensus and fantasy analysis.
He's better in year three off a gunshot under the leg.
Give me Ricky Piersoll Top ten wide receiver PPR Wide
receiver forty five. Right now, it's kind of joke, but
(01:13:18):
it also is a joke because Brandon Ayuke's not gonna be.
Speaker 2 (01:13:20):
Healthy till quote unquote probably week six. We know how
that goes. Get out of here, Get out here with
that chanhand. Don't get me excited.
Speaker 1 (01:13:29):
He's gonna take about a month back anyway. So I
used done until week ten. Juwan Jennings is my man,
but he's also battling issues right now. KITT's gonna be Kittle.
Who's gonna Kittle's gonna be I than one this year?
And then Christian McCaffery hopefully he's healthy as we go along.
But Ricky p and Purty are gonna be nice. Give
me Ricky Piersoll ten wide receiver.
Speaker 2 (01:13:54):
Golf clap. I like it, head, not a golf clap.
Speaker 4 (01:13:57):
I like it.
Speaker 2 (01:13:59):
Where not a Trump down Dave.
Speaker 1 (01:14:01):
But all right, folks, let's get into our NFL predictions.
We're gonna go around the horn here. This again is
not fantasy related. I mean, I guess it could tie
into fantasy. This is football football with commercials.
Speaker 2 (01:14:18):
Now you like that? Do you guys like that? Now
that we want more money, we're getting commercial never mind?
All right, big fan of the show? All right?
Speaker 1 (01:14:27):
NFL team predictions, NFL predictions, stylesier on the clock?
Speaker 2 (01:14:31):
What do you got?
Speaker 3 (01:14:34):
The San Francisco forty right, the easiest schedule in the NFL.
They win their division, they get a bye, they win
a playoff game, and they get boat raced by the
Lions in the NFC championship game.
Speaker 2 (01:14:49):
That's not how I thought that was gonna go. I
gotta be honest.
Speaker 6 (01:14:54):
Seems like, other than being the Lions, it seems like
we've seen that script before.
Speaker 2 (01:14:59):
Yeah, but then we go the other way around.
Speaker 5 (01:15:01):
It wasn't it.
Speaker 1 (01:15:01):
Wasn't it the Niners down by three touchdowns and then
end up beating the Lions. That's what I like to see,
all right, So the Lions end up in the Super Bowl, man,
is that what you're saying?
Speaker 3 (01:15:11):
Or it's more about the Niners actually being relevant with
that easy schedule, and I think what you said about
Ricky Pearsoll. I said it earlier, Top fifteen. Risky Pearsall
is going to be a league winner. I would pay
right wide receiver forty five ADP right now. I would
pay up by a round right now, at least to
(01:15:33):
draft him. I believe he's going to be a league winner.
If you can start with a Brian Thomas junior and
a Lad mcconkeye, and you come back with the Jacoby
Myers is three and Piersoll plays at flex at SA,
good night Irene, It's over.
Speaker 2 (01:15:48):
And then Dan Tavian Wicks will receiver five.
Speaker 3 (01:15:50):
Him right runs the best routes in camp. Can't catch
a football, hey.
Speaker 2 (01:15:58):
Man, Amari Cooper, same thing. Let's talk. Some of these
guys can be good sometimes.
Speaker 4 (01:16:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:16:03):
I like it.
Speaker 2 (01:16:04):
I like it. Matt your your your NFL prediction was
about nine. So well done, Jeff, how about you.
Speaker 4 (01:16:12):
I'm kind of piggybacking off my crazy call with the Falcons,
but I think they win the NFC South.
Speaker 2 (01:16:19):
Oh.
Speaker 4 (01:16:20):
I like the Falcons with the Penix running the show there.
You know, they scored thirty six points from week sixteen
to week eighteen under center. Their strength of schedule is
thirteenth easiest, So I think I like the Bucks, but
I'm not so sure. With leam Combe gone Baker a
lot of his receivers, I don't know how it's all
(01:16:41):
gonna pan out, but I'm gonna do my ride and
die with the Falcons winning the NFC South.
Speaker 5 (01:16:47):
That is big time football, man.
Speaker 1 (01:16:49):
I love it, and Dave you know I love you, man,
but I gotta jump ship here. Derek, I'm gonna cut
you as well. We're gonna have, for the second third
time on the show, the identical prediction. Atlanta Falcons win
the NFC South and win their first playoff game. So
I mean, if they win the division, that could be
wild card.
Speaker 2 (01:17:09):
Probably not.
Speaker 1 (01:17:10):
Let's hope that they have a real record and they
get a eye and do all the things. But either way,
they're gonna win their first playoff game as well. I
don't think that they can compete with the Niners, or
the Lions, or the Packers obviously, or Dak Prescott's Cowboys
break so I don't think they're gonna continue on deep
(01:17:31):
in the playoffs, but I'm gonna give them a home
game because they won the division. Take take somebody that's
actually good, like the Vikings or something going down to
hot Land and losing that first playoff game.
Speaker 2 (01:17:45):
Maybe it's Dallas. So I like the Falcons to win
the NFC South as well and win the first playoff game. Also,
that's my NFL team prediction, jumping the line a little bit.
Dave back to you.
Speaker 3 (01:17:58):
The free entry to Magic City, by the way, during
the NFL PL Okay, my.
Speaker 5 (01:18:08):
Okay. My NFL team prediction is the Las Vegas Raiders
will stay at least till Week seventeen. I think they've
got a shot to I think they've got a shot
to win ten games. Its cheer. I was looking at
their schedule. They've got nine home games this year, and
(01:18:32):
some of the teams they've got at home or the Bears,
the Titans, the Jaguars.
Speaker 4 (01:18:38):
Oh Shot, Cowboys, the Easy.
Speaker 5 (01:18:43):
Rounds, the Giants, and even when the Raiders are not good,
they're usually they're usually competitive in their own division. So
I could see them winning a couple of division games.
And the thing that's kind of holding the Raiders back
over the last few years is the defense has been
(01:19:05):
pretty terrible. I'm looking at the defense that they've got
this year, and they've got a lot of new faces.
Their linebackers are all are all three guys they got
in free agency, Jermaine Pratt, Landon Roberts, Devin White. They
also got Jamal Adams, Jeremy Chin, Terrell Edmonds, and Eric
(01:19:28):
Stokes in the secondary. And the thing to remember is
that Pete Carroll made his bones as a defensive coach.
He was a secondary coach in college and when he
was in college coaching, and then he became a defensive
coordinator later, so he made his bones on the defensive
side of the ball. And the staff he put together
(01:19:51):
in in Las Vegas includes Patrick Graham, who's done a
great job with NFL defenses in the past. And I
think they've done a lot of exciting things on the
offensive side of the ball in the last couple of years.
So I think the Raiders can stay in contention at
least and if not, get a wildcard spot, and I
(01:20:12):
see them having a path to win ten games. A
lot of the teams on their home schedule are probably
rated right around where they are as far as power
rankings go.
Speaker 6 (01:20:25):
So earlier we talked about the AFC West Dave, did
you have the Raiders over the Chargers for third.
Speaker 3 (01:20:37):
Oh, Derek's asking for a reason.
Speaker 6 (01:20:38):
Yeah, so, I mean, well, it's not unheard of, you
know that three teams can you know, come out all
the wild cards can come out of one division. We've
seen that before.
Speaker 3 (01:20:58):
It's just West Coast pick up. Nettle didn't even want
to be in that division anymore.
Speaker 2 (01:21:09):
Oh God, Carrol went to it though. I mean yeah,
I mean and I love.
Speaker 3 (01:21:17):
I love what Day brought with all of the names
and the the excitement and the change from a green
Bay fan that watched Derek Stokes for three or four years.
They drafted him because he's fast. He's not fast, and
he can't cover. He's If he starts for the Raiders,
they they'll be lucky to compete on the defensive side.
He's so bad, just awful. But we took Nate Hobbs
(01:21:40):
from the Raiders. I don't know if that's a I
don't know if that's good or bad either.
Speaker 2 (01:21:45):
Hey man, you guys got Josh Jacobs get should be.
Speaker 3 (01:21:55):
Running back of all times, Josh Jacobs Raiders, Josh Jacobs.
Speaker 2 (01:21:58):
Get out of here. Well, Dave, I like it.
Speaker 1 (01:22:01):
If they get ten wins, the problem isnt AFC. I
don't know ten wins gives you a bid. I see
ten teams getting ten wins. Maybe we'll see what happens.
Speaker 2 (01:22:14):
All right, Derek, give us your FINALFL team prediction. Let's
roll out here.
Speaker 4 (01:22:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:22:22):
So for me, I'm going back to the NFC North
where a met alluded to when he was talking about
the Niners. But instead of the Lions, I've got the
Vikings winning the North with thirteen wins, representing the NFC
in the Super Bowl. Oh, however, getting trounced by the
(01:22:47):
Buffalo Bills. The Buffalo Bills get their first Super Bowl
championship this year over the Vikings. But the Vikings will
dominate the NFC North this year.
Speaker 3 (01:22:58):
Is that one to four versus is owing four in
the Super Bowl?
Speaker 2 (01:23:02):
Yes? I was just gonna bring it up, Matt, well done.
Speaker 3 (01:23:05):
You know what you know? Love?
Speaker 2 (01:23:06):
You know who loves a storyline more than this panel,
Roger Goodell. Roger Goodell loves loves storyline. Man. I might.
Speaker 1 (01:23:16):
I might throw a couple of bucks on on the
makings and build just out of spite.
Speaker 2 (01:23:23):
I like that a lot.
Speaker 3 (01:23:24):
I mean, there's we don't condone betting on this show.
Speaker 1 (01:23:28):
I didn't say that I did. I was just saying
I might leaving it open. Crazy call. Yeah, you know,
I could throw a wager too.
Speaker 3 (01:23:39):
Because there is no way that we collectively venmo money
to Derek to place group bets. We don't do that,
nor will we have children involved in or that happens.
Speaker 2 (01:23:54):
We don't do none of that.
Speaker 3 (01:23:55):
We don't.
Speaker 2 (01:23:57):
No, no, well, we will be. We will be getting
preseason Super Bowl predictions coming up soon and we already
know what Derek's is. I like that a lot.
Speaker 1 (01:24:08):
So the Vikings go through the forty nine ers, unfort
I could see that, the Packers, through the Lions, through
maybe the Bears, through the Cowboys, as we talked about earlier.
Speaker 6 (01:24:18):
Eagles, and yeah for the Eagles.
Speaker 1 (01:24:24):
And by the way, I do not any longer have
Dante Bulpepper at quarterback. That's that's the concerned.
Speaker 6 (01:24:34):
Through the Red stand I mean commanders, you know, through
the Commanders as well. Yes, yeah, Vikings to the super Bowl.
Speaker 2 (01:24:42):
Wow, all right, folks.
Speaker 1 (01:24:44):
Well, hey, let's let's get done here in five minutes.
Make it a ninety minute show so that Bob Goldman
could go to sleep. I'm gonna go back around the horn.
No more analysis. I just want you to read off
your two boldredictions, you're too crazy cause your NFL prediction
recap files. I'm gonna go with you if you're ready.
If you're not, someone raise your hand and get it
(01:25:05):
rock and then we'll roll out here.
Speaker 3 (01:25:09):
You ready go, Romadodonsay finishes higher than DJ Moore and PPR.
Garrett Wilson is not a top twenty four wide receiver
because of justin fields at BUCA and Golden will outscore
McMillan and Travis Hunter in full PPR. Ricky Pearsall finishes
as top fifteen wide receiver Crazy Calls. Christian McCaffrey, Bucky
(01:25:33):
Irving finishes wide receiver one and two, not necessarily in
that order. Bengals will have quarterback one, running back five,
wide receiver one, and wide receiver ten while finishing second
to the Ravens in their division.
Speaker 4 (01:25:49):
And I'm out, nicely done my bull predictions. Dak Prescott
a top five quarterback, Calvin a top ten receiver Crazy Calls.
The Falcons will have four players a quarterback, running back, receiver,
and Titan Off finished within the top ten. Kyle Pitts,
(01:26:14):
that's right, stud last crazy call. Travis Hunter will finish
ahead of BTJ Homer pick. Lastly, Atlanta Falcons win the
NFC South.
Speaker 2 (01:26:28):
Day.
Speaker 5 (01:26:32):
Dak Prescott as a top six fantasy quarterback, Tyler Higbee
as a mid tight end to Cuba Hubbard will be
a running back one as my first crazy call and
my NFL team prediction is the Raiders will stay in
contention at least until until late in the seed.
Speaker 2 (01:26:57):
With ten wins. I like it therek.
Speaker 6 (01:27:01):
Yeah, Dak press that top six quarterback with my good
friends there.
Speaker 2 (01:27:07):
Love it.
Speaker 6 (01:27:10):
Yeah, Dak. Top six quarterback, Omaron Hampton Rookie of the
Year Finals, Top ten running back Tyreek Hill is toast
the way to be on the way to becoming Toasts.
Tyler Warren is your rookie breakout tight end of the year,
and Vikings win the North go to the super Bowl
(01:27:31):
only to get beat by the Buffalo Bills. In one
last one, our good friend Bobby eats another pair this season.
Speaker 2 (01:27:41):
It's gonna happen, Bob, live a little Come on now
you're married, man, have a pair. Christ life's in charge now.
Speaker 3 (01:27:52):
Bob doesn't get to choose his diet.
Speaker 1 (01:27:54):
Yeah, so it might eat two pairs then exactly she
she might be fond of fruits. Tell you what if
I was his wife beating fruits that I'm just I've
just thrown it out there.
Speaker 2 (01:28:11):
That's it. That's all all right, kids. Let's wrap up
the show here. Both prediction number one Michael Pennix Top
twelve quarterback right now, he's a Q twenty four. Both
prediction number two Alvin Kamara returns to whom he used
to be. To the sixth run back. He's going his
(01:28:31):
ADP running the fifteen. Crazy call Treon Henderson top five
running back. He's going to an RB twenty steal value.
Speaker 1 (01:28:39):
He's so great kick return just like William Crazy call
number two Ricky Piersoll top ten wide receiver ADP forty
five right now, get that value as well. And NFL
team prediction the Atlanta Falcons win the NFC South and
win the playoff game as well.
