internal terms here for the twenty twenty five season. We've

twenty four season. Mattie Styles, Derek Favrett, and Jefferson Keys

The flagship of raz Ball Maddie, Derek, Jeff We got
a fun one tonight. We're not gonna go super super
nerd alert on this one. This is just gonna be.
We're having a lot of fun. We built some super
rosters on our side. We don't know each other teams,
which makes it even more fun. This is fantasy football focused.

(02:04):
We are building out our best of Fantasy Football roster
based on the twenty twenty four final tallies for Fantasy
points in PPR. Of course, because there's only one setting
we're doing at each conference NFC and AFC. We're gonna
be announcing these live on the show. You're gonna see
them on the screen for YouTube. Of course, I'll repeat
those for the podcasters, and we're gonna be tallying what

(02:25):
their score actually was from the twenty twenty four season.
And then we're gonna see who has the best squad
that we put together. Now, there's some fun rules in
this one. We cannot use any We can't use any
players that have already been used from a single team.
So for example, if you pick the Ravens guys and
you use Lamar Jackson as your quarterback, you cannot use

(02:46):
Dereck Henry. If you use Jalen Hurts, you cannot use
Tekwan Barkley, and vice versa. So there's a little bit
strategy here, which quarterback Jamar Chase? Do you want Joe Burrow?
Do you want Chase Brown? Do you want t Higgins.
There's a lot of options here. You can only use
one of those guys per team, so we'll see a
couple of mix ups.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
All right.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Before we get into it here, I want to check
in with the boys. Gentlemen, it's been a couple of
weeks since we've had all of you guys on a
couple articles written, a couple of episodes, but we haven't
had a cop since the NFL season turned into the playoffs. Quickly,
let's go down the list here. I'm curious, what is
your most intriguing thing for recapping? Love it right off

(03:31):
the bat, Mattie Styles. Let me get kicking off with you, Bud,
what is your top most intriguing situation from twenty twenty
four heading into twenty twenty five so far?

Speaker 3 (03:41):
News broke today that Josh Jacobs, being a good team
guy and a leader, has said that the Packers are
three players away from competing for the Super Bowl. So
I'm curious to see what that means to the front
office and where those three players might come from. Hashtag
Miles Garrett trade.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
If you're if you're the front office and you are
a team owner. Of course in Green Bay they're matt
Are you going with t J. Watt or Miles Garrett,
Miles Garrett, Miles Garrett. All right, Derek, same question. Most
intriguing situation heading from twenty twenty four to twenty twenty five.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
Yeah, for me, it's going to be in the Motor City. Actually,
you know, Detroit came into the playoffs, probably the most
exciting offense, but they were the favorites in the NFC.
They lost both of their coordinators. You know, are they
gonna you know, Stan Pat, are they going to bring
in another superstar? What are they gonna do? I mean,
they got the taste of it. They've got the taste

(04:40):
of disappointment in the fact that they were supposed to
win and they got beat at home. First playoff game
at home in forever. So I'm kind of interested to
see what's going to happen in Detroit. Are they going
to be as good as they were this year or
are you know, are the long suffering Detroit fans gonna
just continue with their disappointing ways.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
Bigger fan of Eminem or Kid Rock Derek Eminem Eminem, Yeah,
I think that might be a landslide. Jeff, same question.
Most intriguing twenty twenty four to twenty twenty five.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
Yeah, I'm gonna keep my my Homer hat on. But
it's the Jags bringing in Liam Cohne and that whole
debacle there. I'm excited for what the offense is gonna
look like next season. Is BTJ just gonna be a
target hog? Are they gonna release. You know, rumors Christian
Kirk might be getting released, Evan Ingram cap hits. So
I'm really curious to see how the Jags off season

(05:37):
looks and who they bring in and this offensively, because
that just goes right into fantasy because the Jags were
supposed to be a good offense, but they weren't because
et A gonna get more work is bigsb not gonna
get the workload? Like, I'm just kind of curious to
see how it all plays out.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
I like that Jeff, we already knew what Mark Bruneau's
career looked like. Shout out to lefty quarterbacks, big up,
Steve Young. Would you rather have what you've got from
Mark Brunell or the promise of Trevor Lawrence moving forward?

Speaker 4 (06:05):
Damn?

Speaker 2 (06:06):
I love Mark Brunell. He's a He's a hero in
my book. Damn, I'm gonna go with the future because
the future is unwritten, you never know, So I'm gonna
go with Trevor. It's getting tired, it's it's now or never.
If Liam can't do it, I don't know who's gonna
be able to do it. So so yeah, let's just
go with that. We got BTJ. He has his Jimmy

(06:27):
Smith like Brunell had there. So you got to find
the Keenan McCardell. And then maybe they're on the maybe
T Higgins in the off season they bring him in.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
That's my boy, Southern boy went to Yeah, I went
to Clemson. I like that. I'm excited. I'll keep my
Homer hat on as well. I'm excited to see what
team we trade we the forty nine ers trade Deebo
Samuel to and how many picks we have to give
up for Miles Sanders. Miles Sanders, you guys remember Miles Sanders,
Miles Garrett and or t J. Watt. A lot of

(06:55):
trade talk going on with the forty nine ers. Of course,
we almost dealt Brendon Auk last year, Devoi go this year?
And how many picks we have to get to one
of those ed rushers to see if this window will
actually make anything happen for the Niners. So a lot
going on in the twenty twenty five off season here.
But let's get into the Pro bowls. Guys having a
lot of fun. The Pro Bowl, unfortunately for NFL terms,
is completely toast. It was super fun when we were

(07:18):
all kids. It's absolutely trash obviously now hashtag mid at best.
So we're we're gonna move off the NFL Pro Bowl.
We got a Fantasy Pro Bowl for you. Feel free
to drop in the comments any of your comparisons. Again,
you cannot use a player that's already been used for
a team. This will get interesting. I'm gonna kick it
off here. I'm gonna go with my first NFC quarterback.

(07:40):
For those of you on the podcast side, we have
two quarterbacks, two running backs, three wide receivers, a tight end,
and two flex not a super flex. We're already doing
two quarterbacks to two flex. We're doing NFC AFC. And
then I got some fun all timers for you at
the very end of the episode. Stick around. My first
quarterback here, Jaden Daniels, Washington Commanders. Again, I mean Rookie

(08:02):
of the Year easy. Unfortunately for my boy Nicks. A
lot of fun, a lot of comparisons to Lamar Jackson.
If he's in Andy, we're close for his fantasy career.
I will take it. Huge promise in the NFC playoffs
obviously this year as well. Jaden Daniels QB four on
the season, absolutely tremendous. That's my QB one so far

(08:22):
in fantasy. Mattle kicker right off to you, double up,
double it up. It's gonna go Jaden Daniels as well.
All right, we got two for Jaden Daniels. Derek anybody
different here?

Speaker 4 (08:39):
Well, no, that's where I'm going as well. He's he's
my top quarterback in this my first pick.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
Okay, so the formatting is Jayden Daniels. Now again, Well
let's see what do what Jeff does here? Yeah, four
bar right off the bat. Okay, so I saw that happening.
Here's why this happens, folks, and it'll get more exciting
as we go along. We're looking for the best possible
player for each team in the NFL. We all looked
at the Commanders and it's pretty simple. It's either Jayden
Daniels or Terry McLaurin. Terry McLaurin has more competition at

(09:12):
wide receiver for the BET and in the NFC, so
we're gonna go with Jaden Daniels a full sweep across
the board. Now, we're also typing in the overall Fantasy
points for each player, and we're gonna tally those up.
So right, now it's all tied up. Gentlemen. Good work
Jayden Daniels across the board for the QB one QB
two for me. Shouts out to Matt Styles, distant cousin
of Baker Mayfield. Gotta go with Baker Mayfield. He had

(09:36):
was a top twelve quarterback last year. He's a top
five quarterback this year. Matti Styles have to imagine has
him as well. He does. Double it up for Baker Mayfield. Derek,
I want to make it another three bar.

Speaker 4 (09:48):
It is gonna be a three bar, yes, Jeff Baker
Baker for me too, yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
Four Z's all right. So we got the two. We
have the top two NFC quarterbacks, leaving Jared Goff off
the board, which means we have some lions to work with.
That's what's gonna get interesting. I'm excited about that. So
we make it real quick. Our quarterbacks are all the
same so far on the NFC side, Jaden Daniels, Baker Mayfield. Again,
we cannot use any more Commanders or Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Sorry, Bucky, sorry,

(10:21):
Mike Evans. All right, let's move into the running backs. Then.
I think there's gonna be a few familiar names but
there's a lot more competition for these teams and players.
I'm gonna kick it off here with Saquon Barkley. He
is my number one running back. He was the number
one running back outside of Week eighteen because he sat,
and of course Jamiir Gibbs went nuts. But Saquon Barkley

(10:43):
is the number one running back for me, Mattie Styles,
same for you, Sir, Saquon Barkley as well.

Speaker 4 (10:48):
Derek, same for me as well. I tell you we
didn't coordinate these beforehand, but look at that.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
Jeff then yeah, same here.

Speaker 1 (10:58):
Okay, then let's guess who. This was gonna be really
interesting because I know some of you guys love you
guys love am On Ross and Brown. So we'll see
how this goes. But I want Jamiir Gibbs as my second.
He's the overall running back one because you count Week
eighteen if you did that otherwise, He's still the best
running back throughout the Fantasy Playoffs playoffs, and I love
that as well. So Jamiir Gibbs is my number two

(11:20):
running back. Matt you as.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
Well spelled with a Y, not spelled with a Y
at the end.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
Oh that's right, Jay, a H MYR.

Speaker 4 (11:36):
And we don't take off for spelling here, not tonight.
All right, well, this is where where we're gonna be
the first we're gonna have the first change. I went
with Bijon Robinson.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
Oh, p John Robinson. Nice. All right, Derek, you've been
the first one to be off script here. Uh. And
unfortunately we don't have a script here at Rasball. Some
other agencies do have scripts for their companies don't have one.
So Derek, please let us know why you went Bijon
other than Jumior Gibbs Am. My only only answer has
to be you got your boy on Monraw waiting at

(12:08):
the wide receiver position.

Speaker 4 (12:09):
Yeah, you might see that, but you know, I was
thinking about Kyle Pits at the tight end, but I
leaned towards Bijon at the running back.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
I love it, all right, Kyle Pitts. We'll see if
he comes up at the tight end tight end position,
we'll see what happens. Man. You might have some joh
Quiz Rogers as your other running back, but you went
Bijon Robinson. I like it all right. Jeff, how about you?

Speaker 2 (12:33):
But shout out to styles give me Josh Jacobs, who.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
There's a mix up, all right. Why Jacob's over the
other couple of guys because Jacobs is down the list
there at RB five or six.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
I believe, yeah, you know, just looking at all my options,
I wanted to keep a lot of options. Lie about
the packers. No receivers stood out to me on their roster,
and you know he was. He had fifteen rushing touchdown
which was the second most in the end, So I
feel pretty good about that.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
Awesome, I love it. All right. Well, let's recap here
the next the running back position here for the podcasters
Saquon Barkley unanimous across the top there, and then let's
see Derek and I both went Jamiir Gibbs and Derek oh,
I'm sorry, sorry myself and Matt the screens little tiny
for me and Derek went b Jon Robinson, and Jeff

(13:24):
went Josh Jacobs. You can see the totals there. Again,
this will fluctuate quite a bit, but after quarterback and
running back, Matt and I have three thirteen hundred ninety points,
Derek just behind at thirteen eighty four and Jeff pulling
up through a thirteen to fifty five. Let's get into
wide receivers. We have three options here. My first wide
receiver is jettas Justin Jefferson. We were a little bit

(13:46):
concerned because of McCarthy and then Darnold. Jefferson stayed hot
and they were incredible until the playoffs, unfortunately from Minnesota fans.
But Justin Jefferson did what he does. Matt Styles has
got him as well. That's two bar Derek, how about you?

Speaker 4 (14:01):
Yeah, that's gonna be three for me. He's he's the
player to take in Minnesota for this exercise.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
Okay, jeff keep it coming.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
Three h nine, mister Jefferson.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
Three own miss three oh nine. Not to be confused
with Pitbull. Of course, who's mister Worldwide? Different area codes anyway,
all right, Jefferson comes up first. That's another unanimous pick.
Next up, Ceedee Lamb. For me, that was a bit
tough to go now. Of course I want to go
on Monroe Sam Brown. Matt and I could not do

(14:34):
that because we both use Jamier Gibbs. Them's the rules,
so I could not go on Monroe Saint Brown. So
I went Ceede Lamb. Felt a lot worse than it
actually was. He ends up PPR wide receiver five. I
was good with it. Matt, sounds like you finally have
a different name than I do. Who's your second wide receiver?

Speaker 3 (14:50):
Spoiler alert, I do not have a Dallas player on
this list. Ceedee Lamb is an honorable mention. I'm gonna
surprise with it another honorable mention later. My number two
wide receiver is Malik Neighbors. O.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
I like it. The rook got two rookies on the board.
I like to see that Molik Neighbors man. Let's get
this kid a quarterback, Derek, how about you?

Speaker 4 (15:18):
Yep, Neighbors is my number two as well.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
All right, Jeff, I went a mon Raw Saint Brown.

Speaker 1 (15:27):
There you go, was able to because you did not
go Jamiir Gibbs. Well done. That's a nice sneak. There's
your wide receiver two in this exercise. That's gonna boost
you up the board. There. Let's see where that takes you.
Two fifty six and I'm on Ross and Brown. What
do you got? Three h two boom? Look at that
nice nice okay third wide receiver. Two of you have

(15:48):
already picked them. But I had Ceedee Lamb just ahead,
so I actually went Milik Neighbors as well. But he's
my wide receiver three. So we all love Milik neighbors.
Matt already went Malik neighbors. So who's your third wide receiver?

Speaker 3 (16:01):
All right? This is where it gets screwed up squarely
For me. I was not concerned with total points. I
was concerned with more points per game. Who stood out
to me who cannot be covered? Uh? And so my
number three wide receiver is going to hurt in the
overall point total. But bear with me and think for

(16:22):
a moment, how good who Ka Nakua really is?

Speaker 1 (16:28):
Nice? I like that, who could not.

Speaker 3 (16:31):
Be if it was not for that knee issue at
the beginning of the year, With the fact that that
Cooper Cup was not who he was supposed to be,
And how much Matthew Stafford loves Pooka Nakua and the
fact that he just catches everything thrown his way. Uh,
and I believe he was He averaged a Fantasy pros Jeff,
don't quiz me eighteen point nine per game.

Speaker 2 (16:55):
That makes it eighteen point eight eighteen point nine.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
When I'm done, got a boy. Uh. Matt thumbs up,
her thumbs down. Pooking a cool without Cooper Cup next year,
who probably goes to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Uh, pooking a
cool has two thousand yards receiving next year, two thousand,
two thousand, right on the now I give him, I.

Speaker 3 (17:16):
Give him probably eighteen fifty to nineteen hundred. He'll have
one hundred plus catches. Uh and spoiler alert on the
Cooper Cup. Nobody is going to trade for him unless
the Rams buy out a lot of that contract or
hold some of that money. So I wouldn't be shocked
if they end up having to cut him.

Speaker 1 (17:37):
Pour one out two thousand ninety yikes, yep, one of
the one of the Fantasy football best. Okay, Derek, who's
your third wide receiver?

Speaker 4 (17:45):
Yeah, it should be no surprise, it's already been mentioned.
I'm on Ras Saint Brown.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
Boom, oh wow.

Speaker 1 (17:51):
Nice. Yeah, you guys are huge with the almnra there.
It was really the difference between Jamie Gibbs and al
Monros Saint Brown. So good call there, all right, Jeff.

Speaker 2 (17:59):
And for me, it's one of my personal favorites this
year is Drake London.

Speaker 1 (18:07):
Nice throw a falcon on there, I don't, I mean,
outside of b Jhon Robinson, there's not another option, but
went with it right there. All right, gentlemen, I like that,
and we pastors again. If I'm cutting out or whatever,
someone just take off. You got an Internet squirrel situation
going on here, all right. Wide receivers here, myself went

(18:28):
with Justin Jefferson, Ceedee Lamb, and Malik Neighbors. Matt went
with Justin Jefferson, Malik Neighbors, and Pukin Nakua. Derek went
Justin Jefferson, Molik Neighbors and Almanro and Jeff went Justin Jefferson,
Almonra and Drake London. So everybody went Justin Jefferson. Three
out of four went Milik Neighbors. Two of you guys

(18:48):
had alman Ra, and then we had Puka CD and
Drake London in the mix as well. All right, after
a quarterback, running back and wide receivers in the NFC,
Let's see we have Derek taking the taking the lead
here twenty two fifty one and Jeff as twenty two
oh six. I've got twenty two eighteen and Matt's got
twenty one sixty one. Let's get into the tight end position.

(19:11):
There was only a couple names here for this spot.
I went with my homer pick here, went with George Kittle.
I thought about the other cat as well, but I
went with George Kittle here. I had to throw a
forty nine er on their best I could, and the
wide receivers and CMC disappeared. So shouts out to my
boy Kittle.

Speaker 3 (19:27):
I had Kittle penciled in early, and I landed on
Trey McBride.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
That's the other one, Derek, and.

Speaker 4 (19:35):
It's gonna be George Kittle for me.

Speaker 2 (19:39):
I went Jeff Trey McBride.

Speaker 1 (19:43):
Trey McBride. All right, those are the only two really
that you'd be picking at the NFC position at the
tight end. Again, if you're just joining us, some of
the parameters here. You can only use one player from
one team once, so we cannot use multiple guys from
any single team. And we're trying to get the best
possible roster from the NFC without with using those parameters.
So a lot of fun there. Now, this is where

(20:04):
I think it's gonna get really interesting. Tight End was
a no brainer. Quarterbacks were unanimous. Running backs are pretty close,
wide receivers are pretty close. The flex positions I think
are gonna get interesting depending on how we picked running
back or wide receiver. They are not super flex, so
these are gonna be running backs or wide receivers. Let's
see what happened. Maybe I buried the lead a little bit,
but I was able to sneak in as well Bijon

(20:25):
Robinson as my flex running back one. Matt did as well.

Speaker 4 (20:30):
Derek, Yeah, you guys are sneaky, but I am as
well because my first one is Josh Jacobs.

Speaker 1 (20:40):
All right, So Derek already had Bijon up in his
RB three, RB two. Excuse me slots, you already used
Bijon and then you're gonna go Josh Jacobs as well,
who Jeff already used. So Jeff, who's your first flex?

Speaker 2 (20:55):
My first flex? I went with Kyrine william nice Kyron.

Speaker 1 (21:03):
I was wondering who was going to pick Kien Williams.
I think was somebody else is going to have Kyroen.
I'm sure, all right? And I also went against the
grain for the last five years of my fantasy football analysis,
so allowed my pride enjoyed some quality football, and also
went with Josh Jacobs there as my flex two. So
I have Bijon and Josh Jacobs. So the top four

(21:26):
running backs in the NFC Derek, how about you. I'm sorry,
mattt yep.

Speaker 3 (21:32):
So this is where my Puka Nakua decision, knowing that
he did not have a full season, This is where
I even in the books with Alvin Kamara ak forty seven.
People forget about what he did all year. His points
may not be where some other guys are, but he
was absolutely insane for Fantasy this year.

Speaker 1 (21:54):
Nice. I mean, I really wanted to get Kamara in
there as well, just moving things around. I was able
to get the other guys who had a bit more
Fantasy points from him. But don't forget about Alvin Kamara
in twenty twenty five, folks, especially if Derek Carr is
able to come back. All right, Derek, ahead with your
flex two.

Speaker 4 (22:09):
Yeah for me, this player needs love. I mean, the
team needs love, but this player needs love in the
fantasy world. He had a great season. And so I'm
putting in Shuba Howard.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
Nice.

Speaker 1 (22:22):
He's on the Carolina Panthers. I believe I just scrolled
down Carolina, Okay, yeah, cool, Just making sure I had
I had D'Angelo Williams, Jay Stu, Mike Tolbert, Christian McCaffrey. Okay,
just making sure I have Miles Sanders of course, all right, Jeff,
how about you? Who's your flex two?

Speaker 2 (22:42):
So this I went back and forth on this one,
and I didn't go to Cowboy. I went Malik Neighbors
only because Ceedee Lamb did not play Week seventeen when
it mattered most to fantasy owners. And this is a
fantasy you know, make believe team, and so role with
League Neighbors, a guy that was healthy and played.

Speaker 1 (23:03):
Nice I love.

Speaker 3 (23:07):
Don't let it be said that I'm a homer. I
left Josh Jacobs off to prove I can do it.
And by the way, throw this out there. There's not
one Bear on the list.

Speaker 1 (23:17):
No, no Bears, No Bears. I was hoping to squeeze
Cole commit somehow, but Keenan Allen's going to retire unfortunate,
which is wlame. All right, Well, this is our NFC squad,
a gentleman, I'm gonna give everybody the opportunity to read
off their own teams. I'll start with NEMGO final scores
here at the end. Of course YouTubers can already see that,
but we are going to read it off for the

(23:38):
podcasters as well. So NFC side again. The parameters are.
You can only pick one top guy from each team.
You cannot use any two players from the same team,
which move these things around a little bit. My two
quarterbacks are Jaden Daniels and Baker Mayfield. My running back
position is Saquon Barkley and Jamior Gibbs. My wide receivers
are Justin Jefferson, Ceedee Lamb and Thelak Neighbors. My tight

(23:58):
end is my boy George Kittle, and my flex positions
are two other running backs, Jhon Robinson and Josh Jacobs.
Matt read off your roster, please.

Speaker 3 (24:08):
Jaden Daniels Baker Mayfield. Running backs are Sakuon and Jamier Gibbs.
Receivers are Justin Jefferson, the leak neighbors Puka Nakua, who
If I was to make a change, I'll discuss that
in a minute, Trey McBride at tight end, and the
two flexes are also running back Bjon Robinson Alvin Kamara.
The change that I struggled with was finding a way
to not use Josh Jacobs and get accused of being

(24:31):
a homer again. The change I could have made was
a receiver at in for Nakua, with Josh Jacobs being
placed down at in the flex, but I wasn't comfortable
with it being Drake London or any other receiver that
I saw out there. So as much as I loved

(24:52):
Kiren as a flex, I went with Pookah not based
necessarily on full statistics, So it should have been CD
lan for me or that was the honorable mention pick
would have been Ceedee Lamb, and then I could have
squeezed Josh Jacobs in where Alvin Kamara was. So Kamara
and Josh Jacobs my too big or excuse me. Josh
Jacobs and CD Lamb were my honorable mentions.

Speaker 1 (25:13):
And as you, I think it'd be really fun to
I think it'd be really fun to do this exercise
another time with a points per game model instead. I
looked at that a bunch of times. I was looking
at guys like I want T Higgins points per game,
but total wasn't as much points per game, Pokinakua, no brainer,
Total not as much some of these guys. You know,
they missed a couple of games that Knox are total down,
but their points per game was phenomenal. That would be

(25:35):
a fun exercise to look at as well before draft season.
Maybe we'll do this all over again with that model
as well. Derek, go ahead, give us your NFC squad.

Speaker 4 (25:43):
Yeah, of course I got the same quarterbacks as everyone else.
Baker was easy for me. I mean he was gonna
be my certainly one of my two quarterbacks. I actually
came back to Daniels because I came into this initially
thinking I would go golf. But once once I get
started to playing around with me Tames and I really
liked a monrel there instead, and so it just kind

(26:03):
of landed back on Daniels. That's how I got there. Uh,
Saquan and Bijeon were easy ones for me, and the
same with with the wide receivers. I talked about Jefferson,
you know, being really the only viable pick out of Minnesota.
Same with Neighbors out of New York. I mean he's early,
you know, if you're we're looking for other teams, and

(26:26):
you know, he really stood out for the Giants, had
a great season. And then Kittle was easy for me
as well, top top tight end, and I liked the
running backs. And I mentioned had to give some love
to Cheba Hubbard. It may affected me a little bit
in the scoring, but he just had a great year
for I mean, he really came out of nowhere and
had a really great year until he got hurt. So
I wanted to give him some some love here.

Speaker 1 (26:49):
I like that.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
I like that.

Speaker 1 (26:51):
Yeah, the quarterback the tight end position was really literally
a point off. You can see at two thirty one
to two thirty just depends on the player you wanted
to use there, Jeff, how about your squad.

Speaker 2 (26:59):
YEP, Jaden Baker, Saquan Jacobs, Jefferson and Monro, Drake London, McBride,
Kyron and the leak neighbors. The one that hurts the
most is Drake London. He's my lowest score and I
think that's what cost to me in this exercise. But
I was just thinking about his season. He had over
one hundred catches and I want to say he was

(27:22):
the number two receiver in the NFC with receiving guards.
He just didn't score enough touchdowns to get his point
total up. So it's like, you look at this exercise
now I do se d Lamb probably in a better spot.
But you know what, this is why it's fun. We
get our we get to put our bias in it
a little bit. And you know, CD didn't play for
his Fantasy Owners Week seventeen. So you're not making my squad.

(27:45):
So here we are and last place.

Speaker 1 (27:49):
It's nice we hold grudges here fan, that's what we
do on the program. I like to I like to
see that. I was actually I was curious that I
felt like a CD was a no book brainer. I
know it was ugly and if you if you've managed him,
it was really rough. I get it. But just for
the exercise the numbers game, it seemed like an automatic.
But I'm the only one to choose him. And he
had more Fantasy points than Malik neighbors, Pokinakua and Drake London.

(28:12):
So there were a couple other guys that could have
been slotted up there, and we're not using other cowboys.
I think is like, what was easy for me is
just who's the guy to use?

Speaker 3 (28:20):
Yeah, Mat and Derek and Jeff and myself have all
lived in San Antonio. If you had lived in San
Antonio as well for any given time, you would not
have picked CD.

Speaker 1 (28:30):
Lamb trust me, fair enough, I dig it all right. Uh,
there's a there's a pub called cac Just Jackson, San Antonio.
It's a nice bar to times enjoy all right, let's
get into the totals here. Then let's rally him off.

(28:53):
Let's see in the fourth place, if you want to
call it. That looks like we had Jeff twenty nine
sixty four, third place, Styles twenty nine sixty six, Derek
at three thousand four points, and I had three thousand
and forty, so very very close. But just a couple
of those names moved about. So maybe I don't have

(29:16):
the Lamb shade, so I was able to take this down.
We eliminate ceede. Lamb may have had a different result there.
So that's our NFC squad again. A couple of unanimus names,
some unique names. A fun exercise to do by yourself,
so we encourage all our listeners to just do this
on your own time. It's pretty cool to see who
the top dogs are. All right, gentlemen, let's move it
down to the AFC side. Stroll down just a little

(29:38):
bit perfect and let's go in reverse order here this
time just for funzies. Jeff, I'm gonna let you kick
it off. Give us a quarterback. We'll go reverse. We'll
go Jeff, Derek, Matt and myself one quarterback each, and
then we'll move on.

Speaker 2 (29:52):
My first quarterback was Josh Allen.

Speaker 1 (29:57):
Makes sense, Josh Allen the Beast. If you look at
all time quarterback Fantasy performances, Josh Allen's only been in
the league for six years. He has five of those
out of the top twenty five. It's pretty incredible. Josh
Allen one two, Josh Allen three. Spoiler alert. I'll do
it just because it's fun. You can put me down
for Josh Allen as well. That's a four z's another

(30:21):
four pack there. This is what's gonna get interesting. Who
went Lamar? Who went Derrick Henry? We'll see what happens,
Jeff Who you.

Speaker 2 (30:28):
Got your boy? Bo Nicks?

Speaker 1 (30:33):
Oh, let's go nice. That's it. That's a go Ducks.
I didn't I didn't expect on this exercise. Nice Derek
as well.

Speaker 4 (30:42):
What all three of you bow knicks for me too?

Speaker 2 (30:45):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (30:47):
Oh man? Not even no no chance for me. I
had three other quarterbacks I was going to put on
this list before bow Knicks. Give me Lamar Jackson. I
faded the King, but I got reasons, so give me
Lamar Jackson here. That's awesome, though, I'm glad you guys
went bow Nicks. Nice now give him t Higgins Yo,
Sean Payton's offense, yikes, like to see that? Or Cooper

(31:10):
Cup even, I think that'd be a lot of fun.
All right, So we got Josh Allen across the board,
three bow knicks, and the one duck on the panel
did not go bo Nicks. Like to see that. I
went Lamar Jackson. Okay, so early lead for me, but
that's gonna change, I think here pretty quickly. With the
running backs, Jeff, who's your first running back?

Speaker 2 (31:27):
The king, Derrick Henry?

Speaker 1 (31:31):
Yes, sir, if you didn't go Lamar, you gotta go Derek.
How about you Dike? Same thing here, Samez's Matt. Yeah.
Of course I could not go Dereck Henry. And this
this was the toughest decision I made in this entire
exercise for both leagues. I faded Dereck Henry. I don't
love it, but I had to go Lamar Jackson's points,
who was so much further ahead in the quarterback position,

(31:52):
So I took those instead. I dropped all the way
down to devon A Chan as my top running back.
I don't love it, but that's where I'm at. Von
A Chan is my top running back. You guys all
wan with Derrick Henry, Jeff, who's your second running back?

Speaker 2 (32:06):
My second running back was also Devon a Chang.

Speaker 1 (32:13):
Okay, ye, same for me, okay, and Matt as well.
Not to be a stickler, I assume you're correct. Are
the points right? We all did it right, so it's
it's irrelevant. But I have two eighty two for Devon

(32:33):
a Chan.

Speaker 3 (32:35):
Yeah, I do not believe two or three. Two or
three is much too low.

Speaker 4 (32:38):
I believe.

Speaker 2 (32:39):
Oh my apology, let me fix that real fast.

Speaker 1 (32:42):
That's all right, no problem. I mean, it's we all
have the same guy, so it's sky.

Speaker 4 (32:48):
But let's get it right for the rest of.

Speaker 1 (32:49):
Us, right right, right, Yeah, that's all I want to
make sure. That's that's what I want to make sure
was was not happening. I knew Jeff would be down there.
Just oh, I'm running accounting. Oops, you know what I mean?
Every one saw. I just have kind of a little
bit of Oopsy's okay, Derek Henry across the board except
for Devon a Chan. For me, my second running back
is Joe Mixon. Don't love it, but I'm really excited

(33:12):
about my wide receivers and my quarterback so Joe Maine
Mixing is my guy there at running back. So we
had Derek Henry for three and Devon e Chan all
four of us, and then Joe Mixon as the mix
up there. All right, let's get into wide receivers here. Jeff,
who you got.

Speaker 2 (33:30):
Ye the triple crown winner?

Speaker 1 (33:34):
Yeah, makes sense? Everybody else yep, Chase styles as well.
All right, across the board, Chase.

Speaker 3 (33:47):
My argument would have been Joe Burrow over bow Nicks.

Speaker 1 (33:51):
I just couldn't pass up on.

Speaker 3 (33:54):
I just couldn't do it.

Speaker 1 (33:57):
So I thought, yeah, I just I I felt like
the numbers were It's interesting to do this because it
was like passing on Derrick Henry to go to mar Jackson.
But you guys went Dereck Henry to pass on Lamar
Jackson and then also passed on Joe Burrow to get
to Jamar Chase. So then went bo Nick, which is interesting.

(34:19):
We'll see how this this total is up. This will
be fun, all right, Jamar Chase across the board, No
surprise there, top wide receiver by a landslide. All right,
this will be a fun one. Who's the number two
wide receiver? Jeff BTJ Yeah, Yeah, how about you, Derek,
same thing, Matt Duvo duval I, do.

Speaker 2 (34:44):
You think he thought it was a question and not
the claratory statement?

Speaker 1 (34:48):
You know what? I will say he had one. He
had one the very next day, and like at training
camp or like in the building or something, and the
reporter kind of called him out in funsies and he
gave a solid from the bellied. He doesn't get talked
enough because he joked himself off the bat, but I
feel like he kind of centered himself. But we'll see
the dude notes football. That's all people like Jeff carabout,

(35:09):
all right, BTJ. For me as well, it's making a
four peat? Okay, Jamar Chase and BTJ off the bat?
Who's your third wide receiver?

Speaker 2 (35:19):
I think this is where it's gonna get real interesting.
I'm going to go out and choose Garrett Wilson mm hmm.

Speaker 1 (35:27):
The best wide receiver in New Jersey, but the second
best in our hearts? Is that right, Matt?

Speaker 3 (35:33):
I believe he had eleven hundred targets this year for
nine hundred yards.

Speaker 1 (35:41):
Oh god, yeah. The return on investment for targets in
New York is pretty rough this year on both.

Speaker 2 (35:46):
A dot is so low I think was negative.

Speaker 1 (35:51):
He has a targets was horrendous well, and Deavante missed
five games that probably would have helped him there. That's
another one. I looked at these guys right points per game,
Davante's landslide, but you get that total up there, and
Wilson passed them up. All right, Derek, you got Wilson
as well, Matt who got.

Speaker 3 (36:09):
I have Nico Collins Again, I did not play by
the seventeen weeks. I went the guy that was probably
the number five wide receiver for the year, but he
missed time. So I like Nico Collins here.

Speaker 1 (36:20):
I love that pick, and I almost did two, but
just the way that my calculations worked out, I had
to lean Joe Mixon, but I definitely wanted to go
Nico Collins there as well to dip in points. But
I appreciate the philosophy and man, Nico Collins is probably
gonna be a first rounder for me when it comes
to draft season next year. I'm excited about that, all right.
My third wide receiver is also Garrett Wilson, so three

(36:41):
out of the four of us went with g will
So it's Jamar Chase BTJ unanimous across the board there
Garrett Wilson three out of four, and Nico Collins the
other Texan along with Joe Mixon. All right, through three positions,
we have quarterback, running back, and wide receiver. You did
some quick cheating on the math bar here, Matt is

(37:03):
at twenty one oh four. Let's see here we have
Derek at twenty one to fifty one. I have twenty
one ninety eight, and unless Jeff is cheating, he is,
so he's actually has twenty one to fifty one. Nice try.
All right, let's move down to tight end here and
then we'll get into our flex as well.

Speaker 2 (37:22):
Yeah, brock Bowers, I think this is unanimous for everyone.

Speaker 4 (37:27):
Yeah, brock Bowers.

Speaker 2 (37:28):
For me, it's a shame. Titan used to be like
a really fun position in fantasy, but it's now just
like really top heavy.

Speaker 3 (37:39):
Raid.

Speaker 1 (37:41):
Yeah, yeah, I agree. Let's give me brock Bowers as well, and.

Speaker 4 (37:45):
Matt walk Bowers as well.

Speaker 1 (37:47):
Oh yeah, okay, I mean unless you go Kellen Winslow,
there's not really anyone else in the AFC. I'm reminded
of the Great Seinfeld episode where you're trying to figure
out the emphasis throughout the sentence is it duvall or
duvall or dou all. You know, I think that really

(38:11):
changes things. Brock Bowers across the board there to forty
seven in PPR, by far the top tight end in
the game. Ahead at George Kittle as well, gentlemen, very
quick thumbs up, thumbs down. Brock Bauers repeats as the
number one tight end. We see it all the time,
Sam Laporta Kelsey when he was younger, Gronk blah blah blah.

(38:31):
Rarely does that number one guy repeat his number one.
We have a thumb down, thumb down, thumb down. I'm
gonna go thumbs down as well, because the Raiders have
to change things at quarterback and wide receiver and probably
running back as well. Jeff, I'm gonna give them the
vote of confidence. I like it.

Speaker 2 (38:45):
He's all they got, he is for now.

Speaker 1 (38:50):
He's all they got, he's all they need, He's all
they got. He's all all right. Let's go into the
flex here. This is where I think it's gonna get in.

Speaker 3 (38:57):
And you think I think Henry Ruggs is out of uh.

Speaker 1 (39:01):
No, he's up for he's up for parole soon. I
don't think he's out yet.

Speaker 3 (39:06):
I think they'd be better off signing Henry Rawlins.

Speaker 1 (39:11):
Oh, count it nice, Henry Rawlins. Well, well, Darius Hayward
Bay I'm sure is still on the waivers. Let's go
into the flex position here, gentlemen, I really dislike my picks.
We'll see how it goes.

Speaker 2 (39:24):
I went, Ladi merconkye last nice.

Speaker 1 (39:28):
We gotta chaja up on the board, Lad McConkie. Another
wide receiver there for Jeff Derek. How about you?

Speaker 4 (39:36):
So Jeff and I must have done this in parallel
because he was my charger pick as well.

Speaker 1 (39:42):
Did you guys? Just did you guys do this like
an old like like a sophomore year of high school
project where it's like hey, bro, like I'll bring the
stuff if you come over quick. We'll just like do
this assignment together, work about fifty percent each, make it
happen that like you guys just like.

Speaker 4 (39:57):
Projects. You know, one does the work and the other
gets the crowd. So Jeff did all the work and
then getting credit.

Speaker 1 (40:02):
Hey man's or as I mean, that's right, as long
as you get the score. Who cares? Matt? How about you?

Speaker 3 (40:10):
I feel all three of you made a mistake with
Garrett Wilson and the better wide receiver is DeVante Adams. Oh,
but he did not like we've talked about, he did
not play the full season. He took a little bit
of time off to pout. But he is in my
mind a better wide receiver than Garrett Wilson.

Speaker 1 (40:30):
Dude, he's so fun. So does this still count as this?
Is that still a Homer pick? Matt asking for a friend?
Is it like a residual Homer So it still counts
because you passed on Jacobs, which I respect, But do
you like still consider Adams a Homer pick or is
this just fresh?

Speaker 3 (40:49):
Tell me if you were starting a franchise today and
they were both the same age in their prime, would
you rather have Garrett Wilson or DeVante Adams? That'll answer itself.

Speaker 1 (40:56):
Adam, I mean Jordan Nelson, but Adams for sure?

Speaker 3 (41:01):
All right, Love Rody Nelson.

Speaker 1 (41:04):
Uh, I'm gonna go with Lad McConkie as well. I
didn't think that was gonna happen. But the wider man
the AFC side was interesting. It's kind of kind of rough,
I thought, looking for flex here and doing comparison. So
Lad McConkie three out of four and the goat. Davante
Adams won me many a ship back in the day,

(41:24):
so I always appreciate him. I do have his signed jersey.
By the way. Let's get into the second flex position
here before we wrap out the AFC.

Speaker 2 (41:32):
Jeffy Yeah, I think this one's gonna cost me like
Drake London. But that's all right. I went Jonathan Taylor
j T.

Speaker 1 (41:41):
Nice. Now you're you're running the scoreboard here. I didn't
double check. Did you count the touchdown he dropped or
do you leave that off?

Speaker 2 (41:50):
Yeah? I wish nice, just.

Speaker 1 (41:54):
Just give it, just give like asterisk six.

Speaker 2 (41:56):
Yeah, but yeah, man, he bawled out at the end
of the season for the so it was hard to
ignore that. So for me, I think he was a
league winner for some people that kept the faith with him.

Speaker 1 (42:09):
Yes, I agree, absolutely dominant, but slow start. We'll see
what happens next year. And they keep Anthony Richardson, figure
out what's going on with that, and obviously they got
to boot up that offensive line and figure out wide receivers.
Derek how about you?

Speaker 4 (42:21):
Yeah? For me as mentioned already, Joe Mixon.

Speaker 1 (42:24):
Oh all the way down there. Nice, that's a sneak attack,
scoop good work. Oh thanks, Jeff. I appreciate you just
giving me points.

Speaker 3 (42:36):
All right, Matt, I had my first thoughtible mention was
Lad McConkey. I ended up going with Jonathan Taylor. I
felt there was too many rookies getting love on my lists,
so Lad was the one that has to deal with
the Pro Bowl snub.

Speaker 1 (42:52):
I like that. Matt's old school. You got to earn
your stripes with Matt, you know what I mean, You
don't just get positional ranking. I like that. Good work,
all right, This one just kind of makes me throw
up in my mouth a little bit. Ten more points
than Jonathan Taylor, which is literally the only reason I
chose him in this exercise, but it's kind of rough.
Jerry Judy, his five games of incredibleness were enough. Jamis

(43:17):
is fun enough. I don't see Jerry Judy coming anywhere
close ever again to this, but everything latched up for
him once Watson went down. So Jerry Judy was my
guy here for the final act. All right, let's get
into the final tallies here once again. After we do
our rosters, Jeff, give us top to bottom your quarterbacks,
running back to wide receivers, tight end, and two flex.

Speaker 2 (43:40):
Yeah, Josh Allen, bo Nicks, Derrick, Henry Devon, a Chan,
Jamar Chase, Brian Thomas Jr. Garrett Wilson, Brock Bauers Wee,
Ladd mconkey, and Jonathan Taylor.

Speaker 1 (43:53):
We lad I like it.

Speaker 4 (43:54):
Derek, Yeah, I mean Jeff, I had exactly the same
which till the very last pick went with Taylor. I
went with Nixon, but I liked both both of them. Actually,
we're really good for fantasy this year. For for the
most part, you know, they had they had surges and dips,
but overall, I think where their ADP was at the

(44:16):
beginning of the year, I think fantasy owners are probably
happy with both of them this year. So good to
see both names up there.

Speaker 1 (44:23):
So because you had identical rosters outside of that pick, Jeff,
you could have gone Joe Mixon. Why didn't you.

Speaker 2 (44:28):
I didn't go a single Texan at Cowboys or a Texans. Well,
I despise the Texans. I had the bias there, but
I just I knew Mixon was good, but I just
thought Jonathan Taylor was better down the stretch of the
season for me. So that was the difference maker for me,
and I was wrong. I was wrong with their total

(44:48):
points though, but hey, that's why we do this exercise.

Speaker 1 (44:52):
Yep, yep, only off by a handful. But I was
just curious because you guys, you know, you could have
picked him and he didn't, So I was just curious there, Maddie,
how about you?

Speaker 3 (45:00):
Same with the other two gentlemen all the way through
wide receiver too, And then I added the injured Nico Collins,
same tight end brock Bauers as the others, my goat
wide receiver DeVante Adams, even though he was in a
creuddy situation, and the always oatmeal for breakfast boring but
always seems to come through Jonathan Taylor. So I will

(45:22):
revert back to I have the lowest amount of points.
I'm okay with that. I take this team into battle
with against any team that's on the board at this point.

Speaker 1 (45:31):
Matt, are you a guy? Do you put fruit in
there or anything else?

Speaker 2 (45:36):
Actually?

Speaker 3 (45:37):
I can't stand oatmeal, something about the texture.

Speaker 1 (45:39):
Can't do it fair enough.

Speaker 3 (45:43):
Cannat bananas texture Kiwi's something weird about it.

Speaker 1 (45:48):
Alvacado only on my arm.

Speaker 3 (45:52):
And guacamole love it, by the way, you guys, You
guys don't know this save this is all done.

Speaker 1 (46:01):
Don't reveal it yet. We'll have to wait. We'll have
to I think your super Bowl predictions on there for
twenty twenty five. So let's let's wait. Let's let's wait
to see that until it's time, all right, Matt Scott,
Matt Scott his fantasy sleepers just tattooed on his on
his arm.

Speaker 3 (46:16):
Right, Actually, it just says Brian Thomas Jr. All the
way wrapped around from there too, somewhere right the Baker's
in my entire back is a.

Speaker 1 (46:28):
Nice Well, we'll have to get a full panorama at
some point on the program, but it's a little late
for tonight. Alrighty uh. My squad is again pretty similar
to the guys. I went Lamar Jackson, nobody else did.
Everybody else went Derreck Henry. I went Lamar Jackson, had
to sacrifice a little bit our running back to von
A Chan and Joe Mixon. Everybody else went with those guys,
and then Jamar Chase, Brian Thomas Junior unanimous, I went

(46:48):
Garrett Wilson. With the other three outside of Maco and
Nico Collins, we all had Brock Bowers, Lad McConkey also
pretty much unanimous and Jerry Judy kind of a sneak attack.
I if I didn't look at numbers, there's no chance
I would have guessed Jerry Judy was that high and
eligible for this position there, but he was by just
a nose over DeVante Adams and Jonathan Taylor, so I
went with him, all right. Final scores here on this

(47:12):
round Matt with twenty seven ninety, Jeff with twenty eight
forty one, Derek with twenty eight fifty eight, and myself
with twenty eight ninety seven. So just edged it out
just a little bit. I did it just for my
own nerdness. I have a list of guys I wish
I put on the list, but because of the numbers,

(47:34):
they just didn't make sense. Or I picked Jamar Chase,
so I couldn't pick Joe Burrow. Curious if anybody else
did that, or if you have a name here where
you're like, I tried to get this guy on, I
just couldn't. I'm gonna review mine to give you guys
a minute or two to kind of decide those. But
at quarterback position, these are players I wanted to put
on the list, and they could have, but I just
couldn't because I use a different player in their position

(47:57):
for another area. Joe Burrow, Jared Goff, and Jalen Hurts
at quarterback, couldn't use them. I wanted to running backs
Dereck Henry, Kyron Williams, James Cook, Chase Brown and James
Connor also top ten wide receiver. I'm on Ross, Saint Brown,
Terry McLaurin, Drake London who Jeff did take, Mike Evans,
and Pukinakua who if they played more games absolutely would

(48:19):
have been on the list. That was the points per
game situation. They just didn't make it in the total.
Then I had Nico Collins, DeVante Adams as well more
points per game than Garrett Wilson, t Higgy and Chris
Godwin and AJ Brown as well, again didn't play enough
games to qualify, but they did in points per game.
Tight ends Brock Bowers, is Easy and George Kittle, but
David and Joku, john Us Smith and the ghost of

(48:41):
Taysom Hill also were dominant. Fun I didn't do kickers
just because everybody hates him, except for Bob Chris Boswell,
kicker for the Pittsburgh Steelers this year. In standard scoring
which doesn't have actual points for their positions. He would
have been the running back sixteen, the receiver five, and

(49:01):
he would have been the tight end one with thirty
more Fantasy points than George Kittle in standard formats at
the kicker position. If you play kickers, get a good
one and make sure they have good morals. Okay, let's
move on to the totals here, Deeke. You have totals
down there for us, all right, Derek, or let's see
Maddy had fifty seven fifty six, Jeff had fifty eight

(49:26):
h five, Derek had fifty eight six. I had the
grand total of fifty nine thirty seven. Did anybody else
have any other players that were in like Joe Burrow?
I assume we all wanted to have but we picked
other guys. Was there anybody else that jumped off to
you guys that you really wanted to have but you
just did it.

Speaker 2 (49:45):
JSN for me ASN interesting.

Speaker 3 (49:49):
Okay, that's the only name that I have written down
that hasn't been mentioned so far.

Speaker 1 (49:56):
Okay, Derek, thank you. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (50:06):
So I had JSN initially on my scrub when I
first did it, but then I ended up switching to Wilson, Uh,
just just because I I new he had a little
bit better scoring, but I really wanted JSN in there.
And then the other thing that caught my eye that
the nfrek Oh yeah, yeah, you're right, so yeah, to

(50:28):
scratch that. But I did have JSN in the mix.
But the thing that caught my eye here on the
A f C side is not one of us has
a single chief. Yeah, super three, three times Super Bowl winners.
Isn't too early to say that too soon?

Speaker 1 (50:44):
No, No, it's no, it's fine. You can lock that up, Derek,
you can lock it up. It's fine, Derek, you can
lock it up. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (50:54):
So three p Super Bowl Kansas City chiefs and not
one of us picked us chief for this exercise. And
I would I would wager that, you know, any anyone
else we brought on would would probably be the.

Speaker 1 (51:08):
Same points per game. You might be able to give
me Rashi Rice as a flex, but he only played
two games. We'll see. Yeah, Travis Kelcey, just I mean,
you know, it wasn't he was top three, but he
you know, wasn't. He wasn't where he usually is. Patrick
Mahomes number ten, but not high enough for what we're
doing here, so we'll see. I mean, that's that's why

(51:31):
people are upset more this year than the last couple
of years. A. We're all tired of it. B. The
Chiefs aren't good enough, quick rant. The Chiefs aren't good
enough to be where the Chiefs are period, they're not.
They lost their star running back and star wide receiver
Travis Kelsey's over the hump, and Mahomes is great, but
he's not good enough to do all this, and their
defense isn't as good. So with them still being as

(51:52):
successful versus all these incredible other teams, it's just, of
courseately doesn't make sense. And then you start looking at
the tape. Looks bad. So give me ten grant on
the Chiefs. Okay, I had a little fun exercise here
before my puppy wakes up and goes insane in three minutes,
because we're about at the money line for us, I
did a fun little stat here, Derek, if you wouldn't mind,
thank you, And if she goes nuts, someone else can

(52:14):
read this off here. In a second, the time ball
is ticking, I can I can feel it, so I did.
I just looked at all time, I mean all time,
all time, like I don't know what you know, like
Auto Graham had for fantasy points necessarily, I didn't go
that far back, but pre twenty ten and then twenty
ten to current. I looked at the squads and all

(52:34):
time seasons for his position, like we just did, and
I just put a thing together for a comparison, and
that was pretty shocking because some of these great seasons
like Jamar Chase this year or whatever, wouldn't hold a
bag to some of these other guys. So I'm just
gonna read it off real quick and just get you
guys thoughts. So pre twenty ten, Tom Brady in two
thousand and seven five hundred and thirteen fantasy points, fifty touchdowns,

(52:56):
two more rushing. Of course he doesn't run at all,
but he didn't need to. Five hundred and thirteen fantasy points.
Dan Marino in eighty four lost to the forty nine
ers and every went back to the Super Bowl, but
he had a great season at four ninety one seventeen picks,
though pretty rough rookie season for him. Dante Culpepper poor
went out for one of the most fun teams of
that era four seventy five and four, and then Steve Young,

(53:20):
shout out to my lefties on the ground. At thirty
seven years young, four hundred and sixty four Fantasy points.
Those are your top four quarterbacks all time, basically before
twenty ten when rushing really became a thing for the
quarterback position. The Danian, Tomlinson, Marshall Falk both OG's six

(53:40):
forint eighty one for Tomlinson, he had about five other
seasons pretty close. Marshall falk In two thousand, greatest show
on turf in fourteen games, mind you for sixty five.
There's no question in my mind. If he plays two
more games that year he passes La Danian Thomlinson, somebody
else read it off here. I got to do puppy control.
Start with the my boy Jerry Rice please.

Speaker 3 (54:04):
Ninety five. Jerry Rice with four hundred and twenty points
two thousand and seven, Randy Moss the Freak three eighty five,
two Maserati Marv Senior three eighty four. We've also got
a nineteen eighty three Todd Christiansen siding at tight end
with two eighty nine. Also Kellen Winslow's senior For those

(54:26):
youngsters that don't know that Kellen Winslow junior is actually
a real junior. At two seventy two Dwight Clark because
Sky is contractually obligated to put forty nine ers all
over the list where he can, and oh four, Tony
gonzalars with two seventy. His flexes are Priest Holmes, who
was absolutely insane, and O three with twenty seven Russian testdowns.

(54:48):
He also did a O two with four hundred and
forty points, and that rounds out with Hall of Famer
Emmett Smith in nineteen ninety five with four hundred and
twenty seven total points.

Speaker 1 (54:59):
Quick direction, just because I don't want to be too
much of a Homer. That's Dallas Clark of the Indianapolis
Colts in nine crushing it there. At two seventy two
Tony g I thought that was interesting because we all
regard Tony Gonzalez maybe the number one fantasy tight end
before Gronk and these other cats had better years. Thought
that was interesting. Any thoughts on these ogs before we

(55:19):
go to the pres here?

Speaker 4 (55:21):
It seems like Sean Alexander's missing from this list.

Speaker 1 (55:24):
He's literally he's right after them. I just did the
top two like a roster. I didn't list off five
guys he's positioned, but he's right there. I think that
was two thousand and five if I remember correctly.

Speaker 2 (55:34):
Yeah, I thought Antonio Gates would be on this list too.

Speaker 1 (55:37):
Tonio Gates not so much. He was dominant, but he
didn't have the volume that the rest of these guys had,
and he didn't have the touchdowns. He never had the
touchdowns that Gonzalez and these guys had from p hillip Rivers.

Speaker 3 (55:49):
And did was there a better NFL team run at
running back better than the Chiefs for like, oh seven,
nine to ten or eleven year period. I want to
say it started at the end of a Koyer went
into very word Priest Holmes, Larry Johnson, Right, they were

(56:10):
just the run of Jamal Charles.

Speaker 1 (56:14):
Yeah, Kareem Jamal Charles, Kareem Hunt, Spencer Ware had a
great season.

Speaker 3 (56:18):
I mean running back just went bananas for that. And
by the way, they couldn't win football games that a
team that should have gone to.

Speaker 1 (56:26):
The championship Montana Montana almost took him there. They had
the Rams as well. I mean, you have a lot
of Steven Jackson seasons that didn't pop up on this
liss quite but he's right underneath this bubble as well,
and then Todd Gurley. Yeah, pretty interesting. So let's go
down to the twenty ten to the currents, and then

(56:47):
you can kind of compare rosters. I thought that was
kind of fun this year's.

Speaker 3 (56:51):
And Jemp was alive, So there we go.

Speaker 1 (56:55):
There we go, circa circa Jefferson. I like it, all right,
we'll go what is it? Uh? I guess it'd be BC.
Never mind, Okay, twenty twenty four. Lamar Jackson has the
best season this year of anybody after twenty ten. That's
at four thirty four. I put seventeen sixteen games. Because

(57:15):
some of these cats play seventeen, some obviously don't, so
the numbers are off a little bit. But Lamar Jackson
this year for thirty four. Patrick Mahomes maybe before the
cheating twenty twenty two four to twenty nine, hell of
a season. Then then we got twenty nineteen Christian McCaffrey.
We all regard him still as the number one running
back when healthy. This is six years ago at this point,

(57:35):
four seventy one in sixteen games. David Johnson, You guys
remember the one season from David Johnson where he won
everybody titles twenty sixteen four oh eight ats in sixteen games.
I had to throw a shout out here to Bob Huge,
Arian Foster fan from back in the day a lot
of us were in twenty ten. Just made the cut
by the metric three ninety two. He's the third running

(57:56):
back on the list. Also a little note here, only
three players inside the top fifteen running backs since twenty ten.
What that means is the other what twelve running backs
are all pre twenty ten. So you really see that
running back wide receiver passing game run game change in
twenty ten. So CMC, David Johnson, and Arian Foster top

(58:17):
running backs wide receivers. Cooper Cup we talked about it
earlier four hundred and forty points in PPR and twenty
twenty one Triple Crown winner Ceedee Lamb last year at
four h three and Jamar Chase this year at exactly
four hundred and three points as well. Mister goat himself.
Gronkowski is on this list about six times, but his

(58:37):
best season was in twenty eleven with three hundred and
thirty one Fantasy points in sixteen games. If you're curious
where Travis Kelcey ended up that was twenty twenty two
with Mahomes this season three hundred and sixteen, but he
played in seventeen games, So again, you start taking those
averages out of those guys a little bit makes Gronk
look a little more beastly. In one less game, Antonio

(58:59):
Brown pour one out twenty fourteen and twenty fifteen. He
had three hundred and eighty eight three hundred and eighty
seven point something in three hundred and eighty eight Fantasy points.
In ppr BO seasons back to back, the consensus wide
receiver won in a landslide in sixteen games, Kyreek Hill
in twenty twenty three, three seventy six, and then Julio

(59:20):
Jones never gets talked about enough in these circles sixteen
games twenty fifteen, right behind ab At three hundred seventy five.
That was the year that he had three hundred receiving
yards in a game. Of course, only scored one touchdown
that game, which is a crime. Calvin Johnson did not
make the list, where I thought was interesting. Any thoughts here, gentlemen.

Speaker 4 (59:42):
Yeah, loved with David Johnson all there. That was nice. Yeah,
this makes sense.

Speaker 1 (59:51):
I thought out paced as well.

Speaker 3 (59:55):
How Tyreek has separated himself from this list in one season.

Speaker 4 (01:00:01):
Same with ab right, I mean they've kind of gone
I mean different scenarios, but same fantasy trajectory.

Speaker 1 (01:00:09):
Yep. I mean with with Tyreek, I'd be willing to
I think Tyreek might be a steal. Not to get
too ahead of our offseason content, but if Tuisa is healthier,
he goes to another team, and like if he goes
to Jacksonville or I don't bone Nicks or something ridiculous
and they just give him quality targets all game, I
think he can still be fine. He just the Dolphins
are a mess this year.

Speaker 4 (01:00:28):
Duvo douvall.

Speaker 1 (01:00:32):
Jeff Any thoughts on the Jeff Era.

Speaker 2 (01:00:36):
Yeah, I was looking at what with Michael Thomas' big
year the same.

Speaker 1 (01:00:42):
Yeah, twenty nineteen and there's all receptions. It wasn't touchdowns.
He had nine touchdowns, so he got smoked.

Speaker 2 (01:00:51):
Yeah, right, and I think, yeah, those are like that's
the one guy all these always makes sense.

Speaker 4 (01:00:56):
Yeah, it's surprising just not to see Mike Evans on
this list either or you know, as an honorable mention.
That's a hard wide receiver, cord a crack.

Speaker 1 (01:01:03):
So it's it's wild though you think about it, like
think about some of Devanta Adams, right is one that's
actually pretty close, but like Julio's right there all the time,
but ab passed him in that era. Calvin Johnson's there
but didn't have the touchdowns, right, Like, like it's either
you don't have the receptions or or you don't have
the yardage or you don't have the touchdowns. Mike Thomas
had everything but touchdowns.

Speaker 3 (01:01:26):
As Richard got five hundred touchdowns and he's nowhere.

Speaker 1 (01:01:30):
On this list, not in a single season because it's
over what twenty years or whatever, you know, So like
it's really interesting to see this kind of stuff because
these are single season performances. Of course, you can dive
as deep as you want elongate your list, but this
was really fun to do. Just kind of cool to
look back on yesteryear and it's kind of fun look
at the totals really quick. There was forty eighty three
for the twenty tens and what was it up the

(01:01:51):
top forty three hundred, So the Ogs beat him out
by about two hundred fantasy points. I thought that was
pretty cool and the NFL was different back then, but
you get the received the running back bump is so
massive at flex.

Speaker 2 (01:02:03):
One question, do you recall where Jimmy Graham was on
the Titan list?

Speaker 1 (01:02:07):
I don't, but I can get back to the off air.
He was close, but it's all you know again, it
was like one or two seasons, but he never had
the touchdowns either. Gronk and Kelsey get the touchdowns and
the yardage plus the receptions. A lot of those Saints guys,
dude Drew Brees spread it out so much. They had
the receptions in the yards, but never the touchdown totals.

Speaker 3 (01:02:27):
How close Aaron Hernandez was. I mean he was insane
literally and on the field as well. And I wonder
he had to be at least for a couple of
seasons on the near the elite players on that list
for tight end.

Speaker 1 (01:02:42):
There were a couple guys here that was fun to see,
like kind of the one hit wonder seasons. We were like,
oh yeah, I remember him being like incredible for one year,
like Kareem Hunt when he was a rookie was unbelievable
and just never quite got back, you know to what
that was. Aaron Foster had that season in twenty ten,
so really fun.

Speaker 3 (01:03:02):
What did Moster had what twenty three touchdowns touchdowns last
year and it's not even sniffing.

Speaker 1 (01:03:10):
Because he didn't have that. Yeah, he had like a
thousand yards, but he didn't have like also, receptions come
into this because it's all PPR. Yeah, but all these
guys in the two thousand, the pre two thousands, all
those running backs had like twenty four, twenty seven, twenty
five touchdowns like annually. You look at EMMITTT. Smith's rushing log,
you guys, the dude averaged like twenty four carries a

(01:03:32):
game like that. That's a throwing stat for Justin Herbert
these days in Los Angeles. It's unbelievable. He had like
thirty one carries in about four games that season. Pretty unbelievable.
So anyway, that wraps it up. That's a lot of
fun with the Pro Bowls to that election quickly, Jeff
Derek Matt one more thought here of this exercise? Did
you learn anything? Does it not matter? Was it fun?

(01:03:53):
What are you looking forward to? And then what did
you learn here from this? Before we get out of here, Jeff,
I'll have you go first.

Speaker 2 (01:03:57):
Yeah, I just gotta throw at your bias sometimes and
gets the best player but that's too hard to do sometimes, Derek.

Speaker 4 (01:04:06):
Yeah, this was fun.

Speaker 1 (01:04:07):
You know.

Speaker 4 (01:04:08):
Actually, uh, I think most most of us did this
without you know, really looking at the stats. So you know,
we're we're about on month, month and a half away
from you know, the end of the season, a month
away from the end of the season, and and just
you know, pretty looking at it back in perspective, you know, like,
you know, Matt's talking about an Eagle Collins and and

(01:04:28):
you know what could have been if he stayed healthy,
and you know, I threw in Showba Hubbard, and it's
just it's it's a fun exercise just to see how
how they all shake out once you put them, you know,
normalize it and put them all on the same page,
you know, to see how we build our squads.

Speaker 3 (01:04:43):
This was fun, Matt, three quick, we should do this
with top six round busts and see who has the lowest.

Speaker 1 (01:04:53):
Little Oh my god, that's that would be super disappointing.
But I'm down number to.

Speaker 3 (01:05:00):
Pete Alonzo re ups with the Mets two years fifty
four million, and number three, well it's I have three
and four. Number three is tomorrow, starting three pm. I
start prep for a colonoscopy, don't look for any videos.
And number four.

Speaker 2 (01:05:20):
Dovo do do the eyes with the eyes too though.

Speaker 3 (01:05:26):
No, the eyes are super it's a little bit too much.

Speaker 1 (01:05:31):
A little Adam Gacy, little little, a little Adam Gase. Yeah,
I like that.

Speaker 3 (01:05:35):
A little bit. I'm live on tinder tonight.

Speaker 1 (01:05:42):
Oh shout out. I hope Jen didn't hear that. I mean,
it doesn't matter, you do what you want to do.
I'm just saying, like, might you might want to shut
the door next time. I thought, this is a super
fun exercise as well. I got to nerd out with
the al Teimers. That was just kind of cool to reminisce.
Larry Fitzgerald was really close in two thousand and nine
as well, a lot of fun there. Michael Turner made
a couple list. Anyway, I want to do this again

(01:06:04):
later before draft season, but do the same list, but
do it as point per game where you get guys
like you know, T Higgins and Puka Naku who are
automatics and a guy who just like compiled stats probably
doesn't like Garrett Wilson. It will be nowhere close to
that list. I think it'd be really interesting to see
that and compare those, because that sort you got to
look at in preseason and postseason. So that's a lot

(01:06:25):
of fun. All right, we're gonna guess the hat very
quickly and get out of here. Let's see. Is it silver,
mad or go? It's in San Diego? Oh, Tampa Bay?
No chance, Jeff? Is it a sports hat?

Speaker 2 (01:06:35):
Yep?

Speaker 1 (01:06:37):
Give it to me spurs yep.

Speaker 3 (01:06:40):
Yeah, you've already seen these. These are these are old.

Speaker 1 (01:06:43):
That's okay, that's okay. Savannah Bananas just got it from
a buddy, a late Christmas present. Very excited about that.
He literally felt so bad for me having to watch
the Rose Bowl for versus Ohio State. He bought me
a Savannah Bananas hat.

Speaker 4 (01:07:00):
Nice.

Speaker 1 (01:07:01):
