Speaker 1 (00:11):
That's right, folks, another episode of the Rastball Fantasy Football podcast. Today,
we're gonna be breaking down week sixteen the slot versus
wide analysis and discussing which wide receivers you should start,
sit and stream to help you get into your fantasy titles.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
All that and more starting right now in the Raspball Fantasy.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
YouTube channel, and once again folks, joining me all the
way down in Australia. It's Benjamin Wise, so you can
follow at Fantasy First Down.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
No oh on Twitter? What's going on?

Speaker 3 (00:45):
Ben Benja? Am I in trouble? If I get the
Benjamin Tradan, I've done something, Benjamin, What have you done?

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (00:53):
Yep, No, it's yeah, I am. Yeah, You're a little
bit of trouble because of Wednesday. We talked about who
to start between Anthony Richardson and Cooper Rush and you
were like, well six point Cooper Rush and then they
go see your rankings and you got Anthony richard All.
I'm like, I'm just a little concerned there, right.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
I was just like, what's happening? Is you line to
me try to make me lose?

Speaker 1 (01:15):
I don't know, hard to trust your your own team
these days, but it is what it is man honestly,
and how many leagues are you still?

Speaker 2 (01:23):
Any you feeling any uch? Any semifinals?

Speaker 3 (01:27):
About half? I think I think about half. Think that
my sining's gone pretty well. I definitely got knocked out
in the feed last week, but I think I'm in
for still. I think so it's gone well. How about you?

Speaker 1 (01:39):
Yeah, I'm in three of like my five money leagues.
I am Yeah, I'm a huge underdog in my biggest league.
Like I am starting, Like when I tell you our
start sits and streamer like our show on Wednesday, that's
like my team, like just like Can Millers and you know,

(02:02):
Jalen McLoughlin and Cooper Rush and like these are kind
of like because I had, like I have like Isaiah Pacheco,
and I'm like, I don't really care to start him
at all, Like I just after watching last week with
Mahomes Little Bang. Now, Granny, listen, this is the week
he's gonna go. Just like Gus Edwards who just decides
to score two touchdowns, breaks off a big run at

(02:24):
the end of the game. Everybody has their week, but
like I just for some reason, I can live with
losing if I sit a checko in a tough Texans matchup.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
I'm okay with it.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
I don't care if I'm wrong after watching last week
with the Cleveland Browns, like maybe he's like fifty percent better,
but that's like seven point five fantasy points or something.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
It's like, it's just.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
I'm okay with losing when you know the analysis backs
it up. So I'm just I'm just kind of going
with guys who I think have a shot, like Kendre Miller.
I know the Green Bay Packers game is gonna be
a little sloppy for them, and I actually have the
Packers defense, so so cool.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
It is what it is.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
I do think that maybe he could get a few
passes and you know, pay a little ketchup. H I
mean Jesus Spencer Rattler, Pepper Galvin Kamara with targets when
he started.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
So call it. Call it. It is what it is. Man.
But it's like at David Verskliath, I am a huge underdog.
So we'll see. Hopefully today's show can make me feel
a little bit better.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
We're gonna talk some start cents the streamers for using
our slot versus wide tool.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Oberon rasbell dot com.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
You haven't checked it out on Rasball, we give you
a free tool that helps you break out fantasy points
that come from the slot and out wide by defense.
It's a really another It's a great tool to help
you find out you know where the fantasy points are
being generated, and if you go to our wide receiver
fantasy points score tab, you can find out where your
wide receiver gets their fantasy points. So it's a really
fun tool to use whenever you can. We also have

(03:48):
a bunch of other great tools and articles from all
our great writers. Ben writes the slot versus Wide article
this week. But Ben, before we kind of get into
the team by team matchups, was there a player that
really kind of stood out when you did your slat
for as wide metric this week?

Speaker 3 (04:03):
The big one that really jumped out to me and
I talked about it a little bit on Wednesday, was
Kanan Allen. I just I feel like in this matchup
against the lines who so slot final, I just feel
like it's just one of those weeks where you have
to feel really good about Canaan Allen, usually someone I
never feel comfortable even putting inside my top forty, and
he has those boom weeks. But he's looking a lot better.

(04:23):
He's looking like the Caenan Allen evolved. The offense suddenly
looks like an actual offense, and I don't know, I
feel like this could be a really good Canan Allen week.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
Okay, all right, let's kind of get into it.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
So we're gonna go game by game, really high level,
just talk some key injuries, and we're also gonna break
down just maybe a guy or two that stands out
to us.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
This week.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
We'll start with the Saturday games. By the way, enjoy
Saturday football folks. For the NFL, it's gonna be a
lot of fun. We get two games. My game start
at ten am, so I'll be getting up nice and
early once again for the for the Chiefs and Texans game.
John Metchi not really a huge name, but he'll be
out for the for the t On the defensive side
of the ball, some safeties will be Al Good and

(05:03):
Jaleen Petrie, who's like the big Texan safety that should
help Travis Kelcey of course, Patrick Mahomes, who's dealing with
his ankle injury but is expected to play, and Kamari Connor,
the slot cornerback for the Kimsey Chiefs, is out, so
not really notable for guys like Nico Collins who gets
a lot of his fantasy points out wide, any of

(05:24):
the wide receivers in this matchup kind of stand out
to you.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Anybody notable start set or streamers.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
Then, I mean, look, I think the big question mark
for a lot of people is over what is going
on with this whole Chief's rotation, and its just got
a whole lot uglier with Hollywood Brown playing as well.
I personally think the Brown's not going to have much
of an impact. It feels like one of those situations
where he plays like ten snaps or something along those lines.
The big thing that's been interesting in the last two

(05:50):
weeks is that stab you Worthy is finally playing start
a snaps. He was in that kind of like sixty
snap range for a large part of this season, and
over the last two weeks he's finally jumped up over
eighty percent snaps. Besides Travis Kelce, he's the only receiving
Chief that's over eighty percent snaps, and that makes him
a lot more reliable, gives him a better flaw. Now

(06:10):
there's no guaranteeing guarantees with anyone in this rotation. Situation.
But Worthy is now the person I feel best about.
You think the Hopkins because he's always going to find
his target, but Worthy has more upside because of the
volume of those snaps there. So he's someone I kind
of feel okay about in this matchup. Hopkins is a
risky guy, but again he's got upside. He just doesn't

(06:32):
have big upside because he's not going to get enough snaps.
And as for Tank Dell, I mean, I just look,
don't get me wrong, I didn't feel great about Tankdell
coming into the season, but when Stefon Diggs went down,
we kind of felt like Tank Dell would step in.
It just has not turned out that way. It just
means a whole lot more Neco Collins.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
Yeah, yeah, and listen, the kind of both teams are
slot funnel defenses, but when you look at our slot
versus hye tool, both are averaging fantasy points overall allowed
to wide receivers in the receiving game. So like, obviously
we don't even need to talk about NKO, but liked hop.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
To be honest with you, like when you're just looking
at the kind of.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
The game like it has been, it hasn't been smooth
for the Chiefs passing game. I mean, it hasn't really
really clicked to a point where like, no, Gray's constantly
popping in there for a touchdown, and you know, you
got like weird shit going out with Justin Watson so like,
but at the same time, as a wide receiver three
in this matchup, I I don't believe in the Chiefs

(07:33):
running game right now.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
I really don't.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
And the Texans running defense is really good. And DeAndre Hopkins,
for whatever, is worth six targets in every game the
last four games. You know, I know five for thirty
six wasn't great, but that game got real weird. Like honestly,
the Cleveland game, Cleveland's offense couldn't do shit, and the
Chiefs kind of just twenty one to seven. They just
let the game kind of just end. It was kind

(07:57):
of a strange game for Mahomes and company. Of course,
he got hurt in that game too, so I do
think he hops a wide receiver three. But to be
honest with you, bring your starts well you can't, obviously
we'll be out. But if you have some startsick questions
for Hopkins here, I don't think he's an auto star
at all. Actually, the only guy in the receiving court.
I think it's an auto star is going to be
Nico Collins swiped out of the Steelers and the Ravens.

(08:20):
George Pickens of course out again, which is notable. There's
been some rubblings that Mike Williams could finally be up
to speed and ready to take on a bigger role
in that offense. You also have Nelson Aglar has been
kind of playing in a rotation for as like the
third receiver is going to be out, and then Deshaun
Elliott is starting safety for the Steelers will be out,
so I should definitely help in the back end for
guys like Mark Andrews and company. What's your thoughts here,

(08:42):
any notable Steelers or Ravens players.

Speaker 3 (08:44):
I mean, I'm exciting because I that Deshaun elliotts out
because I just picked on up Cavonte Kazi and my
thirty two team IDP League, so very nice that As
for the rest of the world, this might be one
of the worst wide receiver fantasy games we've ever seen.
Like there is one player side of my top fifty
in this whole game, and I don't feel good about him.

(09:06):
At all. I'm not particularly interested in Zay Flowers. The
Steelers have really good against wide receivers. I mean, that
defense is just pretty solid in general, particularly good against
the passing game. Very hard to feel good about Zay Flowers.
He's been average of late. He's not a massive part
of this of this offense. He's just a working part

(09:28):
that makes it function. He's not someone they're going to
rely on. They get a lot of touchdowns out of
the likes of Rashad Bateman, they got injuries elsewhere. I mean,
it's just really hard to feel good about any of
their wide receivers, especially if they continue to rely on
guys like Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely. So you've got
that issue there. Then you've got George Pickens out for
the Steelers, and he's the only Steelers receiver you can

(09:49):
rely on. The thing I at least like about Calvin
Austin is he's finally starting to play a highest snap percentage.
This is really the first time since Picktons have been
out that we've seen him up towards like he just
had snaps. He hasn't just been playing at eleven personnel anymore.
He's also coming in and playing out wide when they're
using twelve personnel, and they do luck to use twelve personnel,

(10:09):
so I do feel like he becomes more relevant than
he has in the past. But he's really the only
Steelers receiver that I feel you can feel any good about.
So for the most POWs you probably have to start
him if you're desperate. Vitaman is a good stash for
next week. And that's about it, really.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
Yeah, And when you're looking at how you beat these
defenses in our slopers wide too, both perimeter defenses. They
both have been good in the slot over the last
six weeks. Flowers is more of a little bit of
a hybrid, but the Steelers are not an air ars defense.
Like if you look at who allows the most Aera yards,
it's the Ravens. Most of that was done early on
in the year. Like I think it'd be a fun

(10:46):
DFS play is Mike Williams on Saturday. I don't think
I'm gonna trust starting him at all. And then for
Save Flowers, I do think he's a wide receiver.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
Three. He did find the end zone the last time
these two teams played.

Speaker 1 (10:57):
But it's it's very notable that these games get ugly
like Lamar Jackson just hasn't really played amazing.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
Against the Steelers.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
And that's and listen, we're talking about Lamar Jackson standards.
We're talking he's an elite quarterback, elite fantasy quarterback. When
he faces the Steelers, he kind of kind of falls
back into that borderline QB one number. So I think
Flowers is definitely a you could justify sitting him, but
I don't think he's a mustet at all. Listen, the
numbers say that he should get enough opportunities against the

(11:28):
Steelers on the outside, So I'm not overly stressed about it.
All right, Giants at Falcons just always love talking giants.
It's just my favorite time of year. Nothing really crazy,
except for the Penix thing where Pendix will get to
start this week. And so if you watch the last
five weeks of the Falcons, I think all of us
can agree that just Kirk Cousins just right now doesn't

(11:51):
get much worse.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
It was pretty bad.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
He can't move in the pocket, and I want to
give the guy a pass. He tore his achilles. That's
how I feel about it, and I think we should
have all kind of seen that comment a little bit
where he tore his achilles his mid mid thirties, and
maybe it would have taken a little more time for
him to get back to normal, And so this is
probably a good thing. The Giants are going to be
down a couple of key guys up front mostly, but

(12:14):
Tyler Nuban, their star safety, is going to be out
in this game. So any thoughts about the Giants Falcons,
any kind of name stand out to you.

Speaker 3 (12:22):
Look, I'm excited to see what the Falcons look like.
I've got a friend who just in the last month
or two is finally started to get into the NFL
and the reasons they don't understand. She decided that her
favorite player was going to be Kirk Cousins, so she's
absolutely devastated. This way, I kind of explained that when
a player has one touchdown and nine interceptions over the
last five or six games, that's not a good thing.

(12:45):
That's not really what they're looking for from their starting quarterback.
This is not a case of them tanking and kind
of seeing what they have in Penix. They're still very
much in playoff contention, so they need to make this work.
This is a game they absolutely must win. The Falcons
have to come out here and make that work, and
you think with a rookie quarterback, they're going to do

(13:06):
that on the ground. It doesn't really make sense for
them to be airing it out against the Giants when
they're heavy favorites, when you know this is the kind
of situation where you can definitely run on the Giants.
The Giants have conceived the fourth most points to running
backs this season. I don't think they're going to need
to use their wide receivers a lot. I feel like
this is the kind of game where you start Drake London,

(13:27):
but he's not a wide receiver one this week he's
very much a wide receiver too. You can't trust Damel Mooney.
He's really gone down of late. It's a really ugly situation.
And as for the Giants, I mean, who knows what's
going on there. Whenever Drew Drew locks under center, it's
just a total lottery. I feel like, again you have
to start Molik Neighbors. We know how many points the

(13:48):
Falcons conceive. The wide receivers again, conceive the fourth most
points to wide receivers this season, So you feel like
you have to start Neighbors. But you can't feel good
about anybody else. So there's probably two receivers that I'm
okay with Neighbors and and London, and that's probably about it.
And even then I don't feel great. I just feel
like I have to stop them because they kind of
the stots on their teams.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
Yeah, the Giants haven't really conceded that many fantasy points
to wide receivers over the last six weeks, and part
of that has to do with the fact that their
offense sucks and that they can't stop the run.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
So you know, these are this kind of the things
where when you're looking at our slot versus y tool,
they are a.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
Sloft funnel defense to the Giants. Uh, they have been.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
Actually forty percent of their Fantasy points for the slot.
That's a little bit above average. And Drake London actually
does get a decent amount of looks in the slot.
You look at his targets in the slot, it's about,
you know, a third to about forty percent of his targets.
And so, honestly, I think Drake London is a fine player.
But it's hard for me to tell you what Michael
Pennis is going to be. I have no idea like

(14:51):
I'm sorry, but like, I don't know if Michael Penick's
is gonna go out there and ball out.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
I mean, sure he could. This is your fantasy Semis.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
All I can tell you is if you have Drake London,
you have to really evaluate your roster and say, is
there a guy on the roster that I feel more
confident in this week over Drake Lynon. He is not
an auto start in any means, but I do think
he's start a ball and Milik Neighbors has a smash matchup.

Speaker 2 (15:12):
I mean, the Falcons have been terrible. The problem is
the quarterback play.

Speaker 1 (15:17):
You know Drew Lock is going to start this week,
and so God, God, I don't really care.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
I don't really care that much. I think you're hoping
for some volume.

Speaker 1 (15:26):
The one thing I will say when you look at
Drew Lock historically last year with the Seahawks, his first
start was terrible. His second star he actually played okay.
DK Metcalf played well in the second March start. There's
your justification if you want to stay. There's your glimmer
of hope for Elik Neighbors playing well. All right, Lion's
at bears a lot of injuries for the Lions, I

(15:47):
think the most notable. Of course, David Montgomery's going to
definitely change the dynamic a little bit, but the Lions
are at Chicago and that's always been kind of an
ugly game for the Lions. And then Charlton Davis, who's
the star cornerback for the Lions, will be out, so
definitely a big time boost for DJ Moore and roal
Ma dooonsday.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
What's your thoughts about this matchup?

Speaker 3 (16:05):
Oh, one thing I wanted to add on the previous matchup.
By the way, please stop asking me if you should
start Michael Penix this week. No, you definitely shouldn't start
Michael Panics this week. That is insane. It makes no
sense to start a rookie quarterback in his first game. No,
just no.

Speaker 1 (16:22):
Anyway, before you say anything else with that, my advice
to everybody is this. If you, let's say, for example,
Penis goes off on your bench, you're gonna be like, ah,
that sucks, but like, hey, you know who would have
thought if he sucks in your starting lineup, You're gonna
feel like an idiot and honestly, like, go play the
players where if they fail in your starting life, you're like, well,

(16:43):
it made sense at the time. I could justify starting
him if you go with Penix and you're like, I'm
going to roll the dice. There's nothing in the data
that says you should start him. So if he goes off, great,
good for you. But if he goes if he does
not play well or not even that, let's say he's
just more conservative. Either he gets you like fourteen because
it is a conservative style offense, whatever, you're still gonna

(17:03):
be pissed off, like why did I started this? Guys
just started somebody out, So anyway, go ahead that.

Speaker 3 (17:09):
Yeah, you're right, Like, I think a good week for
him is going to be like two hundred yards and
one touchdown. Like if that happens, I'll be like, oh,
he did pretty well. Like we're not talking about a
situation where we're going for three hundred yards and three touchdowns.
That's not happening in this game. There's no reason for
that to happen because they can just run all day anyway.
Team that definitely can't run all day is going to

(17:32):
be the Bears because the lines are very good against
the run and they remain a little bit weak against
the past. So I do think this is one of
those situations where you definitely want to be starting your
wide receivers for Chicago. Dj Moore is still a wide
receiver too. We had that really wacky run where he
was terrible at one stage earlier this season and he

(17:53):
just couldn't be relied on. But he has started to
come good obviously against the lines. A couple of weeks
ago he had sixteen targets for ninety seven yards and
a touchdown. I'm not saying that's going to happen again,
but I do think that he is certainly becoming a
very clear strong part of this offense. He's their number
one guy, and you're going to see a whole lot

(18:14):
of Keenan Allen as well. He is borderline wide receiver too.
This week. He had thirteen targets last week against the Vikings,
and against the Vikings previously had fifteen targets. So look,
he definitely shows up against weak pass defenses, and the
Lions are one of those. You had seventy three yards
sorry and two touchdowns last time you face them. So

(18:34):
for me, you've got to start Dj Moore and Keenan
Allen nearly a wide receiver too as well. I feel
like you kind of have to start him outside very
shallow leagues. As for the Lions, Aman Rasen Brown, I mean, look,
he's a starter every single week. No surprises there. But
Jameson Williams against the against the Bears, I mean, this
is a really awkward matchup. They've can see the fourth
viewest points this season to wide receivers. I don't think

(18:55):
I can touch Jamison Williams in this matchup. One of
the Lions guys will have a good but we have
no idea who it's going to be, and the rest
will be terrible. And for that reason, I would rather
avoid Jamison Williams if I can help it. The last
one of the interest is Roma Dunzay, and I think
he really has fallen back into that wide receiver three
role in this offense. He's just not getting the targets,

(19:17):
all the snaps. He hasn't been over fifty yards in
over a month. And they've had some really good matchups
against the Vikings twice against the Lions, he's had a
couple of boom weeks, but they are in random weeks
against teams that aren't even that week. Against wide receivers,
they just shut down the top guys. I don't think
that's gonna happen here. So Roma Dunze is someone that
you shouldn't be risking.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
Yeah, it's just a different animal when it's in Chicago.
You know, when you when you see Jared Goff roade
golf in December, like, you're gonna probably see a much
lower ceiling. And so the biggest thing that happened in
the last game was they were in the Dome Golf
and the Lions took a big lead and the Bears
came all the way back, And honestly, I just don't
think that's going to be the game flow. I think

(19:58):
this is going to be a much uglier game for
Jared at golf. I don't think he's gonna go off
for a couple of touchdowns and three hundred plus yards.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
I think he's gonna be uh, you know, kind of annoying.

Speaker 1 (20:06):
Jared Goff's kind of earned a little bit of like
he's a good quarterback, he'll be fine. I'm not saying
he's gonna, you know, go for one hundred and twenty
five and three interceptions. But I just think that the
ceilings capped. And to be honest with you, DJ Moore
is kind of the only wide receiver for the Bears.
I feel overly confident in this week with Charlo the
Davis injury, and the same thing goes on the other side,
and I'm monro like, I'm not Jamison Williams road. The

(20:29):
Lions are very home. You want to start these guys
on the road. That's where things get a little hairy,
especially outdoors in December. So I think it's aman Ran
DJ Moore for me and everybody else. I'm gonna try Mby.
We'll see, we'll see. Honestly, I think he's kind of
It depends on who you're gonna Honestly, I'll take Jalen McMillan,

(20:49):
you take Keenan Allen.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
We'll see how that one goes.

Speaker 3 (20:51):
This week.

Speaker 2 (20:52):
I'll take the deep ar throat.

Speaker 3 (20:53):
There, all right, car all right?

Speaker 1 (20:55):
Cardinals Cardinals at Panthers. The big one is ziegerl La
Guet is going to be out in this game, so
Cooker should really get a lot of looks in this
matchup against the Cardinals.

Speaker 2 (21:06):
Any thoughts about the Cardinals Panthers matchup.

Speaker 3 (21:10):
Oh, is probably my first reaction. This is going to
be sloppy. This feels like the kind of game where
you're going to see a lot of James Connor, especially
because Trey Benson is out. I'm ranking him top five
this week, which is crazy a lot of Tuber Hubbard
because you can definitely run on the Cardinals, I think yeah,
and I think you're probably going to see a fair
bit of Trade McBride as well. So where other wide

(21:33):
receiver is going to be involved, I mean, look, the
Cardinals do. Sorry, the Panthers do concede a lot of
points in general, but the one thing they do pretty
well is they're able to shut down wide receivers. Okay,
and I only say okay because it's relative to all
the other positions. Because they're top six in conceding points
to every other fantasy position except wide receivers. They seem

(21:54):
to have a sold secondary when you've got guys like j. C.
Horn kind of makes sense. But look, this is not
a great for the likes of Marvin Harrison Junior. And
he is the only Cardinal that he even consider starting,
and he's been poor for ages. He had this awful
run of games from about Week five to about week
eleven where every single matchup was the top was like

(22:15):
a bottom ten wide receiver matchup, and he's still managed
to go off against the Dolphins, and he still manages
to score a touchdown against the Jets, and I thought, oh,
this is really good news. He's going to go to
Seattle and the Vikings and the Patriots and he's going
to look fantastic because they're such good matchups by comparison,
and he hasn't gone over sixty yards. He's still getting targets,
but it's just not happening. They're not going to him.

(22:36):
They're going to trade McBride. It's like it's like that
meme with the kid drowning, and the kid drowning is
like Marvin Harrison junior and Trade McBride's like being played with.
And so he's James Connor and then of course there's
Michael Wilson at the bottom of the ocean. Like this
is the situation we're talking about here. They're not using
their wide receivers, so you have to start Marvin Harrison Junior,

(22:57):
but you don't feel good about it. He's like a
wide receiver option. If he's if you need a wide
receiver three, he's the guy and you can't start anybody else.
And you don't feel good about it. As for the
Panthers guys, I mean, I guess it's Adam Thielen, but
again it's risky. You just kind of have to take
that risk with Pilan. He is their number one guy
at the moment. He's the guy that they can rely on.

(23:18):
So I feel like you have to start feel and
he has what twenty eight targets in the last three weeks.
He's gone for like two hundred and fifty yards in
that time. He's been very efficient. They haven't even had
the best matchups. He's just kind of making it work.
So I think Adam Thielen is the guy to rely
on in this game in Jail and Kolker. I mean,
he's going to be their wide receiver too. And we've

(23:40):
settled this stuff, and yet it'll probably somehow still be
a David Moore game.

Speaker 2 (23:44):
Nice. I love it.

Speaker 1 (23:46):
I like Marvin Harrison because of when you look at
who really beat it. First of all, the Carolina Panthers
aren't outside defense. You could beat them on the perimeter
if you're going to beat them with any type of receiver,
and then you kind of go through the guys who
have beat them re It is these bigger Like we
talk about this a lot. There's like good defenses, but
when they play the best receivers, they don't have the

(24:08):
talent to keep up. And so in Carolina kind of
reminds me that if you look at the guys Lamb
went off against them, DeVonta Smith had a nice game.
I know AJ Brown didn't have a good game, but
Mike Evans had a nice game.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
DeAndre Hopkins found.

Speaker 1 (24:21):
The end zone, and like you know, even like Malik
Nighbors at six for six catches for fifty yards. Whatever
you want to call the Giants passing game at this
point of the season, but it just seems like the
better receivers play well. So I'm okay with Marvin Harrison
and Adam Field is the guy. This is a slot
funtal defense and for the Arizona Cardinals, they allow fifty
one percent of their fantasy points over the last six

(24:42):
weeks to the slot.

Speaker 2 (24:43):
Come on, Adam, let's do it, baby. I'm excited for you.

Speaker 1 (24:46):
He's in the lineups if you have all right rams
at Jets. So some injuries to the interior of the
Jets secondary with Michael Carter and Jalen Mills are going
to be out this week, but they should have their
perimeter guys back. So that's Pooka, thinks a loupoul. I'm
not ever concerned about Pooka, but Cooper Cup coming off
the goose egg does have a has a shot here.

Speaker 2 (25:08):
It really bounce back, which it thoughts you've.

Speaker 3 (25:09):
Been Yeah, it's an interesting game where you've essentially got
two teams with two really good wide receivers each, a
couple of veteran quarterbacks. A lot of nice symmetry about
this game. Honestly, if this game was in LA, I'd
actually feel pretty good about it for both teams. The
fact that in New York is fine. I guess. I
feel like Aaron Rodgers has a good chance of having
a solid game here. I feel like he's a solid

(25:32):
streaming option as a quarterback. I feel like Matthew Stafford
might struggle a little bit, but they're going to have
to move the ball on the Jets somehow, So I
feel like this is the kind of game where we
could see some points and I kind of feel good
about starting all the stard wide receivers here. The over
under on this game is forty six and a half points,
which is the second, second or third highest of this week.
So look, this should be a game where the wide

(25:55):
receivers eat. I would start any of the starts here.
I definitely start to Vuye t Adams. I definitely stopped
playing the kupa, and realistically, Coba Cup and Garrett Wilson
they close to being wader save the twos at the moment,
but I'm definitely starting them as well as for the
other guys in this game. And I thank you.

Speaker 2 (26:11):
Yeah, the only thing I saw.

Speaker 1 (26:13):
Stafford's a guy that I've been thinking about too, talking
about last year they played the Giants and he threw
for three hundred yards but only one touchdown, two interceptions,
and and like, I just feel like there could be
just like a little bit of that going on in
this game where they're playing in the meadowlands. It's the
winter time, it's gonna be pretty cold. It's but at
the same time, like the Jets are a slough on
the defense. For the love of God, they're missing two

(26:35):
guys that play in the in the inside. Yeah, like
Cooper Cup should bounce back. Historically he's been better against
zone but and the Jets lean a little more man
coverage but still heavy zone.

Speaker 2 (26:48):
Everybody pretty much plays heavy zone these days.

Speaker 1 (26:50):
But yeah, so I think I would have to play
cup is if you if you're starting a free receiver
or a flex, he's probably there for you.

Speaker 2 (26:57):
Uh, and the same to get you can't.

Speaker 1 (26:59):
Sit Adams, And honestly, Adams after last week, he's in
your lineups, And the same thing goes for Garrett Wilson.
It just seems like the more attention Adams is going
to start getting, Garrett Wilson gets more one on ones,
and I think they're going to be good. So I
think you're right about all four guys being in your
laneups all right. Eagles and Commanders. Dallas Gotta Noel Brown
are the key injuries for the offenses in this game,
but pretty much most of the studs will be active

(27:20):
and ready to go. Which your thoughts here for Eagles Commanders.

Speaker 3 (27:24):
It's one of those weird ones where these are two
passing defenses that were truly appalling last season. I feel
like these were like number one and two the last
couple of seasons on points conceded to wide receivers, and
all of a sudden they're suddenly good and they've been
working on their secondary a lot. We know, the Eagles
went to town on the NFL Draft, picking up guys
like Cooper de Gene and Quinny and Mitchell and things

(27:47):
like that, and then they've got a really strong secondary
and they conceded the fewest points two wide receivers so
far this season. Meanwhile, the Commanders got rid of Emmanuel Forbes,
started to bring in some proper call backs, and all
of a sudden they look solid there as well. So
two teams that are a lot harder to pass on
than they used to be. The good news for Commander's

(28:08):
wide receivers is that it's also very difficult to do
anything else against the Eagles. Their defense is just really good.
They've considered the fewest points to wide receivers, but also
the second fewest points to running backs, the third fewest
points two quarterbacks, the six fewest points to tight ends.
The Eagles defense is just really good this season. So
for that reason, I feel like the Commanders will have

(28:28):
to rely on their studs, and their stud is Terry McLaurin.
We've seen that Terry mclaurin's been very good in games
where they've been good, so I feel like Terry McLaurin
is someone the absolutely must start because that upside is
so huge. He's getting a large amount of targets. Now
the problem is that's the theory. But the only bust
he's had in the last well since we two, really

(28:51):
against your giants, was against Philly. Now that was a
middlely at Billy, but he had two targets, he went
for ten yards. He absolutely busts the own only time.
He's not been a top twenty six receiver since Week two.
Can we trust him again? I think you have to.
I just think you have to assume that because it
happened in one game, it doesn't mean it will definitely

(29:12):
happen in the next. I feel like they're going to
have find a way to work around that and use
Terry McLaurin. As for the Eagles, guys, I mean you
have to start AJ Brown. I know you're not not
feel comfortable about it. He's on a top five guy
like he watched previously, but he's still have to start
a J. Brown. And I think we've seen devon Toa
Smith be pretty good the last couple of weeks. If
he's healthy, I feel like DeVonta Smith is someone you

(29:32):
can start as well.

Speaker 2 (29:35):
No shout up. Sorry, Terry McLaurin.

Speaker 1 (29:36):
I'm sorry, Like, I mean one catch ten yards and honestly,
like if you look at our home road splits, he's
actually better on the road this season, honestly, Like, I
just feel like this is not a risk worth it
to me. The second lowest fantasy points allowed out why
McLaurin is not moved around the formation much. He basically
plays on the left side of the formation and that's

(29:59):
what he does, and so it makes it a lot
easier to cover him because he's not moved into the
slot a lot. I don't I don't believe the Eagles
are gonna allow Terry McLaurin to beat him like they
did last time. I would say if I would rather
start a guy like those guys of the Jalen McMillan
types where I feel confident in the matchup, no, Kate Awton,
I would start them.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
I am not starting Terry McLaurin this week.

Speaker 1 (30:21):
That's just I'm ow on the flip side for the Eagles,
like you're not gonna sit a J.

Speaker 2 (30:25):
Brown and even DeVonta Smith.

Speaker 1 (30:27):
I actually do want to pull up the uh the
Washington points allowed because how have Duo's played against the
Washington Commander. Yeah, I mean Tennessee, New Orleans doesn't really matter.
Ceedee Lamb and Tobert played alright. Mike Williams found the
end zone with Pickens. Yeah, I think I'm good with
Smith and ag Brown. I think my hot take is

(30:49):
I'm not playing Terry McLaurin. I do see before we
dive into some of the additional matchups. We do see you, guys,
mister Magic, Tyler Gage, we got you, guys. We see
your questions. We're gonna ad for all your questions at
the end of the podcast. We do appreciate staying out.
We had a couple more matchups to go. Let's break
it down. Browns at Bengals. The Browns front, I mean,
the Bengals front is a disaster, so I'd be curious,

(31:11):
especially no Nick Schubb. You know, I don't know how
much room Ford is gonna dominate on the ground, but
it is notable. The Brown Bengals front is really banged
up on defense. Greg Newsome, one of their better hybrid corners,
is out going to be out for this game, so
that definitely should help T Higgins and and of course
to Mark Chase smashed any kind of notable standouts.

Speaker 2 (31:29):
Of course dtr is going to be starting. No jamis
how you're feeling about Jerry Judy.

Speaker 3 (31:35):
I mean, look like you said, the Bengals guys absolutely
have to start him jamachas every single week number one
receiver and the league T Higgins definitely stop Marvel wide
receive it to you this week because it is the Browns.
The Browns have to can save it a lot of
points this season, but that kind of gotten a little
bit better of light against wadro Sas as for the Browns,
I mean, normally this would be a great matchup. The

(31:57):
Bengals can save a lot of points to Wader Saviors.
If you're gonna attack the Bengals, it's generally in the
air this season. They've actually sived the most points to
tight ends this season, which is very interesting. But assuming
David and Joku's out, you have to feel like they're
going to have to use their wide receivers and Jerry
Judy he kind of has to be the guy. I
don't know what's happening with Cedric Tillman. I've been expecting
him back for weeks and he hasn't been. He's someone

(32:18):
I'm really disappointed in because he's looking so good for
a while, but this is all ruined by not having
Jameis Winston. I feel like they just hate our fantasy teams.
They're just like, you know what, We're just going to
remove Jameis Winston. We're removing all joy from your lives,
and we're going to start DTR. And this is going
to make this game really, really, really boring. So for me,

(32:41):
I don't know, Jerry g is like a wide receiver three.
I can't trust Elijah Moore anymore. I can't trust Cedric
Tillman until he's fully back. So Jerry Judy is and
maybe the rest of the those and I hate that
so much.

Speaker 1 (32:53):
It's the holidays, Cleveland, like, get it together. We're the
season of giving, not taken away. You don't take James
from us right when we're in the fantasy playoffs, you
selfish be sobs Higgins Chase great. I mean, I am
not starting Jerry Judy with DTR.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
Call it a day. That's how I feel about that one.
All Right, Titans Colts the major one.

Speaker 1 (33:13):
Alex Pierce gonna be out, maybe could help Funnald to.
I think Ady Mitchell, though, is a very capable number
four and will step right into that role. No big deal,
Juju Brent's cornerback might return this week. We'll see any
thoughts about the Titans Colts in this matchup?

Speaker 3 (33:29):
Uh yeah, I don't really love anyone in this matchup,
which which I know is weird. But these are two
teams that are very good against wide receivers. The Colts
they can see a lot of points to running backs
and tight ends, but not so much wide receivers, and
the Titans are exactly the same. They don't even can
save a lot of points to anyone in particular. But
if you're going to attack the Titans, it's generally on

(33:49):
the ground. So it feels like it could be the
week for Jonathan Taylor. As for their receivers, I mean,
Josh Downs is still the guy, Michael Pittman, he just
generally doesn't look as good with Anthony Richardson. He's getting targets.
He's had at least seven targets every game since he
returned from injury, which is weird, but he's not really
doing enough with it. He doesn't have a touchdown, he's

(34:11):
only gone over sixty yards once. Very hard to feel
good about him. In this matchup, so I definitely can't
start Pittman, and I feel like with Downs, I mean, again,
he's getting the targets, but he's struggling to make those
big plays he was making a few weeks ago. It
might be that now he's fully back from injury, he's
fine to go, but I can't trust him. I can't

(34:31):
start Downs, I can't start Pittman. I definitely can't start
Nick Westbrook a Kine unless I'm in a league where
touchdowns are worth five hundred points and nothing else gives
you any points. So realistically, the only guy in this
game that should be in your lineups is Cavin Ridley,
and even then, he's more of a wide receiver three.
He's dropped off a little bit the last few weeks,
but he still has plenty of upside. He's just been

(34:51):
so disappointing in good matchups that it's really hard to
trust him this week. But I feel like you still
need Ridley as like a wide receiver three flex option.

Speaker 1 (35:00):
Yeah, and it really looked really good with Mason Rudolph
early on the year, so I feel comfortable with it.
It's not an exciting matchup, especially the Colts has really
done a really good job over the last few weeks,
especially some notable wide receivers like Courtland Sutton did find
the end zone only three for thirty two. You know
Alman Ross, Saint Brown's six for sixty two. Like, yeah,

(35:21):
these are okay performances. They're not gonna win you your week,
but I feel like the good receivers far do enough
to get you some double digits. On the flip side,
this is d number one out wide funnel defense. When
you're looking at Tennessee Titans, they are dominant, dominant against
the slot. Like they have allowed the least about of
fantasy points to the slot in our magic seven points

(35:43):
seven fantasy points over the last six weeks, and they
allow seventy seven percent of their fantasy points out wide.
I would if I started Josh Downs, I would basically
like being like Christian and not believing in God. It'd
be like, well, the slot first wide is my thing.
I cannot start josh Awen or recommend it. Knowing all this,
it's really a Pittman thing for me. Like I think

(36:04):
Pittman might be because of the matchup. Start a ball
as a wide receiver three because it's it is tough
to trust him with Anthony Richardson, of course, but just
the matchup itself.

Speaker 2 (36:14):
Might be best to fade.

Speaker 1 (36:15):
But if I'm gonna pick anybody, it's gonna be Pittman
just because of that. And of course that's gonna mean
Josh Jawllens is gonna break the slate and just make
me sad all the time.

Speaker 2 (36:24):
All right, Vikings at Seahawks.

Speaker 1 (36:27):
Stefan Gilmore should be back in this game, which is
good news for that Vikings defense. Now the bigger concern though,
is the weather. There has been a lot of noise
about some rain in the Upper Northwest. You know, that's
how it always is up there. I get that, but
that could be a factor here. And so what your
thought's Viking Seahawks a lot of big names in this one.

Speaker 3 (36:46):
I mean, look, it does seem like there's going to
be some Ryan, But as long as it's just Ryan
without a lot of winds, usually we say that that's
not a major issue. I'm definitely still gonna be starting
justin Jefferson every single week. I feel like Jaya San
has surprising turned into the number one receiver for the Seahawks.
That's kind of happened a year or two earlier than
I thought it would. But he's been excellent the last

(37:06):
what six seven weeks I think every week since Week eight,
which is now half the seed, over half the season,
he's scored at least sixty nine yards every week. That's crazy.
He's someone that you can absolutely rely on. So I
feel like you have to start Jason, especially given that
the Vikings this season have conceided the most points of
all teams to wide receivers. This feels like just a
good opportunity for him to go off. But I need

(37:29):
to see what's going on with DK Metcalf. This is
just such a strange situation. They're talking about shoulder injuries,
but he doesn't have an injury designation. Ever since he
came back from injury after their bye week, I mean,
he hasn't been a top thirty wide receiver. He's been
a top thirty wide receiver one since week since Week four,
week three, Like, it's absolutely crazy. I don't understand what's

(37:50):
going on with DK. He's meant to be an elite receiver,
but all of a sudden, he's not playing like one.
I just I don't understand what they're doing. This team
could be playing a lot better if they were using
DK more effectively. Only had three targets last week. It's
just it's very disappointing. He's hard to trust, but the
matchup's really good, and I feel like you kind of
still need to trot him out there because he's DK

(38:10):
Metcalf and because it's a fantastic matchup. If you're not
gonna start him this week, you're just playing not going
to start him at all. This is the week to
start him if you're going to start him. So, I
don't know, I don't like it, but DK Metcalf's like
a wide receiver three for me, and Jordan Addison's kind
of in that same situation where a little bit boom bust,
but he's had a lot of good weeks recently. I
feel like you have to start Addison.

Speaker 1 (38:31):
Yeah, you gotta hope Geno's okay. Obviously, the cap injury
or whatever you had last week derailed derailed that game.
It was awful. Honestly, JS said he was rolling and
then when Gino went out it was over.

Speaker 2 (38:44):
This is the matchup for DK Metcalf. Get him in
your lineups.

Speaker 1 (38:48):
Number two air yards allowed this season is the Vikings
that is how you beat That's.

Speaker 2 (38:52):
What DK does and the squeaky Wheel.

Speaker 1 (38:55):
The OC's out there talking about, Yeah, we gotta get
DK involved. This is the week, feel confident and started.
As long as the weather permits. You have to be
on top of the weather report in this one, because
if it's downpouring in Seattle, I don't care. I don't
want anything to do with it. If I can avoid it,
I can. Jays N's too hot right now. I like
the fact that Tyler Lockett's clearly taking a back seat,

(39:16):
Like it's not like Tyler Lockett's getting six targets every
single week and it's kind of mucked up. It's clearly
JSN and and he's the number one, and then DK
of course on the outside. So I'm not I'm not
fading Jasn. Even though it's a tough slot matchup against
the Vikings. I think he's I think he's fine. I'm sorry,
it's not it's not a tough match up at all
for the against the Vikings. Everybody plays well against bikes,

(39:38):
but I man is on the Viking side. I think
Addison gets a little concerning because if you're looking at Seattle,
they've been really tough over the last six weeks against receivers,
and last week it was, uh, you know, if you're
looking at the like the basically the guys who they faced,
Jennings went off, no one else went off. You have
to go all the way back to the Rams game
where Cooper Cup and Otakua both went off in that game.

(40:02):
But then the Jets it was only DeVante Adams. Garrett
Wilson only had five for forty one. Then you go
to the Harrison and the Arizona game. Wilson found the
end zone, but neither guy had a monster game. And
then even last week the Packers, Yeah, Dobbs did find
the end zone twice, but he only had forty yards.
I mean, I get that that game got a little
weird because of the injury to Gino, so I guess

(40:23):
I'll give it a pass. But there hasn't been a
lot of duos that really dominated them over this new stretch.
So I would say Addison's proven to be good enough
to be a wide receiver free, but honestly, I think
he's a It's tough for to trust him with the
improvement at seat Owl secretary. All right, Patriots, at Bill's
we do have Marcus Jones slot cornerback for the Patriots

(40:44):
are out. That's good news for Khalios secure thoughts about
this game Bills Patriots.

Speaker 3 (40:50):
I think I mentioned the Ravens Pittsburgh game and I
said this is one of the worst wide receiver games
we've seen. I'd like to take that back. This is
the worst wide receiver game we say this is. This
is awful. This is just awful. Khalil Shaki is someone
that you can you can I don't want to say
rely on, but compared to everyone else, he is absolutely unbelievable.

(41:10):
He's a sort of wide receiver three option, but you
can't trust anyone else. I don't know why Buffalo traded
for Ramari Cooper and then made him run fifteen routes
in seventy snaps, Like what are we doing here? Like
this is an elite wide receiver and you're barely using
it makes absolutely no sense. I don't understand what's going on.
They're rotating, they're outside wide receivers. They got key On Common,

(41:33):
who is an elite wide receiver. They're not like elite
rookie wide receiver. They're not using him at all. We're
seeing a whole heap of mac Hollands who can't even
wear shoes, Like, I don't know what's going on. This
is such a weird situation. Just avoid all of the
Bills that aren't Khalil Shakira. You can't trust them in
your fancy playoffs, and you can just never trust any
of the Patriots guys. Like the Patriots guys are like

(41:56):
wide receiver sevens. Like we don't talk about that, but
we do, I think all the way. Like I ranked
welclass one hundred, and the Patriots guys are like in
my wide receiver seven wide receiver eight area. It's just
it's awful. It's absolutely awful. KSh On Booty is the
only guy that's interesting because you can attack the Bills
through the slot. But even then, I mean, I'm sorry,

(42:17):
I'm Tamario Douglas because you can tack through the slot,
but I don't know, I'm not interested, not at all.

Speaker 1 (42:24):
Only Kolio secure to me, is the guy I can
trust here. Tamario Douglas is interesting, but the game should
be in the teams, and honestly, this is a road game.
Drake May has played a lot better, and I know
he played well last week against Arizona in the sense
of like his last two games he had a very
fluky interception. One of them was on the goal line,

(42:45):
so you know, we might have a whole different viewpoint
of him. I think he's playing very well, but he's
on the road in Buffalo. I just want to give
him more. I'm gonna wait till next year to worry
about that. I'm gonna just fade that match I if
I can. And I think Shakolisher is the only guy
who want to worry about a Raiders. This one's good
because we have Adian O'Connell back, so hopefully that helps
the offenses a little bit. Evan Ingram is out, of

(43:06):
course the title that puts Bretton Strange in there. Obviously
it seems like, you know, Jacoby Meyers and also Brian Thomas,
pretty solid matchups with your thoughts here.

Speaker 3 (43:18):
I mean, yeah, there's there's two receivers in this game,
one for each team, and you should be starting both.
Brian Thomas, he's made it inside my top twelve, Like
he is a guy that I trust this week. He's
been very good the last four weeks. He's a very
talented player. We knew that coming out of the draft.
If you could just put it together, he was going
to be fantastic. The Raiders earlier in the season that

(43:40):
were a very tough team to attack out wide. They've
had so many injuries to their cornerbacks that you can
kind of have a little bit more luck against them.
But ultimately, this is not a matchup thing. This is
just a Brian Thomas looking like the guy and MATC.
Jones just seems to absolutely love him as But Jacoby Myers,
I mean, there's only two weapens for the Raiders at

(44:01):
the moment, especially now that's to see mccr mix out.
It's Jacoby Myers and it's Brock Bowers. And against the
Raiders you can definitely score points. So these guys are
going to score points. Third most points conceded against wide receivers,
You're going to see Jacoby Myers have some success. He's
someone that I feel confident about starting as like a

(44:22):
very low end wide receiver too.

Speaker 1 (44:24):
I agree on Myers and I like him a lot
this week too. Let me ask you this, they Flowers or.

Speaker 3 (44:29):
Jacoby Myers, Jacoby Myers.

Speaker 2 (44:32):
Devanta Smith or Jacoby.

Speaker 3 (44:33):
Myers, Jacoby Myers.

Speaker 1 (44:36):
Jordan Addison or Jacoby Myers. Jacoby Myers, all right, was
Brian Thomas, Garrett Wilson or Brian Thomas, Brian Thomas, Amman,
Rascint Brown or Brian.

Speaker 3 (44:47):
Thomas ooh some Brown?

Speaker 1 (44:50):
Okay, all right, yeah, that's it's gonna be tough to
sit Brian Thomas this week. He's he's absolutely awesome and
he's probably in your lineups there. Now I agree with
Jacoby Myers as well. All Right, forty Niners Dolphins, nol Garndo,
the forty nine ers are going to pick off, pick
some random guy off the street and he's going to
rush for one hundred yards. Don't worry about it. Trent
Williams continues to be out with the biggest name is
Jalen Wildel. Being out of this game really should hyper

(45:13):
focus targets over to Tyreek Kill and John new Smith.

Speaker 2 (45:16):
What's your thoughts here?

Speaker 3 (45:17):
Man? Yeah? Patrick Taylor season, Hey, this is a weird
situation in San fran Look, you're going to see George
Kittle have himself a game and we'll just see what
happens outside that. It's so messy against Miami. They've got
such a strong white they're so strong against wide receivers,
and they do shut down the pass really effectively, so

(45:38):
you'd have to expect that the ground game is going
to be effective. I feel like that kind of forces
Deebo into the game a little bit. I think Debo
is going to get a lot of carries, a lot
more than we expect now that they've really down all
of this, all of their reliable running backs. I don't
think they can rely on Patrick Taylor the same way
that they have on their top four guys now that
they're down to number five. So I don't know. I

(46:01):
feel like Devo is someone that you can feel okay about,
especially in the non PPR. Maybe at half PPR, but gosh,
he's still like a wide receiver three at Bessi's. Even
though they tried to force force him into the game
last week, they gave him like seven targets and a
couple of carries, he could still couldn't do anything with it.
He hasn't been over twenty two yards in five weeks.

(46:23):
It's awful. I just I don't understand what's going on
with Devo. Can't feel good about him and Juande Jennings.
I mean, he's okay, Like I feel fun about Juwon Jennings.
He's like a low end wide receiver too, is like
really their only reliable weapon now, And that's like an
insane thing to say, but he really is. Meanwhile, Tyrek Hill,
I mean you've got to start Tyrek Hill, Tyreek Hill,
Januz Smith and Devon A. Channer, the three guys. I

(46:44):
feel really good about this game.

Speaker 1 (46:47):
Yeah, I've seen Tyreek Hills and he's kind of kind
of like Puka Nakua vibe that you know how Nakoua
played against San Francisco last week, kind of similar not
the similar player, but I think they kind of could
attack the defense similarly.

Speaker 2 (47:01):
On the other side.

Speaker 1 (47:01):
Juwan Jennings, I know last week was a tough one,
but Miami, like if you're looking at the last few weeks,
they just I know, Nico found the end zone twice,
only four catches for seventeen yards, kind of fluky. But
then the week prior Adams went off and Wilson. You know,
I just feel like, Juwan Jennings, You're not gonna they

(47:23):
might not be able to run.

Speaker 2 (47:24):
As much as they want in this game.

Speaker 1 (47:26):
And listen, he's just some merged So I think I'm
gonna go back to well and trust Jawan Jennings in
that matchup.

Speaker 2 (47:31):
All Right, Bucks.

Speaker 1 (47:32):
Cowboys the game that I'll be hanging my hat on
for my fantasy playoffs as I'll be starting Cooper Rush
and company in that game. Some notable injuries Kate Atten
doubtful for this game that could really help Jalen McMillan,
one of my favorite sleepers this week. On the defense side,
both safeties will be down once again for the Tampa
Bay Bucks and then Trayvon Diggs. I think, and I

(47:54):
said this on Wednesday, my number one. I'm putting the
house on Mike Evans fantasy score this week like he's
gonna be awesome once again. What your thoughts about this matchup?
Evans in, Ceede lamb In. Is there anybody else that
you would consider us a start this week?

Speaker 2 (48:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (48:10):
Evans an absolute smash spot. Lamb feel really good at
bat team as well. I mean, look, I know you
love Jeala McMillan. I'm just gonna let you talk about
Jala McMillan. I agree, And as for everyone else, not really,
but just take it away tell us about Jaalen McMillan.

Speaker 1 (48:26):
Yeah, when you're just kind of looking at the Tampa
Bay Bucks. They're one of the most past funnel defenses
in football and they have always had a solid run defense,
and so that right there to me says I'm sorry,
I'm messing this up right now, anyway, just forget everything
I just said. I'm totally thinking about the wrong thing.
I'm talking about Genlemenville versus the Cowboys whatever.

Speaker 3 (48:47):
If you it would be amazing, Yeah right, it would.

Speaker 2 (48:50):
Be even better.

Speaker 3 (48:50):
Right.

Speaker 2 (48:51):
Uh No, I just totally messed that holding up.

Speaker 1 (48:53):
Yeah No, it's just really for me, like just kind
of identifying the Kadon situation. Being out is also a
huge factor this. If you're looking at the Dallas Cowboys,
they're one of the biggest out wide funnel defenses in football,
so they allow a lot of fantasy points out wide.

Speaker 2 (49:08):
But it's more like.

Speaker 1 (49:10):
The only thing that worries me a little bit is
that when you watched Jamar Chase a few weeks ago
completely dominate Higgins, didn't do much right, and so I
just have a hard time believing that, like the Cowboys
are just gonna let Mike Evans do that as well.
Deelan had double digits with Cocher last week. If you
go back further, you look at McLaurin and Noah Brown

(49:32):
both had double digit Fantasy points. It's that kind of
to me, shows that multiple receivers can play well against
the Cowboys, and no Treymon digs really makes me kind
of okay this matchup. Plus there's a lot of upside.
I do think the Cowboys played better at home. Cooper
Rush is playing well. I mean it is what it is.
He played well, and the thing I like the most
about Cooper Rush is that he's really good against the

(49:54):
blitz and the Taed Bay Bucks are one of the
blitz heavy defenses in football. So I think overall this
could be a fun game. I think Baker's playing really
well right now, and so I want to time, especially
this time of year in December, where a lot of
these games are gonna be playing seventeen to twenty five
degrees outside freezing cold weather. You got a nice dome
game against a vulnerable pass defense in the Buck in

(50:15):
the Cowboys. Right now, I think it's I think there
could be a solid play this week as well. All right,
Saints at Packers the Monday night football game. No Derek Card,
no Alvin Kamara. You know we're still waiting on the
final injury report. Let's like jay r Alexander should be
back this week. This one, to me is like, do
you trust any of the Green Bay guys in this game?
And I don't know if you could trust any New

(50:36):
Orleans receivers. What's your thoughts you've.

Speaker 3 (50:37):
Been Yeah, I mean look Saints fastadas, don't don't even
bother Marcus Valdez Scambling did not practice on Friday. Now,
admittedly I still got a Saturday because this is the
Monday game, but don't don't trust any of the Saints guys.
This offense is going to run through drym Maybe who
knows this offense is just going to be hordly involved.

(50:59):
You have to. I feel like the Saints are just
going to try to really slow this game down and
grind it out, but ultimately this just feels like an
amazing game for Josh Jacobs. I feel like Josh Jacobs
is absolutely going to go off and one of the
Packers receivers probably scores a touchdown, maybe two of them,
or maybe Tucking Craft does someone does. One or two
of the Packers guys are going to score touchdowns, and
maybe one of them goes over fifty yards. It just

(51:21):
feels like that sort of situation where there's absolutely no
reason for the Packers to go off against the Saints
because at the same time going to be able to
score on them, the Packers defense is good enough to
shut them down. This is a really ugly situation. The
biggest issue in general with the Packers is that Jayden
Reed only plays an eleven personnel and end the slot,
so he's very effective on the few snaps that he gets,

(51:42):
but he's got a very low floor because he's out
there on so few snaps. Romeo Dobbs is the Z receiver,
but he's not fully healthy, so he's not playing on
every snaps and they're using Wicks occasionally in that situation.
Christian Watson is the EX receiver, but he only plays
sixty to seventy percent snaps because they want Dontevian Wicks
to be playing about thirty percent snaps, especially on run flays.
So you've got zero ren savers that you can rely on.

(52:04):
None of them are playing consistent role, and the one
guy that's out there more of the time for Emmy adults,
he's not very efficient on the routes that he's running,
so we get in this ugly situation where none of
them have any value and you can't start a single
receiver in this game and feel good about it.

Speaker 2 (52:19):
The Saints allow a league high yards after they catch.
This season, they have getten crushed and that's where Jaden
Reed really dominates. And so, like, like you said, though,
you're kind of playing with fire. Though, like like last
week is a good example where five six targets for
each of the main receivers and Dobs on the end
zone twice, you know, and so.

Speaker 1 (52:43):
All these you can rationalize every single one of these.
The one thing I will say this is a Yak defense.
This means that like you could beat, they're not. They
do allow a decent amount of air yards, but their
middle of the pack in the NFL and air yards allowed,
so they're eliminating the deep throws, which is Christian Watson.
So I could justify sitting Watson. The guys really are
Jayden Reed, and so I think Reid would probably the

(53:05):
one guy would probably pecking order wise or go read
first than Dobbs, than Christian Watson. But honestly, this is
just kind of the matchup where Josh Jacobs could they
could just run the ball down their throat and by
the way Green Bay Spencer Rattler, they score a defensive time.
This could be This could be a game where Jordan
Loves throws the ball twenty five times and that's it
and everybody gets five to six targets. Good luck, huge risk,

(53:28):
But bring them to your Sunday Live show because we'll
have more on that as well. But let's get into
some question before we close out the show. Obviously, thank
you for taking being Paige. We do appreciate mister magic.

Speaker 2 (53:37):
Yo. What's going on?

Speaker 1 (53:38):
If Pollard misses? Which two do I play? In full PPR?
We got spears Keenan Davante. I feel like DeVante's a
trap with a Saquon Barkley game.

Speaker 2 (53:48):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (53:48):
If Tony Pollard is out spears over Keenan Allen devouta Smith?

Speaker 2 (53:53):
Which your thoughts?

Speaker 3 (53:54):
I mean, you've had me talking about Canaan Allen already.
I feel good about Canaan Allen this week. Do I
s thok him of a Delannta Smith? Probably? I agree
with you. I feel like DeVonta this week is kind
of a risky play. So I would start Canaan Allen
and with Polloed out, I'm probably starting Spears even though
it's PPR. Spies is the receiving back there, so I
would go Spears and Canaan, but I don't feel good

(54:16):
about it. I feel like I'm going to have them
all ranked very close to each other.

Speaker 1 (54:20):
Yeah, I mean, if Pollard's out, I got to feel
pretty confident in Spears, so.

Speaker 2 (54:24):
I think that's kind of easy. The question is who
the start. I'm not overly.

Speaker 1 (54:28):
Excited about Keenan Allen like you are, per Se I man,
I'm I'm actually gonna go DeVonta Smith over Keenan Allen myself.
But you know that's if Pollard misses the game. Let's see,
if Pollard missus, we've got Spears Miller or Pat Checko.
I think Spears is a lock here. If Pollard misses correct,

(54:51):
I agree, all right, we got Pa check overs the
Texans or Abdullah versus the Jags. This is like Gage Edwards, man,
we do a pretty shit you jumping on here, man. Honestly,
Pachecko is like, listen, the matchup is to Abdullah, but
I think we're Adula is the passing game back, and

(55:11):
I don't expect the Jags to go on the Road
and dominate the Raiders to a point where they're throwing
a bunch and using their passing game back. Believe it
or not, I think Alexander Madison's is the better play
this week at home as the favorite, but this is
one where I think it's if it's full PPR, it's close,
But I guess I would still take Pachecko slightly ahead

(55:33):
of Doulah.

Speaker 2 (55:34):
What's your thoughts here?

Speaker 3 (55:34):
Ben? Pachecko and I hate this so much.

Speaker 2 (55:38):
Yeah, I'm not really excited.

Speaker 1 (55:39):
All right, Uh made Pachecko, But if Paula doesn't play, Yeah,
we'll see.

Speaker 2 (55:43):
If Paula doesn't play Tyler, I think you gotta go
with Spears there, easy, Chris.

Speaker 1 (55:47):
Chris was going on man a new name. I don't
remember seen this before, but a Titan would start. We've
got muth or Hunter Henry as for a second flex,
we got Cocher, Spears or Charb. And do you think
Greek plays? I do you think Tybreek is in this week?
I haven't seen anything where he's going to be out.
We got Cocer this week against Arizona. We have Spears
going against Indeapolis Colts, and we have Charb with Walker

(56:10):
back though, which is always a huge question mark there.
I don't think I could trust Charb there. But let's
start with the tight end question Firstmuth or Hunter Henry.

Speaker 3 (56:19):
Yeah, it's a really interesting one. Against the Ravens. You
have to feel like the Steelers are going to have
to move the balls somehow, but you generally do it
with your wide receivers. Probably don't have any wide receivers,
so I don't know. I feel like friar Mouth is
a viable option there. The Bills are really good against
tight ends, so I'm gonna I'm gonna go with Fryarmoth,
but I do have them ranked back to back.

Speaker 1 (56:40):
Yeah, I'm gonna Gomuth as well out of those two.
And then for the flex Coker, Spears, Charp.

Speaker 3 (56:47):
If Pollard plays, then I would go with Sorry. If
Pollard and Walker play, I would go with Cocer. If
Pollard is out, I'd go with Spears. If Walker is out,
which I don't think you will be, I'd go with Schaubinet.
If Walker and Platas are out, I'd go with Schaubinet.

Speaker 1 (57:07):
Walker's in, he's a full practice, doesn't even have an
injury destignation, So yeah, I think Pollard's the one where
it's interesting. He's got three straight DMPs ankle injury, and
we already saw the last week. I think Spears is
the guy I'm gonna go with. They're in Indy fast
Track indoor game. I'm just gonna take the upside with
Spears there as well. All right, Charlie, we got DK

(57:30):
Metcalf or DJ Moore.

Speaker 2 (57:31):
This is a fun one.

Speaker 1 (57:32):
We got the lines match up without Charlton Davis, who
got DK Metcalf Squeaky Wheel gets the grease.

Speaker 2 (57:38):
What's your thoughts here? This is a tough one.

Speaker 3 (57:40):
I mean I can confidently say d J. I'm gonna
go d J more this week.

Speaker 2 (57:48):
Okay, man, I.

Speaker 1 (57:54):
Would say, I mean, so what time are these guys playing?
Because I think the Seahawks are in the late window, right.

Speaker 3 (58:02):
I mean, for me about seven am.

Speaker 2 (58:03):
But yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (58:06):
The only reason why is because there are a lot
of Yeah, they're playing at one oh five, and then
you need to know.

Speaker 2 (58:11):
Yeah, I would say this, like, I honestly really like
DK this week.

Speaker 1 (58:16):
I'm in on DK, but the weather concerns they're real.
So honestly, Charlie, I know this is gonna be a
terrible answer. But I would like for you to come
on the Sunday Live Show two hours before kickoff. We'll
have much more details about the weather there in Seattle.
If it's downpouring, don't even worry about, you know, worried
about that, go right to DJ Moore. But if it
clears up and it looks like it's not gonna be
raining for kickoff, I really like that game for DK.

Speaker 2 (58:37):
I think he's gotta play well, So I'm gonna go DK. Tyler.

Speaker 1 (58:40):
Should I change my kicker from Richard to Ryland? And
by the way, Buddy Ryland's my k one this week?
I picked them up in all my leagues. I'm going
all in. I love them against the Carolina Panthers.

Speaker 3 (58:53):
Yes, yeah, I.

Speaker 2 (58:54):
So love it. Pickens is out too.

Speaker 1 (58:57):
Should I flex and have PPR, Tracey Taylor, Kendre Amari
Worthy or a Duneesa. I'm torn between Tracy and Pat.
What's your thoughts too, bet.

Speaker 2 (59:09):
Huh?

Speaker 3 (59:10):
I like as shaming Tomorrow's out.

Speaker 2 (59:13):
Of course, I'm gonna go Tyron Tracy. Yeah, yeah, you
know what.

Speaker 1 (59:24):
The real the thing with the Atlanta Falcons is that
I'm not overly concerned about their defense. I mean, there
I understand that the Giants are. I know they're on
the road, they're playing against Pennix. I know that's a
whole thing, like we don't know what the upside of
that offen is gonna be. But at the same time,
like just looking at how you they're not overly, they're
not dominated against running backs per se.

Speaker 2 (59:46):
But yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (59:52):
Yeah, that's tough because I think it's I think Pat
Taylor makes it makes some sense.

Speaker 3 (59:56):
Stupid.

Speaker 1 (59:56):
They're on the road against Miami. Don't love that, Kendre.
I'm I'm actually really excited for Kendre.

Speaker 2 (01:00:02):
But Kendre is I feel like it's the guy that.

Speaker 1 (01:00:07):
I would start over like a Pacheco where the matchup
is awful in my opinion, you.

Speaker 2 (01:00:14):
Know, Atlanta doesn't scare me. I gotta maybe have to
look into it more. But like, I don't feel like
Atlanta's run defense is something I need to be worried about.
I know last week the Raiders didn't do much, but
I know they got crushed in the passing game Minnesota. Yeah,
I mean, you know, I mean Aaron Jones thirteen for
seventy three and one touchdown.

Speaker 1 (01:00:34):
Then they faced the Chargers. Then they faced the Denver Broncos,
then they faced New Orleans.

Speaker 2 (01:00:39):
I know, and like it's just yeah, I'm not I'm
not scared off. I'm gonna go Tracy. I'm going with it,
all right.

Speaker 1 (01:00:45):
Dylan, we got playoffs, baby full PPR, lost Ak and Girndo.

Speaker 2 (01:00:53):
Start one one or be one flex.

Speaker 1 (01:00:55):
We got a dullah A Donsay, Spears, Strange in Madison,
and then there's a second league. So let's do that
one first start one running back, one flex, Abdullah O'doonza, Spears,
Strange and Madison.

Speaker 3 (01:01:07):
Oh, I kind of want to stick Strange in the flex,
and assuming Polod's out, to go with Spears. Obviously, if
paulaud is an outgo with Madison.

Speaker 2 (01:01:20):
I agree. I like the answer.

Speaker 1 (01:01:22):
I'm in K one. We got we have one running back.
We got K nine Ford Miller and Spears. I think
this is kind of a loaded question because obviously, if
Pollard's out, I think we both would like Spears. Honestly,
I don't think i'm full on fading Kenneth Walker per Se.
I think we're might be over correcting, but that Minnesota
matchup isn't ideal. But they're home at least, which is good.

(01:01:45):
What's your thoughts here? Which which running back are you prioritizing?

Speaker 3 (01:01:49):
Yeah, I'm very close on Walker and Spears in this situation.
I feel like if Pollod's out, it's probably Spears. It
depends if it's PPR. If it's Pep, definitely Spar. If
it's non pa Pr there pay pay Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:02:06):
Yeah Spears. If Pollard's out. If Pollard is in, I'm
gonna go K nine there. Uh, running back tight end
dst We got K nine Abdullah and Miller. I think
we both could pick K nine. We're good there. Tight
end Henry or Strange. I think we're both going strange defense.
Green Bay Packers are Buffalo Bills.

Speaker 2 (01:02:23):
Which your thoughts here?

Speaker 3 (01:02:24):
Packers same?

Speaker 2 (01:02:26):
I actually have the same exact defense as in my league.
I went Packers as well. Uh.

Speaker 1 (01:02:31):
One last question, if Pollard plays well the issues We're
not gonna know about Pollard until Sunday morning. Pacheco plays
on Saturday, so this is gonna be tough. We're not
gonna be able to answer this question unfortunately, Tyler, because
we're not gonna unless Pawler gets ruled out before the
game kicks off on Saturday, which could be possibly could
be downgraded.

Speaker 2 (01:02:51):
I think I'm okay rolling the dice here and starting Miller.
You know, if if Pachecko, if Pollard plays, I think
I'm good with that. Ye all right?

Speaker 1 (01:03:01):
Neighbors or Brian Thomas, I think William, I think I'm
going Brian Thomas.

Speaker 3 (01:03:05):
With your thoughts here, Ben, ww yes, I am. I
am also gone Brian Thomas. They very close to me,
but I thought Thomas high.

Speaker 1 (01:03:12):
Yeah, mister magic. This is a good question. If I
have Kamara, do you wait? Do I drop him? And honestly,
like I don't really this is a hard question to
ask because like if you need a Ross, if you
need to play a guy right now, like you need
to go pick somebody up, go for it. But if
a Stash, I don't really know if there's gonna be
a Week seventeen Stash, I would say bring your entire
lineup to Sunday, because I do think that's an important distinction.

(01:03:35):
Like I would like to know, like what's on the
waiver wire, what you need you know, like do you
want to pick up a defense proactively for week seventeen,
because like Kamara, I don't think he's coming back.

Speaker 2 (01:03:45):
I just don't what's the point of bringing him.

Speaker 1 (01:03:47):
It's starting to come out that it's more serious than
they thought, and there are seasons almost is basically done.

Speaker 2 (01:03:53):
So I don't think he comes back this season. What's
your thoughts here, Ben?

Speaker 3 (01:03:57):
Yeah, Look, there is a lot of a lot of
buzz that this is something significant. I can't imagine the
situation where he plays again. But having said that, I mean,
what do you need that roster spot for. You've probably
got five or six bench spots. You don't have any
bye weeks coming up. You can't have that many injury issues.

(01:04:18):
I can't imagine, Like, are you rostering extra DSTs and kickers?
And if so, what are you doing? Like, I don't
I don't see why you would need to drop Kamara
at this time this season. I think you probably just
hold him for one more week just to see what happens,
unless we get some really clear news that says something
like he is shut down for the season.

Speaker 2 (01:04:37):
All right, Ben, before it.
