Speaker 1 (00:02):
What up, rass ballers, Welcome back to the program. It
is week sixteen. We got the waiver ads for you
heading into the semi finals of the playoffs, and then
we're actually gonna look ahead to championship week as well,
because we're all gonna win this week and then go
play in the championship as well. So let's beat the
waiver wire this week. If you have an extra spot,
let's cut the dead weight. Let's bolster our rosters, let's
(00:23):
play some defense. Let's get that hashtag Rasball Championship right
now on the ras Ball Fantasy Football Show. What up, everybody,
Welcome back to the program. I'm your host, Sky Guasco,
Sky g u Asco. We've got Maddie Styles up in
(00:46):
the top here in the Lambeau League, live from Lambeau Field.
It as mad is rocking a T shirt in Green Bay. This, folks,
My man's unbelievable. And Jefferson is back the place as well.
That is Jefferson Underscore Underscore Deuce one been handling business
over the last couple of weeks, but he's with us
for the semi final heading into the championship week next week, hopefully,
(01:12):
unless next week is round one and then round two
is in week eighteen, which we talked about last week.
You are not playing your championship in week eighteen. We
advise you not to do that because a lot of
the players, the star players, that they're nursing an injury,
they settle a bye, they don't have any incentive to play.
For a lot of our studs get benched by NFL
teams and we don't have them to play in fantasy.
(01:33):
That could obviously be detrimental to your squad. So please
do not play in the week seventeen or week eighteen,
I should say, if you don't have to, you can
find everything on rasball at rasball NFL on X. You
can of course subscribe right here to the YouTube channel
and find all of our episodes repurpose on the podcast
side as well. That's a Rasball Fantasy football show and
(01:53):
all of our great writers, exclusive content and tools still
available for you throughout the fantasy playoffs in the offseason
at football dot rasball dot com. All right, appreciate you
guys jumping in here. I think it's a meal is
in here already with the question about pickens. We appreciate
(02:14):
that if you guys have any questions, drop them into
the thread. We'll get to those as soon as possible. Tonight, again,
we're getting into the week sixteen waiver wires. Matt's article
is already up and live for you at football dot
rasball dot com, and then Jeff's gonna be looking ahead
at next week for a couple of studs that maybe
are on the waiver wires or maybe you just have
hanging out on your bench. You're gonna want to take
(02:34):
a second look at because start earning your studs is
generally what they say this time of year. But some
of our studs did not come through last week or
they got injured, so you gotta be careful about that.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
Matt. Jeff.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
Good evening, Jeff. I'm gonna kick it off with you, man.
You've been on the road doing some things. How we
feeling back in the saddle. How many teams do you
have heading into the semi finals this season?
Speaker 3 (02:56):
My main league, I have that one, and then in
Rasbull I'm in the wildcard tier, so I've got two
teams left out of my six team So I'm doing good.
Speaker 1 (03:05):
At a babe one third not bad styles, how about you,
hoole League of the.
Speaker 4 (03:10):
Two I made it forward. And one, I mean somebody
to explain to me how number one I had to
play first week of the playoffs, but two why I
lost with a team that has Kyraen Williams, Saquon Barkley,
and Bjon Robinson. There's no reason except they shit the
(03:33):
bed all at the same time that that team should lose,
nor should that team have been five hundred for the season.
But it is, it is what it is. The weeks
they hit, they all hit together. The weeks they missed,
they all missed together. So one home league, we're moving forward.
Scott fish Bowl I am, I believe fifty first overall
(03:55):
and football guys, I moved or maybe I'm guys fifty
one one of the two, but I'm progressing well in
both of them. Now it's really all about points. It's
not head to head. So it's really don't screw up
your roster. You know, you've got to get the right
guys in if especially like Scott Fishbowl, tight end premium
(04:17):
is a big deal. You need people that are going
to rush or catch for first downs, and you need
quarterbacks that are going to throw touchdowns because the yardage
for quarterbacks doesn't matter so I will say that makes
me three. I'm good three ras boll Commissioner didn't do
real well, so I will not be participating any further
(04:38):
in ras ball. And that's about It feels like about
eight weeks deeps that I have have not done much
ras balling.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
Nice, I got someplace, but that's yeah, sure looks nice.
She looks nice. Shout out to our friends of Motel
six not a sponsor we yet, right, Yeah, I got
four teams heading into this my final one coming off
of buy the other three handling business in week one,
still alive in Guillotine. Down to the top three in
(05:07):
Guillotine as well, which is nice. So into the money
round win this week, head to the ship feeling pretty
good about that. Now in Guillotine, it comes down to
which of your studs do you bench? Not setting the
best lineup. It's like, who of your incredible players are
you not playing because they might not do well last week?
(05:27):
I guess well with Cooper Cup the week before that,
it was justin Jefferson. It's kind of wild to do that,
but anyway, that's kind of where I'm at in Guillotine.
If you guys haven't played Guillotine I recommend at least
one league next year.
Speaker 4 (05:37):
You want to let in that super flex guillotine. You
want to let folks know who your quarterbacks are. I mean,
just if you want a humbly brag.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
Yeah, yeah, I mean it's it's not a humble brag.
It's a handling business. Josh Allen, Jared Goff, and then
sitting on my bench, but probably playing over Jared Goff
this week would be Bo Nicks the waiver wires even
more or fun. I'll get into that maybe later on.
Jalen Hurts is on the waiver wire this week, among others.
(06:06):
Guillotines pretty wild. So anyway, all right, so we're gonna
be handling business here. We got week sixteen waiver ads. Matt,
I'm gonna put you on the clock here in about
thirty seconds. Let's get to this question here from Amal though,
and if anybody else would like to jump in, you're
more than welcome to once again, and we will get
to all of our questions as we always do. Amil.
I hope I'm pronouncing your name properly. Thank you again,
(06:27):
great time here, and of course you can get the
rest of your start sick questions answered for you in
a timely manner with the full crew every single Sunday
morning through next week as well. We might even be
nice and wake up early for you on Week eighteen.
We haven't decided he did as a group, but that
is two hours before kickoff on the Sunday Lives Start
Sit Show. We get all that handled for you. So, Emil,
(06:48):
if Pickens plays this Sunday, do we play Brenton Strange
or Pat Fryarmouth full PPR. Brenton Strange of course, sitting
in for Evan Ingram who is out. Jeff is our
Jags fan Matt representing Evan Ingram pre season, which is
a great call preseason, but with quarterback play it's been
(07:09):
up in the air. Now he's on IR. So Brenton
Strange goes nice for a tight end. Last week Pratt
Firemouth gets in the end zone as well against a
tough Philly defense. So if Pickens does play, whos missed
the last two games?
Speaker 4 (07:20):
Guys?
Speaker 1 (07:21):
Are we go sticking with Brenton Strange? We played Pat
Friarmouth and have both Steelers. How are we feeling, Matt?
I'll kick it off to you first.
Speaker 4 (07:29):
I think firm youth has an average opportunity against Baltimore.
But I am I am absolutely playing Brenton Strange, especially
after twelve targets in Week fifteen. He also played well
during the stretch that Ingram was injured earlier in the year.
And really this is the Brian Thomas Junior show, with
Brenton Strange being the second option, maybe even Etn being
(07:54):
the second option. But start ETM at your case. You
don't have an ulcer, you're looking for one. That's the
That's one of the names that you want to start
to go ahead and get your ulcer fired up. For me, though,
easy start. I like Strange. I think Fremuth is touchdown
dependent tight end. Two.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
Last week Brenton Strange twelve targets, eleven reception, seventy three yards,
eight fantasy points against the New York Football Jets. Now
they go into Vegas across the country to play there.
Eight is Jeff, I think this is easy call for you,
but I will ask.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
Oh, yeah, very easy Strange while along by a mile,
I think if Pickens plays Firemth's you know, production is
spiked just due to Pickens not playing. So if he's back,
you know, I think Firemuth has a way lower floor. Strange,
there's an offense that targets the tight end, and Mac
Jones also targets the tight end, so it's just mac
(08:51):
Jones Jones nice and yeah. So with that, you got
to go strange right now.
Speaker 2 (08:59):
They got it.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
Got to see what he what he can do moving forward,
because who knows what's gonna happen with Evan.
Speaker 1 (09:05):
Since the buy in week nine, Pat Fryermuth has scored
in four of his six games. We love the tight
ends scoring touchdowns. However, the receptions are only at three
the last two weeks, and twenty two yards is not
going to get it done. So even if he scores,
the volume and the yardage is not there, Brenton Strange
has the volume in the yardage without the time. If
he does score, he could be through the moon. So
(09:26):
I think we got to ride the hot hand right now.
If Pickens doesn't play, gentlemen, do either one of you
sway to Pat Fryermuth, i'mbs up or down. We're sticking
with Strange. Yeah, yeah, same ziues, Okay, we're gonna go
strange with the three bucks there. I mean, I hope
that helps you out. And thanks again for jumping in.
If anybody else had any questions, you guys let me know.
I think I got a little delay on my stream.
I apologize if I blackout for some reason. Gentlemen, Styles,
(09:48):
why don't you go ahead and take over and I'll
be back when I can be Otherwise, Maddie, I'm gonna
turn it over to you. Bud, you got the next
ten minutes or so. Do you give us your top
dog and then the top guy at each position? The
rasballers can go find the rest of your players at
your article at football dot rasballd dot com. The floor
is yours, my man.
Speaker 4 (10:08):
Yeah, this is going to be quick. We started a
little bit late tonight because we were bantering in the
background and we lost track of time, So I will
not go into depth. It's too late in the season.
You know who the players are, you know what's going
on with them. You're not going to start Craig Reynolds.
Regardless of what happened to David Montgomery. This now becomes
the Jamiir Gibbs Show with Reynolds to spell him, but
(10:31):
he is not going to take on the full Montgomery love.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
So my ad of the.
Speaker 4 (10:37):
Week is Jerome Ford over Kendra Miller. We don't know
what's going to happen with Kamara. Kamara is a workhorse.
If he can play, he will play. And by the way,
a fun fact, he's at nine hundred and fifty rushing
yards Adam Kamara is. He's never rushed for a thousand.
So if he is a dude that's into insignificant personal accolades,
(11:00):
that would be one that he's going to shoot for.
But it is a grom injury, and at my age
you figure out that those are unpleasant, right, You can
pull a Grom just getting out of bed, getting off
the recliner, whatever it may be. So I'm gonna go
with those two running backs. But I prefer Ford over
(11:20):
Henry Miller. As we talk about a lot on these shows.
Take a shot at Ford with your fab put your backup,
bid for Miller. Hopefully you get one of the two quarterbacks.
As much as I loved to say this five years ago,
it pains me to say now. Aaron Rodgers is not
the same guy that he was in Green Bay. But
Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams are doing green Bay things again.
(11:44):
He would be my top quarterback. Ad Aaron Rodgers and
he's got a pretty slick schedule down the stretch. Back
to running back, Henry Miller would be my second choice
behind mister Ford wide receiver. I kind of like the
connection that Jayleen McMillan has formed with Baker Mayfield. But
please do not mistake make Jaylen McMillan for Mike Evans
(12:06):
or Chris Godwin. He's not that guy. He may be
that guy at one point, but this is still the
Mike Evans, Bucky Irving and Rashad White show. Probably Kate Aughten,
who needs to get back on the horse and start
catching and passes, and I believe he does against Dallas.
But McMillan's a decent ad. Elijah Moore is in a
good spot with a terrible quarterback, So I would probably
(12:28):
shy away from everything Cleveland through the air. With Dorian
Thompson Robinson being named the starter, uh and tight end,
we've already discussed it. For me, it's Brent and strange.
If you want to get saucy, then we like Stone
Smart on the show to tease. That's so that's the quick,
down and dirty for me. The articles out there, I
will post it here in the in the chat and
(12:51):
do with that. With that, what you will folks through
for you to send me a question throughout the week
and I will answer it as I get to it.
Speaker 1 (13:00):
Through fifteen weeks, Gentlemen over under seven top twelve QB
finishes in Fantasy for Aaron Rodgers more or less than seven.
Top twelve finishes in fifteen weeks for Aaron.
Speaker 4 (13:12):
Rodgers is seven.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
Yeah, it's under.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
Yeah, I have to go under, but it's probably not.
Speaker 1 (13:21):
It is five, which is still more than I thought
he would have. And he's had two in the last
two weeks QB eleven at Miami, QB four last week
at Jacksonville. Now he gets the Rams, who everybody but
the forty nine ers can throw on. We don't talk
about that. And then he's got Buffalo in the championship,
which of course is tough. But Rogers, of course grew
(13:42):
up in Green Bay, so I don't think the snow
and the cold and all that stuff has got to
bother him. And him and DeVante do look absolutely vintage.
I was texting Matt on Sunday and I was like, Hey,
let's put the emotion aside for a second. Isn't this
fun to watch these two just like two of the
best at the positions ever and you know, one of
the best duos of all time. Wide receiver, quarterback. We'd get,
(14:03):
you know, a couple more breaths of that in our careers.
Is pretty incredible what they're doing the last couple of weeks.
And Davante was unbelievable all game last week. So shout
out to them, all right.
Speaker 4 (14:12):
That most of that happened like the first quarter he
was just a guy and it started to really ramp
up moving forward. You want another fun number. This one's
going to pain a lot of people, especially those that bet.
And we do not promote that here in the show.
It's not something that we do in every state that
we reside in. David Montgomery, I believe it was on
(14:33):
the DraftKings, but don't work. His over under at the
beginning of the season was seven hundred and seventy five
point five yards rushing. He left the game and now
is out for the remainder of the year with seven
hundred and seventy five yards rushing. Yeah, miss, he missed
the over by falling forward one time.
Speaker 1 (14:56):
Super sad with his situation anyway, And I'm with you
man and Craig Reynolds is definitely worth an ad, but
in championship week, you gotta have better options with these
guys out. But look, you can still play defense too.
I mean, I'm in a week or in a league
with some of these guys, right, I mean, like Nick Chubb,
Alvin Kamara, some of these top dogs you're probably playing
aren't playing potentially. You know, Kamara is obviously questionable still,
(15:18):
but I don't know if I trust him anyway against
Green Bay and what that offense looks like if Derek
Carter doesn't come back. So be careful there. Matt's article
is live right now at football dot rasball dot com.
Go check that out for your viewing pleasure and check
out the rest of his names in more in depth detail,
and of course, check us out Sunday morning for the
rest of your starts at Questions Jeff. After we win
this week, we're gonna be all playing for the championship.
(15:41):
If I'm sitting pretty I maybe got two or three
dead roster spots. I don't need a fifth receiver anymore.
I don't need a second DST anymore. I'm dropping my
bye week kickers and all that kind of shit. I
just I'm tightening up my roster with two weeks to
go in fantasy football, who should I be looking for
potentially to pick up or who is one of those
studs that's like been on the fringe. But you're about
heading into next week so we can prepare for next
(16:04):
week in the championship. So again, folks, this is not
a suggestion for week sixteen. This is a week for seventeen.
But we're gonna look ahead just so we can make
sure to be prepared.
Speaker 4 (16:12):
Go ahead.
Speaker 3 (16:13):
So the first player I looked that we're looking at
quarterbacks just because you never know, Like I hate to
say it, but you just never know. So if when
you win in week seventeen, quarterback gets hurt or playing
defense the other teams, I don't know. One guy really
stood out to me and may surprise people, but Anthony
Richardson going to be at the Giants. The Giants have
(16:37):
been allowing the eighth most points in the seventh month
rushing yards to quarterbacks over the last month, and being
an outdoors game, he might run for eighty yards and
score a couple of touchdowns on the ground. Lamar just
threw five against them, so just keep an eye on him.
I'm not saying start him or anything like that, though,
but just to dame to look at, I think he's
fifty percent rostered. And the next is kind looking at
(17:00):
some running backs. I was all in the utsa bandwagon
for our boy sincere, but looks like he's done. He
tweeted out or instagram see you next year kind of
a deal. So I think Madison comes back into the
picture for everybody for this week and even in Week seventeen,
is gonna have the volume za Mere White rip, I
(17:22):
do just let us all down here at Rasball. Unfortunately
he's on the IR as well, So I think Madison
gets all the touches. And against that New Orleans in
an indoor stadium kind of like him as a flex play.
Actually not the sexiest of the names, but with the volume,
you can't really go against that. Also, I do actually
like TAIJ. Spears at Jacksonville.
Speaker 2 (17:45):
They made a quarterback change.
Speaker 3 (17:46):
I wonder if they're gonna bench Pollot in week seventeen.
If they do, Spears could be the god to surprise
some people as well. Keep an eye on him. And
then lastly, y'all kind of already mentioned him in Craig
Reynolds yes, it'll be the jury get show. But I
don't think the Lions are gonna run Gibbs to the
ground this close to the playoffs, so I could see
(18:07):
Reynolds maybe getting ten to twelve touches maybe, And against
San Francisco in Week seventeen, they've allowed the fourth most
rushing guards so and the eighth most running back. So
probably not starting him. But as an insurance policy, I'm
dropping like five bucks on my fab on rentals just
in case. You never know what could happen there. Looking
(18:29):
at receivers at this point, there's really nobody you're looking
at adding. It's just kind of looking at matchups who
might be available on your wire. But first two guys
are Matt Packers. Romeo Dobbs and Christian Watson are both
fifty percent rostered. They've got a great matchup against the
Minnesota so that ties in Tasso Jordan Addison. I love
(18:52):
the matchup. It's in Minnesota, It's gonna probably be high scoring.
Both teams have a lot to play for going down
the stretch, so I like those three guys. Also, Adam
Thielen is probably hanging on your waivers, still getting all
the targets from Bryce and they had a good matchup
against Tampa Bay. And then one guy that was actually
available I've seen in a couple of leagues has been
(19:13):
dropped a lot, Tank Dell. I don't really love it though,
but he's a guy that maybe if he's out there
on the waivers. They're going up against the Ravens in
Week seventeen at home, so potential dart thrill there for you.
But at this point in the season, most of these
guys are just insurance policies and you've just got to
start your studs moving forward in week seventeen. But if
(19:36):
you're looking for guys, I look at these guys here.
Speaker 1 (19:40):
I like that looking ahead. So again, after we win
this week, we're looking at Championship week. Jeff just gave
you a couple guys to look at. Guys like TYJ
Spears those he's available in some of my leagues. I
might go pick him up and put a bench dash
if I could, I bym moving somebody to IR and
open up a spot. Go ahead and do that. We're not,
you know, breaking the bank necessarily with that. But guys,
I'm gonna leave you with two more things. I got
had one question and then we're going to go around
(20:01):
the horn with some advice. Here this time of year,
it's going to be about fab But first I got
some breaking news Michael Pennix. Not that we root for Huskies,
but we do let the people know what's happening. Michael
Pennix will be the starter for the Falcons, and it's
only I think seven weeks too late, but he'll be
the starter for the Falcons moving forward. Drake London, Right,
(20:25):
my boy, Darnold Mooney threw out a goose, which is unbelievable,
but it is what it is. Drake London, who's a
phenomenal player. We know that we also don't root for Trojans,
but again I'm here to tell the people what's going on.
Drake London was wide receiver two in Week five. Go
Ducks after that fifteen eight, sixty two, thirty nine, eleven,
forty seven, nineteen, thirty four and twenty eight. The kid's
(20:47):
way too good to have those kind of numbers. But
Kirk Cousins has just crushed his season this week and
next week? Are we confident in Drake London and all
Kyle Pitts. We've gotten rid of Bijon's Bijon and a
running it is what it is. Drake London is one
of those like auto start names and you know the
talents there and the workload has been there sixteen and
ten targets the last two games. Do you guys trust
(21:09):
Drake London in the next two weeks against the Giants
at Washington an indoor team going outside there in the championship?
Just really quick? Do you trust Drake London? Moving forward?
With Michael Pennox, matill go you first.
Speaker 4 (21:23):
I will tell you that Derek has managed our roster today.
It had Brian Robinson or Brian Thomas Junior as a
starting receiver. I just looked at it and with the
Michael Pennix news, he has inserted London for Brian Thomas Junior.
I don't love that. Derek and I will have a talk.
I don't want to disparage Derek on the show, right,
(21:45):
good guy, good friend, friend of the show, part of
the show family. I would even now, I don't. I
am probably starting Brian Thomas Junior over Drake London until
I see Raheem Morris take the training wheels off and
let Penix go to work, because if Penix goes to work.
And I mean look at Kirk Hauz of zero mobility,
(22:07):
sacked three times and couldn't get out of the pocket, right,
that was his problem. Pennix can move. He's young, number one,
but he can also move. He's a scrambler, but he
also can throw the ball down the field if he's
looked good in practice, assuming he has Drake London, Darnell Mooney,
(22:29):
Jean Robinson out of the backfield, maybe some Kyle Pitts
if they let him throw the football more than seventeen times.
I can see London inserted back into the starting lineup
in your championship game. But I don't think I have
the confidence to start him in Week sixteen because they
may only throw it seventeen times again, and to me,
(22:51):
three targets is not worth the start. Even though he
maximized the three for fifty three in a touchdown.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
He's his beast. Touchdown was sick. The touchdown was nice.
It's just yeah, Michael Pennix has attempted five passes on
the year, three completions. Obviously there aren't real numbers. It's
all mop up duty and stuff like that. But nonetheless,
he just hasn't really played this is his first start
in the NFL, so we'll see how he does. It's
a plus matchup at home versus the Giants this week
(23:20):
and then at Washington in the championship.
Speaker 2 (23:22):
Jeff thoughts, I'm gonna roll the dice. I'm Storr.
Speaker 3 (23:27):
I have him in my league, so I'm going to
start him and just hope it goes well. You know,
the Giants to give up five touchdowns to Lamar, so
it gives me hope. But unless you have better options,
that's the key is what are your options in mine?
I don't have many, so I got I gotta keep
(23:47):
rolling with Drake London and my roster. So with that
being said, I'm gonna just take my chances.
Speaker 1 (23:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
And by the way, because they.
Speaker 4 (23:57):
Won last night and they're still in the playoff house.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
Yeah, that division has been mad my whole life. It's insane.
Speaker 4 (24:04):
They're making this move, either the OC or Raheem or
collectively the two plus the quarterback coach whoever that is,
I don't know off and they're seeing something in practice
that says he can get us in the playoffs. Now,
like you said, five six, seven weeks late, maybe, but
they have clearly seen something or cousins got hurt on
(24:27):
one of those sacks or a scramble that we don't
know about, uh and that may be kept under wraps.
I don't know. I just this makes me real nervous.
I think if if the shoe was on the other
foot and Jeff had Brian Thomas Junior, he would be
starting him over Great Club. Yeah, but again he doesn't.
His roster isn't as deep. So if I'm in Jeff's position,
(24:49):
I do the same thing. You run him out there,
and you just whatever fantasy god you pray to, you
pray release Sunday and often Sunday.
Speaker 3 (24:58):
Yeah, I'll just add I would much other louth having
him in my lineup than not starting him and losing
because I didn't start him and he just happens to
have one of those games.
Speaker 4 (25:08):
You mean right before kickoff when I benched Brian Thomas
Junior last week, solid James Connor, So I made a
mistake by two points thirty five versus thirty three point.
Speaker 1 (25:21):
Yeah, I was gonna say Connor is a beast, but yeah,
Thomas Thomas scores right away to uh, Matt, you can
update your update your rolodex here, Thattius Lewis is a
quarterback coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He played football
at Duke, one of those Blue Devil football players.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
There.
Speaker 1 (25:37):
You go, update your.
Speaker 4 (25:39):
Chris Thaddius with two d's.
Speaker 1 (25:42):
Two d's correct. Yep, two d's yeah. Lewis like yeah,
regular spelling, like Royce.
Speaker 4 (25:48):
Lewis, not like Lewis lips.
Speaker 1 (25:51):
No, no, no, correct, All right, Lewis lips. This is
a kids show, all right, gentlemen, last question here before
we guess the hat and get out of here again.
If you have any questions, feel free to drop them
in the comment section. We'll get to them here in
the second. As we jump off air strategy, roster construction,
playing defense, everybody's involved now right. We're assuming people play
(26:13):
with integrity, So teams that are not in the playoffs
are not jumping the waiver wire. Blah blah blah. You
have fifty percent of your fab left, thirty percent of
your fab left, whatever that number might be. There's Jerome Ford,
you know, Romeo Dobbs. There's a player you just need
to have. You're playing whatever, you gotta go get your
guy on the waiver. Are you just like all out
(26:36):
spending your money because if you don't win your gun anyway,
or are you still like, how are you playing the cards?
How are you playing fab? Are you hanging on to
a number one waiver wire hoping you make it to
the championship? What is your fab and waiver strategy this
time of year when literally best case scenario got two
weeks left, and if you don't make it happen this week,
you're done anyway, Jeff, I'll go to you first.
Speaker 2 (26:58):
Yeah, I'm spending my FAB.
Speaker 3 (27:01):
And for a guy like Ford and I need a
running back or a flex spot, I'm pretty much putting
all of my FAB into him. He's going to have
the volume and he's going to get the touches. So
I don't see how you would want to do that.
And if you're playing defense and the team you're going
against needs a guy like that and you have more
FAB than them, play defense outspend them and just get
(27:25):
him as as an insurance policy as well, Maddy.
Speaker 4 (27:30):
Jerome Ford will not beat me in week sixteen. Yeah,
the guy that I'm playing old friend college buddy, he
has zero FAB left. Derek and I have two bids
in one is more important to us, but our opponent
has zero dollars. Again, the next player has twenty six,
(27:51):
so we've been twenty seven on one player. We put
the rest except for one dollar on Ford. The two
teams in the other bracket, one has twenty six dollars,
the other has all hundred, but he is rolling and
may not need to make a move. So the only
way Jerome Forod meets me is in week seventeen. That's
(28:12):
the way I look at it.
Speaker 1 (28:13):
Which that's not happening either, because you're winning the championship.
So yeah, and I hope people got Matt Matt's math there,
which you can find in your local bookstore, Matt's Math.
He's got a podcast out as well. But the next
highest competitor there has twenty six dollars a fab. Matt's
not betting eighty nine dollars a fab because he's going
(28:34):
to spend all that if he wins it. You're just
betting one more dollar than you need to so that
you can retain as much as you possibly need for
next week as well. So good strategy there. Appreciate that.
All right, let's get the hats. We got two tonight.
Let's see here. We all went baseball first of all,
which I love. It's go giants on this side of
(28:56):
the farm for sure. The Niners are on vacation. All right, Mattie,
let's see. He just give me the colors of the logo.
I mean, that's my only chance. I just can't see
what that.
Speaker 4 (29:06):
So this this is. It might have some Navy in
it in the logo. This is almost a bronze color.
Speaker 1 (29:14):
Whoa, whoa, whoa whoa. That makes me think Pirate or
Padres Bronze. Is this a Is this an alternate?
Speaker 4 (29:24):
I will say that it is. Probably it was an
alternate at one point. It's probably an easy twelve to thirteen.
Speaker 1 (29:32):
Years old bronze.
Speaker 4 (29:35):
I like that it comes out for special occasions.
Speaker 1 (29:40):
Yeah, bronze has got me thinking Padres or Jeff feel
free to feel free to play along here.
Speaker 2 (29:46):
Yeah, bronze.
Speaker 4 (29:48):
You have not seen it. You have not seen it
on this show before. This is a This is a first.
Speaker 1 (29:53):
A current team reveal. It's a current team. This isn't
like a Hall of Fame hat or something.
Speaker 4 (29:58):
Correct, This is not Mitchell, I guess not a sponsor.
Speaker 1 (30:03):
I got a bunch of those. Uh, the Vince Scully
had here. We don't celebrate the Dodgers but we appreciate greats.
I'm gonna I'm gonna settle with Padres. That's that's my
that's my guess.
Speaker 2 (30:14):
Jeff, Yes, I got something from bronze.
Speaker 1 (30:21):
Pads. Oh nice, let's go. Yeah, they had they had
I'm thinking Kevin Brown.
Speaker 4 (30:30):
This is this is when they did the They did
a blue.
Speaker 1 (30:34):
Yeah, the blue. Yeah, but that was Kevin Brown, wasn't it. Like, uh,
I think that was orange. It was like Tony Gwynn.
Speaker 4 (30:42):
This is post Tony Gwin too. It was like they
wrote it. They wrote Padres on the white uni they
had Padres blue and had almost like the ass had
a line under it or something.
Speaker 2 (30:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (30:52):
Yeah, yeah, Like so it's a it's a Jake Pevy,
Jake Piviera.
Speaker 3 (30:57):
Maybe that's so we see on that team. Yeah, yeah,
that is it lasts of.
Speaker 4 (31:07):
For sure. But I uh there's a blue version of
this too, which isn't the classic navy blue. It's kind
of a different off blue.
Speaker 1 (31:16):
Nice. I like that. So that's bronze. Is that gold
st then?
Speaker 4 (31:21):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (31:22):
It's ish.
Speaker 4 (31:23):
Yeah, it's more bronze, but again it looks gold because
of it. It's that shiny stitching.
Speaker 2 (31:30):
Love it, love it.
Speaker 1 (31:32):
Nice it's clean. Go pods and jeff uh, we gotta
go with chokling. I see that yellow, I immediately gotta
go with the with the a's.
Speaker 4 (31:44):
That's astros, no doubt. That is at so funny.
Speaker 2 (31:49):
It's like holy ship.
Speaker 1 (31:50):
That's awesome. Oh that's too cold, U nice man. I
wish I had the I wish I had the orange
and the blue SD oh man, that's awesome. Nice so
Padres representing and the Dodgers. Jesus, we got some NL
west ye.
Speaker 4 (32:07):
