Speaker 1 (00:02):
What's up, guys. I'm Ernie.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
I'm here with the Face Off Sports Network, and today
we are going to dive into dynasty rookie draft sleepers.
These are guys that are going to be going in
the backhen back half of second rounds or later. Pretty
much we're gonna be chasing upside here. So let's let's
dive right in. So first player we got is Kyle Williams.
(00:24):
Kyle Williams, he was one of the best separators in
all of college football last year. The Patriots spent Day
two capitol on him. They drafted him at the top
of the third round. When you watch his film, he
had some good reps for Travis Hunter, and he's gonna
play the slot, you know. I think he'll come in
day one to be their their starting slot receiver. And
(00:46):
you go back to Drake May's days in at Chapel Hill, right,
he fed his slot receiver. That's why Josh Dowen had
some good years there. So I think Kyle Williams there
could be a role from him day one moving forward. Now,
they did just add Stefon Diggs. Stefan Diggs, you know
(01:07):
that contract, if you really read through it, it's more
of a it's a glorified one year contract. Again, he's
thirty one. He just tore his ACL. I've been watching
some of his workout videos recently. He looks great, right,
But the truth of the matter is he's an old
injured receiver.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
So I do think he could still have a solid
year this year.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
But there's gonna be somebody else that needs to step up,
and I believe that's Kyle Williams.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
So I think both of those.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
Receivers will be the receivers you see on the field
of two wide receiver sets.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
And I really do think there's there's.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
A chance for Kyle Williams to be the wide receiver
one as early as this year. You know, things go
the right way. Our next player is Bashul Touton. So
I love this player for a few reasons. He has
really good size. He's two hundred and ten pounds, he
runs a four to three. He was the second hardest
RB to tackle in the class. Now, the reason why
(02:02):
I'm higher on two in and I know a lot
of people are, there's a lot of steam, right, but
they do.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Have two good backs there.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
So they have Travis Etn and they have Tank Bigsby
The problem is the Jaguars were thinking about drafting RJ.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
Harvey at the top of the third round.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
So that's kind of a clue as to what Gladstone
and Cohen think of the running backs that they have there.
And again, this is a new regime, so they're gonna
come in and they're gonna want to play their own guys.
They don't really have obligations of these players that have
already been there. So I think the fact that they
were willing to spend that high of draft capital on
a running back tells you that they're ready to move on. Again,
(02:41):
this is all speculation, but they trusted their board and
they took another RB they love at the top of
the fourth round, and that was Twoton and that was
somebody that Liam Cohen, you know, hand picked, and I
think for that reason alone, he's going to be a
factor early on. Again, it might be a committee of
all three, maybe two of him, but Twton will be factored.
(03:02):
I think if he excels, and he you know, he's
the player that we think he can be, that room's
only going to grow.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
The only flaw that he has is he's not a
good pass.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
Protector, but he's a willing pass protector, like he's gonna
go in there and he's gonna chip.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
But again, neither was Bucky Irvin coming out of college.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
So and Liam Cohen still made that work. So I
think Tuton is the RB to own in Jacksonville.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
I think this is the.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
New Regimes guy and they're going to use him a
lot moving forward. Our third player is Terrence Ferguson, So
this is one of my favorite tight ends in the class.
I actually like him more than Colston Loveland, and I
know that's crazy to say, but there's a few reasons why.
So last year the Rams they were gonna take Brock
(03:47):
Bauers if he was there on the board. Obviously he
went a little bit earlier. This year, they were gonna
take Ferguson in the first round, but then Atlanta offered
them a crazy deal so they couldn't say no, and
they traded back and they actually still winded up getting him,
so that was a major win for them. This is
one of the guys they had the most convictions on.
(04:10):
McVeigh has compared him to Kelsey. He was one of
the best, if not the best yack tight end in
all of college football this past year. And this was
one of the better tight end classes I have ever seen.
He has a seventy seven PFF receiving grade. He was
he had a nine point three to two rascor, which
was second and most second.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
Amongst Power five tight ends.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
He had a four point six four point six three
forty yard dash, so he's very fast for a tight end.
McVeigh and Sneed they said they have a clear vision
for him. He's a red zone weapon. He could play
the big slot. Twenty five percent of his catches went
for twenty plus yards, seventy two percent of his catches
resulting in first downs or touchdowns.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
This kid's a beast. Now again, they have Tyler Higbee,
who I think is a great player.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
It's similar to Stefan Diggs right where it's like, I
do think these guys will still be playing this year.
Speaker 1 (05:01):
They're gonna have an impact.
Speaker 2 (05:03):
But Tyler Hickbee is thirty two, he's coming off of
an injury, right But you see those last three games
that he's shrunk together last year, including the postseason, he
was factored in.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
The Rams used their titands a lot on the offense.
And this is what makes.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
Me like Terrence Ferguson more because it's not a matter
of it's a matter of when, whether that's Tigbee gets
hurt or you know, they play both this year and
Ferguson eventually outplays him. But the sky's the limit for
this kid draft. With full conviction, my fourth player is
Pat Bryant. Pat Bryant, I think is one of the
biggest ADP mistakes in all of sleeper this year for
(05:39):
rookie drafts. So the Broncos drafted him in the top
of the third round. He had an eighty five PFF
grade in the Big Ten. He was a dominant X receiver.
Their school, the Illinois, they didn't have the best college offense, right,
so what he did is kind of eye opening if
(06:00):
you look at it that way. They spent Day two
capital on him. Peyton hand picked this guy at.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
The top of the third round.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
Now again, they got Michael Thomas on Day two back
in twenty sixteen. And I'm going to get into that
in a second, but Courtland Sutton is a stud. But
he's thirty years old and I don't think Peyton is
going to pay him next year. So I think there's
a world where Pat Bryant could step up in year
(06:28):
one be the team's wide receiver too, and he's connected
to a blossoming bo Nick.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
So there's a lot of upside here. Peyton said.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
The reason why they took him there was a lot
of similarities to Michael Thomas. You know, I think he's
a receiver with you know, a really good set of hands,
big catch radius, could run a lot of good slant routes,
and this could potentially be the team's future X like
you know things. You know if he is, you know,
more of a Michael Thomas than a trey Quon Smith
and Sean Payton, you know, hit on another player. You
(06:59):
know this, this guy's not only going to factor in
year one, but he could be the future X receiver
you know, moving forward. And you can get this guy
in third, fourth round of rookie draft, sometimes even the
fifth round. So that's a little bit crazy. Bo Nicks
and the Broncos are going to be very good. Bo
Nicks is going to be a very good quarterback. They're
going to take a step forward this year. I want
me some Pat Bryant. Marvin Mimms doesn't scare me. He's
(07:20):
a good player. I'm a Marvin MIMMS fan. I think
he's just more of a slot gadget guy. So don't
let him, you know, scare you from investing into Pat Bryant.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
Pat Bryant's gonna play this year.
Speaker 2 (07:33):
I do think he will be the wide receiver two
with upside to be the wide receiver one, depends on
how everything goes.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
The last player we.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
Got, and one of my favorites is Jarquez Hunter. So
I am a big sec football guy. I watched a
lot of Auburn. This kid is different. He you just
watch the way he plays. He's an athletic freak, and
then you know there's some things to back that up.
He squats six hundred pounds. He could dunk a basketball
a five foot nine, So the citicism is there.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
He slipped in this draft. A lot of running backs
did not.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
Because of you know, talent, but it was more because
of just the the deep class, you know. So there
was a lot of running backs that went, you know,
round four, that would have went Day two on normal years.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
This was mcveigh's top player of Day three.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
Now they also traded up to get him, so do
with that what you will, but they really really like
this guy. Now again, I know Kien Williams is a
good football player. I like him, but sometimes you got
to think of this from like a GM standpoint. There
might be, you know, some concern with all of the
wear and tear that Kyraen Williams has sucked up over
(08:43):
the last two years. Right, he is a free agent
next year. Teams usually opt to not pay running backs
if they don't have to, So this could be the
Kyron Williams escape plan, or it could just be really
good insurance.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
Either way.
Speaker 2 (08:59):
You know, I do think Jarquiz Hunter is going to
be a factor early on. So I'm a Blake Korm
stand This is why I have even more conviction in Hunter,
because Hunter is a better football player, and I think
we already saw the Blake Korm experience of what it
looks like. I think he's a good depth guy. I mean,
there's a reason why his own college coach Harborough passed
(09:19):
on him in the draft last year. Jark Quiz is
you know, he he's got the juice man. He could
come in and he could help Kyen carry that load.
I think you will see him early on. You know,
he's gonna be part of this committee with Kien Williams,
and I think his role will grow as the year
goes on. You know, this is one of the other
(09:40):
guys that they had a lot of conviction in again
for a fourth round running back.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
There's so much to like here, you know, Les Need said.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
You know, he ignites the crowd, He breaks the tackle
with joys and takes it to the It takes it
the distance.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
So they're extremely high on him.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
I'm gonna bet that he's factored in early on with
room to grow, and you know who knows, he could
be this year's Bucky Irving, right, and that's what we're
hoping for.
Speaker 1 (10:06):
But thank you for joining me. Guys.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
These are my top five must draft rookie Dynasty sleepers
for the twenty twenty five draft.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
Hope you enjoyed good luck in your leagues.
