a way we've always done it and the way we
always will. Father. We just come to you in the
name of your shore, of the name above all names
would come as your children boldly approaching the throne of
grace and mercy, saying Abbah, Papa, Daddy, thank you for
(02:19):
loving us when we were unlovable. Thank you for bringing
us home. We're no longer lost, we're no longer alone.
You've cleared the way you had your shoe and pay
all of our debts, and now we all won with
(02:40):
you again. Thank you so much for that. Thank you Lord,
for paying that price, for shedding every drop of blood,
for fulfilling the prophecies and everything that had to be fulfilled.
You left nothing undone except to come back again, and
(03:01):
we longed for that day. We thank you for the
bloody cross, the empty tomb, the upper room, the infieling
of the Holy Spirit, which you sent back to walk
with us, to teach us, to guide us, encourage us,
and empower us. Holy Spirit, that's what we ask for
it all. We ask you to enlighten us, to inspire us.
(03:26):
Let us receive this word. We clear our minds, taking
every thought captive to the obedience of Messiah. We claim
the minds of Messiah, and we just cast down and
re vain imagination that would exalt itself above the knowledge
of ely On God Most High, Abba Father. We pray
(03:52):
a head you protection over us, our homes, lands, family's pets, possessions,
over this technology. We ask Holy Spirit that you do
whatever it is you want to do. This is your time.
We give up control. Say what you want to say.
In part what you want to impart, I pray that
(04:13):
we would receive it. I pray that we would use it,
and I pray that you would use us to further
the Kingdom, to shake this world one last time before
the return of the King. And I pray all those things,
and you shoe his name Amen.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
These lessons are proprietary information, except where ned of the
information comes from outside sources. Combination of that information the
man to present. It is exclusive, cannot be repeated or
used without permission. The date of this broadcast serves as
the registered date of the following information. Now, there are
distinctive varieties and distributions of endowments, gifts, extraordinary powers distinguishing
(05:18):
certain believers due to the power of divine grace operating
in their souls by the Holy Spirit, and they vary.
But the Holy Spirit remains the same. And there are
distinctive varieties of service and ministration, but it is the
same Lord who is served. And there are distinctive varieties
of operation of working to accomplish things, But it is
(05:41):
the same God who inspires and energizes them all in all,
but to each one is given the manifestation of the
Holy Spirit, the evidence the spiritual illumination of the Spirit
for good and profit. To one is given in and
through the Spirit, the power to speak a message of
(06:02):
wisdom to another, the power to express a word of
knowledge and understanding according to the same Holy Spirit to another. One,
to working faith by the same Holy Spirit to another.
The extraordinary powers of healing by the One Spirit to another,
the working of miracles to another, Prophetic insight, the gift
(06:24):
of interpreting the divine will and purpose to another. The
ability to discern and distinguish between the utterances of true
spirits and false ones to another, various kinds of unknown
tongues to another, another, the ability to interpret such tongues.
(06:45):
All these gifts, all these achievements, all these abilities, are
inspired and brought to pass by one and the same
Holy Spirit, who apportions to each person individually exactly as
he chooses. But in all that earnestly desires zealously cultivate
(07:07):
the greatest and best gifts and graces, the highest gifts
and the choices graces. And yet I will show you
a more excellent way, one that is by far better
and the highest of them all loved. So I took
first Corinthians twelve four through ten, and then verse thirty
one in the Amplified to start out, picking up where
(07:30):
we were last week. As a reminder, we're talking about
the Church and Corinth. Corinth, the Roman province was filled
with the glory and the splendor of Greece. It was wealthy,
it was prosperous, and it was extremely leude and wicked.
(07:51):
Paul spent eighteen months there, and we see that mentioned
in Acts eighteen of all Things, Verse eleven. And then
he left to establish the church in Ephesus, where he
spent three years. But word give gets back to him
that things are seriously out of order. So he writes
a letter of correction from Emphis Ephesis to the church
(08:12):
in corinth a course correction, if you will, And in
the first part of it he deals with life issues, marriage,
personal appearance, the taking of communion. But don't misunderstand, Paul
was not a life coach, as some pastors and preachers
and teachers suddenly are.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
No, no, no. He was dealing with the external issues
which pointed toward an internal spiritual problem. And in the
midst of all that, the gifts of the spirit are
being misused, causing confusion and division. That's what's going on.
(08:56):
And it's amazing to me how the current fend of
people that serve in the kingdom have taken First and
Second Corinthians and based it on who they are, what
they're called to do. Or they don't want to talk
about sin, they don't want to talk about healing, they
don't want to talk about the gifts. They just want
(09:18):
to coach you and how to live well. Guess what
if you have the spirit in you and you know
the word, those things get taken care of, anointed, filled
and gifted and exegetical commentary on First Corinthians twelve says,
the comparison introduces us to two kinds of gifts, the
(09:43):
good and the better ones. The superlative the best would
introduce us to more than two the best. In those
of different values which are not the best. It also
introduces us to the good and the better ones, again,
(10:05):
more than two, the best and those that are not
the best. Paul answers questions about spiritual gifts in the
midst of all that because it all ties together reminds
them that they are members of one body, and God
(10:26):
has distributed these gifts so that each member may perform
the function it is designed for. It's for the Kingdom,
it's for the Church. It's now for the world. Remember
this book, while it benefits the world, is written to
(10:47):
the Church. The gifts of the spirit are foundational to
the Church's existence. That can exist without it. Without the
active presence of the Holy Spirit, there is no church.
Romans one eleven. For I long to see you, Paul
says that I may impart to you some spiritual gifts,
(11:09):
so that you may be established, he says to Timothy
and one Timothy, chapter four, verse fourteen, do not neglect
the gift that is in you, which was given to
you by prophecy with the laying on of hands of
the eldership. Again and two Timothy one sixth. Therefore, I
remind you tostir up the gift of God which is
(11:33):
in you through the laying on of my hands. Peter
even brings it up in first Peter four to ten.
As each one has received a gift, minister to one
another as good stewards of the manfold grace of God.
So Paul uses the term gift Charus Chars seventeen times,
(11:55):
and Peter once it's the gift of grace through salvation.
Salvation brings the presence of the Holy Spirit inside the believer,
that inside out manifestation of the presence of God. What
(12:16):
this becomes is called charisma charismata, the endowments upon believers
by the operation of the Spirit, the Holy Spirit and
the churches coming from the Lord Romans twelve, starting verse four.
For as we have many members in one body, all
the members do not have the same function. So we
(12:39):
being many, are one body in Messiah and individually members
of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the
grace that is given to us, Let us use them.
If prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith
or ministry. Let us use it in ministry. He who
(13:02):
teaches in teaching, he who exhorts in exhortation, He who
gives with liberality, he who leads with diligence, He who
shows mercy with cheerfulness. So the concept, the teaching, the
thought is that there are diverse gifts, but it's the
(13:23):
same Holy Spirit who gives them for the benefit of all,
to help each other. So everyone in the body, everyone
in the body is anointed for service. What does that mean?
What does anointing mean? The Holy Spirit by Charles Ririy
(13:45):
says anointing means to poor or rub oil on the
object being anointed. Pretty basic. The more common Old Testament
word comes from the noun Messiah, the anointed one, one
of the Creek three Greek words used. Is also related
to the title Christ, the counterpart of Messiah. Homean Bible
(14:08):
dictionary says annoint or anointed is a pretty procedure excuse
me of rubbing or smearing a person or thing, usually
with oil, for the purpose of healing, setting apart, or
even embalming, which probably should happen in most churches because
they're dead. A person can anoint himself, can be anointed,
(14:29):
or anoints another person or thing. While olive oil is
the most common element mentioned for use in anointing, oils
produced by castor bay, almond, myrtle, cyprus, cedar, walnut, and
even fish were also used. Esther And twelve, Chapter two,
(14:51):
verse twelve uses the oil of myrrh as a cosmetic
so it describes the seizure used of smearing that oil
for the purpose In our case of spiritual things. The
(15:13):
Hebrew verb mashak will get Messiah and the Greek verb
creole which is what we get Christos or simply translated
to anoint. From ancient times, the priests and kings were
ceremonially anointed as a sign of an official appointment to
(15:36):
the office and as a symbol of God's power upon them.
The act was imbued with an element of awe. See
they were anointed and appointed. Seems like the two always
go together. Ya, sure, God's anointed one. The Savior, Acts
ten thirty eight. How God anointed and consecrated Jesus of
(16:00):
Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with strength and ability
and power. How he went about doing good and in
particular curing all who were harassed and oppressed by the
power of the devil. For God was with him, so
he was anointed and appointed to do the things he did.
(16:22):
We saw it in the Old Testament, where kings and
prophets were anointed, and the power in the present of
God was resident upon them. But we as believers in Messiah,
and that's why I'm taking the time to go over
this with You have been anointed by God for the
(16:43):
task of ministry First John two twenty seven. But as
for you, the anointing, the sacred appointment, the unction which
you have received from Him capital age abides permanently in you.
Remember all those other people were anointed externally. You are
anointed internally, So then you have no need that anyone
(17:08):
should instruct you. But just as His anointing teaches you
concerning everything and is true and is no falsehood, so
you must abide in, live in, never depart from Him,
being rooted in him, knit to him, just as his
anointing has taught you to do. Now, that doesn't mean
you won't need help as you learn, as you grow.
(17:31):
That's what teachers are for. They help you to grow
past where you are, to the next level, to the
next appointment, whatever that may be. But the Spirit there
to confirm the truth. And when I see people so
easily deceived, I know we have an internal problem with
(17:54):
the presence of the Holy Spirit in their lives. In
the Old Testament, we saw the anointing individuals for leadership roles.
One of the earliest examples is the anointing of Saul
as the first King of Israel. In First Samuel ten one,
Samuel annoints Saul, saying, then Samuel took a flask of
(18:15):
oil and poured it on his head and kissed him. Said,
is it not because the Lord has anointed you commander
over his inheritance. This anointing signified Saul's divine appointment and
the power granted him to lead Israel. What we know
about Saul is the anointing does not mean you're anything special.
(18:39):
He chooses whom he's going to choose. David, the second
King of Israel, anointed by God in First Samuel sixteen thirteen.
So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him
in the presence of his brothers, and the spirit of
the Lord rushed upon David from that day forward, David's
(19:00):
anointing empowered him to defeat Goliath lead Israel establish a
kingdom that foreshadowed the eternal reign of Messiah. Now look
in First Samuel ten's Saul is anointed, but then in
First Samuel sixteen, not too long after, Staul has disqualified himself.
(19:21):
So the Lord anoints David, which he was always going
to do anyway. It's a combination of two wills here.
The people wanted a king, so that He gave them
Saul his permissive will. They didn't wait for his perfect will,
which was David and ultimately the Messiah. So this wasn't
about their abilities. Who's God working through them. God's presence
(19:46):
and power are resident in the anointing. Let's not get
carried away when we see somebody who has been anointed
to do what they do. Oh, they must be special. No,
they've just been chosen to do something by God. It's
been a transference of His presence and power to serve
(20:07):
him in the kingdom. Of God. They have been anointed
and appointed, which is a foreshadowing of Yashua Matthew three's sixteen.
When he had been baptized. Yeshua came up immediately from
the water water, and behold, the heavens were open to him,
(20:28):
and he saw the spirit of God descending on dove
and alighting upon him. His cousin John baptizes him. He
goes down as just normal y Shuwa, but he comes
up as assumed to be Messiah. That's how quickly things
(20:51):
can change. You have Luke chapter four, verse sixteen. You
sure it comes to Nazareth, where he'd been brought up.
And as his custom was, he went into the synagogue
on the Sabbath day and he stood up to read me.
He was handed. He didn't choose that he was handed
the book of Prophet Isaiah. When he opened the book,
(21:13):
which he opened to Isaiah sixty one, he found the
place where it was written. The spirit of the Lord
is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach
the gospel to the poor. He has sent me to
heal the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at
liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the acceptable year
(21:37):
of the Lord. Then he closed the book, actually the scroll,
and gave it back to the attendant, and sat down.
And the eyes of all who are in the synagogue
were fixed on him, and he said to them, today
the scripture is fulfilled in your hearing. See. The Lord's
(21:58):
anointing is very specific, but we know that he can
use anyone he wants to. He used Saul, he used David,
he use the prophets, he used kings. And they all
had various degrees of an anoint thing and measures of
the Spirit, but they did not have the power to
do the works of Messiah which we do. And theirs
(22:24):
was an external anointing of the Holy Spirit for a
specific purpose. It wasn't permanent. It wasn't internal, The permanent
universal among all believers in dwelling. Ministry of the Spirit
is at the heart of the distinctiveness of the Spirit's
work in the Church age. It's at the heart of
(22:47):
who we are and what makes us different. First John,
chapter two, starting verse twenty four. So you must remain
faithful to what you have been taught from the beginning.
If you do, you will remain in fellowship with the
Son and with the Father, and in this fellowship we
(23:10):
enjoy the eternal life. He promised us. I am writing
these things to warn you about those who want to
lead you ashtray. But you have received the Holy Spirit,
and He lives within you. So you do not need
anyone to teach you what is true, for the Spirit
teaches you everything you need to know. And what he
(23:31):
teaches is true. It's not a lie. So, just as
he taught you, remain in fellowship with the Messiah, abide in,
live in, never depart from him. Become rooted and grounded
in him, knit to him, just as his anointing has
taught you to do. John's referring to the false teachings
(23:55):
and the new doctrines of those who sought to seduce
believers away from them the truth. And remember this is
not too long after the death, burial and resurrection and
ascension of the Lord. And already the enemy is seeping in. Already,
the enemy is polluting the waters. Already there's a different
spirit trying to deceive them, to seduce them, to cause
(24:21):
them to go astray, to roam, to wander. We're looking
at it today. The apostasy, the falling away of the faith,
those that are falling away from, backing away from what
they believe or what they've claimed to believe, backing from
wandering away from the Word and the Truth Acts twenty
(24:42):
verse thirty. Also from among yourselves, men will rise up,
speaking perverse things to draw away the disciples after themselves
one Timothy four. One other spirit expressly says that in
latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed
to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons two Timothy three thirteen.
(25:08):
But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse,
deceiving and being deceived. Right now, with everything that's going
on in the world, all the things we're seeing in religion, politics,
just everything I'm seeing every day, it is a cacophony,
(25:31):
a s mortgage burger, this giant supernatural prophetic event happening
all at once simultaneously. That at any moment that prophetic
clock could speed up and the Lord would come back
(25:56):
and take his church out of here. But he warned us,
the Spirit of truth, it's here, it's with us. Satan
always offers a counterfeit. Therefore, there will be deception and
spiritual perversions as well. Mark thirteen six. Many will come
(26:20):
in my name, the Lord says, saying I am he,
and will deceive many. These false prophets will rise up
and deceive many, and they have Matthew twenty four to
four for false messiahs and false prophets will rise and
show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even
(26:41):
the elect. Don't think there won't be signs and wonders.
Don't think there won't be astounding acts. You're going to
just go okay? Was that the Lord? If you have
to answer, ask that question, the Holy Spin's note in
you because when it's not, you know, you know, it
doesn't line up with the word. It doesn't glorify him.
(27:03):
If it brings glory to a person or a denomination,
or an entity or anything other than him, it's not
the Holy Spirit. That's why the Lord left. That's why
he said, nevertheless, I tell you the truth. It's to
(27:23):
your advantage that I go away. John sixteen thirty, verse seven.
Remember they don't want him to leave. He says he's leaving,
but they don't want him to go. Who would want
him to go? I wouldn't stay with us, Lord, don't go.
I just want to be where you are, dwelling in
your presence daily to your advantage. I go away. If
(27:45):
I do not go away, the helper will not come
to you. But if I depart, I will send him
to you. And when he has come, Oh, he will
convict the world of sin and of righteousness, and of judgment.
Of sin because they do not believe in me. Of righteousness,
because I go to my Father and you see me
(28:07):
no more. Of judgment, because the ruler of this world
is judged. I still have many things to say to you,
which cannot bear them now. However, when he the Spirit
of Truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth.
For he will not speak on his own authority. Whatever
(28:27):
he hears, he will speak, and he will tell you
things to come. He will glorify me, says the Lord,
for he will not take what is mind and declare
it to you. All things, all things that the Father
has are mind. If I said, he will take of
mind and declare it to you. Even the Holy Spirit
(28:48):
will draw attention to himself. Yes, I acknowledge him. I
acknowledge the Spirit. I am appreciative of the Spirit. But
I know what his function is, and I know that
he doesn't want your shoe with glory. He doesn't want
the glory that belongs to the Father and the son,
(29:08):
And if you try to give it to him, he
will put conviction upon you. But the enemy is going
to run a counterfeit track. Whatever's going on in the church.
The enemy will mimic and will give an anointing to
deceive a false counterfeit. Anointing is always available. When you
(29:35):
see the explosion of signs and wonders in the church,
you see in immediate response from the enemy two Corinthians
eleven thirteen. For those that do are false apostles deceit.
For workers transforming themselves into apostles of Messiah Ephesians four fourteen.
(29:58):
We should no longer be children tossed to and fro
carried about with every wind of doctrine by the trickery
of men and the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting. That's
what's going on almost all the time. It's very frustrating.
It's very discouraging to watch how easily the body gets fooled.
(30:25):
The Holy Spirit will bring truth based upon the Word
and not the opinions of men. Second John one seven.
Many deceivers have gone out into the world who do
not confess Jesus the Messiah, as coming in the flesh.
(30:46):
This is a deceiver and an Antichrist. This is against Messiah.
Tewod Peter to to one. But there are also false
prophets among the people, even as there will be false
teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies,
even denying the Lord who brought them, and bring on
(31:07):
themselves swift destructions. Something I'm seeing that has made a comeback.
I haven't talked about it in a very long time,
but now I'm suddenly seeing it as we have this
explosion of celebrity supposedly finding God, finding Christ. Oh, they
can talk about Christ, they have a hard time talking
(31:29):
about Jesus as a personal manifestation and experience. They'll even
talk about the Christ consciousness that they've embraced. If you
hear the term Christ consciousness, you know it's a lie
coming from the Kingdom of darkness and has nothing to
(31:52):
do with the Lord. This goes as far back as
Edgar Casey, a false teacher, false prophet, and a psychic
who taught about Jesus as a concept to follow but
not as the only begotten son of God or the
only way to the Father, but as a way to
follow to get to God. Yeah, you sure said, I
(32:16):
am the Way of the Truth and the life. No
man comes to the Father but through me John fourteen six.
And it was not a call to religious conversion, but
an opportunity for us to realize who he is. But
that's not what they want you to believe. They want
(32:36):
you to believe. Well, he's just an example to follow.
If we follow his way and we listen to his
truth and we see his life, then we all wind
up in the same place, regardless of our religious backgrounds.
They believe that in Jesus' life we find a pattern
(32:57):
of how to live. That's that danger of this life
coaching aspect that has seeped into the church. It's not
a secret, it's in the Bible, and it enables us
to overcome our personal weaknesses or as shortcomings or our problems.
(33:17):
Come on, folks, if you're not born again, you're not
filled with the Holy Spirit. You're not going to overcome
your personal weaknesses or your shortcomings or your problems. Edgar
Casey used to do these readings, and a question was
asked what is the main purpose of this incarnation the
Christ's consciousness, And the answer case it gave, was to
(33:40):
glorify the Christ's consciousness in the earth and the lives
of those whom you have come in contact with, or
to live the same thyself. That was his model. That's
what he's taught as followers. And then years later, probably
forty some odd years later, more maybe fifty, a lady
(34:04):
named Marianne Williamson comes around. You've heard her name. She's
run for president. She and Oprah are a big buddy.
She's always on Oprah. She's on all these shows. Makes
me puke. Wrote a book called a Return to the
Christ Consciousness of Course, the Miracles and More. Here's what
she states. Christ's consciousness is believed to be the state
(34:27):
of consciousness of being as Christ was. Wow, mumbo jumbo,
twisting words. Just let's ride the Merry go Round, not
go anywhere unified with God. So if I get on
this Merry go Round, I find God. Huh, Marianne, Christ
is not someone outside of us, but something that we
(34:48):
step into the realization through an awakening of our true
nature as an expression of God. But that's the same
lie in the same tongue from the serpent in the garden.
They're talking about a new age, and what she says
is the New Age. What the new Age does is
redefined Christ to mean a state of consciousness and an
(35:11):
inward nature. You can't find that anywhere in scripture. Accepting
the Christ, she says, is merely a shift in self perception.
Like I said, she got famous through Roprah and Oprah
gave away all her books of course and miracles, and
she's been on a lot of talk shows and she
(35:32):
keeps rearing her head every now and then, friends to
a lot of celebrities, very very close friends with oh
Roma Downey touched by an angel, which folks is new Age.
It's now Biblical and anything Roma Downey does is new Age.
And she's never rejected or recanted of her beliefs in
(35:56):
the New Age. What is the new Age? I mean,
we could talk about, of course of miracles in the
New Age or Bible, but is it that current or
has it been around for a while. It's always been around,
It's always been there. Satan never disappears. It's like a
(36:18):
snake in the ground. He will rear its head when
either a he's hungry or he's been threatened. The New
Age movement as such began in the late eighteen hundreds
with Helena Blovatski's Theosophy teachings, which blended religion, philosophy, and science.
(36:39):
Later on, Alice Bailey, a key figure in this movement,
carried it on after Blovatski died, and she founded something
called Lucius Lucis Trust in nineteen twenty two. Actually it
came from a publishing cup and she created with her
(37:01):
company called Lucifer Publishing, but that was a little too obvious,
so they change it to Luci's Publishing Company. So basically
what she did she created something called the Arcane School,
and arcane is a term used in the occult and
witchcraft and demonology and people who practice such. It's been
(37:22):
around a very long time, and this school offers meditation
instruction through correspondence based on her ideas. But then she
created something else called World Goodwill. Don't you like the
names like the World Health Organization where we're going to
take away all the health, We're going to organize taking
away all the health of the world, kind of the
(37:45):
same thing. World Goodwill promotes better human relations through goodwill,
including support for the United Nations. Of course they would.
They're based in the United Nations. These things called triangles
groups of three people who meditate daily on right human relations.
(38:10):
Isn't this crazy? Guess why it's still out there. It's
still growing. It exists to this day, and it's still
connected to the UN. If you go to their website,
losstrust dot org, i'm'll explaining why I'm telling you all this.
(38:31):
This is what the website says. The Trust and World
Goodwill are part of a community of many hundreds of NGOs.
If you heard that time before non government organizations, you're
hearing a lot would doak. All these billions that have
been put into these NGOs, and I'd be curious if
any of them were tied to Lousi's Trust in World
(38:53):
Goodwill anyway, it's a community of many hundreds of NGOs
that play an active role in the Unitedstions, particularly in
spreading information about the UN and fostering support for UN programs.
Since their inception, loses Trust and World Goodwill have given
their support through meditation, educational materials, and seminars by highlighting
(39:17):
the importance of the UN's goals and activities as they
represent the voice of the peoples and nations of the world.
So they're housed right there in United Nations Plaza Sweet
forty two. They're right in the middle of it all.
But they also have an office in London three Whitehall Court.
(39:37):
Where is that Trafalgar Square, Hyde Park, right up the
road from the Houses of Parliament. Gee, that's an accident.
Is there a pattern? It's also in Geneva, Switzerland, inside
a government building. So where has Satan set himself up
with this lie, with this promotion of false teachings right
(39:58):
in the middle of government. So in the nineteen eighties
this seed of deception sprang back into life and has
continued to grow ever since. This is what the Lord
warned us about. This is the mindset and the teaching
that the Lord warned us about that the Church has ignored,
(40:20):
has actually gotten caught up in it promoting its doctrines
and its beliefs, the shack being one of those. The
thoughts that had come out of that are not biblical.
It's more about a Christ's consciousness than it is about
Jesus of Nazaarus, the Messiah. He warned us that at
(40:45):
the sign of his coming at the end of the age,
he warned us, take heed. No one deceives you, for
many will come in my name saying I am the Messiah,
and will deceive many. In Matthew twenty four. Later on
Matthew twenty Voye says, if anyone says to you, look,
here is the Christ or there, do not believe it,
(41:05):
for false Christ and false prophets will rise and show
you great signs and wonders to deceive many, if possible.
Even the ELECTSI have told you beforehand. Therefore they say
to you, look he's in the desert. Do not go out,
or look he's in the inner rooms. Do not believe it.
For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes
(41:26):
to the west, so also the coming of the Son
of Man be. So I don't like using the term Christ.
I know many of you do. You've grown up with it.
You pretty much set in your ways. I like Messiah.
They don't use that term. So Paul's correction of the
church in corinth was to combat and refute the spiritual
(41:51):
deception that he and John and Peter and all the
others knew was already infiltrating the church two Corinthians three fourteen.
But their minds were blinded. Even till this day. The
same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament,
because the veil is taken away in Messiah. Yes he's
(42:12):
talking about Israel and the Jews, but talking about the world.
Tewod Corinthians four to four. Whose mind, the gods mind's plural,
the God small g of this age has blinded who
do not believe lest the light of the Gospel, of
the glory of Messiah, who is the image of God,
should shine on them. That's why I pound this drum,
(42:36):
born again, spirit filled, saved, healed, and delivered. Tell him
about Yeshiah. Don't get caught up in intellectual arguments. Paul
tried that in Greece and Athens didn't go well. Came
back and said, I know one thing, and one thing
only Jesus the Messiah and him crucified. Isaiah predicted that
(43:01):
the Holy Spirit the ro kak Kadesh would anoint the
Messiah from ministry in Isaiah sixty one. As I've quoted already,
and that Jesus of Nazareth, you're sure three fulfilled this
prophecy and it's been affirmed. So why are you telling
(43:21):
us all this, Richard, why are you giving us that
litany of that one deception? First of all, Lord brought
it to my mind. I haven't talked about uh Luci's
trust or Helena Blevatski or Alice Bailey in a very
very long time, and for some reason the Spirit brought
it up this morning. But to function in these end times,
(43:46):
he knew that you and I would need to be
anointed for service. Behold, I send the promise of my
father upon you, buttarian the city of Jerusalem until you
are endued with power from on high. I will send
(44:08):
forth upon you what my father has promised. What'd you
promise that, Lord Joel Chapter two? But remain in the
city of Jerusalem until you are clothed with in dudes
soaked into with power from on high, starting out externally,
(44:32):
going in internally, permanently, inbting with you Greek in duel
to put on, to be clothed with, to be clothed in,
to be arrayed. And anyone clothed with this power confirms
what they preach is correct, and it's the only correct
(44:58):
New Testament way of doing doing things. Yep, That's what
I said. Have you're preaching or teaching or listening to
preachers or teachers that are teaching from knowledge from gnoses
and not through the power of the Holy Spirit. You're
wasting your time. If they're not basing what they say
(45:21):
upon the Word, you're wasting your time. Acts Chapter ten.
Peter gets told by the Holy Spirit to go to
the house of the Roman centurion Cornelius and his household.
(45:41):
Acts ten thirty six. The Word which God sent to
the children of Visuel. He's speaking to everyone in the
in the house, preaching peace through Jesus the Messiah, that
He's lord of all the word you know, which has
was proclaimed throughout all Judea and began from Guest after
the baptism which John preached, how God anointed Jesus of
(46:05):
Nazareth with the Holy Spirit, end with power, who weren't
about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by
the devil, For God was with them, anointed and appointed.
And we are witnesses of all these things Peter said,
which he did both in the land of the Jews
and in Jerusalem, whom they killed by hanging on a
(46:26):
tree him God raised up on the third day and
showed him openly, not to all the people, but to
witnesses chosen before by God. We know five hundred of them,
even to us who ate and drank with them. After
he arose from the dead, and he commanded us to
(46:47):
preach to the people and to testify that it is
he who was ordained by God to be the judge
of the living and the dead. To him, all the
prophet's witness that threw his name. Whoever believes in him,
will receive the remission of sin. That's his sermon, a
(47:09):
little bit of his story, a little bit of his background.
Boom gets right to the point. And so what happens
while Peter was still speaking. While he was still speaking
these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who
heard the word, and those of the circumcision who believed.
The ones who came with Peter were astonished, as many
(47:30):
has come with Peter, because the gift of the Holy
Spirit had also been poured out on the gentiles. Also,
whether heard them speak with tongues and magnify God external internal,
complete change, born again, filled with the Spirit. And so
what does he do. He baptizes them. The Spirit confirmed
(47:54):
himself to Peter and to the others with him, and
so accent in the Jerusalem Council. He goes back and
has a meeting, and they're all upset because these gentiles
got saved and got filled the Holy Spirit and got baptized.
And Peter sets them straight that this has been a
(48:14):
real fulfillment of God's promise of salvation and united by spirit,
these people to the church. He says, as I acts
eleven fifteen, as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit
fell upon them. He didn't say holy Spirit fall, He
didn't lay hands on them, he didn't annoyed them. As
I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them
(48:39):
as upon us at the beginning. And then I remember
the word of the Lord, how he said, John indeed
baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the
Holy Spirit. If therefore God gave them the same gift
as he gave us when we believed. Anna, you show
a hamashikh on Lord Jesus, the Messiah. Who was I
(49:04):
that I could withstand God? It's that simple. Duncan Campbell's
the Scottish evangelists, better known for leading the Lewis Awakening,
the Hebrides Revival in mid twentieth century religious revival in
(49:27):
the Scotland Isles. Duncan Campbell says this, the Kingdom of
God is not going to be advanced by our churches
becoming filled with men, but by men in our churches
becoming filled with God. And the only way to do
that is through this infilling of the Holy Spirit. And
(49:48):
the Holy Spirit. Does us tarry, settle down, wait in
this city of Jerusalem until I've endued you with power
from on high. You're not going to get it done
without me, is what he was saying. And so they did.
They waited, and they were empowered on the day of Pentecost.
(50:10):
And from that point on they kept anointing and appointing.
They kept pouring it out, sometimes by the laying out
of hands, as Paul mentioned, or just by speaking soaked
into the disciples, transferable to others replicated power. Wait a second,
isn't that what Dunamus is self? Replicating power Joel two,
(50:38):
twenty eight to thirty two. But Peter quotes on the
day of Pentecost, and it shall come to pass afterward,
after what after the Messiah, after all these prophecies are fulfilled,
that I will pour out my spirit on all flesh
(50:59):
right there Joe two twenty eight. I will pour out
my spirit on all flesh. Your sons and your daughters
shall prophesy. Your old men shall dream dreams, you young
men shall see visions. And also on my men servants
and on my maid servants. I will pour up my
spirit in those days. And then He shows what will happen.
(51:23):
Right after, I will show wonders in the heavens and
in the earth, blood and fire and pillars of smoke.
The sun will be turned into darkness and the moon
into blood before the coming the great and awesome day
of the Lord. And it shall come to bath that
whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
For in mountains Ion and in Jerusalem, it shall be deliverance.
(51:46):
As the Lord has said among the remnants from the
Lord calls two phases of the end time. One phase
began on the day of Pentecost. Were awaiting that second phase.
So understanding now why that phrase in first John two
(52:08):
twenty is so important. You have an anointing from the
Holy One, and you know all things you've received from him.
You know the one who abides in you has taken
permanent residence in you. You really shouldn't need anybody to
teach you. But as the same anointed anointing teaches you
(52:32):
concerning all things and is true and is not a lie,
just that it has taught you, you will abide in him. Well,
if I don't need a teacher, Richard, what are you
here for? Well, babies don't learn to walk on their own.
They don't learn the too solid food on their own.
It's for me to pass on what I've learned. It's
(52:53):
for me to help you get to wherever it is
you're going in accordance with the Lord's will. He has
appointed these things. But the truth is, I've met people
that without any teachers have come to the right revelation.
The mistake they've made is when they filled in the blanks.
(53:16):
Thankfully I've had both. I've had a good teacher, but
I also had a time in a wilderness for just
the Holy Spirit, and I was able to confirm it
with the books he led me to read. And then
I can get clarity from Pastor Shelley when I didn't
completely understand it. But this anointing is in all who believe,
(53:44):
and its purpose discern fault teachings be able to spot
the Antichrist in the present days to share it with
others to fulfill the work of the Lord. The presence
(54:10):
of the Spirit is to help us distinguish truth from error,
and he will use other teachers to help accomplish this.
But he will not draw attention to himself. He will
send all glory to the Lord, and it'll line up
(54:30):
with the Word. It's a couple of things that I
want to emphasize before we close. In the church age
where we are right now hasn't ended, no matter what
some of these false teachers are saying. In the church age,
all believers have been anointed. Let me say that again.
(54:52):
All believers have been anointed. So here comes another pet
peeve that I believe is now exposed. Praying for an
anointing on your pastor or the message that's external. That's
an Old Testament concept. It's not necessary today. All pastors
(55:14):
are believers, and all believers in general have been anointed
the spirits in them. And I see some people that
are supposed to know better praying and singing songs about
the external falling and manifestation of the Holy Spirit. Why
would I do that? Because He's already inside of me. Oh,
(55:39):
I know why, Because if I believe in and teach
the external manifestation of the Spirit. It doesn't require me
to live a life of holiness and righteousness, but an
internal manifestation does. Let me say that again. If I
(56:01):
focus only on the external manifestation the Spirit, and I
teach that to you, there's no pressure then to be
a vessel worthy of the Spirit, holiness, righteousness, walking upright
with him in the spirit. I can just pray for
(56:23):
a little dabbil, do you, whenever I need it. The
permanent anointing of the Spirit creates a vibrant, living entity
that changes things. It's foundational to all the ministries that
the Spirit performs today. That's why the scripture John fourteen twelve,
(56:48):
which started my new journey in twenty ten, actually it
was two thousand and seven, took me to twenty ten
t I completely understood it and felt enough clarity to
teach it John fourteen twelve. I tell you the truth,
(57:08):
anyone who believes in me will do the same works
I have done, and even greater works, because I am
going to be with the Father. The fullness of the
Holy Spirit that rested upon him and worked through him,
now works through his body, which is us. You ever
received the Holy Spirit. He lives within you. You know
(57:32):
what is truth. The Spirit teaches you everything you need
to know, and what he shows you is truth. It's
not a lie. It'll line up with the word. It
will glorify him. Aw Tozer says, the Spirit felt life
(57:53):
is not a special deluxe edition of Christianity. It is
part and parcel of the total plan of God for
His people. You and I, the Church, the body, the
called out ones. We've been appointed for service by the
(58:15):
Holy Spirit to finish the work that was begun by
the Lord, picked up by the disciples and the Book
of Acts Church and passed on to us. And Satan
has done everything he can to disrupt and thwart it.
(58:36):
But he can't. So he has to get us to
believe lies or to sit down on the job or quit,
or let somebody else do it for them. But I'm
calling you. If you're listening and your care and the
Spirit has spoken to you and is touching you, I'm
calling you to pick up pick up the calling, pick
(58:59):
up the bank. Let's shake this world one last time
before the return of the King. Let's expose the lies.
Let's expose the false teaching and teachers and let's get
people saved, healed and delivered. Lord, I pray, right now,
let your spirit inside of us get stirred up. Let
the fire gets stirred up. Let it just begin to burn.
(59:23):
And if there's anything smothering it, if there's not enough
wood in it, whatever we need right now, just pour
oil on us, Lord, pour oil on us, and get
that fire going. Let it explode. Let it burn everything
out of us that's not you. But let us touch
our lips and let us speak, touch our hearts and
show us your love and love for others, and give
(59:46):
that love. Touch our hands so that we can offer
compassion and healing, touch our feet so that we can go.
Send us. We believe, Lord, we believe that we have
been anointed for service, and we want to serve you.
(01:00:09):
We want all that you have for us. No hindrances,
no delays, no interference. And let it consume everything in
us that's not of you. And anywhere the enemy has
touched us, let it singe them so that they pull
their hands back and shock and run away. Let us burn, burn,
(01:00:33):
burn in your fire. I pray all these things and
your shoe his name, Amen, May the Lord bless you
and keep you. May the Lord make his face to
shine upon you, and be gracious to you. May the
(01:00:55):
Lord may I don't know your shoe a Hummersiah, Jesus
the Messiah, lift up his countenance upon you and give
you peace, Give you shallow. I'm Richard Gren. This has
been the Porch on Firefall Talk Radio.
