The Holy Spirit's infilling brought a Divine fire to the Church that fueled its evangelistic efforts. This eternal flame inspired Moses from a burning bush and Elijah on Mount Carmel. It is the Presence of God among His people. Believers need to get fired up and finish the mission of the Book of Acts Church that began in the Upper Room.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
Welcome, Welcome to the Porch on Firefall Talk Radio. I'm
Richard Grund. This is where you find the uncompromised Red
letter basics of the Word of God, with a focus
on the Book of xs Church to see how they
serve the Lord. When we do that, we find the
Church a Lord intended, not the one man created. The

(00:45):
Porch is here to restore the priesthood of the believer
and regain the world shaking influence that the early Church
had church ages and over. The Upper Room experience is
as much for today as it was on the day
of Pentecosts. It's yours if you want it. Links to

Thank you for being a part of the Porch. If
you need prayer. You want to pray for others in
the porch community, just contact us. We will plug that
into the list and let others know. Remember we care

(01:52):
about you. We would like to be able to pray
for you and help you. However, we can start out
with praise, prayer and the sound of the show. For
our Father, We praise you. You are an amazing dad

(02:12):
Abbah Papa. We'll give you all the honor and all
the glory and all the praise. We thank you for
redeeming us and allowing us to come home. We thank
you for sending you shore to pay our debts so
that we could. Lord, We praise you and love you,

(02:35):
and thank you for the price you paid on the
cross for our sins. That we never would have been
able to pay. A debt too great. You did it
for us. Thank you for that. Thank you for the
empty tomb. Thank you for the Upper Room, and the
sending of your Holy Spirit to walk with us, to

(02:59):
guide us, to teach us, to remind us of everything
that you said and did. So right now we take
our thoughts captive to the obedience of Messiah. Claiming the
mind of Messiah, we cast down every vain imagination that
would exalt itself above the knowledge of l on God.

(03:21):
Knowst Eye our Father, Protect the technology, Protect each and
every one of us, our homes, lands, families, pets, possessions.
Keep us from evil and the evil one, Holy Spirit,
have your way overshadow us. Let us believe and receive

(03:42):
and be changed by your word, by the fire of
your Holy Spirit. And we ask all these things, and
you shoe his name, And if you agree with me,
say amen.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
Okay, get those Bibles open, get ready and prepared to
receive the word. You know, we've been talking about the
refiner's fire, and you can't have gold without the fire.
It just can't be done. So let's get fired up.

(04:53):
Go with me to Jeremiah chapter twenty, starting verse seven.
This is Jeremiah speaking, O Lord, you induced me, and
I was persuaded. You are stronger than I and have prevailed.
I am in derision daily. Everyone mocks me. For when
I spoke, I cried out. I shouted violence and plunder

(05:17):
because of the word of the Lord was made to me,
a reproach in a derision daily. Then I said, I
will not make mention of him, nor speak any more
in his name. But his word was in my heart
like a burning fire shut up in my bones. I
was weary of holding it back, and I could not.

(05:42):
He was fired up yet a fire in his bones.
He couldn't stop saying what the Lord told him to say.
The Believer's Study Bible says the word induced does not
have an evil connotation, but rather as j Maya's way
of suggesting that God led him into the prophetic office

(06:04):
without telling him of the subsequent sorrow and misery which
would accompany him in this difficult endeavor. God allowed jeremiah
to be exposed to vicious attacks. Jeremiah's now disillusioned with
his prophetic office and dissatisfied with God who called him

(06:25):
to prophesy. But actually his charge is inaccurate, because God
did warn him that trials would come, and he also
assured him that he would provide divine strength, and he
did that. In Jeremiah One stud of verse seventeen, he says.
The Lord says to Jeremiah, Therefore, prepare yourself and arise

(06:47):
and speak to them all that I have commanded you.
Do not be dismayed before their faces, lest I dismay
you before them. For behold, I have made you the
stay a fortified city in an iron pillar and bronze walls,
against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against

(07:09):
its princes, against its priest, and against the people of
the land. They will fight against you, but they shall
not prevail against you. Fry I am with you, says
the Lord, to deliver you. Jeremia found it impossible not

(07:29):
to speak the words of God's judgment, even though his
messages turned him into a household joke and target for
derision and attack. There have been many a time, not
lately but a while back, when I would say to

(07:50):
the Lord, you left out some key information when you
called me. You didn't tell me everything. I might not
have accepted the call, but I know I would have.
I know that I would have. But being rejected in
the world is one thing. But then you make him
lord of your life, and you come to serve him

(08:11):
in the kingdom, and then you get rejected by the
inhabitants of that kingdom. Theoman Bible diction nurses Jeremiah is
depicted as living in constant friction with the authorities of
his people, the religious authorities, the political authorities, and all

(08:32):
of them together, including the Jewish leaders after the Babylonian invasion.
Speaking the word of God, especially in correction and judgment,
is not well received. You don't have crowds around you.
God's word was like a consuming fire in Jeremiah's heart

(08:55):
and bones. Unless the word was unleashed, it felt like
he would perish. Unlike the heart of the people, Jeremiah's mental, physical, emotional,
and spiritual life was overwhelmed by God's word and will
for his people. A passion and a zeal for God

(09:19):
motivated all that he did and all that he was.
Finds complete expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament. Words
as fire often attended God's presence In Theophanes Exodus three

(09:41):
to two. In the Angel of the Lord Capital, a
angel of the Lord appeared to him Moses in a
flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So
he looked and behold, the bush was burning with fire.
But the bush was not consume. That's just like the
heart that Jeremiah had and the heart others have for

(10:05):
God that burns with fire but it's not consumed, sometimes
called a consuming fire. Exodus twenty four seventeen, the sight
of the glory of the Lord was like a consuming
fire on the top of the mountain in the eyes
of the children of Israel. In case you don't remember, Theophanes.

(10:29):
A manifestation of God in the Bible that is tangible
to the human senses, meaning he appears in human form.
In its most restrictive sense, it is the visible appearance
of God in the Old Testament period, often but not
always in human form. God appearing to Abraham and Moses,

(10:53):
Jacob wrestling with God in Genesis thirty two, verses twenty
two through thirty. When that happens, fire is usually associated
with it. Some Bible commentators believe, and it's what I
was taught from Shelley, that whenever someone received a visit

(11:15):
from the Angel of the Lord, it was in fact
the pre pre incarnate Messiah. Fire in the bones and
the heart in the mind is the presence of God.

(11:35):
Look twelve forty nine. I came to send a fire
on the earth, and how it I wish it was
already kindled, but I do have a baptism to be
baptized with, and how distressed I am till it is accomplished.
Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth?

(11:56):
I tell you not at all, but rather division. From
now on, five in one house will be divided, three
against two, and two against three. Father will be divided
against son, and son against father, mother against daughter and
daughter against mother, mother in law against her daughter in law,

(12:17):
and her daughter in law against her mother in law.
He's the dividing line, the line of fire that separates
those who are of him and who are not, those
who believe in Him and those who don't, between the
two kingdoms. I have come to set the world on fire. You, Sue,

(12:41):
have said, a ministry that radically changed the status quo,
bringing judgment on the wicked and purifying the righteous. That's
not peace. That's not let's go along to get along.
It's not seeker friendly. He's the dividing line. He's the

(13:07):
fire line. Fire. An image associated with God's judgment is
show is coming will being judgment on those who refuse
to accept him and divides the believers from the faithless.
Though Yeshuah was ready for the judgment of humankind, other

(13:31):
things had to happen first, Oh, little things like the cross,
the empty tomb, and the upper room, redemption, resurrection, rejuvenation.
That fire exposes things. It shows who we really are.

(13:57):
Do we belong to Him or do we belong to
the world. That's why the Church doesn't really want that
kind of fire. That's why society doesn't want that kind
of fire. Hey, don't be bringing that fire over here,
you Romans twelve, verse two, and do not be conformed

(14:20):
to this world any longer with its superficial values and customs.
But be transformed and progressively changed as you mature spiritually,
by the renewing of your mind, focusing on godly values
and ethical attitude, so that you may prove for yourselves

(14:41):
what the will of God is, that which is good
and acceptable and perfect in His plan and purpose for you.
Be transformed that Greek word meaning metamorphosis to a metamorphosis.

(15:03):
You know the comic book character the Whole Culk. He
goes from being scientist Bruce Banners to the Incredible Hulk.
That's a metamorphosis, an outward change for us should be
a permanent change, the outward change that comes through the

(15:28):
indwelling fire of the Holy Spirit. You cannot stay the
same when the fire is in you. If you're the same,
something's wrong. That was never his intention. It's not the
Holy Spirit's intention. But thankfully for us, he's a gentleman,

(15:52):
and he doesn't forced himself upon us and doesn't force
us to do anything. If we resist the flame, he
pulls away. John chapter three, verses three and seven have said,
I assure you, and most solemnly say to you. Unless
a person is born again, reborn from above, spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified,

(16:21):
he cannot ever see and experience the Kingdom of God.
Do not be surprised that I've told you you must
be born again, reborn from above, sect spiritually transformed, renewed,
and sanctified. John five point twenty four. Again read letters

(16:47):
of Yashiah. I assure you, and most solemnly say to you.
The person who hears my word, the one who heeds
my message and believes and trust in him who sent me,
has possesses now eternal life. That is eternal life actually

(17:08):
begins the believers transformed and does not come into judgment
and condemnation, but has passed over from death into life.
Without being born again. Without that transformation, we aren't in

(17:35):
the condition we need to be to stand before His
throne of judgment. But when you have been gone through
the metamorphosis, you can stand there assured that you have
nothing to worry about one Granthians twelve, verse thirteen. For

(17:58):
by one holy Spirit, we were all baptized into one body,
spiritually transformed, united together, whether Jews or Greeks, which are
the gentiles, slaves or free, and we were all made
to drink of one holy spirit, since the same holy

(18:19):
spirit fills each life. Galatians three twenty six. For you
who are born again have been reborn from above, spiritually transformed, renewed,
and sanctified, and are all children of God, set apart
for His purpose with full rights and privileges. Through faith

(18:39):
in Messiah. You sure you are either a child of Adam,
you're a child of God. You're either a child of
the world, you're a child of God. And that does
not happen until you are spiritually transformed, renewed, and sanctified.
It doesn't happen to become His Workmanships Ephesians two ten.

(19:02):
For we are his workmanship, his own master work, a
work of art and created in Messiah Yeshua, reborn from above,
spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used for good works
which God prepared for us beforehand, taking paths which he

(19:24):
set so that we would walk in them, living the
good life which he pre arranged and made ready for us.
Has that He set that we get to walk upon,
using the word as a lamp unto our feet to

(19:44):
guide each step along the way. Jeremiah twenty three twenty nine.
Is not my word, like a fire, says the Lord,
and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces.
I don't understand not having a fire and a passion

(20:05):
for his word. When I first got saved and he
started to open it up to me and give me
eyes to see and ears to hear and open my heart,
I couldn't get enough. I couldn't put it down. And
now every day I think about it, I read it,
I speak it, I share it, I discuss it. It's life,

(20:32):
it's fire, it's illumination, it's inspiration. It's the fuel that
drives me. The spoken word and the written word becomes
a living flame of the Holy Spirit. Does that frighten

(20:56):
you or impassion? You have got to figure out if
it frightens you, why if it drives you and fills
you with passion? Okay, we can do something without. He
was forced Verses twelve and thirteen. For the Word of

(21:20):
God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two
edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit,
and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of
the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is
no creature hidden from his sight. But all things are

(21:41):
naked and open to the eyes of Him, to whom
we must give a count. The flame of the Holy
Spirit exposes everything. It's like a laser powered scalpel that
can cut through anything, expose anything. John the Baptist talked

(22:05):
about it Matthew three eleven. He said, I indeed baptize
you with water into repentance. But he was coming after me,
is mightier than I, who sandals I am not worthy
to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit
and fire. He felt so unworthy, and he couldn't even

(22:30):
carry the sandals of the coming Messiah. Also just happened
to be his cousin. John the Baptist was pointing towards
a baptism of repentance, first a willingness to turn from sin.
This starts the spiritual process as an outward sign of commitment,

(22:56):
but to be effective it must be accompanied and in
would change, leading to a changed life. The appearance of
the Messiah with a spirit and baptism fire is what
John was pointing to, and of course the religious leaders

(23:16):
of the day didn't want to hear that. When you
show it baptized with the Holy Spirit, the entire person
would be refined by the spirit's fire. So for those
who believe the fire is positive, but for unbelievers, the

(23:39):
fire brings awful judgment. That's what this is all about.
That's what the Book of X Church was empowered and
fueled to go do, to let the world know the

(24:03):
fire line is here. What side of it are you
gonna be on? You know, when proper forestry management happens,
they create areas where fire cannot jump, and so they

(24:23):
burn a fire line to protect decide that could be damaged.
We were called to bring a fire line to the
earth to say to everyone, Hey, if you want to

(24:44):
be safe, come over here, but you can only make
it through the flame if you're born again. Acts Chapter two,
starting verse one. When the day of Pentecost had fully come,
they were all with one accord in one pl and
suddenly there came a sound from heaven has a rushing

(25:08):
mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they
were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongue as
of fire, and one sat upon each of them, and
they were all filled with the Holy Spirit. He began

(25:30):
to speak with other tongues as the spirit gave them mutterance.
In First Enoch, when Enoch enters the Throne Room of
the Son of Man and of the Ancient of Days,
he describes the walls as having tongues of fire. So

(25:58):
that says to me, the Holy Spirit, which is coming
down from Heaven into the upper room onto believers, onto
people like us, is coming from the Throne Room itself.
The Nelson New King James Study Bible says, there appear

(26:20):
to them divided tongues as of fire. So after the
great crowd gathering sound of the rushing mighty wind that
was to get everybody's attention, came the visual manifestation of
God fire often indicated the presence of God. God initially

(26:42):
appeared to Moses in a burning bush that was not consumed.
In Exodus three, God guided the children of Israel with
a pillar of fire by night Exodus thirteen, he descended
before them in fire on Mount Sinais. Nineteen. God sent

(27:03):
fire to consume Elijah's offering on Mount Carmel, first King
of eighteen and he used the vision of fire to
warn Ezekiel of his coming judgment in Ezekiel Chapter one.
If there's fire, holy fire, God is present. So the

(27:24):
day of Pentecost, the fire of God filled believers, who
then brought that fire upon the world, said make a choice.
Be cleansed, be healed, be redeemed by the fire, or
be destroyed. And it just ran through my spirit as

(27:44):
I'm sitting here saying these words to you, how foolish
it is for supposed churches to reject the fire, to
reject the infilling of the Holy Spirit, to be baptized
and pickled you and be part of the frozen chosen
who are dead. Why would you want that? No, give

(28:12):
me some fire every day and all day long, from
the burning bush to Mount Sinai to the upper room.
That fire signifies the presence of God. So when you
hear Firefall Talk Radio or Firefall Media Group, or Firefall
Productions or the Firefall Network, your first thoughts should be

(28:38):
the presence of God's in that fire. That's where it
came from, that's its meaning, that's its motivation. But you know,
the one thing that we have to consider. His presence

(28:58):
cannot be contained th unholiness, and therein lies the rub
Oh wait, wait, wait, wait, you're telling me that you
make me want to have this fire. You make me
want the fire. But now you're telling me I got
to keep the vessel clean and strong enough for the

(29:20):
fire to hold it. I thought this was free. I
didn't think I was going to have to do anything
for it. Gee, now I don't know if I want that.
Richard two Corinthians four, starting verse seventeen. But we have
this treasure in earthen vessels, and the excellence of the

(29:45):
power of the Donamus may be of God and not us.
We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed.
We are perplexed but not in despair, persecuted but not
for's sake, and struck down but not destroyed, always caring

(30:05):
about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus.
I don't know. You're sure that the life of your
Shua also may be manifested in our body, for we
who live are always delivered to death for your Shoer's sake,

(30:26):
and the life of you sure also maybe manifested in
our mortal flesh. So then death is working in us
for life in you. Since we have the same spirit
of faith. According to what is written, I believed, and
therefore I spoke, we also believe and therefore speak, knowing

(30:53):
that he capital h he who raised, who raised up
the Lord Jesus, You sure will also raise us up
with your Shua, and will present us with you. For
all things are for your sakes. That grace having spread
through the many, may cause thanksgiving to a bound to

(31:16):
the glory of God, always carrying around in the body
the dying of yr Shoa, so that the resurrection life
of Yeshua may also be shown in our body. The
resurrection life, you can't have it without being born again.

(31:41):
You can't have it without the fiery presence of the
Holy Spirit. It's the resurrection life that separates us from
this world from those that are dying, and it's Matthew,
starting verse thirteen, read letters, you sure is speaking. You

(32:05):
are the salt of the earth. But if the salt
loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is
then good for nothing but to be thrown out and
trampled under foot by men. You are the light of
the world. A city that is set on a hill
cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and

(32:29):
put it under a basket, but on a lamp stand,
and it gives light to all who are in the house.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may
see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
Let your fire light shine so that it glorifies your

(32:55):
Father in Heaven, so that it inspires others. I read
a article the other day about the the red light
given off by fire. Sitting around a fire depositive benefits
to the human body, to the mind, to the spirit's
kind of a red light therapy for us who believe

(33:21):
anyway the fires a therapy for the world not so much,
Psalm fifty, verse three. Our God approaches, and he is
not silent. Fire devours everything in his way, and a
great storm rages around him. He who's twelve twenty nine.

(33:45):
For our God is a consuming fire Isaiah forty eight. Ten. Behold,
I have refined you, but not as silver. I have
tested you in the furnace of affliction Zechariah thirteen nine.

(34:05):
I will bring the one third through the fire, will
refine them as silver is refined, and test them as
gold is tested. They will call on my name, and
I will answer them. I will say, this is my people,
and each one will say, the Lord is my God.

(34:28):
What one third is he talking about? At the end,
after the calamities that befall the earth, is a third
of the world that's left. That third is in Israel
and the surrounding areas. A third of his people will

(34:52):
be brought through the fire. They will be redeemed, they
will be protected. We won't be here, the Church won't
be here for that fire coming upon the earth, because
we accepted Him as Lord, and the fire the Holy

(35:16):
spirit within us. See what's so important to be fire tested,
to be refined, to be pure? First Meeter one, p.
Seven That the genuineness of your faith, being much more
precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire,

(35:41):
may be found to praise, honor and glory may be
found to praise honor and glory and the revelation of
Jesus the Messiah. Fire separates all the foreign and impure
materials from gold. Gold loses nothing of its nature, weight,

(36:05):
or color, any other property. Gold is kept in a
state of fusion for months without the smallest change when
it's in the fire. And genuine faith is also proved
by trials. Faith, like gold, is purified by the fire

(36:31):
as it is tested. We don't want it. We don't
want the heat. We don't want the testing. We don't
want to go through the purifying process. But you can't
be what He wants you to be without it. As
the purity of gold is brought forth by intense heat,

(36:57):
so is the reality in the purity of our faith
are revealed because of the fiery trials we face. No,
we want it easy. We want to sit in the
air conditioned buildings on those velvet seats. Just give me

(37:18):
that old time religion. Don't test me, and don't you
dare burn me. Ultimately, the testing of our faith will
not only demonstrate our final salvation, but it develops our

(37:39):
capacity to bring glory, to reflect the glory of the
Lord Jesus the Messiah. When he comes into his kingdom
and re reign with him tangibly. The people that are
left on the earth will be able to see who
we are because of the glow. What a visual that'll be.

(38:07):
But you know, we can glow now, we can shine, now,
we can arise and shine. Now we can wake up
from this religious slumber and stupor and shine. But to
do that we got to let the Holy Spirit have
his way, do whatever it is he wants to do

(38:29):
what he needs to do, because that gold will reflect
the face of the goldsmith. We want the world to
see him, not us. And the problem I see with
the church today, too many people want you to see them,

(38:50):
see me, send me your money. They want you to
think that there's something special. No, let him see Jesus.
Let him see the face of the one who saved him.

(39:12):
One Peter four, starting verse twelve, beleved, do not be
amazed and bewildered at the firey ordeal which is taking
place to test your quality, as though something strange and
unusual and alien to you and your position were befalling you.
But in so far as you are sharing Massiahs suffering, rejoice,

(39:34):
so that when his glory full of radiance and splendor
is revealed, you may also rejoice with triumph exultingly. See
Jeremiah was speaking as a prophet. But guess what. We've
all been called to shine that glory, to carry that fire.

(39:54):
We've all been called to receive it, speak his word
and have that passion for him. New Living Study Bible
says when Peter says, don't be surprised. Believe as he's saying.
Especially those seeking to lead godly lives, can expect to

(40:18):
face hostility in a sinful world. You can't go along
to get along. You can't do that. There is no
getting along with the world that looks at you and
sees the reflection of Messiah and sees their sinfulness and
has to make a choice. Well, either he I need

(40:40):
to stop doing that, or be I need to stop
you from making me feel that way. Romans Age seventeen says,
if we're children, then were heirs airs of God, joint
airs with Messiah, And if indeed we suffer with them,
we may also be glorified together. I don't want you

(41:07):
to be comfortable. I won't let you be comfortable. I
will always speak the word in purity, with fire, with passion,
with the Holy Spirit. The readers of Peter's letter were

(41:31):
astonished that they had to suffer as believers, especially to
the extent that they were suffering. The Greek worrid translated
fiery trial here was also used to speak of the
intense fire that burned away in purities and metals. Look

(41:52):
at this message over and over and over, Christians. The
purpose of suffering is to prove the true character, to
clear away the dross of sin, and to allow the
pure nature of Messiah to show itself. So it's not

(42:14):
not some strange thing. It is the way of life
we should expect and prepare for suffering. I'm not saying, hey,
go looking for it, don't be a spiritual masochist. But
what I'm saying is it's a part of the equation.
Don't be so shocked, and don't whine about it. Although

(42:38):
I will be honest, I have it is what it
is James, Chapter one, starting verse two. My brethren, count
it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing
that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let

(43:04):
patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect
and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom.
Let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally
and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
But let him ask in faith with no doubting, For

(43:25):
he who doubts is like a wave of the sea,
driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that
man or woman suppose they will receive anything from the Lord.
They are double minded, unstable in all their ways. Consider
it wholly joyful, my brother. Whenever you enveloped in or

(43:51):
encounter trials of any sort, or fall into various temptations,
be assured and understand that the trial improving of your
faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience. But let
endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do

(44:17):
a thorough work, so that you may be people perfectly
and fully developed, with no defects, lacking in nothing. If
any view is deficient wisdom, let him ask of the
giving God, who gives to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without
reproach or fault fighting, and it will be given to them.

(44:41):
Only it must be in faith that they ask, with
no wavering or hesitating, no doubting. For the one who wavers, hesitates,
or doubts is like the billowing surge out at sea
that is blown hither and thither and tossed by the wind.
That's hither and thither spirituality. But truly, let us let

(45:04):
not such a person imagine they will receive anything they
asked for from the Lord. Listen to me. Be sure
that your faith is in God alone. Don't waiver, don't
have divided loyalty. Don't be thrown one way and then
the other way, and think this, and then think that,

(45:26):
and the winds and of life blow you back and
forth to where you have no faith, a divided loyalty
between God and the world. Let your faith be tested
and approved, a term that was used for coins that

(45:47):
were genuine and not degraded. They were pure. The aim
of the testing is not to destroy you or afflict you,
but to purge and refine. It's a cent to our
maturity as believers. Even Abraham's faith had to be tested,

(46:08):
and that meaning a patience transcends the idea of bearing
the affliction. It includes the idea of standing fast under
pressure with a staying power that turns adversities into opportunities.
If a believer endures a trial here or she will

(46:31):
be perfect, meaning having reached the end, complete and whole.
I read this illustration about trials and tribulation. I want
to share it with you. Take a piece of wax,
a piece of meat, some sand, some clay, and some

(46:53):
wood shavings. Put them on a fire, and see how
they react. Each of them is being acted upon by
the same agent, i e. The fire. Yet the wax melts,
the meat fries, the sand dries up, the clay hardens,
and the shavings ablaze. Just so under identical influence of

(47:17):
circumstances and environment, one man has made better and it
becomes stronger, and another becomes weaker, while another withers away.
This explains why one hears the word of God and
has made better. Still another hears the same thing and

(47:37):
has made angry. Not so much what has done to us,
but what we do determines our destiny. Take heed, how
you hear and how you act. To be double minded

(47:58):
is literally two. So if one part of a person
is set on God and the other part is set
upon this world and the thinking and the ways of
this world, there be a constant conflict within Matthew six,
Verses twenty two through twenty four the lamp of the

(48:20):
body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good,
your whole body will be full of light. But if
your eye is bad, your whole body will be full
of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you
is darkness, how great is that darkness. No one can

(48:42):
serve two masters, raither he will hate one and love
the other, or he will be loyal to one and
despise the other. You cannot serve God and Mamin. And
by the way, Mamin is a demonic entity. It is

(49:03):
a god with a small g You can't serve two gods.
Which would be a lamp fed by oil, an oil
that never runs out, not that one that burns for
a time and then goes out. No, it's a lamp

(49:26):
filled with oil. Give me oil in my lamp, keep
me burning, give me give me oil in my lamp.
I pray, give me oil in my lamp. Keep keep
me burning, keep me burning until the break of day,
the day of the Lord. So my word to you

(49:47):
tonight is stay fired up, stay burning, stay aglow, because
the world is not like that. Tewod Corinthians four to four,
whose minds the God of the sage has blinded who
do not believe, lest the light of the Gospel, of

(50:08):
the glory of Messiah, who is the image of God,
should shine on them. See their darkness. They're not light.
There's no glow to them. There's no life in them,
which is why in Second Corinthians six, Paul tells the
church and corns, starting verse fourteen, do not be unequally

(50:31):
yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness?
And what communion has light with darkness? And what a chord?
What agreement has Messiah with belail or what part as
a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the

(50:52):
Temple of God with idols? For you are the temple
of the Living God. As God said, I will dwell
in them and welcome among them. I will be their God,
and they shall be my people. Therefore, come out from
among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not
touch what is unclean, and I will receive you. I

(51:17):
will be a father to you, and you shall be
my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty. There for
having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves, purify ourselves
from all the filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting
holiness in the fear of God. See the church and

(51:39):
some of the Corinthians were joining with heathen in idolatrous
feast and other practices that would lead to apostasy. Oh
my gosh, Paul, you would be shocked of the church
today joining an idolatrous feast. Wosh unequally yoke mean, keep
to your own ranks. Don't leave believers, don't leave and join

(52:04):
with unbelievers, because impurities in the gold diminishes its value
and its shine. Keeping ourselves pure with the fire of
the Holy Spirit in a world of impurities Ephesians five
to eleven. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds

(52:27):
of darkness, but rather expose them, expose them by the
light shining from our lives. Because going all the way
back to John chapter three with the shoe is speaking
to Nicodemus Versus twenty and twenty one. For everyone practicing
evil hates the light and does not come to the

(52:52):
light lest his deeds be exposed should be exposed. But
he who does the truth comes to the light that
his deed, their deeds may be clearly seen, that they've
been done in God wow, can't you tell? Because it
has the fire and the shine of God all over it.

(53:12):
One Peter two nine. You are a chosen generation, a
royal priest, that a holy nation, his own special people,
that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called
you out of darkness into his marvelous light, into his

(53:34):
marvelous light. To shine, shine, shine, shine, Let it shine.
Our positions believers has changed from darkness which is sin,
to light, which is His righteousness. So therefore we should

(53:56):
change our walk and the way we think, just to
correspond with our position in Messiah. Again, look at Romans
twelve to two. Do not be conformed to this world,
but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that

(54:20):
you may prove what is that good and acceptable and
perfect will of God. Every day the prayer should be, Lord,
search me, take any impurities out of me, cleanse me,
renew my mind, Holy Spirit, transform me into a new person.

(54:42):
Changing the way I think we are in this world.
But we're not out of this world, and that starts
in the heart and the mind. The divine presence of
God through the Holy Spirit, burns the world out of us.
Let me leave you with this thought. Have you ever

(55:07):
seen a blacksmith work with a piece of iron. He
holds it in the fire to soften it and make
it pliable. That is exactly why God permits the testing
of your faith by temptations and trials. And just like

(55:28):
the blacksmith, where he'll pound it into submission, God will
allow circumstances to pound you into submission to be formed
into what He needs you to be. He wants you
to acquire patience, to acquire pliability. If you and I
are constantly out of the fire of affliction, we become

(55:50):
stiff and useless. God wants to reshape us according to
his image. For in the fall of Adam we lost
our divine shape, our divine image, but in the raising
up of the Lord we got it back. There's an

(56:12):
album by Paul Whilbert's been around for a while, at
least twenty, maybe even thirty years. I have to look
it up. I know I was listening to it in
ninety seven, so it might have been around in ninety five.
So then I put about thirty years called Holy Fire.

(56:36):
There's a song in they're called burn in Me. It's
more of a prayer than it is a song. Burn
in Me burn in me. Let the fire of the
Holy One burn in me. Your words like a fire

(56:58):
burning in my soul. Burn up the dross, Bring forth
the gold. You feel like a fire, shut up in
my bones. Consume me, Lord, make me your own. Lord,
burn burn in us. Let your holy fire burn in us,

(57:25):
Burn up the dross, bring forth the gold. Let us
go forth, speaking your words, setting the captives free, shining
a light into the darkness, being transformed into what you,
as the master, the goldsmith, the artist, would make. Oh,

(57:49):
the world will make gold statues, actually gold plated statues
for their god, small cheeses, for their icons, and for
all the things that are not of you. They could
never make anything as pure as you. But your holy

(58:10):
spirit in us brings that to us, does that for us.
Burn in us, Lord, your words are like a fire
they burn in our soul. Burn up the draw, spring
forth the gold. Consume us, Lord, make us your own.

(58:32):
Let us shine. Folks, come on pray with me. Now
ask him, Lord, burn in me. Take the impurities out
of me, Take any of the old me out of me,
Take any of the old thoughts in the old ways.
Take anything the world has infected in me, Burn it up.

(58:53):
Take it out. Purify me so that I can shine, shine, shine, Amen,
pray ask him every day. Check me. If there's anything

(59:18):
unclean in me, show it to me, Let me put
it in the fire. May the Lord bless you and
keep you. May the Lord may I don't I make
his face do shine upon you and be gracious to you.
May the Lord I doa'nt I you sure how much

(59:39):
shea lift his countenance, countenance up upon you, and give
you peace, Give you shall own. I'm Richard Grund. This
