Speaker 1 (00:21):
Hello, Welcome to the Porch on Firefall Talk Radio. I'm
Richard Grund. This is where you get We get back
to basics where you will find the uncompromised read letter
basics of the Word of God. We will focus on
the book of a Church to see how they served
the Lord. In doing so we find the Church the
Lord intended and not the one Man created. The Porch
(00:45):
is a non denominational, full gospel approach to the Bible,
based on the example of the Book of Acts Church,
which we aim to restore the priesthood of the believer
that they had, regaining the world shaking influence of the
early Church to shake this world one last time before
the return of the King. The Church age is and
(01:06):
over the Upper Room experience that is available today just
as it was on the day of Pentecost. It's yours
if you desire it. We offer the Word as the
Apostles would have to the Jewish and gentile believers of
their day, using both Yeshua and Jesus when speaking of
the Lord. I prefer to use the term Messiah rather
(01:30):
than Christ, because I believe it more accurately reflects how
he was referred to by those who knew him. Also,
I provide definitions, sometimes in Hebrew and Greek and Aramaic
when necessary, to bring a fuller understanding to scripture. Getting
back to basics isn't just our motto, It's a mandate
(01:52):
from the Lord. Links to all of our social media

I know I said the email prayer email would go out.
Sorry a little delayed on that, hoping to have it
done this week. Remember we care about you and if
you don't know how to pray, the Spirit does so.
Just pray for the Porch community, for me, my family,
for USRT, for firefall, and all that we endeavor to do.
(03:02):
As the Lord leads, we start out with praise and
prayer and the sound of the show for so first,
let's praise them Heavenly Father, Abah Papa, we praise you.
We praise you for being the Dad that you are,
for loving us when we were unlovable, for seeking us
out when we didn't deserve it. Thank you, Thank you
(03:26):
for being the father that so many of us have
desired our whole life. Thank you for sending you shore,
your only begotten son, to pay our debts so that
we could be reconciled to you and be able to
spend eternity with you. Thank you, Lord, Thank you for
(03:48):
everything you've done. Thank You doesn't seem to be enough,
But from our hearts, from our souls, from our spirits,
we just praise you and love you what you did
on the cross us we're rising from the dead, ascending
to sit at the right hand of the Father, sending
back the Holy Spirit. You did it all, and we
(04:11):
have been given this free gift. Thank you for doing that.
Thank you for the Holy Spirit which walks with us
and teaches us and guides us and reminds us of you.
And ties us to You and the Father in the
Throne Room. So, Holy Spirit, we thank you, we ask
that you have your way tonight. Connect us, each and
(04:32):
every one of us wherever we are, connect us to
the Throne room. Let the spirit flow through our words
and everything we say and do. We pray hedge your
protection over us, our homes, our families, our paths, are technology,
this technology, everything that we have to serve you. We're
pre healing in our bodies and our hearts, minds, body,
(04:55):
soul and spirit, all sickness, all illness, all disease, and
that this world, our ancestry of the enemy, has done
to us. We put it under the blood. We call
it healed, and we walk in the freedom of that healing.
So right now we clear our minds all distractions, all
(05:15):
the cares of this day, all the things that are
weighing upon us, and we take the mind of Messiah.
We claim it, we believe and receive it so that
we can receive this word and do everything that you
desire us to do. And I pray all these things
in your Shoe's name. Amen.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
So we're still talking about permanent penta cost. Charles Spurgeon says,
without the Spirit of God, we can do nothing. We
are ships without wind or chariots without steeds, like branches
without sap. We are withered, like coals without fire. We
(06:36):
are useless. We don't want to be useless. We want
to be useful, and to do that we need to
be full of the Holy Spirit. We are either connected
to the Spirit or we are disconnected. Remember you, stu
have promised a power source, not sauce. That's something different.
(06:57):
Maybe he gave that to them, I don't know. Nobody
wrote it down, but a power source to the disciples
that they would receive power to witness after they received
the Holy Spirit. Received the spirit, Spirit gives them power
and they witness to the world with extraordinary results. So
(07:22):
that power from the Holy Spirit gave them strength beyond
the ordinary, gave them courage, gave them boldness and confidence,
gave them insight revelation, gave them ability and gave them
authority over the natural and the supernatural, and the disciples
needed all of these gifts, just as we do to
(07:44):
fulfill the mission. We see that in Acts chapter eight,
starting verse three, Saum had made havoc with the church.
He was entering every house and dragging off men and
women believers and committing them to prison. Therefore, those who
were scattered went everywhere preaching the word. Then Philip went
(08:09):
down to the city of Samaria and preached Messiah to them,
and the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken
by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did
for unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice came out
of many who were possessed, and many who were paralyzed
(08:31):
and lame were healed, and there was great joy in
that city. A Jew preaching to Samaritans was miracle enough.
That's the Holy Spirit in action. Jews and Samaritans hated
each other, but because of what Saul had done and
(08:52):
the enemy using him to destroy the church, he actually
spread the church. That's amazing thing about this fallen angel,
the adversary. Over and over and over he makes the
wrong decision. The Nelson Study Bible said, the Spirit of
(09:15):
God created a loving fellowship of believers out of the
hate that existed. The formation of the Samaritan Church indicates
that there is no room for racism in the church,
for you should had died for the sins of the
whole world. And we used to say back in the
day that the most segregated day of the week was Sunday,
(09:38):
because the blacks went to the Black church, and the
non blacks went to that church, and the Hispanics went
to this church, and everybody's got their church. When we
are the church. I'm so tired of hearing people talking
about going to the church, the church, this the church,
that if we could ever get it right and realize
(10:00):
that we are the church, we are the living organism
that He created to represent Him on this earth. Dilmudi said,
the Holy Spirit alone affects individual salvation through the new
birth and just one of the many vital works of
(10:20):
the Holy Spirit. There is no better evangelist in the
world than the Holy Spirit. So that's what Philip was
doing in Acts three. So you know what we're going
to talk about the work of the Holy Spirit. We're
going to talk about Pentecost and the effects of Pentecost.
We talked about the person of the Holy Spirit. Now
let's find out what he does. Well, in the beginning,
(10:44):
he was active and present at creation. Look at Genesis one,
starting with verse one. In the beginning, God created the
heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void,
and darkness was on the face of the deep, and
the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of
(11:08):
the waters up there. It is right in the beginning.
The Holy Spirit is in action with the Father. It
hovered over the face of the waters of this unformed earth,
meaning it was moving. That's what the hovered wasn't just
hanging out. You know, he's moving because the rorock, the spirit,
(11:33):
the breath is always in motion. It's never stagnant, it's
never still. And interestingly enough, there are two words there,
without form and void. The earth was without form and void.
But it expresses one concept in the Hebrew and that
(11:55):
is chaos. Now what happened here? Why is there chaos?
Why is the earth in a chaotic form? Well, somehow
it was reduced to that state. If we look at Jeremiah,
for starting with verse twenty three, I beheld the earth,
(12:18):
and indeed it was without form and void, and the
heavens they had no light. I beheld the mountains, and
indeed they trembled, and all the hills moved back and forth.
I beheld, and there was no man, and all the
birds of the heavens had fled. And I beheld, and
indeed the fruitful land was a wilderness, and all its
(12:41):
cities were broken down at the presence of the Lord
by his fierce anger. For thus says the Lord, the
whole land shall be desolate, Yet I will not make
a full end. Or was this a foreshadowing of to come?
Knowing speaking in a past sense, in a prophetic vision?
(13:02):
When did this happen? Something I believe and have taught
the years. Something happened between Genesis one one and Genesis
one two. It's called the gap theory. You can look
it up. Doctor Chuck Missler does a teaching on it,
and here's what he explains. According to doctor Missler, the
(13:24):
words without form and void tohu, the boohoo, and the
Hebrew seems to be a contradiction of a passage in
Isaiah Isaiah forty five eighteen. For thus says the Lord
who created the heavens, who is God, who formed the
earth and made it, who has established it, who did
(13:47):
not create it in vain, who formed it to be inhabited.
I am the Lord, and there is no other. So
when he created.
Speaker 3 (13:58):
It, it was in form It was not in vain,
it was not in chaos. So the description the description
they're in Genesis two one two bull us do Genesis
one two.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
Is in how he created it. Doctor Missler continues on
this thought. The conjecture is that between the first two
verses of the Bible, after the original creation, which included
the angels and of course therefore Satan, there was a
rebellion and a judgment of his principal domain, which was
the earth. We thus find Satan already fallen in Genesis three.
(14:45):
According to this view, the record following is simply a
reconstruction in the subsequent unfolding of God's plan of redemption. Now,
the reason I point this out is because what we
see is from beginning to end the Holy Spirit has
been on the same mission redemption. And the fact that
(15:06):
there was darkness biblically that is a symbol of evil
and all things wrong. Job three five may darkness and
shadow of death claim it may a cloud settle on it,
may the blackness of the day terrify it. Psalm one
forty three, verses three and four. For the enemy has
persecuted my soul. He has crushed my life to the ground.
(15:28):
He has made me dwell in darkness. Though like those
who have been long dead. Therefore my spirit is overwhelmed
within me. My heart within me is distressed from the
word of the Lord himself. From John three, verses eighteen
and nineteen. He who believes in him is not condemned.
He who does not believe is condemned already because he
(15:51):
has not believed in the name of the only begotten
Son of God. Now look what he says, and this
is the condemnation. That the light come into the world,
and men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds
were evil. Could he have been referring back to then
He was there in the beginning with God. See all
(16:15):
these images put together putray chaos. They portrayed disaster and devastation.
And from this portrait of utter ruin God brought an
orderly creation. The spirit of God was hovering like a
mother stork might hover over her nest, a portent of
(16:36):
life to come from the dark, murky depths of the
chaos below. Wow. Now, the reason I began with this
is to show you that since the beginning, the Holy
Spirit is the agent of correction and redemption. And then
(16:59):
if we look at verse three of Genesis one, then
God said, let there be light. And there was light,
and God saw the light, and it was good. And
God divided the light from the darkness. God called the
light day, the darkness he called night. And so the
evening and the morning were the first death. And then
(17:22):
each verse and God set. Then God set, let there
be So the principal theme, the initial theme of the
Bible is God bringing light into the world. We see
that in Isaiah nine, verse two, and the prophetic word
(17:44):
of coming of the Messiah. The people who walked in
darkness have seen a great light. Those who dwelt in
the land of the shadow of depth upon them light
has shined. And then Johnny twelve, the Lord declares, I
am the Light of the world. He who follows me
shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.
(18:05):
And in the end there will be no darkness at all.
Revelation twenty one, starting verse twenty two. But I saw
no temple in it talking about the new Jerusalem. For
the Lord God Almighty, in the lamb are its temple.
The city had no need of the sun or of
(18:26):
the moon to shine in it, for the glory of
God illuminated. The lamb is its light. Then God said
eight more times in Genesis one, that's the new beginning,
that's the new beginning, out of the chaos, out of
the destruction, which I believe is an example of our
(18:47):
lives before we got saved, as an example of humanity
after Adam fell. It's all about the spirit, the movement
of the spirit, the power of the Holy Spirit, the
presence of the Holy Spirit, Job twenty six thirteen. By
his spirit he adorned the heavens. By his hand he
(19:10):
pierced the fleeing serpent Psalm thirty three six. By the
word of the Lord, the heavens were made, and all
the host of them, by the breadth of his mouth,
he spoke them all into existence. The angels were not created,
they were not hand formed like we were. That was
spoken into existence Psalm one of four, verse thirty. You
(19:35):
send forth your spirit, they are created, and you renew
the face of the earth. I believe that's referring back
to Genesis, and then the beginning of John starting verse one,
and the beginning was the Word, and the Word was
with God, and the Word was God. Talking about Yeshiah,
he was in the beginning with God. All things were
(19:58):
made through him, and without him nothing was made that
was made. I believe in that in the concept of
the Father and the Son and the Spirit. Simplest way
to understand it is the Father thought it, the Lord
said it, Spirit did it. He was eleven three. By faith,
(20:21):
we understand that the worlds were framed by the word
of God, so that the things which are seen were
not made of things which are visible. Quantum physics, that's
what that is. By faith. By faith, by faith, we
understand that the worlds during the successive ages were framed,
(20:43):
They were fashioned, they were put in order out of
that cha equipped for their intended purpose by the word
of God, so that what we see was not made
out of things which are visible. Let there be spoken,
so we see right away the Holy Spirit and the
(21:05):
spoken word of the Lord of the creative power of
the universe. That's why this is so important. That's why
he said, hey, I have got to go. It's better
for you if I go down fifteen twenty six. But
(21:25):
when the helper comes, whom I shall send to you
from the Father, the Spirit of Truth, who proceeds from
the Father, he will testify of me. I emphasize every time,
every emphasize, I'm sorry, and get a little excited. Here.
That word proceeds and the Greek means emanates from So
(21:48):
this Holy Spirit that we're talking about that the Lord
sent back is literally the manifestation, the emanation of God
given to us through the Lord sitting at his right hand.
That's the connective agent. That's how we are connected to
(22:11):
the Father. And the spirit goes back and forth. Actually
it's an eternal loop. Behold, I send the promise of
my Father upon you, but tarian the city of Jerusalem
until you are endued with power from on high. Look
twenty four forty nine. If you can get this, if
you can begin to see this, you'll see these scriptures
(22:34):
in a way that you've never seen them before. That
promise emanating from the Father, in doing us, marking us,
soaking into us Acts one to eight, you shall receive
power dunamus. When the Holy Spirit has come upon you
(22:55):
shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem in all Judea
and Samaria to the end of the earth. This is
what you will be doing with the power that I
give you. You're going to be my witness in Jerusalem,
jude and Samaria and to the end of the earth.
That power, that dunamus, which in the Greek means power
(23:18):
ability physical or moral, as residing in a person or
a thing, as power in action, like in putting forth
performing miracles. It occurs one hundred and eighteen times in
the New Testament. In that fashion, it denotes an inherent
(23:40):
authority and ability of capability to perform anything, the ability
to act or produce or even reproduce an effect. We
possess the controlling influence of God, the power to effect
(24:01):
and influence events or people. We are manifesting His influence
over reality in a supernatural manner. Remember what I said,
We were designed to be naturally supernatural. That dunamus, that
power is distinguished different from exusia, which is the right
(24:26):
to exercise power. He gave us the power, and then
he gave us the right to use his power. All
power and ever and on earth has been given unto me.
Therefore go, and that application of this definition applied to
the Lord's ministry Luked four fourteen. Then Yeshuot were returned
(24:48):
in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, the stepth
of the Temptation in the desert, in the wilderness, and
news of him went out through all the surrounding region. Well,
of course it did, because he was doing things that
someone had never done before. Acts ten thirty eight. Have
God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and
(25:13):
with power, who went about doing good and healing all
who were oppressed by the devil. For God was with
him and in the work with the church. Acts four
thirty two. Now the multitude of those who believed were
of one heart, one soul. Neither did anyone say that
any of the things he possessed was his own. But
(25:37):
they had all things in common, and with great power,
with great denimus, the Holy Spirit through the apostles gave
witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. I don't
know you shure, And great grace was upon them all.
That kind of grace is supernatural. Verse Corinthians one, Verses
(26:02):
seventeen and eighteen. For Messiah did not send me to baptize,
but to preach the Gospel, not with the wisdom of words,
lest the Cross of Messiah should be made of no effect.
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those
who are perishing, but to us who are being saved,
it is the power of God. That's why. Later on
(26:27):
in Romans one sixteen, Paul says, for I am not
ashamed of the Gospel of Messiah, for it is the
power of God to salvation. What's the power? It's of God.
What's its purpose? Salvation? The power of God to salvation
for everyone who believes, for the jew first and also
(26:47):
for the Greek. So scripture tells us that the same
dunamus that equipped the disciples to spread the Gospel, and
the same dunamis that raise Messiah from the dead, has
taken up residence inside every believer when the Holy Spirit
comes to live inside of us. Are you getting that?
(27:13):
Do you understand it? Look at Ephesians one, starting verse seventeen,
that the God of our Lord, Jesus, the Messiah, the
Father of Glory, may give to you the spirit of
wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. Where can
that come from? Through the Holy Spirit, that the eyes
of your understanding being enlightened that you may know. What
(27:38):
is the hope of his calling, What are the riches
of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And
what is the exceeding greatness of his power towards us
who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
which he worked in Messiah when he raised him from
the dead and seated him at the right held in
(28:00):
the heavenly places, far above all principality and power, and
might and dominion and every name that is named, not
only in this age but also in that which is
to come Ephesians three twenty. Now to him who is
able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask
(28:20):
or think, according to the power that works in us.
Look at that the power that works in us. Corey
Tenboom said, trying to do the Lord's work in your
own strength is the most confusing, exhausting, and tedious of
(28:43):
all work. But when you are filled with the Holy Spirit,
then the ministry of Jesus just flows out of you,
flows movement. What flows out of us must be of
Him and not anything from us. And sometimes to do that,
(29:08):
to make sure that that happens, he will send a
thorn in our flesh. It's interesting that this scripture would
come up and the Lord would use it today, because
Larry and I've been talking about the challenges and the
things that go on that in our health or in
our life, that keep us humble. Paul says in two
(29:30):
Corinthians twelve thirty, verse seven, and lest I should be
exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, A
thorn in the flesh was given to me a messenger
of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above nate,
above measure. Concerning this thing, I pleaded with the Lord
(29:51):
three times that it might depart from me, and he said,
my grace is sufficient for you, for my is made
perfect in weakness. Therefore, most gladly, I will rather boast
in my infirmities that the power of Messiah may rest
upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities and reproaches,
(30:14):
and needs, in persecutions and distresses, for Messiah's sake, For
when I am weak, then I am strong. This is
a tough Nobody wants to hear that. Nobody wants to hear.
It's going to be tough. Nobody wants to hear it.
You're gonna suffer. There's gonna be pain. Look at what
(30:39):
he said to Paul. My grace, my favor, and loving
kindness and mercy is enough for you. It's sufficient against
any danger and enables you to bear the trouble manfully.
For my strength and power are made perfect, they are fulfilled,
they are completed, and show themselves most effective in your weakness.
(31:07):
And Paul's thought, well, therefy will all the more gladly
glory in my weaknesses and infirmities, that the strength and
power of the Messiah may rest. And he meant, like
pitch a tent over and dwell upon me. That ties
(31:27):
into my prayer. That scripture, Lord be a shield about me,
and the glory in the lifter of my head cover me,
hover over me that Psalm ninety one under getting under
his wings and the shadow of his wings. He keeps
us humble. But in talking about this flow, and in
(31:51):
talking about the spirit moving through him as it does
through us, he reminded me of the woman with the
issue of blood in Mark chapter five. So go with me.
In Mark five, start verse twenty five. Now a certain
woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, meaning
(32:14):
she was menstruating the whole time, twelve years NonStop, and
had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent
all that she had and was no better, but rather
grew worse. Oh jee, that hasn't changed very much, has it?
First twenty seven? When she heard about Yeshuah, she came
(32:34):
behind him in the crowd and touched his garment, hiszeat
seat at the end of his talit. For she said,
of only I may touch his clothes, I shall be
made well. She knew enough to know that they represented
the promises of God, so she grabbed hold of the promises,
(32:55):
and immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up,
and she felt it in her body that she was
healed of the affliction Verse thirty. And you show immediately,
knowing in himself that power had gone out of him,
turned around in the crowd and said, who touched my clothes?
(33:16):
But his disciples said to him, you see the multitude
thronging you, and you say, who touched me? And he
looked around to see her who had done this thing?
But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened
to her, came down and fell.
Speaker 4 (33:34):
Down before him. And told him the whole truth. And
he said to her, daughter, your faith has made you well.
Go in peace and be healed of your affliction. Now
(33:56):
why was she so afraid?
Speaker 1 (33:57):
Well, besides the fact she touched him without his This
issue of blood had made her unclean. And if anybody
in the crowd had recognized who she was, of course
she's bumping up against them at the same time. They
could have stoned her, They could have put her to death,
and she risked it all to grab a hold of
(34:19):
the promises. See this miracle, just like all the miracles
of the Lord, are intended to authenticate his message and
to demonstrate the true nature of who He was and
who we are in him. And we should be careful
(34:42):
to stand guard against the temptation to view supernatural activity
as an end in itself. It's not. Healing is the end,
Restoration is the end, Salvation is the end. Deliverance is
the end. But everybody wants the external. They want to
(35:02):
see me, see what I can do, See what he
does through me. The Spirit flowed through him, she touched him.
The spirit flowed a connection. Her need meant has met
his ability to fill her need. The spirit is constantly moving,
(35:27):
it's alive, and it's effective. That's what this is all about.
That's why I'm staying on this week after week, so
that you can be moving and alive and effective. Well,
you could say to me, old Richard, I'm suffering from this.
I could spend a good time right now tell you
(35:49):
what I suffer from, what's going on in my body,
what's going on in our life. But I'm not going
to do that. I'm going to tell you about him
and what he can do. He can meet all of
our needs. And in the midst of allowing us to
(36:10):
experience these things, perfect us, form us, shine us up
a bit, keep us humble. Spirit's always moving. It's what
you shool. We tried to get Nicodemus to understand John
chapter three, starting verse six. That which is born of
(36:32):
the flashes flash. That's it. It's flash came out of
a woman born that way. But that which is born
of the spirit. Spirit, do not marvel that I said
to you, you must be born again. The wind blows
where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it.
I cannot tell where it comes from, comes from, excuse me,
(36:54):
and where it goes. So is everyone who was born
of the spirit. If you've never felt the spirit flow
through you, it's difficult to understand the first time it
happened to me way back when, at the beginning of ministering,
(37:16):
I laid hands on somebody, put my hand up towards
Heaven to pray for them, and it was like a
current went through my hand, threw me into them and
they felt it. But now, and I'm not saying that
doesn't happen that way anymore, But now I've learned that
(37:36):
to be like ishure, that spirit, that power has to
be resident inside of me. And I am a capacitor
waiting for that power to go out to be used.
And I'm constantly replacing it from the power source through prayer,
(37:57):
through praise, praying in my prayer language, praying tongues, getting
before the Lord, getting under my prayers, shawl, whatever it
takes to keep me plugged in. The Other thing about
the Holy Spirit, this power that we're talking about, it
(38:17):
regenerates the believer. Remember, we were once dead and now
we are alive. We were living, walking, talking zombies of death.
Then we got born again and we're alive. Titus three,
starting verses with verses five and six, he saved us
(38:43):
not because of any works of righteousness. Righteousness, yeah, I'm
trying to get a hold of my tongue here. He
saved us not because of any works of righteousness that
we had done, but because of his own pity and
(39:04):
mercy by the cleansing bath of the new birth, regeneration
and renewing of the Holy Spirit, which he boored out
so richly upon us through Jesus the Messiah, our Savior.
According to his mercy, he saved us, and then he
(39:24):
washed us clean. He regenerated us, renewed us by the
power of the Holy Spirit, which he poured out upon
us from the day of Pentecost to now in abundance,
not holding anything back. I think the flow of the
spirit we restricted by our choices, by our words, by
(39:49):
things we do. But that's what he promphesied. He said
it through Ezekiel Ezekiel thirty six, starting verse twenty six.
I will give you a new heart and put a
new spirit within you. I will take the heart of
(40:09):
stone out of your flesh and give you a heart
of flesh. I will put my spirit within you and
cause you to walk in my statutes, and you will
keep my judgment judgments and do them. Then you shall
dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers.
You shall be my people, and I will be your God.
(40:32):
But now, through the infilling of the Holy Spirit, we
can walk in His statutes. We can walk in His rules.
We can walk in His regulations not out of compulsion
of fear, but as a natural byproduct of our relationship
with him. The Holy Spirit sanctifies the believer so that
(40:56):
we can do everything I just said. Second, that's Malonians
chapter two, starting verse thirteen. But we are bound to
give thanks to God always for you, brethren, beloved by
the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for
salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the
(41:19):
truth to which He called you by our gospel, for
the obtaining of the glory of our Lord, Jesus the
Messiah y Suah Hamasiakh. Because God chose us from the
beginning to be his first fruits, his first converts for
(41:41):
salvation through the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit and
our belief in adherence to trust in and reliance upon
the truth capital t What is the Holy Spirit, the
Spirit of truth? What is you sue of the way,
the truth and the life. If you're struggling with this,
(42:05):
if you're struggling with this concept of the Holy Spirit,
I want to know him. I don't understand him. I
don't move in these gifts. I don't do this, I
don't do that. Then get back to basics. Just sit
there and pray. Say Lord, I want to understand. I
want to understand your spirit. I want to feel your spirit.
(42:28):
And if there's anything unclean in me, if there's anything
in me hindering, hindering a free flow of the spirit,
take it out of me, break it off of me,
burn it off of me if need be. I want
to feel your presence. I want to feel that flow
(42:49):
of the spirit that Richard's talking about. I want to
lay hands on the sick and they'll recover. I want
to speak a word that heels a broken heart. I
want to have revelation, knowledge, a word of wisdom. I
want to produce the fruit of the spirit. I want
(43:15):
to be like you were, Lord. If you pray that
from your heart, he will do it. So that day,
on the day of Pentecost, the first day, the beginning
of the Church, the first message of the church, first
in tongues, and then Peter's message. The Spirit had to
(43:39):
give them utterance. The Spirit didn't speak through them, but
gave them the ability to speak. Now, of course, there
are some that say, well, they spoke in a known language.
Others believe they know they spoke spoke in an unknown
language that neither they knew, but the people heard them
(44:03):
in their own voice. Whatever, however you want to take it,
I take it that it was an unknown language. That's
why it was so dramatic. It wasn't just that they
were speaking the languages of the people in the town.
I mean, come on, even that's pretty miraculous. One hundred
and twenty in the upper room speaking every language in town.
To make sure that everybody heard the gospel message and
(44:24):
understood it. The Spirit gave them utterance, just like he
willed you. If he needs you to speak to somebody,
he will tell you what to say. He will give
you the words. They were filled with the Holy Spirit
(44:47):
began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave
them utterance. They were all filled. It was diffused through
their souls, It was flowing through them. The fire came down,
touched them and went out through them, and continued to
go out through them, and continued to build the Church
(45:07):
of Believers that it would go out through and Satan
got scared. The hearty he tried to put out the
fire the more he spread it. So he figured, the
only way I'm going to put this fire out is
just smothered. I'm to make sure it doesn't burn at all.
It took him three hundred years, but he got it done.
(45:33):
Burn burn in me, Lord, burn in me a perpetual
flame that the enemy cannot put out. John fourteen seventeen.
The Lord said the spirit of truth, whom the world
cannot receive because it neither sees him nor knows him.
(45:57):
But you know him, for he dwells with you and
will be in you. Look at that last part. Dwells
with you and will be in you. Where is he?
Where is this spirit I'm talking about in you? John
reiterates that in First Down two twenty seven. But the
(46:18):
anointing which you have received from Him abides in you,
and you do not need that anyone teach you. But
the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true,
and it's not a lie. Just as has taught you,
you will abide in him. If the Spirit's in you,
(46:39):
then you will understand, you will learn, you will receive,
and you'll be able to give it away again. Where
is the Holy Spirit in you? What is he doing?
He's abiding? What does abide mean? Permanent residence? He's not
going anywhere, And because of that it allows him to
(47:04):
use you for intercession. Now, everybody listening the part of
the ports community. And I don't really know how many
we have. It comes, you know, I can only go
by what who will interact with me, and so I
don't really know. I'm not even going to try to
put a number on it. But you can intercede for
(47:29):
everybody without even knowing who they are. Look at Romans eight,
verses twenty six and twenty seven. I'll reach you the
amplified version. So too, the Holy Spirit comes to our
aid and bears us up in our weaknesses. But we
do not know what to pray for, no how to
(47:50):
offer it worthily as we ought. But the Spirit himself
goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf
with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance beyond words.
Can't even he can't even describe it. But he who
searches the hearts of men, knows what is the mind
(48:14):
of the Holy Spirit, what his intent is. Because the
Spirit intercedes and pleads before God in behalf of the
saints and according to and in harmony with God's will.
The Spirit can use you through groaning, through prayers, through
(48:36):
your prayer language. He'll wake you up. Say pray for it.
Pray for this person, pray for that person. Well, I
don't know what to pray, Lord, just pray. The Spirit
will groan through you, will plead through you, will petition
(48:57):
the throne through you. Open yourself up to it. Be
a conduit, receive it, and then let it pour. Let
it flow through you, just as we've talked about and
all the other illustrations. Let the Spirit flow through you.
(49:21):
Because someone thirty nine verses one through three, David says,
Oh Lord, you have searched me and known me. You
know my sitting down and my rising up. You understand
my thought far off. You comprehend my path and my
lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. Spirit knows.
(49:45):
He knows, the Father knows, the son knows, the Spirit knows.
Just to clarify, the NFC Study Bible says this might
refer to speech that does not take the form of
human language, such as and believers uncertain of what to
pray utter meaningless sounds and prayer. I don't think they're meaningless.
(50:07):
It's probably a poor definition. They're new living translation Bible.
The groanings in question are the spirits, not ours. When
we don't know how to pray, the Spirit is interceding
for us before God. I believe if the spirit's doing it,
it's never meaningless, just not understandable. Because of everything I'm
(50:36):
talking about, this inside out, this manifestation, this presence, we're
living in a very unique way. We're living in this
ongoing tension between the already of redemption and then not
(50:56):
yet of the glory that is to be revealed. We're
walking in part of it, but we don't have all
of it. Amazing time that we're in the church age
to have part of the redemption, the spiritual part of it,
(51:19):
not the physical. The glory that's yet to be revealed,
is wonderful, beyond comprehension, beyond anything we could think or imagine.
So when we walk in this tension, if you will,
Romans eight nine through eleven says, but you are not
(51:40):
in the flesh, but in the spirit. If indeed, the
Spirit of God dwells in you. Now, if anyone does
not have the spirit of Messiah, he is not his.
And if Messiah is in you, the body is dead
because of sin, but the spirit is life because of righteousness.
(52:00):
But if the spirit of Him who raised Yore from
the dead dwells in you, he who raised Messiah from
the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies
through his spirit who dwells in you. That could be
your prayer. Say, Lord, read this scripture to yourself. Read
(52:26):
it out aloud. The same spirit in me raised you
from the dead. And I desire for that spirit on
the inside of me, which has taken permanent residence in me,
(52:49):
to give life to my mortal body, to quicken my
mortal body, to change whatever it is that's wrong inside
of me. I prayed that today, Lord, dealing with these
issues of the heart or bones or whatever that's going on,
whatever organ that you're dealing with, Lord, that's not how
(53:13):
you created it. This is not your intention. Therefore, I
pray right now that it would go back to its
divine design. That whatever has happened, whether from the world,
from the enemy from our own choices. We repent, we
put them under the blood, and we speak life, abundant life,
(53:39):
we speak healing. This is usually when the Spirit will
take over and start praying for you through you, because
without that there is no possible way you can live
a life producing fruit of the spirit. There's just no way.
(54:02):
You can't do anything without him helping you to do it.
That's so crazy. You're praying, Lord, bless me so that
I can do this for you. Basically, I can't do
this without your Lord. I want to do this for you,
but I need you to send the provision. I need
you to open the doors. I need you to help
(54:23):
me get it done. What are you believing for? What
is it that you are praying for? Are you believing
for it? Are you believing that he can do it?
Are you believing that he is as good as his word?
(54:47):
I want to produce fruit for him because the fruit
of the Holy Spirit, the work which is presence within us, accomplishes.
Is love. It's joy, you know that, Gladness, it's peace,
it's patience, having an even temper forbearance. It's kindness, it's goodness,
(55:07):
being benevolent, it's faithfulness, it's gentleness, being meek and humble,
self controlled against such things. There is no law that
can bring a charge. And those who belong to the
Messiah have crucified the flesh, the godless human nature, with
(55:28):
its passions and appetites and desires. If we live by
the Holy Spirit, let us walk by the Holy Spirit.
If by this Holy Spirit we have our life in God,
then let's go forward walking in line, our conduct controlled
by the Holy Spirit, living and walking in and by
the Holy Spirit. That was Glatians five twenty two through
(55:51):
twenty five, with the amplified version, which with a little
bit of a Richard grun spin to it. Do that
without the Holy Spirit in the natural, that's just not
us us, It's not our nature, whether human or personal.
(56:13):
We need the strength. We need it now. The harvest
is great, and the labors a few pray the Lord
of the harvest, the Lord. We want to be a
part of the harvest. We want to get out there
and work strengthen us in the inner being. Lord Paul
(56:39):
understood that Paul struggled with physical infirmities, problem with his eyes.
He had other things going on too. They were beaten,
they were imprisoned, the enemy was doing everything he could
to stop them, and the harder he tried, the more
(57:02):
successful they became. That's why I think he says in
Phesians three, starting verse fourteen, for this reason, I bow
my knees to the Father of our Lord, Jesus, the Messiah,
from whom the whole family and heaven, in heaven and
earth is named, that he would grant you, according to
(57:24):
the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might
same word Dunamus through his spirit in the inner man,
that Messiah may dwell in your hearts through faith, that you,
being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to
comprehend with all the saints. What is the width and length,
(57:48):
and depth and height to know the love of Messiah
which passes knowledge? That you may be filled with all
the fullness of God, rooted and grounded, not just in
any love, it's in lafe love for Him, a love
of Him, and love from Him. Only pray that over
you may He grants you out of the rich treasury
(58:12):
of His glory, to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty
power in the inner man inner woman, by the Holy
Spirit himself in dwelling your innermost being and personality, that
you may be filled through all your being, until the
(58:35):
fullness of God may have the richest measure of the
Divine presence, and that you would become a body wholly
filled and flooded with God himself. Say Amen, Say amen,
go ahead. And then finally the spirit to help us do.
(58:57):
All of this inspired the writing of Scripture two Timothy three,
Verses sixteen and seventeen. All scripture is given by inspiration
of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction,
(59:19):
for instruction in righteousness, that the man or woman person
of God may be complete thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Every scripture God breathed, given by inspiration, breathed out by
God's own speech, and profitable for instruction, for conviction of sin,
(59:46):
for correction of error and discipline in obedience, and for
training in righteousness and holy living in conformity to God's
will and thought, purpose and action. God breathed. It's alive.
The Word of God is living and powerful, sharper than
(01:00:08):
any two edged sword, piercing even to the division of
soul and spirit and of joints and marriw and is
the discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart
Hebrew four twelve. The word that God speaks is alive,
and it is full of power, dunamous wonder working power.
(01:00:30):
It's making it active, making it operative, energized and effective. Jeez,
that where we started and God said, let there be
the word of God was alive. It brought life, It
was active, it was energized, and it was effective. Took
(01:00:53):
something that was dead in darkness and chaotic and reformed it,
just like he does in us, Just like he does
in each one of us when we get born again,
when we turn our lives over to him. Let me
close with something Smith Weiglesworth said, And if you don't
(01:01:13):
know who he is, worried about him. Very interesting man,
powerful signs and wonders, I mean, amazing miracles. But he
had a thorn in his side. He had kidney stones
that could drop him to the floor at a moment's notice.
And there was stories of him preaching and miracles happening,
and he's going and the next thing boom, he's down
(01:01:35):
on the floor, curled up in a fetal position from
the pain that a stone had shifted. And his wife
would run up there and keep preaching till he could
get back on his feet. Smith Weigelsworth said, some of
you just need to just take a step, calm down
right now and listen. Enter into the promises of God.
(01:02:02):
It's your inheritance. You will do more in one year,
if you are really filled with the Holy Ghost, than
you could in fifty years apart from him. Enter into
the promises, Enter into your inheritance. It's yours if you
(01:02:23):
want it. I know I do. I want the fullness.
I want all that He has for me. I understand
the price, I understand all that comes with it. I've
lived it, I've experienced it. I know there's more to come,
but I want it all. I want the fullness. I
want to be healed. I want to be whole, so
(01:02:47):
that I can run and not grow wear you, I
can walk and not faint, that I can rise up
with wings as eagles, above the storm, above the clouds,
above the enemy, above everything that's come my way, so
that I can out there, set the captives, free, lay
hands on the sick, raise the dead, to do all
these things in His name for his glory. Father. Ah,
(01:03:13):
But Papa, Daddy, I cry out to you, on our behalf.
I cry out to you, on our behalf, with my
hands towards heaven, and I plead with you, and I
(01:03:35):
beseech you to stir up the fire that is in
us and make it grow, Pour out the oil upon it.
Let it grow, anoint us, heal us, change us, so
that we can burn in the darkness. We can shine
the light. We can break the chains and open the
(01:03:56):
prison doors and set the captives free. And you name
for your glory. Now we could be living examples of
who you are to a people that have seen and
heard a lot of religion and a lot of counterfeit
words and deeds, and seen things that are an embarrassment
(01:04:19):
to you. But Lord, let us show them the real deal.
Let us show them the truth. Let us be you.
Be your truth, be your life, be your light. Holy
Spirit moved through us, move in us, stir us up.
We give you the right and the authority to do
(01:04:40):
everything you need to do. We let go of everything
that has hindered us or held us back. If there's
anyone we haven't forgiven, Lord, show us by faith right now,
we forgive them. If we've committed any sins and known
or unknown, we pray for your forgiveness and put them
under the blood, that you would forget them and the
(01:05:00):
enemy could not use them against us. Let the fire flow, Lord,
Let it go through our hands, through our eyes, through
our words, and through our heart. And I pray all
these things by faith in your name, the name above
(01:05:25):
all names. You sure a hammer Shiah, Jesus the Messiah,
King of Kings and Lord of lords. Amen. May the
Lord bless you and keep you. May I don't I.
May the Lord make his face to shine upon you
and be gracious to you. May the Lord I don't know,
(01:05:48):
you're sure a Hammasiah, Jesus the Messiah, lift up his
countenance upon you and give you peace. Give you shall oam.
