Speaker 1 (00:22):
Hello, Welcome to the Porch on Firefall Talk Radio. I'm
Richard grind This is when we get back to basics,
the uncompromised red letter basics of the Word of God.
We focused on the Book of Acts Church to see
how they served the Lord. In doing so, we find
the Church the Lord intended and not the one Man

(00:44):
created the Porch of a non denominational, full gospel approach
to the Bible based on the examples from the Book
of as Church, and the Porch aims to restore the
priesthood of the believer while regaining the world's shaking influence
that the early Church had. The Church age is not over.

(01:09):
The Upper Room experience is as much for today as
it was on the day of Pentecost. It's yours if
you want it. We offer you the Word as the
Apostles would have to the Jewish and gentile believers of
their day. We use both Yeshuah and Jesus when speaking
of the Lord. We prefer to use the term Messiah

(01:30):
rather than Christ, as it more accurately reflects how he
was referred to by those who knew him. Additionally, we
will provide definitions in Hebrew and Greek and aramaic when necessary.
Getting back to basics isn't just our motto. It's a
mandate from the Lord and we take it seriously. Links

if you need more information. We appreciate you. We appreciate

(02:36):
your support, your encouragement, your prayers. Thank you for being
a part of the Porch each week for all these years.
If you need prayer, let us know. We'd like to
pray for you, and we'd like to get others to
pray for you. If you'd like to be someone who
prays for people, we can plug you in pray for
continued health and healing. As we get over as sicknesses, illnesses, injuries, surgeries.

(03:03):
It's a lot of people hurting right now, and they
need our prayers, like our persecuted brothers and sisters around
the world who were being slaughtered for their faith. Please
do not forget them. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem,
which means the return of the Prince of Peace. We
need the return of the King to straighten everything out.

(03:28):
So Father Abah Papa, we come to you and the
name above all names, and the name of your only
begotten son, Yeshiah Jesus of Nazareth, the one whom you
sent to die on our behalf. Thank you for that
kind of love that you would do that for us.
We didn't deserve it, but you wanted it. You wanted

(03:50):
to spend eternity with your children. Thank you Lord for
doing it, for accepting the assignment, for enduring the pain,
the torture, everything that they did to you that day,
every drop of blood, shedding everything inside of you, after
they had shredded everything outside of you and nailed you

(04:15):
to a cross. Thank you for being alive, for rising
from the dead on that third day and showing the
world you weren't a dead Prophet, you're a risen savior,
you are Messiah. Well, thank you for sending back the
Holy Spirit Irua ka Kadesh to walk with us, to
teach us, to guide us, to help us. It's Holy Spirit,

(04:38):
that's what we ask right now. We pray that you'd
help us. Understand. We pray that you'd help us receive.
We take our thoughts captive to the obedience of Messiah.
We claim the mind of Messiah, casting down every vain
imagination that would exalt itself above the knowledge of ely
on God most high hour. Abba, Father, protect us a

(05:02):
homes lands, family's, pet's possession. Thank you for all that
you've given us. Thank you for giving me my family
back after I'd throw them away. Most of all, thank
you for giving me my soul back, my spirit to
be born again. Have my name written in the Lamb's
book of life. Protect us. Let your will be done,

(05:23):
Holy Spirit. Do whatever it is you want to do.
This is your time, This is your assignment with us
to receive, to take it and apply it. And I
pray all these things in your Shoe's name. And if
you agree with me, say amen.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
Okay, open those bibles, however, you follow along. If you
have access to the list of scriptures, there's a place
to take notes at the bottom. Make sure you're not
just listening, but learning and then applying. So talking spiritual warfare,
we'll talk about spiritual warfare and the war zone. What

(06:44):
is a war zone? Well, in the biblical sense, it
refers to both physical and spiritual battles. It highlights the
ongoing conflict between good and evil. I've seen in various
scriptures that discuss warfare from that percentive, both in the
context of nations and the spiritual struggles that believers face.

(07:09):
Guess what if nobody's told you there are struggles. We
live in a war zone. And if we're righteous, in
right relationship with Him and walking in the spirit not
the flesh, we're protected, we're surrounded, we're untouched. But if
we walk outside of his covering, we are fair game

(07:31):
to the enemy and we are in danger. First war
zone was in heaven when Satan and his angels werebelled
and were kicked out of heaven. I'm sure it wasn't
done nicely, and that was the start of an ongoing
war and earth became a war zone. We see so

(07:54):
many instances referring to victory and overcome and struggles. You know,
look at first John, chapter five. I'll give you verse
four and nineteen. This is the amplified for everyone born
of God is victorious and overcomes the world. We need

(08:15):
marching music. Everyone that is born of God is victorious
and overcomes the world. And this is the victory that
has conquered and overcome the world. Our continuing persistent faith
in your shield of the Son of God. We know
for a fact that we are of God, and the

(08:38):
whole world around us lies in the power of the
evil One opposing God and his precepts. See. John uses
the Greek neuter for the word everyone to underscore the
fact that all who have been born again, regardless of
gender or age, is victorious over the world when we

(09:04):
are in God. It also indicates an adversarial relationship with
the world because it is the domain of the evil One,
and we know that phrase refers to hociton, to Satan,
the adversary, and by implication, the fallen and all that

(09:27):
serve him. She was said in John fifteen nineteen. If
you belonged to the world, the world would love you,
would love you as its own, and would treat you
with affection. Look at that. If you were of the world,

(09:47):
if you belong to the world, the world would love
you and treat you with affection. But you are not
of the world. You no longer belong to it because I,
he says, have chosen you out of the world. And
because of this, the world hates you. Once you become

(10:10):
born again, once your name is written in the Lamb's
Book of life, once you are marked by the blood,
you have become an enemy. Oh, I don't want to
be an enemy, Richard. I just want to have my
ticket to heaven. I just want to I just want
to go about my life here and be ready when

(10:30):
he comes to get me. Sorry, that's not how it
played out. That's not what scripture says. Anyone telling you
that there's no warfare, there's nothing to fight, there's nothing
to do, has put you in danger. And I will
never do that. I will never put you in danger.

(10:51):
One Corinthians two, verse twelve. Now we have received not
the spirit of the world, but the Holy Spirit, who
is from God, so that we may know and understand
the wonderful things freely given to us by God. The
spirit of the world, it's not nebulous, that's not you know.

(11:13):
What does that mean? It means nothing? What does mean something?
The spirit of the world is the spirit of the
evil one two Corinthians four to four. Among them, the
God of this world, Satan, has blinded the minds of
the unbelieving to prevent them from seeing the illuminating light

(11:37):
of the Gospel of the glory of Messiah, who is
the image of God. The God of this world is Satan,
and I know there are believers that have a hard
time with that. Well, God is the God of this world.
No scripture clearly says that the God of this world
is Satan. Now, when the Lord comes back and he
takes full dominion, he has taken spiritual but he has

(12:01):
not taken the natural dominion over the earth until then.
The earth belongs to Satan. And that's why we are
in danger. That's why we live in a war zone.
Ephesians two, verse two. In which you once walked. You
were following the ways of the world influenced by this

(12:21):
present age and accordance with the prints of the power
of the air. Satan the spirit who is now at
work in the disobedient, the unbelieving, who fight against the
purposes of God. So does that mean Satan is individually
targeting everybody. No, no, no, no no. There's a network

(12:42):
of fallen angels and demonic spirits, all working under the
same agenda to do the same thing. So just because
you're being attacked, it doesn't necessarily mean that it's Satan
himself attacking them. More than likely it's not. But that's

(13:04):
what he says in the Bible. One of the things
you have to remember, especially if the Lord is speaking,
he's speaking to people in a specific geographic area. And
since Satan wants to be worshiped as God, he wants Jerusalem,

(13:26):
he wants the Temple mount. He wants once that temple
is built, to walk in there and declare himself as God.
So therefore he has a very specific geographic focus. But
that doesn't mean the rest of the world is not
being affected. No, there are princes in all the various areas,

(13:49):
and they have those serving under them. The kingdom of
darkness is very vast. It's a giant network. It has
a high mind. Since they can't all be in the
same place at once. They're not omniscient, they're not omni present,
but they're all plugged in Ephesian six twelve. For our

(14:09):
struggles not against flesh and blood, contending only with physical opponents,
but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world
forces of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of
wickedness in the heavenly supernatural places. When we broke down

(14:30):
the armor of God in all those weeks, and we
explained all that for different areas of demonic power, from
high up to low, each having an area of responsibility,
each having an assignment. First Thessalonians five six. So then

(14:50):
let us not sleep in spiritual indifference, as the rest
of the world does. But let us keep wide awake,
alert and cautious, and let us be sober, self controlled, calm.
And if we add to that first John two fifteen
through seventeen, we see and do not love the world

(15:14):
of sin that opposes God and his precepts, nor the
things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world.
The love of the Father is not in them. For
all that is in the world, the lust and sensual
craving of the flesh, the lust and longing of the eyes,
and the boastful pride of life, pretentious confidence in one's

(15:37):
resources or in the stability of earthly things, these do
not come from the Father, but are from the world,
which means they are satanically inspired. The world is passing
away and with it its lust, the shameful pursuits and
ungodly longings. But the one who does the will of

(15:59):
God and carries out his purposes will live forever. They
will not pass away. The Kingdom of God will not
pass away. What we're talking about will not pass away.
The Word will not pass away. So the minute we
choose a side, the minute we chose the Kingdom of God,

(16:20):
we were immediately thrust into spiritual warfare. And there's no
way around it again. Anyone who tells you otherwise is
deceiving you and putting you in danger. Now, I read
this illustration about spiritual warfare, and I wanted to share

(16:42):
it with you. In spiritual warfare, as in physical warfare,
the effectiveness of any weapon is directly proportionate to the
efficiency of the one operating it. That's powerful. For this reason,
during a late and Great War, the U. S. Army

(17:03):
assigned a new recruit one rifle, which he kept throughout
his training. It was called his Peace and became a
part of him. The recruit handled the Peace, continually disassembling it,
reassembling it. He cleaned it, he conducted basic maintenance. He
carried it twelve hours a day when crossing crossing rivers

(17:27):
or streams that his head might have gotten wet, but
his Peace had to stay dry, so they would hold
it above their heads. Six months later, in the heat
of battle, the soldier knew every inch of it, every mechanism,
every part of it. He understood things that could malfunction

(17:49):
and how to remedy them. He could break it down
and reassemble it in seconds. Blindfolded man and weapon had
become a synchronized, deadly fighting machine. The spiritual warriors proficiency
with his basic weapons should be no less remarkable, but

(18:11):
quite sadly, if believers had to rely on their own
Bible familiarity in life and depth situations, the majority would
helplessly perish. Sadly, I've seen nothing change it's still the same.

(18:32):
The church just can't steam to figure it out. Somebody
sent me a link. My son Jesse sent me a
link to a guy talking about Halloween and that it
was harmless and anyone telling you otherwise had a religious spirit.
They were Pharisees and the enemy can't touch us, and
blah blah blah and blah blah blah, and it was
such awful nonsense. I'll use that word. That's not the

(18:56):
word that came to mind, but I'll be nice. That
was such awful nonsense, and I responded to it, but
I simply stated, what you're saying is very common in
today's week compromised church. And it's wrong from somebody who
has been involved in the occult, gotten saved over thirty

(19:20):
years ago, and has helped many others get set free
from the occult. I can tell you that is an
ignorant way to look at things. Halloween is dangerous. First
of all, we shouldn't We shouldn't celebrate it. It celebrates
death and the demonic and darkness. There's nothing good about it. Oh,

(19:40):
the candy and the costumes and the fun. I'm I
just don't see that. Now that I'm on the other
side of it, beside which Ephesians five to eleven, have
nothing to do with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but
rather expose them. That's what I'll continue to do. We're
living in a war zone. Anything that is not of

(20:05):
God either comes from the lust of the eyes, the
lust of the flesh, or pride of life. It comes
from the world two Corinthians ten, starting verse three. For
though we walk in the flesh, we do not war

(20:26):
according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare
are not carnal, they're not fleshly, but mighty in God.
For pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high
thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing
every thought into captivity to the obedience of Messiah. I'm sorry, Paul,

(20:50):
what he's talking about here? Weapons warfare? What are he's saying?
The weapons of our warfare. They're not a flesh and blood,
but they're mighty in God. They're supernatural. And what are
we doing with them? We're pulling down strongholds, We're casting

(21:10):
down arguments, in every high thing that exalts itself against
the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to
the obedience of Messiah and being ready to punish all
disobedience when our obedience is fulfilled. Is that what you're saying. Yeah,

(21:31):
what he was saying two Corinthians ten four through six
this warfare, and we have weapons, a very specific weapon,
and warfare a very specific battlefield. He mentions the mind
I could spend weeks just teaching on that alone. I

(21:56):
have whole chapter in the Supernatural Battle about it. But
here's the deal. The majority of the church won't even
acknowledge what I just said, won't even acknowledge that we're
in a war. Well, that we have an enemy that
is on that battlefield, standing on the other side of it,

(22:19):
looking to attack us, looking to take what belongs to us,
what is valuable to us. But the Word says otherwise,
and it tells us how we will fight him the
weapons of our warfare. We're in a war. Paul makes

(22:39):
that pretty clear Ephesian six, starting verse ten. Finally, my brethren,
he says, be strong in the Lord and in the
power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God,
that you may be able to stand against the wiles
of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh

(23:02):
and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers
of the darkness of this age, against spiritual host of
wickedness in the heavenly places, again different levels of the demonic,
different levels of power, different levels of authority. Therefore, take

(23:23):
up the whole armor of God, that you may be
able to withstand in the evil day and having done
all to stand. We're not wrestling with flesh and blood.
We're not contending with physical opponents, although those demonic entities

(23:43):
sometimes put on fleshly suits and take over people. Or
we're dealing with what's behind it, the despotisms, the powers,
against the Master's spirits, who are the world's rulers of
this present age, against spirit forces of wickedness in the
heavenly supernatural sphere that I call the heavenly that's that area,

(24:09):
that atmospheric realm right above the earth. Well, what do
you do? Then? Therefore, put on God's complete armor, that
you may be able to resist and stand your ground
in the evil day of danger, and, having done all
as the crisis demands, stand firmly in place. I don't

(24:32):
know about you. That doesn't sound very peaceful, does it.
The armor of God five defensive pieces, one offensive, well, gee,
five defense. What means we're going to get attacked?

Speaker 2 (24:49):
Is that?

Speaker 1 (24:49):
What that means if living in a war zone means
I'm in danger? Oh I don't want to hear that, Richard. Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope.
Tickle my ears. Tell them me something good. Nah, can't
do that? Oh yes I can. Jesus is coming back.
This isn't our home. He's given us the ability to

(25:12):
tarry and to occupy, stand firm, hold your ground, having
tightened the wide band of truth, personal integrity, moral courage
around your waist, having put on the breastplate of righteousness
and upright heart, and having strapped on your feet the

(25:34):
gospel of peace and preparation to face the enemy with
firm footed stability and the readiness produced by the Good News.
Above all, above all, lift up the protective shield of faith,
with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of

(25:55):
the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation and
the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
With all prayer and petition, Pray with specific request at
all times, and on every occasion and in every season,
in the spirit and with this in view, sty alert,

(26:16):
with all perseverance and petition, interceding in prayer for all
God's people. The saints sounds like warfare to me. Felt
of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of the Gospel of peace,
helmet of salvation, shield of faith, sort of the spirit.

(26:40):
That's what he said, you know, gird your loins. What
does that mean. Well, we've talked about this many times.
It's a phrase found in the Bible from biblical times.
It's getting ready for immediate action, coming event. You know,

(27:01):
they'd pull their clothing if you want to call if
the tog up in front of it, through their legs
up in front of them, and tuck it into the belt.
You know, Tunic's cloaks mantled whatever, so that they could run,
they could move freely, that belt around their waist holding

(27:28):
it all together that they ducked it into. They could
put things in it, a dagger, they could put money,
they could put any necessary item that they might need.
So they would gird up your loins, girt up your mind,
gird up your heart. Get prepared. Are you looking at
what's going on in the world. Let me just say this,

(27:51):
if you're listening to the porch every week. If you've
been listening to me for all these years, if you've
seen me speak in public, if you've read the book
for an the things I write and say and do
spirit on social media on the topic of spiritual warfare,
you will not be unprepared. You'll be firm footed. The

(28:14):
shoes the Gospel of Peace was indicative of the Roman
soldiers' shoes, which were studded with little nails, hobnails that
gave them stability on the battlefield. You can stand in
peace and one having done all to stand. The enemy's
not gonna drive you back. You're not gonna run. And

(28:36):
then the Roman soldiers had these large oblong shields made
with an iron frame and what in the center covered
with layers of leather that they would soak in water
before battle to put out the fiery missiles that the
enemy would shoot at them. You are prepared if you

(29:01):
do what the word says. Do as believers, we could
rely on the Lord's powers, on his name, on his authority,
and stand firm against evil forces in this world. Having
said all that and read all those scriptures, I have
a question for you. Does any of that indicate to

(29:25):
you that you do nothing, that you sit back, that
the Lord does everything for you, or that he sends
angels to do that for you. It would seem to me,
from Paul's teaching, Peter's teaching, James teaching, John's teaching, that

(29:46):
we participate in the battle, and we cannot be ignorant
of Satan's devices two Corinthians to eleven, because he'll take
advantage of us if we're ignorant of his devices, ignorant
of his ways, ignorant of his wiles. When I read

(30:10):
that thing the other day about Halloween, it's the first
thing I thought. These people have taken the ignorant information
of the enemy and made it their truth, and they
were mocking anyone who disagreed with them, anyone who pointed
out the dangers of engaging in occult activity. We can't

(30:37):
we can't ignore the fact that we're live in a
fallen world, and this fallen world belongs to the enemy,
which makes it a war zone. And until he comes
back and takes us out of here, it's where we are.
I've always believed that it should have been different, had
the Church done its job, had we done what we

(30:59):
had been ordered to do with the power and the
authority given to us, we wouldn't be in the mess
right now. But Satan was brilliant. He deceived the church
into sitting down, stopped exercising as authority, gave up some
of it to government, and now we're in a mess.

(31:23):
Remember last week we talked about Genesis chapter four, verse seven,
six and seven. Lord says the Kine, Why are thout rock?
This is the original king, James, Why are thout wrath?
Why is our countenance? Thy countenance fallen? If thou doest well,
shalt thou not be accepted? And if thou dost not well,

(31:46):
Sin lieth at the door, and unto these shall be
his desire, and thou shalt rule over him. Sin personalized
male satan desire is for you, and you shall rule
over him. You shall subject him, you shall not give

(32:10):
into it. Sounds personal to me, very personal, indicative of
a struggle resistance, indicative of a predator seeking its prey,
lying in wait. Never forget that the devil and the
kingdom of darkness has one goal to destroy you and

(32:34):
still your soul and the souls of everyone you love.
His desire is for all men to be with him
in the lake of fire for eternity, the embodiment of evil.
That is their goal to destroy us. Because we chose

(32:55):
the Messiah, we chose God, We chose the Kingdom of God.
In a world that is under the sway of the
wicked one one John five p. Nineteen. The whole world,
not just some of it, not just part of it,
not just certain areas. The whole world lies under the

(33:17):
sway of the wicked one, under the influence, under the control,
under the guidance. However you want to see it, turn
on the news, check the internet. See what's going on
out there. See the rise and evil and demonic activity,
the anger, the bloodshed. This evil one twelve times in

(33:45):
the New Testamonies called the evil One. We say it
in Matthew six thirteen, the Lord's prayer. Do not lead
us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil One.
For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory.
Wherever I'm in, deliver us from the evil one. Salvation deliverance.

(34:07):
You show a salvation deliverance. You choose, You choose. If
you don't, Satan will choose for you. Remember in John
seventeen fifteen, the Lord's praying to the Father. He says,
I do not pray that you should take them, the disciples,

(34:28):
out of the world, but that you should keep them
from the evil One. Because he's crafty. He's slick now
getting around it. He's good at what he does. He
can manipulate people to achieve his ends. Look what he

(34:50):
did to Peter in Matthew sixteen twenty three. You Shoa
begins to show the disciples that he must go to Jerusalem,
suffer many things from the elders, the chief, priests and scribes,
and be killed and be raised the third day. So
what does Peter do? Peter took him aside and began

(35:13):
to rebuke him. I'm sorry, Peter, what were you thinking?
Began to rebuke him, saying, far be it from you. Lord,
this shall not happen to you. And he turned to
Peter and said, get behind me. Satan. You are an
offense to me, for you are not mindful of the
things of God, but the things of men. Get behind me.

(35:37):
You are a stumbling block to me. You're under Satanic
influence right now, and you're not setting your mind on
the things of God, but on the things of man,
which means it's from Satan. Look what he did to
analyze and Sapharrah and Acts chapter five. He filled their

(35:59):
heart to lie to the Holy Spirit, and which what
led them to death. He can trap a man, he
can take them captive to do his will. Two Timothy,
Chapter two, thirty verse twenty four sirms to the Lord
must not quarrel, but be gentle to all able to
teach patient in humility, correcting those who are in opposition.

(36:25):
If God perhaps will grant them repentance so that they
may know the truth, that they may come to their
senses and escape the snare of the devil, the devil
having been taken captive by him to do his will.
It's not some old fashioned, super religious, biblical, anti intellectual

(36:51):
position to believe in a living, powerful, personal embodiment of evil.
Perhaps if the church saw that more vividly, we might
have more people in this battle, and we might have

(37:14):
more people be victorious. But they don't see it that way.
They're not participating. They're sitting down. There's spectators. Oh that's
good for you, Richard. You go do that, You go
cast out demons, you go confront principalities and powers and
fallen angels, and Canaan o gods and all the things

(37:38):
that you do. You go do that. That's your calling. Maya.
I'll just sit back in and watch you. Let me
know how that works out for you. Look what the
Lord said to Saul before he became Paul, when he
called him into service in the Kingdom of God. Paul
relates it next twenty six verses seventeen and eighteen. You

(38:02):
should have said to him, I will deliver you from
the Jewish people as well as from the gentiles, to
whom I now send you. What he means is, I'm
want to send you. They're not going to like it,
but I'll deliver you from it, from them from what
they're going to do to you. To open their eyes,
He's sending them to open their eyes in order to
turn them from darkness to light from the power of

(38:26):
Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins
and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith
in me, says the Lord, turning them physically from darkness
to light. I think Satan's going to like that. No,

(38:47):
he didn't. Paul experienced injuries and the things, and I
believe some of that was he had to work something
things out. He did some really bad things to God's children,
even though he had been forgiven. He had to work

(39:07):
some things out here, and he did. Choosing you for myself, Saul,
I will rescue you from Jewish people and from the Gentiles,
because I'm going to send you to them, and you're
going to open their spiritual eyes and you're going to
turn them from the kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom

(39:29):
of light, from the power of Hasatan, Satan the adversary
to the power of God. You've been drafted. I don't
remember Saul asking for it. I don't remember him putting
in an application for it. He was drafted. I told

(39:53):
the Lord one time after I realized everything that I
had gone through and everything I would go through, and
he began to show me what was coming. This is
about when we moved here, so it would have been
about mid to late nineties. And I said to him,
I said, very jokingly, I said, you tricked me. Had
you told me everything that I was going to have

(40:15):
to go through, I probably would have been a little
slower in saying yes, but I would have said yes. Anyway.
I was drafted. Maybe I don't know what do you
think maybe we need to restore a custom of the
early Church to Tulian, one of the early church fathers,

(40:46):
recounted how converts during his time, when they were let
in the confession of faith, not only confessed Messiah, but
they were also were called to renounced Satan, all his
service and all his works. That was a part of

(41:08):
the confession of faith. I renounce you, Satan, and all
your service and all your works. I didn't even know that.
That's where it started. I did that. I wanted to
specifically break free of any agreement I had come into,
and for many years after I got saved, that was
a part of my daily affirmation. I was no longer

(41:35):
going to do his will Romans six sixteen. Do you
not know that when you continually offer yourselves to someone
to do his will, you are the slaves of the
one whom you obey, either slaves of sin, which lead
to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness and

(41:56):
right standing with God. So who are you going to
submit to? We can resist the enemy, we can flee
his influence James four seven. Submit to the authority of God,
resists the devil, stand for him against him, and he
will flee from you. Why, Because you're standing near God.

(42:20):
You've submitted yourself to God. You've come close to God.
That's what the rest of that chapter talks about. Well,
if you're standing with God, Satan won't come anywhere near you.
He's got to trick you into wandering off like that
lamb who's not paying attention to the woods and the
beady little eyes of the predators out there waiting for

(42:41):
it to wander off. So where are you right now
in the grand scheme of things? Have you picked a side?
Have you picked whose authority you will submit to? Because
whether you like it or not, whether you agreed with

(43:02):
it or not, you're living in a war zone that
demands you pick a side, or a side will be
chosen for you by Satan by default. If you don't
choose God, you've chosen the world, which means you've chosen him.

(43:23):
I didn't know that I was a good little Catholic boy.
I'd been dunked, I'd been sprinkled, I'd been slapped, I've
been dedicated. I could kneel, I could stand up, I
could genuine fly, I could do all those things. I
could do all the religious activities. But I'd never picked

(43:44):
a side. I never acknowledged that the supernatural abilities that
I had could be from anywhere else but God. Well,
I'm a good person in there and me. Therefore they
came from God. No, they did not. They lated his word.
Why would he give me a gift that would put
me against him? He wouldn't pick a side. We're in

(44:16):
a war, and our weapons and our strength they are mighty,
and we can fight against the enemy and triumph standing
side by side. We can defeat them, we can drive
them back, we can rescue those that are lost. And

(44:37):
with this strength we need not fear anything the devil
can do. But we must constantly be alert and on
guard against the schemes and the things that he does.

(44:58):
What doesn't mean you're paranoid, doesn't mean you're seeing demons
behind every tree, under every bush, under every rock. They
might be there, but I'm not. You know what, I
can walk through this world. I can ignore them. Matter
of fact. That drives some kind of crazy. I'm not
saying you do that if you don't have the abilities

(45:20):
or the experience, or you know the authority, but yet
but you will. But I can ignore them, I can
move on. I only engage if the Lord says engage
one Corinthians fifteen, verse thirty four. Be sober minded, which
means why be sensible, wake up from your spiritual stupor

(45:46):
and stop sinning for some some of you have no
knowledge of God. You are disgracefully ignorant of Him and
ignore his truths. And he said, I say this to
your shame. Come, Paul, come talk to the church. There
are people standing up in the church saying what you said,
and they're not saying what you said. And if you

(46:08):
were standing in the crowd, you'd be looking up there
going huh, I, I don't remember saying that we're so
lost right now, You're not the Remnant's not. I believe
you're part of the remnant. But I'm talking collectively as
the church. We're in so much trouble. And it's very

(46:30):
disheartening and heartbreaking at times to see people make decisions
that I know of putting them in the mouth of
that roaring line, putting them in the path of the
things that are looking to devour them. And I'll tell
you the one thing that Satan uses, one of the

(46:52):
many things, but a very powerful thing he uses to
snare people to outsmart them. Two Corinthians two, from verse ten,
there was a man backing up. There was a man
that was being rebuked. He said, do this, correct him
and forgive him. When you forgive this man, I forgive

(47:13):
him too. And when I forgive whatever needs to be forgiven,
I do so with Messiah's authority for your benefits, so
that Satan will not outsmart us. For we are familiar
with his evil schemes. So what he's saying is we're
not unaware of his ability to use unforgiveness as a

(47:35):
land of mine in the danger zone, in the war zone.
Unforgiveness will open a door that if you don't close
it quickly, the enemy will come flooding through there. Right now, stop,
Holy Spirit, show me someone that I have unforgiveness towards,

(47:59):
so that I can release them and release myself from
being fair game. Show me, amen, whatever he showed you,
whoever he showed you, whatever you need to do. He

(48:22):
may just tell you let it go, forgive me. He
may tell you pick up a phone, he may tell
you send a text. Whatever it is, do it. Unforgiveness
is a landmine that when you step on it, you
get hurt. So warfare and resistance against an enemy in

(48:43):
this fallen world is a consistent theme in the Bible,
and no one can say otherwise. The writers of the
New Testament, they taught it from every angle. You should
acts one a. But you shall receive power when the
Holy Spirit is come upon you, and you shall be
witnesses to me in Jerusalem, Judea Samarian to the end

(49:05):
of the earth. Where does this throne, This power comes
from the throne room? Why to be witnesses, to share
the gospel, to go out into all the world. Well,
how's that going to happen? From the infilling of the
Holy Spirit? John fifteen twenty six, when the helper, the
Paracletus comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father,

(49:26):
the Spirit of Truth, who proceeds from the Father. He
will testify of me. Proceeds comes forth from the Father himself.
She was very clear, And John eight forty two, speaking
to the Pharisees and the Sadducees of God, were your father,

(49:49):
you would love me, for I proceeded forth and come
from God. Nor have I come of myself, But He
sent me Father Son, Holy Spirit victorious against the enemy.
The Father came, the Son came from the Father, and

(50:13):
the Holy Spirit proceeds eminates from actually both of them,
in my opinion, but from the Father. We'll stay with
the strict interpretation of the word. But he's sent by
the Son. That's a thority. Oh my gosh, if you
could just grasp that, you'd realize what kind of authority
you have? And you so why why did it have

(50:37):
to be that way? Why did he have to give
that to us? Because we're living in a fallen world
that obeys the devil, the commander of the powers of
the unseen world, the Prince of the power of the air,
and if you think about that, the power of the air, broadcasting, media, entertainment,
all the things he's using to corrupt people's minds, the

(50:59):
Prince of the power of the air, the spirit at
work in those that refuse to obey God. That word power, exusia, authority, jurisdiction,

(51:19):
the rule of government. It's the power and authority that
must be obeyed. At the twenty eight eighteen, what did
the Lord say, All authority has been given to me
in heaven and earth. Now go all authority, not some,

(51:40):
not just partial, not limited authority, all authority in heaven
and earth has been given to him. He's delegated it
to us. Therefore we must go. My prayer is, Lord,
turn me loose. Let us do what you've called us
to do. Go, set the captives free, teared down strongholds,

(52:01):
redeem the land, do all these glorious and wonderful things
for the kingdom before you come back. We have the
authority to do that right now. The only thing we're
lacking is the provision. So if you want to pray
for that, do so. If we would just understand the

(52:21):
aspect of authority and the influence that was so great
and so important that all the writers covered it in
some form in the Gospels, in the letters, it must
have been important. It must have had value to the kingdom.

(52:43):
It must have had value to the Church that every
one of them covered it in some way, shape or form.
Demonstrative power, authoritative power, dunamous, explosive self rep implicating power
in dwelling within each one of us, The ability to

(53:07):
use that power at any time for the Kingdom, for God,
for the Lord. So exciting it is to me. I'm
sitting here trying to listen to myself as I'm speaking
to you. I'm visualizing it. I'm remembering times that we

(53:29):
used it. The early Church understood this, They understood warfare,
they understood the constant struggle. They understood what they were
up against. And we see that in the Book of Acts.
We see that in the history of the Church and
how they shook the world and all the things that

(53:50):
they did. But once the last apostle died, and once
their first students died and they got into the second
and third and fourth generation teachers, it all went dead.
The fire went out. Until now we have contemporary teachers
that tell us there's no threat, there's no need for
any of this. It's all been done. You're good, God's good.

(54:14):
Don't sweat it. Go do Halloween, Go celebrate the occults.
Don't nothing can hurt you. That's a lie. There's an
enemy out there, and we should expect warfare and resistance.
Should we not. I'm sorry. There's no peace treaty. We

(54:36):
see what happens with peace treaties with tumonically possess satanically
empowered people. What do you think is life like when
you deal with the entities that are inside of them.
There's no peace treaty There'll be no peace until the
Prince of Peace comes back and subjects them, shatters their tea.

(55:00):
He takes away their power. So our resistance against this
enemy is both natural and supernatural. Humble yourselves under the
mighty power of God, and at the right time he
will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries
and your cares to God, for he cares for you.
He cares about you. Stay alert, watch out for your

(55:23):
great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion,
seeking for someone to devour, someone to tear apart, someone
to hurt. Stand firm against him, and be strong in
your faith. Remember that your brothers insisted all over the
world are going through the same kind of suffering you are.

(55:43):
Must be at the they're in a war zone. Two.
In his kindness, God calls you to share in his
eternal glory by the means of Messiah Yeshua. So after
you've suffered for a little while, he will restore you,
support and strengthen you, and he will place you on
a firm foundation. All power to Him forever. Amen one

(56:08):
Peter five, verses six through eleven. That was the new
Living translation. Remember James four to seven. Submit to God,
resists the devil, and he will flee from you. That
word submit hypotasso is a military term to rank under
rank and order, be subject by choice, submit to the
authority above you. Well, the enemy's got to run, he's

(56:33):
got to flee. Why Because if I have submitted to God,
I've repented, I've come into right relationship with him. The
enemy cannot be in the presence of such holiness. In
his presence, we also see how much of our flesh
is still alive, how much we missed kneeling to the cross. Differ,

(56:57):
God has highly exalted him and given him the name
which above every name, that at the name of yr Shoe,
every knee should bow, of those in heaven, of those
on earth and those under the earth, and that every
tongue should confess that Jesus the Messiah is Lord to
the glory of God the Father. I love using that

(57:17):
scripture Philippians two nine through eleven. I love using it
in spiritual warfare. I loved using it in deliverance. And
you know why Paul doesn't go into a whole lot
of detail other than that he doesn't go into the
importance of the rankings and the powers of the enemy.
He doesn't mention their names. He didn't need to know

(57:40):
their names. He knew one name. He knew the rank
and the power of Yeshee, King of King's, Lord of lords.
Everything is under his feet, everything is subjected to him.
And Paul understood that kind of authority. He understood that
kind of of warfare. Heck, he was of prison when

(58:02):
he wrote that. Do you know he wrote four of
his epistles from prison from between sixty one and sixty
two AD from Rome. Yeah, he understood. He knew what
was going on. He knew what the church was up against.
Like an ephesus man, They're just they're in a place,

(58:28):
excuse me, of multiple religions and gods and goddesses and
Satanic worship and occult activities, pagan rituals, temple prostitution. So
what did he do? He taught them the redemptive power
of Messiah, how to live a life of redemption, of

(58:51):
authority both in and out of the home, and to
prepare for spiritual conflict in their life. He didn't sugarcoat it.
He didn't say, oh, no trouble, no worries, Just go
about your life, be you be strong in the Lord.
Be empowered through your union with him. Draw your strength

(59:16):
from him, the strength which his boundless might provides. Put
all the whole armor of God. You're getting ready to fight,
the armor of a heavily armed soldier. God supplies that
armor for you. Take it up, put it on. You'll
be successful against all the strategies and deceits of the devil.

(59:39):
We're not wrestling against flesh and blood. We're not contending
with physical opponents, but with the despotisms and the powers,
and the master's spirits, and the world rulers, and the
spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenlyes, the supernatural realm.
That's who we're that's the word resisting. That's who's attacking us. Therefore,

(01:00:07):
put on God's whole armor, the complete armor. And if
you do that, listen to me, Church. If you do that,
he's saying, you'll be able to resist and stand your
ground in the evil day of danger. And when you
do all that, when you do everything that the crisis demands,

(01:00:27):
stand firmly in place. Don't run, don't retreat, don't back up.
You're wrestling, you're contending. You're in close up physical contact.
That word wrestle had other indications, other words to describe it,

(01:00:48):
to cast out, to throw down, violently, to thrust, And
that's what re Greco Roman wrestling was in his day.
It was violent. You're not just striking them, you're violently
hurling them away. You're snatching them away from the lamb

(01:01:09):
before they can get their mouth on them. Brothers and sisters,
it's all around us. I read this story about World
War Two General Creighton Abrams and his command was surrounded
by the enemy to the east, to the west, to
the north, and to the south. So what does General

(01:01:31):
Abrams say to his men, gentlemen, For the first time
in the history of this campaign, we are now in
a position to attack the enemy in any direction. It's
all a matter of perspective. Are you surrounded? Are you

(01:01:51):
fenced in on every side? Is the enemy everywhere you look? Okay?
That means you can attack the enemy in every direction,
any direction. All says the Second Corinthians four, verse eight
and nine. We are hard pressed on every side, yet
not crushed. We are perplexed, but we're not in despair,

(01:02:17):
persecuted but not forsaken, struck down but not destroyed. You
are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed. You
may be perplexed, but you're not in despair, persecuted, but
you're not forsaken. Struck down, but you're not destroyed. Believe

(01:02:40):
that the power of God greater in you than the
God of this world. Pray for the boldness of those
in leadership to stand against the raging enemy and to
lead others to do the same, And if they won't,
for God to raise up new leadership. Communicating, encourage each other,

(01:03:07):
care for one another. Understand that you live in a
war zone, and act accordingly. Aba, Father Daddy, we won't
ignore the truth. We're in a fallen world that has

(01:03:29):
rebelled against you, but we have chosen you. We've chosen
your kingdom. We've chosen your son as our Messiah, as
our Lord and our savior. Therefore we ask right now
that you would shine down your glory upon us, that
you would surround us with your angels. In a Psalm
ninety one covering, if we're wounded, heal us, if we're hurt,

(01:03:56):
encourage us, lift up our heads, heal our hearts, our minds,
our souls, our spirits. Lord, right now, seeing the spirits,
some have just opened their hands and they've let go
of the sword. They don't want to fight anymore. They're tired.

(01:04:16):
We Lord, until they get their strength back, until they
can reach down and grab that hilt again. I'm asking
right now that you would surround them, surround them in prayer,
surround them with angels, wingtip to wingtip. We long to

(01:04:38):
see you face the face. We long to see the
King of Kings and the Lord of Lord split the sky.
We long for you to subject this world and the
evil ones and all the demonic entities and snatch them
up and throw them in the pit. But until then
we will stand, and having done all, we will dig

(01:04:59):
the those heels in. We'll care about one another, we'll
love one another, we'll pray for one another, and we
will attack the enemy in every direction. For your glory.
For your name, you sure Jesus, Amen, May the Lord

(01:05:27):
bless you and keep you. May the Lord man I
don't know, I make his face to shine upon you
and be gracious to you. May the Lord I don't know,
your sure Ahamashiah, lift up his countenance upon you, and
you and you and you, and give you peace, Give

(01:05:50):
you shalom. I'm Richard Grund standing victorious, head, health high,
