Speaker 1 (00:21):
Hello, Welcome to the Porch on Firefall Talk Radio. I'm
Richard Grund. This is where you find the uncompromised red
letter basics of the Word of God. That's all you're
going to find here. We're not going to water it down,
We're not going to filter it. If it's in the Word,
that's what we're going to give you. We focus on
(00:41):
the Book of Acts Church. Why because we believe that
the way they serve the Lord is the way He
intended the Church to be, not the way that the
man made Church tends to do it. The Porch is
a non denominational, bold Gospel approach to the Bible, and
(01:01):
it's based on the examples of the Book of Acts Church.
It aims to restore the priesthood of the believer and
regain the world shaking influence that the early Church had
the Church ages and over. Doesn't matter what anybody told you,
it's still going on. The Upper Room experience is still
available to you if you want it, it's there. We
(01:24):
offer you the Word as the Apostles would have to
the Jewish and gentile believers of their day. We use
both the Yeshuah and Jesus when speaking of the Lord.
We prefer the term Messiah rather than Christ, just because
it more accurately reflects how he was referred to by
those who knew him. Additionally, when needed, we provide definitions
(01:48):
in Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic to help you understand what
was being said. Getting back to basics isn't just our motto.
It was a mandate from the Lord and we live
by it. Links to all of our social media and
streaming sites are on the main page of Firefall talk

what we do, and we hope that you will, and
thank you to everyone who does, at the bottom of
Firefall talk radio dot com. There are multiple ways to
do so, including a po box. If you want to
manle us your blessing, do not hesitate to reach out
(02:32):
to us if you need further information about that. We
appreciate you, your prayers, your support, your encouragement. We are
in this together. We believe the Porch is a community,
so thank you for being a part of the porch.
If you need prayer, let us know. We will pray
for you. If you'd like to pray for others, let
us know we'll plug you into that list. Continue to
(02:55):
pray for healing and recovery from my wife from her surgery,
from people still dealing with this respiratory infection, whatever it
is that's all over the place, and antibiotics doesn't seem
to be stopping it. We need some prayers for our
brothers and sisters who are suffering with that suffering around
the world, being persecuted. We need pray for peace of
(03:20):
Jerusalem because the Word tells us to see when I
do that. Yes, I am praying for my Jewish brothers
and sisters, but I'm also praying for the return of
the Prince of Peace, because that is the only way
Jerusalem will ever see the peace that it needs. So
Abah Papa would come to you. As your children, we
(03:43):
boldly approach the Throne of Grace and mercy, holding up
our arms, our hands, and our hearts to you. We
need you, We love you, praise you, and worship you.
Thank you. Thank you for being our daddy. Thank you
for your shua. Thank you for everything that you've done
(04:05):
our families, our homes, our pets, our possessions. All good
things come from you, the food that we eat, the
eyes that blink, the heart that beats. Thank you, Thank you, Lord.
I don't I for enduring what you did on the cross,
(04:27):
even before that, during the scourging the whipping, so that
the final blood sacrifice could be done and the final
debt could be paid. Thank you for doing what we
never could do to be reconciled to our heavenly Father.
You did it all. We thank you for sending back
(04:52):
the Holy Spirit. We are more than grateful. That's just
a weak way to say. We can't do this without you,
Holy Spirit. We can't do it without your guidance. We
can't do it without your empowering nature. We can't do
it without understanding the word. We just can't do this alone.
(05:13):
So right now we ask you to bless the technology,
bless our time, open our hearts, our minds, our eyes
to receive this word. Let it go forth, let it
do what you desire it to do. And I pray
all these things, and you show his name.
Speaker 2 (05:31):

Speaker 1 (06:11):
Okay, the so far has blown. Let's get ready. Your
Bible should be open, your hearts should be open. You
should be prepared to receive this word, a word that
I believe was not only requested, but inspired by the
Holy Spirit to be done. I pray that you're using it.
I pray that you're taking advantage of it. Proverbs twenty
(06:34):
eighteen tells us plans succeed through good counsel. Don't go
to war without wise advice. Well, wise advice comes from
those with experiential knowledge. When it comes to spiritual warfare,
there are too many opinions and not enough experience. One
(06:58):
Timothy one to eighteen. This charge I commit to you,
Son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you,
that by them you may wage the good warfare, that
you may fight the good fight in contending with false teachers.
You see, warfare is the fundamental nature of the church
(07:22):
of being a believer in Yeshua. Warfare is something that
we're all involved with in one way, shape or form
or another. Doesn't matter and it will not stop until
the Lord comes back. So understand that you're living in
a war zone and act accordingly. Not just because I
(07:45):
say that, because the Bible studies of the last couple
of weeks have laid out that case. You, in your
heart and your mind should understand this is not your home.
You were created for something better than this. It's a
world under the control of the fallen, a war zone.
(08:09):
This Friday's Halloween, it should be a day of battle
for those who understand the enemy's schemes. But I'm seeing
as submission. I'm seeing a laying down of their arms.
Of too many in the body who see it as harmless,
it's not. I've talked enough about it over all these years.
(08:31):
I've done enough exposis honor, whether in reflections in the
darker here on the porch. I don't know what else
I could say to point out that anything that celebrates darkness,
anything that celebrates the demonic, anything that glorifies the kingdom
of Hastan and the fallen, should not be something we
(08:51):
would willingly participate in. Ephesian six eleven says put on
the whole armor of God, that you may be able
to stand against the wiles of the devils, the schemes
of the devil, things like Halloween, things like all the
stuff that goes on that our kids are allowed to celebrate,
(09:12):
is a scheme to entrap, to ensnare, to seduce. But
we knew that this was coming, because it says so
in Prophecy Daniel eight twenty three. This is the amplified
says in the latter time of their kingdom, when the
transgressors have reached their fullness, a king shall arise, having
(09:35):
fierce features, a fierce countenance, who understands sinister schemes. According
to the Believer's Bible commentary, Daniel was so overwhelmed by
the presence of the Angel that was in front of
him he fell down on his face in a deep sleep.
We call it being slain in the spirit, and from
(09:56):
the verses nineteen through twenty two. But we see the vision,
we have it laid out before us. But verse twenty three,
which I just read to you, goes beyond Antiochi's Epiphanes,
to the future counterpart, the king with fierce features, the
one who will ruthlessly persecute the Holy people in tribulation, cunning, proud, deceitful,
(10:26):
rising up against the Prince of Peace, the Lord himself.
We know who that is. It's the Antichrist, the spirit
of the Antichrist that's in the land right now. But
he'll be destroyed by divine intervention. That's what Daniel was seeing.
That's what he was prophesy. That's whose period we are
(10:47):
living in right now. We're living in a time of
the spirit of the Antichrist. He has not appeared yet.
I believe he's in the background. I believe he's pulling
strings behind the scenes. The world would say, pay no
attention to that man behind the curtain, but I say
pay attention. Do whatever you can to resist his schemes,
(11:11):
because everything the devil does involves sinister schemes. Tewod Garanthians
to a level to eleven says, to keep Satan from
taking advantage of us, for we are not ignorant of
his schemes. This was a situation where the Assembly was
(11:32):
in danger of not taking disciplinary action against somebody who
had sin, but they were also in danger of not
forgiving him if he truly repented, and either one of
those would have been a Satanic scheme. Satan is always
ready to step into a situation like that, he'll wreck
(11:55):
the testimony of an assembly through tolerated sin, and then
the second he'll overwhelm the repentant person with excessive sorrow,
so that if the assembly does not restore him, he'll
harm himself. So if we don't do right by God,
(12:16):
if we don't stand up for the word but do
it in love, the enemy takes advantage of it. We
should never be ignorant of something that he has inspired.
So many people are hearing voices in their head that
speak their will, but not gods, who speak their desires
but not the Word, and they're falling into the trap
(12:39):
of the fallen. And it's not always Satan. It could
it could be the spirit of jest Bill. It could
be Lilith. It could be a Moloch. It could be
bail Berrith, who we know very well here in the portrait,
And that's sort of could be any one of these
fallen demonic entities that are still around and empower all
their schemes working together for the kingdom of darkness to
(13:03):
destroy God's children. Though it doesn't matter what the schemes are,
we can't be ignorant of them, whether it was to
sift them like Peter in Luke twenty two thirty one,
or or using devices to trick called weeds to choke
out the word and the parable of the sower in
Matthew thirteen. The cares of this world, the deceitfulness of
(13:26):
riches will choke out the word, the wiles of deception,
which I mentioned in Ephesian six eleven, whether it's the
roaring lion to terrify and destroy in one Peter five eight,
or to disguise himself as an angel of light in
Sewod Corinthians eleven fourteen. And then they are the snares
(13:49):
of false teaching that Timothy was warned about in Tewod
Timothy to twenty six. Everything the enemy does is to steal, kill,
and destroy. So the enemy has an array of effective
weapons at their disposal that the Church must guard against, and, frustratingly,
(14:15):
so they don't seem to care. I care. I care
about you, I care about his flock, care about the
wolves that get amongst the sheep, and I wait for
the command of the Great Shepherd to go do something
about it. I'll stand here and warn I'll speak this word.
(14:38):
I'll do whatever I can to protect his flock. And
when he says go, we go. But lately he hasn't
said go, And I asked him why recently, And he's
allowing certain things to happen. He's allowing certain things to
get bad simply because his children have not appreciated what
(15:00):
he has done for them, that they have not heeded
his warnings. Sometimes you have to allow a sheep to
wander off to get afraid. He won't allow it to
be destroyed, but it might get wounded. It'll definitely get scared.
And I've always found that when the sheep, when the
(15:21):
flock get attacked or they get frightened, suddenly people like me,
Suddenly SRT becomes important to them. But otherwise we are forgotten.
And that's okay. I'm not looking for accolades. I'm not
looking for human endorsement. I have mine in heaven. But
(15:45):
as believers in the King of Kings and Lord of Lords,
we can rely on the weapons that he gave us.
We can rely on his delegated power to stand firm
against the evil forces in this world. I saw a
video on Instagram. It was a video of a well
known exorcist. I did that finger thing exorcist, which by
(16:08):
the way is not biblical. But anyway, we've been there,
done that, and it was an exorcism that was going badly,
and he wasn't in the room alone. There were two
or three or four people helping him. And this supposedly
demonically possessed girl was not only resistant to everything he
(16:29):
was saying and doing, she was overwhelming the people in
the group. And my comment to what to that was
no one in that room had any authority. This is embarrassing.
And immediately like one hundred and forty five likes, and
one person said, but this is a well known exorcist.
(16:51):
I've seen him, I've seen his videos, and they said that, well, maybe,
but there's no authority in that room. There's none of
the authority that was given to us in the name
of Jesus, none of the authority given to us over
the demonic. I know because I walk in that authority.
We have to live the life that the Lord ordained
(17:16):
for us, in freedom, in power and authority. Hesians two too,
used to live in sin, just like the rest of
the world, obeying the devil. The commander of the powers
in the unseen world, the prince of the power of
the air. He is the spirit at work in the
hearts of those who refuse to obey God. He is
(17:40):
the one at work and the disobedient, unbelieving who fight
against the purposes of God. And again it's not just him.
He has control of a high mind, of an entire
network at work, present, tense, ongoing, active, who get fed
(18:00):
by sin, who get fed by rebellion, who get fed
by bloodshed, who get fed by the killing of babies
in the womb and the cutting up of their bodies
and their organs being sold, gets fed by the heartache
of death and destruction. We have to counter that we
(18:22):
have been given the ability to do something about it.
Two Corinthians ten, starting verse three. For though we walk
in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but
(18:43):
mighty in God. For pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments,
and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge
of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience
of Messiah. Casting down every high thing, we are destroying
(19:06):
their sophisticated arguments, and every exalted and proud thing that
has set itself up against the true knowledge of God.
And we are taking every thought that we have and
every purpose captive to the obedience of Messiah. We are
(19:26):
being obedient to him, and we are exemplifying his obedience.
He didn't tolerate that. He didn't put up with that.
With those like the Pharisees and the Sadducees that was
supposed to know better, he responded in kind. But to
those that were lost and deceived and in bondage, he
(19:49):
treated them with love and compassion. But he set them free.
Here Paul is referring specifically to the warfare in the
mind against arrogant, rebellious ideas and attitudes, which he calls arguments,
and every high thing, every prideful, demonic, satanic thing that
(20:10):
opposed the true knowledge of God. And the aim is
always to bring every disobedient thought into obedience to the Lord.
When you hear a disobedient thought, you have to immediately
subject it. Why because if you don't, it will take
(20:32):
over your mind. It's like a piece of fruit that
has one side of it that you can't see that's rotten.
It infects all the rest of the fruit. And now
instead of throwing out that one apple of that one
orange or manderin whatever it is, cutieth not so cute anymore.
It's a little rotten. Three or four or five. Got
(20:52):
maybe the whole bag have to go. The minute that
thought comes in, you got to stop it. Just say no,
this doesn't line up with the word, just doesn't line
up with what I know of the Lord. Otherwise it
will rot the rest of what is in your head.
(21:14):
The weapons of our warfare, the Church's warfare, the believer's warfare,
a very specific warfare and a specific battlefield, the minds
and the hearts, and not just of the world, but
of the Church. It didn't stop once you got saved.
(21:35):
In fact, it got worse for you, didn't it. Because
the enemy looks at you, see the seas that you're
marked by the blood, made the image of the one
who cast him out, and he just instinctively doesn't like you. Well,
I don't care that he doesn't like me. In as
(21:56):
matter of fact, I would prefer that he didn't like me.
I'm not his friend, though for a period of time
in my life I was allied with him in his thinking,
I was never his friend. Take up Ephesian six with
verse ten and conclusion, be strong in the Lord draw
(22:19):
your strength from Him. Be empowered through your union with Him,
which we know is from the infeling of the Holy Spirit,
and in the power of His boundless might. Put on
the whole armor of God, the full armor of God,
for his precepts are like the splendid armor of the
heavily armed soldier, so that you may be able to
(22:43):
successfully stand against all the schemes and the strategies and
deceits of the devil. For our struggle, my struggle, your struggle.
It's not against flesh and blood. We're not only contending
with physical opponents, the rulers, against the powers, against the
world forces of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces
(23:08):
of wickedness in the heavenly places, heavenly supernatural places, multiple
levels of the demonic, multiple levels of power, multiple levels
of ranking. Therefore, because of all of that, put on
the complete armor of God, so that you may be
able to successfully resist and stand your ground in the
(23:33):
evil day of danger, and having done everything that the
crisis demands, to stand firm in your place, fully prepared, immovable, victorious. Yes,
you are victorious. I may not seem like that at
the moment. You may be taking one shot too many
you may have been knocked down. Dust yourself off, dig
(23:55):
your heels, and stand that armor of God. Five defensive pieces,
one offensive one allows you to successfully resist and stand
your ground in the evil day of danger. And when
you've done everything, everything that is needed, everything that is demanded,
(24:18):
just stand firm in place, be immovable, be victorious. Hold
your head up, square your shoulders back. You're not defeated,
you're not cast down. You're not crushed, you're not destroyed.
Leave nothing unfinished. Give no ground to the enemy. If
(24:42):
you give ground to the enemy, he's gonna take it,
and that is not a good thing. John fourteen thirty.
The Lord made this really clear. I will not speak
with you much longer, for the ruler of this world, Satan,
is coming, and he has no claim on me. He
has no power over me, nor anything he can use
(25:05):
against me. Satan had nothing in The Lord had no ground.
The only reason those things happened is because it was
allowed to happen. We can't be victorious if the enemy
has anything he can use against us. So if you
stopped right now, if we stopped right now, if we
(25:27):
were all in a room together, which would be great,
if we were all in a room together. We could
stop and we could start to pray, start to lay hands.
We could start to cast things out, we could start
to heal things. Is there anything in your life, in
your mind, in your heart, in your choices that the
enemy can use against you, Let's deal with it. Let's
(25:53):
cast it down, Let's kick it out. Stand firm, hold
your tighten that wide band of truth, personal integrity, moral
courage around your waist, having put on the breastplate of
righteousness for an upright heart, and having strapped on your
(26:15):
feet the Gospel of peace, in preparation to face the
enemy with firm footed stability and the readiness predicted by
the good News, which we know is the Gospel above all,
Lift up the protective shield of faith with which you
extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one, and
(26:37):
take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit,
which is the Word of God. With all prayer and supplication,
Pray with specific requests at all times, on every occasion
and in every season in the spirit, and with this
in view, stay alert with perseverance, all perseverance and partition,
(27:03):
interceding in prayer for all God's people. The saints. We
are the saints, not just some hand picked person that
some guy in Rome decides as a saint. No, no, no,
we are all the saints of God. So intercede from
one another, stand with one another, Be strong and the
(27:24):
Lord draw that strength from him. Be empowered by the
Holy Spirit in you, and utilize it in authority that's
been delegated to you. Take the unending flow of the
self replicating power of the Holy Spirit, the dunamous power
(27:46):
so imposses. Take up the whole armor of God. It's
a choice. It's been ready made. He's already built it,
he's already declared it. But you have to choose to
take it up. Well, when should I do this, Richard, Well,
in a time when evil prevails, So I guess that
(28:10):
would be now. It's ready made. Just put it on.
Belts of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of the Gospel
of peace, helmet of salvation. So of the spirit. Let's go.
Let's live every day like that. Let's walk every day
like that. The belt of Truth, according to the Life
(28:32):
Application Bible Commentary, is there to stand in the heat
of battle. The order of the piece is listed in
the verses or the order in which your soldier would
put them on. All writes about fastening the belt of
Truth around your waist. This belt was also called the girdle,
(28:56):
was about six inches widely of leather. It held together
the clothing underneath, as well as holding the pieces of
the armor in place, such as the breastplate and the
sheath for the sword. It may have contained a breech
clout an apron that protected the lower abdomen. It may
(29:17):
have also braced the back in order to give strength.
And when the belt was fastened, the soldier was on duty,
ready to fight. A loose, slackened belt meant off duty.
As believers of Yeshia living in the kingdom, we should
never be off duty. We must face each day with
(29:41):
a fastened belt, ready to fight the battle when needed.
You don't have time to tighten it up. It should
be ready to go. It'd be like a soldier walking
around without his gun belt on, and then suddenly he
starts getting shot at, he starts getting attacked. Wait a second,
(30:04):
Wait a second, and I gotta get ready. That's not
how war works. The belt of truth and doctrine and
truth in what you speak and what you say. Truth
holds it all together, and without truth it falls off.
At shifts you become unprotected. See the power of the
(30:29):
Holy Spirit is truth. John sixteen thirteen. However, when he
the Spirit of Truth, has come, he will guide you
into all truth. He will not speak on his own authority,
But whatever he hears, he will speak, and he will
tell you things that come revelation, knowledge, or word of wisdom.
(30:49):
All these things fit in warfare. So this world, which
is in constant change, both naturally and supernaturally, we find
our peace in God, knowing that the truth does not change.
(31:10):
That the values given to us through the Spirit, through
the Word, through this concept are grounded. They're secure because
of the unchanging nature of God. Zecharai eight sixteen tells
us these are the things you shall do. Speak each
(31:33):
man the truth to his neighbor. Give judgment in your
gates for truth, justice and peace. Execute judgment with truth
and peace. Zecharai eight nineteen tells us the love, truth
and peace. Meditate upon the truth Philippians four eight, For
(31:54):
the Spirit is truth of Esians five to nine. How
much more do we need to be told?
Speaker 2 (32:06):
Now?
Speaker 1 (32:06):
When the enemy, the father of lies, attacks with his lies,
With this half truth with his distortions, we as believers
can stand on what we believe. John eight forty four,
speaking to the Sadducees and the Pharisees. You are of
your father, the devil, and the desires of your father
(32:27):
you want to do. He was a murderer from the
beginning and does not stand in the truth because there
is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie,
he speaks from his own resources, for he is a
liar and the father of it. Even when the enemy
speaks something that has a modicum of truth, it is
(32:51):
fully a lie. But that's not what God does. He
sanctifies us by his truth, by his word of truth.
That's what he's the Lord prayed in John seventeen seventeen
for the disciples, sanctify them by your truth. Your word
is truth. The power, the person, and the potency of
(33:16):
God's word, living and written is truth. So we must
be on We must be convinced of it, We must
be unashamed of it, because the truth holds it all together,
and without it we can't win or defeat the enemy.
(33:37):
The breastplate of righteousness a large leather possibly bronze or
chain mail, peace or all of the above put together
to protect the body from the neck to the upper thighs.
It's a breastplate of righteousness, not just any breastplate. Life
application Bible commentary said righteousness provides a significant defense. It
(34:01):
gives the evidence that we have been made right with
God and that this righteousness has been given to us
by the Holy Spirit. Believers have been made righteous through
the blood of Messiah. See we partake of his righteousness,
not our own. The believers then want to live in
(34:23):
uprightness and integrity, desiring, desiring to please the one who
saved them. Yet that won't be easy. It says, Satan
is ready for battle at every turn. He's ready to
test and willing to hit us unfairly from behind. Have
given the chance. Remember this, the enemy doesn't play fair.
(34:47):
Righteousness is the opposite of Satan's complete wickedness. Satan seeks
to thwart righteous living when the enemy, the accuser of
Revelation twelve to ten, come as along and tries to
convince us we're not really saved. The accuser of the
brethren who accuses us day and night before the throne.
(35:10):
Look at them, look at what they did. They're not saved.
They're not born again. Their name's not written in your book.
Let me have them, so that if we keep on
disappointing God, and if we become poor excuses for believers,
we have the ability to seek out His righteousness to
be cleansed through our faith in Yeshuah. Do not allow
(35:36):
the accusations of the enemy have any power. I know
I've heard them. I've had them rail at me over
and over the things I've done my past, how I've
heard people, my family, all those things. But my hope
is in His righteousness, and less nothing less than his righteousness.
(35:57):
His blood has covered those things. The breastplate protects the
vital organs, and it is a vital piece of the
soldier's armor. No soldier would go into battle without his breastplate.
That would just be foolish. And some of them had
a back piece on them too, not many, but the
(36:20):
ones that did would protect them from hiss from behind.
So the Bible tells us that the state in which
we live is His righteousness, the character of the quality
of being right, or just that we stand in it.
And since God himself is the standard of believers, the
(36:41):
righteousness of God means the righteousness which belongs to God
or from God Matthew six thirty three. But seek first
what the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all
these things shall be added to you every day. Get
up and seek it, Ask for it, pray, receive it.
(37:07):
God's righteousness is given, It's credited to those who believe
in His son, in the Messiah, and a righteous way
of life is brought forth by the transforming work, transforming
transformation of the Holy Spirit of God that's in us.
(37:29):
One implies the other Isaiah fifty nine seventeen. For the
Lord put on righteousness as a breastplate or a coat
of mail, and salvation as a helmet upon his head.
He put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and
was clad with zeal and furious divine jealousy as a cloak.
(37:51):
I add that when I pray for the cloak the
armor of God, I pray for the cloak of zeal.
I don't just want to walk around with an armor
on a sword in my hand. I want to have
the zeal that the Lord had for his father's house.
That's why the spirit of truth was sin by him
(38:16):
going away. The comforter or the counsel or the helper,
the advocate, the intercessor, the strengthener, the standby came. He
came in close relationship with us. He sent him to
us to walk in that relationship with us. And when
he came, he convicted the world of sin, convinced them
(38:41):
of their sin and righteousness, the uprightness of heart, being
in right standing with God, and about judgment about sin,
because they do not believe in the Lord. They don't
trust in him, they don't rely on him, they don't
adhere to him about righteousness, their uprightness and heart right
(39:02):
standing with God. Because he went to the Father and
we see him. No longer judgment has come upon the world,
the rule of this prince, the rule of the world.
The prince of this world has been judged, condemned. Sentence
has already passed. He just hasn't been subjected to that yet.
(39:26):
I just gave you John sixteen seven through eleven as
a visual to see to understand the other reason this
press plays important because you have to guard your heart.
Oh boy, do we need to guard our heart. Holmann
Illustrated Bible Dictionary says the heart is the center of physical, mental,
(39:47):
and the spiritual life of God's creation. It became the
focus for all the vital functions of the body, including
both intellectual and spiritual life. The heart and the intellect
are closely connected, the heart being the seat of intelligence.
And we know from all the teachings I've done here
(40:08):
on the porch or at the sea conferences about the
computer of the heart, what it does, how it works.
Proverbs four twenty three. Keep your heart with all diligence,
for out of it spring the issues of life. Jeremiah
seventeen nine and ten. The heart is deceitful above all things,
(40:30):
and desperately wicked. Who can know it? I the Lord
search the heart. I test the mind, even to give
every man according to his ways, according to the fruit
of his doings. The heart is where you will is.
Will you make your conscious decisions, will your human desires
(40:50):
are made? And since there was no Hebrew word for conscious,
they use the word heart, because the heart's thet to
the root of the problem that must be where the
place where God does his work in the individual Matthew six,
(41:13):
verses twenty and twenty one. But lay up for yourself
treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroysm Where thieves.
Do not break in and steal. For where your treasure
is there, your heart will be. Also. For where your
treasure is there, your heart, your wishes, your desires, that
(41:36):
on which your life centers will be. Also so is
your heart centered on God? Is it the dwelling place
of God? It should be. It's where He gave the
down payment of the spirit in our hearts. Now you
have to stand strap on your feet the Gospel of
(42:01):
peace and preparation. Face the enemy with firm footed, stability
and the readiness produced by the good news by the
Gospel of peace. Be prepared, be ready, readiness or instant
availability of stability or motion, ready to do something, ready
(42:21):
to defend or attack withstand which not yield. Stand your ground,
not be moved. Too many people lose their footing because
their ground is shaky. The enemies gotten into the ground
that they stand on. They're not firm footed. Psalm sixteen eight.
(42:42):
I have set the Lord always before me, because he
is at my right hand. I shall not be moved.
He is my defense. I shall not be moved. Life
Application Bible commentary says a soldier or special sandals or
military shoes that protected his feet without slowing him down.
(43:06):
Roman soldiers had special shoes made of soft leather with
studded soles. This allowed them to march further and faster,
as well as giving them facility of motion. In battle,
they could dig in and hold their ground in hand
to hand combat. Firm footed stability, promptness, readiness to preach
(43:27):
the good news. When you are built upon the firm
foundation of the gospel, you were able to take a stand.
When your life is not compromised, when your righteousness is
not compromised, when your heart is right before God, you
can take a stand and spread the gospel. You see
(43:48):
how all these things build upon one another, precept upon precept,
line upon line. If one thing is wrong, they're all affected.
Isaiah fifty two seven. How beautiful upon the mountains are
the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaims peace,
who brings good glad, tidings of good things, who proclaims salvation,
(44:11):
who says, desion, your God reigns you sure means salvation.
We are bringing salvation. We are bringing the name of
the Lord. We are bringing the Gospel, the good news,
to tell him you're free. Your debt's been paid. As believers,
(44:34):
we are ready for battle because of the peace of
God which surpasses all understanding. Gods, our hearts and minds
through Messiah Yeshiah. That's what Philippians four, six and seven
tell me. Don't be anxious or worried about anything, but
in everything, in every circumstance and situation, by prayer and petition,
(45:02):
with thanksgiving, which means you believed you've received it. Continue
to make your specific request known to God and the
peace of God, the peace which reassures the heart. That
peace which transcends all understanding, will stand. God of your
(45:24):
hearts and minds, and Messiah, you show it because it's yours.
When the enemy, the deceiver, offers you false ways to peace,
or tries to get us to focus on our concerns
or our fears, we have the ability to stand against him.
You do it through the word, You do it through
your testimony. We stand firm in peace, even in hand
(45:51):
to hand combat, even when we are actively resisting the enemy,
even when in those times demonic entities show up to
try to reinforce the attack. We can do it knowing
that we're in the right. We're on the winning side,
because he has already won. As believers in the battle,
(46:12):
both the inner piece of Messiah has already been given
to us and the desire to produce peace in the
hearts of others. Ah. And now we get in to
it what this battle is about. It's not just about us.
Yes we are part of it, and yes we do
benefit from it, but there are others that do too.
(46:35):
We can give the Gospel of peace to others who
have not heard or accepted it. Above all, lift up
the protective shield of faith with which you can extinguish
all the flaming arrows of the evil one. See by
this point, when you're spreading the gospel and you're taking
a stand, the enemy is going to start raining down
attacks upon you. So above all, it highlights the importance
(46:59):
of this well. As a soldier, to defend yourself. Your
faith is your defense. It's a protection over every part
of you. It can be turned in every direction. It
can answer any attack. See the romans that Paul is
describing the different types of shields. But this section of
(47:22):
Scriptures is talking about the oblong shield discute them, which
covered the whole body. It was the type of shield
that was commonly used in frontline battles. Slightly curved, hugged
the body in one side by side, created an impenetrable wall. P.
(47:44):
Three three. But you, o Lord, or a shield around
me my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.
There's a praise song that I'll sing that has that
scripture for thou old Lord, or a shield me the
glory and the lifter of my head, the one who
holds my head high. Doesn't matter what's golding going on.
(48:07):
I have faith in you. And these large shields rectangular
pieces of wood iron frame. They were made of leather,
and the leather was soaked in water so that in
the flaming arrows that drenched water would put them out.
The flaming arrows of that day were fire fiery arrows
(48:30):
with the head had been dipped in a flammable fluid
that would set fire to wood and tents and anything
it landed on. But when it landed on that wet shield,
it got put out, coming from every direction. If it's combustible,
(48:51):
the fire is going to destroy it. But you are
not combustible. You have the water of the word. So
when these fiery darts of the wicked that Paul talks
about are sent towards you the temptations of the adversary,
(49:11):
the suggestions of evil and sin, blasphemous thoughts, unbelief, the
temptation to do wrong, or thoughts that would wound or
distress your soul. Lift up your faith against it. Lift
up the Cross against it. Oh. Yes, the cross is
(49:32):
your shield, something you can hide behind. Get with others
close ranks, hold your faith together, support one another. Render
these attacks inert, inactive, and stand strong in the Lord.
And the power of is my faith to a believer
is indispensable in standing strong in the Lord. If you
(49:58):
have faith, your safe, and it doesn't matter which direction
the attacks coming from, you'll be able to block it.
It offers you the protection you need in this spiritual war.
First John chapter five, verses four through five. For everyone
born of God is victorious and overcomes the world. And
(50:20):
this is the victory that has conquered and overcome the world.
Our continuing persistent faith in your shoe of the Son
of God, who is the one who is victorious and
overcomes the world, the one who believes and recognizes the
fact that you, sue Jesus is the son of God.
(50:43):
That's your faith. Faith conquers Satan's temptations to raft, to lust,
the despair, to vengeance, and anything that he can think of.
You can't do it in your own strength. This is
supernatural faith. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword
of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Notice
(51:04):
how those two things go together. The helmet a camp
made of thick leather or brass, fitted to the head,
and usually gloom or a crest on the crown as
an ornament. But it was there to guard the head
from a blow by a sword or a war club
or a battle axe in this case, the helmet of salvation,
according to the believer's study Bible, is a another extremely
(51:26):
important piece of the believer's armor. The Greek word literally
means around the head. The soldier who lost his helmet
was in danger of receiving severe head wounds, which would
at least dis orientum and render him and affect him,
or at worst to kill him. Don't lose your head.
Don't lose your head in battle. What holds it all together?
(51:50):
The trust in your salvation. What is the main thing
the enemy likes to attack. You're not saved, You're not
born again. First Thessalonians five, verses six through eight, Therefore,
let us not sleep as others do, But let us
watch and be sober. For those who sleep sleep at night,
(52:11):
those who get drunk or drunk at night. But let
us who are of the day, be sober, putting on
the breastplate of faith and love, and as the helmet
the hope of salvation. See Salvation says, I can repent.
Salvation says my name is written in the Lamb's book
of life. Satan no longer has access to me. So
(52:33):
since we, as believers, belong to the day, let us
be sober. Let us put on the breastplate of faith
and love and the helmet of salvation and the hope
and confidence assurance of our salvation. See that faith and
that love is in our hearts, and it's in our minds.
When you look at this not just as peace by peace,
(52:55):
but as the entire armor of God, you see how
they all work together synergistically, supernaturally. They empower one another.
The hope of salvation, the well founded belief that we
are preserved in the final day of conflict. Doesn't matter
what the enemy says, doesn't matter how the enemy strikes
(53:18):
my heart, my mind are saved. I'm redeemed. My soul
is defended. There's nothing the enemy can say or do
to take that from me. A soldier would not fight
well without the hope of victory. So as a believer,
we cannot contend with our foes, with the enemy, with
(53:38):
the powers of darkness, without the hope of final salvation.
We have certain hope. We have no chance of disappointment
Romans five to five. Such hope, in God's promises never
disappoints us, because God's love has been abundantly poured out
within our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who is given
(54:01):
to us. So it's added to the shield of faith.
It protects the head of the soldier. Why, because this
is a war, and the battlefield is the mind Psalm
ninety four eleven. The Lord knows the thoughts of man.
They are futile, they are vain, they are empty. Satan's
(54:22):
playing out an eternal mind game against humanity. It's started
in the garden. If you understand that, and when you
read Tewod Corinthians ten three through six out loud, you
understand that the war is in our mind. It's to
pull down those arguments, it's to pull down the every
(54:44):
exalted lie and prideful things, Satan would tell us, which
goes against the knowledge of God. That helmet protects the mind.
Your salvation protects and purifies your soul. Otherwise, Satan would
tempt us to despair. Don't despair, because now you have
(55:08):
the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
You're ready to do something about this battle. You're not
just taking the shots. You're not just blocking the shots.
You're about to offer your own. The Word of God
is living and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword,
piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, of
(55:30):
joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts
and intents of the heart. For there is no creature
hidden from his sight, and all things are naked and
open to the eyes of Him, to whom we must
give a count Hebrews four, verses twelve and thirteen. The
sword of the Spirit the only offensive weapon mentioned by Paul,
(55:53):
and the Word of God is that offensive weapon. Believer
study Bible says the sword of the Spirit the makaira,
was an offensive weapon. It was the short two edged
sword that the Roman legioneers carried it. They were deadly
accurate with it, just like the word of God is
deadly accurate against the enemy. Yashiwa used the word of
(56:18):
God both defensively and offensively against Hastaton and Luke Chapter four,
Revelation two twelve. These things, says he who has the
sharp two edged sword coming out of his mouth. It's
extremely difficult to approach a soldier who's well trained in
the use of a makaira. The short two edged sword
(56:41):
could move rapidly in every direction. It could strike, it
could block, it could come down, it could go up.
Proper use of scripture and spiritual warfare enables us as
believers to stand against the whiles of the devil. So
(57:03):
the word of God knowing it is necessary to respond
against the attacks of the enemy. It's not your opinion.
It's not what you think about the word. It's not
what somebody else said about the word. It's you knowing
the actual word of God. Jeremiah twenty three, twenty nine
(57:23):
is not my word. Like a fire, says the Lord,
And like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces,
the word of God will break apart every rock of
Satan's argument against you, every scheme, every plan, every false lie.
Then notice what he says next, praying always with all
(57:46):
prayer and supplication in the spirit, being watchful to this end,
with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints, and
for me, that utterance may be given to me, that
I may open my mouth boldly to me known the
mystery of the Gospel. Ohs, we're finally getting to the why.
John Wesley was a famous evangelists. He spent two hours
(58:08):
a day in prayer. God does nothing except in response
to believing prayer, because prayer is where the action is.
See the armor is the what of spiritual warfare? Prayer?
As to how with all prayer to every different kinds
of prayer public, private, in your closet, out in the open,
(58:32):
in business, in your car, in your mind, and your
heart with the voice, without a voice, all prayer in English,
in your prayer language doesn't matter. If your heart is
right and you are standing in the peace of that
Gospel and you have His righteousness, speak it, pray it,
(58:57):
say it with all prayer and supplication. That's a different
kind of prayer. Somethink it's the prayer for the attainment
of a good or for averting evil. Psalm sixty one
verses one through four. Hear my cry, O, God, attend
(59:17):
to my prayer. From the end of the earth. I
will cry to you, and my heart is overwhelmed. Lead
me to the rock that is higher than I for
You've been a shelter for me, a strong tower from
the enemy. I will abide in your tabernacle forever. I
will trust in the shelter of your wings. Say Law.
(59:39):
Supplication is that continued, strong and persistent pleadings till evil
is averted or the good is communicated, meaning the Gospel
is received. It should be in and through the spirit.
The heart should be engaged in it, but it should
(59:59):
be helped by the Holy Spirit. What does he say?
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit,
Walk in the spirit, Live in the spirit. Home and
Bible Dictionary says intercession is the act of intervening or
mediating between differing parties, particularly the act of praying to
(01:00:23):
God on behalf of another person. This is the real warfare.
True intercession involves more than just prayer in general. It
is a sense of a burden and a responsibility when
you intercede for someone that comes from your heart. John
Calvin says, our prayers must not be self centered. It
(01:00:48):
must not arise only because we feel our own need
as a burden we must lay upon God, but also
because we are so bound up in love for our
fellow men that we feel their needed as acutely as
our own. To make intercession for men in the most
powerful and practical way in which we can express is
(01:01:09):
which we excuse me. I have just got hit a
little while ago by the Holy Spirit. I can barely
hold it together. To make intercession for men is the
most powerful and practical way in which week can express
our love for them, powerful, supernatural, foundation shaking prayer. And
(01:01:42):
how do we do it? It's right there in Romans
eight twenty six through twenty seven. Likewise, the Spirit also
helps us in our weaknesses, for we do not know
what we should pray for as we ought, But the
Spirit himself makes intercession for us us with groanings which
cannot be uttered. Now, he who searches the hearts and
(01:02:05):
minds knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because
he makes it his session for all the saints, according
so the will of God. You don't and to pray,
Holy Spirit, help me help me pray, because we know
that our heavenly Father accepts a believer's prayer and praises
(01:02:26):
because not only is the Spirit of helping us, but
the Messiah, the King, his son, is interceding for us
right there before him, next to the throne. His death,
his blood removed our sin. His resurrection gave us life.
We are born again. His ascension exalted him to the
(01:02:51):
right hand of God, and he delegated that power to us.
How can we not utilize it in your seed? For
our brothers and sisters pray all the time. Psalm five
was one through three. David understood, give ear to my words,
Oh Lord, consider my meditation. Give heed to the voice
(01:03:14):
of my cry, my King and my God. For to
you I will pray. My voice you shall hear in
the morning, Oh Lord. In the morning I will direct
it to you, and I will look up Psalm eighty
eight thirteen. But to you I have cried out, Oh Lord,
And in the morning, my prayer comes before you. Cory
ten Boom, very powerful woman of prayer, said, don't pray
(01:03:39):
when you feel like it. Have an appointment with the
Lord and keep it a man, and I'll add her
a woman is powerful on their knees, make that appointment,
keep it. If you say you're going to do it,
he expects you to be there. So what I do now, Richard,
what do I do with all of this? Well, first,
Peter Force seven tells me the end of all things
(01:04:01):
is at hand. Therefore, be serious and watchful in your prayers.
Brothers and sisters. We need to get serious. This isn't
about me, This isn't about s RT. This isn't about
who I am or what I do. That's gonna happen anyway.
I'm gonna do what I'm called to do. It doesn't
matter what comes against me. It doesn't matter what's in
my way. It doesn't matter what Satan does or any
(01:04:24):
of the fallen that have come up against me or
the team do. I don't care. I'm gonna stand strong
in the Lord and the powers might the sort of
the spirit's gonna be in my hand. I know that
there will be one or two fighting with me, and
we'll just take on all comers from every side. It
doesn't matter. You want to shoot arrows, that's fine, we'll
(01:04:44):
throw up the shields. But we're also gonna move forward.
We're not just gonna stand there. We're gonna be immovable,
but we're gonna be victorious. And I found this quote
by an Australian author, the theologian and preacher Jay Sidlow Baxter,
that I think sums it all up. Men may spurn
our appeals, reject our message, oppose our arguments, despise our persons,
(01:05:13):
but they are helpless against our prayers. And that's where
we are right now.
Speaker 2 (01:05:20):
Church.
Speaker 1 (01:05:21):
We need to pray, we need to intercede. We need
to take a stand. We need to set the captives free.
We need to speak the gospel. We need to love
on one another. We need to show the world that
we're different. We need to destroy the arguments of the enemy.
We need to rise up with wings as eagles. We
need to be ready and seizon and out to do
(01:05:44):
what must be done to destroy the works of darkness.
It's about setting the captives free. It's about plundering the
strong man's goods. People want to build buildings, let them.
People want to build man made kingdoms, or further the name,
or build a brand, let them. Don't be distracted by it.
Let's stand side by side, Let's go do this. Let's
(01:06:08):
shake this world one last time again. I use the
example of the of the resistance fighters in World War Two.
They are like the Remnant. They disrupted, they destroyed, they fought,
and they held things before the bigger army of the
Allied forces could show up. Well, we are the remnant.
(01:06:30):
We will disrupt, we will destroy, We will interfere with
what the enemy's doing until the King of Kings and
the Lord of Lord's army returns. We are the resistance
fighters of the day the Remnant is. We are the
ones holding it back. We are the ones doing what
must be done, making straight the highway because the king
(01:06:54):
is coming. The King is coming. Father Abbah Papa, for
every heart that has been opened, flood them with your love,
Flood them with your word. Flood them with your righteousness,
your power, your glory, and your mercy. For every mind
that is suddenly clear, Let the word resided them. Download
(01:07:15):
into them what they need to know and understand. Give
them the scriptures right on their lips when they need
to be spoken. If they hold the sword and they're
willing to wield it, let it be ready, let it
be swift, let it be powerful. Let your word go
forth in a way that shatters the enemy, shatters anything
(01:07:39):
the enemy can do, and Let us do it in
faith for your glory. The only thing that matters is
you Lord, your kingdom, your glory, forever and ever a man.
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the
(01:07:59):
Lord may I don't know, I make his face to
shine upon you, be gracious to you. May the Lord
I don't know. You're sure a hummashiack Jesus the Messiah,
lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
Give you shall Om. I'm Richard Grund. This has been
