Speaker 1 (00:22):
Welcome, Welcome to the Porch on Firefall Talk Radio. I'm
Richard Grund. This is where we get back to basics,
the Red Letter basics of the Word of God, focusing
on the Book of Axs Church to see how they
serve the Lord. When we do that, we find the
church the Lord intended and not the one that man created.

(00:44):
The Porch is a non denominational, full Gospel approach to
the Bible based on the examples from that Book of
ax Church. It aims to restore the priesthood of the
believer to regain the world shaking influence at the early Church,
the Church ages and over. The Upper Room experience is

(01:05):
as much for today as it was on the day
of Pentecost. The fire still burns. It's yours if you
want it. We offer you the Word as the Apostles
would have to the Jewish and Gentile believers of their day,
using both Yeshua and Jesus. When speaking of the Lord,

(01:26):
we prefer the term Messiah rather than Christ, as it
more accurately reflects how he was referred to by those
who knew him. Additionally, we provide definitions in Hebrew, Greek,
and Aramaic when necessary. Getting back to basics isn't just
our motto. It's a mandate from the Lord and we

(01:49):
take it seriously. Links to all of ours social media

Thank you for the hunger and desire for the word.

(02:34):
Contact us if you need prayer. You'd like to pray
for others in the porch community. We care about you,
don't forget that. Please pray for us, my family and
I for healing from a the current bug that is
going around. I'm going to do my best. So far,
I feel okay, but you just never know. It's been
an interesting couple of days. Pray for our persecuted brothers

(02:58):
and sisters around the world. It increases as we get
closer to the end the attacks as well as what
took place. I think in Minnesota. I think it was Minnesota.
I didn't write it down where a transgender activist shot

(03:19):
up a Catholic school, killing children and injuring a bunch
of people. It just doesn't end, folks, It just doesn't end. Yep.
I think it's in Minnesota. Yep, Minneapolis Catholic school. Two
children are dead, seventeen year old transgender activist. I won't

(03:46):
even mention his name. I'm not going to give them
the glory. But we know what's going on. We know
who's behind these things. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem
and everything that's going on in the Middle East, because
we need the Prince of Peace to return to establish
a lasting peace. Remember when they say peace, sudden destruction

(04:06):
will be upon them. Lord, We thank you, We thank
you for your grace, We thank you for your healing mercies.
We thank you for your virtues and everything that you
would offer us right now in the name of Yashuah.
We know that you've given us the ability to withstand

(04:29):
and endure everything the enemy in this fallen world does
to us. Pray for those families in Minneapolis who are
suffering today. Let them turn to you in spirit and truth,
Lord and find you, seeking you with their whole heart.

(04:50):
We pray for the family of the shooter who now
have to live with the shadow hanging over them. We
thank you for your love, your grace, mercy. We thank
you for being able to come together to talk about
your word, to hear your voice, to know you better.

(05:10):
We pray healing right now upon each and every one
of us homes, lands, family's, pets, possessions, protect us from
evil and the evil ones. I thank you for my family.
I thank you for everything you've done for me and
everything that you're doing. I thank you for the blessings
that can only come from above to do everything that
You've called us to do in this hour. So we

(05:33):
ask right now, Lord, that you would touch us, that
you would reach out to us, that you would be
the shield about us, the glory and the lifter of
our head. We clear our minds, We take our thoughts
captive to the obedience of Messiah. We claim the mind
of Messiah, casting down every vain imagination, every demonic thought

(05:55):
that would desire to rise above the knowledge of elis
on Godmost High, our Father, holy experience. This is your time.
Do whatever it is you want to do, take control,
protect the technology, and Lord, please let us hear what

(06:17):
you want us to hear. And I pray all these
things in your Shoe's name. Amen.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
You get those Bibles open, Let's get ready, Luke twenty
four forty nine. The Lord said, behold, I send the
promise of my Father upon you, but tarry in the
city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from
on high. Listen carefully. I am sending the promise of

(07:26):
my Father the Holy Spirit upon you. But you are
to remain in the city of Jerusalem until you are clothed,
fully equipped with power from on High, indued, clothed soaked
into to give qualities, properties, or abilities to That's what

(07:49):
happened on the day of Pentecost. That's what began. Then
and still flows. Now the power of the Kingdom is
the Holy Spirit given to the Church Pentecostaic just the
beginning of the harvest, bringing men in, women and people
and families into fellowship and worship, teaching and service. The

(08:13):
Holy Spirit opened the door into a growing relationship through
the Spirit with other believers. It led to a life
of service where the gifts of the Spirit provide power
and wisdom to spread the Gospel and grow the church.
The means and the power for service come through the

(08:36):
gifts of the Spirit. It can't be done any other way,
and the gifts of the Spirit need to be distinguished
from the gift of the Spirit through salvation. The baptism
was necessary before the disciples were able to leave Jerusalem

(08:56):
to fulfill the Great Commission, and it's necessary for us.
They needed power, they needed the gift. They needed the dunamus,
that self replicating explosive power the Holy Spirit gifts. So
we've been focused on One Corinthians twelve. I'll start with

(09:20):
verse four. Now, there are distinctive varieties of spiritual gifts,
special abilities given by the grace and extraordinary power of
the Holy Spirit operating in believers, but it is the
same Spirit who grants them and empowers believers. And there
are distinctive varieties of ministries and service, but it is

(09:44):
the same Lord who is served. And there are distinctive
ways of working to accomplish things. But it is the
same God who produces all things in all believers, inspiring,
energizing and empowering them. But to each one has given

(10:05):
the manifestation of the Spirit, the spiritual illumination and enabling
of the Holy Spirit for the common good. To one
is given through the Holy Spirit, the power to speak
the message of wisdom to another, the power to express
the express excuse me, the word of knowledge and understanding
according to the same Spirit. To another, wonder working faith

(10:29):
is given by the same Holy Spirit. And to another
the extraordinary gifts of healings by the One Spirit to another,
the working of miracles, those wonderful events or occurrences beyond
human capability, which manifests the supernatural power of God and
fulfill His purpose. To another. Prophecy foretelling the future, speaking

(10:53):
a new message from God to the people to another.
Discernment of spirits, the ability to distinguish sound godly doctrine
from the deceptive doctrine of man made religions and cults,
to another, various kinds of unknown tongues, and to another
interpretation of tongues. All these things, all these things, all

(11:18):
these things, the gifts, the achievements, the abilities, the empowering,
are brought about by the one and the same Holy Spirit,
distributing to each one individually, just as he chooses. In
his book Taking Action, Receiving and Operating of the Gifts

(11:39):
and the Power of the Holy Spirit, Reinard Bank said,
the Holy Spirit is not directed by Christians. He directs Christians.
We must not usurp the sovereign prerogatives of Almighty God.
The definitive New Testament chapters concerning spiritual gifts first Corinthians

(12:02):
twelve through fourteen tell us to desire gifts, especially to prophesy,
but they never suggest that gifts can be conferred by
one person upon another, as we would expect if that
was how God meant it to be. Instead, the stress
is laid upon people desiring, seeking, praying, but never that

(12:30):
one should pray for another to receive. What is stated
in One Corinthians twelve eleven is that the Spirit apportions
to each one individually as he wills. He's addressing there
when people come together in church meetings, services, whatever you
want to call them, to confer the gifts, to give

(12:54):
an impartation in all those things. It's not scriptural, it's
not biblical, but it starts with seeking first the kingdom
of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall
be added to you. The Lord said Matthew six thirty three.
He said something else that I believe applies to the

(13:15):
gifts Matthew seven, starting verse seven, Ask and it will
be given to you. Seek and you will find. Knock
and it will be opened to you. For everyone who
asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him
who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is

(13:39):
there among you, who, if his son asks for bread,
will give him a stone, or if he asks for
a fish, will give him a serpent. If you, then,
being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children,
how much more will your Father, who is in heaven,
give good things to those who ask him. Keep on asking,

(14:05):
and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on
seeking and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the
door will be open to you. That word ask a
verb to request, to petition, to demand. That's what you're doing,

(14:28):
to seek, to search for it, to desire, to require again,
to demand, to knock, to continually rap on that door,
like beating it with a stick to gain admittance. See
the goal here, as Paul starts out Verse Corinthians twelve.

(14:52):
The goal here is not to be ignorant of the
spiritual grace and favor given to us by God through
the Holy Spirit. When the Spirit comes into your life,
he brings with him a gift or gifts, which you

(15:13):
can use to serve God. Verse Peter four ten says
each one is a good manager of God's different gifts,
must use for the good of others, the special gifts
gift that he has received from God. So I say
to you tonight, understand, ask, seek, knock. That's the pattern

(15:39):
we've been given, and nothing's changed. Hebrews thirteen eight. Jesus
the messiahs the same yesterday, today, and forever. Malachi three six.
I am the Lord, and I do not change James
one point seventeen. Every good gift, in every perfect gift,

(16:03):
is from above. It comes down from the Father of
all that gives light and the shining, of whom there
can be no variation, no rising or setting or shadow
cast by his turning. All gifts, good gifts come from
above and do not change. So then why do some
in the body believe that the gifts of the spirit

(16:28):
have changed or diminished. The church age began on the
day of Pentecost, and it's not complete until the Lord returns.
As long as the church is here, the church age
is on going. That means we need we need the gifts,
We need the charisma. The charis the grace, the unmerited

(16:51):
favor of God manifesting in spiritual supernatural favor, even the
sunshine and the rain or acts of grace. The Lord
says in Matthew five point forty five, he makes his
son rise on the evil and on the good, and
sends rain on the just and the unjust. That's favor

(17:13):
our father, Abah Papa is a God of grace. That's
his character. That's the God that we have access to
because it's only by his grace that we can approach him.
We earn nothing that he gives us, certainly not the

(17:36):
spiritual gifts, the ability to wield his power. Everything we
have is a demonstration of the goodness from his heart
towards us, whether it's the food, the sunshine, the breath
we breathe, it doesn't matter even if the weather is wet.

(17:58):
The rain is a gift from God. And it's amazing,
at least to me anyway, that the grace that I'm
talking about is completely free. We didn't pay for it,
we didn't do anything for it, we didn't seek it.
He just gave it to us. He loves us that much,

(18:20):
and it's there all the time, just like the air
we breathed. The kar's mata that Paul is talking about
literally means grace skifts sovereignly and undeservedly given to us
by His Holy Spirit, which means there's no basis for

(18:42):
boasting or envy or any of those human things. Every
member of the body has the same place and purpose,
their own, specifically chosen by Him, And just because somebody's
more or less prominent in the eyes of the same
standard applies to all of us. It's required of us

(19:06):
as stewards of His gifts to be found faithful one
Corinthians four one or two. Let a man so consider
us as servants of Messiah and stewards of the mysteries
of God. Moreover, it is required in stewards that one
be found faithful. So the gifts of the spirit, they're

(19:28):
never described as natural talents like a gift from music
or art. Those are our own abilities that we can
choose to use, whether for good or evil. I know
the gifts of the spirit that I'm talking about in
one Corinthians twelve are super natural manifestations of the spirit,

(19:49):
and they only operate according to God's will, as the
Spirit gives utterance, as he chooses, as he desires, as
he hand picked, and our will to use them depends
on his will and his timing. The greatest problem challenge, hindrance,

(20:10):
whatever you want to call it, I see in the body,
is we get in God's way. We don't understand. It's
his will, his way, it's his timing, not ours, Because
he knows what's best for us, knowing the end from
the beginning. He knows when is the perfect time for

(20:32):
it to be time. So the manifestation of the spirit
is given to each one for the profit of all,
says in one Corinthiane's twelve to seven. That word manifestation
for nahrul to show openly or to make manifests of
the spirit. The Holy spirit through Rua kak Kadesh shows
himself openly to the body, to God's children, but we

(20:58):
need to recognize him and his actions. The other thing
that God's purpose in giving gifts has a little to
do with self esteem. This isn't about us. We can't
ask for gifts in order to feel more powerful or

(21:18):
important or significant. Look at what James says in James
four to three. When you ask, you don't get it
because your motives are all wrong. You want only what
will give you pleasure. Been there, I've seen it. People
want the gifts to stand out. They want the gifts

(21:39):
to show who they are. They want the gifts to
be their bad. Hey look at me, I'm super spiritual.
I've been chosen by God. Well, just remember he chose
a donkey to stop the madness of a prophet, which
means I guess he could use you and me too.
So when we make our goal to be available to

(22:01):
God and to seek to serve others for the Lord
for his sake, our spiritual gifts will rise to the surface.
Oswald Chambers says, there's one thing we cannot imitate. We
cannot imitate being full of the Holy Ghost. I've seen

(22:23):
people try to imitate fake the gifts, but you cannot
imitate being sincerely full of the spirit, being full of
the Holy Spirit. So there are a number of gifts
mentioned in Romans twelve sixth grade, one Corinthians twelve a
through ten, then again in one Corinthians twelve twenty eight

(22:44):
thirty Ephesians four eleven, one Peter four nine eleven. But
we're only talking about at least for now, one Corinthians
twelve eight through ten, the Word of wisdom, word of knowledge, faith, miracles,
discerning of spirits, prophecy, tongues, and in the interpretation of tongues.

(23:10):
Remember where this started. There was a problem in corinth
These people were a supernatural people that had come out
of the occult. They'd come out of the paranormal, so
they understood. They wanted to manifestations. They wanted to do
in the church what they had done before. Everything's out
of control, and some people saying it's this. Some people

(23:31):
are saying it's that. Paul says, hey, concerning spiritual gifts, brethren,
I do not want you to be ignorant. I don't
want you to misunderstand this. I don't want you to
be misinformed that word ignorant means not to know through

(23:54):
lack of information or intelligent intelligence. By implication, it means
to ignore, either through aversion or unwillingness. It's a verb.
It's the action of being ignorant. And boy, oh boy
a boy a boy. So we have ignorance flowing in
abundance these days. But I'll tell you this, it will

(24:19):
not be an excuse. When you stand before him, you
won't be able to say, well, wait a second, I
was taught this by so and so. I read this
in a book. I went to that seminar. I was
there the whole weekend, And no, there's none of that.
Do your own study. Know the word, know the scriptures,

(24:42):
know what's being said, content and context. So the scriptures
they list five speaking gifts prophecy, teaching, encouragement, the Word
of wisdom, word of knowledge. Then we have in addition
serving gifts of them helps, mercy, faith, discernment of spirits, leadership, managing,

(25:06):
and giving. And they are all designed to work together
for the purpose of the Kingdom. Seek first, the Kingdom,
not man's, not abominations, denominations, organizations, doesn't matter. It's about
the Kingdom of God. So these things wisdom and knowledge

(25:30):
and healings and tongues. They're the manifestations of the Holy Spirit.
They're his actions. He chooses who he's going to use
when he's going to use them. It just simply means
that a certain individual is used by the Holy Spirit

(25:51):
in a particular manner. Could be prophecy, could be miracles,
could be anything. And never forget that his power. It's
not some impersonal force that we can just play with,
be casual about the powers of the Spirit, and it

(26:11):
is God in action. In context, it's the same personal
force that created the heavens and the earth, that spoke
the angels into existence. It would make sense by Hasaitan
and the fallen would want us to misunderstand them or
misuse them, because they know the true power of them,

(26:37):
the Holy Spirit, the Rua Kakkadesh. He was there in
the beginning, and he will be there at the end. Therefore,
it's his work now through the Church that will complete
at all. So to say that people have some more
of the Holy Spirit here, have some, let me throw

(26:59):
some on you. I'll give you more anointing. It's glib
and it's disrespectful. You can't throw a glass of God
at people. The Holy Spirit is not a spiritual commodity
for evangelist or teachers to dispense as they please to
get the crowd's attention or get people excited. If we

(27:23):
could ever get holiness back in the church, we could
ever get holiness back in these meetings, who knows how
powerful we could actually be. So let's talk about the
first one mentioned. Word of wisdom Sophia refers to a
proclamation or declaration of wisdom specifically suited to a situation

(27:45):
or a problem. It's based on divine revelation rather than
human ability. It provides supernatural insight and practical application of
God's word to meet the need at hand. So it's
not human, it's not secular. It's based on Him and

(28:11):
his word. It's the ability to apply the principles of
the Word of God in a practical way to specific
situations and to recommend the best course of action at
the best time to whoever needs it. The exercise of

(28:34):
this gift skillfully distilled spiritual insight and discernment into supernaturally
inspired advice. So what was going on in the Church
and Corinth was there was a debate over wisdom, human
versus divine, which was common day in the Greeks of

(28:55):
that day. That's why at the beginning of the of
the letter, you know, from chapter one, verse seventeen to
chapter two, verse sixteen, Paul spends several paragraphs of this
letter explaining the difference between God's wisdom and human wisdom.

(29:17):
You might want to dwell on that. You might want
to go there and just remember when I share something
with you, a story or an excerpt, it's meant for
you to go look up the rest. Remember we're not birds. Here.
Will you sit in and nest with your mouth open,
saying feed me regurgitated word. Now I feed you what

(29:38):
the Lord gives me, to feed you, to inspire you
to want more, to go look for more. Now, all
believers born again believers are given wisdom from the spirit,
but some are given the ability to give a message

(30:00):
of wisdom. First Corinthians, Chapter two, starting verse thirteen. These
things we also speak not in words which man's wisdom teaches,
but with the whole which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing
spiritual things with spiritual But the natural man does not

(30:21):
receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they
are foolishness to him, nor can he know them, because
they are spiritually discerned. He who is spiritual judges all things.
Yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For
who has the mind of the Lord, that he may
instruct him? But we have the mind of Messiah. The

(30:45):
natural man cannot receive the things of the Spirit of God.
Stop trying to share with the world things that they
cannot understand. God's Spirit gives super natural wisdom or knowledge
to some believers so that they can share it with

(31:06):
the body, always about the building up of the body,
And I believe that it fulfills the promise given by
the Lord in Luke twenty one fifteen. I'll start with
verse twelve of Luke twenty one. But before these things
they will lay hands on you and prosecute you, in

(31:28):
delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons. You will
be brought before kings and rulers for my Name's sake.
But it will turn out for you as on occasion
for testimony, on an occasion for testimony. Therefore, settle it
in your hearts not to meditate beforehand on what you

(31:48):
will answer, for I will give you a mouth and
wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to
contradict or resist to remember in Acts in the Book
of Acts, when Peter and John are prosecuted for healing
the man at the gay Beautiful and they go before
the Sanhedron and they speak to them and say what

(32:10):
they say. The men look at them in marvel because
they know that these are fishermen. They're not educated, they're
not rabbis. But yet they realize they have been with Yashia.
They have a knowledge, they have a wisdom, they have
an ability to respond that is not natural. We should

(32:34):
all have that, We should all seek that, be slow
to speak, to listen to the spirit before we open
our mouths. I always do better when I do that.
Then we have the word of knowledge, which is the
ability to discover, analyze, and even systematize truth for the

(32:57):
benefit of others. With this gift, one speaks with understanding,
and it penetrates into the mind, into the heart of
the matter. It's supernatural perception. And the word of knowledge
is knowledge that is given to us supernaturally. It didn't

(33:18):
come from your own study. It is spontaneous. You would
know it in the natural. We can see that very clearly.
The manifestation of it even before the day of Pentecost.
The Matthew sixteen, starting verse thirteen, when Jesus, you see it,
came to the region of Cesarea Philippi. He said to

(33:39):
the disciples, who do people say the son of Man
is well? They replied, some say John the Baptist, some
say Elijah, others say Jeremiah, one of the prophets. Then
he asked them, but who do you say I am
and Simon. Peter answered, you are the Messiah, the son

(33:59):
of the lie God. And Yashua replied, you are blessed, Simon,
son of John, because my Father in Heaven has revealed
this to you. You did not learn this from any
human being. That's where Peter got that from, spoken into

(34:22):
his spirit, spoken into him by the Holy Spirit. That's
what he built upon. He built upon that revelation, not
upon Peter himself. He built on the rock of that revelation.
That's what the powers of hell could not conquer. That's
what the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven was all about.

(34:44):
We've seen First Corinthians one, starting verse four, Paul says,
I thank my God always concerning you for the grace
of God, which was given to you by Messiah, Yeshuah,
that you were enriched in everything by him, in all
utterance and all knowledge, even as the testimony of Messiah

(35:04):
was confirmed in you, so that you come short in
no gift, eagerly waiting for the revelation of our Lord,
Jesus the Messiah. I don't know, you're sure, Hamashiah. See,
the Corinthians believed that they had special knowledge. That's what
they thought. And maybe they were maybe they were very smart.

(35:29):
They had a wealth of wisdom and knowledge which they
had acquired naturally, which leads to pride. I call them eggheads.
We have congregations full of them. But true wisdom, true
spiritual knowledge, can only be found in the Lord, can

(35:52):
only be given through the Holy Spirit. That extraordinary knowledge
that is needed at that moment, the knowledge of spiritual realities,
where he opened your mind and shows you things that
line up with the Word that he then confirms that
no teacher could have imparted. I've gone through periods of

(36:17):
that where he has shown me things that I would
initially reject, and then he would take me into the
scriptures and he would take and show me, Oh that's
what that means, that's what you meant there. This is
what's happening now, knowledge by the way that the fallen

(36:38):
have secretly given to their followers, corrupted of course, twisted
for their purposes, but the Church for some reason can't
latch onto it. But I've seen a pattern that when
the Lord wants the body to know something, people all
over the world will have similar revelations at the same time.

(37:04):
And that's the Spirit doing that. Unfortunately, then you'll have
people try to capitalize on that and build their own
brand or their own following, or make money from it.
I believe that when that happens, the Lord stops speaking
to those people, he stops trusting them with the treasure
of his knowledge. Now we have faith. The spiritual gift

(37:27):
of faith that's listed in one Corinthians twelve, verse nine
states that some people are given a gift of faith,
but it's not specifically explained because all of us have
a saving faith given to us on the you know, salvation,

(37:49):
but not all believers are given supernatural spiritual faith, an
unusual measure of trust in the power of God. This
spiritual gift of great faith wasn't required for salvation, but

(38:10):
it is required for God's special needs when he needs
something done. The supernatural ability to believe in God without
human doubt, without unbelief, and without reasoning about it. If
you're going to go into I don't understand, you've immediately
short circuited the event. Just do what he said do

(38:36):
So many times, especially when I was a baby believer,
younger believer, Lord say do this, and I would just
do it without thinking because I didn't know any better. Then,
as I get older and smarter and more mature in
the spirit, I've done more teachings, I've done more speakings.
I've read more books. You can have a ten and

(39:00):
see to pause, to question, but you learn. You get
back to that place of if he said it, I'm
going to do it. Doesn't matter how I look, doesn't
matter what the natural outcome is. I believe it's him,
and I believe He's going to use it. Like all
the gifts of the Holy Spirit, this spiritual gift of

(39:22):
faith is for the common good. It's for the edification
of the body of the Lord. You know, sometimes the
Spirit will provide believers with this extraordinary confidence in God's
promises and his power and his presence. It enables them
to take heroic stands like the disciples did at times

(39:49):
to help the future the working of the body of
the Church, and it's exhibited with strong, supernatural and unshakable
confidence in God and his word and his promises. You
see that in Hebrews chapter eleven, the Heroes of Faith,

(40:12):
the Hall of Faith. They had extraordinary faith. They did
things that made no sense, and they weren't born again,
and they did not have the gifts of the spirits.
Or how much more should we be doing for him
right now? Extraordinary superhuman things that make no sense, that

(40:34):
are a sign and a wonder that made people go, boy,
I wonder about that sign. The Life Application Bible Commentary
says the next two gifts, healing in miracles doing miracles
are listed separately, but the gift of the faith, the
gift of supernatural faith, is connected to the ability to

(40:59):
do healings and miracles through the Holy Spirit. So that
the gift of faith would also have to be manifested
in believers' willingness to face persecution and martyrdom for what
they were about to do without renouncing what they believed.
I believe it looking at our brothers and sisters around

(41:22):
the world that are facing gunfire, fires, being burned to death,
being hacked up by machetes. The supernatural faith, healings, the
gift of healings plural and miracles are the visual manifestation

(41:45):
of the Holy Spirit. It's the supernatural power to heal
all manner of sickness without human aid or medicine. We
saw that the woman with the issue of blood. But
he told the disciples in Mark sixteen, verses seventeen through eighteen,
these signs will follow those who believe in my name.

(42:08):
They will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues.
They would take up serpents, and if they drink anything deadly,
it'll by no means hurt them. They will lay hands
on the sick, and they will recover. Sign of the Messiah.
In Acts chapter three, the man at the gate beautiful
in verse six, Peters says to him silver and gold

(42:30):
I do not have. But what I do have, I
give to you in the name of Jesus, the Messiah
from Nazareth. Rise up and walk. And he took him
by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately
his feet and ankle bones received strength. So he the
layman at the gate, leaping up and stood and walked

(42:52):
and entered the temple with them, walking, leaping and praising God.
Never forget when you visualize this marror, this is a
man who has been lame from birth. The muscles are
at your feet and have not formed, the tendons and
the synapse, and everything has never been made right. The

(43:14):
bones are probably wrong too. And in the blink of
an hygeh boom, he's up, walking, leaping, praising God again.
And we see Acts fourteen, verse eight Paul's in life
to a certain man without strength in his feet, was
sitting a cripple from his mother's womb, who had never walked.

(43:37):
This man heard Paul speaking. Paul, observing him intently, and
seeing that he had faith to be healed, said with
a loud voice, stand up straight on your feet, and
he leaped and walked. We don't just will he nearly
go around laying hands on people and healing them. Paul saw, Ah,

(44:00):
this man was listening, he had a desire, he had
a faith to be healed. He was observing him intently
and said, stand up straight on your feet, and he did.
Then we have miracles, the working of miracles, which I

(44:21):
believe that I agree with the commentaries, the two pretty
much are tied together, and it's tied to faith. We
always hear that word in the midst of it. And
maybe the reason we don't see a whole lot of
miracles is because we don't have a whole lot of
that kind of faith, and we don't have a lot
of people willing to take the risk to step out
and do what the spirit says do. Miracles the supernatural

(44:46):
power to intervene in the ordinary course of nature and
to counteract even natural laws if necessary. And I want
to show you a miracle healing that took faith that
lines up with Mark sixteen. Look at Acts twenty eight,

(45:07):
starting verse three. Paul gathered just after the shipwreck, and
they're on the island. Paul gathered up an armful of
sticks and was laying them on the fire, and a
poisonous snake, driven out by the heat, bit him on
the hand. And the people of the island saw it
hanging from his hand and said to each other a murderer,

(45:31):
no doubt. Though he escaped the sea, justice will not
permit him to live. They expected him to die right
then and there. And what does Paul do. He shakes
the snake off his hand into the fire and is unharmed.
That's a miracle that took faith. This is why these

(45:55):
men and women of that first century church shook the
world and shook Osatan in the fallen, because they knew
they couldn't stop that. They couldn't stop that kind of faith,
They couldn't stop that kind of manifestation. They couldn't stop

(46:19):
that kind of testimony and witnessing, and people were listening,
and people were changing, and leaders and all these things
were shaking the world. Boy, do we need that right now,
right now August twenty seven, twenty twenty five. We need that,

(46:42):
not putting our trust in men and women in political systems,
not putting our trust in the natural, but in the
supernatural and the one who spoke all things into existence. Hebrews,
Chapter two, verse three. How shall we escape if we
neglect so great a salvation which at the first began

(47:05):
to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to
us by those who heard him. God also bearing witness,
both with signs and wonders, with various miracles and gifts
of the Holy Spirit, according to his own will. How
can we escape? How I seek not? Do you understand?

(47:31):
Do you understand what I'm saying, ask seek, knock, what
is it you need? What one of these gifts we're
talking about is stirred up inside of you? What have
you manifested already? I have been blessed by the Lord.
I know I've told the story before. Go When I

(47:52):
first got to Christian heritage and I was working with people,
and I had one particular prayer partner in ministry, whatever
you want to call him. We got to talking about
all this, talking about the gifts, and I told them
what the Lord had already used through me, and it
was just, you know, two or three. I don't remember

(48:12):
what they were. What the first ones were, of course,
you know, casting out of demons and healing and revelation knowledge.
And looked at me and said, well, what about the rest?
And I said, what do you mean? What about the rest?
I don't want to be greedy if he wants me to,
if he doesn't want me to have him, he goes,

(48:33):
have you asked? I said, well no, And he said, well,
then ask ask him if he'd like to give you
the rest? And I did, and he began to manifest
them in me. Because I made myself available. I did
not take credit for it. I didn't want the attention

(48:56):
that came from it. I wanted to point to the Lord,
to the one that saved me, the one that gave
me back my family, the one that delivered me from
the lifelong demonic bondage that had destroyed my life. But
I will tell you this, you have to maintain it

(49:19):
through prayer, through praise and worship, through studying the Word,
because this world will beat you down. People will beat
you down. You put your head up above the crowd,
you stand a little taller than the rest. Rather than
cheering you on, they'll start throwing things at you, words

(49:41):
and accusations. And I want you to sit down. Who
do you think you are? I don't know. I don't
think of anybody. I'm just going to do what the
Lord tells me to. Do you have a problem with that,
take it up with them. I can't but not speak.
I can't but not You remember when they came off

(50:05):
the amount of Transfiguration, and the other disciples who were
not with them had tried to cast out the demons
from this boy. And the Father sees the assure and says,
what's going on here? Your disciples couldn't do this? And
you should cast the demon out. And they go, huh,
why did that happen? Why couldn't we do it? First thing,

(50:30):
the Lord says, because of your unbelief. For assuredly, I
say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed,
it will say to this mountain, move from here to there,
and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.
That little bity speck of a mustard seed that grows

(50:51):
into this strong, thick, powerful, large tree will allow you
to say, to that mountain, defy the laws of physics,
go from there to there, and it will be happen.
It will happen. It won't be impossible. Mark eleven, twenty

(51:11):
two through twenty four. Have faith in God. For assuredly,
I say to you, whoever says to this mountain be
removed and cast into the sea, and does not doubt
in his heart, but believes that those things he says
will be done, will have whatever he says. Therefore, I
say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray,

(51:32):
believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
Remember this must line up with his will. This must
glorify him. This must be for the kingdom, This must
be for the edification of the body. When all those
things come together, nothing can stop it. Then we have

(51:53):
something called the discerning of spirits, very important gift. Discerning
in the Greek it's a judicial estimation. It's through judgment
or separation, like separating a holy spirit from an unholy one.

(52:15):
To distinguishern to discern one thing from another, to know
if one speaking from the Holy Spirit or one speaking
from an unholy spirit, what is the intent, what is
the source of the information. The Greek term for discerning

(52:35):
means distinguishing or discriminating between things that are under consideration. Therefore,
one who possesses the gift of discerning of spirits is
able to make a distinction between the one who spoke
by the spirit of God and the one who is
moved by a false spirit. Another gift that is not

(52:57):
very prevalent in the body. Right now, I know a
number and see a lot of people well meeting well
meaning people, or hearing things and hearing a voice that
is not God. If it doesn't line up with his word,

(53:18):
it's not the Lord. If he has not confirmed it
through two or three witnesses that know nothing about what's happening,
it's not him. They are teaching things and believing things
and applying things that are coming from unholy spirits and
slapping God's name on it, and not understanding why everything

(53:41):
goes wrong. And this morning I was praying about this
because there's certain examples I've seen lately of that, and
the Lord reminded me and James when he said, we
shall sew what we will reap. Reaping and sewing spiritual principle.
Remember this book the Bible has written to the body's

(54:01):
written to his children. He's saying to the church, whatever
seeds you plant is the crop you're going to get.
So when you plant seeds of sin, things that go
against God's word, rebellion, whatever it is, that's the crop
you're going to get. It's a spiritual mandate from the Lord.

(54:27):
It's a universal law, if you will. That's why having
the discerning of spirits, knowing not to follow the voice
of another. So this gift is really expressly needed and

(54:49):
very much so given in the role of teaching, because
there are many false teachers around. The gift is provided
to protect against enemy and filtration, another thing very prevalent
in the church. I'm going to give you a little
clue there's a very big spirit right now. It's a

(55:09):
couple of them, very prominent ones that I have personal
experience with dealing with the entities behind them, sometimes seeing
them face to face. We've talked about the Kundalini spirit.
We've talked about these occultings. But I'll tell you another
spirit that is very prevalent in the body right now,
and the discerning of it is lacking, is the spirit

(55:33):
of Jezebel. It's destroying the body, it's destroying the leaders,
it's destroying the order of God's body. And he will
deal with it. But Paul was always fighting against the
false teaching Acts twenty verse twenty nine and thirty. He says,

(55:55):
for I know this that after my departure, savage wolves
will come in among you, not sparing the flock. Also
from among yourselves, men will rise up, speaking perverse things
to draw away the disciples after themselves. People want their
ears tickles? Oh my gosh, do they want their ears tickled.

(56:18):
Don't tell me a harsh word. Don't tell me what
you just said about. That's not God. It feels good.
It's the desire of my heart. I heard it from
the Lord. No, what does not line up with his word.
He's not going to lead you in temptation into temptation.
He's not going to lead you into sin. Only one
entity does that. Can you take a guess? Satan? Satan second?

(56:48):
Then Thessalonians Chapter two, verse two. Not to be soon
shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by
word or by letter, as if from us, as though
the day of messiahd what was going on the church
in Thessalonica was being told by leaders the day of
the Lord had already come. Paul's not telling you the truth.

(57:10):
There is no rapture. He's not coming to get you
out of here. And boy, oh boy, is that a
common thing today? Oh there's no, You're not getting snatched out. No,
the evidence is pretty clear. If you read the Book
of Revelation properly, properly parts of it. The Church is
here parts of it. It's not parts of it. It's

(57:33):
just Israel dealing with their choices time of Jacob's trouble.
Not for us. But if you want to stay, so
be it. So. The ability to discern whether a message
is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit,
I believe, is vital. It's a vital gift. Any community

(57:54):
of believers that is open to hearing directly from the Lord,
you don't have to worry about it. And people that
are dead that are just listening to eggheads recite scripture. Nope,
people sincerely want to hear from the Lord. They sincerely
want a manifestation from the Holy Spirit. But what they

(58:16):
need is first they need good teachers. But then they
need people in the views that have been anointed with
this ability to be able to stand up and say, oh,
that doesn't line up with this word, that doesn't edify
the body. Now, the rest of the gifts that are

(58:37):
in One Corinthians twelve eight through ten, they focus on
the verbal manifestations of the spirit, the Spirit speaking out,
and because they are the most controversial, just as they
were in the day of Pentecost, we're going to save
them for the next time because those gifts prophecy, tongues,

(59:02):
the interpretation of tongues. Those three gifts alone will probably
take me the whole hour or more to cover them properly,
because remember, my goal here is not to impress you
with my knowledge or take a drink of water while talking. Shoot,

(59:24):
I couldn't talk and drink the water done it. I
don't have the ability of inventriloquist. No, my goal here
is not to impress you. My goal here is to
prepare you. My goal here is to make you remnant ready,
so that when the Lord calls upon you for whatever

(59:47):
he needs you to do, it'll just happen. You won't
have to think about it, It'll be instinctive, and you'll
be ready to serve him. So Father, Abba, Papa, Daddy,
thank you, oh my gosh, thank you for loving us.

(01:00:10):
Thank you for entrusting your Holy Spirit with us in
us to walk with us and guide us and teach
us and empower us. Thank you Lord for sending the
Holy Spirit back. Of course, it cost you your life
in every drop of blood, but that was natural, and

(01:00:32):
now you are supernatural. You are alive forevermore, sitting at
the right hand of the Father in fullness and power.
And you have allowed us to sit with you in
the heavenly places through this ongoing connection of the Holy
Spirit inside of us. So right now, for my brothers
and my sisters and myself beside saying thank you, I

(01:00:56):
ask you to stir them up. Stir up the Lord,
Stir up the gifts, stir it up. Give my brothers
and sisters that lack the confidence, give it to them.
No fear of rejection, no fear of recrimination or attacks,

(01:01:16):
or that they can be bold as lions, and they
can do which you're asking them to do. You're speaking
to them right now. You're showing them things. You're showing
them times when they have already acted upon the gifts,
and they're calling. Holy Spirit, have your way. Prepare us

(01:01:43):
for the days ahead. Prepare us for what we need
to say and what we need to do, and for
the signs and the wonders and the warfare and everything
that goes with it. Let your spirit flow, Let the
fire go, Let us burn for you, Lord, Let us burn,

(01:02:08):
And I pray all these things. And your shoe his name. Amen.
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the
Lord make his face to shine upon you and be
gracious to you. May the Lord, I don't know your
shoe a hummer, sheeah, Jesus the Messiah, lift up his

(01:02:31):
countenance upon you and give you peace. Give you Shallom.
