Speaker 1 (00:06):
Oh Hello, Welcome to the Porch on Firefall Talk Radio,
where you find the uncompromised red letter basics of the
(00:29):
Word of God, where we focus on the Book of
X Church to see how they serve the Lord. In
doing so, we find the church the Lord intended, not
the one that man created. The Porch is a non denominational,
full gospel approach to the Bible based on the examples
from the Book of ax Church to restore the priesthood
(00:50):
of the believer while regaining the world's shaking influence of
the early Church. The Church age isn't over. The Upper
Room experience is as much for today as it was
on the day of Pentecost. It's yours if you want it.
We offer you the Word as the Apostles would have
to the Jewish and Gentile believers of their day, using
(01:10):
both Yeshua and Jesus. When speaking of the Lord, we
use Messiah sometimes instead of Christ, as it speaks more
clearly to what they called him, and we offer Hebrew, Greek,
and Aramic definitions when needed. Getting back to basics isn't
just our motto, it's a mandate from the Lord. Links

We'll plug you in. We'll send it out and you'll

we care about you. We may be all over the world,
but through prayer and the Spirit, we are connected. Starting
(02:42):
out praise and prayer and the sound of the show
far so, first of all, I praise the Lord for
my salvation, for my home, my family, my wife, my kids,
our furry kids, our grandkids, and we're just incredibly blessed,
and we are so thankful to him. I'm thankful that
I can do this, that I can work in the
(03:05):
family business. I'm thankful for each and every one of you.
I praise the Lord for his love, his grace, his mercy,
for my salvation. I praise the Father for sending You're
sure to pay my debt that I never would have
been able to pay, so that I could come home,
(03:28):
that my heart could be filled and the wounds could
be healed, and I would have the love of my
heavenly Father. I thank the Lord for sending back the
Holy Spirit to walk and to teach and to inspire me,
to open the Word to me, to give me understanding
and wisdom and revelation knowledge of Him, for empowering me
(03:52):
for this calling and just to live in this fallen world,
for the blessings that come from that and the responsibility
that flow with it. I pray protection over each and
every one of us, our homes, our lands, our families,
our past, our possessions, that the enemy could have no
access to us as we are hidden under that Psalm
(04:13):
ninety one, covering his angels guarding us, the armor upon us,
sort of the spirit in our hand. I pray that
he would watch over this time. Bless this word, Let
it go forth to what He's called it to do.
Open eyes, touch hearts, and inspire us, so that we
(04:35):
can shake the world one last time before the return
of the King. And I pray all these things, and
you shoe his name. And if you agree with me,
simply say amen. These lessons are proprietary information, except where

(05:33):
Let's get back to talking about living in the Messianic age,
where we are redeemed from sin and death, we are
reconciled to God, we have liberty and freedom, bondages are broken,
and we've been rescued from darkness, and we are free
to praise and worship our abba Father in spirit and truth.
(05:58):
In Luke chapter four or starting verse sixteen, and in
a section I called the Nazareth proclamation. Is sure came
to Nazareth, where he was brought up, And as his
custom was, he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath
day and stood up to read. And he was handed
the book of the Prophet Isaiah. And when he opened
(06:20):
the book more of a scroll, he found the place
where it was written, quoting for Isaiah sixty one. The
spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has
anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor. He
has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim
liberty to the captive's, recovery of sight to the blind,
to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim
(06:45):
the acceptable year of the Lord. Spirit of the Lord
is upon me. I am the Messiah, is what he's saying,
because he hashim. My heavenly Father has anointed me to
preach the good news to the poor. He has sent
me to announce release freedom, forgiveness to the captives, recovery
(07:06):
of sight to the blind, and to free those who
are oppressed, those who are downtrodden, bruised, crushed by tragedy,
and to proclaim Jubilee, the favorable year the Lord when
salvation and the favor of God abound greatly. Release, Pardon
(07:27):
and forgiveness to the captives of sin and death. Freedom
to those who are oppressed. They've been downtrodden, bruised by
this world, crushed by tragedy. So many important concepts can
be expressed in single words. Freedom, justice, honor, mercy, and hope.
(07:50):
We're talking about a life of freedom, living in freedom.
Oppression and bondage are always connected. Oppression is domination or
persecution or harassment, and it will eventually lead to bondage,
(08:10):
to some form of slavery, a captivity of servitude, both
natural and supernatural. Spiritual oppression leads you into a prison
of bondage. The apostle Paul, just like the Lord he served,
dedicated himself to a ministry of freedom, a ministry of
(08:33):
the spirit, a ministry of life and righteousness and truth.
The ministry of the Holy Spirit through us brings freedom
from the power of sin and death. That's what happens
when you share the Gospel with somebody and pray the
prayer of salvation with them and lead them into the Kingdom.
(08:54):
This is something that the law could not do. This
is something that religious ritual cannot do. Go with me
to Matthew chapter eleven, starting verse twenty eight, as she
was speaks and says, come to me, all you who
labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
(09:18):
Take my yoke upon you. Learn from me, for I
am gentle or meek, lowly in heart, and you will
find rest for your souls. My yoke is easy and
my burden is light. Come to me, all you are
(09:38):
weary and heavily burdened by religious rituals that provide no peace.
I will give you the rest, refreshing for your souls
with salvation. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me.
Following me is my disciple, for I am gentle and
(09:58):
humble in heart, and you will find rest, renewal, blessed
quiet for your souls. For my yoke is easy to
bear and my burden is light. Oswald Chambers says, our
Lord's words are not do this or don't do that,
(10:19):
but come to me. That's that first step of freedom.
You make the choice to go to him. That's what
I did that day in Tallahassee on October ninth, nineteen
eighty eight, and I knelt at that altar. I came
to him. Labor means to be fatigued and weary. Heavy
(10:46):
laden in the Greek is to carry a load. You're overburdened.
What are you overburdened by? What are you carrying? Even
after all this time, I see so many people, so
many people, in all these years of ministry, They'll come
to you with their burdens. They'll lay them all out,
You'll pray with them, and then instead of walking away
and leaving them, they put all the rocks back in
(11:09):
the bag and they take them with them. And the
next thing you know, they're talking to you about them again.
If you're going to let them go, let them go,
if you're going to carry them around, then we've got
to figure out. Why has it become part of your identity?
Do you not trust the Lord to free you? Do
you not think that you deserve it? Why do you
(11:31):
still carry those burdens? Life application Bible commentary says you
shoe It invites those who labor and are heavy laden.
Though supposedly wise and learned, Pharisees had placed so many
rules and regulations on the people that religion had become
like labor, and a life of devotion to the law
(11:54):
had become a burden to carry. It was never what
it was supposed to be. It was supposed to be
a guideline for the Jews the Israelites to live in
relationship with God, but it became something else. Through the
priests and the rabbis and the scribes and the Pharisees.
The Jews was suffering under a load of religious responsibilities
(12:18):
laid on them by them. I mean, the Mosaic Rites
were difficult enough, but the Pharisees had manufactured hundreds of
additional burdens related to keeping the minutest detail of the law.
Nothing's changed. Denominations, abominations, whatever you want to call them, organizations, leaders,
(12:45):
and do this and don't do that, dress like this,
walk this way. I mean, I have it in the
Bible to tell me what to do and how to live.
But know you've got yours too. Don't say that, Neil,
do this. Come on all this additional stuff, external, outward
(13:09):
forms of religiosity. So many people I've met over the
years that could do all those things perfectly. But once
you got on the inside, you found out that what
was inside was completely different than what was on the outside.
And Matthew twenty three starting verse one, Sua speaks to
(13:32):
the multitudes and to his disciples, saying, the scribes and
the Pharisees sit in Moses seat. Therefore, whatever they tell
you to observe, that observe and do, but do not
do according to their works. For they say and do
not do. For they bind heavy burdens hard to bear,
(13:55):
and lay them on men's shoulders, but they themselves will
not move them with one of their fingers. But all
the works they do to be seen by men. They
make their flylactories broad, and they enlarge the borders of
their garments. They want to be seen. They want to
(14:15):
I'm religious, I'm special, semi collar, how white. It is
why they put themselves in position of authorities, teachers of
the law. But they live in attitude of do as
I say, don't do as I do. And she is
(14:36):
basically saying, yeah, do as they say, and don't do
as they do because they don't practice what they preach.
They put all these heavy loads upon you, but they
don't even bother to help you carry them. They want
to be seen. They want you to see how religious
(14:57):
they are, how long there's eight seats tassels on their
prayer shaw are, Oh look at me, I'm special. That's
why I have a problem with all the form and
formality of all of the different denominations or character that
whatever you wear, however you look, where you sit, none
(15:21):
of that matters. The only thing that matters is the
one who hung on the cross, and who was no
longer there, but is alive forevermore. Is Shoe invited drue disciples,
with their eyes open to see the truth, to come
from him and find relief from these labors, to abandon
(15:45):
phariseic pharisaic legalism and join him. And the invitation went
out to everyone anyone could heed it. And then there's
going to be a final one too, Revelation twenty two seventeen.
And the spirit of the Bride say come. Let him
(16:06):
who hears say come, and let him who thirsts, come,
whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.
No one has admitted, no one is neglected. Anyone can
have access to this freedom and to this rest. All
(16:26):
we must do is acknowledge our need and come to him.
Is you sue a freeze people from their burdens. That's
what he did for me. He still does it for
me because I make the mistake of picking them back
up again, and you don't realize it untill after you've
done it, and it begins to weigh you down. Life
(16:49):
has a way of doing that. The enemy has a
way of tricking us to carrying burdens we were never
supposed to carry. Oh, the rest that you shoe a
gives equals eternal life. It brings love, It brings healing
and peace, peace with God. Peace inside, not just a
(17:10):
cessation of work or effort or service. It's internal. It's supernatural.
Man and man's plans or programs can't give us that
kind of rest. You know, when you first get saved
and the spirit begins to flow and the light shines
(17:32):
on you, and you feel so much lighter. All the
burdens are gone, the weight of the sin that's been
passed down through generations, all the fears, all the things
that have been heaped upon you from birth. And it's
(17:52):
amazing as you watch people progress with the Lord and
get older and their salvation, how much they get weighed
down again by the failures, by all the things that
are not important, that have no eternal value. I get
(18:15):
that there are things we have to do in this world.
There are responsibilities that we have to hold to. But
when we take them on and don't allow the Lord
to carry them with us, they become burdens. Psalm fifty
five twenty two. Cast your burden on the Lord, and
he shall sustain you. He shall never permit the righteous
(18:39):
to be moved. Divine rest is the only real rest.
There is. The bondage of strife and striving is the
trick of the enemy. And it's a subtle, poisonous little
thing that he seeps into us, and it's so easy
(19:03):
to fall for it, so many do. A while back,
I talked about this, and I tied it to the breakdowns,
the emotional breakdowns, the suicides going on in the church
with pastors overburdened by systems that were never created by
the Lord. We still see it happening today. Oh, they
(19:30):
call it burnout. I call it disobedience to his word.
We don't honor his word. We don't honor the reth
we rest. We don't honor the Sabbath rest. And one
of the commentaries I had, I had to reject parts
of it, saying that tho, oh, the Sabbath rest isn't
(19:51):
a commandment, and the ten commandments aren't in effect anymore.
We're not under any part of the law, and that's
not true. We've been set free of the law of
sin and death. We've been set for you some of
the minute mosaic details, in the phariseic details of the law.
The ten commandments are still in effect. They are perpetual,
(20:13):
they are forever. And the Sabbath thrust, which is for
hour good, is in there, and when you violate it,
it affects you. Honor him and he will honor you.
Is what I've always said, as I've come to embrace
this for a long time now. The Sabbath Saturday is
(20:36):
his day. Sundown Friday, the sundown Saturday is his time,
and I will honor it. Occasionally he'll allow me to
switch it to Sunday because something has to be done,
or he sends me somewhere, but I always take it
before him, and I let him, okay it. I give
(20:59):
him honor, I give him time. I let my body rest,
I let my spirit man rest. It's so important. I
just I can't even I can't even describe to you.
(21:23):
You should try it, if you don't already, do it,
and you'll see divine rest is the only rest there
is Exodus thirty three, fourteen, and he said, my presence
will go with you, and I will give you rest.
That's that thing on the Sabbath. You're in his presence
(21:44):
and you begin to heal inside out. You'll have time
to think, You'll have time to pray, You'll have time
to hear his voice. Psal I'm twenty three, Verses one
through three. The Lord is my shepherd, to feed me,
to guide me, to shield me, and I shall not lack.
(22:05):
He makes me lie down in fresh, tender green pastures.
He leads me beside still RESTful waters. He refreshes and
restores my soul, my life. He leads me in the
paths of righteousness, you know, uprightness and right standing with him,
(22:29):
not for my earning it, but for his name's sake.
He makes me lie down, he leads me, he refreshes
and restores me. I can't do this without him. I
can't do it from within a system. I can't do
(22:51):
it from within religion or religious ritual. I have to
let go. Oswald Chambers also says nothing blinds the minds
the claims of Jesus Christ more effectually than a good,
clean living upright life based on self realization. For a
(23:15):
thing to be satanic does not mean that it's abominable
or a moral The satanically managed man is moral, upright, proud,
and individual. He is absolutely self governed and has no
need of God. Wow, that is powerful. I'm going to
(23:37):
post that on my social media platforms. If you follow me,
you can see it and copy it. The satanically managed
man is moral, he's upright, proud, an individual and absolutely
self governed and has no need of God. That's what
all of this life coaching, that's what all of this. Oh,
(24:00):
going to talk about your mental health, but never talk
about the gospel. Never talk about the spiritual reasons. Oh,
we're going to help you control your issues. No, if
I could control my issues, I wouldn't have these issues.
I need spiritual help. I need spiritual guidance. I need
somebody to help me lift this. I need somebody to
(24:20):
pull me out of this darkness. In contrast to the
yoke that religion and religious leaders put on us, his
yoke is easy and his burden is light, and not
because it's less demanding. It has its own demands. Matthew
(24:41):
seven thirteen and fourteen tells me what those demands are.
Enter by the narrow gate. For why it is the gate,
and broad is the way that leads to destruction. And
there are many who go in by it, because narrow
is the gate, and difficult is the way which leads
to life, a few who find it. It is because
(25:04):
of the power of the Holy Spirit that this is possible.
You have a notice if you haven't already, And it's
not just me doing it through my notes. Everything always
leads back to the Holy Spirit. Everything in this New Covenant,
everything in this New Testament of Grace, always leads back
(25:27):
to the Holy Spirit. John fourteen, twenty six. But the Helper,
the Holy Spirit, through rak kak Kadsham, the Father will
send in my name. He will teach you all things
and bring to your remembrance all things that I said
to you. Then again in John fifteen twenty six, when
(25:48):
the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from
the Father, the Spirit of Truth, who proceeds from the Father.
He will testify of me. And then again in John
sixteen and I'm combine Verses seven, eight, thirteen, and fourteen. Nevertheless,
I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage
(26:11):
that I go away, For if I do not go away,
the Helper will not come to you. But if I depart,
I will send him to you. And when he has come,
he will convict the world of sin and of righteousness
and of judgment. And when he, the Spirit of truth,
has come, he will guide you into all truth. He
(26:33):
will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears,
he will speak, and he will tell you things to come.
He will glorify me, for he will take of what
is mind and declare it to you. The Holy Spirit
will take of what is his and declare it to us.
(26:54):
And rest is in that offering. If you don't spend
time with or consciously think about the Holy Spirit in
your life. Not apart from the Lord, everything's through him
and of him, but consciously think about his presence in
(27:18):
your life. You know. In John fourteen sixteen he says,
I will pray the Father and he will give you
another helper that he may abide with you forever, permanent residence,
not going anywhere. That helper is a comforter. The paracletos
(27:42):
power means beside Cleo is to call, So he's been
called to your side to exhort you and to comfort you.
See why you can't do it without him. You can't
live this life of freedom without him. As years you
on like the person on the sidelines while you're running
(28:04):
the race, or he's somebody to lean on when you can't.
You can't carry the load anymore. He can't go any further.
To whisper a scripture, I tell you don't give up,
to remind you of a time that the Lord rescued you.
He's always there. Don't push him away, don't grieve him
(28:25):
so that he has to pull back. You can't do
this without him. Tewod Corinthians one, verses three and four.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord, Jesus
the Messiah, the Father of mercies, and the God of
all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that
(28:47):
we may be able to comfort those who are in
any trouble with the comfort with which we ourselves are
comforted by God. You see that in verse four the
comfort you've been given as the comfort you give away.
He freed us from the curse of sin and death
(29:07):
to find rest in the fallen world. Satan no longer
has any claim on our lives. That's why he's always
trying to find a way back in. But there's no
rest for those in bondage. They're caught in a nest
thrashing around. And the more they the more they thrash,
the more entangled they become. They need help getting out.
(29:32):
That's what makes our participation in his ministry so important.
Galatians five to one tells me, stand fast therefore in
the liberty by which Messiah has made us free, and
do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. Now,
of course he's referring to the church in Glacier, going
(29:56):
back to the Jewish law and to the rituals, but
it can be applied to any yoke of bondage. If
you've been freed of it, don't get caught up in
it again. Stand fast in the faith, be brave, and
be strong Verse Corinthians sixteen thirteen. Be anchored in your
(30:17):
faith in Him, not your faith in faith, or your
faith in man, or your faith in an organization or
any Know. Your faith in Him Man will always fail you.
He will never fail you. So we need to live
this life of freedom of liberty given to us in
(30:41):
the New Covenant. We're under a different covenant. We're under
a different legal document, legal arrangement between us and God. Ephesians,
Chapter two, verses fourteen and fifteen. For he himself is
our peace, and he has made both one and has
(31:03):
broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in
his flesh the enmity, that is the law of commandments
contained in ordinances, so as to create in himself one
new man from the two, thus making peace. Relationship brings peace.
(31:26):
Religion religious ritual brings bondage. You know, you can hide
your bondage and your sins behind ritual. That's another thing
that was an eye opener once I got saved and
got involved in the church and got to see behind
the walls and in the meetings and see things I probably,
(31:50):
as a baby Christian should never have seen how many
people were behind it, hiding their bondages and their sins
behind their service, and their ritual behind their actions. More
of that, do as I say, don't do as I do, mentality,
which I always found hypocritical, and I have always had,
(32:11):
even as a child, a knee jerk reaction to hypocrisy.
I still do. Relationship, Real relationship with the Lord forces
you to be honest with him and with yourself. See
(32:32):
it's that mirror. You can always see in the mirror
of the word what you look like and what you
should look like. Now you can either not want that
mirror or want it to be unclear, or you can say,
show me, Lord, show me whatever's hidden in me, Show
(32:52):
me anything that doesn't please you, Show me something I
have picked back up. A supernatural piece comes from that honesty.
Transparency is oh, that's the buzzword of the day, except
nobody really wants to be transparent. They only wanted to
(33:13):
be transparent up to a point. He can see everything.
I posted that the other day. I posted it on
the beacons Glare blog wrote a little blog spiritual Thoughts
for the day. It was about sin is sin If
(33:35):
you know about it, so does he. There's other things there,
but it's an honesty. It's about transparency. It's about stop
hiding behind you know, grace, grace all is grace. I'm forgiven.
That's not a license to sin. We have an obligation
(33:56):
to him through his word, through this covenant on how
to behave. And the thing about social media, it has
exposed people. They post about the Lord and then they
post about their trip to Vegas with their partner that
they're not married to and are not committed to. They
(34:17):
post all these things and you sit there and go, Okay,
I see little hypocrisy going on here. In one sense,
you're trying to promote the Lord and righteousness and all
these things, But then you're posting stuff that tells me
you're still caught up in the world and the flesh
and the devil. It just canceled out the message. We
(34:41):
need to walk what we talk, and we're all guilty
of it. We all trip, we all fall, get back up,
ask for forgiveness, get it right, and keep going. Romans,
Chapter eight, starting verse five. Those who are dominated by
the sin nature think about sinful things, but those who
(35:03):
are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that
please the Spirit. So letting your sinful nature control your
mind leads to death, but letting the Spirit capitalize control
your mind leads to life and peace. For the sinful
nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey
(35:25):
God's laws and it never will. That's why those who
are still under the control of their sinful nature can
never please God. Well, how can you please them from
your prison cell? If you want to be a slave,
and in bondage, it's your choice. Remember I asked last
week why are so many believers in bondage. The answer
(35:48):
is they choose to be. Our freedom comes from a
renewed relationship with the Lord, free from guilt of her sin,
deliverance from fear and despair, and the promise of continued
(36:08):
help and guidance from the Holy Spirit John eight thirty six. Therefore,
if the Sun is o n capitalist Son makes you free,
you are free. Indeed, I mean, you are really and
(36:30):
unquestionably free. Freedom from the Lord is the only real
freedom from evil and Satanic control. Sin binds us and
controls our choices. When the Lord breaks those prison doors open,
(36:51):
I remember my moment, Maybe in yours wasn't as dramatic,
but that's what he does. He sets us free, and
this freedom Messiah has made us free and completely liberated us.
Stand fast, then, and do not be hampered and held ensnared,
(37:11):
and submit submit again to a yoke of slavery which
you have once put off the Galatians five to one again. Yes,
he was talking about religious bondage, but it can apply
to any bondage, any yoke of slavery if he set
you free, don't go back. Don't go back to Egypt.
(37:36):
If you're out, Yeah, maybe it's gonna take a little
journey to get to that promised land. Keep going, don't
look back, Get as far away from that border as
you can. And John fourteen thirty the Lord says something
that kind of inspired the teaching over these last couple
(37:59):
of weeks. He says, I will no longer talk much
with you, for the ruler of this world is coming,
and he has nothing in me. For the ruler of
this world Satan is coming, and he has no claim
on me, no power over me, nor anything he can
(38:20):
use against me. That's the ultimate freedom. Now, of course,
the Lord was born that way, no relationship with the enemy,
no sin nature, and nothing of Satan in him. He's
not Adam. He's not like the first Adam. He's the
new man. He's the way we were supposed to be.
(38:45):
He's making a declaration there of his sinlessness, and that's
what makes him the perfect sacrifice, because without that, when
not free, the debt has not been paid, it is
not finished. And by stating that, he's saying I don't
(39:11):
deserve to die. I am not under that law. Of
sin and death. I don't deserve to die, but I
will yield to it to destroy Satan's power. I will
voluntarily yield to the death on the cross in loving obedience,
(39:33):
obedience to my heavenly father. And that's the key the
living a victorious life, to living this life of freedom
in the Messianic age, is giving the enemy, Satan the
kingdom of darkness, no claim over us and nothing to
(39:54):
use against us, giving him no ground, no place in
our lives. Being conscious of the works of the flesh
and not giving into them. Because the minute you do,
the minute you even open that door a crack, they sleep.
(40:16):
They seep right in, They just slip right in. They
don't need much space. They're like the worst insect or snake,
those things that can squeeze the rats and mice. They
squeeze through things that they shouldn't be able to. Don't
(40:39):
give them foothold. And Ephesians talks about one specific foothold,
and Ephesians twenty seven, for anger gives a foothold to
the devil, and then he goes on to saying Versus
twenty eight and onward. If you are a thief, quit
stealing instead, use your hands for good work, and then
(41:00):
give generously to others in need. Do not use foul
or abuse of language. Let everything you say be good
and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement
to those who hear them. And do not bring sorrow
to God's holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember
(41:20):
he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you
will be saved on the day of redemption. Do don't
give the devil an opportunity. Don't let him lead you
into a sin, whether it's holding a grudge or nurturing anger,
harboring resentment, or cultivating bitterness. Forgiveness is mandatory. If you
(41:50):
don't forgive, your heavenly Father won't forgive you. And when
the thief becomes a believer, he's got to stop being
a thief. And instead i'd be productive, make an honest living,
give to others, do something instead of taking away, give
something back. And a lot of the homeless guys that
(42:10):
we helped get saved and get their lives back on track,
they lived by that. And don't let unwholesome, foul, profane,
worthless or vulgar words ever come out of your mouth.
But only such speech that is good for building up
others according to the need and the occasion. So it
(42:32):
will be a blessing to those who hear you speak.
So many times I've had to repent and even apologize
when I've been pushed too far by a situation and
lashed out and you know, said things that were wrong.
I've had to repent and you know, they'd say, well,
it's okay, and I'd say, no, it's not okay. I
(42:54):
damaged my witness. What I did was unacceptable to the Lord,
and I have to tell you I'm sorry. All right,
We're human, the human nature is still there. We still
have those buttons that the enemy comes along and says, oh,
I know this one will get them, And the next thing,
you know, you're acting out. You're lashing out. You're doing
(43:16):
exactly what you know why you're doing it. You shouldn't
be doing. And we have to stop grieving the Holy
Spirit of God, but to seek to please them who
has sealed us and branded us as God's own so
for that final deliverance on that day were marked by him.
You know, the Holy Spirit is our bridge to the
(43:38):
throne room. It's our perpetual connection to the Lord and
to the Father, So we have to consider it holy
and not defile it or cause that bridge to be
pulled away from us, and the Holy Spirit will back off,
and you'll suddenly notice your prayers don't feel like they're
being heard. They don't seem to be going anywhere. You
(44:03):
don't feel that connection, you don't feel that closeness at
that moment. You may not even know what you did. Repent, Lord,
I'm sorry. I repent of whatever it is I've done,
known or unknown. I asked you to wash me clean,
set me free of whatever foolish thing I've said or thought,
(44:26):
or done, or had done to me or participated in.
Don't let me go back into bondage. See if we
let the bridge to the Holy Spirit be either cut
off or that little bar come down temporarily, the enemy's
(44:49):
going to offer us another bridge, right back into bondage.
How do you stop that from happening? Here? What I do,
first thing, every morning, last thing, for I go to sleep.
I repent sends, unknown mistakes, anything I may have done
(45:11):
to give the enemy any ground, any openings to slip in.
And that's where the Holy Spirit comes in. Develop your
relationship with the Holy Spirit. If you're working on your
relationship with God, your father, and with the Lord. Develop
the relationship with the Holy Spirit. Acknowledge him, ask him
for his help. The Lord made this so important again
(45:39):
John sixteen six. Because I've said these things to you,
sorrow has filled your heart, meaning he's got to go. Nevertheless,
I tell you the truth. It's to your advantage that
I go away. For if I do not go away,
the helper, the Powa clay toss, the ro Kadash will
not come to you. But if I depart, I will
send him to you. And when he has come, he
(46:01):
will convict the world of sin and of righteousness, and
of judgment. Of sin because they do not believe in me.
Of righteousness because I go to my Father, and you
see me no more. Of judgment, because the ruler of
this world is judged Satan, the ruler of this world,
the one are rules in the hearts of unregenerate people
(46:24):
and blinds their minds. He is judged. That's right there
in Second Corinthians four. He blinds the minds. He's the
God of this world. If our gospel is hidden behind
a veil, it is hidden only to those who are perishing.
(46:44):
Among them the gods, the god of this world's maul
g Satan has blinded the minds of the unbelieving to
prevent them from seeing the illuminating light of the Gospel.
Of the glory of Messiah is the image of God
two Corinthians four, of Versus three and four. Never forget this,
(47:07):
and periodically I remind him Satan was judged at the cross.
And I've wondered, and i haven't done enough research on this,
but the thought came to mind. I'm wondering. I'm just
offering this out there, and I'm not trying to cause
any confusion. The law of sin and death was a
(47:30):
part of a universal declaration made in the garden that
day because of what happened with Adam and Eve. But Yeshua,
though born of a woman, so he was flash, he
was man, and he was God. Didn't deserve to die.
(47:57):
He didn't have adam sin, he had no sin in him.
Yet Satan caused his death, killed him. So I thought,
since the universe is ruled by laws and regulations and
God's decrees, he broke the law. He killed an innocent man.
(48:26):
Interesting thought is and that Satan has been judged, and
all who side with him will be judged with him
and those third of the angels that fell. Even if
some of them came to their senses and realized I
made a mistake. I'm not following him any longer. I'm
not going to do these things. It doesn't matter. There's
(48:49):
no redemption, there's no getting back in. There's no eternity
with the Father. They're judged, They're doomed, so there is
no room for neutrality. A person is either a child
of God or a child of the devil, a son
of tradition, marked for destruction. But why should I let
(49:17):
the enemy manipulate me. They've been defeated. Satan has no
authority over me unless they give it to him. And
that's what the enemy does, tries to trick us into
giving him that authority, into giving up our authority. But
he has no authority unless we give it to him.
(49:39):
And our hearts and our eyes should be open to
the Lord. It should be we shouldn't be blinded by
this world. It should be washed in the water of
the Word, just like the man at the pool of Siloam,
and you see washed his eyes and formed new eyes
in his head so he could see. We've been given
new eyes. We've been given spiritual by the water of life,
(50:04):
the water of the Word. We should be able to see,
but the enemy wants to blind us. We have to
clear our minds. That's another thing, taking our thoughts captive
to the obedience of Messiah, claiming the mind of Messiah,
and casting down every vein imagination, every argument, everything that
(50:26):
would seek to exalt itself above the knowledge of Lord,
above God himself. The world's constantly telling us, Oh, that's
old Oh that's old fashioned. You don't have to think
that way. Yeah, you do for your own spiritual and
(50:54):
physical wellbeing. You do, because if the enemy gets a
good hold in your life life, he will try to
kill you before you can repent, before somebody like me
can cast them out. That's why, if you think about
it every day, pray for that person in bondage that
has no one there to help them. Pray for that
(51:16):
person to not give up, not to quit. Pray for
God to send someone to them with a word, lay
hands on them, cast out whatever is in them. If
that's what's needed. Those who live according to the flesh
(51:40):
set their minds on the things of the flesh. We
see it every day in the Internet, the news and
all that. But those who live according to the spirit,
the minds are on the things of the spirit. To
be carnally minded, fleshly minded is death. But those who
are spiritually minded of life and peace. The cornal mind
(52:00):
is enmity, it's hatred against God, because it's not subject
to the law, nor can it be, nor has it
ever been that. So then those who are in the
flesh cannot please God. But you, as a believer or
not in the flesh, you're in the spirit. And if
(52:22):
the Spirit of God dwells in you, then you spirit. Now,
if anyone does not have the spirit of Messiah, he
is not his. And if Messiah is in you, the
body is dead because of sin, but the spirit of
life because of righteousness. Spirit is life because of righteousness.
(52:45):
But if the spirit of Him who raised you you
or from the dead dwells in you, he who raised
Messiah from the dead, will also give life to your
mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. Romans five,
moments eight Versus five through eleven. But I'm going to
pick up Romans eight, fourteen, and fifteen to complete this thought.
(53:06):
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God.
These are sons and daughters of God. For you did
not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but
you received the spirit of adoption by whom we cry
out Abba. Father Nelson's Study Bible says the Greek word
(53:29):
rendered for set their minds includes a person's will, thoughts,
and emotions. It also includes assumptions, values, desires, and purposes.
Setting the mind on the things of the flesh or
on the things of the Spirit means being oriented to
or governed by those things on which we focus. Peace
(53:55):
is the resolution of the intense warfare, as well as
the in words harmony and tranquility that results from yielding
to God. So the Messianic age frees believers from living
according to the flesh, according or being under the control
(54:16):
of this sinful human nature. Instead, with the Spirit, the
Holy Spirit of God living in us empowering us, we
can choose to live in a way that pleases God.
Being led by the Spirit is virtually synonymous with walking
according to the Spirit. Interestingly, walking emphasizes active participation and
(54:42):
effort of the believer, while being led highlights the passive
impact the passive aspect, illustrating the believer's submissive dependence on
the spirit. If we put our minds on the flesh,
(55:03):
that means the general nature of our will not just
a thought process. It may not be an active thought process.
It may be a cloud over us our minds that's
always there. Unbelievers are under the control of the world,
(55:24):
the flesh and the devil, and under the dominion of
Adam's sinful nature and the one who rules it, Satan.
Excuse me. The Holy Spirit directs the lives of believers. Now,
the Holy Spirit doesn't take away human initiative or make
(55:46):
it impossible for us to sin, but the most potent
force in a believer's lives, the Holy Spirit, makes it
possible for them to resist the continuing power of sin.
As long as we're in this human body, that's always
going to be. They're always going to battle in the flesh.
The spirit and the flesh hate one another. They're always
(56:08):
in battle. The New Living Translation Study bi Us says
the spirit of adoption. According to the Greco Roman customs
of adoption, a man had the right to adopt a
son and to confer on that child all the legal, requined,
regal rights and privileges that would be given to a
(56:29):
natural child. The practice extended to the imperial family. The
Roman emperor Julius Caesar adopted Octavian as his heir. Octavian,
using the name Augustus, later ruled the Roman Empire. So
Paul's concept of adoption is rooted in both the Old
(56:50):
Testament and Judaism, as well as the Greco Roman customs.
See we've not received a spirit of adoption to relac
again into fear and terror. But you have the spirit
of freedom and being a child of God sonship as
I call it, to break every bondage. See, you cannot
(57:17):
help someone else be free if you're in bondage, and
you can't fight the enemy. If the enemy has any
hold on you, that's dangerous to you and dangerous to
anybody around you. Galatians five, starting verse sixteen. Walk in
the spirit. You shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Well,
(57:39):
the flesh lust against the spirit, and the spirit against
the flesh. And these are contrary to one another, so
that you do not do the things you wish. But
if you're led by the spirit, you're not under the law.
Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies,
(58:03):
outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries,
and the like of which I tell you beforehand, just
as I told you in time path, that those who
practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
(58:25):
But yeah, here comes good stuff. The fruit of the
spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness,
self control. Against such there is no law. And those
who are messiahs have crucified the flesh with its passions
(58:46):
and desires. If we live in the spirit, let us
also walk in the spirit that gets back to that
passive and participation. Beloved, I employ you as aliens and
(59:06):
strangers and exiles in this world. We don't belong here.
This is at our home. To abstain from the sensual urges,
the evil desires, the passions of the flesh, your lowered nature,
that wage war against the soul one Peter two eleven.
Why are you harping on this richer, Because we're in
a war, and the war starts within us, with us
(59:31):
and then it goes outward. We can't help anybody if
we can't help ourselves. Sorry, there's been a lot of rain,
a lot of mold, a lot of stuff going on,
And of course it always hits me when I need
to talk. But even in doing what I do with SRT,
(59:54):
which is a microcosm of the calling of the Kingdom,
you can't let the enemy in the camp. You can't
go confront the enemy. When you get somebody in the
camp who's in sin, who hasn't open door in their life,
it's bad for you and it's dangerous for them. No,
(01:00:17):
our life is a choice. We're either led by a flasher,
were led by the spirit, and a life that is
led by the spirit pleases God. If you were raised
with Messiah, seek those things which are above, where Messiah
is sitting at the right hand of God. Set your
(01:00:38):
mind on things above, not on things on this earth.
Whatever you focus on is what you will manifest. That's
something the enemy teaches. He's just stealing a biblical principle
and using it for himself. Colossians three. Those cautions three
one and two. Set your mine and keep them set
(01:01:02):
on the higher things, not on the lower things. On
the earth. So bondage for a believer in the Messianic
age is a choice, a very conscious choice. Remember I
said the scripture last week, and I said, maybe you
need we need to remind ourselves every week relations two twenty.
(01:01:26):
For I have been crucified with Messiah, that is in him.
I have shared his crucifixion. It's no longer I who live,
but Messiah lives in me. The life I now live
in the body. I live by faith, by adhering to,
relying on and completely trusting in the Son of God
who loved me and gave himself for me. So if
(01:01:51):
we come to realize that it's not us who lived,
but Messiah lives in us, that becomes our true self
in our compulsions, the things that have ruled us melt away,
and we begin to experience that wonderful freedom of a
(01:02:11):
child of God. So there are two choices. A life
of freedom given to us by the cross, or we
can choose to re enter the prison cell, put the
chains back on, and live as a prisoner. It's our choice.
(01:02:39):
I will tell you the people, the guards, and the
jailers in that prison as those that will suffer an
eternity are horrible commenting, there's no peace. Make the bet
(01:03:00):
a choice. Live in the freedom given to us in
the Messianic age, by the cross, by the blood, by
the Lord. Lord. I come to you right now praying
a that this word has done what you needed to
do for your children. Maybe set somebody free from that
(01:03:22):
kind of besetting sin or something that they can't seem
to shake free of that you would send your holy
spirit to them right now, Set them free, Melt those chains,
open those locks. Let us walk in this freedom. Let
us show others how to have this freedom in a
(01:03:44):
world that grows darker and darker. Let us grow brighter
and brighter, setting the captives free, healing the sick, raising
the dead for a spiritually and Lord, would be great
to do it naturally, to see that begin to happen.
See the signs of the Messiah happen regularly so often
(01:04:06):
it can't be hidden, cannot be refuted. And real, real ones,
not by phonies we're trying to grab attention for themselves
or get clicks on the internet. No, real everyday stuff
that you'd pray with somebody over the phone and the
next thing you know, they'd write you back and say, hey,
(01:04:27):
what you were praying for. I get healed of so
many other things at the same time. Help us, Holy Spirit,
right now, touch us, Remind us of your presence each
and every day. Let us hear your voice, clear our
spiritual ears of all the static of this world. Empower us,
(01:04:50):
envelop us, Encourage us. Yeah. I pray right now that
the person who desires more of the Lord, more of
the Holy Spirit, more of what I've been talking about,
would receive it in abundance, pressed down, shaken together together,
flowing over onto their bosom, blessed beyond anything they've ever
(01:05:17):
thought or imagine, Empowered to serve the Lord and serve
the Kingdom of God in this time. Set us free
of anything that hinders our shell us, so that we
can repent and let it go. Guide us, help us.
(01:05:40):
And I pray all these things. And you shew his name,
And if you agree with me, just say amen. May
the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord
make his face to shine upon you and be gracious
to you. May the Lord, ma'am, I don't know you,
shew Hummasiah Jesus the Messiah, lift up his countenance upon
(01:06:04):
you and give you peace, Give you Shallon. I'm Richard Grund.
