Speaker 1 (00:02):
The following is in Nova Scotia You eighteen Major Hockey
League Intermission Interview.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Welcome back to the Halifax Forum.

Speaker 3 (00:10):
After two periods of played the Halifax Max and the
visiting Weeks Majors tied at three to three, very pleased
to be joined by Weeks forward, you and White, You
and injured not able to play first of all, you
and the thanks for joining us here. Give me your
thoughts on those first two periods.

Speaker 4 (00:26):
As fast for a sup periods two top teams, how
I expected to look.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
You mentioned top two teams, thirty six points at the
top of the standings. You guys have played the Max
a couple of times this year. What's been the most
frustrating thing about playing this Max team.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
There's a good team. They're big, strong, fast, and they
know it. They like to they like to talk about
it and that they're a good team. They're strong, fast,
hard to have great offense against them.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
You guys have got a good team as well, as
mentioned thirty six points on the air, This Max team
scored two goals fifty five seconds into the game, but
you guys kind of settled down, got back into it
now three to three after two Maybe just a word
about the resiliency of this team and how you're able
to bounce back like that, especially in this game where
you got down two nothing early.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
Yeah, there's no quit in this team, especially I mean
still with fifty nine minutes to play.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
There's gonna be no back down from these guys.

Speaker 4 (01:27):
And yeah, obviously it took them a minute to get
their feet under them, but they've looked really good since then.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
So you're hoping to be back in a week or two.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
But overall, how you're feeling after the injury that you
suffered about a week or two ago.

Speaker 5 (01:43):
Good.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
Yeah, I should be back in the next coming days.

Speaker 5 (01:47):
So yeah, itching to get back.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
On the ice year two few with the week. So
what's been your favorite part about being a member of
this club?

Speaker 4 (01:55):
Just how well run it is and all the guys
that are in it.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
It's just such.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
A or organized, well done organization.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
And which I just love coming to the rink every
day with this the group, with the groups that I've
been lucky enough to play with.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
Your head coach, Kyle McClellan. I think he eats, breeds
and sleeps hockey. He loves to talk the game. What's
it like when he's in the room talking to you guys.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
He's so smart, he knows so much about the game,
and just take in everything he says.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
He knows, he knows his stuff, but hockey, that's for sure.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
If you had to write on a piece of paper
the part of your game that you like the most
and that you want to work on the most, what
would they be? First of all, what is it you
like most about your game at this point in the year.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
Just my ability to play on both sides of the buck.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
I'm responsible and I'd like to say I play the
right way.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
And you and what would be the part of your
game that you feel you want to work on the most.

Speaker 4 (02:50):
I could be a little bit better offensively, probably comes
a little better skating in my opinion.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
But yeah, that's stuff stuff to work on throat the year.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
What's your game day preparation like, like what kind of
things do you do to get in the zone and
what's your game day meal?

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Usually have just some pasta like spaghetti.

Speaker 5 (03:10):
Or something like that to get right for a game.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
Usually get to the rink a couple hours before the
game and take my stick, hang out with the guys
for a little bit before it's time to go to.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
Work playing here in the historic Halifax form of Great
Old Burn. But besides your home rink, what's your favorite
rink to play in in this league?

Speaker 1 (03:30):
And why this rank is pretty nice to play in.

Speaker 4 (03:33):
It's especially last year in the playoffs it was pretty
awesome atmosphere.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
But the Cape Bretton West rinks also pretty fun.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
And just how small it feels like all the fans
are on top of you while you're playing.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
It's just it's a really great atmosphere.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
I think down in port Hood and Kate Brettan it's
the al McKinnon Sports Center, right, pretty special name on there.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
We'll wrap up with you here in a second.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
You and but you hear players all the time talk
about good ice and the rinks that have the best
ice for you as a forward when you're out there skating.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
To you, what's good ice?

Speaker 4 (04:06):
Just basically like her, it's not your skates, don't dig
into it as much, and the fuck stays flat.

Speaker 5 (04:13):
When it's when you pass, and stuff like that.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
We'll wrap up with you on this. We're getting close
to the holiday season. What are you looking forward to
most during the holiday break?

Speaker 4 (04:23):
Just getting to season family members, I don't see too often.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
And yeah most of that.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
Yeah, on that holiday, note ahead and give a shout
out to anybody you want you and.

Speaker 5 (04:36):
Thank my mom and dad for everything they do.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
