Speaker 1 (00:03):
Steve, my good man. How the devil are you?

Speaker 2 (00:08):
I'm good, buddy, How are you?

Speaker 1 (00:11):
I'm very good, my friend, I am very good. How
was your weekend?

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Yeah it's good mate. What did we do? Use your
family stuff? And then sat in anticipation of a very
good racing weekend. I did an attempt to get up
Sunday morning and watch everything and then failed. I had

(00:40):
a five hour and a half on the sofa.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
And yeah, you needed the sleep month.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Yeah, evidently two kids, you know. Yeah, they kept me busy.
So yeah, I tried, but I failed. I'll have another
going this weekend.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Yeah. I don't think it'll be quite as early this weekend,
but it will still be very early.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
Yeah. Yeah, it's not quite as bad as it. I
think the race started at what six am? Over here
GP something I learned.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
I think it was six am, wasn't it? My three
was at like three?

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Yeah, So I got up. I can't remember what time,
and then yeah, I woke a couple a few hours later.
I was like, WHOA, what's happening.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
It's very confusing when it does that.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Yeah, yeah, we get the sudden reality of what it's
like for everyone else around the world to watch it
was like, this is shit, This is really crap. I
certainly have a new fan respect for everyone around the
world who's like this this is rubbish.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
Yeah yeah, quite quite. We've said it before. See we're
very spoiled in.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
Very spoiled.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
Yeah quite.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Can't talk tonight, Yeah yeah, But how was your weekend, Bud?

Speaker 1 (01:51):
My weekend was all right, man. I also tried to
get up early but didn't actually make it right out
of bed, so I watched Way two, Quoe and Moto
three pretty early and then had to wait the evening
Torch mo GP. So it was a day of anticipation.
But aside from that, just getting ready to leave. Man,
I've got my very last clean shift tomorrow. Us done

(02:15):
here quite. The era has ended.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Mate. This feels very emotional. It's gonna be our last
podcast of view on the Isle of Sky.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
It is, man, it's my last podcast recording from my
shipping container that has been Podcast HQ for the last
chunk of years.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Man, yeah, it was six years or something. We're gonna
have to get some shots. It's a show I should
have come up to be with you and we can
have a very emotional container. We could have burned it.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
Yeah, I'm not sure I will go down well no, no.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
We could have sacrificed it to a god. Yeah, this
feels weird. Next week you'll be here.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Yeah quite. Next week I'll be back in your kitchen,
the Steve. We'll be around the same table again. So
this is gonna be fun exciting. Get the beers in.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
I will get the beers in. I will get a
case of nice beers with nice step up from the Fosters.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Yeah, you we'll find some. We'll go really classy. We'll
get some some I pas I'll sell the beer.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
All right, I'll get some as well. We'll go crazy. Well,
be one of the.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Be a mad one. Anyway, Steve, we do have plenty
to talk about. So shall we dive into the show?

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Yes, buddy, let's go for it.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Excellent. So I'm Tim, He's Steve, and this is for
the love of Moto GP. If you are new to
the show, welcome, and if you are returning, welcome back.

(03:56):
This is for the love of Moto GP. The show.
Steve and I sit down with a couple of beers
and talk about Moto GP like we would in the pub,
as well as having our usual weekly catch up chat
to see.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
How social time as well, so you get to enjoy it.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
With us exactly. It's essentially this podcast is essentially for
you voyeurs out there who just want to peek in
on two other guys chatting away about bike racing. Yeah,
there you go. Enjoy It's voyeurism, but without the what
am I thinking, without the dirtys, the underbelly. That's it exactly.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Yes, Yeah, voyeurism for Good Boys.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Which actually is also the name of my only Fans account,
so you can find that on OnlyFans slash Viorism for
Good Boys.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
We will drop the U r L in the show.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
Notes right then, Steve, So, obviously the big thing happened
this weekend. We will come on to it. We're gonna
call it the big thing. That's obviously Mark Marquez Championship,
and we will talk about that. But let's stick to
the normal kind of rhythm of things. We'll cover a
few news items first, we'll hit the top fives in

(05:18):
Moto two and Moto three. Then we'll get chatting moo GP.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
So sounds like a planned buddy, let's go for it.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
Excellent. So then off the top, Steve, the tire test.
This is interesting to me. Interesting to me from one point,
because it feels like Pirelli have tested more than Micheline
this year, and they've only done one tire test as
far i'm aware, So it feels interesting that the incoming
tire supplier is doing more testing than the current one.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
But fine, maybe relaship. We've actually committed to this. We've
got to do something here.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
Boys, Yeah exactly. You know if it was Micheline, they'd
be like, oh, I've got a whole other year. Yeah,
don't worry about it.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
Yeah, they'd be very chilled and relaxed about it. What
they do. We still Friday the first, All right, we'll
start testing on the thirtieth.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
Yeah, exactly. But yeah, after mazan OPERI had a one
day private test to work on the new tire, and
the day involved a single test rider from each factory.
It was Pedroza, Fernandez, Nakagami, Savagery and Piro and they
were all riding current year MOTORGP machines with their ride
height devices deactivated, as there will be no ride height
adjusters in twenty twenty. Yeah. I've also read some reports

(06:32):
that some factories were using reduced aar row and reduced
horsepower in order to more closely simulate twenty twenty seven bikes.
We don't really know any of this closed private tests,
so this is all kind of hearsaying.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
Coming through a lot of rumors. Very third, fourth, fifth,
and yeah exactly, circling around.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
Quite Apparently the riders were testing different compounds of tires
and simulated qualifying runs as well as a sprint race. Now,
all I could find on this is that they simulated
a sprimt race. Wouldn't it have been amazing if they
were just like, fuck it, let's just with you five,
Let's just have a little qualifying session. Job done. Now,

(07:11):
let's have a little sprint race and just have a
test rider shoot out. How good would that have been?

Speaker 2 (07:16):
That? To me, that's not unreasonable when you think about it.
If they really want to get a race simulation out
of some of these tires, go for it, because yeah,
quite you know, in my head, I tell me if
I'm completely wrong, But you know, if you put a
guy out on track and he's circulating doing his own thing,
he's going around his business, if you put someone else

(07:37):
with him and put him in a race scenario where
you've got to like suddenly jerk the bike move if
you're in a slightly different position that's going to stretch
the tires more, give you a more realistic look at
what will happen exactly.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
And more importantly, as we've seen this year, you can't
follow very well unless you names Mark Marquez because your
front tire heats up and then the pressure gets too
high and you can't do anything. So you think actually
riding in that kind of race situation and having people
in the slipstream and riding closely behind would give Parelli
and the current motcycle manufacturers ship loads of data exactly.

(08:12):
I don't know if they did do it, but if
they had, like, man, they should have recorded that ship
like do it do it all behind closed doors. Get
Netflix in, have them record it from part of ride
to survive. It would be so cool to see.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Man, it would This to me feels a bit more
like one of those closed things that you the riders
would do themselves when the bosses have gone to lunch,
you know, yeah, they've all got together out the back
of the bits and Patros has looked over at Pira
and what fucking race? And he's not Salvadori. You know,
let's have a bit of this and suddenly they're all

(08:48):
out there. You know, look where the big bosses are.
The cars are gone, they're at lunch, and I fule's good.
Just seems like one of them. And there was one
of those comedy moments where the bosses come back and
there's like a load of wreck bikes.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
Yeah exactly what happened. All the riders are just sitting
around a picnic table, not even in their leathers, just
like eating the sandwiches. I don't know what happened, mate,
just looking completely innocent. Yeah, yeah, no, that would be
super cool. I kind of I wish they had done that.
I think it would have been fantastic and great content
like that would go mental and social media.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
Oh that would go absolutely nuts. Yeah, I don't know.
In the fantasy world, it kind of feels like, I
really hope it happens for these guys in the kind
of realistic testing. What approach that all the oh what's
the right word in the right sort of word, format works,

(09:45):
structure of what they've do. Just know, you know there's
gonna be boffins there today. You need to do twenty
three laps and four backwards.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
Yeah, exactly, and they used to hit this pace to
the tenth of a second every lap.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
Just be consistent. You've got the balls in there where
there's little specy glasses doing. You need to do this,
and all the rider wants to do is go give it.
The falls out there just like fucking squeeze the throw.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
But that's what makes a good test rider, to be fair,
someone that can just go.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
Yeah, the one that can calm down and actually tick
the boxes and across and hit all the markers, you know,
the good boy.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
Yeah, quite exactly. So after the test, Giorgio Barbier, who
is Therelli mostcycle racing director, said, off the tires and
the feedback from riders. Now this is the most political
speak that you could imagine. What he said was the

(10:41):
most appreciated features of the tires are definitely grip, warm up,
speed and confidence. You're like, wow, literally that's everything you
need a tire to do. And that's the feedback you've got. Essentially,
is the the tires perfect. It would have been much

(11:02):
better for him to just say, I don't want to
talk about what the riders said. These tires, you know,
we're working on them. Yeah, Like that would have been
much better than this just the ultimate politician line. The
most appreciated features are definitely grip, warm up, speed, and
confidence in brilliant Thank you, sir, I appreciate that.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
Yes, I don't know Durex anti pregnancy device with whom obvious.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
Exactly. That's we could do that for anything, rex. Okay.
The most appreciated features are lubricated, thin, no babies, sordid. Yeah,
where did I go wrong? Well? Yeah, well, Steve, maybe

(11:46):
I'll save the explanation for a time where we're not
recording podcasts.

Speaker 2 (11:49):
Right, draw me some pictures. I go better with pictures.

Speaker 1 (11:51):
Yeah, okay, okay, I'll start working on. If you're lucky,
i'll find your video. Right. So then moving on, a
man who is not lucky right now probably will be
watching plenty of videos. So this is one Jorge Martin.

(12:12):
Following another brutal crash this season in the Mattegi Sprint,
Martin has been diagnosed with a coliberone fracture, his fourth
major injury of twenty twenty five. And this was such
an unfortunate era from Martin, Like the bike was so
unsettled as he grabbed the brakes into turn one, and

(12:32):
he just didn't have the stop and power to slow
down and just careering into everyone like and considering where
he was positioned right on the inside of ten riders,
essentially he had to blow past turn one.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
Quite so lucky.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
I cannot believe that only one other guy went down.
I can't believe he didn't wipe out four or five guys.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
Yeah, this looked like one of those where he was
just going to barrel roll skittle everyone.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
Unfortunate he got injured, and unfortunately was crashed in the
first place. But you know, unfortunately he's got injured. Unfortunate
that it was his teammate for Zeki that he took
out bad and brute, and then it's so so so
fortunate that he didn't wipe out anyone else. Yeah, odds
were not and in his favor on this one.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
No, absolutely not. But yeah, I think everyone got away
with a big one here.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
Yeah, well except Martin.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
Except Martin Man this season content soon enough, Martin can it?

Speaker 2 (13:34):
No, he needs it over. There was a really good
what's good unfortunate for him X ray of his upper
body showing the collar bone break and it all shows
showed the ribs, the broken and heeled ribs, a mess
mate a complete message. Oh really yeah, so what was it?

(13:55):
His good that's right right side. It was his left
side that broke. Was one side, the good sidely lovely,
rip burns, nice and smooth. There were jagged bits on
the broken ones where they've kind of healed stepped together.
I was like, Jesus, this is yeah, his upper body

(14:16):
this year has just been ruined.

Speaker 1 (14:19):
Yeah, yeah, man's second obion.

Speaker 2 (14:21):
Yeah, at this point I'd probably go, right, that's it
for the scene. I'll see you next year.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
It's quite amazing considering his propensity to getting injured, because
this isn't a new thing this year like he has
always had like previous years. Like, yeah, he is so
lucky he got through last season without an injury, Like
it's mud like the boy Martine uninjured can win a championship.
We might have only seen that happen once. That might
be a once in a career thing for him, because

(14:46):
he seems so likely to get aged all the time,
Like that championship might have been a one and done
just because injury from here on out.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
Yeah yeah, it certainly feels like this way that everything
just a line for him. Last year. Luckily, I just
gave him enough to win the championship, and then he
bounces back the following year as defending champ and he's
just ruined. The poor guy. I mean, I'll try and
find him that shot and send it to you with
his rips is gruesome. I just I don't know at

(15:18):
this point. I just want to wrap him in bubble
wrap and send him home for a extended break and then.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
Quite send him to just go chill for the winter.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
Itself. Exactly here up yeah, quite family, take the missus
and just go chill. Oh mate, this guy's luck and
for this weekend are pritty as luck Jesus.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
Yes, quite quite so. He has now had surgery on
that collar bone. He will not be riding in Indonesia
this weekend coming, But we're gonna have to wait and see.
We're reassessed after that. But who knows when he's going
to be black mate? Like rounds five, round to go? Now,
I've heard everything reports him coming back in Phillip Island,

(16:03):
two reports of him being out for a month, which
would leave maybe the last two races, and you imagine
about what he wants me back for Valencia so he
can at least do the Valencia test. But you know,
until then, man, like, just just take it easy for
a bit until he's back in Europe, I suppose, say,
but even putting yourself through a long journey.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
Exactly with the beating that he's taken this year, I
would say, come back at Valencia. Let that be the home. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
Yeah, maybe not Portmow. I think he smashed himself up
pretty badly in Porttermow.

Speaker 2 (16:31):
Yeah. I think he said, crush is there before, let's
go Valencia. Take it easy, So sprint and race and
everything else has a warm up precursor to the test,
and then we start again and just I don't know, Mum, dad, girlfriend,
wrap him in bloody bubble wrap or something. Sedate the

(16:52):
fucker until the start of next season.

Speaker 1 (16:54):
Don't let him open any windows.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
Yeah, no windows, no big doors, no trial riding anything,
just ye playing the piano and the guitar and just
chilling the fuck out.

Speaker 1 (17:08):
I can't imagine Martine and Zarko hanging out, you know,
most of the time. You can. You can imagine riders.
You're like, like, I could see them maybe hanging out occasionally.
Martine and Zarko though they're not.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
A combination that look like physically when you look at
the tat they don't seem like they go together, do though.

Speaker 1 (17:28):
No, you imagine Zarko when he's not racing is like
in the garden, he's like he's growing potatoes and things. Yeah, exactly,
and then he's making he's making a nice cast role
from everything that he's got in his garden. Yeah, job done.
Martinez in Ibetha when he's not racing, like the two
are very chalk and cheese.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
Yeah, I see, yeah, I summer holiday of Martin and
tar Dotzi, you know on the White Aisle Raven. Yeah,
whatever happens to our team, just take it easy, mate,
put the kettle on. We'll send you some Yorkshire to
chill out.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
Yeah yeah, see how well that goes down? I'm not sure.
I don't know if Spaniards are known for drinking a
lot of English breakfast tea.

Speaker 2 (18:15):
I don't know. We'll find out.

Speaker 1 (18:20):
Right then, to a nation that's certainly I'm not fond
of English tea. That is Italy and canvas bikes. Yeah yeah,
fucking good luck mate, But this is to Cati's bikes
for next season. Last week we kind of speculated on
how many GP twenty six is we would see on
the grid but for next season. But I think I

(18:42):
said with six of them, they're all going to have them.
I was wrong. So I'm here to correction corner myself.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
Cue that jingle, Buddy, correction corner.

Speaker 1 (18:57):
Yes, so I'm going to correction corner myself. Steve no
and wrote this in because I guess I wasn't really
that wrong, but I really want to use the jingle.

Speaker 2 (19:03):
Well. Also this nothing was actually spoken about this until
this weekend, wasn't so we were talking in speculation last week.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
Oh yeah, fuck, that's a good point. If I have
to correction corner everything I speculated over the show every
we'll have to release a correction call call it week.

Speaker 2 (19:21):
The Motor Gup Correction Corner Podcast.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
Fgor Low Motor GP cc CC yeah CC who So yes,
we now know how many current year do cates we
are going to have on the Grid next season. Fermin
Alde Gare Halder Gare confirmed he will be riding a
GP twenty five next year, and Frankie Morbidelli intimated the

(19:48):
same thing. So chances are we going to see four
GP twenty six? Is that's going to be Mark Peco,
Alex and Digit and the two GP twenty five are
going to be Firmin and Frankie.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
That's what it sounds like. So I don't at this
point if I was Frankie, Frankie's a where's Frankie in
the championship compared to Digit? Does you above him?

Speaker 1 (20:11):
I think he's ahead of the g Yeah, so Frankie's
in the fifth overall on one hundred and ninety six points. Yeah,
Digit is seventh overall on one hundred and eighty two.
Frank So there's not that much between It's fourteen points
between them.

Speaker 2 (20:27):
It's close. I don't know looking at it. If I
was in that garage, i'd be a little bit nose broke,
you know. I want one of those, I think.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
I don't know, man, I feel like if I was Frankie,
I might be like, just.

Speaker 2 (20:43):
Can I keep the GP twenty four? Oh yeah, just
bike on this. You know, five years time we're still
riding around on it. I'm happy with.

Speaker 1 (20:53):
This, man. Well that's the thing in it that GP
twenty four looks so good that it's still the second
best bike on the grid.

Speaker 2 (20:59):
Yeah, it is the best.

Speaker 1 (21:02):
To be fair, like, you might still be the best.

Speaker 2 (21:04):
The most probably user friendly if you will.

Speaker 1 (21:07):
Yeah, absolutely, Like and in years gone by, do you remember,
like do Katy used to have two year old machines
on the grid. They then have the weird iterations they had,
like the GP thirteen point two.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
The G four the different came out.

Speaker 1 (21:21):
Then GP twelve's on the grid, GP thirteen, GP fourteen's
like there was loads all at once. So I don't know.
Part of me thinks if I was franky, i'd be like,
I just can I just stick with it?

Speaker 2 (21:31):
Maybe, Yeah, that's true, that's true.

Speaker 1 (21:33):
I don't know, but don't want to supply that many
That is true.

Speaker 2 (21:37):
That's probably a big part of it as well.

Speaker 1 (21:39):
Yeah, exactly. But the great thing is here, though, is
we don't know what the bikes are going to look
like next year. We don't know what the GP twenty
five is going to be, or what the GP twenty
six is going to be. We've been told over and
over again the GP twenty five is pretty similar to
the GP twenty four. But that can't be right. I
just failed to believe that's correct. No, And we know

(21:59):
that you can can't bring a new engine for next
year due to the engine freeze.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
Yes, so.

Speaker 1 (22:07):
What what this bike is going to be. We've got
no idea. I'm kind of expecting we're going to see
a GP twenty four or GP maybe twenty four engine
inside a GP twenty five chassis or a new chassis,
probably with revised arrow for the GP twenty six. Like
this is going to be a real mash up.

Speaker 2 (22:24):
It's going to be a Franklinstein's Monster.

Speaker 1 (22:27):
Yeah. Parts in the last three years are going to
be in there.

Speaker 2 (22:30):
Yeah, And I suppose it's kind of down to the
individual as well, because they can choose they variation they
want to a certain extent.

Speaker 1 (22:38):
Well, the's got to be within.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
That kind of package, so it'd have to be agreed
from both sides.

Speaker 1 (22:44):
Yeah. So I think for factory teams, the two bikes
they have to use the same engine.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
Yeah. Do they have to use the same chassis.

Speaker 1 (22:53):
No, we can't have to use the same chassis, but
they do have to homologate the same arrow.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
Yeah, So it'd have to be it's all bultiple, it's
all interchangeable. So it's a really it's gonna be a
really complicated thing to pull together because it's become evident
this year Marc and Pecko want two very different things.

Speaker 1 (23:09):
So Mark go flying funk. He's got mate Michael's ride.

Speaker 2 (23:12):
It will, but he's always he will still.

Speaker 1 (23:16):
To have what Pecko wants.

Speaker 2 (23:17):
Well, this is probably part of it.

Speaker 1 (23:21):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (23:22):
It's gonna be interesting. It's gonna be really interesting to
see what we get, really interesting if they roll out,
you know, some Frankenstein's monster with massive table wings and
all thoughts.

Speaker 1 (23:33):
Again, the things will will not know bikes. We're going
to be holdings to GP twenty six and that we
don't have fun.

Speaker 2 (23:43):
Like we said last week, they'll never tell us, never
never know it. He kept a highly guarded secret until
someone drops a couple of those little drippy droppies in
a U K. Engineer's drink and suddenly his lips are
very loose.

Speaker 1 (23:56):
Yeah, exactly. It sounds like you're planning to honey at
one of them.

Speaker 2 (24:02):
Well, I want answers.

Speaker 1 (24:07):
Excellent. So then finally on the news front, Steve, this
was all rolling in this morning, the kind of final
few silly season pieces are falling into places.

Speaker 2 (24:21):
Started a lot together now like.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
Exactly so, as we've known for a long time now,
Jake Dixon has officially been confirmed for World super Bikes
a Honda in World super Bikes next year, and sonyat
Chantra is going to partner.

Speaker 2 (24:37):
Him Brand's banking new team. Interesting.

Speaker 1 (24:42):
Yeah, so that's Ecolaquona out from that team, but we
already know he's going over to the Ducati factory squad
and Superbikes. And I don't know where Javivier Hay is moving.
Mha Is he moving to Yamaha?

Speaker 2 (24:56):
Yeah? Let me just double Jake. I'm sure this is
only announced, yes as well, Okay, talking about you salespeople,
that's one I did some quick Yeah.

Speaker 1 (25:05):
Well, I guess we're expecting. We don't know who's what
made me do. Johnny Ray is Locker Telly is still
his teammate or alongside him.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
I think it's Lockeratelly. Yeah, how the hell do you suppose, Yabby?

Speaker 1 (25:20):
Yeah x A v I yeah, ye yeah. I don't
know how we'll find a way. Steve's tapping away on
the phone right now. We're getting there there. Before we

(25:41):
started recording, Steve and I became like seventy year old
women using zoom for the first time because we discovered
all the backgrounds and all the filters. So I was
contemplating doing the whole podcast as a cow but I
thought I might put us off a little, but yeah,
we were. We were like old ladies discovering this new technology.
It was great fun.

Speaker 2 (25:59):
It was really fun. I had. I had a whale
of time. I keep discovering new things I can do
all the time.

Speaker 1 (26:05):
And with It's quite amazing is that we are really
far behind right now, Steve. Sometimes I lost feel a
little bit old.

Speaker 2 (26:17):
There is Javi in blue.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
There we go. So Javier Hey is going to Yamaha.

Speaker 2 (26:23):
Yeah, Jaha Europe, it is please Jevi via Hey will
join the official Yamaha team f i M World Superbike
Championship in six.

Speaker 1 (26:33):
Okay, nice, there he is. And we also learned that
going over to World Superbikes officially it is Miguel Oliver.
He is going to join BMW next year alongside Danniello Patrucci.

Speaker 2 (26:49):
I'm glad all these guys are still got rides. I've
gutted some of them are going. I really am. But
at the same time, I'm also I've been watching a
lot more World Superbikes recently and I'm really getting into
it again. You've got a nice think of them. As
you know, I can always compare everything. I got to
sector and it's GPS man.

Speaker 1 (27:12):
Like I think if you go see club racing or
even like national level racing, it feels like a different sport.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
It's great and you've just got to get in that
mindset of like it is what it is. You've got
to look at it and treat it as its own entity.
And I've been watching super bikes. I've watched him at
the weekend at Aragon, Fantastic Racing, really enjoyed it, watched
some of these super sport races. Fantastic had a great time. Yeah,
it's just got to dedicate the time.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
And it helps me that are just being names you recognized,
doesn't it. That's kind of the point now with Jantra
Dixon Olivera. I mean, actually I don't know what the
full World super Bike lineup is for next year, but
ship wow. I just tried to Google World super Bike
line Up twenty twenty six and put to w s

(28:03):
NK Lineup twenty twenty six. Google suggested the results for
WANK Lineup twenty twenty six and just, yep, just give
me a lot of Have.

Speaker 2 (28:16):
You got a lot of sausage on your screen?

Speaker 1 (28:19):
Well, I haven't clicked images, so I'm just gonna back
out search, yeah, exactly find the list. What dold you
mad to fix it? I just changed the what I
actually googled?

Speaker 2 (28:33):
Oh right, okay, okay, So when you said that, I
was like, well, I need to write this down. I
goes near the p I'm like.

Speaker 1 (28:45):
Oh, dear, at least you're not worried if they're going
near the at E to be fair, don't stress it.
So the this is the lineup for this year, then
at least I'm just gonna run through it and we'll
see who in World Superbikes has come from the Grand
Prix paddock, because this is kind of what I mean, like,

(29:06):
if you know a load of the names, it's much
easier to enjoy the the other series really, so straight
off here in championship order, Nicolo Bouleger was obviously Motors
three Moto twos. You know, Patrucci was MotoGP lock of
Telly Lock of Telly Rode in three right, Yeah, yeah,
So Alva Botiso GP, Sam Lowe's Moto two, Javier Hey

(29:30):
Moto two, Andre Aria No Name Motor GP, Dohmy Agta
Moto two, Remmy Gardener Moto two, Eclaquona motor GP. It's
got reading motor GP.

Speaker 2 (29:42):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (29:43):
Just that bunch of top guys and then loads of
people behind them that have never been a motor GP.
So it's pretty wild.

Speaker 2 (29:50):
You dig down at the supersports, one of the one
brothers is there, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (29:55):
Channel choosing superpport, isn't he There's rumors of him going
up to super bikes next year.

Speaker 2 (29:59):
I think yeah, it's stat field as well. You just
got to look at it and enjoy it for its
own separate entity, and the.

Speaker 1 (30:05):
Racing is just having those names you reckon, it's like
a cool thing.

Speaker 2 (30:09):
Yeah. Yeah, for that crossover for us, if you're going
to jump from one and sort of start watching the
other one, that kind of familiarity, you've got someone there,
you know. It's like when you change the school as
a kid and used to know somebody. Yeah, there's always
that reliability. So next year, good luck leads.

Speaker 1 (30:29):
Yeah right, I've just sen Tar as well. He said
fourth place standard. Yeah, he's scored six points this year standard,
so yes, and we're expecting as well. The Diego Morera
announcement to.

Speaker 2 (30:47):
Any time.

Speaker 1 (30:47):
Why it didn't happen in Japan, I'm not sure.

Speaker 2 (30:50):
Maybe they were just maybe there was the loose ends
to tie up with these two, maybe, you know, trying
to dug his heels in, but who knows it'll be
announce sooner. Maybe he hasn't, Marie has not made up
his mind yet.

Speaker 1 (31:02):
Who knows you plot to us, it's actually man Wel Gonzalez,
who the best kept secret in Motor GP.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
Yeah. Suddenly they're like, fuck you lot, We're not going
to tell you our plans. We're going to make you
wait for them. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (31:15):
Quite, what's the bet? And we see Jake Dixon riding
a Honda Botter GP bike at some point next year.

Speaker 2 (31:21):
Yeah, through injury replacing mirror who's dumped it somewhere or
potentially were rarer.

Speaker 1 (31:30):
Yeah quite, that was kind of what I was thinking. Yeah, yeah,
I imagine, oh, you know, Chance has already got my
GP experience and maybe they just chuck him in.

Speaker 2 (31:38):
Yeah. I suppose it would depends on who's free, what
round it is, could have some bearing.

Speaker 1 (31:43):
Yeah quite quite right then, Steve, that kind of gets
us through the news. So let's take a quick break
and then when we come back, we will dive into
the top fives in Mostly three and Moto two.

Speaker 2 (31:55):
Dramas let's do it right here we go.

Speaker 1 (32:14):
Thank you for bearing with us. We are back, bladders
are mt beers are full, and Steve, we are ready
to dive in to the top five.

Speaker 2 (32:25):
We are, buddy, Let's go for it. Let's have a
look at him.

Speaker 1 (32:29):
We will do. But before we get there, Steve, I
just want to do a quick mention here that we
are over on Patreon. If anyone has the financial wherewithal
to help out your two favorite least knowledgeable Moto GP
podcast podcasters out there, then come over links in the

(32:53):
show notes, sign up for just a couple of quid
a month less new pay for a coffee less. Then
you'd tip a waiter in a shitty restaurant who spat
in your food. You could help us out. It would
be much appreciated, and you get access to monthly, monthly
Patreon shows. I'm also interested to know if people would

(33:17):
be more willing to sign up to Patreon if I
put ad free versions of just the normal podcast up
there as well. Is that something people actually listen to
and actually want, because let me know. If that is
the case, I will start doing that and that goes
out to the current patrons as well. If you do
want those ad free shows, let me know and I
will just pop those up there as well. I can
do that. But yeah, it would be much appreciated if

(33:38):
anyone would come and help us out over there. You know,
as mentioned, this is my last week of a paid
employment for at least six weeks or so, so it
would just be really nice just have your guilt trip
for you all. But if you can't help us out
over on Patreon, something else that is super helpful would

(33:59):
be just give a cheeky review wherever that's Apple, whether
that's Spotify, whether it's on just like cheeky little review.
Everyone know how great we are. Also, yeah, exactly, we
would really appreciate that too. If either one of those
options appeals, that'd be great.

Speaker 2 (34:18):
Thank you in advice, guys.

Speaker 1 (34:20):
Thank you in advance, very presumptive, Steve. I like that.
Let's move it on to Moto three's top five, shall we.

Speaker 2 (34:28):
Let's go for it.

Speaker 1 (34:30):
Good stuff. So this race was looking like it was
to become a typical Moto three battle, you know, like
this is a circuit strike break, straight break, straight break,
little turn strike break like kind of this is a
circuit where Moto three bikes can stick together quite a.

Speaker 2 (34:50):
Lot, really a breakaway around.

Speaker 1 (34:52):
Here exactly, that is until the rain steve and the
rain did hit during this race. It wasn't a lot
of it, no, but it was enough to affect the
grip and the overall lap time just attached.

Speaker 2 (35:08):
Yes, yeah, it was just more of a an inconvenience
to them than anything. It wasn't a lot, but it
was enough enough to get them thinking and worrying.

Speaker 1 (35:19):
Exactly. And we did see that that times drop and
we saw gaps open up as well in the field
to those who were a bit braver could open up
gaps here and there. And then the rain stopped, the
sun came out, and those gaps closed right up again.
So it made for a really fascinating race. I actually
really enjoyed this one.

Speaker 2 (35:39):
Yeah, this is quite a sad of a race because
we had like a good start, the rain came and
made it interesting. Then, like you said, we hadn't the
end part. So it was a really fascinating and interesting RoCE.

Speaker 1 (35:49):
I like this one a lot, Yeah, quite so. The
top five then looked like this. In fifth place was
Adrian Fernandez, top ponder, and he fought hard for it,
didn't He.

Speaker 2 (36:02):
Just yeah, this was not easy. Bless him showed his quality.
So yeah, hard fought.

Speaker 1 (36:08):
He looked a hard four fifth place, and he looked
amazing in the wet, and then when things dried out
a bit, he didn't quite have the pace and the
four guys in front, which is a bit of a shame.
I think if if it had remained a bit slick
and a bit slippy, I think he would have finished higher.
You know, I think we could have been talking about
a finance podium.

Speaker 2 (36:25):
Yeah, yeah, I think that's not unfeasible, you know, but
like I said, once it dried out, they kind of
lost that devised a bit like a Caddy of twenty eleven,
if you will. They did well in the wet, so
this guy just looked, Yeah, I think this is more
down the Ducati in those kind of early teens. Was
it was just a bit of a dog, wasn't it

(36:46):
in the dry and then in the wet it kind
of It's not that it got better in the wet,
it just lost less performance.

Speaker 1 (36:53):
Than everyone else.

Speaker 2 (36:56):
Felt along that line.

Speaker 1 (36:57):
Yeah, you know, everybody's based on essentially, Fernandez was on
the soft front, along with a lot of the other
Hondas actually, which meant it just performed better when the
temperatures dropped on the track a little, and then yeah,
degraded when the rain stopped, so it almost had some
weird kind of intermediate tire thing going on. Just fourth

(37:23):
place then in this one was a Valentine Perni, another
really good result for the rookie, and he had such
a good battle with Kles for a lot of the
closing laps but just didn't quite have enough at the
end to get it on the box.

Speaker 2 (37:37):
So that was a seriously good battle as well. It
was a pleasure to watch these two rays.

Speaker 1 (37:43):
But yeah too, just really hot headed fast rookies.

Speaker 2 (37:48):
A couple of yeah fast, yeah, hot headed rookies is
a good way. It was a pleasure to all.

Speaker 1 (37:57):
Two guys that are battling for Rookie of the Year.

Speaker 2 (37:58):
Exactly, so there was some bragging rights at stake here. Yeah. Yeah,
a really good, really good performance of Validine.

Speaker 1 (38:07):
Oh they're not barkling for Rookie of the Year at all.
They were no Alva Cape closer. Yeah yeah, I'm getting
my my ridble ktm brookies confused.

Speaker 2 (38:21):
Yes, yeah, we both are there. Yeah, understandables looks the same.
I mean they're on the same team as well, are
identical exactly. Annoyingly, I keep getting very confused between valent
and Peroni, and uh, is it the Genti Periz Is
that his name? When they're showing them the screen, I'm like, oh, no,

(38:43):
which VP of you? There's a couple like that, same
sort of initials, yeah, kind of name, and it's.

Speaker 1 (38:51):
Colin Vaya and Cellstino Vietti. Just fox me every time. Well,
they're not exactly the same, the e and the eye
a different way around for each, but I can never
remember which it is, Wow, vias up out of I know,
is it fire, which one's Via?

Speaker 2 (39:09):
I just sit there. Oh God, got to suddenly do
something I don't want to do. Think I want to
enjoy the race, but I know exactly what. It's really
hard to dissume your street. The two on the time
in Towers, Christ come.

Speaker 1 (39:20):
On, yeah, exactly mate. If Danny Munuoff and David Muno
were in the same class would be fun.

Speaker 2 (39:26):
We'd be screwed straight away. But just giving up, I'm
not bothering turn the time into off.

Speaker 1 (39:31):
Yeah, often, it's funny. I like that you did swipe
it away in like almost a minority report fashion.

Speaker 2 (39:39):
There gone out of it.

Speaker 1 (39:42):
That was very good.

Speaker 2 (39:43):
Mind tricked.

Speaker 1 (39:47):
Third place in this one. Then Steve was the aforementioned
Maximum Kyles, And I'm running out of ways to praise
this guy this year. He's just an absolutely phenol man
like Max Kles. If he ain't in GP fight, you know,
with David Lonzo, Daniel Gardo, with Pedro Costa, Like, if

(40:07):
he's not up there fighting with those guys in the
next five years, then something weird's happened because he's such
a beast in Motive at three. But then, you know
what I thought this about rides in the past. Who's
the Motor two guy that I thought this about for
a long time?

Speaker 2 (40:20):
Oh? Mate, yeah, I hope not. I really do hope.
Maximum this year has showed some form which I don't
think anyone saw truly coming. We all had an idea
based on the end of last year, but this year

(40:42):
has just blown our minds. You know, you chummed it
up perfectly right in the show notes bringing out ways
to praise this guy, because it's always seems like, you know,
being a rookie leading the Rookies Championship, if you will,
it is hard to praise someone everything a week Yeah.

Speaker 1 (41:01):
Quite, it's just.

Speaker 2 (41:03):
On form, on fire, and it's a pleasure to watch
him race, especially when he's battling was like Baroni like
this weekend.

Speaker 1 (41:10):
Yeah, yeah exactly, he says. Just having that season to me,
you're like, if Pedro Costa hadn't have existed, like this
would be the best rookie Motor three season I've ever seen.
Unfortunately for him, Pedro a Costa came through just a
few years ago, so we will remember.

Speaker 2 (41:23):
That quite well. He is the best after Pedro.

Speaker 1 (41:27):
Yeah, I think so right now for rookie performance. It'd
be interesting, no, actually, to actually run the numbers and
just see, yeah, you have like the top rookies each
year have been. It would be quite interesting. I think
I can probably GETCHATCHI up for me, so well, check what.
Let me leave a note to myself and I'll see
if I can get AI to to write me a list.

Speaker 2 (41:48):
I'll use my pen and paper and write it down.
Use that's an e A.

Speaker 1 (41:54):
I that's very good, Steve. I like that You've gone
really old school to tell you to use AI.

Speaker 2 (42:00):
I have to otherwise I forget stuff.

Speaker 1 (42:05):
Okay, well, second place in this one, Steve was Jose
Antonio Ruaida solid points and a big step closer to
the title. He has a match point next time out,
and do you know what, considering when the rain started,
he was down the bottom of the top ten for
a lot of the race, and this was an incredible
comeback to work his way back through to second. Just

(42:26):
a cracking performance from Raider this weekend.

Speaker 2 (42:29):
Yeah, this one really was showed. Why you know he's
got match point next time out that far back and
then suddenly bringing it right through. Yeah, fantastic. So yeah,
I hope he does wrap it up next weekend, or
do I do we want it to go to Valencia? Yes,
we wanted to go to Valencia.

Speaker 1 (42:46):
Well, we do want it to go to Valencia, but
the only way it goes to Valencia is if Rwader
gets hurt or absolutely shits the bed in the next
few rounds, because he's nearly one hundred points clear. He is.

Speaker 2 (42:59):
Yeah, this is the awkward thing. We always say we
want the title battles to come down for Valentia because
after the tension and the drama. But when you've got
someone who's pulled such a gap like through the season,
like this with five rounds to go, like you say,
someone is really bad, it's going to happen. So, yeah,
it's an awkward one. I kind of do and I
kind of don't. I like to see him wrap it

(43:22):
up early just for the bragging right state, you know,
I've done it really quick, but also for the tension
and the drama and the build up and the hype
that we all get. You want it to go to
Valencia to give you that kind of just package for
the last weekend.

Speaker 1 (43:36):
Yeah, exactly. The thing is you want a battle to
go down to Valencia. You want it like in Moto two.
To be fair, they retired Yoga Morera has looked like
the best rider this year for much of the season,
man Wl Godzas has looked like the best rider. But
if it does get close enough to go down to Valencia,
between those two, you kind of think, okay, this is
deserved battle. If this Moto three battle goes down to

(43:59):
Valencia and this hasn't been a fair battle because something
has happened to Await and this has clearly been the
absolute best ride at all year.

Speaker 2 (44:05):
That is the trade off, you know. Essentially, he's gotten
to wrap it up this weekend just to cement his
own year and like you say, yeah.

Speaker 1 (44:15):
Well, if he doesn't do it this weekend, he does
it in Australia pretty much.

Speaker 2 (44:20):
Yeah, I think this is the first time this weekend
he can wrap it up, isn't it? So they don't always.

Speaker 1 (44:25):
Do he out I think if he outscores Peca. In fact,
I just need to minimize you for a second, seef. Whoa.
If I minimize you, you appear in a tiny little
window your face. Yeah, I didn't know that happened to
look at that. I might keep you there. That's much nicer.
I don't have to look at myself anymore. That's much better.
I'm a bit of a narcissist. My eyes are just

(44:46):
drawn to my own face all the time.

Speaker 2 (44:49):
I always have you, like my screen is always fifty
to fifty and then normally I don't have my shared
screen little box on the top. But if I you know,
I can minimize you right down. It's how I used
to do it. I had to holes green. As the
show notes, then you wear toly box that you used
to just sit under the light of the webcam.

Speaker 1 (45:09):
Yeah, no, that's better. I like that. I'm gonna leave
you there like that. That's much better. That's good. We
as I saying. Anyway, So if Ruada outschools Perkeras next
time out by eight points, no matter what happens, ruidos champion.

Speaker 2 (45:28):
Now that's very dirict.

Speaker 1 (45:29):
There are enough race is left that one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight,
So Ruider is on eight wins currently, Percas is currently
on four. So yeah, it has to be eight points
because if Ruada outscores per Caras by seven points, then
there will be exactly one hundred points left and it

(45:51):
would come down potentially to count back, and there are
still enough races left that Caras could equal him for
first places, but then it would come down to second
places and then it would get really complicated.

Speaker 2 (46:04):
That would be complicated.

Speaker 1 (46:05):
Yet I think, yeah, outscore him by eight points or
do it by seven points and win the race and
then job done.

Speaker 2 (46:13):
Yeah, it's almost a certainty, but we will have to
wait and.

Speaker 1 (46:17):
See exactly we will mate. We will indeed, but then first,
well not first. Finishing first in the Mategi Mota three
race was David Munyoth and he looked unstoppable. This one
was fast, yeah, so good was fast all weekend. Then

(46:39):
in the race was able to use that speed to
take a lead, especially when it got a bit slippery
and disappear.

Speaker 2 (46:46):
Yeah, the guy just went for it. This was Yeah.
We would say we didn't want to see a bit
of a runaway leader, but when they do, especially Motor three,
it's a pleasure to watch because they're fast and the
smooth and it's lovely to see. And David this weekend
did it perfectly.

Speaker 1 (47:03):
Yeah. And I tell you what, mate, if he had
had a good six opening rounds to the year rather
than yeah, if he didn't averaged what he's done since
Aragon to now in those first six rounds of the year,
he'd be right in the title fight.

Speaker 2 (47:21):
Yeah. Absolutely, it's just those first few rounds that let
him down. The rest simple Aragon have just been unbelievable.
So it's one to look back on and learn from
for him.

Speaker 1 (47:33):
Yeah, yeah, absolutely absolutely, he's got to be a championship
favorite next time.

Speaker 2 (47:37):
It has to be. It really does have.

Speaker 1 (47:39):
I think he's saying him is he staying.

Speaker 2 (47:44):
Three moving teams?

Speaker 1 (47:48):
See, let me see if anything's no. The thing is
that David min No he's confirmed with the Lick team still.

Speaker 2 (48:00):
Well, at least he hasn't. He's got a right he'll
be there next year, so he without a shadow at
doubt he'll be one of the favorites.

Speaker 1 (48:07):
Yeah, yeah, absolutely, But then he was one of the
favorites going into this year in the early part of
the season, so anything can happen.

Speaker 2 (48:18):
Indeed, Steve fingers toes and everything crossed that next year
he doesn't have the same start to the season.

Speaker 1 (48:25):
Yeah, quite, let's move it on then, Steve Moto two. Yes, Now,
this race wasn't quite as exciting as three. I think
it was maybe the weakest of the three races on
the day. Some interesting stuff happened, but there wasn't really

(48:46):
any But there was some battling is always battling that
Marera is involved. Some stuff did happen, but it wasn't
a duel at the front I suppose.

Speaker 2 (48:56):
Yes, Yeah, the action happened further down, but it was
still it was nice to watch. It was a good
orderly race this weekend.

Speaker 1 (49:06):
Yeah exactly. So let's do the top five. So fifth
place Steve was Manuel gone Zales, and let's be fair
right now, he did have stronger pace than fifth that
ended up mired in the pack after a bad start
from pole position and then being pushed wide in term
one by Vietti, and then even with that and he

(49:30):
was pushed down like ninth place, he still had the
pace to be on the podium had he not earned
himself a long lap penalty for wiping out Vietti in
some weird revenge moment. No, it wasn't. It was just
a fucking bit. It was actually not even that idiotic.
It was really tight. I didn't think it was quite
as egregious as the commentators thaw like. He He obviously

(49:54):
did wipe Vietti out, there's no question about it, but
it's not like he properly plowed into the side of it,
just ran fractionally deep and he kind of just clipped
his handlebar, which is what it. It's not like it
was one of those big side to side Frankie Morbidelli
type impacts where you kind of go out and wipe
the wheels out.

Speaker 2 (50:13):
But yeah, it was quick, clean part of the.

Speaker 1 (50:15):
Bike exactly, and it just destabilized the front and Viti
was out. So before that Gonzals did a long that penalty.
I think, I don't know, it was one of those
it feels I think it could have gone either way,
but the speed it happened at I think there'd have
been a lot of questions had there not been a penalty.

Speaker 2 (50:34):
Yeah, I think there would have been equal questions asked
if given. And sometimes I think you look at it anything,
the stewards has done the right thing by giving him
a penalty, because the guy did, you know, for a
half hardish move to go down. Yeah, you know, it
could have equally has been avoided by like half a

(50:57):
tenth of a second. He has just been enough back
to not happened it.

Speaker 1 (51:01):
Just yeah, and even if he'd hit him on the
side and not clipped the handlebar and not wiped him
out like he'd got away with him, it would have
been fine. Like, I'm not upset with the penalty. Likewise,
I don't think i'd have been upset if you hadn't
got a penalty. I think this was almost as close
to that fifty fifty, not as as you can get. Like,
I think it was so close, but I'm finding it

(51:22):
either way, to be honest, the move wasn't great.

Speaker 2 (51:24):
Yeah, that's exactly how I kind of feel. This one
says right on that note edge and it's really hard
to care either way.

Speaker 1 (51:31):
So yeah, that's how I felt. But then I don't know.
The commentators felt like it was quite an egregious move.
The students took a while to make. Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (51:39):
For this side with the stewards, and you know, it
took him a long time. They've obviously looked at it,
debated it, and I think the time it took them
shows that it was a hard choice to make. So
that's what I'm putting my faith in.

Speaker 1 (51:53):
Yeah, now, I think you're probably right. So yeah, I
like that. I'm not upset about it. I wouldn't have
really been upset either way. But yeah, he lost himself
a chance of getting on the podium. But all things considered,
the fifth place was a really good result and he
kept the pain to kind of a minimum, considering Marera
didn't win the race, did finish ahead, but didn't finish
that far ahead. And Aaron Cannet mate, like he did

(52:14):
even finish the race.

Speaker 2 (52:15):
Actually he just.

Speaker 1 (52:17):
Yeah, where has he got?

Speaker 2 (52:19):
He's no longer missed second place.

Speaker 1 (52:22):
It's just no, he finished fifteenth in this one.

Speaker 2 (52:24):
It's just fallen off a knife edge.

Speaker 1 (52:28):
Yeah he's now fuck me, mate, he's now for nearly
fifty points back.

Speaker 2 (52:33):
Well, it just feels like it's I don't know, something
is not right there. You know, mister consistent has suddenly
lost that consistency. And when the guy who's won what
probably more second place right finishes in motitude than anyone else.

Speaker 1 (52:54):
Oh my god, does he have the most That's a
really good question.

Speaker 2 (52:57):
I think he does.

Speaker 1 (52:57):
I would be surprised if he does.

Speaker 2 (52:59):
You know. Yeah, Well, the point is, you know, when
suddenly someone so consistent starts getting fifteenth places, dropping down
the order, and it's suddenly a long way back, It's like,
what's what's happened? You know? I know his results haven't
been this like always ten places back from Gonzalez. He's
been closer a lot of the time, but he just

(53:20):
lost that sudden consistency. I'm just thinking, what's going on?
Was it the pressure? Was it? You know, one bad
race and suddenly he's, you know, feeling the pressure and
it's got to him. I can't work out what it is.

Speaker 1 (53:33):
I think it's just this season, man. Like I think
because he said earlier in the year, didn't he that
he was Like he watched i Agora essentially consistently podium
his way to a championship, and Aaron kind of at
the start of the year was saying, like, I could
do that same thing. I don't need to go out
and try and win every race. I could just try
and get there consistently. And I wonder if that has
just taken the edge off him occasionally some choices he's

(53:56):
making in races, which means that he's not financially like.
He's got a bunch of fourth place finishes this season
that maybe could have been podiums, but he's got a
lot of bottom top ten finishes. Actually's not that many,
as he's got seventh, he's got tenth or sixth or seventh, fifteenth,
But he's not anywhere as consistent as Mamon Gonzalez has

(54:16):
clearly been, and even Diego Morrera has been.

Speaker 2 (54:19):
Yeah, it's strange. Something's not right there, can it? And
I hope it whatever it is, he can get it
ironed out, get back to podium ways.

Speaker 1 (54:32):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2 (54:35):
So.

Speaker 1 (54:36):
Then Steve Aaron Knnon didn't even finish in the and
he got a good chat there. Yeah, quite so. Fourth
place in this one was David Alonzo. Yes, and as
per usual, Man Alonso had an amazing pace on news
tires and as per usual, looked good all we get.

Speaker 2 (54:56):
Yeah, he's starting to say he's looking really good over
the weekend most of the time. Now, is that the
guy's good on used tires, The guy's really finding his form?

Speaker 1 (55:10):
Yeah? Speed, Yeah quite. He fell back a bit at
the start of the race, but as per usual, it
came back to him as the tire were started kicking
him for everyone, and just another great result for the
rookie who seems to absolutely nail it on used tires
but just can't get anything going with the tires of fresh.

Speaker 2 (55:29):
No needs a good scrubbed in tire. This boy, it's
a show. You can't get scrubbed entire as the last
the entire race. But there we are qualified.

Speaker 1 (55:37):
No, but once he's now that skill mate, maybe you
know it's better to be able to be really good
on used tires and learn how to be really good
on fresh tires as opposed to the other way around,
where you're really going to fresh tires but you burn
them up really quick, aler Jack Miller and then you
have to really scrabble around. Like I think this is
maybe a better way to go about it. And you
know what, this year probably isn't that dissimilar to his

(56:01):
first year. In three. Let's go back and have a look.
That's a good idea. When what was his first year
of Motor three twenty three?

Speaker 2 (56:08):
Yeah? Yeah, two years in No, yeah, he had two
years in Moto three he did.

Speaker 1 (56:15):
Oh my god, mate, his fox is so good. His
rookie year in Moto three was actually much better than
this year has been a moti. He finished third in
the championship. He was only twenty nine points off the win.
That's right, No, thirty nine points off the win. But
he won four races and took another one, two, three,

(56:40):
four second place finishes. Rookie Moto three season was better
than his rookie Moto twos.

Speaker 2 (56:46):
Well, he's building though, The guy is honing his skills
in mootu and there's you know, he's got pedigree. The
guy will come on strong next year.

Speaker 1 (56:56):
Yeah, great, And I mean it's all still trending in
the right direction, exactly upwards spiral or not a downwards one.
So that's what we like, exactly third place in this one,
then Steve was one doogo morera and it was an
interesting final few laps with Alonso right on his case,
but he did manage to hold it for third. It's

(57:18):
a shame for him that he didn't quite capitalize on
gonzales bad race, though if he'd been able to take
a win here, the championship would be well on. As
it is, there are thirty four points between them with
five rounds left to go. Now certainly not insurmountable. However,
Madore Gonzales has been solid this year. If he's not
been able to win races, apart from three DNFs, everything

(57:42):
has been in the top five, and most of those
have been top six seas.

Speaker 2 (57:45):
So the pressures on Marera here and to really set up.

Speaker 1 (57:50):
Yeah, Morera needs to step up. Gonzales just needs to
keep doing what he's doing.

Speaker 2 (57:53):
Yeah, And so it makes interesting factors. But yeah, you know,
finishing third to fifth, that's not quite enough. A second
and first we'd be fantastic if Yeah, you know, if
man will finished down a fifth, it will close it
up a lot quicker. But it's again for Marera's trending
in the right right direction, just slowly when it comes

(58:16):
to the championship, there's.

Speaker 1 (58:17):
Yeah, and with just five rounds left, it might be
too slowly.

Speaker 2 (58:20):
It's too slowly. Yeah, he needs a first. With Manuel
well down there in sort of fifth, to really close
it in.

Speaker 1 (58:27):
Yeah, well he kind of needs to win the next
tow or three races to keep this championship challenge alive,
or he needs to hope that something weird happens to Gonzales.

Speaker 2 (58:35):
Yeah, Gonzalees isn't unknown for a crash or a mechanical
so crazy things going to happen.

Speaker 1 (58:42):
Weird things have appened to Gonzales this year, to be fair.
He picked the wrong tires in Texas, he crashed out
in the wet and silverster mechanical wrap in Austria. Oh
that's where he had the engine stone overheated.

Speaker 2 (58:55):
So yeah, weird things that happen. It's it's racing stuff.
We don't know what's going to happen every we again,
so we can only look at the trends and go
on that form.

Speaker 1 (59:05):
Yeah, exactly, second place then Steve In this one was
Jake Dixon, and he looked like the fastest rider throughout.
He only managed sixth and qualifying, which put him a
bit on the back foot. Yes, but it was a
solid recovery ride to second place, and after getting into
second he managed to close down over three seconds on

(59:26):
the race leader. It weren't quite enough, laps in the
end for him to fight for the win. But if
he'd got through earlier or qualified higher, it might have
been a different story of Jake this week Yeah.

Speaker 2 (59:35):
I think qualifying is really what maya Jake this weekend.
You know, if you'd have been just closer to the
front the start, it would have been a very different story,
I'm sure of it. But even though, you know, good
weekend overall for Jake P two and then announcement he's
off to World Superbikes to race for Effectivey team next year,
so happy days for him there all good?

Speaker 1 (59:54):
Yeah, yeah, exactly, just a pretty solid weekend all around.

Speaker 2 (59:59):
For ja Yeah, which you've got a tear now and
win the last five races and be like, look what
you're left behind?

Speaker 1 (01:00:05):
Is he still in a championship hunt here? No, it's
too far, not realistically but math mat Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:00:12):
But realistically he did Gonzalas to watch it the bed
in nearly every race.

Speaker 1 (01:00:19):
Drop sixty four points back and there's still one hundred
and twenty five off for grab Steve.

Speaker 2 (01:00:25):
It's not impossible, not impossible.

Speaker 1 (01:00:26):
No, it would be a fucking come way.

Speaker 2 (01:00:31):
A comeback is doable, but it would be one hell
of a comeback, a great one for.

Speaker 1 (01:00:34):
They have to win all five races and hope that
everyone else ahead of him ship there.

Speaker 2 (01:00:38):
Yeah. Literally, there'd have to be some what Lorenzo esque
moments to wipe out all the front runners a couple
of races.

Speaker 1 (01:00:47):
Yes, exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:00:48):
He's watched a lot of mariocuties, like he goes skins.

Speaker 1 (01:00:53):
Yeah, he's like fucking blue Sholl's sorry.

Speaker 2 (01:00:55):
I have that one rocket, Yes, yeah, jumping his way around. Ye.

Speaker 1 (01:01:02):
Anyway, winning this race, Steve was Danny Olgardo, taking his
second win in three races. Olgardo looked absolutely imperiod he did.
He got a good launch and when he got past Morera,
he just took time out of everyone throughout the early
laps and built himself at a really solid lead. Dixon

(01:01:22):
did manage a mighty attempt to close the gap in
the final laps, but it wasn't enough, and Olgado won
by one point three seconds at the end of the day.

Speaker 2 (01:01:31):
Yeah, Danny's pace at the start of this race and
how he managed it was incredible. And this guy was
off built up that lead and they just managed that.
He knew, judging by his pitboard. Even when Jake had
got in the second and started closing down. He could
just masch. He knew he you know, he had time
as long as he managed his tires, managed his lap times,
he could just ride around, even a couple of cents
lower and he wouldn't catch him. Yeah, a really impressive

(01:01:54):
intelligent ride this one.

Speaker 1 (01:01:57):
Yeah, I agree. And do you know what I bet
David Alonso, his teammate is looking at him like for fuck,
like yeh, fucking idiot, because that's now his second winning
three races after you know, Alonso went and burst the
rookie cherry for race wins this year and Orgado, who
has been better than him all season to be fair,

(01:02:19):
excuse me, sir, absolutely fucking not. And since that race,
wind has taken Oh god, he's done really well. Since
so Alonso won in Hungary and after that Algado one
in Catalonia, was third in Mazano and one again in Japan.
Really lit a fire under him.

Speaker 2 (01:02:39):
Sometimes you need that, you need a little kickup the
ass and there's something to happen if you suddenly go, right,
that's it enough. Now time we go to school. And
that certainly feels like what's happened?

Speaker 1 (01:02:52):
Yeah, yeah, it really does. It's going to be for
those who are fighting for the championship next year, it's
going to be fascinating.

Speaker 2 (01:02:58):
Hope, I really do hope.

Speaker 1 (01:02:59):
So yeah, who else will be in the class next year?
Next year could be oh my god, may next year.
I hate that we do this about sport all the time, like, well,
next year could be amazing.

Speaker 2 (01:03:13):
But I think it's a habit just this year. I
think that's a habit of like all motorsport fans. Because
of the silly season, you get that sort of anticipation
for the next year. You're teased as such before the
season's over to to forward think and look ahead and think, oh,
that's gonna be absolutely credible. Let's get next year. Suddenly

(01:03:35):
you know your your Christmas shopping and you try to
get centered down the treatment as quickly as fucking possible. Yeah,
you're on the roof shoveling down. Get down there, fat boy.
It's yeah. It's a very unique sport for that, isn't
it Where.

Speaker 1 (01:03:53):
You're I think it's just a motor sport.

Speaker 2 (01:03:55):
Yeah, I don't think it happens in any other sport
where you get that that crazy season whilst anticipation whilst
the season is still on and you don't get it
in football or any other sport as far as I'm aware, And.

Speaker 1 (01:04:09):
No, I don't.

Speaker 3 (01:04:10):
You don't get it in team sports certainly do you
get it in other kind of.

Speaker 1 (01:04:14):
Most solo e sports like this though, don't have the
defined seasons in this way, like a lot of athletics
and stuff. I know they have on season off season stuff,
but it's not like with something like athletics or a
lot of kind of single I know this is sort
of a team sport, but it's a single athlete sport.
It's kind of a weird one in that. But most

(01:04:37):
of them, you know, people don't turn up to every event.
The best in the world aren't meeting each other at
every challenghips or at every race or every how far
can I throw this item competition? Like a lot of them,
Well they javelin the shop at the discuss. It's quite
a few throw item context. So it's the Highland Games

(01:04:57):
throw a long one.

Speaker 2 (01:05:00):
Yeah, that one isn't it's an idea of that one
to get is whoever gets the log as straight as possible.

Speaker 1 (01:05:05):
Mate, I don't know the fuck, honestly, I don't think
they know the rules. I do it. They don't know
what's going on.

Speaker 2 (01:05:11):
They are also judges making it up.

Speaker 1 (01:05:17):
I think that's what the judges are. Yeah, but I
wouldn't say that too loudly, as you can tell, because
I'm trying to learn my voice. Think it's just well,
the Highland Games is just a piss up. They just
let's just get a bit pissed. Let's just throw some
heavy things around and we'll stand around looking cool and accult.

Speaker 2 (01:05:34):
That kind of is always I was right. I was right.

Speaker 1 (01:05:39):
So actually it depends on how pissed you are, on
how it lands, because you know, sometimes you're slaughter enough
that it's only forty five degrees. You're like, that's fucking straight.

Speaker 2 (01:05:47):
Yeah. One under the goal is to toss a long
heavy log the caba so it flips end over end
and there's directly away, directly away from the thrower in
the twelve position.

Speaker 1 (01:06:00):
It okay. So it's not if it lands straight up,
it's when it hits the ground positions.

Speaker 2 (01:06:08):
By the sound of this, even if you spun to
like three o'clock, it's got to be straight from you.
So you could be nutted and still get it straight.
You'll be fine.

Speaker 1 (01:06:20):
I think. I think it's going to be. It's got
twelve o'clock from what like this is where you are,
it's got to be from now. Yeah, yeah, the fall
that age, okay, because a lot of the time you're
right though. It will land and then fall. It's not
like they flip it enough that it goes away over
twice like it does land on the end.

Speaker 2 (01:06:37):
And then fall down.

Speaker 1 (01:06:38):
But anyway, there's even an instructional video. Maybe we should
go cut a tree downsta No, I'm not here to
cut trees down. That's not what I'm promoting.

Speaker 2 (01:06:48):
We'll go find the that's causing a hazard, and we
will exactly reincarnate this bugger as a kidder. The twelve
o'clock position straight dead ahead land away from the thrower
is considered the ideal twelve o'clock position and scores the highest.

Speaker 1 (01:07:05):
How heavy is the cable?

Speaker 2 (01:07:07):
I don't think it says. It just goes on to say, ah, yeah, no,
it just gives a load of rules. Much whiskey must
be drunk distance an angle distance is not a factor,
Thank god. Accuracy and a clean endover and toss ah

(01:07:30):
the matter. I'm very immature.

Speaker 1 (01:07:32):
That is absolutely going to become my tinder bio just
exactly what you just read now.

Speaker 2 (01:07:38):
Distance it.

Speaker 1 (01:07:40):
End over and toss and technique.

Speaker 2 (01:07:43):
Dear, oh, I can't read this with a straight face.
I'm twelve again.

Speaker 1 (01:07:51):
I've just found the weight as well. A cable weighs
between forty five and eighty two calograms. The standard weight
is around sixty eight keyps London.

Speaker 2 (01:08:00):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It does say here something about
the heavier end. Well, some of us have heavier internets.

Speaker 1 (01:08:15):
We're still talking here.

Speaker 2 (01:08:19):
Oh, dear, I apologize people, this has all gone very Scottish.

Speaker 1 (01:08:27):
So anyway, let's bring it back, Danny Olgardo, fantastic race
is going to be fascinating next season. This is where
we were going with the next season. Yes, because it
doesn't matter the reasons. Let's can bring back to what
I was going to say originally. Next year, we're gonna
have Mammal Gonzalez, We're gonna have Aaron Knnet, We're gonna
have Bolcado, We're gonna have Alonso, We're gonna have Barry Baltus,
who's obviously performed really well this year. They even just

(01:08:52):
the kind of six riders that I've just named that
it could be a fantastic season for all of them.
There could be a really good championship battle between this
lot next year.

Speaker 2 (01:08:59):
Yeah, each category next year, mate, it's looking stacked. The
talent pool is incredible. You look at Moto three and
the guys that are going to come in and the
talent that's already going to be there. The same with
Moto two and MOGP. It's going to be a phenomenal
year in all category.

Speaker 1 (01:09:15):
It's just a shame for all the Motor GP riders
that Mark Marquez exists.

Speaker 2 (01:09:19):
Yeah, that's kind of the problem. But it also it's
as a factor that you know, we're going to get
to see the someone's going to step up and we're
going to get the next Markets, We're going to get
the next Rossi and that.

Speaker 1 (01:09:36):
But mate, Pedro Acosta is supposed to be that guy.

Speaker 2 (01:09:38):
Yeah, but he's evidently not. So now we sit on
other laurels and we wait for the next one. Someone
will come through. Marcus is aging, and trust me, it's
a hard pill to swallow. It'll happened.

Speaker 1 (01:09:55):
Every dog has day, Marquess. It's wild, though, isn't it.
We're like marquees. He's getting on a bit, only thirty
two years old. Wolf.

Speaker 2 (01:10:03):
We think he's been there, what twelve years now? This
is the think the thirteenth season, like we said off show,
the winningest winner over the greatest time beats Rossie.

Speaker 1 (01:10:18):
Yeah, yeah, the longest world championship winning career. Yeah, Mark
Marquez right now, But we will get onto that in
a moment, Steve. Let's take one more quick, braver. When
we come back, we will talk Top five is in
Moto GP, and we will obviously be talking about Mark Marquez.

Speaker 2 (01:10:38):
Will just ignore him.

Speaker 1 (01:10:41):
Yeah, I don't even know that Isn't he? Is he?

Speaker 2 (01:10:45):
Alex turns up a bit boring you over it. Yeah,
I think I think.

Speaker 1 (01:10:52):
He's related to that Motor GP writer Alex Marquez.

Speaker 2 (01:10:55):
Yeah it might be. I'm not sure. We heard another
about him this weekend.

Speaker 1 (01:11:00):
No, no, that's there. So let's take it break, Steve,
and when we come back, we will try not to
talk about it.

Speaker 2 (01:11:05):
All right, We'll do others.

Speaker 1 (01:11:08):
Good stuff. So guys, bear with us for just one moment,
and we will be right back with you. Thank you

(01:11:30):
for bearing with us. We are back, gladders are empty.
I've still got a third of a beer here, so
I'm happy to crack on with that and Steve still
smashing back the juice in a classic pint glass stolen
from the part. Yes, literally, So Steve, let's bring it
on to Moto GP, and let's face it, in general,

(01:11:53):
I think the racing was pretty weak in Moto GP.
There wasn't many truly exciting moments, but there was a
lot of talking points for obvious reasons.

Speaker 2 (01:12:03):
Yeah, there was a lot to keep you enthrauled. We
say this a lot the minute about the GP. There
really was this weekend. There's a big factor looming over
the whole weekend. So that that was enough. And then
the racing itself did throw in a few wild cards,
if you will, that really kept you entertained because you

(01:12:23):
were just willing them on.

Speaker 1 (01:12:26):
Exactly. So let's hit the top fives in the sprint then, Steve,
and in fifth place we have one Frankie more Dei,
just doing what he does when he's not crashing into
people and quietly going about getting decent results. It was
a pretty lonely race with Frankie. But you know what,
considering how much a lot of the Jacatis seemed to

(01:12:48):
struggle this weekend, this is pretty song. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:12:51):
Yeah, all in all, a good result for Frankie, like
the Jacatis didn't dominate as much as what we thought
this weekend. So all in all, a good result for Frankie. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:13:03):
Quite amazing to say, isn't it that Dukati struggled this
weekend when they got one too in both the sprint
and the Croon Prix with their factory team. But it
did feel like it was a struggle for Dukati this weekend.

Speaker 2 (01:13:12):
Does Normally we're talking about like almost Dukati dominated podium
and then fourth down to the fifth least somebody else
maybe sneaking in there. But this weekend they just didn't
have it all their own way, and that's exactly what we.

Speaker 1 (01:13:26):
Need, yeah, exactly. And speaking of Dakati not having it
all their own waste, the fourth place in this one
was Joanne Mir. Yes you heard that right, Joan Mir
on his Castrol HRC Honda scored a fourth place in
a sprint after starting in second. I think I think

(01:13:48):
this equals his best qualifying everything.

Speaker 2 (01:13:50):
I think it does the most bag second for Honda. Amazing,
absolutely amazing. The guy really showed his form this weekend
and it goes to show the work Honda has been
putting in the second on the grid. Looked good all
weekend through practice.

Speaker 1 (01:14:08):
Just fantastic, Yeah, quite and amazing because of all places
to do it, race is just and I mean the
guy is yeah quite and it's not like he fluked
into this, like he was properly battling with Mark Marquez
in the sprint and it was the highlight of the
on track action this weekend for me watching those two
fight and Mark would lunge, classic Mark Dobby style. Mark

(01:14:32):
would do the lunge. It's a weird switch of manufacturers
as well. Mark is lunging on this time and it's
a Honda that is being smart and cutting back underneath
him and taking the single. It really was, It was
really good. It was a really good scrapchwe the two
of them, and I tell you what, Mark's properly aggressive,

(01:14:54):
albeit completely clean block pass that finally got him through
on this battle with Mer was a masterpiece of an
overtake that.

Speaker 2 (01:15:05):
Had feelds of Argentinea fifteen into it.

Speaker 1 (01:15:10):
Except that it was clean. Played bay head to this, Yeah,
but it was Honestly, it was the move of the
race weekend for me, and a lot of people have
said there was this really strong, overly aggressive move like
it was oh so lucky. No one crashed. They didn't
even touch to each other that there was space. It was.

(01:15:32):
It was really good. It was a really good fight
between them and this was just a solid, solid move
from Mark. It was a very I'm Mark Marquez, and
you will move out of my way because as.

Speaker 2 (01:15:42):
If I can't move you, I will push the limits
of what's allowed to move you. And he did.

Speaker 1 (01:15:50):
Yeah. Absolutely, But yeah, an amazing result for me. A
fourth place in the sprint after starting second on the grid.
Absolutely fantastic. Yeah, fantastic result for me. Third place in
this one then was Pedro a cost star and he's
just going about his business at a track we know
he likes. For a while it looked like he might
be on even better result, but as seems to be

(01:16:11):
away this year, his tires dropped off towards the end
of the sprint, which left him a sitting duck in
the final last.

Speaker 2 (01:16:16):
Yeah, he was easy prey in the last few laps
for Mark to get past as they cooked his tires.
But for the rest of the rest of it just yeah,
a cost at the minute, it was really really good.
He is coming on nicely.

Speaker 1 (01:16:32):
Yeah, absolutely, and in second place. Steve In this one,
Mark Marquez a bit weird. He didn't win the sprint.
I don't know how I feel about that, A little
bit uncomfortable about it. But Mark I actually looked pretty
tight for most weekend, both on and off the bike,
and I genuinely I was watching like the Friday and

(01:16:53):
the Saturday, and I think this is the most nervous
I've seen Mark Marquez look race weekend since Valencia twenty
te like it was he was. He was not mart Marquez,
he was there was something going on there that was
just unusual, and he truly appeared to be in championship
mode in both the sprint Alagram.

Speaker 2 (01:17:12):
Yeah, I think you're exactly right. I think suddenly the
gravity of the situation hit him. And I don't know
whether someone had sat down and had a word with
him and just said, look, it doesn't matter this weekend.
If it's you know, this weekend or next weekend, it'll happen.
It just but I think it got to him this weekend,

(01:17:33):
and like you said, championship mode definitely kicked it in,
and he did look tense a lot of the time.
You saw him sitting down in his chair. He looked
very uptight and probably wrotefully so a lot's happened since
his last championship and for bad reasons.

Speaker 1 (01:17:50):
Yeah, quite quite so. Then Steve winning the sprint. Obviously,
Mark Marquez finished second, So Alex Marquez go and to no, no,
he does not.

Speaker 3 (01:18:02):
Because Peco Bagnaia took his first sprint win of the season,
and this is the first time he's legitimately beaten Mark
Marquees in a race.

Speaker 1 (01:18:14):
There's no Mark crashing that gave him this win, and
this was legitimately Pecko was the fastest guy out there.
He looked like his old self. It was great to watch,
even if we didn't see that much of him in
the sprint as he blasted away from Pol and never
looked back. But I am so chuffed for him, and
I'm hoping we see more of this in the final
five rounds of the year to set him up for

(01:18:36):
a real title battle going into twenty.

Speaker 2 (01:18:39):
I just want to see a Pecko runaway tear now,
a rejuvenation wins.

Speaker 1 (01:18:45):
The next five races, like easily takes second in the championship,
shuts us all up.

Speaker 2 (01:18:50):
Pecko suddenly does the triple at the last five rounds,
would be absolutely incredible.

Speaker 1 (01:18:57):
What a story that would be. It's been a race
of comebacks this weekend, but if that happened, it would
be a true season of comeback.

Speaker 2 (01:19:04):
Yeah. Peco's season so far has well up to this point,
has been torrid, and it's not like a slow, progressive comeback.
It's just a sudden flick of a switch and the
guy's gone. And this was beautiful to watch. I know
we didn't see too much of him, and it's a

(01:19:25):
real shame that the emphasis was on other things this
weekend for Peco. So whatever has happened, I'm so sloked
for Peco winning the sprint and going forward. I just
want to see more of this. If he could humble

(01:19:45):
Marcus even once over the weekends would be fantastic.

Speaker 1 (01:19:51):
Because that's kind of the point here, isn't it is. Yes,
Peco has legitimately beat Mark, but we feel that Mark
was in championship mode. We feel like Mark maybe he
wasn't pushing on in the next five races. If we've
got a Peco that has got this form and we've
got Mark Marquez, he's no longer shackled by the championship.
Really good race.

Speaker 2 (01:20:11):
Yeah, Yeah, if Peco. The emphasis here is on Peco.
He needs to hold this form. Now, you know, we
turn the clock back to I don't know, first third
round of the season and Marquez, you know, isn't thinking
about the championship. He just wants to run away with everything,
and Peco is having a tour re time. Suddenly we've
got a rejuvenated Peco and then Markes like you say,

(01:20:33):
that isn't shackled by the championship constraints and these guys
can just essentially run free. We could be on for
one of the best ends to the season just because
the championship is out of the factor. It could be
fantastic and we haven't got long to wait. We'll find
out in only a few days. Indonesia. I just really

(01:20:57):
hope we have one hell of a weekend end of
this season.

Speaker 1 (01:21:03):
Philip Island is going to be.

Speaker 2 (01:21:04):
It really has to go to Philip Islands, and it's
just some kind of procession. I'm going to cry, absolutely cry.

Speaker 1 (01:21:16):
I'm going to give up on my GPL together.

Speaker 2 (01:21:17):
Yeah, I'm going to start watching the cricket. I can
do that. Jesus Christ.

Speaker 1 (01:21:24):
A couple of times, Steve recently in the last year
or so I've been like, maybe I should get into
Everyone just says Test match, Cricket's really nice to listen
to on the radio. I could get behind just listening
to the radio, so I keep thinking about it.

Speaker 2 (01:21:35):
No way, never, No. I spent a day watching cricket
because a friend once said, yeah, come down and watch.
We have like we'll play some cricket and then we
have a band playing in the evening. It's like a
party day. Oh fuck me. It was the only alcohol,
only the alcohol that got me through this day.

Speaker 1 (01:21:52):
And I think that's true for most people who watch
cricket live to be.

Speaker 2 (01:21:55):
A damn it, it was boring. Never no, no, never never.

Speaker 1 (01:22:00):
Yeah no, It's on my list of sports to start
not getting into, but start maybe watching or paying some
attention to because I think it might be interesting. But
I've got enough sport at the minute, so i'd need
to sack something off, and I don't really want to
sack any of it often.

Speaker 2 (01:22:13):
No, no, no, I would not be taking up cricket anytime soon.

Speaker 1 (01:22:19):
Right. Then, let's bring it back to the Moto GP race.
Stam Fifth place in this full Grand Prix was one
Frankie Morbidelli. Another solid fifth place for Frankie, scoring some
points just doing what he does when he's not crashing there.

Speaker 2 (01:22:36):
Exactly, solid weekend for Frankie. All round great two fifth places, awesome.

Speaker 1 (01:22:43):
Yeah. Fourth place then was Marco Berzeki, after making it
through turn one without incident in the Grand Prix, helped
by the fact his teammate was a DMS. Marco spent
the first few laps making moves and slowly marching through
the pack before settling in fourth and whole it for
the majority of the race, and it was another great performance.

(01:23:04):
He did lose a bunch of points in his battle
for third in the standings. He's now sitting thirty two
points back from third after Pecko's crack on weekend, So
if Pecko's form continues, that's now a pipe treating form
Azeki for Buzeki. But let's see what happens.

Speaker 2 (01:23:21):
So then yeah, all in all, after I mean the
guy's battered and bruised. It was a heavy hit on
Saturday sprint, so all things considered, a good result, a
very good result.

Speaker 1 (01:23:33):
Quite third place then in this one, Steve, no, you
are not reading that wrong. Johann Mer has only gone
unbloody done it his first podium for Honda and the
first time he's earned in the box since now I
assumed it was since twenty twenty two. I haven't gone

(01:23:56):
back and checked this yet. I'm going with do it now,
but I have heard then. Actually it was twenty twenty
one his last post, I think it was, which baffles me.
He was still in the Suzuki in twenty two Did
he not score a podium?

Speaker 2 (01:24:09):
Line?

Speaker 1 (01:24:09):
Now?

Speaker 2 (01:24:09):
I think the year after his championship was horrid, wasn't it?

Speaker 1 (01:24:12):
And no, the year after his championship was very very good.
Oh year after that was horrid.

Speaker 2 (01:24:18):
And no, he didn't get up.

Speaker 1 (01:24:19):
He's called eighty seven points in twenty twenty two years.
So he's not had a podium. Yeah, yeah, exactly that.
And he's not had a medium since twenty twenty one. Notes,
And is that factory Honda's first podium since mar Marquez left?

Speaker 2 (01:24:35):
Yeah, it's This weekend was a big weekend of first
for many many people, and like we just said, it's
a real shame it was overshadowed by something else because
there's a lot to be celebrated this weekend for me
and the work Honda have done. This is just rewards.

(01:24:56):
It's a shame. Was it in the sprint Luca Marini?
Or was that the race had retire from mechanical one.

Speaker 1 (01:25:04):
I think that was.

Speaker 2 (01:25:04):
I think it was. I can't remember where he finished
in the GP, if.

Speaker 1 (01:25:08):
It was for all in all, No, he retired from
the Grand Prix. He finished seventh.

Speaker 2 (01:25:13):
All in all, Mir this weekend was fantastic, Honda. The
bike looked fantastic, a little nervous, sometimes kept underbreaking.

Speaker 1 (01:25:21):
But a little nervous, a little nervous. Mir was on
the absolute limit of a desion in every breaking zonees
for the entire race.

Speaker 2 (01:25:31):
About I was playing it down a little because I'm
really for it, But no, it did look like he
was going to ship the bed and chuck it. It was
going to chuck him off in most corners. But that
just goes to but it didn't.

Speaker 1 (01:25:40):
That's the amazing thing that goes to show what he.

Speaker 2 (01:25:42):
Could do with it. Now He could push it to
that limit and hold it, which is everyone else needs
to start taking note.

Speaker 1 (01:25:50):
You know, Well, that's something he hasn't all year. He
has been on the wrong side of this edge almost
every race this year, except for this one, where he
managed to keep it on the right.

Speaker 2 (01:26:00):
Whatever, whatever, For whatever reason, he's done it, and I'm
so pleased for me. Fantastic and mate his season it's
just not worth looking at in front of me, so
a site.

Speaker 1 (01:26:12):
I'm gonna we're not gonna worry about sprints in Grand
Prix from the start of the year. Retirement ninth retirement, retirement, retirement, retirement, tenth, seventh,
eleventh retirement retirement retirement, sixth, retirement, twelve retirement third.

Speaker 2 (01:26:26):
It's a bit of a step up, isn't it. Suddenly
there's like a we're here. It's like, fuck it, get
this weekend? Do you reckon? He and Peco got together
down the pub like last weekend, I went right, now,
let's start the entertainment and just decided this weekend suddenly
that they were just going to start toning it on

(01:26:48):
and we fight this up enough, showing what we can do.
It's a bit late market, isn't here you know, doing
this thing. But for some reason, these two it looks
like these two have just got together this weekend and
got let's tail it back on. We've given Mark his
time in the spotlight. Let's go for it. Let's ruin
to day.

Speaker 1 (01:27:08):
It does Yeah, it's weird, isn't it, Because it just
weird things clicked this week, it is, And yeah, just
amazing for me, amazing, what.

Speaker 2 (01:27:17):
I know, I'm so chuff for him and Honder. They've
put a lot of work. You know, we slated both
of them heavily, but they've come through it. And I
just again, I hope this form continues. Yeah, you've watched
next weekend, absolutely the seventeenth.

Speaker 1 (01:27:34):
Well, the fascinating thing is right now, Steve, is because
of this result, Honda's rank dconcession status is at risk,
depending on how you view it. Yeah, so as it
sounds right now meres result this weekend puts Honda on
track to lose their rank DE concession status and move
up to rank C. That would mean less testing, less tires,

(01:27:56):
and no more in season engine upgrades or changes. So
if by the end of the season Honda have less
than thirty five percent of the top manufacturer's points, which
in this case is Dukati, then they keep their rank D,
but if they have more than thirty five percent, they
will move up to rank C. And thanks to this result,

(01:28:17):
they currently sit on thirty five point nine percent of
Ducati's points. If we were measuring until now they would
be ranked C manufacturers.

Speaker 2 (01:28:29):
That's pretty much a certainty. Then ranked C for next year's.

Speaker 1 (01:28:33):
Well, is it a certainty? Because if Dakati go and
win everything and Honda aren't on the box, then they're
going to drop back down to below thirty five percent.

Speaker 2 (01:28:41):
We can only look at this weekend's form. Well, no,
that's that's unjust because the rest of the season has
been a shit time.

Speaker 1 (01:28:47):
So exactly how many times did I say retirement when
I read through his Like, I don't yeah, exactly, I
don't think they will stay at this point. But the
fact that they're close to going up at a rank
and that Yamaha are nowhere near like shows that Honda

(01:29:09):
have really really put the work in this season, Like
they have developed a lot, that bike is looking so
so much better, and do you know what, the fact
that they are closing the gap now shows that these
concessions do work. Yes, it might take a few seasons
to see the results, but like it's starting to work.

Speaker 2 (01:29:30):
Yeah, this is a perfect working example that the concessions
are the right thing. It gives you time and scope
to make the changes to close the gap it is needed.
If we said no more concessions. This is what you've got.
We'd be fucked, Honda would be fun Yeah, I would
be screwed. So it is a clear cut show that
they do work and there needed. But I guess I

(01:29:52):
don't know. It's Honda want results and if MA is
going to keep performing like this and we can only
hope Luca Marini follow suit, then they will lose the concessions.
And if it happens, it happens with improvement, it becomes
a higher category. So if yeah, you can't really get
away from it. I think they'll be ranked sying next year,
and if if they are, it just shows they're going

(01:30:14):
in the right direction.

Speaker 1 (01:30:17):
See. I don't think they'll be rankedy at the beginning
of next year, but at the half point reset I
could see them moving up to ranks.

Speaker 2 (01:30:24):
Yeah that's one hundred percent for that one. I'm just
really hoping the end of the season strong with these
results and they have a good end of the year
and everyone finishes on a high, which would probably see
them in rank see. So yeah, I just want to
see everyone have finish happy. So so no, that's for
Honda to mull over, I guess, and us to just

(01:30:48):
go well, let's just enjoy the.

Speaker 1 (01:30:49):
Racing exactly, and I want to see everyone finish happy.
Is also going on, Mike.

Speaker 2 (01:30:56):
There's a lot of Tinder bios for this show. Have
to start writing some of his down everyone finished happy.

Speaker 1 (01:31:04):
That might not be I have a very good mental
memory of things to put in my It's good.

Speaker 2 (01:31:10):
Yeah, that might not be. Unhurting to bo.

Speaker 1 (01:31:23):
Speaking of finishing happy, Steve. Second place in this one
was one Mark Marquez. Yes, he got boxed in behind
a Costa for the first half of the race, which
meant he finally got through. He was too far back
from the lead to go for the win, but to
be fair, he was easily the fastest guy on track
by the end of the race and was closing down
Peco quickly. If he had a few more laps, or

(01:31:47):
if he wasn't on the verge of winning title number nine,
I think he might have gone for the win. But
on the last lap we saw him turn around to
check behind, clearly realizing he was in no danger of
losing second, and just brought it home to take that
ninth time.

Speaker 2 (01:32:03):
Yes, he certainly did. There was bigger things to fry
this weekend than a first place trophy. There was the
big first base trophy and that was clearly on his
mind all weekend, and yeah, a championship ride to have
the announcer to say, right, we don't need to risk this,
let's bring home a second to wrap up the title

(01:32:25):
and make everyone happy exactly.

Speaker 1 (01:32:29):
And like we said, he looked tight all weekend. Things
weren't looking like he was going to seal this with wins,
but he did see it with two podiums. He did
win the championship in Mategi with five rounds to spare.
It's the fourth time he's won the championship and the
earliest in the season he has ever won the championship.

(01:32:52):
Mark Marquez has done it. Steve Mark Marquez has come
back from the brink and he is now once again
a world.

Speaker 2 (01:33:00):
A nine time world champion. The comeback is complete.

Speaker 1 (01:33:06):
The circle it is and I tell you what the
celebration Steve more than a number. I absolutely adored this.
It was such a clever way of getting around the
is it seven? Is it nine? And the fact that

(01:33:26):
everyone's been talking about that in the last week or
two has probably begun to overshadow this championship a little bit.
And I hadn't really considered that, but it has and
the more than a number thing was the perfect way,
I think, to celebrate, to do a bit of an
fu to Dorna, but also to remind us as fans

(01:33:48):
that maybe it doesn't really matter all that much, and
we are watching to see performances like we've seen.

Speaker 2 (01:33:57):
From Mark this year. That sums it uply. You know,
there's always people out there who are there for the rider,
but if you love the sport and the storylines, it
can bring to you stuff like this. The Marque storyline
from the last five years has just been the stuff

(01:34:19):
of Hollywood dreams. If you will, you know there's scriptwriters
out there that will be drooling over this, and this
is the stuff we live for. We've watched him go
through probably the hardest time in his life, to come
back from injury, from surgery after surgery, to go through
the horrid time at Honda when it was on the downturn,

(01:34:41):
to rebuilding and rejuvenating himself. It's a storyline that couldn't
be scripted. It's fantastic, absolutely fantastic. I was I sat
there watching it and was just like watching behind a cushion.
I was please for God's they don't drop it?

Speaker 1 (01:35:00):
Yeah, will, especially when fucking Peco's bike was kicking out
all that smoke and you were like, oh.

Speaker 2 (01:35:05):
I just got worse and worse. I was sitting there
watching it, just like, al right, maybe they've just overfilled
the oil a little bit, which has been done in
the past. We've seen people do it fast. And he
starts seeing these little puffs at the start, it's not
too bad, and they just started to get worse. I
didn't get worse, and it was like, not just a second,
it was a proper blow. I'm like, he's got a

(01:35:26):
ring on. I'm not surely you can't have a ring on.
If he's got a ring on, there's a big problem.
It's gonna go bang.

Speaker 1 (01:35:33):
I cannot believe it didn't go bang like that. I
have never seen a motor GP bike smoke like that,
get worse and worse and not go bang. I'm pretty
sure do Canti have created that liquid metal from the
terminator two T one thousand and they've got their engine
made of that, because that was fucking bonkers. How did
that bike not block?

Speaker 2 (01:35:53):
The boy had an oil seal going somewhere that was
going There was a valve let him buy something. A
thing was going that was burnt oil that was coming
through the compression.

Speaker 1 (01:36:04):
That thing was but that's the important thing. It was.
It wasn't spitting a well.

Speaker 2 (01:36:10):
That was There was not a crack of the engine.
There was not a massive leak somewhere. It's getting combusted,
which is good, but that engine was expiring at pace.
He's just lucky that he didn't go bang and being
ahead of Mark, it could have dropped him. He could
have looked back and gone, oh well, sorry, things shit happens.

(01:36:33):
Deal that were over two thirds race distance. He would
have won the championship anyway, So.

Speaker 1 (01:36:43):
Would he have done? Where did Alex finish? If Mark
hadn't finished that race? Alex finished in sixth, but that
would have been fifth, the championship would not have I'm.

Speaker 2 (01:36:53):
Just thinking if, like, if they finished the race as
they were and he was in second because they only
go back so many laps, don't they Oh yeah, ridge
it and called it off, then yes, it would have
been his.

Speaker 1 (01:37:05):
What a ship win from the gravel.

Speaker 2 (01:37:09):
But it didn't. But Peko's bike looks like it was
about to give up. Yeah, great for Mark, even better
for Peco.

Speaker 1 (01:37:18):
And yeah, and Peco obviously did win this race, and
he looked imperious on this guy like pole position, sprint win,
Grand Prix win, and this is the first time, like
I said that, he's truly beaten mar Marquez, especially weekend.

Speaker 2 (01:37:34):
But then there's already people out there saying that it's
not legitimate because Mark was holding back because he was
thinking about the title. That's really pissed me off.

Speaker 1 (01:37:43):
Well, I think there's a bit of is probably a bit,
but it doesn't really matter.

Speaker 2 (01:37:50):
Looked he had the measure of Mark all weekend. But
the ones that are always saying, I'm just like, fuck off,
stop it. You know the guy rode a give cute
little pecko this y. Yeah, he's going to go home
with his missus, pat Turbo on the head and just
have a fantastic weekend of well he's not.

Speaker 1 (01:38:07):
He's going to be Indonesia, you know, exactly, hasn't got
time to do anything else. He's not playing to Indonesia and.

Speaker 2 (01:38:13):
He's literally gonna fly home, look for the window, go
who do his dog? Then fuck off again? That was
a waste of what is going on?

Speaker 1 (01:38:23):
Is that actually a dog's name for a dog and
it's a sausage dog as well.

Speaker 2 (01:38:29):
There's nothing too about that thing.

Speaker 1 (01:38:32):
That's excellent. Oh, Peco is definitely the guy to have
a sausage dog. He'd have a sausage dog as his
Tinder profile picture as well, him and.

Speaker 2 (01:38:40):
His Literally, Jesus, this is all that I've lost, the.

Speaker 1 (01:38:50):
Fact you Pecko mate, just good.

Speaker 2 (01:38:52):
Yeah, mate, they'll come back for him this weekend, like
we said, for him and Meir and Honda. It's such
a shame it had to happen this weekend. Like we
said before we start recording, it is typical and Sod's
law that you would both have your best result for
mere of many years, for Honda for many years, for Paco,

(01:39:14):
for this year. The weekend that Mark wraps up and
all eyes are ignoring you. You know, you get to
part from mate, and everyone's in for the guy. In second,
you're like, well, I've just had my best result of
the year and it's just your missus and your dog.
They're celebrated with you. Everyone else is like, yeah, great mate,

(01:39:34):
fuck you over here.

Speaker 1 (01:39:36):
Yeah, it's a batter party this way.

Speaker 2 (01:39:38):
You're right if you won't mate, your your replacements over here. No,
that's really cool. It is just fucking so. I feel
really sorry for him and Beer that it had to
happen this weekend, But it's just the layer of the land.
We can't take anything away from Mark, the comeback story.

(01:39:58):
It's just for not and Peko's results this weekend are
equal to those in their own rights for his men
kind of ship season.

Speaker 1 (01:40:09):
Quite right. Yeah, this is just an incredible weekend for
a bunch of people. An incredible weekend for Mere, incredible
weekend for Pecko, incredible weekend for Mark. Like, just great
for all them. I want to touch a bit more
on Mark here though.

Speaker 2 (01:40:24):
Mark.

Speaker 1 (01:40:28):
Honestly, if came up to yeah, exactly, I'll be like,
only if I can see that scar.

Speaker 2 (01:40:36):
Mark, Yeah, yes, let me message.

Speaker 1 (01:40:39):
Yeah. I actually I carry all with me just in
case the scenario.

Speaker 2 (01:40:45):
Oh yeah, I have a bag that goes with me,
like the essentials bag just goes. The weird and wonderful
scenarios that you're allowed on that list to happen happen
pre approved list. She's like, yeah, sure that will never happen. Fantastic,
carry that stuff, fuck.

Speaker 1 (01:41:02):
Exactly, that's it. They're like Mark Marquez and Kate Beckhamsale, Okay, yeah,
fair enough, you can, you.

Speaker 2 (01:41:08):
Can have yes. Oh look you're both a race weekends.

Speaker 1 (01:41:12):
Yeah, I gonna go.

Speaker 2 (01:41:17):
You said it was fine, Yeah, we've got a contract
for so No.

Speaker 1 (01:41:26):
As Mark was rounding this final lap of the race,
mate on the World Feed commentary, Matt Bert. Now, I've
been quite critical of Matt Burt in the past. I
don't think he's the best commentator in the world, but
he does a fine job whatever. But his speech over
the last lap was genuinely incredible as Mark was bringing
it in for that second place finish and the win

(01:41:48):
of the championship, and it honestly gave me goosebumps. Like
I was standing there in the caravan when I was
on my feet at this point, I couldn't see him
watch anymore. Standing up, I genuinely had goose bumps. And
then seeing Mark ball his eyes out while watching that
big screen that showed the story to come back, gen
you put a lump in my throat. I was on
the verge of tears watching this happen, mate, And this

(01:42:11):
is what this fucking sports all about.

Speaker 2 (01:42:12):
It. Yeah, this really is like that bit there, Just
what you've said really sums it up perfectly there. It
brings emotion, the real emotion to a person you can connect.
We watch these guys nearly every weekend and we have
such good coverage and you know with social media as well.
Now you really feel like you can personally connect with them.

(01:42:34):
And it does give you this very goosebumpy feeling like
it could really get your emotions going when you have
a mixture of fantastic writers, storylines, commentators who are just
not reading scripture but really laying down some proper feels
and it is fantastic this weekend. That bit really sums

(01:42:58):
up why we love motor sport.

Speaker 1 (01:43:01):
Yeah, exactly. And I'm tell you what, mate, we Peco
potentially back. The gloves will really be off for the
final five rounds. I think, Slash hope we are going
to see an amazing battle between Marques and Bagnia as
they already begin laying the groundwork for their twenty twenty
six times.

Speaker 2 (01:43:19):
Absolutely, this the next chapter starts now. Next year to
me really starts now. Nothing can happen this year. That's
a big crash, and this is the point where next
year starts. Especially in factory to Catteuse, we know these
guys are going to be the next year and Peco
now has a point to prove big time. Marquez has

(01:43:41):
a point to prove that this isn't just, you know,
a one off fluke, he says, very tongue in cheek
for the fluke, you know, I didn't flout this one
since I came back. Yeah, there's a lot of groundwork
to be set for next year, and I'm just hoping
we get a phenomenal end to this year to keep

(01:44:02):
us all wanting next year with baited breath. You know,
we want these to duke it out for first and
second every weekend from now on and it will just
leave us gasping for air for next year.

Speaker 1 (01:44:19):
Yeah, exactly that, my friend, Exactly that. I do have
a couple of other things written down here, but they're
kind of on a side. So I think it's better
to end on the mark marqueads the battle coming into
the next few races, rather keep going over my notes.
But before we do end the show this week, I

(01:44:42):
know no, I think we should be recapping on Steve.
So for anyone who's new to the show, Steve and
I make predictions for every race weekend. We predict the
top three in the sprints and Ana Grand Prix, and
we get ourselves points for riders we get in the
correct positions or on the podium. So it's three points
for a rider in the correct position, one point if
a rider is on the podium in the incorrect position. Now, Steve,

(01:45:05):
the actual result for the sprint this weekend was a
pecker Bag Nile win and Mark Marquez second and a
Pedro Acosta third. Well, neither one of us got the window.
I predicted a Mark Marquez win and Alex Marquez second,
and a Pedro Acosta third. I scored four points for that.
That's Pedro third. Yeah, that Pedro one really paid dividends

(01:45:28):
we had, And a single point for Mark Marquez on
the podium in the incorrect position. You predicted a Mark
Marquez win and Alex Marquez second and a Marco Overzeki third.
Just a single point for Mark Marquez on the podium
in the incorrect position. There in the Grand Prix, the
actual result was a Peckerbag Nyer win and Mark Marquez second,
and you are mere third. I predicted a Mark win,

(01:45:49):
Pedro second, and I have asked you needly third. I
get a single point for Mark you predicted and Mark
Marquez win and Alex Marquez second at a Pedro Acosta third.
You score a single point for my any incorrect position.
So this weekend, Steve, I scored five points. You scored
to My total is up from one hundred and twenty
two to one hundred and twenty seven. Yours is up

(01:46:10):
from one hundred and twenty eight to one hundred and thirty.
There are three points in point.

Speaker 2 (01:46:14):
Now that you gain there. That Pedro really paid dividends? Mate,
Well done.

Speaker 1 (01:46:19):
Yeah, that Pedro was a solid That's really hasn't it? Just? Man,
It's funny, isn't it. All it takes is Peco Bagnia
to be back on form and mar Marke is not
to win a race and the points are just really low.
All of a sudden we're getting most of the.

Speaker 2 (01:46:35):
Yeah, and then that is another element for this weekend.
Is you know Peco going to carry on this form?
Who knows? Is it one off? It's going to be
a legitimate title podium thought for this weekend? So is
it just a mark Alex Peco? Who knows?

Speaker 1 (01:46:54):
Well, this is the problem, my friend. But we're going
to make our predictions now, so let's go for everybody.
So as the usual, I'll give you my sprint prediction.
You can then give me your Sprint and Grand Prix
and we'll round out with my Grand Prix predictor. In
the sprint race, I'm predicting a Mark Marquez win, a
Pedro across the second, a Frankie Morbidelli third.

Speaker 2 (01:47:15):
I like that one, yeah, Delli, not to be overlooked
by myself to Mark markis win. I'm stuffed on the
next two. I've been thinking about this all day. I've
still got a lot of He's written down a lot
of scenarios, but I am gonna go Pedro across the second,

(01:47:38):
but from an Alex.

Speaker 1 (01:47:39):
Market okay, and your Grand Prix podium is.

Speaker 2 (01:47:44):
Not too far away, so that is a Mark. And
then I'm going to throw some faith in Pecco. The
boy's gonna have a nice battle there over the long jelly.
And then a Pedro Acosta.

Speaker 1 (01:47:58):
Oh, I wrote, Alex, Okay, Pedro. I just thought i'd
try and guess ahead of time. I'm going for a
Mark Marquez win, a Marco Berzeki second, and Alex Marquess
third in the Grand Prix. So we have gone quite different.
So again, it could be the it's swinging one way
or the other this week.

Speaker 2 (01:48:17):
Yes, yeah, it's going to be another interesting one. Can't wait,
can't wait?

Speaker 1 (01:48:25):
Mate? So that then does bring us to the end
of the show, Steve Fancy league, we will touch on
next week rather than do it now. We're again long
