Speaker 1 (00:02):
Steve, my good man. How the devil are you?

Speaker 2 (00:06):
I'm good, buddy, How are you?

Speaker 1 (00:09):
I'm very good, my friend, I am very good. How
was your weekend?

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Yeah, not bad, buddy, not bad at all. A nice
relaxing weekend, how about you.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
As I say every week, at the moment, it's all
just learnt with the hostel. Yeah, exactly. There was Formula
one the weekend for the ones back. So that was
a race that on paper should have been really exciting.
There was rain, there was crashes, there was safety cars
and yellow flags all over the place. You're like this, Oh,
it's going to mix everything up. It's going to be great.

(00:44):
And amongst all that carnage, nothing really happened. You just
finished in the same order it was always going to.
And well there wasn't an engine blow up, which may
have decided the championship. But aside from that, fair enough. Yeah, So, yeah,
it wasn't as fun as the race as it could
have been.

Speaker 2 (01:00):
It's like letdown, but at least it was off.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
And then I describes the Formula Why I was going
to say, yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
That kind of just describes Formula One from my point
of view. But if you like it, although I say
that I didn't know it was on, But after watching
the Formula one movie, I am going to try partake
a bit more because that is very I think.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Yeah, just watch Drive to Survive. I think Drive to
Survive gives you all the best bits of Formula One
without having to sit through all the bollocks.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
Yeah, I think that's probably what I do. I enjoyed that.
I know it's a movie, so a lot of it's
made up, but watching some of the stuff, like behind
the scenes stuff, there's big I won't give too much weight.
There's a big part of the wind tunnel and you
get to see how they develop a wing. Interesting.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
That's pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
That's very okay, that's very cool. But yeah, for anyone
that hasn't seen the movie, watched the movie, it's very
very good.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. I haven't seen it yet.
It's good. It's on my winter watch list, but I'm
quite excited to watch it. And I'm glad that you
enjoyed it as well, although it kind of assumed you
would just because you know, it's climber. It's essentially top
gun with four wheels, so I was always going to
just have that visual spectacle where it doesn't really matter
what the storyline is. It's gonna be a fun film.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Yeah, it is very much that. It is a very
very good film. The casting is excellent, not just rab It.
Everyone in the movie is cast exceptionally well. It is
an easy watch, A bit of a watcher anyway.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
I love rush I love Rush Mate. That is one
of my favorite films ever.

Speaker 2 (02:34):
Yeah, that is so good. Never got me in a
formula one. I think that they're different enough to not
draw you in.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
Yeah, that's fair. You should watch the Center series on
Netflix on watch list. Yeah, some of it's in Portuguese,
but I have to be honest. I watched it in
a really lazy way and just watched it dubbed. So
it was fine. But the dubbing isn't too bad actually
at all confusingly, so Effie from Skins, isn't it okay?

(03:08):
So she's in it, and turns out she must be
fluent in Portuguese because she does all of her own
Portuguese parts, and then weirdly, she dubs herself in English.
So it's weird hearing her doing the dubbing because it's
her own voice, but not syncing up with her mouth.
Because she's actually filmed speaking Portuguese, so that was a

(03:29):
bit confusing.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
Yeah, that'd be a bit of a headfuck, but I'll
give it a look.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
It's very good. It's got that kind of rush vibes,
a lot of really cool racing scenes like no, and
fascinatingly they go to Neston, which is good the mountains
with the mountains, What the fuck the flattest part of
the UK. There's just these mountains in the background and
the Neston Race. It's like snaking upper Mountain.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
For anyone that doesn't know about this. So obviously Tim
and I are talking about this series. There was a
shot in the papers not so long ago of our
local circuit, which is only what half an hour an
hour's drive down the road where we live in Norfolk
is flat. There's not many hill there's not many bump mate.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
That's a solid sixty three meters above sea level.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
It is, but predominantly Norfolk's flat, very very flat. Yeah,
we're not going to get much more than what a
ten meter relevation in places.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
That's probably elevation change.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
No, it's very low. And this picture appeared in the
paper a snets and with some fantastic old cars, racing cars,
and behind it are the Alps. Yeah, look at this,
I've remembresented you a picture. I was like, what the
fuck is this? Where what trippy ship am I watching it?
I was looking at my bed, stinking Jesus Christ. They've
up to start checking myself in. But yeah, it's fantastic

(04:54):
And to know that that's in the series complete bullshit.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
It's just fantastically funny.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Yeah, this really does highlight how stories are translated to
captivate audiences.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
Yes, absolutely absolutely. But then that's a good connection to
Rush because Netton was actually used to film a lot
of Rush. Yeah. Nesston actually is not mentioned in the
film at all, and yet the one film is mentioned
in all the series Center. They don't even fucking ed Neton.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
No. I think it was a lot of the pit
action and some of the races was filmed.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
Ah, yeah, a lot of the un track stuff filmed.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
An Yeah, it is a good circuit, but not to
everyone's taste.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
But no, but it's a small domestic circuit, isn't it.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
Yeah, exactly small British next to farmer Jones's farm. If
you run off at turn one or two, you could
end up at a cool field.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
I mean, if you run off with speed, you could
end up in the field. It's not far.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
It's not far at all. If you get your trajectory right,
you are cut and corn.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
Yeah. Anyway, Steve to talk. This isn't our review of
all Formula one films and TV ever made. Maybe you
should be Maybe we should do it about MotoGP stuff though,
rather than films and TV. But this is our preview
of the Catalania GP coming up this weekend, and it's

(06:17):
gonna be a bit of a quick show, I think, Steve,
because there's not a huge amount of been happening, so
I'm ready to dive in.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
If you are, let's go for it, buddy.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
Good stuff. So I'm Tim. He's Steve, And this is
for the love of Moto GP. If you are new
to the show, welcome and if you are returning, welcome back.

(06:47):
This is for the love of Moto GP, the show
where Steve and I sit down with a couple of
beers and talk about Moto GP like we would in
the pub. Steve is drinking from a bottle of He's
drinking from a bottle of Peroni so large it's threatening
my masculinity.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
It's yeah, one of the big battles. So I have
an apology to make. So all the Ossie is listening,
I've abandoned you.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
Oh dear Steve's moves to Italy. Now, as it turns.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Out, yes, I have gone across the border to Italy,
so bonjour Italians.

Speaker 1 (07:27):
It was that? Was that a joke? Yeah? Yeah, okay,
that's good. It's to find you said it deadpan. I
was like, please tell me, he knows. I think it
might be as simple as one. You'll know though, that's Italian. Yeah,
I think that's Italian. Before we insult everyone, Well, I'm

(07:52):
drinking Scottish Fosters, so I'm on the tenants today. The
Australian connection, Yeah exactly. And you know what, there's a
lot of As in Australia, so a lot of Australians,
a lot of Scots actually in Australia as well. So
really we're we're just still offending the Australians. It's just
Australians who are in denial about what country they come from.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
Like white Australians went there.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
Yeah, he went there. So now that we really have
turned off that entire listener base, let's talk about some
Moto gupu. Shall we let's go for it? Excellent. Like
we say, there's not a huge amount happening here, but
there have been some contract extension announcements.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
Yep. The last couple of days have been pretty full.
Really woke up with some news yesterday. I was like
where him all like this.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
Yeah, And it's funny because you text me after I
woke up and started doing the show notes Monday morning,
and I was like, oh my god, there is nothing
to talk about, and then you text me and I
was like, well, that's good news. And then there's just
been announcement after announcement rolling in.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
Yep, we've had a nice little flurry, which is good. Yes.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
So this started off with the announcement from HRC that
Luke Marini has had his contract extended for one more
year to stay on the HRC factory machine. He will
ride until the end of twenty twenty six, while Zarco
has got another two year deal with the factory to

(09:26):
race at ELSR. And apparently this deal includes equipment parity
with the factory guys, because we know at the moment
he's not actually on equipment parity because he doesn't have
the new chassis that he really would like that both
the factory guys have Yes. I'm skeptical he's actually going
to get equipment parity, because I feel like every time

(09:48):
someone signs a factory deal to ride for a satellite team,
they always say they've got this, and nine times out
of ten it turns out that actually they do not.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
No, though, we will wait with baited breath, much like
Zarko for the big parcels to start arriving. Yeah, your
parcel is eight stops away, said that.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
Fo. Yeah, your parcel is still at the sorting office.
Fuck me, Royal Mail. This was track forty eight. I'm
eighty four hours in. Now, what's happening.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
Yes, yeah, there's been a de low. Please contact the manufacturer.

Speaker 1 (10:21):
Yeah, the postage has not been paid for. You need
to come to the post office. Yeah the postage. Yeah exactly. Yeah.
I know someone who ordered some naughty things off the
deep web and they got the letters through the door
that was like, we have your parcel. You need to
color paper postage. And obviously they were shitting a brick

(10:44):
because they were like, fuck, is this a trap? I've
been sprung? Like fuck, what should I do? So they
messaged the cellar online and the seller was like, oh, yeah,
I didn't put any postage on it. You'll have to
pay for that. The order a kidney, well, i'm not
gonna tell you he ordered, not while it's going live
and on the internet. But no, it wasn't a human

(11:06):
body part and it wasn't a weapon, so we're narrowing
it down to what it was, but we'll leave it there.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
Stuff for naughty times.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
Yes, exactly, screen packaging. Yeah, it's some love honey. Weirdly,
I don't know why he's ordering an out the web anyway, Ponda. Yes,
the Diogo Morrera to LCR announcement has to be happening soon,
doesn't it Like we kind of all know that's happened.

(11:36):
So when when is this going to be announced?

Speaker 2 (11:39):
Yeah? I think this weekend. With the flurry of activity
that's been happening, I'm pretty sure it will happen this weekend. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
I feel like it'd be weird for it not or
maybe think we'll hang on to Japan.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
Maybe maybe maybe have a big announcement. Yeah, one of
the flowerways. I just feel with the flurry of activity it.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
Yeah, you'd think like it would make sense wouldn't it,
But I don't know. Maybe they hold onto Valencia. Castroll
are in a Spanish company, aren't they. So we're expecting
that maybe it'll be announced at Valencia, but that would
be weird, weirdly lately, Yeah, that would be weird. Or
this weekend at Catalonia.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
Yes, this round this weekend, definitely this weekend.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
Yeah, yeah, I'd kind of forgotten that cattle Ina was
officially in Spain, which you know, if we have any
Cattalan listeners here, maybe you're quite happy about the fact
we forgot cattle Ina was in Spain and we kind
of thought you were your own country. Anyway.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
Yeah, they pretty much are.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
Exactly. Wow, we're doing a great job here.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
That a building bridges right now.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
Yeah, exactly what we're building borders around which yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
God.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
Then Steve, today we got the announcement Frankie Morbid Deli
will continue into twenty twenty six with the forty six team.
So that's a job done now. But honestly, I think
unless he finds an uptic and form in the next
kind of year and a half, I can't see him
continuing in twenty twenty seven.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
No, he needs to find some rhythm are good, even
if it's just consistent top six's, top fives, because there
is a big body of competition out there and you
can't be right at the point at the end every race.
But he needs to bring his baseline higher. That I
think has just got to be the mainstay of moderation.

(13:34):
Even if you know, even if it's a top eight
every weekend, top eight, even if it's eighth every weekend,
that could be better.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
Than good enough. Mate on a GP twenty four.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
Known as four. But at least that's got to be
the base level. But then numerous of the times that
he finishes, like say in the top five, top four
has got to be far more. Eighth has got to
be worst case scenario.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
Yeah, what are his finish is looking like this year? Actually,
Frankie more DELI worry he's in sixth, to be fair
to him and actually Steve after me shooting my mouth
off there. All of his Grand Prix finishes bar one
retirement one did not start, oh two did not start,
have been top eights apart from a fifteenth and eleventh.

(14:19):
So like it is a reasonably consistent season, but he
is looking like against Alex Marquez, who is also in
the same bike as he is, and the rookie of
fermin Alderger who's not that far behind him now like
it kind of expected more from him.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
It's difficult to be on to Catty at the minute
because of the levels around you. Yeah, you know, we've
almost got this bracket of what sixty cassis on the grid.
Now you've got to be the best of the best.
You've got one fly away, we could just discalt that.

(14:58):
So at least five of you, you've got to be
in the top half of that that five. Yeah, there's
almost a mini battle going on. The bike is so
good that your game has just got You're in the
top what point one percent of all riders in the world,
but you're still easy. Yeah, but to be honest to Catty,

(15:20):
within that you need to be in the top point
one percentage of those riders because that bike is so good.
It's difficult. And with everyone else now like Yamaha and
Honda starting to catch up, Bears in the mixed, marteam
starting to come in the mix. Everyone's got used to
the Catty being the bike for so long, that's starting

(15:42):
to slip a little bit.

Speaker 1 (15:45):
It does seem to be doesn't it With the other
manufacturers slowly catching up, and you know they're being some
just really high level talents as well in the field
right now, Like it's you still need to be honer
to catty at the moment to win a championship. But
if you're not championship winning material and still on did
your catty, that doesn't guarantee you you're a high position
anymore like it would have done even last year or

(16:06):
the year before.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
Yeah, exactly. Everyone else is starting to catch up. You know,
Pedro is starting to creep into the top rankings all
the time.

Speaker 1 (16:12):
Now.

Speaker 2 (16:14):
You know these guys are beyond talented, but you just
need that little bit extra at the minute, Yeah, just
to rise to that bar. It's just unfortunate that, you know,
Marcus is on such a tear and so good that
he sets the level so high. It's like having a

(16:34):
pole volt, you know, the high junt. Yes, and you've
got one guy who's just nine foot nine can clear
everything and poor old four foot six you I ain't
getting up there, but you're still at the top of
your game. It's still in the one percent of the world. Yeah, quite,
It's it's so difficult that the talent pool out there

(16:55):
at the minute is insane.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
It's a great place to be for this port. There's
no pay riders anymore, like well, there's arguably one, but
he'll be out at the end of next year or
the end of this year. No pay riders, and it's
just people are there on pure talent.

Speaker 2 (17:11):
Yeah, that's a fantastic place to be. Just to be
associated with that level of talent is a hell of
an accolade. And so that these guys, you know, especially
people like Morbidelli you've been around a while now, should
dog the cap tu. It's a level that you've it's

(17:33):
doggy dog. You've got to be the best of the
best to be chosen to stay. So this level of
commitment to show to him Boss Lucio and Rossi, it
says a lot.

Speaker 1 (17:49):
I'm not sure he says much this year. I just
think it says that they're brows with him and they
couldn't find anyone better. Because if Petro Costa was able
to get out of his deal, I'm convinced Frankie would
have been out the door.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
Probably, absolutely, probably, But this is where we find ourselves.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
Yeah, exactly so. Right now, the only remaining seats on
the grid, assuming Marrera does indeed take some catch antry
seat is a single seat of Jack Miller, but if
rumors are to be believed, Miller should also keep his seat.
So the grid is pretty much done for twenty twenty six.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
Now, yeah, this feels like it's almost wrapped up. We
just need a couple of confirmations, Jack staying. You know,
Marrera has taken generous place, and that's it. We are
done for the next year.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
Quite so, no real big moves this year, but there
was never going to be. There was kind of that
it will be the end of next year that we
might see moves. But then again, like I've said plenty
of times Steve, and I think you've said too, I
expect just a load of one year deals to come
out because no one's going to know what the future
looks like from twenty twenty seven one once.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
No, your devotees will probably sign big contracts. I have
no doubt Marquez mark also the big one that Katy people.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
Aren't no chance mate Marquez will sign a three year deal,
but that will be actually a one year deal with
a two year option on his side.

Speaker 2 (19:09):
Oh yeah, no doubt. There'll be a massive get out
clause in there. They'll probably all have them in there
because of the unknown. Yeah, but your.

Speaker 1 (19:15):
Speker Magnia will sign a big deal to stay in Red,
I'm sure. And I could see Brad Linda Stay signing
a big deal to stay with KTM. But yeah, I
think some of the big riders, the Corateraro's, Mark Marquez,
Pedro Acosta, are going to be signing deals that are
very much in their favor.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
Yeah, they would be lucrative get else But I think
the ones that have been there, the ones that look
coaturo bleeds blue, will show enough willing that if it
goes well, they'll stay.

Speaker 1 (19:45):
I'm not convinced that Coutatero, man, I'm not convinced at all.
I think Coateraro, if this V four does not come
off next year, Cortauro jump ship and he will't go elsewhere.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
When is Mazzano? When are we going to see it?

Speaker 1 (20:00):
I know it's not long's it is in the next
round after Catalunya.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
So next weekend?

Speaker 1 (20:07):
Yeah? So yeah, next weekend? Will is it next weekend?
Do we not have a gap between them? No?

Speaker 2 (20:12):
We're on TripleHead?

Speaker 1 (20:14):
Oh are we ok? Triple header? It's Catala.

Speaker 2 (20:19):
Twenty six.

Speaker 1 (20:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (20:23):
Wow, okay, we'll see it's a double the triple fourteen
plus seven twenty one.

Speaker 1 (20:31):
Yeah, oh yeah, and then it's a weekend off, and
then we get to Japan for the fly Aways.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:40):
So yes, Mazzano, we're going to see Augusta Fernandez riding
the V four and then apparently all of the other
Amahar riders are going to try the V four at
the Mazzano Test on the Monday.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
Yeah, this is gonna be interesting. There's going to be
a lot of cameras pointing in the Yamaha garage.

Speaker 1 (20:57):
Yeah. I tell you what, if they get on with
that bike. I can see them now just being like, Okay,
this year's a fucking right off. Anyway, jump on that
V four. Let's collect as much data as we can
in the final like in the Flyaways, and we will
go from there.

Speaker 2 (21:10):
That's exactly what I think you've got to do. I
don't see how you could play it any other way.
You know, you've just centially got what the rest of
the season is testing. It doesn't matter where you fused
at this point. You're not gonna win the championship. Yes,
points being prices, but you're still there next year. Get everyone.

Speaker 1 (21:29):
You look at the Constructors Championship Man Yamahara laughs, they
are on the bottom of the table right now and
they are thirty five points shy of Honda in fourth.
You just pack it in and get everyone on the
V four and just test the fuck out of the
V four for the next few rounds. So do you
know if it blows up every round? Who cares like
it doesn't matter? Now?

Speaker 2 (21:49):
No, that's that's essential. You need to find these problems.
If it's going to blow do it now, Not when
you're you're committed to it next year, that's no good.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
Do it now. Exactly. Remember every time we've seen a
new manufacturer up here in Valencia, when we saw Suzuki
do it, We saw Katie and do it with a
single bike, like just the final round of the year
before they came into the series, and that bike blew
up every time. Every time the blows up.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
Yeah, it's difficult, but they huns that need to do it.
If he comes out this week, this next weekend, it
has even a glimmer of a peg on them, they're
going to take it. Give me, yeah, four bikes, let's go.

Speaker 1 (22:31):
Yeah, exactly, It has.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
To be done.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
Next up then Steve Alasia Spargaro is already back to
training and I'm wild. After fracturing a couple of vertebrae
and cycling accident prior to last weekend's Hungarian GP, he
is now back to rehabbing a training and this isn't
full on balls to the wall training, but the rehab
is in full swing. So I think we're going to

(22:59):
see him a bordermade GP bike sooner rather than later.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
Yeah, this guy is just nuts. He's one that I
would love to sit down chat to have on the
show and just pick his career apart, and pick his
training apart. How was gonna make?

Speaker 1 (23:18):
The guy's a fucking mad man.

Speaker 2 (23:19):
He's a machine, you know, pro level or is it
almost pro semi pro cyclist?

Speaker 1 (23:27):
He's riding on a pro tem Yeah.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
Mix it with the best. He's just nuts. I love
to sit down and just talk to him about the discipline,
the mindset you need to do two elite level sports.

Speaker 1 (23:42):
Yeah, and it's it's a wild thing. Like everyone says
Cal crutch Show is a very good cyclist, but car
crutch Show is nowhere near the cyclist is like he
is an elite level cyclist as well as an elite
level motorcycle racer. There are very few people that cross
over to elite levels sports. And I know, on paper,

(24:04):
a motorcycle at a pushbike, it's fucking two wheel bike
in it they look the same, but the disciplines are
so different that it's just wild.

Speaker 2 (24:14):
Yeah. I mean, I'm very disciplined. I don't spill my beer,
but there's a difference.

Speaker 1 (24:23):
Yeah, No, that's fair, that's fair. So then, last up, Steve,
my final news item for this show before we take
a look at Catalina. And this is a nice cheeky one,
this is, but Steve, did you know if you had

(24:43):
roughly five hundred to seven hundred thousand pounds kicking about
right now, you could be in for a chance of
owning Andrea Devizioso's race winning twenty nine twenty nineteen. Do catti.
That's right. The GP GP nineteen is going up for
auction in November. I saw this and wow, I was

(25:09):
just it. For anyone that has the money, for the
love of God, buy it. Let's send us pictures of
it and we'll give you the address if you wanted
to ship the whole thing to a SA I'll be fine.

Speaker 2 (25:22):
Yeah, I'm quite happy to give you a fiver and
we'll do a time chair.

Speaker 1 (25:27):
I'll pay postage, yeah, I'll pay postage.

Speaker 2 (25:29):
Just carry us that one hour that I get to
have it. Things like this don't come up every day,
and there's pieces of it.

Speaker 1 (25:39):
Always feels like they are do casties when they come up.
It's always do Cassie.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
There's so many of them.

Speaker 1 (25:46):
That's fair. You're pumping eight bikes out a year.

Speaker 2 (25:49):
There's a fair few. Let's every now and again a
piece of history like this comes up and you have
to buy it. There was one auction at Bottoms in
the UK the other day which is one of the
very first Vincent HRDs ever made. So I'm made it
my old bikes and.

Speaker 1 (26:06):
The bike from it meant literally nothing to me.

Speaker 2 (26:09):
All right. So the guys got together back in the
forties and made a motorcycle, which back then was a
picture of a thing. It was gorgeous.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
Oh mate, that's a beautiful old machine.

Speaker 2 (26:23):
Yeah. And when one of the very first ones came up,
I think it was a nineteen forty seven Black Shadow
and it went for just over four hundred thousand.

Speaker 1 (26:33):
I'm looking at the foe hundred thousand.

Speaker 2 (26:35):
Yeah, and it just works of art. It was the
fastest motorcycle up till that the sixties seventies in the UK.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
Was it really?

Speaker 2 (26:44):
Yeah, it was the hell of a thing. Night mates
to work and I've seen one of the flesh and
they're not very big, they're tiny, but they sound incredible.
Every now one.

Speaker 1 (26:54):
Hundred and twenty five males pern hour considered the first
super bike. Yeah, mate, can you imagine riding a machine
like that at one hundred and twenty five miles per hour?
Imagine riding your bike at one hundred and twenty five
miles per hour.

Speaker 2 (27:12):
I've seen the Leedle Touch seventy online and I was
shitting myself and I've mean that quite sincerely because the
stopping distance wasn't like two hundred meters, it was more
like five miles.

Speaker 1 (27:25):
Got the stopping distance of like a cruise liner.

Speaker 2 (27:29):
Yeah, these things don't stop on a sixpence. I look
at the thing. Drum breaks, cable breaks falling back, mate,
just on that thing every now and again. I'm one
for history, you know, we're all we've sproadd about this,
but in the past we're all for innovation. And like
the future of electric but we cannot forget where we've

(27:50):
been and what we've come from, and things like this
need to be preserved. One day, in one hundred years time,
a GP nineteen will be nothing everyone, But like, what
the fuck is that?

Speaker 1 (28:01):
No, mate? And people aren't going to forget what any
of these early right now?

Speaker 2 (28:05):
Gold then that's the thing. We'll all will not be here.
But this is reliant on us passing these things on.
History needs to be preserved, and this is one of
the things that needs to be preserved. You know, someone
needs to get that look after it, ride it, take
it to shows, start it up.

Speaker 1 (28:25):
It makes me wonder actually where because like Casey Stain
had a bike sold, not Tootle. One of Casey Stanes
to Cati's got sold not too long ago, didn't it.
There was also a Kapa ROSSI GP be sold not
too long ago. I wonder where these are like, which
I'm sure it's some soundy billionaire garage, but I just

(28:45):
wonder where they are.

Speaker 2 (28:47):
I have a big, big problems for this big problem.
This is where the purest in me and the petrol
head becomes not a show off, but a bit of
these things need to be explained. I'm all for Sammy
Miller's museum down in the south of the UK.

Speaker 1 (29:07):
I've got no idea what that is.

Speaker 2 (29:10):
You don't know what that is?

Speaker 1 (29:13):
No, mate? What is Sammy Miller's Museum on Google? Okay,
I've been doing a lot of googling through this show
you have.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
I'll just talk by the four surround sound.

Speaker 1 (29:26):
Miller Museum. Yeah, okay. Oh it's a nice looking place,
isn't it.

Speaker 2 (29:32):
Yeah, So this is a chap who started out as
a racer and then just with the collections, started out
of restoration business and a museum and it's just gone
off there and it's still riding to this day.

Speaker 1 (29:44):
Oh wow, mate, it's a beautiful place. This is what
the Norfultion Motorcycle Museum could be if it wasn't so dusty, it.

Speaker 2 (29:50):
Wasn't an asbestos ship.

Speaker 1 (29:53):
Yeah, that's got a certain charm to it, to be fair,
it has.

Speaker 2 (29:57):
And these guys do a good job. But get back
to this. Like I watched good Wood a lot and
you see like the good Revival. You see the old cars,
the big old nineteen thirties, nineteen twenty races that you
can't see all the time. And then my boys will
have absolute no idea unless I show them these things,

(30:18):
and yeah, end Zoe come out the other days. We
could do this with electricity. We could do with that electricity.
The learning girls all at school. It's been shown on
the telly. I was like, yes, but let me show
you about petrol and gasoline.

Speaker 1 (30:31):
But then you show your age and you were like, yes, son,
but dead dinosaurs.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
Dead dinosaurs and petrified trees make really good boom boom machines.

Speaker 1 (30:41):
But remember they're also killing the planet and going to
destroy all of our futures.

Speaker 2 (30:45):
Yeah, so they're terrible. Let's get you. Yeah, if anyone
who buys that, please, for the love of God, donate
it to a local museum. Keep ownership.

Speaker 1 (30:58):
Yeah, look kind of how I feel. I think if
I had stupid money, I probably would be at least
I like to think I'd be buying these things and
then donating them to local museums. Were like, you said,
keep the ownership because it's a fucking investment, but let
people see it. But I don't know. Maybe that is
happening with all of the other bikes.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
I hope, so, I truly hope. So I know the
two bikes that you McGregor and Charlie Bourban that the
original GSS are up in the National Motorcycle Museum up North.
They're in there. So yeah, things like this history needs
to be taught. We can't forget even if it's bad.

(31:36):
We need to learn.

Speaker 1 (31:39):
Wow, this feels like it's turning into a lest we forget.

Speaker 2 (31:41):
Advert Yeah pretty much, let's turn it back.

Speaker 1 (31:45):
Yeah, okay, it away, enjoy it. Yeah. On that note,
let us take a very quick break, and then when
we come back we will start talking about Catalina.

Speaker 2 (31:56):
Give me some warning. I've lost my cursor there is.

Speaker 1 (32:00):
So guys, bear with us for just one moment, and
we will be right back with you. Thank you for

(32:22):
bearing with us. We are back. Bladders are empty, beers
are not full. But we've already had a couple of
beers tonight. We were recording a Patreon show before we
sat down to do this one. So this probably has
good a time of any to Steve's finished bottle of beer.
I've had a few tenants now, so that's me. But yeah,
this is as good a time as any to remind

(32:43):
you guys that if you do want to help us
out over on Patreon, a your support would be much appreciated,
you know, for less than a coffee a month, or
less than you'd tip a waiter at a shitty restaurant,
then you can help us out for this podcast asked
which less face It brings your loads of joy, doesn't.

Speaker 2 (33:03):
It is joful. It brings us joyful.

Speaker 1 (33:07):
And not only do you get the warm, fuzzy feeling
on the inside for knowing you are helping us out
and helping us do this, but you will also get
access to monthly bonus shows, which Steve, we've almost made
it through an entire year of consistently releasing at least
one bonus show per month, so we're doing very very well.

(33:27):
We just recorded Septembers we have. Indeed, we've just recorded
September show, which is a look back at the Mapping
eight controversy from twenty seventeen, and there's those kind of
shows in there. We've only got three more months to go, Steve,
and we will have nailed a monthly show at least
one every single month this year, so we're doing well.

(33:49):
We're holding up our you guys, much much better than
any year, full stop, with the least patrons we've ever had,
so it would be much appreciated if you guys want
to come over help us out over there and get
access to these shows. And they are shows that also
the audience has full control over us. So if you
decide there's a certain type show you like, then just
let us know and we can do more of those,

(34:10):
because that's the point of Patreon.

Speaker 2 (34:12):
Just be kind, exactly, Just be kind, that's all we'll say.
Don't make it, you know what, do make.

Speaker 1 (34:20):
It weird, man, Just don't make it weird.

Speaker 2 (34:22):
No, just don't make it. We have that show, but
you have to ask.

Speaker 1 (34:28):
I'm happy to read erotic motorcycle fiction for anyone who
would like to listen to it that is willing to
pay for it. We'll just leave that out there. As
we did discover in the latest Patroon show, I'm very
happy to come close to the microphone with a nice
voice and just read out really beautiful prose about throbbing

(34:51):
members and motorcycle races.

Speaker 2 (34:54):
You didn't go all to Texan.

Speaker 1 (34:56):
No, we didn't image to put it off that time,
so I'm feeling quite happy about that that. Normally he
involves an American accent, but I didn't feel like it
needed one. I feel like there's a time a kind
of weird American accent works if you're really close to
microphone reading erotic fiction. I don't think I want an
American narrator doing that.

Speaker 2 (35:12):
No, I think we need to go very British, very British.

Speaker 1 (35:17):
Oh I do say good sir from him?

Speaker 2 (35:22):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (35:23):
Mate, I can't do an Italian accent.

Speaker 2 (35:26):
No.

Speaker 1 (35:26):
My only Italian is to raise my hands to the
air in that you know that the two fingers or
not two fingers, but you kind of do your finger
on your.

Speaker 2 (35:36):
I don't know I'm going to try. I've got a
bit of a cold going on. I'm not even going
to try do it. Very Northfolk.

Speaker 1 (35:42):
Yeah, your Norfolk is excellent. Actually say you're north accent.
I'm surprised at that's not your real accent. And sometimes
when you do real Norfolk, I do wonder whether the
rest of the time you hide it and that actually
is your relaxent.

Speaker 2 (35:56):
And this is normally but we get we I haven't
done it for a while. We can tone it down.
We can go right down here and you know, I
can take missus maybel down the burn and we can
do some funny things.

Speaker 1 (36:13):
Unfortunately, missus Mabel is actually the local cow. And that's
not a dorolatory slur. I mean literally the four legged ungulat.
So we don't ask too many questions about missus Mabel.

Speaker 2 (36:23):
No, you need a milking wow.

Speaker 1 (36:27):
Okay. On that note anyway, that was essentially an impromptu,
very long Patreon plug. So yeah, please do if you
have the means and to the and you want to.
Obviously your support would be appreciated over there. Link is
in the show notes for that. Yes, But back to Catalunia, Steve, Yes,

(36:50):
So what we are looking for in Catalunia. I've got
a brief list here, every things to riff on basic
good start, tick completed it. We assume we will get racing.
We hope, We hope people oh terribly.

Speaker 2 (37:07):
But this is a weird.

Speaker 1 (37:08):
Thing with Catalonia, right, I feel very torn about Catalonia.
Last year, I remember saying on the podcast for our
Castalonia preview something like Catalonia is actually not one of
my favorite Spanish circuits. I think that after Valencia, it's
in fact the weakest of the Spanish circuits. You know,
there was a really good race in two thousand and nine,

(37:30):
and every now and again there's been a couple of
good ones, but generally not that great, and then last
year was an absolute banger. So I'm gonna remain pessimistic
in the hope that it's my pessimism that creates good
racing at Catalonia.

Speaker 2 (37:44):
I see, I'm slightly the other way. Catalunia is one
of those tracks because it has given us so many
amazing moments over the years that I don't want to
lose it, because it will go long enough without giving
us these moments that the minute we get bored of it,

(38:06):
it will blow our wee tiny minds and remind us
why it needs to be on the circuit. You know,
we've had nine Lorenzo Rossy battle, which has been recreated
a thousand times in memes, and oh it's fantastic. We
have padro.

Speaker 1 (38:25):
Arguably some of the best final laps of any moment
race ever.

Speaker 2 (38:29):
Yeah, we had Prodota taking out the two dou Catties.

Speaker 1 (38:34):
Was that Petroza took out the two Catties.

Speaker 2 (38:36):
Yeah, it took out Dobbi and Lorenzo.

Speaker 1 (38:39):
Oh yeah he did. And then Marquez, who was already
going to win the title anyway, just off to an
easy win.

Speaker 2 (38:45):
Yeah, there's been so many moments over the years, but
there's long enough in between these moments to lead you
into that false sense of security. You know, you walk
into a ruin everything. I'm gonna absolutely fine that you
get jumped five five.

Speaker 1 (38:57):
Guys, it's definition of fine.

Speaker 2 (39:02):
Yeah, yeah, that makes it absolutely fun. It gives us
enough fantastic moments that we I don't think we could
ever lose it off the calendar because every now and
again it will throw up greatness that we cannot get
anywhere else. Those last five corners can't be recreated anywhere else.

Speaker 1 (39:29):
No, that's probably fair. And last year, like I say,
it did give us nap to the beer. So I
think there are many ranks, is there that aren't that great?
But when they are good, they're really good.

Speaker 2 (39:42):
Yeah, it's a mar Mite track. You either love it
or you hate it. Veggie Might If you're Ussie, I
just had to put there.

Speaker 1 (39:50):
Wait, that one's not a joke, is it? Like you
guys do like Veggimi right? Or is that another Fostert thing? No?

Speaker 2 (39:57):
I think they like it. We'll find it. If you're rosy,
this is no, it's Veggie Might. Any good we see
that we can't get can we get over here. Oh mate,
it's just marmite.

Speaker 1 (40:06):
It's just marm white with a different name, Like it's
just a yeast extract. It just tastes like marmite.

Speaker 2 (40:11):
But don't answer that though. I think it's a.

Speaker 1 (40:15):
Legit thing, right, Veggimi, it's a legit It's not like Foster's.
I think it's a legit thing that Ossie's like. But
maybe I'm wrong. And do you know what the Aussies
there's only like twenty million of their mate and they
get a lot of time. I don't know why we
talk about them so much. It's like a weird obsession
because they Neither one of us have ever been to Australia. Honestly,
no offense to your country. It looks beautiful, but it's

(40:36):
not high up on my list of places to visit
in the next decade or so.

Speaker 2 (40:39):
I don't know. I want to walk across it if
I can survive by across it. I mean, like one city, Yeah, yeah, exactly,
there's enough things other than it will kill your per
square inch. I feel like, yeah, one city is enough. AnyWho,
Let's leave the Aussis alone.

Speaker 1 (40:57):
Let's leave the Aussis alone, and let's bring it back
to Lunya. So this is another traditionally Magnia friendly circuit.
Of the races contested at the Montmelo circuit last year,
remember we had the official round in May and the
Solidarity round in November which released the Valencia round after
all the flooding there. Magnia won both Grand Prixs and

(41:21):
one sprint, and he crashed out of the lead of
the other sprint, so the guy is wrapping around here.
In twenty twenty three, he finished the sprint in second
and had that huge crash in the Grand Prix where
he high sighted on lap one right in front of
the pack, and Binda ended up riding over his legs.
But thankfully Bagnia got away with just some bruising. But

(41:42):
he was again right at the front when this happened.
So over the last couple of years, Peco has been
super super quick here.

Speaker 2 (41:49):
Which you kind of go, oh, brilliant.

Speaker 1 (41:51):
We might see Peco back fighting at the front again.
That's fantastic. Can he find some form again this time?
But I think more personally, can he avoid tumbling back
too far because at his tracks he's not done what
we expected Magello assen, He's not been the guy we
thought he was going to be this year, so I

(42:12):
am interested to see where he ends up at a
track that again should be one of his best.

Speaker 2 (42:19):
This is really hard to cool because, like you say,
he's not been at his best this year. I think
he's got to be the latter. I think he needs
to qualify well and stick that position. It's got to
be a podium this weekend at a track that he loves.
The competition is so stiff this year and he's not
getting on with that bike. No what a little bit.

(42:41):
This needs to be a confidence building race weekend for Peco.
The guys had no luck, the guys had no form.
He really needs a weekend that favors himself. He needs
to come away with this beaming a trophy or two,

(43:03):
a good results. Yeah, yeah, this needs to be a
good weekend for him. But yeah, like you say, all
the tracks so far that we've been to which you
would pencil Peco win for a win or a good weekend,
it's just not happened. So I want it to happen badly,

(43:26):
really do for himself, for his team, for his family
because some of them are there with him. I want
him to have a good weekend.

Speaker 1 (43:34):
Yeah, absolutely, and even just for the racing for the championship,
for the storylines, like we'd kind of want Peo to
be back fire in the front again.

Speaker 2 (43:42):
Yeah, if this could be the track that was to
start a resurgence towards the end of the year for Peco,
it would be fantastic if we suddenly had podium Peco,
let's call him the guy who is if it's not Mark,
he's fighting for second, Yeah, he's fighting for third and

(44:05):
suddenly he can rejuvenate this four. I really hope this
could be the track.

Speaker 1 (44:13):
Yes, exactly, Fingers crossed. Next up then, obviously I'm going
to be keeping a close eye and Mark Marquez always
last year, his first year on a Deacti, Mark finished
second and seventh in the sprints and third and second
in the Grand Prix at Catalonia. And remember this was

(44:36):
on a year old machine and he had the form
to fight with Martine and Peco. I think that's pretty
ominous for this year's race. So keep an eye on
Mark to make it eight Kelean sweeps in a row.
But maybe he'll be think about the championship and just
take it easy.

Speaker 2 (44:56):
Awkward, This one's really award as much as I want
him to preserve a championship leave lead, if there is
a scenario where we find him in second or third
or fourth, God forbid, I kind of want to see
him fight, not check it away. He's got such a

(45:19):
lead at the minute he can afford. To you, I don't.
I want to see the fight. We've been teased so
far this year for a Marqus scrap like we've seen
in the past. We need someone now to step it up.

Speaker 1 (45:35):
There's no one. There's no one that can step it
off a change my marquess right now.

Speaker 2 (45:40):
It's difficult. We need it badly for the championship and
the thrills. We need it. Do I think it will
be eight from eight? Yes? I do? Do I wish
it wasn't.

Speaker 1 (45:52):
Yes, I do, although I don't know a man. The
closer it gets to ten, I'm like, oh, I'd like
to see him go further hard last time this is I.

Speaker 2 (46:02):
Want to see a first quarter to last corner scrap
with the Marquees win. Yes, yeah, exactly, every lap, every
single lap.

Speaker 1 (46:14):
He to be Philip Island twenty fifteen, just changing positions,
swapping and fighting and really ruling for the entire race.

Speaker 2 (46:21):
But it's seagulls.

Speaker 1 (46:23):
Probably too much to ask, Yeah, Bun.

Speaker 2 (46:26):
That's too much to ask. But we're at this point
in time. Marquez is on everyone's railer all the time.

Speaker 1 (46:35):
Yeah quite. And speaking of Mark Marquez is on a
radar Alex Marquez as well. Here. His form has appeared
to drop as of late, and Catalonia hasn't been a
great track for Alex in the last couple of years,
although we did manage a fourth place in the Solidarity
GP last year. So can he use this weekend to
drag himself back into podium contention as it was through

(46:58):
much of this season, or with this current trend to
continue where he's just not quite on song.

Speaker 2 (47:04):
Alex is also having his own enigma this year, isn't
he where no one expected this run of four these
second places? So he's also a difficult one to call.
I think he has been on a bit of a
dip in performance just recently, so I think he's got
to be able for his second places again or just

(47:26):
at least a podium just he needs a nice busy
weekend going about his business, doing his job nicely and
just little.

Speaker 1 (47:40):
Things and still down Yeah, I think as well when
we talk about and when I talk about their Alex
having a bit of a rough few rounds and his
form dropping off, we've sort of got to remember that
for both Austria and Hungary he did have penalties for
the Grand PRIs. Yeah, so he did already kind of
shoot himself in the foot bit and putting self on

(48:00):
the back foot a little. So I don't know's there's
a good chance that he'll come to this track and
just you know, be back to his second places again.
But it also doesn't feel like the guarantee that it
might have done earlier in the year.

Speaker 2 (48:14):
No, No, this is a track that he knows, so
we shouldn't have the the mistakes that we saw in Hungary,
dawdling on the races line. That won't happen. Hopefully it
is a good, good race weekend, No no long lapse,
no infringements, just a good solid weekend. Yes to iron

(48:39):
out the kinks in this little dip.

Speaker 1 (48:42):
Yeah, and that's a lot of the catties discussed there.
So let's bring it on to some other factories. The
Aprillia's up next, and traditionally Catalinia has been a very
good track for a prilla at least in the hands
of Elesha Spibro, who won the sprint in twenty two
and was fourth in the GP. He also took fourth

(49:03):
in the Solidarity Sprint and fifth in the GP. But
even twenty twenty three, Eleish one both races, while Man
finished second in the Grand Prix and third in the Sprint.
So the appillia is good around here and I am
super keen to see how Bez and Martin will get on.
I'm expecting them both to be right up at the
sharp end this weekend.

Speaker 2 (49:22):
Yeah, me too. I hope we see them right up
their top sixes. Both of them in there somewhere. They
need a good weekend. Martin needs a very good weekend.
Bes needs to just keep this runner form going, and
the other guys just finish as high up as you

(49:45):
can because the track houseboys have been doing some great
things as well.

Speaker 1 (49:48):
Yeah, next up, then Honda. After a super weekend at
ballot On, can Honda's progress continue and what was Arco
be able to reinsert himself as the top Honda To
answer my own questions, I don't think the Honda progress
is going to continue quite as it did in Balaton,
and I think I could probably reassert himself as top

(50:10):
honder this weekend. But yeah, never know.

Speaker 2 (50:13):
No, I am half in agree with you. They're not
going to have as good of a weekend as what
they did in Hungry. We know this place, other guys
know this place, so it's not going to be as good.
I want to see a switch in form now. I
want to see the factory guys because we know the

(50:33):
Row better machines, or supposedly better machines with this new chassis.

Speaker 1 (50:37):
Yeah, I don't know when Zarko is supposed to be
getting the new chassis. I wonder if that will be
this weekend.

Speaker 2 (50:41):
It could be bad news for the guys if they have.
If you don't quite at this point though, I'm expecting,
not hoping, I think just expecting that we should see
the factory boys start to step it up to a
level beyond Zako, which is kind of that. That the
stepping progress which you would expect from a factory team.

(51:04):
If they can do yeah, if they can do that
and even finished like three four spots in front of
Zarco one or two, maybe natural what would you would
assume is the natural pecking order will then start to
flow through again. Just show that kind of like progression
from Honda. But the pessimist to be is like, now

(51:26):
is just going to come out and thrash it.

Speaker 1 (51:28):
Yeah, although I'm got don't know, man, I quite like
the idea that Arka does it. It feels like a good
underst story that way.

Speaker 2 (51:36):
He's been the leader of the packet Honda for so
long that it kind of feels like he deserves it.

Speaker 1 (51:42):
It's true, I shouldn't describe as an underdog, like on paper,
he should be the underdog. The reality that does hasn't
been the case for the last two years.

Speaker 2 (51:48):
Yeah, exactly that, and for what he's done this year
with his winning lebon, I think he deserves to finish
his top Honda this year.

Speaker 1 (51:56):
Yeah, I mean I think he's going to man.

Speaker 2 (51:59):
Like something bad would have to happen for them to
catch him up. Now.

Speaker 1 (52:04):
Yeah, he's in ninth place and one hundred and fourteen points.
The next Honda is Luca Mariini in thirteenth on seventy two.
So there's like like a fifty point swing there, Like
there's there's no way that they're closing down and something
bad happens.

Speaker 2 (52:18):
Still, it isn't theory doable that's something horrendous would have
to happen to Zaka.

Speaker 1 (52:23):
Yeah, and I hope it doesn't weird. It's gonna have
to happen in a couple of races.

Speaker 2 (52:27):
Yeah, suddenly new parts find a way to hond and
this rocket ship.

Speaker 1 (52:31):
Yeah, although, to be fair to Honda here and the
other riders, something weird happened when Zarko managed to win
at them on on this Like weird things have happened
to Honda this year, so they could continue to happen,
but maybe in the factory guy's favor.

Speaker 2 (52:44):
Yeah, we'll see.

Speaker 1 (52:47):
That's it. I'm gonna pencil Marini for a weird winning
Mazano right now. That's Yamaha. Then, after a shocking time
over the last couple of rounds, can Yamaha bounce back
at a circuit that used to be so so favorable
to favorable to them, although not so much in the
last few years.

Speaker 2 (53:07):
No, anything this weekend that is better than ballot on
at the race before I will take these guys. Wait,
Quo needs to be in the top ten, yeah, Q two.
Everyone else just do the best you can Jack, Yeah yeah,
Q two straightaway, rins don't fall off crutches.

Speaker 1 (53:33):
Blooded rins Man like, oh, it's just rins I just
I just run out of words here. There's just I
feel the big guy. Yeah, kind of like, yeah, I
feel for the guy. And then you go, we shouldn't
really feel sorry for any of these guys. They've got
one of the best jobs in the world and get
paid shitloads money to do it. But you kind of
have to feel for him a little bit because it's

(53:54):
shit watching what he's doing right now.

Speaker 2 (53:56):
Yeah, this is not the Rims that we know. We
don't do anything, absolutely fucking anything. Just please don't crash,
None of you crash. It probably will, but please don't
hurt yourself anything. Points.

Speaker 1 (54:14):
Just get some points, quite and then KTM. Will KTM's
progress continue. They've been on a good upward trend and
can A Costa get back on the box once more.

Speaker 2 (54:27):
I think they're all going to have a good weekend
this weekend.

Speaker 1 (54:30):
Ya. That's the problem, Steve. Not everyone can have a
good weekend because everyone has a good weekend. Someone's got
to have that weekend.

Speaker 2 (54:37):
By a good weekend, I mean good by their individual standard.
A Costa podium Bender top six, Anaya top ten.

Speaker 1 (54:47):
Who's the other one, it would be Maverick, but I
don't know if he's back. No, I don't know if
it's going to be again.

Speaker 2 (54:55):
I think it's Pole, Okay, it is Paul. Yes. The
last podcast we said that they're running out of riders.
Whoever the standard is finish and.

Speaker 1 (55:07):
If it's Pole finished in the top ten.

Speaker 2 (55:09):
Yeah, they have a good one. Whilst doing your commentary
on the way.

Speaker 1 (55:12):
Around, Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2 (55:17):
Turned two with the microphone stuffed in his face.

Speaker 1 (55:21):
You know, like Carol TNT is on board laps for
a while, you just got he gets listen to Hodge
as he just last around.

Speaker 2 (55:30):
Yeah. I like those ones because you can tell when
he's constraints he shuts up.

Speaker 1 (55:34):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2 (55:36):
When he's given us some biscuits in the turn too
and suddenly goes quiet. He's like, I'm sorry, we are
we're back, We're good. You know what's going Earli, You're
like the two times you have and there's not as
nimble as what he used to be.

Speaker 1 (55:50):
No, exactly. Well, that then, Steve is kind of all
the things I'm going to be looking for. There'll be
others as well, but they're all kind of the key
ones that I'm paying attention to this weekend. So unless
you have anything to add, shall we move on to
our predictions?

Speaker 2 (56:07):
Yep, let's do about it. Let's go for predictions. I
don't think there's anything else from.

Speaker 1 (56:11):
Me, okay. Well, throughout all of this, I have changed
my Grand Prix predictions pretty dramatically constantly as we've been chatting.
I've been swapping them back and forth. But I'm happy
to give you my sprint predictions. First. You can give
me your Sprint and Grand Prix, and then I'll finish
off with my Grand Prix predictions. Go for a bt okay.
So my Sprint prediction is a Mark Marquez win obviously,

(56:35):
a Marco Berzeki second, and a Franky morbid Deli third.

Speaker 2 (56:40):
Nice. I like that one mine.

Speaker 1 (56:42):
It's not too dissimilar, is I'm just going to write
Mark in there first.

Speaker 2 (56:47):
Yeah, just put that in for both Sprint and.

Speaker 1 (56:50):
That's easy.

Speaker 2 (56:51):
That's easy. So Mark Marquez for the win, from Marcoberzeki
for the second, Pedro Acosta for the third.

Speaker 1 (57:02):
Nice okay, and your Grand.

Speaker 2 (57:05):
Prix Mark Markers for the win.

Speaker 1 (57:08):
Yeah, that's already written down.

Speaker 2 (57:14):
From a Fabio digg Antonio.

Speaker 1 (57:16):
Oh did you nice? Okay?

Speaker 2 (57:19):
From a.

Speaker 1 (57:20):
From bears, okay, and for my grand Prix, I'm going
to Mark Marquez win, Alex.

Speaker 2 (57:30):
Marquez second, risky, risky, I like it.

Speaker 1 (57:32):
I like it, and Joe Martine third, Oh.

Speaker 2 (57:35):
Nice, faith in the old Dog, Old Dog.

Speaker 1 (57:38):
Yeah, I'm I'm swinging here, mate. I'm five points behind
you right now. I'm going to take a big swing
and hope I can close some of those points back
in or you're just going to pull away from me
massively again, and all the work I've done over the
last few weeks is going to be wasted, so like
running wide in one corner and all of the hard
work is gone.

Speaker 2 (57:55):
It's yeah, I like it when we have predictions like
this because it's it's a such an unknown season. None
of us expected Barks, Alex marqueers to happen. You know,
they've become the copy and paste of first and second.
There's a little bit of dips happening, especially with Alex,
which they quite Third place has always been a complete unknown,

(58:18):
that's just a pure guess. Second place for the start
of the season was given. Now Alex has had a
little bit of a dip and a few penalties, and
it's a bit harder, which only leaves you wide you
can guarantee on. Yeah, so there's a multitude of options,
but it's hard. You're catching up them that leaders Slender the.

Speaker 1 (58:38):
Leader slender mate. But it's still a long way to go.
So we'll have to see what happens.

Speaker 2 (58:42):
We shall.

Speaker 1 (58:44):
That then, Steve does bring us to the end of
the show. So folks, if you want to do your
own predictions, join the Fantasy League. The link is in
the show notes. Have we we didn't go through the
top ten of the Fantasy League last week? Did we?

Speaker 2 (58:58):
We didn't know? Should we have a look?

Speaker 1 (59:00):
Should we have a look? Now? Quickly?

Speaker 2 (59:02):
Let's have a quick look.

Speaker 1 (59:04):
Okay, so the top ten in the Fantasy League currently
looks like this in where are you actually.

Speaker 2 (59:11):
Steve im way down. Let's not worry about where I
am down in the thirtieth.

Speaker 1 (59:16):
You are there in thirtieth place. Okay, So the top
ten then looks like this. In tenth place from the
US of A is MoU Moto.

Speaker 2 (59:26):
That's a new one.

Speaker 1 (59:28):
It is a new one. You're right in ninth place
from Great Britain is the one the only twos Titan.

Speaker 2 (59:40):
I very happy with himself.

Speaker 1 (59:43):
Yeah, I know that's two weeks I've been in the
top ten now may I am feeling jumped. Eighth place
from Great Britain is cased Stoner twenty three and from
Australia in seventh is Jason J Team Punkass Racing from
the US of A. Are there in sixth and Race
from Canada are in fifth. In fourth is G five

(01:00:03):
OD from Great Britain, and then we hit the top three.
From Australia with two thousand, four hundred and seventy nine
point five points is Joystick Racer. Now Joystick still has
a boost left. Yeah there that in mind. In second
from Great Britain with two thousand, four hundred and eighty

(01:00:26):
one points, that's a solid one point five points ahead
of Joystick is Crumpers. And then taking a commanding lead
now with two thousand, five hundred and fifty nine point
five points is Kebab Spider from Great Britain. I also
check Steve kebab Spider is in the top ten for

(01:00:49):
the entire UK Fantasy League. Well done, yes, quite well played,
Kebab Spider.

Speaker 2 (01:00:56):
Good showing Yeah, no mean feet at.

Speaker 1 (01:01:00):
All, No, not at all. It's also worth noting, speaking
of boosts, that in eleventh place, there is two boosts.
In twelfth place, there is two boosts. In fourteenth place
there is two boosts. So there are still twenty third
there are still three boosts.

Speaker 2 (01:01:17):
Well, going for a strong finish there.

Speaker 1 (01:01:21):
Yeah, absolutely, so there are still boosts. There is still
a lot to play for anyone kind of in the
top thirty. You could still comfortably I think, get into
the top ten with some well placed boosts.

Speaker 2 (01:01:30):
So I have one remaining, I may us use it
this weekend.

Speaker 1 (01:01:35):
Okay, so that's mart Marquez crashing out of this race.

Speaker 2 (01:01:38):
Yeah, probably.

Speaker 1 (01:01:44):
