Speaker 1 (00:03):
Steve my good man. How the devil are you?

Speaker 2 (00:06):
I'm good, buddy, How are you? I'm very good.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
Having a bit of a juicy beer session there, but
we're all good.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
What's your laptop you've got to drop?

Speaker 1 (00:15):
Yeah, there's not too much damage. I just put that
down for a second, I think. Yeah, yes, I'm very good.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
How was your weekend?

Speaker 2 (00:23):
It was all right, very long this one. Lots going
on here and lots of families, well, families have lots
of stuff hurpling, lots to deal with, but lots of
racing as well, so that counterbalanced things quite nicely.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
That's fair. Obviously we had retip for the p Island,
which we will get to. There was World super Bike.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Ye in a wreath that was fantastic. Lots of controversy
over there.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Yes, but top Rack came away.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
He did eventually come away as the defending leaving champion
BSB was wrapped up as well.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Was it who won that?

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Carl ryed okay first to ending the champions It's twenty seventeen. Wow, Yeah,
that's pretty wild, don't Yeah. I didn't see much of
it because other stuff was going on. Couldn't watch it also,
so got to watch that. Yeah, good weekend racing.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
And it was Formula one, so that was it was
Formula one.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
Yeah, yeah, I watched two corners.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
I got up early and watched the racing Saturday morning,
the qualifying and the sprint, and they weren't hung out
with a friend and then he was like, oh, we
want about to start in the evening. I was brilliant
put that on. So we watched that. That was good.
That was with Greg, who spake about last week. Greg's
mum I had to approve her new boyfriend, lovely lovely guy.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
That girl. Well that went very well, so past the
approval test.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Past the approval test absolutely, so yeah, that was all good.
And then Saturday, same sort of thing, got up early,
watched all the racing, went around for my brothers for dinner,
and then he's like, races on in twenty minutes. If
you fancy staying I was that excellent, I'll stay around here.
Then you were literally just that, yeah exactly, yes, you
could have thrown things at me. We were in his
conservatory as well.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
I really exactly. I could see the conservatory from here.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
So yeah, me and him stayed up and watched Formula one.
So yeah, it was good.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Good.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
The race itself wasn't that exciting, and Formula one but
good championship connotations from it, so it's exciting. That's hot enough.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Yeah, I got very confused because I've seen a new
snippet of someone winning the sprint race, and then a
friend last week jump on Discord and chat to him,
Chat to him. I've got to go to watch qualifying.
I'm sure. Earlier I was still something about a race.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
Yeah, sprint qualifying on a Friday, then the spring race
Saturday morning, and then sprint qualifying Saturday afternoon, and then
the race on Sunday.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Yeah. I was looking at my med boxing and okay,
if I popped one too many, the doc said these
are strong.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
But Formula one is weird. But why are they doing
the qualifying after the ke?

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Yeah? I was like, this is just backwards. I did
legitimately get the paper. I was like, can this cause
proper hallucinations or like, weird shit happened? And I was like,
yes it can.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Oh fuck, side effects racing does things in the wrong order.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Yeah, how strange. Oh fuck did they say one pillar
or four?

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Yeah, that explains why you've just been like a sleep
in the corner for the last six hours.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Probably explained what I was out of it most week
a time. You're supposed to have half of them full shit.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
But that's enough formula one Anyway, Steve and the World
super Bike Expiracy Bikes. Because it was Philip Island this weekend,
So shall we dive into it.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Let's go for a buddy good stuff.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
So I'm Tim, he's Steve. And this is for the
love of Moto GP. If you are new to the show,
welcome If you are returning, welcome back. This is for

(04:06):
the love of Moto GP, the show where Steve and
I sit down with a couple of beers and talk
about Moto GP like we would in the pub. Steve's
actually on the bourbon again today and with a nice
glass of black currant and apple squash to chase it.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
With, yes, very diluted bourbon. In medicinal Medicinal Medicinal does
just have a little thing about don't drink.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
We don't worry about all things that it's heavily warned,
and the doctor would tell you quite specifically, definitely do
not drink.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
If those words may have been uttered.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
Okay, brilliant. Well, it turns out I've been a bad
influence for weeks and not realized it. So that's brilliant.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
It's my own choice.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Yeah, that's fair.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
I'm a grown boy.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
And I'm on the brew Dog punk IPA. Today had
a hazy Jane as we recorded the Patreon podcast before
we started this one, which is now the perfect time
to plug the patreons. Thank you. We I've just we
sat down and recorded this month's Patreon exclusive episode all
about Laguna Seca two thousand and eight Valentino Rossi versus

(05:10):
Casey Stoner. So if so good you want access to
that and access to all of the other Patreon shows
we have produced, then you can sign up in the
link in the show notes join at any paid level
to get access to that, and it would be muchly appreciated,
much appreciated. Would be much appreciated, much muchly appreciated, muchly

(05:30):
appreciated for the price of less than a coffee in
much less than.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
A coffee and less than a pumpkin spice latto.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
Yes exactly, you could probably get yourself, your significant other,
and a child a baby. Don't get a child a
Patreon things at swearing in there, your significant other and
a parent or parent in law access to Patreon for
a month less than a Puplkin spice latte.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
Yeah, with lots of swearing exactly.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
So, yeah, we'd appreciate it if you'd consider chucking us
a couple of or hard earned pounds, dollars, whatever currency
you're using wherever you're listening, it would be much appreciated.
But at the same time, you don't have to because
these shows are free.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
And that is the point of podcasting exactly exactly.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
It's like socialism and action, Steve.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
It's like, we love a bit of socialist for the people.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
He's doing a very gangster.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
Then that'd be the urban.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
So let's Steve as for usual, we'll run through a
couple of news items, we'll dive into the top fives,
we'll chat motor GP for a while. We'll recap our
predictions and make new predictions for I don't.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
Know if I want to recaps. Yeah I do, so, Yeah,
you really do. We knew this would be the weekend
blew it wide open.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
Yeah, quite anything can happen, and next weekend it's all
the same. I haven't actually writ any of my predictions
down for next weekend, so I'll have to do that.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
I haven't given it much thought this week. I'm just
going to go blind it this one.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
Okay. I think we're both gonna be doing a similar thing,
so we'll see how it goes. But let's start with
a few news items here. First up, I'm going to
do it in the reverse orders to what you've got
on the show notes there. But first up, Mark Marquez's
absence could yet grow. We know he was confirmed and
not to be at Fitip Island and confirmed not to
be at Sapang, but rumors now have it that Mark

(07:26):
may well be out until the final round of the
year at Valencia, and could potentially not be back on
a motor GP bike until next season. The injury does
seem to be heating well post surgery, but it might
be too early to come back before the end of
the year.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
Yeah. I think at this point he's wrapped up the title.
The job is done.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
And realistically, even if he hadn't wrapped it, even if
he'd got injured, you know, a week early, he was
still going to wrap up the title.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
Yeah, it's mad at this point, it's all right, it's
gutting that he's not there. We all wanted to see
what he could do, the points tally he could get,
and it was just fantastic watching him rows.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
Yeah, but just look at the mad ship that happens
when he's not there.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
Exactly. This is what we said. We had those weird
years where he wasn't there and all sorts of ship
went down and it's fantastic. Yeah, it's a weird world
where we want him there to see what he can do,
and we wanted the comeback story. We're now going to
get the comeback of the comeback, the comeback.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
Oh mate, this is going to be Comeback Vse six.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
I don't know where we are. I'm completely lost, but
Netflix producers are just gribbling because it's fantastic.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
Yeah, that's fair.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
When they finally produced this movie of markets or the
documentary of his when he retires comes out, it's gonna
be nuts. But when he's not there, we get some magic,
so absolute magic, and there's stuff happening on this grid
at the minute which we couldn't No one could have
scripted predicted.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
Mate, if you'd told me the winner from this race
from the Grand Prix and Philip Island exactly, I think
I want some of that, but you need to get
your head screwed on.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
Yeah, the bookie odds that anyone that had an outside punt. Yeah,
it's probably on holiday in Barbados at this point. Your
tenor got you a lot of money. But yeah, it's
a weird thing that we want to see him here. Yeah,
because it's so good to watch what we could do.
At the same time, we don't want him here for
the absolute mystery of what can happen. Yeah, absolutely, and

(09:22):
it's fantastic either way we get treated, yes, quite, and
we shouldn't really complain.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
No. Quite. The only bomber is you know, Mark was
on a big run that it looked like he might
be surpassing all of the records by the end of
next year. But that's there's some dents being put in
that right now.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
Some big dents, and it's another injury to not aggravate
when he does go.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
Quite another injury on that right hand side.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
Yes, yeah, maybe it just only ride with his left
only crash on the left.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
Leave your right arm home Mark anyway strapped up, But yeah,
it's not near the window, Yes, where near it's been heavy.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Yeah, there are rumors starting to circulate we might not
see him back at all Valencia and even then there's
nothing to confir them. So we could see him back
in the next round.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
Well, we won't see him back into Pang, but we
could see him back in Fort to Maw.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
Yeah, I think there might be an offside chance for
Port Maow, but who knows. At this point, it's done,
the championship is over. Yeah, we take the big space
yet go on, holdy, rest up, come back, do a
bit of Valencia and do the test. Yeah that big
for next year, and come back and console your team
mate if.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
He's a man that needs some consoling. Oh Jesus, but
we will get onto that. My only other news item
here is that Phil Maron it looks like he's going
to be coming to Moto GP. Now this is top
Prack Ratskatliol Gruse crew chief right now in World Superbikes yep.
And I think in fact, we might have said as

(10:53):
recently as last week that he wasn't coming over with
top Rack. Top Prack is coming over so lo. Yes,
it now looks like that. Yes, top Rack is still
coming over Solar Solo. But PHILM. Maron will make a
move to kt M in Moto GP, where potentially this
isn't confirmed yet. He'll be partnering Brad Binder for twenty six.

(11:17):
Top prac is going to be working with Alberto Jeriviola,
who is really recently parted ways with the Neobastianinian Tech three,
So top Rack will get Jery Viola. And yeah, it
looks like Phil Maron is coming across to b O
GP without top.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
Rack, that is the rumor.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
It's interesting this now my conspiracy alarm.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
I did always a pathway.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
Yeah, exactly. So I don't know if this is an
interesting move from KTM to potentially tempt top Rack over
into their fold. Should he not get on with the Yamaha.
I mean, it's yet to be seen. It's worth a punt, well,
and you'd imagine top rack Star would suit the KTMM
the Yamaha.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
It looked that way on paper and by all physical
accounts of the KTM. Yeah, you would say so. And
if you've already got your long term crew chief who
you know well already in place, that's a good link.
I think this is a very very smart move by KTM.

Speaker 1 (12:11):
Yeah, and it's one of those things, isn't it. It's
my conspiracy bells ringing. I'm sure this isn't the primary motivation, KATM.
The primary motivation is that Philmaron is clearly a banging
crew chief. Let's get him in if you can. Yeah,
the more talent in, the better exactly. But there must
be something going through Pitt Barra's mind that he's just
going and do you know if it works and top

(12:32):
Rack thinks our bike is good because Phil has told
him it's good, and there's a chance.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
It's a complete win win for them. Phil Marrin is
an excellent crew chief. Bringing him in is a really
good addition to their team. So he's gott to do
wonders over there, I'm sure. But it's also that underlying
factor what potentially he could lead to.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
He could be to the guy that in World two
Bikes managed to take a manufacturer that was occasionally on
the podium, but took him to two well titles. KTM
could be the BMW of Motor GP if if this
works out like it would be wild. I don't think
it's going to happen, but I think people in KTM
are wondering whether they could make it happen.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
If there's an offsite. This is very devade Brivio in
Yamaha bringing Rossi across.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
Absolutely about what's his name, Livia Supo across to Honda.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
Yeah, yeah, very much along those lines. It's a w win.
If he comes in and you know he should temp
top Breck across, bonus, absolute bonus. If he doesn't, you've
gained a fantastic cruiseif exactly so, they can't lose, They
really can't lose.

Speaker 1 (13:39):
Yeah, good signing, KM.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
I think that is a very special move.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
Well, Steve, that's kind of all I had for the news.
I think everything else will just end up chatting about
as we chat the races. So let's dive into the
top five, shall we.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
Let's go for it, buddy, good stuff.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
Well let's start with Moto three then, Steve. This was
a weird but very interesting race in the not what
I expected, not what I expected at all. The front
two riders just cleared off into the distance, always shadowing
each other, but well ahead of everyone else, and by
the time a check of Flagger's wave there were twelve

(14:17):
seconds ahead of the rider in third.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
It's rare we see that in Moto three.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
Quite it was a truly dominant display and unusually MO three.
Like you say, it's kind of when you see these
breakaway because for the Bland there is a track that
doesn't do it doesn't promote good pack racing in Moto
three because there's not really long straights. It's kind of
a lot of flowy corners and staff and that means
that if you're slower through the corners, you've got nowhere

(14:42):
for the slipstream to pull.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
You can't take that second up the.

Speaker 1 (14:45):
Straight or whatever. So people do tend to be dropped here.
But when we see it like that, we often see
it in this way that it's one rider clears off
and everyone else is stuck fighting for them.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
Yeah, it's very rarely, but.

Speaker 1 (14:59):
Yeah, this was a pair that were head and shoulders
above everyone else.

Speaker 2 (15:03):
It was good to watch. It really was good to watch,
and for other reason. Everyone was watching one and two
for many different reasons. They were proven how good they were,
plus the fact there was an underlying patre Yes, absolutely,
I trying to think of why it's so without give

(15:23):
them too much away at this point.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
To be honest, mate, I think with Moto three, I
don't know whether there are clearly people I'm sure listening
that are tuned in en off, but I think for
most fans, we don't actually know everyone's nationalities.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
And that's true.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
Although to be fair, if you watched any racing this
weekend and over again.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
That's constant. Yeah, it was absolutely constantly. We get it, well,
I think by now we've got it, but then they
do that. It commentates. It's a space for the gap,
for something to talk about. Is the point. They're going
to reiterate it all the time, and that's part of
the job. So we bang on about it. All right,
we get it, christ give it up. It's like when
you're losing an argument with your Mum's all.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
Right, yeah exactly. I get the point, not apologize, and
I don't want to.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
Talk about it anymore. Yeah, but you said you clean
the kitchen fuck off man.

Speaker 1 (16:12):
Yeah, I tell you what though, speaking off the whole
town hero here, Joe Kelso doesn't matter watched this race
or knows the result. Joe Kelso looks good with hair,
Yeah he was. I thought he'd just gone board, very
very young. But then I saw him this weekend with
like short, ginger hair but like hair. I was like,

(16:34):
oh wow, man can grow hair, and he looks much
better with hair than with a shaved head. So, Kelso,
keep up the hair.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
Yes, yes, you're off to the m LAB team next year.
You can make Michael very jealous. You grow up back
son exactly.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
Kelso off m LA next year.

Speaker 2 (16:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:50):
Nice.

Speaker 2 (16:51):
Yeah, really good signing for them, Yeah, quite very good.

Speaker 1 (16:54):
House is off to them next year. Oh god a
Spanish guy.

Speaker 2 (16:59):
Yeah, because everyone says like the point of m LAB
racing was to bring up young British talent. Yeah, and
that's kind of the end of that.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
Oh God, for the anglophone instead and chosen Joel Kelso. Okay,
so right now, according to Wikipedia, Kelso is the only
one confirmed. But I think there's someone else.

Speaker 2 (17:17):
I'm sure there's someone else, right, Yeah, I just got.

Speaker 1 (17:21):
A big hit of something disturbing the signal there in
the mic, so I can apologize if that came through
for everyone else there. That was quite loud in my ear.

Speaker 2 (17:33):
I don't think that was me.

Speaker 1 (17:35):
Yeah, I'm sure I can't remember it is. But yes,
I'm sure that's not the only confirmation.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
No, I'm sure there's anyway.

Speaker 1 (17:42):
Yeah, it doesn't really matter that much. So then the
top five Steve in Moto three looked like this. Yes,
fifth place was Maximo Kilez the rookie once again smashing
out top five finishes like they're going out of fashion.
He was well involved in the battle for the best
the spot, but in the end did miss out. Still,

(18:03):
it was not the repressive performance from next year's champion.
He's now within three points of second in the standings
for this year.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
Yeah, this guy's on fire with the minute. We'd say
every single podcast, after every single rose, this guy's form
is just incredible. And I'd say a rookie within three
points or second place in the championship fantastic. Can't fall
to this guy in any anyway.

Speaker 1 (18:26):
No, exactly. Yeah, he's just been wildly impressive. Yes, I'm
glad actually's staying in most three for another year so
you can make a chance at the title.

Speaker 2 (18:35):
Yeah, I am as well. I really watch see him
fight for this time. Yeah, and just come away with it,
because the performances this guy puts in champion esque. The
way he's climbing up the order at the minute and
closing this down is nothing shory of phenomenal.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
Quite and after missing you know, the first two rounds
of the eggs he was too young and missing the
next two rounds of your injury.

Speaker 2 (18:53):
Yeah, so already there's a lot of points he should
be secting in the championship.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
Yeah, it looks like he will be by the end
of the year. I can't see Pekeras giving too much
of a problem to him over the last three rounds.

Speaker 2 (19:05):
No, no, I don't think anyone can at the minute,
but this is racing. Anything can well. Quite Yeah, we'll see.

Speaker 1 (19:11):
Fourth place then was Joel Estherban, after officially being dropped
back down to Junior GP from Moto three for twenty
twenty five. Esteban made just his fifth standing ride for
the year, previously having stood in protect three in the
opening two rounds. Yes, and for Aspar in rounds four
and five, and he was standing in once again for

(19:33):
Aspar this weekend. And this place fourth place finishes matches
his best ever result in Moto three. Just a great
performance and a fantastic way to put himself in the
shop window for a ride next year. I'm very impressed
that he beat Kila's, his teammate.

Speaker 2 (19:47):
Yes, yeah, this was a really good show for him.
Kila's is hard to beat. Dark quite sorry to come
out and do it on a standing ride, Yeah, fantastic.

Speaker 1 (19:56):
Yeah. An astounding show. It was really really good. So
he would have replaced Kelers actually in round four and
five for those injuries. Yes, because I think he rides
for aspar in junior GPH.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
Yeah, yeah, I believe he does.

Speaker 1 (20:10):
But yeah, cracking performance from from Mestvan this weekend.

Speaker 2 (20:14):
Yeah, if you're going to step it up after you've
been dropped back down to the juniors, this is a
way to announce yourself. Yeah, exactly, especially fighting in that
pack and it was.

Speaker 1 (20:22):
Like it was a good battle, like the gaps between
them were small, but.

Speaker 2 (20:27):
They were miniscule. So yeah, this is a way if
you're going to wave a flag to your skills and
try and throw your CV at people, this is definitely
a way to do it. Yeah, absolutely, And a lot
of other riders could take note from that. Yeah, quite,
this is how you've showcased your performance.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
And then winning this best of the rest battle for
third place here was Alvaro Karpei. He showed skill, determination
and some great racing ability to hold off the gaggler
riders that were well within the second of him on
the final app Yeah.

Speaker 2 (20:57):
Yeah, this guy rode a very intelligent right timed it perfectly. Yeah,
and then defended really well, a proper master class of
a tactical race.

Speaker 1 (21:09):
Yeah, yeah, absolutely, And he's having a really good rookie season.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
Yes again, Yeah, another one that's having a fat Where
is in the standary? Fifth? Sixth, six closed? I'm always
won away?

Speaker 1 (21:19):
Yeah would he? Yeah he would have been in six
going into this race anyway. But yeah, really good. And
if it wasn't for Key, Les would be all banging
the half about how great Carpe is.

Speaker 2 (21:30):
Exactly the rookies this year a mote three have done fantastic.

Speaker 1 (21:33):
Yeah they have actually haven't a like actually of the rookies.

Speaker 2 (21:38):
So there's one.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
Two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight rookies this year.
Four of them have stood on the podium and one
any one of them has won a race. But yeah,
four of them have been on the podium at least once,
which is a good show.

Speaker 2 (21:58):
That is a very good show and a really good
representation of the skill coming up through the junior classes.

Speaker 1 (22:02):
Yeah, and we've spoken about this and we feel like
the junior classes are more and more stacked at the moment.
And that's that's what the majip have managed to do
with the talent cps.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
It's fantastic Red Bull Rookies, the.

Speaker 1 (22:15):
Junior GP, like all of that has built into this amazing.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
It's a really good pathway now, yeah pathway, that's the way.

Speaker 1 (22:22):
It's amazy way to get into the sport. And it's
created just an incredible lineup and up into GP.

Speaker 2 (22:28):
Yeah. Yeah, the first ones are now coming through. It's great.
We really stoked, like we said before, trying to get
in the show Ethan. Yeah, who's up to Red Bull
Rookies next year?

Speaker 1 (22:39):
Yeah, that's very cool.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
Yeah, mixing it with the rest and that pathway is
set out. The guy's projectory is great. And if this
is a perfect example of what you can do if
you stick with these classes and if you can mix
it with the best and learn from these guys, the
pathway is clear and set and you're on your way.

Speaker 1 (22:56):
Yeah. Absolutely. Second player in this one, then, Steve, was
the aforementioned hairy Joel Kelso. Joke, Joel Hairy Kelso. That's
what we're calling from now on. I like to see
Harry just on that bum bit on his letters.

Speaker 2 (23:12):
We'll see next round out. If you've got Harry written
across there, we know we have a listener. Obviously, not
so hairy. Yeah, I was just taking a piss.

Speaker 1 (23:20):
Not so hairy with just a man escaped add underneath him. Yeah,
there we go. There's some brand.

Speaker 2 (23:25):
There's brand. There's a kickback.

Speaker 1 (23:26):
We should Yeah. If if Joel Kelso has any man
scapes spanceship over the next few years, i'd like to
find to feed for that.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
Yes, yeah, and we'd like get the sponsorship back. Thank you.
We'll take some free stuff again. And accused of doing
things in the shower, yeah, quite, but.

Speaker 1 (23:43):
You know, these things happen. You know, sometimes you're shaving
your nether region, sometimes using a sex toy. It's one
of those things.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
Steve who knows, who knows vibrates exactly?

Speaker 1 (23:53):
It can be both. Actually, gotta be careful. There's no
flared base on it, so do be careful.

Speaker 2 (23:58):
I might lose that bug. It makes it's not on
the blades out.

Speaker 1 (24:01):
Oh god, imagine I slipped and I fell on it.
Yeah sure mate, yeah did you did you?

Speaker 2 (24:06):
I'd love to be some of the things they must
have seen. How did you get that ketchup there?

Speaker 1 (24:13):
But it's the wild thing because like you'd get a
few funny stories, but you're going to.

Speaker 2 (24:16):
Get a lot of horror stories as well.

Speaker 1 (24:20):
I've been twenty a few times in my life, often
for me, often for other people as well, And yeah,
some people coming there in a bit of a state.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
Yeah. Yeah, I've been a few times for herself and
a few times for other people. And yeah, you look around,
you're like a Wes trying to pick out the worst
one on you, who's had the worst night. Yeah, there's
always that one couple of blood one handcuffed to a cop.
There's always the drunk one. Yeah, there's always the larry one.
You're sat there because you slipped over, your slightly sprain
your ankles, Yeah, exactly, and they're all ignoring you. You're boring.

Speaker 1 (24:51):
Yeah, sadly for me. The one time that I was
that really bad one in there, I have very little
memory of it.

Speaker 2 (24:58):
Was given the morphine? How much much?

Speaker 1 (25:00):
All of it? All of it?

Speaker 2 (25:01):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (25:01):
Quite. All I know about my situation there, of being
that one in is that I was screaming, I was
being moved anywhere, and in the weight room, some in
the waiting room. It must have been that someone turned
to the person sitting next to them, who happened to
be my then girlfriend, and was like, oh, someone doesn't
sound like they're having a good day. No, mate, No,

(25:25):
I think she snapped at them quite quickly as well.

Speaker 2 (25:27):
They fucking did Jesus Christ. Yeah, yeah, I bet they
pumped you full of everything what we got. Give it a.

Speaker 1 (25:33):
Lot, give him a lot, yeah, quite, knock him out.
We'll speak to him a week.

Speaker 2 (25:37):
Yeah, was it in a few months?

Speaker 1 (25:39):
Have a nice trip, yeah, quite, but away from me
and back to Joel Kelso. For a while it did
look like he was going to get his maiden win
at his home race. He was really fast and even
when he got overtaken, he was able to stick close
to the rider ahead, which not many people have been
able to do this year.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
No, no, not at all this weekend. I know, it's
just home racing. There's always that little home race.

Speaker 1 (26:03):
Advances at Philip Island, man like so well, really well,
it's one of the circuits where Ossie's have this massive
home field advantage.

Speaker 2 (26:13):
They have more than ever exactly.

Speaker 1 (26:15):
Like we kind of know, you know, cow Crush. I
did pretty well at Silverston, but never like.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
To live on a level that the Aussies do at
Philip Island.

Speaker 1 (26:23):
Quite you see the Spaniards doing it in Spain but
fucking whatever. Half the grid Spanish Italians doing Italy, same story.

Speaker 2 (26:30):
Half the grid's Italian, Britain and Aussie do it at
home and certainly everyone takes note.

Speaker 1 (26:36):
Yeah, but just Ossie's just seemed to do it in
every class. There were Aussies like right up the front.

Speaker 2 (26:41):
Yeah it's the brew juice, It's it's them, just the
Fosters in that monster. But no they do and Kelso
this weekend was really embraced in that.

Speaker 1 (26:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (26:55):
Absolutely, he took the love of the home fans. Philip.
It's a fantastic race track, a few mixed conditions. No
one really knew what was going to happen. There was
talk at one point having the race on Saturday.

Speaker 1 (27:05):
Yeah, there was talk of moving the race.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
It was all over the place, I mean watching I
come what session it was. Some was shining. It was fantastic,
expent Torrential Road and half an hour, Yeah, dry track
and the sun's out.

Speaker 1 (27:18):
It's a weird place.

Speaker 2 (27:19):
Yeah, it's strange. It's fantastic for Kelso this weekend it
did look like he was on for Will. He tore
off at the start, got Mire, but then he could
stick with Rooreda. I just gave it away.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
That's okay. Everyone knows, man, everyone knows. But and it
was an interesting battle because they were just trading fastest laps,
like taking a tenth out of each other here or there.
But Rueda was just ahead enough that Kelso and Kelso
was relying on a bit of a slipstream.

Speaker 2 (27:43):
Yeah, he was definitely relian.

Speaker 1 (27:46):
A couple of was worth two or three, maybe four tenths.
Sense I think it wasn't enough to keep him right
in touch for the.

Speaker 2 (27:53):
Entire If you're on his back wheel, you had to
be right in it close quarters racing. It's also frustrated
as well, because you look a Kelsey, you think he's
such a talented young rider, and you look at meything,
why can't you do this every weekend?

Speaker 1 (28:06):
Well, the thing is, he kind of does do it
like he's been up. So he's fifth in the championship
right now, and he's taken one, two, three, four podiums
so far this year. But he's always spoken about like
he's led races, been in the top five a lot.

Speaker 2 (28:19):
Yeah, but this is like a proper bout, a proper tussle,
twelve seconds ahead of the other guys.

Speaker 1 (28:24):
And it's a stupid distance ahead of everyone else.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
So when you get a ride like this, I know
it's right. So we've got to take a couple of
seconds off of that. But you look at it, you
think you can do it.

Speaker 1 (28:34):
Yeah, we say doing their home races worth a ten
for a second. Yeah, if your home races worth half seconds, like,
it's so wild. That's just how well they do around here.

Speaker 2 (28:43):
Yeah, it's just that mad. What what do they called brogans?
A kind of weird mentality where all of a sudden,
he's just everyone's nuts and broken bogan bogan. I don't know.
Correct this. Oh, there's let us know, really insulted people here.

Speaker 1 (29:00):
They all just stopped a switched off.

Speaker 2 (29:03):
We look at the demographic where stuff comes from. Is
that No, No, that's not actually true. It is one
of our biggest tools. That's because they're hating on us.

Speaker 1 (29:10):
Yeah, exactly, audience. It's like when you comment on a
social media post and negative comment, don't do it because
all you're doing is you're telling the algorithm that that
person needs to be seen more. And I think it's
the same thing with the Aussies and us. Yeah, hating
on us, but it means that they love the algorithm.
Yeah exactly.

Speaker 2 (29:28):
Yeah, depends what you comment over here, the police might
turn up at your Yeah.

Speaker 1 (29:32):
Well, less said about the bear. And the winner of
this erase is Steve Jose Antonio the wader. Because when
you're already champion, there's nothing left to do but keep winning.

Speaker 2 (29:46):
Yes, you can't just hand the wins out to anyone else.
You've got to keep them more for yourself exactly.

Speaker 1 (29:50):
And there was this sort of steely determination his riding
this weekend. He was pushed much harder than I think
he expected to be by Kelso and really had to
work for it and really earned this one. This was
a really good win from him and a really good
fight between the two of them.

Speaker 2 (30:04):
Yeah, that sums up perfectly. This did feel like one
of those Roosevelt suddenly like gone, was like, oh fuck, actually, yeah,
I can't just tear away with this. I've got to
work for this one. Yeah. Yeah, good one kills Yeah good,
good on fantastic.

Speaker 1 (30:18):
Towards Okay, Steve, before we dive into the MOTORTI top fives,
let's take a quick break.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
Let's go for it, buddy, good stuff.

Speaker 1 (30:29):
So guys bear with us for just one moment and
we will be right back with you. Dribble on my hand.

Speaker 2 (30:52):
No, not the first time.

Speaker 1 (30:53):
Not the first time, won't be the last. Um where
were we? Uh? Well, thank you for being with us.
We are back. Blas must have been a good one,
quite Blazat beers are full and we are ready to
crack on with the moto to top five.

Speaker 2 (31:10):
We certainly are so my cycle.

Speaker 1 (31:14):
Already, said Steve. There was a hometown advantage going on
in this moto race, and it was once again quite
a big advantage.

Speaker 2 (31:20):
It was utilized perfectly in Moto too.

Speaker 1 (31:24):
Yeah, absolutely, but quite a lot happened. It was quite
an exciting race.

Speaker 2 (31:28):
There was a lot going on everywhere in this race.

Speaker 1 (31:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (31:32):
It was a very confusing one I found, because there
was like the camera was like here, there, everywhere. That
was going down everywhere, and you couldn't keep up at
what It was like a soap opera.

Speaker 1 (31:40):
And it's that moment where it switches between teammates and
you're like, wow, the fuck, Oh, they haven't they haven't
the other one.

Speaker 2 (31:46):
Look at the helmet, Look at the lid, because that's
the only place you can tell the parks. Sometimes you
can't see the number.

Speaker 1 (31:51):
Exactly and then, to be fair, sometimes in Moto two three,
I can't even remember the fucking numbers.

Speaker 2 (31:55):
No exactly. I'm like that as well. The classes that
you don't throw so much attention to is often easy
to forget, and you're like, all right, yeah, time into
our ship. The channel's gone, We're on the next one.

Speaker 1 (32:05):
Yeah exactly.

Speaker 2 (32:06):
I can't keep up. I'm just going to sit back
and enjoy it.

Speaker 1 (32:09):
Yeah exactly. I'll wait for the commentators tell me what
I need to know.

Speaker 2 (32:11):
Yeah exactly. They pay you to do that. I'm not exactly.

Speaker 1 (32:16):
But the top five then did look like this. The
fifth place was Jake Dixon. He started a fourth and
then dropped back and spent a lot of the race
fighting around sixth and seventh before fighting with Holgardo in
the final lapse for those fourth and fifth positions. Yes,
this is a good result for Dixon, who sits comfortably
fifth in the championship and could overhaul bout Us for

(32:37):
fourth if he keeps up a good run of form
in the final three rounds of the year.

Speaker 2 (32:40):
Yeah. I hope he does. I hope he departs on
good form. I'd like to see him going. Not a tip,
but keep up this kind of level. Yeah, you know,
for someone who started so strong and looked for over
it for a while.

Speaker 1 (32:50):
Yeah, and like led the championship for a short period.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
Yeah, he did. You know, I'd like to see him
to part on a high. Yeah, that would be nice
before the Toriy times.

Speaker 1 (32:57):
I feel like Dixon has done quite a lot for
us in motive too in the last few years of
kind of maintaining that British.

Speaker 2 (33:05):
Yes, he certainly has.

Speaker 1 (33:06):
So that's been quite anice.

Speaker 2 (33:07):
He's flowing the banner very nicely.

Speaker 1 (33:09):
Yeah, I mean he still is in technically championship contention.
A lot would have to go very wrong for them.

Speaker 2 (33:17):
The miracles would have to be performed, you know, we
need shame and voodoo worshipers and all sorts of ship
to go down here.

Speaker 1 (33:24):
I suspect he'll be out of championship attention after Malaysia,
but right now, mathematically he's still in it.

Speaker 2 (33:29):
Yes, yeah, come on, Jack, We'll do the very British thing.
We'll write you a song.

Speaker 1 (33:36):
We won't we'll just think sweet Carolina, right, Yeah, we'll
just Sweet.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
Caroline, that's what we do. But we'll hype you up
to help. With so much pressure on you that you
crumble and he wanted to be really disappointed because.

Speaker 1 (33:47):
We're that's the way. But you'll be angry at you
and all the papers will slate you for years and.

Speaker 2 (33:53):
Then yeah, and then we'll love you. You'll turn it around,
you'll do something incredible and you'll be a hero.

Speaker 1 (33:57):
And we'll tell you how much we'd love you this
whole time.

Speaker 2 (33:59):
Yeah, and it was all a myost. We lived.

Speaker 1 (34:01):
Yeah, we won't even do that. We'll just deny we
ever said anything.

Speaker 2 (34:04):
We never said it, but it's recorded.

Speaker 1 (34:06):
We're talking about. Fourth place in this one was Danny
Olgardo and man, this year's aspar duo. I've said it
so many times already, but I'm already looking forward to
next year's title battle between these two because just these
guys are so good.

Speaker 2 (34:23):
Yeah, this is going to be incredible. I love watching
these two on track together. It's like a perfect combo mate.
And next year, like you say, they should, in theory.

Speaker 1 (34:34):
Be the two they If if both of Alonso and Orgado,
if they are not fighting for the title next year,
then something has gone very wrong. Absolutely on form to
be fighting for the title next year.

Speaker 2 (34:45):
They are crushing at the minute.

Speaker 1 (34:48):
Just winning a rookie Waite, winning a race in your
rookie Moto two season is an incredible thing to do,
and to potentially win multiple races. You know, stand on
the podium ultpile times like you're doing very well.

Speaker 2 (34:58):
Exactly, it's all coming up aspar.

Speaker 1 (35:02):
Yeah, it's all coming up as absolutely third place. Then
in this one, Steve was Diogo Morera and he's fought
hard for this.

Speaker 2 (35:13):
This guy chugged everything at it and it was lovely
to see because this guy was fighting for the title
and it was showing.

Speaker 1 (35:21):
Yeah, definitely, and it ate incredible, like he looked like
he might have the pace to get a higher finish
at some points during the race. Then it looked like
he was going to drop back much much further. And
in the end he stabilized everything to just achieve this podium. Yes,
and with Gonzales finishing down his seventh, the gap is
now just two points to the top of the Motto field.

Speaker 2 (35:42):
Oh, this is incredible. I absolutely love this. The fact
that he has slowly chipped away and has drawn it back.
We've got three rounds to go. This weekend is going
to be crucial. You know, this guy's riding a high
Gonzalez finishing the seventh. He's got a point to prove now,
to hang on to go.

Speaker 1 (36:01):
This season is dipping off now.

Speaker 2 (36:03):
It is starting to tailor away.

Speaker 1 (36:05):
Since Italy. That would be Migello. Gonzalez hasn't beaten Marrera
for a while. There's been obviously, there was the Austria
retirement where he took the stone through the radiator. Yes,
was he a head behind mare.

Speaker 2 (36:24):
I think he was a head when that happened.

Speaker 1 (36:27):
Okay, and then he got the disqualification in Indonesia, but
he was then anyway, So Marera is the on form
guy right now, yes, out of the two of them,
and I don't know. My momentum seems to be Marera's way.
And with just two points in this championship, it's yeah,
this is hot. This is unless something goes really bad
over the next couple of rounds. This one's going down

(36:48):
to Valencia and it's going to be whoever wins on
track wins the championship.

Speaker 2 (36:52):
And I hope it does because these guys were put
on a show and we deserve it. I think we
do design we deserve it. The other two championships have
been wrapped up relatively early, we needed one that's coming
down to the wire and the motto to guys aren't
afraid to slug it out, and.

Speaker 1 (37:12):
They were when we saw the two of them on
track together, they were slugging it out.

Speaker 2 (37:16):
They were not shy. They were not shy of swapping
some lettering. Let's put it that way. There was some
they were willing to put it on the line, and
that is bloody brilliant. So I really do hope this
one comes down to Valencia because we needed one to
go down to the end we always do. Yeah, thank god,

(37:36):
I'm just praying.

Speaker 1 (37:40):
Second place in this one then was a David Alonso.
The progression continues and he managed to vest his teammate,
who has been the better rider in general this year. Yeah,
the better results, but just another really cracking result for Alonso.

Speaker 2 (37:57):
Yeah, this guy's rookie season. It's fantastic.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
And just take everything I said about and the ASPA
and copy and paste it into literally.

Speaker 2 (38:06):
The same thing about both of them, their determination, the right,
the way they ride, they want. It's fantastic. This ASPA
team for next year. Have It would be hard to
choose between them for which one would come out on top.
I'm sure We're probably be wrong that someone will just
appear out of nowhere. Absolutely mental man, who's just going

(38:32):
to go right this? I am I've lost the title
this year. They say hypothetically that watch this ship.

Speaker 1 (38:38):
That's a really good point. Actually, hadn't I kind of
forget that God is going to be there next year
as well.

Speaker 2 (38:43):
Yeah, so he's going to be a threat. But then
you put the three of them together and all of
a sudden, Senna will still be there, and you, holy ship.
The top five next year could be insane. It really
could be insane.

Speaker 1 (38:57):
Can it will still be there?

Speaker 2 (38:58):
And it will still be there? More tat to dude?

Speaker 1 (39:01):
Has he got on the skin left?

Speaker 2 (39:02):
I'm not sure he must have some. If little cannets tattooed,
that boy's braven thought.

Speaker 1 (39:09):
I don't think there's a little canet hanging around, mate.
I think little cannon might be quite a big cane.

Speaker 2 (39:14):
If mids tattooed.

Speaker 1 (39:17):
During the tattoo will be the only time he's ever gone.
I wish this fellow was smaller. I wish this can
be over done.

Speaker 2 (39:27):
I was midswing, Yeah you were. You get one of
those that actually hurts? Oh me, Oh, just give me
a six.

Speaker 1 (39:39):
You take You've been thinking about a little canet too much.

Speaker 2 (39:45):
Now I'm regretting the conversation. All right, we're good, We're good,
We're good.

Speaker 1 (39:50):
Okay, So the winner of this race then, Steve, as
we mentioned the hometown hero Senna Agis, he's got the
home Vic truly missed out on a Moto three, So
thanks to you. Dominant performance, going too, better than his
amazing podium last year, as knows what he's doing around
Philip Island. This was a great ride, a great performance,

(40:11):
and he never looked bothered by the other riders behind,
and he finished just over three and a half seconds
ahead of Alonzo and second.

Speaker 2 (40:18):
Yeah, he just went for it. Yeah, if he was
gonna If you're gonna win your home race, there's ways
of doing it, and this was the perfect way.

Speaker 1 (40:25):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2 (40:26):
The only other way is if you're in a really
tight corner, proper battle. This was absolutely perfect. So you're happy,
really happy for the Aussie fans, happy for him too. Perfect.

Speaker 1 (40:40):
Yeah, quite perfect. Just a really really good weekend.

Speaker 2 (40:42):
Yes, if you're going to win a race, win your homeworn, yeah, exactly,
absolutely perfect.

Speaker 1 (40:49):
That then Steve does bring us on to Moto GP.
So let's start with the sprint.

Speaker 2 (40:56):
Let's go for it.

Speaker 1 (40:58):
We'll just see where this conversation takes us. We'll just
run through this.

Speaker 2 (41:01):
Let's just let's riff on this one.

Speaker 1 (41:03):
Fifth place in this one, then Steve was Fabio diggian Antonio,
the only Ducati in the top five and the only
GP twenty five not propping up the back of the grid. Yes,
that does mean pecabag Nya and Kaylee Piro did finish
last and second to last in this room race.

Speaker 2 (41:28):
I love this.

Speaker 1 (41:29):
I love this so much, and it's funny. I can
see you getting animated. Then, I don't know why Steve
is so animated about this.

Speaker 2 (41:35):
Okay, I love the one bit. The only Jucati in
the top five. That's perfect. We've lived through the Ducati
dominant era all but was still in it because markets
will be sent back at some point. Yeah. How often
have we seen a Jaqati lockout of the top five? Definitely?
The podium times are changing. Yeah, this is a really

(41:58):
good example of how we're of them. Yeah. Well this
is and in the right way.

Speaker 1 (42:02):
With dig being the only Ducati in the top five,
this is the very first sprint podium with no Ducati
on it. Yes, perfect, Yeah, wow, the it does feel
like the concessions.

Speaker 2 (42:13):
Rules are working, It really does. This showcase is how
good they are and how much it takes time, but
it allows everyone else to catch up.

Speaker 1 (42:20):
It takes time, and maybe it takes a fumble from
the absolute genius dig Julna. But if it was in
years gone by and the one one of these concessions
GG could have made this fumble and then just testing
out of it.

Speaker 2 (42:33):
Yeah, just literally all right, give me a week. Yeah exactly,
we'll iron this problem out. But I don't have that
luxury anymore.

Speaker 1 (42:39):
No, exactly, You've got to get everything right. And for
the way, if you're at the front of the teams,
at the back have got more of a chance to
experiment and to gamble and to see what works and
replace things if not, because I think, did we see
two condur engines blow up this weekend?

Speaker 2 (42:51):
Yeah, both of them had a blow literally went up
as smoke. So that one from was a marinely when
he was just ahead of Binder or someone which literally
blew wow right up in his face. Holy shit. That's dangerous.

Speaker 1 (43:04):
Scary, man, Yeah, very scary for whoever's behind like a
place to be.

Speaker 2 (43:07):
I don't think it was mere winning qualifinal practice. Okay,
but yeah, they both I can remember when they both
went bang. And for the fact that the other GP
twenty five is a stone cold last, the second and
the last, and when you're a two time GP champion.

Speaker 1 (43:23):
It's mad because even at the start of the year
when we were like, I mean, obviously Pecker took that
win in Kota when Mark crashed out, and even the
start of the year we were like, oh, that goes
suffering with this new bike. This ain't great. But fuck me,
the last you know, the last handful of races.

Speaker 2 (43:39):
Four rounds have been torrid for.

Speaker 1 (43:40):
Him, really really bad. But then it's mad because you
put in what the last where is he here? Yeah,
because he's fourth in the championship.

Speaker 2 (43:48):
Now, yeah, it's dropped behind mister b So you fuck me.

Speaker 1 (43:52):
You put in Peko's last four race weekends. Okay, Mazzano
no points in this retirement from the race. Mattegi. When's
the sprint, wins the race, gets poposition, gets fastest lap YEP.
Indonesia no points in the sprint, not retired from the race.

(44:13):
Australia no points in the sprint. Retired from the race,
like what the fuck man, And that kind of that
almost implies maybe he's just really pushing really hard and
keeps crashing. Because he's pushing so hard, it doesn't quite
tell you how bad he's been in the last those
kind of three races apart from Mategia.

Speaker 2 (44:31):
There, Yeah, that whatever happened in Mategi is just a
one off, and we came into the last two rounds
so hopeful.

Speaker 1 (44:40):
After Mategi we're like, oh my god, is he Backe nailed?

Speaker 2 (44:44):
Everyone thought he'd nailed that problem iron out what was happening?
Definitely not, absolutely, definitely not. There's work to be done,
and the guy looks broken. There was some really they
were photos him and his family members in the carriage,
but they were consoling it. Yeah, it's and you know,

(45:06):
normally you would think of these shots as like well done, hugs.
This is like fucking dry your eyes, mate, Yeah, quite
not good. There's work to be done. There's so much
be done. Yeah, fantastic for Fabio for his fifth place.

Speaker 1 (45:23):
Amazing Fabio.

Speaker 2 (45:24):
The rest of the Jucatis. Not a great weekend.

Speaker 1 (45:28):
No, some work needs to be done, Yes, we know, Philippi.
I did wonder, you know, watching the race weekend, do
you remember when Ducati were pretty good everywhere except for the Pilandes,
Like it got to a point where when Dovey was
challenging for titles and you know he.

Speaker 2 (45:43):
Got twenty seventeen, twenty six.

Speaker 1 (45:45):
Kind that twenty eighteen twenty nineteen, even Dovey could win nearly,
could potentially win nearly everywhere, but never at Philip Island.
And then Doukati just improved the point where there was
just the greatest machine in the world. Is this the
first step of a Ducati regrets where we're going? Okay,
this track that it took us the longest to dominate

(46:06):
is now the first one to slip off. That domination disappears.

Speaker 2 (46:09):
Potentially you hit that point where everything flips on its
head and you become the greatest. Suddenly when you turn
it in reverse, everything has that whiplash behind you. Yeah,
so the first thing you find your fell faced is
your bogie. Yeah, this is it?

Speaker 1 (46:22):
Yeah, exactly and kind of how it feels. I think
this is maybe, uh, this, more than anything else we've
seen this year, must have been the biggest warning shot
to do absolutely statty, like you need to put.

Speaker 2 (46:33):
It out if you want to continue this. This to
me is the one where he rings up belong YOUA
and it's like we're coming back, We're back in that boardroom,
We're solving this. This is the one that highlights everything's
going wrong. And because it's not.

Speaker 1 (46:47):
Just Pecko, it's everyone that's not named mar Marquez.

Speaker 2 (46:51):
Yeah, basically is struggling. So there's yeah, tons of work
to be done here. Yeah quite but for us fantastic.

Speaker 1 (47:02):
Oh exactly. It makes everything else much more.

Speaker 2 (47:03):
Exciting, and it gives you a storyline the follow Suddenly
we've got that interlay stories Ali, everyone else is coming
on Cassire going backwards. What's going to happen? Now? Where
does that leave markets?

Speaker 1 (47:17):
It could potentially make next year very exciting. If Jucasti
is maybe not the best bike on the grid, but
Marquees is probably still the best rider on the grid,
like it will be quite exciting. It will be much
more like the honder era around that kind of twenty
sixteen twenty seventeen, better than the Honda wasn't twenty fifteen,
but not maybe not the best pike on the grid anymore,
but Mark still has the magic to do it.

Speaker 2 (47:39):
Exactly everyone else's. You suddenly become a one rider manufacturer.

Speaker 1 (47:43):
But has he still got that? Potentially he don't know.

Speaker 2 (47:46):
We're going to find out. This is the thing. All
these storylines are now starting to flow. Yeah, you know,
we're starting to project the next year, what could be?
What could be? We do this every year, Yeah, literally
start looking to next year. The doors for great storylines.

Speaker 1 (48:02):
Actually for a top rack championship on a.

Speaker 2 (48:05):
Don't tell Jack would be very jealous. Should have been me.

Speaker 1 (48:09):
I think Jack is very accepting of a number two
role in any I think Jack is. He seems like
a pretty chill guy. I think he's quite happy to
just be doing the job he loves.

Speaker 2 (48:20):
Do we think we could see Jack teaching top rack
out of there shoey.

Speaker 1 (48:26):
I think that would require them both to be on
the podium at some point, and I'm not sure the
proma are going to get two podium spots in a
race at any point. I think we'll see top rack
teaching Jack have to a stopping Oh.

Speaker 2 (48:39):
That would be something both down the pit lane.

Speaker 1 (48:41):
There's going to be great stopping competitions between those two.

Speaker 2 (48:44):
Oh, there's a championship, there's a team launch, Yes, stopping
onto the stage from the other side.

Speaker 1 (48:49):
I'd like to see. The team launch is just a
competition between those two who can pull the longest stopping.
Just give him like an R one and just.

Speaker 2 (48:59):
Yeah bragging rights.

Speaker 1 (49:00):
Yeah, give him an R one. Take them to a
circuit somewhere in Europe probably and yeah, just in fact,
Turkey's gonna have pretty nice weather late in the year
when team launches are going to be as is Australia.
To be fair, the Turkey's a bit closer to most people.
So let's go. Let's go to Keenan's track for Yamaha's

(49:21):
or for Parma's team launch. Next year, we'll go to
Keenan's track, Keenan softwar Glue and we'll do a stoppy
competition between Jack and top Rack for the team launch.

Speaker 2 (49:33):
For the product team you mentioned that a malgamotion of cultures.
That'd be fun, man, I think it'd be fantastic. You've
got top Rack and those turk I can't remember they
call those Turkish sweet treats.

Speaker 1 (49:43):
The back Lava.

Speaker 2 (49:44):
That's the backlab we had. There's a pop up shop
in Norwich.

Speaker 1 (49:47):
Mate back Lava is my favorite, is so good?

Speaker 2 (49:51):
Belt in a sense to this layd It's like for
twenty five quick massive box. Yeah, I said the pictures
to everyone, and what do you recommend is do you
want me to do a selection box of my favorites?
Fuck you?

Speaker 1 (50:03):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2 (50:04):
And this thing was loaded. He was piling loads in.
We got it back here and is it come through?
And we just sat at the table here just mashing
this stuff in. It's so good. But you get that
you then take that Aussie kind of nice adding a Barbie. Yeah,
it's going to be the perfect clash, not clash.

Speaker 1 (50:21):
And to be fair with an Italian owned team in
the Italian yeah, yeah, get some while we're throwing national
stereotypes out, get some pizza and pasta in the mix.

Speaker 2 (50:35):
You imagine the dinner. It would be good.

Speaker 1 (50:38):
But there we are going to be some great team
meals of Bramac next year.

Speaker 2 (50:42):
Mate, we got to go. Yeah, suddenly we're just dreaming
about the food.

Speaker 1 (50:46):
All of a sudden, I'm like looking up Nadia Padovanni's
deats on the web. That's Christini, Who's who owns Pramac.
What's his name, Paolo Campan, Yeah, that's it, looking up
his dats on the web, like so when you're doing
your's a meal for your team launch you maybe not
considered yet, but here is the menu I'm suggesting please give.

Speaker 2 (51:05):
Us an in Oh, can you mentioned Aussie food cooked
by an Italian with the aftersos Aussie food? Well, I
don't know. I just gotta assume everything's barbecued.

Speaker 1 (51:16):
Everything's barbecue. It's probably kangaroo and it's probably washed down
with fosters.

Speaker 2 (51:20):
Yeah, probably, but or right, barbecued Italian food. I don't
think having food works with barbecue. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (51:28):
I would fire pizza other essentially a hotter barbecue.

Speaker 2 (51:34):
Or the Aussie lifestyle. No, that wouldn't work on an
Italian is very unique.

Speaker 1 (51:41):
We'll just put more on a beach. Nice beaches, nice
beaches in Turkey, nice beaches in Australia. There we go
track and then we have a party on the beach. Excellent.

Speaker 2 (51:51):
I'll give this some thought how we could work this one,
But whatever way, they're going to be well fed and
it'snna be fucking tasty. Yeah. I'm quite jealous, very very
jealous by this.

Speaker 1 (52:02):
H There we go. Well, I'll leave you to marl
that over and we'll just to come back to Digi
here fabul Jan Antonio that is skirt over. Yeah, this
was a great performance from him, really good. He's got
a good record run for the Piland anyway, but this was,
like we say, he was easily the fastest U Catti
rider during the sprint and yeah, like I said, this

(52:23):
is the first ever Spring podium without to County on it.

Speaker 2 (52:26):
Amazing.

Speaker 1 (52:27):
Fourth place in this one was did someone say hometown hero? Yep,
yeah they did because Jack Miller doing it for the
home crowd. And frustratingly, Jack was just over half a
tenth as well, Like, it was so close and that
would have been really special. The peaks on this guy
are so high. It's such a shame he's never been

(52:49):
being able to access them over a season regularly.

Speaker 2 (52:51):
I know.

Speaker 1 (52:52):
It's just amazing he could get the half second that
apparently Philip Island gives Australian riders everywhere. Oh Jack may
well have been a world champion at some point in
his career.

Speaker 2 (53:03):
The guy's got ready. We know he's so talented and tough.
Look at that crash he had at Silverstone and Mark
vd s bike.

Speaker 1 (53:09):
Yeah, I just think constantly, man, Jack's entire career, like
all the way through Moto three, Like that Moto three
year twenty thirteen, he battle with Alex Marquez for that title.

Speaker 2 (53:18):
Yeah, was incredible.

Speaker 1 (53:20):
His highs were so high and the only reason he
lost that title was because he had a few DNFs.

Speaker 2 (53:24):
Yeah, yeah, exactly that. There's just so few and far between.
He's a fantastic rider, such a good rider.

Speaker 1 (53:32):
I still wonder what his career progression would have been,
you know, if he'd gone a couple of season in
Moto two.

Speaker 2 (53:36):
I really wish we could see that. Yeah, if he'd
had just not got straight into motor jipy and just
come through Moto to learn a bit from riding those bikes,
but been a bit older, bit more mature before he
got it, didn't have such a learning curve, Yeah, definitely
slowed him down and was straight on the fucking dog

(53:57):
of the bike. Ah, it would have been a completely
different story. And I'm sure he'd have had a championship
under his belt multi time winner.

Speaker 1 (54:06):
I'm not convinced he'd have a Motor GP championship under
his belt, but I think there probably is a championship
in there somewhere. Maybe if he'd stayed Amote three another year,
they'd have been a Motor three championship. If he'd have
gone to two, two or three years, there might have
been a motor championship there.

Speaker 2 (54:20):
I think it would have been a flying the Ointment
in GP, if not Cusping a Padros.

Speaker 1 (54:26):
Yeah, because he'd probably come up because that would have
avoided a lot of the CRT bullshit exactly, and he
might have come up into a better bike than because
obviously that Mark VIDs Hond Was he on the market, Yeah,
he's on the Mark VIDs Honda first, wasn't he.

Speaker 2 (54:43):
Yeah, it's it's not been the easiest ride for jack
was it the other way? He started on VIDs, didn't it.

Speaker 1 (54:49):
I think he might have started on an LCR Honda
and then they made the Mark VDS team for him,
or did he because then Scott Reddin came into Mark Vidia.
I don't know. I can't remember which where I went
to be honest, I would have been twenty fourteen. So yeah,
while you're googling, yeah.

Speaker 2 (55:10):
Jackie Miller, here we are, so three motors three. So
you started on the.

Speaker 1 (55:16):
LCR okay, so a year on the LCR Honda. Yeah,
moved over to Mark Video because I think then Lucia,
I can't afford to run two bikes.

Speaker 2 (55:23):
Yeah, something like that happened. So he started on the Yeah,
the CMW LCR Honda.

Speaker 1 (55:31):
Yeah, I remember that.

Speaker 2 (55:32):
They partner case manufacturer or something. Yeah, there was something
weird along that line. Yeah. Best eleventh was his best
place finish.

Speaker 1 (55:41):
But then a CRT bike in your rookie year, job done,
Happy day. He's eleventh is all right.

Speaker 2 (55:45):
Yeah that's not bad at all. So yeah, two years
on the Mark VDS we had that horrible crash, and
then over to Primak twenty eighteen until twenty twenty Catti
Lenovo KTM. Yeah, prim guy has been around. It feels
like it's a very much a nearly man.

Speaker 1 (56:07):
Yeah. Yeah, that's kind of the bridesmaid.

Speaker 2 (56:09):
Yeah yeah, never the bride. Yeah, always picked last in
the team.

Speaker 1 (56:15):
It's funny, isn't it, because you would you'd never pick
him last, but he'd never be first.

Speaker 2 (56:20):
No, no, always vice captain. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (56:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (56:24):
The only time you pick him first if it is
like a j C B race or something.

Speaker 2 (56:28):
Jack's the guy, Oh who's the man? Does a showy competition?

Speaker 1 (56:31):
That's fair.

Speaker 2 (56:32):
Yeah, he's all over it, Yeah, all over it. That's
a fourth place Home Races advantage, fantastic.

Speaker 1 (56:39):
Weekend, the first row as well. Yes, he did bikes
on the first Roddy and Jack Miller and Para doesn't
appear in the top five for the sprint.

Speaker 2 (56:49):
No, there's a big accolade to be had there for
Jack this weekend, quite serious bragging rights. You're going around
to the factory Johnson pointers. If you just hold it,
hit fuck off. Jack is just.

Speaker 1 (57:03):
There like, fucking take a cheery out of this, your
prick as he launches a boot him across the room.

Speaker 2 (57:07):
Yeah, I could see him doing it as well. Yeah,
poking his head around the corner, just that cheeky grill,
his thumbs up, like where did you come off? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (57:16):
Exactly third place in this one. Then Steve was Pedro
Acosta and he's just here doing yeah, putting our BIKERI
doesn't really belong and being almost impossible to overtake. And
Katym was so fast in a straight line and so
good on the brakes that Pedro was just able to
hold everyone behind him and has now got another medal
to add to the collection.

Speaker 2 (57:36):
Exactly. The guy was like a rolling roadblock. Well, he
wasn't stopping anyone. You just could get around the fuck it.
You know, when he stuck behind a fast tractor. You like,
he's just quick enough, but I can't overtake it. Yeah,
he's not slow enough to warrant a dodgy overtake exactly.
It was frustrated as hell. Yeah, he's just doing pedro things,
putting that thing where shouldn't be.

Speaker 1 (57:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (57:55):
Quite, katm needs to really hold on this boy.

Speaker 1 (57:58):
Quite I don't think going to. But they're going to try.

Speaker 2 (58:01):
They're going to give it the best shot.

Speaker 1 (58:02):
They're going to throw big money at him, but I'm
not convinced it's going to work.

Speaker 2 (58:06):
No, No, not at all. There'll be some big checks
going his way, but I think he's ambitious enough to
ignore that.

Speaker 1 (58:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (58:12):
Quite.

Speaker 1 (58:15):
Second, then in this one, Steve was Ralph Dude, I
don't know.

Speaker 2 (58:21):
I think he's a standing replacement righter.

Speaker 1 (58:24):
Okay, honestly, what the who saw this one coming? Ralph
Fernandez just popping it into second place like easy? Like what?
I just don't even have words. An amazing performance from Ralph.

Speaker 2 (58:37):
Show was fantastic and he did make it look easy.

Speaker 1 (58:40):
Yeah, he really was really good, and obviously he led
a bunch of the race as well.

Speaker 2 (58:44):
Yeah, he was right up there, fantastic.

Speaker 1 (58:49):
And held for a while and.

Speaker 2 (58:54):
Was fast as hell, and he really took it to him. Yeah,
I reckon he had a little sweat on at one point. Yeah,
I suspect it was a little bit like shit.

Speaker 1 (59:04):
Especially like I s he had that movie on what
lap it was? We had that move where he ran
really deep into one of the corners, really close to
the back of Fernandez, and you were like, oh, that
was really close.

Speaker 2 (59:15):
Yeah, they could have wiped them both out. That was
astonishingly close.

Speaker 1 (59:18):
But then he recovered and was clearly the fastest track
and there was no problem a little bit. Yeah, it
felt like round might win this spring.

Speaker 2 (59:26):
For a while. It did. Yeah, it really did. He
was in with a shell, but like I said, led
the race to finished second. This guy cannot crumble.

Speaker 1 (59:34):
Amazing. Just a great performance from him and really chuff
for track House to see them getting the podium.

Speaker 2 (59:38):
Yes, yeah, they needed it. It's a good progressive He's
been on a bit of an upward shift lately, so.

Speaker 1 (59:43):
Hopefully the last few rounds have been really good.

Speaker 2 (59:45):
Yeah, hopefully if he could settle into a being a
top five finisher consistently, it could be a great into
the season.

Speaker 1 (59:52):
For him, absolutely, and that'd be an amazing just way
for his career to have gone.

Speaker 2 (59:56):
Yeah. Yeah, how many times we said we think the
Roun experiment is.

Speaker 1 (01:00:01):
Iver said it counless times, mate, And maybe I'm being
proved wrong here, but.

Speaker 2 (01:00:05):
Yeah, the steady upwards curve is upwards thing.

Speaker 1 (01:00:09):
Yeah, upput thing exactly. And speaking of upwards curves, upwarding,
the winner of this one, Steve was one Marco Bozeki. Obviously,
Ralph Anders second. The Prillia did look amazing this weekend,
but Bes was clearly the fastest rider out there. This
Dominance ring performance was fantastic. The corner speed he was

(01:00:29):
able to carry compared to everyone else was insane. He
did nearly catch him out a couple of times, as
we just mentioned, he nearly went into the back of
other riders that he was following, But I don't think
he Nora pretty expected this partnership to be so fruitful
considering what's hamp to Martin this year. I bet they
are bloody grateful over in Noale that and you know,

(01:00:51):
I hope bez has got some hefty bonuses coming his way.

Speaker 2 (01:00:54):
Oh he has to. They have to be at this
point in time, Prillier have to be looking at him
to think we need to keep this guy.

Speaker 1 (01:01:01):
Well right now we're like fun knows what's going to
happen to Martine after the end of next year, like
the new contract cycle, Martine the first opportunity is going
to sign somewhere else.

Speaker 2 (01:01:11):
Yeah yeah, well unless he can have a solid year
next year. Really got to beat Bez he's got Yeah,
that's going to be the first thing. He's got to
beat Bez, who was now sitting such a president. He's
the number one rider. He needs to claim that that
spot back and show why he is a world champion.

(01:01:31):
And after all this time off, that's going to be
a hard slog because where is Martin back? No, no,
that's not confirmed it so.

Speaker 1 (01:01:41):
We think it will be put to now there's nothing confirmed.
I think he's only confirmed to be missing spang.

Speaker 2 (01:01:47):
Yeah, yeah, that's right, that's right. Probably very good weekend.

Speaker 1 (01:01:55):
Just an amazing weekend from him, full stop. Yes, yeah,
well played. And this is a track, isn't it Actually
for the part that we kind of all assume we'll
fit the prettier. It's a fast flowing bike. Okay, maybe
it's not got the Ducassi done in many aspects, fitting
corner speed, like missile. It's a shame Mark wasn't here though,

(01:02:17):
wasn't it? Like you'dn't like to see.

Speaker 2 (01:02:19):
Mac Bez just going out and imagine that scrapping. Yeah, roped.
Actually we'll see it. Yeah, we need to see it.
Bes is on form. It's a shame. Mark isn't here
and on form. Yeah, that would be a hell of
a tussle. Yeah, quite next year. Next year, we'll pencil it.

Speaker 1 (01:02:40):
We'll pencil it. We'll have a word.

Speaker 2 (01:02:42):
We'll tell them, we'll tell them. I'll send to emails
with a script for your boys.

Speaker 1 (01:02:49):
Right then, Steve, before we touch on the Grand Prix,
let's take one more quick break and then we will
talk about the top five in the Moto GP full race.

Speaker 2 (01:02:59):
Let's do it stuff.

Speaker 1 (01:03:00):
So, guys, bear with us for just one moment and
we will be right back with you. Thank you for

(01:03:22):
bearing with us. We aren't back bladders, Our empty bits
are full, and we are ready to crack on with
the Moto GP top five. We certainly are so for
this one. Steve, Let's just take a quick moment here
to remember that the fastest guy over the weekend. Mark

(01:03:43):
Oberzeki did have a double long lap penalty to serve
due to essentially wiping out mart Marquez for the rest
of the season.

Speaker 2 (01:03:51):
Yeah yeah, that coming together?

Speaker 1 (01:03:53):
Yeah quite, I do what if they were in a
championship battle, this is a good penalty considering.

Speaker 2 (01:04:00):
Yes, if they were battling it out for the championship,
there would be a hell of a implification on the
championship standing up.

Speaker 1 (01:04:09):
Yeah quite, but they are not, so it's was just
an unfortunate mishab really, but fifth place in this one,
Steve was one Pedro Acosta, another great result and once
again the only KTM in the top five.

Speaker 2 (01:04:24):
Yep, doing pedro things, just.

Speaker 1 (01:04:25):
Doing pedro things, Yeah very much. Still a rolling roadblock
and unlike in the sprint. You know, there's too many
lapsto Grand Prix to be a rolling roadblock and score
a podium.

Speaker 2 (01:04:35):
Yes, exactly. You can't do that and get on the podium.

Speaker 1 (01:04:40):
Yeah quite.

Speaker 2 (01:04:41):
But the fifth is still good.

Speaker 1 (01:04:42):
The fifth is still good. In fact, where did the
next KTM finish?

Speaker 2 (01:04:46):
Oh that's a good show. I have no idea.

Speaker 1 (01:04:49):
I don't even have the results open in front of me.
Hanging on a moment.

Speaker 2 (01:04:53):
Let me.

Speaker 1 (01:04:53):
Navigate to motor tip dot com, click the results and
standings Boston. I'm going to give you a live narration
of what's going on here. I did it. It's fine,
it's in front of me, so I'll just wait for
it to actually load. The next KTM was but I
been it in eighth twelve seconds off the win, which
put him at about four seconds off Pedro Costa. So

(01:05:17):
all things considered, not that bad.

Speaker 2 (01:05:19):
No, they were all bunched together. Yeah, Benda and Paul.

Speaker 1 (01:05:24):
Yeah, speaking of pol Man, Jesus, he had a weekend mate.
The guy Barlas Fargo is just I don't know. I
feel like maybe I didn't appreciate him enough when he
was a motor full time METOGP rider, because now whenever
he stands in and you're like, oh my god, what
could you do if you were still full time?

Speaker 2 (01:05:41):
Yeah? Yeah, after that horrific face smash up, yeah, quite
and all that, if you'd have stuck it out, my
god knows, because it would have had such impricate meditation
of the championship. Who went where, because the riders to
go would be in a very different situation.

Speaker 1 (01:05:56):
Well, to be fair, we wouldn't have pedera costa for him,
didn't he yea, so.

Speaker 2 (01:06:01):
It would be very different. But every time he turns
up he just looks great.

Speaker 1 (01:06:04):
Yeah, And I think it was everyone talking about this weekend.
He was a shopping trip with his wife in New
York where you got the phone call winner we need
to She's like, well, fuck, I need to get from
New York to Australia.

Speaker 2 (01:06:15):
That's it. Yeah, we're it's fairly close, I guess not. No,
I was thinking of the West Coast.

Speaker 1 (01:06:24):
But even that's not close. We kind of have this,
I think because we're on the Atlantic. Were like, the
Atlantic is a big the hell of the chunk of water,
but it's not the Pacific. Man, that is half the hemisphere.
There's times if you look at the globe, if you
spin around, all you can see is the Pacific blue. Yeah, exactly,
like exactly, So, I don't know what you take from

(01:06:46):
New York, New York, Hawaii, Hawaii, Australia probably would be
my guest on that line. It would be a stupid route,
maybe New York Alaska, and then you can't even go
up and over the pole because then you've got to
come all the.

Speaker 2 (01:06:57):
Way back down exactly. You've got to go around.

Speaker 1 (01:07:00):
Yeah, maybe you could do New York, Japan, Japan, Australia,
but it would be Yeah, it's a long journey to
get out there.

Speaker 2 (01:07:07):
Yeah, let's have a quick look flight route from New
York to Philippine.

Speaker 1 (01:07:15):
Yeah, or just Australia Melbourne. It's with Philipine A arrive
in Melbourne and Melbourne probably have the biggest airport. I
imagine in Australia.

Speaker 2 (01:07:23):
I don't know. So you would almost give me flights. Yeah,
it's not give me the route, it's just give me
the flights. Oh, there's a picture, so you would go.

Speaker 1 (01:07:34):
Can you do it direct? Surely you can't do it.

Speaker 2 (01:07:37):
Oh my god, I've got the weird loading loading so
you Oh my good god, that's strange. You would go
from this. Oh my god, this is weird to look

(01:07:57):
at because it's give me the flat version of the
curve lines and it's split it into two.

Speaker 1 (01:08:03):
Well, I'm just going to jump on sky scanner and
just see what sky scanners is. Yes, there's the route.

Speaker 2 (01:08:07):
Yeah, this doesn't look too bad. You'd hop over from
this one. If you went from JFK, you'd hop over
to the West Coast and then.

Speaker 1 (01:08:14):
Oh you're going lax or something.

Speaker 2 (01:08:16):
Yeah, so, and then you would literally straight line it,
don't Oh.

Speaker 1 (01:08:20):
So you can do it in a w from the
west coast.

Speaker 2 (01:08:22):
Yeah, well it looks like you'd have a Yeah, from
the west coast. I go over to the east. They
definitely have a layover in something like La and then
straight down, so you can do it.

Speaker 1 (01:08:34):
I've got JFK straight to Melbourne. Actually, oh no, that's
a two stop, one stop.

Speaker 2 (01:08:44):
Maybe, but there is a one stopper in there. There
is one.

Speaker 1 (01:08:49):
Oh, I've got one that goes JFA to Auckland or
jeff K to Auckland and then Auckland to Sydney, Auckland
to Sydney, then Sydney to Melbourne. So that's a three
flighter that's also probably going through my sky's kind of history.
Put the cheapest one there.

Speaker 2 (01:09:05):
Yeah, so you can.

Speaker 1 (01:09:06):
You can, but it's just a grand for an economy
seat for that flight. I've paid way more than that
to get to New Zealand.

Speaker 2 (01:09:12):
Yeah. Yeah, that is doable. You could. You could fly
straight JFK to Melbourne.

Speaker 1 (01:09:19):
You can do it straight. Yeah, No, I've got it
as a one stop as the fastest journey.

Speaker 2 (01:09:24):
I've got twenty six hours literally.

Speaker 1 (01:09:26):
JFK to Melbourne. Okay, yeah, the fastest, hell of the fly.
The fastest one I've found is a twenty six hour
flight that goes via Dallas, takes you to Fort Worth.

Speaker 2 (01:09:41):
No, yeah, I've got that one on here. Yeah, but no,
there is one. There was that a second one.

Speaker 1 (01:09:46):
Well that's not even twenty six hours, that's barely twenty
two hours. Look at that.

Speaker 2 (01:09:50):
Yeah, via Auckland. You can do it. It's doable. Wow,
who knew?

Speaker 1 (01:09:56):
But you know he's flying at least business and Katie
im paying for it, so happy.

Speaker 2 (01:10:00):
He don't get Yeah quite maybe the why it's a
bit pissed. Yeah, quite somewhere.

Speaker 1 (01:10:05):
Down you know though, he'd have been like, I'm actually
on a shopping trip with my wife this weekend, so
I'll need you to pay for my business class flight.
I'll need you to cover her hotel to stay in
New York and probably a few grand chopping budget.

Speaker 2 (01:10:17):
Yeah, just to soften the blow, yeah, you know, because
she's not gonna be happy.

Speaker 1 (01:10:21):
No exactly, Yeah, sure, we'll sort They're like, yeah, okay,
well you can speak to Pitt about that.

Speaker 2 (01:10:32):
You could put the receipts in exactly here it is
signed this bad boy off quite got the petty cash.

Speaker 1 (01:10:41):
He's like, yeah, I just opened the blue tin. You're
the key on my kearring.

Speaker 2 (01:10:45):
He's got that little teary tily cash. Yeah, exactly, little
box of money.

Speaker 1 (01:10:49):
You open it up and it just sings angels and
it's just Katie and credit card. He's like, yeah, we
got it.

Speaker 2 (01:10:53):
Sword, Yes, so this is why we got in trouble.

Speaker 1 (01:10:57):
Yeah, you're pol you do as we are in financial ruin.

Speaker 2 (01:11:02):
Yeah, we're billions in depth pot.

Speaker 1 (01:11:03):
I don't care, but Jadge put loads of money in them.

Speaker 2 (01:11:08):
Yeah. Just go to speak to someone over. There's a
fucking man. You tell her imagined that phone called pit
by Paul's wife.

Speaker 1 (01:11:17):
Yeah, oh that would have been very good. Okay, yeah,
I'm happy to, but you need to explain what's happening
here and just hands the phone over.

Speaker 2 (01:11:28):
Yeah, he.

Speaker 1 (01:11:30):
Just pops on speaker. I actually want to listen to this.

Speaker 2 (01:11:34):
That rage love give it.

Speaker 1 (01:11:38):
Fourth place. Then in this one was Alex Marquez managing
to drag himself into the top five at this time.
Alex took good points at this weekend, especially over Peco
bag Naya and has now all but secured his runner
up spot in the championship this year. Peck over his part,
finished like we said before, in the penultimate position in

(01:11:58):
the sprint and d nft the Grand Prix to be
fair while actually making progress, although it was to the
bottom of the top ten.

Speaker 2 (01:12:07):
He was moving up though he wasn't fast.

Speaker 1 (01:12:10):
Yeah, he progress, What do I hear? He scored the
tenth fastest lap in this race and was only like
four tenths off the fastests. But compared that to Mandalika
where he was nearly two seconds off the fastest lap,
Like this was an improvement.

Speaker 2 (01:12:25):
Yeah, yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:12:28):
It's mad to think that this was an improvement and
zero point.

Speaker 2 (01:12:32):
I know.

Speaker 1 (01:12:33):
That's a two time world champion who arguably could have
been a four time world champion if the dice had
fallen in his favor of a bell.

Speaker 2 (01:12:39):
Yes, that is very true, That is very true. I
don't know. But anyway, anyway, Alex fantastic job. Oh great,
considered this weekend to drag himself up there. A fantastic
result is to treat this like a win?

Speaker 1 (01:12:55):
Yeah, quite, and the top GP twenty four in certainly
in the Grand Prix. Was he the top GP four
in the sprint as well?

Speaker 2 (01:13:02):
Maybe have a quick look. Yes, he was twenty four
in both races. Yeah, so there's something to be said there.
The guy is still a hell of a talent and
it's done some amazing things this year, so you can't
discount him. He's always kind of around, hard to bet against.
But that second place streak is well over.

Speaker 1 (01:13:20):
Yeah, it's well over. But he is now one hundred
and four points clear of Peco. Yes, although actually with
the results this weekend is Bes in third now, but
Alex is still ninety seven points clear of Bears and
there's only one hundred and eleven points up for grabs now, sorry,
Alex looks pretty secure.

Speaker 2 (01:13:38):
And so that's the second place.

Speaker 1 (01:13:41):
Marquez won two this year.

Speaker 2 (01:13:43):
That would be amazing that that family has had a
hell of a year. Yeah, quite a year.

Speaker 1 (01:13:50):
Yeah, mainly good though, And what's a little injury when
you've just become an eight time world champion?

Speaker 2 (01:13:54):
Yeah? Exactly nine world champion? Yep, not seven? Nine?

Speaker 1 (01:13:59):
Not seven? I got out of nowhere.

Speaker 2 (01:14:03):
We'll just throw numbers in there.

Speaker 1 (01:14:05):
Yeah, does he two time world champion?

Speaker 2 (01:14:07):
Wow?

Speaker 1 (01:14:08):
What? Yeah? I wonder you know, like I would have
won a lot of his championships in the same year.
He'd have won like three fifteen titles in the year.
I don't know if you would bounce it out and
pretend that he could only raise one of those classes,
how many championships he'd have And same as true of
race wins, like he would race multiple classes across the weekend.
Like bring that to the modern day.

Speaker 2 (01:14:30):
Hm, that's interesting.

Speaker 1 (01:14:32):
Actually, yeah, because parm Me thinks if you're counting.

Speaker 3 (01:14:36):
Bess best because I just read Mark Overzeki, if you're
counting agos records, as you know, across the race weekend,
he could have got two wins and across the year
he could have got two championships.

Speaker 1 (01:14:49):
If we discount and say, okay, you're only allowed to
race one class. Now where does he stack up? But
if we're going to continue to count those as fine,
do we need to include mark sprint wins in his win?

Speaker 2 (01:15:00):
That is true. That is very true actually.

Speaker 1 (01:15:03):
Because okay, Rossie was born in an era where he
couldn't possibly race two championship at the same time and
couldn't race sprints at the same time. But tough shit.

Speaker 2 (01:15:12):
Yeah, it kind of feels that way.

Speaker 1 (01:15:14):
Yeah, I wonder, I wonder where that would bring everyone
in line, if you could have either got account or
mark sprints, or you've got to get rid of AGO's
double weekends.

Speaker 2 (01:15:21):
That is very true and double championships, that's very true.
They've been interested one to look up.

Speaker 1 (01:15:25):
Yeah, maybe I'll be an off season projects.

Speaker 2 (01:15:27):
Yeah, a little bit.

Speaker 1 (01:15:28):
Of maybe last chat chipts it for me.

Speaker 2 (01:15:30):
Yeah, Yeah, took the leg workout.

Speaker 1 (01:15:33):
Yeah, I like to weeks third place in this one.
Then Steve was the fastest guy on track Marco Berzeki,
and he had all the same pace in the Grand
Prix that he had in the sprint, but was hampered
by that double long lap penalty, which gave him too
much work to do. I do think if he'd have
clean air in front of him after the long lapse,

(01:15:54):
he still would have won the race. But that's not
the reality of my GP. And they've got to start
having to over to take riders because that first long
lap put him into what third, fourth, I think it
was third. I think he's still on the podium, and
then the next one droppedhim down to six. Yeah, so
he's already done a fucking great job to stretch the field.

Speaker 2 (01:16:10):
Enough opening lap, He's stayed out for several laps, and
he just to stretch that lead out as much as possible,
which is fantastic. Yeah, because obviously he was pushing. There's
always a risk he could win it. But it paid off.

Speaker 1 (01:16:21):
And he was super the first time, at least super
quick through the long lamp. He lost less than two
seconds through that long.

Speaker 2 (01:16:26):
Yeah, he really pushed that one through. There. There's a
couple of little twitches at some point to be like,
oh ship.

Speaker 1 (01:16:31):
Apparently he'd been practicing it all weekend. See him constantly
going at it.

Speaker 2 (01:16:35):
Yeah, I've read that somewhere that said like off camera
he was constantly in every other lap he was going
for it, so he knew it was coming. Yeah, and
obviously that had been announced previous. But yeah, right, things
to do, that's it. And the regard as fast, Like
I said, the first one was less than three seconds,
so yeah, quite did well, very.

Speaker 1 (01:16:53):
Good and even with a double long lap, you know,
to get back on the podium be comfortably third, like
a good job.

Speaker 2 (01:16:58):
Yeah. Yeah, this guy really slow show cases talent this
weekend and really did a preveier proud.

Speaker 1 (01:17:03):
Yeah, how far back he was two point four seconds
back off the win.

Speaker 2 (01:17:06):
Ye nothing, not really. Yeah, he should have done he
should have had Yeah, two wins to his name this weekend. Yeah,
quite that, But.

Speaker 1 (01:17:16):
That's the rarely of it. You wipe someone out, you
pay the price.

Speaker 2 (01:17:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:17:20):
Second in this one then, was one of Fabio Diggian
Antonio as in the sprint did he was the top
two catti and over the weekend the only GP twenty
five rider to score points.

Speaker 2 (01:17:33):
That's amazing, that's wild.

Speaker 1 (01:17:36):
The only GP twenty five score points this weekend was
Fabio dig Antonio.

Speaker 2 (01:17:40):
That's nutty, absolutely do cat.

Speaker 1 (01:17:42):
He must be getting themselves a bit of a TIS
over the performance of their latest bike without my markets
right now, or maybe getting themselves in a TIS over
the performance of peckabag Nya right now.

Speaker 2 (01:17:51):
I think both, Yeah, I think both. When you're clearly
relying on one person to drag you to the top,
if that person isn't there, yeah yeah, if I don't know,
behind behind the scenes, there must be a lot going on.

Speaker 1 (01:18:09):
There's got to be a lot of conversations happening, haven't they.

Speaker 2 (01:18:11):
Yeah, Yeah, the brass are going to be sat around
the table with the big pot of coffee.

Speaker 1 (01:18:16):
Yeah, but really good Italian.

Speaker 2 (01:18:18):
Yeah, it's gonna be fantastic. Anything crap, It's not like
simply something we can own the shopping buy.

Speaker 1 (01:18:24):
No, do you take a jar of nest cafe there?
You're probably getting there on the face.

Speaker 2 (01:18:31):
I think I'll get thrown back at. Yeah, a dedicated
coffee brewer in the Tacti factory. Is it's a job.
It's a career.

Speaker 1 (01:18:40):
I bet there is.

Speaker 2 (01:18:41):
I bet all the time they will have a barista
for sure, someone in there who's very fantastic.

Speaker 1 (01:18:47):
That's your job. You're like, what do you do for
a living? I am a barista?

Speaker 2 (01:18:51):
A barista?

Speaker 1 (01:18:52):
Where do you work? I travel a lot for work?
You travel as a barista? Yeah, I'm actually the Ducati
factory GP teams forista. Right, okay, sit down, sir, we
need a chat because some stories.

Speaker 2 (01:19:06):
And please make us a coffee.

Speaker 1 (01:19:08):
Yeah exactly. Wait before you sit down, I'll take a
flat white.

Speaker 2 (01:19:11):
Yeah you probably get slept for that.

Speaker 1 (01:19:13):
Yeah, like no, I do. Espresso is an espresso? Deal
with it?

Speaker 2 (01:19:18):
Yeah? That little tiny warning cup that you see him drinking.

Speaker 1 (01:19:20):
Yeah, I'll be like, okay, can you give me an espresso?
But can you give me also a big mug full
of boiling water and some milk to have separately, you understand, Yeah,
not mixed together. I won't take sugar in it. If
I like to feel better.

Speaker 2 (01:19:34):
Yes, it's got me straight. I love caffeine. That's to
load up a horse.

Speaker 1 (01:19:39):
Quite then winning this race, Steve, and I'm not convinced
this happened. I'm not convinced this.

Speaker 2 (01:19:47):
Weekend he knows it's happened yet.

Speaker 1 (01:19:50):
Raul Fernandez, it feels like a trip I've never come
back from. Ralph Fernandez is a Moto GP winner, and
every team on the mo O GP grid has now
won a race.

Speaker 2 (01:20:01):
That's fantastic.

Speaker 1 (01:20:03):
It's fantastic.

Speaker 2 (01:20:03):
That's fantastically love that.

Speaker 1 (01:20:05):
That was a really nice that Yeah, really really good.
It's the kind of stat that I think most most
World series would really be hoping for.

Speaker 2 (01:20:12):
In the series. Yeah, everyone's a winner.

Speaker 1 (01:20:16):
And this this whole thing, Mate, it feels like absolute lunacy.
Like I've been hard on Raul over the last few years,
but in the last few rounds he's beginning to show
the promise he had in Moto two. It's amazing it's
taken this long, but it also feels like we're in
a bit of a moment for slow burn riders. Alex
Marquez just with the form of his life, Ralph Fernandez,

(01:20:37):
he's just become a race winner, and they're both pretty
lucky to still be on the Moto GP grid, I think,
and they've both proven that the faith from their respective
teams was well well worth it. Whether this vain of
form continues from Fernandez is yet to be seen. This
was a very stronger Previer track and as soon as

(01:20:57):
the exactly and as soon as Bazeki was out, you
kind of had this like, yeah, or Ralph Ands is
the favorite, and I kind of felt like that sitting
down to watch it, I was like, Ralph Anders might
be the favorite, and then I went, Ralph Andanders can't
be the favorite. There's no way Ralph Andanders can be
the favorite.

Speaker 2 (01:21:12):
This whole weekend has had a Prillier vibes. Yes, And
as soon as you got that announcement that Berzeki had
that double long black penalty, we went into Saturday, Perzeki
won the sprint, he sat there he suddenly like thoughts
started going from my mind. I was like, hang on, yeah,
it's in a Prillier tract, but who's next? And the
only one that could come to my mind was rout.

Speaker 1 (01:21:32):
And the guy that finished second in the sprint.

Speaker 2 (01:21:33):
Yeah, I said that. I was like, surely not. And
then it started to unfold before my eyes. I was like,
holy shit.

Speaker 1 (01:21:39):
Even into the last lap, I say, there's no way
he's going to have been It's something weird's going to happen.
That rap is going to win this race.

Speaker 2 (01:21:44):
And that's exactly what it felt like, something was going
to unfold, that were just rob him of it. But no,
the guy took it across the line and it was fantastic.
I loved it.

Speaker 1 (01:21:56):
Yeah, mate, it's so good. It's so cool to see,
so cool, and he's proved that he's more than capable.
If the machine is capable of it, Raoul is capable
of delivering results. And maybe it happened this weekend because
you know, the Aprillia was just that extra step above
everyone else. Row probably isn't winning the other races that

(01:22:17):
Bazeki's won this year. No, In fact, he was in
all of those races and did not win any of
them and wasn't even on the podium for them. No,
but man, this goes a long way to securing his
motivy future because if now everyon's look kind of like, well,
fuck if we can unlock that all the time.

Speaker 2 (01:22:32):
Yeah, he's proven he could do it and legitimately beat
these people. Yeah yeah, but this was not a wet
racis wasn't a mixed condition race. There was nothing funky
out there.

Speaker 1 (01:22:40):
Only funky thing. There's two funky things that happened in
this race. Mark Marquez wasn't there, Marco Ozeki had a
penalty raphanand still had to beat everyone else.

Speaker 2 (01:22:48):
Yeah, exactly, and he did it legitimately. So he's just
cemented himself as a Motor GP winner and a real
contender to stay on the grid.

Speaker 1 (01:22:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:22:57):
Absolutely, So we have been hard on him.

Speaker 1 (01:23:00):
And do you know what if this this may well
be his only win. This may be he might get
get nowhere near this again. But fuck me, he's done it.
He's having day of days.

Speaker 2 (01:23:12):
He's got his trophy and it's not a third place,
it's not the second place. It's the first place.

Speaker 1 (01:23:16):
It's a win.

Speaker 2 (01:23:17):
And a fantastic trophy. It's really nice trophy. So I'm
pleased for him, so for the team, and just hope,
you know, we've got three rounds left even if you
could just finish top five for the next three rounds.
Absolute incredible way to win this season.

Speaker 1 (01:23:33):
Yeah, quite, it's just fantastic, And I just I don't know.
I'm kind of just lost for words on it, to
be honest, I just can't comprehend really what happened. I've
still not really wrapped my head around it at this point.

Speaker 2 (01:23:49):
I think it's gonna take a walk sinking, and it
might take a real watch and then we'll be like, well, ship,
it did happen, And then he's probably still pinched himself
doing the same thing. He's probably got the trophy next
to him in.

Speaker 1 (01:24:01):
Bed, yeah, exactly, and wakes up for.

Speaker 2 (01:24:03):
They Oh I didn't put the box of popcorn on
the floor. Oh it's my trophy.

Speaker 1 (01:24:09):
You know.

Speaker 2 (01:24:09):
He's got the race on real, like on real, just
on his TV. Yeah, there's constant forever you flick channels,
and it's still the same thing.

Speaker 1 (01:24:19):
His nephews are be coming over in the future. I
don't actually want to go see Uncle Raol because he
just makes us watch that one race that time.

Speaker 2 (01:24:26):
Yeah. You know, he's forty five and I'm a GP.

Speaker 1 (01:24:28):
Winn' Yeah, wouldn't you.

Speaker 2 (01:24:31):
Yeah, Yeah, you know we've heard this Uncle Rao. Did
I tell you about the time I want to make
GP race?

Speaker 1 (01:24:36):
Honestly, every Christmas, you just don't stop talking about it.

Speaker 2 (01:24:40):
You sit in your big chair, your nice chair, You
get your trophy out and just tell us the stories.

Speaker 1 (01:24:45):
Although you know, when he becomes like racist Uncle Raoul
in his future the Christmas is there, the kids will
at least steer him onto that motorip race rather than
a racist tirade. I'm not suggesting he's actually racist. It's
just a racist uncle joke.

Speaker 2 (01:24:58):
Yes, that uncle everyone has in the family, the dreads
coming to family events. Please don't get on the alcohol.
Oh my god, what is good? Yeah exactly, Yeah, we've
all got that angle.

Speaker 1 (01:25:11):
Yeah we have for that relations here. I don't want
to detract from ral here, but you did mention how
the trophy looked good this weekend. And I want to
show you what the Formula one Cota trophies were this weekend.
They were some of the most beautiful trophies I've ever seen.
All right, let's have a little turn my laptop round.

(01:25:31):
Everyone else can google this. That is the trophy from
Cota this weekend. And if you look closely. Each side
of that bull's face is actually the outline of the co.

Speaker 2 (01:25:41):
That is a fantastic great one, isn't it.

Speaker 1 (01:25:43):
Yeah, that is numbers for the positions. Yeah. Yeah, it's
a really really good looking trophy, much better than just
kind of the almost motorbike handle kind of.

Speaker 2 (01:25:56):
The trophy.

Speaker 1 (01:25:57):
Yeah, this one's really good.

Speaker 2 (01:25:58):
That is fantastic.

Speaker 1 (01:25:59):
Yeah, I thought it was a really cool one this weekend. Yeah,
that just reminded me because of cool trophies. But yeah,
Ralph and andanders Man, Like I don't know, I feel
like I could just gush about this performance like all night,
Like he just blew me away. And I hope he
hasn't sunk in for him yet, because it's fucking not
sunk in for me.

Speaker 2 (01:26:19):
He really rides this wave for a long time, and
I hope it shows in his racing over the next
three rounds, which a shame.

Speaker 1 (01:26:27):
Spang is the next track, which certainly don't have a
good record round don't feel like a good Prillier track.

Speaker 2 (01:26:33):
Even if he can challenge Beds for the top a
Prillier quite yeah, coming into the like this round, especially
even if he could come away as top dog. That'sctly
if it's in the top five or a podium for
fucking yeah, that's something to really write home about. But
I think considering the next round is not an a
Prillier s track. It's got to be let's be top

(01:26:55):
a Prillier. Yeah, no matter what. And even if we
just find the two of them five in for six
and seventh wherever on the grid and it's just a
fantastic duel between the two of them.

Speaker 1 (01:27:06):
Happy. Yeah, Well, he's comfortably the second best of Prelier
in the standings right now. Yeah, third Ralphernanders is down
in tenth i, Agora sixteenth, where the Fox twenty first.

Speaker 2 (01:27:22):
Yeah, I'm not surprised thirty.

Speaker 1 (01:27:23):
Four points on the year, but.

Speaker 2 (01:27:26):
He's had a huge junk of time off.

Speaker 1 (01:27:28):
Yes, that's a huge part of the facts. Yeah, in
fact he's Wow, he's competed in four races. He's finished
four races, not including sprints. He's competed. So he retired
from Qatar, which is where he got that really bad injury.
The next one. He then retired from Austria. He was

(01:27:49):
finished seventh in Bruno, got a fourth, tenth, thirteenth and
then a DNS in Mategi and hasn't been back.

Speaker 2 (01:27:56):
Since next year, next year, next year.

Speaker 1 (01:28:03):
God, we'll have to wait and see, mate, We'll have
to wait and see.

Speaker 2 (01:28:05):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:28:06):
Man thinks some of like, I'm really glad Martin won
that title because.

Speaker 2 (01:28:10):
It feels like that was the only one.

Speaker 1 (01:28:12):
Yeah, it feels like I might have been. But it's
easy to say that when we're just in this really
deep dark season. There was a time where we were going,
have we just seen my kids win his last title?

Speaker 2 (01:28:22):
Exactly? Exactly anything that this guy could come back stronger, Yeah, exactly,
really good. Just spurred on watching what Mark has done,
and we know Mark has talked to.

Speaker 1 (01:28:31):
And just watching what Zeki's doing. What's Ralph Fernandez is
just fun. Ralph Fernandez beat Joge Martin to in a
Prillier win.

Speaker 2 (01:28:39):
Nutty all right, he wasn't there, but.

Speaker 1 (01:28:41):
Ralphernander's beat Pedro Costas with majip win.

Speaker 2 (01:28:47):
Yeah, wow, yeah, big scalps. He took some big scalps
this week.

Speaker 1 (01:28:51):
Didn't he Just Yeah, just a fucking great show.

Speaker 2 (01:28:54):
Good job, it was fantastic, such a good race.

Speaker 1 (01:28:57):
Quite that. Then he's bringing us towards the end of
things here, Steve, I think that's got to be the end.
I think, well, we still need to make our predictions,
and before we make them, we need to recap them.

Speaker 2 (01:29:08):
Let's just make them.

Speaker 1 (01:29:10):
Let's recap them first.

Speaker 2 (01:29:11):
I thought you might want to.

Speaker 1 (01:29:12):
So let's recap our predictions from the race weekend, Steve.
The actual result for the sprint was a Berzeki win,
a Ralph Fernandez second, a Pedro Acosta third. I predicted
a Berzeki win and Alex Marquez second, and a Pedro
Acosta third. I scored six points again Pedro right position,

(01:29:34):
and that was pretty good.

Speaker 2 (01:29:35):
I was happy with that, A very good sitting for yourself.

Speaker 1 (01:29:40):
You predicted a Marco Bozeki win, a Pedro across A second,
and a Firmin Aldergare third. Like as your four points
Bez three points in the right position, Pedro one point
on the podium in the incorrect position. Yes, then the
Grand Prix. Neither one of us did particularly well here, No,
we did not. The actual result was a Ralph Andnander's win,
a fair Digian Antonio second, and a Marcovererzeki third. I

(01:30:04):
predicted a Marco Bozeki win, a firm and Alderger second,
and a Fabio Digian Antonio third. So I get Did
I read that last one out right?

Speaker 2 (01:30:15):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:30:15):
I think so? Yeah, But I get two points there.
I get a point for Bez on the podium in
the incorrect position and a point for Digi in the
podium in the incorrect position. You predicted a market Zeki win.
I forgot you'd pick me second, for you did go
for me and a fermin aldergir Mere crashed out, didn't he? Yeah, yeah, okay,
that's unfortunately wasn't even riding in the podium positions then though,

(01:30:38):
And you predicted a ferm and Outga third. Do you
get a single point for getting Bears on the podium
in the incorrect position? That gives me eight points On
the weekend that gives you five. Brings my total up
from one hundred and thirty to one hundred and thirty eight,
brings your title up from one hundred and thirty one
to one hundred and thirty six.

Speaker 2 (01:30:53):
I'm well play.

Speaker 1 (01:30:55):
In the closing stages of the season. I've managed I'll
pull it back, Laura in it back, noicely well played,
But who the fuck knows what's going to happen to Pang.

Speaker 2 (01:31:04):
I'm lost on this one completely.

Speaker 1 (01:31:06):
It's time to make us a pank predictions. Would you
like to go first or second on this? Obviously I'll
go first, So you give me your sprint. I'll give
you my sprint a Grand Prix, and then you can
finish with your Grand Prix.

Speaker 3 (01:31:16):
Right.

Speaker 2 (01:31:17):
I am absolutely lost in all at sea with this,
absolutely no idea. I go some thought earlier and just
gave up. Okay, so I am going to hand it
back this weekend. I think we could see a Pedro
Acsta ring the sprint.

Speaker 1 (01:31:37):
Oh nice, Okay.

Speaker 2 (01:31:41):
From I'm going to go to alex Markets, okay, and
then from there, Fabio Antonio.

Speaker 1 (01:31:50):
You know what's funny, I've just written mine down and
I've got exactly same riders as you, but just in
a different order. No, so I'm going for an Alex win,
a Fabio Antoni, a second at Pedro ast a third
like the Grand Prix, I'm also going for Alex win.
Then I'm a bit stuck.

Speaker 2 (01:32:06):
Yeah, this longevity is I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:32:11):
Yeah, it's hard, hang on, give me a second. I
didn't do this like I normally do, but I normally
go back and checked last year's results. So I'm just
gonna do that quickly. But obviously it feels rude to
not tell you the results from last year, so I'll
let you know those two. So last year this race
was won by Peckaback NYA Johima team was second and third.
Alex Markez was fourth, Pederro cost was fifth, sixth, Vino's seventh,

(01:32:34):
then Rins Berzeki Fernandez. So Bez is in a run
of form, So I'm going Alex Bez. I just can't
trust a KATM to look on tires to the end
of a full length race.

Speaker 2 (01:32:52):
The fuck you put als in exactly. It's difficult.

Speaker 1 (01:32:56):
It's a really tough one this and normally I've worked
all this out beforehand, so I'll do it live here.
That's not so good. No, thanks for bad podcasting, right,
which means I'm going to have to just put Pedro
in there. So I'm going Alex Digy Pedro for the No,
I'm not okay, that's for the springt Alex Diggy Pedro,
and then for the Grand Prix, I'm going Alex Berzeki Digy.

Speaker 2 (01:33:20):
Yeah's got to be there. The favorite. Really, I'm going
to say he's going to break the duck I'm going
to go Bzeki for the win. Okay from Pedro?

Speaker 1 (01:33:33):
Okay, Oh okay, nice, I like that. I did wonder
about Frankie.

Speaker 2 (01:33:45):
Yeah, it could be a little outside, but it's a
real long shot. He could probably get complete wrong.

Speaker 1 (01:33:52):
But that's okay, mate, This is now fucking monk has gone.

Speaker 2 (01:33:55):
Who knows what exactly, We're back to that stage, like,
who the hell do you put in it? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:33:59):
Quite please to recap. For the Sprint, I'm going Alex Marquez,
Fabian Antonio, Pedro Acosta. And for the Grand Prix, I'm
going Alex Marquez, Marco Berzeki, Fabio di Antonio. Steve for
the Sprint is going Pedro Acosta, Alex Marquez, Fabio Dijan Antonio.
After the Grand Prix, we're going Steve is going Marco Bazeki,
Pedro Acosta, Frankie more than DELI.

Speaker 2 (01:34:21):
Sounds good.

Speaker 1 (01:34:22):
Sounds good. That does then bring us to the end
of the show.

Speaker 2 (01:34:26):
Steve certainly is so.

Speaker 1 (01:34:29):
Guys, next week we will not be recording. I'm fucking
off to Wales to go spend a week volunteering at
an rsp B site there For anyone outside of the UK,
that's the Raal Society for the Protection of Birds, So
I only go hang out with a load of I think.

Speaker 2 (01:34:46):
They have chuffs.

Speaker 1 (01:34:47):
I think's a lot of chuffs at South Stack and Anglesy.
So you know, if anyone's actually a keen keen Twitter
and Fantasy is just coming and saying hello, I'll be
an Anglesy South Stack, you can pop.

Speaker 2 (01:34:56):
In, You're go bird watch you.

Speaker 1 (01:34:58):
I'm going to volunteer at the sites.

Speaker 2 (01:35:01):
So how the hell do you find these things to do?

Speaker 1 (01:35:03):
Well? Schari already volunteers for the RSPV. I was hearing
their emails and things, and sure he has become a
really keen burder in the last eighteen months or so.
So we've kind of hit that point in life where
we're like, should we got a party? And yeah, well
we could just get up early and go watch the
birds and the Dawn Chorus, which might be nice. Let's
go to that, and says, so, yeah, that's where we're act.

(01:35:24):
Sure he's bigger on it than I am, but it's interesting.
I like knowing things. I like being able to tell
people that I know things more than anything.

Speaker 2 (01:35:30):
So that's what I do. I drink any things, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:35:33):
Yes, exactly. I've got the Tyrian about me. Yeah, a
little bit less cool than Tyrian unfortunately, definitely taller, definitely taller. Yeah,
but what I gain in height I lack in coolness, sadly.

Speaker 2 (01:35:47):
Fair enough. Yeah, there will be no show next week
because Tim's chasing birds.

Speaker 1 (01:35:50):
Yeah, exactly, case, exactly that. Yeah, I'm going to be
yes volunteering the RSPB site. But we will have our
post Malaysia review the following week, yes, yeah, and the
week off yeah, exactly, so we will. We won't be
in person. This's our last one in person.

Speaker 2 (01:36:08):
This is our last one in person. You're leaving me again.

Speaker 1 (01:36:10):
I am after Wales heading up to Nottingham to go
work for a couple of months. But we will. It's fine, Steve.
We're going to the pub tomorrow anyway, exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:36:19):
We're going to back to where it will begin. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:36:21):
Quite just confused me because I looked at my clock
on my computer and I was like, we're going to
the pub on Wednesday. Cool? And I looked up glance
at that. I said Wednesday. Well fuck, are we supposed
to be the pub tonight? Oh no, it's five past
midnight Wednesday.

Speaker 2 (01:36:34):
Sam confused me earlier when you sent me a picture
from the pub.

Speaker 1 (01:36:37):
Was yeah, I'm sure that's not Now.

Speaker 2 (01:36:40):
Have we just completely bailed on someone?

Speaker 1 (01:36:42):
Yeah, no, it's all good. I did go in there
the other day. I got locked out of the house
the other day, so I went up and hung out
in the chip shopping. Why not, chips are expensive now.

Speaker 2 (01:36:50):
Ships we were in there the other day. I was like,
oh my god.

Speaker 1 (01:36:53):
Yeah, quite, that surprised me somewhat.

Speaker 2 (01:36:55):
Yeah. We got back late from the hospital. I was like, ohoa, yeah, mind,
like you weren't be doing this too much anymore. Quite,
I boiled accounts. He's one of the cheap ones.

Speaker 1 (01:37:05):
Yeah, yeah, quite. But you know, if you know him,
he means your large portion actually becomes like a triple XL.
So that's okay. You kind of feel a little bit
less bad at that point.

Speaker 2 (01:37:14):
Yeah, we're in a rush getting both from the hospital.
There's what's going on. I squeached a whole outside of
the shop, basically shirt of the ordering and coming out
only wanted like three boxes worth her stuff. I come
out on five. Yeah, I was like, thank you, Sammy.

Speaker 1 (01:37:24):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:37:26):
Got the hell the hell out of there really quick.
It's busy and I don't like being around people.

Speaker 1 (01:37:31):
That's fair. I went in when it was quiet, so
I just tug about it in there. My chips chatted.
I went in and SA went to a cup of
teat him. I was like, no, I'm good mate, and
it's a shame with a coffee all right, pass me your.

Speaker 2 (01:37:41):
Mug, any excuse for a caffeine here?

Speaker 1 (01:37:43):
Exactly? So I took his mug. Wandering into the back
kitchen girl and there I didn't know, but I just
wondered him and just started making random walksh Yeah. Well
I walked in, I went the coffee's moved and I
was like, oh, it's up there now, and she started
making a coffee and she appeared she are you okay?
I was like, yeah, I'm just making a coffee. She
looked at me and how that sound smarking it?

Speaker 2 (01:38:03):
Ah, explains everything, the caffeine addict.

Speaker 1 (01:38:08):
Exactly. This is eight pm. They're not bad.

Speaker 2 (01:38:10):
Yeah, he does hit it all the time.

Speaker 1 (01:38:12):
I don't know how he ever sleeps he does.

Speaker 2 (01:38:14):
Actually he's just nocturnal. This is our friend who has
the chibby. We hang out with quite a bit. Yes quite.

Speaker 1 (01:38:20):
That's where I used to work.

Speaker 2 (01:38:21):
Yeah, yes, where the monkey used to work.

Speaker 1 (01:38:23):
With, and that's how we know each other.

Speaker 2 (01:38:24):
Steve, there we are. There's the history.

Speaker 1 (01:38:27):
Quite so there we go. Thank you all very much
for listening.

Speaker 2 (01:38:31):
Game over.

Speaker 1 (01:38:32):
Yeah, that's the insight into our lives. You get a
lot of insight into our lives. Isn't that part of
the fun they exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:38:38):
You get to know what's going on next week, what
pills them on is great.

Speaker 1 (01:38:42):
We're not recording speaking into the microphone.

Speaker 2 (01:38:46):
I am talking to myself quite a bit, to be fair.
You first pop these pills are rush.

Speaker 1 (01:38:54):
It's fun, man.

Speaker 2 (01:38:55):
Then you have the crash, not so fun. Then you
pop another one way.

Speaker 1 (01:39:00):
Welcome to addiction. That's how that hits.

Speaker 2 (01:39:04):
Yeah, yeah, you've got yourself off at some point.

Speaker 1 (01:39:08):
We worry about that in the future maker, that's the
future problem exactly. So guys, thank you all very much
for listening. If you have any questions or comments, anything
you want to say to us, you can find us on.

Speaker 2 (01:39:18):
We are for the Love of Motor gup and we
can find us on Instagram and Twitter, or come and
join the Facebook community. We've had a few more people
join this week, so welcome.

Speaker 1 (01:39:27):
Speaking of we need to be moving that over somewhere else. Yes,
this Facebook chat thing is closing down for groups for
some reason.

Speaker 2 (01:39:35):
I have no idea why. They've just decided to take
it away from us. So, yeah, we will be somewhere else.

Speaker 1 (01:39:40):
Yeah, I don't know. Maybe we'll do a you can
talk about discord. Maybe discord, So maybe we'll put a
poll up in the group and see where people would
like to move that chat to.

Speaker 2 (01:39:51):
Yeah. I quite like discord because it gives you options.
You can do tabs. I don't I've never really used
read it. I need to have a look at it,
so it's fine.

Speaker 1 (01:39:59):
Doesn't have the same kind of live chat function as
the discord or a messenger.

Speaker 2 (01:40:04):
Okay, well maybe I don't know. We'll have a chat.
We'll have a look at both, and then.

Speaker 1 (01:40:08):
Let us know if you have a preference or you
have another idea of somewhere we can post a group chat.
Then please do let us know.

Speaker 2 (01:40:14):

over on Patreon. So if you have the financial wherewithal
and the you just want to help us out, that
would be much appreciated.

Speaker 2 (01:40:32):
It's just very kind.

Speaker 1 (01:40:33):
Yeah, LinkedIn show notes for that one. We could always
start a WhatsApp group, you know. Ah, but then everyone's
gonna give their phone numbers out. Yeah, maybe isn't the
best idea.

Speaker 2 (01:40:44):
Yeah, And being we do have listeners all over the world,
it's going to be constant the chat.

Speaker 1 (01:40:50):
You could anyway. I just have the notification bubble pop up,
but I don't actually have push notifications on.

Speaker 2 (01:40:56):
I don't know. I might look into the discord because
we could open up all different.

Speaker 1 (01:40:59):
Different it's more privacy than with WhatsApp.

Speaker 2 (01:41:04):
Yeah, that's definitely.

Speaker 1 (01:41:06):
Yeah. I don't know. Maybe if you guys listening have
a preference one way or the other, or there's something
we haven't mentioned and just let us know. Yeah, but
that's us Steve. So, guys, thank you all very much
for listening. We will speak to you the week after
next when we will be chatting all things Malaysia. Stay
safe and look after each other, and we will speak

(01:41:26):
to you then.
