Are you facing giants that seem impossible to overcome? Do you wonder if victory is even possible against the towering challenges of our time? Rev. Tim Brimm delivers a riveting message from 2 Samuel 21 that might just change your perspective forever.

Drawing from the powerful story of David—who once slew Goliath but later "waxed faint" in battle against other giants—Rev. Tim Brimm reveals how God is raising up a new generation of spiritual warriors for our time. This compelling sermon unpacks the profound truth that while giants are inevitable in every generation, they are never invincible.

"Giants are attacking our homes, they are attacking our hearts, they are attacking our holiness churches," Rev. Brimm warns  with urgent conviction. "We are in a battle with giants." Yet the message brims with hope as he reminds us that if David and others conquered their giants, we can overcome ours too.

The sermon specifically addresses two massive giants confronting today's believers: materialism and mental battles. The first tempts us to prioritize possessions over purpose, while the second attacks our minds through depression, doubt, and discouragement. With pastoral wisdom, Rev. Brimm explains how these giants can be defeated through proper priorities and spiritual disciplines.

What makes this message particularly powerful is its call for continuity in spiritual warfare. Just as Abishai, Sibachai, and others stepped up when David grew weary, God is looking for young men and women today who will "lay their lives on the altar of consecration" and stand in the gap against the enemies of faith.

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed by personal challenges or concerned about the spiritual battles facing our world, this message offers biblical insight, practical wisdom, and a renewed sense of purpose. Listen now to discover how you can become part of another generation of giant killers!

appreciated that preaching,didn't you?
I'll tell you, brother Meadowjust absolutely got a hold of
the Lord.
Conviction came in this house.
Young folks literally run intothe altars Praise God, and I was
thrilled to see that happening.

(01:05):
I had several Brother Meadowthat told me last night that
everything was ready.
Hallelujah, and that's whatit's all about at youth camp
getting ready to go and stayingready to go.
Is that right?
You cannot be getting readywhen he comes back.
You've got to be ready.
I said you can't be gettingready, you've got to be ready.

(01:26):
You've got to have everythingsettled and prepared to go.
And I was glad to see all thoselast night that lifted their
hand and said that they wereready to go after that service
last night.
Appreciate Brother Meadow andhis preaching, his burden and
just the will of God that he wasfollowing last night.
I appreciate the good responsein the altars yesterday morning

(01:50):
and last night, and prayer iswhere we get it and the altars
is where youth camp is madesuccessful, and so I want to
encourage you again this morninglet's get right back in the
altars, let's pray, seek theface of God and let the Lord
have his way among us.
All right, I've already feltthe spirit of the Lord here
today.
Have you Amen?
We're going to go to 2 Samuel, chapter number 21 today.

(02:13):
2 Samuel, chapter number 21.
Want to start reading in versenumber 15 and go through verse
number 22.
2 Samuel, chapter number 21.
Verse number 15.
2 Samuel, chapter number 21,.
Verse number 15.
Hallelujah, thank you, jesus.

(02:34):
I trust that you have yourBibles this morning.
I kind of gently rebuked youyesterday and so I'm going to
ask you to hold your Bible up.
If you got it, hold it up.
Hey, we got a few more on theboys' side, especially Girls.
Bring your Bible to church, allright.

(02:56):
2 Samuel, chapter 21, versenumber 15.
If you have it, say amen.
Come on, let me hear you Sayamen, amen.
The Bible said in verse number15,.
Moreover, the Philistines hadyet war again with Israel, and
David went down and his servantswith him and fought against the

(03:17):
Philistines.
And David waxed faint andIsh-bib-nab, which was of the
sons of the giant, the weight ofwhose spear weighed 300 shekels
of brass in weight, he, beinggirded with a new sword, thought
to have slain David.
But Abishai, the son of Zariah, secured him and smote the

(03:40):
Philistine and killed him.
Then the men of David swearunto him saying Thou shalt go no
more out with us to battle, that thou quench not the light
of Israel.
And it came to pass after thisthat there was again a battle
with the Philistines at Gob.
Then Sibachai the Hushethiteslew Sath, which was of the sons

(04:00):
of the giant.
And there was again a battle inGab with the Philistines, where
Ohanan, the son of Jeororgim ofBethlehemite, slew the brother
of Goliath the Gittite, thestaff of whose spear was like a
weaver's beam.
And there was yet a battle inGab, over and over battles
fighting with giants.
There was a battle in Gab wherewas a man of great stature that

(04:22):
had on every hand six fingersand on every foot six toes, four
and twenty in number.
And he also was born to thegiant.
And when he defied Israel, jonathan, the son of Shimea, the
brother of David, slew him.
These four were born, battlethe giant, but he waxed faint.

(04:56):
And so what happened is thatother men began to step up and
fight the giants.
I want to preach to you for alittle while this morning, if
the Lord would help me and ifyou would help me on this
thought.
Another generation of giantkillers.
Another generation of giantkillers.

(05:17):
Let's pray together.
Let's all stand all over thehouse and pray together.
Heavenly Father, thank you forthe Word of God, thank you for
the Holy Ghost, what You've beendoing in this youth camp, lord,
I pray that you would againmove among us.
I pray that the Spirit of theLord would settle on the
preacher, that you would anointme and liberate me.
I pray, god, that the Spirit ofthe Lord would touch the hearts

(05:38):
of men and women right here inthis service today.
Move around the altar, pour outthe Holy Ghost and make us
victorious conquerors in thename of Jesus.
And everybody said Amen.
Tell your neighbor, I'm a giantkiller.
Amen.
Another generation of giantkillers.
We know that David was a giantkiller, don't we?

(06:01):
Amen?
From the time of his youth, david was a giant killer.
He was a man of fighting.
He faced a bear and God gavehim the victory.
He fought with a lion, and Godgave him the victory over that.
Then he came to that biggestgiant in his life Goliath and
again God gave him the victory.
Praise God In our Bible readinghere today.
Itoliath and again God gave himthe victory.
Praise God In our Bible readinghere today.

(06:24):
It's said in verse number 15,there is war again.
Now David has grown old.
He is no longer that young manwith a harp in one hand and a
slingshot in the other hand, butnow he is an older man.
His endurance for battle isfailing, for it said in verse
number 15 that he waxed faint, amen.

(06:45):
His power was gone.
His stamina to fight the longday of battle was waxing old.
He was past his prime as afighter and Ish-bib-na has found
this weakness in him and theBible said that he was about to
kill him with a new sword.
But it's good to find out thatDavid had already began the

(07:08):
training program of anothergeneration of giant killers.
And when David was waxing faint, these men were waxing strong
and they were ready to fight thegood fight, amen.
Men like Abishai in verse 17,sibachai in verse 18, elhanan is

(07:28):
mentioned in verse 19 andJonathan in verse 21.
They had been trained in theart of war and were ready to
rise up and fight For the causeof the King and the kingdom, and
they were willing to hazardtheir own lives and stand beside
their faithful leader, amen.
I really believe that today inthe holiness movement there are

(07:52):
giants that are moving againstour churches.
Amen, can you agree with me onthat?
There are giants that aremoving against our churches.
They are not physical specimensof height or even great
strength, but they are spiritualattackers who seem to be larger
than anything that we have everfaced before in our life.

(08:14):
Amen.
Let me tell you a few thingsabout giants.
First of all, giants areinevitable.
You cannot escape the fact thatyou will face a giant.
I said you will face a giant.
They are attacking our homes, they are attacking our hearts,
they are attacking our holinesschurches.

(08:34):
We are in a battle with giants.
But can I tell you somethingelse?
Giants are intolerable.
You cannot coddle them, youcannot find them, hold them, but
you must resist them.
But listen, giants are notinvincible.
You can beat the giant, you canget the victory, you can be an

(09:00):
overcomer.
You must conquer them.
Listen, if David killed hisgiants, then these other men
knew I can kill my giants.
And if there's been holinesspeople in the past that have
killed the giants of theirgeneration, then I tell you that
in this generation you can killyour giant, you can get your

(09:21):
victory, you can win your battle, and I believe God is raising
up another generation of giantkillers right here at Youth Camp
.
Help me, holy Ghost.
I believe God's looking forsome young men and women that
will lay their lives on thealtar of consecration and be

(09:43):
willing to give themselves Forthe cause of the kingdom.
And so what I want to ask youtoday is this Are you ready to
live for your Lord?
Are you ready to die for yourdeliverer?
Are you willing to be faithful,to fight For the faith of our
fathers?
Are you going to be anothergeneration of giant killers?

(10:04):
Is there anybody here todaythat wants to be a giant killer?
Wave your hand at me.
Anybody that wants to fight thegood fight of faith, anybody
that wants to stand up for GodAmen, you've got to be a
generation of giant killers.
Notice here, there has been ageneration of giant killers.

(10:27):
You can look in the Bible andfind giant killers.
In the Bible, the biblicalrecord tells us there were some
great men who were anointed tobe giant killers.
There were men like Joshua.
Oh, what a great man and heroof the faith he was.
That man, joshua, amen His veryname, amen, means salvation.

(10:47):
He was ready to fight thegiants in Canaan.
He said let's go get them.
Let's win the battle.
Men like Caleb, whose namemeans devoted, that said I'll
fight the three giants of Anakand I will destroy them.
Men like David that were menafter God's own heart, even they
said we're going to fightothers may bow or even run away,

(11:09):
but I'm commissioned to killgiants.
Even they were those among theBible.
But can I tell you we've hadgiant killers among our
believers.
Oh yes, we have in giantkillers among our believers.
Oh yes, we have.
In every generation of ourholiness movement we have had
many great giant killers.
They have fought their ownbattles with violent and

(11:30):
murderous giants.
But now, as they grow older andtheir strength begins to fade
and their physical body beginsto weaken, they are looking for
somebody in the holinessmovement that will stand up and
be another generation of giantkillers.
Amen, oh yes, hear me now.
But not everybody is a giantkiller.

(11:53):
I said not everybody is a giantkiller.
There's always a group of peoplethat say let's just live with
the giant, let's just toleratethe giant, let's just put up
with him a little bit.
There's always a generationlike that that said let's just
tolerate him, let's tolerate sin, let's tolerate the world.

(12:15):
Remember the twelve spies?
Only Joshua and Caleb came backand said we can kick them, we
can kill them rather, amen.
I'll tell you right now.
They said we can kick them outand we can pull down their
stronghold and we can get thevictory.
Amen, we can kill the giant.
But there were ten others thatsaid we cannot do it.

(12:39):
Amen, we cannot go in, wecannot get the victory.
You see, we are living in ageneration where there are some
young people that say I can'twin.
There are some moms and dadsthat say we cannot win.
There are even some preachersthat are burying their head in
the sand and they say we can'twin.

(12:59):
But I believe God is soundingthe trumpet, even calling out
the troops of another generationand saying somebody's going to
rise up, somebody's going tostand for me, somebody's going
to be a fighter, somebody'sgoing to stand for the truth.
Even I'm looking today for ageneration of giant killers.

(13:21):
Even thank God for the heroesof the past, thank God for the
heroes of the day, but I'mlooking for another generation
of giant killers.
Amen, hallelujah.
Not only is there a generationof giant killers, but here's

(13:42):
what I want to preach to youtoday.
Notice, there is a generationof giants.
Every generation has theirgiants, and if there's going to
be a giant killer, there's gotto be a giant.
Is that right?
Amen?
If there's going to be a giantkiller, there's got to be
something to fight.
And we live in a day, amen day, where we have plenty of giants.

(14:05):
You can ask the oldergeneration and they would list
the things that they battled.
They fought against their owngiants.
But I'm not worried about thepast generation right now.
I'm worried about this presentgeneration.
You hear me, young people, right now, you have your own set
of giants that you've got tobattle.
I'm worried about this presentgeneration.
You hear me, young people rightnow, amen, you have your own
set of giants that you've got tobattle.

(14:25):
You've got your own fight onyour hands.
Amen, that's why you've got tobe a giant killer, for there are
giants that are attacking yourgeneration.
Amen.
In verse 15, he said there waswar again In verse 18, war again
In verse 19,.
War again In verse 19,.
War again In verse 20, there'syet again another war, amen.

(14:47):
We are living in a day wheregiants are attacking us, things
that we've never had to dealwith before, problems that we've
never had to go through before.
Young people.
I realize that you're facing agiant, but I tell you, in the
name of Jesus, you've got to bea giant killer that's equal to
the giant that's attacking you.

(15:08):
Hey, let me deal with some ofthese giant killers.
This is what I need to preachright here Amen.
Somebody told me, said don'thold us too long, it's hot.
I'll tell you what I told them.
I said I'm going to be hotterthan you are.
So I know it's hot today, allright, and so let's just bear

(15:29):
with this and let me preach andlet the Holy Ghost move Amen.
The first generational giantthat I see here is that one of
materialism.
There's a giant that isattacking us in the area of
materialism.
There's a giant that isattacking us in the area of
materialism.
Oh, yes, you see yourgeneration.

(15:52):
Young people have been toldthat you can have the best of
everything.
As a matter of fact, youdeserve it.
Amen.
You deserve the best.
Nothing less than the best willdo.
It starts with our clothes Amen.
We got to have the best.
Nothing less than the best willdo.
It starts with our clothes Amen.
We've got to have the best.
It goes all the way down to ourshoes, amen.
It goes over to everyelectronic gadget Amen.

(16:12):
It moves into every realm ofentertainment.
You deserve the best.
If you want it, you get it.
If it's your pleasure, have it.
If it's your want, go get it.
If it's your desire amen.
Get it on the credit card ifyou have to, but get it at all
costs, Amen.
And then, as young people getolder, it moves over into cars

(16:36):
and houses, and then they wantboats, and then they want
everything else Amen.
It's a spirit of materialism.
Amen, you deserve it.
We live in an entitlementsociety where everybody feels
like they deserve what they want.
Now you listen to this preacher.
There is no sin in dressingnice.

(16:58):
As a matter of fact, I believeyou ought to look as nice as you
can, amen.
Soap doesn't cost much andshampoo doesn't cost much, and
deodorant would work and atoothbrush would be great.
Boys, amen.
I tell you, it doesn't hurt foryou to look as good as you can.
You ought to dress as nice asyou can when you go to the house

(17:19):
of God.
Amen, you ought to dress asnice as you can when you go to
the house of God.
Amen.
You ought to wear your best.
I said you ought to wear yourbest.
You ought not come in lookinglike you just crawled out of bed
, amen.
You ought not come in lookinglike you just played a ball game
or you've been sleeping withthe dogs.
I tell you you ought to come inlooking right.
There's no sin in dressing nice, no sin in having nice clothes.

(17:41):
I believe you ought to have anice car.
I believe you ought to have agood house.
But when the spirit ofmaterialism gets a hold on your
heart, you allow your prioritiesto get out of line and the
things of this life becomeprioritized above the things of
God.
Hey friend, if you're in thatposition, you're allowing the

(18:04):
giant of materialism to destroyyou and you need to go to battle
with that thing and get avictory over the giant of
materialism.
Hey, do you hear the preacher?
Right now, I tell you you oughtnot worry about even what you
look like, so much as what yoursoul looks like.
Even you ought to worry abouteven what you look like, so much
as what your soul looks like.
Even you ought to worry abouteven putting God first, even

(18:27):
seeking first the kingdom of Godand His righteousness and all
these other things shall beadded unto you.
Amen.
There are two places.
Help me, holy Ghost.
There are two places inscripture that deal with our

(18:48):
choice between God and money.
In Matthew, chapter number 6,and in Luke, chapter number 16.
He deals with these two things.
In Matthew, he deals withlaying your treasure up In
heaven and not on earth and saysseek God first.
In Luke, he deals with the factthat you cannot serve two

(19:10):
masters.
You must choose either God ormoney.
And then he begins to deal withadultery and finally goes
straight to the story of a richman going to hell.
The inference is obvious If youallow materialism to get a hold
of you, it will affect yourmorals and it will take you to

(19:32):
hell.
Amen.
I tell you right now.
It is the same spirit thatcauses you to go after
materialism that will cause youto be immoral.
Do you hear what I just said?
It is the same spirit thatcauses you to go after
materialism that will lead youto immorality.
That's why the Holy Ghost spokeabout it in Luke and he said if

(19:55):
you want materialism, even thenext step is immorality and the
next step is hell.
I tell you, my friend, it isdangerous to let the giant of
materialism get a hold of yourheart.
You've got to turn your back onthe pleasure of the world and
put your priorities right.
I tell you seek God first andGod will take care of you.

(20:18):
God will give you the job youneed.
God will give you the house youneed.
God will take care of you.
God will give you the job youneed.
God will give you the house youneed.
God will take care of it.
Young people Even put youraffection on things above, not
on things of this world.
You've got to put youraffection on a higher plane.
Even notice what it said.
Set your affection Even.
That means to pick it up andplace it there.

(20:40):
You cannot let the worlddictate when your affection is,
but you've got to place them Ona higher power.
Place them on a higher plane, place them on the power of God.
Put your priorities Even towardGod.

Speaker 3 (20:58):
Amen.

Speaker 2 (20:59):
Amen.
Not only is there a giantthat's affecting our materialism
, but there is a giant that isattacking our minds.
Help me, holy Ghost.
There has been an attack on theminds of our youth.
This giant has tried to twistand corrupt their minds.

(21:23):
You see, the mind is the firstbattlefield In our Christian
walk.
The devil knows if I can get avictory in their mind.
It won't be long and I'll be intheir daily life.
So he tries to gain access toyour mind.
How does he do that?
He tries to gain access throughyour eyes, what you see.
He tries to gain access to yourmind.
How does he do that?
He tries to gain access throughyour eyes, what you see.

(21:43):
He tries to gain access throughyour ears, through a hurt
feeling, through a broken heart.
He tries to gain through afailure of the past or a fear of
the present, or even thefutility of the future.
He tries to gain access andwork on your mind.
Oh, satan will bring depression.
He will bring a darkness uponyou.

(22:05):
He'll tell you that God doesn'tcare.
He'll tell you your churchdoesn't really care.
He'll tell you your pastor's anold fogey and he'll try to work
his way in your mind.
And Satan will torment andtorture you in your mind until
you're ready to give up.
He'll tell you there's no hope.
Hey did you come in here todayand your mind is in turmoil and

(22:30):
you'd like to get help.
But you wonder if you can.
Hey, is your mind under attackfrom the powers of hell.
Is the enemy talking in yourmind right now?
