heavy lifting. It is about toget nerdy this episode ninety nine, Part

(02:14):
three. So how many points canwe put after the ninety nine until we
hit a hundred? Like, whenwe get to ninety nine point nine,
can we do ninety nine point zeroone? Like? How does that work?
Point ten? Point? But thatisn't that just point one? Again?

(02:35):
No, it's point ten but thenpoint eleven decimal? Well, but
it's not decimals. It's just it'sjust part Listen, I grew up on
the Dewey decimal system, So thisis not how this is working, Like
my brain is like right now,it's only it's not that's not how this
works. That's not how any ofthis works. I'm just it's just a
part. There could be multiple partsto is like ten Fast and Furious films,

(03:00):
so it doesn't necessarily have to goright back to it. Yeah,
I'm just like part What does thatmean? It's just that's how many parts
there are part part Fast and Furious. No, it's Fast and furious.
What you're saying, three eight, part four, part five, part six,

(03:21):
and what's the next one that comesat part nine? Right? Sure,
that's how many Everyone back to theshow. We don't know how to
do this show and we've been doingit for ninety nine point three times.

news. Even I also am aclassically trained artist. I like to make
monsters, and I'm a musician.I like to make music that nobody knows

of it and stuff like that.Um, and I just like the like
the stories that you'll tell while you'redoing and just be chill with everybody.
So I enjoy that a lot.I definitely like doing the chill streams.
Yeah, sure, they're always chilland I love it. I love it.
Um. So, I guess we'regonna be talking about some stuff here

(06:16):
today with all of us here, and we're gonna just, you know what,
We're just gonna kick things off. What do you say? I like
that down, We're just gonna kickthings off away. So we're gonna talk
about a trailer that dropped, areally cool trailer, a trailer we've been
talking, we've been wanting to seefor a long time. That is the
Godzilla versus Calm trailer. Finally out. Wow, finally out. Uh Jimmy,

(06:44):
would you like to be the ownersof getting first thoughts on this trailer
please? So, I'm I'm veryexcited. So, first off, I'm
a huge Kaiju fan. I've lovedwatching the old Godzilla films and I've been
super hyped for the new American Godzillafilms. I'm even one of the rare
people that love the Zilla film.So Godzilla nineteen ninety eight, which technically
was donified, it was it wasmade cannon. It was made it was

(07:08):
made cannon because of h Forget, which Godzilla movie. It was. It
was one of the Japanese ones, and it was in two thousand and four.
But wait, I know what you'retalking about. Yeah, yeah,
yeah, and they like brought inZilla and then real Godzilla just trashed them.
I remember that. I've been lovingwhat they've been doing with the new

(07:30):
Godzilla films, especially the recent oneKing of the Monsters, which was basically
a love letter to anybody that grewup with Godzilla, especially like Godzilla versus
King of Dora and Godzilla um godKing Door Mathra and forget the rest of
it, Rodan um. Yeah. But uh but no. So when I
saw this trailer, I was likesuper hyped because I've been waiting for it

(07:54):
for a while because this movie issupposed to come out like in a couple
of months, and they've had atrailer to these sense like pre COVID.
So I was, I was.I've been waiting along with like probably every
other Godzilla fan on earth, andnow that I see it, I'm just
like, oh, this looks thislooks like it's gonna be a lot of
fun, like maybe even like Pacificrim levels of fun. M absolutely,

(08:16):
and we all love some Pacific rimin here too, Jason, what about
you. Uh, you know,it's interesting because there's there's a lot of
feelings about this. I mean,I remember the Godzilla film that came out
in nineteen ninety eight with Matthew Broderickand John Renault. I love that film,
even though it's like it's it's it'sa perfect example of how bad the

(08:39):
nineties era of films really were.Like they're just really bad, crappy films,
and I grew up in that time. I'm okay with that. I'm
absolutely okay with that. So,you know, watching Godzilla in theaters was
something I enjoyed. Looking back onit now, it's terrible, but you

(09:01):
know, I feel like there's acertain level of you know, cheese to
any of these monster films, Likenone of it ever makes sense, but
it's an escape for me anyway. So when they started with the King Kong
film with Bree Larson and Samuel Jackson, I saw that in theaters and I
thought it was great. I lovedthat, and I was like, definitely

(09:24):
want to see more. And thenit was a tease at the end that
they were bringing in Godzilla. Andthen when I saw the Godzilla King of
Monsters, film. I was verymuch interested in that. That was the
beautiful cinematic masterpiece of just Destruction.I love that, I really really love
that. If you look very carefullyat the trailer, I forgot the song

(09:48):
that was playing at the time whenthat trailer came out. I think it
was they have referenced Charlie and theChocolate Factory, or was it Willie walk
in the char Factory. I'm notnecessarily sure, but I have to watch
it again and I'm pretty sure I'llbe corrected. Nevertheless, it's the cinematography
on that was just very well done. So when they had mentioned that they

(10:11):
were going to be doing Godzilla versusKing Kong, I was like, bring
it on, Like at this point, I'm ready for it. But then
COVID happened. And so when COVIDhappens, you know, we've been talking
about this on the show for alittle bit, you know, like Warner
Brothers. They mentioned that they werejust going to drop all the movies,
all the big premiere movies on HBOMax at the same time as as theaters,

(10:33):
and everyone's just like downlod movie theaters, and I'm like, well,
hold on one second, I'm okaywith seeing some films on HBO Max.
But there are certain films that isjust going to be robbed if you just
kind of put it on HBO Max. And this is one of those films
that falls under that category. Ihave no desire to watch this film on

(10:54):
my cell phone. I have nodesire to watch this film on my television
set. I want to watch thisin theaters. I want to see the
boom. I want to see theaction. I want to see the explosion.
I want to see the spectacle.I don't care if I'm in a
theater by myself. I'm going todo it in that in theaters. So
right, watching this trailer kind ofwas an affirmation that, yeah, I'm

(11:15):
definitely interested in going through this processin theaters. I'm looking forward to it.
Yeah, definitely. And I agreewith you And just going back on
what you guys were saying about likeKing of Monsters being you know, like
this love letter and all this stuff. I do remember being somewhat critical and
probably too critical when we did ourGodzilla versus I mean, Godzilla King of

(11:37):
the Monster's review a while a fewepisodes ago, but I've since watched it
a few more times after that, and I'm just like, you know what,
this film is a great time andI'm just ready for this movie now.
And I and as much as Iwould love to see it in a
theater, you know, big screenspeakers blasting everything, I still think it's

(12:00):
going to be a good time onthe smaller screen really, and as long
as I get to watch it,I think it's going to be fantastic.
So I very much understand the convenienceand the requirement of having to have something
on a small screen because of COVID, but I'm going to have to agree
with Jase here that there is goingto be part of the experience lost.
When I saw a King of theMonsters in theaters and I felt every hit,

(12:24):
I felt every screen, like thatis an experience that that really I
want to feel Like I saw Pacificrim Imax three D. That was hot
time that will forever be like cementedinto my brain. Part of why I
got into filmmaking in the first placewas because you go to the theater,
you see this big spectacle, thesound, along with a screen larger than

(12:46):
any television or computer screen, andit's just it is an experience. And
I feel I do understand that samekind of confliction, you know, with
cong versus God's because you are gonnamiss parts of those hits unless you have
like a full on like surround soundsystem or like a full home theater setup.

(13:09):
I feel like something definitely might belost there. That's sad. I
still think it'll be a fun timenow. Dune, on the other hand,
now that's that's a totally different storyanyway, that is a totally different
story, right. But yeah,no, I agree with that one percent,
Like I would. I want tosee this in the theater absolutely,
because I was actually reminded earlier today. It never fails. We always have

(13:33):
to talk about Marvel in some wayor another. I was hoping somebody,
Yeah, somebody linked to me avideo. They were like, hey,
have you seen this before? Andit's a it's a really old video at
this point. Um, it's theyou know, reactions of crowd reactions from
the endgame theater, and like youknow, you hear people screaming and cheering

(13:54):
and doing all this stuff, andI I had this like one single goal
tier like damn, I really misslike the theater experience, and especially with
what you're saying, like just hearinganything everything feeling everything and just watching that
big spectacle that you just said onthat big screen, Like I missed that

(14:16):
and I want to go back tothat so badly. And I feel like,
if you know, in a perfectworld, if everything was back to
normal, this would be the moviethat I would absolutely be front row center.
Well not front row obviously, butI would be right there at the
theater to go watch this movie.Ready for it. Sadly we're not gonna

(14:37):
get that, but yes, Istill can't wait for it. I still
would love to see this movie nomatter what capacity. I have a decent
TV, I have a decent soundsystem, so I mean it'll be okay.
I would I really wish I didhave like some type of surround sound
at this point in time though. But the actual film, you know,
the actual shots themselves, Like whatdid you think of the trailer? Like

(14:58):
did you you like what you seethat? You? Are you hyped for
it? Like what's going on?What are we thinking? Jimmy looks gorgeous.
I'm super riped for it. Um, I'm I'm kind of curious to
see where they go with story becauseobviously aesthetically looks great, but the story,
and I mean big malsters punching eachother. I don't need much of

(15:18):
a story there to enjoy it,but but I do like at least something
there. And I'm a little bitconcerned about who they're going to decide wins
it. There's been rumors here andthere that they might make Hong wit,
which I don't know how I wouldfeel about that if they decided to go

(15:43):
that route. But we'll see howit turns out. I mean, Okay,
what about you, Jason, youknow, yeah, I think I
think we're thinking the same thing.Yeah, I don't. I don't feel
like I don't know, I do. I've heard that same notion that Kong
is gonna win, or he's gonnabe the underdog, so he's the one

(16:04):
that's gonna win. But there's somethingabout that trailer. I'm always I'm always
very silent because I don't want topredict the ending of movies. I know
some people are obsessed with it.They're like they look at these shots and
they say, well, like theseare definitely going to be in there,
and these are fake or these arejust for the purposes of the trailer.
I'm like, I don't really care, Like the trailer is just you know,

(16:26):
a hook to get you interested ina movie. Josh knows this very
very well, you know, inregards to, you know, the popular
movies that come out from Marvel.I watched a teaser trailer, I watched
the regular trailer, and then that'sit. I just I just stopped because
I don't need to know anymore.I have a feeling, though, and
I don't know. I think partof me hopes that I'm correct, but

(16:49):
a part of me hopes that it'sa draw. It's a tie because there
is another bigger, deeper, morescarier threat where they have to up and
then they defeat that monster together andthen they go their own separate ways.
Well, there's there's definitely an extrathreat. So even from that trailer,
so things that people who aren't likebig Godzilla fans probably wouldn't recognize is one

(17:15):
in the background shot of one ofthe shots in the trailer camera which one,
there's like a big screen with likea bunch of schematics on it,
and part of those schematics are thingsthat directly correlate to Meca Godzilla. So
it's very likely that there's Meca Godzillain it. Plus I think there was
another shot in the trailer that someonehad slowed down and you almost see like
the red glowing eyes with the missilescoming through the city and blowing things up.

(17:37):
Yeah, that's also a very MecaGodzilla thing to do. So they
might both be going up against MecaGodzilla. We don't know, we'll see.
I mean, if they do,that'd be that'd be awesome. But
I mean, I yeah, Imean the trailer itself is fantastic. I
just the detail on Godzilla and oncong like the CGI is just on point.

(17:57):
I feel in this movie so farfrom what we've seen. But yeah,
that was what Jimmy, what yousaid about like being concerned about the
story and stuff like that, thatwas actually my original complaint about King of
the Monsters. I was like, yeah, I like seeing these monsters fight
and all that, but I'm like, I'm not really I don't really care

(18:18):
about the story, and they keepkind of going back to it. But
then again in subsequent views, I'mjust like, Okay, I don't need
this deep, deep story, butthis is good enough to keep things rolling.
It's keep things like going. SoI as long as they continue that
trend where it's like, okay,we're not going to focus too too much
on these guys. We're gonna focuson calling Godzilla kind of like they did

(18:40):
with King of the Monsters, likeI feel like they'll it'll be it'll be
fine. And the other thing thatI really really enjoyed about the trailer,
they didn't pull any punches like theydid exactly what like the Batman trailer did,
and like, you know, rightthen, you know cong's about to
go for a swing, and inany other trailer like that's where they would
cut and go to another, youknow, another shot, but no,

(19:03):
they kept it going, and Iwas like, that's what I want to
see. People, Like they knewpeople were waiting for this, so they
were just like, you know what, here it is and just seeing that
showdown and just seeing that, andit looks like they're going to fight a
few times, So it's not goingto be just like one fight at the
beginning, one fight the end,and then whatever. It looks like they're
gonna be fighting a few times. So I'm personally excited about that too.

(19:25):
Now back to your point about Kingof the Monsters, Like I'm I'm gonna
say, like I should be exemptfrom ever having to give King of the
Monsters A rating because I was areally, really big fan of Godzilla Versus
King of Dora from nineteen ninety fourninety five around there. Don't quote me
on years, I'm bad at that, but Godzilla Versus King of Dora was

(19:48):
my favorite movie for a very verylong time, and I always wanted the
dream of like seeing King of Dora, who was literally my favorite kaiju of
all time, on the big screen. So when I saw Godzilla King of
the Monsters and I the King Adraon the screen for like the first time
in my entire existence, and it'sawesome, and like I'm crying and I'm
just like, oh my god, this is everything that little me ever dreamed

(20:10):
of. Like that for me putsthat movie like super high in my brain.
So like any flaws in that film, my brain just like, let's
edit that out. We're not here, We're not We're not going to think
about that right now. So that'sthat's kind of And with cong versus Godzilla
or godzillavers Are Kong, I don'tknow which way they did it. I

(20:32):
don't have it up right now. It's it's it's Godzilla versus cong Okay,
So if god Zilla versus Kong.I remember watching the original Godzilla Versus King
Kong, and I remember it beinghilariously campy and fantastic, So they can
really only go up from there.Yeah, that's true. That's true.
Yeah, but nonetheless, I'm reallyexcited. Speaking of the title, I

(20:53):
just noticed something very interesting. So, um, I was just searching the
release date because I couldn't remember whenit was coming out, which, by
the way, it comes out Marchthirty first, something to be max.
But so, the official name ofthis movie is Godzilla Versus Colm. The
original movie is King Kong Versus Godzilla. Yeah, so they flipped it.
I think they do that for veryspecific reasons. Yeah, I was gonna

(21:15):
say, I'm wondering if they didthat, because I would assume back in
nineteen sixty three, King Kong waslike a more marketable than Godzilla in the
West, at least, so I'mwondering if that's why they put his name
first. But now everyone knows Godzilla, so they put his name first.
I don't know that that makes sense, that could be part of it.
I just think that's interesting. Itis, but you also have to remember,

(21:38):
like it's we're in twenty twenty onenow, so there's a ton of
movies that exist right now, andit's almost impossible to have an original title.
So you'll notice sometimes like if theydo like going right back to Marvel,
you know, there's the Avengers,it's not the Avengers, it's Marvels

(22:00):
the Avengers. But you'll notice alsothat if it's Doctor Strange, it's Doctor
Strange twenty sixteen, it's because thereis another film called Doctor Strange and it's
from a different ear, So there'sa little tiny nuances there. So if
there is god Della versus Kong, and before they had a film where they
had those two characters, it wouldjust be easier for them to just flip

(22:22):
the title around, so that wayit's just a unique title. Sure,
I make exit. I could seethey can understand that. Yeah, and
Astros sit aside. To go backto what I was talking about before with
trailer music, I got confused.I apologized now. I was getting confused
with World of Imagination, the trailersong that was on Ready Player one.

(22:48):
I got that confused with Claire Duloonthat was in Godzilla King of Monsters,
because they both have that that thatwonderful, beautiful type of melo and I
conflated the two, so I apologizenow, Claire to Loon is what I
was talking about. But that song, I think that came out for Comic

(23:10):
Con. I think that one justreally grabbed my attention. I was just
like, you know, I meanwhatever, you're you know, Jimmy,
he said the same thing that Isaid, where you know, you're watching
a monster movie, so the plotis going to be relatively thin. So
for me, like, these thingsusually don't bother me too much. Like
I know that I paid money towatch monsters fight on the screen and destroy

(23:34):
cities. So I'm like, I'malready like I'm already sold. You just
have to make that happen, Andlike I'm okay with scaling back the story
because it doesn't necessarily have to makesense. So you know how it happens
and why Godzilla seems to be actingout of character. I'm sure there's a

(23:55):
reason, or you know, afreighter you know, hit a bank and
destroyed one of Godzilla's only children.You know, I don't know, I
don't know what's going to happen,but I'm kind of glad that I don't
have to make up that story becauseit's gonna be paper thin and it's cool,
man, it's really cool. Soa lot of the older Godzilla films
also had like very flimsy stories orplot points that didn't make any sense whatsoever,

(24:22):
and so to me, it almostjust feels like an extension of that
where it's like the plot doesn't matter, we know what you're here for.
Like take my favorite Godzilla versus KingAdora, you know, from like nineteen
eighty four, nineteen eighty five.I really should look that up. But
with Godzilla versus King Adora, likeyou've got these people from the future that
came back in time to stop Kingadora. But wait, they're not trying to

(24:45):
stop Kingadoora. They're trying to bringMecca Kingadora onto the scene. But wait,
Dora. Kingadora was actually made fromdora ats, which came from the
future but are now in the past, which now exists in the present.
And wait, we have a robotthat kind of looks like Rimmor from Red
Dwarf, but it's not Rumor fromRed Root, and he's trying to kill
everybody. Oh wait, there's Goddelivers King Door. Wait Godzilla wants to

(25:07):
still kill people. Wait, what'sgoing on here? Like it's a mess
of a story, right, butit's so much fun and it like captivated
young me, and like I neverreally put too much attention to it.
Like Godzilla versus Megalon, that's anotherone where it's like, oh, this
is bad, but it's so muchfun, especially because godzilliversus Megalon. They

(25:27):
bring in Jet Jaguar, who islike a fan favorite at this point amongst
Kaiju fans because he's like a bigrobot guy that grows really big, which
is very tokusatsu, which is thewhole genre. I think this is what
a lot of people had to sayabout Pacific Rim, the first movie.
In the sequel, I mean,Pacific Rim by all means, should have

(25:48):
been bad, but they put alot of great work into it. They
casted really good actors, and youknow, they delivered this wonderful movie that,
as I always stands to test thetime. And then to go from
that to the sequel where everything looksvery cartoony and the story, I'm like,

(26:10):
no, I don't think it downgraded. I think that's the standard.
I think you got something fantastic thatwas against the grain and is rare,
Like I think normalizing that would beout of the ordinary, because Pacific Rim
the sequel is the normal. Like, I'm okay with that, right,

(26:33):
and it's just going to be thatcampy movie that came out after Pacific Rim.
It's okay. I had to Ihad to shut off every bone in
my body to watch the sequel toPacific Rim because to me, like Pacific
Rim was a movie that was madespecifically for me, like jermal Lit Toro
probably was like looking at my dreams, reading my diaries and he's like,

(26:55):
all right, Jenny wants this movie. We're gonna make this movie just for
him. And then the sequel comesout, and the sequel's not bad.
So like the sequel to me,feels like a lot of anime sequels where
the first tic is like really great, and then the second anime or the
sequel to it is serviceable, butit's a little bit more what you would

(27:18):
expect, more mainstream, and that'snot bad, but it doesn't really jive
with what I got out of theoriginal Pacific Rim. With me, for
the original Pacific Rim, I'm gettingout like this, Oh, this is
just the world that they have builtmakes sense and it's fun, but it's
not too far and then with thenext one, it's like everything just kind
of like seemed like they were tryingto push it too far and it just

(27:41):
didn't work right for me, itdidn't work. I don't think that it's
a the worst movie on the planet, no, I've seen those. No.
I just think that it's I haveto agree it is the normal,
that is the average film, butit just doesn't work as part of the
Pacific Rim stuff, right. That'sthere's a Pacific Rim anime that's going to

(28:03):
be coming out on Netflix within thenext couple of months, and it's done
by the same studio that did theBlam anime and a couple other anime and
so hopefully that's good. So we'llsee. They're also making a Godzilla anime
and I'm excited for that too.Oh yeah, nice, it's gonna be
awesome too. By the way,Jimmy, Godzilla Versus King Gadura came out

(28:26):
in December fourteenth, nineteen ninety one. Originally, Wow, it's been older
than I thought. I mean Isaw it on VHS and I was like
small, so I don't know.I was born in like ninety two.
So so yeah, so we're allexcited for Godzilla versus cong Yeah, I'm
kind of in the mood to rewatchthe nineteen ninety eight Gods of the movie

(28:48):
again, Like I just want tosee how bad it is. I just
want to see it. It is. It is so I mean, it's
directed by the same person that didIndependence Day, Roland Emeric. It has
every aspect of a disaster movie thatyou would want, and it's got every
like, you know, blank characterthat you can imagine, a main character

(29:11):
that has these quips, that saysthings that don't really mean anything but they
seem smart. You've got that generalthat's a complete a hole. You've got
like every stereotype that you can imagineis in the film. You've even got
the foreign guy that like is nowa part of like a different army trying
to find out things about Godzilla. That is so generic, and to me

(29:33):
that makes it even more fun becauseit's like you've got these generic action destruction
movie characters and instead of it beingnormal destruction, you're just like, well,
let's let's give it like a weirdGodzilla monster. Let's just like throw
that in there, and the dynamicis hilarious, Like Matthew Broderick being Matthew

(29:55):
Broderick with Godzilla does not work. It's great, it is great, and
like I'm actually, I'm actually,I'm low key kind of sad that they
never went ahead with the sequel becausethe sequel would have been against all of
like the baby Godzillas and what thatwould have entailed. I am I am

(30:21):
surprised that they didn't because I don'tknow how unsuccessful or successful it was,
but I do remember it being verymuch talked about when it came out.
Oh yeah, I mean to me, to me, the sequel was the
animated series, and that is probablythe one I would say legitimately good thing
about that movie that it brought aboutthat animated series that came out around the

(30:45):
same time, because yeah, thatanimated series was absolutely amazing. I'm actually
curious because I know we have somemore monster things to talk about moving from
film to games, but I'm actuallyvery curious as make that transition on what
Godzilla actually did. On Rotten toTomatoes. Tomatoes which one the twenty sixteen

(31:08):
or nineteen eight it sits at asexy fifteen percent and the audience score is
who want to take a guest,Josh, is it nine? No it's
hire oh hi, okay, uh, look, you know what, let's
go with twenty oh close. Youknow why. I may have watched it

(31:33):
again last year. But anyway,it's yeah, it's terrible. It absolutely
is a terrible movie by any means. But I mean at the time that
people, I mean, I believeit did well. I believe it did
well. I think like many Godzillamovies that aren't like the main one Godzilla
movie, it just kind of fallsin the same realm of that. Oh,

(31:56):
it's slightly campy. It's it toa degree. It almost fits like
an American Tokusatsu canon. So doeskind of work if you look at it
with like, ah, this isjust good fun kind of eye right right,
But if you're trying to critique amovie, it's trash. And that's

(32:20):
okay to like trash movies. Whowere allowed to like trash movies? Oh,
I love trash movies. Trash moviesare fantastic. Yeah, there may
be one trash movie we're gonna betalking about in the near future. Anyway,
moving on from one Kaiju to manyKaijus that you have to hunt from

(32:44):
what I understand, Jimmy, wouldyou like to tell us about the series
known as Monster Hunter Boy would INo So? Monster Hunter is a long
running Japanese game series made by Capcomwhere you hunt monsters. It is about
as simple of a game as itgets. There is one goal, hunt

(33:07):
this monster that you get to hunt. There for the longest time, wasn't
really a story in any of thegames. There was kind of a loose
framework and it wasn't until like itwasn't until recently that they started to like
really focus on any kind of narrative, and even then it's like very thin.
But it is all about the gameplay. It's all about the fun.

(33:30):
So it is a hunting game. You go and you try and fight
these big monsters within a time limitusually fifty minutes. You get to use
any weapon you want, any armoryou want, within the confines of what
the game has, and there arefourteen weapons to choose from. I personally
like to use the big sword becauseI get to whack things with it.

(33:52):
All the weapons have crows, allthe weapons have cons to them. There's
a lot of good balance between everything. No one weapon is better than the
other. It depends on what yourplay style is, and every weapon does
have a unique playstyle. To it, and even within those unique play styles,
there's a unique way to play withinthose playstyles. What makes it very

(34:13):
interesting is when you fight these monsters, there's no health bar. You don't
see how much health these monsters haveleft. Instead, you have to look
at how the monster is reacting orinteracting. Is the monster low on stamina?
Oh, it's like moving really slow. Its moves are easier to telegraph
it's flying away, obviously it needsto replenish it's stamina. Or if it's

(34:34):
close to death, it starts tolimp away, and you're like, all
right, obviously this monster is closeto death. Let's like take it out
and things on the monster break andthere's different other cues that the monster is
getting low in health. But likeeach round is very much around. Some
monsters go all the way to thatfifty minute limit, you know, trying
to take them down because your gearis not strong enough or it's just very

(34:54):
strong, and then other monsters it'slike a little bit easier, you know,
to take them down within like fiveto ten minutes. And that ended
up being the main appeal of thegame is the fact that you are hunting
these monsters and they feel like they'reliving, breathing monster within this ecosystem that
poses a very real threat. Mall right. Interesting. So the new

(35:19):
game that's coming out on the Switch, it's called Monster Hunter Rise, correct.
Yeah, So Monster Runter Rise iscoming out on the Switch. It
is a part of the fifth generationof games that includes Monster Rential World an
Ice Born, and it is consideredthe portable title. So previously in the
Monster Rutter games, you would havea main title done by the A team

(35:40):
and then a portable title done bythe B team. At the beginning,
this was on the PSP, andthen when they moved to Nintendo, they
stopped doing the B team making gamesjust like that and was a little bit
different. For instance, in thepast, you had Monstrutter one and two
on the ps two, and thenon the PSP you had Monstrunter Portable one
also on its Freedom one in theWest, and Portable two known as Freedom

(36:02):
to Here, and then there's gslash extra versions to those. But when
it went to Nintendo, the teamskind of switch it up. Monster Just
three did have Monstrunter three Portable comeout on the PSP, but then there
was a split with Sony at thetime, so they didn't want to do
that, so then they made MonsterRunter four on a portable console. So

(36:22):
the portable team didn't really make anythinguntil the anniversary title Monster Unter x Slash.
Generations in the West, got ItNow they're back to doing what seems
to be a main title and aportable title within a generation. So we're
on generation five, like I said, and interests not just generation five,
but this is also a change ingame engine, so it's it's kind of

(36:43):
wonky where it falls. Has generationfive mechanics along with brand new mechanics we
haven't seen, but also a completelydifferent game engine than what was previously used
in the other games. Got itinteresting? So in terms of generation,
so this is generation five, itstarted on the PS two era, correct,
Yeah, so it started in twothousand and four on the PS two

(37:06):
with the first title, Conster Hunter, and it was part of their initiative
designed games for like online play andwhatnot, and that was one of the
first ones. Got it interesting.I've always heard about the Monster Hunter series
and I've always seen like gameplay ofit. When I was younger, I
heard, you know, I heardabout the series and for whatever reason,

(37:27):
do you remember an anime called Monsterranch Yeah, so I used to get
Monster Hunter and Monster Rancher, likeconfused. I thought that was the same
thing, and I was like,oh, I want to play that game
because like I saw I saw theanime or whatever, and I'm like,
I want to be into that. And then I finally realized what it actually
is, and I'm kind of like, oh, well, maybe I don't

(37:51):
want to play it. So likeit's always like interested me, but I've
never like made that jump, andespecially back in the day, I didn't.
I wasn't really into like RPGs oranything as much as I am now.
So when you know, you've saidthat you want to be on the
show, and I was like, all right, definitely, let's come on
on and everything. I went aheadand tried the demo for a Rise,

(38:15):
and then I played that for alittle bit, and at first the controls
to me were a little wonky,But I guess it's like that with any
new game that you try to getinto, right, you kind of first
try to get use of the controlsand everything of that nature. But once
you got into it, and thenwhen you were talking about a few moments
ago about you know, sometimes thesemonsters can take like fifty minutes and the

(38:36):
demo, I felt like I wasn'ttaking this thing down, but it had
only been like maybe five minutes orso, and I was kind of like,
am I doing something wrong? Isthere something that I'm supposed to be
doing? And then maybe like twentyminutes in, I finally was able to
take it down and I was like, okay, So I just I was
doing what I needed to do.It just took a decent amount of time

(38:57):
to bring it. So it isinteresting now having played it and all that
stuff, and I don't know ifI would continue per se. I might.
We kind of talked a little bitbefore the episode that it was a
limited release demo that we found out. If they do come out with another
one, I would really like totry it one more time before diving in

(39:22):
completely. But I feel like itis something that I could get into.
And Monster Hunter World was the onethat came out on PS four and PC
recently right as well, or likewhat is it two years ago now something
like that? Yeah? Yeah,so I know, right, yeah,

(39:44):
So I know a lot of peoplewere really really excited about that, and
I almost jumped on that one aswell, So I might kind of trickle
back into that because I've seen afew people play Monster in the World and
they seem to enjoy a lot.I've seen like on Twitch and just play
throughs here and there. Monster HunterWorld is a great jumping endpoint because as
far as the series' is sessibility,Monster Hunter World is like a great starting

(40:07):
point for newcomers because there was abunch of quality of life changes in Monster
Hunter World, and because the monsterroster isn't so intensely big, it makes
it easier to kind of ease intoand understand the mechanics and whatnot. Okay,
um, Jas, what do youknow about Monster Hunter? And honestly,

(40:30):
I was interested in getting the demo. I didn't realize it was going
to be a limited release. Iknow a few people that have played it
and they raved about it, ButI don't know if I ever them raving
about it ever made me interested. But I had to say, Jimmy,
the way you just explained it tome just now actually is very intriguing.

(40:50):
So, um, I know themovie is. Has it come out already?
Yeah? Yeah, the movie cameout at the end of last year
in Yeah, that's what I thought, And Mila Djovivic is in it.
Who is you know, very knownfor the Resideval you know, movie series,

(41:14):
which is interesting because I played afew Resideval games and I did watch
a few movies, and those gamesand movies never seemed to quite aline And
I was looking at it after likethe Resideval series finally was finished, and
I wasn't even aware that they madeso much of those movies. But I

(41:37):
digress. I was interested in seeingthat movie, but I guess I completely
forgot that that movie came out.So as for playing the actual game,
I have not actually played a game. I don't think I've ever seen like
a trailer for it. I justknow that those games kind of exist,
and you know, maybe this willbe the game that actually gets me into

(42:01):
all of it. Yeah. Oneof the things about Monsters that people tend
to get frustrated by very early onis it's not exactly what most people expect
going into it. I mean itis, it's exactly what it says.
It's like probably the most non lyingto you game series with its title You

(42:22):
Hunt Monsters. But I think alot of people go into the game thinking
that it's going to be more ofa traditional RPG or action RPG where you
do see the monster health bars, where there's all these things that you can
do to take the monster down, where you level up, and this is
not a game where you do anyof that. You don't level up.
You can get new armor and craftthings, but also you can get so

(42:45):
skilled at the game that you cantake down a big monster using the starting
weapon and no armor whatsoever. Youcan do anything within the confines of the
game and basically get away with it. And that's kind of what makes it
interesting. It's very skill based,so like it's you get better as you
play, and it starts you offpretty easily. And I think because my

(43:07):
fiance also plays. When I gother into it, you know, I
started her off like, all right, let's start you off, which weapons
you want to use? And whenshe played through the game, she got
progressively better and better and better asyou go. It really is a practice
makes perfect kind of game that's awesome. Which was which a game where you
introduced to the series is with theoriginal Yeah, I was introduced to the

(43:29):
series with Monster in Tron the PStwo and I hated it. I understand
that. So Monster in Tron thePS two you attack with the joystick controller
I think the right. Yeah,so you attack with the right analog stick
and it is very want to controls, and I was like, I'm not

(43:53):
here for this, so I likeput it down and shoved it away for
a while. I maybe got toRathle so that I get pretty decently far
as far as the story campaign went, and I was like, I can't,
I can't do this. This isjust pain true, absolute same.
So I decided, all right,I'm gonna put this away. So like

(44:14):
a year passes and I get aPSP for my birthday or for Christmas for
my grandmother because my Grandma's like,do you want an iPad or a PSP?
And I'm like, I want aPSP please. And my friend,
also, my best friend, alsogot a PSP. So I'm like,
hey, we should totally find multiplayergames to play, and she was like,

(44:36):
well, I found this game calledMonster Hunter. We should totally check
it out. It looks like youhunt big monsters and I'm like, does
that sound familiar? I can nevernever cross my mind until I, like,
you know, I go home afterthat day and I look, I'm
like, oh, it's like thatgame. And so I'm like, oh,
well, you know, maybe it'sgonna be different. There's no dual
analog control, so they had toadapt it somehow, and like, sure

(45:00):
enough, on the PSP, thecontrols were much better. You attacked with
like triangle and circle as opposed tolike the joystick, and everything just felt
a little bit natural. And thatwas when I really started to get into
it. So her and I wouldjust constantly play like NonStop, you know,
the Monster Hunter Freedom, which wasthe PSP one. We played to
death, Monster Runter Freedom too.We just like that was our life.

(45:25):
Like there was a monster in MonsterHunter that we had, just this big
wall we could never get past lauschenLoom literally just this big giant dragon and
we had tried to beat it andwe couldn't beat it. And then like
on the day that my girlfriend atthe time breaks up with me, and
Sophie's like, you know what weshould do, We should kill a big

(45:45):
monster, and like we went inand we just took it down. We
finally took it down for the firsttime. Like it was just a lot
of fun. Sure, and thenI decided I wanted to backtrack, So
that's when I played Monster Hunter oneagain more accustomed with like the game as
a whole, I got used tothe joystick control. I went and saw

(46:05):
Monster In two was never coming tothe United States, so I bought the
Japanese version and I played that.So I played three Monster and two and
it had the joystick controls still, but the environments were much more engaging.
It was gorgeous to play. Itwas still PS two, so I mean,
like, probably looking back at screenshots, it's not as gorgeous as I
thought it was, but you know, it was like this step up and

(46:28):
then they had monsters that I hadlike just started to blow my brains out.
And then Monster inter Reportable two Gcomes out and I have to get
that. Monster three comes out,I get that, and like so on
and so forth. I am attachedto this game at the hip. No
matter where it comes out, howit comes out, I am going to
sim hard for it, and I'mgoing to show out large amounts of cash

(46:50):
to like try and get any versionI can of it, because that's that's
where I'm at this point. Basicallysaved my life. That's awesome. I
love it. Yeah, yeah, please, Now I was gonna say I
just love it whenever, you know, for anything, not even just games,
Like anybody has like that sort ofpassion for a series, or passion

(47:12):
for what they do or what theyplay and stuff like that. It's really
cool when you have when you tiesomething to something that you know it impacted
your life essentially. Um So it'salways great to hear like those type of
those type of situations for sure. But I definitely would love to get into
it a lot more, and youknow how I might have the chance to

(47:36):
do so. Um if not withthis one again, maybe try with with
a Monster Hunter online for sure.Yeah, Like if you do decide to
jump into it with either Rise ormonths Runter World, I would love to
play with you World. I wouldn'tmind, wouldn't mind playing with more people
than just myself. Definitely. I'dprobably get the I probably get the PC

(48:00):
version. You know what, whilewe're talking there, let's just see how
much it is on Steam currently.Yeah, it's on Steam and the PC
version is the one I primarily play. I kind of let my PS four
one die and maxed out myself onthe PC. That's fair. It is
currently I'm seeing thirty dollars. Itis thirty dollars fifty for the Deluxe or

(48:25):
for Iceborn Digital Deluxe. Okay, that may be happening, that may be
happening in a future in a futuretime. It was cool though, I
will say, like just seeing likeall the different types of monsters, like
the trailers playing right now, thishuge dragon dude just came out. It's
great. I like it visually,I mean, the game is impressive.

(48:47):
May mean I gotta say it likeI don't. Maybe it should be a
weird way to like advertise date. But the way you explained your experience with
the game made me very interested inthis game. So I thank you for
sharing that story because I don't know, it just took me back and like,

(49:07):
where was I when the PS twocame out? Where was I when
you know, the sequel came out? And I was just like, and
I'm seeing I'm matching the time frameswhen when the games came out, and
how you got into it and whyI just, I guess never connected with
it. But the way that youexplained it to me now it just made
me, you know, definitely wantsto give it a try and definitely would

(49:30):
love to you know, play, because Josh knows this and I've been very
clear about how I played games whenI grew up, I was very much
you know, into like consoles.I always played by myself. So when

(49:51):
after the PS two, like XboxLive and you know, PlayStation like,
playing games with people just didn't reallyappeal to me. It just I don't
know what it is. It justnever, I guess attracted me at all.
So I don't know, I justI always enjoyed playing in Charter that

(50:13):
played the campaign mode, and thatwas it. You know, Call of
Duty and first person shooters never didanything for me. But something is happening
now with the new console of gamings, which is multiplayer co op, which
I'm sure was something that has beenpopular. But now with the system and
you know how these games are goingto play out, it's a lot more

(50:35):
interactive where it's less competitive, it'smore cooperative. So we have games like
Gotha Knights that are coming out. There's you know, a suicide squad game
that's coming out from Rock Study,And like, now, as soon as
you told me the story, I'mlike thinking in my head, I'm like,
that would be an amazing co opexperience where I may not be that
great, but you might be.And then we're talking in real time and

(50:59):
we're attacking this monster. We haveno idea what is going to be you
know, what's going to happen, but we know we have to communicate in
such a way where we can coordinateour efforts to win. So yeah,
this is this is very fascinating tome. I mean, thank you for
taking time to explain that. Ohyeah, you're welcome. And it's very

(51:22):
much a cooperative game. However, however, it's also very very much a
solo game as well. You cansolo the entirety of Monster Unter pretty much
except for world World online stuff. They have a few events monsters that are
basically impossible Solo unfortunately does kind ofbumm me out a little bit about world,

(51:45):
but that's or here and we're there, sure. But for the most
part, you can solo basically everythingin the game if that is your inclination.
I know, I soloed most ofthe Monster Hunter games, aside from
the more recent ones in the earlyone. Everyone in between kind of had
the solo because either I had noone that had it or no one that

(52:08):
wanted to play it with me atthe time. It is a game that
can be played solo or cooperative. It is not a game that is competitive,
though you will run into people thatbelieve it is, but it's I
mean, there's always a group thatwill try to play ranked anything. So
yeah, I understand that you preferto play it as a multiplayer or solo

(52:30):
game. I used to prefer solountil my fiance really started playing with me
more, and then I definitely preferto play it multiplayer because after my best
friend basically stopped playing it because lifecircumstances are a thing that happened, it
was basically just solo. And Idon't like playing with random people online.

(52:51):
I'm kind of like an issue whenI can't see someone's face and I have
to interact with them, and itmakes it worse if I don't know somebody,
because then I don't understand like thelittle idiosyncrasies and like understand, like,
all right, so here's how thisperson works. So if I talk
to them like this, it's goingto be fine. Oftentimes I'm like over
in my head going like oh God, if I do something wrong, like
how mad are They're going to beat many kind of situation. So I

(53:14):
like to play with people I eitherknow or solo. Okay, Okay,
yeah, I mean, I'm I'minterested especially again with the just like Jase
has been saying, with the waythat you've been kind of giving us the
whole ordeal of it, like I'minterested to pick it up now more than
ever before. So thank you forgiving us all of that. Do you

(53:37):
know, like you've been sitting heretalking about like your favorite games, like
your favorite this would you can saythis your favorite game series? I would
have to say that definitely, Monstrunchwould would be considered my favorite game series.
I have a few that come toa close second. Okay, well
what is that close second? Theclose second would definitely be like Final Fantasy,
which I'm I'm a huge, hugefan Final Fantasy and the whole host

(54:02):
of JRPG's for that matter. Andof course Elder Scrolls, Well, there
you go, that's another one thatyou know what Elder Scrolls is actually my
two of my really really good friendswhen we had when we first got our
PS four is, I believe triedto do other Scrolls online. I just
I just couldn't get into it.We played for I don't know a few

(54:24):
hours, and that was just aseries that or that game I guess particularly
just never got into it, andthen I never played Skyrim even though it's
available on everything from you know,I'm sure there's gonna be a toaster one
day that I'll be able to runSkyrim, but who knows. But yeah,
I just never got into that. But the reason I asked, like,

(54:45):
you know what your favorite game seriesis? And Jase, you're gonna
go next on this one is becauseI just want to talk about what our
favorite series are. We've kind ofhinted at it before just Jason, are
just me and Jase, But nowthat we have you Jimmy on here and
you're talking about Monster Hunter and howpassionate you are with that and how Final
Fantasy we talked a little bit aboutthat before um that we started recording,

(55:07):
Jason, what's your what's your favoriteplaying video game series? Like if you
had if I had to tell you, if you had to tell me right
now, like I had a gunpoint into your head, tell me what
your favorite game series is? Whatwould you tell Why is it so violent?
Why does it have to video gamescause violence? Don't you know that?
Uh? Oh man? Um,honestly, there's there's a few,

(55:31):
um, because yeah, I meanI've been playing games for a while.
Um, but the one neck he'spopping up in my head is probably Kingdom
Hearts, just because a simple conceptsomehow ballooned into virtually like ten games or
ten plus games, and apparently ithas no sign of stopping. And I'm

(55:53):
kind of glad that they're not.You know, I wonder now that you
know three is out, what wheredo they go from here? Because there
is an appeal that is to besaid with final fantasy, like characters meeting
Disney characters in their worlds. Andyou know now that those stories, those

(56:15):
respective stories are done, you can'trepeat them. So where do you go
from here? You know? Howdo you keep that interesting? How do
you like? Can Kingdom Hearts surviveon its own without I don't want to
say piggybacking because piggybacking doesn't seem likea fair word to use. But can

(56:36):
you have the Kingdom Heart series beas fun as engaging with just the characters
by themselves? The characters certainly havegrown, I certainly have, But can
it continue? I want to know? I mean, I feel like we
will know because I'm sure there's nothere's no stopping that game. Did you
pick up Melodi of Memories the latestone. No, but I played the

(56:58):
demo several times. Yeah, wetalked about that demo. Did you play
that, Jimmy. So I amof relative newcomer to the Kingdom Hearts series,
okay, Um. I was neverreally raised on like Disney and stuff.
My mom was very anti Disney forone reason or another, so I
didn't really have too much exposure tothings like that, plus the anti video

(57:22):
game things and sure it it becamekind of a mess. So I only
recently have decided to play Kingdom Hearts. I'm currently on Kingdom Hearts two,
but I've already played one Rechain ofMemory. I'm sorry, played the question

(57:43):
I know. I went and straightfound the cut scenes. And then the
other one I played was three somethingover Something The Weird Days over two,
which is another one. I wasjust like, I'm just gonna go find
the cut scenes. Yeah, andthen Birth by Sleep, which really enjoyed.

(58:07):
And now I'm on two m soI've been playing through two. I
had to take a break though, because I had just I played all of
those within like this fan of twoweeks. Oh wow, that's awesome.
So so I'm like halfway through tworight now. But I'm really I'm like

(58:29):
super enjoying the series and loving ita lot. The first game, I
was having difficulties because I'm not soused to like this is gonna be like
borderline heresy. But I don't playlike Monster Hunter is the only game that
I play where like the challenge isokay. Otherwise, like I play games

(58:50):
on easy mode because I'm not like, I'm not like a full fledged gamer
like a lot of other people,Like you won't see me being like all
right, I play this game onlike Epic Mega Death mode. I don't
know, no, Like I'm oneof those people are like if it's a
story game, especially JRPG's, I'mlike, I want to play it on
easy. I want to enjoy thestory. Maybe later I'll go back and

(59:13):
do something with it. And inKingdom Hurts, I was told, hey,
you should do it on normal, and I was like, all right,
I'll do it on normal. Idid like Final Fantasy remake on normal
and that was fine. So Iplayed on normal and like I can't get
anywhere I get. I accidentally endup at the Tarazan level and I'm like,
I want to die. I can'tdo this. I didn't I was

(59:37):
just getting flooded by the weird monkeymonsters and I'm like, this is what
was going on here, and likeI couldn't make it through it. I
had to put it down and soI went back and when I started over
again, I was like, I'mgonna do easy this time. And even
on easy, like through the wholegame, I was fine until like that
last marathon battle and like, you'regoing against the one weird winged gargoyle a

(01:00:02):
monster yeah from the from the Phantasianmovie. No not not yeah yeah yeah.
Trend to Bog Yeah. No Anshimself was easy to me, but
trend Tobog I was getting like justwrecked because I'd get close, volcano would

(01:00:22):
go up and like, yeah,I ended up beating him because I was
just like hit and running and I'mlike, all right, I'm gonna hit,
get a back up as far asI can ye, then hit and
run. Yeah. But like thatwas the first time that I had any
difficulty, and like I said,I'm playing on easy, so like I
know that doesn't mean much, butlike for me, that meant a lot.

(01:00:44):
Yeah, But like the whole game, I was like, all right,
this is a pretty good game. It's enjoyable, Like the game plays
fun. I like the background storythat's kind of building up here. It's
pretty cool. But then like Ifinished the game and like that last cut
scene hits like right when the beatdrops and simple and clean of that last
cut scene, and I'm like bawlingmy eyes out because like every pentop emotion

(01:01:08):
in the game like just like explodedat that moment because that last cut scene
and like you will know, thisis just perfect, Like they lighted it
perfect, they hit that beat perfect. You know. Hatadakaro comes in like
all right, let's let's do this. Let's just start singing this song,
belting it out right away, andthe way that things just fall away in

(01:01:30):
the cut scene and it's just like, yeah, it's so good. And
that was why I was like atthat moment, because that before then I
was like, all right, thisis a good series. Maybe I'll play
a little bit more of it.After that cut scene, I'm like,
all right, this game is goingin the archives. I'm playing the next
one. Okay, good perfect.I love it, you love to see
it. I'm actually kind of cute. I'm actually kind of curious because I

(01:01:53):
know you said that you didn't growup with Disney when playing Kingdom Hearts,
one did that that you interested inwanting to see those films or wanting to
know more about, you know,Disney and anything that you may have missed.
So I ended up saying a lotof Disney films, especially in film
school, so I did get thatexposure and I do like quite a few

(01:02:16):
Disney films. My fiance is hugeinto Disney, so she actually took me
to Disney World, so that wasalways fun and trying and getting to see
that and experience all that was nicebecause I had only been to Disney World
before I had met her. I'donly been to Disney World once before,
and that was when my mom wentto Europe and my dad decided to take

(01:02:37):
me to Disney World for the Christmasfestival. Because my Dad's like, you're
going to Disney' and I'm like, thanks, Dad, You're wonderful. But
it had to take my mom literallygoing to Europe for that to be possible.
I feel like there's a movie idea, and so to answer the previous

(01:02:59):
way, it did make me wantto go and seek the ones that I
had and seen. Mm hm fairenough. So then Jason, your definitive
answer would be, um, KingoHeart series as your favorite good video game
franchise. Yeah. I was gonnasay Sonic, but I have to pull
back on that one because, likeI've played lots of Sonic games and they're

(01:03:20):
all pretty fantastic. Um, soI'm gonna say no, not Sonic.
I did very much enjoy uh youknow, Uncharted. Um, there's still
one more game in the series thatI have to play. Um, but
I did very much enjoy those fourgames. So two games you have to
play them. Two games, that'sright. But I don't have a PSP.

(01:03:44):
I mean, you can borrow mineif you want, Just come on
up. Thanks. Yeah, Iappreciate that. Um. Yeah, so
mine. Um, it's actually alsoa PS two series. Um. I
consider Kingdom Heart to be a PStwo series, even though it's obviously gone
beyond that. It's a kidtier gamethat evolves into three like teenage games essentially.

(01:04:12):
So I'm talking about the Jack andDaxter series. Yes, yes,
Jacking Daxter, and it's similarly enoughto you, Jimmy. At first,
I didn't like it. Like Ihad gotten the game, the first Jacking
Daxter Precursive Legacy, I'd gotten itand as a kid. I didn't really
know like the video game developers likeI do now. So I just remember

(01:04:34):
seeing on the cover it's a NaughtyDog and I'm like, oh, I
think that's the same one that's onthe Crash Bandicoot cover that I have at
home. I guess these guys madethis too. I don't know. Let
me try it. And I playedit for about maybe fifteen twenty minutes and

(01:04:55):
I was like, no, thisis nothing like Crash Bandicoot. I want
nothing thing to do with this. And so I didn't sell it or anything.
I just kept it on the shelfand it just stayed there, and
I'm like, Nope, don't wantanything to do with this game. Flash
forward about what two years later,I think, or maybe almost three years
later, Jack two comes out andI see a trailer for it on TV,

(01:05:16):
like the one of the commercials, and you know, you see all
the shooting and like all this stuff, and I'm like, wait, are
those the same characters? Like isthat the game that I didn't like before?
But I kind of like what they'redoing here, huh. So I
went back, I played the firstone, liked it this time, and
I was like, all right, well, I immediately need to go get

(01:05:39):
two, so I got to lovetoo. To this day, Jack two
is my favorite of the original trilogy. And then right after that, I
was like, all right, theygotta make a three, and three comes
out and I love three. Stillnot as much as two, but I
just love part three. And thenof course the year after, they also
came out with Jack X Combat Racing, and I was like, this is

(01:06:00):
like the best kart racing game I'veever played. And I played CTR.
I'd played Mario Kart up to thatpoint, but I'm just like, this
is perfect. It's like Twisted Metalmeets Mario Kart. I'm like, I'm
loving this, and I bought theseries again on PS three. I just
bought them again on PS four,Like if they keep remastering these games,
like I'm just gonna keep on buyingthem because just the core series and Jack

(01:06:25):
X, I just love the wholething. And what captivates me the most
is, you know, Naughty Dogis very very well known for like their
storytelling nowadays, like you know,Last of Us and Charted, like they're
in my eyes, like their storytellingis unprecedented in the gaming space at least,
and it started with the Jack series, like that's their origins of storytelling,

(01:06:47):
and so just seeing that story unfoldand seeing what they've turned into today
that solidified me as a Naughty Dogfan, and that being my favorite series
of all time for video games atleast. I really love the Jack and
Dexter series so much. I putmany hundreds of hours into Jack two,

(01:07:08):
playing it over again, and thenJack three was just like, yes,
this is the wrap up that Iwanted exactly. I actually started with Jack
two and it comes to the Jackand Dexter because my best friend, the
same one that played Moll Trunch withme, had gotten Jack two. They're
playing. I'm like, oh,what's this. This looks really cool,

(01:07:28):
and so I started playing it andI put in so many hours and I
backtracked and played the first one.So love that game series. They're just
they're just so fun, and they'rejust so like just the comedy between and
the contract, especially in part twobetween Jack and Daxter, like Dexter just
being this wise cracking jerk all thetime and then Jack just being this brooding

(01:07:50):
like dude, like I'm gonna killeveryone, and Dexter's like I'm just gonna
be over here, having fun,Like I don't know what you're doing.
It's just so great and just allthe different things that Daxter says. It's
it's just so much fun. AndI just enjoy those games, and I
feel like that's a series that Iwill never get tired of at all,

(01:08:11):
no matter how many times I've playedit. And just like you know,
you were just saying, like Iwould put so many hours on the PS
two version of Jack two. LikeI joke and call it like Babies GTA
because it's essentially a kid version ofGrand Theft Auto. But like, like
that's what I would do, LikeI would just run around the city cause
mayhem, just steal somebody's you know, hoverbike and just go and oh god,

(01:08:36):
I think I know that map, like inside and out. It's insane.
I just love it so much. You've played them, all, right,
Jason, I have not, actually, so I know you sent me
a link stating that it was onsale. I was gonna get it,
but I haven't done it yet,so I'm wondering if it's still insane.
Got it? But this pretty muchaffirms what I had said before, which

(01:09:00):
is any series and video games andwhatever console that it is the sequel is
always going to be a leap Frogproduct. And I've seen this happen so
many times, Sonic to Sonic two. Sonic two belows Sonic one out of

(01:09:20):
the water in spades. I thinkthat's like the perfect, you know,
error defining game. You look atAssassin's Creed. The first one is I
mean pretty standard. I mean it'srunning, jumping, climbing, killing,

(01:09:41):
But then you get to Assassin's Creedtwo and you know, that game just
explodes in. You know, it'sability and what you can do. You
look at Uncharted. I mean we'vetalked about Uncharted so many times. Uncharted
is is really ambitious game that's onthe heels of like the end of tumb
Raider. So for by by anystretch, Uncharted Uncharted should not work.

(01:10:06):
But I mean it's great storytelling.Nolan North is phenomenal in this role.
And then Uncharted two comes out andit surpasses everything in every way, gameplay,
storytelling, you know, scenery andjust the places that you go.

(01:10:28):
It is just such a fun Ihave lost count how many times have played
that game. That game is phenomenal. You just saying, you know,
for this game series, Jacks twoit's essentially the same thing that you know
two was just a much better, much more enjoyable game that got you interested
in the first one. So Idon't know. Yeah, I think we

(01:10:51):
should do a study on this.Yeah, I would say so. And
for your information, yes, thesale is still ongoing on the ps on
the PlayStation Store usually forty dollars. It is fourteen seventy nine, so you
save sixty three percent and you haveuntil February eleventh to pick it up.

(01:11:13):
And it comes with Jack one, two, three, and Jack X.
I know that's what you're saying. So it is a very very good series,
and I really wish that they madeanother one, even though they technically
did, but we don't talk aboutthat game. Um. So, yeah,
it's a Jack in Daxter Lost Frontier. For anybody that doesn't know,

(01:11:36):
it's a very very bad game.It was not made by Naughty Dog.
It was made by Was it madeby Sony Bend? If I'm not mistaken
us, let's find it out.No, it was not made by Sony
Bend. It was made by HighImpact Games THESP one, right, that

(01:11:57):
is the PSP one, yeah,um, and High Impact Games. They
also did Secret Agent clank and Retchendenclank size matters. Um So sorry,
not exactly the best of things, but yeah, we don't talk about jacking
Daxter lost Frontier, but yeah, the rest of the game's top notch toppy

(01:12:20):
toppy. So this brings us toour next discussion about you know, would
you ever want to see any ofyour favorite franchises like done like a proper
remaster because this earlier this week wealso got the Mass Effect Legendary Edition announcement

(01:12:40):
where it takes Mass Effect one twothree, remasters them into um into four
K and you know, textures arenew, gameplay has been tweaked a little
bit to be made into you know, more modern kind of like you know,
everyday lifesaver type situations. Would youwant Jimmy, for example, the
original Monster Hunter remastered like with today'smodern schemes, I would probably die from

(01:13:08):
a heart attack from being so ifthey decided, like I've I've always dreamt
about it in my head because everyonealways does these supermasters and it would be
like perfect for them to do aMonster Hunter one, Monster Hunter two kind
of remaster bundle, especially because wenever got Monster Hunch or two in the
West. And if they just updatedthat gameplay and then updated the textures and

(01:13:30):
maybe fix the hit boxes a littlebit, Like they wouldn't have to do
much and like released it even onlike the switch of all things. Like
that would be just fine. Iwould just scream, have a heart attack,
come back to life, scream again, and try and wake everybody up
in the house. I guess Iwould just be way too exciting, like
I would feel out on camera.Actually, like I would feel the same

(01:13:55):
way if they remastered like Final Fantasyone, like the same treatment that they're
giving like seven for instance. One. I don't know how much you guys
know about Final Fantasy one, butFinal Fancy one is much shorter than the
other Final Fancy games. I thinkit's only about like fourteen fifteen hours long
and told of the gameplay. Butit is also one of the original Final

(01:14:15):
Fancy that actually have a Fantasy setting, which is another reason I'm kind of
excited for the fun Fancy sixteen. But if they gave that like another remake
treatment, I would be like yes, like once again, screaming heart attack,
screaming heart attack. So just thatI'm always excited for remastering. What

(01:14:36):
about you, jays I? Gotmy request answered when they made Final Fantasy
seven to remake. Because I playedFinal Fantasy seven, I think I don't
know if I had explained them theshow by history with Final Fantasy seven.
Final Fantasy seven came out. Isaw the commercial for it. I wanted

(01:14:56):
to play this game, and Ihad a friend who I finished it and
like record breaking Time is like,if you want it, it's yours.
It's like twenty bucks, and I'mlike, yeah, let's do this.
So I get the game. I'mplaying it and my brother comes into the
room. He's like, what areyou playing? And I'm playing. I'm
playing Final Places, sounding so excited. He's like, I want to play
the two and I was like, all right, do you have a memory
card? Go ahead. So Iwas making progress and my brother, would

(01:15:20):
you know, played more than Idid. And then one day I had
time, so I'm going upstairs.I start my game and I have my
memory card in the slot and itsays please insert this too, and I'm
like that doesn't make any sense. So I turned the game, you know,
the console off, I turned itback on, you know, I

(01:15:41):
pull out my memory card, Iput it back in. I loaded my
game and it says, please insertthis two, and I'm like, huh.
So I look and I see thatthe date that it was saved matches
at the time that I was notnear the console playing, you know.
So I'm like, okay. Somy brother he raced to my game.
I go to him and I saidlike, hey, I couldn't help,

(01:16:03):
but notice that you you erase mygame. And he's like, oh no,
I don't know. I didn't dothat. And I'm like, but
you're on this two. He's like, yeah, I know. I'm like,
but it's it's like just no oneelse here, It's it's it has
to be you. It's like, all right, I didn't do it.
I'm like, all right, allright, I'm clearly going around in circles.

(01:16:25):
So let me just start over.I'm sitting there, I'm getting progress
and getting progress and getting towards theend of this one. I go to
sleep. I wake up the nextday. I turned on the system and
it says, please insert this three. I said, oh my god,
oh my god. So I wentall the way back to my brother and
he's like, oh no, yeah, I didn't do that. I was

(01:16:45):
like, but you're literally finishing thegame right now. Like just nobody else.
He's like, I, I justjust you got the wrong guy,
And I said, okay, SoI had to learn to pull out my
memory card just so he didn't eraseit. But I have this love affair
with Final Fantasy seven because I knowit so intimately, Like I know everything

(01:17:09):
about mid Guard because I had toplay it so many times in order for
me to progress. So by thetime I finished it, I was very
excited, and I'd been saying, like, Final Fantasy what is it?
Final Fantasy ten came out for PlayStationtwo, and then they were making the
sequel, and I was like, what about Final Fantasy seven, Like you
need to remake that. PlayStation threecomes out, they made the tech demo.

(01:17:32):
Obviously, I was really excited becauseI thought they were going to make
an announcement nothing. And in themeantime, they made Kingdom Hearts and they
throw all Final Fantasy seven characters inthat. They made the tech demo,
nothing happened with that. They madea Final Fantasy seven Advent Children, and
I'm like, guys, what areyou doing? Like I want you to
remake the game? Can't you justdo what I asked you to do?

(01:17:54):
From the beginning. So PlayStation four, they finally made the announcement and now
it's it's here. So now thatI have it, I'm very very happy
with what I have. But Iwould love and Uncharted remake, absolutely love
it. I would like fall onthe floor. Well, I was going

(01:18:15):
to ask, do you think it'stoo early for an Uncharted remaster? But
now I realize that Charted one cameout in two thousand and seven. Yeah,
and that was like a year ortwo ago, But no, that
was that's literally over ten years agoat this point. So so the reason
why it wouldn't be is because ifyou had the game mechanics and advanced game

(01:18:38):
mechanics that you had an Uncharted fourfor Uncharted one, it would be a
very enjoyable game. The island couldbe bigger, it could be different plot
points, it could be the sameending or even a new ending, and
it would be phenomenal. And Unchartedtwo, Uncharted two with the gameplay of

(01:18:59):
Unchart started four. Are you kiddingme? That would be like a masterpiece
for you. That would be it. I think I could retire from gaming.
I would. I would fall onthe floor, weight back up,
scream, tear my shirt, passout again, taken to the hospital,
revived, start screaming again, runhome. If they made that announcement,

(01:19:19):
yes, So what I'm hearing isI need to get both of you just
twenty four seven doctor support when thesegames or if these games are ever announced,
because you will both have heart attacks. You will both scream your lungs
out and fall on the floor.I don't think I understand how much I
love Uncharted two like I love Unchartedlike. I picked up that game because

(01:19:42):
I saw the trailer into the trail, was like, all right, this
seems interesting and enough. But asI started going from level to level from
the train, going through the flashbacksand then you know, fighting in a
tower that's being shot down by youknow, a missile launcher on a helicopter,
and the train sequence and getting backto the flashbacks like it was insane,

(01:20:05):
and then you know, you finallyreached Shambala and you keep going and
I'm like, this game is amazing, and then you get the showdown with
with with the Villain, and I'mlike, this is this is the best
game ever. I have never finisheda game aside from content, and restarted

(01:20:29):
the game all over again because Iwas like, I need to play this
game again. This game is amazing. That game made me so happy.
It's such a good game. Inthe case of like Monstraumterter with me,
like I grew up with that series. That series like helped me in some
really dark times in my life becauseit was like something there, something that
would connect me with at least myfriends. Or then after that stopped being

(01:20:51):
a thing, I was already inlove with the world, and every time
then a new game came out, they would constantly try and outdo themselves from
the previous game, like they're constantlyiterating, and so it's kind of grown
with me and that kind of attachmentI have with it. It's like this
is my non human friend. Thatthis is my non human friend series,

(01:21:12):
And that's why I'd be so excitedif they went back and like remastered the
early one to that, right,It's like an old friend coming back.
Yeah, definitely, Yeah, Imean I would. I would love that
for you know, Naughty Dog oreven who did the recent Shadow of the
Colossus remaster. Was that Blue PointGames? I think it was Blue Point,

(01:21:34):
But essentially, like if they didthe remaster like they did with the
Crash series recently, like you know, updated to four K, new textures
and all this stuff, and thenyou know, just made the controls slightly
better. I think I would justgo head over heels for that remaster and
buy it immediately and just never stopplaying it. And then the only other

(01:21:58):
games that I feel like I wouldwant, like a true remaster four would
probably be the original Assassin's Creed becausethe original Assassin's Creed, like you were
mentioning earlier, Jason, the it'sjust it's good, but then you play
two and then you just see howmuch better you know it could it can

(01:22:19):
be, right, And so ifthey took the mechanics that they learned from
two from four even Black Flag, which is probably my favorite Assassins Creed game,
Like, if they did that andredid it into the original with that
remaster, with you know, theway that Valhalla looks today, I think
I would enjoy the heck out ofthat game. So yeah, I would

(01:22:40):
love to see that game also remastered, besides the Jack series, because just
I also I just really love AssassinsCreed. So I've played almost every single
one of the main lines except forone. I think there's one other thing
that I would add to the Unchartedseries that would actually make it remo.

(01:23:00):
What's that multi co op? Imean they kind of had it. M
No, they did not, Imean was it into was it into well,
they didn't have it with the story, but they had it, like
you know these little side missions thatyou can do if you're so just imagine,
okay, Uncharted one you play asa date or you could play as

(01:23:20):
Alana, where the like you andI could basically go into a mission and
we could plan how we're going togo in right or same thing and Uncharted
two and then you're going through thepall. I mean, we can actually
plan a mission together and there's noone right way to do it. Like

(01:23:42):
you can't go in guns blazing, you can go in stealth, you can
I mean, yeah, I'm tellingyou. Uncharted one through four has the
perfect a build and even the actualside game, they all have the ability
to be remastered with multiplayer co opand it would be nominal. I'd play
that absolutely. I would play thatfor sure. Man, all these talks

(01:24:05):
of games, I just want togo and just play them right after this.
But we do need to talk aboutone final thing before we top off
this episode, and it was somethingthat you just brought to our attention.
Jace. We probably talked about atthe beginning, but we all forgot about
it. So it's okay, Iforgot about it. Um, yeah exactly,

(01:24:28):
Jimmy. Are you a fan ofthe clover Field series. It's big
monsters. I'm always a big fanof it. Yes, that's nice.
So clover Field for those that don'tknow, what, when did the original
come out? Two thousand and eight? I believe around there, Yes,
yeah, we were. Actually wereviewed the clover Field Paradoxuse. I forgot

(01:24:48):
about that. That was a previousepisode. So yeah, two thousand and
eight clover Field this film came out. It was a found footage type situation
about a giant monster they're attacking aNew York city. I personally love Cloverfield.
Love the movie. Yeah, it'ssequel ten Cloverfield Lane. Fantastic movie

(01:25:10):
directed by Dan Tratchenberg, starring JohnGoodman and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Correct,
God, I love that movie.I can watch I can watch ten Cloverfield
Lane anytime. Such a good uh. And then, of course Cloverfield paradox
Um came out on as a Netflixexclusive how many years ago now, like
three. That was in twenty eighteen. Yeah, he was directed by Julius

(01:25:34):
ownA and its star Google about theraw David Layoo and Daniel Brawl. Yes,
David O'Dowd was in it as well. That's correct. Yes, um
so now, uh we as muchas I would love a clover Field four,

(01:26:00):
it does look like that they're goingto be doing a sequel series.
Correct jays to the two thousand andeight Overfield, got it? You want
to tell us a little bit aboutthat? Yeah, so this is actually
from IGN, says here clover Field, the new sequel from the Batman TV
series show runner won't be found footage, so I'm just gonna read it from
here. The sequel is being writtenby Joe Barton, the show runner behind

(01:26:23):
HBO Max's Batman's Been of show centeredaround Gotham City blah blah blah blah.
It will be produced by original cloverField producer j J. Abrams and Barb
Robots Head of Film Anna and KellaClientell Hollywood Hollywood Reporter. This new movie
will be a direct sequels to cloverField, which ended on a cliffhanger that
left it unclear at the nuclear explosionthat occurs in the film's final moments actually

(01:26:46):
kill the monster terrorizing Manhattan. Soobviously this keeps going on. We talk
about Godzilla, we talk about KingKong, we talk a lot a lot
about these, you know, monsterfilms, but you know, clover Field
is definitely in that space of solidcontenders for monster films that I'm glad that

(01:27:09):
they're making. Sure, So cloverField holds a special place in my heart.
One I took my girlfriend at thetime of that movie and she threw
up, So I remember that movievery vid hole. But the other thing
that really keeps us space in myheart is it is a truly Western kaiju.

(01:27:31):
So a lot of people in thekaiju fandom never really considered King Kong
as a kaiju, even though KingKong's origins are Western. And it's not
until more recently that that ethos hasbeen like, all right, you know,
we'll accept King Kong as a kaiju. It's fine. But a lot
of people are like, he's stilltoo animalistic, not enough monster. But

(01:27:55):
and that's kind of what you'll finda lot in online kaiju communities set Cloverfield
Monster, everyone was intrigued. It'sa truly Western kaiju. It's got an
interesting form to it. The moviewas memorable. Everybody wanted more. I
don't know if you know much aboutthe arg that was going on at the
time, like the little websites thathad tidbits and more information of the whole

(01:28:16):
thing about the slush Show and itsslushow and it's connection to the corporation that
made it, and how that probablyhad something to do with the monster in
some way. All the little tidbitsthat were thrown around, it's like,
oh, this is great, wewant more of this, and everybody wanted
more of it, and I wantedmore of it. So this news especially
makes me more excited because as wehave gotten other clover Field tie in movies,

(01:28:43):
we haven't gotten any of the monster, and I really want the monster.
We've had like cool things with thealiens, and then we have the
intrigue of like, oh, what'sgoing on on earth during the clover Field
paradox, but like it was amonster. That's what I'm here for.
I want to see the monster stroythings. Yeah, I'm in that same
boat, like God, like Ias much as I love Tim Cloverfield Lane

(01:29:04):
like as a movie, like justby itself, the two thousand and eight
Cloverfield, Like it's it's very mysterious, it's very intriguing, Like they you
know, show snippets of the monsterjust hanging around, you know, like
did you see its huge legs justlike sweeping over Manhattan and everything, and
then you finally see him at theend of the film, and I'm just
like, well, I want moreof that, like you were just saying,

(01:29:26):
like, I just want to seemore of that world, more of
that monster and what its origins trulyare and where it can go. So
I'm hoping that that's what the serieswill cover and we get to see more
of that and get to see,you know, just like the the article
hints like was it destroyed at theend of the film. I probably not.
We don't know. I'm intrigued tosee, Like I remember, I

(01:29:50):
remember when I saw it in theaters, and I remember seeing like the first
shot when the statue of Liberty's headlike lands on the ground, it's got
like the claw marks in it.I'm like, oh, this is gonna
be a ride. And then yousee it walk into the city and you
see like the things dangling and fallingoff of it. Everyone trying to show
and it's like nothing beat that. And this kind of ties back to the

(01:30:13):
theater thing you're saying. When Isaw that in theaters, I was there.
I was immersed in the spectacle.I was like, this is amazing.
I mean, of course, untilshe threw up, which was like
halfway through the movie. So whatcaused that to happen? Was it something
that happened in the movie. Soit's kind of a twofold one. Like
a lot of people got in motionsickness at the time. I don't remember,

(01:30:35):
Like there was a lot of likenews stories like people get in motion
sickness because like, oh, you'rejostle and the camera around a lot and
it's a lot. And two shewas already kind of feeling under the weather
at the time. It was aone two punch, but she like really
wanted to go with me, andI was like, okay, high school,
it's fun time. Yeah, it'sa time. It's a time.

(01:31:01):
I don't remember if I saw thisin theaters. Actually I don't. I
want to say I didn't. Ithink I saw it later field because I
don't. I remember. Yeah, because I remember seeing the trailer when we
when I went to go see Transformersand I was intrigued by that, But
I don't remember seeing Cloverfield in theaters. I may I'm you know what,

(01:31:24):
I may have watched it on Netflixback where you had to order the discs.
I think I think that's where Iwatched. People still do that,
No, people still do that, believe it or not, Like it's it's
still a service. Yeah, butyeah, I think I think that's how
I watched it the first time.Actually, I think it was like one

(01:31:45):
of the first movies that I rentedfrom Netflix that I got in the mail,
if I remember correctly. At timesit's changed. Those red envelopes,
those red envelopes. I'm excited aboutit. I remember the red envelopes.
I'm too. I'm too. ILike sometimes you wonder like are they ever
going to make certain sequels for thingslike we didn't really have a chance to

(01:32:10):
really dive into much else because thiswas a very monster centric episode. But
I think about this a lot.Spider Man three has been ramping up the
hype train, and if everything goeswell, Sovid penttending, we should have
Spider Man three come out this year, which means we've had really new Spider

(01:32:32):
Man movies come out and we're stillwaiting for Gardens of the Galaxy of volume
three. It just blows my mind, like it's just wow. Yeah,
yeah, I didn't even think aboutthat. Yeah, I think about this
often. Yeah. So so,Jimmy, have you heard about any of

(01:32:54):
the rumors for Spider Man three aboutwhat's happening with that or now. So
I know that they're going to domore diverse stuff with it, and I'm
excited. Yeah, I'm excited fora lot of the things that they're doing.
So first off, outside of meloving monsters, I also love comic
books a lot, and I've beenloving what they're doing with the new Marvel

(01:33:17):
Cinematic Universe stuff. I mean, the old stuff's also good. It's been
just a wild ride the whole time, and Endgame destroyed my soul and I
loved every second of it, andI'm excited to see where they're going to
go with it, especially now thatthey want to bring in Fantastic Four,
they want to bring in X Men, and I don't know if you guys

(01:33:39):
are watching Wanda Vision, but there'sa lot of stuff that they're doing with
it that's like really cool. Can'tsay anything because like no spoilers but like,
yeah, everything that they're doing,I'm just like, anything that they
do next is going to be perfectlycrafted and precise, and especially if they're

(01:34:00):
doing dealing with multiverse stuff now, because we've got Doctor Streams and the Multiverse
of Madness, we've got what's goingto be basically a live action Spider Verse,
or that's what the rumors mill ischurning out. We know that if
Guardians three happens, it's going todeal with Adam and probably things that also
deal with the multiverse, and theBig Bad is probably going to have something
to do with the multiverse. Soyou're forgetting Loki by the way, because

(01:34:25):
yeah, right, yeah, that'shappening right now. I think, Yeah,
there's so much happening, and likeI'm trying not to get everything confused
because I have a lot of thingsI'm into and they're all like happening at
the same time. Like you've gotStar Wars, who now has like they
Asoka Show, the Mandalorian, theObi Wan, like all that good stuff,

(01:34:48):
and I'm just like, okay,so I got that, and then
we get the Marble stuff and I'mlike, okay, how am I going
to time manage anything in my life. I am apparently not meant to be
a productive human being because all ofthis is going on. And I'm just
like, uh, because especially withMarvel, there's so much they can do,

(01:35:12):
so many antagonists that they can pickfrom. You I kind of and
this is the last thing I hadto say before I'm sure we have to
wrap up. Um. I'm justwaiting for the time where Marvel like creates
a new bad guy, creates newcharacters, because they're going to come up
to the time where they have toLike it's we're almost there because they're flying

(01:35:32):
through Saga's right now. Like Ageof Ultron took a few years in the
books and it was one movie, and I'm like, that's interesting. Civil
War was a series of books andit's like Captain American Civil War, and
I'm like, that's just one movie, Like who do you have left?

(01:35:53):
Like we're we're already teasing the ideathat Miles Morales might be in a Spider
Man move, if not this one, then most likely the next one.
And I'm like, guys, MilesMorale is just arrived, Like slow it
down a little bit. His characteris not that old. I know they
want to do, like I knowthey want to do like the New Adventure

(01:36:15):
stuff with like Kamala Khan and likeall of them, and I know that
that's going to be cool. LikeI would love to see them do new
villains. I just want them todo one villain, just one villain,
some justice, and that is Doom. They have not done Doom justice in
any of the other adaptations. Theyneed to do him justice because in the
comics he's such an amazing character, not just like a great bad guy,

(01:36:41):
but like a great character in general. And I really want to see him
do it well because they could doso much with it. Yeah, and
then yeah, exactly. I mean, John Watts handled Spider Man pretty I
think he handled Spider Man pretty well. And you know, I'm coming far
from home and then we'll see whathis third movie entails. But he's gonna

(01:37:03):
be directing, you know, theFantastic Four movies, so I'm sure he
gave a really good pitch and itwould not be surprised of Doom as part
of that. And you know,Kevin Feigi, I don't think he would
approve something unless he was like,no, this is the right way to
go. So I feel like Ifeel like that that's going to be coming
very very soon, so I'm gonnabe happy for that. So excited,

(01:37:25):
so exciting. But those are discussionsfor another day. Yes, I agree,
I agree. Cool, you can'tsee me not in my head?
