In this episode of Discovering Truth with Dan Duval, Dan explores the deeper complexities of deliverance ministry particularly the connection between free will and dissociation. He explains why some individuals may not experience instant breakthroughs, even after going through standard deliverance practices. Dan introduces the concept of soul fragmentation, describing how severe trauma can cause parts of the soul to dissociate and retreat deep into the subconscious. He emphasizes the importance of engaging the core part of the soul to achieve true and lasting deliverance, especially in difficult cases where traditional methods appear ineffective. Additionally, Dan shares exciting updates about the podcast, including the launch of a new studio and the introduction of monthly calls for podcast patrons.

Everything in God's creation actually has free will, and so
for that reason, will becomes part of the conversation even
in deliverance. And when that happens, you will have people
praying for a person, fasting for a person, doing all
kinds of things, yelling at the purse in the name

Speaker 3 (02:27):
In the future. We're going to be exploring all kinds
of stuff.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
You're going to be talking today about why people can't
get the demon out. And for anyone that's been in
deliverance ministry, there may be times where you know people
come to us and we're like, yeah, you know, I'm
dealing with this. I'm dealing with that, and we pray
and see things move and it's like, oh, praise God.
And then there's these other situations where people come to

(02:52):
us and they're like, I want to be free of this,
and we say, yeah, that sounds great. Do you believe
in Jesus? Like yeah, and you know, so we beget
a pray to an issue or a problem, or we
identify that something is there. But as we pray and
as we rebuke, can we renounce and we plead the
blood of Jesus and we do all the things we
know to do, it doesn't work. It just gets stuck.

(03:14):
One of the reasons why, and this has not to
do with an accusation on the anointing of the particular
minister that may be ministering in that deliverance role. It
actually has to do with a deeper conversation on dissociation. Essentially,
what happens with us is that we all dissociate. Every

(03:37):
person associates, to one degree or another. Daydreaming is a dissociation.
PTSD is a type of dissociation manifested a dissociative identity
disorder is the result of extreme trauma over a period
of time that produces dissociation that becomes disruptive into a

(03:57):
person's life. And when we talk about what happens as
an individual goes through a lifetime of trauma, is that
it's interesting, can happen. Things can happen. So in short, right,
let's just you know, make it a basic example. You
have a person that's about to be abused as a
young child, right, they can't get away from their abuser,

(04:20):
So instead of getting away in the physical world, they
get away in their mind. They run away into a
corner of their mind while abuse takes place, and when
the abuse is over, they return to the front of
the mind. As a person endoors repeated abuse of the
similar type, they will learn to do this as a rule,
they will separate themselves in their mind. Part of their

(04:43):
mind will leave and part of their mind will stay.
We may call that person that goes away, you know, Billy,
that's the person's name. But the part that stays for
the abuse, maybe we call them bad boy, or maybe
we call them a disgrace, or maybe we call them
something like that. That becomes different identity. That's the identity
that is bad, that is disrespected, that is unworthy of love,

(05:05):
whatever that attribute is. And so when the abuse is over,
Billy will often return and that part, whether it's bad
boy or unworthy or unlovable, that part will go deep
into subconscious until it is needed for another abuse cycle.
So people grow up with parts because when the mind separates,

(05:25):
that's what produces parts. We call those soul parts, and
those soul parts are splitting off of something called the
core soul. And so when I describe the core, I
am in almost all cases talking about the core of
the soul. We are created tryune beings, body, soul, and spirit.

(05:48):
The soul is the primary presenting consciousness, and soul parts
are pieces of the primary presenting consciousness that fragment off
of the core presenting consciousness. But what happens if a
person's core consciousness splits a part that eventually gets the

(06:14):
job of being the presenting consciousness at the surface of
the person's life. In other words, what if you have
a situation where the core, that is the original self
no longer presents to the world, but instead becomes the
very part that is hiding in the subconscious realm or worse,

(06:38):
and by worse. I mean being put on some kind
of soul trafficking route and trafficked out of the body.
I mean, there are very bizarre things that can happen
at high levels of either occultism or trauma. But in
a more basic sense, the reality is there are situations

(07:00):
where the core is splitting soul parts to deal with trauma,
and eventually one of those soul parts gets the job
of being the presenting consciousness to the world, and the
core is in hiding. It's not at the surface, it's
not engaging the world. You can't find it. That person

(07:22):
is living their entire life as a shell or as
a shadow of their true selves. And when that takes place,
deliverance gets really funny. And this is one of the
things that I really hang my hat on, friends, is
the idea that God has given us free will. God

(07:45):
did not put Adam and Eve in the garden, take
his hand, put it on top of theirs, grab that
tree of the knowledge of good and evil, take that
fruit off of it, and shove it in Adam's mouth.
Shoving in his mouth. He didn't do that, right, He said,
don't do that, And then he gave them the ability
to make a choice, and they chose the wrong thing.

(08:05):
That's our evidence that we have a God that has
established his creation with free will, the ability to make
a choice. Even Lucifer who fell, had a choice. The
Bible says he was filled with violence within and he

(08:27):
sinned because of the abundance of his trading. According to
Ezekiel twenty eight, so he made choices, and then he said,
you know what I am now against or an opposition
to my creator. And so we all have a choice.
Angels have a choice, and humans have a choice. Animals

(08:50):
make choices all the time. Any view that has a
puppy or a cat, you know that that animal can
make a choice. Sometimes you urge them to make the
right choice. Don't don't eat my couch. Don't eat my couch, biscuit,
don't eat my couch, you know, please, And sometimes they listen,
and sometimes they just take chump. They mess up yourself.

(09:11):
You know, they made a choice. Everything in God's creation
actually has free will, and so for that reason, will
becomes part of the conversation even in deliverance. And this
is the major breakthrough that begins to surface when a
person has a spiritual bondage and they say as they're

(09:36):
presenting consciousness. I want to be free if that presenting
consciousness constitutes five or ten percent of their whole self
because of dissociation, and really the ninety percent stakeholder, which

(09:56):
maybe that's the core, is the part of them that's
sitting somewhere buried in the subconscious. When they go to
try to receive deliverance or breakthrough on an issue, there
may not be enough ability for the presenting soul fragment
to agree with the breakthrough that is desire. When that happens,

(10:23):
you will have people praying for a person, fasting for
a person, doing all kinds of things, yelling at the
person in the name of Jesus, and that person's d
d you know, okay, yep, Well, looks like you didn't
have the anointing brother, you didn't have the anointing sister.
Nothing changed, nothing moved, you know, shrugged the shoulders. You know.

(10:43):
I have been blessed by the Lord to have one
of the more successful I think deliverance ministries there is,
and we are helping a lot of people all over
the world. I mean, I've helped thousands of people and
tens of thousands by virtue of the people that I've trained,
and we are I mean really seen mass deliverance and
every kind of thing. I promise you, there are people
that I sit down with and I'll command a demon

(11:04):
to leave and to look at me, blink twice and
be like nothing happened. I want to tell you it's
not because I don't have the anointing. There's plenty of fruit.
But what I can tell you is sometimes what I
did was not sufficient to address the problem that's sitting
in front of me. Sometimes what I have to do
is take a step back, say, well, we just did

(11:26):
a deliverance prayer for an issue. It's clearly an issue,
but there's no breakthrough. And you know, thirteen fourteen years
into this deliverance ministry that the Lord has blessed me with,
I'm I'm still seeing zero fruit. For the moment. Let's
ask a different question. Is the person that I'm talking
to the core soul? And I have been shocked at

(11:54):
how many times I have sat down with people that
have come through extreme abuse, situation, extreme trauma, backgrounds, all
kinds of satanic ritual abuse, lucifery and abuse, government project abuse,
and they're looking for help. They're desperate, they're targeted, they
can't sleep, they have all kinds of issues. They're like,
I finally get a chance to get a breakthrough with

(12:14):
someone that knows what they're doing. We say our first prayer,
nothing happens, and then I'm on a different mission. I'm saying, well,
are you the person that I'm talking to at the surface,
the presenter the core? Because the answer in so many
cases is no, no, I'm not even talking to the

(12:35):
core of the individual. And so once it's established that
the core is not involved in the deliverance process, the
shift often happens when we find the core, bring the
core to the surface or near the surface, and get

(12:57):
the core of the soul to agree with the delivery prayer.
Because what I've actually experienced, I mean, and this happens
on a regular base. I have so many examples. I'm
just giving the description of the pattern. Once we find
that core of the soul somewhere into subconscious, bring it
just beneath the surface and get it to agree. It
doesn't even take the original per template we were using,

(13:19):
which may have a bunch of fancy language. Sometimes it
just says, core, do you agree with this deliverance? Yes? Okay,
now leave and the bondage is gone effortlessly, and it's like, Wow,
this is what it should have been like the whole time.
Why didn't it work like this the first Why did
we have to find the core soul to get a

(13:40):
breakthrough like this when we did all this other effort.
It doesn't God love me? Of course he loves you.
But it actually comes back to the conversation on will,
because there may be five or ten percent of will
engaging the deliverance that's happening. But when we shift that
internally and engage maybe eighty or ninety percent of the

(14:03):
person's will on the deliverance that we're asking for, Boom,
the breakthrough is immediate. And this is one of the
reasons why when I'm ready to be free of something
for myself and I say I'm going to go to
God and I'm going to pray about this thing with
a deliverance resource, my results for my personal journey are immediate.
But the people that I work with often it's not immediate.

(14:24):
Their conclusion may be God loves Dan more than he
loves me. No, it's because my will is fully engaged
in my deliverance process. Whereas a person who's been extremely dissociated.
We may need to take extra steps to engage the
will at a greater degree in order to process certain
deliverances through. So why didn't the demon leave? Sometimes it's

(14:47):
because the core wasn't involved. That's your nugget for today. Friends.
I'll see you next time. God bless and God Speak.
