Speaker 1 (00:50):
It's been a while, it's good. So long, Yeah, it has,
it's been. It's been. It's been a minute.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
People still doing this this podcasts and stuff.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
I guess they are. I guess we I guess we
got started. Yeah, yeah, hey everybody, it's been a minute.
I just wanted to come on briefly, just a short
little not even an episode, just a blurb, but basically
to say that we are going to be coming back
(01:24):
with the show here pretty soon. But there are gonna
probably be some changes coming down the pike. Just an
update on everything. I mean, really, you know, I just
I did show last month with ap Strange, which I
think was probably by the time we put this little
(01:45):
thing out, should be should be out, So you guys
can go check that out on the ap Strain Show,
but which was just kind of like a free form
where I just talked about just basically a lot of
different subjects. So you got can go check that out.
But uh yeah, so Surfiel, I do you know You're
(02:10):
I'm doing well. Man.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
It's a soft relaunch.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
It is a soft relaunch, but basically, uh, you know,
back in March we had the four hundred and ninety
ninth episode with Doctor Richard Spence and that's the last
show that we did, and then all of a sudden
we just kind of dropped, like dropped away when dark
(02:33):
we just went dark under And really it was kind
of a it was kind of a decision of just
like you know, where I felt, and I think Sir
Fhill would agree with me that we both kind of
felt that we were just kind of burned out on
doing the motions. Yeah, we had we've been doing this
(02:54):
thing well, I've been doing this thing since twenty twelve.
Sir Fhiel's been doing this with me since twenty eighteen.
And I think that we both kind of felt although
it was kind of really inadvertently or that we've been
talking about it for a while about doing a break,
and we were going to do that after a big
like you know, episode five hundred where I was going
to announce that we were going to take a hiatus.
(03:15):
Well that just like never happened. It never materialized. And
really what it was was just, you know, I've been
we've been doing strange realities, We've been doing consparent normal
(03:36):
Strange Realities was pretty much this thing that we did
every single year. Yeah, we'd usually do it in October
and November, good like maybe two or three months, and
then sometime in February start planning, and the planning just
kind of went on from there. And this was every
year for me, for us for a long time, and
(04:01):
I was just really like, I want to take a break.
I was dealing with some personal problems and I felt
it was time to just kind of just like let
the show go for a little while. So to all
of the people out there that were concerned about us
or whatever, which there were some people that did comment
(04:24):
and ask if the show was dead, and some other
people that have asked us when we're coming back, that
is what we're doing, this little thing here to talk about. So, Sofia,
before I kind of go on with that, is there
anything that you wanted to add?
Speaker 3 (04:40):
In general? I think just what was going on in
our lives at the time. I think also the seriousness
of events in our country and the world, at least
for me, maybe not really want to be part of
the noise, you know, like my commentary on these things
(05:00):
to me doesn't really doesn't it really matter. I don't
want to be just another talking.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
Head, because there's plenty out there.
Speaker 3 (05:08):
Right, plenty out there, and a lot of them helped
get us into everything that we're dealing with now, to
be honest, you know, this alternative media escape and how
he was weaponized. Yes, but yeah, I have just been
still researching the things I'm interested in, working on my
(05:31):
search for the Secret Rulers research project that is evolving
into a manuscript that I hopefully will do something else with,
getting more into treasure hunting and just being more of
a settling into being more of a Westerner out here.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
Yeah, he's been way more productive than me on some
of this stuff. I've kind of just I've kind of
just fallen fallen out of everything.
Speaker 3 (06:02):
Basically, well you have and you still you still have
your interests and nothing that.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
Yeah. Sure, earlier I went to UH, I went to
Cumberland Cohn. You know, I've gotten to hang out of course,
you know, I went to Paramania. I got to hang
out with Banal and Josh cutch In and a lot
of this, a lot of that crew back in September,
went to the Yeah, Cumberland Con in Somerset at the
(06:29):
beginning of this month, the beginning of October. So you know,
I've done I've done a few things, kind of getting
back kind of like active and involved in like the
last like two or three months. But really yeah, as
far as like what's going on in the paranormal or
at the Conspiracy Realm or whatever, I almost have like
no idea. So we're gonna have an episode of five
(06:55):
hundred coming up soon. It's not going to be this
like massive, like mole part thing that I originally envisioned
it to be. It will probably be at least two
episodes with like a couple of round tables from some
familiar faces, so stay tuned with that. And after that,
(07:15):
this will be sometime probably in the middle of November.
I'm going to be doing some shows, probably about like
once every two weeks, but with a lot of like
some of the same guests that you guys have heard,
just kind of get myself back into things and basically
just going to go from there. I don't feel the
(07:37):
need necessarily to do Conspira normal every week. I think
that we were like really like trying to push it,
and I think a lot of podcasts do try to
really push it, especially if it's like their livelihood, and
see this is like neither I nor Surfiel's livelihood. You know.
(08:01):
I guess we could push it in that direction if
we really wanted to, But I feel like in some
ways that almost takes the fun and the enjoyment. Plus,
I've had a lot of great conversations outside and inside
of Conspiramal I've never even recorded, So I want to
get back to that. I want to get back to
(08:22):
those kind of like good, you know, deep convoluted conversations
with some of the people, people like Timinal and Josh
and you know, doctor Future, Aaron Gulias, Robert Guffey, a
lot of these people, and you know, this is probably
be something that I'll be doing through like the winter
and into the spring, maybe get on a more consistent schedule.
(08:45):
But that's just kind of where things are going to be.
So if you're a fan of the podcast, you know,
hey man, there's like over five hundred something episodes, because
there's a lot that we're bonus that we did back
in the day that you guys can go back and
listen to. There's stuff on the Patreon there as well
that you guys can go back and listen to, which
(09:07):
is all still available. I even had somebody comment on
a video like last night, you know that we haven't
done anything in a long time. It's a video from
like a long time ago. What of our YouTube videos?
Which is just the the audio.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
We just win here with a picture basically, and I
think too, you know, Sofia, I mean, you're going to
be doing some of these with me, and some of
them you're not going to be. So I'll let him
kind of speak to that as to what his involvement
is going to be.
Speaker 3 (10:49):
So yeah, I will pop in and I'm sure if
if you know, to get back into it, it's a
lot of our good friends we'll be appearing. I'm sure
that I'll be pretty inspired just to just to talk
with those folks, And sounds like it's pretty low pressure
for that, just having conversations, free associating, spitball and hanging
(11:14):
out with our good friends, you know. But yeah, so
I'll probably be pretty present. You know, we'll just see
see where it goes. Got some changes going on, so
I'm not really sure how that's going to impact anything yet.
Speaker 1 (11:33):
My main goal right now is just to get back
into the swing of things. I guess Sofia I wanted
to me to kind of mention I have my little
had a chapel perilous moment back in the winter in
the spring of this year. I won't go into anything
more about that, but that's kind of one of those
things that just kind of, you know, maybe just say, hey,
(11:55):
I need to I need to back away for a while,
I need to take a break. And I'm you know,
I'm getting to the point where I'm ready to get
back into it. I think it's important to take a break,
you know. But all kind of like inspired this a
little bit too, because you know, he he would do
like seasons of his show, you know, for maybe like
a few weeks or like most of the weeks of
(12:16):
the year and then stop like maybe like the last
two weeks of the year, like two months of the year,
and so, you know, and then he you know, took
a break and he's back with a revival now. So
it's like kind of an inspiration of it. Just like, man,
I don't I don't have to continue to just like
constantly do this.
Speaker 3 (12:33):
Well, and especially because we were not following the model
of trying to monetize everything. I mean, you know, that's
great if anyone is able to do that. But I
think part of what people like about Conspira Normal is
the down to earth, working man kind of operation we got,
(12:57):
you know. I mean that's just what it is like.
Speaker 6 (13:03):
And we'll we'll definitely, uh, you know, we'll we'll we'll
be getting back I'll be getting back with However, it's
gonna work too, you know, somewhat more constance schedule eventually,
but just to get my feedback and then you know,
get my toes back.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
In the water. So expect to see more on the feed,
YouTube channel, what have you. I think that's pretty much
what I wanted to say. I don't think there's anything
I really can add to that other than to just
like expect the same you know, I would expect the
same kind of quality conversation and and and honestly, I
(13:41):
think the conversations will probably be better because it'll be
less forced.
Speaker 3 (13:45):
Yeah, besides the familiar voices that you want to get
back on here, are there any areas or topics that
that you'd like to start exploring more?
Speaker 1 (13:55):
Always history something I'd love to explore a lot more cool.
I don't know if it really fits with a show
called It's Paranormal, but you know, talking about history or
historical things. Probably some more history podcasts, professors I'd like
to get. You know, I'd like to delve it a
lot more of that because that's a real passion of mine.
(14:18):
But we'll see that may be something that might have
to fit into context of a whole other thing. I
don't know, but definitely we've done that in the past,
so you know, not just to focus on paranormal necessarily
or you know, but maybe focus on some of the things.
(14:40):
You know, at the end of the day, it's like,
you know, it's our platform, so it's like whatever we
want to talk about, that's how I feel about it.
Speaker 3 (14:46):
Yeah, that'd be cool. Our shows that have focused on
history have been pretty great.
Speaker 1 (14:52):
Religious history, Yeah, like we did with John Brooks and
I did with the history in the Bible, those type
of topics I'd like to cover. Maybe a little more
true crime stuff too, would be cool. Get somebody like
Drew Hurst Bison back on, you know, some of these
people that like, it's now been probably around a year
since I've had some of these people on, so mas
(15:12):
sure we have another show, and like, is it like
seven months? Yeah, So I think there's and especially I
think with you know, doing it not on a week
time schedule, you know, it's like probably do some longer
episodes than what we used to do, just because we're
not doing it as much. So I think that that
(15:33):
would be cool too. Time will tell how This is
going to be.
Speaker 3 (15:38):
One place that I don't think a lot of other
podcasts cover is kind of like keeping the pulse on
the evolving conspiracy culture. So I think that's something that
I would like to focus on on some shows.
Speaker 1 (15:57):
I think that stiffing that stuff out man.
Speaker 3 (16:01):
Yeah, I think that that's something that people really appreciated
about us. Yeah, you know, it's like observers and not
people just totally lost in the sauce, and there's been
a lot of interesting developments. I mean, I think just
as the everything is has changed in dynamics of who
(16:23):
is establishment, who is anti establishment, what the counterculture is
is kind of influx too. I think we're going to
see a lot of changes in conspiracy culture that we're
already starting to see. So that'd be something fun to
explore and keep a pulse on.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
Yeah, yeah, and you and I maybe well, you know,
we can do like just something that's was just you
and I for like once a month or something that's
something I've been wanting to do for a while. Cool,
So these are things that we can we were throwing around,
but you know, expect to see some of these things
happen in the next couple of months. And I think
I think that's basically it that I wanted to say.
Speaker 3 (17:01):
I would just stay tuned, all right, super quick mini episode.
Speaker 1 (17:07):
Yep, I could real quick tell people that, you know,
I've been dealing with like squirrels getting into the house,
and so I've been finding squirrels for like the last
like you know, a couple of weeks.
Speaker 3 (17:18):
You know what, you remember they were an issue at
way back at Rob's studio too.
Speaker 1 (17:23):
Yeah, there was that one squirrel that got into the
Uh he got into the ceiling and was dead already,
but I think there may have been in it. Yeah. Well,
I mean they were chopping on the wires trying to Yes, yes, yes.
Speaker 3 (17:39):
So maybe these agents they.
Speaker 1 (17:42):
Might be I've been battling squirrels for the last couple
of weeks, and I think maybe the tide has turned.
Now there was there there was a casualty, so I
think I think the tie. I think the tide has
turned in the Great Squirrel War of twenty twenty five.
Let's uh, you never know. I mean, there may not
(18:03):
be this may the point may be moot. The squirrels
may get me tonight. I don't know so, but if
I'm malled to death by squirrels, I'll cerfio will continue, Conspira.
Speaker 3 (18:15):
Well that's your final testament. Then we need one of
those deathbed confessions.
Speaker 1 (18:19):
All right. Well cool? Uh, like I said, expect to
see more and uh not super.
Speaker 3 (18:26):
Active on the social media to shout out or anything.
Speaker 1 (18:29):
Yeah, not really, not really. I mean, yeah, like I said,
archives are all up there, Conspira. If you're somehow you're
listening to this for the first time, which I really
don't know why you would. But if for some reason
you are conspirat, normal website is still up. You can
find it on YouTube, Conspirabal podcasts, you know. I mean,
(18:50):
we're everywhere, so we're even on the Evil Spotify.
Speaker 7 (18:55):
So yeah, I think that's it. So'll stay to you guys.
