whatever it is, feel free to call the Pro Wrestling
Sound offline two six seven sixty four, two eleven sixty
and we will get to as many of those as
possible in a future episode. For this episode, we're going
to recap some recent news things we've been talking about

(02:44):
a lot, Lady go into predictions for Saturday night's main event,
and all other pieces in between. Let's start with the
latest update on Andre l Andrede l Idiolo. The rumor
is now is that WWE may use his noncompete clause
to kind of force his way back into WA, which
on the surface to me sounds absolutely ludicrous. Why fire
the guy if he wanted to bring him back in

(03:05):
the first place permanently you know, terminated because of wellness
policy violations, and then he shows up in AEW, he
violates whatever this noncompete clause for a year is, and
now he's stuck. He has nothing he could do. He
can't make a living. It almost gives him no options.
I think he should challenge it in court. If I'm
Tony Kahn, I would actually pay that fee. I would
pay a lawyer to fight that in court, just to

(03:27):
get it out of the way, make it so that's
no longer a thing, get it out of WBE contracts altogether,
and that would make the free agent landscape in the
future very interesting. That being said, p to bo Insider
says that in Mexican Lucha Libre circles that WWE could
be using the non compete clause to push Andreida to
return to their company. I think it's terrible, but I

(03:48):
guess getting the pop showing up on AEW and then
forcing him back to WWE might be like a slap
in the face to AW. I think that's very bizarre strategy,
but in this crazy world of pro wrestling, I guess
anything's possible. Well, now here's the thing for me. If
I'm WWE. I understand we've had long standing issues with
AW since they launched I remember the Monday Night wars
between WWE and WCW. I don't want that again. To

(04:10):
be perfectly honest with you, I would love to see
these companies at some point in the future, obviously not
right this second, but somewhere down the line find a
way to coexist in a more positive and constructive way,
perhaps even co promoting at some point the way WWE
does with TNA. I would love that, but we're never
going to see it if we keep having this tit
for tat situation. So if this is one of those
things where they're trying to use this as a bargaining

(04:32):
tool to capitalize on his appearance at AEW and then
force him back to the company, bad idea. Moving on
to the next report talking about the situation with bron
Breaker and Bronson. Read why they weren't in the Battle
Royal to crown the number one contender for the World
Heavyweight Championship for Saturday night's main event, and the word
right now going around is that they were afraid. WWE
officials were afraid that they would get a baby face

(04:53):
reaction despite the way that they turned on Seth, that
they would be cheered because of the way Seth has
been portrayed recently, Russell Moses reporting we was the ones
who were concerned that bron and Bronson will receive babyface
reactions instead of getting booed as they joined forces with
Paul Hayman. And just my opinion, you could agree to disagree,
Feel free to put it in the comments. But to me,
if the fans want to boo, let them blue. If

(05:14):
they want to cheer, let them cheer. Go organically with
what the fans want. If they do that and they
come out and they win the battle whirl or whatever
it is you want to do with them, and the
fans love it, great. You created a new megastar. If
you need to turn somebody else here or whatever you
gotta do, it's a good problem to have. Instead, what
you've done is people haven't seen Bronson enough lately because
of this Bron Breaker a great He gets a glorified

(05:37):
squash match with La Knight, which I don't think is
great for Knight's character. I've hated what they've done with
him for quite a while now. But at the same time,
it's putting him in a holding powder with Bronson, and
it's going to lead into what we're gonna talk about
a little bit later, but it's really frustrating that they
are not involved with Saturday's main event in some way,
shape or form. Let's get into Saturday's main event, because
I think they will be. Let's go through the card

(05:57):
real quick. Let's start with the Intercontinental Championship, opportunity for
both Dominic Masterio to defend against Penta and Russev triple
threat match. I think there is no chance that Dominic
loses the championship here. He has to keep that championship
for something we're gonna talk about later. So I think
dom wins the match. I think he's gonna cheat the win.
I think why not that? Or he'll pick up like

(06:19):
somebody will hit their finishing move and they'll throw them
out of the ring and steal the pin, which isn't cheating,
but I would love to see that, because it's kind
of cheating but not I love that. I don't want
to see, you know, El Grande Americano and his goons
out there again. I think that's been done to death.
It's kind of getting boring at this point. But their
official prediction I have is Mysterial wins. Moving into the
women's Championship match WWE Women's Championship Triffany Stratton versus Jade CARGI. Look,

(06:42):
Stratton's had that championship for an extremely long time. In
the modern WWE era, people like Roman Reigns maybe keep
their championships forever, but most people don't. I think this
is a good time to flip at the Jade Cargo. Otherwise,
why did you make her if heal in the first
place with the turn on SmackDown. My prediction is Jade
Cargo wins the Women's Championship, not just it's because they
want to put it on. According to Dave Meltzer, they

(07:02):
wanted to put it on here since before she got
injured last year ahead of WrestleMania. But more importantly, at
some point, Bianca bel Air is coming back and we
need something for the two of them to finally feud over,
and this championship could be the thing. So I think
this is going to be the way to set Jade
up for a program belayer once she comes back. The
big one ce them Punk Jay Usso singles match for

(07:22):
the vacant World Heavyweight Championship, and this is my thing.
To me, there is no way there's a clean winner
in this match. I think Bronson and bron Breaker up
here and they attack both men, you know, take it
so that the match is a schmas ending, no contest.
I don't know where you go from there, but we
need to have a world ship at some point, and
I think they're actually thinking about putting that onto bron Breaker.

(07:44):
I've said in the last episode. I really think they
need to change bron Breaker's name to just bron Steiner
or something so it's it's not such a ludicrous name
and you can look at that name in the history
books as being a legitimate reason to be a world champion.
I don't like bron Breaker. I think it just sounds
too eric and cartoonish. I would love to see that
they're not going to do it, but whatever, But I
do think that this is gonna be a schmas ending,

(08:05):
leading to bron and Bronza coming out and doing something
to screw the whole thing up, and we still won't
have a world heavyweight champion. And then the last match
of the night, Cody Rhads defending the WWE Championship against
Drew McIntyre. There's people questioning whether this is where Cody
goes heel will that lead to a Cody Heel facing
a babyface Randy Orton later on at Mania possibly does

(08:26):
he lose the championship here to Drew. I really don't
know how to feel about this one, because for me personally,
I would actually give the championship to Drew McIntyre. I
think he's earned that. I really do it. If you
don't give it to him here, when are you going to?
And at some point he really should have a World
Championship run, and I mean a substantial one for everything
he's done for the company the last couple of years. However,

(08:46):
that being said, I predict Cody Rhodes will retain the
championship here. I don't think this is where we turn
the title. So my prediction is Cody Rhads wins the
championship match and moves on. Now that being said, going
back to the Inner Continental Championship, I said that Dominic
needed to keep that championship because word is if there's
a possibility that the plan for the end of John

(09:07):
Cen his ten year in WWE will be for him
to win the Intercontinental Championship from Raymisteria are from Dominic mysterio,
which I love that idea make him a Grand Slam champion.
I think that would be a great way for him
to go out. It's not changing the number of world
championships he has, but he does get some prestige to
his last match. I think he would be the perfect
guy to be Dominic Mysterio after as long as Dominic
has held that intern Coninal Championship. And then you move

(09:29):
on further down the road where Gunther will win the
tournament to face Johnsen is his final opponent for the
Intercontinental Championship, and Gunthro can win the inn Continental Championship
from John Cena in his last match for WWBE. I
think it makes a ton of sense. And with that
being said, that feeds into the next part of the conversation,
which is the vignettes that have been airing on Raw.
It turns out that they are Wrestlmingia forty two promo videos.

(09:51):
So many people were disappointed they were pulling for a
new faction, a new version of the Vision, whatever it is.
But at this point, it's got Triple H, it's got
Cody Roads, Roman Rains, Punk brock Lesner, Paul Hayman, it's
all about Vegas. There's some poker chips and things that
get thrown out there. That's what it is. It is
a It's a promo for WrestleMania. The fact that we

(10:12):
have that lends into what I think is very exciting
the fact that we know that Brock Lesner is going
to be a part of WrestleMania, and then you think about, like, well,
what will he do there. Now, there's some people who
think that that's gonna be where Braun Breaker and Brock
Lesner face off. I don't think you could. You're gonna
do that at Mania because I think what we really
want to see at Mania, and what's being talked about,

(10:32):
at least in some circles, is that this may be
the opportunity for Brock Lesner to face off against Gunther
for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania. Fightful is reporting that
Lesner has been flown in the film his part that
Gunther is the top choice to face Lesner at Mania.
I think it's a great idea. We all wanted to
see it to begin with. You could do the Braun

(10:54):
and Brock thing later, you could do it beforehand. I
don't really care which way you do it, but I
think the vignettes as much as a letdown as they are,
there's some excitement there because it means you now know
who some of the major players are gonna at WrestleMania,
and you know they're gonna build programs around those guys,
including brock Lesner got to address a couple couple more
things tonight. One Nicky Bella teaming up with Stephanie vakure

(11:15):
H to take on Roxanne Perez and uh oh gosh,
rock Hel Rodriguez next week. I have no problem with
the match. I have a problem with the Nicky Bella
taking the clean pinfall loss to Roxanne Perez on roll.
If you're gonna go ahead and do this anyways, this
should have been a smase ending. Nobody takes a clean loss,
and then you have the tag team match down the
line that would make more sense to me, which will

(11:36):
eventually lead to Nicky Bella's heel turn. I don't like
her taking a clean pin because then you're gonna put
her in a position to face the world champion, and
that puts a weak opponent against the world champion. I
would have rather seen this go a little differently, but
that is the word that now that they're gonna they're
gonna face off and have this tag team match. It
is what it is. It's a new match, it's a
fresh match. It gives Judgment Day something to do. It
does something to set up the Nicky Bella switch, but

(12:00):
just not loving the whole plan of the whole thing.
So we'll have to wait and see how things turn out.
I spoke earlier about how things could change if somebody
would do a lawsuit on the androde Idiolo thing. TNA
Wrestling needs to listen up a bone it comes to
free agents, because word breaks yesterday that there is yet
another TNA contract expiring. So we've already heard about Mustafa Ali,

(12:22):
the Rascals, the Hardys, the Iconics. Now Steve Macklin, the
current International champion, his contract also running at his running
out in December twenty five, the others early twenty six.
We also know Joe Hendry's contract is coming do It's
too many stars at the same time for a company
that doesn't have their media rights deal put together yet.

(12:43):
Maybe they're waiting till that deal comes through to start
signing people. But if you wait too long, these people
are gonna be free agents. They're gonna be able to
seek vocation elsewhere, and awnww should be chomping at to
be to grab some of these talents. I think it
would behoove them to do so and maybe start planning
for that now, unless they're trying to shed for a
WWE purchase or takeover, which is another conversation that has

(13:03):
come up in the past. Maybe that's why they're not
renegotiating all these contracts is to wait for w W
to make the purchase go through at the end of
the year, after they get a media rights deal increasing
the value of the company, and WWE can sign whoever
they want to sign. The last thing for tonight. This
one kind of hits me. Hits me hard. And when
I was a child watching wrestling for the first time,
one of my favorite tag teams was the US Express.

(13:25):
Over his career, Mike Rotunda teamed with Barry Wyndham. They
were the WWF Tag Team champions in the first WrestleMania,
losing the championships to the chikin Volkoff. They later would
regain them to only go on to lose them to
the Dream Team Greg Valentine and Bruce Beefcake. I always
love the tag team. Then they move out of the territory.
They go to WCW. Barry Windham goes off and does

(13:46):
his horseman thing. Mike Rotunda ends up forming a tag
team with Doctor Death Steve Williams and has Kevin Sullivan
as their master. They are the Varsity Club and they
have great feuds with the Road Warrior. He eventually comes
back to WWE. He was Captain Mike Rotundo for a
hot minute. It didn't really matter. He was VK wall Street,

(14:07):
which was another gimmick that really didn't work for me.
But then when he came back to WWE, he teams
with Ted Dibiassi and what could be the most meaningful
part of his career and powerful stuff as a tag team,
money incorporated as irs Erwin R. Schuister Well. The word
came out today both from Barry Wyndham and also from
Leilani Kai posting a photo of herself hugging Mike Rotunda

(14:28):
online saying that he has been moved to hospice care.
There's no word as to what caused him to be
moved into hospice care. The picture that she posted is
from several months ago. Barry Wyndham was on doing an
interview with Bill Apter a few hours prior where he
talked about Rotunda's health in the interview. It's been reported
by several outlets at this point he was a twenty
six year veteran. And I'm telling you, this guy was

(14:50):
like poetry, emotion, great quality, like genuine amateur wrestling style,
like real you know, catches catch can wrestler style. And
I always appreciated his contribution to business and for me,
sad news, prayers and everything out to the family to Microtunda,
you know, just a class act, great guy. If you
ever got a chance to meet him throughout his career,
he was always willing to take time for the fans

(15:10):
and he's a part of what a lot of people
don't realize is one of the most beautiful dynastic families
in the wrestling business, between Blackjack Mulligan, Barry Windom, Kenda Windham,
micro Tunda, and then the inter marrying of their two
families creating Bray Wyatt, bo Dallas and several other family members.
Who knows where they're going to be at some point
in the wrestling industry, but just sad news today and

(15:32):
hearing that he's going into hospice care, and like I said,
our prayers go out to heat and the family. That's
