Speaker 1 (00:02):
From the from the bottom. You know, we got up.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
We got it.

Speaker 1 (00:11):
We were from the bother. Oh, y'all didn't expect to
see us again.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
No, no, no, no.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
We've been going for a long, long, long time. The
only good thing about now is, uh, we get to
stay home and do it.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
That's something we had to stay.

Speaker 3 (00:36):
We didn't last sound though, bro, we did. Yeah, I
remember we was doing it from the computer last time.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Oh, I don't remember. It should have been a while.
I was just I just remember taking the equipment from
back and forth.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
Yeah, that was I remember that.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
Oh but remember once we got it, you got uh
you had your equipment and I had my equipment.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Oh yeah, but shoot, those drives are falling asleep going
home at night.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Oh bruh.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
Hey, so you're remember them episodes that we used to
have the fire ons.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Then all of a sudden, the computer be like, nah,
sn you good.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
I mean we lost a lot of episodes too, but uh,
you know, we had to run it back one more
time again. You know, we didn't. We didn't anticipate so
many people even listening to our episodes, you know when
we first had started this back in But yeah, I

(01:44):
don't even wine probably you know when we started back then,
it was a whole lot different than it is now.
I think right now, everybody named Mama got podcast and
everybody kept asking, you know, when you're gonna bring it back.
I'd love to be a guest on the show. You know,

(02:05):
when can we come on all this stuff?

Speaker 2 (02:08):
You know?

Speaker 1 (02:08):
And uh, shoot, you know, man, we we have to
bring it back one more time, you know, to see
how everything.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Go mm onere time for the one time.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
So, uh, it does feel it does feel strange to
be back in front of this talking again. You know,
we blessed, you know, we we we did a lot
since we've been gone for a while.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
What you got to say, Jay, Man, I mean you
said it, bro We blessed.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
We happy to be here.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
We happy to bring the fans our following. We happy
to just bring you all some content, non stop content, man,
you know, great content.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Uh, we ready to you know, share with y'all.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
You know what's been happening behind the scenes, before the scenes,
what's behind the scenes, so you know it's all you know,
good works. So we're gonna we're gonna kick it off
right this season.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
Well, uh this episode you can tell that we must
have talked a lot, because if you go back into
our first episode, there was a lot of quietness and
a lot of stubborn you know, first time in front
of mics, and you know, we were just out there
having fun. But thank y'all again for tuning in. So

(03:38):
we're gonna going to get right to it, because you know,
we know what y'all been missing. So some of y'all
who see this online, you know, you can see the
topics and stuff. But for everybody else who can't, you know,
we got the first topic of the episode to come
back episode, Why did we step away from podcasts? And

(04:00):
what have we been done?

Speaker 4 (04:02):
You want to start first? You want me to start?

Speaker 2 (04:05):
I guess start off. You've been talking? Yes, oh man,
why did we? Why did we step away?

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (04:13):
Man, y'all know the saying life be lifing, and yes,
it does that, and you know it got to that
point where it lifed a little bit hard, too hard. Well,
I know, you know I can see on my end
and uh it just kind of took me out the
motion of some things.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
Uh far ast.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
For the podcasting, and I missed it the whole time.
I'm not gonna hold you, Brent like y'all, I missed it.
I missed talking to the people, just being random, like
the one I remember, the one episode Delicious or ram
Delicious doses are what we called it.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
Just say, By the way, y'all can still go back
and listen to all those old episodes.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
They own all major podcast platform.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Yes, y'all go do that.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
But you know, you know, that was just one of
the things, you know, stepping away, uh, just with family,
because sometimes I would get a little exhausted. I remember
editing at one point that was non stop. Uh, you know,
just trying to keep things in the order, plus working

(05:22):
all day. So take a toll on you. But what
if I've been doing besides that. Uh, I've been getting
some music going. I've been, you know, stepping away from
the court a little bit, trying to be healthy like
a young old man.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
I am like cal, he's an old young man.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
I don't throw me in your stuff.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
But you know, uh man, you know, just living with
the family.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
Watch the family grow, kids are up out the way,
and we will I will have the kids, you know,
the boys, because they no more, they're no longer little ones.
Their voice is like just as deep as mind and
a little one. He can talk talk, So I think
that'll be fun.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
Back to you, Kep and so. Uh Man, like you said,
life be life. Shoot back when back when we was podcasting, Man,
that stuff was like a job. Like I think right now,
it's like way easier than what it was back then.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
You know, we had families, you know, different jobs. You know,
didn't have the time to do it like we used
to it first M and so. Shoot, we had to,
we had to take a break. Uh in that time.

Speaker 4 (06:50):
I think I have since then. Me I went and
started a business.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
Uh I was.

Speaker 5 (06:58):
I was, come on, quitt quit now, Uh I was,
you know, I was.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
I became a basketball coach for my daughter team. Shoot.
I got four kids now who play basketball. Sometime at
the same.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
Time, mm hmmm.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
Uh, may I help help a lot of kids out
at the school, the high school up a by where
I stayed. Man, I ain't not telling what all I've
been into. There's been a lot of stuff since you know,
I started talking on the mic.

Speaker 6 (07:43):
You know, I ain't gonna even I ain't gonna even
lie to you. But it does feel good to be
back because a lot has happened since we've been gone.
You know, and there's a lot of stuff we want
to talk about, and it's a lot of people who
got stuff to talk about, who got some awesome stories,

(08:03):
who will be coming on here, you know, probably some
past guests to update y'all on you know, what they've
been doing. You know, we got some who shoot, they started,
they did what they said they were gonna do back
in those old, those old episode. You know, they stuck
to it, and shoot, they gonna they update you on

(08:26):
what's going on with them.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
Now. We got a lot of new friends and a
lot of new acquaintances who got some cool stories and
they want to come on and chop it up. So man, listen,
it ain't no telling who you're gonna see on this thing. Yeah,
you know should Jared probably doing him and Him and
missus Megan episode again.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
Do another one?

Speaker 3 (08:50):
Man, listen When you sent me that episode, bro, I
just sat there and listened to the whole episode. I'm like, yo,
we were so far ahead of podcasts. We did not
even know it, Like we were bru it was crazy.
And to listen to how like how me and me

(09:12):
and Meghan and how we were and then how you
and I were, I'm like, yo, we created like a
connection on a mic that was like before it's time,
just two cents out there.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
But one thing that I really realized with these videos,
in these podcasts, you know, I used to always say that,
you know, you shoot this episode, you forever would be around,

(09:46):
you know, long, this episode gonna be around long after
we gon and uh, you know, in this time we've
been away, you know, Jered lost pops, you know, but
we still can go back and listen to the episode
that he was on mm hm, you know.

Speaker 4 (10:10):
And I think that's a dope thing about podcasting that
people don't think about, you know, is that I got
quick saying you know, uh, you know, I'm trying to
get back into it, you know.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
You know, uh yeah yeah. And uh. The other cool
thing is that this stuff is like it's ever gonna
be around and you can always go back and check
it out. And I really like that, you know, people

(10:45):
see that type of stuff and understand that because this
is more than just talking sometimes, you know, and sometimes
you know, people want to hear your voice and they
will going to turn this stuff on. But you know,
that's that's enough about us, man. We're gonna go on
again to the second topic. You know, just just to

(11:06):
comeback episode. So it's probably gonna be loan like some
of the other ones, because you know, we're gonna have
to get back adjusted to doing this again, you know,
trying to make sure we're consistent, trying to make sure
that we're giving y'all something good, you know to listen to. Man. Uh, yeah,

(11:28):
it's strange. I'm not gonna lie. I'm not gonna lie.
You know, it's strange talk.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
We've been out a thing for a little bit. Bro,
It's cool. Man. Yeah, Yeah, we're good.

Speaker 4 (11:39):
So, uh, we're gonna we're gonna go to the second topic.

Speaker 3 (11:45):
Oh that was the first one. That was the person damn.
Lessons you learn doing break Wait but listen man, lesson

(12:06):
as I've learned through break Man. Consistency, patience in your speed.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
Three things Consistency.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
One thing with the podcast that I remember.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
Was the consistency that we had for the first season.

Speaker 3 (12:28):
You know, it was constant and during a break after
seeing a lot of podcasters, not even podcasts, just content creators,
the consistency of posting little fifteen second clips of like
a music video or maybe like a movie or a

(12:50):
series or something, and consistently going with that patience. I've
noticed how being paid has allowed me to see like yo,
calm down, slow down, go do how you need to
do it. Just work how you need to work. And
that's where you know your speed come into play, Like

(13:13):
move at your pace because at times, you know, when
doing something, I will notice I'll be moving too fast,
not being patient because I seeing how people are working,
how it's boo.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
Boo boom boom boo boo boom bom bom boom boom.

Speaker 3 (13:28):
Not understanding and sometimes realizing, Like when it comes to
musicians and artists, we are seeing things that they've probably
done four or five months ago and it's just now
like okay, you know, labors are like we're gonna release this,

(13:48):
you know, eight months from now, but let's get the
content going. So after that we getting they're old but
it's new content, but it's old to them while they're making,
you know.

Speaker 2 (14:00):
So that's why it's like boom boom boom.

Speaker 3 (14:03):
So that's why I say, you know, move at my
pace and just working, just working, just figuring it out.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
Stop, well this isn't perfect.

Speaker 3 (14:16):
Scratch that get it done, you know, but like we
said last time, put some content out analyzed what you
was doing wrong, Analyze what you.

Speaker 2 (14:25):
Can do better and proceed. Man. Sure, that's my lesson.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
Er, and that's a fact, jack Man. The lesson that
I learned doing this break my way is, uh, sometimes
we just have to sit back and look at what
we have. You know, time not time not guaranteed for

(14:53):
no one. I learned not to take not to take
life and stuff so serious. You know, some people just
mad at the world. But then I have learned that,
you know, if you're around people who always complain and
you having a good day, you know, they gonna bring
your day down. But sometimes it just best to get

(15:16):
away from around those people. I learned that, you know,
if you don't take risks, there's no telling how far
you can go. I learned that doing our you know,
our first part. You know, we first started podcasting because

(15:37):
at that time we didn't expect nobody to listen to
us talk and all. I think by the time we finished,
I think we started making money and then we stopped.
You know, we did over over one hundred somethings episodes. Yeah,

(16:02):
you know, we had we had people on that we
never expected to ever talk to. You know, we had
actors on. We had servicemen, we had professional sports players on.
Uh Man, we we had some of every We had artists, rappers, singers, directors.

(16:32):
Would you say, oh yeah, we had them. Man, we
had some of everybody on these shows, and uh, like,
I can't I don't even know if we would be
able to get people to listen to us. Now, you know,
we have been going after after Loop and it's like,

(16:53):
like we said, it's a million some episodes out there
of podcasts, you know, so the only two listens we
probably donna get will be me and Jay. Again, my
dog's not around, so he ain't gonna listen this time.
Uh you know, do it for cab. Yeah, but now

(17:14):
you know, but during that break, I did learn that,
you know, you don't have to be a celebrity to
have a dope story. Uh Man's there's so many people
out there who got like some awesome stuff to tell people.
They just don't have no people to tell it too,
you know. So therefore, once again there's no telling who

(17:39):
you would hear on these episodes. You just better be
ready because we coming. Paul's not like yeah take that, yeah,
take that?

Speaker 5 (17:52):
Well yeah yeah yeah, yeah, scratched it.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
Scratch that out. You know, I.

Speaker 3 (18:03):
Was like, you know, you're not about to do he
did it?

Speaker 2 (18:06):
He did it?

Speaker 1 (18:12):
But yeah, yeah, yeah, we're gonna go past that part.
But yeah, you know we learned, we learned a lot.
You know. We we happy to be back, you know. So, man,
I don't I don't even know what to say. It's
don't even feel real right.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
Now, you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (18:34):
I want to ask the listeners, uh, and when y'all
getting when y'all.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
See the episode, uh they hear the episode?

Speaker 2 (18:42):
If yeah, if you hear it, see it.

Speaker 3 (18:45):
I want y'all to comment and leave a uh just
leave a comment and tell us how we did.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
Tell us.

Speaker 3 (18:52):
Uh, I mean, you know, just give us some feedback
because it's been so long that you know, we just
need to get back in our groove. You heard me,
And this is its season three, so you know, maybe
a different type of groove, you know. Yeah, you know,
we'll get some uh some zoom, you know, some uh

(19:15):
some episodes like this, and then hopefully.

Speaker 2 (19:17):
We can get somewhere.

Speaker 6 (19:19):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (19:19):
We're you know, we're in the same in the same space. Uh,
you know, some some other video work.

Speaker 1 (19:26):
But you mean you mean like live studio type stuff
live studio.

Speaker 3 (19:32):
Uh, a recording that we can put out share on here.

Speaker 2 (19:37):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (19:38):
But you know where you know, we're together, same room,
we can have a mic song and you know, multiple
other different people.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
And we're probably gonna be going live sometimes too. Yeah,
you know, I think. I think y'all gonna catch us
on every platform. And I hope you read it because
it's probably gonna be a lot of content coming out.
I'm just letting y'all know. Now that's Jerry Fault.

Speaker 3 (20:06):
That's hey, listen, because it's gonna be like Katrina were
flooding them, were flooding it all you heard.

Speaker 1 (20:13):
I don't know if you should do. I don't know
if you look at that documentary. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (20:22):
Now listen, I love my standing, I love my people. Man,
you heard me.

Speaker 3 (20:26):
All that was was stupid, But I mean, we're about
to flood the market.

Speaker 2 (20:31):
I don't know how else to put it. Were about
to flood that thing.

Speaker 3 (20:33):
Katrina was stupid and did a whole lot. You heard me,
she flooded. We about to flood, you heard me. But
we're gonna do it in a beneficial way. You heard
me about to get a people something so that's what
it is.

Speaker 1 (20:43):
You heard me clean it up, you know, even with
that documentary.

Speaker 2 (20:47):
Uh huh.

Speaker 1 (20:48):
I think you you should do episode about it because
you was in it.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
I ain't gonna say I was one hundred percent in it, but.

Speaker 3 (21:01):
I wasn't there when when a storm I was in Mississippi,
I got the as cheek of the storm.

Speaker 2 (21:07):
So I just win, you know, I mean.

Speaker 1 (21:10):
But you, but you were there leading up.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
To it, though I was there leading up to it.

Speaker 1 (21:16):
Save save the rest, Save the rest for the episode.
I'm gonna say. Yeah, yeah, right, you're right, You're right,
you yeah, you know them the lessons we learned doing
the break, Yeah, we learned. We learned a lot. You know.
Another thing I learned during the break is people now
who they say they are. You know, you be thinking

(21:38):
they official, you know, but I learned that grown people
be thinking like they still in high school. You know,
all the Gospels you under the buzz, you don't even
talk to them. That's a whole nother episode. You know,
We're gonna go hop to the next next topic.

Speaker 2 (22:00):
Yeah, that's I said, Remolitia docious.

Speaker 1 (22:07):
The other discussion about burnout, why podcast is stopped, and
how to manage consistency. Oh you want to start, Shoot,
you can start, you want to.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
I can start about burnout while podcasts it stops. I
think that may go back to kind of what we
said earlier.

Speaker 3 (22:30):
Uh, people we want to we want to continue because
I mean, we see what it brings. But sometimes it's
like being on a job for like six months straight
and you're just doing you know, you're giving it you
all every single day and you're like, you know what,
I kind of need a break. And sometimes the breaks

(22:50):
are needed just to refresh yourself. You heard me like
to be like, you know what, because like we did
with the first season and it's going into the next sea,
were like, we should give it a little rest for
a little bit and come with you know, new ideas, new,
you know, a little new everything, same formula, but just
add a little something, you know. And I think, uh,

(23:11):
that could be some podcasters. Uh they may see the benefit.
They may have somebody that's on there that they connect
with and that podcasting may have been a way for
them to connect with that person. And now, excuse they've

(23:31):
ventured off to a new adventure. So podcasting has stopped
because it started something they got they went into the
network field with a host that they had. Next thing,
you know, that connection turned into something different. Now they're
on a different plane, whereas I mean they they have
someone else using their podcast name while they're over here.

Speaker 2 (23:54):
Building something completely different.

Speaker 3 (23:57):
Uh. And and from there we just I mean you
just constantly, you know, go from the consistency stays and
sticks because when you have the formula, then you have
when you have you know, the original recipe. I mean,
it makes no it makes no sense for you to

(24:19):
damage the next thing that you're going into because if
you have the original FORMU you can't mess up unless
you're taking something out the original form or unless you
found something that's that makes the original formula looks I
mean look minimum like ais sometimes like whoa, hey yeah,
making us look crazy. But I mean with the consistency, man,

(24:43):
I just think that to manage it, you just have
to you have to allow yourself to you have to
allow yourself to work. You know, if you got ideas,
shot them down, you know, goot them down, put that

(25:03):
to the side, even bad ideas, shot them.

Speaker 2 (25:06):
Down, put them to the side.

Speaker 3 (25:07):
Because sometimes these ideas that may work right now or
the bad ones may not be for right now, because
we talked about stuff that people are talking about now
that's the thing, and out that in twenty eighteen and
they're talking about this twenty twenty five. So there were
things we probably should have been waited for it. But

(25:31):
I mean that's what that consistency did in my book,
you know, it allowed us to keep it pushing. And
you just turn that into a whole nother field. You
heard me somewhere else Now you end up finding yourself
in a gym. You're being consistent, you know, just because
you use the formula from podcasts. You wrote stuff down

(25:53):
and you're like, you know what, I'm gonna write down
this level workout.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
I'm gonna get this going at this time. You know. Bam.
So consistency, man, it comes on way.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
He ain't lying. Yeah, I think that's the hardest thing
to do as a podcaster is be consistent. Like what
you know, what we plan on doing is releasing the
episode once a week. You know, sometimes depends on you know,
we have something real recent or like event happened, we

(26:26):
have to hop on, well, that'd be an emergency episode
you know on call. Yeah, you know that we're gonna
have to just push out sooner than later, you know
what I'm saying. So, uh, you know we're gonna uh yeah,
we we man, we plan on doing a lot.

Speaker 2 (26:49):
Were planning.

Speaker 3 (26:50):
Yeah, man, we can only have we always say it
man if uh we need to, you know because after
seeing the type of the type of crew and network
that we have within our circle, Yo, we can make
podcasts and look doper than dope. And that's just what

(27:10):
the consistency part, because all of us are developing our
own consistency in our area. So we put that all
our heads together.

Speaker 2 (27:20):
That's a wrap.

Speaker 3 (27:21):
Man, we look and be like, Yo, you heard from
the bottom.

Speaker 1 (27:28):
Oh you know I never answered, you know about the
burnout part. I wasn't gonna say I forget listen the
burnout part. That's real and podcast now, well, that's real
and content creation, you know, because you gotta come up
with ideas. You know, you probably will have an audience.

(27:50):
You know, some people gauge how good they are based
on how many people interact and listen to their stuff,
rather than to keep it pushing till people actually start
listening to them. M hm. You know. So therefore, you know,
if they setting up, you know, they going to this

(28:11):
studio that they're paying for. They bought all this podcast
when they got a podcast team, you know who put
their stuff out, and you do all you spend all
this money and all this time, and only like three
people listen to your episode. Well they kind of like
kill they move rather than you know, somebody who come

(28:33):
in with no expectations. Were they just coming in to
have fun and to talk mm hm, you know, so
they don't have they don't have those same you know,
restraints or expectations as someone else. So it makes it
way easier in my in my book, So I think

(28:53):
that's why a lot of podcasters stop doing their stuff
because sometimes it take a while before you start getting
money from this stuff. If you if you're able to
get money, you know, it takes a while before you
build an audience where people want to listen to you.
You know, you can have friends and family, but that

(29:16):
don't mean they want to listen to you when you
talk a lot of times, yeah, they don't listen to you.
Before you even leave this part and let alone you
get it and expect them to do something. But the
consistency part is I think as long as you put
something out, it's pretty good. Whether you know, you have

(29:38):
a guest, or you and your co host, or you
got to shoot something by yourself, and you're talking about
like recent events. Are you talking about a movie, You're
talking about something you know that will bring people in.
I just think that's the hardest part of just being
consistent in this stuff.

Speaker 2 (29:56):
Mm hmm. So yeah, you know that big dog.

Speaker 1 (30:04):
So yeah, you know, but we we came back, you know,
so this episode is like the first episode to try
to get you know, break the ice. So therefore there's
not gonna be a lone episode like you know we
used to do back in the day.

Speaker 3 (30:23):
You wait, so the first episode then we have to
re record it because it got deleted.

Speaker 2 (30:32):
Was it the first episode?

Speaker 1 (30:35):
I don't think the first episode, the very first episode,
the very first those electronic look, I remember that. That's bad.

Speaker 2 (30:45):
Nah, that was a gold mine right there.

Speaker 4 (30:49):
Like we were talking about this stuff back then, and
look where it's at now.

Speaker 3 (30:52):
We should probably hey, listen, that can be a topic
because now it's a lot different.

Speaker 2 (30:59):
It's way different. On the electronic love, we can do
like an intense.

Speaker 4 (31:04):
So you say, an electronic love part two.

Speaker 3 (31:06):
Man, electronic yeah, part two, mm, electronic love advance.

Speaker 1 (31:16):
