(00:17):
Hello, and welcome to get aroundto drop to the podcast. My name
is Steve and joining me as perusual, it's Cameron Bantild. How are
you doing, buddy good, Stefania, how are you today? I'm great.
The reason I was giggling as Iwent to say hello to l L
listener is you. You did thelittle hand fart thing just that as I

(00:41):
was about to talk, and youthrough me. I haven't done it for
a while, but I did justmoisturize the hands. So I thought,
you know, it's time I tellyou something else we haven't done for a
while. A fucking episode of Iknow. We're sorry about that. Yeah,
you know, Steve, we've beencomplaining. My bosses been complaining.
It's just like, when's the nextepisode coming out. I'm like, I

(01:03):
don't know. Every time we goto do something, something happens. Yeah,
I cancel because I'm just it's myfault. Everyone. It's not always
your fault. It's not Steve. It's me mainly. But I mean there
was the one time where I wasin hospital and so we had to cancel
that time. I know you haven'ttold me the whole story about that yet.

(01:25):
You were in there with what happenedright, get into it, Steve,
come on, tell us a gooduplifting story. While while we're starting,
while we're start back a back inaction. Have you ever had kidney
stones? I haven't. No,I haven't. It's so I was just
at home one night and I wasjust in there. I'm all good.
And then the next thing and Ihad this sharp pain in my lower back

(01:47):
and then it sort of worked itsway around to my right side and then
I was on the ground just itwas an eleven out of ten, was
so much pain. And my girlfriendwas again and she's just like, I've
never seen you like this before,Like this is not a joke. This
is proper bad. Anyway, getto the hospital. It's going to be

(02:09):
like a five hour wait in theemergency room. I'm sort of just in
there and then just in pain. And there was this, you know,
just the usual. It was.It was a Sunday night then, you
know, in the north. Soyeah, right, we've got a lot
of drunk people, got a lotof injured people. Anyway, we go
through and I'm in this little littlesection away and just sitting there in my

(02:32):
chair just in agony. And thereare a few interesting people in the room.
Being like a night of a weekend. There always is in emergency if
you will, ed so a dthat being eat a dick. So there
was one guy who had broken hishand because he punched someone on Chapel Street

(02:55):
who punched his car. So hegot out of his car and punched that
guy and then just punched his matefor good measure and broke his hand.
So you know, wow, thatalways happens. There was a guy next
to me who had chronic gastro anddiarrhea, and he was sort of just
explaining casual because I mean, there'sthere's only a thin curtain between you and

(03:20):
the person on the other side.Yeah, and he's just like, look,
doctor, I was like, Iwas just standing in the shower and
I was just shitting all over thewall, like it was just coming out
everywhere, and I was vomiting atthe same time. And he's just like
he'd lost eight kilos in three days. Oh geez exactly. He's just like,
I don't know what I ate.But and they're like, yeah,

(03:40):
yeah, no, that's that's notnormal. No, eight kilos, that's
yeah, he would have been closeto death. That's yeah, that's a
lot of that's f organ kidney orsomething. Yeah, like waffle stomping a
kidney down the shower. Everyone, everything's been sloppy up to an end.

(04:01):
Waffle stomping brilliant. I never heardthe term, but as soon as you
said it, I knew exactly whatyou mean. And what turns me on
about your steve your attention to waffles, our blue ones in particular. Now,
oh, I forgot about the waffles. Finally got over that. Now

(04:24):
you can't undersee it. That's goingto be a challenging wink later. Two
girls, one waffle. But sothe doctors come in and I'm just chair
and I'm just like in a lotof pain, and my girlfriend sitting there
as well, and he's come in. He's just like, oh, are
you all right. I'm like, obviously not, I'm in the hospital.

(04:44):
He's like, are you having troublelike going to the toilet, like peeing,
And I'm like, yeah, I'mhaving trouble peeing. I can't go
toy Toy, can't go to thewii Wi. So he said, all
right, cool, don't worries.I'm just gonna go grab a couple of
things and I'll be back in theme and then we'll do a prostate exam.
And then he walked off. I'mlike, what was he is he

(05:06):
getting the rubber gloves and the kwhy I didn't expect to hear that When
I woke up that morning. It'sjust like, oh, yeah, prostate
exam. I was thirty seven atthe time, now thirty eight. But
I thought you're about you say.I thought you were about to say I
was thirty seven weeks. What wereyou dilating? Something was dilating by the

(05:28):
end of the night. So I'mlike, So he asked my girlfriend to
sort of leave the area, andand I was I'm like, because I
had no time to prepare, likebecause we're not at that age where people
ask us to do prostate exams. No, no, So I'm like okay.
So he's just like all right,I was just in my box of
shorts and he's just like, okay, turn turn to your side. And

(05:51):
he's just like, oh, thisis happening. Yeah yeah, I'm like,
this is like now remember to takedeep breaths. And he's I was
like, all right, can youtake off your your boxes shorts? Right?
And in a panic, I didn'tjust drop like the backside. I
like just dropped them all and somead Dick's hanging out and he's just looked

(06:11):
at me and said, you don'tneed to have it all out, and
I'm like, okay, thank you. I panicked and then you said you've
seen mine exactly. So he thenhe did the thing exactly really yeah in
there. Yeah, but he hada good hold of me, well just

(06:33):
the one, but I wasn't going. He had one hand on my shoulder
and one hand on my knee, and he was just checking to make sure
that it was done properly, sovery thorough. A little massage and the
tension just melted away. So didhe find it? He was just like
he pulled out and it's just likeeverything seems to be fine there. I

(06:56):
mean, did he find the Gspot? Possible? You know what?
I was a bit too. Iwas a bit too nervous to even think
about that. I was just like, I literally just just met you,
and did it did it move alittle? Or did it move a little?
No? You know, you know, I think it was more out
of fear and fear it didn't moveat all. Maybe it did, I

(07:18):
don't know. I'll have to thinkback. I have to get. I've
got his number now, so computurereference. Steve's prostate is okay, yes,
so it's fine. In case anyonewanted to know, it's got a
really big thumbs up. It wasn'tthat thumb. It was definitely at least
a finger or two. We knowthat I don't like spiders, right,

(07:38):
yeah. Yeah. My other bigfear is needle spidery. I can't.
Yeah. Yeah, the cob websjust came out. Not been fucking new
eight legged thing inside me. No, that was just the doctor. So
it sounds like he has eight legs. He was. He was getting all

(07:59):
the nooks and the crannies. Soanyway, after that, they're like,
oh, we're going to do ablood test and I hate need which,
by the way, Steve, I'mpretty sure they can do a prostate examination
with a blood test these days.I didn't know that. I heard the
old finger up there is old newsand you just get a blood test.

(08:20):
So I think you've got an admirer. Maybe he's a fan of the show
and just wanted to or he didn'tappreciate something I've said on the show previously
and he's just like finger up thedate. So getting his blood test,
and the nurse is like, she'sdone all the stuff on the arm and

(08:41):
she's going to put us shunting smackin the vein, smack in the vein.
And then as she's gone to putit in, she's just like,
okay, now, small prick. And I'm like, that's what the doctor
said when I was and she laughed. I did say it out of fear.
I don't know. And she didit and she she missed and nick

(09:03):
the vein and then I started justbleeding out of the arm. So she's
had to she had to get allthis paper and she's laughing and then she's
like trying to just hold my I'mbleeding everywhere. You just hold that you
otherwise you're going to bleed out.Yeah. I mean, okay, partially
my own fault. Lucky you didn'tbleed from the other examination. I may
have. I don't know. Idon't know. I just thought it was

(09:26):
my period anyway, So a pollopanyway, pop perhaps a pollop perhaps anyway.
Then I got I got the shutdown. I hate the shunt.
I just I don't know. Andthen I had to do a cat scan
when they put this dye in meand the doctor said to me, it's

(09:46):
going to feel like you've wet yourpants. Oh right, that's what the
sensation was. And I'm like, yeah, whatever, like and then I
lay there and because it's all it'sa hospital, so COVID protocols were all
face masks the whole time. AndI lay there, He's injected this die
into my arm and I'm in theCT machine and I had this massive smirk

(10:09):
on my face because I'm like,I feel like I'm wetting myself. It
felt. I was like, thisfeels so so wrong but yet so right.
But you're dry, I'm dry, completely dry, but you feel like
you've wet. You feel like you'vewet yourself. Wow. And I was
just like, oh my god, with this sensation that I haven't felt like
for weeks, I'm feeling it rightnow in hospital. This is so weird.

(10:33):
But yeah. So anyway, along story short, kidney stones and
yet to piss it out. SoI'm waiting. Kevin's still in there.
Kevin the given the kidney stone namedhim Kevin. Have you Oh well,
mate from work had kidney stones andevery now and then you'd go, oh

(10:54):
that's Kevin, It's Kevin the kidneystone, so yours can be Kevin too.
He's taken up a bit of room, so maybe it's Kevin Spacey.
Would be the first person with KevinSpacey inside me. Now anyway, moving
forward with doctor's name, mister doctorSpacey, I think his name was doctor

(11:15):
Worm. Hello, I'm doctor Worm, Doctor Worm. I love that song.
It's been a long time since I'veheard dr Worm anyway. Long Have
you actually seen what a kidney stonelooks like under a microscopic image? Yes,
I've had a few friends. Oh, actually I sent you the photo
of what you did. Yeah,no, god, how sorry? I

(11:37):
thought you meant that what they looklike just normal, not without a microscope,
but yeah, normally it's like wow, how did that come out?
The ie of your dick? Yes, and under a microscope scope looks like
a different world, a very jagged, party sharp world. And that's going

(11:58):
to travel through your your Yeah, and every time it does, you feel
it. That would be a chapterin the Euretha Chronicles, Steve Wreath,
the Chronicles that takes me back aswell. Blink one a two, yep,
two of them two? Oh yeah, of course speaking of Blink one
A two though, Cam you're excited. Ah, too excited, Steve.
Speaking of Euretha Chronicles, we usedto wag school and go home watch the

(12:22):
DVD. Well, the first oneI had was was on VHS and the
second one was on DVD. Itwas not the best thing ever. Blink
one eight two have released new music. Yes. One More Time sees Travis
Barker's singing debut. Yes, andI think anyone who grew up listening to
Blink may have had a tear intheir eyes when they first heard it.

(12:43):
It's just it's beautifully written and justyeah, and the film clips got you
know, it goes through. It'sall the stuff you would have seen like
Unureth the Chronicles and their their filmclips and throw it back to multiple music
videos, music videos, music festwas like tour and stuff on that.
So yeah, it's so cool. And yeah, they've got another new song

(13:05):
out, Dance with Me, whichsees Travis Barker's debut on a song with
double bass pedal. Really yeah,I could be wrong. I can't confirm
this, but I don't think he'sever recorded with one Okay, always just
been him. What about live likelive as well? I remember him talking

(13:28):
about it in his book because Yeah, there's a part where he talks about
it. I never do double basspedal. I've always just done the single
and he can play double bass pedalstuff with the single foot so he just
never saw the need. But he'ssort of got in the chorus. It's
really fucking cool. It's blank pointa two. His new album One More
Time is out on October twenty. Can you must be motherflipp and looking forward

(13:52):
to this like there's the moon andhere's me. I'm just over the moon.
Yeah, I just can't wait. And yeah, those four songs have
been, yeah, on high ofrotation in the car at the moment,
So I think the kids and themisses are getting over it. But yeah,
well they don't hate it, soit's good, just like you're over

(14:13):
the moon. Yeah. Yeah.Another band that's released a new song recently
Jebba Dyer. Oh, jeb Headhas been quite a while, but they've
got their new song, come upthe Bearings. Yeah, and you know
it's classic Jebs. It's the Jebs. Jebs. The Jebs are back and
they're playing at Good Things Festival comingup in a couple of months time.
The announced a tour on the backof this new song. I haven't heard

(14:39):
anything specifically about an album yet,but it's been several years since their last
album Cousiosko, so could be infor some more new music coming from the
West. I know we mentioned itlast time about Bob Evans and Kevin Mitchell
doing their tour. So, yeah, he's going to be a busy bee.
Isn't he a busy b Indeed?I can good Things festival as well.

(15:01):
That's huge. Have we spoken aboutgood things of It's been so long
since we've done a podcast week, been so long since we've done this.
We need to stop to do apiece. And there's my kidney. He's

(15:22):
been in the hospital four or fivehours now. Never never did a think
and have finger in the bone.I just remembered why we weren't ever sings
in a fancy rest of rahwah Wan. I can't continue, came finish.

(15:46):
We need to finish this taken takebread and birto near digg and bird you
gotta fishing, never thinking beirt.I've gone Now hair, I've got no
hair, do you? Prince hadplenty of hair? Yeah? Now we're

(16:07):
doing the shadow now that makes sense? Is that version dead now? Ah?
Too soon? The only versions Iknow are Prince Sneid, O'Connor and
Chris Cornell, all three of cornNow I'm no longer singing that song.
Speaking of Chris sing that song,we'll speaking of Chris Cornell gonna gonna go
on a trip later. But we'retalking on a wall. Get to that

(16:30):
in the middle, Get to thatin the minute. That very exciting,
am I night? What else arewe talking about? Gigs? Gig?
Did the gigs you went to see? Slowly slowly in Stand Atlantic? How
is that? So good? Sogood? Sorry? Good? So?
I was at the twenty first inFrankston or the Peer I believe, and

(16:52):
they have they still have the revolvingdance floor wasn't revolving, but in the
middle they have a podium and comeout and rocked out on the podium and
singing for a bit. It wascool and Stand Atlantic awesome as always,
absolutely just pumping. Yeah. Wesaw them early early days, didn't we
see it? Yeah? And yousee them on the show, had them

(17:15):
on the show? You see themnow? They've come so far in such
a strong band, like, ohso good? Yeah. Anyway, I
went went with a few people, but one of my friends, she had
a couple of drinks and she justsaid, cam really really, because at
the end of the gig they said, oh, we're going to be the
merch ten afterwards. Come up,say get a photo and all that,

(17:37):
and she said to me, Ireally want to get a photo with them.
Do you think I'm too old? She's our age. I'm like not
at all, go for it.So we were waiting around for them to
come out. They come out anda lot of hardcore fans were there first,
getting their photos and stuff, andthere was the whole band, all
four of them. Oh nice andyou know, greeting all the fans and

(17:59):
everything, and we're standing in line. And by that time, like I'd
been to the footy that day,the Saints had lost. Yeah, damn
it. So it's a bit tired. I was ready to go home,
even though I was having an awesometime. Yeah, And she just said,
ah, you really don't think I'mtoo old to do this. And
then Ben's turned around and said you'renot too old are you talking about?

(18:22):
I'm like, oh, great, you're next for the photo. Pushed her
in and she got her photo. It was awesome. You and Ben go
way back. Anyway, we goway back, don't we, Steve,
And you've had photos with him plentyof you interviewed him a few times as
well. A few times, yeah, once over the phone that time when
we started doing phone interviews and goodthings. Well yeah, yeaheen. I

(18:47):
think it was, Yeah, thelast one before the COVID world changed forever.
Steve. Yes. Now I wentto a gig as well, would
you go see? Yes, andwith Press Club, which by the way,
I mean Press Club. I've seenthem a few times. I think
we've interviewed Natalie on the phone aswell, the lead singer. They're awesome

(19:10):
live, like just bring the fuckingatmosphere, you know, up to eleven
every time, and you know she'sout there. She was getting like she
was crowdsurfing whilst belting out a song. There's there's an art to that you
carry you can I just think youcan do that. You've got to be
able to do that. And she'sable to do that. And that's what
she did with her ability. Andif you didn't know you couldn't do that,

(19:33):
it would be too late because theonly way to know you could do
that is if you do it exactly, and she did it, which was
good and so because this is oneI think something talking about being too old
for something, whether it been gettinga photo with never there is there is
a point where you do get tooold from washing washing. Yeah. So

(19:56):
so Press Club finished and then allof a sudden, like the crowd just
all parted to go to the barand there was a spot for one person
on the barrier, dead center ofthe barrier, and I'm like, fuck,
all right, and I'm like,I don't know why I'm doing this.
I went by myself and I'm likeI've got to stand there, and

(20:19):
so I did. And DZ Deathrayscame out and brutal show. They played
for you know, hour and ahalf. Of course, Luke from a
violence bass player and he was rockingout and the whole band were four piece.
Now they are a four piece andI remember used to and their new

(20:44):
album, Riff is awesome, andthey played quite a few songs from that.
They played a track called no Sleep, which I hadn't played in years.
Well I hadn't seen him playing years, so it was awesome to the
front row for that. Lachlan theguitarist, threw a beer to me while
I was I was just like,thanks, man, I didn't the heart
to tell him I don't drink beer, but I still unrateful. I knocked
one back because I was just like, oh, I don't want him to

(21:06):
think I'm not cool. Did youhave the beer too? Oh? Speaking
of violence, I host Steve Yesten year anniversary or release of Hungry Ghosts
on the Vine. Now, didyou get yourself a copy? I did?
Oh I'm so staked, not onlythat I treated myself Steve. Yeah,
I got the package or the packageand what comes? Can you tell

(21:29):
me about your package? I cantell you about my package obviously. Is
it a small prick as well microscopicand it looks like a kidney stuff the
package? The package comes with I'mgetting the package with the skateboard deck I
had to do with Steve always wantedto skateboard. It is a cooloolah.

(21:51):
I love that artwork. The skullcoming through it's kind of through slak flames.
It looks cool and it comes withyou got to choose a t shirt.
Oh nice, And I chose atied eye hell fuck you? Oh
hell fuck yeah? Yeah, soI'm not sure where I'm going to wear
that, but oh yeah, butit's become a bit of a thing I

(22:15):
got. I got a bit excited. And as we spoke about last time,
the Living End of brought out theirdebut album twenty five years and they've
released that on vinyl. Yes,and a tour as well. Well.
A tour a one off show, one off show FESTI ha, yeah,
which we're going to Mark Yes,Motherflip and waite yep. I bought a

(22:38):
package. You brought a package again, another package. I know I never
do that stuff, but I justcouldn't think of anything better because the their
vinyl comes out obviously with the fulllength album, and then they're live at
the Wireless Set, which I couldn'tgive anything better than sitting down on me

(23:00):
nice comfy chair listening to The LivingIn live on vinyl. Absolutely, that
comes with a T shirt, socksand hat. T shirt, socks and
hats. Yeah. He's also hellfuir as well. Yeah yeah, well
of course the socks are really cool. It's got the you know, the
emblem, the drum, the bassand the guitar, and the T shirt's

(23:22):
pretty cool. It's got it's likebaby blue, so I'm like, fuck
yeah, different colored T shirt. That's why I've got the tired Eye and
the Yeah and the baby Sick ofblack T shirt Steve, Yeah, I
mean I like black T shirts. That's racist, but no, no,
of course I love black t shirts. Black t shirts matter, they do.
They have feelings too, exactly. So it's yeah, it's baby blue

(23:44):
with the living In logo on thefront and then on the back it's got
the track listings of the self titledWritten and Written, so I'm pretty excited
about that. Well, another anniversaryedition that well, it's recently come out
on Finals twenty years since The Darkness'sdebut album, Permission Only. I didn't

(24:04):
know that, And they've announced anAustralian tour and they're going to be playing
the album in full and I gottickets. It's at Fiesty Hall, Mema
made of Going the Darkness with youAm I, DZ, Death Rays and
two other artists as well. Soit's like five bands on the bill.
I thought it was like one hundredand ten bucks. That's pretty good.

(24:26):
It's pretty good festival. It isat a festival, the whole line up.
Yeah. That being said, youAm I playing a set of spinal
Tap covers. Really yeah, it'sa spinal Tap show by you Am I
that's amazing, So I'm really lookingforward to that. I do remember them
touring that like quite a few yearsago, but they're bringing it back for

(24:49):
the Darkness tour. So there yougo. That's awesome. Good on them.
Now I'm gonna I'm gonna get abit all excited here, okay,
because I've treated myself right and bloodywell deserved. Thank you. Kem wow,
bloody hard I have. And ona whim, I'm going to Las

(25:11):
Vegas. Vegas Baby, Yeah,I'm going to see Aktung Baby. The
YouTube album come out in nineteen ninetyone. Aktung Baby is being played by
the band at the Sphere in LasVegas. If you have not seen or
heard about this venue, treat yourselfhave a look on YouTube. Type in

(25:34):
the Sphere, Las Vegas. Itis. It's a sphere. There's no
other word that. I think theynailed it with the title. It is
a sphere. The building and itis covered in lights on the outside and
then on the inside it's all coveredwith lights as well and screens, so
it's all perfect shine. Yeah,it's but it's like almost three hundred and

(25:59):
sixty on the inside as well asthe outside and there's one hundred and sixty
thousand speakers on the inside, itholds around eighteen thousand people. And it
opened recently with U two doing athirty night residency, and there were a
handful of tickets left for their thirdlast show in mid December, and you

(26:21):
can only get them with like ahotel package, and so we were like,
fuck it, let's do it.Thank you, Aunt Steve. I'm
so stoked for you, Like Icouldn't think of anything more exciting for you.
That would be so cool. BecauseI saw videos of it with Aaron
Paul and Brian Krantz breaking bed yepthere and I looked at it. I'm

(26:42):
like, what the hell is thisplace? This sphere looks amazing. Yeah,
some of the stuff that they've hadon the outside of the building,
because I think it was like anthere outside and there was like the entire
screen was a basketball because you canand I saw once they had it as
a giant emoji, and it waslike it was this face that was sort

(27:04):
of like just looking around at trafficdown there and just just winking, and
just the whole building was a giantemoji. Is it on the strip?
I don't know where it is asidefrom Las Vegas. I think it's near
the Mirage. I think I don'teven know where that is. It's in
Las Vegas. That's cool because whenyou look at the stage, the stage

(27:25):
is just very simple. What's fuckall the stage? You don't need anything.
That's just something. It's something different, isn't it. Steve like,
absolutely, that's so cool. I'mso glad you're gonna you're going to do
it. Yeah, exactly and reallynot. Yeah, that's it. And
I did miss Chris Cornell earlier.I'm going I'm going to the States.

(27:45):
I've never been to the States before, well except for once. I was
there for inner Transit Lounge and laxfor like an hour. And I do
remember that because it was like ayear after nine eleven and I was with
a It was a bunch of usand one of the girls was called Jackie
and we were not allowed to sayHijackie inside the airport, you know,

(28:07):
a year after nine to eleven. It was we were explicitly told do not
say hi to Jackie. I'm notthat's not a joke. That was true,
Like that was we were told thatawesome, I am going to head
up to Seattle. I mean inthe country. Addell is Seattle. I

(28:30):
don't even have a line for that, can I get it though? Going
to Seattle, Washington and yeah,no, it's not just Washington State.
Shut the fuck up. You werethrowing me anyway. Chris Cornell of course,
like Sound Garden from their Nirvana,Pearl Jam, Presidents of the United
States of Americans to the United States. It's it's, it's gonna be It's

(28:55):
gonna be awesome. They've got abronze statue of Chris Cornell in Seattle,
so I'm definitely gonna have to geta photo of that, Gonna go up
the Space Needle, gonna go visitFrasier Crane, I'm gonna do all of
the Seattle stuff that in Seattle, was it? Oh yeah, oh baby,
I hear those blues are calling tosssalads and scrambled eggs. But yeah,

(29:15):
it's gonna be awesome. What's thereto do in Seattle apart from all
those bands were there? Yeah,I mean, I mean, I'm gonna
go try and go on a grungetour, like you know, like you
went on like a Beatles tour orsomething, didn't you. Yeah, we
similar just go visit the high lights, the low lights, you know,
and all that kind of stuff.Go to Cobain's house, the abandoned one,

(29:37):
the abandoned house. Can you gothere? Well, yeah, go
there, I do, I am. I don't know whereabouts it is,
but I'm keen. We shall seeyou find it. Yeah, I'll google
it. I get a kick outof that stuff. Not going to dead
people's houses, but I mean likefamous places exactly. That's cool. And
Seattle Seahawks, Yes, Seattle Seahawks, my NFL team that I support,

(30:00):
And there's a game that they're playingwhile we're there, so hopefully go to
that as well. Anyway, allthe music stuff, I'm going to be
posting some of the stuff onto oursocials. So you want to see small
prick anyway, So well, therewe go. Who's Who's Ghost? So

(30:22):
yeah, looking forward to that. And you can catch all of the highlights
on the Garage Rock Podcast Instagram page. Pumped for that's going to be mother
flipping awesome. Yeah, but Imean there's so many, so many gigs
coming up. Man, it's ashot, Okay, track it definitely is.
I haven't said that though, Steve. You should keep keep an eye
out to see what other gigs areon. Why you're over there? Yeah,

(30:45):
well actually going to go to theBeatles Circuitar sol a oh as well.
So, I mean, all youneed is love. Love is all
you need or you need. Isaw that show and it's so good Steve.
But there's a bit that don't wantto talk about. But I don't
want to ruin it. Yeah,I appreciate, but I will say that
it's awesome. Yeah, because itwas done like Paul and Ringo. I

(31:10):
think, like, did the musicfor that? Oh did they? Yeah?
They they they were in the band. Yeah, true, but I
think that they they put together musicfor the show. Yeah, but they
were in the band. Yeah, which band the exact same thing for So

(31:32):
I was thinking, please don't saythe Common World fan, because then that
means that I'm just as fucked upas you are. It's funny because they're
in the common They're in the CommonWalths band. Jesus Christ. People who
don't get that then don't worry aboutit. Yeah exactly. And you're either
from overseas or you're too young,so do you go? But yeah,

(31:55):
I mean I'm pushing forty now.Well, I mean we're the same both
When people ask how old, Isay, well, when people ask me
where I'm going, I tell themAustralian lighting, there you go, or
the Commonwealth Bank. Which bank? The Commonwealth back Jesus with little Dolomites account

(32:21):
with little yellow sleeve, a littleplastic Dolomite accounts. Jesus, we aren't
getting old. Is there anything?Oh? Yeah, another tour you've got?
There's so many and we can't talkabout. Everyone can't see, but
we'd like to. But one thatwe will because I'm about to say it,
Live and Incubis, Oh my lord, Steve Incus, not only live

(32:45):
in Incubus, Eskimo, Joe SuperJesus, Yes, Birds of Mother Flip
in Tokyo, Steve, Oh mygod, it's not It's unbelievable. And
not only are they playing well forMelbourn people Market Cord Arena, but you
could also go see him down atMornington Racecourse, which is like outside in

(33:06):
the grass and rocking out. Itwould be so good. I'm going to
that. You're going to that?Yeah? Yeah, I mean you've never
seen live before. No one ofthose bands we had tickets to see him,
But then go yeah, are youaware of sort of what's going on
within the band live over the pastmany years. Yes, vaguely. Let

(33:30):
me see if I get any ofthis right. Okay, So they're a
band, yes, and they mademusic. You're one hundred percent so far.
I got big, they did getbig, very big. Yeah,
And all of a sudden, lightningcrashed. Lightning did crash, and an
old mother died. Yeah, andI vaguely remember did they split up or

(33:53):
they went on hiatus? Do do? Ed? Yes? So altered doing
something singer? So and then howI'll finish and then you can correct me.
Yeah, okay, that's usually howthis show works. Yes, yes,
and then I'm pretty sure he continuedon live at some point or but

(34:14):
it was with a bunch of othermusicians. It was just him. And
then now I don't know where they'reat with all that. Okay, this
may change your mind and whether youbuy tickets, but it may not.
I don't know what it's just said. So what happened was Ed Kauwalchik and
the rest of the band like theywere suing each other, Like Ed was

(34:34):
sewing the rest of the band. The rest of the band was soon Yeah,
that's right, So Ed went Thiswas a while ago, a while
ago, maybe about close to tenyears, Ed went off and did his
solo thing and the rest of theband continued with a new singer and they
brought it. I don't remember thatthey brought in an album. I think
it was called The Turning and itwas shit, but doesn't matter. A
few years later Ed got back withthe band. They sorted their shit out,

(34:58):
probably because they realized they could makemoney together than bickering being part yeap.
So they got back together and Oras well, and that's when they
announced like the tour with Bush andStone Tiple Pilots that we were going to
go to, but then COVID,so that was Live then. Pretty much
how it happened. Ed Kalchik endedup getting fifty one percent ownership of Live
the band and booted the rest ofthe members out and got new members back

(35:23):
in and so now it's it's EdKowalcik with a bunch of randos. But
that being said, if you're goingto see the band live, which member
do you want there to be?The most? Yeah? That's it.
Like I couldn't I couldn't tell youwhat the other members look. Two of
them are called Chad and another onecalled Patrick. But there's heaves of Chad's

(35:44):
and Patrick's around. They can justget different for them. That would suck.
But well, apparently like Chad andChad hated each other by the end
of it, and they there wasa lot and then like there was an
issue with one of the managers andthey, yeah, get a room for
one Chad in this band. Yeah, and then Chad Kroger joined the band,

(36:04):
and yeah, could you imagine ifChad Kroger ended up being the new
singer of Live would actually probably work? It probably would, to be honest.
But anyway, D's back, everyoneelse is. They're touring with Incubus.
Well, thanks for clearing up thatstory, wasn't this Yeah, something
to do with religion as well asprobably he got so when Life first started,

(36:28):
he was kind of anti religion, like their first album, and then
he got ultra religious and then everythingwas about God and his daughter and how
he believes. But yeah, sothat was the story of Live in a
Nutshell. There's probably a few incorrectthings in there, but fuck it,
I'm doing the best i can withwhat I've got, and what I've got

(36:50):
is a small prick. Stephen Inever but yeah, looking forward to that
gig. Nonetheless, nonetheless, nonethelessless than none, less than less.
Well, because he's no longer RELImaybe he's got a none in his suitcase.
I don't know. I'm none thewiser. Sorry, God, that's
that's terrible. How many of theoriginal members are in this band apart from

(37:15):
you ed none? Fuck. Ithink we've hit that point where it's either
were we either hit the wall orwe get delirious, and this is what
we get. But I think thisis this has been a good We haven't
broadcast for a while, but thishas been a good on the record,
it's been I reckon about six weeksor something like that. I mean,

(37:37):
it's just been a calamity of funkups from from from one thing to another.
I'm going to do one worry.I promise we won't sing yeah anymore
anymore, none of it, dowe None of that. But right now
we're gonna We're gonna wrap this up. Any final parting words, Cameroni knows.

(38:00):
I'd just like to thank everyone forthe three people for their patients.
This episode taken a while to comeout. I'd like to thank Steve for
his patient's generosity and kidney stone jokes, and it's no joke. I'll tell
you that you need to have lesssalt and more water water exactly, less
salt, more water. Although I'vecome to your house and what have we

(38:22):
done? Eating ships? Did havesome water, so that's good. Helped.
You know what causes kidney stones? Is it like a lack of water.
It's like it's a it's a kelsiumbuilt up, I think, and
in your kidney from not having enoughwater. I do need to work on
the water, just like a ferryman. Anyway, Yes, definitely hit the

(38:49):
