tickets. No one got a ticket, and a couple people got through to
where you purchase it, but becausethere were so many people on the website,
everything moves so slowly that by thetime they got to purchase the ticket,

competitions on the radio, Like I'mdriving around at work listening to fucking double

emotional things behind her music and whythey wanted to go and stuff like that
sort of attribute to a friend,and it was very emotional that we got
got these tickets, which it wasfor a lot of people. Like the
music means so much to people,so we can relate to that. Even
though Taylor Swift is probably not ourgenre. It's not garage rock we've talked

about on the show before, butfuck she she's got some good songs and
seeing them live and seeing her liveamazing performer, amazing band. But we
were obstructed views, so we'll writebasically next to the band, in line
with the stage, and which didn'treally matter anyway, because I was watching
the drama the whole time and notthe whole time, and Taylor was out

in the on the catwalk for alot of the show anyway. Yeah,
and when you couldn't see her,you watched on the screen that was right
in front of her. Yeah,so it was. It was brilliant and
only sixty five dollars tickets. Peoplepaid eight hundred bucks and were stuck behind

lot of unhappy people with that.I think it was Missy Higgins. I
think, oh really, she hadone of those tickets and then she tried

Blink was the same when she stoppedplaying and pointed at the crowd,

with one of the girls from workand she went to the Taylor Swift gig
and she said, for her,like a lot of Taylor songs, sort
of she connects with them personally andhas a bit of an emotional connection with

them. And she said that shewas really looking forward to the gig,
but she couldn't really hear Taylor singingherself because you've got all these women around
her who were all just singing loudand as high as they could. And
she was like, it kind oftook me out of that. And she
was like, from a musical standpoint, I enjoyed the Darkness concert more than

Taylor Swift, even though Taylor Swiftwas the biggest spectacle, and I'm a
bigger Taylor Swift fan, But asfar as a concert went, because you
were just you couldn't hear at timesbecause it was just so much screaming.
It would have been like the Beatlesback in the sixties. Yeah, when
they didn't have the sound stuff thatthey have now, so you couldn't hear
anything. Yeah, we were luckyenough we could hear the people around us

weren't screaming the heads off. ButSteve, it was a beautiful vibe is
what I say. They do thiswhere you know, everyone wears the beaded
bracelets and they you go up tostrangers and you swap bracelets. Oh okay,
And like Edie was, she's mydaughter, she's twelve years old.

You know, we're walking up thestairs. First of all, she bumped
into one of her friends there andthey swapped bracelets. It's kid. And
then she walked up walking up thestairs to our seats. There was like,
I don't know, young twenty yearold two young twenty year old girls
up there and they've just started talkingto Edie and started swapping bracelets with her.

She's really friendly, joyful experience.It's all around. Everyone was happy,
everyone was dancing, everyone was singing, having a good time. It
was yeah, it was. Itwas beautiful to see. It was a
similar vibe at Blink one eight two, oh fuck yeah, except I was
much much more excited for the songs. You were the screaming little girl really

well one I sing with the tailingthing. So the tailor thing, just
that little gig that kind of cameand went and just on that steve that's
worldwide. These everyone's trying to getthe tickets worldwide. Well, the Melbourne
gig was the largest concert she's everplayed. I mean it's it's a one

hundred thousand se stadium. That's herrecord attendance and it's like a Melbourne Pride.
Brother one of the footy dads who'syeah, also the principal at the
school, he said he's been toyou know, Grand Finals at the mcgene
things like that, and he said, this compares to nothing. The atmosphere,
everything that, the sound was justamazing. Yeah, it's good time

and that was a thing. Somy partner went to see Rise Against play
at the Forum in Melbourne and inorder Oh she loved it, but in
order to get there, she hadto walk past Federation Square. For those
of you who don't know Federation Square, it's an open air area where there's
like a few cafes and restaurants,but there's also like a giant screen as

well that they have stuff on.So I went there once to watch the
World Cup soccer and it was anamazing atmosphere when we soccer was won a
game so great. Anyway, theywere live streaming her mcg gig at Federation
Square. I didn't know that,and there were to see it like the
video. Yeah, it was justthe sound. It was on the big

screen. It was on the bigscreen. I didn't know that. Yeah,
so it was like the mcg showwas up on that you could to
save yourself sixty five bucks. Buthere's the thing. She had to walk
past fed Square and it was jampacked full of people. So she walked
on the other side where there's likea church, and there were people all
over the church and the church steps, all looking into Federation Square trying to

watch it. The place was heaving, so one hundred thousand in the city
as well, you know, probablyjust because there was people outside singing along
listening. Yeah, bit nuts,But any we'll move away from Titan.

there's nothing else like that in theworld. And like we've been to hundreds
of gigs and we've talked about this. I mean, we've got a fucking
podcast about music and we're talking aboutall the gigs that we go to.
This is by far the best eventI've ever seen in my life. Honestly,

I think seeing a Sekildy premiership mightbe the only thing that could maybe
surpass that. Just being there,I mean the sphere itself, I mean
all of the screens on the inside. For those of you who don't know
what the sphere is YouTube the SphereLas Vegas, and just see some of
the stuff that the days footage,like the it's got all of the screens

on the outside, does some amazingthings and the screens are just seamless,
Like yeah, okay, the helldo they do that. Yeah, that's
a lot of pixels. It isa lot of pixels. But actually,
so when you get close to thescreen, they're actually like hockey puck sized,
oh really dots, and there's alittle bit of probably like another hockey

puck between each of them to sortof roll around the screen. But yeah,
the way it's done is superb.But the inside there's a sixteen K
resolution screen that wraps around the sideand up over the roof and inside the
stadium arena whatever you want to callit. There's one hundred and sixty thousand

speakers. There's a lot of speakers, wow, and people seat you know,
it's about eighteen thousand. Yeah,there's a bit of standing room at
the front. But we got thelast minute tickets and made a trip of
it. But yeah, the gigitself was phenomenal. The band were tight

as always. They play Joshua notJoshua Uktung Baby in full. They did
yest to finish they well, theydid like the opening track and then a
bunch of singles, and then theydid a small section of tracks from their
previous album Rattle and Hum, andthen they finished with the rest of the

album tracks from Uktung Baby, andthen the last six or seven songs were
sort of like the same every night, and that was more of a visual
thing. But it was like Elevation, Vertigo, beautiful Day Streets have no
name, like like the heavy hits, but visually there's the stuff that they
were doing with it. Yeah,I mean it was it was insane.

What's what's you two like these days? Because obviously it's it's been a minute
since you've seen them. Yeah,look and look tight as always. I
mean the drummer Larry Mullens Jr.Had Doney's shoulder. They'd already announced that

good thing and he was like aprobably like rock drummer, like he was
beating the shit out of those drums. And but yeah, just the spectacle.
They know how to command an audienceand just some of the shit that's
gone on. I'm just like lookingall over the place, like what the
fuck is going on? This isinsane. There's like just like flames shooting

from like the ground and flinging upover the roof, and the videos it
looks realistic. The screen is thatclear. It looked like there was one
song where it looked like it wasthe Las Vegas strip and there was all
the buildings behind them and there's likecars moving relection, and it looked like
it's like this looks like Las Vegas. And then the buildings start getting deconstructed,

like cranes are moving in and likeall the buildings just take them all
down, and then it's like you'rejust left with the desert. And then
these two chopped flying from the topover the night sky, and then they
did vertigo and there's all these fuckingthings. It was like, this is
fucking insane. I just hope thatthey release it on people people still use

everywhere. There's like fake Gucci andPrada handbags all on the ground, and

was this one guy who just likeset up a card table not far from

like that. Wow. But sowe went to everyone's doing in America.
The government's like, we might aswell tax it and get some money of
it. Yeah, legalizes, don'ttax anyway. So we got got some

and then then I opened my eyesand another car went past, and she
was just like giggling at that anyway, So I was just like, well,

it hit me and I just hadthis overwhelming urge to watch Fraser. So
I was like, I came outof the bathroom and you know what we
need to do? Watch Fraser.And she was like, that's a great

sitting on her bed watching Fraser onmy phone and then the next thing I

like Fraser and Niles, they're comingin screen. I'm like, oh,

we're leaving for the ice hockey inan hour. She's just like,

her on the bed. She'll befine. Anyway. She sobers up a

It was like the size of andhe was just like stroking this blanket
while he's driving, and she's justlike, what the fuck is this guy

to the we got to the icehockey and she was all good bye.
