Speaker 1 (00:22):
Hello, and welcome back to another episode of Ranger Alliance.
Of course, I'm your host Clay and with me not
like always, but substituting for the time being. Jake is
dealing with a heat wave problem and it has uh

(00:43):
short circuited his power and his internet.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
So I got Joe here today. Joe, how you doing
heat wave?

Speaker 3 (00:51):
I'm on an island in the sun. If you know that,
we can be friends? Yeah, no, Hi, good, good. But
the busy, busy time for me. Yeah, I was able
to come in for Jake. And Jake, I'm sorry that
you're that the heat is killing you out there in California. Sucks,

(01:12):
I get it.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Yeah, he texted me.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
He texted me that, of course, like he's three hours
difference than us. Yes, and he messaged me, I think, uh,
right after I finished donating. So it was like the
crack of dawn for him. It was like six or
seven o'clock for him. And he was like, hey, so, uh,

(01:37):
just letting you know this is happening. The power should
be on, but by uh, but the the internet, I
don't know what's going on. So I was like, hey,
let's just see if I could figure something out.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
So thank you. Joe for substituting.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
Uh we uh, we got a a second part, a
two partern here. It is the ending of that duology.
Before we get into that, though, I wanted to, uh
just say bravo to the production team over at Fortnite.

(02:21):
This week, it was announced that Power Rangers are gonna
be a part of the season pass for Fortnite. I
do not play Fortnite, Joe. I don't believe you played Fortnite.
I know, but I did watch the trailer for the
Fortnite season with the Power Rangers, and it did this

(02:46):
really cool transition from like gameplay to live action.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
And it was just super.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Corny, super funny, really good special effects. Like it was good.
I will say it was fun. It had nothing but nostalgia.
They did film, uh, the actual scene where they filmed
the pilot episode for Power Angers. Yeah, so I thought that.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
Was pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
You know, people who very much notice took note of
that and we're talking about it online.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
But yeah, I thought that was cool.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
I think you can have the entire MMPR team as
well as Green and the White Ranger, and I believe
that is it. It was so funny because I saw
a lot of people in the Poweringers community prior to
the actual trailer release and everything else, hearing the rumors

(03:51):
about Poweringers and every single person saying, I hope.

Speaker 2 (03:54):
It's not MMPR. I hope it's not MMPR.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
I hope, And I'm like, guys, you know exactly what
it's gonna be.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
And I will say, it actually looks really cool.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
I think it's really silly to see are Mighty morphrom
Power Rangers with like an AK forty seven and a
shotgun and like all these other things, But like the
way that game works with like emotes and everything else,
it actually works really well. They they have like a
dance move when they have like the when when they're sitting, no,

(04:29):
not sitting, that random episode where they're like dancing in
the middle of a cul de sac.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
I can't remember what episode it was.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
Oh yeah, no.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
I can't even remember the monster for.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
It, but yeah, I'm.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
Pretty sure it was on season three because it did
have the White Ranger.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
They actually have that.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
Dance emote in the game. They have the actual morph
sequenced emo in there as well. I thought that was
really cool. So yeah, really fun stuff happening with.

Speaker 2 (05:11):
With Fortnite and Power Raters.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
So other than that. We just got this episode. Yeah,
so Joe, you have been watching these episodes alongside us
with this opener.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
Well, for one, did you think the principal was like
out out? Did you think he died at the very
end of last episode?

Speaker 3 (05:45):
No, only because I watched the previous We talked about that,
you know, a couple of like two episodes back when
I was on it, I watched previews.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
We have decided to watch previews as well.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
Yes, I heard you guys on the last episode.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
Yeah, we we We took it the advice of one
of Jake's coworkers who has been watching Sintai for a
lot longer than us, and we're like, uh, you know what,
technically I can see how this goes. And honestly, I
was just watching the new season of Doctor, who still

(06:24):
have two more episodes left, and I was like, wait
a second, they do literally the exact same thing. Literally,
right as the credits start, they show like a preview
of what's.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
Happening in the very next episode.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
Yeah. And also you have to remember, and you know,
Jake's friend and you guys talked about this last episode
that this is a show made for kids. They're not
gonna kill outside of the villains. They're not gonna kill
the human characters. They'll kill the costume characters because they

(07:03):
are quote unquote the villains, the bad guys, if you will. So,
like they don't want to promote death for humans. So
the the principal being shot up and attacked and hurt,
that's one thing. Yeah, him straight up dying. I mean,
look at anime, like for anime over there, depending on

(07:27):
the show, but like most animes, in the current timeline
of anime, it is a very important plot point when
they kill someone. If they actually kill someone's usually a
like something in the past. And I'm thinking mainly like

(07:49):
one piece, like if they actually kill somebody in the
present storyline, it's a major plot point and for a reason.
And the other time that they've killed someone, the other
time someone has died because something happened, like it was
something in the past origin story stuff. Yeah, something that's
kind of similar here in in you know the SENTI.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
Yeah, for sure. I forgot to say. This episode is
titled The Gutsy.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
Police Are in the Clear.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
But I there was a lot of things.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
I will say this.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
I I messaged you when I was like kind of
saying when I was requesting your help with this episode,
I did say, hey, it's an easy watch.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
It's a very quick watch.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
This did seem a little shorter, and I think that's
more so it did go by a little quicker. I
will say, I will go ahead and take the l
My predictions, uh for this episode were way off. We

(08:55):
saw the preview of the ten red Senti Hero and
it was literally a part of the gutsy Number one battle.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
Which there is three phases in this number one battle.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
The first one was a tire pool, the second was
a survivor hurricane, which was like a fire hurricane, and
then three was basically survive.

Speaker 3 (09:34):
Yeah, basically all out ball yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
And I was a little disappointed with cou Own's appearance here.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
He didn't really do yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:49):
All he did was provide the three rings that he
ended up using those Sinti warriors for this challenge. So
I saw a lot of people saying that it was

(10:10):
very weird to see Boom Boomer and Zeo Rangers side
by side in this episode.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
I just think it's so cool.

Speaker 1 (10:17):
I for one, that being of course the representation of
mind and morphem power interest for us, and then us
starting our uh, since I, you know, journey with Boom Boomer.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
I thought that was really really cool here.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
I really liked Haru's kind of attitude towards the whole
thing and towards the class President, because this whole show
started with Haru kind of of, you know, saying that, yeah,

(11:02):
he lived off the streets, but he was kind of
a loser, and so like at one point he inspired
the class president and he's in the class President. It's like, oh,
thank you so much, Street Dog or or or Big
Loser Empire or like something like that Loser Empire, and

(11:26):
how was like, are you freaking kidding me?

Speaker 2 (11:29):
Take that? Take that back, Take that back. So I
I thought that was really fun. The all up brawl.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
Was really really cool, really cool choreographed. I really loved
the choreography with that super crisp. But I wanted to
highlight the the actual principle.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
Because his name. His actual name is Seji Taka takay
Taikaiwa is.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
A known stunt actor for many Tokusatsu roles over the years,
including a good chunk of the main high se writers.
But here's the two main roles that he has gotten
to play the face of a hero one being be
Fighter Genji in nineteen ninety six. He was one of

(12:34):
the lead heroes there, as well as now in twenty
twenty five Universe loop in Red. I thought he did great.
He played his character very well, very convincing. And I
really hope that he was in the suit then if

(12:56):
he is a stunt coordinator and a stunt actor, I
really do hope.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
Uh he was in the suit, I.

Speaker 3 (13:05):
Know held now. According to Ranger Wickie, he was.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
Not all right, let's see here. Oh yeah, I see
it now. But dude, we we got to see kind
of kind of what uh freaking oh my goodness, I

(13:35):
always forget his name. A polar Uh my, Mama Kama?

Speaker 1 (13:45):
Why he turns uh the rings blue? In this episode
we saw a purpose for them.

Speaker 3 (13:52):
Yeah, I mean he summoned so, I mean he did
he summon the ring? Or did he have that ring?

Speaker 1 (13:59):
So I thought, I thought he took those rings from.

Speaker 3 (14:06):
K Well he did. Well, that's the thing. So let's
go ahead and take an ad break right here, as
you guys know, or we don't get to control of
the ads, the vomb of the ads, how many times
they repeat themselves, We'll give you, guys a three count
and then we'll be right back three two one you got,

(14:26):
uh Takahara and oh who was the other one?

Speaker 2 (14:33):
Uh Riku.

Speaker 3 (14:36):
Takahara and Riku.

Speaker 2 (14:39):
Yuki? Sorry?

Speaker 3 (14:41):
Uh yellow or blue yellow?

Speaker 2 (14:44):
So that Isuki?

Speaker 3 (14:46):
Okay? The two of them going up against which I mean, heck,
they were kicking his ash well.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
No, no, no, yellow and blues, so it was it was
Reugi and Riku. Sorry. Yeah, Takahara was out a part
of that, Are you sure?

Speaker 3 (15:01):
Yes? I mean you probably have pulled up. But anyway, regardless,
they're going they're going up against him kicking his ass.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
And I loved that scene. But that I was also
gonna comment that in our conversation.

Speaker 3 (15:15):
Yeah, but like they they're they're they're going out of them.
And yeah, they were able to get three of the
rings I think the three that he used. Uh have
him drop those three, and then you had bear Kuma
grab it, grab the the three rings, steal them and

(15:36):
then give them to Kamade. Yep. And yeah, like Kamade
basically kind of stole the rings from those two, which
is I mean kind of kind of under handed if
you ask me.

Speaker 1 (15:51):
I mean, but also like we we've seen how like
dirty beara Kuma is so like, I totally get that
he's gonna do whatever he can to help his master
or whatever.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
But he turns the rings blue.

Speaker 1 (16:13):
Yes, and then I'm gonna give this point to I'm
gonna give half a point to Jake here because Jake thought, hey,
he's gonna the power of these rings turning blue, They're
really just gonna turn into different types of punch attacks.

Speaker 2 (16:33):
And he's not wrong, but not for Kumade himself.

Speaker 1 (16:38):
He is able to well not I don't know if
you like, has the power to or he's requesting it,
but he calls upon tegasord yeah, and everybody's like, what
the hell, why are you using tegasword. He's like, well, here,
why don't you use this? And he uses all of
the rings like you see it, like power up in
front of him or whatever.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
And they used uh tok.

Speaker 1 (17:04):
The yellow and pink trains as his arms to fight.

Speaker 3 (17:13):
Yes, which I mean. Don't get me wrong, I'm a
big fan of taking jar so seeing that one too.

Speaker 2 (17:19):
I love. I just saw today somebody posted on Twitter
somewhere the scene where they are switching the the trains
for the very first time. Loved it.

Speaker 3 (17:30):
Loved it, but no, like when he grabs when he
gets into Tega Thord and he like has all the
rings up and then he gets the the Taku Taku
one ring out, Like it seemed like he summoned that
ring with or with the other five. At least that's

(17:54):
the way it seemed. I could be wrong.

Speaker 1 (17:56):
It was weird the way that, like the sequel happened,
because yeah, it looks like he is summoning everybody, but
he's using the arms.

Speaker 3 (18:06):
Of talk you t But that's what I'm saying. Like
he had the five, but every time we see him
get a ring, he changes it to blue, right, Like
it doesn't matter however long he has the ring, he
changes the blue. So when he gets the five, he
he throws them up and then they form like a
circle and then he then we see a the talk

(18:27):
ugur ring pop up and it's a regular color.

Speaker 1 (18:31):
Oh okay, so I'm literally I'm seeing the sequence now.
It looks like it looks like they're somehow like transferring
power to the talk Huger ring.

Speaker 3 (18:41):
Yeah, which I don't, but like he doesn't have the ring,
Like that's that was the only thing I was confused about, Like.

Speaker 2 (18:48):
No, he does have the ring, so he has all
of the blue ones in one hand and then he
has the one in the other hand.

Speaker 3 (18:54):
But why didn't he transfer change that one to blue though,
like he changed all the other ones the blue could he?
So I don't know, But that's one of the things
I'm liking about Sentai is that he we know he's
changing these things to to give him power, like like
he has the power to changes. He's he's talking like
he's a god. He's he's he's saying he's a god.

(19:17):
He's trying to get these like people to worship him
like a god. And so like these rings, similar to
how these the current rings are giving Tegasword power, these
rings will give him power. So the more rings that
he has to change into blue, he'll be able to
eventually have the power to rival Tegasword eventually ultimately like

(19:46):
him not changing taking your ring into blue is confusing, But.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
But I'm but like you said, and there's always a reason.
There's always a reason.

Speaker 1 (19:58):
And if they didn't explain it in one episode, they will,
they will go back to it and talk about it.

Speaker 3 (20:03):
They almost always have. I'm still waiting on the explanation
of how the rest of the gas Eagers got out
of whatever trance I'm holding out. It's been ten episodes. Yeah,
well they still haven't said anything about it. I'm still
holding the out hope, but like I don't know, man.

Speaker 1 (20:26):
So uh so, Kumaani makes really quick work of U,
Shining Knife and Sweet Cake, and then we jump.

Speaker 3 (20:37):
Another thing where it's like how you guys gonna get
every time they you see a big battle like that,
they destroy the the other guy and then Shiny Knife
is able to and Sweetcacker is able to just still
drink back down and go back to the Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
That's what I don't really understand, is like and I
plot armor is really the yeah, the real explanation.

Speaker 2 (21:03):
But like compared to the regular no ones.

Speaker 1 (21:09):
Who have the mechs that come in and get destroyed
their episode, every every's completely destroyed and they die right.

Speaker 3 (21:15):
Like at least with with like bouquet and fire candle,
like when they're in their mechs, you see them get
you see and even even Kuon get sucked back up
into the circle go to go back to base. Like
that makes sense. Shining Life and Sweetcake are actual thing.

(21:36):
They're inside of a mech.

Speaker 2 (21:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (21:38):
So you're being destroyed. How would you back? But whatever,
I still I still like them as characters, so like
see them around them, I'm still okay with Yeah, they're
still fun.

Speaker 1 (21:51):
But we move on to the fight with the number one,
uh gutsy with a wild power Paru and of course
the President and the Class President.

Speaker 2 (22:06):
And we had this conversation.

Speaker 1 (22:10):
Because you were on the episode with us when the
Orca booster was made in full power with Haru, right,
and so I had it said, Oh, but like, could
this mean that other people use it as well? And
this is a very interesting development because I thought somebody

(22:32):
would need to be wielding it in order to get
the power up, whereas here the Orka Booster, of course,
because it has a mind of its own, flies out
of Haru's hand and gives both the President and the
Class President a power up which is essentially their battalizer

(22:59):
from their from from their seasons.

Speaker 3 (23:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
Uh. And then even Haro is like.

Speaker 1 (23:04):
Oh man, this thing is just like having a life
of its own, is doing whatever it was.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
Oh crap. But I was like, holy crap.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
So that means everybody can have a power up all
at once, essentially.

Speaker 3 (23:17):
If they want to give it to him, which I
mean great ways to sell toys exactly.

Speaker 1 (23:23):
And and the thing is it's it's it's for the
fact of like does the story need it right correct?
So like there could be a Seminu centered episode where
Haru does the wild power up and you know, Orca
Booster just flies over to Sminu and then gives her

(23:44):
a power up. You know, it all depends on the plot, honestly.

Speaker 3 (23:50):
But I also feel like with with the Gosy Yugers themselves,
their power up will be similar to Haruth, where it's
just it's gonna be like extra gold, little extra like
flare on their costume versus what the red ranges are
for other seasons.

Speaker 1 (24:09):
Class President gets freaking giants on his shoulders. The president, uh,
the principal, I say class president.

Speaker 2 (24:19):
Yeah, class President.

Speaker 1 (24:20):
And principle principal gets like these weird like shoulder pad things.
But dude, I love this power up and I love
the like almost uh like suicidal like sacrificial moment that
the class president.

Speaker 3 (24:41):
Has because he's got he's I mean, he's got guts.
He's shown that he has guts. Yeah, And I so
because what he does here is he goes behind uh,
guts the number one and grabs them from behind, and
he yells at how to be like all right, fire

(25:01):
your your gun at me, you know, and take him out.
It's a very gutsy move. And he he does, and
one Haru does it. He puts a shield between him
and one. Now here's my thing. By him doing that,
wouldn't he essentially be cutting off Gutsy's arms?

Speaker 2 (25:24):
Okay, so I saw this.

Speaker 3 (25:28):
Right, I mean honestly, it's a whatever.

Speaker 2 (25:30):
But like, so what happens is he actually.

Speaker 3 (25:37):
Or the like he kind of he gets the shot.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
Yeah, so he holding one arm and then going like this,
so the shield is still behind Gutsy. So it's it's
not it's it's not like cutting off his arm at all,
like the way the blast is. Just see Gutsy have
like a free arm and then one that's still kind

(26:04):
of like caught.

Speaker 3 (26:05):
Oh so yeah, the the class president is up well okay.

Speaker 1 (26:11):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, so yeah, yeah that's how it works.
But I I dug this. I thought it was really.

Speaker 3 (26:21):
Liked it.

Speaker 2 (26:23):
And then like.

Speaker 1 (26:25):
I think it was like the final attack. Har was
about to take him out and the principal.

Speaker 2 (26:32):
The principal just like steals his blade. He's like, yeah,
like a like a true thief and likes.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
And the thing is, uh, the story that we didn't
talk about is the whole reason.

Speaker 2 (26:45):
The principle does this is the fact that.

Speaker 1 (26:50):
Gutsy, in order to be on the earth plane, had
actually taken over his daughter and so he felt the
need to be the one to rescue her, which, if
it's a story, yeah, yeah. And the episode ends with
uh Haru being able to get both rings from the

(27:17):
class president and the principal, and even all of them
were like, Hey, are you really going to leave them defenseless?
Blah blah blah, and he's like, Hey, I don't think
they need it.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
They're good, you know.

Speaker 3 (27:26):
Yeah, I think do you think he took them or
you think they gave it to him?

Speaker 2 (27:30):
I think they gave it to him.

Speaker 3 (27:32):
I think so too.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
Yeah, Like, and I feel like there may have been
like because of the way this episode was, I don't
think it needed two parts. Like I genuinely think that
you could have cut maybe one or two of like

(27:55):
the silly school scenes in the first episode and had
this episode.

Speaker 3 (28:01):
So I disagree only because we had such serious episodes
the last couple ones. We needed a little bit of
a breather, like a full episode breather. Yeah, fun stuff,
that's true, So just like a little bit of a break.
And even this one was still kind of It wasn't

(28:22):
a serious like a serious episode. It was a lot
of fighting, and like you had talked about four, the
episode went quickly because it was literally nothing but fighting,
which kind of goes super fast. You're not wrong in
it could have been they could have narrowed it down

(28:42):
into one episode. But I will give you that. I'll
take a two part episode of Sentai over a two
part episode of Pirate Ranges any day.

Speaker 2 (28:52):
Of the week, one hundred percent.

Speaker 3 (28:55):
Because they do not know how to do two part
episodes of Pirangers.

Speaker 2 (28:59):
But I will tell you this, Joe. One thing I
forgot to mention.

Speaker 1 (29:02):
This is the first episode and like I, I can't
even say it. It is the official first episode because
Haru didn't use well, I guess the wild power up
is is a ring to transform. So I will give
you that, give myself that.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
Then this is the first episode that every single goes
to your uses a ring in the same episode.

Speaker 1 (29:33):
Oh yeah, okay, so Semino used her go on red
U Takahara used the Karami Karami Red, uh Riku used
the gal Red and Riugi used the Red Racer and

(29:54):
then of course Haru used uh the wild power up.
So yeah, I thought that was really cool, really interesting,
and yeah, I think like the the fact that Rugi
and Riku could hold their own against yeah, was actually

(30:14):
really cool. The way they busted him through the freaking
wall and he like skidded across the floor like I
was like, holy crap, like, and I honestly think it
was because they were upgraded. They had used the ring.
This is showing you the power that they get when
using the rings.

Speaker 3 (30:35):
Yeah, they that and also they are they're getting stronger,
like just not only with the rings, but like they're
they've been training. And I'm not saying that the Ring
Hunter hasn't been like he he is still getting rings
from time to time, but he's also facing off against
people who aren't aren't as trained as the ghost Eagers

(30:56):
are you know.

Speaker 2 (30:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (30:57):
So yeah, know that I good episode, really good episode.
Really liked it.

Speaker 2 (31:04):
Yeah. I really dug this as well.

Speaker 1 (31:08):
But yeah, that is that is it for this episode.
I'm looking forward to next week. It looks like, uh,
the ghosygers.

Speaker 2 (31:20):
Are entering.

Speaker 1 (31:24):
Some sort of Hollywood scenario, So that'll be fun to
see how everybody reacts to that. But yeah, uh Joe,
where can the lovely listeners uh find you?
