Speaker 1 (00:21):
Hello, and welcome back to another episode of Ranger Alliance.
Of course, I'm your host, Clay and with me like
every single week is of course, Jake, Jake, you were
missing last week for a good reason.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
You know. Uh, California, man, your weather is as.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
Unpredictable as Texas it may seem, which is wild to
even say, but I have never had to deal with, uh,
the fact that fire could essentially destroy your power and
your internet.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
So uh.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
Yeah, that sucks, man.
Speaker 4 (01:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:10):
So PGN in the area does rolling blackouts where they
just kind of shut everything off and they don't give
much of a warning. So there was actually a couple
months back where my kids were at a water park
in the same county, but like three cities over and
PG without any warning. You know that my parents had
taken my children out for the you know, a weekend
(01:31):
with the grandparents at this water park, rented a hotel
in the same park. PG proceeds to shut the power
off in the middle of the day without saying anything.
So the park was, you know, pitch black at night.
They had to refund everybody and then send everybody home.
Speaker 4 (01:44):
It was terrible. So, like it's at a constant where
the power died, the power went out.
Speaker 3 (01:50):
I don't know if it was I still don't know
if it was intentional or not, but power went out,
shouted out my eye router, and it's like the third
time that's happened with this specific MOBL router.
Speaker 4 (02:00):
So we actual upgraded one from Verizon, which is nice.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
So I haven't noticed performance feed yet, but it looks
way de fear so hopefully that'll be a better performance.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
So nice. Nice. I yeah, man, that just that absolutely sucks.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
And hopefully this is, you know, one of the last
times that the you know, router gets shorted out, because
that freagets like that's kind of like the worst fear
for me is as I am well aware of my
addiction to the Internet, whenever the power goes out and
(02:37):
I'm unable to like connect with anything, Yeah, i go
straight to like a book and everything, and I'm totally
fine there, but then like, oh, the power is back on.
When is the router gonna be fixed? When's the router
gonna be fixed? Where's the internet? Where's the internet? Where's
the internet?
Speaker 2 (02:50):
You know?
Speaker 1 (02:51):
So hopefully this is the last time for you, because
that I'm sure that was not fun with the kids either.
Speaker 4 (02:59):
Oh dude, that I was just about to say. Let
me remind you I have a seven year old and
a nine year old. I had to literally call.
Speaker 3 (03:06):
Verizon and upgrade my hot Spot data for the month
because me and my wife were providing internet for the
entire fucking house.
Speaker 4 (03:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:18):
Yeah, so luckily a little bit of insight we do.
You know, I'm coaching the seven year old soccer. We're
four and zero, completely undefeated right now, outscoring the other
teams thirty four to six.
Speaker 4 (03:31):
I can't make these stats up. We are, yeah, damn absolutely.
Speaker 3 (03:35):
Dominating the field, establishing complete and utterdominance. We showed no remorse,
no remorse, no mercy. I'm pretty much Will Ferrell and
kicking and screaming out there, and I don't care. We're
running the ship and that's how we're going to do
it for the year on out. But it's fine, Oh man,
that's important. Yeah, it's a good time. So it gets outside,
you know, a lot, a little bit more right now
(03:55):
the year than God. That's the one thing I got
going for in this past week.
Speaker 2 (03:59):
Yeah, yeah, very nice.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
Well, guys, we have a very clever but very short
episode to be talking about today.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
This episode is.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
Titled Close to the Secret. Haru Tono is a new employee.
This is episode twenty six. Of of course goes yugur
number one. This was a very fun episode. It starts
out very serious, like Haru is getting dressed talking about
(04:34):
how he was once a loser a dog, but now
you know he had all.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
These jobs going from job to job to job to job.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
But now he has a full time employment and he's
ready to work. And he's all in a suit and everything.
He looks aw snazzy with even glasses, hair slick back,
and he goes to Toy It is the official Toy
(05:13):
Entertainment Toy Tokyo Film Studio is where he's working. You
see the very classic crashing waves banner with the toy triangle.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
Is another banner that he saw.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
And the producer, the toy producer comes out.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
He's like, oh, Nubie, you're the new guy.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
Hey, you know follow me. He's like, why are you
all dressed up like that like this? That's no place
to there's no way to dress up for a place
like this. And the very next thing you see is
Haru in a very relaxed kind of like uh.
Speaker 4 (06:02):
He's Adidas fitted tracksu. Bro. It is clean, Bro, it's
nice fitted track suit is right.
Speaker 1 (06:08):
Yeah, he he looks good. He has the backwards hat
and everything.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
Uh. He's like, okay, that's a lot better.
Speaker 3 (06:16):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
So let's go get started.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
And Harry was like, oh, we're gonna we're gonna be
working on like one of those common writer shows, right uh.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
And he's like the producer's like.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
No, no, no, no, no no, like like, yeah, it's all
fun and games with that stuff, but I'm really pursuing documentaries,
like that's what we're gonna be doing right now. And
our guests are about to make their way, so you know,
let's just hurry up and go to the studio. So
they get inside and they're like, oh, the guests are here.
(06:51):
Haru give them a loud welcome, and Haru you know,
takes a bow and screams good morning. The producer does
the exact same thing. The camera pans to the left
and it's all of the other goes yougers, this was great, dude,
I actually really love this because of course, the whole
(07:15):
gimmick of this episode is Haru's like, hey, I'm a
ghost yogurt too, Like why are they getting all the treatment.
I'm a goesygur too.
Speaker 3 (07:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:29):
Yeah, And the producers like, yeah, that's you're funny. Okay, yeah,
you know, go do your job. Uh but yeah, like
like we like we said before we started recording, this
episode is really just a love letter to goes you well,
not just the ghost yugers, but also just super SINSI
(07:50):
to toty entertainment in particular.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
Right, Yes, and we just see a whole bunch of flashbacks.
Speaker 1 (07:58):
Well, we get to kind of very little touch up
on everybody's character, the reason you know they are fighting
for the rings. We get another explanation about the rings,
why they're so important. This, oddly enough, is a great
(08:20):
jumping on point for anybody who has been hesitant.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
To watch Gozie Yogur.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
For the past twenty six weeks, past thirty weeks really
why Yeah for real? But if you have been hesitant
to watch this, this episode is literally the best time
to do it because it literally just explains everything for you.
(08:53):
It explains all of the characters, It explains all of
the villains. It explained the motivations for every single character,
including Haru, his whole idea of why he didn't have
a wish, why he has a wish Now. The introduction
(09:14):
to goes of your polar It literally explains everything that
has gone on in the last twenty five episodes.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
The first half literally just felt like the recap episode,
but they did it in a fun, tasteful way where
they weren't just like, you know, there were a lot
of animes you watch, We'll just have an episode of
where it's just like kind of two characters showing clips
of like you know, they could have done that, but.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
No, yeah, like I know exactly what you're talking about.
There has been episodes of especially Naruto One Piece. There
has been episodes of Black Clover where they're talking about
you know, oh you remember when we got started with this,
and like they have like somber mus or like something
in the background with a lot of those flashbacks talking
(10:05):
about the memories and all of that. Like that is
something that very easily could have been done here, but
instead they played along with it as a.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
Quote unquote documentary.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
Now, the only thing that I feel like they did
on purpose, Like I know they did this on purpose,
and we're just waiting for the shoe to drop. Bouket
En Firecandle got onto the studio lot Ricu is there.
(10:43):
They showed plenty of footage of Ricu being you know,
that pop star, with Bouquet going all crazy over him.
She has yet to find out that he is, goes
your Blue, and when they go and fight them, they
(11:05):
are already morphed.
Speaker 2 (11:07):
They are already changed, like god damn it.
Speaker 1 (11:11):
Like like if they had, if they had only made
it a few more steps into that.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
Studio, they could have seen it. She could have seen it.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
It's right there, right, yeah, we're close.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
I feel like they're teasing it way too often. They're
going to do it.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
Something that also literally is literally playing right now on
my screen.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (11:37):
Something that they also mentioned is how the stories of
Samenu and Riku are eventually going to cross. Of course,
the great Eyed Man taking Saminu's sister, and the camera
pans to Riku and he's like, oh yeah, the gray
eyed man, and it shows flashbacks of who that character
(12:00):
is again, like they are doing these things on purpose,
they're recapping. They're showing you, hey, we haven't forgotten about
any of this. We're still moving forward with how this
story is going to you know, eventually go. But yeah, man,
Like it was a very simple episode and Eventually there
(12:26):
is a fight. Like I said, they changed. They are
fighting fire candle, they're fighting bouquet, they're fighting the no ones,
and at the end we do get.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
Finally.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
I think it was one of one of these special
no ones, one of the ones with the gold heads.
He attacks the producer. He's about to attack the producer
and he gets dodged or blocked by Haru. Haru has
(13:05):
his gauntlet, he's able to block it, and the producer's like, Nubie,
what are you doing man? And Haru immediately does his hinsion.
But I love the entire time if you pay close
attention to the very simple hinsion. The producers in the
background like, dude, what the hell are you doing? Like
why are you dancing? Like he like, just like his
(13:26):
facial expressions, his body language. It is so funny to
watch him be like what the hell are you doing?
Speaker 4 (13:33):
Yeah, this is great. I love the subtle background stuff
like that.
Speaker 2 (13:37):
It's great.
Speaker 4 (13:38):
Hey, guys, we're gonna go ahead and take our first
ad break.
Speaker 3 (13:41):
Please remember we can't control the ads or how loud
they play. So I'm gonna go ahead and give.
Speaker 4 (13:45):
You a three count and be right back.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
One two, three, and then uh, he's like the producer's like, oh, well,
if you're a ghostyugur, Like, look, what does it mean
to be a ghosugur to you?
Speaker 2 (13:58):
He's like, dude, now, is not that clearly? Yeah, it's like,
clearly this is not the right time. Uh. And again
this is like I said, he uh.
Speaker 1 (14:09):
This gives us a flashback of Haru's motivations, shows him
being in the uh no one world with the uh
the woman I forgot her name?
Speaker 4 (14:25):
I couldn't Yeah, I couldn't.
Speaker 1 (14:27):
Oh man, I I can't remember her name. We'll have
to go back and see. But uh yeah, and then
how she came back, how she ended up dying at
the hands of Kuon uh and all of that.
Speaker 2 (14:43):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
So again, really tasteful flashbacks that actually pushed the story
forward still, which I I really do appreciate. Again, shows
you Kuone, who has not been a really big part
of the story recently, reminding people, hey, still a badass.
(15:04):
He's gonna be a part of the story. Still, there's
still some unanswered things here. But then when.
Speaker 2 (15:11):
He finally does attack the.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
This no One, the producer runs away and you're like okay,
yeah whatever, like yeah, any civilian would probably run away
from a fight like this. He comes back, he's like, hey,
Toey Entertainment gave us this ring, which I thought was
(15:38):
absolutely hilarious, and they even say this is the first
Sentai ring, like this is the first team represented in
a ring.
Speaker 2 (15:55):
And so Haru takes the ring, puts it.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
On, uh, and it's really weird because it's supposed to
represent the first Sinai team, but when he does.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
The attack, it's all of the goesygers.
Speaker 1 (16:15):
Yeah, that's what I didn't really understand.
Speaker 3 (16:19):
Nothing changed is this suit didn't change into like a
different like the first, like the first Red Ranger.
Speaker 4 (16:25):
You know, nothing, nothing happened. It was just he put
the ring into the Orca Booster.
Speaker 3 (16:30):
He fired a really cool technicolored pentagon blast and it
blew a hole through the dude.
Speaker 1 (16:37):
Yeah, like the dude yelled out, uh, you know, happy
fiftieth anniversary. And the attack was called I actually have
it right here.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
Uh. He calls it Orca Booster Nova.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
Which I actually Uh, guys, you will actually see this
post on our new social media's go check out Ranger
Alliance on threads, Instagram, and Blue Sky. I got a three.
I got a HD rendition of this portion of the episode.
(17:14):
Production is amazing on this dude, like the colors, everything
looks so good, but blast them into oblivion. The dude,
literally right before he died, says please keep doing your
(17:36):
best and exploding in popularity. I didn't see that when
I when I first watched it, and then Haru the
I think it's hilarious because the the number one battle
for this episode was Haru says that at the very end,
I am the number one Toy employee, which is ironic
(18:00):
because literally literally at the very end, he is thanking
the producer like, oh, thank you for giving me this opportunity.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
Really fun.
Speaker 1 (18:12):
I can't wait to, you know, be you know that
number one employee here, I'm gonna do my.
Speaker 2 (18:16):
Best and dah dah dah.
Speaker 1 (18:18):
And he's like, you know what, yeah, you know, you're
great and everything, and that's why you're fired.
Speaker 4 (18:29):
Job buddy, You're too good for the job.
Speaker 1 (18:31):
And that's like I I actually screenshoted this part right
here where Haru's like, wait, what it's It is that
every day situation that people apply for jobs and they're like, hey,
you're overqualified for this position. Cool, then hire me so
(18:51):
I can still make a living. That's all harrum once.
God damn, there's a great.
Speaker 3 (19:00):
Way to do it, and honestly, the way that they
do it almost like I don't know about you, Clay,
but I feel like this episode almost had like some
underlying like pretext to it, Like I feel like this
might be like a halfway mark of the series.
Speaker 4 (19:14):
The way that they they did the production.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
I think, like we talked about, twenty five might be
the halfway mark.
Speaker 2 (19:22):
I think this just because of the uh it.
Speaker 1 (19:28):
Being the quote unquote anniversary episode and all of that stuff.
This I would not be surprised if later down the
line somebody's like, oh, yeah, this is our midway point,
Like even at the when we're at the very end,
if we add all the episodes up and say, okay,
the midway point would be here, I would not be
(19:49):
surprised if this is the actual like mid season.
Speaker 3 (19:53):
I'm gonna make two predictions right here, right now, real fast,
off this conversation. One little bit minor, but I'm gonna
say that Haru is no longer going to be applying
for jobs and looking for jobs. I think he is
done doing that little.
Speaker 4 (20:06):
That gimmick is over.
Speaker 3 (20:07):
Now that he's been he's become the number one employee,
and he's been fired from toe.
Speaker 4 (20:12):
I think I think that's it. I think he doesn't
go any further along.
Speaker 2 (20:15):
He's made it.
Speaker 4 (20:16):
Man, that done. He's reached the top of the mountain.
He's good.
Speaker 3 (20:23):
But then my other perion is that the final episode
count for the series will be fifty three.
Speaker 2 (20:29):
Fifty three.
Speaker 4 (20:30):
Okay, that's my number here to here or out.
Speaker 1 (20:33):
Okay, I'm gonna say, I'm gonna go I'm gonna go
two more.
Speaker 2 (20:37):
I'm gonna say fifty five. It's the final count.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
But also one thing to note, I think this will
also be like the end of the gimmick, because of
course the producer does say like, hey, like you have
to go out there and protect people and do all
these things. This episode once again reminded us that not
(21:04):
only are our ghost Yugers a team, but they are
also aiming to get all of the rings themselves. So, like,
I do think that there might start to be a
little bit more tension on that aspect of this season.
(21:26):
I think it may start out as something as simple
as like like because like we we follow the Ranger
Wiki and after every single episode we look and it
has the actual ring count of everybody who has every
ring right, and now of course Haru has the new
(21:47):
I think it was the is it the the go
Ringer ring now, which now puts him at one to three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen,
(22:09):
fourteen fourteen rings.
Speaker 4 (22:13):
Jeus, Yeah, so he's giving money yep.
Speaker 1 (22:19):
Now the Wild Goes You Wolf is actually just like
the upgraded ring, like the Wild upgrade ring, but it's
still a ring, so I'm counting it as fourteen. So
without the upgrade ring from the Orcha Booster, it's thirteen.
So it might even like as subtlety as subtle as
(22:45):
starting out the conversation of like them counting out their
rings and comparing, like I think there will be an
episode soon where they finally start to realize like, oh,
Haru has more rings than me, because even I think
it was Semino this episode was like, well, yeah, we
just take the rings, Like did you notice that she's
(23:07):
she said that at one point. She she didn't say
like there was like a contract or anything of any type, like,
because I think the question was like, oh well how
do you get the rings?
Speaker 2 (23:19):
Oh? Well, we just take them. So like what does
that mean?
Speaker 1 (23:25):
Like we know that rings have been given to them,
rings have been taken, but like, are we going to
see a little bit more aggression towards that, you know,
which will be really interesting if we do see that.
Speaker 4 (23:45):
No, I agree, that'll be uh. I think we might be.
Speaker 3 (23:48):
I would like to see, like within the last final
ten to twelve episodes, maybe those first five to six,
like an internal CONFI looked amongst the Rangers while this,
you know, ultimate like peril is building up in the
background and this you know, they're distracted, they're real evil,
(24:09):
whatever the Bretons are doing, whatever taking Gin's up to,
and then like the last few episodes, they realize, oh shit, okay.
Speaker 4 (24:16):
We can't be doing this. We've got to deal with this.
Fuck the rings, fuck the Wishes, deal with this. One
of us will win. I don't know, maybe, or maybe
it'll be the opposite.
Speaker 3 (24:25):
Maybe they see the last ten episodes they deal with
the situation, and then the last five or like a
battle royal amongst the Rangers, which would also be amazing.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
I think, yeah, yeah, I think so too.
Speaker 3 (24:39):
Way the slices, it would be a great ending. We're
you know, building up to it's a great series.
Speaker 1 (24:44):
Yeah yeah, so yeah, guys, that is it for this episode.
Very short, but still a very fun part of the series.
Next week, I will be completely honest. Uh, I kind
of stopped after I actually didn't watch the previews so
(25:05):
real quick. So uh next episode is when the battle
get rich quick, so Goodburn's gonna be here. Kuma is
gonna be a pretty big part of this of the episode.
Speaker 2 (25:22):
It looks like and was that the mob was that
money laundering? What the hell is going.
Speaker 4 (25:27):
On, dude?
Speaker 3 (25:29):
So it looks like we're gonna find out some shady
stuff about coup owns company.
Speaker 2 (25:35):
So oh yeah, the AI company. So hmmm, we'll find out.
Maybe maybe it's just.
Speaker 1 (25:44):
A small little uh foothold into bringing him back into
the story again for sure.
Speaker 4 (25:51):
I think.
Speaker 2 (25:52):
So that's very nice.
Speaker 4 (25:54):
I think we're building up to the climax here.
Speaker 1 (25:58):
Yeah, very all right, guys, Well, thank you so much
for being here. Uh Jack, where can the lovely listeners
find you?
Speaker 2 (26:10):
Follow you? And what have you been up to?
Speaker 1 (26:12):
You know?
Speaker 3 (26:13):
Lately, just been dominating the soccer field Saturday mornings, like
I mentioned earlier. But other than that, just kind of
you know, doing going back to doing a little cybersecurity
stuff in schooling, working and doing a one piece of
gun dump. Check out nerd Grounds TCG Nerd Grounds a
lot on Instagram.
Speaker 4 (26:31):
Yeah, there's a fun stuff over there.
Speaker 2 (26:33):
Very nice.
Speaker 1 (26:34):
Now, of course, guys, you can always find me at
fanboy Clay on any and all social media. Now starting
today as the time you were listening to this, because
literally the time that we are recording. Immediately after this,
I'm going to be creating Ranger Alliance Thread's account, Instagram account,
(26:57):
and Blue Sky accounts.
Speaker 2 (26:58):
Uh. And if you like.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
Our content, I'll be posting some clips from us actually.
Speaker 2 (27:05):
Talking to.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
You know, gifts and clips from the show, memes and
all that stuff. What I'm really trying to do is
get us a decent following and see if we can't have,
you know, maybe special guests from another Sini podcast, you know,
come join us and all that jazz. So I got
(27:31):
a little bit more time on my hands to kind
of focus on the podcast and I would like to
do that. So I'm going to do that in the
next few weeks. But thank you guys so much for
being here, and remember made the power protect you
