Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Force will be with you always. Hello, everyone, Welcome

(00:21):
back to another episode.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Of Star Wars Lions your home on Keek Ultimate Liance
Podcast Network, where today, guys, we are going to be
talking about the latest and greatest in Star Wars.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
News, which would in fact be an Adam Driver interview.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
I did not see this happening.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
But we will also be talking about the Last Order,
which is the new book by Kwame Mabalia, which came
out yesterday as of the recording, so it came out
October twenty. First, we have a review for that for
you guys. If you were here live, you're going to
be seeing both episodes. If you were on the podcast feeds,
we have split the episodes up to make things a

(01:04):
little bit easier on you guys, because the hunt for
Biden solo could consume a ginormous amount of time.

Speaker 4 (01:12):
So yeah, sorry, I just I completely understand. And when
you say that you did not expect this, I don't
think anybody expect this. This hit us like a train.

(01:32):
And when I say us, I think as a collective
planet Earth, because I don't think I have ever seen
my feed unified income like in completion like I did yesterday. Uh,

(01:52):
this is abst.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
This interview has been I would say, with my limited
amounts of social media that I still consume this Hunt
for Ben Solo interview has been talked about more than
the Mandalorian and Grogu trailer.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
Yes, at least, I'm not even joking.

Speaker 4 (02:16):
I need to I think maybe after this recording, well,
I don't know. I want to see I want to
do a small little search, like do you know how
people look at the like the Google analytics for like
searches and stuff. I want to see Mandalorian Grogu from

(02:40):
the announcement, like just twenty four hours to see what
that looks like compared to this interview, the Hunt for
Ben Solo and it's last twenty four hours. Because you
are one hundred percent correct, we have not seen a

(03:02):
lot of enthusiasm over all the other Star Wars projects
comparatively to this. Don't get me wrong. People got excited
for Starfighter, people got excited for Ryan Gosling. There was
a week long conversation about Amy Adams and the possibility

(03:26):
of her being mar Jade. This is all true. But
the fact that we like have seen just a furious
wave of people talking about this is absolutely insane.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
Yeah, because you think about it.

Speaker 5 (03:54):
And a lot of the rumor with the Rise of
Skywalker with him dying was the fact that it was
rumored that Adam Driver wanted out that he was very
similar to Harrison Ford only wanted to do the three
movies and kind of be done. So to find out

(04:16):
that he concocted this thing back in twenty twenty one
and then brought in Stephen Solderberr and guys, let me
tell you, I don't know if I've seen the Stephen
Soderberg movie, just being real, but I know what caliber
of filmmaker the dude.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
Is, So I will be completely honest, I don't know
who this person is, but everybody and their grandmother is
saying that this would have been the greatest movie of
all time just because he was attached to it.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Okay, so here we go. Okay, so I actually have
seen his movies, because he's done the Ocean's movies, so
Ocean's eleven, Oceans twelve, Oceans thirteen, and actually I think
he did Oceans eight as well, but actually though he
did not. Okay, he's done Magic Mike, which I have

(05:15):
also seen, and he has done Logan Lucky the other
ones that are kind of relevant is Contagion. King of
the Hill, I think is a popular movie. But then
that's all I'm kind of seeing recently, or that's all

(05:37):
I really know of recently. But the dude is known
for being like a hot commodity, and I want to
say that he has also been known for coming in
under budget on pictures. Okay, so I don't know that

(06:01):
for certain. I was trying to find a source, but
I had heard that, and so I don't exactly know
that for certain. I'm just so sad that this is
not going to be a thing, because that's what Adam
Driver says at the end of the interview of the quote.
He said, it was called The Hunt for Been Solo

(06:25):
and it was really cool, but it is no more,
so I can finally talk about it, and to me, honest,
this does kind of feel Deadpool esque.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
That is the talk of the town today. Everyone that
I have seen recently has made a post about like, oh,
let's hope that Adam Driver just broke the biggest NDA
possible so that way this can actually move forward. I

(06:58):
don't know entirely how that works, So I don't know
if him talking about it would legitimately make something happen.
But the fact that he came out and said this
and then we the biggest news around this, I think

(07:24):
more so than just the fact that hey, we could
have gotten a Kaylo rinn Ben solo like character driven
movie is the fact that we are also seeing that
all of the animosity that we have had towards lucasfilm.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
Let's finish with Steven starterbusht.

Speaker 4 (07:45):
Quote Okay, okay, and then we'll.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
Jump to that part of it, because that's going to
totally derail us off top, so very true. I just
want to make sure we're getting the context of things first.
So Stephen Soderber was not part of this interview originally,
but he said in a statement, I really enjoyed making

(08:08):
the movie in my head. I'm just sorry the fans
won't get to see it. LUCASILM and Disby very specific there.
Two different sources declined to comment to Associated Press, and
they have also reached out to Burns's team for comment.
Burns was so Steven Soderberg was going to direct and

(08:28):
kind of came up with the storyboard Scott Z Burns
after Soderber and Rebecca Blunt and Driver outlined the story
for Kathleen Kennedy, carried Back and Dave Filoni. They approved
the story to go forward, and so Scott z Burns
wrote a script that Driver called one of the coolest

(08:50):
exploitive scripts I have ever been a part of. It
was motivated by Drivers thought that there was unfinished business
with Ben Solo at the end of the third movie.
And guys, this is an audio only interview. I could
not find an Associated Press transcript, so we're getting these
quotes off of Star Wars News.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
Nut. You guys can go find that article.

Speaker 4 (09:15):
I actually have the the Associated Press article in front
of me.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
They did a transcript. I had looked for their transcript. Oh,
they added it because it got so popular. That's what
it is.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
Yeah. I am actually gonna put it into our little
chat here so that way you can jump on this.
But yeah, so it says here it can finally talk
about it. Blah blah blah. It says for Driver who

(09:50):
start in Starter Bros. Twenty seventeen highst comedy logan Lucky.
The title sounded familiar, but I have no idea what
that is.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
That's the Cowboy flick with James Bond actor.

Speaker 4 (10:08):
Uh okay, okay, okay uh. The decision was mystifying who
wouldn't want to see a soder Boro directed Star Wars film,
which was the quote, we want to be judicial about
how to spend money and be economical with it and
do it for less and most than most, but in

(10:29):
the same spirit of what the movies are, which is
handmade and character driven. Driver says, Empire strikes back being
in my opinion, the standard of what those movies were.
But he is to me one of my favorite directors
of all time. He lives his code, lives his ethics,
and doesn't compromise.

Speaker 1 (10:50):
Which we can definitely appreciate in a director nowadays, especially
with how Disney Lucasfilm have been towards directors. And it
is hard to say Lucasfilm because of what else is
presented in Adam Driver's quote. But we're gonna finish this

(11:13):
up before we dive into that piece. And obviously we
know Kathleen Kennedy is supposed to be stepping down at
the end of the year to go back to solely
producing and not leading Lucasfilm, so it's super interesting to
see for sure. And Driver said, I always was interested

(11:37):
in doing another Star Wars. I had been talking about
doing another one since twenty twenty one. Kathleen Kennedy had
reached out. I always said, with a great director and
a great story, I'd be there in a second. I
loved that character and loved playing him. This is like
brand new information. That was my first reaction when you
sent me a text was like check the gua chat
And I was like, what am I.

Speaker 3 (11:57):
Supposed to be checking for? GUH?

Speaker 1 (12:00):
I wasn't expecting any Star Wars news and what would
behold well?

Speaker 4 (12:06):
Because the really funny thing is it because everyone really
associated Adam Driver's comments towards the franchise itself. Everybody's like, oh,
he is just like Ford. He hates the franchise, he
wants to move on. He's doing this for a paycheck
and then he's gonna go do oscar bait movies like

(12:29):
this is who Adam Driver is, right, And people don't
understand that people can change, people can fall in love
with a genre. This is what happens to many people
throughout history, like as far as like me, like, I've
always loved Star Wars, but I have never been this
much of a Star Wars fan until I started Star

(12:53):
Wars Alliance with Katie. So when I saw this, there
was there's a lot of emotions throughout the internet. Like
I was saying before, with that, I am looking at
some of the things that were said. I think this

(13:23):
would be a good time to kind of transition into
some of the tidbits. Not everything, but one of the
biggest things, uh, is the comments that Iiger had said
as the quote unquote excuse to why this movie isn't

(13:45):
being made in the first place.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
People, Hey, guys, we're gonna talk about Bob Iiger and
Kathleen Kennedy and lucasfilm versus Disney apparently here because that
is like the next big topic of this we're gonna
dive into. We also have a pee like a area
where we're going to talk about how we think Ben
Sola would be alive after we get done with Bob
Eyer and Kathleen Kenry. I'm trying to direct. That's a

(14:07):
little bit.

Speaker 4 (14:08):
And yes, because it's so I thank you because I
I was going into today just completely worried about how
derailed we were going to get in this conversation. So
thank you.

Speaker 3 (14:24):
We have to stay focused.

Speaker 4 (14:26):
Yes, so thank you for keeping us on track. Oh guys, well.

Speaker 1 (14:31):
Driver said in his quote with the interview, he said,
we presented the script to Lucashng. They loved the idea.
They totally understood our angle and why we were doing it.
We took it to Bob Iger and Alan Bergman and
they said no, they didn't see how Ben Sola was alive,
and that was that. So Adam Driver said he started

(14:52):
this in twenty twenty one, just kind of sketching a
timeline here for you guys. Bob Iiger came back to
Disney in twenty twenty too, so you're looking probably in
a winter twenty twenty two time frame, summer twenty twenty
three timeframe for when.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
This decision was made.

Speaker 1 (15:12):
So it has been two years since this was kind
of talking about, which probably honestly might be why he
said it, because an NDA has expirations on it for
some things.

Speaker 4 (15:23):
So the quote that Driver had said here, he said,
we took it to Bob Igert and Alan Bergman and
they said no, they didn't see how Ben Solo was alive,
and that was that. Now we I I when I

(15:52):
saw this quote, I wanted to throw my phone, but
I knew I had to trade it in to get
my new phone, which I got today, and so I
was like, that is a load of BS because the
one franchise that literally has had how many people quote

(16:13):
unquote come back from the.

Speaker 3 (16:15):
Dead, and we'll we'll reveal names and everything.

Speaker 4 (16:19):
Else, and we will we will discuss that portion. But
just seeing that, I said, that's a BS excuse. And
then I took it even further. I said, you don't
even have to look at Star Wars. Just look at
other Disney productions where they said, that's fine, Robert Downey
Junior is back of Disney. Exactly get creative, because I

(16:45):
even said it in the Star Wars Alliance chat, I said,
Robert Downey Junior is coming back as Doom, Hugh Jackman
is back as Wolverine. You look at what is possibly
going to be probably the biggest comeback of Marvel cinematic
history with both Doomsday and Secret Wars. All those characters

(17:08):
are presumably dead because you know spoilers for people who
haven't seen the X Men films, they're that that timeline
is literally like destroyed and dead. So like they're like
it doesn't Like I just like wanted to like itch
my head and just like scream.

Speaker 1 (17:28):
It is very dumb. And Bob Iger has gotten a
lot of praise for some of the moves that he
chose to do with Disney, plus coming back to be
Disney CEO because the other guy had kind of prophets
were taking a dive. So people like, oh, Bob Iger's
gonna save.

Speaker 4 (17:48):
Us bad Bob number one Iiger I have dubbed bad
Bob number two yep.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
Because and you look at it and a lot of
people and we're not gonna name YouTubers on here who
like to blame mss Kennedy, but you look at people
who are like, Kathleen Kennedy is the problem. And have
we questioned Kathleen Kennedy, Yes, yes, but we have never

(18:18):
said like you're the You're the main problem here. We
knew that Disney probably had some influence here, definitely had
some influence here. Let's be real, we just didn't know
to what extint. Because you hear Kevin Fikey talk about
Marvel and you never really hear about Bob Iiger or

(18:39):
Alan Berkman coming into the equation here. It's like Bob,
It's like Disney said, and this is probably why why
Lukasholm has struggled to put movies out is because Disney said, no,
you're on a tight rope. You don't get the capability
to make your own decisions anymore. You have to come
get everything aproved through us.

Speaker 4 (19:01):
Which if I had heard that, I would be hiring
every lawyer that I could to say, hey, how do
we get out of every contract that we have with
Disney and let's go somewhere else. That's my biggest thing.

Speaker 1 (19:19):
Yeah, he The problem is and this is another thing
that we were supposed to talk about this week, but
like George Lucas, George Lucas sold Lucasfilm to Disney. Disney
owns Lucasfilm. George Lucas was asked, do you ever think
about Star Wars and go No, not really.

Speaker 4 (19:36):
I love the quote that you shared in the In
the chat, it was like, oh, you know, it was
basically I had my time to shine. I did what
I want to do with Star Wars. I have a
life was like another part of the quote, which I
like just cackled at because there, I think we have
said it so many times that there's so many people

(19:58):
who live live then breathe by if it's not Lucas,
it's not Star Wars. And to hear that, I'm pretty
sure got a lot of people pissed off. But with
the you are right, they can't just up and walk away.
It is something that Disney owns. My biggest thing is,

(20:25):
you know, I I talked to to the g U
a uh throughout you know, the day when when all
of this hit, I'm like, Okay, who is it? Who
who needs to buy lucasfilm away from Disney so we
can actually start making movies and have a good time.
And of course Travis had his opinions, and I think

(20:51):
the like majority of the g U A kind of
agreed on. I think Apple should take it. And it's
more so majorly because they don't have like IP status.

Speaker 1 (21:07):
Yeah, and it would benefit them a lot, but like,
I don't see it happening. This film would have to
take a major dive in order for things to happen
for it to be sold off.

Speaker 4 (21:26):
Now, there has been for many many years now, I
want to say almost ten years, if not more, there
has been like like people have constantly said, oh, Apple's
getting ready to buy Disney. Apple's gonna buy Disney, Apple's
gonna buy Disney, and we have yet to really see it,

(21:46):
and we have yet to really see Apple make any
moves to make it look like they are interested in
buying Disney. A lot of this came from, of course,
Disney actually putting in a lot of Apple products within
their uh parks and stuff, and everybody's like, oh, this

(22:11):
is like the big thing. They're gonna, you know, make
everything Apple compatible, and then Apple's gonna buy it, and
it's gonna be this giant, you know, fun thing. And
I mean people can dream and all and and I
think it would be really fun. Do you know how
quickly I would buy a Star Wars themed iPhone? Like
I'm sorry, I would. And I really really wonder what

(22:40):
is going to happen next year, because I think I
saw like maybe two or three posts of random individuals
pointing out that Eiger a while ago had initially said, Hey,
I'm coming back to help his knee get back up

(23:01):
on its feet, but I'm not going to stay.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
And that was three years ago, almost.

Speaker 4 (23:09):
Four that that is true, So he could, you know,
just be like, hey, I'm planting my flag and I'm
never leaving, but who knows, we'll see.

Speaker 1 (23:24):
Yeah, And I truly would hope that this is because
maybe Kennedy, maybe Kathleen Kennedy is being forced out, and
maybe drivers like now I'm gonna throw a wrench in
the in the plans, I'm gonna light a fire. We're
gonna see how this works. I just hope, and I

(23:48):
know it's not gonna happen, because there's still going to
be people who were like Kathleen Kennedy is the devil.
No you can question without being insulting. And Kathleen Kennedy
is a powerful filmmaker who deserves the spot that she got.

Speaker 4 (24:02):
We've had our opinions on some of the decisions that
they have made that have been like said to have
been Kathleen's decision, right, We've had those conversations. We've been
negative on those decisions. I would never, ever, if I

(24:25):
had the chance to talk to her, just be like, Hey,
you're a horrible human being for destroying Star Wars, which
I know there's a lot of people who crazy enough
are wanting the opportunity to do, and I think that's stupid.
She is a hard worker. She's gotten to where she's
gotten today because of her talent and her experience, and

(24:47):
I would love for Adam Driver to do exactly that,
to be like, hey, I want to light this fire
just to kind of see what happened. And like a
part of me thinks, like I I have not seen

(25:09):
a majority of Drivers films outside of Star Wars, But
correct me if I'm wrong. I'm pretty sure, like the
last two have not been super blockbusters the way that
everybody was assuming they were going to be. Let's look,

(25:30):
I think, like Megalopolis, if I could talk, Megaalopolis was
like one of the biggest ones, and.

Speaker 1 (25:45):
I feel like Ferrari was popular. Definitely was not. So
it's Ferrari and then sixty five, which I enjoyed sixty five.
Sixty five was fun.

Speaker 4 (26:00):
Sixty five was the Dinosaur one, right, Yeah, See, I
think there's like a lot of people who were kind
of iffy on that one. I don't think it did
very well or at least like it didn't need expectations.
So that's what I mean. Like, of course, when it

(26:21):
comes to Hollywood and these what I like to dub
it actors, you see them a lot like they're they
will have a string of really good roles that come
in like one after the other, and you constantly see
them throughout the theater and you're like, Okay, Hollywood is

(26:43):
really betting on this person. That means they're really wanting
to invest in that actor, getting a lot of money
and everything else. And with two out of the three
not being giant hits, Like I can almost see Adam
Driver saying hey, not saying like I'm not I'm not

(27:08):
questioning his ability to act, because I know he can
act like crazy, but like, hey, my non Star Wars
related stuff has not been hitting lately. Let's try to
go back to Star Wars. Hey, what if I throw
this like hey, like like just just like an hail Mary, like, hey,
maybe this will get me something type of thing.

Speaker 1 (27:31):
Yeah, because I feel like Last Duel and House of
Gucci were super popular, and that would have been around
the time he proposed the Haunt for NZLO initially, but yeah,
then coming in with twenty twenty three, he had two
movies and then Megalopolis he had was in twenty twenty four.

(27:55):
So then now Katie, he's currently promoting father, mother, sister, brother.

Speaker 4 (28:01):
You you shared a let me see if I can
find it. There was something here or maybe I shared it.
I can't remember where it is, but there was something
along the lines of, oh shit, I can't find it anymore. Oh.

(28:26):
I think it was in the regular chat, the gay
chat apparently like there was a hunt for Ben Solo,
like fan made trailer made in twenty twenty one and
somebody like shared it online and they're like, Adam, are
you among us? Are you? Are you here with us?

(28:51):
I thought that was absolutely hilarious. I do have a
little bit of a tinfoil hat that, like a majority
of Hollywood has like their own personal like fake Twitter

(29:12):
accounts and Instagram accounts and everything else, so that way
they can be a little bit quote unquote normal on
social media. So I'm sure, I'm sure that made its rounds.
I well, here's here's another thing, because a lot of
people have kind of made fun of the title. How
do you feel about the Hunt for Ben Solo?

Speaker 1 (29:35):
I don't really feel like it's a bad title, and
I think it would have been workshopped probably into something else.
But I don't hate it. And this can probably transition
us into the last kind of piece of it is like,
how do we think Ben Solo and so be alive?
The answer is Star Wars is sci fi fantasy? Is

(30:00):
there is magic.

Speaker 3 (30:01):
It's not just.

Speaker 1 (30:03):
All fun fun games, but I think I was trying
to find it. So you have mal who has returned
from the dead, you have Palpatine who has returned from
the dead, with simply a somehow Palpatine has returned.

Speaker 4 (30:23):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 1 (30:24):
You can't just say, hey, somehow Ben solo has returned.

Speaker 4 (30:29):
I have one even better one that I have been
asking for my entire time on Star Wars Alliance. I
have been asking for this for five years. Five years, Katie,
I have been asking for this, and I think we

(30:50):
can finally get it.

Speaker 3 (30:53):
The world between worlds.

Speaker 4 (30:55):
The world between worlds well, And.

Speaker 1 (30:59):
I think the other thing to consider, right is that
they are defined. Ray and Ben are defined as a
force diad yes to the point where Ray puts a
lightsaber behind her back and it ends up in Ben's hands.
You can't tell me that you can't go weibbly wobbly timey,

(31:24):
whymy he vanished? And her whole goal is now going
to be finding Ben's solo because he still exists in
her heart and he's out there without his memories, and
so she has to find him and restore him back
to life that he is meant to live. Because the
other thing. The other thing is that he's not a

(31:47):
fucking force ghost at the end of the Rise of Skywalker,
So why the fuck did he disappear?

Speaker 3 (31:54):
We've had this conversation before.

Speaker 4 (31:56):
Yes, it was a while ago, but yes, yes, like
the the fact that he does literally just disappear. Allah
Yoda allah freaking uh uh Luke Skywalker uh freaking obi

(32:18):
wan kenobi. Like we didn't see any evidence afterward. Leah
Leyo was a forest ghost. Skywalker was a forest ghost.
You would think you would think that if you saw
Luke Skywalker and Leah that there would be some sort

(32:42):
of inkling. And I get it. Ben was a solo,
and so at the very end of the movie they
wanted to really kick home the whole idea of oh,
I'm a Skywalker. Now I totally understand.

Speaker 1 (32:55):
Leyo was a solo. Yeah, Leya was never a Skywalker.

Speaker 4 (33:00):
That is also true. So it like, there is so
much that like you not even so much. There is
literally so little that you have to do in order
to make this movie happen.

Speaker 1 (33:17):
And it goes back to the Rise of Skywalker entirely.
I had forgotten this. I can't find the tweet now,
but somebody had brought it up that JJ Abrams actually
did an interview about the Rise of Skywalker and where
he said, I would like to delay the film's release
so that we can rewrite the script properly to account

(33:39):
for Carrie Fisher's passing. He wanted to do the end
very differently, apparently, and Bob Iger was the one who
told him, no, you will do it this way.

Speaker 3 (33:51):
Not Kathleen Kennedy.

Speaker 1 (33:53):
Bob.

Speaker 4 (33:57):
I did not know that. I did not know that
he wanted to delay the film. I'm just randomly looking
to see if there was any top tweet currently that
talked about JJ Abrams. Uh, not that I see, but.

Speaker 1 (34:22):
The something that Okay, so it says, so this is
a screen rant vertical summarizing how bad movies are made,
featuring the Rise of Skywalker and said Abrams and Terrario's
first draft of the story featured Rose staying behind from

(34:42):
the mission, which was pitched to Bob Eiger on the
same day as the last Jedi premiere before any backlash.
Abrams pitching to Eiger in December twenty seventeen meant that
he had come up with a new story for the
film just four months after being hired. Okay had twenty
seven months to work on the film, as opposed to

(35:04):
the thirty six he had on The Force Awakens in
the forty one months that Ryan Johnson had for The
Last Jedi. The video highlights that, despite popular belief, there
were elements that were planned out for the trilogy in
twenty fourteen, namely the idea of Ray adopting the last
name of Skywalker and Leah being key to Kylo's redemption.

Speaker 3 (35:28):
That's all it, says Okay.

Speaker 4 (35:30):
Okay. Now, I also wanted to uh because I just
thought this was also really funny. The uh director, how
do you pronounce his name again? Soda Soderberg? Soderberg Soderbergh. Sorry,

(35:54):
somebody had mentioned that I'm guessing on his letterbox that
he clocked like all of the movies, all the Star
Wars movies that he had watched recently, and there is

(36:18):
apparently a huge gap. So in twenty sixteen, Force Awakens,
twenty sixteen, Rogue one, twenty seventeen, Last Jedi, twenty twenty one,
A New Hope, and then February of twenty four, September
twenty fourth, December twenty four are all of the prequel

(36:45):
and original trilogies, so he specifically did not watch Rise
of Skywalker like he intentionally let that went off of this,
But people are noticing the gap between twenty one or

(37:09):
twenty twenty one all the way to so it's February
twenty twenty one and then February of twenty twenty four.
And you had mentioned that there was a possibility of
there being a pitch in early to mid twenty twenty three. Yeah,
I think that is right on the money because of

(37:31):
the dates that are here on his letterbox.

Speaker 3 (37:36):
Yeap, I can totally see that.

Speaker 4 (37:38):
So just wanted to point that out as well.

Speaker 1 (37:41):
I had seen where he had watched the original trilogy
and the prequel trilogy but had not put the He
had not documented that he.

Speaker 3 (37:49):
Had watched the sequel trilogy. I didn't know it was
from letterboxed.

Speaker 4 (37:53):
Yeah. Uh So before we move on to our other
topic tonight, I want to bring up two questions. One,
I saw a tweet today and I wanted to ask
you the same thing. This tweet says, I can't help

(38:15):
but wonder what else did Bob reject for Star.

Speaker 1 (38:18):
Wars Athlete season two?

Speaker 4 (38:23):
And it's funny that you say that one because the
other highlight that I have my little tinfoil hat comment
in our Star Wars Alliance chat is a tweet from
July of twenty twenty four Leslie hedlind On using Kylo
Wren's theme for The Acolyte. It is there on purpose,
but I can't tell you why, and I can't go

(38:45):
into what it is, but you shall see.

Speaker 1 (38:49):
And I do think it's because Kimer was supposed to
lead to the creation.

Speaker 4 (38:55):
Of the nation. Yes, yes, But now there's so many
people pointing that old tweet out and they're like, what
if what if Adam had somehow discussed with.

Speaker 2 (39:11):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (39:11):
I don't know, believe.

Speaker 1 (39:13):
I don't know if driver would have made that decision.
I think that's more of a Kathleen Kennedy decision.

Speaker 4 (39:20):
Oh because they could, Yeah, because because they had already
made the discussions of, Hey, we are going to pitch this,
We're going to go in this route. That's true.

Speaker 1 (39:28):
Yeah, because so The Acolyte was filming October thirtieth to
June's October thirtieth, twenty twenty two to June sixth, twenty
twenty three. So wow, there's no way I feel like

(39:53):
that's wrong. Okay, that's what Wikipedia. That's what Wikipedia says,
so not the you should source Wikipedia, but I do so.
So yeah, so I could definitely see now going, Hey,
we have this pitch for a Hunt for Been Solo film,

(40:16):
let's go ahead and plug this theme in here.

Speaker 4 (40:19):
I yeah, uh, I do want to because I know
that for it's until this thing is actually made. Well, well,
here's here's my last question. Okay, and uh I, I I

(40:41):
want to know Snell's response to this as well. We
know the unfortunate failure of make Solo to happen, but
we also know the success of release the Snyder cut.
So oh, I know what you're looking at, and I

(41:06):
know you're giving me that look for a reason. But
I made the tweet because I couldn't help myself. There
has been a lot of people using the hashtag the
Hunt for beIN Solo, but I was surprised that even
Travis like he made like a positive reaction to my comment.

(41:31):
I had the hashtag of, oh crap, what was it?

Speaker 3 (41:36):
The hunt for the Hunt for good?

Speaker 4 (41:38):
Yes, the Hunt for the Hunt of beIN Solo, which
I think is absolutely ridiculous, but I thought it was
absolutely funny just to see what everybody else would say
in the chat, is this a time where the fans
should be hammering at home that this is something that

(42:00):
we want or should we just let the powers it
be be?

Speaker 1 (42:10):
You know? For me, I'm all about, like, hey, like
give us like a director's cut of things, but this
has never been made. I would be down if we
got like a visions interpretation of this or a book something.

(42:31):
I would love to see that script. But unfortunately, I
just don't think. I think the Snyder cut was very
different because the footage was already there. They just had
to put money into the effects and finishing it out.
So yeah, I feel like that's a very different discussion.

(42:54):
We have seen fanned things happen for Star Wars aka
sory O Dawson fan casting as Ahsoka, like, so you
could totally see it happened.

Speaker 3 (43:09):
I just don't think it will.

Speaker 1 (43:15):
I am the a pessimist.

Speaker 3 (43:17):
Whatever, I don't care.

Speaker 4 (43:18):
I will always ever since, I will be completely honest,
ever since, I you know, was yelling at the top
of my lungs. Released the Snyder cut, I got the
validation and I was like, boom, it could happen. There
were so many people when I had a podcast named

(43:41):
Batman Newsweekly. My co host told me on the regular, Hey,
it's a pipe dream. It's never happening. It's never happening.
It's never happening. And then the day that it got announced,
he literally called me on the spot and said, holy shit,
I can't believe it's happening. So I.

Speaker 3 (44:01):
I just think it's very different.

Speaker 4 (44:04):
It is a very different circumstance. I will say never
say never. But one thing that I will say no
to is I don't believe we can get a book

(44:24):
out of this. Because of Lucasfilm's stance on everything published
is canon.

Speaker 6 (44:41):
You could do like a ron In book, for instance, potentially,
so I you could play with the Star Wars Visions
publishing area that they're starting to put more into.

Speaker 1 (44:58):
Again, I would agree, I would think. So, who knows.
Maybe Adam Driver's got the poll. Maybe the fans have
the poll to make this happen.

Speaker 4 (45:07):
Now.

Speaker 1 (45:09):
Oh, the other thing that I wanted to say, did
you see the director for for the Ray Skywalker movie? Oh,
my gosh, Schabid, Oh gosh, what is her name? Tell
me her name? I gotta look it up.

Speaker 4 (45:28):
Hang on, I could not sell you off the top of.

Speaker 3 (45:32):
My head okay, hang.

Speaker 7 (45:35):
On, uh director, Oh, what the heck? That's not the movie.

Speaker 1 (45:49):
That's oh bay, I know it's obeyed, Chanoi.

Speaker 4 (45:54):
There we go, Charmine, Charmine yep.

Speaker 3 (45:58):
Okay, so oh.

Speaker 1 (46:01):
She posted this roomy quote on her Instagram story and
a lot of people picked it up, and we're like,
and so the quote is, if late is in your heart,
you will find your way home. So what if she
takes it and says, okay, I want to modify my story.

Speaker 3 (46:21):
To match this.

Speaker 4 (46:23):
Oh okay, so here, oh okay, how much trouble could
she get into if it's already greenlit, they're already making it,
if they just do it now here, here's here's the issue.
Here's the issue that I have. I do not want

(46:49):
because because the story is that the Hunt for Bin
Solo was a character driven project, that character being been so.

Speaker 1 (47:01):
That wasn't necessarily the peace. He didn't say which character true.

Speaker 4 (47:07):
It is an assumption. I will say that Chanoy's movie
is supposed to be about Ray so like I it like,
I'm not entirely sure how I would feel about like

(47:29):
unless she is the one saying hey, I got you hm,
and she makes the decision, hey, I'm all for it.
But if Kathleen were to say, hey, before I leave,
I need you to do this solid for me, for Lucasfilman,
for Adam Driver, Like I don't know how I would

(47:52):
feel about that. Yeah, so, but if if we go
into that movie and we see the world between worlds
or an inkling of a tease of Ben solo, I
would freak out.

Speaker 8 (48:11):
She could put it could be a post credit scene
where Ray is like she just hears Ben's voice because Ray, Ray,
You're a fucking nobody.

Speaker 4 (48:23):
No I I I would love I would honestly if
it would to be any type of post credit scene,
like she hasn't seen him in however many years, hasn't
felt him in so many different years, but like for
some reason, she just has like a memory and like
she looks down and like his lightsaber is in her hand,

(48:46):
Like do you know how much I would freak the
funk out? Like, oh my god, like that would be awesome.
But no, like we we could see it happen Like
that I'm gonna stick to it is never say never
we could see it happen. People are set Like I
said before, people are saying that Iiger's possibly leaving in

(49:09):
twenty twenty six, and so you know, the possibility of
it coming after that is you know, crossing, people are
crossing fingers for that. But the more and more I
hear about Bob Ayger, the more and more I want
him to leave. We I think this is a full

(49:30):
on discussion for a later time, But there has been
heavy rumors, and I will say that it is rumors.
There is nothing confirmed about this, but we should possibly
talk about it. Bob Iger's involvement in the meddling of

(49:51):
Star Wars. But it was shared with us that Bob
Iger apparently fought back on the return of Clone Wars,
he fought back on a Son of dathamir series. He

(50:12):
was the one who turned down an Obi Wan Kenobi movie.
He killed the old Republican Darth Baange series. Like, there's
a lot of different rumors stating that Eiger himself is
the one that has been meddling with Lucasfilm, and so
I think that would be a really fun discussion to

(50:33):
kind of break those down and talk about what that
means for Disney and Lucasfilm's relationship.

Speaker 1 (50:42):
Yep, we'll see what we can do in terms of
putting that in. But are we ready to transition to
our last order review?

Speaker 4 (50:53):
Yes, let's do.

Speaker 3 (50:56):
It all right, Well, Clay worked.

Speaker 4 (51:01):
Of course, you can find me at fanboy Clay on
any and all social media. I want to apologize again
for the lack of content on our other socials. I
am having a hell of a time potty training a
child right now. I am honestly really surprised that I

(51:25):
still have hair on my head, and that is literally
taking every bit of my day. Ah, she's never gonna
listen to these podcasts or these episodes. My daughter has
peed on my shoes twice, so like I love her

(51:48):
to death, but like my shoes were literally just by
the coffee table, and we put her little potty like
next two or close to the TV so that that way,
while she's playing with her toys, and like we're watching
TV as a family, if she needs to go, she
doesn't feel like she's like missing out, Like we've even

(52:10):
told her, like hey, we can pause the movie or
we could pause your show like this or these are
things that can happen. She can't comprehend that, so she
feels like she's missing out. She holds it in and
like all this other stuff and we don't want her
to do that. So we're like, hey, we're gonna put
this small potty right here in the living room whenever
you need to just go, And she just forgot to

(52:32):
sit on the potty and I just saw all of
this splashing and my shoes were right there, and so
I was like, oh, fun.

Speaker 1 (52:42):
I think I think we're close to getting the stool
to expose her to pottying.

Speaker 3 (52:51):
I need her to be able to communicate more first.

Speaker 4 (52:54):
Yes, I would one hundred because here's the thing. Also,
when we first introduced it to her, she like did
it like on the first three tries, and we're like, cool,
you got it, and then like she never wanted to
use it again. And so now we're having to like
super incentivize and me being a person who was raised

(53:14):
by military parents and all of this stuff, like I
am not the right person to be doing this because
I am super frustrated, Like I've taken away all your toys,
I've taken away with the TV. You need to go potty,
and it's just like not the right thing to do. Uh.
So I'm I'm learning as well, Guys, like I am
not a perfect parent, but yeah, all that to say

(53:37):
content is coming to our socials. It's just trying.

Speaker 3 (53:42):
I put a question box up and nobody answered.

Speaker 4 (53:45):
I am I really, Katie. I realized that as soon
as I like reposted it, I was like, I should
have answered the question also, but I like it didn't
even like two and two did not like connect with me,
And it's probably because I was going insane with trying
to potty trade my child. But also, yes, I want

(54:08):
everybody to applaud Katie for also putting in the efforts
for putting amazing content. Amazing because because the thing is
I put out content that is just literally generated by
images and audios and everything else. You're putting your face
out there, which I think is amazing.

Speaker 1 (54:26):
So I can figure out how to do the green
screen thing. I could do reels, but I can't figure
that out.

Speaker 8 (54:33):
So yeah, you can follow me on both social media platforms.

Speaker 1 (54:38):
It is at place Katie. Remember, guys, this show is
on like Clay said, it is on Blue Sky, Instagram
and threads. It's Star Wars Alliance. There's no A in
the Wars. Very important, don't forget it. That is also
our email address, guys.

Speaker 4 (54:55):
That user names.

Speaker 1 (54:56):
Again Star Wars Alliance No. A in the Wars at
gmail dot com. Uh So, with that, guys, I want
to wish everyone a great day or night, whatever time
of the day you are listening or watching, and we
will see y'all next time.

Speaker 3 (55:09):
May the Force be with you.
