(02:01):

are really good, juicy all honestly, all the picks. I'm like,
you know, some of us are like I don't know.
Either it's like I don't know, I have much to say,
or it's like, oh, I've just seen that recently.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
All the picks right now are.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Really good, so look up for that, and uh yeah,
lots of good stuff coming on the feeds and h
September October, well, Setember's almost done, and then I will
start pimping this out now. I think next week we're
gonna fish have graphics and events going out there. But
just around the corner Extra Life November eighth, we're going
twenty four hours for.

Speaker 1 (02:29):
BC Children's Hospital. I have no other goal.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
I think it probably will just set the goal as usual.
The twenty five hundred will do that.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
We haven't discussed a start time, but I guess we
should probably talk about that. I was maybe I'm probably
going with the ten AM.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
I feel like Tenna worked good with us with GV Day.
I feel like the nine AM is we're running. There's
a lot of errors and a lot of expecially depending
whose places, because it ends up being at my place
with the kids ten am, giving me a lot of
light clear time. So for now we'll just say November eighth,
but that's likely the time, and yeah, we're gonna go
twenty four hours, gonna be tons of games. Will probably
be the trivia they or will be funny enough the

(03:04):
little inside scoop.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
I do need you guys to play chess for us particular.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
I'll just say it here. I need some chess scenes
for a movie. So I thought, why kill two birds
with one strowing them, do some chess rematches and get
a camera on those nights because it's just the hands,
just the hands I need, doesn't the hands are So
you guys will literally see us film a g part
of a GV movie on Extra Life, so we need that. Yeah,
we got the Keeper's Gauntlet Cup coming back where Kirkland's
gonna defend his crown, where at least us four are playing.

(03:30):
If anyone else agrees, I'm gonna leave a mystery that day,
I'm not even gonna tell these guys. Oh maybe I'll
tell them, but I got some the feed and the
fire who might be joined. It's all in person people,
no one online or anything like that, but competitors, you
never know who who might pop by, and the keeper's gontrons.

Speaker 4 (03:44):
Maddie sure knocked out Clay.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
Anybody's in Colowna November eighth, you're automatically enter the Geek
First Cup easily easily hit me up if you're in
Cologna coming up soon. Uh and then uh yeah, we're
gonna be doing GM mode.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
With these three boys. Lots of good stuff, so check
out in November eight.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
All the donations go to PC Chones Hospital. They're tax deductible.
I will get a link out there probably this weekend.
It's not even up and running, but I just want
to start from white because it's just times moving fast.
I saw it and I was like, man, that's a
month of way. But you know what's not moving fast
is Marvel Zombies because we got this episode like years
ago and that's what was coming out, and even the
producer said this show was ready to go a year ago,

(04:21):
but they decided just to hold it for I don't know, X,
Y and Z because that's the way Marvel is right now.
So yeah, mister Muss, what do you think? Obviously, nonsport
thoughts before we break down this four part Events series. So,
Marvel Zombies, what do you think about this?

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Yeah, so I I you know, obviously this is kind
of in the same lineage as What If. This is
like a spinoff of the spinoff if you will for
MCU sort of stuff. And in case anyone, you know, forgets,
like I'm kind of media mid on on what If.
It's not really my favorite part of the MCU and
this recent Marvel stuff. There's some great episodes, for sure,
but overall it's not necessarily my favorite. But I did

(04:57):
really like the zombie episode from I guess I would
have in season one right all the way back back
at the start. Yeah, so that was one of my
favorite episodes. And so yeah, I've been looking forward to this,
but also kind of just forget about it because I
feel like they didn't promote it a ton. It's kind
of not really connected to anything else. It's sort of
just a random drop and then here we go. Four
episodes just kind of dropped at the same time, like

(05:18):
get it out there and move along. It seems like
maybe they're planning with it. But I had a really
good time with this, pretty much consistently cross all of them.
I think the last episode kind of drags a little
bit for me, just like it takes a bit long
with the certain battle sequence going on there. You know,
it's good for the emotional stuff as well. But that
was the only part when I was like checking the
watch a little bit. Also, I just binged like two

(05:40):
hours of this, so I'm like, okay, is this where
are we at at this point? But I think the
structure of this was cool. At first, I was wondering, like,
why is this a four part thing? And why not
just like an animated movie, because it's about the same
length as that and you're releasing it all at once.
I think it makes sense why they did that, based
on like scene, the way they broke it down, the
way they broke up the stories, and Travis has some

(06:00):
commentary that.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
Could be that.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
But the other reason is technically they would not be
allowed to put Spider Man if it was classified as
a movie. I know it sounds dumb, but the producer
this week is that's why.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
What if there was a two hour long special presentation? Yeah,
what is that? What is legally a special presentation?

Speaker 1 (06:16):
You never said about a special presentation. I don't.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
I have to imagine that would be like Sony with
a lawsuit.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Yeah, so that's another reason why it was good point
because Spider Man would be uh, he'd be out to
Norman if he was.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
Yeah, which you know, could have Spidy in here, but like,
I don't know if they really wanted to do a movie,
like I guess I guess that's tricky because he was
you know, from the uh what if episodes, so you
kind of have to have that continuity to some extent. Anyway,
I did really enjoy this. I think there's a lot
of really fun character drops in here, some fun team ups.
You know we've talked a lot about like the Young Avengers,
what's going on there. You kind of get a mini

(06:50):
Young Avengers in here. You kind of you get more Thunderbolts,
big ear for the Thunderbolts. So I really enjoyed some
of that stuff. Some other surprise characters, some weird, more
kind of what if scenario type characters that really fun.
One in particular that of course stands really strong here.
Uh yeah, really fun action. Like feels like the most
r rated we've gotten in the MCU other than like
I guess, Deadpool Wolverine in terms of like some crazy

(07:11):
stuff going on. Of course, it's some animated, but you're
still getting some really really gross brutal scenes, blood everywhere
and all that. So I like that they kind of
didn't hold back at all. So yeah, I had a
really really enjoyable time with this. I feel like it
will be pretty rewatchable too. I could see myself just
putting these episodes on the background every once in a while.
And I one thing I did not think to do
was rewatch that what If episode recently, so that isn't

(07:33):
super fresh on the NOGA. But they think if you
take that mix up with these four episodes for a
nice little like two and a half hour long zombie
romp in the Marvel world, like, that's that's a great thing.
So h yeah, I overall had a pretty good time
with it.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
What about you, mister Field?

Speaker 4 (07:49):
Uh, this was just it blew my expectations out of
the water. You know. It was just that long sagment
period of time where I was just I wanted it,
but I was just kidding and less excited because it
was just taken forever and here we are, and holy smokes,
it was really really entertaining. That's one of the highlights

(08:09):
of what If, Like, and I enjoy What If a lot,
and I wish that we got more of the zombie
stuff and sprinkled throughout other What If seasons, but it
was just contained to the one season, that one episode
and getting the follow up here finally was was it
was worth it. I really liked it. It got me
off guard because I felt like, Okay, we've got these

(08:29):
characters here, and then all of a sudden you get
death thrown in. It's like, holy shit, I just you
don't see it coming, and then it just doesn't hold
back and you get more deaths and more other you know,
sad moments. A couple characters that you know, maybe they
weren't the highlight for me back in the day or
presently at times too, because they're just I don't know,

(08:51):
they're a little bit eccentric, flamboyant for MCU heroes or underdogs.
But then a lot of moments in here, yeah he he.
I'll just say he knocked it out of the park
for me in this, Like, I really really liked it,
and I think that that's just a character that Marvel
has kind of gotten a little bit better at handling,

(09:14):
not just going like a full you know, one of
my least favorite versions of him is in that wet
If episode with Winter Soldier whe It's just like, this
is just way too much of himself. Yes, yeah, and
you know he does. He does great in Thunderbolts. Really
like him in that, and again in here he's just
he's fantastic. So he's definitely a highlight for me. And yeah,

(09:36):
just all the zany crossovers that they do. It's just
I would have loved to have seen this in what if.
If this was like an actual live action movie, it
would have been probably not do the greatest in theaters.
I don't think a lot of people would have been
running to see this. It'd be very expensive, and I
don't think it's making a billion at the box office.
But damn I would have loved it. This would have

(09:58):
been such a cool collection, double piece of cinema. If
we got this in a live action film, Holy shit.
But lastly, I just I shout outs to them getting
all these you know, the original character actors to just
come back and throw their voices. I know there's obviously
a few new new additions in here, because you've got
some new characters and whatnot, but yeah, it was just

(10:18):
it was very very cool, very very nice. And again
each arc you get into each episode it's like, oh,
they're introducing these characters, which I know I saw the trailer,
but a lot of it was a big surprise when
we got certain groups and teams that were featured and
showcased and just all of a sudden, Oh, look at
this thing appearing over here, you know, a city by
the sea. You know, it's like, well, this is kind

(10:41):
of a cool thing. But we'll break into that in
the spoilers.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
So nice, Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
Yeah, I enjoyed it. I think I enjoyed it like
a little less than you guys. Yeah, it's something I
will rewatch, but I probably won't be running to rewatch.
I think I agree with you doing where the end
it gets a little a little bit men. I wish
and this is like a common criticism always for the MSUIT,
but I guess I just wish with this special there
was like a little a little less comedic beats. I

(11:09):
know the characters are still in the MSU, but I
think with this being what if and it being the
zombie Pocalypse, really could have had some fun. A couple
of years ago, obviously got Werewolf by Night and that's
not He's not bounced around the MCU right now. But
that was like a very dead serious special like I
would have enjoyed. There's just some moments in here that
I just didn't I get. I guess maybe I just
didn't enjoy the jokes, you know, I didn't like that.

(11:30):
The animation looks pretty good for the most part, obviously,
like this style, I feel like it ebbs and flows.
Sometimes it looks really good and sometimes it looks there's
a lot to be desired there. But there's a couple
of moments, especially it's in last episode of Action Wise
that looked really good. So no, I think this was
a fun Halloween watch. I don't know if it matched
my excitement for when it was first announced and all

(11:51):
this waiting, Like I think it was just expecting something
a little more different, where maybe it felt too much
like with what If. And I think like what If
a lot more than other people. Well, I guess I'll
defend the first season a lot and third season. No
second season I'd have to think about. I think there's
half a good season there. Then we get into like
mumbo jumbo Multiverse Avengers stuff where it's like I just

(12:13):
want like the one off stories, you know, so, but no,
this is great as far as like obviously could be
a movie, but it is just a movie.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
It's a two hour movie.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
The episodes flow together like they're just cutting half, which
is completely fine. It is funny where it'll be We'll
have to have maybe return back to this conversation once
we see doomsday in Secret Wars and where we're at
at the end of all things, because this feels like
a movie and obviously wouldn't have got zombies and all
of these characters dying off, but these dynamics and these
characters interacting, this feels like way overdue. This feels like

(12:43):
and it feels like an MCU we're not really getting,
you know, because.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
We know Downy's coming back, and to me, like.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
All the big event should be, hey, it's June staying
all these characters together, where it's like, well we got
you know, James Marrisen back of Psyde Colops. We're like, well,
that doesn't really fit in to what we've been doing here.
And same thing like Young Avengers, like I feel like
we can comfly say that there's a good chance that
may just never happened, right, like we've talked about, oh
it's a movie or show.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
It's like, that's just kind of quiet.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
So it's kind of fun where I think this episode
shows that this like these characters the same way the
season one with what If was that showed a lot
of our main characters in different scenarios. This shows like
the original blueprint of oh this, these were gonna be
all the main main players, and a couple of them
are still around. Like Florence Pugh, she's the main player,
but like some she's still rock in one movie, no

(13:32):
other live action appearances at all, you know, same thing
Kate Bishups she was in with the Marvel's post credit.
So it's like I'm trying to think out of this
career and even and I'd say Kamal at least she
did get a show in a movie, so they fall
through with that. But I'd say Kamal and Florence Pugh
and that a lot of these characters just if like,
look a Blade, right, this is the first MCU appearance
of Marshall Lee's Blade, you know, and obviously he was

(13:54):
voiced in Eternals, but it does feel like something we
almost shouldn't be seeing in a way, So I like,
it does feel like a really big what if, not
only just the zombies of Oh if all the movies
from Phase four to five were like fantastic and made
seven hundred billion dollars, these would have been your characters
going forward. And then it is kind of sad because
I like some of these dynamics.

Speaker 1 (14:14):
So I like that this exists. So I did have
fun with it.

Speaker 2 (14:16):
Maybe I just was hoping for a little bit more
of a radical shift with a full four length where
I felt we dipped a lot into like kind of
regular MSU territory, which is a bad per se. But yeah,
I'm just looking for a little different now that especially
because with zombies, I felt like, I can't remember was
that episode did they say it was m rate or not.

(14:36):
I felt like that was a more like kitty version
of Marvel Zombies, right, so with them saying, and don't
get me wrong, there's lots.

Speaker 3 (14:42):
Of blood guts here, remember it being like this, No,
so there's lots.

Speaker 1 (14:45):
Of blood of guts here, don't get me wrong.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
But I thought when it was completely like, hey, this
is an emery thing, they would kind of maybe kind
of a lot more of that.

Speaker 1 (14:52):
I'd say, there's a lot.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
Of humor in here that could be the regular MSU
family humor, right, but so yeah, I enjoyed it. I
think I would recommend if you're a Marvel fan, if
you're looking for something for superheroes and Halloween to watch.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
I think this fits with Werewolf by.

Speaker 2 (15:04):
Night and Doctor Strange and Blade and the Batman. Like
if there's not too many like Halloween movies for superheroes,
but you know they'd there Halloween WandaVision episode I guess
you know.

Speaker 1 (15:14):
So got that going on.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
But uh, anything else nonspoils before we get into this.
All right, so we will be right back after this
first break and we are back kind of I want
to do this. We want to go part by part.
We want to tell about specific characters arc where we
want out to breathe.

Speaker 4 (15:33):
I mean, I I'd love to just I just gotta
get out there on the table and just shout it out.
My second probably my second favorite character, Death Dealer.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
Holy shit, Oh yeah that was.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
It reminded me of what they did to him sunk
Chi where he just like went out like a whimp,
you know.

Speaker 4 (15:47):
But him soul sucked his his dynamic with Jimmy Jimmy
wou Holy fuck, I loved and ate everything out of
that bucket of chicken. It was so freaking good.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
I loved it.

Speaker 4 (15:59):
I loved it.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
You did remind me. I'm sorry, folks. I will in
the future. I guess I will have to. Maybe I'll
watch this with the kids or do something else because
I have to look at the death toll for our
MCU draft, because I'm.

Speaker 1 (16:11):
Sure we have some points here and there.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
So yeah, I won't count the zombies dying again like
they're already dead. But the characters that were alive, you know,
definitely some some deaths were had, so look out.

Speaker 1 (16:20):
Maybe next time we do eight.

Speaker 3 (16:21):
And some of them are, I mean almost all of
them are like kind of ambiguous if we just jumped
like the ending of episode four. But we'll have to
we'll discuss that.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
Yeah yeah, well yeah, be cause well yeah right, yeah,
I would classify the ambiguous still alive. I wouldn't put
any death on them, even though I yeah, there's a
couple that are.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
It was just that was the other thing too, I
should send no spoilers.

Speaker 2 (16:43):
And now that they've said today, Brad Winderbum, who's like
the Kevin Foggy of TV said they plan to you
like multiple seasons of ninety seven spier Man and hopefully this.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
And that's another thing too where it's like, oh, I
wasn't really thinking of that.

Speaker 2 (16:55):
I went and think this was gonna be like a
one off literally four part event ended there and you know,
I guess not jumping to the end, but I didn't
love the that ending with. I guess maybe if we
get more, but if we never get more, I don't
really love it.

Speaker 4 (17:08):
You know.

Speaker 3 (17:09):
I'm yeah, I wonder how much if there's any plan
to do this in the future, Like obviously you'd think
that if they had it finished a year ago and
have just been holding it. It feels like, well, that's
not a great piece of evidence towards them wanting to
like get this out the door, get the reaction, start
working on the second season, release that, and then also
doing the classic like four episode dump like this feels

(17:29):
like the perfect kind of thing to do, like one
episode every week of October. There you go. But yeah,
so I don't know how much I believe that this
is gonna we're gonna get any more of this, especially
because what if is kind of done now too, right,
like they've officially kind of ended that. So I don't
know if we're going back to this, this realm of animation,
but yeah, I guess to go back to the start
from episode one a little bit started the beginning as

(17:50):
Kirklam needs to do, even though he's not here with
us tonight. I mean, yeah, I think a really fun
thing for me here is like, yeah, Young Avengers Champions,
whatever you want to call it, Like we're just doesn't
seem like we're getting that. Of course, like around last
Comic Con or whatever, we had like that Instagram account
made or something, and everyone's like, oh, what's happening trade
the trademark, Yeah, yeah, uh, which you know has led

(18:11):
to nothing yet. But I feel like this kind of
seems like it would have been the plausible core of
what the Young Young Avengers is re Re, Kate, Bishop,
and Kamala obviously like the three Disney plus TV show
girls there throw in some other characters in the mix,
but just having them as a core like dynamic was
super duper fun. I really liked all of them, especially,
you know, the re Re stuff's interesting. I wonder if

(18:31):
that was part of the reason of kicking this back.
Is like maybe they wanted iron Heart out first so
people know that character better, but like, I don't know
if that's what they were going for here. But then
also having like the Friday Iron Man robot with the
like the Teddy bear head is like they're they're kind
of century I thought was really really fun. So I
just I love their dynamic. I love the three of them.
And then just I guess generally as shout out to

(18:52):
Kamala as the only one who kind of makes it
all the way through here, and we get a lot
with her, Like just I mean, she is great. She's
so fun is that character. And obviously The Marvels isn't
a great movie unfortunately for her. But I think this
is this was a really great like kind of return
form and so to speak, And I think she got
some really great scenes here and was like a really
fun Like Kamala is just a great protagonist character even

(19:13):
in like the Avengers game, you know, like the protect
like the story of that game just kind of centering
around her, like she is a good character to fill
in that piece. And and obviously Mom Vlani is like
really great at the performance of it. So yeah, I
really liked that that trio even though it didn't last
for too too long.

Speaker 2 (19:31):
Yeah, again, it shows some of the you know, because
obviously there's sends to be a love song she and
mo Wan that movie. I think it shows the untapped
potential of Again, I think a lot of these things.
I understand some of the lack success of. But I
feel like there's characters you don't just ditch, you know,
just because incredible Hulk back in eight performed poorly, they
didn't just ditch the Hulk, right, and I hope it
doesn't happen. But at the same time, like why does

(19:52):
a Monovan aman Volani is like named on a chair,
you know, like why.

Speaker 1 (19:57):
She not on doomsday?

Speaker 2 (19:57):
And maybe she is right, that could be, but at
point they still do have to pick and choose and
with that character. But yeah, I think you hit the
nail on the head this this dynamic.

Speaker 1 (20:05):
Again.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
I think we all were down for for anything with
Young Avengers and Champions. I'm always down for I always
always said, like, I think it's a very risky movie.
When we got to the phase of movies not being
for sure hits right. So if you're looking at a
pie chart, what should we Greenliz as a movie? Maybe not,
but the dynamics there, you know, even Handa Steinfeld, who
wouldn't put on the level of them on she does

(20:27):
phenomenal as Kate Bishop here and even then too, I
like the I can't remember her name, but the Ironheart
show is like just fine. But the actress that plays
Realms is the best part. She's very good, She's charismatic,
she can be smart, she can be clever, she can
be very funny. So it was great to see these
ones together, even though I did not actually expect Kate
two biten in the first episode, which I did like

(20:48):
obviously it is a what if scenario, but still they're
setting up all here are your main characters in this world.

Speaker 1 (20:53):
And then even though I found like her a pew
and episode two, I found like the probably the more
expensive expense of actors and actresses seem to be going
really early in the series. You know, like I just
feel like, yes, I feel probably get more paid than
like am On or re Rel, like on the.

Speaker 3 (21:10):
Set of Thunderbolts are like, hey, come into the sound
booth for you know, yah half an.

Speaker 2 (21:13):
Hour if you just say these lines, you bet you know,
but yeah, no, I agree with you. That was a good,
good trio dynamic. I would I honestly would be fine.
It's great to get all the other heroes, but the
four part event literally was just all three of them
throughout the whole time. Okay, Adam Florence p as Well.
I would have been set like perfect. You know, So

(21:35):
what about you two, how are you feeling seeing that
you know made this? Are only chanceeing the Champions or
young Avengers, you know?

Speaker 4 (21:40):
Yeah, and that's a shame. That's a shame. It's if
live action could do it as good a job as
this four episode arc of just bringing these characters together
and building up on their relationship to each other, then
I have hope. But are they gonna do that? I
don't know, because it's just like I'm excited for doing
I'm excited for all these other things. But you know,

(22:02):
I just I think that the story it did a
really good job at unifying all these characters, Miss Marvel,
Kate Bishop, and yeah Reary Williams just all being together,
like I've really, really unexpectedly enjoyed this this dynamic. And
when Kate Bishop Ate it because and Captain Marvel were
just like fighting each other.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
Yeah, yeah, and that's where when I say it feels
like a full Phase four five MC what if it
feels like, oh, at some point we probably would have
saw it charistic Captain Marvel interact in the future, but
that's that's never gonna happen characters, And so that was
a really cool send off of they show him and
he's all broken, like, oh, is that zombie? No, he's

(22:43):
just like a de factor, you know, synthetic, And I'm like,
what about that that's a zombie And the fact that
Captain Marvel. I know they all have their powers, but
there's something about man a zombie having Captain Marvel powers.
That's that's real scary as we saw it all damage,
Kate just dust when you want against Captain Marble, you know.

Speaker 3 (23:01):
So yeah, I mean like that that even just that
concept that like world building of that that there are
like these two god power tier characters who are just
like in this Eternal Battle, which means that this whole
land is just strife with like these kind of endless
storms that are just caused by too godlike beings. Like
I love that, and you know, having a little bit
of a Eternal's moment in there. I was not expecting

(23:22):
that at all especially, you know, if it's gonna be anyone,
it's gonna be king Go of course, but like, no,
we finally got someone different, even though he doesn't like
speak right, Like he's literally just battling, so it didn't
necessarily need to be him or anything. But yeah, that
that was a really uh, really cool little addition in there.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
Yeah, what almost and anything in Part one? Honestly think
is this where they is it one or yeah? Part
one they find the what could be the hope right,
this little chip that's gonna send the message to space off.

Speaker 3 (23:49):
So do we have the whole battle at the Thunderbolts
kind of not the Thunderbolts mansion, but.

Speaker 4 (23:53):
I guess the Shield Base.

Speaker 3 (23:56):
What do you call them?

Speaker 1 (23:57):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (23:57):
Like the that family, what do we call on them?
That's her last name? Again?

Speaker 1 (24:01):
Family in Ohio?

Speaker 4 (24:03):
You remember the shield base. They went to Ohio and
that's where there is that where it was. Yeah, that's
where I'm working.

Speaker 1 (24:10):
I'm inresting, dealing with the family in Ohio.

Speaker 3 (24:12):
Elena like that. I can't remember their name right now?

Speaker 4 (24:15):
That family, Oh, the dad, the girls, the Romanov's.

Speaker 3 (24:20):
Yeah, there you go, the Romanov Base, I guess right,
and I didn't realize it was an Ohio, I missed
that lower beat.

Speaker 1 (24:25):
I forgot that too. I've only seen Black Widow once,
so I I apologize on the Black lidd A lore
for everyone out there.

Speaker 2 (24:32):
But and then they find this little device that can
uh maybe be looked upon, Like at first, at this
point in the episode, they're not really saying what it is.
But then they got to get it to somewhere and
Al said something to a space.

Speaker 4 (24:44):
The pilot that they took it out of and the
Quinn jet that wasn't anyone particular.

Speaker 1 (24:50):
Unless okay, don't be wrong.

Speaker 2 (24:51):
I'm sure it's probably like that's so Steve Treador was like, uh,
who's Steve Rodgers's brother? You know, maybe something like that,
But no one I I knew. And there's another person
about Kingo. Well there was no uh Captain Carter. I
feel like she always pops up on these things too.
No Captain Carter on the show at all year.

Speaker 3 (25:07):
So yeah, was she in uh the first episode like
the I don't think she is.

Speaker 2 (25:13):
I guess because Cap becomes a zombie she would, But
she just always finds a way to end up in
these things. You know.

Speaker 3 (25:20):
That's speaking of speaking of of Cap I love I mean,
I really enjoyed that fight. It just felt very helms
deep in like that that whole standoff there of like
the zombies holding up the spears to like, you know,
the first wave and stuff, and then you kind of
get the second phase. When is that abomination or like
man man thing?

Speaker 1 (25:37):
I think it's abomination?

Speaker 3 (25:38):
Yeah, okay, just like the kind of fin and fins
and stuff made it made him look a little different
than I'm used to seeing that, just like she.

Speaker 1 (25:44):
Hulk for him, right, Yeah, that's what he said. He evolves,
he gets that going on.

Speaker 3 (25:48):
Gotcha, gotcha? But yeah, I love him essentially being like
the catapult in the lieu of like not actually having
a catapult chucking things up on the roof trucking, you know,
half of a Captain America up there, him crawling through
the VNCE. I guess was I presume it was Ghost, right,
just kind of teleporting around doing all that fun stuff.
Another big year for Ghost. I thought those action sequences
are really great. I like to look for Ghost as well.

(26:09):
So that was a super duper fun battle. But then
we haven't talke about him yet somehow, fucking Blade Night,
come on, I've never seen this guy before, Travis, have
you encountered Blade Night in your Marvel comic Adventures in
the Day? Because I love this character.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
The only thing didn't they hint at this at the
end of what a season three and they're showing all
those title cards, right, it wasn't that one of them?

Speaker 3 (26:28):
Yeah, yeah, that's interesting, that's that's smart, and I'm.

Speaker 1 (26:32):
Sure it might have happened, but it hasn't.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
But yeah, no, that was definitely a scene stiller throat
even like voice actor they got it wasn't Marsha a lie,
but it sounded close enough, so it's like, okay, and yeah, man,
I again more I have about the Biggest Loss opportunity
and the infant or what is this the multiverse song?
I just seen this Blade and I remember there was
this quote where five he's like, well, we want to
get it right, we don't want to just have be

(26:56):
you know, just a soord vampire guy. But it's like,
you know what, that's all okay, maybe that would have
been okay, just a seven out and ten he's kicking ass,
because man, this whole series, Blade was really cool. Obviously
couldn't play him with Konchu, but he was really cool.
That just was like an op character, like a character
you would not want to come up against.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
You know.

Speaker 4 (27:14):
Well, you get that scene where he's talking to Valkyrie
and Conchu just comes out and you know, you forget
that other people can't see Kanchu and that whole dialogue
that was just that just cracked me up. But holy shit, Yeah,
when he faces off against ghosts and he's doing all
these things and just his his line drops and yeah,
just when he's talking with uh. I think it was

(27:35):
with Kamala. I could be mistaken, but anyways, someone's just
like saying all this crazy shit and he's just like cool,
hence my neck name. I fucking love that. It's so good.
He had another he had another line kind of like
that too later on. But yeah, he's just so stoic
and calm and he's just so badass. I I want
to go watch the other Blade movies now.

Speaker 3 (27:57):
I want to get the MCU Blade. Yeah, I'm right, Yeah,
I'm ready.

Speaker 1 (28:00):
Oh he's in dead Pool Verne as well.

Speaker 3 (28:02):
To go go watch Eturnals just just for that postcredit.

Speaker 1 (28:06):
Just go watch the projects that we're sad about. Yeah,
I don't know what I'll watch it.

Speaker 2 (28:12):
I don't know, there's a lot to be sad about
with the Phase four or five stuff, but I was.

Speaker 1 (28:17):
Trying to find like a good like man. I went
to Wikipedia.

Speaker 2 (28:20):
The synopsis is are massive long, there's almost some of
those Spider Man ones we had done.

Speaker 1 (28:25):
And then I go to IMDb episode two and open
Road the Hunger for Flesh rules.

Speaker 3 (28:30):
All like, that's not good enough.

Speaker 1 (28:32):
Yeah, no, that's not good enough. But then yeah, in
part two, less, is there anything specifically?

Speaker 2 (28:37):
I know it might come up again because we're kind
of a bit all over place, but is there anything
else specifically of episode.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
One or part one?

Speaker 3 (28:43):
Take me to part two?

Speaker 2 (28:44):
Okay, in this part they you know obviously we so, yeah,
we lost re reschoose our first victim again. Crazy to me, Well,
actually no, we lostre and Kate. That was a crazy
just want two punch. And then they pull I feel
like there's I don't know five to eight scenes of
Miss Marble being pulled somewhere yelling no, I'm not saying
it's a negative her.

Speaker 1 (29:02):
Are we sure is officially dead?

Speaker 4 (29:03):
I mean she injected herself in the arm and she
died off screen, you know, so, and I mean she's
there episode four. I guess so, well, the end with
the reality reality thing, right.

Speaker 2 (29:15):
Actually, I guess you're right that. I actually don't think
I don't think she would. I think she is dead.
I think she's alive. Yeah, and that's somebody that if
someone has I wouldn't count it against them.

Speaker 3 (29:27):
Becauseless Iron rossed her and then she died and the.

Speaker 4 (29:32):
Like Friday went back and helped her. Right, So she's
got Friday there too, So I think there's a.

Speaker 1 (29:36):
Chance one owner I need to get another.

Speaker 2 (29:38):
But no, And I think because when she Miss Marble's
going in and out seeing like the zombies and realized
Zombis really was there, So I think she's the one
that snapped out of it. So I would count that
as re Re is still alive because yeah, you're right,
she didn't in ject herself that.

Speaker 1 (29:51):
But she's on the rest of the series, right, Also,
she's presumed dead at this point.

Speaker 2 (29:55):
They meet it with some other people and then at
this point the kind of the main crux of the episode,
So it is Zemo and his second in command, John
Walker aka US Agent.

Speaker 4 (30:05):
Have a submarine fucked up.

Speaker 2 (30:07):
Yeah, John Walker was not long for this world unfortunately,
and he he just had a gun the whole time.

Speaker 1 (30:12):
He couldn't do anything.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
So I'm just what, I guess this is John Walker
with no super soldiers seerm though, right, because like Steve
Rogers was still cappy became a zombie and I don't
think in that time they would have had time to
be hey, let's like get a.

Speaker 1 (30:24):
Super soldier serm.

Speaker 4 (30:26):
So I don't know.

Speaker 1 (30:26):
I think he's just a regular dude.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
So I forgot to mention it's kind of a bunch
of characters core lesson because we got an opening scene
in San Francisco which is Sung, she and Katie, but
it's before like the first movie takes place, so that
hasn't happened in this timeline because she doesn't even know
that he can fight people. And then I was very
excited when win Wu came the Manitarin showed up. He's like, Oh,
this is going to be a really interesting character in

(30:49):
this dynamic. He does a great hero father play, saves
his son, make sure Sung she gets bit in the arm,
starts to turn into his zombie, but then he throws
the rings and that kind of acts as some sort
of kind of stoppage. I thought he was just gonna
cut off his arm, I know, he yeah, some device
to stop it. But then when we get them out
of there with like Taylor's mentioning.

Speaker 3 (31:10):
Definitely when we didn't really try to survive though.

Speaker 1 (31:13):
Oh it went out very easily. I was gonna say,
it's just like, yeah, it's just it's almost he saw
the world. He's like, you know what, I don't want
to deal with this. You know, this is too much
going on there.

Speaker 2 (31:26):
But yeah, so we get sung she and Katie depth dealer,
they go to submarine Florence, Pugh and Regard and they
go the submarine.

Speaker 1 (31:33):
Miss Marvel played all them to meet there, and yeah.

Speaker 2 (31:36):
Baron's emo's great idea is we're gonna stand this up
because they can't get us here. And this emo on
the surface seems to be a very caring, understanding, almost
Captain America like leader, giving big speeches about all all
those we lost. And obviously so we revealed that not
so much the case.

Speaker 4 (31:52):
You know.

Speaker 3 (31:52):
Yeah, the Civil War music that pops in when he's
like doing his stuff. Man, because since you know, go
to our last Marvel ring my still my favorite Marvel movie,
MQ movie, uh man to get that music those music
stingers in there really was working for me. So that
was that was a fun surprise. And he's just he's
one of those characters that's just like around all the time,

(32:12):
like just always popping up again, you know falcon On
the Winter Soldier here, he's just yeah, he's always kicking it.

Speaker 1 (32:19):
And stunning more of them. For me, you know, I'm
still I always see this character and I still feel
like the potential is not even fully matched yet with
Baron Zene because that's also Daniel Bruce, such a great actor, right, but.

Speaker 3 (32:30):
Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 4 (32:32):
Uh yeah, that's another thing that caught me completely off guard,
with him disappearing and leading the you know, city by
the Sea and and all that. But the idea of
using the raft in a sense, that was really cool.
I really like that. Yeah, so I think it was sweet.
And they all set up with Naymar as well. Was
just terrifying and very cool to see see him popping

(32:54):
off in there. And yeah, that was just it was
claustrophobic and isolated and free. He just going down into
the ocean like that. It was really cool to kind
of guess, at this point, we're just getting all these
different friends when we're dealing with zombies, and I really
really like that dynamic, and Zimo just didn't disappoint. I
for sure thought that once they got into that escape
pod they were gonna just toss him out, because I mean,

(33:16):
the fucking guy was trying to just betray these heroes.
And there were so many people on that raft that
all died, Oh my gosh, just brutal. But yeah, they
had good food there, that's for sure.

Speaker 3 (33:28):
Well yeah, yeah, better food than people in episode three,
which we'll get into, but yeah, great Jimmy Wu as well,
that's the name of Randall Park's hair rant. Another great
addition here. I love, always love his energy. He you know,
episodes later on he had a very very quick death.
I feel like, man, I feel like he maybe deserved
a bit more of a yeah, you know, but I

(33:53):
thought he was super fun. Him and him and Death
Dealer like that little dynamic was great. And then later
on him and Red Guardian was another dynamic. I really
I think he just has a good dynamic with everyone,
so he was a fun addition in there as well.
I want to yeah, I want to go back to
the start of the episode because I also love the
like the little Mad Maxine sequence where they're driving down

(34:13):
the open road. You got their mad Max vehicles. The
music's playing. We get like it's not even really much
of a battle because it's just like the hero team
like popping off and like you know, suffering, like no casualties.
I don't think really they just kind of clear out
these these zombs, but I really or I guess the scrolls, Yeah,
the scroll zombies. That whole sequence. Yeah, so I like
the visuals that, like like the little death the other

(34:34):
moment when he you know, he just doesn't seem interested
in this fight, but then just quickly kind of hucks
that shurkin from the side. Looks like he's about to
like smoke a sigarette or something, but he just like
throws a shirt and instead. So yeah, that that whole
sequence was really fun as well.

Speaker 1 (34:48):
Yeah, no, there's some good stuff in here. And how
do you think they got to name more originally right
to become a zombie?

Speaker 2 (34:55):
Because when they are, because it's a quiet because I
guess we can I remember if they revealing episode one,
if not there, I would say reveal an.

Speaker 1 (35:03):
Episode two because three there's like a twist. They revealed
that scarlet, which one of maximum is like the zombie queen,
you know, she's looking controlling them all whatnot.

Speaker 2 (35:11):
And then a quoi seems to be her right woman.
But they are standing on a dog, a koy and
all the zombies, so it seems like they can't go
in the water. But obviously I know because name war
can breathe all different. But still like, how did they
get to him?

Speaker 1 (35:26):
Did he pop up? I guess on land and that's
how they happen to get to him. Did a couple
of zombies take a big.

Speaker 3 (35:31):
Does he does come to line? Every one? He does
fly around, so he's.

Speaker 2 (35:34):
Just coming up for ghost stop at I don't know,
get some Krispy Kremes, and then just get hoarding.

Speaker 3 (35:40):
I mean they don't have that down below, right, they don't.

Speaker 1 (35:42):
We don't have that.

Speaker 2 (35:44):
I mean about three boxes they're coming to Klona. Emily
was not happy with me, but I.

Speaker 4 (35:48):
Bought three, three boxes.

Speaker 1 (35:50):
Because you know what happened here, what happened.

Speaker 2 (35:52):
I would be fine with one box, And when I
bought them, Emily had never had them, and she's like, oh,
those look fine, and then she tried one and then
really enjoyed them. And I also have five kids. That's
it's like, if I'm gonna get how.

Speaker 4 (36:03):
Many how many a box?

Speaker 1 (36:05):
I feel like it's probably.

Speaker 3 (36:06):
That's why you have so many kids, so you can
justify getting three boxes.

Speaker 4 (36:10):
Oh you're not gonna eat the eighteen donuts file.

Speaker 1 (36:13):
And then the twins. I mean, if everyone is two,
if everyone has but I said family five, family, that'd
be a family seven. Then Taylor family of five is
still me family and the three other Chris you're for.

Speaker 4 (36:23):
How many is that everyone has?

Speaker 1 (36:25):
Too?

Speaker 2 (36:25):
Like, everyone's too that's ten, So that's only eight left over,
and I'm gonna have.

Speaker 1 (36:28):
More than two.

Speaker 4 (36:29):
So how many do you have?

Speaker 1 (36:31):
I haven't got them yet. October fourth, You're like.

Speaker 3 (36:33):
You're like Red Guardian. Your plate's just stacked.

Speaker 1 (36:36):
The gids with all these exactly.

Speaker 2 (36:38):
Yeah, so I guess that's probably what Nymar came up
looking for some Christie Green and then you know, because
there was a lot of them, you know, which we
forgot to mention to Elena's uh and Elena's Natasha's fake
mom had some device for a while to control the zombies,
which I thought was a really cool mode. When they
pulled up to that base and all the zombies are
just they're waiting at first of that, are they are
they cut out cardboards.

Speaker 1 (36:58):
Or they like what is going on here? But they
all move and they're all active, so I like that.
But of course until the Queen should up kind of
over row that and then a quoi just they didn't
even eat it though, KUOI just skewed her into a wall,
so we forgot to mention. She also perished whatever that
Rachel Wise's character's name, yes, I can't remember, but you.

Speaker 3 (37:17):
Know, and also showed out to we forgot about this
in the like San Francisco section we're hanging out with Aquafina,
I always forget her character name and she yeah, And
then we often the distance see like the pim lab
and that's just making a bunch of zombies and people
just also see humans just giant formed to throw that
in the mix and like that yeah, that one shot

(37:37):
when when we just like throws his rings up and
like just you know, headshots that guys, It's like, god damn,
this show is nuts and I love it. And like
Blade two are ripping up some people in some just
totally savage ways. So I really like seeing all that stuff.

Speaker 1 (37:52):
Was going hard.

Speaker 2 (37:53):
I feel like, I don't know if they would ever
they put they wouldn't.

Speaker 1 (37:57):
But the same way that Marvel Alliance to adapt in
Civil War. I'd love if Marble Lines.

Speaker 2 (38:02):
Four did that where they adapt like the Marvel Zombies
road and because you just get a board of enemies
and I just feel like that the scans everything you
could play as a zombie type.

Speaker 1 (38:11):
I just that that would be a joyous experience. But
I think that's too bold.

Speaker 4 (38:16):
The boss battle potential too, Like I'm like just touching
upon episode three before we get there, like when you
have like Spider Man and Black Panther versus Thanos Zombie
Thanos and just the way like the platforms are there
and you jump around thinking that would be a sweet
boss battle and video game. So I'm there for it
if they ever do it.

Speaker 1 (38:33):
So down.

Speaker 2 (38:34):
But yeah, so they get some sort of signal that
something's on the way. We know it's name War, so
they oh, I want to say this before I forget too.
They try to do some very quick It didn't happen
because she perishes in this episode, but some setting up
of Sung she and Yolena as a.

Speaker 1 (38:48):
Couple because yeah, yeah, I'm like, oh are you guys? No, no, no, no,
we're just we never do that, and she's like, oh
that's good news. Go okay.

Speaker 3 (38:56):
So yeah, and then and then we didn't see Katie's reaction, no,
which I saw them really interactive or again about that
because she perishes.

Speaker 1 (39:03):
So yeah, I wonder.

Speaker 3 (39:05):
If that was like movies movies or.

Speaker 2 (39:07):
Yeah, either movies or was I wonder at one point
if they were like, hey, we're gonna put those two together.
But then you know, thunderbles happened. Now she's got Bob,
so I think something she is. He's out of the
running now. So I know it's not official, but I'm
with everybody that's there's there's some there's some stuff going on.

Speaker 1 (39:22):
Exactly. Or she's in Spider Man, right, maybe she's gonna
find herself a spidy boy, you know, so it's true
or Spider Man. I should say he's a man now.

Speaker 2 (39:29):
But anyways, his idea is, hey, these people said they'd
be around to saves no matter what.

Speaker 1 (39:33):
You go fight him.

Speaker 2 (39:34):
So he kind of feeds uh, our kind of main
characters to them. They do survive name more some cool
set pieces of name work. And then I think they
did a great use. That's one thing where obviously they
did in the movies, but with animation and Carmal's powers,
with this form of the crystals looks so much better
because they don't stand out.

Speaker 1 (39:51):
I think they did some really cool things things with them.

Speaker 2 (39:54):
I just love that were name wars just like rocking
towards him and he's a big shield, but then it's
like he's pushing the she down the shaft. So it's
just I think there's at least three instances where Gamal's
holding the shield and something bad in that moment. All
that happens in this episode two when he goes to
take a bite out of her hand and he gets
the like the shield, but he's slowly.

Speaker 1 (40:12):
Breaking with his teeth and then she just explodes his head. Sick.

Speaker 2 (40:16):
Yeah, I thought with her powers, which I thought was,
you know, kind of cop but they didn't just do
the stretching.

Speaker 1 (40:21):
I thought they made him look really cool here and uh.

Speaker 3 (40:23):
Like they did kind of that one big super punch
stretch in episode four.

Speaker 1 (40:28):
Yeah, that's true, it's like as.

Speaker 3 (40:31):
I also like that we got her like shooting like
hard light bullets as well at one point, like just
doing like thorn blast kind of thing.

Speaker 1 (40:38):
When they killed Gates.

Speaker 3 (40:39):
She was like, yeah, Yeah, I liked having just some
different iterations of the hard light and it looks much
better in animation than it does in live action, so
that helps too.

Speaker 2 (40:50):
Yeah, and then yeah they end in Zemo was like,
I'll take you wherever you want.

Speaker 1 (40:54):
They're going, they're going a new asscar.

Speaker 2 (40:55):
But Zemo was I get, you know, kind of had
no choice but back on the back on the good side,
I guess for a little bit.

Speaker 4 (41:02):
But uh, and he know, he's just he's there and
drops like a few jokes like I wish I was
back on my boat, all you idiots, and then like
he doesn't have any powers, really he or it doesn't
do anything. So when he's just standing there and inside
all the ass guardians like the base and just gets
ripped apart, it doesn't get to do anything really, no, you.

Speaker 2 (41:22):
Know, because we lost John here right before we got
on the ship US agent. He got ripped in half.

Speaker 4 (41:27):
I think I thought, no, he got ripped on the ship.

Speaker 2 (41:30):
I thought, I thought me in this episode, right, he
doesn't make it episode three, No, he doesn't. No, so
and then yeah, Barnzy one doesn't make that because I
think now going episode three, that's when we lose him
we lose Jimmy because so, yeah, like what Tayor was
referring to, we get a flat kind of where Marvel
Zombies ended the what if episode, which was great where
Spierman goes, oh, we're on the way to the kind

(41:51):
of make a cure, and that would have been nice
if that happened.

Speaker 1 (41:53):
And then we defeated Thanos, Well, that would have.

Speaker 2 (41:55):
Been nice if that happened, And kind of funny that
they re run and fidy ward where the war doesn't
go for the head again.

Speaker 1 (42:02):
Obviously it's a little bit different because it's a zombie.

Speaker 2 (42:04):
Yeah, they ran that back, and yeah, I wonder how
the crowd because I know it's a big crowd of people,
and I think they're gonna fix this in the the
reboot of the MCU, but are getting annoyed or upset
that they haven't recast to Charlotte because they want that
character round. So the fact that to Challa didn't speak
at all on Speiermen's like and his last words were
Wakanda forever.

Speaker 1 (42:23):
It's weird. Yeah, it was.

Speaker 2 (42:25):
It was like, I'm not saying it's not sad about chatticking,
but I think someone can voice then like animation is
to be different. It's not like it's gonna be a
new a like that, and that might there's all my
rumors are look thinking about going that route, right But
it's just it was weird that they didn't have an
actor there, but really cool fight seeing and opening here
between Thanos and Uh, our heroes from the last uh

(42:46):
what if?

Speaker 1 (42:46):
So that was a good opener of this episode.

Speaker 3 (42:49):
Yeah, yeah, I definitely just once again setting up some
big trauma for Thor to deal with and for him
to be kind of brooding and dealing with that, which
you know we get a little bit later on uh
and thank play like in a different way than the
kind of fat Thor situation that we got, because that
is one thing. It's fine, you can feel one way
or whatever about it, but I think this is kind
of something different, even if it's not you know, as

(43:11):
you know, we don't dive quite as deep into his
mental state, but it's kind of implied and then you're
getting like a nice battle out of it. But I
think I'm jumping ahead a little bit.

Speaker 2 (43:18):
Plus, you could also argue that there's just not that
same amount of food that there was in the endgame world, right,
Like I know we lost half of things, but it
still was like a regularly functionary.

Speaker 1 (43:28):
Where where I'm sure there was.

Speaker 3 (43:30):
Barren's Emo's city on the sea. They have quite a
lot of food.

Speaker 1 (43:34):
He was good, but we saw the food that for
Thor and his crew was his rocking there, which I
was surprised when they knocked and were looking for Thor.

Speaker 2 (43:41):
I did think Thor was dead, so I thought that
was gonna be their reveal. But as you said, that's not.
They knocked.

Speaker 1 (43:46):
There's a bunch of zombies just planning. The apes skewered
out there.

Speaker 3 (43:49):
The fact that his body was like still there after
Thanos hit him with a blast, I was like, oh,
he's alive for sure.

Speaker 1 (43:56):
That's fair. I was. I wasn't sure which we were going.
I wasn't sure if he was going to be a zombie,
which you know.

Speaker 3 (44:00):
Does take place scarred though, like the whole half of
his body is burned off pretty much.

Speaker 1 (44:07):
Yeah, just gone.

Speaker 2 (44:07):
But they go in there and it seems like obviously
they're still trying to their their plan is to get
to space because they think now I think at this
point they've revealed were found out that than the Novercore
could help them with this, and I guess they're that's
still their plan. But when they get to this, you know,
the mid Guard or as Guard on Earth and whatnot,
it kind of looks like a nice as of right

(44:28):
now Utopia. Everyone's drinking, you have a good time. They
have this massive stone wall, so it seems like you're
good to go. And then of course everything's going fine.
They're like, oh, yeah, we got all those food from
Scarlet Witch.

Speaker 1 (44:37):
And at first she comes in looking like a baby
face like oh I have changed, sheeld myself. Anything's fine.

Speaker 2 (44:42):
Now she's just pulling the wool over everybody's eyes. The
food is all dead zombie things. Yeah, all these zombies
come out, the other people turn the zombies. Massive fight scene,
lots of deaths here, but I thought it was and
it was great to have Olsen actually voicing the character
because we haven't heard her since twenty twenty two, and
I imagine she will be back for uh these next
two but a character that's extremely missed, and I get

(45:04):
why she wanted to kind of take a break from
the MSU, and she did. She did a lot, but
I think that's another multiverse character that just feels me.

Speaker 1 (45:12):
That character was around a bit more. I think that
would help because I think a lot of people fell
in love with that character after WandaVision and they've just
kind of been absence. I know they're in Doctor Strange's
been a very much different role. But yeah, she did
not heal herself, or she did, She's still very much
on the bad side here, scar Witch.

Speaker 3 (45:28):
Yeah, yeah, I really liked that whole sequence. I think
Valkyrie is a fun character to throw in the mix.
U kind of guiding that sequence along and then trying
to remember what where where does the comar Tage sequence
come up? That's like before this, right.

Speaker 2 (45:43):
I think so that's another like time like because they
did that with San Francisco last episode, and that's this
where it's like kind of a well, no, yeah, it
must be because the opening was the Spider, because.

Speaker 3 (45:53):
It's when they go to space and then comar Tage
people save them.

Speaker 1 (45:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (45:56):
Okay, so ahead a little bit, and.

Speaker 1 (45:58):
Remember wind Spider was so the story.

Speaker 2 (46:00):
He was telling the story to the Tom mccarr's people
as I screwed that board twice. He was telling it
to a bunch of kids sorcerers about what happened with
Wakanda and Thanos. So that's how they tied that in
and we got that whole like bison guy with the
nose ring back.

Speaker 3 (46:15):
I know, I'm glad that we finally got it dialogue
from him because we saw him in Multiverse, but everyone
was disappointed that he just died randomly, like we didn't
actually hear I.

Speaker 1 (46:24):
Couldn't remember if he died or not.

Speaker 3 (46:26):
I think he died or he just didn't say anything,
and he was like in the trailers and we're like, oh,
I'm excited to hear about this guy, and then you know,
he was just kind of whatever, and here it was
cool to see him nonetheless, So yeah, I like that whole,
that whole sequence.

Speaker 4 (46:39):
Yeah, yeah, no, I I liked it a lot. I
thought Scarlet Witch was just very freaky, very terrifying as always,
and just her her motivations in here is it's I mean,
it's different because before she was after her children and
now she's just after power and shaping the world right
into this new image. So that's a different dynamic. But

(47:02):
I like how it started where we get to see
how things are going with Wakanda and all that and
learn about this the fallout from Aconda. That's blocking out
like the upper atmosphere, setting out signals in the space
and all these different things. Just the world building aspect
of this episode was really really awesome. Ah yeah, and
just getting to see, you know, the team that we're

(47:23):
familiar with from the what If episode was really really awesome.
It was really nice to see Spider Man popping in
here really like that. And yeah, just them dealing with
the as Guardians Valkyrie was great. And like I said before,
the whole con Chew Valkyrie chatter thing was really really funny.
But just that scene when Scarlet Witch just lifts the

(47:46):
veil and everything that they're eating, and you know, there
was a brief part where it felt a little peculiar,
but yeah, just when you see it's all the zombie
body parts, the brains and the arms and all that shit,
it's like, oh, this is disgusting. And just so just
they would never I can't see them. It surprises me
that they did this, because I don't feel like Disney

(48:08):
and Marvel would have done something like this. But it
gives me hope that maybe, like there's some good storytelling
still in the future where they take risks like this,
and I hope that we can see they can kind
of they don't have to do something this graphic, but
just be bold to do these kind of story beats
because that was just fucking crazy and I loved it
and all they as Guardians are puking and turning into

(48:28):
her like God soldiers, which is just fucking wild and
such a cool thought, Like just to be in that
writer's room and they come up with that idea and like, yeah,
stamp of approval, let's do it. Like, ah, kudos to
whoever green let that because it's so it's so fantastic
and yeah, everything that's just with the Kamala and her
being like this chosen one that Scarlett which is like

(48:49):
needs to you know, get more power or whatever. Like yeah,
I'm digging that. So I think they did a fantastic
job with this episode.

Speaker 1 (48:57):
This keeps happening to Wanda, you know, they having Doctor
Strange with America Chavez and now here it's always some
little girl with the power that she needs to like
soul suck or whatever and whatnot. But yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (49:10):
In live action stuff, I think too, just because it's
like animation. That's why they feel, well, we can take
a risk here because it's it's just on the streaming service. Yeah,
I kind of, honestly, I feel like that that is
part of it. I think they just go, well, we
can get a way of it here, because they're not
paying any attention to this.

Speaker 1 (49:28):
It's a multiverse stuff, and who knows, maybe they will.
I think.

Speaker 2 (49:31):
I think a lot of it depends on the next
couple of years with Spider Man and Avengers and whatnot,
how they do and whatnot.

Speaker 1 (49:37):
So how did this episode? I think I'm missing something. Oh,
Thor does wake up? Everything's going around.

Speaker 2 (49:44):
Thorn does eventually wake up. He has a big fight
with Scarlett Witch. He's shooting powers but not he saves everybody,
Christens Miss marvel A an Avenger, but does sacrificial play,
and then he is presumably dead.

Speaker 3 (49:57):
You know, do you guys think they're they're that like
circle disc thing with like the cockpit in the middle.
Do you think I would be like aerodynamic, like would
that thing fly?

Speaker 1 (50:08):
Well?

Speaker 2 (50:11):
I think so in this world, yes, in our world,
I don't know, because in this world, I think there's
so much stuff, right, there's in Finny gallants, so I'm
sure they've done anything.

Speaker 1 (50:19):
But in real life, I I don't know. I'd have
to see some schematics.

Speaker 3 (50:23):
It was a weird design. It looked very Star warsy
to me.

Speaker 4 (50:25):
Actually, I think they missed an opportunity because I swear
it's the grand Master's party ship. And I thought when
they were gonna like hit the like hit the button
and send this like super speed whatever, and then uh
shunk SHEI hits the button. I thought we're gonna get
it's my birthday, one hundred percent thought we're gonna get that.
But it didn't happen. The ship just stopped.

Speaker 3 (50:45):
That was also super silly when Valkary is like, go
go ahead, Kamala hit the yellow button. But then when
we actually see that shot, like there is like multiple
yellow buttons, Like, how would you know? How would you
expect that she knows what button? It doesn't make any sense.

Speaker 1 (51:00):
Yeah, I don't know. I guess it's the yelbow we
didn't know about.

Speaker 2 (51:03):
But yeah, this episode ends and me going to the
next one where I can't remember where it is, but
I'm just gonna start with this somewhere in the middle there.

Speaker 1 (51:10):
Maybe it's the end of three. No, it is the
end three. I thought it was a cliffhanger when they
finally go up to space called.

Speaker 4 (51:16):
The Novacore that the cliffhanger.

Speaker 1 (51:18):
Yeah, no, of course, like, actually, no, you're we're not
gonna save you.

Speaker 2 (51:23):
There's a reason we're sitting around here is because you
guys are in quarantine and if you come to me
further or if you don't remove yourself, we're gonna kill you.

Speaker 1 (51:30):
And that's episode four ends up eitherre just in that
space ship flying along trying to avoid gunfire.

Speaker 2 (51:36):
And yeah, I actually really liked that twist because I
just thought that was almost too easy and I just
thought that's a classic. I feel like you see that
in so many apocalypse horror scary movies.

Speaker 1 (51:46):
And I don't know, I.

Speaker 2 (51:46):
Guess it's the the satanism in me that I'm like, yeah,
that's a good one, you know, because you just think, oh,
this is good, and then this whole time, no, of course,
just been ready to blow you away. So yeah, they
don't have like an act of cure. I guess whatever
is going on with the Hulk, which I.

Speaker 1 (52:01):
Thought was I don't know, wasn't wasn't a fan of
I could have used a different mulligan or sorry, a
different mcguffin, But yeah, what do we think about Novacorps not.

Speaker 2 (52:12):
Actually being the answer, but whatever's going on with Hulk
being the answer where Scarlett can't touch them, and that
becomes the whole final battle is everyone Actually we'll take
our final at break and then we'll tell about the fund.

Speaker 1 (52:22):
Battle and we're back.

Speaker 2 (52:24):
The final battle work becomes everyone protecting Hulk and scar
which's team.

Speaker 3 (52:28):
Yeah. I definitely I really like the twist of the
novacore thing because I felt like even though that was
the trajectory of the show was going on and that
was like the plot of why we're doing all the
things we're doing, it did feel like, Okay, something else
is gonna happen inevitably. And I mean I even where
this ended, like I didn't expect we were gonna end
with this kind of evil ending. You know, you just
don't really get that typically and like anything that Disney releases,

(52:51):
you know, that's just not really the way they do.
It's very right for any movie really to have just
like an ending kind of like this one. So I yeah,
as I mentioned in the overall out at the beginning,
this last fight kind of dragged for me a little bit,
and you know, part of that is probably because I
binged all these episodes back to back. If I just
kind of watched one every day for four days, I'm

(53:11):
sure it would have been fine. But I found myself
a little uninterested in some of this fight. I think
just some of the maybe choreography of it, some of
the action part of it wasn't quite as exciting. One
other thing that moments I did really love is when
Valkyrie like goes inside of like that giant zombie and
is like moving around under its flesh and like busts
through its head. That was super disgusting and cool. So

(53:34):
there were some good moments in here for sure, But
I also felt like it kind of didn't really have
an ending to it in a sense, like that Big
Battle didn't really have like one final moment because we
kind of just go into this alternate dimension thing, which
again I like that, But yeah, this is as as
I kind of mentioned the weeks of the four episodes
for me, other than you know, ending is good. But yeah,
there's still some good, good moments, and there was your

(53:55):
guys' like favorite action parts from that sequence.

Speaker 1 (54:00):
Hmmm. I feel I'm trying to think because there's one
particular for cook comedic beat I like that Abomination ram
up on the Hulk, and that didn't go well for
Abomination because this is a this is a full different
Hulk we got going on.

Speaker 2 (54:19):
I really liked the moment where for some reason, little
ant Or you know, Hank, Pim and jan were hiding
in the throat of Hawkeye and he shoots them out,
but then Blade just pops off and cuts Hank him
right and half and you see his like it's spine
and everything. So I think those were the few moments
going on there, and I actually did like when, oh there, that.

Speaker 1 (54:40):
Was another moment too.

Speaker 2 (54:41):
I can't remember which character he cooked, but when Zombie
Thor landed down and he had like red lightning and
at one point he melted someone down in the animation shaelt. Yeah,
the animation that they gave that cooking was like really
cool and really different.

Speaker 1 (54:57):
And then they tried to get the Hulk. The Hulk
was stood it. But no, I think those were a
few of the ones that I enjoyed there.

Speaker 4 (55:04):
Yeah, Spider Man again, just his little you know head hat.
Oh yeah, that was good rip off. That's nice. And
again I liked when he uh with Hank, Pim and Janet.
It was just like with Hanky was pulling like shoot
the web on his fist and pull it was like
boom boom. Yes, his big forum. So that was that
was a lot of fun.

Speaker 3 (55:24):
Nice m hm.

Speaker 1 (55:26):
And then yeah, like oh say ah no, I will
say to that point when we're talking about Spider Man,
that was great and he it was great that he
was telling that story and he was on the main characters.
But for me and maybe there's someone I don't well know,
there can't because it's TV shows.

Speaker 2 (55:42):
They do friend the name of Sperman. That's an eight
episode show. An a We're not gonna make this movie
because Spearman's in here. Make them a bigger character, make
them in there the whole way through. Make it somehow
that he linked up with Kamal Law and Kate Bishop,
like it's it's Spider Man, it's not Tom Holan. I
would understand its like, hey, it's Tom very expensive, just
put him in this, but it's not some guy doing

(56:03):
a Tom hall On kind of impression or a variation
of it. Right, So I liked that big moment, but
I wish I guess those two because they brought the
one with the punching or stuff I'd like that, but
I wish he was in there more. Even episode three,
I thought he's gonna take over his lead, but uh yeah,
episode four kind ends in a weird oak.

Speaker 4 (56:21):
I was just gonna say, you don't see him die either,
it's implied because like time's slowing down. He's just like
it's just the way he has his costume on with
his head, it just feels like he's a little candy
that seems gonna pop in this big zombies' mouth.

Speaker 1 (56:32):
Like, ah yeah. That was the other think too.

Speaker 2 (56:34):
I also felt like we didn't get much with with
a Scott Lang and that was still probably voicing him,
and I felt like there was like.

Speaker 1 (56:40):
A big moment that I really enjoyed with him, you know,
which I felt like in the original What If? That
was very fun. That was a good dynamic, maybe because
there's so much going on, but uh yeah.

Speaker 3 (56:50):
Yeah, a good point.

Speaker 1 (56:51):
Yeah. But then they get to this point where hey,
you can't touch Hulk, and then there's something where isn't
it Wanda and Miss Marvel kind of touched him at
the same time, right, So it's like a bunch of
just like stuff swirl around going on.

Speaker 3 (57:04):
Well, ambiguous energy happening.

Speaker 2 (57:06):
Yeah, sure, but that's what happens where of course, you know,
in the case, everything blows up.

Speaker 1 (57:10):
We don't know the state of it.

Speaker 2 (57:11):
But Miss Marvel's back to regular world, no zombie invasion,
Kate's there's there. They're getting milkshakes, lots of quick cutting
and editing on the dream the milkshake and words being said. Yeah,
but then she starts to see a little flickers everything,
and then there is like we talked about earlier, we
reas find a bunch of zombies, like, don't believe it's.

Speaker 1 (57:29):
Not real, and then it kind of cuts to black,
with maybe.

Speaker 2 (57:31):
Miss Marvel realizing, oh I am not worry. I think
I am, And there was no uh post credit stinger.
So yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (57:40):
I think if this was a confirmed a Hunremers in
season two, I'd be fine, But as of right now
that I don't think it's gonna happen, I really wish
just maybe the heroes one here, maybe you can leave
some sort of cliffhanger there's still zombie there, but I
don't know. It just it almost felt too much like
you have.

Speaker 2 (57:57):
To see the next part, and I don't think we're
gonna get there. So maybe I'll change my thoughts in
the future, but I didn't. I didn't love the ending.

Speaker 1 (58:03):
I was even expecting some of post credit and that
didn't happen, So I don't know.

Speaker 3 (58:09):
I was surprised to know post credit for sure. I
think the only change I'd maybe make if this is
the last thing we're gonna get of this, which is possible,
is I think I would have just taken the re
repart out of that and just straight up hat it, like, yeah,
you fucking lost and there's nothing you can do about it.
But this makes it seem like there's a glimmer of
hope and that Kamala is, like, you know, moments away

(58:30):
from snapping out of it, and then like I don't know,
like is she's still there in that location with Scarlet
Witch or did she actually get teleported to another area,
like to where like this, you know, her and her
friends would hang out, I guess in New York, presumably,
Like was she in New York and then having that
vision or was all of this like was this like
two layers inception deep of a vision still happening on

(58:52):
the battlefield there, and like presumably when Kamala breaks out,
it'll still be on the same battlefield.

Speaker 1 (58:58):
I don't know, because it's gonna awkward if re read
just showed up at this last battle and it didn't
even look like that battlefield.

Speaker 2 (59:04):
So y, I wonder if it's some situation where Scarlett,
which because she said she was chosen one can't kill her,
so she has her kind of submerge somewhere in some
weird mind trickery stuff.

Speaker 1 (59:15):
So that's why i'd say, is there a different location.

Speaker 4 (59:19):
I'd say the same, Yeah, it looks different.

Speaker 3 (59:22):
Yeah, yeah. It kind of makes me wonder, like what
else we're seeing that like isn't actually real?

Speaker 4 (59:29):
You know.

Speaker 3 (59:29):
I kind of feel like, you know, it showed us.
It was trying to be pretty obvious about it. But
at the same time, like I don't know where some
of these other character deaths like not happened, because it's
just like some fake scarlet which you dream world kind
of thing.

Speaker 1 (59:41):
Gets a little tricky, but.

Speaker 4 (59:42):
I don't know. I like it.

Speaker 3 (59:44):
But also it's quite ambiguous, so if this is truly
the end of it, it maybe needed a little couple
tweaks on the end of it.

Speaker 1 (59:51):
And I agree with you too as far as the
if it's gonna be ambiguous.

Speaker 2 (59:55):
I'm always fine with like inception. I'm fine with, oh
did the bad guys lose?

Speaker 1 (01:00:00):
Did they win? Is this vision real? Whatever's real? Then
I think, yeah, take out the re rethink because the
rearthing kind of confirms that all this is one hundred
percent fake, right, because maybe make some argument that they
did win. But because Miss Marvel went through it, she
stills those visions of the zombies, right, So it's one
that thing imagine if you did win, But it is
like a PTSD that doesn't matter.

Speaker 2 (01:00:19):
Wherever Miss Marvel goes, she's always seeing flashes of that
old universe because she lived through and she has the memory.

Speaker 1 (01:00:24):
So I think there's fun stuff you could have did
in there. So yeah, I agree with you. Just cut
out rereading. I think that would have been better you though,
I like re read, So anything else that we missed here,
I'm done. Okay, I'll go first, because I'm probably the lowest.

Speaker 2 (01:00:37):
I will give this a solid seven out of ten.
Enjoyed it, We'll watch again in the future. Did absolutely
love it. I think it's kind of like a mid
tier Marvel's ranking for me. Like I said, maybe one
be a little bit better. I think talking about it.
I did enjoy it a bit more than I thought
that I did when I originally finish it. I did
kind of watching two chunks. I watched it in the
morning a bit later on the afternoon, so I'm not sure.

(01:00:59):
Maybe it help watching all the other Maybe it would
be better just to watch it one week at a
time too, like you said earlier, Diline, that would have
been the better way. And then but it is just
like the runtime of a movie, right, it's like two hours, so.

Speaker 1 (01:01:09):
That does fit there.

Speaker 2 (01:01:10):
So yeah, seven out of ten, still really enjoyed it
was maybe just hoping for I appreciate the concept. I
appreciate a lot of the characters they brought back and
the storylines. I appreciate that they did go really much
like a lot of Gore. I think the tone could
have been a little bit different, a little veered off
from regular what iff for even regular MCU at times.

Speaker 1 (01:01:29):
But yeah, that's where I'm a seven out of ten.

Speaker 3 (01:01:31):
I'll drump one simple point up to eight out of ten.

Speaker 1 (01:01:36):
Nice there you go. Yep.

Speaker 4 (01:01:38):
Oh, I'm gonna go a full uh full tenor here
to the ten.

Speaker 3 (01:01:43):
Woh you dirty dog?

Speaker 4 (01:01:46):
Yeah, I thoroughly enjoyed this. I had a really really
good time with this episode. So or with this this
show not episode Uh yeah, and I'm I'm very much
excited to rewatch it because it's just it was a
good time and this is the gore and the deaths
and everything that they did. I just I was not
able to keep up to just the the craziness of this.

(01:02:06):
So a season two, I I can't wait. You you
can get a little saucy.

Speaker 1 (01:02:11):
Over there, and one of the neighbors is having a
big hit out there. I would say, just tip your
expectations on the season too. I'm with you hoping for it.
That'd be great, sure, but don't don't. I wouldn't say
don't expect it. You know it's you know, I don't
think anything's I.

Speaker 2 (01:02:29):
Think you can expect more X Men, more Spider Man,
you expect Wonder Man in December to that's our last inspecting. Yeah,
which I'm sure they're going to drop Binge and everything
and then uh yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:02:39):
Do you guys Taylor, did you know you were watch it?
Did you ever finish Iron Hard?

Speaker 4 (01:02:43):
No? No, I can't remember how many episodes in I am,
but I will finish it.

Speaker 2 (01:02:47):
I will finish okay, because we got that and then
we you well, actually I still have to I have
not watched The Eyes.

Speaker 1 (01:02:53):
Of Wakanda one or the Willkana forever.

Speaker 2 (01:02:56):
So we got a couple of things to finish up
before the Golden Geeks.

Speaker 1 (01:03:00):
But that's next year, which I don't know what we're
gonna do. I guess we'll have to see for next
year because right now it's just Spider Man and Doomsday.
We'll have to see how many TV shows we get because.

Speaker 3 (01:03:09):
Maybe we'll be sunsetting the seven another season ninety seven
coming on?

Speaker 1 (01:03:13):
Yeah there should they have said win, but yeah, that
could be it.

Speaker 2 (01:03:15):
But I think if we get to a state where
Marvel only puts out three projects, we'll do Golden Geeks
will sunset it. But that would probably be probably be
the end of that. We did start that when we
were again like ten shows every month.

Speaker 1 (01:03:26):
It's like, look at all this stuff, you know, so
Maybee maybe this maybe what we'll do is we'll do
it up until uh uh Secret Wars. I think they'd
be good, and then with the New era we can.

Speaker 3 (01:03:36):
Do every phase.

Speaker 1 (01:03:37):
God, yeah, that would actually be fun in the future.

Speaker 2 (01:03:40):
Yeah, the phase because we do our always our phase rankings, right,
we always do like the ranking the re rankings of
the movies and characters and stuff. So that'll be a
fun thing in the future to do a Phase one.
So but yeah, uh, we'll be back for Wonder Man
and the MSU. Obviously there's the Marvel news and stuff
that's gonna be happening.

Speaker 1 (01:03:55):
Next year's gonna be after that. Great we got Avengers,
Spider Man, Marvel, Will of Rain, maybe Captain America and
Black Panther Hydrogame. Is that gonna happen, right doing? Is
that happening?

Speaker 3 (01:04:09):
Apparently it's coming on next year?

Speaker 1 (01:04:10):
Yeah, yeah, but I mean like it's actually is it
coming out? Though? That's saying like is it. I've seen
a lot of people worried it's not gonna make it.

Speaker 3 (01:04:17):
I I'll say yes, I'll see yah.

Speaker 1 (01:04:21):
There you go. Yeah, until then, I won't be born
