(00:08):
When I look in the mirror,I don't see wrinkles. When I look
in the mirror, I see hairon my head, not my shoulder.
And hello, Hello, Hello,This is Adrian Bergen. This is Generation
Bold, the Fountain of Truth, the Fountain of truth about what well in
(00:30):
the Fountain of truth about aging. And this will be our second show.
And I guess about four years thatwe've had on CBD. About four years
ago, I began to see thetrend among the boomers and the older adults
interested in CBD, wondering if it'sany different than the grass they used to
they used to inhale or didn't inhale, as one of our presidents once said.
(00:53):
And I wrote an article saying,it's not your grandma's weed anymore,
and it certainly isn't. And Iwanted to have an expert on the business
of CBDON and we did that severalyears ago. But since then, boy
has this industry exploded. And infact it is an industry. And all
of you have out a lot ofquestions. Is it good for you,
(01:15):
what's your dosage? How do youtake it? What can you use it
for? Does it interfere with theU out of medications, and we have
an expert and one of the leadersin the field of CBCBD with us today.
His name is Ronald Diamond. Ifany of you are magicians, you
may know the great ron Joe theMagician. He is also for forty nine
years an entrepreneur in the field ofmagic. And for those of you who
(01:38):
love entrepreneurship, you're going to holdonto your hats for our second session with
him today when we talk about howhe's been able to meld two companies and
why it's been so successful. Butlet's start with the CBD angle. Thank
you ron for being with us today. Thank you so much for inviting me
to your program. Well, I'mexcited to unravel this for myself as well
(02:00):
as for the listeners. So firstof all, you have a very powerful
website. Please give everybody the website. You're the president and founder of the
company. And what is the websiteof the company. Their website is best
CBD Wellness dot com. Now youcan actually deliver CBD all over the country.
But you also have a hands onbrick and mortar shop in Port Jefferson,
(02:24):
Long Island, so people can comeand visit you. And you also
unravel these things that people have questionsby email or even phone. So if
they'd like to ask you at theend of the day some questions and get
some real legitimate answers, what's thebest email address for them to use?
The best email would be info atbest CBD Wellness dot com. And of
(02:49):
course there's always around. This willbe on our website as well, Adrianberg
dot com. So now let's delvein. There's a lot of categories of
what you can do with CBD beforewe even know what CBD is. We've
got pain relief, we've got sleephelp, we've got beauty. Tell us
some of the categories that people shouldbe thinking about if they're interested in CBD.
(03:12):
Okay, first of all, whenpeople are not familiar with what CBD
is, they automatically assume it's marijuana, and it's not. There's two separate
plants. There's a hemp plant anda marijuana plant, but the word cannabis
encompasses both plants under the one title. Both plants have the same breakdown as
(03:37):
marijuana indica, hybrid or sativa. Those are just different strains for different effects
that marijuana would give you, andwe also have the same effects for CBD,
which is hemp. Now, whenyou think about this, and you
don't want that high, that's notwhat you're interested in. What you want
is that pain relief or better sleepor better health. Are you looking for
(04:00):
a particular brand, the particular dosagepeople are after and what should they be
thinking about? And that's a goodquestion. That's the difference between the two
plants. That marijuana has psychoactive properties. The hemp plant has minimal. There's
maybe a trace of the three tenthsof a percent on the hemp plant,
(04:23):
and on the marijuana plant they havemaybe five percent of hemp on the hemp
side. Is what we need tobenefit our bodies for everyday physical functionality,
whether you have high blood pressure, frequent urination, you can't sleep, anxiety,
all of these things are caused fromhypertension. And CBD is a natural
(04:47):
anti inflammatory that once you consume it, either in an oil or a vape
or even an actual wall flower, and you inhale it like you would do
a marijuana cigarette, you bring itinto the bloodstream. Most of the people
like the tinctures or the oils thatgo under the tongue because it gets digested
(05:11):
through the saliva. Very quickly andthe results are amazing. Now, one
of the products, and these areproducts, and they are over the counterproducts.
You do need prescriptions. We're nottalking about medical marijuana here where I
have had a prescription because of cancersor whatever else. Great great pain.
There are a variety of ways thatyou can administer it. As you said,
(05:34):
the tinctures is one. The ediblesyou mentioned coffee and tea and creams,
and we also have gummies and gummies. Now, one of the things
I know you're famous for is thethe creams that are pain relieving creams.
Explain that, and do they havedosages? Yes, they have what's called
CBD milligrams. It's measured in milligramsof how much CBD is in each product.
(05:59):
And are pain cream starts at sixtymilligrams and goes up to twenty nine
hundred milligrams on some brands, andon some brands that will go up to
forty five hundred milligrams. Now,when we were talking off the air,
I said, what is the onething you wanted to bring out that everyone
should know? What? I thinkwe should start with that right here,
And that was how natural this is? So explain that it's all natural.
(06:21):
It will not interfere with any medication. We deal with over thirty doctors in
our community that recommend our shop totheir patients when they can't get the results
that the patients need, whether it'sjoint pain, whether it's a rheumatologist or
a cardiologist, they send us theirpatients because they trust us. Because we've
(06:42):
been in business for forty nine years. The CBD division is five years with
us now, and that's part practicallyfrom the beginning of CBD's popularity and also
the beginning of CBDs legality wasn't alwayslegal, So you know, five years
a long time actually in that industry, correct. And the real question is
(07:03):
how did I come up with theidea to sell CBD in my already existing
business. I took CBD myself becauseI could not get a good night's sleep.
My anxiety levels were high running abusiness, running life in daily schedules,
and when I obtained a great night'ssleep with a natural product, I
(07:25):
couldn't tell enough people in a dayhave you ever heard of CBD? Have
you ever heard of CBD? Nobodyheard about it. So I made some
room in my shop and I didall my investigations for over a year,
and I got the products that Ibelieved in that with third party lab tested,
and I'll explain what that means. That means whatever the bottle says means
(07:46):
nothing. Another outside lab has totest that bottle to ensure that you're getting
seven hundred and fifty milligrams of CBDin that bottle. Now, one of
the things I do want to askyou, Ben in our next segment is
side effects neutraceuticals like coqu ten.I just took some myself very a couple
of minutes ago. I take aboutfifteen or sixteen neutraceuticals and vitamins every single
(08:09):
day, so do most people whocare about their own longevity. But honestly,
we're all shooting from the hip.We really don't know exactly what to
take. We read this expert orthat expert, or something new comes out
gets advertised, and we'd take itand we hope that it doesn't interfere with
other medications that are prescribed. SoI'm going to take a look at that
(08:31):
at the CBD world in the sameway as I take a look at the
neutraceutical world and the vitamin world. When we come back, which is something
that you do for yourself, whetherwithout the doctor saying it's great or not.
That you ought to tell your doctorthat you're taking it, just like
you ought to tell your doctor ifyou're taking even just a vitamin C.
Is there any side effects? Whenwe come back, we're going to take
(08:54):
a look at this. We're herewith Ronald Diamond. He's one of the
leaders, one of the very firstresponders to the world of CBD, which
is now all over the place, and I think we all need to know
more, don't you guys? Goanywhere all. But that doesn't bother me,
not even because I am happy andI'm inappropriate for my aged You may
(09:26):
think that I'm all of it.That don't bother me, not even because
I am happy and I'm inappropriate.Oh my, and hello, hello,
Hello. This is Adrian Berg andthis is Generation bout the Fountain of Truth,
(09:46):
the Fountain of Truth about aging. And I have a couple of announcements.
The first week in April, Iwill be at the United Nations because
that entire week, entire week arespecial sessions on the hu rights of older
persons. I will be reporting.I will tell you all about it.
And then that's a prelude to aconference that I'll be covering in Bangkok at
(10:09):
the end of June of this year, which is IFA International Federation on Aging,
and I have just been named theIFA representative. There are four others
in different parts of the world tothe United Nations. So why is that
important to you? It's important toyou because there are many rights that you
think you have until you try toexercise them and you get a root awakening.
(10:30):
It's also important because we are privilegedhere in the United States, but
we do care about our brothers andour sisters who don't have rights in other
countries. And secondly, my courseis now available that is the course called
Speak Out Communication. Had to move, touch and inspire anyone anywhere, at
any time. So if you feelthat because of your age, you're being
(10:52):
listened to less, it's not necessary. This brings you to the next level
of communication, whether you're volunteers, starting your own business, whether you want
to talk to your grandkids or yourchildren better, if you're a volunteer or
very important, you want to getyour point across to your healthcare professionals,

up information. If you're interested inspeaking better and that can be online as
well in zooms, person to personor even if you're writing a letter,
you're gonna want to speak out communication. Now let's get back to our wonderful
guests. His name is Ronald Diamond. He is one of the leaders in
(11:37):
the field of CBD. He isvery sensitive to the issues of the old
adult and the boomer. He's aboomer himself, just a little barely a
boomer, almost the boomer, anda great entrepreneur. Before we talk about
his entrepreneurship, I want to throwthis out to you. Ron We ended
last segments saying what about side effects. I've recently learned that certain prescription medication
(12:00):
you shouldn't take if you eat grapefruits. So CBDs, how do we know
the right dosage and how do weknow if it's a contraindicated with some of
the prescription mids that we take.Well, the beautiful part is it doesn't
interfere with regular medication at all,and there are no side effects because there's
(12:20):
no psychoactive properties. It does alteryour state of mind when you're taking CBD
gummies at night to go to bedto get a good RESTful sleep, because
it will allow you to relax. It'll act you, allow you to calm,
be calm and stay asleep and gointo it very nice deep sleep that
(12:41):
restores your body. You go,you're gonna go pass rem And the beautiful
part is if the alarm clock's comingon, this is not a narcotic,
so you will get up from thealarm if something. I just want to
interrupt you on this. When theaura rings, they measure and they have
shown that people who take CBDs dobetter with their sleep than people who don't.
(13:05):
Absolutely, absolutely, and when youcan maintain a good night's sleep,
the next day, you are revitalized, You have energy, you are ready
to you know, take on whateverproject you thought you wanted to do.
You can do now. One ofthe things that people take is melatonin.
When they take melatonin, they justbuy a dosage that looks right to them
(13:28):
in CBS or you know, anany right aid whatever. But it's funny.
Then here it's fun it's funny. You should bring that up because that's
the first experiment I did. Becausemelantonin is a natural product, except I
found out some details that it getsstored in your kidney and liver area and
you can't get rid of it.So when I transformed into the CBD,
(13:50):
it's natural. It actually disinfects yourbody. It maintains a cleansliness inside your
body and you build up your immunesystem, which ABD Melantonin would get you
a little bit comfy and drowsy, but it wouldn't get you into that deep,
RESTful sleep to restore your body. Now you mentioned milligrams. Just like
(14:13):
vitamins, we don't always know onehundred mgs. This one's three hundred mgs.
We pick what sightless seems right. How do you know the dosages here?
Well, here in the shop. When we have a consultation and we
took to the client and we seetheir body size, their age, their
activity levels, we kind of advisethem to take a medium amount of dosage,
(14:37):
not because it can hurt them. It's just to you know, watch
the pocketbook, because we don't wantyou to take too much. You just
waste money. We want you totake what your body can absorb and use
and be useful. So when Istarted taking it, I was taking twenty
five milligrams to go to bed,and as I got older, I needed
to go to forty milligrams or tofifty milligrams. Maybe my anxiety levels were
(15:01):
up higher. I don't know theanswer, but fifty milligrams for myself seemed
to be the magic milligrams. AndI would like to make a comment about
this as I'm getting old. I'msixty four years old. When I was
fifty seven, I was on adiuretic medication. I was on blood pressure
(15:22):
pills. I am I'm on zeromedication now zero. So because it's an
anti inflammatory CBD. When you havea urination problem and you have to go
every twenty minutes, especially at nightwhen you're trying to go to bed,
and you have to be very disruptive, very disruptive, very disruptive. And
I found out that I only tookit to go to bed. I didn't
(15:43):
realize it was going to help mewith a urination situation. And all of
a sudden, I was not gettingup five times a night. I was
getting up three times, sometimes twotimes, sometimes no times, sometimes one
time. And that that's when Irealized this is doing more for my body
than I can imagine. And thenyou expect it, and it was like
(16:06):
a bonus. As we've been doingthis for over five years, we accumulated
a list from our beautiful clients thatcame in to our shop from ADHD addictions
that they have overeating, not eatingenough, and your malnutrition. So now
you need to be able to becalm to eat. I'm going to turn
the tables on you for a minute, and that is beauty. I will
(16:30):
tell you, because I'm full disclosureto my listeners, I don't take CBD
except I use it in skincare andI've discovered that it's been very powerfully good,
particularly living in the desert. Butthe truth is, I don't know
why. It's usually in some sortof an oil and it's usually in some
sort of a cream. How aboutthose products. I'm going to tell you
(16:52):
why we are big seller here islip bomb. Our lip bomb is unbelieving
and it doesn't matter if you're inAlaska or if you're in California. The
lip bomb treatment that we have withall the other natural ingredients that go with
the CBD, that lip bomb isfifty milligrams of CBD. It is so
(17:15):
powerful for the skin that if youcut yourself shaving, you can put the
lip bomb on it. It'll stopthe bleeding and disinfect it and heal and
seal your skin. If you've gota mosquito bite, you can put it
on and you will not have theitching and you'll see the bump of the
mosquito bite descend. That's how incredibleCBD is. And one of our rheumatologists
told me that if you've got anopen wound and open wound on your body,
(17:40):
you can take the tincture oil thatyou would normally put under your tongue
and drop it in the open woundand it would disinfect, heal and seal
well. Once we knew that, then I did the research and made sure
that we had the best lip bombon the planet and it's made by best
CBD Wellness. So now when wecome back, we're going to talk about
this morphing from one totally different kindof business into another and there and there's
(18:03):
a reason for it. It's notjust because I think it's a fascinating topic
how one becomes a later life entrepreneurin a totally different UH industry. But
it's really about trust. This CBDstuff, honestly is about that is the
key word, Adrian, that thatI forgot to mention yes, yeah,
and we'll see why. The isthis trust factor in a best CBD wellness
(18:29):
will be back in just a moment. All but that doesn't bother me,
not even a because I am happyand I'm inappropriate for my age. You
may think that I'm all of it. Don't bother me, not even because
(18:53):
I am happy and I'm inappropriate. And hello, Hello, Hello, this
is Adrianbergen. This is Generation Bout, the Fountain of Truth, the fountain
of truth about aging. And I'mvery excited because only yesterday you're hearing it
(19:14):
first on my show. I didpublish my course Speak Out Communication had to
move, touch and inspire anyone, anywhere, at any time. It is
the only communications course specifically designed forbaby boomers and older persons, specifically catering
to your sensibilities understanding how you usetechnology. It's an on demand course.
(19:38):
It's a very inexpensive course, bythe way, and you can get a
lot of information about it on thewebsite. The website is published on adrianberg
dot com and you will also seea drop down with a discount code to
make it even less expensive for mywonderful listeners. So that is Speak Out
Communications I will also tell you thatthere is a new podcast for those of
(20:02):
you who are in not for profitorganizations. I now I'm the podcaster for
the United Nations podcast on the Ground, and it is a podcast explaining to
organizations what's working in the field ofmaking social change. So that's called on
the Ground and you'll find that everywhereiTunes, iHeartRadio, Spotify, wherever you
(20:23):
have an interest. And now let'sgo back. Of great interest to me
is the use of CBD. Ifell into using it for beauty, as
I explained, and I didn't evenknow they were CBD in what I was
using. And I so results andI said, what's this all about.
I have not yet used it.I'll take about fifteen vironaments and nutraceuticals,
(20:45):
but none for sleep. And asyou heard from our guest, Ronald Diamond,
who was the president and founder ofone of the older leading companies in
CBD, Best CBD Wellness, andyou can find all the information out on
I believe it's WESTCBD Wellness dot com. But I'll let him correctly if I'm
wrong there. But Ron let's tossit to you. Telling everybody the email
(21:08):
for questions they may have the websiteagain, and then we do want to
talk about this issue of why allof this works and why you were able
to launch this business in a verydifferent arena than you used to. So
first, what is the website again? It's best CBD Wellness dot com.
(21:29):
Great email address info at best CBDWellness dot Com. Now you don't just
you're located yes in puffs. PutJefferson aloud, New York. However,
people can order online and we'll getphone consultations wherever you are in the US.
Now you don't just wake up inthe morning, run and just start
(21:52):
a new business. Right, There'sa structure and there is the issue of
client getting So your journey to this, I think is fascinating entrepreneurial story.
Tell it to us. Okay, let's step back a little bit prior to
the CBD launch that we did fiveyears ago. When I was a young
(22:14):
man thirteen years old, I wasa performing magician and I love to entertain
people and just have them had thatsmile come out and make them forget everything.
And I immersed my whole career ondoing magic shows. And one of
my friends said, you're so goodwith the children, you should open up
a magic store and sell some magictricks. So in nineteen seventy four,
(22:36):
a few years after performing shows only, I opened up a magic store.
And now I'm fifteen and a halfyears old and I'm in a retail environment.
I'm in a mini flea market withtwo hundred and fifty four store owners.
I'm too young to sign a lease, so I knocked one. I
knocked one. About a hundred ahundred store owners had leases. I said,
(23:00):
if you put me in there,I will draw a crowd for you,
I promise, And everybody had anexcuse. My wife's not here,
my partner's away on vacation. Andfinally I came across the store owner that
was desperate. His sales was solittle. He said, I could use
the help at the rent, andI put my two foot by four foot
showcase of magic tricks twelve magic tricks. Well, now let's speed up the
(23:22):
conversation. From nineteen seventy four tillnow. We've been in the same community
this year as forty nine years, celebrating our magic and costume store. But
everything I've done in my whole lifeof existence was passion driven. If I
believe in it, I do itand I make it happen. So from
(23:42):
the magic shows to education, havingmagic school, magic camp, and just
magic lessons for all ages, trainingto professionals that some of you have seen
on national television. We dedicated ourpassion to our business. And about five
years ago, I suffered from alack of sleep. My blood pressure was
(24:07):
a high anxiety all of a sudden, I'm getting old. I'm, you
know, fifty seven years old,and I have frequent urination issues and I'm
like, this is this is notright. I don't want to be like
my father, taking very different medications. So I discovered CBD, and I
when I discovered it, I didmy research for over a year and a
(24:29):
half and it only came at thattime in a gummy form, and I'm
so paranoid. I wouldn't even takean aspirin. So when I tell you
that my body, if you hadto come up with a way to rate
it was disney rated. I wouldnot. Even if somebody's smoking, I'd
walk away. I would not wantto contaminate my body with any pollution.
(24:52):
And I tried the gummy and Ifelt a relaxation sensation. It was just
calming. And you know a lotof people look for that calming, uh,
you know, homeostasis. They're lookingto get to that spot where they
can function fully. And our endocannabinroid system loves CBD. We have receptors
(25:17):
for marijuana, off for CBD,and it's it's our CBD receptors CB one
and CB two. It's it's onour charts, it's it's in our body.
Now, I didn't know I wasmalnutritioned in some of these things.
And I took the gummies and Istarted to take them on a weekly basis.
Then it turned into a monthly basis, and then it turned into a
yearly basis. And with that, not only did I get good sleep,
(25:41):
but all of a sudden, Icame off of my blood pressure pill.
All of a sudden, I cameoff off of my diuretic pill. And
I started to ask my existing clientsthat have been coming to me for over
forty nine years. So that meansa ten year old is now fifty nine
years old. Yes, a twentyyear old, you know, you do
the You grew up with them,You actually grew up with him. You
(26:02):
saw it fifteen and they were fifteen, and they thought I was always thirty
when I was sixteen because the storeowner. So I gotta be old.
So I said to them, youknow I've been taking this for sleep,
and you know some people have joinedpain Let me. Let me show you
what I have. And I introducedthe pain cream because a lot of people
(26:23):
came in with arthritis issues. Ohmy elbows, my knees, my neck,
my hands, I can't hold apackage anymore. Well, I would
imagine if you're a magician, oreven if you're a hobbyist magician and you
do close up magic, you haveto having figures that are not romantoid stiff
correct. So we had people,Actually this is interesting. One of my
(26:48):
friends retired and moved to Florida. He came in with a box of magic,
said give this to a kid.I can't do it anymore. And
I said, what are you talkingabout? Come over here. I got
some pain cream. I put thepain cream because we always let in our
shop them try the pain cream toshow that it works, because they'll trust
the cream before they'll take an oilor a gummy. And when they get
(27:10):
results within three minutes or less, they're amazed. They're astonished. Now I've
earned their trust. Now they'll talkto me about a gummy or oil.
Yes, Because one of the thingsthat is very difficult in the world of
CBD, to be honest about thisindustry is because it's so new, people
go into it with backgrounds that havenothing to do with wellness, or nothing
(27:33):
to do with medicine, or nothingto do with health even and I saw
this funny enough many years ago inthe financial industry, when I learned that
so many people who get licensed, you'd ask them what was your background?
I was like, what we usedto sell shoes or I was a habit
dasher. And the next thing, you know, that teaching people what stocks
(27:53):
to buy, but they had toget certified. And it wasn't the wild
West, but at the beginning,it really was. You could call yourself
a financial advisor, not a broker, with not an out of training.
Now that has changed. What's goingon in this industry When we come back,
we're going to find out if there'sgoing to be more regulation, less
(28:15):
regulation, or where it's going Aquestion that the vitamin folks and the nutraceutical
folks are asking themselves every day, don't you guys go anywhere? But that
doesn't bother me, not even abecause I am happy and a I'm inappropriate
(28:37):
for my age. You may thinkthat I'm all bother me, not even
because I am happy and I'm inappropriate. Oh my, and hello, Hello,
(28:59):
Hello, This is Adrianberg, andthis is Generation bout the Fountain of
Truth, the Fountain of Truth aboutaging. Now, one of the things
I've done this week is I tooka survey on agism and what I believe
could be done about it. Youcan all take that survey. I'm going
to also give you the URL fortaking that survey in on our website Adrianberg
(29:22):
dot com. So more and more, we are making our website more robust
as you know. You can hearour podcasts on it, including four or
five years of podcasts that have beenarchived, and our blog, and you
will get the information about our guests. Right on the first page. Will
be Ron Diamond for at least oneweek, so that those of you want
to reach him can do so.You'll get the discount coupons from my latest
(29:47):
course, Speak Out Communication, andwe are launching in a couple of months,
but I'm giving you a fair warning. Don't book your travel without us
the Ageless Traveler, and we'll getsome interesting survey is from you, so
we know where we should be takinghim. All this on adrianberg dot com.
So now let's go back to Ron. There are two very provocative things
(30:08):
that I want to cover with youbefore we lose you here on. One
is the idea of regulation. Theother is pricing. But regulation first.
So the FDA is very careful. It regulates food, it regulates prescription drugs.
It has not yet been regulating vitaminsor nutraceuticals. A very controversial issue
in the field of aging and wellness. What's the scoop with CBD? And
(30:33):
how do you know that you've gotconfidence in the products that you suggest?
And that's an excellent question, Adrian, because a lot of people will think
they're buying CBD pain cream, butit's really made with hempseed oil. Now
hempseeds you could buy in a supermarketand it's very good for your digestive system,
it's amazing, But the benefits forthe pain relief, for the anti
(30:59):
inflammatory situations, you need the oilthat's extracted from the leaf of the plant.
So when you're buying CBD, youhave to make sure there's real cannabinoids
that are in that cream that you'repurchasing, and when they state it's seven
hundred and fifty milligrams or it's fifteenhundred milligrams, you have to make sure
it's a third party lab tested product. That means an independent lab took a
(31:22):
sample of that cream and they investigatedall the properties that are in that cream
and they certified that, yes, there's seven hundred and fifty milligrams of pure
CBD cannabinoid oil. So that's wherethe regulations are important for the consumers to
understand what are you buying, what'sin that jar? Now, is there
(31:44):
a rampant selling of none third partytesting? Is there's something we should watch
out for claims that are just toogood to be true. There are some
articles that finally came out, andremember I started this five years ago.
Five years ago, it was afree full you didn't know whose product was
really legitimate. And now I wouldsay the last two or three years,
(32:08):
you'll see articles written and upcome someof the companies that were out five years
ago that claimed that there was fiftymilligrams, but then when they did the
third party lab test, there wastwenty five or thirty milligrams. They weren't
consistent. So now they're exposed, and so now they had up their game
(32:28):
and either comply to the milligrams thatare on the label or move on and
go out of business. And we'veseen a few different companies fall, but
we also saw so many more comeinto the game. Everybody's jumping on the
game. So now we're polluted withso many companies and everybody's price crazy and
they will discounting crazy. And whenthey do that, are you getting a
(32:52):
good product? So you maybe gettingpure cannabinoid oil, But what's the cream
that they're mixing it with. Arethose cream natural ingredients or they just jump
to mix in with it to keepthe course down. And that's where we
come in at Best CBD Wellness. All of our ingredients are natural. Our
(33:12):
skincare products or hand lotion or lipbomb. You can feel the difference because
when you put it on, it'snot greasy and goopy. It soaks right
into the skin and you don't evenknow what's on your skin anymore. It
just absorbs beautifully into your skin. Now, you know, in the in
the beauty world, which I knowmore than in the let's say, pain
relief and so on, price pointsare very strange. The fancy of the
(33:37):
marketing, get yourself a Kardashian tosay it's great and pay them a million
dollars. So you have to,of course increase the price of the cream,
so that so much of the costof beauty creams it's actually the marketing
and not what you're getting or thebottle or the beauty of where you're going
and who's selling it, if it'sonly from a spa as opposed to let's
(34:00):
going into a drug store. Arewe seeing the same things with CBDs in
general, not only in the beautypart of it, but that you're paying
different prices for what is basically thesame stuff. And yes, I'm sure
there are some companies that don't havethe funds or resources to hire a spokesmodel,
(34:20):
you know, for their products, and their products may be just as
good as those highly advertised products. However, it's it's trial and error.
You if you if if you drinkCoca cola, you're not going to drink
pepsi. Once you find a productthat works for you, you're not going
to want to steer away because you'resaving a couple of dollars. Because you
(34:43):
see the results, you may dabbleand if it doesn't happen the way you
like it, You're going to goright back to Coca cola. Well,
you know, you sense something interesting, you said, people may try out
newbies will try out a cream first. Do they feel that it's safer because
they're not in testing it? Andis that a good idea to start?
Abyss? It's a trust. It'sa trust to see how cold the water
(35:07):
is. You know, you putyour toes in first and you go,
O case, it's not bad.And then you step in the step and
you go into water and you swim. Well, the topical is it's less
obtrusive, So you're going to putit on your elbow. And when I'm
talking to a client and in threeminutes or less, they look at me
and I see their face. Reliefalready they already have. The pain has
already gone. I see it andthey're moving their elbow up and down,
(35:29):
left and right. They go,how is this working? This is impossible.
I went to doctors, rheumatologists andthey couldn't get rid of that pain.
Well, it's an anti inflammatory naturally, so it's going to source out
where the inflammation is. That's whythe relief happens within three to five minutes
now before we close. Everything isevolving and in a new industry, which
(35:52):
this isn't it relatively new, althoughmany people will tell you that it started
hundreds of years ago. We justhad a high hiatus. What's new?
What do you think is the nexttrend with regard to this? What are
you seeing it being used for thatmight be evolving or again the way you
talk about different ways of administering itthat might be evolving that you think is
(36:14):
important moving forward, They're going toexperiment with a lot of different terpenes,
and terpenes are like lemon grass, sea grass, and they blend them in
with the CBD, So terpenes isdefinitely on a rise. Once the CBD
community is one thousand percent solid ontheir CBD, they will be the first
(36:37):
candidates to explore with terpines. Andwe're seeing it now here on our shop.
They're all to define that for us, and everybody knows what a terpene
is. The terpene is an oilthat comes like your essential oils that you
would use in relaxation and you're burninga candle. Those terpines are now ingested,
not the same exact terpenes and acandle like you're going to your body.
(37:00):
But there's terpenes like lemon grass orlemon peel. These have different effects
in your body. So when youblend CBD with a terpene, you enrich
the effect that CBD delivers. Well, now they're going to start exploring with
mushrooms, believe it or not.And I'm not talking about psyche psychedelic mushrooms
(37:21):
where you get high and looping. There are benefits and you know, and
I know in the vitamin world, you know I shall go wanda all these
different Okay, well, they're goingto do the same thing with mushrooms that'll
give you a sleep, and I'mexperimenting right now with it. But so
far, hands down, my CBDis one Coca cola. It works,
(37:45):
and the mushroom oils that I'm tryingand experimenting with, it's not as strong
or it's not as sustaining for awhole night's sleep. But they're saying,
I will just finish this little segmentbecause I am very transparent with my listeners.
I take a lot of powders andtwo of them are mushroom powders,
(38:08):
and they do go into tea yourcoffee or they go into yogurt, but
I take them into powders. Andit's very interesting psychologically because I'm eating that
right, that's an edible and yetand yet it feels safe to me,
whereas if I were taking it asa medication or a pill and there are
(38:30):
mushroom pills and so on, that'stoo much. So I think we we
can end with this thought, dowhat feels comfortable for you. If something
does not feel comfortable for you, you'll get all kinds of ideas about what
it's doing for you, and it'scertainly going to do the opposite of calming
you down. So always work withpeople you trust, and always do something
(38:52):
that feels comfortable, and you canbuild on that. But we come back
right talk to it right here here, because three out of five are on
CBD already. Well, that's whywe're having this show because what used to
be a taboo subject now is everywhereand on every street corner. I wanted
to say something to everybody that isbeen on my mind, that has been
(39:15):
on my mind. There is awonderful person who was the head of the
Global and Geo Communications Executive Committee forthe United Nations and his name is Patrick
Shirata. He was the one whoasked me and I agreed to be the
host of on the Ground, whichis the new podcast of GENEC that stands
(39:36):
for GENEC, the Global and GEOExecutive Committee. And he passed away last
week and so while there's a bigtribute to him coming up and one on
our latest podcast, I didn't wantto miss this opportunity to say to my
listeners that there is a terrific committeeand regardless of Patrick's passing, and in
(39:59):
tribute to him, it's going tocontinue. So that if you are a
volunteer, if you're working in anNGO with any kind of mission and it
relates to the United Nations, thisis going to continue. So we really
do, mister Patrick. I amso sad because I had such wonderful ideas
about what we could do in thefuture, and to the extent I knew
(40:22):
and know your plans, I willcarry them out as best I can.
And now let's go back and saygoodbye to Ronald Diamond. But before we
do run, just once again, where can we find you? How can
we email you? And how canwe visit you? Well, again,
we are located along our New YorkPort Jefferson Station or website is Best CBD

five three and anywhere in the countryyou can receive their products by mail.

that I'm giving you a lot ofopportunity to meet with this entrepreneur, as
