oh six point five, TENBC News, CNBC News at NBC
Sports Radio station AM ten fifty f M one.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
O six point five.

Speaker 4 (01:00):
Streaming everywhere iHeartRadio, Spotify, iTunes, Student in Audible, Amazon Music,
take you that rum book, not as a spreaker, speaker
and more.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
Why so many places.

Speaker 4 (01:10):
I want to maximize my flatter zone for more open happiness.
So I want to balance out all the bad mues
out there, all the headlines. You're not going to get
them here. If you want them, there's everywhere to go to.
But this is the only place that for the last
six hundred and ninety five consecutive weeks, we've had good news,

(01:30):
good people, great series. As it is in studio today,
you'll see that he Rebel is sandwiched between MB studios,
also known as Brian and Nikki. He is live out
in Timbuktu, I mean Westland College. And I only say

(01:51):
that because they want me to go there and it's
so far. I will be out there actually, I think
the next time we're on.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
So let's see Ricky. You all know rebels are in
the house. I can't.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
This is the only downside is I can't see who's
here on they're on your chat, so you'll just have
to tell me who's there. But I do have eyeballs
in my studio right now encouraging you to check in,
not while you're driving, but.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
When you get anywhere.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
Solid I go to my YouTube TV channel free subscribe,
give me the finger, this one not the other one.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
And today is a party. You know, Ricky Rebel. You
was discovered by Michael Jackson and.

Speaker 4 (02:36):
Signe to Madonna, on tour with Britney Spears and so
much more, and he continues to just wake up his
creative juices. And today we are going to celebrate again.
Y'all saw me when I was doing my hashtag dancing clean.
Gonna do it again because it's just life's too short

(02:57):
not to celebrate. To times this incredible new album called
Blue Album, and it is Uh, it's fantastic.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
I can't wait for you to hear the stuff.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
And then on top of that, we have the MB
Studios in the house, and so what I'm gonna do
is let them introduce themselves. I know that they have
a studio that is available for multiple activities, So let's
go to Brian. I don't have an answering machine. I

(03:30):
have a questioning machine. And you're old enough to know
what an answering machine is. That's what I'm going to
use it with Nikki, I'll use something else. But when
you call them all okay, when you call my questioning machine, it.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
Says who are you? What do you want? So, Brian,
who are you and what do you want?

Speaker 5 (03:52):
I am Brian Lockerman, owner of NBUD Productions, and I
want this place to just succeed in a big way.
I want to help people achieve what they're trying to
do in the production field, whether it be music, television, film,
as simple as TikTok.

Speaker 6 (04:08):
That's why I built this facility.

Speaker 5 (04:09):
I want to help people get to their dreams, and
so far, so good. We are knocking out of the park.
Meeting Ricky was one of the blessings of our studio.
I can't be more fortunate to be working with this
guy right here. It's been phenomenal. He's not the only
one too. We've met some really, really fantastic people over

(04:29):
the time we've been open.

Speaker 7 (04:34):
Oh my turn, we can't hear Niki okay, okay.

Speaker 8 (04:39):
My name is Nikki and I am Brian's fiance and
we are own the studio together. So I do all
the social media and all the marketing for MB Studio productions,
and like Brian said, we do everything from big projects
music videos, commercials to as simple as social.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Media content and TikTok's.

Speaker 8 (04:56):
In the backs like stage, we have a robot arm
where we do camera rentals.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
It's your one stop shop out in Westlake.

Speaker 5 (05:03):
Village and it's not it's very nice.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
I'm sure it is.

Speaker 7 (05:12):
There's plenty of party, there's plenty of parking.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
It's a little far.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
But welcome to angel La, one of the yeah and
I love it that she's on my end here. Welcome,
You're going to be the captain of my CASHUW Gallery,
my version of the Peanut Gallery. So welcome to MV Studios.
First time in my studio.

Speaker 9 (05:36):
Hold on, hold on.

Speaker 4 (05:38):
We like you a firm here, so glad that you're here.
And now we're just gonna start off every show.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
You all know the drill. I know, I know you
have to be so positive.

Speaker 4 (05:54):
Yes, I do it. It requires us having breakfast together.
We take a fight of my gratitude sandwich. Top of
the butt things that we're grateful for outside of ourselves,
bottom of the bun because I like it on the bottom,
even though I've been getting any anyways. The bottom of
the butty is for inside ourselves or what we appreciate.

(06:14):
It's Friday, I can get a little you know, questions frisky. Yeah,
so what are you grateful for?

Speaker 10 (06:26):
Well, I could say I am grateful so much for
all of you, Grateful for Brian, grateful for Nikki, Grateful
for doctor Marissa, all my friends in the industry, people
who are super talented and super like, generous and loving
and wanting other people to succeed along with what they've

(06:50):
got going on. It's so beautiful and my friends, and
really grateful for that Okay.

Speaker 4 (06:56):
I am grateful that and I got to play yesterday.
He finally took me shopping.

Speaker 7 (07:04):
Because finally, Cintemonica.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
Here's the drill.

Speaker 4 (07:11):
So because I'm on an FCC regulated station, there are
words that you cannot use.

Speaker 7 (07:17):
So it's a good one, all of them, all the
good ones. You can't say all the good.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
On his own, you know. He can let it roll,
and that's okay and good on his show.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
However, it's a twenty thousand dollars fine every time for me.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
So every when he does the blooper, which he hasn't
been a while. Really wait, let me knock on wood.
But when he does slip up, he takes me shopping.

Speaker 4 (07:51):
And we've been trying to schedule the shopping trip for yeah,
and we finally got to do yesterday.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
What a working blast.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
I was gonna put the video together for today, but
I'm gonna release it on the weekend because it's just
too working funny A bus shopping.

Speaker 10 (08:08):
Yeah on like fast mood, so like running around.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
And in the store. Yeah, their way.

Speaker 7 (08:17):
It was lucky.

Speaker 10 (08:18):
She found some pretty cool stuff. I found nothing. Honestly,
it was crazy. One thing I liked he.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
Got me a beautiful sweater. I'll get it during the break,
but it's.

Speaker 7 (08:29):
You're going to wear it.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
It's working hot, Ricky, have you? So what are you
grateful for? Nikki?

Speaker 8 (08:39):
I am grateful for again, all of our friends here,
and our business that we started, our health, all the
typical things, all.

Speaker 4 (08:51):
Right, and let me slip in and Jila's I'm grateful
for living another day and starting my new job.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
No very, she's from Japan.

Speaker 10 (09:07):
Well, yeah, you see that that first thing she wrote?

Speaker 4 (09:10):
Oh I did an understand?

Speaker 2 (09:12):
Oh yeah, that's so cool.

Speaker 4 (09:15):
Yeah, and I got to compliment there that I'll show
at the bottom of the bun.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
But anyways, okay, Brian, what are you grateful for?

Speaker 5 (09:21):
I'm grateful for to tell you the truth of my family.
My family has been amazing. I had a great child
of growing up. We didn't have much, but it was
a fantastic, loving family. I'm grateful that because I feel
the family of friends you just can't buy.

Speaker 6 (09:35):
It's not something that's just out there.

Speaker 5 (09:37):
You have to, you know, achieve that by being nice,
kind and and and loving. I'm grateful for Nicky, of course,
I'm grateful for meeting this this guy right here. Uh,
just again, my My biggest thing is friends and family.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
Yeah, beautiful, Let's go to the bottom of the bun.
The bottom of the bun is.

Speaker 4 (09:57):
Weight training for something called self care self esteem. A
lot of us grow up with well meaning parents more
mean than well sometimes and they say, you're not all that.
Definitely not Ricky's mom. Definitely my mom.

Speaker 2 (10:14):
You don't toot your own horn. Part of its close
too right.

Speaker 4 (10:18):
Chinese and Japanese have a saying the nail that stands
up is hammered down.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
Not real big incentive to like be all that, And
as a result of.

Speaker 4 (10:27):
That, we go looking for love and all the wrong places.
In fact, we have our antennas.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
Looking for likes who likes me?

Speaker 4 (10:35):
Literally on social media, which is not a good way
or solid foundation.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
With you run through life.

Speaker 4 (10:42):
So what we do in this bottom four what do
you actually like about yourself? And Ricky has been the
champion of all of my co hosts who has come
so far. I could go with the cum, but I'm
not gonna. He's come so far with h really did it?

(11:03):
He hated this exercise because he was a perfectionist. And
the good news about perfectionism is it helps you really
hit every single thing that you put.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
On the bull sheet.

Speaker 4 (11:15):
Unfortunately, professional also says you're only as good as your
last hit, or you're at last album or your last song,
and instead of going, oh wow, look at what I did,
you're constantly too heart at your own worst enemy instead
of your own best friend. So, Ricky, what do you

(11:36):
like about yourself? Don't make a liar out of me here, man.

Speaker 10 (11:42):
I like that I have a big heart. I like
my big heart. I love people very much, sometimes too much,
I think, and I.

Speaker 7 (11:53):
Forgive pretty easily.

Speaker 10 (11:55):
I was just talking to my therapists about this yesterday.
She's talking about forgiveness is free.

Speaker 6 (12:01):
That's true.

Speaker 10 (12:02):
I'm so like, I love freedom so much, and I
think that's why I forgive a lot of my enemies
very quickly, because I'm like, I don't want to hold
on to that that like like a rock.

Speaker 7 (12:14):
In my heart, and it's just too much.

Speaker 10 (12:16):
I'd rather just like have a conversation like let's they
say they're sorry, I'm sorry, We're cool, and I forgive
them and we move on like the president, and we
go to the future together.

Speaker 6 (12:25):
That's brilliant what you just said.

Speaker 2 (12:28):
Thank you, Nikki. What do you like about yourself.

Speaker 8 (12:31):
Oh, I'm very creative and I do care about everybody.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
I always make sure everyone else is taken care of before.

Speaker 7 (12:39):
That is true, that's true. Awesome, She's getting the drinks
and the.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
A's and then Brian.

Speaker 5 (12:49):
I think what I like about myself is I wake
up every morning very positive and very happy. I start
my dad with a smile and just upbeat now throughout
my day. Sometimes people can bring you, try to bring
you back down to that dark world, but you've got
to stay positive and keep your day flowing as if
you just woke up.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
All right, I think the choir.

Speaker 4 (13:14):
I'm gonna go with you look beautiful, young doctor Marissa.
I will say that I'm much better at taking compliments
now then.

Speaker 2 (13:24):
I used to be.

Speaker 4 (13:25):
And even though you know I may wake up with
a fat and ugly attack, I know that I can
you know own you know, I'm not hot shataki, but
I'm certainly not a piece of shatakie, and so I'm
just pretty good shatakie and I can own that. And
yesterday when I was trying on clothes, you know, Ricky

(13:47):
was like that, he's a really good like. If I
don't think I looked at it, and he's like, ah, and.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
Then, but if I he'll be like and then, And
I love it. She's playing along, she's having breakfast with us.
I am still pure and have a giving part. So
wonderful breakfast. Thanks for joining me.

Speaker 4 (14:12):
I encourage you every weekday morning to join me for breakfast.
You don't have to stay for the rest of the show,
but why not. But it's a good life habit a
hashtag gliscipline. And I promise you that if you do
this for twenty one or twenty eight or thirty days
consecutive to build that good habit, whatever number you want,

(14:33):
you will stand with your day in the most positive way.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
Thank you for joining us for breakfast.

Speaker 7 (14:48):
That was a great breakfast.

Speaker 2 (14:51):
Good yummy yummy were my Tommy.

Speaker 4 (14:53):
And now for the topic of the day, it says
everything is awesome.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
I want it at Dave and Busters because I'm still
youll Wow. I'm just so delighted and honored.

Speaker 4 (15:13):
Once again, I think that Ricky does underplay sometimes his accomplishments,
and that's my job is to balance that out and
encourage him always to celebrate his accomplishments.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
And so that's what we're doing again.

Speaker 4 (15:30):
I had this idea after we were dancing, you know,
for the Blue album.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
So those of you who don't know, I know, the
rebels already know.

Speaker 4 (15:38):
But those of you who are listening on my end
or wherever you are, I'm just so delighted to today
acknowledge and celebrate the Blue alb.

Speaker 1 (15:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (15:57):
So, Ricky, tell us about the birth of this particular uh,
you know, product of your creative juicy.

Speaker 10 (16:07):
Well, first thing I thought about was, oh, my gosh,
I have CDs at home that I need to.

Speaker 7 (16:11):
Be giving to all of you. I don't know why
I have not.

Speaker 10 (16:14):
I haven't given you the CD. It's brilliant.

Speaker 7 (16:17):
It's downloaded on our.

Speaker 6 (16:20):
We've been driving around and listen to your music. I'm
learning all the tracks.

Speaker 7 (16:26):
Yeah, he's a drummer. Brian's a drummer, so I wanted
to play.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
Yeah, where did you drum?

Speaker 6 (16:34):
Well?

Speaker 5 (16:34):
I started my drumming career back in Pennsylvania as a kid,
and I came out to California day to seventeen to
audition for a band. Made the audition, I moved out
here to my mom and my dad would be back
in six months and thirty years.

Speaker 6 (16:45):
Later, still here.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
What was the name of the band.

Speaker 5 (16:50):
Well that the audition band wasn't my main band. When
I did get my record deal, it was a band
called Risk Risk. We small time label. We've sung with
Caliber Records, just did a little mini tour stuff like that.
Never got the big fame of Portune. But it was fun,
That's all I can say.

Speaker 4 (17:05):
Right, great, So, uh, Ricky, this album is a special album.
I know that I've been part of the process. I
remember you showing me a picture and I'm like, wow,
that's a picture and you said, oh, this is from
a long time ago.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
So tell us, tell us about the Blue album.

Speaker 10 (17:25):
Well, you know, my favorite record on that is of
course Boys and sometimes Girls.

Speaker 6 (17:32):
I love it.

Speaker 7 (17:32):
That's my favorite song.

Speaker 10 (17:34):
I love it I think I've ever done because it
was just so effortless. It came out of my body
without really thinking. I think those are the best songs
in the world. It's true because you know you're not thinking,
and I think we make our best work and we
just let it come out, let it just get in
the flow. Uh So, I really love that song. It's
it's very honest too. You know, being in the industry,

(17:55):
a lot of the people who were in control at
that time producers directors were telling me, you can't be openly,
be open about your sexuality and be successful at the
same time. So it's a real act of rebellion for
me uh to release that record and and to be
brave enough to become Ricky Rebel and and and have.

Speaker 7 (18:18):
The courage to release this music.

Speaker 10 (18:20):
And I produce everything on the record too, by the way,
like all.

Speaker 6 (18:24):
Of it, it's very well produced.

Speaker 5 (18:26):
I was telling Nikot that the other day, very well
produced music, well produced album.

Speaker 6 (18:31):
People need to learn who this guy is.

Speaker 5 (18:34):
I tell you, we've got to get We got to
get we got to get the word out because this
guy has got it going on the way he writes songs,
the way he produces I'm just I'm blown away.

Speaker 6 (18:43):
Seriously.

Speaker 10 (18:44):
Well, I feel like I feel like fame comes in waves,
and I feel like the next wave that I'm gonna
be achieving is going to be really big.

Speaker 7 (18:51):
It's going to be like a tsunami.

Speaker 10 (18:52):
Because I had the you know, the boy band wave
was really big, and then I did the the I
call it the American Rebel era, which was like a
big situation. I was like the fourth most googled Latino
in twenty nineteen, So I was pretty Yeah, it was
a big wave, and so I feel like the next
wave is going to be really big, but it's gonna

(19:13):
be having to do with arts. It's going to be
having to do with production. And so I think that's
why we're we you know, you came into my life
and vice versa, because I feel like we're gonna be
doing a lot of like filming and combining it with
music and talent and helping others, and so I feel
like that's the next wave. And the blow was. I

(19:34):
think it's the best record I've ever done. It's the
most cohesive sounding record. Honestly, I did a lot of
it on my own. I love my my collaborator, Wayne Folks,
but Wayne was not as much a part of this one.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
So forgiven.

Speaker 10 (19:54):
Well at the time, I think for some reason we
weren't we weren't working together as much much. We might
have had a little moment. I think we had a
moment with each other, and I think I was making
music kind of like on my own. Maybe he was
too busy. Uh So I think that's why it's a
very just hands on record.

Speaker 6 (20:12):
Did he produce this the songs that that we're listening
to or is it all you?

Speaker 2 (20:16):
No?

Speaker 10 (20:16):
I did on this Yeah, I did on this record.
But he normally comes in like a lot and it
comes in and co writes things with me and Coke.
He's like an art director who mixed it.

Speaker 7 (20:31):
Claudium. I tell you, Claudia is great.

Speaker 6 (20:33):
I'm telling you, I tell him. What am I saying?

Speaker 5 (20:35):
Tell you, Nikki, we're listening to your stuff in the car.
You know, we're jamming out to you, you know, cruising
the beach. I'm telling Nicky, I'm saying this is very
well produced.

Speaker 7 (20:44):
Claudio doesn't want to work with me.

Speaker 10 (20:46):
I told you about it, but like, take Claudia. But
you know, it's like you meet other types of mixers,
and you know, now I'm at the point where I
want to sing mixing because it's like I have a
very particular way I want to sound, and I feel

(21:07):
like if I like it, we're kind of we're done there,
move on, that's it?

Speaker 1 (21:13):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (21:14):
Yeah, awesome?

Speaker 4 (21:15):
And uh are you going to play some clips like
you did at the party?

Speaker 7 (21:20):
Love to Yeah? Pop it up there on the screen.

Speaker 2 (21:23):
Yeah, let's do it here. Rebels are like.

Speaker 7 (21:29):
Your favorite song.

Speaker 6 (21:32):
I'm the boss, that's my that's my groove. I know
what to doing that one.

Speaker 8 (21:37):
We have a new drummer for Ricky by the way, And.

Speaker 4 (21:43):
If you're wondering what's going on in studio today your
team to take my advice. I'm not using a kid
balance with Doctor Mariss of the Morning Show.

Speaker 2 (21:50):
And it is Friday, where.

Speaker 4 (21:52):
You know, we have straight Talk with my fab co
host Ricky Rebel and we are live in studios Love
streaming from the Beach in Long Beach, California, as well
as MVY Studio productions in I know not tim Buck
west Lake Village, where beloved Ricky is also from. It's

(22:15):
way too easy for him to get there way unfortunately.

Speaker 2 (22:21):
Fortunately, I actually am singing at a funeral.

Speaker 4 (22:26):
The Friday that we're on next and so I will
be driving up there to Timbuktu for first in studio live.
So we'll be coming at you there in person, and
then I'll be going to sing at the at the service.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
But it's okay, I will make.

Speaker 10 (22:45):
It all right. Well, I put I put the album there.
You want to put it up on screen? Yeah, So
this is Brian's favorite song. That's one of the new
songs from the tenth Anniversary edition of the Blue Albums.
This album is ten years old, ten years young. So

(23:08):
I handed like eight tracks on here that I was hiding.
And I think a lot of artists do that. We,
you know, we for some reason like, oh, I'm not
gonna I'm not going to release.

Speaker 7 (23:19):
This is not what I want. It's not Finally, I
was just like, you know what, I have such great tracks,
I want to release them. You have to. Yeah, and
this is one of them lost. It's called I'm the boss.
Oh oh oh, that's a good place.

Speaker 2 (23:37):
Actually I used that in my classes.

Speaker 4 (23:42):
When I taught at I returned to teach at U
c l A. And they had me teach a course
called Leadership, Success and Happiness because of my book The
Eight Ways of Happiness, bestseller, And that's the that's the

(24:03):
theme is you can have all the professional success, but
if your head is saying your failure for your success.

Speaker 2 (24:11):
Self sabotage, you're not the boss of you. Right.

Speaker 4 (24:14):
So I'm the boss of me, and the critic that
says I'm not good enough is not the boss of me.
So that is the I'm stalling for you here.

Speaker 7 (24:29):
I love that. Any more stories like that would be great.
Tell us more tell us more stories like that. That's great.

Speaker 4 (24:39):
Well, for real, it's part of I don't know, Brian,
if you saw this. This went national bestseller as well
as number one on Amazon, and yeah, that is me.

Speaker 2 (24:54):
Hopefully I still look like the you're doing something else.

Speaker 4 (25:00):
Ok, yeah, this is my number one Amazon and national bestseller.

Speaker 6 (25:10):
I will definitely get it.

Speaker 4 (25:13):
Yeah, well I'll bring I'll bring up a copy for
you when I got up there. Unfortunately, I can't give
them away because Donation is going to have a tech
for humanity, which is a good thing. Problem and uh
so the first chapter is about naming those voices in
your head so that you get them out of the

(25:34):
driver's seat of your life. Called So, I used to
have Penelope, the people pleaser, and then I had Rose
the critic. Right, guess what my mom's name was is Rose?
And that you know, the one that says, oh, they
think you're great, but they really don't know you or

(25:57):
you're not all that like I was saying before work.
And then I have Agnes the brat who says, what
do you mean you can't have that Chrispy Kreme?

Speaker 2 (26:07):
Don't what do you mean you have to go apologize? Right? Uh?

Speaker 4 (26:13):
That's the also the one that doesn't take responsibility.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
What do you mean you have to go to work?
What do you mean you have to pay your bills.
You don't have to shut the voice out. You just
say okay, you can't come here now. Yeah. A lot
of just.

Speaker 4 (26:31):
And therapists say all right, I got it, you got it.
I can stop talking about here we go.

Speaker 7 (26:40):
This is on the boss very well under pressure.

Speaker 2 (26:42):
That would have stressed me. How beautiful this shot is.

Speaker 6 (26:49):

does like major A list celebrities portraits, So he's like
a portrait guy. Yeah, and he's phenomenal. And Wayne, Wayne

Speaker 12 (31:16):
That's the idea for it. Dr Marissa Pay's new book
call Eight Ways to Be Happy.

Speaker 13 (31:21):
Many of us say, I am my own worst critic.
Nobody's harder on me than I am. And my response
to that is stop it.

Speaker 2 (31:32):
Why are you doing that to yourself?

Speaker 13 (31:35):
You have to be your biggest fan, because if you can't,
at the end of the day say I did a
good job, who is We don't have to constantly be
angry at the things that are wrong. Why don't we
choose to be happy about things that are right. We
have the choice. That's our muscle, and life is so
amazing if we can see it.

Take back your life with doctor Maurica Pey.

Speaker 2 (32:21):

Speaker 4 (33:14):
Studio owners is our beloved Ricky Rebel, who continues to

so because I you know, didn't register without my coffee,

(33:38):

that's why we took a break.

Speaker 2 (33:44):

We had to take a break for newsweather and traffic
on the NBC News railside.

But yeah, we have On either side of Ricky, the
owner and co owner of mb M BE.

Speaker 4 (34:01):
Studio Productions, it is Brian and Nikki with us for
the first time.

Speaker 2 (34:06):
I won't be the last time, I'm sure.

Speaker 4 (34:09):
And yeah, we're dancing and finding out the story behind
the Blue album. Yes, what's something that people don't know
about your creative process and or the Blue album or Boss.

Speaker 10 (34:33):
I think there were some really great visual art to
this album too, uh that I need to be promoting
more on my socials. We made a killer music video
to boys and it was sponsored by this makeup company
called must Have Makeup. And I met them at kind
of like an event that we went to Doctor Mersa yesterday.

(34:56):
They're called they're called gifting suites. Basically, you go and
when they invite a bunch of like influencers and celebs
to come and check out like products like hair products
and skincare. And I went to one of those events
it's like a red carpet event and must Have was
there and they were like, oh my gosh, we love you.

(35:17):
We want to like work with you anyway possible that
we can, and and I came up with the idea
of shooting a commercial for the makeup company. So it's
like it's like a commercial slash slash music video. Nice,
so we can promote the makeup in it. So I
guess what is it known? Is like I kind of
made that deal happen, and yeah, that's why we have

(35:40):
such a spectacular video.

Speaker 6 (35:42):
Very cool. Cool.

Speaker 10 (35:43):
Yeah, I think she's frozen in time.

Speaker 6 (35:46):
Oh no, doctor mer you're frozen, Doctor.

Speaker 7 (35:48):
Bris is frozen. That's okay, you know, we'll just keep talking.

Speaker 6 (35:53):
We'll just keep it here.

Speaker 7 (35:56):
Yeah, I think they can hear this. Yeah, all right,
and then.

Speaker 6 (36:00):
Okay, there we are.

Speaker 7 (36:02):
Okay, she'll come back, She'll come back.

Speaker 10 (36:04):
So we also have this other music video here. Oh
look at you there, you are?

Speaker 6 (36:09):
You are?

Speaker 7 (36:10):
Well, there's a will, there's a way, baby.

Speaker 2 (36:12):
I don't know what happened, but I'm here.

Speaker 7 (36:15):
Oh.

Speaker 10 (36:15):
You know what else is interesting about this record is
I went through a really bad I was in love
with somebody and I went through a really bad breakup
with this person. He had like bipolar. We didn't even
know what that was. Oh really yeah, yeah, have you
ever been with somebody with bipolar?

Speaker 2 (36:36):
I know about it.

Speaker 7 (36:36):
Yes, it's out.

Speaker 10 (36:38):
Of control because they go really high up and there's
super duper duper loving and everything is like fun, fun, fun,
and then it comes crashing down, like to the worst,
lowest of lows. And I didn't really understand, you know,
how to navigate through that. And so when we broke up,
I was devastated. And so a lot of these songs,

(36:58):
a lot of them are like about feeling blue, all
the different ways of that blue represents.

Speaker 6 (37:03):
Right, like, well, there you go, that's what influenced you.

Speaker 10 (37:05):
Then, right, yeah, that breakup and then like six months later,
that's when doctor Lockwood came into my life. It was
like weird and then all of a sudden, I mean
I went on our first date and I just we
just kind of knew both of us knew that we're
very you know, special. We've been together for thirteen years,

(37:26):
and I found love again, like I like true true
love again.

Speaker 2 (37:31):
That is so cool.

Speaker 4 (37:32):
I didn't know about that part of the story because
I know doctor Patrick.

Speaker 2 (37:36):
He's been on the show a couple of times. Love him.
He was a sponsor for a bit, and uh, brilliant guy.

Speaker 4 (37:43):
But see, the things always come out of things that
are not so helpful or so I don't want to
say good or.

Speaker 10 (37:50):
Bad, but yeah, we'll help me really define, help me
really define in my relationship what I don't want and
also what I do what I do want right from
the good things. A person who had was in Fox
and Uh, basically I wanted someone with integrity. That was
like my big thing. I was like, text me back,

(38:10):
like a simple.

Speaker 7 (38:13):
It's really simple.

Speaker 10 (38:14):
You know, you text someone and let's see you think
it takes back and if they can't text back.

Speaker 4 (38:23):
Not all people who don't text back or bipolar, Well in.

Speaker 10 (38:28):
My world they are because I think it's insane not
to text people back. But I'm guilty of it, honestly
because of those you forget, you know. But but in
a relationship it's kind of weird, you know, trying to
build something. But anyway, that's what that the album is about,
finding full circle love and I think that's why it's

(38:49):
such a special record, because it's just I even wrote
a song called that I want to get married.

Speaker 4 (38:55):
Yeah, it's like interesting, I don't think I've heard that
one before.

Speaker 2 (39:00):
We do have a cash gallery question from Pam Givens.
Welcome back to this show. How do we find that
the music video for that?

Speaker 10 (39:11):
Well, why don't we present it on screen? It's on YouTube.

Speaker 2 (39:16):
I don't know if can you share? Yeah, you can
share it, right, you don't need me. I'm still trying
to get back into my other studio.

Speaker 7 (39:27):
Oh yeah, what what what happened?

Speaker 2 (39:29):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (39:31):
I'm still I'm still uh, I'm clueless over here. There
it says no internet, so obviously it's uh something going
on here. Oh well, thank guys for backup.

Speaker 2 (39:47):
This is for the makeup that you were doing.

Speaker 7 (39:49):
Makeup.

Speaker 10 (39:50):
Yeah, this is the makeup video got presented on screen.
I think you got it, okay, and put it on
put it on screen. Okay, so it's called let's have
more than make up.

Speaker 2 (40:10):
It's harder on my.

Speaker 7 (40:13):
On your phone.

Speaker 4 (40:14):
Huh yeah, I don't want to stick my middle finger
in your face.

Speaker 7 (40:19):
It's all right, let's see let me.

Speaker 2 (40:25):
I do not do that every day every day. Uh yeah,
it's not recording in pros progress. I can't figure out.

Speaker 4 (40:38):
Yeah, settings, destinations and title.

Speaker 2 (40:41):
No, that's not it.

Speaker 4 (40:44):
Okay, yeah, can you do it from urine?

Speaker 2 (40:50):
You can't do it from urine? Okay?

Speaker 7 (40:54):
Oh wow, oh wow? Yeah, can you no up? Can
you share anything on your end?

Speaker 6 (41:02):
Can the link or something?

Speaker 7 (41:03):
Oh yeah, that's a good idea.

Speaker 6 (41:04):
You know, put it?

Speaker 2 (41:06):
Can you put it in the chat and then then
click the chat.

Speaker 7 (41:10):
That's a great idea.

Speaker 4 (41:11):
Yeah, I'm going to keep trying this.

Speaker 10 (41:14):
Over here, there's a link, Pam, I just shared making
it work.

Speaker 2 (41:21):
There you go exactly.

Speaker 7 (41:22):
I just share the link to the music video.

Speaker 6 (41:24):
Oh awesome.

Speaker 2 (41:26):
Yeah, and can you press it from there?

Speaker 15 (41:30):
Uh?

Speaker 7 (41:30):
No, oh you did it?

Speaker 9 (41:37):
Here we go.

Speaker 1 (41:46):
He j.

Speaker 3 (41:49):
Turn that turn that turn that up.

Speaker 16 (42:01):
You won't go as you don't try to take it,
you won't go ask the cup. I don't you take it?
You like the way amble and nowhere a do my thing?
You treat me like pritty. You want a piece of
mead you want to give with me?

Speaker 3 (42:18):

Speaker 11 (42:20):
I like the boys, boys, boys, boys, sometimes girls.

Speaker 16 (42:25):
Come come to bake, and the kind of I like
the way they work a bull leged spot.

Speaker 3 (42:33):
I know it's kind of kicking.

Speaker 16 (42:35):
I know it's there, But I'm the kind of guy
that like girls that touch my beir.

Speaker 3 (42:41):
You want with me?

Speaker 16 (42:42):
This is how I like your boys, boys, boys, boys,
and sometimes girls. I can't until they get to the top.
I know it's well and I know I'm preaking. Hey guys, Hey,
guys don't understand me. Some girls they just want to
be It's it's a pretty problem.

Speaker 3 (43:00):

Boys boys boy and sometimes girls and you want to

Speaker 10 (43:20):

Speaker 2 (43:28):

Speaker 7 (43:39):
It there because it gets a little uh, it gets
really fun.

Speaker 4 (43:42):
Wow wow wow wow, hold on, hold on, that's.

Speaker 2 (43:49):
Why that's amazing.

Speaker 4 (43:58):
Oh my god, thank you Pam for us suggesting that that.

Speaker 7 (44:02):
Was that's a that's good who video.

Speaker 4 (44:08):
Sorry sorry don Brittany Prince I you know, had all
of those infused vies in there.

Speaker 2 (44:18):
That was brilliant.

Speaker 10 (44:20):
So it was directed by Rock Jacob. Shout out to Rock.
I miss you, I love you. That's what you know.
That can happen when you get you know, a little
bit of a budget.

Speaker 7 (44:30):
Right.

Speaker 5 (44:31):
Yeah, that was well, yeah, that was that was Yeah sick.

Speaker 7 (44:39):
All my dancers are there.

Speaker 10 (44:40):
We call them the Rebel Mafia, and now I'm bringing
back that energy, the Rebel Mafia energy. You guys are
a part of my rebel Mafia.

Speaker 4 (44:47):
Now is setting an intention here for you to go
back on tour? Oh definitely, thank you you Honestly that
blew me away.

Speaker 7 (45:03):
I mean seen that before.

Speaker 4 (45:06):
I've never seen it before. I was gonna start dancing
and I'm like, no, no, no, I'm watching. It was
so like reminded me of Yeah, and Little Gaga in
there too. I mean really was very very well done.
And and you're humping. Oh my, you win the Humper Award.

(45:28):
It was so funny. He was at an event. Uh
was was it a comedy event?

Speaker 2 (45:34):
Remember that event where you were like on the couch?

Speaker 7 (45:38):
Oh yeah, the l A Fire the l A Fire
benefit concert.

Speaker 2 (45:43):
That guy's face was priceless.

Speaker 7 (45:45):
Like I did, like.

Speaker 10 (45:48):
I did a burlesque number. Really yeah, hey, big spender.
And so there's there's a guy sitting down. I gave
him a lap dance and he was.

Speaker 9 (45:58):
Just like got crazy.

Speaker 10 (46:03):
Yeah yeah. So I mean, gosh, I'm just looking at
that again. I like, I'm.

Speaker 2 (46:11):
Like that video honestly, let's do it.

Speaker 10 (46:15):
Let's Instagram, Yeah yeah, just reshare it? See it's funny
because YouTube, I'm trying to find it on search and
it won't find that video somewhere.

Speaker 6 (46:27):
That's why that is blocked our shadow. Yeah yeah, the
most stuff all the time.

Speaker 7 (46:34):
Did they do that to you?

Speaker 6 (46:35):
Oh yeah, my show? Absolutely? Yeah.

Speaker 5 (46:38):
If I talk about about you know, I'm talking about
firearm training or something like that, or we talk anything
like that politics, which we don't really do, but if
something said.

Speaker 6 (46:48):
They'll ban us. Yeah, weird, real real quick.

Speaker 9 (46:52):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (46:52):
This is one of the things, like, you know, I
didn't know.

Speaker 5 (46:55):
Ricky before he obviously came to the studio. I never
knew his stuff. This is what This is why I
go back to saying we got to get him out there.
We got to get him out into the light to
have more people know him and discover him.

Speaker 6 (47:08):
Just like our studio.

Speaker 5 (47:09):
When we first opened his place, my deal was to
get many eyes on the studios possible. And now that
we're moving forward and Nicky is just I mean rocking
it with the marketing, We're getting more eyes and more
things and more people are learning about.

Speaker 6 (47:23):
It's just like they have to learn about Ricky.

Speaker 5 (47:25):
Ricky's songs, his videos, everything, I think are one of
the most amazing things today. Music today is not cutting it.
He's got something going on that is amazing and people
need to see this more.

Speaker 2 (47:39):
Yeah, start re releasing on Instagram. Let's do it.

Speaker 6 (47:42):
Yeah, I agree, big push.

Speaker 2 (47:44):
Yes, I missed that. What did you say, Nicky? I said,
we have to start releasing re releasing his stuff. Like
you mentioned earlier, it.

Speaker 7 (47:54):
Because it's new, you've never seen it.

Speaker 2 (47:55):
I've never seen it. Everybody's ever seen Love the Other.

Speaker 4 (47:59):
I've only seen one other music video, which is the one,
the Apology one.

Speaker 2 (48:06):
Yeah, and that's good.

Speaker 4 (48:08):
But this is like, this is production, Like, yeah, you know,
I just have this vision, even though it isn't for me,
having peep all your rebels in studio in west Lake
and shooting another new video absolutely right with you know,

(48:32):
and I can be that Asian that was in that
last one. Yeah, but yeah, no, seriously, I'm like stunned.

Speaker 2 (48:45):
I'm so happy to have seen that.

Speaker 6 (48:47):
That was amazing, another level.

Speaker 2 (48:51):
Of you that I didn't know. And you know, I
love you and I believed.

Speaker 4 (48:55):
It, but that that was like and this is and
this is the thing, Like I want to just do
a plug for anyone who says, you know, I'm too
old or I you know, I hate that expression jack
of all trades, master of none.

Speaker 2 (49:13):
Which is TALKI you can do a number of things.
There's so many chapters in your life. You can try
different things. Lord knows you know too.

Speaker 4 (49:23):
Blood clots ground me from world tour and now I'm like, okay,
what now, brown Cow. But you know I've got comedy
that's going on. I did really well last week, you know,
in a stand up and then music is coming back
in my life.

Speaker 2 (49:41):
Singer, songwriter.

Speaker 4 (49:42):
So it's all like life is, Life does not suck
number one two. It's all open like it's go up,
hashtag up, unlimited possibilities. That's our theme today. I mean
I launching the Blue album or relaunching it.

Speaker 2 (50:03):
And it's not old it is. Everything's always new.

Speaker 6 (50:07):
Right, that's it, that's right, that's right.

Speaker 5 (50:09):
When Nicki first told me about Ricky, well, when you know,
somebody introduces him, Nikki told me this Ricky Rebels.

Speaker 6 (50:15):
Coming in to the studio is a songwriter. It's like,
oh yeah, big deal. Whatever. And then and then and
then I started hearing his tracks.

Speaker 5 (50:22):
I'm like, okay, I'm very particular about music, very particular.
When I heard this stuff, I was blown away. I'm like, yes,
get this guy in here, come on, you know it's great.

Speaker 2 (50:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (50:34):
So so Angela says there's a video of Magic Carpets.

Speaker 2 (50:40):
I haven't seen that.

Speaker 10 (50:41):
Yeah, okay, that's on a different album, that's on the
New Alpha and probably in a couple of years when
it's ten years old, we're gonna do it again. We're
gonna have a new Alpha tenth anniversary.

Speaker 7 (50:53):
You know you can.

Speaker 2 (50:55):
Do an eight doctor Marissa, Lucky number.

Speaker 7 (50:57):
Eight, number eight.

Speaker 2 (50:58):
Yeah. Yeah, it's a homophone for good fortune.

Speaker 10 (51:01):
So you know, it's it's like a you know, watching
that videos, it's a little bittersweet for me. I must
admit a little side because you know, a lot of
those friendships, you know that with the whole thing that happened,
we know what happened. We know the era that we
all live through. Uh, cancel culture era, I'll call it.
You know, I lost some of those friends, but not
all of them, not all of them, right, A lot

(51:24):
of them are just I didn't lose them.

Speaker 7 (51:26):
They're all there.

Speaker 10 (51:28):
It's just I want them back and I'm going to
get them all back. We're gonna all go on tour
again and we're gonna all I'm going to bring them
all back. And it's like, in other words, it's safe
to be with me. It's all good.

Speaker 7 (51:40):
You know that era is gone. God, Now it was
just a chapter. It was a chapter. And now.

Speaker 10 (51:50):
What I love to do no regrets, And maybe the
man I am today.

Speaker 7 (51:55):
Period.

Speaker 2 (51:56):

You are today if you had not gone through that chapter.
Everybody goes through a chapter or you are.

Speaker 2 (52:04):
To make ourselves who we are. And there's no bad chapter.
It's just a chapter. And you never lose people.

Speaker 4 (52:13):
The funeral I was talking about it is a beautiful
client turned friend, Teresa, and she's not gone.

Speaker 2 (52:19):
I haven't lost her.

Speaker 4 (52:21):
She is on the other side loving us in a
way that couldn't even love us with that strength here
and nothing will take away all of the beautiful things
that we did together and she did with her family.

Speaker 2 (52:35):
And you know this whole concept of when people.

Speaker 4 (52:39):
Die like they're gone or we lost someone, that's like
bulshe talkie too.

Speaker 2 (52:44):
It is. It's a forever thing.

Speaker 4 (52:46):
The energy will always be here and you'll always have
that chapter to look back and enjoy and reread.

about the elephant in the room, I say, put the
moose on the table, so that's why. And then when
something particularly good is said in the studio, we drop
the moose. Right in this latest one, I actually got
in a parachute.
