Speaker 1 (00:08):
Ho ho, Hello world, and welcome back toubrid Iron Gamble,
the only podcast that puts its money where its mouth is.
I'm your host, Rachran and I'm joined by the entire
collective of Disciple, Bret Olsen, Donnie DP Peters and the
resident moves themselves. Mo Nora. No video this week because
(00:28):
Goodell has no respect for Christmas, no Christmas spirit, Multiple
games on a Wednesday, games on a Thursday, not allowing
anybody to enjoy any time with family. So we have
an abridged podcast where we will give you our Circus
Sports million card, maybe a little banter, and that's about it.
(00:51):
If you are listening to this on your podcaster of choice,
please rate and review five stars only. Like a man
who was on the Netflix broadcast, he was he was
the og catfish Manti Tao. What if that story, if
hadstry happen, if a Heisman candidate on an undefeated Notre Dame,
(01:14):
if that happened in twenty twenty four, Oh boy, different
different times.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
If it wasn't that long ago.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
I think it was pre current social media age though,
like there would be people advocating for Manti Teo having
a fake girlfriend, like that's where the discourse would go
if that thing would happen in twenty twenty four.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
He can date whoever he wants exactly.
Speaker 4 (01:41):
She has feelings too, she identifies as real.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
I mean it would be it would be outrageous and ione,
I'm glad that we skipped that part during the Manti
Tao saga. Very weird week because the collective is not
sure on anything. There's only one consensus pick, and it
is the collective pick. I will say there's no real
(02:09):
strength in lone wolves either. Nobody has more than two.
None of them made the top five mo The lone
Wolf Goat doesn't have a single lone wolf this week,
So I think it's a very appropriate week for us
to just hop into our picks and then we could
do the old classic MO at the end, Where were
you guys at on dot dot dot? But we'll start
(02:29):
with the card. We're going alphabetical order because everybody has
a different pick, so there's no tie breakers necessary, and
we will start with Brett who is taking the four
points with Michael Pennix Junior and Vi Atlanta Falcons as
they travel to Washington to take on the Commanders. I
don't think I got a good hold of what a
(02:50):
Michael Pennis Junior is last week because the Giants played
a giant dump at the center of the pitch in
the Dome, Atlanta. I was very excited to have them
on our card at eight and a half. I was
very excited when they marched down and made it seven
nils to start the contest, and then the wheel fell
off promptly after that. Multiple defensive touchdowns. Michael Penix did
(03:15):
throw one red zone interception because Kyle Pitts just evidently
is incapable of catching oblong objects. I guess our guy
Art Smith was right all along. John new was goat
Kyle Pitts is trash. But Brett is going against seventy
percent of the public taking the points here with Atlanta.
Speaker 4 (03:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (03:36):
I thought Penix looked great last week for what he
needed to be like. He didn't put up gaudy numbers,
but he didn't need to. He was he was poised.
He didn't make any real mistakes other than that red
zone interception, But was that, I mean his fault. He
made his throws. What would this number in this game
be if Jalen Hurts didn't leave last week's game against
(03:56):
the against the Commanders, like the Eagles, probably crue with Hurts,
because that's what the Eagles do in a positive game environment.
Speaker 2 (04:03):
They strangle the life out of teams.
Speaker 5 (04:04):
But Hurts out Pickett comes in, the Eagles lose their
their composure, they let Washington back in the game, and
this moves from three and a half on the look
ahead to as high as five early in the week,
then gets bet back to four, which is where this
is currently. If the Eagles stopped Washington last week, which
(04:25):
was happening, this is probably like three, right, So I'm
selling the Commanders here off that bizarre win last week,
this just feels like it should be three. And as
crazy as it sounds for me to say this, given
all the crap I've talked about Michael Pennix during his
college years, the Falcons probably are better with Penis under
center than Cousins because at the very least, you're getting
(04:47):
a quarterback who is aware of his abilities and his
limitations like Cousins.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
Cousins was so brutal.
Speaker 5 (04:55):
He was letting his instincts take over in the pocket,
especially under pressure, and he doesn't have the arms to
make the throws anymore. And it was costing Atlanta in
a huge way. Atlanta is a better team today than
they were two weeks ago, and so I think this
should probably just be three. I think they're maybe slightly
worse team than Washington right now.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
Big step up in class here for Pennix. Obviously, first
road game, a team that generates a good amount of
pressure ninth and pressure eight and fourth in blitzery. Dan
Quinn likes to draw up some exotics. But to your point, Brett,
what does that look like with a statue named Kirk
Cousins in the pocket as opposed to somebody who's mobile
and can slide in the pocket. I for one can't
(05:34):
believe we've gone this far discussing the Washington formerly racial slurs,
formerly football team now comis without mentioning the guy who
probably made somebody a million last week. And that's the
goat O me, it's the ka take a victory lap.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
There's no victory lap. We've talked about this guy for
a while.
Speaker 5 (05:53):
He just kind of like shows up when when players
go down, and he is both amazing and terrible.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
And we saw that last week too.
Speaker 5 (06:02):
He was dropping passes early in the game they had
they had no choice, but to keep him on the
field because they had nobody else and he just went
out there and scored a couple of touchdowns.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
So yeah, my guy's doing it.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
I will move to DP, who has the most interesting
game of the week for a lot of reasons. The
NFC North is extremely tightly contested, and this is the
night game between the Green Bay Packers and the Minnesota Vikings,
and DP is taking the Minnesota Vikings minus one. This
(06:34):
is a split contest amongst the collective. DP. I'm interested
to hear why you're so confident on the Vikings on
the spot.
Speaker 3 (06:42):
Well, one, this line feels disrespectful. I think it should
be what two to two and a half. I mean
I don't maybe three, I think a full three is
fine here. The Vikings to me seem like they are overlooked.
I think is the word. People just want to go
against them. Couple that with the fact that you know,
(07:05):
green Bay I think is getting a bit of love.
I mean this is indoors I know, so you know,
you don't have any weather to deal with, but I
think it's still a tough place to play, maybe an
underrated tough place to play. That place gets loud, they
get after it. Minnesota still very much has something to
play for. You know, they are trying to get that
number one seed still. I mean, what happens when this
(07:26):
Minnesota defense gets after Jordan Love. We've seen him be
turnover prone at times. Rich is the one holding a
ticket for most interceptions in the league. Now, if that
Brian Flores defense is able to get after him put
him under some pressure, what happens there? And then you know,
if you look at Green Bay's schedule recently, I mean
I don't think they've really beat the greatest quarterbacks in
(07:49):
the world. They've had a pretty good run of it overall.
So yeah, and then I guess, I mean, if we're
doing the leverage thing, shout out ODB, Like just compared
to where this is live, isn't it? Packers minus one
now is what I saw last night at least, So
you know, what's going to happen there?
Speaker 4 (08:07):
Where?
Speaker 2 (08:07):
Does it close?
Speaker 3 (08:08):
You know? I don't know. I generally just feel like
this Vikings team is overlooked, and every single week they
go out, they do it. Sam Darnold does it. Obviously,
Kosi is a very good coach, So yeah, I think
they're a bit underrated overall. Even though they are what
thirteen and two, I still think they're a little underrated.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
The Packers have definitely been lining up to man cans
and knocking them down. That Saints game last week the
exclamation point on a winning not streak because they did
loose the Lions. But you're talking about beating the regressing Seahawks,
beating Tua in the cold, beating the fledgling Niners, beating
(08:44):
this Bears team.
Speaker 3 (08:46):
Who was playing quarterback for the Niners.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
That's right, that was our guy, Brandon Allen, Brandon Allen
leverage season. Well, I still think that was a good pick.
I still think if you know that you're going to
do that, if you know you're getting run the simulations,
well you'll see that. It's a good big hashtag now, Yeah,
(09:08):
I struggled with this one. I picked the Packers. Nobody
had a strong opinion other than Donnie in this game.
I picked the Packers because I think it's slight. It's
better quarterback for sure, and I think it's slightly better
coach maybe. And I, while you're right, Love has the
(09:31):
blow ups in him. This Packers offensive line is playing incredible,
and the way Lafleura has been scheming it indoors. I
don't think pressure will be much of an issue. I
think the biggest Look, how is this totally forty nine?
These guys scored sixty points outside the last time they played.
Now you're getting them inside on the fast track, Like,
(09:52):
who is actually going to get stops in this game?
If both OC's are cooking it up? So I think
this is just a fireworks best and I'm very happy
to watch it. But if I were to predict an
Alcolm I have, I don't know any side in this.
I just know that there's going to be points. So
for our sake, let's go save your sam Mo. You
(10:15):
are up next. You've got a split game that before
we hopped on, Brett was said he was very interested
to hear what our opinions were on Cowboys Eagles, and
you have a very strong opinion on one of the
sides in this contest.
Speaker 4 (10:31):
Yeah, I mean the market's going the right way on
this one, right. I mean I think, why are the
Eagles laying nine and a half with a backup quarterback?
Speaker 1 (10:44):
I mean someone explained this to No No video this week,
so the people can't see that. Brett immediately understood where
Moe was going flew back is there and took his
head once off.
Speaker 4 (10:55):
This line is just really dumb. I think, how can
the Eagles be nine and a half. They're laying seven
I think in real life, So I don't know what
they were doing with this number. I still think that's
too high. Like I still think I'm gonna be on
the Cowboys. Anything over seven seven or higher I think
is too much in this game. I mean, I know,
(11:17):
who are you.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
Capping at quarterback for the Eagles?
Speaker 4 (11:19):
Is the first part of the equation, Well it has
to be can he pick it? And he's not even
one hundred percent right? So like, how is this line
nine and a half? This isn't even a real line.
How are they even minus seven and a half. I'm
so confused here to I know that the Cowboys were
like non functional last time with Cooper rush against this defense,
(11:39):
but that was his first start, coming in cold start
or I don't even remember if he started that game,
but yeah, I think he did start. But now he's
kind of settled in moving the ball. I know CD
lambs out obviously that's stinks, But I think there's enough
talent still on this team and they've been getting the
(12:00):
running game going with doubtell a bit and the total
is thirty nine. I think it's thirty nine for a
good reason. Like Brett said, can he Pickett look pretty poor?
I mean, I just don't really see why the Eagles
would run away from Dallas here and you just have
a divisional underdog here. Like Donnie said before, NFC East underdog,
(12:27):
I'm so confused why this line is nine and a half.
But yeah, I mean I think it's going to be
popular probably. I was multiple points off on this one,
so I just don't I don't get this line. That
being said, I have several that I really like this week.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
Can't they just turn in hands to the MVP?
Speaker 2 (12:46):
Yep?
Speaker 4 (12:46):
But it is that a good way to cover nine
and a half?
Speaker 2 (12:50):
That probably better?
Speaker 5 (12:51):
I mean, the guy breaks off a fifty yard run
at least twice the game, So why why not? I mean,
that's their splash play. It's just handing up the siquak
give the case.
Speaker 1 (13:00):
Why why does this not sit ready with you?
Speaker 5 (13:03):
Well, because this will be obviously the most lopsided game
in the contest, because this is still gonna be sitting
probably it's seven on Saturday. That's the cap, Like I
understand the line value we're losing by taking.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
The Eagles if we take the Eagles here, But.
Speaker 5 (13:16):
When a thousand more people take Dallas and Philly, the
expected value shifts toward Philly again because the Eagles still
haven't implied cover percentage of like what forty two to
forty five percent even at the nine and a half.
So I guess we're just we're we're pat stadding again.
Speaker 2 (13:35):
Is that? Is that? What's what's going on here? Everybody's
everybody's saying the same thing.
Speaker 5 (13:40):
Everyone's gonna see that two and a half point line
difference and just take Dallas because that's the obvious side.
Speaker 1 (13:45):
I think my favorite part of editing the show last
week was hearing Donnie actually print the pad patting season
sheet of paper so then he can hang it out
because we couldn't hear it while we were in the
sail while editing. All I here is.
Speaker 2 (14:00):
I didn't realize that I think.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
That satting season for Mo. Well, Mo, if you you
said you had several this week, obviously the collective snipes.
I shouldn't say obviously to you because you don't know
what the collective snipe your third pick. So real quick,
then talk about your second pick if you really like
this dog traveling to Los Angeles.
Speaker 4 (14:23):
Yeah, this is to me the most classic of NFL
late season vetting uh strategy, Like you just have a
divisional underdog that season is over, so people are just like, Okay,
of course that team is buried. But there is no
way to me that the Cardinals should be plus six
(14:45):
and a half. I am stunned by this line. This
line to me should barely be like over three. I mean,
I know that we're not talking about the most key
numbers in the world here, but I mean, and I
know the Cardinals when they spanked the Rams before, it
was kind of an extreme situation, a bunch of injuries
for the Rams. But these two teams have been like
(15:09):
pretty closely matched all year. I think, how is this
line six and a half? I mean, Matt Stafford is
kind of playing like an asshole right now. When was
this last good game against the Bills. I guess that's
like the only one like the last month. I know
Kyler's not playing the best either, but I mean Arizona's
(15:32):
mostly losing because of their defense. And yeah, I mean
I'm sure they're going to allow a bunch of points here,
but can't they score enough to keep up against a
pretty weak LA defense. And both teams are going to
be running the ball a ton in this game too,
so that I think is going to keep the clock turning.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (15:51):
I don't see a lot of separation between these teams. Man.
I think everyone is down on the Cardinals because they
keep losing and their season is over now, but they're
still going to come out and play hard against the
visional opponent, So you know, I just they get to
play inside, which is their comfort zone. I think I
(16:13):
don't understand why this wouldn't be a close game.
Speaker 1 (16:15):
Yeah, two consecutive games for the Rams where they only
score one touchdown last week, I guess I understand it.
The last two weeks they had a very strong advantage
up front to run the ball. But like you said,
if anything, that favors taking the points in the spot
because you're going to shorten the game and reduce possessions
(16:37):
by plunging forward, and they've just been happy to turn
in hand to Kyraen over the last couple of weeks.
That is an interesting spot you bring up with regards
to division late season. I mean, if this is the
key word, right, like, do the Cardinals care? Are the
coaches getting them prepared and going out to play professional
(16:59):
football on Sunday? If they are, then we shouldn't be
treating this any different than a balmby September spot where
we're loving division dogs that go out and perform in
these competitive spots. So we'll leave it up to you
as to whether or not. I don't think so that
is a Saturday game, So MO, you can stew on
(17:19):
whether or not Cowboys or Cardinals is the click. I'm
going to go ahead and well, first of all, I'll
talk about my second pick real quick because I want
to get an answer from Brett. Brett. Do the Bills
care about Josh Allen winning the MVP? Because Lamar Jackson
has probably taken the lead after his performance on Christmas
(17:42):
with the entire country watching. Do the Bills care about
Number seventeen winning MVP?
Speaker 2 (17:48):
I think they care.
Speaker 5 (17:49):
I don't think they're going to force it though, I
don't think I don't, So just look at this game.
I don't think McDermott and Brady will call a game
that puts Josh Allen in a position to further aggriv
at his injuries. And I don't think they're going to
let him. They're not going to call any like design runs.
He can go rogue and he'll take off running and
oftentimes that results in huge plays. That's how the Bills
(18:11):
cover these big numbers. But I don't think this matters
enough to where you put your quarterback at risk two
weeks before the playoffs start at you know, more injuries
or the injuries that he currently has getting any worse.
So I don't think they care.
Speaker 2 (18:25):
Enough to.
Speaker 4 (18:27):
When they're all locked into their.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
Seat, yeah, like it doesn't matter.
Speaker 1 (18:31):
Yeah. On top of that, there's not much they can
do to change their seating. So this is another fake line,
right like has eleven The last I saw was eight
and a half. That was another reason why I tick
this down because I don't understand what world exists where
the Jets are getting eleven points in the spot, say
similar spot to MOE division game. I think Jets Buffalo
(18:54):
is the biggest rivalry in the division right now, two
teams that really hate each other. There's been a lot
of equipping back and forth the last couple of seasons,
and Rogers is gung ho on setting his individual records,
getting the five hundred touchdowns, setting Jets franchise records. Basically,
(19:17):
he wants to thumb the franchise on the way out
by just doing all these things and targeting Davonte twenty
times a game and saying, look what I did. I'm incredible.
You guys are idiots, And I just don't see the
Jets really going out like a bunch of bums in
the spot and getting pasted. So I think this line
(19:38):
is crazy, but I don't know seventy percent of the
tickets around the bills. But of course that is on
the real number of eight and a half, and people
are going to see this insane line value in the contest.
So for now I'm pivoting and going back to the
well with the g men plus eight at home because
they put a minus eight next to Anthony Richardson on
(20:00):
the road in Pro football.
Speaker 4 (20:03):
And isn't Anthony Richardson?
Speaker 2 (20:06):
Is this a thing?
Speaker 4 (20:08):
I mean, yeah, I think he dnp'd in the last
two days.
Speaker 1 (20:12):
DNP questionable with a back. Well if it's not, well,
they both think, let's just put that out there because
Flaco put out some of the most disgusting tape you'll
ever see, and now it's Flaco and freezing temperature. As
a giant, that guy is just he wants to see
(20:33):
the clock, hit Zeros as soon as possible, collect the check,
get back on the bus, and go back to his family.
So I mean, obviously, having Anthony Richardson in there introduces
the top side of variants for the Colts, because the
Colts can go out and do what they did last week, right,
they can look like absolute firecracker wagons when Anthony Richardson
(20:56):
isn't making mistakes and is hitting on all these big plays.
So I actually think that Flacco is probably better for
this because it just does it removes the explosives that
Anthony Richardson adds to the equation. But even if it's
a rich in there, this is just too rich for
a Colts team that has been wildly inconsistent agnostic of
(21:19):
quarterback this season. And I don't know, I think Dabel
is still coaching for his job a little bit. People
seem very confident that he's just going to get a
chance to draft a quarterback that seems to be what
the buzz is. But it's one of those where the
Mayras could be going in that direction. Okay, we'll give
(21:42):
dabel a shot. But all it takes is like one embarrassment, right, Like,
all it takes is the Colts winning this game like
forty one to seven, and then John Mahra is like
sitting on his couch and he's like, well, fuck this,
Like this guy's got to go and we got to
get a new quarterback. So I think Daboll's still out
there coaching for his job. He's not punted on the season,
(22:02):
and I just absolutely refuse to lay eight points on
the road with the Colts. Well, you gave me a look.
You also have the Giants. You don't have them in
your top five, but you gave a look. When I
started the stake.
Speaker 4 (22:16):
Yeah, they were like the top of my hunt section.
I'm concerned about these injuries, very concerned. Starting center Malik Neighbors,
multiple starting defenders, he Tracy. All these guys are just
like the npede And why would they why would they
(22:38):
honestly come back for this game. I mean I think
this could just basically be an entire second stringer of Giants.
I mean similar to the Jets. To be honest, multiple
key players out for the Jets. That's kind of why
I clicked the Bills in that one. That's more of
a feel play than anything, though. I do think the
(22:58):
line's too high, but the Bills are gonna pound the
rock and it's probably gonna work. And then in this game,
I just this game. The reason I can't lay the
points is because the Colts are gonna They're gonna run
the ball and they're gonna throw deep. And this game
is gonna have bad weather, and I don't know if
(23:20):
you're gonna be able to throw deep in bad weather.
So I don't know if they are able to have
the down to down success rate. I don't know if
people like have looked at the weather reports this week.
Basically every outdoor game is going to be like a crash.
So I just can't really get behind a team that
is relying on throwing deep. That being said, the Giants
(23:42):
are probably the worst team in the NFL. I don't know.
There's a lot of really strong contenders this year. I mean,
they put a minus next to the Raiders on the
road today. That's how bad some of these teams are.
Speaker 1 (23:57):
I wanted to love the Raiders.
Speaker 4 (24:00):
But how can you because it's still the worst coach
in the NFL. WA points on the road.
Speaker 1 (24:05):
Is it when Rizzley's on the other sideline, like's just
the only time in NFL history that it will have
a coaching event.
Speaker 4 (24:13):
So I wanted nothing to do with any of these
games where there was multiple injuries, dead teams facing each other,
bad weather, just so much stuff. But I don't know
what's going to happen, super unpredictable games this week. There's
a handful of games that I love, and I wanted
nothing to do with any of the others.
Speaker 1 (24:32):
Let's get to a game that everybody loves. We finally
capitulated ODB because we have the other five star, the
greatest five star once again, Bonis on the card plus
three against the Cincinnati Bengals. Nobody had more confidence points
on this than DP. So Donnie lead us.
Speaker 3 (24:52):
Off should start with the Cincinnati defense that I think
is still a joke.
Speaker 1 (24:57):
That's the cap I think we can say since many
defense the entire.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
Time, I mean, they're just not good and they don't
get after the quarterback, which obviously I think helps bon
Nicks here. You know, even if you don't think too
highly of of bon Nicks, you know, I think he'll
have a pretty clean pocket and be able to kind
of do what he wants. You got Sean Payton extra
(25:23):
rest against sach Taylor, who I think is kind of
a joke as a head coach. Still, I think Denver's
defense can certainly get after Joe Burrow. The Cincinnati offensive
line has not been that great, you know. I mean
I mentioned how the Packers earlier haven't really been playing
you know, too many really good teams, good quarterbacks.
Speaker 4 (25:45):
Lately.
Speaker 3 (25:46):
I don't think the Bengals have been playing that good
of teams. And every time the Bengals win, I don't know,
what's kind of just like blow for blow, you know,
whoever scores the most points and ends up winning. You know,
I mean, obviously, yes, that's the game, but you know,
it's just kind of high high, higher scoring games and
they get into these kind of weirdest shootouts, but that's
because they have no defense. And I just think that,
(26:09):
you know, the Broncos can put up points in this
sort of spot, yes, and then their defense is good
enough to shut down you know what is kind of
ultimately Joe Burrow and Jamar Chase really at the end
of the day. So yeah, I really like this one.
I also think that there's some really potent love on
the Bengals overall. You know, people just really kind of
(26:31):
out there stumping for them, They want them in the playoffs,
all this sort of stuff. Well, I think we just
have to fade them at this point.
Speaker 1 (26:38):
Brett Pylon also your number one selection.
Speaker 5 (26:42):
Yeah, I mean this number is pretty funny considering the
Bengals haven't won a game against the team with a
winning record this season. They're on to seven straight up. Like, yes,
we've called the Broncos frauds all season and they are
likely to get buried once the playoffs begin, But this
is actually a pretty good spot for Denver. Like they
should be able to dominate both sides of the trenches.
Boonex and this done a running games should find success
(27:03):
against this miserable Bengals defense. Denver's had, like Donnie said,
they've had a long week, extra time to rest and prepare.
They're coming off that loss in primetime. Bengals cruised last
week against Cleveland. I think you will see that reflected
in the pick percentages in circa this week too, with
sitting at three, which makes this a good play in circa.
Speaker 2 (27:26):
That's pretty much it for me.
Speaker 1 (27:28):
Yeah, I don't think Sean Payton's offense is very good.
It's pretty easy to defend when you've got the Willies
and Joe's it's a ton of rollout crosser offense. But
the Bengals have shown that they can't defend anybody doing anything,
so I don't think it matters what buttons Peyton pushes. Basically,
(27:48):
if you can operate a functional offense in twenty twenty
four at the professional level, you were going to score
and score consistently on Cincinnati. So I think the Bengals
will be able to do that. And then it's up
to the Broncos defense to just play decent ben but
don't break be competitive in this game, and then plus
(28:10):
three is going to be pretty much in the bag.
And the other thing I don't think it's been discussed
is it might be a leverage spot because I'm seeing
either expensive threes or some three and a half's in
real life, So there will perhaps be people in this
contest that are weary about just taking the flat three
when the hook is available. I r l MO, we
(28:32):
said a lot, but put a pin on the Denver Broncos.
Speaker 4 (28:36):
Yeah, I don't know how to get to three, and
I definitely don't know how to get pass three with
these two teams. I mean, I do rate the Bengals
a hair higher because passing offense, passing offense, passing offense,
But I don't know how you can get to three
between these two teams. I mean, the Bengals have been
(28:57):
beating and you want to talk about Tomato. I think
everyone saw the stat on Twitter this week Brett Brett
was saying, and he didn't quite get there, but yeah,
they haven't beaten a starting quarterback all year or something? Right,
This is crazy? You know, I don't get this line. Man.
I hate to go back to the well after Bonix
(29:20):
kicked me in the nuts last week, but I gotta
at the Broncos again.
Speaker 1 (29:25):
Here, So the card right now, Broncos, Giants, Falcons, Vikings,
and then Mo can choose either the Cowboys or Cardinals.
Are there any games on this thirteen game slate removing
Christmas and last night's affair that are of interest that
you guys want to discuss? All right?
Speaker 4 (29:46):
One? I want to run by you guys. What about
Dolphins and Browns? Brett? I mean, Rich just got done
telling us dtr was miles below the threshold. He goes
miles below the threshold, and now the Dolphins are only
laying six and a half. I'm so confused by this
one too. I have this one to me should be
north of seven, so I will be betting.
Speaker 1 (30:05):
There's another competing narrativeshel also to in Cleveland, Ohio in December.
Speaker 4 (30:13):
In the It's not going to be that bad though.
I mean it won't be that cold. It's going to
be rainy and maybe I think a little bit of wind.
But the thing I keep coming back to is this
Dolphins team, more so than others, I don't think they're
going to be as affected by it. I mean, all
they do is dump off to running backs and tight ends.
(30:34):
Why would that matter? And then you have the Cleveland
defense that basically only thrives on getting pressure, and I
don't think that's really going to be much of a
thing when the Dolphins are just going to run the
ball and rely on their quick passing game here. So
I really like this matchup for Miami and I will
be betting them for sure. And I think this line
(30:56):
should be over seven unless Jamis is in the game.
Speaker 1 (31:00):
Brett, we got to get your opinion here because I
was beacon in chat, like most said, I told you, guys,
DTR miles below the threshold. You said it was the
right side, and you went full goofy me, he said,
and I'll do it again. You did do it again.
You did very very low.
Speaker 5 (31:16):
I mean, it's not like I'm not betting on the Brows.
I'm talking more of just like the leverage we got
last week with the Browns was nice.
Speaker 2 (31:25):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (31:26):
That game was way more lopside than the score even showed.
I looked into it deeper after the game and I
was like, oh God, like maybe maybe even if there's
like minus minus two thousand leverage in the contest, is
it even worth it to click Browns there?
Speaker 2 (31:41):
Maybe not. I don't know.
Speaker 5 (31:43):
I didn't know what to do with this game. I
don't know what the hell TOO was going to look
like in the rain this week.
Speaker 2 (31:47):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (31:48):
Like dtrs is miserable, I have no I have no
opinion on this game.
Speaker 1 (31:53):
I mean, if there was ever a spot for someone
like DTR to have success, it would be against this
Bengals defense that we just shredded, that's been shredded by everybody.
And DTR goes out with a YPA of four point
six and a QBR of eighteen point three. I wasn't
(32:15):
kidding when I said this is Zach Wilson levels of
play at the quarterback position. This guy stinks, so yeah,
maybe maybe Mo you're on your.
Speaker 3 (32:24):
If he doesn't play, her gets hurt again.
Speaker 1 (32:27):
Who's the backup?
Speaker 3 (32:29):
Who could be so bad you wanted as the backup?
Speaker 4 (32:32):
It's Bailey Zapy, Bailey Zappi. There is.
Speaker 1 (32:37):
Nothing like I bet you every Italian Christmas has some nice,
warm zeppolis at the table. So maybe in appropriate way
to end the NFL weekend. All right, boys, appreciate you
