Speaker 1 (00:04):
Peace fam. Just bringther hot Tim, and welcome back to
no frills, No thrills, just brother how Tim? You know
how we do it, straight talk, deep thoughts and a
lot of flavor for your mind. So just to let
you know, I am moving off of scripts in this
(00:25):
new era until you know, we get enough people that
really enjoy what we're doing and wants to want to
join in on a live conversation. And a live conversation today,
I want to share a message that's been sitting heavy
on my spear though. It's a reminder I call a
lesson and it starts with one simple but powerful idea.
(00:47):
If everyone does a little, no one has to do
a lot. Lady, I've been feeling that tug again, that
pull to get back into my daily writing rhythm. Yeah,
I'm always doing too much, I know, and those of
you that's been on my email list you know as well.
I had to take a break. I had to chill.
(01:07):
You understand I'm saying. But there's something sacred about setting
aside time to reflect and share, regardless of how you
do it. So here's my plan. I'm aligning my writing
and now these podcasts reflections within Guzusaba of course, each day.
On principle today Kouji Chaka Lida self determination, all the
shows moving forward will be dropping on Kouji Chaka lids.
(01:31):
So expect a new drop at least once a week,
claiming our narrative, owning our labor, building our story on
our terms. So before we dive deep, let me give
you a little update. The Jeami tribe is in Ghana
(01:51):
right now while you're listening to this course. I record
this earlier, but right now we are in gone Enough family,
and of course you can expect to get some shows
from here. I might be doing a live stream or
a live a live, a live broadcast, and you know,
(02:13):
and you could come in and join us if you
feel the desire to do so, you know what I'm saying.
I would really really hope that you would and would
come and join us. Anyway, we and Ghana at this
point in time, we just left Nairobi, Kenya, and we
was in Nairobi for about sixteen hours on the twenty
(02:35):
fifth until the twenty sixth, and then on the twenty
sixth we flew into Ghana. And right now you hearing
this on the twenty seventh, right now, I am in
a cry, getting together with some old friends and having
a good time. Right. So first we hit New York,
explored it a little bit little. The girls wanted to
(02:58):
go to Times Square, so we're gonna make We're gonna
figure out how to make that happen. We flew into
Nairobi and finished because I put the dedication in because
this that this visa process, man, it was something else,
especially for Ghana. That's that's a whole nother discussion. But
(03:20):
we put in for a transit visa in Nairoba, Nairobi, Kenya,
and man, we were there and we was you know,
I don't know at this point in time, I'm pre recorded,
but I am projecting myself in the future. I know
we had a good time, and we had a good
time for you, and you're gonna get footage and you're
gonna get discussions from that adventure. We'll hit New York first,
(03:50):
explore a little, then catch a long flight to Nairobi, Kenya,
long layover. Of course, we're gonna handle it. We all
we discussed that will step out, soak it in. Then
it's off the Ghana And That's where I'm at right now.
While y'all listening to this, and I'm probably listening to
y'all to with y'all laughing, Like damn. I was all
the way back in April when I dropped up, and yes,
(04:13):
miss Sasha was the first one of us to get
a passport, so I want to I want to kind
of celebrate her and lift her up. You know, she's
now official International Woman of Mystery and Leisure, so we
salute her. I'll be sharing pics, videos, and updates so
you can follow the journey and maybe even roll with
(04:35):
us next time because this I don't want this to
be the last trip. Speaking of next time, it's just
jumping off script. This is the far As Jammi Journey
because there's other shows. Y'all know that, because like I said,
I do a lot, right, So this is my two
thousand and nine hundred and fiftieth episode on Jami Journey.
(05:00):
I just wanted to throw that out there. But back
to what we're discussing. This episode ain't about passports playing tickets,
although it sounds like it. It's about something bigger. It's
about collective responsibility. There's an African proverb that says if
everyone does a little, no one has to do a lot.
(05:21):
And that wisdom is different right now in the system
we live in, the soul called capitalism. Too often the
folks with the least end up carrying the heaviest loads.
The wealthy, Oh, they figured out how to make their
money work over time while they sleep. Their coins got
(05:44):
a four one k right, Their dollars got side hustles right.
Meanwhile the rest of us are grinding daily just to
break even. Here's the kicker. Rich folks might make a lot,
but they still got they still gotta They still gotta
clock in. Wealthy folks, on the on the other hand,
(06:05):
they set the game up so they don't ever have
to clock in again. That's not hustle. That structure. That's systems,
and the systems with and the system we are in.
It's been designed for us to carry it away while
they get to chill. Now, listen, this is a new
(06:27):
The same blueprint has been used for centuries. Colonizers showed
up in Africa and America's grinny and shaking hands and
left with the people gold and land. There's an old parable.
A man finds a frozen snake, takes pity on it,
(06:47):
warms it up in his coat. The snake once revives,
bite him and the man screens. Why the snake says,
what did you expect? I'm a snake. That's how predatory
system does work. They get they can smile in your face,
but at the end of the day, they still going
to bite your ass. That's their nature. Here's where Coolie
(07:13):
try Galia kicks in. What if we change the story.
What if we stop glorifying the folks who hoard wealth
and start celebrating the ones who build communities. What if
in our groups, our movements, our households, everyone did a little.
Too often it's a handful of folks doing everything, burned out, tired,
(07:38):
carrying the whole vision on their back, while others chill
in the crowd talking about that's dope. No, that ain't it.
If you're part of something, be part of it. Give
your time, share your skills, drop a donation, lend a hand.
When we all play our part, nobody gets it, gets
(08:00):
crushed under the weight. So here's your reflection for the
today and the weak family. Be the shift, share the load,
because when everybody puts in just a little effort, we
all get to breathe, we all get to rise, we
(08:22):
all get to build something that lasts. This is no frills,
no thrills. I'm brother Hot Tim reminding you to move
with purpose and power, and I'll catch y'all on the
next episode. Peace Family. I'm oh, and I'm about to
go kick it for we have got oh man. I'm
(08:45):
looking right now, I'm looking forward, but in the moment
when you're hearing this right, I'm taking it. I'm in
Ghan now, so let me go and enjoy myself. I'm
out
