Speaker 1 (00:01):
Great day, great day. Man. Wherever this day may have
found you, and whatever date this has found you, man,
I want to welcome you to no frills, no thrills,
just Brother hot Ten, just me and you chilling right
here in my new environment. Please excuse the echo because
(00:23):
you know I got a good mic. You probably gonna
pick that up. But let's jump into it. We're talking
about sweet lies, how sugar is hustling our health and
hijacking our youth. All right, So first of all, I
want to say peace to each and every last one
of you. And no I'm not in Africa, so stop
af accent man, listen, it went back. Let me tell
(00:44):
you something, man, I just got the date right now
is June tenth. This will be heard on June twenty eighth.
That's the plan, right, episode close to three thousand. That's
all I can say. Right, And those of you that's
(01:08):
been struggling with me, y'all know that I've been struggling
trying to get my visa. I couldn't even get my
passport back. They held us up and we had to
cancel the trip. And it's going to cost thousands of dollars. Well,
let's say I lost thousands of dollars. But you know
(01:29):
we're gonna reschedule and set it up, trying to set
it up for next year. I'm gonna sit down and
focus on some of this stuff. But let's let's let's
get to the podcast. You know, get back on script.
I tell get back on script, sweet lines, how sugar
is hustling our youth. I'm hustling our health and hijacking
(01:49):
our youth. Taking a sip. Let me hit you with
something quick and sticky, not sweet, though, dicky, like a trap.
See a lot of us out hearing on the Jeammy
Journey talk about serenity, over our time, over our minds,
(02:12):
over our spirit. But today I want to talk about
a little thing stealing all three. And it's probably high
in your kitchen right now. I'm talking about sugar. Yeah,
that's sweet white devil. Sugar isn't just flavor, man, It's
(02:33):
a chemical setup, a neural ninja. Studies have shown that
sugar can be more addictive than cocaine. I want you
to really hear this, because I know this is not
the first time you heard this. But all of us
will go out here and we'll give a kid a
(02:54):
lollipop what's crazy is even doctors giving children lollipop. But
studies have shown that sugar can be more, not as
more addictive than cocaine. It's lighting up the same pleasure
spots in your brain, whispering sweet nothings while it's robbing
(03:16):
you of your clarity, your energy, and your focus. It'll
have you up jittery. Then poom, the crash hits and
you think it's just you being lazy or undisciplined. Nah, manna, no, no, no,
that's the sugar talking. Removing sugar ain't just a health decision.
(03:39):
It's a liberation strategy. But hold on, hold on, Let's
take a break real quick. If this message is hitting you,
past for a second, tap the follow share this with
somebody raising kids, teaching you, or just trying to break free.
We are here reclaiming health and building warriors, not sugar zombies.
(04:03):
So let's get back to the show makes you like subscribe.
Come on now, get on the speaker station. I'm trying
to build up my speaker station. All right, let me
bring just closer to home. You wonder why some of
our young ones seem like they're aspiraling, can't focused, can'ts
(04:24):
is still ain't calm down, man, Do I know that
before you write it off it's bad behavior or blame
the parents ASTs what they ate this morning? Cereal, m juice, hmmm,
fruit snacks, energy drinks. You will be surprised, You really
(04:48):
will be surprised. They're walking into school not with a
learning disability, but a sugar overload. That's chemistry, not character.
That's chemistry not character. Then when they get into the school,
they go and they feed them sugar snacks for breakfast.
(05:10):
You gotta look at those breakfasts. Family. We need to
go on and we need to start going and taking
an inventory of what we are allowing to be put
into our children's system. Then some of y'all getting calls
because I'm making some of those calls, you gotta come
get them right. I'm just saying, we got kids getting
(05:31):
punished for what's on their plate, not what's in their spirit.
Now Here where it's get sneaky sugar hides. You might say, well,
I don't drink soda, I'm good, but sugar comes dressed
in disguise. Look out for anything ending in oaths os seed. Right,
(05:52):
you got gluecoats, fruit coats, soup krows, dec tros, maltose,
high fruit corns rup. That's the final boss man, Gotta
watch out for it. Even health foods like granola bars,
protein shades, and yogurts are often sugar bombs, dressed like
(06:12):
they belong in whole foods, right, but nah, they're making
whole fools. You gotta read the labels like you read
contracts with suspicion. Now listen, I'm not saying you gotta
be a monk and never touch sweetness again. I'm saying
be intentional. Here's where to start. Switch the water, drop
(06:39):
the juice, the soda, even some of the health drinks water,
herbal teas, fruit and fruits. Water. Go back to the source,
all right. And then if you're gonna drink juices, try
to drink juices with the with the pulp in it. Right.
You know what I'm saying, blended down, blended juices, right,
not just use is where they just take that because
(07:01):
you're just getting that sugar. Be careful label check everything.
If sugar or any of the osis osc is in
the first three ingredients, it's not food, it's bait. Hood
fruit over fake fruit. Nature, got it right. Fiber slows
(07:22):
that sugar. Now and feeds your body, not your cravings.
That's what I said about the juicing you want to get.
You want to get that fiber. Teach the youth, show
them how to read labels, let them become sugar sluice.
Power starts with knowledge. Build sugar free zones, whether it's
in your classroom, your home, or just one mill a day.
(07:45):
Set a boundary that builds health. Now let me close
with this. A spoonful of poison doesn't taste bitter until
it's too late. That's one of those proverbs, right, I
can't claim that that's calling though. A spoonful of poison
doesn't taste bitter until it's too late. You can't keep
(08:06):
dose in our youth with the very thing that keeps
them foggy, cranky, unfocused, and then asks them to build nations.
If sugar is blocking your clarity, your energy, you're flow,
then today is the day to make a move. Don't
aim for perfect, just aim for better. This is brother
keeping the real, keeping it raw and helping sweeping up
(08:27):
your life with truth, not sugar. I'm out
