Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is a bag made by for Roam, specifically for
the Starlink Mini. You put the Starlink Mini in this
bag with a battery pack, of which there are very
various models. A battery pack you can use for this,
and then you stick this in the back of your
backpack or take it with you on the road, or
(00:21):
put it in the dashboard of your truck and you
just let it run and it runs great. I've been
using this here all weekend. It's got some straps on
the back here. You can molly strap it to a
back of a backpack if you want to. They say
you can hike with it, although if you hike with it, it's
going to be pointed backwards on your back. So I'm
not sure exactly how well it would work, but it
might be an interesting experiment to try. And I've been
(00:42):
running this for the last four days here. I've actually
been running it longer than I've done some experimenting with
it in other places. But we've been here at the
Hunting Least for four days and been running it ever
since and it's run great. So let me show you
this thing real quick. So the bag here has a
zipper on the top and it comes down to basically
(01:04):
the bottom of both sides, and the Starlink Mini dish
fits in there perfectly. Right now, I have how I've
been running this since we've been here at the Hunting Lease.
Is this long cable right here is just a cable
I got off Amazon, and it's got the proprietary plug
for the Starlink Mini, the barrel connector in here, and
(01:26):
it's I think it's like ten or twelve feet long.
And at the other end of it, I have a
USBC connector so and it's been plugged into my ecoflow
system for the last four days that I've been here.
I have a battery for it right here, and I've
been experimenting with this. This is something else that was
sent to me, So shout out to for Rome, which
I'll link in the description below for sending me this bag.
(01:48):
And there's another company that sent me this battery, but
I'm still testing it. I'm not haven't determined whether I'm
gonna recommend this one yet. There's more than one company
that's making these, but the company that sent me this,
I want to promote them as long as I can
get this to work correctly. But this is really cool
because it slides in right there and snaps in to
the bottom of the star Link Mini and then you
(02:10):
attach the proprietary barrel connector there directly from the battery
to there. Great concept and I used it for a
while and it lasted, I don't know, a few hours
one afternoon, but then I can't get it to charge
back up again. So still testing this. Not able to
recommend that yet, but there's multiple battery systems out there,
(02:31):
and you can run it in a battery and self
and close it. It's got this strap on the endside of it.
You can velcrow it to the outside and leave it
open hanging up like that again. It's got the Mulley
straps on the back. It's got an extra pocket here
in the front for when you're maybe when you're traveling
and not using not using the dish at all. You
(02:52):
can wrap up your USB cables and put him in here.
You can put him some Unethernet cable, which the Starlink
has an Ethernet port in it as well, so it's
got a lot of options. But this thing's really cool.
You could tell by feeling it that it's it's a
weather proof. I did leave it out. It did rain
on this one night during this trip, and I left
it outside and it was fun. Now the starlink, it's
not gonna hurt the starlink to get wet, but you
(03:13):
don't want it to get all like. You don't want
the bag to ruin overtime because it got wet too much,
because it's not made out of a harsh enough material.
This thing's got a waterproof zipper on it as well,
and of course it's got the patch on the front
of it which I gotta put my I gotta put
my hand radio two point zero patch on that right there.
But there you go. So once again, shout out to
four Roam for sending me this bag. You know how
(03:35):
I am about bags and packs. I created a whole
channel about bags and packs called my pac Man Channel.
But this is what's been running my start, been carrying
my Starlink Mini and protecting it for the last four
days here in the field, and so far, so good.
We're gonna be doing a series of videos on my
unplug channel about the eco flow system that I'm running
(03:56):
for this hunting season, So follow along over there. We're
gonna mentioned this over there as well, and as time
goes on, I'll be doing more updates and updated reviews
of what I think about this and the battery and
some other starlink stuff I have coming to me as well.
If you want to send me some Starlink stuff, contact
me at the contact info in the description of this video.
(04:17):
Happy to test all of the starlink stuff I can
get my hands on, because I've really been enjoying using
this out here in the field. Seventy three guys, we'll
catch you next time.
