I want to first give a good shout out to

(07:28):
everyone who participated last night in the Teacher's Institute giveaway.
They raised eighteen thousand and thirty one dollars last night,
eighteen thou thirty one dollars in during this live stream.
It looks like this one was like six hours, eight hours,
I'm sorry, eight hours, and then I guess they had
a blooper or something because it stopped and then started

(07:51):
again and they did another two hours, so I think
they went for about ten hours. Away was eighteen thousand
dollars last night for eight doublerol Teachers Institute. A great
thing to support a great amateur radio venture, A great
way to support amateur radio in schools and STEM programs.
So really appreciate everyone who participated in that last night.

(08:12):
The link is still open awurl dot org, forward slash
give to stem. That's their permanent link. It's always open,
So that link is still open and you can still
go here to Josh's live stream and click on the
donate link if you want to do it through there.
So really great to, really great effort by those guys
last night. So obs crash you That's what happens when

(08:32):
you livestream great and a half freaking hours, something's gonna crash,
especially if you're on a Mac. He'd probably do it
in Windows two. So good thing there, all right, So yeah,
congrats with those guys. Great live stream last night. I
watched part of it. I didn't stay up for the
whole eight hours, but I did watch part of it.
One other thing is that the mystery box thing is
going really really well right now. We're on the November boxes.

(08:57):
I've shipped out about two thirds of them. We had
a record number of boxes this this go around. Started
in May, been doing it every other month since May.
This is our fourth box and we're gonna do it
and it'll renew again in January. Had really good results,
really good feedback about these boxes this time. So starting
to get feedback from the audience, starting to send emails
out to people and saying, Okay, what would you like

(09:18):
to see, what kind of upgrades you want to do
this kind of thing, et cetera, et cetera. So good
good mystery boxes out there, And yesterday I added some
of these one offs. Everybody likes these one offs every
time I talk about these one offs. Got a couple
of November boxes in there, and a brand new December
box in there, some stuff in there. Got some Bowfang
radios to get rid of tid Radio's rad tails and
h just kind of one off stuff is stuff in

(09:41):
these one off mystery boxes. So if you want to
join the subscription, you can do that from there. If
you want to just get one off, be one and done,
you can do that from there. I see James Quirky
QRP in the chat thank you for the heated desk pad. James,
I I have no idea of what I will use

(10:01):
that for unless I get a bowl of Frank's beans
and want to put it on the desk next to
me operating and keep it warm. But because Frank can
hear me right now, but uh yeah, uh yeah, that
was cool.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
It was cool.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
I just thirty eight degrees outside in Texas right now,
So maybe i'll use it this week.

Speaker 7 (10:19):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (10:21):
All right, let's uh, let's bring these guys in because uh,
I hear Frank in my ears and it's driving me nuts.
What's up, buddy, how's it going, y'all?

Speaker 8 (10:31):
How are you doing?

Speaker 1 (10:31):
How's everyone doing?

Speaker 7 (10:33):
Good?

Speaker 5 (10:33):
Good evening?

Speaker 1 (10:34):
Good evening?

Speaker 2 (10:35):
Adi?

Speaker 1 (10:37):
What's up? Bill?

Speaker 2 (10:38):
Are you doing? Man? Long time? We'll see.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
Yeah, it's been a while, been a while. Glad you,
Glad you're able to join us. I had to send
Bill a text he texted me about something random early.
I was like, oh, by the way, join Zoom tonight.
Because I know he's not looking at Discord. The rest
of you hear from Discord, I think, so what's discord?
Yeah exactly, Yeah, there it goes.

Speaker 8 (10:58):
That's a mic answer right there.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
Yeah, yeah, it would be? Would be, wouldn't it? Let's see,
what do you say? Just throw it in the giveaway
if you like Jason? No, man, I'm gonna keep that thing. Heck,
I gotta. I gotta put a cup of coffee on
it and see how long it'll keep my coffee warm.
When I'm out there doing.

Speaker 8 (11:15):
How How how big of a heating ad element is?

Speaker 2 (11:19):
Is?

Speaker 8 (11:20):
Is it meant for a drink? Is it the mint?
Just to lay your body on? Because it's thirty degrees
outside today?

Speaker 1 (11:26):
It's not that big, you know. It's probably like, I
don't know, two feet a foot and a half two
feet long and maybe ten to twelve inches tall something
like that.

Speaker 8 (11:35):
Oh nice.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
So it's not a bad size. It's good size. It's
that roll up material that's the kind of like the
plastic material.

Speaker 8 (11:41):
So is you meant to put it on the seat
and sit on it?

Speaker 1 (11:44):
Could be you could do that. It's got the whole
band plan and a bunch of extra good information on there,
you know, like all of his desk pads have. And
I got it and I plugged it in, and I'm like,
where are the lights? I thought it was a lighted.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
Pad with the RP yoga mat Uh.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
I mean, I guess it could be. It's too it's
too small to be a yoga mat coirky.

Speaker 8 (12:03):
We are gonna make one of those heated tank radio.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
What up.

Speaker 9 (12:09):
A heated blanket?

Speaker 1 (12:10):
You could sit on it? You could totally sit on it.
I mean heat a blanket, Yes, yeah, twelve twelve volt
heated blanket.

Speaker 8 (12:19):
Oh yeah, you're just battery then yeah.

Speaker 7 (12:22):
A.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
Snuggie. Yeah yeah, but uh yeah, it was it was good.
It was, it was, it was. I was like, yeah,
I plugged it in and turn it on, like you know,
lights coming on, and then I touched it. I'm like, oh, dude,
that thing's getting warm.

Speaker 8 (12:38):
And we make it a form of a tank.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
I took my h my laser thermometer and pointed it out.
It's like ninety seven degrees. I'm like, oh wow, like
uh uh is Oh what's up, buddy, Good evening. Yeah,
we're gonna do some giveaways tonight. We're gonna give away
a couple of lightsaber Maxes from Power Film. Power Film

(13:03):
donated they sent me to brand new in a box
lightsaber maxes at the beginning of my thirty Days of
Ham radio project that I did in September, and we
did a live stream after that to kind of follow
up and close that out. And it's kind of weird
because people were donating to a to a non profit
charitable event, and you can't really do giveaways for nonprofit donations.

(13:25):
There's there's some legal stipulations behind that.

Speaker 8 (13:27):
So I thought it kind of seems as a was
it a raffle?

Speaker 1 (13:33):
Raffle, that's the word, kind of like a raffle. Yeah,
so we don't we don't do that. Yeah. So I
still got those and never given those away. I've got
two brand new qr Z one hts from Gigaparts, and
I've got and Rondo is donating i think a twenty
empower battery. They're gonna they're gonna drop ship that to
whoever the winner is. Somebody said, somebody said, uh, how

(13:55):
do I enter? You have to be present in chat
to win. So we're going to pull up this this
giveaway bot here. Let me let me make sure I've
got the right screen right here. Okay, so we're gonna
pull up this giveaway bot night bought here and I'm
gonna say a word and you're gonna type that word
into chat and then all that stuff will show up

(14:17):
right here and I'll click on choose a winner, and
uh and that's how we're gonna do that. So have
to be present to win. No pre entry is required.

Speaker 8 (14:25):
Hoda logs. Yeah, first giveaway word, I.

Speaker 1 (14:29):
Mean, sapphire is always a good gaveaway word too. Yeah, yeah,
quirky I might use quirky tonight.

Speaker 2 (14:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (14:37):
Did you see the last live stream we just wrapped up? No,
give you all a chance to ras me. It was
about how to upload lugs that you said on for
so long and fixing the weird errors that pop it up.
So good news the lugs from Bryce and Zion we're uploaded.
Everything after that has not been really.

Speaker 10 (15:00):
Where he just went through the log a log. I
wouldn't I quit ham Radio. Oh my gosh, there's an
easier way, Bud.

Speaker 8 (15:08):
Yeah, So we were going through it and just fixing
all the rare errors that pop up. But I just
wanted to give you all a chance to rasp me
a bit there, because yeah, it's been a good year.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
I've got some I've got some logs I still haven't uploaded.

Speaker 8 (15:25):
I think the shame started.

Speaker 1 (15:27):
It's not as far back as when you and I
were in Zion. Yeah, my goodness, but the.

Speaker 8 (15:31):
Shame started the Colorado because I didn't open up a
new log. I just kept adding to the other log.
And you said, of seeing Steve's eyes bug out.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
I made him I made him full Yeah, I.

Speaker 8 (15:43):
Made him full screen. I was like, here, this is
what I did in Colorado. He's like, you did what
That's never gonna work?

Speaker 1 (15:50):
Oh my gosh, oh my goodness, that is that's ridiculous.

Speaker 11 (15:57):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
Well, I got a Saint Nld pumpkin eader, oh, which
is a fantastic pumpkin stout. Saint Arnold is in Houston, Okay, Azy,
they're in Uh it's an Imperial pumpkin stout. They come
out every year. There's a year right there, twenty twenty five.
I bought two or three bottles a couple of weeks
ago found in the store. I've got bottles dating back

(16:21):
to twenty nineteen. I think I've got at least one
bottle from twenty nineteen, twenty twenty, twenty twenty one. I
think there's one year is either twenty three or twenty
four in there that I couldn't find it. But I've
got like bottles from every year, and I kind of
drinking periodically. I will usually drink one of these during
my October or November Happy Hour livestream. But we haven't
done a happy hour since Labor Day, which was actually

(16:43):
August thirty first. Well, the happy hours on August thirty first,
which was Sunday, Labor Day, was the next day, Monday,
September first. We haven't done a happy hour since then.
Been kind of busy this year. Oh, I think my
three D print spaghetti on me.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
That's Marathon ham Radio.

Speaker 1 (17:04):
Well, and that's what I was doing during during September. Yeah,
and it was it was. That was a fun event,
and I got a couple of ideas for a couple
of other similar type events.

Speaker 8 (17:14):
Y'all. The the the giveaway. But it's not active right now,
so you can stop putting sapphire and logs in the chat.

Speaker 1 (17:21):
I see a lot of people typing potologues what is
that about?

Speaker 8 (17:25):
Because it was the first thing we suggest.

Speaker 1 (17:28):
It's not yet, we haven't turned that on yet.

Speaker 8 (17:31):
So do you have a camera of the spaghetti and
to show us what you were working on?

Speaker 1 (17:37):
No, well, yes, but I'm not working it's not Ham
Radio related. I'm working on some I'm working on a
Christmas Santa thing that my wife's like, she's like, you
never decorated anything. So I started three three D printed
some evil looking Jack leonards and put them up for Halloween. Yes,
and she's like, what are you doing. I was like,
these look cool. She's like, she's giving me that side eye,

(17:59):
you know. But I'm like, hey, it's decoration. And then
she and then like the day after Halloween, she's like, Okay,
what are you gonna do with those? Now there's still
I'll put them away somewhere. But uh so, yeah, I'm
three D printing a Christmas decoration, but kind of kind
of elaborate Christmas decoration. But we'll see. But I print.

(18:23):
I've been having to, I've been, I've been. I've printed
several things in the last two or three days that
have just spaghettied on me for no reason. I think
maybe it's because of the rain we had yesterday. There's
some moisture in the air, and some of the stuff
might be a little bit more not wet, but you know,
a little bit more humid than it should be.

Speaker 8 (18:41):
Yeah, do you have a printing in closed case or
is it just open to the air.

Speaker 1 (18:46):
The printer itself is enclosed, it's enclosed climate control the
whole nine yards. But but the filaments itself are in
the ams which has a lid that covers it. But
it's not weather proof, you know. So two it's not.
I don't think it's the pro two. I don't think
the pro two is out when I bought this printer

(19:06):
problem it's the four roll YEP one. I don't I
think it's just called an AMS. Yeah, I am something
I don't. I don't remember. I so Dave, I have
done that numerous times. Dave says, clean your build plate
with dawn dish up. That's exactly how I clean it.

(19:27):
And after it's spaghettied a couple times. Yesterday I watched
the whole thing down with don dish soap, rinted off
real good, touched it by the side. Tim gray Man
PoTA would have been happy with me because I didn't
put my fingers on it. And I put it back
in and the first thing I printed, and this was
it was raining yesterday most of the day yesterday, and
my printer's out here in the shack and it's not
climate I mean it's climate controlled, but it's not like

(19:49):
air tid in here, and and it's spaghettied on me.
So I turned it off and left it overnight, let
it cool down and do the whole thing. And then
today the heater's going. It's been colder out, no rain
to day. Heater's going. Hamshack's nice and warm. It's not
very humid. I printed several things today. The first thing
I printed today spaghetti, But then I printed like four
things with no problem, and then this last thing I

(20:10):
printed just now, spaghetti do on me? So I don't know,
but yeah, such as.

Speaker 7 (20:15):
All its pretty good for bill plates too.

Speaker 1 (20:18):
I I think, yeah, I think I was told that
when I bought this one as well.

Speaker 5 (20:24):
But what model do you have?

Speaker 7 (20:26):
Again?

Speaker 1 (20:27):
I have the it was the top of the line
one before the H two came out, which is there
the it's a larger plate. It's the X one echo
is the one I have X one, which I think
it's still considered the top of the line even though
it's the same. All of them are the same size
build plate. Yeah, as as you know, the P one
and P two and X one Alpha or whatever it is,

(20:49):
and X one echoes and one I've got and mine
has a built in heater and air conditioner. It'll heat
and cool the chamber. And then that h H two
or HP two whatever it was, came out and it's
less expensive, but it's got a larger build plate. So
if I end up getting a second printer, that's probably
the one I will pick up.

Speaker 12 (21:09):
So is it a bed slinger or what they call
it x y core where the bed moves or the
bed go up and down.

Speaker 1 (21:17):
The bed goes up and down, and yeah, the bed
goes up and down and as it prints, the bed
kind of drops like this and the print head you know,
x ys on it.

Speaker 13 (21:26):
So, yeah, Jim's trying to teach.

Speaker 1 (21:30):
Yeah, well, you know, I don't believe everything Jim tells you.
But yeah, yeah, but but yeah, so I don't. I
don't know. It's it's it's fine. Normally it works great,
but you know, climate changes and whatnot. I don't know.
We'll see.

Speaker 5 (21:47):
Are you using their filment or a different brand.

Speaker 1 (21:50):
I have had very good luck with their filament, and
I have started using some just cheapy off brand Chinese, well,
the bamboo filments Chinese also, but just Amazon filament.

Speaker 7 (22:03):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (22:04):
They had a sail a while back, and I bought
some Amazon filment, and typically I have no problems with it.
I mean, I printed a bunch of winders and I
printed some dog bones and I had no problems with
with any of that. And just just in the last
couple of days is when i've I mean I've had
stuff spaghetti on me just kind of randomly. Once every

(22:24):
ten prints, I'll have something spahetti wipe it off, clear
it and hit print again and it goes and it's fine.
But I think it's just the I think it's just
the moisture in the umunity and the air right now,
but I don't right, I don't know.

Speaker 8 (22:36):
So it's been unusually wet and warm this year.

Speaker 1 (22:40):
I was been very very warm this year.

Speaker 8 (22:42):
I tried to go to a park today and I
was all wrapped up and bundled and ended up not
activating because I forgot a battery.

Speaker 10 (22:51):
I was all warmed upbraided, hunt you, Frank, and then
the the street disappeared.

Speaker 8 (22:57):
Yeah, because I set up and I was like, I
didn't have a battery. Now. I really did toy about
hooking the radio to the car because I have a
power public distribution block in the back, but running HF
at one hundred watts, I was afraid of draining my
car battery and not be able to.

Speaker 2 (23:12):
Leave start the car.

Speaker 8 (23:15):
Yeah, and how much interference would that cause?

Speaker 1 (23:19):
None from a lawn from a lawnmower engine that those
things aren't grounded or anything, so probably a lot. I
don't know. Jody Bamboo's sale priced filment steered me away
from the competitors might save money, but I want to
avoid the resemblance of hassle. Agreed. I agree with that statement.
The issue and it's not an issue. The thing is

(23:43):
that I have found some really cool colors of filament
on Amazon that I have not found in Bamboo branded filment.
I found like a like a like an olive drab
and a desert tan and a coyote brown and kind
of like some some colors that are you know, more
like camouflage esque, olive green olive, yeah, olive drab, all

(24:07):
of green. Yes, I was a little.

Speaker 9 (24:09):
Bit disappointed by Bamboo's color choices for some of their
filament types.

Speaker 1 (24:14):
Yeah, yeah, Yeah. You find one that you really like
and it turns out to be p L A and
you want pet G or something like that exactly. So yeah, yeah,
I mean Bamboo film. The Bamboo filment is fantastic. I've
had zero issues with Bamboo film it, but up until
just a couple of days ago, I've actually not had
any issues with the cheapy filment either. And you're right,
the if bamboos running a sale, whether it's on Amazon

(24:37):
or gigabarts, is running a sale because they carry a
full line of bamboo film it as well. It's it's
that's you find that stuff on sale, that and you
can't go wrong with it. It's very good filment. So yeah,
I agree with that. All right, let's uh, let's give
some stuff away.

Speaker 9 (24:55):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (24:55):
The first thing we're gonna do here is I've got
you guys are familiar with this website, gigaparts. I think
they've got all their Black Friday stuff going on now.
They've actually had this for a couple of weeks. It
changes at least once a week, maybe a couple times
a week. It will change. Got some sale prices going
on here. If you use the coupon code of KC

(25:16):
five HWB, you will get double points on everything. Everything
on the website get double points, and you save those
points in your account. And then the next time they
run a ten X or a twenty X or a
couple times. Last year they ran a forty X promotion.
So you buy thousand dollars worth of stuff, you get
a thousand points. You use KC five HWB, now you

(25:37):
have two thousand points, and then they run a forty
X and now you have eighty thousand points to spend
on whatever the heck you want to. So it turns
out you got to be patient. It's not an immediate discount,
but it can turn out to be a lot better
than what some of the five percent off sales they
used to run for us content creators. So we're gonna
have away two of these tonight. Courtesy of Gigaparts floor

(26:00):
QRZ one five want dual band ht I've still got
one of these somewhere around here.

Speaker 8 (26:05):
I have one, and it is a great starting radio. Yeah.
Do they still do like a cheap discount for new
amateur radio operators that the first year? Yeah, they still are.

Speaker 1 (26:17):
They do. They do something. It changes every now and then,
and I don't know what the current thing is. I mean,
you could see right here it's selling for sixty dollars,
but I know they they still do something if if
you just got your license, you can contact them somehow
and get it for like shipping or I don't know.

Speaker 9 (26:34):
Yeah, there's it's like for like eight or yeah, seventeen
ninety nine right now. It's the QRZ Gigaparts jumpstart program.
They were giving them away, but that stopped after like
the first two years.

Speaker 1 (26:47):
I think it was I think it was a number.
I think it was like the first thousand radios or
they kept pushing it.

Speaker 9 (26:52):
They kept on pushing it back a few times, yeah
they did. Yeah. But currently as as a ve this,
I have this information and it's a brand new qr
Z one radio okay, rebranded t y t u V
eighty eight.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
It's custom firmware.

Speaker 1 (27:09):
Right right, and it has custom firmware, yes, correct, Yeah.

Speaker 9 (27:13):
Also get the programming software and cable from RT Systems
and a thirty day premium.

Speaker 2 (27:19):
Qr Z subscription.

Speaker 9 (27:21):
Oh nice, all for seventeen ninety nine. Okay, I don't
know that includes uh tax or not. But depending on
where you live.

Speaker 1 (27:30):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it depends on what state you live in.
I'm sure. So all right, so let's give me a word. No,
we're not.

Speaker 8 (27:41):
Doing that, simm in. How about explore.

Speaker 1 (27:45):
Explore is a good word, leave it to. It's a
sad day when Frank has the most logical answer out
of all you guys.

Speaker 8 (27:52):
I've been drinking, so I came in and popped in
my head.

Speaker 1 (27:58):
But hold on, don't uh, don't type anything yet because
I've got to set this reset entries, reset giveaway options
we're gonna do explore and done. Okay, okay, type Explorer
into Yep, there.

Speaker 8 (28:16):
We go, uppercase lower lowercase.

Speaker 1 (28:19):
It's all lowercases. How I don't think case matters, but yep,
we got some entries, twenty seven entries. Now it's it's
a few seconds behind. It'll catch up. Oh yeah, forty entries. Yeah, well,
just let it go. We'll just let it go. Let
it go, and that's where it'll go. Explore, Explorer, Tank

(28:40):
radio typed in.

Speaker 8 (28:43):
Y'all. Don't spam because it will nuke, y'all.

Speaker 1 (28:48):
Yeah, so so night bots not like and yeah, and
it will only if you put it in there five times.
It only this this plugin that you're looking at on
the screen, right, It only counts it once from each user.
So unless you're logged in from multiple account watching.

Speaker 8 (29:01):
The streams, well, it's also YouTube is censoring. I have
to start clicking show show show show show show Yeah.

Speaker 1 (29:08):
Yeah, yeah yeah, YouTube will start doing that too. But yeah,
and if you walk in, want to log in from
multiple counts, from five or ten different accounts and watch
the stream, then we could get a thousand people watching
this live stream. That'd be okay, that'd be kind that
was a hack that they came. They came that they
some guy did that a while back, and then they
put the kibosh on it. And I don't think you

(29:28):
can actually watch from more than one IP address for
more than one count.

Speaker 8 (29:33):
I hope all y'all who having their message held. I
had only said it once. And I don't see a
lot of duplicates here. Good, but I'm having to click
show a lot right now. I don't don't know going on.

Speaker 1 (29:51):
Yep, let's see.

Speaker 8 (29:54):
I want double entries for this.

Speaker 1 (29:56):
There is night plot is a terrorist builds?

Speaker 8 (29:59):
Yeah, right, it can be.

Speaker 1 (30:02):
It doesn't like it doesn't like when you put a
bunch of emojis in there at once.

Speaker 9 (30:05):
Well you guys know that set the rules and stuff
that bottle.

Speaker 1 (30:09):
Jump yet Yeah, yeah, I just kind of left mine
un default. I didn't really set rule. It's rare that
I have problems with it. So we've got two hundred
and twenty what's that say? Two hundred and twenty three
entries right now? Wow? So yep, we're going five hundred
and seven of you watching what's up? Digital Ranchers in
the house.

Speaker 8 (30:28):
What's up?

Speaker 1 (30:28):
Rob?

Speaker 2 (30:29):
Rob?

Speaker 1 (30:32):
He's in an airport somewhere. I think I don't know
if he's coming or going. I assume that he's.

Speaker 5 (30:36):
He might be going back, coming back from me.

Speaker 8 (30:40):
I'm Hotel's coming home. He might be.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
He might be going too, because a new week starts tomorrow,
so I don't know. I don't know if he's coming
or going.

Speaker 8 (30:48):
But while we wait for this and try a little water,
I'm just gonna say it here. Take radio pint glasses
because we pushed them pretty hard over on the stream.
Are in. I have boxes in and I'm just waiting
for the new stickers to be delivered so I can
post these with stickers. And I'm hoping to start shipping

(31:11):
late this week or next week. Good when i'm ready, Jason,
I'll let you know and we'll good handle stuff. But
there's been progress, and thank y'all. I kind of took
the Thanksgiving week a little off, but it's been progress.

Speaker 1 (31:28):
That's okay. Yeah, there's nothing wrong with that and wrong Yeah. Yeah,
I've got a bunch of stuff to ship out tomorrow
from the website just because I shipped a bunch of
stuff on like Tuesday of this week, Tuesday or Wednesday,
and then I haven't done anything since then, because I'm
just like, yeah, it's holiday. They didn't run on Thursday anyway.
Friday was a nuthouse. I wouldn't go into the freaking
store the post office on Friday, forget that noise.

Speaker 9 (31:51):
I don't go out on Black Fridays.

Speaker 8 (31:52):
Yeah, to answer a question here, did Frank find a
new job? Yes, I've been carefully a poor for about
three four months now, and the other channel has been
gone away. And the key that I've been working on
lately is distressing.

Speaker 1 (32:12):
The distress you should yeah, distressing. Huh, what's up, Paul?

Speaker 7 (32:19):
Hey, how's it going.

Speaker 14 (32:20):
I thought i'd jump in just before I win this?

Speaker 1 (32:22):
Okay, yeah, good, awesome. That that won't look that won't
look like a hack at all, if that actually happens.
Two hundred and fifty entries, Now, that's only half of you,
five hundred and eighteen people watching. There's only two hundred
and fifty entries, So come on, y'all. So I'll give
it a few more minutes. And uh again, we've got

(32:44):
two of these, so whoever wins the first one, we'll
have a second one. And these will be drop shipped
from gigaparts, Gigaparts and I should have said this up front.
So the only somebody asked what do you do to enter?
And again, the only thing you have to do the
entwer is be in the chat type in the right word,
which this one's explorer. And the second thing you have

(33:08):
to do is answer my freaking email when I email
you tomorrow and say and give me your mailing address,
because if I don't hear from you or get your
mailing address, I can't ship you anything. Okay, So when
whoever wins, I will ask you to uh I said

(33:28):
something bad about Tim, I guess I will ask you
to contact me, probably either via email or via discord,
and provide me with your name and shipping information, so
I will need that before I can ship you anything.
So what's up, Tim?

Speaker 14 (33:46):
Hey? Ay doing?

Speaker 1 (33:48):
It's going man like like Paul.

Speaker 14 (33:50):
I thought i'd jump in here before I win this thing.

Speaker 2 (33:52):
Okay, Hey, hey, Paul, how you guys doing?

Speaker 8 (33:55):
Do you know, Billy want another handheld? Right?

Speaker 14 (33:58):
Absolutely, you can't. You can never have too many handhelds.

Speaker 10 (34:02):
Then why are you always trying to get rid of
that bad thing Jim off on you?

Speaker 14 (34:06):
Because Jim ponnded off on me.

Speaker 11 (34:07):
That's why that was oh hey, by the way, Tim,
here you go. Gave you something walking out the door. No,
I don't know it was it was part of the
Lake Luisa uh get together.

Speaker 1 (34:23):
Oh yeah, the yeah, the the ham Casion thing.

Speaker 14 (34:27):
Yeah, a couple of years ago.

Speaker 1 (34:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
I hate to sound like a new but the bands
are cooking. Was there a contest today?

Speaker 1 (34:34):
There's a contest every weekend.

Speaker 14 (34:36):
There's a big c W contest over the weekend.

Speaker 8 (34:39):
But it was so cold.

Speaker 1 (34:41):
There's there's there's a contest every every weekend. I challenge
you to find a weekend where there's not a contest.
It does not exist. Seriously. Yeah, there's either a state
quso party or or a or a contest running from
another nation Russia, France, England, whatever, South America. There's there's

(35:02):
there's a contest every week.

Speaker 8 (35:04):
We need to start a.

Speaker 2 (35:06):
Reason, right, yep, right right.

Speaker 1 (35:09):
We need to.

Speaker 8 (35:09):
Start a non contest contest weekend where you are not
allowed to run a contest and just work the bands.

Speaker 2 (35:17):
It's called fun bands.

Speaker 1 (35:19):
Yeah, it's called seven, it's called seventeen.

Speaker 8 (35:21):
But it's not a contest. You just get on the
bands and play radio.

Speaker 1 (35:26):
You can you can do that every day, working most
days that sounds like a personal problem to me.

Speaker 8 (35:35):
I know, non contest weekend. You're not allowed to work
with anyone that has a contest.

Speaker 1 (35:40):
I don't like. I don't like going to the park
on weekends anyway. It's too crowd The park itself is
too crowded, and there's too many people in the band.
I like going on like a Wednesday or Tuesday afternoon.
Tuesday afternoon. Yeah, it's a great time to go Toda, yep,
a great time.

Speaker 9 (35:54):
Especially during the summer where people have barbecues and yeah
they bring in food trucks with dirty generators.

Speaker 1 (36:01):
Yes, and car shows out.

Speaker 9 (36:03):
There with their loud muffers and bad electric electrical systems.

Speaker 1 (36:07):
Let's killed us a couple of times at Galveston.

Speaker 2 (36:10):
Yeah, it sounds like you speak from knowledge there, Jeff.

Speaker 9 (36:14):
Yep, yeah, yep, many times.

Speaker 1 (36:17):
Two hundred ninety nine entries. I need one more, and
I'm gonna pull the trigger on this. Mm hm, three
hundred there it is, okay, all right, three hundred entries.
You guys can see. I'm gonna let this roll as
I'm this should post in the chat, but sometimes it works,
sometimes it doesn't. So I'm gonna choose click on choose
a winner right here and J Farley J Farley j

(36:47):
waiting for winner to send a message. Jay Farley and
this there's a thirty second delay in YouTube, so I'll
leave this.

Speaker 8 (36:53):
So what do you what's this is the new thing?
Waiting for a winner to send a message, like.

Speaker 1 (36:57):
Yeah, I think so, just yeah, just to make sure
he's here, because you have to be present to win,
because otherwise how would you know? And how am I
going to get ahold of you?

Speaker 8 (37:07):
Okay? So so yeah, all right, so J Farley say
I won.

Speaker 1 (37:12):
Congratulations, Yeah, just say something in the chat erm period,
he says, He says, I'm here. Yeah, okay, I see him,
I see I seengs all right, good deal. Uh, J Farley,
send me if you're in discord, send me a DM
and discord if you're not. Uh, discord is Ham Radio

(37:33):
two dot com ford slash discord for anyone who's not
in there. If you're not in Discord, that's okay, send
me an email k C five HWB at gmail dot
com and uh let me know that you're in there.

Speaker 8 (37:45):
And your shipping addresses radio and QR.

Speaker 1 (37:49):
Is it yep, that's it? So yeah, so congratulations, I
hope that you find use out of that HT and
if you have thirty five hts, like I do, give
it away to someone at a local club or Christmas party.
If you're going to a Ham radio club Christmas party
coming up this month, give it away to someone, or
a new technician, a new technician, someone that's just got

(38:10):
their license, especially if it's a minor, if it's a kid,
give it away to someone. If you can't. If you
if you can use it, then by all means, keep
it and use it. You want it. It's your property,
do what you want to with it.

Speaker 14 (38:20):
So it makes a great white elephant gift too.

Speaker 1 (38:24):
In the right environment. Yeah, that's probably yeah, yeah, yeah,
that's probably true.

Speaker 8 (38:29):
Remember those white elephants we used to do at Hirst Club. Yeah,
that would be a great gift for a white elephant
radio club.

Speaker 1 (38:36):
It would.

Speaker 8 (38:37):
Even though I just go in there and pick up
the bag until I feel like, that's not liquor, that's
not liquor, that's not liquor, that feels like liquor. I'm
opening this one.

Speaker 1 (38:46):
I you know, I was thinking about that last night.
We haven't been to that Christmas party in a couple
of years. Frank we should try to go this year.

Speaker 8 (38:51):
We'll just crash it. Are you good on? Dudes?

Speaker 1 (38:54):
I'm not, no, but but I'm not. I'm not, And
I'm kind of ashamed of that because I I just
I just miss it. Bring a gift with you, so
bring out I mean, and then that that party has
never been for members only. Everybody's welcome there always has been.
And uh and I would I would renew my dudes,

(39:16):
I don't have any problem with that.

Speaker 2 (39:17):
I'd always when you arrive with your check book.

Speaker 1 (39:20):
Right right, right right, Yeah, just I haven't seen those
guys in a while. I wouldn't mind.

Speaker 14 (39:26):
And my bottle of bourbon always meant bad feelings.

Speaker 1 (39:30):
I'll get your well for some of those guys, maybe.

Speaker 8 (39:36):
Janey plays probably weighs the same as a fifth of vodka.
You're not going to disagree with.

Speaker 1 (39:41):
That, Yeah, maybe so, I don't know. That might be
a whole leader of actually.

Speaker 8 (39:50):
Is a tank stuce, just like his lugs way over there.

Speaker 1 (39:57):
All right, we're we're thirty seven minutes into this and
we won't give away one thing, So get somebody give
me another word?

Speaker 8 (40:02):
What is it? What do we giving away?

Speaker 1 (40:05):
Same thing again, same thing, same thing, we're gonna give
away another qr Z one same thing.

Speaker 8 (40:12):
Gigaparts, gigaparts.

Speaker 1 (40:14):
I like that. That's good. Okay, all right, hold on,
don't type it yet. Let me put it in here.
You gotta reset, take off this gigaparts all lower case,
and we're gone. Okay, everyone, gigaparts, gigaparts, g I G
A p A r T S.

Speaker 5 (40:31):
One word, two words, one.

Speaker 1 (40:32):
Word, gigaparts, and there we go. Show restream bought was
the first one in there. It's somebody on discord. Uh, okay,
KB five ut wise in there, Hem Radio, Crusader Prep,
Pam Paul Tank Radio. Of course, you guys heard me
say it before the chat.

Speaker 8 (40:53):
Did I wonder if any of these being seen?

Speaker 1 (40:59):
Uh?

Speaker 8 (41:00):
Is it YouTube?

Speaker 1 (41:01):
Because we're I see a lot of those. Yeah, just
click on show to all those if you have mud privileges.
Help me out here.

Speaker 8 (41:06):
Oh yeah, I'm clicking my I'm trying.

Speaker 1 (41:10):
It'll click, it'll go fast.

Speaker 7 (41:12):
They're flying, so.

Speaker 14 (41:14):
I wonder if they're getting throttled.

Speaker 1 (41:15):
And that's why it's that's what I think. There's just
too many people saying it at once. I guess the
chest just.

Speaker 14 (41:21):
All right, let's let's let's do it like I guess
the pile up here, guys.

Speaker 11 (41:24):
I need you guys to slow it down. Uh, just
just wait a few seconds in between entries.

Speaker 9 (41:30):
Everyone count the five between your I don't.

Speaker 1 (41:32):
Know that the last the last time I watched a
SpaceX launch which had like thirty thousand people watching. Uh,
it was the chat. You couldn't even watch you couldn't
even read the chat it was. It was running it
like ninety miles an hour. I'm like, what is the
point of this?

Speaker 8 (41:56):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (41:56):
No, I think it was the NASA channel.

Speaker 9 (41:58):
Actually, yeah, I don't know why some of these companies
do the live chats on their streams.

Speaker 1 (42:02):
I know, yeah, are you are there?

Speaker 9 (42:04):
Are they actually looking at the questions and that people
putting up there?

Speaker 1 (42:08):
And they're not paying They're not paying attention to it
at all.

Speaker 8 (42:11):
Yeah, the revenue, it's like they can't.

Speaker 14 (42:14):
I think that's for the consumer. Yah, it's not for
the streamer.

Speaker 9 (42:19):
Make them feel part of the experience.

Speaker 1 (42:21):
Right, Yeah, maybe yep, that's it.

Speaker 10 (42:24):
So hey, Jason, Yes, Bill Rockhaven says, what is discord
or how to get to discord?

Speaker 2 (42:32):
And I can't find a link? You want to drop
a link to your discord.

Speaker 8 (42:36):
Yeah, freak, and it should be already in your description,
but I will find it's.

Speaker 1 (42:42):
In the description. Yeah, Ham Radio two dot com forward
slash discord is the link, Frank, if you can put
that in the chat please, Yeah. Discord is a chat server.
It's a private chat that I have my own server on.
Josh has one, Freddie Mack has one. A lot of people,
a lot of different people have one. A good place
to do behind the scenes, talk about answer your amateur

(43:04):
rado questions about anything. So all right, come on, yeah,
I think my chat froze again. Did that a minute
ago too?

Speaker 8 (43:14):
That we get there?

Speaker 1 (43:15):
There it goes, okay, there we go. Okay, thank you, Frank,
appreciate that.

Speaker 2 (43:22):
All right.

Speaker 1 (43:22):
Gigabarts gig two and twenty two entries so far.

Speaker 8 (43:25):
John still prefers loggie with paper and ink. But how
do you correct your issues if it's ink?

Speaker 1 (43:34):
Cross it out and you write it again?

Speaker 9 (43:36):
Yeah, let me get then you can't read your writing.

Speaker 14 (43:40):
Have you ever filled out a deck log before? M oh,
I might have been the only one.

Speaker 2 (43:47):
Maybe maybe, yeah, maybe?

Speaker 7 (43:48):
Yeah.

Speaker 14 (43:48):
We had to do it all in pin Yeah, single
line strike through.

Speaker 10 (43:52):
Same thing at work. You put a line throat you
strike through. Yeah, I put a line through it and
do it again.

Speaker 5 (43:57):
Initially move on.

Speaker 1 (44:00):
Ed A C three, I K. We are giving away
a second qr Z one Explorer radio from Gigaparts. Gigaparts
is giving this way. They've donated these because there are
there are awesome supporters of the channel.

Speaker 5 (44:15):
Somebody make a similar radio to that.

Speaker 1 (44:17):
Yeah, yeah, the t y t u V eighty eight.
Then there's a there's a Reddivus one that's like that,
the gigaparts one. The qr Z one has its own
custom firmware, so they're not exactly the same. And quite frankly,
I think that the firmware gigaparts has works better than
the the Reddivus Balve Balfing firmware, but doubt that's what

(44:40):
we're giving away. And we're gonna give away some power
film Lightsaber max is here in a minute and redo
battery yep, yep. So got After this is done, we've
got three more things to give away. So two hundred
and thirty entries right now. We had three hundred on
the last one. I'm gonna let it go. Gigaparts is
the word get liberty cave.

Speaker 8 (45:01):
I love how you spell it, keep doing it.

Speaker 5 (45:06):
It reads like a ransom letter.

Speaker 11 (45:09):
So, Frank, I was, I was thinking about this problem
you had with the with the battery. You know, if
you kept a spare battery in the in the trunk
of your car, you wouldn't have that problem.

Speaker 8 (45:18):
I used to. I used to keep a spare battery.
But you know what makes lift the ion batteries go,
you know, crazy really fast heat. Heat heat what Texas
has in abundance in the summer.

Speaker 2 (45:35):
Carry out with you.

Speaker 8 (45:38):
It's not so I've been trying to taken them out
from the car. Now. There's no reason why they shouldn't
be in here because the heat's not there anymore right now.

Speaker 14 (45:48):
But yeah, and I was activating in the snow this morning.

Speaker 2 (45:53):
I was out there.

Speaker 8 (45:55):
I had I had my heavy coat, I had Long
John's on, I had Love's ready. I was, I was
going to power through.

Speaker 14 (46:03):
It, Long Johnson.

Speaker 1 (46:06):
Hey, it's thirty eight degrees. It's less than fifty degrees
in Texas. We're cold, okay, Just you.

Speaker 8 (46:11):
Know it was thirty three degrees when I went out
this morning.

Speaker 1 (46:14):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that sounds about above freezing. It's and
people say, well, open open the Northwest. Just negative. Well,
that's your freaking problem for living up there. It's not
my fault that you're crazy. Okay, yeah, it's not my
freaking Don't come crying. Don't come crying to me in
July when it hits ninety degrees in your state. Okay,
come on, please give me a freaking break.

Speaker 8 (46:33):
Let's play what airport is Robert?

Speaker 1 (46:36):
Yeah, Robert? Oh yeah, yep, y'all pissed him off. So
that's good stuff. Thought part.

Speaker 11 (46:49):
I think Robert realized he didn't have a signature digital
Rancher ball cap on I know.

Speaker 1 (46:55):
Yeah, Oh there he is. He's back. What's up man?

Speaker 15 (46:58):
Hey guys, I'm just trying to think out how to
get my ear pods.

Speaker 7 (47:02):
To work here.

Speaker 1 (47:03):
Oh well we can hear you.

Speaker 8 (47:05):
Yeah yeah.

Speaker 7 (47:08):
Yeah, you guys can hear me? All right? Yeah absolutely, yeah, fantastic.

Speaker 8 (47:13):
So, how how has been the airports? I've been wondering,
has a T S A and all that gone back
to normal or this stupid?

Speaker 2 (47:20):
Yeah?

Speaker 15 (47:20):
I had no trouble at all. And Frank, I've got
this just for you.

Speaker 8 (47:24):
Yes, uh oh, this.

Speaker 15 (47:29):
Is at your favorite place, Frank, the place you just
can't wait to get to.

Speaker 1 (47:36):
He's in the Centurion Lounge.

Speaker 8 (47:37):
You, oh my god, you we never go there. You
promised to take me, but we never go.

Speaker 1 (47:45):
It's like it's like you pray for a flight delay
so you can go to Centurion Lounge.

Speaker 14 (47:55):
Rob is an old fashion.

Speaker 15 (47:57):
You're drinking there, Yeah, it's a it's a right old
fashioned the bullet, right old fashioned.

Speaker 8 (48:03):
Congrats, enjoy the drink. But yeah, man, I got no
words because I'm fuming over here.

Speaker 1 (48:14):
Well there you go.

Speaker 7 (48:17):
I guess Frank, I figured it out.

Speaker 15 (48:19):
So this is DFW is actually my layover right now,
believe it or not?

Speaker 1 (48:25):
Really?

Speaker 7 (48:26):
Yeah?

Speaker 15 (48:26):
Yeah, so you know, an hour from home and I'll
be spending two and a half hours here at the lounge.

Speaker 1 (48:35):
Where are you headed, Robert, Vegas? Where are you coming from?

Speaker 7 (48:40):
Pennsylvania?

Speaker 5 (48:42):
Okay, okay for some homemade punkin pie?

Speaker 7 (48:46):
Yes, sir, that's exactly right, Freddy.

Speaker 5 (48:49):
I've been hearing that song a lot lately, so it's worth.

Speaker 7 (48:52):
A shot a good night.

Speaker 14 (48:55):
Which conference is in Vegas?

Speaker 7 (48:58):
Reinvent a w reinvent Okay?

Speaker 1 (49:01):
Yes, oh the ADWS conference? Yeah, okay, good.

Speaker 7 (49:05):
Me and sixty five thousand of my closest friends.

Speaker 8 (49:09):
Do you have a mess tastic node? You're taking with you.

Speaker 1 (49:13):
Yeah, I would guess he has three of them, Frank,
not just not just a node. You know, he's probably got.

Speaker 8 (49:20):
Oh man, if mine work that nice.

Speaker 7 (49:24):
I've got radios, I've got everything nice.

Speaker 8 (49:28):
So this didn't make it a video. But last time
I was travel with Robert going through DFW, I sent
a mess tastic message and one of Robert's nodes starting
going off, and I just kind of laughed. I was like,
and then it was twenty seconds, So I waited about
fifteen seconds. Then I sent another message, and then I
sent another message of Robert's like, I got to stop

(49:48):
this because one of these nos is going do do
do do do do do do do do. As we're
walking and it's constant because I'm just keep sending more
and more messages, and then he gets his backpack off
and he's checks this note no, this node no, this
node no. And it was finally the T one thousand.

Speaker 14 (50:05):
There's a there's a way to turn that off, and
the in the software.

Speaker 8 (50:08):
Yes there is. But still it was just fun just
having Robert just try to check all this that He's like.

Speaker 1 (50:15):
Frank, I know it.

Speaker 15 (50:17):
Yeah, that's that's traveling with Frank for you.

Speaker 1 (50:22):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, sounds familiar, although I feel it.

Speaker 11 (50:27):
Robert, last time I saw you traveling with Frank through
TSA and I saw a picture of it.

Speaker 14 (50:31):
He was getting expected by TSA and had.

Speaker 8 (50:34):
There's the inverse. Now I got a picture of Robert
stuff get he was waiting.

Speaker 15 (50:41):
That's right, that's right, that's what happens again, traveling with Frank.

Speaker 1 (50:46):
Right right, two D and seventy entries.

Speaker 8 (50:50):
Let's do it.

Speaker 1 (50:51):
It's been going up slowly to seventy one, so we
had three hundred a minute ago.

Speaker 5 (50:57):
But yeah, y'all, it's free.

Speaker 1 (50:59):
I don't know.

Speaker 8 (51:00):
Oh who doesn't like free stuff? Doesn't I love free
stuff all the time.

Speaker 1 (51:06):
I'm going to pull the trigger here in a minute, though.

Speaker 9 (51:08):
You snooze, you lose people, good man.

Speaker 1 (51:11):
Me Sha Bear spelled out Gigabarts and morse code.

Speaker 8 (51:15):
Yes, cool love it.

Speaker 2 (51:17):
Does that, It's cool.

Speaker 1 (51:19):
Yeah. I was immediately recognized it. I'm like, yeah, that's
a G that ends in an S. Yeah, oh yeah,
that's Gigabarts. I'm not sure night Bot will know what
it is well, but it didn't seem to.

Speaker 8 (51:32):
Care who he knows that. Almost that time, I was
trying to get my Christmas tree hamstick up before the
live stream. I just ran out of time, but I'll
be getting that going. So send me your Christmas cards.
I'll put them up. I will actually open them. I'm
like the backlog of Qus cards I had to go through,

(51:53):

Speaker 1 (51:54):

We are going back again. K E six G A
E the hell Billy Ham. He was part of the
Ham Radio Club who set up. Yeah, they're they're local

(54:47):
to Springfield, Missouri. It's part of the Ham Radio Club
that's set up. Remind me of the name of that
Ham Radio Club.

Speaker 5 (54:54):
I think it was NIXO. Isn't it NIXA Amateur Radio Club.

Speaker 1 (54:57):
I think that's right, nix Nicks Nick and I ex
I A A and I AM Special Amateur Radio Club.
I believe that's right. It's really cool to have an
actual legit local amateur radio club at that show that
it was sah So, yeah.

Speaker 7 (55:14):
Tickets are on sale today, it's the last day.

Speaker 1 (55:17):
Today is the last day, okay, all right, last.

Speaker 16 (55:20):
Day fifteen dollars off the more admission tickets and today's
the last day.

Speaker 14 (55:24):
Of course, okay, is it is a campaign open and
all that?

Speaker 1 (55:27):
Yet, Yes, you can buy the whole thing right Now,
that's where I'm going for the IP vay VIP tickets
a whole nine yards. So yeah, if we go purchase
tickets here and we'll go bring this up over here. Yeah,
so fifteen Yeah, on sale More Expo twenty twenty six.
General emission parking included for twenty five dollars normally forty.

(55:48):
Let's bring that down there, you guys can see that.
And then the VIP admission is on sale normally sixty
dollars forty five.

Speaker 8 (55:56):
Now, yep, what is the trick? If you're doing the camping,
you only need to buy a You don't need to
buy a car because.

Speaker 1 (56:04):
You're if you are little bah, what is it?

Speaker 5 (56:10):
You need an admission ticket?

Speaker 1 (56:12):
You need an admission ticket. Yeah, you need a camping ticket.
And there was something that there was something that you
guys didn't buy last year because you guys were in
my truck. So you didn't need a parking pass.

Speaker 8 (56:21):
That's it. We didn't need the park But.

Speaker 1 (56:23):
It looks like the parking is included with the VIP
admission and the general admission both, So so I'm gonna
get a VIP admission and an open camping pass and
then hopefully I'm gonna invite Chris Uh, leader of the show.
I'm going to invite him back onto a live stream
somewhere in March of this year, and we're going to
talk about bringing a larger Ham Radio presence to the

(56:46):
more expo Springfield, Missouri in April of next year, twenty
twenty six. So yeah, you guys go check that out there.
I'll put this link. Yeah, today's the last day, Paul says,
So I gotta, I gotta. I haven't bought mine yet either,
but I'm gonna go. I'm on here.

Speaker 12 (57:01):
I got some sad news, okay, because Eddie will be
not making the trip this year.

Speaker 1 (57:08):
Because he's about to be He's about to be.

Speaker 8 (57:11):
Okay, that's good news.

Speaker 1 (57:13):
But you're but you're you're going to be there, right.

Speaker 13 (57:15):
I'm going to be there, But it looks like I'm
going to be there in a tent.

Speaker 1 (57:18):
Okay, Well that's how the rest of us camp.

Speaker 14 (57:23):
Don't be so boogie next time except.

Speaker 1 (57:27):
To have we we won't have to walk as far
to get that. What was that big ass bottle of
whiskey you brought era? It wasn't Ezra.

Speaker 8 (57:39):
Lars.

Speaker 1 (57:40):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. The larceny, so we won't have to
walk across the street to get access to your larceny
this time. You just can't right.

Speaker 8 (57:47):
Next to us. He brought it to us, to be honest.

Speaker 1 (57:50):
Works out well.

Speaker 10 (57:52):
Freddy had one of those big old church that's a
coffee every morning.

Speaker 1 (57:56):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, to brew it on camp. That's good.

Speaker 11 (58:02):
We can Well it's electric, right, it is electric, but
we're gonna st We'll figure out we can bring out.
We can set it up in the food tent like
we I'm sure Jason will have a two hundred and
fifty thousand hour batteries.

Speaker 1 (58:16):
Yes, I will be. I will be prepared with the power,
so we will power of the power.

Speaker 16 (58:26):
Speaking of tents, there are quite a few Gazelle tents
on sale through tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (58:31):
Yes, Gazelle has been running a big Black Friday sale.
Yeah that that sale probably does end tomorrow, but at
the same time they'll be running sales through the end
of the year as well. They'll just spin up another
sale probably sometime next week.

Speaker 5 (58:44):
Yeah, buy one.

Speaker 16 (58:45):
I'm not going to do the truck bed tent this year,
and we might have a camp or like a hiker
like Kyle has. If we don't huh, I'm gonna get
the gazelle.

Speaker 2 (58:52):
I think gazelle is the way, baby, dude.

Speaker 8 (58:55):
They're so easy to set up, They're beautiful. There's oh,
they're amazing.

Speaker 1 (59:00):
Use my I might use my rooftop tent this year
just because I can, so Mike the traveling ham. Can
RVs fit in the camping area? Yes, So the camping
area is behind the field or is it in a
field behind the buildings I should say, And along the
perimeter of the fence is full RV hookups and then
everyone with tents camps and you can you can boondock

(59:22):
with an RV if you want to. There's it's it's
total free for all. Well, you reserve an RV spot,
but if your tent, camping is total free for all.
So yes, see, absolutely you can get a full RV
hookup in one of the camp sites there. I suggest
getting it sooner rather than later because they will fill up.
But yes, you can totally get a totally get a

(59:44):
campsite with with your RV. There. So I want to
use my my rooftop. See, I parked my truck last year,
set up my gazelle and never moved my truck I
rode with Kyle or with Freddy. I think when we
get went, oh yeah, the only time we leave is
go to Poda yep well and to get to go
to BUCkies and and uh. I left my truck there

(01:00:09):
the whole time. And I was like, you know, I
should have just set up my freaking roof top ten.
And I think I might do that this year, just
because I can. I've got a vestibule for it. I've
got a little extended tent that goes out the back
and and by the and i bought a new awning
for the passenger side of my truck and I'll have
that installed. I have it now, I just haven't installed. You,
I just got it. So I'll have that installed by

(01:00:31):
the time April gets here.

Speaker 10 (01:00:32):
So I just ordered the res to hook my awning
to my truck because it doesn't work on the trailer.

Speaker 2 (01:00:39):
I just ordered those today for what oning the oh
goshu the two seventy.

Speaker 1 (01:00:48):
Yeah, I think that's that's what I've got. But what brand.

Speaker 2 (01:00:52):
I can't remember.

Speaker 1 (01:00:53):
Okay, I picked up at Taruka two seventy plus on it.

Speaker 2 (01:00:58):
It's one of the more common one that I had.

Speaker 1 (01:01:00):
Okay, Okay, this one's a fairly new one and it
was a They were running a huge sale on it
at that Overland show in September up in Oklahoma, which
is another show we should all look at next year
as well. I did a video about that they're running
huge sale, huge discount on it, so I was like, ah,
so I grabbed that, and then I've got and I
got the brackets for as well to mount it to

(01:01:22):
the extrusion rack, but I haven't. I just got the
tent like a week ago, and I haven't hunting season,
bad weather, haven't had time put on yet, but I will.
I'll put it on soon.

Speaker 8 (01:01:32):
So the the thing I wanted to say, Jason is
why did that change very change my screen? If you
found a tank radio hoodie last year in one of
the meeting rooms that has a pipe in it, you
are more than welcome to hold on to the hoodie,
But I want that pipe back. It was a good pipe.

(01:01:56):
It was a gift and I would love to have
that back. But that's where I lost that hoodie. And
we were all like, oh uh, it's not in the
meeting room because we we we did one last meeting
and then we're gonna head out and one last not
meeting for one last form and then we're gonna head out.

(01:02:17):
But then it ended up that was the forum. I
forgot my jacket in m and no one turned it in.
I called an ass and I was like, ah, I know, right,
M So I'm bringing my corn pop pipe. So if
it happens again, it's a corn pop, I could go
and buy another one for five dollars.

Speaker 1 (01:02:40):
It's corn corn Cob Frank. But that's cool.

Speaker 8 (01:02:44):
Yep, yep.

Speaker 1 (01:02:47):
I'm actually buying my more expert tickets right.

Speaker 5 (01:02:49):
Yeah, me too.

Speaker 1 (01:02:50):
I'm lucky checking out and I'm not gonna share my
screen while checking out because a lot of you guys
are really.

Speaker 8 (01:02:55):
What's the next thing in the giveaway pipeline we're gonna
give away.

Speaker 1 (01:02:59):
Next, We're going to give away a lightsaber Max from
Power film War. So this is that if you notice,
if you notice this, these things have gone on deep discount.
These things. Are you see the six hundred and fifty
four Oh okay, well maybe they're back up. Oh he

(01:03:21):
had these for like one hundred and sixty bucks last week.
It must have been a this Friday. So no, it's
not that. What I was gonna say was I thought
that these had been discount These were showing for like
one hundred and sixty dollars last week. And the reason
they're deep discounting it is because a new model was
about to come out, probably Q one of next year,
and that will have USB C charging and I think

(01:03:44):
a larger battery. So they're blowing these micro USB one,
which there's nothing. I mean, if some people just have
a stick up their butt about micro USB and you
don't like it, that's okay, that's cool, Okay, whatever, but
get over yourself for a minute. This is a cool product.
Is a very cool products on an eighteen WAT built
in solar panel with a battery. This will run the
seven O five all day long. I haven't tried it

(01:04:05):
on my ft X one field yet. I assume it'll
probably do that, but I haven't actually tried it yet.
That was a little bit weird.

Speaker 8 (01:04:12):
Back wise, it should also run the Gen ninety. I
called and confirmed with them, and and it should also
run my Sea pat machine. I wanted to do a video.
Was it more? I think it was more? And it
was overcast the entire time we're there, so I couldn't

(01:04:33):
do anything with it.

Speaker 14 (01:04:35):
Do you need your credit card number for mac.

Speaker 5 (01:04:38):
You texted it to me already.

Speaker 14 (01:04:40):
Okay, wait checking, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:04:43):
That brand is Nomadic. I just looked it up.

Speaker 1 (01:04:45):
Oh those are good. Yeah, Nomadic Domatic No, no, Nomadic Okay,
yeah those are good. Those are good.

Speaker 2 (01:04:54):
Okay, I'm happy with it.

Speaker 10 (01:04:56):
It's just too far up on the trailer. It would
suit me, it would do better down on the truck.

Speaker 1 (01:05:03):
Yeah, agreed, Yeah, yeah, the trailer's high up.

Speaker 2 (01:05:06):
I almost fall off the ladder. Well, I'm old, but still.

Speaker 10 (01:05:10):
I'm always by myself. I fall off the ladder, I'll
be lying to help me.

Speaker 1 (01:05:13):
I can't get up right right right, Bill?

Speaker 11 (01:05:18):
Do you want me to send you one of those
those devices if you fall? It'll call it, call the EMS.

Speaker 2 (01:05:24):
Suppose it a no, because I climbed up there.

Speaker 10 (01:05:29):
No more, I'm getting it off well, one more time
to get it off there and put it on the truck. Okay,
I'm gonna get a regular r V awning for the trailer.

Speaker 2 (01:05:42):
Nice I got carried away.

Speaker 1 (01:05:44):
I don't know, all right, somebody give me a word.
We're gonna give away a lightsaber.

Speaker 8 (01:05:49):
Max Obi one no.

Speaker 1 (01:05:55):
No, something that people can spell after they've had a
couple of shots. Of whiskey, legett or something that something
that Frank can spell.

Speaker 14 (01:06:03):
Light more light overland? Now is that l I T
E or l I g H?

Speaker 1 (01:06:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:06:11):
Right, yeah, all complicated.

Speaker 1 (01:06:13):
Now how about Colin and VK has it? How about solar?
There we go that solar perfect?

Speaker 8 (01:06:23):
How is that?

Speaker 14 (01:06:24):
Is that the American spelling the solar?

Speaker 1 (01:06:27):
It's la R so yeah, yeah, yeah, solar?

Speaker 2 (01:06:33):
Is there more one way to fall faller?

Speaker 1 (01:06:36):
I don't think so? Solar? All right, we got it going.
It picked up a few of you had typed solar already,
and it picked it up already. So there we go.
We got solar twenty seven entries. Let's go solar tailor,
and there's all the little things.

Speaker 8 (01:06:53):
Oh Jesus, Jason picked one of these names and see
if it's in the list?

Speaker 1 (01:07:00):
Uh well, shoot, man, I can James Hannibal?

Speaker 7 (01:07:06):
No?

Speaker 8 (01:07:06):
I meant.

Speaker 1 (01:07:08):
Is tom G.

Speaker 8 (01:07:10):
Six one or six two fourteen in there?

Speaker 1 (01:07:14):
I don't know, Frank. I mean, look, there's one hundred
and seventy names in here right now. I have not
in alphabetical order.

Speaker 8 (01:07:20):
I'm trying to show all these. I'm just wondering, G.

Speaker 1 (01:07:25):
Tom G tom G tom G Gosh if I could
type geez, Tom G six two one four, Yes, he's
in there.

Speaker 8 (01:07:33):
Okay, Well, then I don't know if I'm gonna keep
showing up James.

Speaker 1 (01:07:38):
James Hannibal's in there. I saw his.

Speaker 2 (01:07:40):
I'm thinking.

Speaker 10 (01:07:41):
I'm thinking the ones that are hidden for a review
are dobles.

Speaker 1 (01:07:46):
Okay, I wonder if that's the case.

Speaker 10 (01:07:48):
I'm hoping sowler with a small lower case, and then
they type it with an upper case to make sure
because they're not. They don't believe that it doesn't matter, right,
do that?

Speaker 8 (01:08:03):
The one nitpick? I do have more I know we
talked about this is their VIP package does not include
a mission.

Speaker 1 (01:08:12):
Yes, I know, and a lot of us are not
used to paying for tickets to a to a show.
We might get there eventually with the overland crew. We'll see, but.

Speaker 10 (01:08:21):
I've never been. I bet I could live without it again.
Never been where to the VIP thing?

Speaker 1 (01:08:31):
Oh well, no, the the reason you get a VIP
ticket is not to attend the event, although I think
we went to that last year and we stayed for
like ten minutes and left. Yeah, the VIP people get
in a day early. Yeah, you can get in. I
think it's Wednesday afternoon with VIP. With regular ticket, you
can't get in until Thursday morning. So true. Yes, if

(01:08:57):
you're writing with someone, that's true.

Speaker 5 (01:08:59):
So the little little bag of stuff.

Speaker 1 (01:09:02):
Right, Yeah, but like last year, you didn't We met
you at the Walmart last year, right, Bill, and you
rode in with Tim.

Speaker 2 (01:09:08):
The last two you guys met me over there.

Speaker 14 (01:09:11):
The first year youtub airport last year.

Speaker 1 (01:09:14):
Oh, that's it might be. I remember you guys got
on All Star and worked it out and.

Speaker 10 (01:09:19):
We went then we went over to the parking lot.

Speaker 1 (01:09:23):
Yeah. We we all met at the Walmart parking lot
and drove in together so we could all camp together.

Speaker 2 (01:09:28):
Was that you Tim had picked me up?

Speaker 14 (01:09:29):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:09:30):
Thank you?

Speaker 5 (01:09:31):
Sn't it?

Speaker 8 (01:09:32):
Yep?

Speaker 14 (01:09:35):
Several places I picked up from a B dub somewhere.

Speaker 1 (01:09:38):
Uh that was that was Orlando, that was I think. Yeah,
I remember that.

Speaker 2 (01:09:48):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (01:09:48):
The reason the reason where I remember all that because
we were all uh conversing on All Star, which was
which was awesome.

Speaker 2 (01:09:57):
I was using Yeah, I was using my bone Yeah
on the phone.

Speaker 1 (01:10:02):
Yeah, you can use the app on the phone. You
can pick up that new Shark or if Mike it'll
connect directly to it, or you can put an all
Star node in your vehicle if you're.

Speaker 2 (01:10:10):
Driving, so affiliate link below.

Speaker 1 (01:10:15):
There's no affiliate link. It's free to join all Star.
You guys joined the all Star for the server. So
I was on there two days ago. Talk to some people,
so I.

Speaker 2 (01:10:24):
Live on it.

Speaker 10 (01:10:25):
I I talk more on all Store than anything else.

Speaker 2 (01:10:29):
Ye, my mouth does not always work. I'm old.

Speaker 9 (01:10:35):
I know the feeling or just my brain.

Speaker 11 (01:10:39):
You know, I've been I've been using my node driving
back and forth to the to the data center. Uh,
local repeaters are they're just not busy. They're busy during
like rush hour traffic in the morning, in the afternoon,
and other than that, it's kind of empty.

Speaker 1 (01:10:53):
So yeah, and.

Speaker 2 (01:10:55):
If you're not in the group, they're not as friendly
as all Star. All Star. There's no little group. It's
like everybody's just friendly, all.

Speaker 1 (01:11:05):
Right, Jody, I'm gonna talk about that in a minute.
Thank you for the reminder. Uh, okay, we have three
hundred and fifteen entries. You guys were much more interested
in this one than that that last q r Z one.
But I mean it's more expensive items, so who can
blame you? So John A C eight x U, Yes,

(01:11:25):
set up your own personal all Star node, connect it
to your interwebs and connect to us. You don't have
to have a repeater.

Speaker 5 (01:11:32):
Of your own.

Speaker 2 (01:11:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (01:11:34):
So it's a hot spot.

Speaker 1 (01:11:35):
And if you don't know how to do it, watch
Freddy Max's videos. Freddy, Freddy, I gotta, I gotta, I
gotta comment on one of my videos this week saying
why do you guys make these videos so long? All
of your videos about how to set up all Star
over an hour? Because I've always done it on a
live stream.

Speaker 7 (01:11:52):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (01:11:53):
He's like, he's like, why don't you do it on
like Freddy Mac does? And I'm like, dude, you know,
Freddy Mack has it. Go watch his freaking video. He
does a better job night do anyway?

Speaker 2 (01:11:59):
Come on?

Speaker 5 (01:12:00):
And they're not done loud yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:12:02):
Right, yeah yeah. And plus I sent him the link
to one of mine that was like twenty five minutes
long because it wasn't live. I was like, I rebuilt
my node. So yeah, I mean, at least he's trying.
At least he's trying, right Yep.

Speaker 11 (01:12:15):
The other day somebody asked me a question and before
I could finished, they said, well, I'll just go watch
Party Back's video and I said work. Well, who do
you think taught Freddy Mack how to do it?

Speaker 1 (01:12:27):
Oh see, all right, let's let's spin this three hundred
and twenty two entries. I'm gonna click click choose a winner.

Speaker 8 (01:12:34):
Got my access right.

Speaker 1 (01:12:37):
There, Tim, A I seven ice.

Speaker 14 (01:12:41):
Not you, Tim, and I got excited there for a second.

Speaker 1 (01:12:44):
A I seven. I see Tim in the chat. Let
us know. Type a message in the chat. Type anything
you want. It'll show up here in the window. Let
me know if you're in the chat.

Speaker 10 (01:12:58):
And when I set my all star, I use Tim
Grayman Potas because of his background music calms me.

Speaker 12 (01:13:06):
I've got so much flack over.

Speaker 1 (01:13:09):
Oh man, there's one in every crowd. I swear. Every
every fifteen videos, I get one guy commenting, No, why
do you use background music?

Speaker 2 (01:13:17):
You know what?

Speaker 1 (01:13:18):
Because everything? Because everything that you watch as background music,
every TV show, every commercial, every movie, everything you watch
as background I.

Speaker 8 (01:13:27):
Enjoy my videos more with the background music. It's just continues,
the energy, it lets you. It's everything I I my
videos without the background music are boring.

Speaker 2 (01:13:40):
I like.

Speaker 10 (01:13:40):
I like some of my videos if I'm explaining or
something or building something with the very low background music.
If I'm doing PoTA, I don't bother. Or if I'm
showing something and I'm not talking, then I'll have.

Speaker 2 (01:13:54):
A little music. But I've had people complain about that.
I can't hear a thing. I can't hear you could
you got that music on.

Speaker 9 (01:14:03):
It's a very fine line of audio levels between you're.

Speaker 1 (01:14:06):
Right, Yeah, you have to you have to make sure
it's not too loud.

Speaker 7 (01:14:09):
That's yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:14:10):
I'm partially death anyway. Sometimes what.

Speaker 1 (01:14:16):
Part of the problem, uh is hold on second, hold on,
hold on, hold on, tim a I seven, I see,
I saw your reply. Thank you for congratulations. Email me
k C five h w B gmail dot com. If
you're in my discord service, send me a demon DM
and discord that's fine too, but email me k C
five hw B gmail dot com. Let me know your
shipping info. Congratulations on the win. We're gonna give away

(01:14:37):
another one of these. It's already ten after eight. We're
gonna we're gonna give you another one of these. Hearing
about hearing about five four minutes, he about four minutes.
We're gonna give ay another one of these.

Speaker 11 (01:14:48):
So so what I was saying was that you can
set the level sometimes of the of the audio and
if it's too low in your dvenchi or whatever, where
you put it just right underneath, you're not having adducted
or anything like that.

Speaker 8 (01:15:02):
Yeah, then you.

Speaker 11 (01:15:04):
Upload it to YouTube and YouTube doesn't think it's loud enough,
and it brings it up that that's true.

Speaker 1 (01:15:10):
YouTube. YouTube will yeah, YouTube will modify it. Sometimes you
gotta gotta.

Speaker 9 (01:15:13):
Be how does it know there's there's sayings you could
turn that off not to Yeah.

Speaker 14 (01:15:18):
And that's that's the thing.

Speaker 8 (01:15:19):
So where where is that in YouTube? Then I gotta
figure that out.

Speaker 9 (01:15:23):
Oh boy, try to remember that I've never actually had that.

Speaker 1 (01:15:27):
I've never had that happen with background music. I've had
that happen with my audio, my my voice audio, but
I've never had that happen with background music. But I'm
but I've heard from other people that that happens, So
I guess it's a thing.

Speaker 8 (01:15:39):
Well, yeah, I tune it where I think it's pretty
good with cams. But then you know, sometimes I'll play
it with the audio speakers and it's too loud. Okay,
if you go to your your hey, give it to
Robert real fast.

Speaker 1 (01:15:53):
Yeah, Robert's gonna drop out. So thanks for joining, buddy.

Speaker 5 (01:15:57):
Take care of Robert seventy threes, Save Fight.

Speaker 1 (01:16:00):
Have a Safe trip.

Speaker 8 (01:16:01):
Man.

Speaker 9 (01:16:02):
If you go to your studio, you get into settings Yeah,
then go to channel yeah, Evan settings Yeah, and under
advanced settings you scroll almost near the bottom it says
video Quality Enhancements and there's two checkboxes. One that has
let YouTube enhance visual quality and another one.

Speaker 8 (01:16:23):
That says let YouTube enhance audio quality.

Speaker 9 (01:16:26):
Unchecked them if you don't want them messing on stuff done.

Speaker 8 (01:16:30):
We'll see how that goes now.

Speaker 9 (01:16:31):
And I just saw that like way like two three
weeks ago on the vid iq channel.

Speaker 8 (01:16:36):
The head of the video about it.

Speaker 10 (01:16:38):
The way I figure it is, everybody's device has a
volume button.

Speaker 1 (01:16:45):
Yeah, but you don't want to be the guy who
you know, somebody's watched a video or three and then
yours comes up and nobody can freaking hear you or
you blow up their speakers.

Speaker 8 (01:16:55):
You know.

Speaker 2 (01:16:56):
No, I you know what.

Speaker 10 (01:16:57):
I run all my I'm no expert first, so all
I run all my videos so that the level is
the same when I when I export it. And then
if if you have headphones on, you might want to
turn it down because I listen to I cannot.

Speaker 2 (01:17:18):
Subscribe to this. Don't watch your own video, just upload it.

Speaker 10 (01:17:21):
I can't do that, who says Frank and Josh?

Speaker 2 (01:17:27):
Okay, Frank and Josh say that.

Speaker 1 (01:17:31):
Like like you don't watch your own video, or you
don't proof your own video before you upload it.

Speaker 8 (01:17:37):
I don't prof the render that's dumped.

Speaker 1 (01:17:42):
That's that's I have that fails, and I have I
pay an editor to proof mine, and I still prove
it because they have screwed up before. So yeah, yeah, exactly, Yeah,
you have to you gotta you gotta prove it.

Speaker 8 (01:18:00):
I have too much.

Speaker 2 (01:18:01):
But I listen and I watch it on YouTube, and
I'm the first.

Speaker 1 (01:18:05):
Like right, yeah, yeah, so I can.

Speaker 10 (01:18:09):
I listened to it on my speakers and if it
sounds good to me, it's good.

Speaker 2 (01:18:14):
Yeah. And then if you don't like it, I tried
my best. Please.

Speaker 1 (01:18:18):
K KBA pk C says Bill. Bill's audio is hot.
It Yeah, Bill, you're a little loud, but you're just
getting excited. It's fine.

Speaker 8 (01:18:27):
I've gone through loops where like, oh, that's not right
a rerender, Oh that's not right rerender, and it's been
like three hours in that final render, and I've got
to the point of know what it's good enough and
if you.

Speaker 11 (01:18:41):
Had the studio version of Da Vinci, it would only
take three minutes to render your video.

Speaker 8 (01:18:46):
No, I'm not saying render time. I'm me like watching
it and then I'm like, oh, or six minutes into it,
I need a rerender for this, and I'll wait a
minute or two. Then I go through and start from
the beginning. You can't start if you're doing quality could well,
you can't start where it messed up because I had
artifacts pop up randomly sometimes in the beginning parts, and
then you gotta tweak the scene so that artifact doesn't

(01:19:09):
pop up again. And now I'm at the point audio.

Speaker 1 (01:19:13):
All right, that's that's your quieter Bill. But audio, Yeah, yeah,
that's better. That's better. You just settle down. You're fine.
I mean you were. You were a little bit louder
than everybody. But it it's it wasn't overly over anything. Okay,
I need another word? Were another one these lights severer power.

Speaker 14 (01:19:34):
Bill is hot hot.

Speaker 1 (01:19:37):
Bill, Hot hot hot hot Bill. I like that Hot Bill.
All one word H O T B I L L
all over case spelling, our case doesn't matter. Hot Bill.
There you go in and Bill was the first one
to type it, hot Bill. That's what I get with

(01:20:01):
hot mill.

Speaker 5 (01:20:02):
You're so hot, Bill.

Speaker 8 (01:20:06):
John S a question. I'm just gonna do a show
of hands. Who still does paper Q s L cards?
When I get them in the mail? I do?

Speaker 1 (01:20:17):
Oh yeah, absolutely when I when I do them.

Speaker 8 (01:20:20):
Mm hmmm. So you got five.

Speaker 1 (01:20:26):
Thank you for the super chat, Joe.

Speaker 9 (01:20:31):
I got two thousand cards. I need to burn burn
what I got because I don't like the design. And
then I decided on the new design and they couldn't
print it. So I'm like, I'm done. I'm not even
gonna bother anymore. It's not worth the hassle.

Speaker 8 (01:20:45):
Who was printing for you?

Speaker 7 (01:20:49):
I forget who.

Speaker 9 (01:20:52):
But I did not take into the color, into the
idea of the printing because you see him y K
and I do not design and see him. Why, Okay,
I might maybe I should, but god, I was like,
I'm done. I'm just done. I don't like what I have.
It's actually kind of embarrassing to me, and I'm like,

(01:21:15):
I'm just doing digital. Maybe I'll do like someone my
very very first qs ALL cards.

Speaker 1 (01:21:21):
But I like them because I've always wanted to plaster
my wall back here.

Speaker 2 (01:21:26):
I like to do that and have.

Speaker 1 (01:21:29):
Me I've always wanted to do that. I don't think
I've got a shot of that way right.

Speaker 8 (01:21:34):
There right now.

Speaker 9 (01:21:38):
Yeah, I don't mind collecting them, but I just can't there.

Speaker 1 (01:21:43):
But yeah, I mean it's been a lot, it's been
months since I've reciprocated. But I've got them all. They're
in a stack. I've got a cigar box with ab
stacked in there. So I need to do that. I
need to sit down, put a movie on and do
that when upcoming.

Speaker 11 (01:21:57):
So i'd say, so I have postcard and I know
I get a lot of them that come in with
in envelopes with first class postage stamps on them. These
are postcards, save a little money, use postcard stamps on them.
And if they get all marked up and scratched up
and everything, that's just part of the journey. That is
part true.

Speaker 14 (01:22:17):
That is part of that story between you and that yeah,
that other operator. And I love it. I love getting
cards like that.

Speaker 1 (01:22:24):
The more I love getting cards for DX as well
a DX especially, you get some card from some country
in Africa you never heard from, You're like, that's pretty
freaking cool.

Speaker 14 (01:22:32):
Actually, so I'm getting.

Speaker 11 (01:22:36):
I've gotten JT sixty five contact cards from seven or
eight years ago, just recently through the bureau.

Speaker 14 (01:22:42):
Oh it's taken that long.

Speaker 2 (01:22:44):
Yeah, it does take that long.

Speaker 1 (01:22:45):
Yeah, yeah, can be two and thirty two entries for
this last one. Don Digidio, thank you for the super
chat buddy. Good to see you back in the chat again.
It's been a while since your live stream. Yeah, w
J three U. Thank you for being here.

Speaker 8 (01:23:01):
Man.

Speaker 1 (01:23:02):
Good to see you back there. Bill or Don, I'm
sorry I was looking at Bill. Good to see you
back there.

Speaker 14 (01:23:06):
Don See Bill is hot. Come on now, that's why hot.
Bill is the hot keyword.

Speaker 2 (01:23:16):
Lesson learned.

Speaker 8 (01:23:19):
Bill's hating me right now?

Speaker 1 (01:23:26):
All right, while we're okay, we got two hundred and
forty three entries, so I think it was was it
ed Ed had said something about POC link now. In fact,
I was gonna mention this earlier because I think this
would be an excellent discussion. Okay, so let me let
me let me give my pitch here. Okay, POC radios
are pushed to talk over cellular radios. I'm sharing a

(01:23:47):
link in the chat right now. Okay. They reached out
to me a while back. I did a video about
their older model. They've got a new model out now
that has FRS built it into it. It takes a
SIM card and it has FRS, so it is truly
off bred.

Speaker 14 (01:24:03):
Also if you haven't done so, all right, what.

Speaker 1 (01:24:06):
The heck was that? Tim?

Speaker 2 (01:24:08):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:24:09):
So so we have so now they have. Now they
have one that works on FRS and on push to
talk over cell either during the month of November. And
I've said this on a couple of I've said this
in my email blast two or three times. If you're
not a member of my email list. Hamradio two dot
com forward slash email Dash sign up, Frank, if you

(01:24:29):
have a link for that put in the chat please
Hamradio two dot com four slash email dash sign up.
Make sure you spell it right unless you have it
saved somewhere, Frank. During the month of November, so ending
in about four hours. Okay. The if you buy one
of these systems today before the end of November, lifetime
free access. Generally speaking, it's fifty dollars a year per radio.

(01:24:55):
So you buy the radios and pairs, you leave one
at home for your wife, you go on a road
trip and you can talk to her during it. That's
what I did in my video. I was driving back
from Gigaparts and I was talking to her and I
was I did a test with him. They the simcard
in them uses all three cell services in the USA, verizont,
Mobile and AT and T. So your smartphone, you say,
why don't use I just use Zello on my smartphone,

(01:25:16):
and that's fine. These are not for everybody. They're not
for everybody. If you can't find a use case scenario
for these in your life, don't get one. But they're
an extra tool in the toolbox. They are not a
replacement for your real radio, even even the FRS ones.
It's just freaking f RS. Okay, it's not that special,
but it's a cool thing to have. And if you
get them during use the link that I just shared

(01:25:37):
in the chat. Thank you Frank Bill that link. Yeah,
oh Bill, oh Bill. I'm sorry, thank you Bill, Thank
you Bill. Poc link link in the chat. I just
shared it once again by today before the end of November.
Free lifetime access, no monthly fees. After you buy the radios,
no monthly fee, no annual fee for the rest of

(01:26:00):
your life. As long as these work, and you buy
the radios without the free fee, then it's you buy
the radios for two fifty three hundred, depend on which
set you get it, and you get one year of
service with them, and then after one year you have
to pay fifty dollars per radio per year.

Speaker 10 (01:26:17):
Three thirty with this discount. With two of those colored
cases sitting in my art right now, and I'm nice,
I can't figure it out.

Speaker 1 (01:26:28):
Can't figure what out?

Speaker 2 (01:26:31):
Do I want to pull the trigger or not?

Speaker 1 (01:26:32):
Oh, you can't figure out if you want to pull
the trigger. Well, like I said, they're not for everybody.
They're just they're They're not for everybody. Some people are like,
I don't see the use case, Well, then don't buy them.
Don't buy them if you don't think you can use them. Please,
don't waste your money if you don't think you can
use them. But the reason I like this company over
a couple of the other companies is because they are
true in their advertising. They will tell you these don't

(01:26:53):
work unless you have a cell signal. Now they work
on all three carriers. So, like I said, if you
have AT and T, you Zello, great. But if you
run out of AT and T service and you're only
in Verizon and your phone's not gonna work unless you
get a Verizon simcard. Also, Okay, these work on all
three carriers inside the USA. If you're out of cell
phone range completely, then they're dead. So they're not a

(01:27:16):
real radio. But if you can find a use case
for them. The fours part is yeah, but it's very
short range, very short range. You're not gonna be able
to talk across state lines back home to your wife
with an f RS radio. So yeah. Anyway, that's the
promotion they're running, uh until the end of the day
today and uh again, if you don't, I don't know.

(01:27:41):
I don't think that these play. Uh, who is that
Papa Bear. I don't think you can create. I don't
think you can talk cross platform between different brands. But
what you can do with these ultra poc link radios
is create your own group. Used to be some of
the older ones, they just they created the group for
you before they shipped you the rate, and you were
just stuck with that group. I can create my own group,

(01:28:03):
and if Bill gets a set and Frank gets a
set and somebody else gets a set, I can say,
here's the QR code to my group. Join my group.
And you can join multiple groups from your radio and
you go into the com menu, you choose the group
and then we can all talk. So they wanted me,
they wanted me to set up a ham Radio two
group to talk, and I'm like, you know what, that's

(01:28:24):
that's cool and all great, but I'd rather people use
All Star, quite frankly, so I didn't never really do that,
but we can. We can talk about that in the
future if we want to.

Speaker 16 (01:28:35):
Some people may not realize too that that three ninety
nine price is too radios.

Speaker 10 (01:28:39):
Correct it is two radio radios and lifetime sin yep.

Speaker 1 (01:28:45):
Yes, ever correct, yep, yep, yep. So yeah, once again,
these are not Tortou Silverland. Don't worry about it, buddy,
because I've been saying the same thing for about four
or five months. Okay, these are not a replacement for
your radio. And if they're if if you run out
of cell phone coverage for all three carriers, they're not
going to work. So they're not off grid. They're not

(01:29:07):
off grid, but they don't. But but they're true. They
they are true or more truer advertisers than some of
the other companies I've seen.

Speaker 14 (01:29:14):
It's not a replacement for radios.

Speaker 11 (01:29:15):
But what it is is a replacement of a communications
device for somebody who does not have a license.

Speaker 1 (01:29:22):
Possibly, yeah, so possibly yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 14 (01:29:24):
It's not replacing your ham radio or your GMRS right now.

Speaker 8 (01:29:27):
But I I am interested in intrigued that these have SRS
built in and that's kind.

Speaker 1 (01:29:33):
Of right cool right frs. But yes, a cool.

Speaker 5 (01:29:36):
Feature right there.

Speaker 8 (01:29:37):
Yeah, needed to happen.

Speaker 2 (01:29:38):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (01:29:40):
Okay, two hundred and sixty entries. Let's choose a winner
for another one of these power Film Lightsaber Max Portable
Solar chargers six hundred and fifty five dollars six hundred
and fifty five dollars for that sucker wow. And these

is which is crap by the way, because we had

(01:30:44):

(01:31:05):
Who do I get a direct message from? Don't send
me a friend request?

Speaker 7 (01:31:08):
I don't.

Speaker 1 (01:31:09):
I don't right take I don't take friend requests from
people I don't know. Uh, but send me a direct
message if you're in discord. If not, just email me
Casey five hibb gmail dot com. And uh, congratulations, thank

Speaker 1 (01:32:47):
Thanks all right, I got some cruise comments in here
I want to address. Uh, don't use cellular at see
always use Wi Fi and WhatsApp or signal Andrew were
i WhatsApp? I hate WhatsApp. I will not use WhatsApp.
I'm not installing WhatsApp. Stop asking me. I'm not saying

(01:33:08):
this to you, Andrew. I'm saying this blanket statement everybody. Okay,
everybody who wants to install WhatsApp built a bog from
our final I'm not installing that freaking crap, that that
spy work crap on my phone. I'm not gonna do it, Okay,
so stop asking me to install webspp Okay, uhik poc
Link delayed my shipment due to lack of dropping chargers.

(01:33:30):
They did ship later and we'll ship the charger. Okay,
that's good, but uh hold on, hold on, hot, I'm
not done. Don Huey been over, been on over one
hundred cues cruises, one hundred cruises. That's freaking cool, dude.
Best HT is HAM two meter at least five watts
best coverage. Yes, I agree. Most of the cruise lines

(01:33:53):
will tell you that you have to get special permission
from the captain to use a HAM radio if you
want to do it like legit, if you want to
trans I mean, yeah, well, if you're on an HT
and talking to your wife, who's also a HAM. By
the way, then you're transmitting. Yeah, but I yes, I
would love to I would love to do that. I

(01:34:14):
had my HT on the last cruise we went on.
We didn't ever actually use it that way, but the uh,
the agreement that well, the website for the cruise said,
don't bring a ham radio one you got to get
permisson blah blah blah blah. I just had mine in
my bag and I went through the scanner and whatnot
and gone on the ship. Nobody said anything to it.

Speaker 2 (01:34:34):
I had.

Speaker 6 (01:34:36):
It.

Speaker 1 (01:34:37):
I've never I've never taken it out and used it
on the boat. I'll take it off shore and use it.
But but that's yeah.

Speaker 8 (01:34:44):
I like to tune down to the marine bands and
I listened to the ship coming. That's been fun. However,
I've never transmitted on the boat. I've never transmitted in
the country. I can't transmit in and maybe one of
cruise as I didn't have the antenna.

Speaker 1 (01:35:01):
Yeah, but I am interested to take the poc link
radios on the next cruise. We don't have a we
don't have another cruise planned. We did a we did
a Mediterranean cruise on no, no, no, I'm sorry. We did
an Alaskan cruise. For our last cruise, we flew to Anchorage.
We spent a day or two there, drove to seward,

(01:35:22):
left out a sewerd, did like a five day, five
or six day cruise and ended up in Vancouver, and
then flew home from Vancouver from there. That was That
was a cool cruise. I really I really enjoyed that
Alaskan cruise. I really did. But we haven't We don't
have plans for another cruise anytime soon. But when when
we do, I'm gonna be taking all kinds of crap.
I'm gonna take mestastic. I was about to say, see

(01:35:43):
link yep.

Speaker 8 (01:35:45):
What do you think about mestastic on a cruise?

Speaker 1 (01:35:47):
I had meshtastic on that boat. And let me tell
you something. Mestastic is alive and well in Anchorage, Alaska.
I was walking down the street in the city of Anchorage,
Alaska and typing on that we were going to lunch
one day and I just said, hey, hello, Anchorage or
something like that, and two guys replied to me, and

(01:36:10):
we sat there and conversed for like ten minutes.

Speaker 8 (01:36:12):
Nice.

Speaker 1 (01:36:13):
Yeah, lots of nodes seen great, great activity, and you know,
they got some tall buildings downtown Anchorage whatnot. So now
I got on the boat. Nothing, nobody on the boat
had it.

Speaker 8 (01:36:23):
I think also the signal in the boat will be
super degraded because you're going through all the metal.

Speaker 1 (01:36:30):
Metal, but you're in but you're on top of salt water.
But but if you go out to an outside deck.

Speaker 8 (01:36:36):
Yeah, so if you're walking around the ship, I'm thinking
about maybe leaving the the hell Cap five in the
room right, and had a couple of other things. But
I think the signal itself will get eaten up pretty fast.

Speaker 1 (01:36:50):
It would, yeah, and especially on those low especially on
those low power eight uh meshtastic nodes. Yes, absolutely, but
I had mine on my hip. I had my T
one thousand, and I had one of the Spec five
which one is it? The Treker Spec Trekker.

Speaker 14 (01:37:08):
You guys summoned Mestastic Dave. He showed up in the chat.

Speaker 8 (01:37:12):
Fantastic Yeah, yeah, he was in there earlier. He was
on one of my I think it was just my
Texas Ham's call and we were talking about Mestastic a lot,
and he's like, every time you say Spec five, I'm
gonna say Sea Studios. I was like, go for it, dude,
go for it.

Speaker 1 (01:37:30):
Man, go for it. Yeah, Seed Studios would move to Texas.
I would be all about Seed Studio. I like Seastood.
They're great, great. Yeah, I mean they're not made in
Texas like Spec five is, but you know they're great.
But no, I I know both of them have really
great notes I had. I had my T one thousand,
which I have on me all the time. I had

(01:37:51):
my Trekker from Spec five that I would leave in
the room or leave on my bag, and then I
would take my pocket with me, my T one thousand
echo my pocket with me. And there was nobody on
the boat that had Meshtastic. I was disappointed in that.
I thought maybe maybe there'd be one or two nerds
on the boat. Nobody, nobody, nobody at all. So anyway, Josh,
what's up, dude? What's it going on? Oh man, we're

(01:38:13):
hanging out. We're about to give away a new bio
Winno battery. No, no Red Odo battery, A red Odo battery.

Speaker 8 (01:38:21):
Does this have a built in heater?

Speaker 2 (01:38:24):
No?

Speaker 1 (01:38:24):
This is a small I think this is a twenty
emp hour so something small in compact for ham radio
ham radio battery, for a battery you.

Speaker 14 (01:38:31):
Could leave in the trunk of your car.

Speaker 7 (01:38:32):
There.

Speaker 1 (01:38:33):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I win one.

Speaker 2 (01:38:35):
I'm gonna give it the frank so he could leave
it in the trunk of his car.

Speaker 1 (01:38:38):
Don't do that for him. He can he can buy
his own He's got a job. He could buy his
own freaking battery. It's not like he's homeless or jobless anymore.

Speaker 17 (01:38:46):
So was he ever homeless?

Speaker 8 (01:38:49):
I tell the ham radio operator.

Speaker 1 (01:38:52):
I tell people, I tell people he was. I don't know.

Speaker 8 (01:38:54):
Just look at his hair. It's all over the place.

Speaker 2 (01:38:56):
True. True.

Speaker 1 (01:39:00):
Let's see. Okay, a lot of people sign up on
the email list today, Thank you guys. Let's see red odo.

the I think it's uh, Tim, you sound like crap.

(01:39:27):
Your a audio is all kind of digital.

Speaker 14 (01:39:30):
Oh yeah, sorry, I'm scrubbing.

Speaker 1 (01:39:33):
Okay, you're good. Now it's grubbing audio and it sounds good. Now.

Speaker 8 (01:39:37):
Ah, that would do it?

Speaker 1 (01:39:39):
Okay, where did it go? I'm trying to look twenty
empower okay, a twenty empower battery, twenty twenty empower battery okay.
So yeah, and so also let me say red Odo,
who I've worked with for a while now, and I
know several of you guys. I think you guys work
with them too. Okay, they have given me an extra

(01:40:02):
coupon for this holiday season that will last through the
end of the year. This does not expire Black Friday.
This is a holiday season coupon. Most of the stuff
in on this website. It says right here auto eight
percent off site wide. Okay, if you use my coupon,
you'll get ten percent off, So an extra two percent.
So Ham Radio ten. Ham Radio ten is the coupon

(01:40:27):
code that you can use on anything on the red
Ota website. I just shared my affiliate link to them
in the chat there, so ham Radio ten will get
you an extra two percent total of ten percent off
rather than the eight percent site wide Black Friday and
holiday specially they're running right now, so huge shout out
to them. You see this this monster battery here in

(01:40:47):
the you probably can't see. It's really small, three hundred
and twenty am power battery. I'm gonna be getting one
of those soon, and we're gonna do some upgrades in
the truck. I'm gonna put that one in my truck.
Nice and that's gonna live in the truck. So let's
let's get way twenty Empire battery for red Odo. Somebody
give me a word, battery. Battery. Hey, that's that's that's original,

(01:41:09):
right there. Battery is the word.

Speaker 14 (01:41:13):
It's better than hot SnO, yeah.

Speaker 8 (01:41:16):
I don't know, man, Hot Bill takes the cake.

Speaker 1 (01:41:20):
Hot Bill was good.

Speaker 2 (01:41:21):

Speaker 1 (01:41:42):

Speaker 2 (01:41:51):

Speaker 1 (01:41:53):
Red Otto will be drop shipping this battery. I do
not have this battery in my possessions, but you still
need to email me with your shipping info and I
will ford it onto them.

Speaker 5 (01:42:12):

Speaker 13 (01:42:13):
D I?

Speaker 1 (01:42:16):
No, no, Uh, it's fact. It's right right here.

Speaker 8 (01:42:20):
So what is that? I mean?

Speaker 1 (01:42:23):
Just build it? It's it's two You just mesh together, right,
that's all you do.

Speaker 5 (01:42:27):
And then you.

Speaker 14 (01:42:29):
Have to solder them.

Speaker 1 (01:42:31):
You do have to saw thought it was just a
riser card.

Speaker 12 (01:42:33):
Well in between that You've got a soldered one to
each board and then they snap together.

Speaker 1 (01:42:38):
Oh okay, No, well I have heads header pins? Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 8 (01:42:42):
What what is that?

Speaker 1 (01:42:43):
By the way, it's the thing that makes it's a
digital interface for.

Speaker 13 (01:42:47):
Yeah, are a bunch of digital modes.

Speaker 1 (01:42:51):
Do you are you selling those cases, Freddy? Or you
you giving away the sto files?

Speaker 5 (01:42:57):
Now, I'm gonna sell them at first. See how they do?

Speaker 1 (01:43:00):
Okay, I haven't.

Speaker 13 (01:43:01):
I've been struggling with a stupid Shopify store.

Speaker 5 (01:43:03):
I think I'm gonna throw a bunch. I've got ten
of them.

Speaker 12 (01:43:06):
It's five that are blue, five that are black, and
I'll throw them on eBay. Do a bite now until
I can figure out how to do an online store.

Speaker 7 (01:43:13):
Do I'd see?

Speaker 1 (01:43:13):
Maybe I have no trouble with Shopify. That's what I use.

Speaker 12 (01:43:17):
Well, it's yeah, but I've never I've never set up
a store as Shopify.

Speaker 5 (01:43:21):
Every time I try, it's not I.

Speaker 1 (01:43:24):
Take I tell you what, here's what you do? Okay.
Rather than paying twelve to fifteen percent on eBay, go
on fiver dot com and hire a Shopify admin and
tell him what you want and have him set it up.
He might charge you eighty hundred, one hundred fifty bucks,
depending on how elaborate you want it. Sure, but that's
gonna be in the long run. That'll be a lot
better than paying eBay.

Speaker 8 (01:43:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:43:45):
So and then you have your own website and it's
good forever.

Speaker 2 (01:43:48):
Cool fight.

Speaker 1 (01:43:48):
So yeah, I f I v v R dot com,
fiver that's I've had a Shopify store for a couple
of years and I wanted to do some upgrades. And
this is when I spun up the subscription service for
the mystery boxing. So I went on Fiverr and I said,
I found a couple of people and I was like,
here's what I want to do, and one girl she
was like, oh yeah, I can do that for you.
And she did a great job. So I think it

(01:44:09):
was like ninety nine bucks something like that. It's just
a one time fee and that's it.

Speaker 7 (01:44:15):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (01:44:15):
I believe that she was. I believe that she was stateside.
You you might get people from India or you know,
Pakistan or whatever, but yeah, and it'll tell you what
time zoned you're in or a lot of times it does.
But yeah, fiver dot com that's yeah, build a Shopify website.
Then it's all yours. One time fee, and you're done,

(01:44:37):
and then you have it forever.

Speaker 5 (01:44:39):
That's what I like, right, two.

Speaker 1 (01:44:42):
Hundred and ninety seven entries.

Speaker 5 (01:44:44):
Dang, that was fast.

Speaker 1 (01:44:45):
That was fast there, every one with that battery. Heck
yeah yeah, yeah, my my Frank, that's good.

Speaker 8 (01:44:58):
H only if I was good with ai. Bill, you
got we'll be having some hot bill stickers coming your way.

Speaker 11 (01:45:08):
Oh my god, Bill, Oh got it.

Speaker 14 (01:45:14):
Never mind, it's coming, It is coming.

Speaker 8 (01:45:17):
You're gonna do the stickers.

Speaker 14 (01:45:18):
I remember the perfect image for that too.

Speaker 8 (01:45:21):
All right, good.

Speaker 2 (01:45:24):
Sleep in Hutsville.

Speaker 1 (01:45:30):
I'm gonna need that. I'm gonna need a copy of
that to Freddy. Set set one of those cases aside
for me. Let me know how much, oh y'all pay?

Speaker 12 (01:45:38):
How you some info you can I'm sending you one
that looks a lot like this. The question is do
you want the magnetic door?

Speaker 1 (01:45:45):
I can't see I can't see a hold on the
second and begging them, uh, the black one there on
on the yeah, that.

Speaker 5 (01:45:54):
One, which I can make them both in any color,
but this.

Speaker 1 (01:45:57):
One, okay, the magnetic door. Yes, that's cool.

Speaker 13 (01:46:01):
Yeah, I'll get you picked up and I'll have your
call sign on there.

Speaker 1 (01:46:04):
Sweet man. I appreciate that. Yeah, problem, Yeah, once you
get your store set up, let me know and I'll
share that my email blast.

Speaker 5 (01:46:10):
I appreciate that. Hey Freddy, yes, sir, and no.

Speaker 10 (01:46:14):
Beggars can't be choosers. But uh, how's that window logo
thing going on?

Speaker 5 (01:46:20):
Did you want me to make that?

Speaker 13 (01:46:22):
I thought you wanted me to just make the logo
I I did.

Speaker 2 (01:46:26):
I have no way of making notes unless okay.

Speaker 12 (01:46:30):
I made the logo for you without the background, but
I will. I'll I've got a cricket and I'll make
you I'll print you out a.

Speaker 2 (01:46:35):
Couple and charge me for it whatever. I think.

Speaker 10 (01:46:40):
He made this artwork for me and it was fantastic.
You know those window overlays that he has on his truck.

Speaker 1 (01:46:48):
Oh yeah, yes, so I was.

Speaker 2 (01:46:52):
I knew you was.

Speaker 10 (01:46:53):
Busy, and I figure, well, he'll he'll let me know.
I mean, now, I know it was a misunderstanding.

Speaker 5 (01:46:58):
And I will get you fixed up.

Speaker 2 (01:47:00):
I'll get you picked up and i'll get you this
take your time, so good.

Speaker 5 (01:47:04):
I got everything moved now, so we're getting comfortable now
in Mexican.

Speaker 14 (01:47:09):
Cricket dude, I.

Speaker 12 (01:47:11):
Got a cricket three maker. My kids bought me and
it's sitting in the box for a year before I
finally took it out. Really terrible but happened, and it's like, yeah,
what do you unpack?

Speaker 8 (01:47:21):
You know?

Speaker 1 (01:47:24):
But uh we had Shane. Shane has a h Shane
has a laser engraver. He's been making leather patches and stickers.
That's which awesome. Looks really cool. He brought me today. Yeah,

that eighteen didn't include those.

Speaker 1 (01:49:15):

Speaker 11 (01:49:28):

fifteen twenty minutes yesterday. It was like eight hours long.
I went in there for very much.

Speaker 1 (01:51:07):

and people show up for some reason. I don't know.
